Is this love? (An Ink x Y/N Oneshot)
(I’ve never written oneshots before, so sorry if what I wrote technically isn’t one. Why did I write it about Ink? Because I kin Ink and because I couldn’t think of anyone else to write it about. Here ya go, Ink simps!)
(P.S: I’m NOT an Ink simp. I would choose Fell, Classic, or Horror over Ink any day.)
Ink perked up when he heard that familiar sound of the most beautiful laughter he’d ever heard. It was… intoxicating? That sounds like the right word. He couldn’t help but laugh along with you. A strange, warm feeling rose in his chest. It felt so fuzzy.
What is this feeling? Ink wondered as he looked over to see what was making you laugh.
A cat video. Of course. What else could he expect to make you smile so much? Ink rolled his eyelights, though he was a tad bit jealous that a video of cat’s failing to jump onto high places could make you laugh more than he could. He decided he needed a distraction from your infectious laughter.
As he started drawing, his mind wandered to the first time you two had met. He doesn’t know how he remembers that day. He should’ve forgotten it by now, but yet he hasn’t for some reason.
~Wooo, flashback, wooo~
Ink panted as Error cackled in glee somewhere close by. His vision was blurry and his bones ached. He knew he wouldn’t last much longer if he continued to fight. He had no choice. Ink held on tight to Broomie before melting into a puddle of ink. He collapsed in whatever AU he’d teleported to, his vision fading in and out.
As he was about to pass out, he heard the most soothing voice he’s probably ever heard. Not that he would remember hearing a more soothing voice. “Are you alright?” That was the first thing he’d ever heard you say. But, of course, he passed out before he could respond. When he came to his senses, he was in an unfamiliar place.
Ink shifted around in the blanket that was covering him. His bones cried out in pain and he winced, stopping the movement immediately. “Error really wanted to kill me this time. It feels like these wounds are going to take a long time to heal.” He muttered with a groan. He wanted to move into a more comfortable position, but his aching bones reminded him why he shouldn’t move.
As he was about to close his eyeless sockets to try and get some rest (mostly so he wouldn’t be forced to acknowledge his bones hurting), he heard the door open. Forgetting about how much his bones hurt, he shot up and immediately felt an immense amount of pain all over. He cried out in agony, barely hearing the footsteps that quickly ran to his side.
“Don’t move! You’ll make it worse!” Your voice rang through his head as gentle hands quickly moved to lie him back down. Ink coughed, the pain so unbearable that it was even affecting his nonexistent lungs. He felt something cold and sticky touch one of his wounds and the pain lessened ever so slightly.
You were quick to apply the salve to his bones. After about five minutes, Ink’s pain was gone and he could breathe easy again. “W-where am I?” He asked, not recognizing the AU he was in at all.
“KoiTale. Don’t worry, you’re safe here.” You spoke so gently to him. He was a stranger, and yet… you weren’t trying to hurt him.
Ink: “I’ve never heard of KoiTale. Must be a new AU. What’s it about?”
As you went on about the symbolic meaning of the popular Japanese fish and how it correlates to this AU, Ink listened intently. He found it interesting, to say the least. He was so immersed in your description of this place that he didn’t notice you bandaging his wounds. When you finished talking, the ache in his bones was minuscule.
“Hey, um, what’s your name? I just realized I never asked.” Ink questioned, looking at you as much as he could without moving his body too much.
You: “(Insert name).”
Ink: “That’s a nice name. Mine’s Ink. Pleased to meet you.”
Ink: “Oh, and thanks for patching me up. You really didn’t have to do that.”
~Wooo, flashback end, wooo~
Ink still doesn’t know what sparked in him that day. But he didn’t mind the feeling since it wasn’t doing any harm. Though he did get very jealous the first time he met your S/O; he still doesn’t know why he was jealous. He perked up again when he heard your laugh, his cheekbones warming up slightly.
Putting down his pencil, he stood from his art desk and went over to the living room. As he sat beside you, he felt you curl up against him. He smiled and wrapped an arm around your shoulders while the two of you watched cat videos on the tv.
This must be a normal thing friends do if you haven’t pushed my arm off yet! He thought as he giggled when a kitten fell off a dresser.
Ink inevitably forgot about the feeling he got around you, chalking it up to be unimportant. Though later he had indeed wondered if that’s what love feels like…
(Koi fish represent: love, affection, friendship, strength of character, perseverance, accomplishment, courage, good fortune, success, prosperity and ambition. I was mainly focused on the first three representations.)

I've been reading genshin sagau for a while now and I loveee your work.
Can I request a cult au where the reader spoils zhongli please 🥺. He need some more love, from the other blogs bullying him so much. I know he just kinda forms a witch hunt on us but I forgive him cus I am a baby who goes soft at apologies.
Also can you do Childe too bc I'm a simp
-sincerely padoru anon
Hi!
I guess you mean villain!Au... If anything, you can write to me and I will write a regular au!
Zhongli:
Zhongli sincerely regretted every time he saw you tremble. He saw how you flinched, as soon as someone raised their voice at you, how your hands trembled, or how you tried to smile, hiding your fear of everyone. He understood that you need time, a lot of time, considering how much you suffered and how much you endured, but he could not provide this for you - at least because he sincerely believed that you could get rid of fear by communicating with sincerely repentant people.
He did not count on your forgiveness - but at least he hoped for your tolerance for them. That you can move on without clinging to the past.
That is why he was very surprised when one day you called him into your room.
Everything was arranged there for you - they had to let into this room one of the mages of the abyss, who was your shield for a very long time, and it was he who helped to equip this room of your temple. You were sitting on the bed - and Morax did not hide how tightly you squeezed the sheet. You were still afraid of him.
-Do you need something, Your Highness? - he bowed to you, waiting for your words.
"Zhongli..." you began, exhaling. It seems that you are still gathering your courage. - "Come please." - he did it in the same second - so that you flinched a little at how quickly he crossed the distance between you. You extended your arms. "I... I can't be mad at you. And I don't want to be afraid of you. So... please..."
He immediately hugged you, trying to do it carefully - so as not to make you fear more. He felt your hands slowly stroking his back and head, and realized that you were calming down more and more. He would be lying if he said that he was not ready to cry - you, his god, against whom he committed such a serious crime... You are ready to forgive him.
Well, aren't you a wonderful and kind deity?
Tartaglia:
The guy you sincerely feared for his bloodlust jumped from one form of apology to another, trying to find something that would help you to forgive him. He knew that you trust him a little more than others - nevertheless, he, as the one who visited the abyss, was able to recognize you soon enough - but seeing your concern at his appearance left a new wound on his heart every time.
His flickering, if you ask you, was sometimes more frightening, because his apologies ranged from gifts and food to the bloody sacrifices of those who still spoke unflattering about you. You didn't know how to react to this guy, because he listened to your requests, but soon everything was repeated again. In the end, you decided to act differently.
"Ajax." - you managed to call before the Harbinger would once again begin to actively offer you something as a sign of apology. His own name from your lips, however, immediately stopped him, forcing him to listen. - "Please stop. Come on, you just..." - you hesitated a little, not knowing how to make him no longer do rash acts.
- "Are you something specific, Your Grace?" - he immediately perked up, noticing your hitch. - "Just tell me - I will immediately fulfill your wish!"
"Come here." - sighing from such an active response, you called him over to you, immediately embracing him, as soon as he approached. Because of this, he a little... froze like a statue, unable to move. "I'm not mad at you. And I'm not offended. It's just... Will you apologize like that?"
- "Of course, Your Grace!" - more cheerfully he responded, hugging you tightly. Laughing quietly, you stroked his hair and back, hearing him muttering in your shoulder that you are a very kind and sweet god, and that Teyvat simply does not deserve you.

→ pairing: basketball player!eunwoo x athletic trainer!reader
→ genre: fluff, lil angst
→ word count: 5.1k ________________________________________________
Your POV
One thing you didn’t expect when you applied to be a student athletic trainer for the university basketball team was to end up dating one of their star players, but here you were: holding hands with Cha Eunwoo–the starting shooting guard–as you two walked into the basketball court.
He gave you a smile and a kiss to the cheek before going off to join his teammates in stretching. You let out a content sigh, watching as he happily greeted the other basketball players, and then went over to the other student trainers.
Usually, you wouldn’t have much to do since the boys were just practicing, but there was someone new joining today, so you and the other trainers had to give her a little rundown on what she signed up for.
“-mostly we just tape up and ice the guys if they have an injury or a muscle strain, but yeah that should be about it. Simple, right?”
The new girl nodded, eyes trained on the court as the team just started their warmups. “Who’s that? Number 97 is hot–”
“And dating y/n.” One of the male trainers, and yours and Eunwoo’s close friend, Rocky said, narrowing his eyes at the new girl as he rested his elbow on your shoulder. “So don’t even think of any ideas to–”
“Rocky,” You scolded hitting his stomach, “Don’t be rude.”
The girl gave you a once over, an uncomfortable smile on your face, as her eyes met yours. “Ah...well, you must have an amazing personality, y/n!”
You were taken aback, did she just call you ugly? You forced a laugh, trying your best not to quip back at her. Rocky, though, had no restraints, “Clearly a better one than yours.”
Before the new girl could respond, the head trainer called her over, a huge sigh of relief coming from you. Rocky clicked his tongue as he stared at her back, “She’s not going to last long with us. I don’t get why you’re so timid when others are clearly insulting you, y/n.”
You rolled your eyes at him. When it came to your friends, it was definitely Rocky and Myungjun who were not afraid to be bold about what they were thinking. “Eunwoo and I have been dating for more than a year now, you don’t think I’m used to people always saying that my boyfriend is out of my league? I just try to ignore it now Rocky c’mon, I know how Eunwoo feels about me and that’s enough.”
“Damn hyung’s handsome face.” The younger male shook his head. You chuckled, the two of you taking a seat on the bench and conversing as the basketball practice went on. During water breaks, Eunwoo would come over to where you and Rocky were sitting, chatting it up with you two in brief increments before resuming practice. He would always pucker his lips up for a peck before leaving, which you would definitely grant and Rocky would pretend to be disgusted.
By the end of their practice, you managed to successfully avoid the new girl, waiting outside the locker room like you always do after bidding Rocky goodbye. Eunwoo smiled once he saw you, immediately draping his arm around your shoulders as he kissed your temple in greeting. “Baby, I’m hungry.”
“Mmm, you want to eat out or order in?” You asked looking up at him.
“Order in, I’m tired.” He said, the two of you already making your way to his car.
--
As soon as you two arrived back at Eunwoo’s apartment, he immediately plopped down on the couch. You chuckled, lightly smacking his butt, “Baby, go take a shower first, you’re sweaty.”
“Wanna take one with me?” He asked blinking his big beautiful eyes at you. You grinned, the offer was tempting, but you already took a shower earlier today and you wanted to order this food as soon as possible. Eunwoo pouted as you shook your head in rejection, getting up to go the bathroom looking like a kicked puppy.
You turned on the television to whatever variety show was on at the moment, barely paying attention as you were looking through the food delivery app on your phone. You turned your head as Bin walked out of his bedroom, no doubt having just woken up from a nap.
“Oh? You guys are back.” He said sleepily, waving to you.
“Binnie, we’re ordering for dinner, do you want something?” You asked offering him your phone, a laugh leaving you at the boost of energy he received from the word ‘dinner’
“You know a way to man’s heart, y/n.” Bin said jokingly as he started looking through the menu. “By the way, Rocky texted me about that new trainer–rude ass bitch.”
“God you guys spread gossip faster than girls.” You said amused, “I told him earlier, I’m used to people saying stuff like that. It’s whatever.”
“I guess, but you know how sad Eunwoo will be if he finds out this is still going on?” Bin said handing you your phone back. “We’ve been telling you this since the beginning, don’t let other people’s opinions get to you. You’re attractive, y/n! And to Eunwoo, you’re the most beautiful person in the world.”
You smiled, touched by his words of comfort, “Thanks Binnie, ah where would me and Eunwoo be without all of your guys’ support?”
“Nowhere because he wouldn’t have had the balls to confess to you if it wasn’t for us.” He scoffed heading to the bathroom.
“Change your mind, baby?”
“You better stay in the shower! I don’t wanna see your dick while I’m peeing.”
You laughed at their interaction, your attention shifting to the television as you patiently waited for your food and company. Within 30 minutes, the three of you were happily stuffing yourselves full with the takeout, talking up a storm while watching tv. You leaned back against the couch when you felt your stomach capacity maxed out, hands perched on your belly as you groaned, “I can’t eat anymore.”
They looked at you in amusement, Bin laughing while Eunwoo rested his hand on your knee, a fond smile on his face as he told you he’ll finish up your leftovers. The two boys then got engrossed in their own conversation of sorts, you listening quietly to the side as the food coma started to kick in. Somewhere in the midst of their conversation, you settled behind Eunwoo, legs draped next to his body as you snaked your arms around his waist, resting your head on his back. He hummed, still chewing on his food as he took one of your hands and squeezed it.
You started to zone out, their dialogue beginning to sound like a bunch of nonsensical noise. Bin looked over to where you were laying, “I think y/n’s about to knock out.”
Your boyfriend turned his body to get a glimpse of you, grinning as you whined from the shift in movement. He changed your positions so that you were leaning next to his side, his arm around your waist as you rested your head on his shoulder. “Food coma?”
You nodded, snuggling into his side to get comfortable. Bin watched the two of you with a smile, scooping up the last of his food before clapping his hands, “Well! you guys being all cuddly is making me miss my bub...so see you lovebirds tomorrow!”
You snort, eyes still closed as you respond to him, “Aren’t they hanging out with Eunbi right now? I saw it earlier on their Instagram story.”
He shrugs, gathering up the trash, “I’m going to crash their hangout because I want to cuddle too. Have fun you two, good night sweet dreams, use protection...or not, be a little spicy!”
Eunwoo rolls his eyes as he picks up a throw pillow and chucks it at his roommate, “Alright bye Binnie.”
It takes all but five minutes before Bin leaves the apartment. The moment you two were alone, Eunwoo immediately tightened his hold, practically pulling you onto his lap as he laid you both down on the couch, spooning you from behind. You let out a smile, hands on top of his as he kissed your shoulder, “You ran a lot today baby, are your legs okay?”
He cutely nods his head, his chin lightly digging into your skin, “My calves are a bit tight, but I’ll probably just roll them out at the gym tomorrow.”
You hummed, rubbing his arm, “Do you want me to massage your legs?”
“It’s okay baby, we’re both tired. I’ll just do it tomorrow.” He said, not wanting to move from the couch any time soon. You chuckled, turning around so that you faced him, your eyes finally blinking open, “If you wait until tomorrow, your calves are gonna be stiff and sore, you might get a muscle cramp. C’mon baby.”
He kissed your nose in response, “You were literally about to knock out from a food coma five minutes ago.”
“The feeling comes and goes,” You grinned, moving to stand up from the couch. Eunwoo pouted at your absence, but followed your movement anyway, taking your hand as you led him to his bedroom. He obediently laid face down on his bed, waiting as you searched his room for the roller stick. “Can we cuddle after?”
“Yes,” You laughed, giving him a kiss before you sat down next to his legs. “Baby, this is your perk for dating an athletic trainer. I need to make sure you’re in tip top shape.”
“But rolling calves always hurt.” Eunwoo whined, already wincing as you started to apply pressure under the back of his knee. You tried to be gentle at first before really going in with stretching his calf muscles, “that’s because your calves are the tensest muscles in the body, they’re put under a lot of strain and pressure from walking and running so it hurts when you try to relax them.”
“I love when you talk medical to me,” He sighs dreamily. You roll your eyes, pressing down hard on the meat of his calves. You felt bad when Eunwoo started letting out complaints of pain, trying to talk him through it and distract him from the pressure on his legs. “Ow ow baby! It hurts!”
“I know I know, almost done baby, I promise.” You said gently, rolling the stick thoroughly over both calves a couple more times, trying to get rid of all the deep knots that accumulated in his muscles. After deciding that he’s suffered through enough with the stick, you put it to the side and began kneading the heels of your palms through his skin, stimulating his muscles gently after the harsh rolling session. Your hands slowly moved north until they landed on his shoulders, briefly massaging the knots out in his neck as well. You ended up laying next to him, cooing cutely as you pressed a kiss to his cheek, “all done.”
Your boyfriend smiled, pulling you into his chest as he kissed your forehead, “thank you baby.”
“You better not ask any of the other trainers to do this for you,” You pouted, a little bubble of jealousy coming up from the earlier situation at the gym. “Except Rocky, maybe.”
Eunwoo scoffed, running his hands through your hair as he met your eyes, “I would much rather have you give me a massage than Rocky. And hey, you better not offer this treatment to the other guys too or I’ll get jealous. You’re my trainer.”
“Deal.” You grinned hugging him tightly, all feelings of jealousy quenched.
--
Game days always had a specific schedule to be followed. In the morning, you two were free to do whatever you pleased, but it always ended up with the two of you procrastinating in bed until 11 am. Eunwoo always ate a high-protein high-calorie meal whenever he had games and today’s lunch was no different. After eating, the two of you began to get ready, which included showering and getting dressed.
Today you wore a simple set of jeans a black crop top, finishing your look with the university sports quarter zip, which you were required to wear for every game. After tying your hair up, you turned to your boyfriend who was just starting to dress himself. You took a seat on his bed, marveling at how attractive he looked as he slipped on his jersey and shorts. “I’ll never get over seeing you in your uniform, baby.”
He grinned, placing his arms on either side of your body as he hovered over you, leaning down for a kiss. You expected it to be short and sweet, but Eunwoo had different ideas, lips still working against yours as your back gave in, laying down on the bed. You whined as one of his hands took place on your waist, rubbing at the exposed skin, “Mm, baby, we have to leave soon.”
“I know,” he said moving his lips down your jaw, “I just wanted to kiss you.”
“You can kiss me all you want after your game.” You lightly chuckled, wrapping your arms around his torso in a hug. He nodded, face buried in your neck as he dug his hands under your body, hugging you tightly. You hummed, caressing his hair soothingly, “Are you nervous?”
“A little, I’m always nervous before a game, baby.” Eunwoo said pressing a kiss to your collarbone, “You’ll cheer me on, right?”
“Always,” You said patting his back, “C’mon, we should start heading out soon.”
He nodded, reluctantly getting off of you and pulling your body up with him. You offered your boyfriend a cheerful smile, reaching up to fix the bangs out of his eyes before cupping his cheeks, shaking his face in between your hands, “You’re going to do amazing today baby, as always.”
Eunwoo smiled at your action, pecking your lips again before the two of you did a last-minute search around his room for your belongings. After getting all that you needed, the two of you bid Bin goodbye, telling the swimmer that you’ll see him at the court later. You took your place in the driver’s seat, wanting Eunwoo to just relax for the short drive to the gymnasium. You dropped him off at the entrance first before going to find parking, having Eunwoo arrive early was more important than your arrival anyway.
As soon as you walked into the court, the players were already doing their stretches, your boyfriend in the midst of them all. You glanced at him briefly before greeting the other trainers, the group of you having a quick pre-game discussion of roles before being dismissed to do your own things.
You actively try to avoid the new girl as the time draws closer to the start of the game, not wanting your energy to get dampered. By now, the other team has already arrived and the stands were slowly starting to fill up. You were seated calmly behind the bench, trying to pass the time on your phone, before your boyfriend took the space next to you, hand automatically going on top of your knee. “You ready?”
“As much as I can be,” He grinned rubbing your kneecap, “Wanna come with me to fill up my water bottle?”
You nod, you weren’t doing anything anyway. The male immediately drapes his arm over your shoulders as the two of you walk to the water station, the two of you already getting excited about your dinner plans after the game. The rest of your friends would be joining you, no doubt, as you already spotted them near the front of the student seating.
You were in such a good mood, anticipating the start of what was going to be a good game. Your university was going against their rivals, so expectations for both teams were high. You and Eunwoo were leisurely walking back to the court, he still had a couple more minutes before he needed to join his team.
“Hey, you’re Eunwoo, right? I don’t think we’ve met before. I’m Hana, the new student trainer. You’re really good at playing!” The girl said walking up to the two of you. You immediately felt your body stiffen at her appearance, trying not to let it show to your boyfriend. He gives the new girl a polite smile, “Ah thank you.”
“If you need anything, I’ll be more than happy to help you.” She said batting her eyelashes sweetly at him. You pursed your lips tightly, jealousy easily building up inside of you. Eunwoo only laughed awkwardly, “I appreciate it, but y/n’s got everything handled when it comes to me, right baby?”
You nod, trying your hardest not to punch Hana in the face at her blatant attempt to flirt with your boyfriend right in front of you. Eunwoo noticed your discomfort immediately, removing his hand from where it was interlocked with yours before slipping it around your waist, squeezing the skin gently. “Well, it was nice meeting you Hana, but I should go back to the team...I’ll look at you when I need good luck, baby, hm?”
You manage to crack a smile, a little laugh leaving you when he puckered his lips out for a kiss. You step on your tiptoes, granting his wish quickly, before pushing him out towards the court. You turn towards Hana and give her a forced smile before searching for Rocky.
You weren’t surprised to find him in the bleachers, sitting and chatting amongst your group of friends. You go and join them with a light feeling in your chest, greeting the other four of them with hugs.
“How are you doing y/n? You excited?” Jinjin asked as you take a seat next to him.
“Yeah! I mean the guys have a really good chance of winning this one, it’s gonna be a good game.” You smiled clasping your hands together. Rocky only scoffed as he pointed at you, “Bitch, I saw Hana approaching you and Eunwoo hyung, spill.”
You throw the younger male a joking glare, “Nothing gets past you, huh?”
Bin immediately cringed at her name, hand palming his forehead, “Oh God, what did she do?”
You shrugged passively, “She just introduced herself to him and said that if he needed anything, she’ll gladly help him or whatever.”
The boys groaned in response, Sanha reaching over Jinjin to tap your leg, “And? What did hyung say?”
“He let her down gently and said that he goes to me if he needs anything–”
“As he should!” Myungjun said indignantly, crossing his arms in annoyance. Jinjin only nodded, “Good boy.”
“If she even tries to homewreck y/n, just say the word and I’ll scream at her!” Myungjun said in all seriousness. You laugh at his claim, “thanks guys, but I think Eunwoo made it pretty obvious to her so it’s fine.”
The youngest sighed giving you a pout, “You’re too nice, y/n.”
“That’s what I’m saying,” Rocky said agreeing with Sanha, “If I was you and someone was flirting with my partner, I’d clock them right in the face.”
“Hey, I wanted to–”
“You should have,” Bin sighed, “What a shame, maybe next time.”
“I usually don’t advocate for violence, but I’d turn a blind eye for this, y/n.” Jinjin agreed. You rolled your eyes at them, “You know, as much as I love to sit here and get lectured, Rocky and I have to go down to the trainer section.”
“We’ll see you guys later!” Rocky said as the two of you stand to go to the bench, taking your seats with the other trainers–and as far away from Hana as you could.
The game was already intense from the tip-off, both sides in a tight match to get a starting lead. The cheers from the stands were just as heightened, giving energy to both sides during baskets or free throws. Their plays started to get rougher from the beginning of the second half, more and more fouls getting called on both teams.
You and the trainers were busy as well, assessing each player during substitutions and icing whenever they came back to the bench. By the third quarter, your team established a good six-point lead, the energy of your section high from Eunwoo’s back-to-back 3 pointers.
You could distinctly hear Myungjun’s scream as he shouted Eunwoo’s name, a laugh coming from the bench at his volume. You hid your face in Rocky’s back, second hand embarrassment coming from the two of you at your friends’ loud cheering tactics.
You even spotted Eunwoo letting out a smile as both sides prepared for a free throw, your boyfriend giving a thumbs up to the guys in acknowledgement. His gaze then shifted onto you, your cheeks flushing as he shot you a heart-fluttering wink, a smile gluing itself onto your face.
You watched with pride as his concentration zeroed back in on the game, his team playing impeccable defense as they raced to your side of the court. After a couple back and forth relays, your team was on offense, trying to calm down the tensions as they strategized their next play.
It all happened so fast. The opponents stole the ball from your point guard, commencing a fast break. Eunwoo sped across court, the defense of your team depending on him and another player.
“Eunwoo–screen!”
He followed the instructions of his teammate well, placing his body in front of the opponent as he tried to defend your team’s basket. Unfortunately, the momentum of the other player was too much, both players roughly colliding and falling on the court.
You gasped in horror, immediately standing up from your seat as the referee blew the whistle to stop the play. Your teeth dug into your lower lip in worry as Eunwoo remained on the floor, clutching his waist in pain as some players and the referees surrounded him. The head trainer jogged onto the court, kneeling in front of Eunwoo to ask if he was okay.
The gymnasium was quiet, looking on to the scene that was unfolding in the center of the floor. Slowly, the trainer helped Eunwoo stand up, your boyfriend leaning his weight on the male as he limped off to the side, the coach substituting in the other shooting guard in place of Eunwoo. Both sides started clapping in respect, as they always do when someone gets injured during a play.
The head trainer looked to the group of you, “someone help me with Eunwoo.”
Before you could even respond, Hana beat you to the chase raising her hand, “I can help.”
“y/n,” Eunwoo said, eyes only on you. The head trainer looks between you and Hana, sighing, “Decide amongst yourselves, and fast.”
“It’ll give me more experience-”
“No, I want y/n.” Eunwoo said seriously, not even giving her a chance. The head trainer ushers you over, your feet finally taking a step with the help of Rocky pushing you forward. You accidentally shove Hana out of your way as you approach Eunwoo and the trainer, taking some of your boyfriend’s weight as the three of you walk to the locker room.
Once in the locker room, the head trainer immediately started assessing Eunwoo’s waist, trying to determine whether he needed to be sent to the hospital for a scan. Quickly and quietly, you follow the trainer’s lead, offering your assistance when he needed it. All the while, you hold Eunwoo’s hand as your boyfriend was trying not to think of the pain in his lower back.
“Do you think you can walk, Eunwoo?”
“I don’t know, there’s a sharp pain in my waist if I try to turn my body.” Eunwoo said attempting to rotate his upper half.
“No no no, don’t move. Let’s get you to the hospital to make sure there isn’t anything broken.” He sighed taking out his phone to call the medical team, “y/n, I’m sure you’ll be accompanying your boyfriend. Text me Eunwoo’s updates, okay?”
You nodded, briefly leaving Eunwoo’s side to gather both his and your things. Within the next five minutes, a group of EMTs entered the locker room, lifting Eunwoo onto a stretcher and rolling him to an ambulance, you following closely behind.
You didn’t say much on the way too the hospital, your mind too preoccupied with worry and thinking about the worst-possible scenario for your boyfriend. Even when you arrived at the hospital, Eunwoo was immediately whisked away to get some scans and X-rays done, you being escorted to the waiting room in the meantime. It seemed like forever until a nurse approached you, leading you to the room where Eunwoo was being held.
You let out a sigh upon seeing him, almost being moved to tears as he offered you a smile, “You’re smiling? Cha Eunwoo, I oughta–”
“Baby, I’m okay.” He chuckled lightly, hand outstretched to meet yours. You frowned, putting both of your bags down to the side as you took a seat by his bedside, “Are you okay? What did the doctor say? I need to update the trainer and your coach too.”
“Nothing’s broken,” He said first, attempting to ease some of your anxiety. “The doctor said I had a nasty fall that bruised my coccyx so there’s a lot of inflammation to the area. They gave me some pain medication so I don’t really feel anything right now, but I should be discharged tomorrow. And then he gave me a referral to a chiropractor who I’ll see in about two days. But baby, I’m okay, promise.”
“You can’t play though,” You said softly, hands fiddling with his fingers, “I feel like I’m more upset than you.”
“I played hard today so I don’t regret anything.” He said simply, “it sucks that I couldn’t finish the game, but injuries are a part of being an athlete, you know that baby. Besides, from what the doctor said, I shouldn’t be out for too long, maybe just a game or two. I told him I’m in especially good hands because you’re gonna take care of me.”
You said nothing, still not fully believing that he’s taking this situation so well. “Baby...give me a smile, hm? I’ll feel much better if I see you smiling.”
Mustering up the brightest smile that you could, you finally looked up at his face. His features only softened, knowing that you were trying your best to stay strong for him, “Are you still worried?”
“Baby, you’re in the hospital.” You said as if stating the obvious, “How could I not be worried?”
“You’re so cute being all worried about me,” He teased squeezing your hand. You scoffed, finally easing up a little at his flirting. “You laughed! I heard you laugh just now!”
“You’re annoying,” You said as you took out your phone to give the head trainer updates on Eunwoo’s condition. After you pressed send, you immediately received a call from Sanha, “Hello?”
“Is Eunwoo hyung okay?!” “Is he dying?!” “Eunwoo no he’s too young to die!”
You flinched at their loud volume, turning your phone on speaker so that you and Eunwoo could both respond to their chatter. “Guys, he’s not dying.”
“I’m okay,” He laughed taking your phone. “Hold on, did we win?”
“Are you fucking serious? That’s what you wanna know?!” Myungjun scolded into the phone. You chuckled, the guys talking over each other again as they announced they were on the way to the hospital. “They never said if we won or not.”
“I guess you’ll find out when they arrive.” You said, patting his cheek as you stood, removing your sweater. “Do you want some water, baby? I could go get some.”
He shook his head, puckering up his lips for something else. “Please? I’m injured.”
“You’re going to use this to your advantage, aren’t you?” You asked leaning down to grant him a quick kiss. “Maybe.”
After handing Eunwoo his phone, you went to the bathroom for a little bit before coming back and taking a seat on the hospital bed that he so highly encouraged. “If we get scolded by the nurse, I’m blaming it on you.”
“It’s not like you’re laying in bed with me, baby. We’ll be fine.” He said putting his hand on your thigh. He rubbed your cloth of your jeans gently, thinking to himself as you responded to messages on your phone. “Baby, you know I love you, right?”
You made a sound of confusion, looking up from your phone and meeting his eyes, “Hm? Of course I do. I love you too. Why, all of a sudden?”
“Just, when Hana was talking to us earlier and when she volunteered to try and help, I could see that you were uncomfortable.” Eunwoo said gently, “It annoyed me too, to be honest. Like what else did I need to do to show that I’m dating you.”
“Don’t worry about it,” You said stroking his hair, “I’m used to people thinking that they can steal you away just because they’re prettier than me or more handsome than me or whatever. It doesn’t bother me that much anymore, baby––and it shouldn’t bother you too.”
“That’s so fucked up, y/n, how can that not bother me?” He frowned. “You are the most attractive person in my eyes, baby. If anyone pulls this shit again, I swear I won’t let it slide.”
“I know,” You said quietly, kissing his cheek. “I love you.”
“And I love you,” Eunwoo said, “I don’t want you to ever forget that y/n, you’re mine and no one can do anything to change that.”
“Mmm, I’m lucky that you and the guys always defend me, aren’t I?” You lightly smiled, “God, you have no idea how many times Rocky cursed Hana out in the past week.”
“As he should,” Eunwoo nodded kissing the back of your hand, “see, this is why they’re my friends.”
“Speaking of our friends.” You said looking at the door, “I can hear them coming.”
Your boyfriend chuckled, both of your attentions at the door, which shortly was opened by five boisterous guys. The sound in the hospital room suddenly increasing tenfold at their appearance, all five of them crowding and fussing around the bed. You giggled, sharing a look with Eunwoo as the guys started talking all at once. He grinned, listening until the end of their rambles. Although he was injured, Eunwoo noticed that he couldn’t be feeling any happier. He had no doubt that he would have a speedy recovery, especially if you and his best friends were right by his side. _______________________________________

That Escalated Quickly
Summary: Reader goes to a party with her friends to gather info on a new group of vampires in town that want Klaus dead. However, she’s kidnapped and Klaus must rescue her. The result? An eternity with the love of her life I suppose.
TW/CW: Klaus Mikaelson x Female!Reader. Canon violence ig? Blood, gun and gunshot wound, knife and stab wound, yeah canon violence about sums it up well.
Requested?: No
Word Count: 1,788
A/N: So, I googled whether a human dying with Klaus’s blood in their system would actually make them a vampire but I didn’t find anything so let’s just assume it would lol. Also, this turned out way longer than I had expected/planned. It’s been quite a while since I’ve watched tvd so I apologize if the transition is inaccurate :/ Anyway, I hope you enjoy the read! Requests are open and as always, love to all! P.S. when I say I would simp for this man... he and Elijah would be the death of meeeee.
Prompt: “Too bad the party is going to be hosted by people who want you dead. I heard they have a chocolate fountain.”   “Don’t tempt me.”
Tumblr media
Your POV
I adjust my outfit in the mirror as my boyfriend enters the room behind me. “My don’t you look ravishing,” he says as he wraps his arms around my waist and places soft kisses along my neck. I giggled at the tickle of his stubble and worm my way out of his arms to add the finishing touches to my outfit.
I notice him pouting out of the corner of my eye and make my way back to him as I finish my outfit, “Too bad the party is going to be hosted by people who want you dead. I heard they have a chocolate fountain.”
“Don’t tempt me,” he responds as I kiss his cheek and make my way out of our room to head downstairs and join the others. He follows closely behind and when I finally come to a stop downstairs, he wraps me in his arms once again and this time he full on buries his face in my neck. I can tell he’s not happy about the current mission. There’s a new group of vampires in Mystic Falls, the leader of which does not like Klaus at all. From what I heard it’s probably for a good reason but I’m not exactly keen on letting my boyfriend get killed for a mistake he made in the past.
Klaus is under orders to stay home and Elijah and Rebekah are staying behind to ensure that he follows said orders. Elena, Jeremy, Bonnie, Matt, Alaric and myself will be mingling among the party guests in attempts to pick up any information we can about the new vampires but of course at the request of Klaus and supply of Alaric and Jeremy, we’ll all be armed with stakes. Damon, Stefan, Caroline, and Tyler are all tasked with discretely patrolling the perimeter and listening for whatever they can. For the most part, they’re there in case we need back up.
I take the stake offered to me by Alaric and stuff it into the sleeve of my jacket and look around to make sure everyone is ready. As they are, I pry myself away from Klaus and press a quick kiss to his lips before heading out, “I’ll be fine, babe. Try not to worry too much while we’re gone.” I join the others outside and then we head off for the party.
Upon entering the house, my senses are already overwhelmed by the smell of booze and the deep bass thumping music. I follow Elena and Bonnie off towards the kitchen for a drink and leave the guys at the door looking around like lost puppies. I glance back and chuckle at the looks on their faces before turning back around to make sure I don’t lose Elena and Bonnie. We somehow manage to find something non-alcoholic in the kitchen and pour each of ourselves some to drink before departing the kitchen to wander among the crowd filling the large house.
Everything goes without a hitch for quite some time but the information pool is pretty dry. Finally, I decide that my bladder can’t take much more and head for the bathroom with promises to Elena and Bonnie to meet them and the guys back in the kitchen when I’m done. I find the bathroom without any issues, do my business, and then start to head back to the kitchen when I bump into a man who’s blocking the long hallway. “Uh, dude? Could you move? I need to get through,” I say as I try to go around him but he sidesteps to block my path.
“You’ll make excellent bait,” comes a scratchy voice behind me.
I turn around to face the newcomer, “Excuse me?”
“His scent is all over you. Don’t act stupid,” is his only answer. Shit. I drop the stake out of my sleeve and into my hand but before I can even begin to think of an escape plan, the man behind me grabs the stake and tosses it off behind him. Next thing I know, everything goes black and I have a splitting headache.
Third Person POV
Elena and Bonnie pause their conversation as Alaric, Jeremy, and Matt make their way over. Elena tilts her head, “Hey, did you guys happen to see (Y/n) on your way in here?”
They all shake their head and Alaric answers, “No, why? Should we be worried?”     Elena and Bonnie share a look. “Possibly,” Bonnie answers, “She went to the bathroom about 20 minutes ago and still isn’t back.”
“I’ll go outside and let Damon and the others know. You four split up and see if you can find her,” Alaric orders before heading to the front door, the others splitting up to search as he does. Once he steps outside, Alaric pulls his phone out and dials Damon’s number.
It only rings once before the oldest Salvatore picks up, “Yeah, what’s up?”
“We’ve lost track of (Y/n) the girl’s said she went to the bathroom about 20 minutes ago but they haven’t seen her since. They’re inside with Jeremy and Matt looking for her now,” Alaric answers promptly.
“Alright, looks like they took the bait. I’ll let Elijah know, we’ll need Klaus to track her down,” comes Damon’s response.
“Are we sure that’s a good idea? This guy wants Klaus dead,” Alaric inquires once again for the third time this evening.     “I told you, Klaus can handle himself. The only reason he’s not here is because (Y/n) insisted that he stay out of danger,” Damon replies with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
“Okay, if you say so. I’ll round up the others and we can head back to the house for him,” Alaric says before hanging up the phone and heading back inside. Almost immediately he finds Elena, Bonnie, Jeremy, and Matt waiting for him.
Elena who’s on the phone perks up, “Hello! (Y/n)? Where are you?” She’s quiet as whoever is on the other end of the line says something. She looks at the others with concern plastered across her face, “I swear if you hurt her-” she’s interrupted and listens for a moment before hanging up the phone angrily and storming out of the house with the others in hot pursuit. Elena stomps over to where the vampires and werewolf have gathered, “They have her. They gave an address and said to make sure Klaus comes alone.”
“Oh, he’s going to be pissed,” Tyler adds.
“What are we going to do? We can’t just send Klaus in alone, can we?” Caroline questions the group.
Stefan, Damon, and Alaric all seem to share a look before Stefan answers, “We’ll leave that decision up to him.” With that, everyone climbs into the vehicles and heads back towards the Mikaelson’s home.
When the group piles out of the vehicles and steps inside the house, Klaus storms over, “Where is she?”
“Klaus, would you slow down and get your head on straight before you go barging into danger?” Rebekah pleas with her brother.
    “Where. Is. She?” Klaus barks.
Everyone exchanges glances at each other, silently arguing over who will be the one to tell him. Finally, Elena speaks up, “There’s an old warehouse just outside of town. They have her there. They said to come alone.”
Without saying another word, Klaus is gone. Everyone looks to Elijah who takes a deep breath, “We’ll follow but we’ll keep our distance. If I know my brother, he won’t want to put her in any more danger than she’s already in, even if it means risking his life.”
As they all head off in pursuit of Klaus, Rebekah speaks up again, “Surely, they can’t actually kill him, can they? He’s a bloody Original for crying out loud.”
“I don’t know, Rebekah. All we can do right now is hope for the best,” Elijah answers.
Your POV     I open my eyes slowly but the bright lights overhead still hurt my eyes. I look around and find myself in an old abandoned warehouse. My arms are chained to a rafter above my head and my feet are shackled to the floor. A tall, scraggly looking man steps into view, “Ah you’re awake.”
I recognize that voice as one of the men that ambushed me, “You’re pretty brave, you know that? You must be to kidnap the girlfriend of an original vampire.”
“Awwww boo hoo, he’s getting what he deserves,” the man mocks. Then the front door of the warehouse is kicked down and in walks my boyfriend.
I glare at him with a frown on my face, “I thought I told you to keep your ass out of danger?”
“Did you really think I’d listen?” he responds before launching himself after the men around me. It seems almost instantly that the men are wiped out. However, not before one of them manages to run me through with a knife. I can tell I don’t have long but Klaus breaks the chains holding my arms up and gently lays me on the ground, placing my head in his lap. He bites a gash into his forearm before placing it to my lips. I can sense the others gathering around us as I let Klaus’s blood enter my system. Within mere seconds the wound on my abdomen closes up and stops bleeding. Klaus helps me to my feet and we begin to follow the others back out to the vehicles. Suddenly, I hear a gunshot and feel immense pain in my back.
The man swears but is quickly cut off by Elijah who rips the man’s heart out of his chest. Klaus clutches me close to him, “I’m sorry, love. I should’ve been more careful.”
I laugh softly, “It’s alright, this was bound to happen eventually.”
When I wake up again, I find myself in mine and Klaus’s bedroom. Upon entering the room, Klaus notices that I’m awake and offers me a glass of what’s presumably blood. I down the glass as he climbs into bed beside me and wraps his arms around me. He presses a kiss to my forehead before asking, “What did you mean when you said that this was bound to happen eventually?”
I shrug and wipe my mouth, “It’s not like I want to grow old and die when I have such an amazing boyfriend and friends that I’d leave behind.”
“I suppose that’s fair, but I’d much rather you not have to go through all this,” he replies quietly.
“Don’t start blaming yourself. That will only make matters worse. Besides, I have basically have the professionals of how to be a vampire to teach me, I’ll be okay,” I laugh softly and cuddle closer into his chest before dozing off to sleep.

Levi x Handmaid!reader (The Handmaid’s Tale x SnK - crossover) // Part. 1
Pairing: Levi Ackerman x Reader (also Erwin but not romantically)
Disclaimers: Considering what the Handmaid's Tale is talking about, expect to have some shocking scenes in this. If you are not sure, please look out for a summary of the show on the internet before reading. This story will contain sensible topics if you are not comfortable with the followings, please don't read this story ♡
Also, yeah the characters will be slightly OOC, because of the nature of the story I couldn’t do it differently, I know Canon Erwin would never endorse Gilead, it literally hurts me to write him as this disgusting Commander... Sorry in advance for any Erwin’s simps !

- “Blessed be the fruit.”
- “May the Lord open.” responded mechanically Y/N, she listened absently to Aunt Olga who was explaining how exciting it was to be assigned to your first family.  Well, ‘family’ was a weird word to use to describe the home you were going to live. Aunt Olga told you it was an high profile Commander, (that’s maybe why she chose you, as she often said you were quite the ‘docile’ one) the weird thing is that he didn’t have a wife, Gilead only assigned handmaids in families composed of a wife and an husband normally. But you guessed being an high dignitary had it’s perks.
-”Remember, the Commander is inviting you in his home, that’s an immense privilege! You are going to give him an heir, what a blessed mission to have for your first time!” said Aunt Olga as she beamed at the van’s ceiling. You were looking down, the white bonnet on your head hiding your eyes rolling at Olga, you often thought that the older women strangely envied the handmaids, you don’t really know what was to be envied, but nonetheless the van finally stopped and the back door opened.
You were now standing at the front door of an old victorian house, one step behind Aunt Olga. A Martha opened the door and leaded the two of you to the living room. The whole time you kept your head low, you didn’t know how the Commander was like and you certainly didn’t want to anger him if he was one to like protocol, considering his rank in the Sons of Jacob he probably was not the one you could get friendly with. It’s not like you wanted to be friend with the man who will try to impregnate you anyway.
-”Ah! Commander Smith, Blessed be the fruit!” suddenly said Aunt Olga, “May the Lord open” a deep voice said back. “May I present you ‘Oferwin’, your handmaid.” said Olga while pushing you softly towards the Commander, you didn't dared to look up, only seeing the feet of the man, suddenly an hand went under your chin and lifted your head up. In front of you was a very tall blonde man, he looked quite intimidating and was wearing the black uniform of the Sons of Jacob, you gulped, just by looking at the man you knew he was not going to be friendly or nice with you. He was looking at your eyes and then studied your face, he took a step back and looked at you figure “She is quite small.” said the Commander now looking back at Aunt Olga, you clenched your fists at the man’s words, you were used to being treated like an object since Gilead took over the power, but this man had the nerve to do it in front of you, and you were unable to defend yourself.
You stopped listening as the Commander and Aunt Olga were talking about you  like you were the new couch they wanted to buy for the living room. Suddenly a smaller man with black hair entered the room, next to him was the Martha that opened the door earlier. The Commander placed his hand on your shoulder and turned you towards the newcomers, you tensed at the man’s touch, “Oferwin, this is my driver ‘Levi’ and my Martha.” You looked at the two people in front of you, the man seemed like he didn’t want to be here (you couldn’t blame him for that), like every woman in Gilead the Martha was looking at her feet, with this resigned look that you often saw among the other handmaids at the Red center. “Under his Eye” you quickly muttered.
-- TIME SKIP -- a few days later
The first few days at the Commander’s house went surprisingly fine, most of the time he was working outside or in his office, so you rarely had the occasion to talk to him. You spent your days in the kitchen with the Martha, the two of you went along very well, but you both tried to hide it. Gilead is not really found of female friendships, it’s probably because they were afraid of what could be said between women, at least that’s what an handmaid said back at the Red center. “Can you bring this to Levi?” asked the Martha, she was holding a tray with a cup of tea and an apple on it. You nodded and went to the garden, the Commander must have come back home, Levi was cleaning the black Range Rover when you stopped in front of him. The slim man took the tray and murmured a ‘Thanks’, not looking at you the whole time. You slightly frowned you eyebrows, since you arrived it seemed like Levi never dared to look at you in the eyes, you wondered if the Commander was one of those man who ordered his staff to not look at the female staff. The two men seemed relatively close and Levi didn’t behaved the same way with the Martha, so it definitely wasn’t an order from the Commander. You thoughts were stopped when a red van entered the gate. Aunt Olga came out from the van and headed towards you a huge grin on her face, you shivered at the older woman’s face, how can a smile be so terrifying?
“Oferwin! How are you? The Commander told me you behaved really well, I’m happy to hear that” said Aunt Olga with her hands wrapped around you arms. She didn’t let you answer and looked at Levi, “Oh, I didn’t see you there, Blessed be the fruit!”, Levi looked at her with no emotion on his face, nodded his head slightly and left. Aunt Olga’s smile left her lips, the older woman seemed rather taken aback by the man’s indifference, she shook her head and looked back at you. “Today is a big day Oferwin, you will have your first Ceremony with the Commander!”. Your whole body tensed at the woman’s words, you knew it would happen anytime soon, but it still came as shock to you. Your brain had convinced itself that maybe the Commander would have forgotten for some reasons.
You were now in the Commander’s office, standing behind Aunt Olga who was sitting on a chair in front the desk. Levi and the Martha were in front of you, standing behind the Commander. “Now, normally the Ceremony is between an husband, his wife and his handmaid, but considering the exceptional arrangement here, we have to make some adjustments...” said Aunt Olga, the Commander looked at her with this superiority gaze that men of high rank arbored when talking to a woman in Gilead. “Of course, the Ceremony is sacred and we should try do it in the most traditional way... Do you have any suggestions Aunt Olga?” asked Commander Smith. The older woman smiled at the man’s words, “I knew you were a fervent follower of the Bible sir, well I suggest your Martha ta-” Olga couldn’t finish her idea as she was interrupted by the Commander, “No.” simply said the man. Silence fell in the room, you could see that Aunt Olga didn’t knew if she was allowed to talk back after the sudden interruption. “A Martha’s place is in the kitchen, I don’t want her my bed.”. You flinched at the man’s words, you tried to meet the Martha’s eyes but she was looking down at the floor. You bit you lips, to try to stop yourself from saying anything. Suddenly the Commander’s lips began to form a small smile, “My driver will be perfect for this!”, you immediately looked up at the Commander, forgetting the protocol, you could see Levi was even more shocked than you, and looked at he back of the Commander’s head with an almost angry look? “B-but sir, this is a man...” whispered Aunt Olga, the older woman seemed at lost for words, “Levi is very loyal, don’t worry Aunt Olga he will be perfect for this, it’s not like this man have any feelings after all, he only lives to protect and serve me, he ought me his life...” said Commander Smith with a grin. Levi was now looking at the floor, but you could see that his body was tensed, his fists clenched at his sides. The Commander’s words signed the end of the conversation, Aunt Olga knew her place and she didn’t dared to say a word.
Part 2 If you have any questions/suggestions/request my ask is open ^^ Also don't hesitate to ask, if you want to be on the taglist.

Team Reactions to Discovering You and Ukai are Expecting
Tumblr media
A/N: Keishin Ukai being the absolute love of my life + my babies at the daycare being extra cute and making me soft all week = this
Formatting on tumblr will absolutely be the death of me.
Tumblr media
Takeda-sensei —
Ukai told him immediately, inviting Takeda for some celebration drinks and letting him know that he would be missing a few practices here and there to spend more time with you. Ukai would die before missing one of your OB appointments.
Takeda is fully understanding and excited for his best friend, albeit a little nervous when Ukai suggests asking his grandfather to fill in for him.
It was actually Takeda who accidentally let the cat out of the bag to the team.
Your appointment that day went smoothly and ended early enough giving Ukai enough time to rush to practice after dropping you off at home.
When Takeda saw Ukai walking into the gym, he asked how everything went/did the doctor say anything.
The team’s ears immediately perked up when they heard “doctor”. The fact that Ukai smoked like a freight train was no secret, though he swore to you he’d cut back for the baby.
Tumblr media
Hinata Shouyo —
Does not get it at all. It has to be spelled out for him when Takeda mentioned a doctor to Ukai.
“Coach? Are you okay? You’re not going to die or anything?” the redhead asked, tears welling up.
“What? No!” Ukai yelled, shocked and mildly offended that the team thought that low of his health. “Not my doctor--(y/n)’s.”
“Why does she need a doctor? Is she okay?”
Not wanting to miss his chance to humiliate Hinata and feeling like he could say something since there was no getting out of it for Ukai, Tsukki answered “She’s expecting, dumbass.”
“Expecting what?”
Once he understood, though, Hinata would be almost as excited as Ukai.
As soon as he sees you again, he asks when will he be able to teach the baby volleyball.
Tumblr media
Kageyama Tobio —
Look at him. If it’s not about volleyball, he doesn’t get it.
That being said, he learned the news at the same time as Hinata.
The next time he sees you, he congratulates you. Very polite to you.
However, him and Hinata argue about what position the baby will play.
You tell them “oh I think they’ll be more into theatre than volleyball”
Ukai wasn’t the fondest of that joke, stating that obviously your baby will be a setter like him.
Kageyama uses this to gloat over Hinata and practice that day is a little more tense.
Tumblr media
Ennoshita Chikara —
He had his guesses but didn’t want to assume anything.
Congratulates you the next time he sees you after hearing the news.
He asks if you need anything when you come to games and practices, always ready to give up a chair and get you something to drink or eat.
He’s a true gentleman.
Tumblr media
Tsukishima Kei —
He knew. Tsukki figured it out easily. The signs were all there.
Coach has gotten a little more overprotective of you. He always was holding on to you a little tighter and a little longer than usual.
You ate a little more when you all went out to celebrate a win together.
Not to mention the ring on your left hand.
Tsukki really wasn’t surprised that the four resident dumbasses didn’t pick up on it.
Yamaguchi Tadashi —
He didn’t really notice either until Tsukki told him, too busy daydreaming of Yachi.
He wouldn't say anything before though, believing that if Coach wanted them to know, he would tell them.
He's never really talked to you before, but the way Coach looks at you is how he looks at Yachi.
He musters up the courage to shyly congratulate you the next time he sees you.
Tumblr media
3rd Years (collectively) —
Look at how happy they are to be apart of the first Karasuno volleyball baby.
They all figured it out themselves pretty quickly.
Ukai was never one to be forgetful, so their suspicions were up when you swung by practice one day to drop off the notebook Ukai uses for practice notes.
While the others were busy hooting and cheering or shyly turning away as you kissed Ukai, the third years noticed how his hand lingered on your abdomen and his downward glances as you broke the kiss.
The three would congratulate Ukai quietly after practice that day, believing it's not their place to announce the news to the team, but still wanting to show Ukai their support as his oldest team members.
Daichi Sawamura —
Daichi’s the oldest of five and knew that you could use all the help you could get.
This gentleman would ask if there was anything that he could do as team captain to lighten Ukai's workload with the team and ensure he could spend more time with you and your growing family.
Sugawara Koushi —
Would second what Daichi said; if Coach needs anything, they’ll take care of it.
This man is c h a o s.
He would definitely wink at Ukai when Daichi mentioned spending more time with you.
He knows pregnancy is going to mess with your hormones and you’re going to be needing some special attention from Ukai.
He just knows.
Asahi Azumane —
Would be blushing and nodding as he congratulated Ukai with the other two.
Tumblr media
Kiyoko Shimizu —
Look at her stopping a stray volleyball from hitting you. She’s incredible.
She's always seen you as a sort of mentor figure since you started dating Ukai, but after the third years figured out you were pregnant she became more friendly with you.
While before, she would address you with the same respect she would a teacher or anyone else older than her, Kiyoko began to treat your relationship more familial, viewing herself as a sister figure.
This is a fact that did not go unnoticed by Tanaka and Nishinoya though they don’t really understand why.
Tumblr media
Yachi Hitoka —
Yamaguchi couldn’t help it and told Yachi, but she’s much more perceptive than she’s given credit for, putting the pieces together with the third years.
She joins Kiyoko as your newfound little sisters.
With her mom always out and being an only child, Yachi is always available to go out baby shopping with you if Ukai is stuck at the shop.
Planned by her, Ukai’s mother, and Kiyoko, Yachi is the one to design the invitations to your baby shower.
She is also the one to take Hinata and Kageyama shopping for baby shower gifts, as neither of them know what to get a baby other than a volleyball.
Tumblr media
Tanaka and Noya—
These two also found out with Kageyama and Hinata.
They’re both incredibly excited.
These two would immediately cry when they hear “baby”.
Ukai has to stop Noya from leaping over you the next time he saw you.
Though they knew they would never stand a chance with you, these two simps can’t help but fawn over you. You’re gorgeous and unavailable.
So once the realization set in that in order for you to be expecting a baby, you and Ukai had to make said baby. They immediately whisper to Ukai, “so how was it?"
Ukai responds with "none of your damn business" and sentences the two to extra laps and cleanup duty for the duration of your pregnancy.

Hi! I really love your writing, and I was wondering if you could write a story about Grogu interacting with mother!Reader, preferably from Grogu’s perspective? I love and simp for Din as much as the next horny life form, but I also have the instictinual need to mother and baby Grogu every time I see him on screen 🥺 Thank you!!!
Title: Little Cold Fingers Pairing: None intended. (Maybe there could be a hint of Din Djarin x OC if you squint?) Wordcount: ~1200 Rating: PG Warnings: Tooth-rotting fluff, AU (because the Razor Crest lives, damnit), blink-and-you’ll-miss-it bittersweet introspection Author’s Notes: Thank you for the ask, @zeuswasaslut! I hope you enjoy this! Grogu muses about the woman he sees as his mother.  :D
Feel free to send in asks or requests! My inbox is open.
📚 My Master List 📚
It was so cold.
Colder than anything he had ever known before. Even when he had been locked up with the Bad People, his little fingers and toes had never hurt from the cold like this before. For hours, white fluff had been piling up against the sides of the Big Noisy – Razor Crest, as Baba called the ship – while wind howled and screamed. The metal walls protecting them muffled most of the noise, but his ears still hurt when the wind grew shrill.
Grogu felt a familiar tickling in his nose and sneezed, tucking his face into his elbow. Just like Bu taught him to avoid spreading germs.
His cold ears lifted as Bu came into the room.
“Are you cold, little one?” she asked in her sweet voice.
He trilled at her, hoping she would understand his annoyance as he lifted his arms to her. Two very warm arms scooped him up. Grogu clung to the front of her shirt as she settled him into her warm, fluffy vest, buttoning it up until only his face and ears were poking out over the top.
“There we go,” she said, her voice a little bit muffled. “Better?”
He let out a cheeeep. Much better.
This is how he preferred being carried. This place right next to Bu’s heart was warm and secure. He could also watch everything that was going on. And maybe steal some bites of whatever Bu was eating or drinking. Bu went to the cabinet and grabbed her little basket of sewing supplies. Then she put his old pants down on the table.
How did she always find the holes in his clothes so quickly? He watched as she snipped off a piece of khaki thread and threaded it through the needle. She sewed the patch on quickly, her needle flashing in the dim light as it worked in and out of the fabric. She started to sing quietly. He knew this song and his ears perked up.
He tried singing with her, but his mouth couldn’t form the mouth noises right. So, he just made it up as he went along. Her happiness bubbled up like the fizzy water she bought in town, or maybe like those pretty yellow flowers they had picked a long time ago.
He started to giggle, unable to hold back his glee as the little flecks of Bu’s joy alighted on his upturned face like sunshine. Then Bu started to laugh along with him, and they shared their little butterfly kisses of joy until he couldn’t breathe and he forgot what song they were singing.
“One day, you’ll sing along with me,” Bu said, and he felt a flash of sadness, because that heavy presence in his chest told him that they weren’t going to have much longer together. He pushed it away. No matter how short their time together was, he would love every moment of it, and keep the memories near his heart.
“There we go,” she said, holding up his pants. “I wish I could get you some new ones, but…not this time, I think. Maybe next month. I should be able to sell some of my embroidery at the market. Wouldn’t that be nice?”
He cooed.
All that mattered to him was that she fixed them. Their family didn’t have much, but they were happy. He was happy, and that was all he cared about after so many years with the Bad People. No matter how many holes he accidentally put into his clothes, Bu always patched them up. Even if they ate the same thing over and over, his tummy was always full. (Having a full tummy never stopped him from hunting his favorite snacks, even if the wriggly ones made Bu scream a bit.)
Suddenly, the big door in the back of the ship sank down, letting a gust of ice-cold wind and snow into the ship. Grogu immediately felt a rush of pure elation fill him as Baba climbed up the long ramp, dragging a big bag behind himself. The bag was full of something but it was empty, the kind of emptiness Grogu knew not to ask about. Baba threw the bag into the Forbidden Room and locked the door. Then he came closer.
Grogu reached out with one hand and squeezed Baba’s icy fingers.
“Hey, kid,” he said. “Being good?”
Always.
He chirped and pulled his arm back into the safe, warm cocoon inside Bu’s vest. He sneezed. This time, he wasn’t able to cover his face in time, so he wiped his face with his sleeve. Icky.
“Is it still too cold?” Baba asked, and Grogu could feel his concern. It was prickly and sharp and made his nose tickle. He didn’t like it that much. Bu nodded.
“I think the heating coils have gone out again,” she responded. “I couldn’t figure it out from the cockpit.”
“Kriff,” Baba sighed. “I’ll get us out of here. Then I’ll see what I can do for repairs, alright? Keep him warm.”
“Aye,” Bu says, “Hear that, Grogu? You get to hang out with me for a little longer.”
He had no problem staying here where it was warm. Bu shivered. Grogu could feel her discomfort, and he grumbled to himself, tugging at Baba with that warm feeling in his chest. Baba paused. He reached up and unpinned his cloak. Then he draped it around them, nestling it around her shoulders.
“Keep that until I can get this icebox warmed up,” Baba said. “And you. Ask before doing that again. Remember what we said about privacy?”
Grogu chirped sheepishly and nodded. He did forget about that rule a lot. Good thing Baba never got angry with him. He closed his eyes and tilted his head up into Baba’s hand as he rubbed his ears. The Bad People pinched him a lot but his buire never hurt him. It made him feel very happy and safe.
Baba reached up and pinned the material into place, draping it around his head. Grogu relaxed as Baba went to the ladder. He wanted his ball, but he wanted to stay here more than he wanted his toy. He tilted his head back, noting the big smile on Bu’s face. He chirped. Maybe one day Baba would take his big shiny hat off for Bu.
Grogu yawned and wiped at his eyes. Then he pulled his head in and wriggled around until he was facing Bu. He felt her button up the vest around his head and it got nice and dark. Just what his eyes needed for a quick nap.
Even though he had only known his Baba and his Bu for just a few months, he had never felt this safe and happy before. He knew this was where his home was and where he was going to stay.
With those thoughts out of the way, Grogu drifted off, imagining all the wonderful, tasty food his Bu would make for him tonight.

—NSFW Alphabet with Bokuto Koutarou
note: lmao me and @parttime-simp were talking about this while playing something and someone kept trying to get our attention but we were too invested in bokuto’s thighs
Tumblr media
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
The absolute sweetest. He’ll ask you if you’re ok, how if he was too rough etc. He’ll be really cuddly afterwards, wanting nothing more than to just hold you in his arms, but if you wanna take a bath he’ll run over and make sure the temperature is just right then hop in with you. Expect lots of kisses and cuddling.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
I’d say he loves his arms because he gets to wrap you in them and hold you tightly while nuzzling his face into your neck. He also loves his thighs because the face you make while coming undone from riding them nearly makes him cum.
Loves your hips, mostly because he gets to hold them while you ride him. He also loves your stomach, especially if you’re on the chubbier side! He doesn't care if you have stretch marks or any other kind of scar, he still finds you extremely wonderful.
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
He’ll ask before doing so, but he loves coming on your stomach or on your face. Just seeing it on you will get him going again, so expect another round.
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
I don’t think he has a dirty secret? He’s pretty open about anything and everything with you.
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
Not very experienced. He’s had maybe one relationship before you, but he didn’t go far with the person because they couldn’t handle his energy. The first couple of times you did it there were some issues. He may not know exactly what to do at first which caused him to sulk but after comforting and praising him Bokuto grew confident with you and learned quickly what you liked and didn’t like.
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
Doggy style, cowgirl, and missionary, but he especially loves any position where he gets to see your face. He wants to see you come undone by him. The way your face scrunches up in the pleasure he’s giving you, yea he loves that. Also loves it when you top him too, he’ll be a great power bottom.
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
He will most definitely crack a couple of jokes while doing it unless the moment is really heated. He wants you to be comfortable, and he knows you usually respond happily to his jokes so he’ll say a couple if he notices you’re not in the best mood.
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
The carpet does not match the drapes, it’d be concerning if he dyed his pubes gray. Before he was with you he didn’t trim or anything, but once he got with you he started taking more care of himself down there.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
While yes he can be goofy, he can also be very intimate. In the beginning there’ll be a couple of giggles, but once things start getting more heated you can literally feel the mood shift. He absolutely loves kissing your lips and feeling you grind down on him. He’ll also lay you down and leave a trail of kisses down your body.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
Before you two got into a relationship he watched porn, but once you two got together he stopped because he wasn’t into it anymore. He’d much rather cum with you than to some other girl.
The only time he’ll masturbate while in a relationship with you is if you’re far away or if you’re too busy to give him attention. Even then it doesn’t feel the same and he’ll beg you to spare him some attention. Please give him attention.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Praise- He loves it when you praise him. If he’s ever in a sulky mood just compliment him and he’ll instantly perk up. While doing it if you praise him his grip on you will tighten and he’ll speed up his pace. Hell, moan in his ear and watch how his eyes turn dark with lust.
Body worship- He’ll praise your body so much, especially if he knows you’re insecure. He wants you to know he loves you so much and he thinks your body is so beautiful and you shouldn’t think otherwise.
Thigh riding- Like I said in the beginning, bokuto would just love to see you ride his thigh. Will get off just seeing you cum on his thigh.
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
He likes doing it in your home, makes him feel like he doesn’t have to hold back as much and he gets to hear you more. But, he will fuck you wherever in said home. Please put away anything breakable or else you’ll lose track of how many times you’ve broken something.
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
Seeing you with something of his own (jersey, hoodie, etc) with nothing underneath, but thigh high socks. Show him your thighs and he will melt, he loves that little pudge that sticks out when wearing thigh high socks at the top the most, it drives him crazy. Along with that, praising him also gets him going. Compliment his skills and how good he is and he will do whatever you want.
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
He’s willing to try anything and everything with you, but I have a feeling he wouldn’t be too into degrading you.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
He loves receiving, but he also loves giving. Hearing the sounds you make and the way you moan out his name are worth it. He’s not that good, but his enthusiasm makes up for it.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
Depending on the mood he can go both ways. Most of the time though he’ll be fast and rough, occasionally leaving bruises on your hips. Other times he’ll be really sweet, giving you gentle kisses and holding your hand while thrusting into you.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
Not a big fan, he likes to take his time being with you. With quickies he doesn’t feel fully satisfied and he always finds himself wanting more, especially if it’s right before practice or a game, but he will not deny a quickie if it’s been awhile and the both of you are needy.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
He’s willing to experiment with some things, if you wanted to try something he’s not gonna say no because 1. he might enjoy it and 2. he wants to see you happy. Now for risks, is is not afraid of taking risks. He’s willing to risk fucking you in the locker room before practice as long as you’re ok with it.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
Being with an athlete has its perks, one of them is this boy has stamina.. and lots of it. He can last a long while before tiring out, especially if he’s excited to be with you because he wants to please you.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
Probably wouldn’t mention it unless you brought it up first, in which case he’ll try them out on you. At first he thinks he won’t like it but once he sees you squirming and moaning in pleasure he immediately changes his mind. Don’t expect to cum using them though, he’d much rather make you cum himself.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
If you tease him he wouldn’t be able to handle it. He’s too impatient and wants to get right down to the point. If you tease him before or during practice he will lose his mind and either you’ll have a fun time once practice is over or he’ll pull you into the closet for a quickie, promising a round two once he’s free.
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
He is not, I repeat not, afraid to hold back his groans. He’s loud and he knows it too. If anyone confronts him about hearing him doing it with you he’ll just go “oops” and promise to be quieter next time which.. doesn’t work out. He’s loud unless you two are in a public area. When that happens he’ll bite down on your shoulder or hide his where in the crook of your neck to muffle his moans.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
Didn't realize he had a dump truck until you pointed it out. He then proceeded to ask his teammates if they thought he had a dump truck, to which they all responded with “yes”.
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
He’s above average, around 7 inches with a bit of girth to it which feels extremely nice when he’s stretching you out. He’s gentle as to not hurt you unless you tell him to don’t mind the pain.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
During the beginning of your relationship his sex drive was low and whenever he was feeling something he held himself back because he didn’t want to pressure you. Once you guys do it once though, that changed and he found himself thinking about you more often. He couldn’t get enough of you and he found himself craving you more and more. Expect to get railed by this man at least four times a week if his schedule allows it.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
He uses up a lot of energy while doing it, so he’s out like a light as soon as you two finish. But he loves having pillow talk with you afterwards so sometimes he’ll fight off the sleep just to talk to you. If anything your voice will be the thing that puts him to sleep.

jealous, various characters.
synopsis: how your boyfriend would react to his teammates seeing you in a bikini!
includes: bokuto koutarou, kuroo tetsurou, and semi eita.
Tumblr media
bokuto koutarou
two words: emo mode😃
when bokuto invited you to the beach with his teammates, you were hesitant to accept
the only person you knew somewhat personally was akaashi, since you three would hangout all the time
plus, you were basically the polar opposite of bokuto, which meant that you didn’t immediately warm up to people
but he practically begged you to go and how could you say no to that cute face🥺
currently, you were sprawled out on the towel you brought for yourself and bokuto, clad in jean shorts and a t-shirt
you were sweating buckets so you decided to undress, you had a bikini underneath your clothes anyways
and the guys were playing beach volleyball, so it’s not like anyone was gonna notice... right?
well after you’d taken off your top and began to pull your shorts down your thighs, you could hear the entire team making their way over to you (as you all had set up your belongings in the same area)
quickly, you slipped off your shorts and sat criss cross on the towel
“[Y/NNNNN]!” a loud, whining voice called out
without giving you anytime to process, bokuto threw himself on top of you, causing you to fall over
“i’m thirstyyyy” he cried, pressing his face into your neck
your eyes widened at the display of affection, gently pushing him away
“idiot... you’re lucky i brought you a drink.” you teased, handing him the bottle of pocari sweat from your purse
“AHHAHHAHA LOOK!!! MY GIRLFRIEND BROUGHT ME A DRINK! YOU GUYS DON’T HAVE GIRLFRIENDS THAT BRING YOU DRINKS!”
just smile politely y’all. we’re witnessing mental illness❤️
you looked at him like🤨🤨 wondering wtf possessed him to even say that
as he sipped happily on the sports drink, hand snakes around your waist and ranting to akaashi about something you couldn’t quite catch, you observed the rest of his team sitting on their towels and gulping down their own drinks
“aaah, i forgot to bring my water and i don’t have any money...” your ears perked up at the sound of the person’s voice
you scanned the area, eyes falling upon wataru, who was empty handed. you felt bad
should i give him a drink?, you thought, mulling the idea over
it was hot and he had just played beach volleyball (which was much more tiring than regular volleyball) in the scorching sun...
it was as if your feet were moving on their own as you grabbed the bottled drink and moved away from bokuto’s grasp, not stopping until you reached your kouhai
“wataru-kun?” you mumbled quietly
his eyes trailed your exposed skin until reaching yours
you didn’t notice how the tips of his ears began to blush, or how his entire face was red
probably because yours was too... not because of him, but because that’s what happened when you talked to anyone who wasn’t in your immediate circle
you also didn’t notice how he was no longer looking into your eyes, but an area just below them
“eh... i heard you say that you forgot to bring a drink and i had an extra so... here you go!”
you extended your arm, waiting for him to accept it
you waited... and waited... and waited...
“wataru-kun?” you questioned, lowering your hand. god, did you just embarrass yourself?
it wasn’t until another first year (anahori, was it?) slapped the back of his head that he responded
“ah-thank you, [l/n]-senpai!” he blurted, grabbing the drink from your hand
you smiled, happily walking back to your seat
wait, where was bokuto?
you scanned the area to find bokuto a few feet away from his original spot, curled into himself and staring at the ocean
oh god, he was in his emo mode
“eh... akaashi? what happened to bokuto?” you whispered as to not alarm your boyfriend who could probably still here you
“wataru was staring at your chest and he got upset.” he replied in a monotonous tone
“AKAASHI!” you screeched, punching him in the shoulder. “why do you say things so bluntly? i’m going to go see if he’s ok.”
still embarrassed, you unconsciously crossed your arms
as you approached bokuto, you could practically feel the gloomy aura surrounding his form
“bokuto? are you alright?”
“i am a failure.”
HUH😀
“what? what do you mean?”
he turned to look at you, incredibly small and fully white eyes staring into your own
“another man was looking at my girlfriend inappropriately and i did nothing to stop it... i am a failure... you should breakup with me now.”
AHDJSJFKF WHAT KIND OF LOGIC???
“man...? wataru-kun is a first year, bokuto. he’s 15. a child. and i’m sure he didn’t mean to offend me, i didn’t even notice. if he had given me any trouble i could have handled it myself.”
your words fell on deaf ears as bokuto day in silence, resembling the 😞 emoji
you reached your hands to cup his face, but he turned around dramatically
“don’t look at me, this is the face of a loser!”
ok now you were a little annoyed
you forcefully grabbed his face and turned it towards your own with such ferocity that bokuto thought he’d gotten whiplash
“BOKUTO, you’re my boyfriend. my handsome, talented, amazing, boyfriend. you’re one of the top five aces in the country. wataru-kun doesn’t even compare to someone like you. he’s just a boy, go out there and show him what a man is! how scary and powerful his captain is!”
in a flash, the dark and gloomy aura dissapeared and was replaced by bokuto’s usually energetic and friendly air
“HEY HEY HEY, YOU’RE RIGHT. I AM THE BEST! I’M GONNA GO KICK HIS ASS IN YOUR HONOR!”
“bokuto that’s not what i meant—no!—BOKUTO!”
Tumblr media
kuroo tetsurou
idk how to write for him lol😹👍
but i’ll try
so background😼 you’re like the unofficial manager of nekoma
you bring everyone protein bars and sports drinks and stay after practice to help pick up stray balls and do other ~managery~ stuff
EVERYONE LOVES YOU
lev calls you mom (he’s secretly your favorite)
yaku listens to you when you tell him to go easy on lev
taketora worships the ground you walk on (simp🙄🙄)
you call kenma your son but he glares at you when you do😹 (😿) big sad
(idk the other characters LOL)
everyone practically begs kuroo to invite you (which he was going to do anyway bc mf loves you duh)
so when he does your just like... um ofc u utter fool
lev had already told you about it when you were helping him practice his spikes so if kuroo didn’t invite you you would have shown up unannounced
but ngl you were lowkey feeling used bc after you accepted he told you that he’d gonna need the keys to your parents’ van bc it was the only car that could fit all of you in it
whatever you’re just happy to be there😋
you sat up in the front while kuroo drove, drumming your fingers against his thigh
“hey kuroo are we there yet”
“[y/n]... just look up what’s the point of asking”
when you guys arrived you and lev ZOOMED towards the beach to see who could make it there first
he won sadly :/
everyone else joined you so you guys began setting up
they were laying their towels on the sand, dropping their bags, and taking off their shirts
kenma kept his shirt on and was just on his switch the entire time
well everyone else was changing so you should too right🤩
you took off you swimsuit cover up and tossed it aside
and just when you did you heard the sound of squelching and a weight fall onto the floor
“TORA?? TORA ARE YOU OK”
tora’s nose was bleeding and he was twitching on the floor
AND NO ONE WAS ACKNOWLEDGING IT... LIKE IS HE OK
when you bent down to check on him his eyes widened, refusing to make eye contact
they were making contact with something else❤️
but he immediately corrected himself and closed his eyes
he might be a simp but he’s not a perv
you looked towards kuroo who was a few feet behind you expecting him to be mad or protective or whatever
but mf was laughing
LAUGHING
“oh god, that’s so pathetic! imagine fainting at the sight of boobs” he was dry heaving, hands on his knees as he doubled over
he didn’t give af🖕🖕 f u kuroo
Tumblr media
semi eita
ion know how to write for this mf either
with semi, he hadn’t thought of inviting you to the beach with his teammates
he’d assumed it was team bonding/extra practice after their loss at the hands of karasuno
when in reality it was actually just a day off to have fun and forget about volleyball even if it was just for a few hours
tendou, your best friend, was the one to invite you
“come on, [y/n]! it’ll be fun! you don’t even have to go in the ocean if you don’t want to.”
you rolled your eyes, scoffing at the suggestion
“of course i’m going in the ocean, idiot. i’m not just going to watch you all have fun.”
his mischievous red eyes lit up
“perfect! i’ll pick you up from your dorm on saturday at two. make sure your ready.”
and that was that
tendou had picked you up as promised and the two of you made your way to the beach together
the sun was relentlessly beating down on you two, so by the time you had reached your destination, you were already sweating
“ugh,” you whined in displeasure. “my skin’s already starting to feel hot. i’m just going to change here, ‘kay?”
“good idea” he responded, taking off his shirt
you stripped down to your bikini and stuffed your clothes in your bag, wiping the sweat from your forehead.
a low whistle sounded from tendou
“wow, [y/n]! look at you, semi is going to just eat you up!”
you scoffed, punching him in the stomach. even though you knew he didn’t mean it in a suggestive way, you hated when he teased you. he knew just how to push you buttons.
“i will literally kill you. now lets go meet up with the others, creep.”
he chuckled, but followed you nonetheless.
you smiled as you saw the entire shiratorizawa volleyball team sat in a circle, enjoying a picnic
“hey, you guys started eating without us?” tendou cried, rushing past you to seat himself next to ushijima
“well you’re late, you deserve it.” yamagata uttered, not taking his eyes off of his food
you walked past the team, responding to their greetings with a smile and wave before stopping behind semi, lowering yourself to wrap your arms around him
“hello, eita!” you grinned, pressing a light kiss to his temple
he immediately stiffened against the abrupt touch, softening when he recognized that it was you
“[y/n]? what are you doing here?” he was thoroughly confused, turning his whole body to you
“tendou invited me! why do you not want me here?” you pouted, placing your hands on your thighs
at the suggestion he was immediately reduced to a stuttering mess. his usually stoic attitude was replaced by nervousness and defensiveness
“o-of course not! i just assumed only the team was coming. i’m glad you’re here, promise.”
his seriousness always made you laugh, maybe that’s why you loved teasing him
“i’m just fucking with you, eita.”
his automatic response was: “oh, well then eat shit.”
LMFAOOOO there’s the guy you know and love
you were about to slide in between eita and shirabu when you felt a pair of wandering eyes to your right
shirabu was... checking you out??? HUH
he didn’t even notice you were looking at him because he was looking straight at your thighs
MF EVEN LEANED BACKWARDS TO LOOK AT YOUR BUTT
you weren’t even offended because this was the funniest shit you had witnessed in your life
the kid that your boyfriend hated with his entire being was literally checking you out in front of him
before you could form a sentence that would surely embarrass the setter, you heard your boyfriend screaming and lunging at shirabu
“HEY, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING YOU DISRESPECTFUL LITTLE SHIT? I’LL KILL YOU!”
“HUH? g-get off me! what are you doing?”
what da fawk😃
you immediately grabbed eita by his arm and pulled him away from the lowerclassmen, a shocked expression adorning your face
he was practically fuming, if you were in a cartoon, steam would’ve been blowing out of his ears by now. his eyes ripped themselves from shirabu’s cowering form and were now focused on you
“you were just letting him look at you! i saw you!”
NOT HIM TRYING TO BLAME THIS ON YOU
“well i was gonna tell him off before you acted like a fucking psycho... which was funny as fuck by the way.”
“it was not funny” he growled, folding his arms over his chest.
“it was too! as much as i enjoyed that, please never do it again. i can take care of myself, okay?”
he rolled his eyes but nodded nonetheless, earning a chaste kiss on the cheek
you thought that was the end of it but he stood up, grabbed your wrist, and dragged you away from his team
“we’re going somewhere private. now.”
time for the vaccum seal two handed twist gawk gawk wombo combo🥵🥵
[a/n]: this was requested and i wasn’t sure if you meant that you wanted random beachgoers to be staring at the reader so i just made a teammates do it hehe <3 WHY DID I MAKE THEM TOXIC AND WHY IS MY WRITING STYLE ALL OVER THE PLACE LMFAOO😹👍

“Why are we even shopping today? Your party’s not for another week.” Harrison let out a groan as he walked into the grocery store with Tom and Harry, the former had been very insistent on getting food for his birthday party a week in advance.
“I procrastinate on everything else, let me do something reasonably on time for once.” Tom stated, pushing the cart and heading straight for the alcohol aisle. “What should we get?”
“It’s your party.” The blond replied with a shrug. He grabbed a large case of beer, claiming, “As long as there’s beer, I’m fine.” “Didn’t you say Shelby likes Whiteclaws?” Harry asked.
“Oh, yeah, she does!” Tom perked up, grabbing a large box full of the hard seltzers.
“You’re catering to Shelby’s needs now? Tom, it’s your party.” Harrison reminded him again. Shelby being the girl who was Tom’s unofficial girlfriend.
“I want to impress her.”
“Haz, calm down. Maybe she’ll bring some of her hot friends for us.” Harry joked, nudging his friend, who looked unimpressed.
“I’m just saying, you should just be official with her already. You’re practically dating her.” Harrison insisted.
“You’re one to talk.” Tom laughed, before mimicking his friend, “‘Just ask her out already. It’s not that hard.’ Wanna remind us how you haven’t asked a girl out in four years?”
“Shove off. I’ll get the chasers.” He walked away without another word, trying to ignore the snickering from the two Holland boys behind them.
Harrison knew it was hypocritical of him to encourage Tom to officially date Shelby when he couldn’t even ask a girl out. It wasn’t like he had trouble talking to girls; no, Harrison was good-looking and he knew it, so he naturally had no problem turning on his charm whenever a pretty girl was around. It was just that when the time came to actually ask a girl out, he couldn’t. He’d freeze and have horrendous flashbacks to his last date four years ago, flashbacks that crept into his mind now as he searched for some good chasers.
“Harrison! You’re going to be late!” His mom called to him from downstairs.
“No, I’m not!” He halted his nervous pacing as he looked at himself in the mirror. He wasn’t wearing anything too special, just a nice blue button-up that brought out his eyes and his best pair of jeans. He kicked himself for letting Tom borrow his nicest pair of casual shoes because the ones he currently wore were just not fitting right. They went well enough with his look, but they squeezed his toes uncomfortably and there were little dirt stains on the side that he just hoped no one could see, especially you. He ran his fingers through his hair, and then again, trying to fix it and make sure it didn’t look too gelled up or too casual. He thought to himself ‘This is a casual thing, calm down’, but his brain was so scattered, he could barely focus on that.
“Mum says you need to leave.” His sister said, opening his door and making him jump.
“How do I look?” He asked with a hopeful smile.
“Wonderful. Now go, you’ve got a date!” She pushed him out of the room. Harrison grabbed his keys and his wallet from the table near his front door, trying to rush out of the house before his mum came into the room, but she was too fast.
“Let me see.” She smiled teasingly at him, and he sighed before turning around so that she could approve of his outfit. Pinching his cheeks, she gushed, “You look so handsome.”
“Thanks. I need to go.” He kissed his mother goodbye quickly.
As Harrison left his house, he heard his mum’s passing comment to his sister, “I’ve never seen him so nervous for a date. I hope she’s the one.”
Since you were getting off work and had your car there already, you’d told Harrison that you could meet him at the fairgrounds, the spot he had chosen for your date. The whole drive over there, he was thinking of different ways to greet you- should he do the cute romantic thing and cover your eyes for a moment, or was that too creepy? His mind rushed over to the wonder about how the night would go- would you two share a cotton candy, would you hold his hand as you two go on a thrill ride, would you need a jacket because it’s cold? Harrison’s heart surged with nervousness; he didn’t even think of bringing a jacket for you and he didn’t even have one for himself. Stopped at a red light, he blindly stretched a hand to the back of the car, in search of one of his spare jackets back there. Feeling a soft cotton material, he quickly pulled on the jacket and brought it up to his lap. He didn’t know how long it’d been his car, but judging by its smell it had definitely been in there a while. So maybe he wouldn’t give you his jacket in hopes that you take it home at the end of the night as an excuse to see him again.
The light turned green and he started to drive again. The thought of the end of the night hadn’t even crossed his mind. Did you expect him to kiss you or was it supposed to be one of those intimate hugs to end the date? His mum was right, he’d never been so nervous for a date, but he couldn’t help it. This was you.
He met you at school years ago. You two didn’t have many classes together, which made Harrison a bit sad because he wanted any opportunity to see you (but he was kind of grateful too because he definitely didn’t do well in the classes that you shared with him). He was completely enraptured by you; it took him months to finally talk to you in class. Then it took a couple more months before he managed to actually say anything more than a simple ‘hi’ to you. Poor Tom had to hear him go on for almost a year about how pretty you were or about something you said during class. Eventually, just in time for graduation when you’d all split ways, he worked up the courage to just get your number. After infrequently texting you for a while (he didn’t want to come off as a creep and text you too often), he finally asked you out a couple days ago. He was still in disbelief that you said yes. You were the girl he’d been fawning over for the past several years, and you had said yes to just going on a date with him. You had almost every guy at the school falling at your feet, you could have accompanied anyone to the carnival and yet you chose him. You made him feel like a giddy school boy, not a nearly 20-year old man.
He had hoped his nerves would’ve calmed down by the time he got to the fairgrounds, but they didn’t; if anything, his heart was beating inhumanly fast and his hands were the clammiest they’d ever been. He managed to get a parking spot near the front gate, right near where the two of you were supposed to meet. He was two minutes early; he had two minutes to calm down and go out there.
“Just be cool.” He mumbled to himself. He looked at himself in his rearview mirror and smiled, “‘Hi, Y/N’. No, that sounds creepy. ‘Hey’- God, no.” He groaned, still unable to settle on the best way to greet you. Seeing something move near the gate, he quickly looked over to see you walking to the gate.
You stood nervously in the shade, trying to hide from the evening sun. You wore a light blue babydoll dress with a dandelion print that made Harrison’s heart soar- you two had inadvertently matched color schemes. On your shoulders rested a dark blue denim jacket, which told Harrison all his worrying about the jacket dilemma was for nothing. He already knew your jacket definitely smelt better than his, and that was reassuring to him. You just looked so beautiful standing there; if you hadn’t told him you were coming from work, he wouldn’t have been able to tell. He watched as you nervously fiddled with the black bag hanging from your shoulder. You got out your phone, and Harrison watched your fingers dance across the screen before his own phone vibrated.
‘Hey, I’m here x’ You had texted him, and his heart seemed to start beating even faster- he didn’t know how he wasn’t having a heart attack. You held your phone with your left hand and put your right hand in your jacket pocket, fidgeting with it anxious. It was a nervous tick of yours that Harrison had picked up on years ago; whenever you were nervous, you’d play with your right pocket and that’s why your right jacket pockets were always disproportionately more damaged than your left.
Any confidence that he had before was gone. He couldn’t bring himself to respond to your text, and he felt frozen in his car. After a few more minutes had gone by, you texted him again and began to walk in small circles. Instead of reading your text, he pulled up Tom’s contact. He hated it, but he needed his best friend, he needed to be talked into going out there. Tom was the only person who saw firsthand how much Harrison admired you over the years, seeing as he was the one to continuously push his friend to talk to you.
“Hey, aren’t you supposed to be on a date?” Tom asked as soon as he picked up the phone. When Harrison didn’t immediately respond, he got concerned, “Mate, tell me Y/N didn’t stand you up.”
“No, no. I just- Tom, I can’t.” Harrison said, his voice breaking.
“What do you mean you can’t? The girl of your dreams agreed to go on a date with you, give her the best date ever.”
“No, I can’t. She’s here, but I- I can’t even get out of my car.”
“Do you not like her anymore?” He asked, unsure of his friend’s predicament. Harrison had been so nervously excited about your date for days, and Tom had to hear all about how much his best friend liked you for years. This was a perfect situation for Harrison, was it not?
“I do. It’s just too real. There’s no way she’d actually date me. She’s too good for me.”
“Harrison! Listen to yourself! You’re incredible, mate, and Y/N knows that. That’s why she agreed to go out with you. Don’t leave her there. Go get her.” Tom insisted.
“O-okay, I will.” He replied before saying goodbye and hanging up his phone. He was about to leave his car when he got a call from you. He wanted to pick it up, he wanted to hear your voice, but he just felt like he was disappointing you. It had been half an hour already. Once the phone call went through and you left a voicemail, he looked up to see you sitting against the trunk of a tree, defeated, and turned away from his car that you still had yet to spot. He felt defeated himself, he was looking forward to this so much and now he was just being cowardly. He hated this feeling. A sudden surge of confidence overcame him and he hopped out of his car, thinking it’s now or never.
You hadn’t seen him yet, and he was mere steps from you. He stopped when he heard you on the phone.
“I don’t think he’s coming.” You sighed. There was a pause as you listened to the other end of the call, still unaware of his presence. “I’m just going to go. It’s been almost a hour, and I haven’t even heard from him. It just feels like a waste of time, he really let me down.”
Harrison felt himself grow heavy at your words. As much as he wanted to take the final few steps to you and to tell you he was there, his body betrayed him and he stood there, motionless and speechless.
“I even wore that blue dress I just bought. I thought he’d like it because it matches his eyes.” You laughed lightly and he felt his heart drop at your words. You were trying to impress him. “I feel so stupid. It’s probably stained now.” You stood up and dusted off your dress. You sniffled a bit and he felt his heart break- he’d made you cry and it was the worst feeling in the world for him. As you took one last look around for him, Harrison ducked behind the large tree trunk to stay out of view. With a final sigh, you left. Harrison threw his head back against the tree. He was so angry with himself, you were all he wanted for years and he finally had him, but now you were gone, probably for good. You were there, and he was there; why couldn’t he just actually be there for you?
“Chasers, chasers, chasers,” He mumbled to himself, walking through the store trying to find where they had hidden the drink section (why it wasn’t right beside the alcohol section, he didn’t know). He paused his search, hearing an all too familiar singing voice come over the store’s radio.
As if the memory of him leaving you like that wasn’t haunting enough for him, you went on to become a successful artist and sometimes he felt like there was no escaping your popular songs. He couldn’t bring himself to listen to them though. Tom said that they were good- after all, he still kind of kept up in contact with you, but Harrison knew it’d only make him feel even more guilty about his actions all those years ago. He hadn’t reached out to you at all since before that fateful and horrendous night. You were special and he always knew that, he just didn’t appreciate you enough when you were there.
Trying his best to ignore the melodic sound of your voice, he continued his journey to finding chasers. He finally found the aisle labeled “beverages” and figured they had to be there. When he turned the corner, his eyes quickly darted to the drink selection in front of him. It was only then that he realized this was a stupid idea; why did Tom put him in charge of chasers? It was still Tom’s party. Just as Harrison was about to say “fuck it” and grab a box of Coke, he realized there was one other person in the aisle to his left. The stranger hadn’t noticed him though and she pushed a loose hair back under her hood before pulling the hood down some more, so her face was a bit more obstructed. Her right hand was shoved into her jacket pocket, fiddling with the cotton material.
Harrison immediately felt a wave of nausea overcome him as his brain processed the stranger as you. It had been four years since he’d stood you up and watched you walk away at the fairgrounds, four whole years since he let his dream girl just walk away, four years since he broke his own heart. He realized he’d been staring too long when you started to look over at him, and before he knew it, he was running out of the aisle and crashing into Harry around the corner.
“Did you get chasers?” Harry asked, confused by his friend’s terrified appearance.
“I- uh, no. I can’t- can’t go down there.” Harrison coughed, scratching his neck nervously.
“Why not?” He looked between Tom and Harrison. Tom’s eyes were just about as wide as Harrison’s; he knew exactly who could be down the aisle to have that sort of effect on his best friend.
“Y/N’s down there?” The older Holland clarified, and the blond nodded, biting his lip.
“Wait, the Y/N?” Harry questioned. He’d heard about the girl that Harrison stood up four years ago, but he’d never actually met her; he’d seen pictures of you, but you were kind of famous now so who hadn’t? Your name had been like a taboo in the Osterfield and Holland households for years now- no one dared to bring you up in front of Harrison, no one except for Tom. Tom was the only person who really knew what happened when it happened. He ended up telling Harry and Sam a few months afterwards, seeing as they were both close with Harrison, but Harrison never told his family. He had told his family that the date went poorly and it was never mentioned again.
“I can’t- I’m- nope.” Harrison was a stuttering mess.
“Look,” Tom started, but his words were cut short as you came around the corner. Harrison quickly dove behind one of the tall bread stands, hoping you hadn’t seen him, but you had and they all knew his hiding spot wasn’t a good one. He mentally cursed at his feet that stood planted in the ground; they wouldn’t let him run away out of this hell of a grocery store.
“Oh, hi, Tom.” You smiled, politely. You had no problem with Tom; after all, he wasn’t the one that stood you up.
“Hey, Y/N.” He leaned over a little, trying to block Harrison from your view. “How have you been?”
“Never better. And you?” You asked, your smile strained as your eyes flickered over to Harrison’s “hidden” figure for a moment. His blue eyes that once captivated you were trained to the ground.
“Been good.” Tom replied, not really sure how long he could keep up the small talk in front of his painstakingly awkward friend.
Harry, on the other hand, wasn’t sure if he wanted to laugh at the abnormally pale Harrison or try to console his poor friend. He’d never seen Harrison be so nervous before; sure, he’d seen the blond be nervous before about something, but never this nervous because of a girl. Now he knew what Tom was talking about when he said Harrison was always a mess when it came to you. To Harry, it almost justified Harrison being so nervous that he stood you up, almost (both Hollands still think it was stupid of Harrison to not just get out of the car and go to you).
“Are you having a party or something?” You asked, looking down at the contents of Tom’s cart that included excessive amounts of alcohol and snacks, both savory and sweet.
“Yeah,” He paused for a moment, glancing over at Harrison before a wide smile broke out on his face, “You should come.”
He held back his grimace as Harrison obviously kicked him, silently questioning what the actual fuck he was thinking. You looked at Tom confused because in all your years of knowing him, you two had been more acquaintances than friends, and also it was a party with Harrison there. You weren’t sure if you wanted to even go, but you couldn’t help yourself from saying, “Yeah, sure.”
“Great, I’ll text you the details.” Tom smiled and you nodded.
“Well I should be going, but it was nice seeing you.” You stepped around him, needing to get to an aisle behind him. Harrison did the best thing he could to hide from you, holding up a loaf of bread and keeping his eyes closed, praying the ‘I can’t see you, you can’t see me’ concept would pay off. “Bye, Harrison.”
With that, you walked away from the three boys and Harrison let out a small sigh, putting the bread back on the shelf. Tom laughed as his friend punched him in the arm.
“What the hell was that for?” Harrison questioned, all nervousness going away, but he still looked around the store in paranoia in case you came back.
“It’s perfect, mate. Y/N will come to the party, you can apologize and talk to her, and hopefully she takes you back.” Tom smiled hopefully. He thought his plan was ingenious, but the stern look on his friend’s face said otherwise.
“That’s a shit plan.” He crossed his arms, “Look at me! I still can’t even look at her. She just- ugh, I’m not going.”
“You’d miss my birthday party because of Y/N?”
“Well,” Harrison sighed, knowing Tom would hate him if he actually didn’t go. Plus, it’s at his house so he would have to have a pretty big excuse not to show up. “Fine, but I’m not talking to her.”
“I didn’t believe Tom about Y/N until now. You’re so whipped.” Harry laughed, earning a smack from the frustrated Harrison.
“It’s been four years, and she still has a hold over you. I wonder if she knows.” Tom teased him.
“Shut up.” Harrison grumbled, “Let’s just get the chasers and leave.”
Harrison had one week, a whole seven days to prepare his apology speech. He paced around his room daily, trying to come up with the right words to say, even though you’d leave him too speechless and stunned anyway. He felt like he was attempting at writing a Shakespearean monologue, he felt desperate. But how do you apologize to someone who wasn’t even yours to begin with? How does he tell you that he’s sorry he left you? And that it was all because you made him too nervous to actually do anything? And it ended up breaking his heart and stalling his love life up until this point because no one can compare to you, the girl he’s basically loved since he was 14? He never really admitted it before then, but he did love you and that’s why it hurt even more to reflect on that regretful night.
He often wondered how different his life would be if he had just gotten out of the car. Or even if he had remembered a clean jacket. He would’ve greeted you with a bright smile at the gate, and you’d be overjoyed to see him; you two would have shared food all night long; he would have loved to see the crinkles by your eyes as you smiled and laughed from the thrill of the rides; he would have wanted to kiss you on the top of the ferris wheel because you would already be holding his hand since you were afraid of heights; but he would’ve saved your first kiss for the end of the night, for when he was walking you to your car, his hand in yours, his jacket around your shoulders- he would’ve kissed you under the moonlight. But then, maybe you wouldn’t have had your big break, maybe you wouldn’t have written your first big hit because he was in your life, because he was a distraction from your career- and then neither of you would have really known if you could make it in the music business. Yet again, maybe you two would have moved in together by now, living happily in a small apartment, or even a small house where you could have a dog to run around the yard.
For four years, he’s been dreaming of all the different events that could have occurred if he had just gotten out of the car, if he had just stopped you before you walked away. For four years, you’d owned his heart, and he didn’t know what he was going to do when he saw you tonight at the party.
“I’m sorry.” Harrison mumbled to himself, pulling on a nice button-up. He looked at himself in the mirror, fixing his hair a little. He just kept repeating the two words he so desperately wanted to tell you tonight. Maybe if he said it enough times now before the party, it’d be the only words he could squeak out when you were there. The anxious part of him was hoping you wouldn’t show, that you’d be sick or something and just couldn’t go; but then the realistic part of him remembered that you literally texted Tom this morning, asking why he didn’t tell you it was a birthday party because now you had to get him a last minute gift- apparently you’d seen the news on Twitter.
“Harrison, dear God, please shut the fuck up.” Tom said as he and Harrison were setting up the makeshift bar. The blond hadn’t even realized he was still mindlessly repeating those words.
“Oh, I’m-”
“Sorry. I get it.” He cut him off. “It’s going to be fine. She’s going to come in, and you’ll apologize.”
“That requires me to speak to her.” Harrison stated, his nerves already hitting him as his palms began to grow clammy.
“I had to listen to you go on about this girl for almost a year before you managed to actually say anything but ‘hi’ to her. You are going to talk to her tonight. That’s what the alcohol’s for.” He laughed lightheartedly, before threateningly adding, “And you’re not going to walk away from her!”
“At this point, I’ll be surprised if my feet actually work around her.” He sighed, putting his hands on the counter and leaning into them. He was beyond stressed about the party, which was just an hour away, “I don’t know what it is about her, but I just- I freeze. She’s beautiful and sweet and funny, and she’s got such an incredible singing voice. She’s perfect and breathtaking, and I can’t handle it. She’s absolutely the girl of my dreams but god, these butterflies are the worst thing in the world. Every time she’s near me, I just can’t speak and my heart feels like it’s going to jump out of my chest and my hands get all sweaty and- and I just love her, but I fucked it all up.”
“Calm down, Haz.” Tom spoke softly. “You never know, she might give you another shot. On the bright side, there’s no way you can fuck it up more as long as you don’t freeze.”
“What if-” Harrison paused, standing up straight, “What if I just kept my eyes closed all night, so if I run into her, I won’t freeze because I won’t be able to see her?”
“She’s not fucking Medusa.” His friend smacked him on the back of the head. “Pull yourself together!”
Once the bar was set up, Harrison went back to his room to try to memorize his speech, the perfect words that will hopefully win you over. He read over the small piece of paper, crinkling it under his fingers lightly. He heard Tom start the music and suddenly people began to arrive. He had to go out there now or else he’d never go.
“I can do this.” He told himself as he looked in the mirror, and he suddenly felt like a 19 year old all over again, anxiously hyping himself up for the biggest date of his life. This time it was different. This time he was going to talk to you (well, at least say ‘hi’ before running away).
“You good?” Harry asked as he handed Harrison a drink when the blond finally made it to the kitchen while the party was picking up pace.
“Yeah,” He replied, but it did nothing to convince either of them that he was, in fact, good. Harrison quickly drank the beer, knowing he’d need a bit more if he was going to actually confront you tonight.
“Don’t go too hard. You’ve got to be somewhat coherent when you talk to Y/N.” His friend warned, but Harrison shook him off, downing another. With two drinks suddenly in his system, he stopped to nurse the third one properly. Harry sighed, but he even had to admit that it was a decently good sign that Harrison wasn’t completely planning on being wasted when seeing you (he’d save the shots for after your rejection). Before leaving Harrison alone, Harry stated, “Don’t finish that drink until you talk to her.”
Harrison did as he was told, slowly savoring the one drink while eating some snacks and socializing with old friends. Tom made the rounds throughout the party, and it didn’t take long for Shelby to be latched on his arm. After half an hour of waiting for you, Harrison was about to give up hope and just chug the rest of his drink to get another because he could feel the alcohol slowly fade away. He couldn’t grab another though, because while Harry wasn’t in the kitchen with him anymore, the curly haired Holland still kept a watchful eye on him.
“Haz, look who just showed up.” Tom said, coming over to his friend and nudging him towards the front door, where you just stepped in. Just like that, the nervousness was overflowing in Harrison.
“Go talk to her.” Harry encouraged him, appearing by his side with Sam.
“I don’t-”
“Go!” All three Hollands shouted while Tom physically shoved his friend in your direction. Harrison’s feet took him to you, but they refused to move once your eyes landed on him.
“H-hey, Y/N.” He said, swallowing the anxious lump in his throat.
“Hi, Harrison.” You replied stiffly. In all honesty, you weren’t at all expecting him to actually come over to you and talk to you, not after the grocery store incident.
“Do you- do you want a beer? Or a Whiteclaw? We might have shots too.” Harrison offered. His cheeks heated up with a blush as he stuttered. If he thought he wasn’t good enough for you back then, he definitely felt inadequate now. The past four years had been good to you; you were even more beautiful in his eyes. And it definitely didn’t help that he knew you were a famous singer with probably numerous guys kissing at your feet.
“Could I have a Whiteclaw please?”
“Uhuh, yeah,” He nodded, but his feet wouldn’t move. They’d fallen under your captivating spell. God, maybe Tom was wrong, maybe you were Medusa.
“Everything alright?” You asked, pausing as you were going to follow him to the kitchen, yet he made no noticeable effort to move.
“Yeah, yeah.” His feet finally let him move. So far, so good; he had said all of ten words to you and he hadn’t completely frozen yet- and he hadn’t even walked away from you. As you followed Harrison into the kitchen, the other three Holland boys huddled in the crowd to sneakily watch.
“Wait, wait, that’s Harrison’s Y/N?” Sam asked quietly, just as surprised as Harry had been last week. Harrison was an actual mess as he tried to open your Whiteclaw for you, just to have it bubble over into his hands. The three other boys felt a wave of secondhand embarrassment hit them.
“This is painful to watch, but I can’t look away.” Harry laughed, taking a drink of his beer.
“You think this is painful? I had to sit through his schoolboy crush on her for years, I had to hear his every thought about her. And that includes his dilemma of asking her to formal.” Tom shook his head.
“Did he?” Sam asked.
“We were at a party and I think he got out the ‘will you’ part before running off to the bathroom. That’s the only time I’ve ever witnessed him vomiting from alcohol.” He shuddered, remembering having to console his incredibly drunk friend in the bathroom. Now, he was happy that Harrison was finally talking to you like you were a normal person or he was trying to. As if he was trying to will his friend some confidence, he murmured, “Just don’t choke, don’t walk away.”
“Here,” Harrison handed you a cup that he had transferred the Whiteclaw into, not wanting to give you back a sticky can. He washed his hands, acknowledging the sad Whiteclaw mark on his shirt.
“Thanks.” You replied, taking a sip of the drink.
“I’m sorry.” Harrison whispered, but with his back to you, the music blasting, and the sink still on, he knew you didn’t hear it. And he also knew that if he didn’t have the sound to drown out his words and if he turned to face you, he wouldn’t be able to recite his perfect speech. Sighing, he shut off the sink and turned to face you. As he started to speak, you looked at him and that was enough for him to not even make it past the “I”. Instead, he ended standing there and just moving his mouth, trying to get the words to come out.
“Yes?” You questioned. You remembered back at school that he was always nervous around you and you found it really cute and sweet. That was the main reason you were so interested in going on a date with him four years ago, and that was the main reason why you were so disappointed when he never showed up. Out of all the guys you’d ever met, Harrison was the one that you never believed would stand you up like that. It’d been four years, and you didn’t quite know if you still held a grudge over it. It hurt at the time because you really liked him and you thought he really liked you too, but years had passed so surely you should’ve moved on by now, right? And Harrison- he should have moved on too?
“I- um- ya know,” Harrison felt his tongue getting trapped in his throat. He wanted to scream out how sorry he was about everything and how much he actually cared about you, but the thought of actually talking anymore was making him want to vomit and he hadn’t even had that much to drink. Maybe alcohol with extreme nervousness wasn’t a good mixture for his body.
“Hey,” Tom approached you and Harrison, sweeping in to save his bumbling best friend.
“Hey, happy birthday.” You smiled at him. Harrison hung his head low in shame, he’d manage to mess it up again. He was more than thankful for Tom’s arrival.
“Thank you.” The birthday boy replied with a smile. He turned to Harrison and nudged him a little. “Harrison, what were you going to say?”
“Just, um-“ Harrison lifted his head to look at you, and suddenly wished he hadn’t. With your eyes resting on his intently and his heart beating fast, he could barely think. He thought back to his speech, back to those apologetic words he needed to say, back to his conversation with Tom just moments before the party. He quickly realized his mistake of thinking back to that recent memory because, before he could process his words, he helplessly blurted out, “You’re like Medusa.”
“Yeah- what?” Tom stopped himself, horrified at his friend’s words. He was fully prepared to back Harrison up, expecting him to say ‘I’m sorry’ or ‘I love you’- just anything besides ‘you’re like Medusa’. You just stood there with your eyes wide and jaw dropped. You didn’t even know what you were expecting him to say, but it definitely was not that.
“You know, like- you just-“ The blond tripped on his words, looking to Tom for help.
“What he means to say,” He sent his friend a glare before turning to you, “He’s sorry about your date years ago, and he finds you mesmerizing.”
“You know what? I don’t want to hear it.” You spoke angrily, feeling hurt by Harrison’s words. So much for the sweet and cute teenager you remembered. “Go fuck yourself, Harrison.” Before you even processed your own actions, you threw the rest of your drink on him and stormed out.
“I’m,” Harrison sighed in defeat as his body started to function without you there, “Sorry.”
“Medusa? Are you fucking serious?” Tom asked, infuriated at his friend’s idiotic words. He was grateful that the party was too loud for anyone to register your actions, except for Sam and Harry who were quick by Harrison’s side.
“What the hell happened?” Harry questioned.
“I fucked it up even more.” Harrison groaned, grabbing some napkins to try to wipe off his face and shirt.
“He said she was like Medusa.” Tom explained.
“Since when is your game with girls shit?” Sam stated.
“She is like Medusa though. I freeze whenever she’s there.” The poor blond kept trying to wipe himself off.
“Well you don’t tell her that!”
“I need to go change.” Harrison sighed, leaving for his bedroom without another word.
“We either need to help him get over her or help him get her back.” Harry said as he watched his friend’s retreating form.
“Tonight was supposed to be getting her back.” Tom huffed in defeat. “This is going to be harder than I thought.”
Back in his room, Harrison discarded his wet shirt and went to his closet to grab a fresh shirt. That’s when he spotted it- the blue button up he’d worn for his date with you. It was his favorite shirt in his teen years, everyone always complimented it and his eyes whenever he wore it; but it had negative memories surrounding it, the negative thoughts of what could have been. It was mocking him. Grabbing a different shirt, he slipped it on comfortably.
He didn’t want to go back to the party downstairs. He just wanted to stay within the comforts of his room, where he could hide from socializing and act like you didn’t just humiliate him, like he had humiliated you years ago. He had to admit, he deserved a Whiteclaw to the face; in fact, he’d absolutely let you pour an entire keg on him if it made you feel better. God, he was so whipped for you, and you didn’t even know it, and worst of all, you weren’t even his.
Sighing, he laid down on his bed, wanting to savor a few minutes alone. It took him a moment before he registered the soft crinkling of paper and realized he’d been laying on his prepared speech for you.
‘I’m sorry, Y/N. I know you’re probably still mad, but just hear me out. I’m four years too late, and that’s four years I should’ve shown you just how amazing you are. I remember the first day I saw you at school. You were the prettiest girl in our school by far; I’d never seen anything as magnificent as you. You were funny, sweet, confident, beautiful inside and out- you were my dream girl. It took me months to work up the courage to talk to you, and I was so pleased when you’d reply to my small greetings with a simple smile. And then it took me even longer to have a full conversation with you. Do you remember it? It was about When Harry Met Sally because you said it was your favorite movie. I told you that I had seen it, but I lied and you knew it too. You were too nice to call me out on that though. Honestly, I still haven’t seen it. I know we didn’t talk much in school, it was more of a ‘we’re friends because we share classes’ friendship, but I still cherished every single time I got to hear your voice.
I know you’re wondering why I stood you up back then, but I didn’t intentionally do it. I was there, at the fairgrounds, two minutes early, and I was stressing over everything- over how I didn’t have a clean jacket to offer you in case you got cold, how I should greet you at the gate, whether or not I should kiss you at the end of the night. You meant so much to me back then- you still do now, but I was too nervous. I couldn’t get out of my car once I saw you there in that blue dress with the dandelions. You were breathtaking, and I couldn’t comprehend how someone as incredible as you would want to go on a date with me. You had almost every single guy at the school in love with you, it just didn’t seem possible that I could win your heart. It took me an hour, but I finally got out of the car and I was going over to you. I was so anxious and I still didn’t know what to say to you. You didn’t realize I was there, but I heard you on the phone. You said you wore that blue dress because you thought it matched my eyes, because you thought I’d like it more, you thought it’d make me like you more.
But you didn’t need a baby blue dress to make me like you. I was so head over heels in love with you back then. You didn’t know it then, and I didn’t know it quite yet either, but you owned my heart. I know this is a lot, and I know this is cheesy, but I do love you. I regret what I did four years ago and I often contemplate how different our lives would be if I had actually shown up like I was supposed to. I don’t regret giving you my heart though; it’s been yours for years and it’ll probably always be yours. So please, will you give me another chance? Will you go on a date with me? And I promise to show up and make it worth your while. You own my heart, please give me a chance at yours.’
Harrison laughed lightly to himself. The note was a pathetic attempt at some grand declaration of love and an apology. As sad as the speech was, he hated himself for not saying it to you. Instead he called you Medusa, of all things to say that was the worst. He didn’t mean it as a put-down or as a derogatory statement; he meant that you were just so captivating to him that he froze whenever he saw you. Everything about you was so beautiful, and he really needed to tell you that, even though he was sure you already knew it. He knew what he meant, but it didn’t come across at all how he intended it to.
He set the paper on his desk and left his room, knowing Tom would be expecting him to return to the party. Freshly changed, he went back downstairs and spotted the other three boys still in the kitchen conversing- he bet it had something to do with him, seeing as they all immediately quieted down when they saw him coming towards them.
“You alright?” Tom asked, genuinely concerned about his friend, even though he was currently trying to plot getting you and Harrison at least in the same room together again.
“Yeah, I’ll be fine.” Harrison replied. He gave his friend a reassuring smile, but he wasn’t fooling anyone really. He grabbed himself a new drink and went to get lost in the crowd. Tom sighed; maybe he shouldn’t have tried to push Harrison tonight, seeing his friend so upset just put a downer on Tom’s mood.
The night went on for Harrison though. Harry had been right last week- Shelby did bring some pretty attractive friends with her that she introduced to the blond (he thought mainly because Tom asked her to after the earlier events). One of them latched onto Harrison, and he didn’t mind the distraction, turning on his charm easily for her. Sam and Harry eyed their friend from afar as he flirted with the new girl; there was no denying Harrison could easily get a girl, which made it even more unbelievable that he was so tongue tied over you.
A few days passed and Harrison was still trying to recover from the party. His thoughts were still stuck on you. He couldn’t believe he had a second chance to talk to you and didn’t. Well, he did, but comparing you to Medusa wasn’t a good talk.
Unbeknownst to him, Tom had created an “ingenious” plan of getting Harrison to see you again, another shot for their friend to say something more than just a sad simile.
“We’re leaving now.” Tom said to Harrison as he and Harry started to walk out the door.
“Okay?” Harrison questioned. It was odd for any of them to announce that they were leaving the house. He had a strange feeling that his friends were up to something, but he couldn’t be bothered to actually care. What he didn’t realize was that Tom left with an envelope, encasing a familiar speech written by Harrison himself.
Hearing the front door close, he turned back to his phone in his hand. He took a sip of his tea as he continued to scroll through your Wikipedia page. Was it weird that he was looking you up? As long as no one knew, he felt like it was fine. He read over your brief background, which just said you were from Kingston.
He choked on his drink a little as he read over how you were discovered. You were singing one of your own songs in a cafe when an agent spotted you and eventually offered you a record deal. The song became your first official single and it was featured on your album of the same name. The song and album name? Dandelion. He could see it then, your blue dress with the delicate dandelion print on it with a denim jacket on top and a slightly damaged left pocket. He turned on the song on Spotify, listening to the lyrics, curious to see if it was about him. As the soft song began, he started to feel foolish; why would you have written a song about him? Maybe you just liked dandelions? Maybe you wore that dress on many dates? It looked incredible on you, so why wouldn’t you wear it often?
“Dandelion, a million little wishes float across the sky, but it’s a waste of breath and it’s a waste of time, I know,” You sounded almost sad as you sang, and Harrison assumed that’s what made you such a good singer, your emotion bled through into your songs, “‘Cause just like him, you always leave me crying, dandelion,”
Crying. Harrison made you cry when he stood you up. Maybe the song wasn’t completely about him, but something told him you may have been inspired after that night. He looked further into the song, wondering if maybe you had publicly said anything. Under the song’s Wikipedia page, it had a quote from you, saying “It was one of the worst nights of my life, getting stood up absolutely sucks and it’s embarrassing, but this song changed my life for the better, so I can’t help but feel a little grateful for that awful date”. As if the song didn’t already make him feel worse about it, you had confirmed it was about him, except no one knew that besides the two of you and anyone else who knew about that date specifically. Further looking into the seemingly endless page of information, he spotted the awards section. He couldn’t hide his pained smile as he read that not only was the song and album nominated for a Grammy, but you had actually won a Grammy for the song. So maybe there was a bright side to him not showing up that night because his actions made you write an incredible song.
As the song faded out, he jumped, hearing a sharp knock at the door. He quickly paused your music and closed out of his tab, not wanting anyone to have caught him basically stalking you online. He shoved his phone into the pocket of his sweatpants and walked to the door, wondering who would be arriving unannounced. He opened the door and froze, just like a few days ago, as you stood on his doorstep. The small smile on your face faltered as you saw him.
“Y/N, what- what are you doing here?” He asked, trying to wrap his head around the fact that you were there and it wasn’t just a hallucination.
“Tom invited me. Something about using my music in a film?” You explained, and Harrison raised his eyebrows at you questioningly. You sighed lightly, “Can I just come in and see Tom?”
“He, uh, he isn’t here.” He replied. A light bulb went off in his head, realizing why Tom was literally announcing his departure; he wanted you to be alone with Harrison.
“He said he was here. I just talked to him on the phone.” You stated, not fully believing him.
“No, he isn’t here.” He shook his head.
“Well, um, then I’m going to go.” You said, turning around. Harrison’s mind was racing, you were about to leave him again. Tom had already tried once to get you two together; he couldn’t let his best friend down again, he couldn’t let himself down again.
“”Dandelion”.” Harrison blurted out, stepping out of his to catch you before you got into your car.
“What?” You questioned.
“”Dandelion”. It’s a really good song.” He grimaced, suddenly feeling lame for saying it out loud. He didn’t mean to bring it up, but he needed to say something to you, and dear God it needed to be better than the Medusa comment.
“Thanks, I won a Grammy for it, so,” You answered proudly, pursing your lips together.
“I- I know.” His flickered down to your hand that rested almost threateningly on your car door handle. You were just about to pull it and leave when he spoke up again, “That dress looked amazing on you.”
This time, it was you who froze. You weren’t wearing a dress now, you weren’t wearing one at the party, and you definitely weren’t wearing one at the grocery store. Your mind had already made up its decision of what he meant, but your heart wouldn’t accept that pain all over again. “It’s been four years, Harrison. You don’t get to say anything now. I thought you were better than standing up a girl on a date that she was genuinely looking forward to.”
Harrison couldn’t react fast enough to your seething words before you got in your car and slammed the door shut, driving off quickly without sparing him another glance.  Once your car was out of sight, Harrison screamed out in agonizing frustration. He had you right there, you were right in front of him, he was actually talking to you, and he still managed to mess it all up. It seemed like no matter what he said or did, you weren’t ready to forgive him, but he wasn’t even sure he deserved your forgiveness.
“You let her go again?” Tom questioned, coming around the far corner of the house with Harry.
“I thought you two left.” Harrison looked at the pair suspiciously.
“We had to make sure you didn’t fuck it up again, but seems like you did.” He sighed, shaking his head, “Why did you tell her you were there? That’ll make her feel worse!”
“At least you didn’t call her Medusa.” Harry added, earning a pointed look from Harrison.
“Just stop trying to set me up with Y/N. She’s clearly still mad at me over it, and I can’t keep going through this humiliating cycle of rejection.”  With that, Harrison wordlessly stormed back into the house and up to his room, angry at his friends for trying so hard to make this right, angry at you for rejecting him yet again, angry at himself for letting you go again and again. Could he get another chance with you after messing it up four years ago and at the grocery store and at the party and now? He so desperately wanted the answer to be yes, but he feared his chances with you were up.
Harry turned skeptically to his older brother as the two walked inside the house. “Are you sure that was a good idea?”
“He talked to her at least. He said a full sentence and it was a compliment.” He said proudly, walking into the kitchen with his brother following him.
“No, I’m not talking about that. I’m meaning your other plan.”
“The letter? There’s two ways it can go: Y/N never talks to him again or she’s touched and reaches out to him.” He stopped, thinking for a moment, “Or she writes another Grammy-winning song about him being a dick. We’ll see in a few days what she does.”
“He’s going to hate you for this, you know that.”
“He won’t hate me when they’re on a date.”
“No, I’m pretty sure he’ll hate you for invading his privacy.”
“Whatever. Our plan is genius.” Tom smiled, extremely hopeful about his plan.
“Our? This was all your idea.”
“You’re an accomplice.”
“I’m a victim caught in the crossfire.” Harry held up his hands defensively.
Upstairs, Harrison was starting to grow worried. Where was his paper? He’d been running through it almost every day, hoping to grow the courage to tell you exactly how he felt. He was shit at words in person when it came to you, and he felt like he was even worse on paper. The speech was gone, and he had no clue where it was. He hoped no one had stumbled upon it- after all, he definitely hadn’t told his housemates about it.
Two days later, Tom started to get anxious, waiting for you to receive the letter and contact his friend. He thought perhaps it got put with fanmail, and you just wouldn’t see it for a while. He knew it was soon, but he was really, really impatient and he just wanted to do one thing right for his best friend, even if Harrison’s one request was for Tom to stop trying to be his wingman (in Tom’s defense, he told him to stop after the letter was sent and Harrison still didn’t know about it).
Trying to distract himself, Tom played Warzone with Harry. Neither of them had really talked about the whole letter situation, wanting the letter to take its own course. Just before they started another round, they heard a thud from Harrison’s room.
“What was that?” The older boy mumbled in confusion.
“Maybe he fell off the bed.” Harry laughed. His joke was short lived as Harrison came bolting down the stairs, phone in hand.
“Tom, give me your phone.” He insisted.
“Why?” Tom asked, handing over his phone anyway. After scrolling through it for a moment, Harrison’s eyes went wide.
“Holy shit!” He exclaimed, looking between the two phone screens.
“What is it?” The two others questioned.
“Y/N- she texted me.” Harrison smiled in disbelief, handing his friend his phone back. He sat down in the empty armchair and looked at his phone in awe.
“What’d she say?” Tom spoke up, ignoring his brother’s questioning look.
“She just said ‘You get one date. Don’t mess this up’.” He read off his phone, and Tom turned to his brother, nudging him a little. You’d gotten Harrison’s letter (that Tom sent) and you’d given him another chance.
“What’d you respond with?” Harry asked.
“I haven’t responded yet. She just texted me.” He said, nervously moving his thumbs as his phone rested in his hands. “Do I just ask about this Friday?”
“You mean tomorrow?” Tom clarified and he nodded.
“Too soon?”
“No, go for it.” He encouraged his friend. He smiled proudly as Harrison typed out the text and sent it to you.
“I wonder what changed her mind. I mean she was really mad last time. What if she’s leading me on? What if she’s going to stand me up?” He rambled anxiously. God, you hadn’t even planned a date yet, and he was a nervous mess.
“She wouldn’t do that.” Tom reassured him. Harrison hurried out of the room, murmuring something about needing to plan the perfect date (round 2). Tom turned to his younger brother, “She wouldn’t stand him up as revenge, right?”
Harry shrugged with a small sigh. Well, the boys could hope your intentions were good.
As Harrison tried to reel in his head and racing heart in the quiet reserve of his room, he felt his phone vibrate with another text from you. ‘They’re showing When Harry Met Sally tomorrow night at the park. Pick me up at 7?’
That’s not at all what he expected to receive back from you. Well, he definitely didn’t expect a text from you in the first place, which is why he had to check that it was actually your number on Tom’s phone. He didn’t expect your response to his sorta lame ‘are you free tomorrow night’ to be you planning the date itself. And not only that, but you wanted to see When Harry Met Sally- the first thing he ever truly talked to you about.
He could still remember that conversation clear as day. You were sitting beside him in study hall and pulled out your iPod to listen to music, since your 2010 phone didn’t have any music on it. You didn’t realize your headphones weren’t completely in, and your music started to play quietly. Harrison heard the soft jazz song play and decided to ask you about it before you got too caught up in your work. You smiled, telling him how “It Had to Be You” was from the greatest movie of all-time (in your opinion) When Harry Met Sally. He told you he’d seen it before and thoroughly enjoyed it as well, but the blank stare on his face when you brought up Meg Ryan was a dead giveaway to you that he hadn’t actually seen it. And yet, you didn’t make a comment about it; instead you asked him about his favorite movie. Before he could respond, your teacher called for silence, making you focus back on your work with your headphones plugged all the way into your iPod. Harrison thought that perhaps he saw you blush as you turned away from him, but he was too preoccupied with his mind still trying to process that you two had a conversation, a tiny one but it was enough for him.
He couldn’t argue with you about seeing the movie at the park tomorrow. You were giving him another chance, and if you wanted to see a movie in the park then Harrison would make damn sure that you’d get to see a movie in the park, even if he had to set up the projector and screen all by himself. This was his fifth chance with you, he couldn’t mess this up again.
“Ok, now remember, Y/N’s a human being so talk to her like one.” Tom stated as he stood by the front door with Harry and Sam beside him. Harrison sat at the step at the bottom of the stairs, tugging on his shoes. His big date was finally here, and his friends were grilling him on making it perfect. It kind of helped, but it also stressed him out a bit more.
“And compliment her, but not in a weird way.” Sam added.
“Don’t even think about Medusa.” Harry piped in.
“You got a clean jacket?” The oldest Holland asked. Harrison ducked back into his room to grab a fresh jacket, one that was perfect for you to wear tonight if you got cold.
“And you have the flowers, right?” At Harry’s words, the nervous boy rushed into the kitchen to grab the small, modest bouquet of fresh roses he had gotten earlier.
“How do I look?” Harrison asked, seeking approval as he held the bouquet in one hand and his jacket and keys in another. In jeans and a casual yet dressy blue shirt, he hoped he looked good enough for you. He thought about wearing that blue shirt he wore last time, but decided against it- maybe that shirt has bad voodoo on it, he didn’t know and he didn’t want to test it.
“You look great, now go get her.” Tom ushered him out of the door.
With a confident yet nervous spring in his step, Harrison stepped inside his car. He delicately placed the flowers and jacket on the passenger seat, sure to not damage or dirty either of them. He made his way over to your place, his fingers drumming nervously on the steering wheel. ‘Don’t choke’ he reminded himself. He needed to just make sure he didn’t freeze when he saw you; that was the most important thing, especially since he’d be driving the two of you tonight.
He pulled up to your house just two minutes before he was meant to be there. Two minutes for him to get up and greet you at the door. Just as he was about to open his door and step outside, your front door opened. He sat there awestruck as he watched you lock your door and head over to his car. You were sporting jeans and a simple navy blue blouse, and he swore you looked absolutely gorgeous. He unlocked his car and you opened the door, not even giving him any time to actually greet you outside.
“I got you flowers.” Harrison said, grabbing the jacket and the flowers off the seat to make room for you to sit.
“Thank you. You didn’t have to.” You smiled softly, but still graciously accepted the flowers when he handed them to you. You smelled them and eyed the various pink and red roses that made up the bouquet, “They’re beautiful.”
“You’re beautiful.” He replied, making you stifle a small laugh, even though you both knew how much he meant it.
“You look pretty handsome, too.” You stated and he started his car back up. “Sorry for rushing out here. My roommate was driving me crazy.”
“I get it.” He laughed, thinking about just how crazy Tom had been acting the past couple weeks. Well, maybe his craziness rubbed off because it led to this moment right here- Harrison taking you on a proper date and hopefully, not freezing.
As Harrison drove over to the park, you two talked about basically everything, about how eager you were to show him this movie, about how his acting had been doing, about how his dog was (he was surprised you remembered Monty). All of it just made him feel more comfortable. Once he got past the wall of nerves from your presence, he was able to flick on his charm for you. You may have been his dream girl, but you were also just a regular person, a person he could hold a steady conversation with. When the two of you arrived at the park, he quickly rushed to the back of his car instead of walking towards the movie itself.
“I brought us a blanket and some snacks.” He explained when he saw your confusion. You smiled at him as he got out a large blanket and a bag of sweets and drinks from his trunk. You may have been the one to decide on the date itself, but he did his own part of the planning, ensuring you had a clean spot to sit and something to eat and drink while the movie played. “I didn’t know what snacks you liked so I kinda got some of everything.”
He opened the bag out to show you its contents and you peered inside. He had sweet candy, chocolate candy, salty snacks, just everything. You looked back up at him and a bright blush made its way onto his cheeks. In your eyes, he was back to being the sweet 19 year old you had agreed to go on a date with four years ago.
“It’s perfect.” You reassured him, but you weren’t even sure if you meant the snacks or the date or just him.
“Well, we better hurry if we want a good spot before the movie starts.” Harrison laughed lightly, closing the bag and shutting his trunk. You walked beside him to where the movie would be showing and found a nice spot near a tree. He laid out the blanket for you and the two of you sat down next to each other, but not enough to actually be touching.
“I’m genuinely excited for you to see this.” You told him as the ads finished, signaling the start of the movie.
“I am, too.” He smiled over at you one last time before the movie truly began. It was only a few minutes into the film when you shifted to lean in Harrison’s side. After the initial shock of your movement, Harrison wrapped an arm around your waist so that you could fall easily into his side while you watched the movie play out. Halfway through the film, he felt you shiver a little and quickly handed you his jacket. He smiled to himself, happy that he definitely did at least one thing right, as you thanked him for the warm jacket.
Sharing snacks with you throughout the movie, he found himself truly enjoying it. He could see how it was your favorite film, how you loved the featured song so much that it was your favorite song. He couldn’t help but acknowledge how it was a film all about second chances, or really just multiple chances with the same person over and over again until they both finally got it right. His history with you may not have been exactly like the film, but he felt like it still resonated; he wondered if you chose the movie completely on accident or if you had remembered about that first conversation, if you had thought of it as similar to your current situation.
His overthinking wasn’t done there though. As he drove you back to your place after the movie concluded, you two discussed the movie (this time with actually understanding who Meg Ryan is). He was a little dazed as he talked, trying to think of how to end the night. Would it be too forward if he kissed you? Because truth be told, he’d wanted to kiss you since the moment he saw you all those years ago. When he pulled up to your house, he was happy to see you still casually wearing his jacket. He didn’t want the night to end, especially considering he still hadn’t really apologized for four years ago, still hadn’t explained himself for what happened at the party, still hadn’t explicitly told you about the mesmerizing effect you had over him.
“Well, thank you for tonight. It was nice.” You spoke up with a smile.
“Yeah, it was.” He nodded, feeling himself start to choke up. He’d made it almost two hours without becoming speechless in front of you, and now at the end of the night, perhaps when it mattered most, he couldn’t speak. You waited a moment before getting out of his car, almost like you were expecting him to say something more. He watched your retreating figure, your right hand shoved deep into his jacket’s pockets. It hit him all at once; you were nervous, you were wearing his jacket, you were walking away from him again. He wasn’t going to let that happen.
“Wait!” Harrison rushed out of his car and hurried up the driveway to you on the porch. As you stood there in front of him, looking at him intently, his nerves came racing back to him, but he had to say the words. ‘It’s now or never’, he told himself.
“Okay, this is four years overdue, but here it goes.” He started with a small sigh, “I know you think I didn’t show the night I was supposed to meet you at the carnival, but I did. You were standing at the front gate. You were wearing a light blue babydoll dress with dandelions on it and a jean jacket, but the right pocket was ripped because you always used to shove your first in there when you got nervous.” You slowly looked down at your right hand, nervously in the jacket’s pocket. Speechless, you listened to him continuing on.
“You were pacing back and forth that night and waited around for almost an hour before you walked away. And you were on the phone to someone when you walked away, telling them that you wore that dress so that it would match my eyes.” Harrison paused, swallowing down his nerves, “I was so nervous, I choked. And you know what, that hardly ever happens to me, but the truth is, Y/N, I think I liked you too much, and somewhere in the back of my head, I knew what that night would mean, and even how my life could be different now if I hadn’t let you walk away, but this a different moment, and- and it’s a chance to make a different choice.” He felt himself starting to choke up again, “And you’re really amazing, and I know we can’t go back in time, but I wish that there was some way-”
Harrison’s words were cut short as you grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Though he was incredibly stunned by the fact that you kissed him, his arms went to your waist, pulling you into him as he kissed you back passionately. The kiss ended all too quickly for him when you stopped it for air.
“Definitely four years overdue.” You smiled at him. If he wasn’t breathless already from the passionate kiss, your smile just his breath away even more.
“Thank you for giving me another chance. I really didn’t want to mess any of this up.” He admitted.
“Well, the letter was so sweet, I couldn’t say no.” You leaned in to kiss him again. He pulled back from the kiss though with wide eyes.
“What letter?” He asked.
“The one that you wrote? About me being the prettiest girl in school and how you were there when I thought you stood me up?” You explained, and his cheeks grew red in embarrassment.
“You weren’t supposed to see that.” He groaned, “I wrote that just so I could apologize to you at the party and to tell you how much you mean to me. I didn’t mean to say you’re like Medusa- I just meant that you’re-” You cut him off with another kiss.
“You talk too much sometimes.” You laughed.
“I can get used to getting cut off like that.” Harrison smiled at you, kissing you again.
He may be mad at Tom for sending that private speech, but Harrison got the girl in the end so maybe his friend wasn’t the worst wingman ever.

----------------------------------------------------------
You were leaning back in your desk chair, you had just finished editing a video to go up on YouTube when you were disturbed by a ping on your phone.
"Are you up for a game of Among us?" Sean was the culprit of your distraction during your well earned break. Not that you minded, the Irish man a great friend of you and a seemingly infinite source of entertainment.
"Idk, are there others I know there as well?" You asked, unsure of wanting to go through the draining process of meeting a bunch of new people and having to worry about first impressions and such.
"A couple. Toast, Sykunno and Felix. Does that sound good?" He responded, you thought for a second, it had been awhile since you streamed and it could definitely be fun.
"I'll be there in 10. Keep the spot open." You messaged back as you closed your phone, and started to set up everything you needed to start the stream.
In the meantime Sean informed the group they could play a quick game with nine people before their fill would arrive.
You kept the intro to your stream quick, posting a quick post on instagram to inform people you were going live.
When you joined the call they seemed to have just finished the game, "Lud, I can't believe you vented in front of me!" You could instantly hear the different voices of your friends fill your ears as they bickered over their last game.
Your little avatar joined the spaceship as the group quieted down. You greeted them cheerfully, "Hi guys!"
Sykunno was the first to greet you as well, he perked up at the sound of your voice, "oh hi Y/n!" You chuckled, "it's been awhile Sykunno."
"Don't steal my simp away like that Y/n." You laughed at Toast's hurtful voice as Sykunno hurried back to denying it. Being more than well aware of the joke it had become it was always fun to tease them about it.
"Sykunno won't know who to simp for now." Felix chuckled as everyone laughed, you were glad to have joined the game, it was already promising to be a fun set of games today.
When you glanced at your chat you could see an arrange of comments flash over the screen, some greeting you, others joking about the comic situation from before yet most kept saying 'wait for it'.
"Hey guys why is my chat being spammed with 'wait for it'? What are you planning behind my back." You were skeptical of the group, knowing full well what they had planned for new comers when they joined in the past. You wanted them to know you wouldn't fall for it but instead of anything you just received laughs in response.
You were confused as ever when Felix spoke up as first, "you don't think they're talking about Corpse, do you?"
This just made you more confused, "Corpse?"
"Wait don't tell me you've never played with Corpse before?" Jack nearly yelled out, and it reminded you why you standardly had him turned down in volume in discord. "Why haven't I forced you to play with him before?!" He continued as the look of confusion only grew on your face. Your chat was going insane as you looked on another screen where discord was displayed, indeed seeing that one of the names in the call was this so called 'Corpse'.
"So uhm, who is Corpse?" You asked somewhat awkwardly, and a deep voice greeted you back.
You were taken by surprise to say the least, Felix comically counting to three before your own voice seemed to return, "assuming that was real, that's one heck of a voice you got there dude." A smile on your face as you continued to look at the screen.
"Yea.. uh thanks?" You could hear the awkwardness in his voice, "I'm sorry, you must get that a lot." You apologized while chuckling as he agreed, "yea, you could say that."
With that settled the game of Among us started. You walked out of cafeteria, followed by Corpse and Sykunno as you did the med scan, Sykunno checking if it was real and doing his own scan after.
Corpse followed the two of you around to cameras where he vented when both you and Sykunno were watching the cameras. His kill in electrical was fast and flawless as he vented back, just in time to see you walk down from the cameras.
You had seen him, he knew that. Yet you didn't run to the button. A devilish smile on your face as you spoke to your chat, "now I'm interested in how his going to play this." Sykunno left cams, and the three of you split from each other to do tasks.
You met up with Corpse once more in admin, as you were scanning your card. The lights went out as you stood at the admin table beside him, who was still faking the task, although it didn't do anything to convince you after what you had seen earlier.
Although you had expected him to kill you right then and there, he didn't. He stayed beside you until the body was reported.
Three people had died so far.
Corpse stayed silent, only speaking when a question was asked. "I was the entire time beside Y/n, they can vouch for me."
You raised your eyebrows as you listened along. He was testing his boundaries. He was testing you.
"He was with me the entire time yes, so that should clear me." You spoke, muting yourself for a second as you talked to your chat, "I'll keep that information for later, he can't kill me now, cause I'm clearing him."
"It doesn't clear you, three people died." Rae spoke up for the first time that meeting, but Corpse was quick to defend you, "If we would've been imposters we would've just double killed twice."
You mouth opened although no words came out. Sykunno backed you up, saying that he cleared you with the med bay scan so both you and Corpse were safe.
"This is actually hilarious." You said as you laughed loudly when the meeting ended. In the end they had skipped because you were still with seven left.
As you walked around the map Corpse trailed you like a puppy, only disappearing once. When you found a body in comms later while walking by you reported it, "it's in comms."
Five people were left. They were one person away from winning.
It wasn't needed for you to reveal your information quite yet, Toast had big brained and figured out that Rae was one of the imposters. Seeing as his evidence seemed accurate enough you voted, and the game didn't end when she was thrown into the vast emptiness of space.
During the next round Corpse disappeared from your side once more, and you left your position. Instead of waiting for him you stood at the button and waited for a few seconds to be sure Corpse had killed before pressing the emergency button.
"Good button." Corpse started and Sykunno agreed. Three people were left.
You smiled as you shifted position, leaning your head on your hand as you watched the screen. "So this button has a reason. We need to vote."
Again both males agreed. "Sykunno remember how you cleared me at med bay the first round?"
"Yes.."
"So then it's Sykunno." Corpse concluded and your confusion was obvious on your camera as you were trying to understand what Corpse was doing.
"Well you didn't check me, so it can definitely be me." Sykunno agreed thoughtfully, and you shifted in your chair, smacking your hands on your desk "Wait what? Sykunno I know it's not you!"
"You were with Corpse the entire game though, and you never cleared me!" He argued back and you failed to see the logic in his words.
"Sykunno I literally saw Corpse vent!" You yelled out, locking your vote into corpse.
This new information seemed to take Sykunno by surprise as well, "wait what? You actually saw him vent? When?"
"First round at cams. I got off earlier than you and Corpse hopped out of the vent after killing someone in electrical, after all that's where the body was found. So after that he followed me around each round." You explained as Sykunno locked in his vote as well.
Corpse didn't say anything before locking in his own vote.
He got thrown out with three votes that round.
You were practically yelled at by both Felix and Jack after not having avenged them by outing Corpse that first round.
It was the second round when the fun really started to happen. Both you and Corpse managed to land imposter this time. You were glad you were muted when you saw the screen with the red letters painted above it, the loud laughing that escaped your throat would've been a dead give away.
You managed to kill two people during that round, both when lights were off. When you shot Sykunno in his head you whispered a silent apology as you self reported his body.
"Okay so who killed my simp?" You spoke as soon as you unmuted yourself in the meeting. Immediately Corpse and Sean went wild, "who killed my best bud?!" Sean immediately followed.
"I swear whoever killed Sykunno won't get away with this." Corpse followed up. Surprisingly enough this pulled any suspicion off the three of you. No one wanted to believe any of you three would actually murder Sykunno.
They shot out Rae for whatever reason that round, although you barely noticed in your laughing fit. You didn't stop laughing after Toast had quite literally said "Y/n, Sean and Corpse have to be clear, otherwise I would've heard Sykunno cry from his room because of the betrayal."
"I'm gonna stalk Y/n. Ain't no way both my best friends are getting murdered." The words that left Sean's mouth in the last seconds of the meeting made you stop laughing.
You followed Sean around, talking to your chat in the meantime, "okay so I'm switching tactics. I'm gonna marinate Sean now."
When the next body was reported you indeed had not left Sean's side. It made the group believe that one of the killers had indeed been thrown out and it also cleared your name.
Now both you and Corpse were cleared, as he had marinated someone the first round and now you also had someone to vouch for you.
"So we got one out just now, otherwise we there probably would've been more people dead." Toast started the meeting when Felix's body was found.
"Or one of the imposters is sitting it out." Hafu continued and immediately they started to debate. With six people left you were ready for a double kill to win.
"I can only vouch for Corpse for round one." Poki spoke up, immediately drawing sus to corpse. There wasn't anything you could do against it so you let it happen, and in the end he got voted out.
His ghost followed you as you walked around. You decided to speedrun the remaining round. You killed Poki first in med bay and vented into security as you walked towards electrical.
If you played this well enough you could put Sean in a 50/50.
Next on your list was either Toast or Hafu. You sliced Toast's neck in comms and when you went to check admin table you could see both Hafu and Sean together in navigation.
You waited for a bit longer before taking the long way through cafeteria, and when you arrived your kill cool down was ready.
You sliced through Hafu's avatar as the screen faded to black and displayed your victory.
The rounds that followed that one were on your end spent as cremated, although they were still a lot of fun. You stayed with Corpse for a large part of it, vouching for each other when you could. More than once that resulted in the both of you being thrown out.
When Corpse left the group you saw that it had been a couple of hours. It was starting to get late for you as well so you too decided to end there. You closed your stream with some last words and got up from your set up as you stretched.
You grabbed your phone as you opened discord, sending a quick message to Corpse, "it was great meeting you! You're one hell of an imposter by the way." You fell backwards on your bed.
Within a minute you got a reply, "likewise, we made a great team." You chuckled aloud. This wasn't what you had planned for the day but it was a lot of fun. You were glad you had joined the game.
"Will you be joining future games as well?" You messaged back, hoping for a positive answer.
"I hope so, it isn't up to me though." You couldn't see Corpses smile through the screen, neither could he see your broad smile as you typed a reply.
"Got it. Rest assured knowing I'll message you as soon as I get the opportunity for anyone to join! No matter what, I hope to see you more often in the lobby." You clicked send as you dropped your phone on the bed. You laughed as you pressed your face in one of your pillows, you could barely believe you just send that.
"Same." The beep from your phone had you grab it as you read his reply, the smile on your face growing brighter.
When you closed discord you could see the massive amount of notifications on twitter. You opened the app, seeing your account swamped with tweets over your stream and the hashtag '#CorpseandY/n' trending.
The tweets ranged from clips from your stream mashed with clips from Corpses stream, to just messages and drawings of scenes of the stream. You recognized your little avatar turning around when corpse vented right in front of you while Corpses avatar was littered with blood splatters in one of the mini comics.
You returned to your chat with him on discord, "have you checked twitter since the start of among us?"
"No, I've gotten a lot of notifications though."
"I recommend you check it." You laughed as Corpse went offline. A couple of minutes later he returned, "we're trending."
"Yup, we are."

Part 2 of the gang getting caught in dracos bedroom?? I love your writing so much ❤❤ youre such an inspirationn!!
I have,,, no excuse for my inactivity other than “I am simp” but sdhbfjhdf I’M SO SORRY TO EVEryone that sent prompts I swear I saw them and they’re all still here so hopefully I manage to get through them all soon.
Thank you so much tho anon <33 and also tagging @drarry-with-a-side-of-harry if you’re still interested, here’s the second part! Hope y’all like it <3
--------------------------------------------------
“Tell me honestly, Draco. Is there someone else in here?”
All of them collectively held their breathes, barely making any sort of movement. They began exchanging nervous glances as they waited to hear what would happen next.
“Of course not,” Draco scoffed. Harry marveled at the fact that he still managed to sound so haughty despite the fact that he knew he was also nervous.
“Is that so?”  Lucius drawled, doubt clear in his voice. “Because Mifty said that she saw someone in the drawing room just a few hours ago.”
There was a brief pause, and the tension in the air only thickened.
“Perhaps she was referring to when I called Blaise through the Floo,” Draco said eventually, somehow keeping his voice even. “She must have meant that she heard him through there.”
“Yes, except I actually clarified whether or not someone was physically here.” Harry supposed he should have been thankful that Lucius might not have thought to ask how many people Mifty saw, but he didn’t want to jinx himself.
“He came through for just a moment to return my notes to me.” Draco was starting to sound more and more confident with his story by the second, and Harry only felt his dread increase.
“What if he sweeps the area?” Harry panicked, dropping his head in his hands. “If he sounds too confident, then Lucius might actually check around and find us.”
“Stop overthinking,” Blaise sighed. “He’d probably be too lazy to check for himself.”
“Now, I know he said he had an unreasonably large bedroom, but it won’t actually take that long to find us if he tried,” Harry reasoned, his leg starting to bounce anxiously. “What if-“
“Shh!”
“Then you won’t mind if I have a look around, then?”
“This is it, we’re going to die,” Harry mumbled.
“Okay, I might actually agree with you on that,” Pansy sighed. “I can’t wait for mother to kill me.”
“Maybe it won’t be so bad if we manage to think of some kind of story?” Hermione offered. “C’mon, help me think of something to say for when he comes in.”
“We were planning on having an orgy,” Blaise said sarcastically, dropping his head back on the bathroom wall. “Face it, we’re doomed no matter what we say. If it’s not death by Lucius, imagine what our parents would say.”
“Fuck off,” Ron scoffed, wrinkling his nose. “I would rather he hex us than give that excuse.”
“What do you propose we say then, oh wise one?” Pansy said, raising an eyebrow at the redhead.
“I dunno,” he shrugged in response. “We have a major project over the Hols and since Draco couldn’t leave without contacting them, we decided it would be better to come here?”
There was a brief moment of silence, each of them trading glances before Hermione spoke.
“Actually, that just might work,” she commented, nodding her head.
“It might not stop him from killing us, but it might soften the blow,” Blaise agreed.
“That doesn’t change the fact that they’re going to hate us!” Harry wailed, restraining himself so that his voice doesn’t get too loud since the two Malfoys were still discussing outside.
“Okay, everyone excluding Potter will give this excuse then,” Pansy said, narrowing her eyes before pointing to Harry. “You, on the other hand, can tell them that you just arrived to sweep him off his feet and take him on a date.”
“What!” Harry yelped, very much alarmed. “No way! Why would I say that?”
“Because you know you want too,” Blaise said with a singsong voice. “C’mon, Potter, you can’t seriously think that you’re that subtle.”
He was just about to protest before Hermione cut him off. “They’re right, Harry,” she said while looking at him with a reluctant smile. “It’s not that hard to spot.”
“Oh my god,” Harry whined, dropping his head back in his hands so that it was out of sight for the rest of his friends. “Does that mean Draco noticed too?”
“Probably not,” Pansy snorted. “You may not be subtle, but Draco can be pretty dense when it comes to these things.”
Harry was just about to speak up and defend that in Draco’s defense, he was actually pretty smart so there was still a chance that he’d have noticed Harry’s feelings for him when they heard a door open.
“See, there’s nobody here,” Draco said nonchalantly. It was at that moment when Harry realized they had entered the bedroom and it wasn’t the bathroom door that they heard.
Everyone immediately stopped talking, and the tension in the air from earlier had returned. Somehow, it felt much more oppressive this time.
“Very well, then,” Lucius said. They only let go of their breaths once they heard two pairs of feet retreating towards the room exit. “Your mother wants you down for dinner in a few minutes.”
“Yes, father,” Draco responded dutifully before they finally heard Lucius leave the room.
“You better praise whatever gods are up there that are looking out for your sorry arses,” Draco ranted, barging into his bathroom and finding them just a few seconds later. He threw the shower door open and gestured for them to get up.
“I’m just surprised he didn’t bother checking the bathroom,” Blaise said, stepping out of the bathroom before flopping himself down on the bed.
“We need to find a way for all of you to get out now,” Draco said, any sense of calmness he portrayed for his father just moments ago disappearing. “Because they’re going to get suspicious if I don’t come down for dinner, and one of the elves might spot you in here when I do.”
“If they’re going to be in the dinning room, won’t it be safe for us to leave through the front?” Pansy asked. Harry didn’t really remember the interiors of the house when they came in, but he supposed it made sense since they were best friends.
“Yes, except to get to the main door, you have to pass by the dining room entrance,” Draco said, a pointed eyebrow raised.
“Okay, I know you said a disillusion charm wouldn’t work, but I think it just might in this situation,” Hermione offered, making everyone in the room turn to face her.
“How so?” Draco asked.
“Well, if they’re both in the dining room, they’d hardly notice if a few vague figures passed by the door. Especially if we lay low and do it quickly.”
“Hmm, that just might work, actually,” Draco said, perking up almost instantly. “You just have to be very quiet in that area, but I think I can distract them long enough for you to walk past the door.”
They began casting the disillusionment spells on each other – or rather, Hermione and Draco were since they did them best – and in a few minutes, they were ready to make their escape.
“Wait for me to go in and greet them before you begin walking past,” Draco reminded for what was probably the 6th time in the past 3 minutes. “I’ll keep talking to distract them so you have to-“
“Yes, we know,” Ron sighed, interrupting him. “Leave quickly in the short window that you’re distracting them.”
“Good,” Draco nodded before taking a deep breath. “Okay, let’s go.”
Quietly, the 6 of them began making their way through the complicated hallways of the Manor, trailing a few meters behind Draco as they did so. It was only when he held his hand up did they stop, just before the final turn they would need to take before reaching the main entrance.
“Father,” Draco greeted, Harry felt a small shove on his back and glared blindly at the vague silhouettes of his friends, unsure of who actually pushed him.
“Fuck you,” he hissed softly, not even sure of who he was addressing at that point.
“Move!” one of them whispered. Sighing to himself, he began making his way towards the exit, following what he was pretty sure was Ron’s figure in front of him.
“Draco, you came down earlier than we were expecting,” Lucius commented. Their voices gradually got louder as they neared the dining room entrance. “Your mother is still settling some of her things down.”
“…Oh?” The brief pause was enough to make Harry break out in cold sweat. In a few steps, he was standing just outside of the room entrance with enough space to peek his head through.
He saw Draco make his way over to one of the seats, pulling out his chair before settling down. Lucius was seated at the head of the table, and the final seat that had been set up remained empty.
“Yes, but she should be joining us in a few minutes,” Harry heard Lucius respond. Harry found himself staring through the door, even as he was walking by. “She just-“
It was at that moment when Harry bumped into something that he finally refocused his attention to where he was walking, belatedly realizing that the thing he had bumped into was actually the Malfoy matriarch.
“Now who might this be?” Narcissa asked, looking in the general area of Harry’s eyes. She immediately pulled out her wand, making Harry flinch for a second, before realizing that she was simply cancelling the disillusionment charm.
“Mr. Potter?” If she was surprised, her tone didn’t give anything away.
“Mrs. Malfoy,” Harry forced a smile, unsure of what else to say in that very moment. He heard the conversation that was happening in the dining room suddenly die down before they were joined by both Lucius and Draco.
“Mr. Potter,” Lucius said evenly.
When Harry made eye contact with Draco, he silently hoped that he would have a solution to get them out of that mess.
“Harry,” Draco said, his tone giving away that there was nothing else that could be done in that situation. He watched as Narcissa glanced from him to Draco, before looking back at him. When she opened her mouth, he was half expecting her to scold them.
“Mr. Potter,” she repeated. “Would you care to join us?”-————————————————-

_______________
"Im glad you will spend your vacation here in the countryside! It's so long since i saw my favorite niece." my aunt said.
I smiled.. I'm here at my parents province. They decided to sent me here because they know what will i only do while there's no school, they said i needed some peaceful rest away from technology and in city.. That's why I'm here in the countryside.
"Im glad too auntie.. Its been so long" i keep looking outside.. I'm getting bored despite that i do have my phone but there's no wifi nor signal.. I can't post anything in my social media and i can't even message my friends.
"i see you're bored?.. I'm sorry we don't have a stable signal here honey.. Maybe i should just show you our strawberry farm? And also you can pick some strawberries there!! "
My mood lit up when i heard strawberry..
They have a strawberry farm? I didn't even know about that, now that i think of it this vacation will be awesome.
"sure!! I would love to!" i hurriedly grab my small bag and tag along with my aunt.
_________
"we're here! And here's your basket" my aunt handed me a basket.
I looked up and saw a sign with the name of the farm..
La Riféz strawberry farm.
"la rifez...." i muttered under my breath.
"Mother! Cousin!!" i heard a calling voice not so far from our spot, i tilt my head and saw my cousin running towards us..
"sam is here i should get going now I'm gonna meet some buyers, you take care of yourself okay? I don't want your mom to beat me." i laugh and nodded before bidding a goodbye to my aunt.
"Heyyy long time no see!! I missed you so much" sam hugged me and i respond to it.
"you grew up so well. The last time i saw you was simping for that boy named seungcheol ey?" i teased her and she immediately grew red.
"oh stop I'm not simping for that camel guy anymore, he left.."
I'm surprised to hear that but i didn't ask any more further.. Because i don't want to hurt her feelings, ever since we're kids sam has found feelings for seungcheol but never noticed by the boy. I would say my cousin is a martyr.
"Anyways you're here for vacation right?!! And you're picking strawberries?!!" she asked and i nodded.
But suddenly her shoulders fell.. "i wanna go with you and tour you around but i can't I'm too busy today.." she said with a pout displayed in her face.
"It's fine i can tour my self, and when i come back I'll have a lots of picked fresh strawberries in my baskets" i said and giggled.
As much as i wanted her to be with me, i wouldn't want to interfere her studies.. Sam has been my best friend and cousin since day 1, when we have family gatherings no one can separate us.
"ok be careful out there!" she said before bidding a goodbye.
I waved at her and starts to walk and picked some strawberries.. There's no one in the field only me, its so quiet i never knew a place can be so quiet.. Perks of living in city I'm enhanced with the noisy surroundings. But i think I'll like it here.. New environment.
I looked at my basket.
These strawberries i picked isn't enough. I need to look for more..
I walk and walk until i saw a bush with a lot of strawberries, i run into it with joy but didn't notice that there's a cliff in the way that's hiding behind the bushes..
"aaaaaahh--"
But fortunately before i even fell into my death a hand caught my arms and harshly pulled me up to the land. The impact was strong so i drop down into his chest.
My heart is beating so fast and i can't breath properly, i almost die because of my stupidy.. I looked at where my body fell and i saw a guy wearing a clean white top, i immediately stand up to catch my breath but when my gaze land in the guy, i again stopped my breathing..
He. Was. Ethereal.
His face is unbelievably handsome and flawless, he has those innocent eyes and pinkish lips that every girl would drool off..
He noticed me staring that's why he chuckled. Even his chuckled sounds so good.
"i-i.. Thank you very much for saving me" i said face beginning to be red.
"no problem, but next time you would like to check some signs." he pointed at the sign in the side of the cliff.
CLIFF AREA. NO PEOPLE ALLOWED.
"Im sorry i didn't saw it.. I was just so excited to pick those strawberries.." i bow down my head in embarrassment.
"i see you're new here?" he ask and i nodded meeting his mysterious eyes, i don't know why but i feel this exciting moment in my stomach to my heart when I'm looking at those eyes.. His eyes made me lose for words
"Joshua." he said.
"pardon me?"
"i said my name is joshua and you?"
I gain my consciousness and answered him.
"y-y/n.. My name is y/n"
"y/n.. hMmH.. Beautiful name for a gorgeous lady i see.." he chuckled, i can't help but to rolled my eyes and said, "i heard that line so many times mister" and chuckled with him
After a minute of silence. He spoke, "wanna go stroll? - -"
I looked at my wrist clock that says 5:57 pm. It's nearly night and the sky is getting darker.
"um... Sur--"
"y/n?! Where are you honey? Its getting late we need to go home now!" i heard my auntie calling for me in thr distance, i signal her to wait for a second as i looked at joshua again.
"guess.. We can't hang out today, maybe tomorrow shua, I'm really thankful to you."i said Ready to walk away but he grab my hands again as i met his lovely gaze again.
"um.. Please take this as a gift from me" he said and handed me a strawberry jam..
My eyes widen and i run and hug him with joy, i didn't realise what i did until i felt him froze in his spot. I walk back and cleared my throat.
"t-thank you again.." i said feeling my heart beat increased, i picked up my basket with the strawberries left and ran where my aunt is.
But is he not going home?.
____________
"so y/n, how was it? Did you picked up many strawberries?" sam asked.
I wasn't planning to tell them what accident happened earlier because thry would panicked and sent me back to the city.. Yes i wanted to be in the city earlier when i didn't know countryside can be thid peaceful and beautiful.. And i want to know joshua more.
I didn't get too many strawberries because the others fell down on the cliff.
"not that many but i saw a friend and gave me this" i said and show her the jam.
"wow, you met someone who who??" she sits closer to me as she whispered asking who's the 'friend'.
"secret" i whispered back and giggled, she seems to be upset and pretend to sulk..
Aunt came back to the living room with snacks in her hands.
"good thing you didn't go to the cliff near the farm.. I was so worried to see you alone, near the cliff earlier." auntie said.
My eyebrows met.. What did she mean alone? Joshua is there too.. Maybe aunt didn't saw him because of the bushes.
I picked up a biscuit and listen to the radio news.. But i didn't expect what the news said, it made my heart tump repeatedly fast and made my sweats cold.. And i feel like my world stop for a moment, i felt goosebumps spread all over my body.
"breaking news, the body of the boy who fell down and went missing on the cliff 5 years ago near in la riféz strawberry farm has been found.. It was found by one of the workers of the farm on around 6:00 pm.. The family of hongs was relief that they found the body but wasn't glad that they had to know that they're son is now dead.. But they will continue to investigate about hong Joshua's death. "
I'm again starting to feel goosebumps all over me, as tears pricked in my eyes. I accidentally let go of the biscuits and i covered my mouth with my hands.. My tears are now falling down like a waterfall, as i continue to sob. I can't breath properly.
He's dead.. 5 years ago, the joshua i met earlier is just a spirit.. He saved me because he didn't want me to die like he experienced, it said that his body was found around 6:00 pm, which is the time me and aunt already got home..
I suddenly feel someone's watching me so i diverted my gaze in the window and saw him, i gasp loudy and cry more when i saw him looking at me through the window with blank expression and bloods falling down from his head to neck.. I saw his white shirt covered in blood, his face..his ethereal face that i so adored its full of bruises and wound.. It wasn't sl ethereal anymore but i can still see the innocence in him.
"Joshua.." i muttered..
My aunt and cousin noticed me crying since earlier and try to calm me down and shake me in to the reality but all i did was to stare at Joshua's bloody face..
"y/n?? What's wrong?! What's happening to you??."
I gather myself up and wipe my remaining tears.. I looked at the window again and he vanished, just like that, like a bubble.
"you know joshua?" my aunt ask.
I nodded eagerly, as i stop my self from crying, I'm experiencing multiple Feelings, i don't know if I'm scared, sad or whatever..
"h-how?" my cousin stuttered asking.. I looked at her breathing heavily.
"remember what i told you earlier the friend who gave me that jar of strawberry jam?.. Its him." i said but the last words came out as whisper..
"now i understand.." i look at my aunt she sigh before continuing..
"Joshua is popular in the town not because of his handsome face and wealthy family.. Its because he's one of the most kind and gentleman son you could ever ask for. He's so kind to everyone that i almost forgot that he's the son of the most wealthy family here.. He gave you that jar because when he's still alive he used to make the most delicious jam, it's his hobby.. But one dsy changes everything he was picking some strawberries when he didn't notice the cliff.. I was so thankful that the hong family didn't sue us. That boy, i would never forget that boy. "
*********
I sigh for the tenth time as i glance to the jam that was in the table besides my bed.. I already calm a bit but still shock didn't leave my body.. He was dead, I'm not gonna see him tomorrow or forever.
But i have a question that i needed to answer since earlier, why am i so attached to him?. Maybe i was already fund of him since he saved me, he's my savior..
I saw a note peeking in the jar, there wasn't a note there Earlier?.. I picked up the note and read it but as soon as i read the first paragraph tears find their way to flow in my cheeks again.
"My dear y/n, you're probably shocked about the news today, yes I died 5 years ago.. I'm not gonna lie when i saw you crying while staring at me earlier, i felt a pang in my chest.. I don't wanna see you crying because of me, and I also wanted to thanks to you that my mission here on earth is finally done, I'm now ready to walk into the afterlife, my mission is to save someone in that cliff.. But in the past 4 years after the incident no one dared to step a foot in that place they were scared but you happened to be new here and i know you're the one who'll help me.. To be honest when i saw your face i was beyond amaze by your beauty.. But i guess i will never meet that beauty again, take the jam as a thanks from me.
