When people say Christina’s skating was technically weak before moving to IAMO, could you provide some examples of what that looked like or means or explain what has changed? My “goal” for the season is to get better at understanding the technicality of ice dance :)

i'd love someone who can be more technically detailed chime in on this question, but i watched this video of them skating Farrucas at Lake Placid in 2019, which was the first time i saw them live - and omg how they've grown

back then, they were doing types of lifts where he does a lot of the work- he's lifting and spinning her. many places you can see he's pulling or pushing her, and their speed is determined by how fast she can go. you can tell he could go faster. the video quality isn't great, but sometimes you can see the mark their skates make on the ice, and she's kicking up snow on some turns. she's not as deeply or smoothly curving into the ice as now.

i'm not saying any of this to criticize - Igor favors his male skaters and underestimates his female skaters. in a TSL interview he was asked to talk about VM and DW, and he didn't say a word about Tessa or Meryl, just talked about how good Scott and Charlie were - if he treated female Olympic gold medalist dancers like this, you can imagine what teen Christina's experience in that camp might have been

anyway, her performance quality- in 2019 she has less control over her limbs and her carriage isn't as open as now. the intentional quality all the way through movements isn't there yet

2023 Christina has face, she uses her upper body beautifully and expressively, her skating has more flow and glide, and she's SO strong - their handstand lift would be unimaginable for 2019 Christina. and most of all, she looks more confident and like her skating is personal - i know that's not technical, but it makes a big difference in how performances feel. their RD depends on feeling free

Started on the sixth of January and planned to be finished on the fourteenth, but landed up not doing that. Somewhere on the sixteenth, I basically said "haha whoops" and pumped out twenty panels. According to Procreate, it took 15 hours and 37 minutes to finish Panels 1-10; 27 hours and 15 minutes on Panels 11-20; and 34 hours and 8 minutes for Panels 21-30.

In total, I have no idea. I just know it took some serious time.

Unlike with She's Gone, I wrote a script. Well, all I wrote was dialogue and some minor actions for Panels 5-23, though lines were changed "in post." Everything else was by the seat of my pants. However, I can say for sure that I was planning on ending it with N being hopeful, but all I had room for was him crying. He cannot catch a break.

I have this very specific vision that book 2 of TWP ends with Kit taking the fall for the necromancy and being imprisoned in the Silent City, after which Ty and Dru tell the rest of the Blackthorns + the NY institute + Jem and Tessa everything, but when they try to get Kit out they just find this empty torn apart room because Mother Hawthorn got there first...

hi guys here's my weekly update for y'all about the GTA5 RP streams ive been watching constantly!

the government of los santos is planning on starting a war with a sovereign nation just off the coast of san andreas called the sanguine isles because the nation has been trafficking weapons and supplying gangs within los santos with guns and literal WMDs that have taken so many lives and destroyed entire buildings.

this all started because at first the PD decided to infiltrate sanguine by putting an undercover spy on the island and having him worm his way into the island's militia inner circle. he got heavy amounts of intel on everything and provided this intel directly to the commissioner of the PD and to the director of the detective agency of the PD.

recently, after about 2-3 months of UC work and intel gathering, his cover was blown after the agent was spotted by allies of the sanguine isles while on the mainland for his uncle's funeral (his uncle being the previous commissioner who set up this whole op) and was recognized.

it wasnt immediate recognition and there was a lot of doubt as to whether divine (the cop) and jamie (his undercover identity) were the same person, but it really all got fucked up last night when yaeger (the leader of the sanguine isles) was called by shelby (one of the new commissioner's fiance) because she was pissed the commissioner was focused on work (the spy possibly being in danger bcus he decided to go back to the island) instead of wedding planning and asked him directly if divine (the cop) was in danger. this directly confirmed to yaeger that jamie (the undercover ID) and divine (the cop) were the same person.

divine, having learned how his cover was blown, went full scorched earth because he's severely mentally fucked up from his time on the island. he snitched on the PD to yaeger. then he refused to leave the island and told everyone he was joining yaeger.

bundy (senior park ranger) was called in for legal advice and help with a possible assassination attempt. he managed to talk down the commissioners of PD and the director of detectives from pulling a full on CIA operation that involved infiltrating the island and assassinating divine. because that would've basically been the state of san andreas declaring war on the sanguine isles.

instead, bundy (senior park ranger) invoked legislation written months ago because divine also has a warrant out for his arrest (he shot someone in the head for pissing on his uncle's grave) and the legislation is very clear that if someone on the island has a warrant, then los santos/san andreas has every right to go to the island to apprehend this individual and yaeger has to cooperate and assist them in the apprehension or else it is considered a violation of international law and possibly a declaration of war against the state of san andreas.

bundy (who is, i cannot emphasize this enough, a park ranger who is just a senior patrol officer.) basically came in to what was about to be an international incident that would lead to san andreas being seen as the aggressors and turned it completely around to the point where the sanguine isles are now violating international law and san andreas military has every right to invade them.

A more shadowhunter based question - what do you think his favourite weapon will be??

Every shadowhunter has a favourite weapon, Julian with a crossbow, Emma with Cortana, Livia with sabres, Cristina with her butterfly knives.

For me I see three possibilities for Kit and which ones he’d like best. Bow & Arrow, Katana, or similar to Cristina, butterfly knives (or any kind of dagger)

Ngl im lowkey rooting for Katana. I think he would really enjoy that. I know in SOBH we learn that Kit just lives a normal-ish life, but I do hope he gets to go on shadowhunter missions every once in a while!

i stand by the theory that bc there will be so many links to arthurian legends, we have gotta see someone with excalibur and i predict that that may be kit (entering his arthur pendragon era) ;)

My family never put much priority on my comfort or happiness. I'm slow to wake up, and I grew up thinking that I hate mornings. My sister is the type of a person who is as wide awake as she'll be all day as soon as her eyes snap open, and when we were teenagers she used to wake me up on school days by tossing the dog at me (our old Tessa was enough of a terrier to always land on her feet, claws first, and could be tossed like a cat) and waking up every day having to wrestle a dog's tongue out of my mouth before I could open my eyes was Not Nice.

My family would berate me for being too sensitive, dramatic, or even downright manipulative, for being able to burst into tears first thing in the morning.

When my boyfriend wakes up before me, he takes meticulous care not to wake me up. He climbs out of bed so cautiously and slowly, gets dressed without turning on the light, and sits quietly in the dark of our one-room apartment until my alarm rings or I wake up on my own. This morning, I woke up to notice that the room was softly lit in a way I didn't recognise, and saw the love of my life quietly gaming in the light of a storm lantern.

I love mornings.
