To be able to work to get to the top of something with a good friend and share that moment, skiing a line with them, or after them, or before them - and get to the bottom and just share that enjoyment is incredible.

To sum things up a bit..

Some weeks ago I packed up my skiing gear and flew down to Bergen to meet up with my brother. We had then planned to get up early the next day, pack up the car and drive down to Hemsedal.

As I’ve mentioned before it has been a really bad season back home in Tromsø. We have had more rain then snow since the start of the new year. I actually can’t remember the last time we had such $h!t f@ck conditions - all season long. Though In Hemsedal it’s a whole other story. They have been absolutely pounded with snow since pretty much the start of the winter. So we were bound to have a great time - and it sure turned out that way.

Both me and my brother had an absolute blast shredding the good stuff. And as seen on the pictures over and down below - we found lots of powder and the good times was definitely on!

"Scouting for a new line."

After three days of almost non-stop skiing and snowboarding we were both tired and sore in our bodies. Despite that it was two happy guys who got back in the car and drove home to Bergen again.

Back in Tromsø - the strange weather is holding it’s ground. Haven’t got around to do any more ski touring lately. The avalanche danger is off the charts and I’m not willing to take the risk of going out there by myself. It’s just not worth it..

With that being said I feel the need to get some more time on the Hojis. Best ski ever - Thank you Eric Hjorleifson. The good news is that spring is coming, fast - and though the sun is shining and it’s getting warmer outside, there is still good skiing to be had with somewhat less avy danger..

The ski season is coming up!

And to shorten down our waiting time, what better things are there to do than to watch some ski movies? This last Saturday Fri Flyt Film Tour stopped by in Tromsø. They held a screening of “Into the Mind” - the latest and greatest ski movie from Sherpas Cinema. There was also a presentation held by Åsmund Thorsen - one of Norway’s best freeriders.

It definitely was a nice evening, with good people, good beer, a lot of gore-tex jackets in one place - in general good times..
