if we look at the original timeline (aka annabeth and percy being born in 1993) then 2009 was a big year for annabeth bcus not only did the battle of manhattan take place and she finally started dating percy, but also minecraft came out and i think that would be a big deal to her

You know, it's genuinely sad to me that aging favourite character actors no longer have any fun murder-mystery tv shows to guest-star as murders on.

i'm houseposting way too much another reason nobody but hugh laurie could play house is because he gets house's mannerisms with his cane down so well i'd genuinely believe he used one irl.
it's in the way house slides things over to himself, like coffee cups and papers, or his chair to grab his phone in the bath. he hangs it on hospital equipment without a second thought, on random surfaces in his house, and he knows exactly how high to raise it to hang it on his doorframe so he can have his hands free. he pressed elevator buttons with it instead of using his hands. he's so much more expressive when it's in his hand- he's had the thing so long it's like another limb. he gestures more, fiddles with it, blocks things with it. you can even see he's used to doing most things one handed, and holding as many things in one hand as he can.
it's a small thing, but it adds a lot to how hugh laurie plays him yk?

i wanted to write a quick 3-chapter fic for day 4 of loa shiptober (how they met i think) and i (a fool) was like. yeah. i could totally write 3 chapters in a few hours. i was wrong. SO wrong. haven’t even finished kremy’s (the first one).
so instead have a maybe-past-kremy design that im conflicted about compared to his current design, as a peace offering

Literally all I want for Season 2, or fanfics, is for VOX to use the fact that Alastor was wounded defending the hotel and disappeared and Charlie et all didn't even LOOK FOR HIM - not AGAINST Alastor but to try and get Alastor ON HIS SIDE. Cause you know for all his being obvious about how much he hates Alastor what he really wants is Alastor on his team, joining the Vees, being his friend (and maybe more) again, and if he sees a chance to get that he will jump on it.
Please, please, please. Vox has the footage, and from what we know, he hasn't released it to the public yet. I am so expecting him to hang it over Alastor's head and rub it in Alastor's face that no one went looking for him.
We also know that the Hazbin crew didn't see Alastor's fight, and as far as we know, they don't know the extent of his injuries either. When/if Vox does release that footage, I want that to be when they realize just how injured Alastor was.
He literally almost died and all they know is that he disappeared halfway through the battle. I'm so curious about what they think made Alastor to leave. If they knew he was super injured, I can't imagine Charlie would've left him to his own devices, or at the very least, she would've checked in on him from time to time.
So do they think he just upped and bailed on them? Do they think he abandoned the fight? Do they think he just fled like a coward the moment he was injured? As much as I make fun of Alastor for that fight, I don't think he fled out of cowardice.
I mean, he took a MASSIVE hit right across his chest. From the top side of his left shoulder all the way to the right side of his torso--almost to his hip. Look at how big his wound is!
Who wouldn't retreat after taking a hit like that? I'm pretty sure (aside from Sir Pentious getting holy blasted to ash) out of all the Hazbin crew, Alastor suffered the most damage from that fight.
Not only that, but the hit was deep enough that blood was dripping down Adam's guitar.
I'm not being dramatic. Go back and rewatch that scene. Alastor's blood was dripping down it. It wouldn't have gotten on Adam's guitar to that degree if the cut was only surface level.
Alastor wasn't just bleeding from his chest, but he was bleeding from his mouth too. Either slamming into the parapet made him bite his tongue, or he was coughing up blood.
And considering how many sparks and bits of light were coming off his cane (green light in particular, which is the color that highlights his abilities) it has obvious significance to his power.
And it was cut in half.
That is the face of a man going "ohhhh...I'm fucked."
Adam had the upper hand. Alastor was in no condition to keep fighting.
If he stayed, he would have died.
Him retreating was the logical thing to do.
AND NOBODY KNOWS THAT. Nobody but the Vee's.
When/if the Hazbin crew see that footage (or see the extent of the wound themselves) I hope they realize just how close Alastor was to dying and understand that he didn't leave the fight for no real reason. If they give him any flack for retreating or not taking Adam down, I want them to feel bad about it when they see why that was.

#new age au#Geno is very tall (tall Geno supremacy <3) and Reaper usually floats so he's just slightly taller than Geno on any normal day <3#if he unties his robe in the back it drags along the floor at the perfect height to feign being very tall-#ohh I have so many thoughts about them :]#Geno's magic manifests as crystals so he wears some on his outfit (and keeps more in his pockets)#the black and purple ones on his belt are meant to be a little reference to Reaper (and Dust. before meeting him he only has a black one-)#Geno also uses a Cane! he's insanely skilled and powerful but on sone days magic fatigue finally catches up to him and he has to use it#the black half-robe was also the only accessory Reaper could convince Geno to adopt from his kingdom- that and the Sandals haha-#(I like to think Error made Geno's scarf-)#and ofc Reaper...#he's been ruling for so long that he lives in comfort rather than appearance because. i mean. no one is going to doubt him at this point#he leaves his ribcage exposed as a show of his confidence in his rule (direct access to his soul basically-) but also because. well.#he thinks he's eye-candy 🙏#and in his kingdom the crown/sign of royalty are those olive branch circlets#he wears his over his hood usually. Geno recieved one when Reaper officially finished courting him. Dust would eventually get one. though#for him it's more the equivalent of a wedding ring since his loyalty lies with Nightmare still and he has little official ruling power in#Reaper's kingdom.#oh!
