“Do you think wilmon relationship is toxic?”

Not at all.

It's definitely a complicated dynamic, but none of it made me ever define wilmon relationship as toxic.

There are two specific moments that come to my mind to prove my point: 1) simon standing up for himself - i don’t want to be anyone’s secret - and yet not forcing wilhelm to come out, but giving him all the time and space he needed; 2) wille felt ready to let simon go and allow him to love someone else, despite it being the last thing he wanted to do and his current heartbreak, bc he thought it was for the best, for both of them to stop hurting.

People seem to forget about it but - they're so young. not facing life in the most mature and rational way is more than okay. they proved so many times to have such respect for each other’s boundaries tho. they're still learning a lot from each other, they’ve grown along with everything they’ve been through and always found their way back together eventually.

They’re still learning to communicate too and it’s the reason why they fight more than once, ending up speaking their truth and feelings in a not-so-comfortable way. there are no conflicts just for the sake of angst bc they're always constructive, also leading them both to make choices for themselves, and i personally love it.

It's the stressors and circumstances affecting them that have to be called toxic. can't wait for the wilmon endgame in s3 but i've already seen enough to say that they're meant to be - i really mean it.

i think they're very good friends and mr war veteran george hodgson had no problem murdering innocents when he believed he was getting revenge for his purehearted bestie. i feel like when everyone else in the wardroom rolls their eyes in annoyance at john's self righteousness, george is fond of it. george has no illusions that he's righteous, nor good, nor anything but an enjoyer of lifes simple pleasures, the clavier, good wine, fine art (john paints watercolors) and i think john knows george isn't a holy soul but he loves him anyway. i think that they love about eachother what everyone else hates about them. they see eachother's worst faults as their best quirks. believeing that friendship with this person will improve the both of them. perhaps john's concious believes he can save george's soul (though his subconcious likes him just as he is) and perhaps george's consious believes he can temper and culturize john's rigid demenor (though his subconcious thinks he should never change). when everyone else thinks john's a killjoy, george hears the veiled jokes that underscore his conversations (they aren't jokes that make you guffaw, but quiet acknowledgments of irony or relatability). i think that george thinks john gives good hugs (for his hefty form and strong arms) but john this george gives good hugs (for his tight grip and sentiment), and both think the other is better at hugs. i think they're both not very fond of themselves, when pressed, but feel most at home in eachothers company.

my hoffstrahmdon thoughts tend to be various canon divergence type AUs for hoffdon and hoffstrahm mixed together.

i like to think Hoffman had to take care of Lawrence when he was still very injured and delirious while John and Mandy were away in X. i also like to think Hoffman did wonders for Lawrence's gay awakening, since Lawrence is the most closeted gay man to ever live. to me. Hoffman, experienced in all things homo, is also definitely aware Lawrence is into him before Lawrence is even aware of it. Which is knowledge he uses to fuck with Lawrence as much as possible.

(if they had a fling or two in one of those warehouses then that's between them and whatever cameras John had set up in there.)

ultimately, i think they're two very fucked up guys wrecked with grief who grow to understand each other just a little bit, which leads to them also getting the slightest bit attached, despite their best efforts not to. a lot of very mixed feelings about each other all around.

as for the Strahm part, i think it'd be incredibly funny to mix Lawrence into the classic "Strahm swallows his morals and runs away with Hoffman to play house" type situation. hoffstrahm are like 8 months into living together peacefully in some random little town after Hoffman got his face ripped open and Lawrence shows up unannounced while Hoffman's home alone. Strahm comes back and walks in on them mid argument. immediately connects the dots as to why That One Guy from That One Jigsaw Trap is suddenly in his living room:

and then he promptly has a mental breakdown.

honestly like i dont identify as nonbinary anymore now but like yknow back in the day in like middle school into high school when i did identify as nonbinary but wasnt out about it i rlly did identify rlly strongly w odo and think of my identification of him in terms of him occupying a kind of ambiguous space in the gender matrix and how pissed i was that they hooked him up w major kera nerys and how it liked i felt anyway like they masculinized him in relation to kera but maybe thats wrong on a rewatch anymore odo nonbinary ur so real for this fight on comrade

I watched DS9 as a sheltered young person who wasn't yet aware you COULD be different genders. Seeing Odo be awkward in his sense of self and in sexual/romantic situations felt extremely relatable and he was ALWAYS my favorite for unknown reasons to me, I just loved him. When I first watched the show again after IDing as Non Binary and Aro/Ace, I was honestly surprised he never set off the light bulbs more back then lol.

In terms of Kira, I 100% know what you mean and could write so much on how I feel about their relationship. I think the close, strong bond of them was perfect but then they put them in a ~relationship~ and now Odo refers to her to someone else as "the woman [he] loves"? Biting killing he would NOT say that. I really like what they have being in the unspoken parts of it. Kira never minded Odo's quiet and I think making him having to "woo" her cheapens what they mean to each other. Kira Nerys waiting for HIM to make a move? Kira makes ALL the moves, that's her whole character, she would be the one gently making more time to be around him, they aren't the dating type, no matter if the relationship is romantic, platonic, or QPR.

And they SHOULD have played with his gender, girls night with Jadzia who paints his nails and allows him to explore who he IS beyond a fuzzy mirror of Dr Mora

what are ur Cedric ships?

hmm, honestly i’m alright with any pairing that consists of cedric and another consenting adult, but my three fav ships for him would have to be:

1. cedland - the conflicted past and present that they share is just sooooo good. i love angsty ships 😋

2. cedlock - they have a really fun dynamic oml. i especially love all the fics where greylock is desperately pursuing cedric while the other is clueless to it

3. magric - ITS INTRIGUING, ALRIGHT 😭

who's your favorite oc and what's their lore?

o my goodness.... you don't even knoww the rabbit hole you've opened uppp... thank u dearly for this im about to be soo annoying . BUCKLE UPP

so basically i would categorize my 'favorite oc' as 2 different things- there's an oc that i emotionally love the most and hold very dear to my heart and that's Ronni (pictured below).

she's a college student majoring in fine arts. she goes on a trip with her friends to california, and something devastating happens and she is transported to an unfamiliar world along with her group of friends. as they all try to figure out a way back home, ronni struggles. she is used to being passive in her own life- she is quiet, and timid, and terrified of conflict, and she's been put into a world full of it. she struggles with inaction and fails to put herself first in important situations.. but her roommate and complete opposite, Lima (the shorter one in the 2nd artwork), drags her out of this shell and inspires her to do anything her little heart desires. and they're gay. THEY'RE GAY TOGETHER! AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES! SILLY MUTUAL PINING ROOMMATE LESBIANISM! RAHHH!

the second type of favorite oc i have is one whos story i am very proud of/one whos kind of my main focus when i work on this world, and that's Severni to me.. she is sad and tragic and writing/drawing her is very cathartic. (the face tats in the 2nd artwork are inaccurate so ignore them.. its a very old drawing LOL)

she comes from a very long line of matriarchal rulers. the country's religion is very ingrained in their society and it revolves all around the bloodline of the royalty- they're believed to have unearthly powers, and are sort of treated like a god. while the bloodline does have powers (that only the women can possess), the religion greatly exaggerates them. the powers are mostly feelings and instincts- nothing really physical.

(the girl who transported the ronni's group of friends i was previously talking about also had these same abilities, but that sort of world-hopping power is only activated involuntarily, in great moments of desperation. very cliche i know but i love it)

anyways. it would take a very long time to explain all of severni's lore and i'd have to explain like 6 other oc's lore along with it so i'll only brush the surface of it now, but basically.. the pressure to have a daughter when you're ruler is insane, since only women get the gift and it needs to get passed on. so severni's mother, milada, had two baby boys before she had severni who, because of their culture, she had to kill. then serverni is born, and then 6 years later, her younger sister petra comes. severni ends up dreading becoming a ruler, and milada, bitter and traumatized from her own childhood and having to kill two of her babies for severni to be born, becomes very abusive. severni learns to keep quiet.

when severni is 20, milada is caught by her old childhood best friend, mirko, as she beats severni. mirko loses it, and kills milada in front of her. severni, devastated and confused and young, calls the guards, and mirko is banished.

the mantle empty, severni's turn to rule. petra, her herself terrified of ruling and of her mother's death, runs away shortly after with her secret girlfriend on the guard. they're missing for two days before severni feels, through the gift she was given at birth, the moment her sister dies. she revokes the search parties. she lets go. she rules her country.

Ok so this is interesting.

Obviously I love to speculate, so I've had a few theories about her.

We'll probably learn more about her royal past in later books. What I really want to know is who her patron is, and if that relates to her being smuggled in or something like that. Jess did say we'd meet basically all of Unit 919's patrons in Silverborn, and I'm dying to know about Lam's.

Since she got smuggled in like Morrigan, I wonder if anyone will ever find out?? I mean there have been hints to Hawthorne competing in the dragon tournament (possibly in the Wintersea Republic), so if Unit 919 joins him, I wonder if along the way we'll meet Lam's family???? Like her fam organized the whole smuggling thing so I think they might just be like "why are you here!!!" Idk just spitballing here lol

I've noticed that throughout the books she seems to be more prevalent than some of the other Unit 919 members, so she's definitely a main focus I think.

There's just a lot of material to expand on with her. She's known for swooping in and getting the rest of Unit 919 out of trouble, so I wonder if she's gonna have a big moment in a later book.

I think it's a bit hard to tell now because there's still SO MUCH we don't know about her. So for now I'm just gonna sit here with my head on my desk screaming "I NEED SILVERBORN."

YES BIG FAN. i love wearing sweaters and layering and would always rather be cold than hot. i do however hate wearing jackets...so chilly is basically the best weather.
