(Narrator POV)
Penelope had gathered everyone in her apartment for her usual get-together, but this time, she seemed particularly excited about something. She wouldn’t stop grinning, and none of the team could get a straight answer about what they were about to listen to. Spencer would rather be at home with you, since days that you're in Virginia are scarce, but you insisted he hang out with his friends. He sat in Penelope’s apartment excited for the night to be over so he could return home to you.
“Come on, Babygirl, spill it,” Derek said, giving her an exasperated look. “What’s this surprise? Is it a podcast? Audiobook? Something crime-related?”
“Oh, it's so much better than that!” Penelope said with a mischievous look in her eye. “It’s music! A new artist I’m obsessed with. Her name is Y/n Y/l/n and she's so amazing you’re going to love her! We’re listening to her new album Short n’ Sweet, she only has a performance out for Bed Chem so we’re going to start off with that!”
The fact that she had chosen your album had made Spencer uncharacteristically nervous, and now that Penelope was about to press play on a song about him, his unease was starting to become visible. Spencer stiffened beside Derek, his fingers nervously twitching at his sides. He knew this album very well. Penelope pressed play, and the first beats of ‘Bed Chem’ by you started filling the room. The sultry intro immediately set the tone, and Spencer swallowed hard. He could feel the heat rise in his cheeks. Of all the songs.
I was in a sheer dress the day that we met
We were both in a rush, we talked for a sec
Your friend hit me up so we could connect
And what are the odds? You sent me a text…
Emily raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Ooh, this sounds fun.” JJ nodded along, smiling. “It’s catchy.” But it wasn’t long before the lyrics kicked in, and as Spencer listened to the opening lyrics he recalled how you two met:
Flashback
(Y/n POV)
“Listen, I know I have all these things to do but I just need time ok? The album needs something, I am not at all ready for it to come out. It's literally all just sad, and there needs to be something else apart from it. Nat, please just a few more months and you can release it no matter what- oh my, i'm so sorry that was totally my fault!” I exclaimed seeing coffee spill all over the coat of the stranger in front of me. My phone fell on the ground  between us landing under the books that had slipped from his hand. I look up and am met with big brown eyes that look like chocolate I can just melt in.
The stranger in front of me gasped slightly, looking down at his now coffee-stained coat. "No, no, it's okay!" he reassured me, his voice soft but flustered as he knelt down to gather his fallen books. I crouched quickly, reaching for my phone that had landed just beneath one of his thick textbooks.
“I’m really sorry,” I said again, glancing up at him once again as our hands brushed while reaching for the same book. His eyes met mine, and for a moment, I was struck by how gentle his expression was, despite the mess I had made.
He smiled softly, his eyes crinkling at the edges in a way that made my heart skip a beat. "Really, it's fine," he said, handing me the phone. "Accidents happen." I let out a small, relieved laugh, grateful he wasn’t upset. “I’ll buy you a new coat or at least pay for the dry cleaning. Seriously, I’m-”
“You don’t have to do that,” he interrupted, standing up and shaking his head. “It’s just coffee. I can clean it up.” I straightened, still feeling embarrassed. “At least let me buy you a coffee. You know, to replace the one I spilled.” I offered, hoping to make up for my clumsiness. He looked at me for a moment, considering it, a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. “Alright. But only if you’ll let me grab a seat and hear why you’re so stressed out.” He motioned towards the phone I had been mid-conversation with when we collided. I blinked, surprised by his easy going nature. "Deal," I said, smiling cheekily up at him “But, uh... I didn’t catch your name.” He extended a hand. "Spencer. Spencer Reid."
I shook his hand, feeling the warmth of his touch as I introduced myself. “Nice to meet you, Spencer. I'm Y/n.”
Flashback Over
And now the next thing I know, I'm like
Manifest that you're oversized
I digress, got me scrollin' like
Out of breath, got me goin' like
Who's the cute boy with the white jacket and the thick accent? Like
Ooh, maybe it's all in my head
But I bet we'd have really good bed chem
Spencer’s stomach dropped as the next set of lyrics filled the room. Penelope was still humming along, enjoying the vibe of the song, completely oblivious to the growing nervousness inside of him.“‘Manifest that you're oversized... Out of breath, got me goin' like...’” Penelope sang along under her breath. She glanced over at Spencer and caught him staring at the floor, his body stiff.
“Oh, this one’s so good! It’s got that flirty energy.” Derek laughed. “It’s catchy, for sure. I wonder who the song is about though?” He grinned, “Bet the dude is feelin’ pretty lucky.” Spencer's breath hitched as the chorus started
How you pick me up, pull me down, turn me 'round, oh, it just makes sense
How you talk so sweet when you're doin' bad things, that's bed (bed) chem (chem)
How you're lookin' at me, yeah, I know what that means and I'm obsessed
Are you free next week? I'd bet we'd have really good
Spencer’s mind was racing as the sound of your voice fills the room. He knew everyone was at ease and him being stiff and sweating was putting a spotlight on him. Emily let out a low chuckle as the suggestive lyrics played. “This girl is something else. I don’t know who she’s singing about, but they must be good.” She raised an eyebrow, half-joking, but Spencer could feel his heart racing.
Come right on me I mean, camaraderie
Said you're not in my timezone, but you wanna be
Where art thou? Why not uponeth me?
See it in my mind, let's fulfil the prophecy Ooh (ah)
He takes in a sharp breath at the racy lyrics. His pulse quickened, and he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. The team continued to listen, oblivious to the internal panic flooding his body. Each line felt more like a spotlight aimed directly at him. Derek let out a low whistle, eyebrows raising at the suggestive turn in the song. “Damn. This song is getting real interesting.” He laughed at Spencer’s uncomfortable state, completely unaware of the significance behind it.
JJ chuckled, swaying her head to the beat. “I love how bold she is! Whoever this song is about… they are very lucky.” Spencer’s hands gripped the edge of his seat, his face heating up. He could feel Emily’s eyes subtly watching him from across the room. He wasn’t sure how much longer he could endure this.
Who's the cute guy with the wide, brown eyes and the big bad, mmm, like?
Ooh (ah) I know it sound a bit redundant
But I bet we'd have really good bed chem
As the song ended Spencer let out a breath he wasn't aware he was holding in, thankful that the song was over. “What's up, pretty boy? Couldn't handle a pretty girl singing bout bad things?” Derek teased him, throwing an arm around his shoulders, his grin wide. As he was about to respond his phone rang, Spencer’s heart nearly jumped out of his chest when his phone buzzed on the table. The screen lit up with your name and contact photo, one of you smiling brightly. The entire team froze, their eyes slowly shifting from the phone to Spencer, then back to the phone.
Derek’s grin widened even more, his teasing now taking on a new level. “Well, well, well… Look who it is.” he said, still keeping his arm draped over Spencer’s shoulder. “Is this the mystery girl you've been so secretive about these past few months?” Penelope's eyes widened in excitement. “Oh my gosh, Spencer! Are you going to answer? You have to answer.” JJ leaned in closer, a sly smile tugging at her lips. “This explains a lot, actually,” she said, glancing from Spencer to the phone, Emily finished her sentence. “Especially that song.” Spencer shook his head trying to hide his blush as he answered the phone.
“Hey Y/n”
‘Hey lover, you havin fun?’
“Yeah, uh, the night took an interesting turn…”
‘Oh? How so?’
“Yeah, uh so Penelope invited us over and turns out it was a listening party… for your album…”
‘Oh- that hilarious oh my’
“Yeah and they just heard Bed Chem and they saw you called me…”
‘Oh my- HAHA thats so funny whattt’
“Yeah, they wanna meet you now.”
‘Well good because I've been wanting to meet them! Can you finally introduce us?’
“Alright well I guess it’s time. You're my person, I want you to meet my family.”
‘Well I can't wait. What about you invite them to my concert next weekend in DC and we can go to dinner afterwards?’
“Sounds perfect, like you, I'll see you at home I love you.”
‘Love you too. See ya lover’
Spencer returned to the group after hanging up, slipping his phone into his pocket. He tried to keep his expression neutral, but the warmth from your call still lingered on his face. As he sat down, the team was waiting for him, grins plastered across their faces, eyes twinkling with mischief. Derek was the first to break the silence, leaning in with a smirk. “So, pretty boy, you and Y/n Y/l/n, huh? Sounds like she’s got you all wrapped up in that album.”
Spencer shifted uncomfortably, glancing at the others, who were clearly holding back their laughter. “I didn’t know we were having a listening party,” he mumbled, trying to divert the attention. “Didn’t know? Or didn’t plan on being exposed?” Emily teased, raising an eyebrow. Penelope gasped dramatically, clutching her heart. “I mean, Spencer Reid as a muse for a song about that? Honestly, I’m living for this.” Spencer’s face flushed deep red. “It’s not exactly like that-”
“Oh, come on, Spence!” JJ finally chimed in, laughing. “Even you have to admit it’s a little funny.” Spencer looked down at his hands, a small, shy smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “Okay... maybe it’s a little funny.” The team erupted into laughter, the tension in the air easing as they continued to tease him, but in a much lighter, more affectionate way. “You really had us going there, man,” Derek chuckled, shaking his head. “Didn’t expect you two.”
Spencer sighed, still smiling despite the embarrassment. “I didn’t expect it either... but, you know, I’m really lucky to have her.”
“And clearly, she’s lucky to have you, too,” Emily added, her teasing softening into something more sincere. “You two make a great pair.” Spencer looked up at her, grateful for her words. “Thanks, Emily.”
“She uh, invited all of you to her concert next week and dinner afterwards so you guys can finally meet.” A mix of excitement and nervousness in his voice. “She's been asking for a while but I've been nervous but she's really important to me. I really love her, you guys, and youre my family. It's time for you guys to meet.” He nodded sincerely.
Penelope was the first to speak, “Oh my god, yes please I wasn’t able to get tickets that amazing! And I cannot wait to meet her!” Her voice was laced with excitement. JJ smiled brightly, nudging Spencer’s shoulder playfully. “Look at you! Having a secret girlfriend. I love it. I’m so happy for you, Spencer!” Emily beamed, her gaze softening. “You two sound like a perfect match. I can’t wait to meet her. It’s about time you brought someone special around.” Derek raised an eyebrow, a teasing grin forming on his lips. “So, what are you saying, Reid? Are you going to introduce us to your girlfriend or what? Does she have any friends for me?” Spencer rolled his eyes but couldn’t help but smile. “I am not setting you up, but I know you’ll love her. She’s the sweetest person ever. Just be nice, okay?”
“I can’t make any promises,” Derek joked, chuckling. “Seriously, though,” Emily said, her tone turning more sincere. “We’re really happy for you, Spence. It’s great to see you so happy.” He nodded, his heart swelling with affection for you and gratitude for his friends. “Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it.”
The conversation continued, filled with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming concert. As the banter resumed, Spencer couldn’t shake the feeling of joy bubbling within him. He knew that sharing this part of his life with his team was important, and he couldn’t wait for you to meet the people who meant so much to him. Later that evening, as he headed home, he found himself smiling at the thought of seeing you. He couldn't wait to show you how much he cared about you and how much he wanted you to be a part of his world.

No more ink - Spencer Reid x reader
Summary: reader goes undercover for a mission and the team discovers all her tattoos. Tattoos which might be the reason her life ends. sprinkle of spencer x reader. Warning: gore, blood, SA kind of (if you blink you'll miss it), reader is undercover, reader becomes a stripper for like 2 secs.
Tumblr media
Staring at the images of several murdered women, all sporting countless tattoos on their bodies, a chill is sent down your spine. What is so fetishising about tattoos? And more importantly, why were all these women so brutally killed after the assault? The uncomfortable silence in the station's big conference room is broken by JJ, who pulls out her phone, stating "Well I'm going to call someone so we can get the tattoos drawn on, Y/N are you sure you're comfortable doing this?" You nodded, adding "Yeah, but there's no need to call anyone."
Your comment had the entire team and police officers in the room looking your way, some confused, many surprised. You glance up at Spencer's reaction, hoping he didn't look disgusted at your confession. Did he dislike women with tattoos? His put together appearance always led you to believing so. "I mean, it's part of the reason I volunteered, I fit the profile the most." And it was true. Many of the women all had the same coloured and textured hair, body type, height and were all littered with tattoos. "How else are we going to get in?" You insisted, all well aware of the gang's strict policy when allowing people into the club. There would be no chance any of your male counterparts would be let in, because only women had ever been targeted by them, and looking between you and the other two women on the team, there was a clear difference between who hit the profile.
"Y/N, I've never seen you with tattoos." Things Morgan out loud, making sure he understood clearly what you meant by fitting the profile best. "People take me more seriously, professionally speaking, when they're hidden." You reply, shrugging your shoulders, which only puts an emphasis on the long sleeved top you're wearing. "Okay wait, just so we're clear here, you mean like you're heavily tatted? Not just one cute little smiley face on your ankle type of tatted?" You chuckle at Emily's small outburst, nodding along with her words. "You know what, why don't I just show you."
You end up revealing yourself to the team a mere hours later, tugging the mini black dress down your body, barely hiding your backside from any onlookers. You step out of the bathroom, basic black heels clicking loudly on the floor, attracting the attention of the team, packing up their things to head down to the van, fully equipped to keep track of you while you're inside. "Okay, I'm ready to go." There's a moment of silence in which the team fully takes in your appearance, or rather your tattoos.
A dark snake slithers up your ankle, and a mysterious year is written in bold above your knee, thigh illustrated with a mysterious design that resembles both stars and a vintage chandelier at once. Your second leg sports several patchwork pieces - an intricate compass and an angel - with two vine leaves curling around your knee, leading up to your thigh where you show off tattoos of a hummingbird and the sun. With your hair pushed back, they have a clear view of the design on your collarbone, dipping slightly into the gap between your breasts, leaving the rest to imagination. Your right arm is covered in a large abstract piece, and when you finally turn around, leaving due to the silence from your teammates, you allow them a perfect view of the wave tattoo on the back of your left arm, looping around your bicep, and a dagger tattoo on the back of your forearm.
Footsteps scurry after you, a soft hand wrapping around your wrist as you begin to leave the police station, pulling you into an empty hallway. Spencer tugs you to face him, eyes filled with worry. "Y/n, are you sure about this?" He whispers, his breath hitting your face with every word he speaks. "I'll be okay Spence." You reassure him, though you're sure he's already profiled you and can sense your nervousness.
In the van, Hotch reminds you of the protocol, securing the microphone into your dress and the clasping the necklace with a hidden camera around your neck, so that he and Garcia can monitor you from outside. They've given you a code word, and secured a silver bracelet around your wrist with a hidden alarm in the gem. Spencer squeezes your hand before you walk out of the van, a safe distance away from the cameras and insists one last time that you can back out any time you want.
You sneak into the hidden alleyway where the club is located, gulping slightly when you spot the bouncer before plastering a fake smile on your face. Everything will be okay, you repeat in your head, calming slightly when the bouncer steps aside for you to walk into a dark room. The door shuts behind you and your breathing quickens slightly, only to realise that the room isn't a room at all, because it's moving and is just an elevator instead. The doors open from behind you, welcoming you into a dark and mysterious, wide room. Red lights are on, and you can spot a stage with two poles, two exotic dancers performing a routine in exact synchrony.
Standing still, you have no idea where to start when a waiter, dressed in a black suit with his hair slicked back appears in front of you. "Champagne?" You nod, taking a glass from the tray not to look suspicious, but don't take a sip from it either. You make your way deeper into the room, swaying your body to the music, scanning the people in the club. For each man, there's at least two women by his side, giggling and brushing up against their arms, pressing kisses where skin is showing. Each woman fits the profile of those who'd been found dead, heavily tatted up, sporting the same features. Women lead men through red curtains, disappearing into different rooms, strutting proudly.
As far as the sex went, it all seemed consensual, meaning they couldn't have been unconscious or drugged before it happened, which completely changed your profile. "What's a sweet girl doing in a place like this all by herself?" You spun around, to face an older man, looking like he was in his late 40's. He sported a grey beard, and had a full head of luscious hair. He wore a crisp black button up with matching black trousers, and you could spot tattoos crawling up his neck and down his hands. "Looking for a man like you." You replied with a smirk, cocking your head to the side. He slid his free hand into yours, leading you into a round booth, where you had a clear view of the rest of the club.
"Tell me a little bit about yourself." You said before he could say anything, pressing your body up against his, and luckily for you, that's what he did. In the meanwhile, you observed the movement in the room, noticing waiters carrying garbage bags or cleaning empty tables. Weird. All the waiters seemed exceptionally muscular, but in a place like this, you would have assumed the waiters would be half naked and, well, women. "You alright, sweetheart?" The man asks, and you nod, smiling up at him sweetly. "I just need to use the bathroom. Do you think you could point me in that direction?" You ask, squeezing your thighs, where his big hand rests.
As soon as he gives you a direction, you hop up, following the first words he's told you 'Walk straight, take a left,' Once you've taken the left, finally out of the man's sight, you begin exploring the halls, becoming gradually more empty the deeper you walk into the club. For every 'private' room, which is only separated from the rest of the club by a curtain, there's a waiter (or rather security guard) standing at the entrance, protecting anyone from entering, or exiting. When you near the end of the hallway, you internally cringe. You had no where to go and a guard protecting the next room to the left. Exhaling, you stopped in front of the guard, looking up at him. "You the dancer?" He asks, and aimlessly, you nod.
You swallow when he steps to the side, letting you into the room. "Cover-up goes in the basket on your left." He instructs, before stepping back out of the room. You take a moment to take in the client, sitting on a red couch with his legs spread, shirt buttoned down all the way to his trousers. What have you done? You turn around, sighing, pulling your black dress over your body, just in time for music to start playing. You spin around, walking over the the man seductively, swaying your hips to the beat of the music until you stop in front of him, placing both hands on his chest. "Oh you're way better than the girl I had last time" The man mutters, groaning as he man spreads even more.
You have a clear view of the tent in his pants but blink a few times, trying to forget its image. Spinning to the music again, you face the wall, eyes glued on where you can see the guard's shoes in front of the curtain as you keep moving to the music. The man's hands settle on your ass, and you let him grope you, shutting your eyes in discomfort, cringing before he turns you to face him. His hands grip your hips instead, pulling you onto him and you follow, straddling his hips while swaying your body. You continue moving until the music dies down, slowing your movements alongside the decreasing volume.
The man puts his hands up, almost defensively, just in time for the guard to come into the room. He doesn't stop walking towards you until he stands right in front of you, and he grabs your arm, leading you to a different door than the one you came through. You try brushing him off you, chest constricting as anxiety builds up in you. "Can I at least have my dress back?" You ask, scoffing as he drags you into an empty room. "Sure, but I'm sure how much it'll do for you now." Instantly, you're pressing down on the gem on your bracelet, heart beginning to race as you look around the small room.
The cracks in the floorboards are stained a red-ish brown, and a single cuff is attached to a wall, where the man is trying to drag you. You recover quickly from you panicky moment, aggressively shoving him off you and bringing a leg up to push him backwards. He staggers back, but recovers quickly, bringing a knife out of his pocket and immediately charging at you. Ducking under his arm, you grab his wrist, trying to wrestle the dagger out of his hand. He stumbles, falling onto the floor, his grip loosening on the knife, which you tug back so hard it bounces back in your direction, cutting a gash through your arm. Just as you take a step forward, getting him whilst he's still down, the door slams open.
"NOBODY MOVE!" Just as you throw your hands up into the air, dropping the dagger onto the floor, a coat is wrapped around your shoulders and you're being pulled into a hug. You freeze for a moment until you smell the familiar essence of dark coffee and vanilla, melting into Spencer's arms as he whispers muffled 'It's okay's soothingly into your hair. Tears unwillingly build up in your eyes and you bring your hands up to grip the bits of Spencer's shirt that stick out from underneath his bulletproof vest.
Slowly, the coat dampens from where you cut yourself, and Spencer quickly realises, removing his arms from around you. "We need to get you to an ambulance." But even as Spencer leads you back outside, still whispering comforting words, that you'll be okay, you know it's not. Because in that moment you silently vow to yourself that you'll never get another tattoo inked into your skin ever again.

Red & Blue | Chapter 2
Author’s note: First of all: thank you. Thank for reading that first chapter and for all the reblogs, likes and comments. Like, wow. I wasn't expecting it. At all. Especially because when I first shared this story with a friend to have a second opinion, I thought it was a weak first chapter 😅 So, again, thank you very much, and like I said yesterday on the new chapter of Declan's story, welcome to all the new people who started following me! 💜
There are things on this chapter similar to the ones we've currently seeing with both the men and women's teams at St. George's Park, but it is just a coincidence, I wrote this weeks ago. Did I manifest it? Maybe 👀😂 Anyway, thanks for reading, and hope you like it! 💜

“Hello there” Emily says, opening the door of my car.
“Hello” I reply, getting out and giving her a hug.
“It’s so nice to have you back. We missed you last time.”
“I missed you too. And hello everyone” I say to Eddie, the photographer, and the camera men who are filming the arrivals.
“Oh, someone else is here” Emily says, moving towards the car that just arrived behind mine. “One sec.”
“No problem” I say, focusing on getting all my things from the car and not forgetting anything.
“Mason!” I hear Emily say behind me.
“Fuck” I whisper, the bag with my boots falling from my hands as the driver gives it to me.
“It’s alright, miss” he says, helping me pick them up.
“Do you need any help?” Emily asks behind us.
“We are fine. Just clumsy” I reply with a nervous laugh. “Thank you very much, sir” I say to the driver, moving towards the door. But before I can ignore Mason, he is standing next to me.
“Hi” he smiles. “It’s nice to finally meet you in person.”
“Yeah” I mutter, trying to smile and not look like an idiot.
“Ok, passports” Emily says when we are inside the building. “And you don’t know how things work now, do you?” she asks me.
“Leah has told me a bit about it.”
“Oh, good. You’ll see that nothing much has changed. And...” she says, looking out the door “someone else just arrived, I better go. Mason, why don’t you show her around?”
“Sure. I’ll be her tour guide” he says to Emily before she leaves.
“You don’t have to do it. You probably want to meet the others.”
“It’s fine, don’t worry. I’ll have plenty of time to see them during these days” he smiles again. Damn it, he’s so handsome when he smiles. “Shall we?” he asks, gesturing towards the corridor in front of us.
“Wait, before you leave” Eddie says behind us. “Can I get a photo of you two together? You are two fan favorites.”
“For the fans then” Mason laughs while grabbing me by the waist, his touch making me feel things despite the layers of clothing.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Did you have the basketball court last time you were here?” Mason asks when we walk pass it.
“No, we didn’t.”
“Do you play?”
“I actually do, yes.”
“Then we must have a little game when we all are free. Let’s see if your hands are as talented as your feet” he says with a smirk.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“I can’t believe Eddie made you pose together” Leah says, laying on my bed while checking all the photos from today, picking one to post on her Instagram. “I’m sure he also ships you.”
“Definitely” I say, rolling my eyes.
“I wonder what his fans will say when they see it. Will they go wild? Will they ship you? Will they hate you?”
“I guess we’ll find out soon. He just posted it” I say, showing Leah my phone.
“Let the games begin!” she laughs.
“Speaking of games” I say, putting my phone down and not wanting to look at it until tomorrow. “He asked me to play basketball with him later when we are free. Will you join us? I’m sure Declan will be there too.”
“Bffs vs. bffs? I’m in” she says with a mischievous smile.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Where did you learn to play like that?” Declan asks, lying on the floor.
“My mum used to play when she was younger and she taught me” I say, shooting another basket.
“And it goes in clean. Again. I can’t believe it” Mason laughs next to me.
“Annoying, isn’t it?” Leah says, sitting next to Declan.
“Very” he replies, still lying on the floor. “Let’s try again tomorrow. I’m not leaving St. George’s without winning against you at least once.”
“Good luck with that” I say, shooting again, the ball easily going in.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Wow, someone had a bad day yesterday” I say the next day, finally checking my notifications.
“Mason fan?”
“That’s what she says. Stay away from him, you filthy gunner bitch. Go suck Arteta’s ****. And yes, whoever this was, censored that last word.”
“No way” Leah laughs. “But why him? He isn’t your coach or anything.”
“Who knows. Maybe he is the only one from Arsenal this person knew” I shrug. “But whoever this is, just got blocked.”
“Good. Is anyone shipping you with Mason?”
“You are so funny” I say, throwing a pillow to her face as someone knocks on the door.
“I’ll answer” Leah says, throwing the pillow back at me.
“Hello girls” says Hannah, our team’s social media manager. “I’m afraid there’s been a change of plans and you won’t be having a free morning. There is some content that we didn’t have time to finish yesterday and that must be shot today. I’ll meet you downstairs in 5 minutes.”
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“Leah, you’ll be doing a TikTok challenge with some others over there” Hannah says, pointing to a table set at the other side of the pitch. “And you will be filming a game for YouTube with Mason.”
“With Mason?” Leah and I say at the same time, she definitely more excited than me.
“Is there any problem with it?” Hannah asks, raising an eyebrow.
“Not at all” Leah says with a big smile.
“What’s the game about?” I ask Hannah as I follow her to where Mason is already waiting.
“Remember the one Chilly and Declan did, the one about the food?”
“How could I. That winner was an insult to everyone who loves food” I laugh. And it isn’t as if I’ve watched it way too many times because Ben looked stupidly handsome. Declan too, not gonna lie.
“This one is about Marvel characters, trying to pick the best super hero” Hannah explains.
“That sounds fun.”
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“I can’t believe Wanda didn’t make it to the final” I say to Mason once we’ve finished the game. “She definitely was the most powerful one! And you chose Thor!”
“Because he is a God!”
“Wanda was able to destroy one of the infinity stones!”
“And then she went nuts. I wouldn’t put my life in her hands.”
“Ok, that’s rude. She was grieving”.
“Sorry” he shrugs. “But at least we agree on the winner.”
“Kind of” I say. “I still think it’s a tie between Spiderman and Captain America.”
“But if it was the end of the world, what could Captain America do for you? Spiderman could fly you away, take you somewhere safe. And he is as strong as Steve.”
“I know, I know. But only if there are trees or buildings around. In the desert they both would be equal.”
“Fine” Mason says, rolling his eyes. “You are a stubborn one, aren’t you?”
“She’s very stubborn” Aaron says, showing up out of nowhere.
“Where did you come from?” I say. “You scared me!”
“I was filming over there. If you didn’t see me, it was because you were too busy with Mason” he smiles. I give him my most murderous look in return, but his smile just goes wider.
“Anyway, I better go find Leah” I say, looking for an excuse to escape from them.
“Are we still playing basketball later today?” Mason asks as I leave.
“Yeah, sure” I say.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
When Leah and I go downstairs, Mason and Declan are already waiting. Them, and Aaron and Ben.
“What are you two doing here?” I ask them.
“We wanted to be part of the fun” Aaron says.
“Meaning that he wanted to see Mase and I being destroyed by you” Declan says.
“That too” Aaron replies with one of his smiles.
“So you are not playing?” Leah asks. “Cowards.”
“We play together all the time. Let them be the ones to suffer” Ben says, not lifting his eyes from his phone.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
“C’mon Mase, you can do it!” Reece says, cheering for his teammate. A little crowd has formed around us, most of them cheering for Leah and I and making fun of Mason and Declan. Eddie is taking photos while someone else is filming, already planning to upload this to YouTube.
“That was so bad, Declan!” Coady yells, he and Mings laughing like crazy.
“If this one goes in, we win” I say, looking at Mason.
“First you’ll have to get pass me” he smirks, already in position to defend.
“There she goes!” Aaron yells as I attack.
“And it goes in!” Leah screams behind me. Everyone around us starts cheering, while Declan dramatically falls to the floor, Mason standing with his arms on his hips.
“Sorry” I say, giving him my best smile. He just shakes his head while licking his lips, and I find myself staring until someone comes to congratulate me and bring me back to reality.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
The rest of the days with the national team go by quickly. It’s mostly training, playing the friendly games and enjoying our free time. Turns out that mixing both teams has been a great idea.
“My tagged photos on Instagram are all Mason” I say to Leah on the car back home.
“He isn’t that bad, is he?”
“He isn’t, he is really nice. You and Aaron were right about that. But look, it’s like I am on his account, not mine” I say, showing her my phone.
“That happens when you spend all your free time with him and Eddie is around” she says with a big smile.
“We are just friends” I say, rolling my eyes.
“For now.”

A Genius’ Baby
(A/N): This is based on this post and requested by an anon. It is also leaned on the episode, where JJ brings Henry in for the first time. I got the general idea from an episode of Bones (hmu if you know which one)
Summary: How will Spencer’s daughter’s first meeting with the team exactly go down?
Wordcount: 1.3k
✨Masterlist✨ _________________________________
Spencer never dreamed of taking time off of work voluntarily. He loves doing what he does for a living. It’s not only something he is good at, it’s also something that makes him proud, knowing how many lives the team safed together.
But one thing led to another and now he is a single father of a newborn baby girl. His first week with his little (Y/N) was, to put it mildly, chaotic. Her mother decided early on in the pregnancy that she doesn’t want to be a part of her child’s life. Spencer is fine with it, as long as he is able to be there for her.
“What do you think, Sweetie, is a visit at Daddy’s work going to kill the whole office, because you are way too adorable?” He asks her as he pushes her in her stroller through the streets. A cute gurgle comes from inside the stroller as an answer. “Yes, I think so, too.”
It’s their first time to visit the BAU, since the little one’s birth. (Y/N) is a month old now and the little family slowly finds a schedule to live by. They hadn’t had the time to take the metro and the following walk to Quantico, but Morgan took the liberty to come to Spencer’s apartment and help the freshly baked father a few times.
Father. It still has a weird ring to him, but it also makes Spencer swell with pride being able to call himself a word like that. He promised to (Y/N) that he will live up to it. That he never leaves her, unlike his own father did. It doesn’t matter how difficult things may get, Spencer is going to be there for his daughter.
But enough love smack for now. It’s time for Reid to show off his newborn cutiepie.
They get through security check rather easily, except for the guards, who swoon over small (Y/N). Spencer has to slap away several hands and he doesn’t want to imagine how many germs are all over them.
“Aaaaand here we are. This is where Daddy will go in a few months. I’ll make sure you’ll visit me as often as possible.” Then Spencer looks around only to see a vacant bullpen. “This is an example for your father not being as smart as everybody thinks. I forgot to ask if the team is on a case.” He facepalms himself, but continues to push the stroller.
A few minutes of walking later he knocks on Penelope’s door. “Wait a sec, the tech goddess is on her way, mysterious stranger.” As she opens the door, the blonde lets out a loud gasp.
“Is this- Oh my god- Is this- Are you.” Yes, Penelope Garcia is broken even before she gets to see the newest addition to the BAU kids. Spencer smiles while taking his girl out of the basket and holds her in his arms.
“Child, meet Penelope Garcia, one of your many Aunties.” The techie can’t hold in another gasp. “Oh my god, pretty boy. She is an overload of cuteness. I- I can’t! I think I got diabetes just by looking at her.”
Some time later the doors to the elevator open, allowing the team to step out. They all look exhausted. That case didn’t go as planned, having lost more lives than necessary. As they make their way over to the bullpen a happy Technical Analyst approaches them with a pep in her step.
“There is a surprise for you in the conference room that definitely will cheer you all up. Pinky promise.” She doesn’t need to say more, because a pinky promise from Garcia is a safe ride.
And a surprise it is as they spot their fellow genius rocking a bundle of white blankets.
Hotch is the first one to speak. “I thought I told you to not come to the office. I said-” “That I have a family to think of now. I know Hotch, but I wanted to show my child where she will spend a great amount of time of her childhood and I wanted you to meet her.”
“Come on Spence, tell us her name”, JJ complains. Since he announced that he is going to be a father, he made a game out of them guessing her name.
“(Y/N), meet my team, also known as our family. Team, meet (Y/N) Diana Reid. Not only is she named after her Grandma, but also after her butts and doors kicking godfather, since it’s also the feminine form of Derek, who is going to be the best godfather in history on a side note.”
In this moment everyone has to push back tears, also Morgan, even though he knows the revelation already. Emily softly pushes her way to the front.
“Now, am I allowed to hold my goddaughter? I know as soon as Morgan gets his cool together he isn’t going to let me get my own time with her”, the back haired pouts. Spencer looks at her a little unsure.
“Uhm, can you uh sanitize your hands please?” He nods his head towards the diaper back on the round table. A little tube filled with hand sanitizer dangles from it. Without any complaints she compiles to the request, ready to do anything his teammate wants from her only to be able to touch the newborn.
“You do know that exposing your child to as many germs as possible in her early childhood makes her resistant to any allergies against them in her following development, right?” Rossi asks, an amused smile gracing his face.
Spencer blushes a bit while handing his daughter over to Prentiss, saying “be aware of her head, the neck is not strong enough to keep it up on its own yet” to her as if she never held a baby before. “Hey, Little One. I’m your Auntie Em”, she whispers.
“Uh, I know that, but I kind of decided that I don’t care about this statistic. Whoever wants to touch (Y/N) has to wash their hands and sanitize them. I can sleep better knowing that I even protect her against the smallest of things”, he sheepishly scratches his neck, seemingly not knowing what to do with them now.
“Well”, Derek says, “This is a first. Spencer Reid, the man of numbers, giving not a shi-” He cuts himself off seeing the warning glares from his team mates. “A shoot? Not giving a shoot about numbers?” Morgan tries to correct his statement.
“If you want to keep that mouth around my child, I have to rethink my decisions”, Spencer murmurs, watching Emily stroking (Y/N)’s soft check endearingly. Suddenly she begins to whine. The older woman looks up at the father, who glances at his watch.
“It’s time for her bottle. Let me go heat it u-” “I’ll do it”, Hotch offers. His face is less stern than usual, which is noticed by everyone. “Uhm, thank you. You hav-” “I don’t want to be rude, but I know how to heat up a bottle, Reid. I got a child on my own.” The Unit Chief says this with a smile and takes the little plastic bottle out of the genius’ hand to go to the little kitchen the office offers.
After this little visit many follow in the next few months Spencer is off duty and they still remain in some frequency as he comes back. Because nobody can survive long without as much as a glance of their favorite little genius.

When Spencer had gone all the way from Virginia to Arizona for a case that had yet to upset the rest of his team, he didn't actually expect another person to upset him as much as the authors of the crime themselves.
The other person was known as the genius of the team, another "version" of him, except that he was in Arizona, with a slightly different rank.
He didn't think badly of him at first, he appreciated the fact of having another person similar to him, which meant that he didn't have to explain the terms he'd use to someone else, he could talk without complications.
He’d usually have to pause in his lecture to explain some stuff, but he didn’t feel like he’d need to do it with him.
"Arizona's genius, y/n y/l/n. It's nice to meet you all. I heard there's another genius here. As much as I'd like to have a nice chat, killers are on the loose, so, eventually, at the end of the case."
The way he had talked was completely fascinating to him, even if he wanted to, he couldn't draw his eyes off him as he talked.
The first words had completely convinced them, and he really felt like he could have a correct interaction with him.
It wasn't everyday that he'd had the occasion to meet another mind similar to his.
This happened to be quite relieving considering the complicity of the case, and it would be much faster for everything to be answered as they'll be two.
"No, he's not that type of guy! Look at what he did, especially at the third victim!" He yelled.
"We have all reasons to think he could be like that, I didn't say it definitely is, but it could be." Spencer argued, pissed off by his words.
"The M.O you just described doesn't really fit, something is missing, and none of what you said makes it right."
"It's the closest thing we have, it's that or we completely start from scratch, as if it's "wrong" to you."
"I don't think it's only to me, and it's better to try to start again than continue with what we have and possibly launch into a wall because that wasn't right. Okay, that's going to take time, but might as well get it right."
"When I expected for the case to go smoothly, I didn't come all the way for this, since when are you so annoying?"
"Oh, now I'm annoying? I'm just doing my job, and you're the one acting offended. So," He paused, as he gathered papers before walking away. "If you excuse me, I have to catch the ones doing this, instead of wasting time. Come back to me when you're in a better mood to work correctly." Y/N said, as another coworker of his approached Spencer not long after he had left.
"Um...I doubt that'll make the situation better, but he acts like that, sometimes. It may seem that he's not going to work, but don't worry, it's mainly so he can...get himself back in the right head space." He explained. "Don't try...get pissed off at each other too often, none of our unit chiefs will be happy with that."
"He could have been less...like that."
"It's just y/l/n being himself, 'can't do much about it. Anyway, let's get back to work, and try to get better you two, at least till we wrap the case."
"Trouble's around." Derek chirped to JJ.
"This case is going to be...fun. Let's hope we at least get to have a distraction."
"Oh, don't worry JJ, we'll have one. They're not done fighting. Definitely not."
"Do you think they're gonna make up and become friends, or yell at each other until the end?" Emily asked.
"A mix of the two. They'll kinda hate each other, but not enough to resist having a conversation between geniuses." Garcia answered.
"True. It's not every day that the both of them get to talk with someone that understands their stuff." Derek pointed out.
"Let's hope that we'll get to see some animation in between work."
*
*
"Are you here to yell again or try to have a calm conversation?" Y/N asked, as soon as Spencer entered.
"I don't get why you're directly attacking before I get to say anything." Spencer protested.
"Just in case."
"Okay, do you have something against me or what? Because I can't work if you keep being angry all of the time."
"I'm not angry." He answered.
"Then I'm a clown if I can't even read your face. It's written on your forehead that you are, you're literally an open book." Spencer closed the door, having a slight feeling that the conversation would possibly get louder.
"I thought you weren't supposed to profile the people you work with, no? I'm not your coworker, but we're working on this case together, so don't profile me unless I ask, which will never happen."
"I don't get you."
"What is there even to understand? You're the one I don't get."
"It's you that I can't figure out. I just can't stand you right now."
"Unfortunately, I'm afraid you'll have to calm your nerves till we finish that case. Because I'm not wasting twenty minutes explaining what is there to "understand" about me." He spit back, glancing at Spencer.
"I can't keep talking with you if you act like that."
"I'm not a cute puppy in case you haven't figured that out. I'm not going to be nice just for you, especially when you point out that I'm not how you like to be talked."
"I didn't specify anything."
"Didn't you, doctor?" He focused on the last word, raising his eyebrows.
"Damn it." Spencer walked up to him in a snap, glancing at him for a split second before suddenly taking in his face in his hands as he roughly kissed him.
Not even one of them expected that it'd just take a single argument to let the pressure out.
They were just kissing each other, like that. Spencer was the one who started it, not even wondering if he'd return it or walk away, but turns out that y/n had been the one to take the lead after that, as he gripped his hair, slamming him against the wall.
Nothing really mattered in that moment, they didn't even think about the others possibly walking in, all they both needed to do was to let out of all the frustration contained since this morning.
It wasn't quite only anger, but also because they had both wanted each other, in their own way.
As much as Y/N was afraid to admit it, he did imagine it, slamming him against the wall, even if he wouldn't be strong or even courageous enough to do that.
Spencer did imagine gripping his jaw, especially after he walked out in fury, he was so upset about him that all he wanted was to kiss him to let him know what he felt.
He didn't want to admit it, but he hated it whenever someone raised his voice at him, he needed to do that to calm himself, in some way.
If they weren't in some police station, their shirts would have already been on the floor, the layers of clothes between them were more than infuriating as they tugged at the other's shirt.
And even when they stopped for a moment to breathe again, it didn't take much for their lips to link again after a short glance.
Spencer quickly flipped y/n the other way so he'd be the one against the wall, and to his surprise, his face quickly gained another tint.
He caged him in with one arm against the wall, gripping his chin with the other, as y/n tugged at his hair again, not knowing where else to put them.
Things went fast so quickly, they didn't even think about what they'd do, they just went with the flow.
What they forgot to think and pay attention about, was that they weren't alone in the place.
Literally all of the people working at the station were there, and could possibly start to look for them.
They really didn't care about it, none of them broke the kiss to point it out, it was just four walls, them, and their mixed feelings.
"I still can't stand you." Spencer said in between when they briefly broke the kiss.
"Me neither." He blurted out.
As one of them probably guessed at some point, their inattention cost them when they didn't even hear the lock of the door over their breaths.
"Hey, we found…" JJ walked in, stopping in the middle of the sentence.
The door kept itself open, as the noise of the outside drew in, causing them to break away as both of their eyes were wide open.
Spencer's hair was a mess, strands going everywhere, which would need to be at least fixed with his hand for him to be presentable.
Only the back of y/n's hair was messed up as he was against the wall most of the time.
Both of their shirts had a few buttons out, although, y/n's was the closest to being on the floor if someone hadn't come.
By the time they had begun slowly walking away from the other, she had definitely just seen them making out.
"...something." She ended the sentence, not quite knowing what to say after witnessing the event.
"Oh, uh...we'll uh...meet you in just a sec." Spencer said.
"Right. Okay." JJ responded, closing the door in a hurry.
"I hate to say this to you, but I think we're screwed." Y/N pointed out once she was gone.
"They'll definitely be able to tell from the look on her face and ours when we'll get out."
"Yeah, we should have…done it elsewhere."
"It's a bit late for that."
"You're the one who started, you should have at least chosen another place genius."
"I have to admit it but, true."
"They'll definitely figure out you're the one who started, you basically entered after me."
"I hate you."
"No, you don't. You just don't like me." He corrected Spencer, as he opened the door to walk out, walking out of the room.
It didn't take much for some of their coworkers's eyes to lay on them as they entered their vision.
Spencer discreetly approached y/n after Hotch began talking, making sure the attention was elsewhere.
"I'm going to show you how much I 'just don't like you' when we're out of here, you're gonna see."
"Deal."

“Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same” - Emily Brontë
Derek Morgan x Reader
Warnings: fem!reader, Friends to lovers, slow burn (like really slow),mentions of death, injuries, and abusive relationships, cm level of violence, kissing.
Category: Fluff with some angst
Word Count: 5k
Author’s Note: just felt like writing something for Derek :) It’s in order of your relationship with Derek, it’s kinda similar to lovestory that I wrote for Luke. Special thank you to @genevievedarcygrangerwriting and @iconicc for their help with this :)
*For full dramatic effect, play Wonder by Shawn Mendes while reading*
-----
This was a different type of love
Much different than what he had with Penelope or Spencer or anyone else. This was more than a surface attraction, this was a connection on a much deeper level, something you couldn’t explain but you knew you needed. You had always felt like a piece of you was missing until you met him.
April 16th, 2007
It was your first day at the BAU.
To say you were nervous was an understatement, you were terrified. You had only met Aaron Hotchner, your unit chief during your interview. You had yet to meet the rest of the team.
You were greeted by a tiny blonde woman by the elevator, who introduced herself as Jennifer. She walked you to the briefing room, she explained to you that you had a case and that someone would take you home to get some clothes quickly. Aaron introduced you to the team very quickly, first was David Rossi, who had very father like qualities,
Jennifer Jareau, whom you had met by the elevator and was their media liaison
Emily Prentiss, who radiated badass energy,
Dr. Spencer Reid, who seemed very baby like but was incredibly smart,
Penelope Garcia, their technical analyst and who didn't hesitate to welcome you onto the team,
Finally, Derek Morgan, the embodiment of the perfect man.
Aaron told Derek to take you home to get your stuff and to meet them at the jet. On the drive to your place, Derek made small talk, asking you about your previous jobs, why you decided to join the bureau.
“It was a spur of the moment thing actually, I came across the application and figured why not? Because what’s the worst that happens y’know?” you chuckled, Derek flashing you a smile before pulling into your driveway.
“You live here by yourself ? Aren’t you only 26?” he looked at you and then back at your house. That was a typical reaction, it was a huge house with a huge property attached to it, it was on the outskirts of the city. “It’s a family house, it was passed down to me after my parents’ passed” you told him and changed the topic before he could ask questions about your parents. “Would you like to come in while I get my stuff? I might be a few minutes. The least I could do is offer you something to drink while you wait?” He nodded, getting out while you did.
You stepped and headed towards the stairs, “help yourself to anything in the kitchen, it’s straight down the hall” you smiled at him.
“Okay” he smiled, watching you make your way up the stairs.
December 24th, 2010
The white lights burned your eyes as you opened them, squinting to slowly readjust your eyes to the brightness. You looked around, trying to remember what happened.
The last thing you remember was Spencer and Derek over you. Spencer’s hand on your stomach and Derek holding your hand while shouting for a medic. Something about holding on were the last words you heard before waking up in the hospital.
Derek was curled up on the chair in your room. He looked out of place on the chair, it was too tiny for him. “Der..” you said, barely above a whisper. Your throat was dry and you were too tired to talk but you needed to know what happened. There was an empty water bottle beside your bed, you stretched your arm out and pushed the bottle off of the table. It hit the floor, the noise startled Derek and he sat up in his chair.
He took a look around to see you looking at him, “Hey mama, how are you feeling ?” he pulled the chair closer to your bed, sitting himself back down. His hand rested on yours, his thumb rubbing over the top of your hand.
“What happened?” you asked, leaning back onto the pillow. He let out a sigh before speaking. “Spencer, you and I went to the house, the unsub’s house. Pretty boy and I went through the front and you headed to the back to check the yard. We were upstairs when we heard the gunshot, we ran out to see you on the floor. There was a bullet in your side and the unsub was headed towards the front of the house” Derek looked up at you, unsure if he should continue.
“Did you get him?” you asked, he nodded. “Hotch and the team had just arrived when we heard the shot. Hotch caught him in the front” you let out a sigh. “I ran to the back, Spencer was trying to stop the bleeding but it wasn’t stopping” his voice wavered for a moment, you gave his hand a squeeze.
“It was touch and go when the medics arrived, Spencer did the best he could. We thought we were going to lose you, I thought I was going to lose you.” Derek wasn’t one to wear his heart on his sleeve, not in the field but here, in this hospital room with you, he did.
“You didn't think that you would be able to get rid of me so quickly, did you?” you gave him a small smile. You picked up your phone from the side table, it was Christmas Eve. “Derek, go home. You shouldn't spend your Christmas Eve stuck in a hospital” you looked over at him, he had made himself comfortable in his chair again.
“There's nowhere I'd rather be right now”
June 6th, 2011
Your case in Chicago had wrapped up. The flight was meant to be a day before but due to a sudden thunderstorm that came through, you were stuck there.
Derek’s mother was kind enough to have all of you over for dinner, even though you all insisted that she didn’t have too. After dinner, Aaron and Rossi headed back to the hotel first, thanking her for her hospitality before heading out. Emily and JJ made themselves comfortable with Derek’s sisters and a bottle of wine, sharing stories of past lovers and tragic high school romances. Derek’s mom had you and Spencer flipping through photo albums, telling you stories of all kinds of trouble Derek caused as a kid.
Emily, JJ, Spencer, Derek and yourself ended up spending the night there. Hotch and Rossi had picked up your bags from your rooms, because you all had packed prior to finding out about the delayed flight and suggested you just meet at the jet. It was around 6am when you found yourself hugging Derek’s mother goodbye. Derek waited back a few moments, his mom whispering something to him before letting him go.
The drive to the jet was silent. JJ and Emily were hungover from too much wine, Spencer was half asleep and you were still trying to wake up while Derek drove. “It was nice to meet your mom, she’s sweet” you whispered, Emily still groaned that you were too loud. “She likes you” Derek glanced over at you before turning his attention back to the road.
When you arrived to the jet, everyone made themselves comfortable for the journey home. Emily sprawled onto one of the two seaters while JJ made herself comfortable on the other, Hotch and Rossi were sitting across from each other with their coffee. Spencer stretched himself over the span of the couch, going back to sleep. You and Derek sat beside each other on the two seater that was left.
The flight back was quiet, the only sounds were Spencer turning over constantly on the couch, Emily snoring and Hotch’s pen scribbling away on his paper. Derek’s arm rested over your shoulder and your head was on his shoulder.
“What’s the date?” Hotch asked Rossi
“June 6th” he said
June 6th seemed so familiar to you, as if you were supposed to remember it. You sat there pondering about it for a few minutes before Derek’s voice broke through your thoughts.
“What’s on your mind?”
“I can't seem to place why June 6th is important” you mumbled before looking out the window
Derek hummed, not giving you an answer. You went over the events of your day to see if you could remember. Woke up to a call from Hotch, woke up everyone, said goodbye to Derek’s family, Derek’s lingering hug and whisper from his mom, the drive to the jet, Hotch asking the date.
Derek’s lingering hug and whisper from his mom.
June 6th.
It was his birthday.
You sat up and turned to him, he looked at you. “What’s wrong?” his brows furrowed, confused as to why you moved. You pulled him into a hug, “Happy birthday D” He chuckled, “thank you pretty lady”
You leaned into kiss his cheek but he had the same idea, resulting in your lips on his. He smiled against your lips, pulling you closer to him. Your hands found their way to his chest, resting there as you kissed him.
He pulled away, both of you breathless.
October 26th 2012
You walked to work in the rain.
You had woken up late, you didn't feel like going but you promised Spencer you would help him prank Derek for halloween. You had just ended your relationship, you couldn’t take it anymore. You were constantly fighting and he always said you picked your work over him, which you did but that was only because work was the only escape you had.
No one at work knew about your boyfriend, other than Hotch. He had walked into the stairwell to find you crying, you explained to him what had happened. You made him promise not to tell anyone, especially Derek. You knew how Derek was, he would have killed your boyfriend if he found out. Hotch didn’t know the full extent of your relationships, just the arguments and the sleepless nights. You often found yourself in his office, keeping him company while he worked just so you wouldn't have to go home.
You were soaking wet by the time you reached the BAU, you walked straight to Derek’s office. His back was to the door when you walked in, “just a sec” he mumbled when you pushed the door shut. He spun his chair, “hey ma- what happened?” there was a very noticeable frown on your face. He stood up and walked over, he went to give you a hug. Your first reaction was to take a step back and secondly, your body automatically flinched.
“hey, hey, baby... it’s just me. it’s okay. I won’t hurt you.” He stayed where he was, his face was unreadable. “y/n..” he called for you, you walked over. You practically fell into his arms, clinging onto him. His arms wrapped around you slowly, not wanting to startle you anymore than he already had.
“You know I would never touch you like that or hurt you, you know that right?” he kissed the top of your head, your face still buried in his chest. Something about Derek always brought comfort to you. Sometimes it’s his smile, sometimes it’s a hug and other times, it’s just him as a whole. “Do you want to talk about it ?” he asked you quietly, you shook your head. “Let me take you home to change” you shook your head again,
“I don’t want to go home”
“You can’t stay in wet clothes all day. Let me just take you home to get stuff and then we can go back to my place ?”
He led you to the car, you both sat in silence the whole drive. He knew you’d tell him what happened when you were ready, it didn’t make sense to push you. He pulled into the driveway, “can you come in with me?” you mumbled, he nodded. You weren't sure if your ex boyfriend was there to get his stuff, he knew you'd be at work right now so there was a chance that he had stopped by.
You pushed the door open, there was a broken vase on the floor, the water and flowers from the vase spread across the floor. A picture frame of you and your ex thrown on the floor, a dent on the wall from where he had thrown it.
Derek didn’t say anything, he followed you up the stairs to your bedroom. Your clothes were thrown all over your room, the drawers from your dresser were pulled out and a few were on the floor, a perfume bottle was shattered on the bathroom floor, the contents of the bottle spilling everywhere.
You sat on the bed, the tears started to fall. You tried to hold yourself together, you wasted so much of your life on him and you thought you were finally done. Derek sat beside you, letting you cry on his shoulder.
“Baby, talk to me.. please”
You told him everything, from the moment you realized you were in love to when you realized that this wasn't love, from when you told Hotch and how you would spend nights with him in his office so you wouldn’t have to go home. You told him how you ended things last night, and that the house was fine before you left for work.
Derek looked sad, not only for you but for himself too, why didn’t he realize what was happening sooner? If he did, he would have helped you.
“Okay, this is what we’re going to do mama. You’re going to pack a bag and you’re staying with me for a few days. I’m going to change all the locks and latches in this house and put in an alarm system. Don’t even bother about the mess, I'll clean it up, you just need to get out of here” he gave you a hug.
“I promise you that he’ll never hurt you again”
December 24th, 2012
The entire team had come over for Christmas Eve dinner at your place. After everything that happened with your ex, Derek made good on his promises. He changed everything and put in an alarm system for you. He helped you move on, he stuck by yourself when you felt alone and lost. You found yourself spending more and more time with him.
Rossi had come over and helped you cook. Penelope and Spencer spent the afternoon locked up in your guest bedroom wrapping gifts, one of them stepping out for a few hours to find more tape or wrapping paper. JJ and Will arrived with the boys, Hotch and Jack showing up a few minutes later. Emily arrived next with a bottle of wine for you, and Derek arrived last with a bunch of bags and gifts. Spencer helped him put all of them under the tree.
After dinner, Hotch and Rossi stayed at your dining room table with a bottle of scotch while you, JJ, Penelope and Emily were in the kitchen with a bottle of wine. You could hear Derek chasing Jack and Michael around the living room, Will and Spencer laughing as Henry showed them a magic trick. You glance over at them, Derek is spinning Jack around and Micheal is on the floor, laughing. You can’t help but smile.
“Close your mouth sweet cheeks, you’re going to drool all over yourself” Penelope whispers to you, nudging your shoulder with hers. You blush but blamed it on too much wine, “I have no clue what you’re talking about”
“Whatever you say sugar, but I can see the looks you give chocolate thunder and the ones he’s been giving you” she takes a sip of her wine before turning to walk to the living room. “Wait! what looks?” you ask and she shakes her head.
Penelope calls everyone into the living room, everyone has found a spot and made themselves comfortable. Jack, Henry, Michael and Spencer have all made themselves comfortable on the floor in front of the tree. Penelope helped you pass the gifts out to everyone.
Two hours and 8 rolls of gift paper later, everyone had collected their presents and said goodnight before leaving, Derek stayed back to help you tidy up. “You didn’t have to stay back, I know you probably have better things to do on Christmas Eve” you chuckled, pushing the gift paper into the trash. “Y/n, like I told you the last time, there’s nowhere I rather be on Christmas Eve”
You smiled at him, remembering that he was talking about the night he spent in the hospital with you. “Thank you though” he nodded.
“Do you want something to drink ? Coffee? Tea?”
“Tea sounds good” He sat on the kitchen stool by your counter.
You turned yourself away from him to put some water in the kettle. Derek was shifting around with something behind you, something heavy landed on the counter. Turning around, there was a book on the counter.
Pride and Prejudice
It wasn’t just any copy, it was the exact one that your grandfather had gotten you for your 17th birthday. It went missing after your breakup, you figured your ex took it but you weren't up for fighting with him over a book.
“Derek.. where’d you get this?” you looked down at the book, your fingers running over the front of it.
“Baby girl tracked down someone that knew someone else and I got it for you. I remember you were looking for it after the breakup”
You never expected Derek to remember something like that, it was just a passing thought as you cleaned up your place, you had forgotten about it yourself.
“Do you like it?” Derek’s voice broke through your thoughts. You rounded the counter and pulled him into a hug. “I love it, thank you”
“Merry Christmas y/n”
“Merry Christmas Derek”
January 13th, 2013
“Did she like her gift?” was the first thing Penelope asked Derek when he walked into her office. Hotch had given you guys 3 weeks off for the holidays and all of you were now returning to work. Penelope had a lot of time to ponder about her best friend and his crush.
“Yes she did, thank you for your help baby girl” he leaned down and kissed her cheek, she smiled at him. “Okay spill now” she spun her chair around to face Derek who was leaning against one of the tables.
“What is there to spill mama?” he chuckled
“Don’t play stupid with me Derek Morgan. You and y/n, you’ve been spending so much time with her” she told him
“Awh, are you jealous baby girl? you know you’re my one and only” he laughed
She shook her head, laughing. “As much as I like hearing that, seriously. What’s going on? I know you care about all of us but you wouldn't have gone out of your way for just a book if it was Emily or Rossi”
Maybe she was right, there were some underlying feelings that he hadn't told anyone about. “Baby, I think you like her” Penelope looked at him, he shook his head,
“No, I don’t”
“Yes, you do”
“No, I don’t”
“You do!”
“I don’t!”
“Derek!”
“Penelope!”
“You like her!”
“I like her! Oh shit.. I like her” his mouth hung open, his brows furrowed. She giggled, “told you so, momma’s always right baby boy” she tapped his leg with her foot.
He sat beside her on the chair. “What do I-” she cut him off.
“I’ll tell you what you’re going to do. You’re going to tell that wonderful lady that you like her and should you be so lucky that she likes you back, you take her out on a date, like none other before. You love her and treat her well or I will hurt you” She smiled sweetly at him.
“You understand me?” she asked him, he nodded before resting his head on her shoulder. Her hand came up to rest on his cheek, she kissed his forehead.
February 13th, 2013
“Y/n!” Derek shouted for you as you stepped off the elevator. “Hey!” you smiled at him. “What’s the plan for Valentine’s Day, pretty lady ?” you chuckled and shook your head.
“No plans Der, what about you ? A hot date?” you wiggled your eyebrows, making him laugh.
“I haven't quite figured out yet, I'll let you know” You smiled before walking up to Hotch’s office to drop off some papers while Derek headed to his desk.
It was a relatively quiet day at the office, mostly paperwork. It was around lunchtime that Derek worked up the courage to ask you on a date. “Coffee for the pretty lady” he set the mug on your desk, you smiled at him. “Thank you D” he nodded, leaning on your desk.
“Still no plans?” you asked him while taking a sip, he laughed.
“I came over here hoping that I could change my lack of plans” he looked at you, a smile on his face.
“Meaning?” you looked up at him
“Meaning, would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow?”
You coughed, nearly choking on your coffee. “You okay ?” he asked you, you nodded. “Yeah sorry, I'm fine but yes, I will go on a date with you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I've gotta go to the bathroom” He smiled and you smiled at him before walking out of the bullpen. You headed straight to Penelope’s office.
“Penny!” you squealed.
“y/n!” she squealed back, “what’s going on sugar?”
“Derek asked me on a date” you gave her a small smile
“What?!” She stood up, pulling you into a hug “Details! What are you gonna wear? Where are you guys going? Are you gonna do the nasty ? Wait, don’t answer that. Surprise me on that one.”
You laughed, “the red dress you got me for Christmas, no idea maybe dinner ? and I doubt we’ll be doing it”
February 14th, 2013
There was a knock on the front door as you walked down the stairs. “It’s open!” you shouted, Derek came into view shutting the door behind him. “You look.. wow” he had a bunch of red roses in his hand. You smiled, “thank you, you look wow too” he chuckled and handed the flowers to you,
“These are for you”
“Thank you, they're beautiful. Let me put them in a vase and we can go?”
He nodded and sat on your steps while you headed to the kitchen. You came back a few minutes later and the two of you headed out. Derek took you to a little restaurant in the city, it wasn’t in central D.C but still in the city. It was quiet and the two of you sat outside. Dinner was quiet, you had normal small talk, sharing your plans for the summer and Derek told you about his trip to see his mom.
“Y/n, can I tell you something?” Derek’s hand rested on yours, you nodded for him to continue.
“I like-” “Sir, here's your cheque” the waiter smiled at you two, leaving it on the table. You held back a giggle, “you were saying?” you looked at him.
“I like you, like really like you. I’ve felt this way for a while and I figured after everything you’ve been through you deserve someone that would take care of you, treat you the way you deserve to be treated. I hope I could be that person” he looked back at you.
“I like you too, Derek and I would love for you to be that person”
March 18th, 2015
Rossi insisted that everyone come over after the last case to unwind. Your life had been going well lately, you and Derek had been together for a little over 2 years. You had told him to go over to Rossi’s without you and you would get a ride with Hotch.
Hotch picked you up a little after 8. “Sorry, I had to help Jack with something before dropping him at Jessica’s.” “Oh that’s alright, thanks for picking me up.” He nodded and drove to Rossi’s. Hotch wasn't one for small talk but today he was.
“How are things with you and Morgan ?”
“Good actually”
“He makes you happy ?”
“He does”
“Good, you deserve happiness y/n”
“Thank you Aaron, so do you. Maybe it's time for you to start trying to find someone” you suggested. “It’s been a while since Haley and I know she was your first love but she would want you to be happy.” you looked over at him, he had a small smile on his face.
“Actually, I started seeing someone”
“What? Really? Tell me more”
He laughed and pulled in Rossi’s driveway. “Maybe another time, let’s go in” He got out of the car and waited for you before heading to the door. Rossi let you both in, but the house was empty. “Where’s everyone ?” you asked, Rossi looked over at Hotch and smiled, the two of them led you to the backyard. “You guys aren't going to kill me right?” Aaron gave you a look to stop your nonsense making you laugh. Everyone stood in the backyard with Derek in the middle of them.
“What’s going on?” you looked around
Derek stepped forward, “y/n..” he got on one knee, your jaw dropped, literally.
“You know I love you, I'd go to the end of the earth and back for you. You have shown me what happiness and love looks like and you bring out the best in me. Make me the happiest man and marry me?”
“yes, of course” you laughed, he got up and pulled you into a hug before slipping the ring on your finger.
December 24th, 2016
“How do I look? Is my veil crooked ?” you looked over at him, Hotch shook his head. “You look perfect y/n” he smiled at you which made you smile. The bridal march began.
“Too late to run away ?” you looked over as you hooked your arm with his.
“Too late to run away. Are you ready?” he asked and you nodded.
The doors opened, Derek stood at the end of the aisle. Rossi stood beside him as your officiant and Spencer on the other side of him as his best man. Penelope was across from them as your maid of honour. Aaron walked you down the aisle, handing you off to Derek. Aaron kissed your cheek, “be good to her Derek, she’s precious”
You looked out into the crowd to see JJ, Will and their boys with Emily beside them, Hotch sat beside Jack and Beth was on the other side of Jack. Derek’s mom and his sisters were in the front. Rossi started to speak when everyone settled down.
“As someone who’s been married multiple times, I'm an expert”
“4 times!” Emily pointed out
“It was only 3 but anyways, we’re here today to honour these two beautiful people and watch them commit themselves to each other. I’ll keep my part short, do you have vows?” Rossi looked over at you and you nodded.
“You guys know what saying, whatever souls are made of, his and mine are the same? Whenever I hear that, I think of us. From the day I met you, I realized you were special. You made me laugh and smile like no one had ever done before. You were there for me when I gave up, when I needed someone to be there for me. You helped me get back on my feet, you taught me what real love looks like, what happiness feels like and what it feels like to truly be loved” you looked at Derek and smiled, he was wiping away the tears. “Everyday, I'm thankful for you because you make me who I am, I'm complete when I'm with you.” You squeezed his hand and gave him a smile.
“I don't know how you’re going to top that” Rossi patted his back, making Derek chuckle.
“As you said, from the day I met you, I knew you were special, but our love story didn’t begin until that day in the hospital, exactly 6 years ago today. You were injured and I sat in your room on Christmas Eve, you were trying to get me to go home and I told you that there’s nowhere I would rather be because you’re the one I choose, always. Through space and time and back, I'll find my way back to you and choose you. There’s no one else for me y/n, so I promise to you here today in front of our family that I will love you with no bounds because you give me hope, give me joy, and make me a better man.”
After that, there was not a dry eye in that room, even Hotch teared up. “I think you beat me” you whispered to him.
“Well, I've watched these two grow and fall in love with each other over the last 6 years and I've been very lucky to see that. I remember the day Derek told Spencer that he was taking y/n on a date and when Derek came to me to ask me to use the house for the proposal. These two were meant to be and by the power vested in me, I pronounce you man and wife. you may- oh you’re already kissing” Rossi laughed.
Derek held your hand as the two of you made your way back down the aisle, now as Mr and Mrs. Morgan.
Actually as, Agent and Agent Morgan.

Summary: When you’re dating Luke Alvez, and best friends with Penelope Garcia, things might get a little messy when she finds out
Paring: Luke Alvez x gn! reader
Word count: 1.3k
WARNINGS: none
Genre: Angst (hurt to comfort)
The sun was painfully bright as it hit your eyes, and your warm, warm blanket had seemed to have gone astray. Squinting your eyes and hiding from the sun, you squirmed in the bed to try and find the nearest source of warmth. Which just so happened to be Luke. You latched onto him as if your life depended on it, and then you fell back asleep.
When Luke woke up, he smiled when he saw you sleeping next to him. He quietly laughed at how you were latched onto him, and then gently brushed the hair out of your face.
The two of you had been dating for about five months now, and no one on the team knew. Especially not Penelope. Given her dislike of Luke and the fact that you were her best friend, you and Luke both thought it would be best if you didn’t tell her. But, you both very well knew that if she went snooping, she would find out, because she’s Penelope Garcia for goodness’ sake. But for now, the two of you had your secret rendezvous’, and sneaky little hand holdings.
You had been rudely awakened by the ringing of your phone, which you groggily picked up, and answered.
“SSA Y/n L/n,” you said with a raspy morning voice.
“Hey! It’s Prentiss” you heard Emily say, “I just need you to come into the office for a few minutes. There are a few problems with the paperwork, and I need you to come to sign some things. Sorry for the inconvenience, I know it’s your day off though,”
“It’s all good Em. I’ll be there in 15,” you told her as you hung the phone up.
“Do we have a case?” Luke questioned as he had heard you on the phone.
“No, I just have to go into the office cause there were some problems with the paperwork,” you said with a frown, disappointed that you had to leave.
“It’s ok. I’ll be waiting here for you when you get back though!”
“Yeah, I know you will. This is your apartment after all” you said teasing him with a huge smile on your face.
You gave him a peck on the lips, then proceeded to change out of your pajamas. You didn’t feel the need to fully get ready, seeing as you were only going to be in the office for a little bit, so you just threw on random clothes you found on the floor.
You then grabbed your bag, and quickly ran out the door, not hearing when Luke was saying as you closed the door, and walked out into the hallway.
+++
You entered the FBI building, humming your favorite song, and then proceeded to make your way up to the floor of the BAU headquarters.
Walking through the doors of the BAU, you spot Emily, and then you begin signing all the things she needed. It took about five minutes to do everything you needed, and when you were done with that, you began to search for your phone. You were planning to text Luke, to tell him you were headed home, but you couldn’t find it. You panicked a bit, searched your whole bag, and your surrounding areas, panicked a bit more.
You let out a big sigh of relief when you realized your tech genius best friend Penelope was in the office and that she could help you.
You rushed into her batcave, and hurried to tell her, “Hey PG! Can you do me a favor? Yeah? Ok cool. I lost my phone and I was wondering if you could track it,”
“Yeah sure Y/n,” she said as she began to type your phone number into her computer.
“Ok. It says your phone is at-” she pauses when she reads it’s location, and then you read it for yourself.
“Oh no,” you mutter to yourself.
“Y-your phone is at Luke’s apartment! Why is it there! OMG! Wait! No! Omg omg omg” Penelope rambled as she panicked.
Your thoughts drifted to earlier this morning. When you were changing you set your phone on the edge of his bed. “Oh, how could I have been so stupid!” you said to yourself.
You were snapped out of your thoughts by Penelope gasping, and almost yelling, “Ahhh! Is that Luke’s shirt?”
You looked down at the shirt you were wearing, and it was indeed Luke’s black polo. You must’ve grabbed it from the floor.
“Umm, yeah” you awkwardly replied to her, as you watched her freakout, not sure how to help her.
“I can’t believe you hid this from me! You're dating the newbie? I mean how could you do that? He’s like- like the enemy!”
“Hey, Penelope, calm down ok? Just listen to me for a sec. Ok, yes. Luke and I have been dating. But we just didn’t want to upset you. I knew you would be hurt if you found out, so I was just trying to find a better way to tell you. Pen, he makes me so happy, and we love each other. I know you really don’t like him, but maybe you can just try? For me?” you said to her, trying to sound as calm as reasonable as you could. When in reality, you were freaking out, and very desperate.
“Yeah ok...  I guess.” she sighed, and you could hear the hesitance inner voice. She was still mad.
After Penelope agreed, you rushed back to Luke’s apartment, because you knew you needed to talk to Luke, before Penelope did.
+++
On the way back to Luke’s, you couldn’t help but worry. You loved Luke, but you also loved Penelope, and if she wasn’t ok with your relationship, you weren’t sure what you’d do.
The anxiety was slowly bubbling within you, with you felt, along with the panic. But there was something else. Guilt. Guilt for keeping this from Penelope, and guilt for getting caught in the first place.
But before you could delve even more into those thoughts, you were pulling into the apartment complex.
“Hey, baby...” you softly called out to Luke as you unlocked the door to his apartment.
As you approached the bedroom, you quietly said to him, with a frown on your face, “Uhh I kinda did something bad…”
Luke then, grabbed both of your hands, and comforted you, he hated seeing you upset. “Hey, It’s ok. What happened?”
“Well I left my phone here but didn’t notice, and after I finished with the paperwork I was freaking out cause I couldn’t find my phone, so I asked Penelope to track it, and she saw where it was. Here. She knows now, Luke.” you said, trying not to hyperventilate.
“Ok, Ok. Umm, how did she react?” Luke asked processing everything.
“Pretty bad,” you said in a worried tone, “but she agreed to give it a chance. So that’s good. But we should probably invite her over for dinner or something though.”
“Yeah ok,” Luke said as he pulled you onto the bed to cuddle.
As Luke put his arm around you, and you snuggled into him, he noticed something was still wrong.
“Hey, bub. What’s wrong?” Luke asked in a concerned tone.
“I’m just worried. I mean Penelope’s my best friend. I just want her to approve of our relationship.”
“It’ll be ok, my love. I’m sure Penelope will get over it soon,” he said hopefully.
“Do you even know her? I mean she still calls you newbie,” You said laughing a bit under your breath, but still under duress.
“Ok, ok you’re right. But you have to relax ok? Penelope loves you. She can’t stay mad at you forever. Right?” Luke said to comfort you, and once you nodded at what he had said, he told you, “and hey, if she still is mad, at least you have me,”
“Yeah. ok,” you said, as you swung your legs over his, and rested your head on his shoulder.
“Always,” Luke said while kissing you on the forehead.
At that moment you knew that no matter what happened, you would be ok, because you had had Luke, someone who loved you, and that love would be enough.
(Spoiler alert: Penelope forgave the two of you, and you became her OTP. But too whose surprise, really?)

MASTERLIST
plot: you’ve been kidnapped by an unsub who fell in love with you, and Spencer is the one who rescued you
notes: extreme confident!reader, nervous!spencer, this is just a brainstorm of a book idea I had and decided to make it a spencer fanfic u know normal stuff
warnings: kidnapping, mentions of torture, mentions of rape, drinking, age gap (22-29), blood, injuries, criminal minds typical stuff
category: mostly angst and a little bit of fluff
word count: 3,9k
"Y/N Y/L/N, 22, kidnapped in a club near the college campus while partying with her friends. Last seen at 1 AM, reported missing by her roommates when she didn't appear in all-day three hours ago," informed Garcia to the team while they were revising the case on the jet. "The New Haven PD is waiting for you at the police station."
"Thank you, Garcia," thanked Hotch, but Garcia continued to talk.
"There's something else you need to see."
    "What is it?" Questioned Morgan.
"One of her roommates, Sandy Melville, has a channel where she posts videos of her life in college and with roommates. And Y/N appears in all of them."
"You think this could be the work of a stalker?" Asked JJ looking at Garcia.
"Someone could've watched Y/N in the background of the videos and developed a crush on her," said Emily.
"Not in the background," corrected Garcia, "she's the protagonist of the videos. Sandy followers love her, and I don't blame them."
Garcia proceeded to show the team one of the videos of Sandy walking through the snow of New Haven. The three friends were on the sidewalk, and the camera was focused on you as you kicked the snow off to the street as you laughed.
"Y/N you are going to slip and fall!" Exclaimed your other roommate, Liz, pointing the ice that was on the border of the sidewalk. You continued to laugh.
"Don't be such a drama queen, Liz, and enjoy the snow!" You yelled with a smile. "Kindness is like snow ─ it beautifies everything it covers."
"Kahlil Gibran," interrupted Spencer, surprising the team who haven't heard him talk in the entire trip. "It's a writer, he said that."
"Don't be so poetic, Y/N!" Exclaimed Sandy.
"Kahlil Gibran said it, and I live for those words," you replied. The camera quickly turned to Liz.
"She's crazy," said laughing before being hit with a snowball on the shoulder. "Y/N!"
You simply laughed, and the video ended.
"There are videos of their whole lives," commented Garcia. "Sandy recorded everything and posted online."
Spencer was still staring at the frozen image of you laughing. Something about it had your complete attention.
"Ok, JJ, I want you to make a press conference, and then, you and I will talk to the roommates and ask Sandy if she recorded something about the night of her disappearance. Morgan, Prentiss, go to the club, watch the security tapes, see if someone was looking at Y/N or talking to her. Reid, Dave, victimology, go to her apartment and learn everything you can about Y/N, including maybe what attracted the stalker to her. Garcia, check conversations, someone that has messaged her, that she blocked, calls, anything you can get, see if there is anything suspicious. We'll meet back at the station with everything we found."
Spencer grabbed your picture from the file. It was your college ID photo, and you looked stunning. Your hair was curled, your eye makeup was bright, different from the one's he has seen. Yours made your eyes appear bigger and shinner, while your lipgloss made shine your pink lips.
-----------------------------------------------------
Rossi and Reid walked through your room, staring at the details of your walls, your awards, your photographs. You are intelligent, your bookshelves are filled with different literature books that could explain your knowledge.
"She speaks French," announced Rossi as he grabbed your French edition of Candide by Voltaire.
"And Spanish," added Reid going through your notes in Spanish literature class. "She's smart."
"She goes to an Ivy League School, we should've expected more than this," observed Rossi. "This is a clever, intelligent girl, she wouldn't leave with a stranger just like that, it doesn't make any sense."
"Well, she was drunk," said Spencer. "She just finished finals, she's graduating with a Criminology Degree in two weeks and went to celebrate with her friends."
"Finals are very stressful, and it was a college bar, so maybe she didn't have her defence mode on, she trusted the guy. Where is her dog?" Asked Rossi pointing the dog bed next in your corner.
"With her roommate," Spencer replied. "It's not usually from a stalker to approach their object of desire without preparation, and a club is risky. Y/N had to know the guy and trusted him."
"Or, she never saw him coming," whispered Rossi.
"Do you think hhe attacked her from behind? It was a crowded club, someone must have seen it."
"He could've put a knife on her back, asked her not to scream and walked her outside. She was drunk, so she was weak, she couldn't fight back. He had to know that. Y/N looks like a girl who can defend herself. Everything in this room screams confidence, her videos, her attitude, he had to kidnap her in her weakest moment."
"For that, he had to know she would have her finals last week. What if we are not looking for someone who developt a crush through the internet videos, but rather someone who sees her every day?"
-----------------------------------------------------
You slowly opened your eyes. The room was dark, with just one dash of light entering through a small window near the roof.
    You were in a basement.
Your hands were tied over your head, your feet lifted from the ground only letting the tip of your tow to touch the cold dirt under you. You exhaled. Your eyes felt heavy to open. Blinking was hard because opening them again felt tiring.
Your underneath t-shirt was filled was no longer red, your pants and sweater were missing, for some reason, your stomach hurt like hell.
With all your strength, you look at it, having an idea what was it but being scared of it. You slowly focused your eyes on the red stain in your clothing and the cuts in your legs.
You heard someone crying and took you a few seconds to realize it was you. You haven't sobbed in a while, in years maybe. It scared you. You were scared. All alone.
-----------------------------------------------------
Spencer and Rossi entered the police station and walked towards the table where the team was sitting. The whole board was filled with your information, your class schedule, your contacts, your credit card information, your grades, your family members, everything that Garcia could get from your computer.
"What did you find?" Asked Hotch to Reid.
"She's intelligent, she speaks three languages, and her whole life screams confidence, "look at me". It doesn't make sense she would leave the club with a guy and not tell her friends before in case something happens to her."
"We think her stalker is not someone who watches the videos, but someone she knows. A classmate, a teacher, someone that knew her well to affirm that she finished her finals yesterday, and that will go to a particular bar to celebrate with her friends."
"There are at least five different college bars that Y/N and her friends frequented," added JJ as she remembered what your roommates told her. "How did the unsub know she will go to that bar exactly?"
"Maybe he heard her. If Reid's theory that the unsub is a classmate, she could've said it in class and he listened."
"Ok," interrupted Garcia, "I found three blocked accounts in Y/N social media of guys trying to flirt with her but coming to strong that maybe worried her, but none of them is remotely near her, and I checked their entire background."
"We checked the security cameras and the bar receipts," announced Morgan as he and Prentiss entered. "Neither she nor her friends bought any drinks that night."
    "They were sober?" Questioned Spencer.
"No, someone bought them for them. Maybe our unsub."
"My dear super friends," interrupted Garcia appearing on the screen. "I was checking Sandy's phone like you told me, and she did record last night at the bar."
"I thought she said she didn't remember."
"Well, turns out she did. Check this out."
The video was clearly terrible quality. Sandy was moving and dancing around, making it impossible for the camera to focus. When she stopped, the team could clearly see your silhouette as you drank what it appeared not to be your first shot of tequila.
"Y/N! Y/N! I'm dying to know," said Sandy drunkenly. "What is your plan after graduating?"
"Uhm," you whispered, trying to talk clearly. "The only thing I have available is the FBI."
"Could you imagine," interrupted Liz between laughs, "Y/N with a gun?"
"I would look incredibly hot with a gun, what are you talking about?" You joked between laughs. "I don't know what it's outside for me. All my life, I've had everything planned. Study, get good grades, repeat. It can be scary doing something different."
"Oh, please," said Liz as she was falling next to you. You were quick to catch her and put her arm over your shoulder, "you are Y/N Y/L/N, I bet everyone wants you."
"I am a man who does not exist for others."
    "Ayn Rand," murmured Spencer.
"You are a woman," said Sandy.
"It's from Ayn Rand, you guys are so drunk," you laughed before turning around. "Where the hell is the guy who bought these for us?"
You looked through the bar but didn't find him.
"Hey, girls, I'll be back in a sec, I'm gonna pay for the drinks," you told your friends with a tiny smile.
"Wait, Y/N, let's dance," interrupted Sandy, grabbing your hand and dragging you to the dance floor.
"Morgan, who was the guy who bought the drinks for them?" Interrogated Hotch and Morgan quickly went through the receipts of last night.
"At least six people bought tequila shots last night. End of finals week."
"Y/N felt the need to pay the drinks back," pointed out Spencer as he watched you danced on the screen. "Why would she do that?"
"She felt bad because he bought drinks for all her friends but wasn't hanging out with them?" Proposed JJ.
"Or, something attracted her of him," whispered Spencer before clicking one of the videos in Sandy's vlog. "I was looking at this video earlier. Sandy asked Y/N how her ideal guy look like. Maybe the stalker watched it and tried to mimic it."
"Why were you watching that video, Reid?" Asked Emily, and he shook his head nervously.
"Research... for the case... yeah. Here it is."
"My ideal guy," you murmured as you played with your little dog on your bed. "He has to be smart, but not cocky smart, he has to be humble. I hate mystery, so he has to be direct with me, with what he wants, I like that. Maybe tall, handsome, not afraid to talk to me. I don't know, Sandy, someone that can catch my attention without even trying."
Reid paused the video just in time to see your smile to the camera. You were so pretty.
He had to find you alive, he had to meet you.
"We don't have time for a profile. Garcia, check the security video and look for a tall, good looking man that bought tequila shots between 10:30 and 11."
Garcia was quick enough to show the security footage in the screen, pausing just in time to show a man buying the shots and telling the bartender to send them towards a table. Your table.
"Who is that?" Questioned JJ, and Derek was quick enough to check.
"Baby girl, look for William Klaus, Gale Andrews, Damien Ace and Ricardo Montero and tell me which one looks like the guy at the bar."
    "Neither of them," she said.
"Can he have used another person's tab?"
"No, that would have involved other people to his concerns. He is meticulous, he doesn't leave a trail."
"Did he pay in cash?" Asked JJ.
"That many tequila shots? Who has that kind of money in hand? He had to use a credit card."
"All of these kids go to private school. If he actually goes to college with them, he has money."
"We are back to nothing. All of our eyewitnesses were drunk."
"Except the bartender," pointed out Spencer. "He's gotta remember someone who paid in cash."
"Ok, Morgan, Prentiss, go to the bar again and interview the bartender, ask for someone who paid for shots in cash. We will deliver the profile."
-----------------------------------------------------
"The man we are looking for is white in his late teens and early twenties. Tall, and handsome, probably talks smartly and is nervous around people, traits that he learned by listening to Y/N description of an ideal man."
"It is a student on campus. We denominate this unsub as a Love-Scorned stalker, he believes that Miss Y/L/N is madly in love with him. He has probably seen her sometimes giving him glances, or smiling, and thinking they were for him."
"This type of unsub is extremely asocial, does not participate in scholar events, does not raise his hand in class, and is remarkably intelligent, enough to get into a private school."
"This unsub is not a killer but will become one the second his fantasy seems interrupted. Maybe by the same Y/N who doesn't want to play along, there's no way to know how is he going to react with her. We trust that Y/N will realize that she needs to pretend to be in love with him to survive, but we can't be sure."
"In case of his fantasy being blinded or interrupted, he can get really aggressive and possessive towards her. He's been dreaming to be with her for so long that her rejecting him is not an option."
"Stalkers commonly killed their objective of desire. The time in which they do, variates in how the victim reacts to them."
"That's why we need to find her as soon as possible. Ask her classmates, teachers, friends. Someone has to have listened to our unsub suspiciously talk about her, maybe in a way that made them uncomfortable. Our unsub can't manage what he says in public due to his weak social skills."
"Thank you," finished Hotch, and the police department broke apart, going separate ways. "She's been missing 20 hours, let's find her as quick as possible." The team divided, but Hotch stopped Reid before he could walk away. "Reid, have Garcia found Y/N's parents?"
"No, uhm, her mom died, and her dad abandoned them when she was little. Her aunt is on her way, though."
    "Ok, thank you."
-----------------------------------------------------
"Dance," he ordered you, "I always loved your dancing. You danced for me a few weeks ago, remember."
"It was a charity event for the school, Parker," you whispered. "I danced for everyone."
"I'm not scared of you, ok? Do whatever you want. You want to kill me? Then do it, I'm tired."
"I will never hurt you, Y/N."
"Yes, you will. Stalkers always kill their object of desire, Parker, and you've been stalking me for a while, haven't you? You think I'm in love with you, don't you?"
"Shut up," Parker whispered before you spit blood that you had in your mouth. "You are ruining this!"
"What? Your fantasy? You aren't in love with me, Parker, you are in love with the idea of me. You don't know me."
"I do... know you... I know you."
"No, you don't. Just because you know at what time I leave for school, at what time I arrive home. Just because you know I walk my dog every afternoon and with who I hang out doesn't mean you know me. Parker, I'm more than a schedule, an object that you see walking through your binoculars. Just because you raped me and broke my arm doesn't mean you know my body. You can't love, Parker..."
    "Stop!"
"... it's chemically impossible," you continued, "you don't feel love. You are missing one of the most beautiful feelings in the world, and it's not even your fault! You are a sociopath, and no matter how much you try, you will never know how the adrenaline of seeing someone across the room that you love feels like, you'll try to replicate it. You'll kill just to feel something, even if you don't want to."
    "Shut up! Shut your mouth!"
"Kill me," you didn't even realize how you stuttered while saying those words. "It's the only way you are actually going to feel something. Kill me, because when you get in a mental home, the feeling of my blood running through your hands and skin is the only thing you are going to have, and you are never going to get it again. It's a drug that it's only going to work the first time. After you stab me with that knife, you are going to feel something for three seconds for the first time in your life, just so then, not feeling nothing at all for the rest of it. You must want it to be unique, right? Your first kill, probably your only one. So, light some candles, end my suffering... I'm not even going to feel it with the pain of my arm so who cares."
Parker was staring at you, not moving, not knowing what to do, while you just look at him. You already knew that if you didn't get medical attention soon, the blood you are loosing for the cuts in your legs, and the pain from your broken arm were going to do the job for him, so you had nothing to lose. And making him spend his entire life in jail for murder was your goal.
    "Do it... kill me..."
-----------------------------------------------------
"Ok, so I did some research and found out that Y/N was part of this dance marathon for a charity event where an anonymous guy donated three thousand dollars just so she would keep dancing," informed Garcia.
"That's an enormous amount of money just for her to dance," observed Derek.
"And that is not the creepiest part, I found the name of the donor, and it is Parker Edwards, he is an art and literature student, and please look at the last art assignment that he delivered for his final grade in finals week."
Garcia showed them a gigantic portrait of you next to a creepy guy, not smiling, just staring deadly to the camera.
"Well, that's definitely creepy," murmured Prentiss.
"Do you have an address?" Asked Hotch.
"House 365, 21st with Second Avenue."
    "Let's go."
-----------------------------------------------------
"Y/N, I need you to open your eyes," you heard someone whisper to you, and you slowly did. "My name is Doctor Spencer Reid, I'm with the FBI."
"He didn't kill me?" You questioned slowly. Your mouth was dry, and you couldn't feel your legs.
"No, he didn't. Y/N, I need you to open your eyes, please." You nodded. He proceeded to untie you, and you let fall in his arms. "I got you, I got you," he mumbled. "Can you walk?" You glanced at him, for then to show him how you couldn't even put your feet straight.  "Sorry, stupid question, put your arm around me."
"Not that arm, he broke it when he carried me in here." Spencer listened and changed sides, helping you to get out.
As soon as you were outside, the smell was different. You were used to the smell of dirt and your own blood, that when the spring breeze of New Haven hit you, you couldn't help but to smile.
"Would you join me in the ambulance?" You questioned, and he nodded. The paramedics got you inside and started plugging cables and hydrating you, but your eyes were just in Spencer. "You look young to be a doctor."
"If I had a penny for every time I hear that," you chuckled. "How are you feeling?"
"Like writing this in the experience box for my FBI academy application," you mumbled, now making him laugh. "I know that I'm covered in dirt and blood, and shampoo hasn't touched my hair in a while... but I'm actually pretty." He raised his eyebrows, noticing that the painkillers were taking effect. "Probably my legs look like the legs of a training object for ninjas with all of those cuts, but I'm a terrific dancer."
"I know. I saw the videos that Sandy filmed. Of you dancing at the bar."
"That's drunk. But sober, let me tell you, John Travolta got his inspiration for Pulp Fiction by me, true facts." He laughed. "Thank you for saving me."
"It's my job, and it's going to be yours too."
    You chuckled.
"You are cute, doctor," you mumbled before closing your eyes and being able to sleep for the first time in hours.
-----------------------------------------------------
October arrived. It's been months since the kidnapping and arrest of Parker, and it was your first day in Virginia for the academy. You were nervous, now more than ever. What if you didn't have what it takes?
You were completely cured, and the doctor freed you completely, and the first person you wanted to tell was Spencer.
You and the doctor had been talking for months now, and he was everything you dreamed of. He was smart, funny, he paid attention to you, and even though you guys were just friends, you liked him.
    You liked him a lot.
"This pile paperwork gets bigger every time I look at it," whispered Morgan staring at the tower. "I had plans tonight."
While Derek complained, Reid finished his and gave them to Hotch, and Morgan felt that as a personal attack."
"Please, tell people that if you disappear, I'm the prime suspect."
"Hey, isn't that Y/N from the New Haven stalking case?" Asked Emily to Spencer, making him look towards the door where you were standing, looking at him.
"Be right back," said the doctor standing up and walking towards you.
"What was that?" Asked Morgan to Prentiss, but she had no idea.
As soon as he was closer, he hugged you, and you felt safe immediately. You've only had seen him a few times since the hospital, so every time you guys reconnected, it was like you both grew up even more.
     "Y/N, you look great."
"I told you once that I was incredibly pretty."
Last time he saw you, you still had cuts in your face and a cast on your arm. Now, you were like a different person. Like that girl, he once admired dancing in those videos months ago.
     "What are you doing here?"
"Today is my first day in the academy," you let him know. "I wanted to tell you tonight, but I couldn't wait." He smiled. "Hey, so, I have a surprise."
     "Another one?" You chuckled.
You took out from your pocket two tickets for a horror film festival the day before, and he glanced at them curiously.
"We both love Halloween, so I thought it could be a great idea." He smiled.
"I love it... Y/N, about us."
"Don't say anything, you whispered, proceeding to kiss his cheek. "We will talk about it after. Bye, Spencer."
"See you tomorrow," he said softly, making you smile before leaving.
"Reid," Morgan called him, "care to explain?"
"Don't you have paperwork to do?" Morgan laughed, watching him walk away with a big smile.
    "Pretty boy..."

Prompt # 29: Motion Sickness
@sicktember Alternate prompt # 1: Warm Soup
Title: Professional Touch
Fandom: Criminal Minds
Based on this post
Hotch is in the middle of a serious monologue when he interrupts himself by sneezing. The team takes care of him.
A storm was brewing in Agent Hotchner’s office. Hotch was used to weathering storms of course, they all were, but this particular storm involved Chief Strauss, meaning it was harsher than most. The rest of the team kept glancing at the door to Hotch’s office anxiously. The section chief and unit chief had been shut in for over thirty minutes with the shades drawn. Every now and again raised voices could be heard, but it was impossible to make out what they were saying.
"He had a cold when he came in today," Reid murmured to Prentiss at one point. "This can't be easy for him."
Finally, after the forty-five minute mark had come and gone, Chief Strauss emerged, looking defiant and haughty as ever. She made sure not to meet the eyes of anyone else as she strode to the elevator, disappearing inside it without a word. Hotch stood in the doorway of his office watching her go, his look inscrutable, aside from his closely drawn eyebrows. Once she was gone, he turned his attention to his team, who collectively gulped as they noted his stony expression. Yet the expression was less powerful than it normally would have been, because he was visibly ill, with flushed cheeks, a chapped nose, and dark circles under his eyes.
Still, he was their chief, so when he approached Reid and Prentiss, they sat up at attention. Hotch glanced at the haphazard stacks of files mixed with old takeout containers on Emily's desk with a frown.
"I need you to tidy up your workspace, Prentiss. We need to present a good front for the Bureau at all times. You're also behind on submitting your reports. Work on that, please, right away." His tone was smooth but firm. There was no doubt how serious he was.
"Yes sir…." Emily said, looking confused.
"Reid, was there something I can help you with?" Hotch asked, since the doctor was staring at him intently.
No, I'm good--"
"Then back to work," Hotch said dismissively. Walking past Derek's desk, Hotch gave him a stern look, as the younger agent was flipping through paperwork with his feet propped up on his desk.
"Morgan, can we try to look somewhat professional? This isn't your living room."
Aaron didn't see the look of disbelief Morgan gave him as he pointedly looked away and continued through to the break room.
JJ walked in at the tail end of that exchange. As Hotch disappeared, she nonchalantly made her way over to Reid and Prentiss. "What's up with him?" JJ whispered, shooting a furtive glance at the unit chief.
"Beats me. But I hope he gets over it soon, whatever it is," Emily murmured back, reluctantly starting to clear the trash from her desk.
It was evident Hotch was still on the warpath when Garcia joined him in the break room moments later. She was dressed in her usual style of attire, wearing vibrant lime green and pink and compete with gaudy jewelry, fluffy pen and brightly colored folders. However, her purpose in leaving her office was not work-related today, but was evidently to bring over homemade cupcakes that were as brightly colored as her. Hotch watched her skeptically. Garcia, meanwhile, handed a cupcake to each team member, making friendly small talk as she did so. After a moment, Hotch approached her.
"What's the occasion for the cupcakes?" he asked.
"Nothing in particular. Just celebrating the lack of dead, mutilated bodies I've had to look at this week I suppose," she said cheerfully.
Hotch rubbed his nose gingerly. "Garcia, I feel I have to intervene here. You are aware you work for the FBI, yes?"
"Yes sir…?" she said, beginning to deflate immediately.
"And you're aware investigating homicides is what we're paid to do?"
"Yes…."
"Then don't you think it's a bit inappropriate to celebrate the fact that we haven't taken any cases this week?"
"I'm sorry sir, I--"
"In fact, I've been meaning to address your general lack of professionalism. Your attire and attitude toward the work we do here is a problem."
Garcia had fallen silent, and was merely listening with wide eyes. Meanwhile Derek had leapt to his feet and was slowly approaching with fire in his eyes, ready to defend his girl.
"As an integral part of this team, I expect you to behave appropriately for your role, along with everyone else. The lack of professionalism this whole team has been displaying lately needs to be corrected immediately. There is-- … Hehhht'sss-CHOO! tttsss'CHOOO! hnnxxt-CHOOOF!"
Shocked silence hung over the room at the unexpected interruption. Most of the team had never heard Hotch sneeze before.
Garcia was the first to break the spell. "Bless you, sir," she said quietly.
"Thank you," the chief mumbled in response, harshly rubbing his nose with a handkerchief. His face was visibly red, but whether from the violent sneezing or the embarrassment, it was hard to be sure.
"Are you ok, boss? You really aren't looking so good," the technical analyst said tentatively.
Hotch was silent for a moment as he continued to tend to his nose. Finally he sighed heavily. "I suppose I'm not feeling the best today."
"C'mere for a sec," Garcia said, stepping closer to him, her tone soothing as she immediately shifted into caretaker mode.
If Hotch noticed the change in how she addressed him, he made no indication, but allowed her to approach, looking at her expectantly.
She reached up a hand to place it against the tall man's forehead, then clicked her tongue, giving him a sympathetic look. "You're burning up, mister. No wonder you're miserable."
"Jack has been sick all week," Hotch sighed. "I suppose I was bound to catch it."
"You should go home, man," Derek interjected. "Like she said, you look terrible."
"I'm actually… feeling a little strange all of a sudden. I think maybe I should rest in my office for a bit before I drive." He was indeed looking a bit wobbly, and the team instinctively drew closer to catch him if he fell.
"Let's go sit you down then," Garcia said gently. The group began to walk their leader back to his office. As soon as he reached his desk, Hotch collapsed into his chair with a groan and closed his eyes.
"Let me get you some medicine," Emily said, hurrying away.
"Hotch, have you been getting any sleep?" JJ asked with concern, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Not as much as I should," he admitted, his head now resting on his hand.
"Then you should really go home and rest…." she said.
"I can rest just as well here," he said, raising his eyes to meet hers. Emily returned just then with a bottle of medication, so JJ was saved from answering, though she couldn't keep the worried look from her face.
Hotch got no better as he "rested", but he didn't worsen either. Soon it was clear he had no intention of going home, ill though he clearly was, or even lying down on the couch. He was pale and dizzy, yet he insisted on staying at his desk and continuing to try and work. He was interrupted constantly with sneezing fits though, and soon he was shivering as well, much as he tried desperately to hide it. The team hung around, wanting to be helpful, but Hotch didn't want to be helped. He wanted to pretend nothing had happened.
However, Garcia was having none of that. She disappeared shortly after Hotch had relocated to his office, but reappeared some time later carrying a steaming bowl, which she placed in front of their boss.
"What's this?" Hotch asked, glancing down with a sniffle.
"Soup, silly. It's what you give to someone you care about when they're not feeling well."
"That wasn't necessary," he said.
"Yes it was. You're all shivery and sniffly and sick."
Hotch was still for a moment, then he pulled the bowl toward himself almost hesitantly. Picking up the spoon, he took a mouthful, and then another, humming quietly in appreciation. "Thank you, Garcia," he said quietly. "This is exactly what I needed."
"You're very welcome," she said with a smile, turning to leave.
"Garcia?" he called out.
She turned expectantly.
"I'm sorry for what I said earlier. You're wonderful exactly the way you are, and I don't want you to change. Strauss was digging into me earlier about professionalism on this team, but I shouldn't have passed that on to you. I apologize for that, and it won't happen again. Keep up the good work."
A sunny grin split her face. "Thank you sir. All is very much forgiven. There's plenty more Garcia sparkle to go around."
He almost smiled too. "Thank you. You're free to go."
"I'll get back to work. You take care of that fever though. We need you in tip top shape. This show doesn't run without you."
"Will do. Thank you again. For everything."

intimidated | spencer reid
Spencer and reader interrogate an insub who likes to control men - your techniques are a little intense or Spencer Reid needs a hug.
Warnings: very intense, mean interrogation, mentions of violence
Pairing: Spencer x platonic!reader
Requests are open!
“She isn't going to crack.” You stood in front of the glass, staring at the unsub who sat at the table, looking far too happy.
“Anyone got any ideas?” Hotch stood behind you, looking over the file with Reid at his side.
“Well,” Reid started, but lost his confidence half way through.
“Go on,” you prodded, and he looked away from the paper to smile at you - you were sure you could melt right there and then.
“Well, uh. We know that she thrives from being able to dominate men, she likes to feel in control and powerful. So what if we made her feel inferior?”
“You mean introduce a female more dominating than her?” You looked towards Hotch to see if he agreed with Spencer idea and he was nodding.
“Y/N, you up for it with Reid?” Spencer was a no brainer, as the least intimidating man on the team, but you? You were sure that his first choice would be Emily.
“Me? Yeah, sure.”
“If you'd rather not,-”
“No, Hotch, I can do it,” You smiled at Spencer, “You head in first, I'll be in in a sec.” You watched him walk in, smiling gently at the woman who, unsurprisingly, smiled back and sat up a little straighter. She began speaking immediately.
When you walked in, the dynamic completely changed. You entered with your nose in a file, and Spencer stopped talking immediately, embracing the act and sinking in his chair out of fear.
“Jesus, Reid,” you scoffed as you took your seat, “are you so bad at interrogating that all you can do is flirt with her?”
It was working. The unsub already looked uncomfortable, eyes flitting between the two of you.
“I’m sorry.” He murmured, looking anywhere other than you.
“I’m going to keep this real simple, Lauren,” you walked behind, and leant down, getting incredibly close over he shoulder to whisper, “you're going to tell me where your keeping Jamie. I can stay here all night, so you might aswell tell me now.” You kept eye contact with Spencer, who is doing an incredibly good job of looking genuinely terrified of you.
He leaned towards her, “Please Lauren, just tell her so we can help him.” You laughed in her ear.
“Pathetic. I don't have a fucking clue why you got sent in here Reid! We all know you’re the worst profiler, what's the fucking point?” You slammed you fist on the table, and as he flinched you were sure you could see genuine fear in his eye, “cute.”
All the unsub did was snicker, so you figured it was time for your final tactic.
“Get out!” You shouted, “Reid, get out!” You knew you were probably going to far, and you made a plan to apologise to Reid as you were screaming in his face. You pulled his chair out and he almost scurried out of the room, understanding where you were going with this.
You pushed her up from the table, moving closer to the wall, making sure not to actually touch her to stop Hotch from coming running.
“He’s cute. Just like Jamie.” She smirked sadistically, trying to hit a nerve, but you could swear you saw her smile falter. Ah, good - fear.
“Was Jamie that scared? That quiet? So terrified of everything.” You laughed and she joined in.
“Yeah, I could even hear him crying through all the dirt.” She laughed, failing to realise what she’d just done.
“Thankyou for your cooperation.” You smiled, exciting the room as she banged on the walls.
“We need to check the forest near her home, she must've buried him alive,” You were searching for someone, despite talking to Hotch.
“Well done Y/N, the others are already on it. Take a breather,” Hotch patted your back, “He’s getting coffee.”
You smiled at him gratefully, walking to the bullpen where Spencer was taking an incredibly long time to pour the sugar in his coffee with his shaking hands.
“Hey,” you smiled, trying to announce your presence as to not scare him, “can I help?” He passed you the sugar packets and you tore them all at once, pouring the contents and throwing the packets in the bin. You passed him the cup and a stirrer.
“You know I didn't mean any of that, right?” He stared into the cup as if hypnotised, “Reid? Spence?” He put the cup down, and finally looked into your eyes, as if trying to check you weren't lying.
“I know you didn't, Y/N.” He wasn't very convincing. You reached up, pressing your palm against his chin.
“You, Spencer Reid, are the most incredible, intelligent, kind, loving human being any of us have ever met. You are a valuable member of this team, we couldn't function without you. We all love you.” He smiled, and you could swear there was a slight glint in his eyes. He pulled you in for a hug, hand cradling your head.
“I love you too.”

“I really pooped this quiz. What about you, (Y/N)?” Before the teenager is able to answer, another classmate comes up from behind the two. “She’ll get a 100, like always.”
“I-I don’t know. Question two and three really got me there, I’m just happy to pass it.” The little group of people around her groans.
“You always say that.” “And get a perfect score”, the first one adds, “Just stop to make us look bad, because we really do have to worry about passing this class. What do you have to worry about? Getting straight A’s like that. I really want your problems.”
(Y/N) just keeps it quiet. She stopped a long time ago trying to defend herself. ‘I am on my way to the BAU’, she shoots a text to her father and exits the school building. Today she doesn’t take the train. There are too many noises and all she wants is some peace.
The words of her classmates echoes through her head. Yes, she always has a good score and she intends to keep it up. She is just doing her best, right? Her problems have to be still valid, don’t they?
“Ahh, Wonder Baby. I thought you forgot about us and decided you are too cool to hang out with us”, Derek calls out after her as soon as he spots his godchild. “Nah, Uncle Derek. Nobody can be too cool to hang out with you. I just hadn’t had much time because of school work. But there are only two weeks left before spring break starts and the only thing I have to do now is waiting for my results.”
“Right, Spencer told us you are stressing yourself out about those. Your last quiz was today, wasn’t it? The one you dread the most apparently?” Emily joins the conversation. “Uh, I did. But don’t get your hopes up too high, I really don’t have a clue what I did there. The grade can range between passed to 100.”
“Naw, Smartypants, you say that every time. What are you afraid of? Telling us you are real smart? Don’t be humble, we work with your father. We know how to handle geniuses.” Derek isn’t exactly helping her with that. (Y/N) just turns red and tries to change the subject. “Uh, no. Another thing: Where is Dad?”
“Spencer went to pick some reports from the M.E. in D.C. who helped us on the last case. He should be back in half an hour. But Penelope wants to see you, something about trying new vegan cookies she baked last night”, JJ informs (Y/N) as she passes the group to drop some files off.
For the remainder of the day the teenager hides out in the lair, blocking any human reaction out with her earphones. She just can’t handle any more insensitive stuff like earlier. Later her father picks her up to go home together.
“So, Emily told me you didn’t do well on your test today? Do you wanna talk about it?” He asks, choosing his words carefully as he prepares dinner with his daughter sitting at the kitchen table and watching him. The doctor knows the pressure created by asking his daughter about school related topics.
“I don’t know. Everyone keeps telling me I’ll get a perfect score and I think it’s admirable that all of them turn out to be able to look into the future. How do they know better than me what I get?”
It’s months of pent up stress and anxiety finally making its way up to the surface. (Y/N) tries to fight the tears down. “I really don’t understand this. I get asked how I did, I tell them I don’t feel good about the test and then they talk over me every single time. And when I say I don’t know it, I say it to not get anybody’s hope up high. I don’t want to disappoint anybody.” Finally tears stream down the teenager’s cheeks.
“Oh Sweetheart”, Spencer makes his way over to her and engulfs his daughter in a hug. “Shhh, don’t cry. I know it’s incredibly difficult to live up to their expectations, but you don’t need to. You don’t need to impress them, because their opinion doesn’t matter. Neither your classmate’s, your teacher’s nor the team’s. Not even mine should be important to you. Also, it doesn’t matter what you do, I’ll always be so proud of you, words can’t even describe it. There is literally nothing you can disappoint me with. You pushed and still push through so much crap and still you don’t fail to amaze me. You can never fail to amaze me. You can fail any class and become a professional card counter, I’ll still be proud to be your father. Please don’t cry over something you shouldn’t care about.”
They remain like this for several minutes, grasping each other until (Y/N)’s tears eventually die down. “I just want to be something more than just the smart girl with the good grades. I don’t want to feel like a two dimensional side character in a show, only there to provide the main characters with knowledge. I don’t want to be Velma, River Song, Frozone or Domino from Deadpool 2. I don’t want to be overlooked like this anymore.”Finally talking about her deepest insecurities lets her feel like a weight is lifted off her shoulders.
“And you are so much more”, Spencer encounters, “Some people just choose to ignore it, because you are so much more than their small brain with a low capacity is able to comprehend. They just pick the trait they understand the easiest. But never stop being you. Stay loud, stay complicated and, if you want to stay, uncomfortable for them. The right people will take the time and effort to get to know the real you, not just a copy others think you are. I know, it takes a great amount of patience to wait for them, but it’s worth it in the end. You hear me?”
(Y/N) looks up at her father, a small smile forming on her face. He would walk to the end of the world if it means to see it. “I hear you, Dad. Thank you so much.”
This night the teenager doesn’t get a lot of sleep. There are many thoughts that want to be, well, thought through. Still she wakes up and goes to school with a new amount of confidence.
This sadly only lasts until her first period. The teacher, one who is typically known for grading student’s work pretty fast, gives back yesterday’s quizzes. A small tumoult ensues as everyone compares their scores with each other.
(Y/N)’s anxiety rises into the unmeasurable until her teacher puts down her worksheet without a word. Confused she looks at the B- sitting at the dotted line, where the grade is supposed to be.
Now, a B- isn’t bad or anything, but she spots several answers her teacher didn’t tick as right or wrong. He must have oversaw them. Deciding to ask him about it after class, she puts it away and focuses on the material he is teaching.
So there she is, waiting for other classmates asking their questions regarding the quiz until it’s her turn. Meanwhile her lab partner Masey comes up to the teenager. “And, how did you do?”
“Uh, I got a B- bu-” “Oh my god, I’m better than the class nerd. I’m better than The Brain. Casey, I got a higher score than (Y/N)! I think you, too! Wow, I didn’t know I’m that smart. But no worries, (Y/N). I can explain this unit to you later, so you can do better next time.” This is the final straw for her.
“Hold on a sec, Masey. I’ll get that A, because Mr Harries didn’t see some of my answers. And just for your information: I didn’t ask you about your grade last time, because I knew you would poop that one after trying to explain it to you for four times while I got another A. Like every single time until now. Stop trying to appear cleverer than you are, it doesn’t suit you as much as these pants don't, because they are at least two sizes too small.”
The line finally moves up and (Y/N) is able to show Mr Harries his mistakes. He apologizes profusely, admitting that he maybe was too tired to grade these last quizzes and rewrite the B- to an A.
With her head held high she walks past her classmates, a content smile on her face.
It may be a long road to accept that you can’t be perfect and your grades don’t have to be, but forget this for a second and appreciate the feeling you get proving someone wrong like this.

A Little Miscommunication [Lindsey Horan x Reader]
Tumblr media
A/N: this wasn’t necessarily requested but it’s dedicated to @sauceysonny hope this gives you the lindsey content you were looking for ;)
Lindsey had been calling and texting you for the past ten minutes, wondering where you were. The two of you were supposed to meet in her room for your lunch date, but you were nowhere to be found.
You and Lindsey started dating a couple of months after you got traded to the Thorns. You both had been dancing around your feelings, until Emily convinced Lindsey to woman up and ask you out. She took you out to dinner and then ice cream after, as you spent hours talking and getting to know each other better. Although your relationship was fairly new, only dating for about two months, you knew that Lindsey was the love of your life, and she had a feeling as well.
Deciding to go look for you, Lindsey made her way towards your hotel room. She knocked on the door only to be greeted by your roommate and her best friend, Emily Sonnett.
“What’s up, Linessi?”
“Uh, I’m looking for (Y/N).”
“What, can’t keep track of your girlfriend.” Emily teases, causing your girlfriend to roll her eyes. “I think she might be in Press’s room.”
“Thanks, Em.” Lindsey nods, heading towards Christen and Tobin’s room. As she goes to knock, she can hear you giggling at something the older forward had said, and she can’t help but feel a pit of jealousy turn in her stomach.
“I’ll get it.” Your voice muffled by the door. “Oh, hey, babe. What’s up?”
“We were supposed to meet to go on our lunch date.” Lindsey frowns, holding up her phone to show you the time. Your eyes widen, as you cover your mouth.
“I am so sorry, Linds. I completely forgot. Give me on sec, and we can go.” You apologize, as you slip on your shoes and grab your phone. “See you later, Chris.” You call back to the woman, closing the door.
“You’ve been spending a lot of time with Christen.” Lindsey observes.
“Lindsey Horan, are you jealous?” You tease, a glint in your eye.
“No!” She scoffs.
“Sureeee.”
“I’m not.” Lindsey insists.
“Good. Because you should’t be. I only like you.” You lean in to kiss her cheek. “Now, let’s go get lunch. I’m dying to try their quinoa salad.”
—————
The next day, as the team makes their way onto the bus to head to training, Lindsey is waiting for you to join her at the back, where you normally sit. Much to her disappointment, she sees you enter the bus, laughing along side Christen, and you slide into the seat next to her.
“Looks like you’re stuck with me, kid.” Tobin smiles, plopping down in your usual spot.
“Why aren’t you sitting with Chris?” Lindsey tries to hide her disappointment, but Tobin can easily see through the midfielder.
“She and (Y/N) wanted to spend some time together and talk about some stuff.” The older woman explains, shrugging.
“Oh.” Lindsey sighs.
Tobin lets out a small laugh. “What, you don’t wanna sit with me?”
“No! That’s not it at all.” The blonde insists.
“Relax, Linds. I’m just playing.”
Lindsey gives her mentor a tight smile, before slipping in her headphones, deciding to listen to music for the rest of the ride.
—————
Back at the hotel, after training and after everyone had showered, Lindsey shoots you a text.
Linds
Hey, you wanna grab some dinner? I found a good Thai place in town.
(Y/N/N)
Sorry, babe :/ I’m already getting dinner with Chris.
But I did ask Mal if she could switch with Em tonight, and she said yes!
Linds
Aw, okay.
Have fun. I’ll see you later.
(Y/N/N)
😘
Lindsey sighs and shuts her phone off. She couldn’t help but wonder if there was something going on between you and Christen. You had been spending a lot of time with the other woman, and Lindsey couldn’t help but feel neglected.
But there couldn’t be anything going on right? You wouldn’t do that to her. And what about Tobin? There was no way.
Despite those rational thoughts, your girlfriend couldn’t shake the unwavering feeling building up in her chest. Feeling sorry for herself, Lindsey ordered some room service and put on a movie, deciding to have a night in for herself.
After one and a half rom coms and two slices of pizza, which Dawn would not condone, Lindsey hears you slip through the door.
“Hey babe.” You smile at your girlfriend, who’s lounging in a pair of Thorns sweatpants and a Stanford t-shirt she’d stolen from you.
“Hey. How was your dinner?”
“Oh my gosh. It was delicious. We went to this Mexican place, and their tostada salad was so good.” You gush, taking off your jacket and throwing your phone onto the bed.
“You do love your Mexican food.” Lindsey fondly smiles.
“You’re right. I do. Hey, I was gonna jump in the shower really quickly. Did you need the bathroom?” You ask, already stripping off your clothes.
Lindsey just shakes her head. “No, go for it.”
As the water starts running and you get into the shower, Lindsey hears your phone ping, a text from Christen appearing on the screen. Against her better knowledge, Lindsey peeks over to read the text.
Chris
Thanks for dinner! Love you ❤️
Lindsey swallowed the knot forming in her throat. Hearing the water stop, she leans back over to her side of the bed and continues to watch the movie. After a couple more minutes, you come out of the bathroom, still drying your hair.
“What movie are you watching, babe?” You ask.
“Legally Blonde.” Lindsey mumbles.
You frown at your girlfriend’s monotone response. Climbing into bed, you snuggle next to her. “Hey, you alright?”
She nods and hums.
“It’s just you’ve been quiet all day and a little distant.”
Lindsey internally scoffs and stops herself from rolling her eyes. “How could you have noticed? We barely spent anytime together.” She mutters under her breath.
But being so close to her, you catch what your girlfriend had said. Picking your head up from your chest, you look at your girlfriend. “What’d you say?”
“I said that we’ve barely spent any time together today, so I’m surprised you paid attention to me.” Lindsey repeats, annoyance seeping through her voice.
“Are you mad at me?” You raise your eyebrows.
“Oh, so now you notice?” Lindsey snorts sarcastically.
“Linds, what’s going on? Talk to me.” You plead, honestly confused at this point.
“Nothing. Everything’s fine.”
You scoff at your girlfriend’s behavior. “You know, I asked Em to switch with Mal so that we could spend a nice night together, but if you’re gonna act like this, I’m gonna go back to my room.” You tell her, already sliding out of the bed.
Lindsey softens, cursing herself, as she sees you sliding on your shoes. “No, (Y/N), don’t go. I’m sorry.”
Putting your hoodie on, you turn back to your girlfriend. “Lindsey, clearly something is on your mind, and you’re upset about something I did. I’m not going to sit here all night and pry it out of you, so if you have something to say, I’m listening.”
She looks down at her hands, ashamed to say anything at this point.
“Ok, well I’m gonna go back to my room. Goodnight, Linds.” You sigh with disappointed.
“G’night, (Y/N/N).” Lindsey whispers, as she watches you leave and the door close.
—————
At breakfast the next morning, Tobin sits down in the seat across from Lindsey and watches her.
“What?” The blonde midfielder looks up from her food.
“What happened last night?” Tobin accuses, as Lindsey shrinks under the older forward’s glare.
“Uhhh, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Really? You don’t know anything about (Y/N) showing up at our hotel door last night in tears, rambling on about some fight the two of you had?” Tobin raises her eyebrow, daring Lindsey to deny it again.
“Oh. Well you see, it was’t really a fight, more like I wouldn’t really open up to her.” She mumbles, avoiding the other woman’s eyes.
“Linds, what’s going on? (Y/N) told us how you’ve been really short with her and sort of giving her the cold shoulder.”
Lindsey wants to scream, feeling as if everyone was blaming her. Couldn’t they see what she was seeing?
“I’m worried that (Y/N) might be cheating on me.” She breaths out.
“What?!” Tobin’s eyes widen, and her jaw drops.
“She’s been spending all her time with Christen, and they giggle and whisper to each other, not even trying to hide it. Oh my gosh, how could they do this to us?” Lindsey cries, rubbing her forehead.
Tobin bites back a smile. Seeing the older woman grinning, Lindsey tilts her head.
“Why are you smiling? Aren’t you upset Christen might be cheating on you?”
“Lindsey, I think you’re misunderstanding the situation.”
Your girlfriend shakes her head. “No, I don’t think so. I mean all the signs are there. What else could it be? And I don’t know what—”
“Lindsey!” Tobin interrupts the midfielders small ramble. “I think you need to talk to (Y/N).”
Lindsey closes her mouth, and nods. “Yeah, yeah, okay, you’re right.”
Finishing her breakfast, Lindsey clears her plate and makes her way over to where you’re sitting with Emily and Mal.
“Hey, (Y/N), can we talk?” She nervously scratches the back of her neck.
“Yeah, sure.” You smile, getting up from your chair, the two of you making your way into the hallway.
“So, you wanna tell me what’s going on in you head?” You softly ask.
Lindsey chews her lip nervously before answering. “Are you cheating on me?”
“What?” You raise your eyebrows, as your eyes widen. “Why on earth would you think that?”
“It’s just— you’ve been spending like all your time with Christen, and you guys are always texting or laughing about something. I just thought maybe…”
“You think I’m cheating on you with Christen?” You clarify.
Lindsey sheepishly nods, and you break out into a fit of laughter.
“What’s so funny? Tobin laughed too.” Your girlfriend frowns, not seeing the humor in the situation.
“Babe,” you regain your composure, “the idea of me and Christen together is just gross.”
The blonde stares blankly at you, waiting for you to continue.
“Linds, Christen’s my sister. Well, step-sister technically, but still.” You explain.
Lindsey feels her cheek flush with embarrassment, as she brings her hands up to cover her face. “Oh my gosh, I’m so stupid.” She grumbles into her hands.
“No, you’re not.” You gently pull your girlfriends hands away from her face, taking them in yours. “I should’ve told you. It’s just, as you know, Chris and I are really private people. Half the team doesn’t even know.”
“I’m sorry I accused you of cheating.” Lindsey apologizes, locking eyes with you.
“It’s okay. It was a misunderstanding.” You bring her hand up to your mouth, kissing her palm. “But I hope you know that I would never cheat on you, okay? I only love you.”
Lindsey perks up at that, a smile breaking out onto her face. “Did you just say what I think you said?”
You beam, your eyes full of love. “I love you, Lindsey Horan.”
She pulls you into a searing kiss. Once air becomes necessary, you lean your foreheads against each other.
“I love you too, (Y/N) (Y/L/N).” Lindsey whispers. “Now and forever."

Undercover - Chapter 5
Chapter Selection
It was so hot, I was begging for it. His lips grazing mine I lunged forward and captured his lips.
My tongue sliding into his mouth. He kissed back only to pull away when I was about to get out from his grasp.
He brought me up making me straddle his lap. His budge wanting to be released. My core was directly over him; I was practically dripping. I made slow movements not wanting him to notice.
I slowly grinded onto him making him groan; he opened his eyes and flipped me over. He was hovering over me while holding my hands above my head.
"Stay here", he got up walked over to his bag and pulled out a pair of handcuffs.
Latching my hands onto the headboard. His fingers went into the waistband on my underwear and he pulled them down with his teeth, taking his time.
He came back up and peppered kisses along my jaw an down my neck to my breasts. He put his mouth around my nipple, flicking his tongue over it.
I arched my back and hissed through my teeth, "Fuck." His hand making its way down to my pussy.
Teasing me his finger ghosted over my center; He run his finger up my slit. I moaned his name loudly, his hand going straight over my mouth.
"Baby if you want me to keep going you need to be quiet, can you do that for me."
"Yes, sir." Returning to his movements, slipping on finger into me. "Baby you're so wet."
I buck my hips and pleaded for him to keep going. He massaged my walls finding my g-spot and going continuously over it.
His kisses moving down my stomach till I felt his breath directly over my core. I hummed, "Baby please."
His tongue was on my clit but he didn't move it. I bucked my hips to urge him and he took it. Crying out, "Aaron please take the cuffs off, I wanna touch you."
Aaron looked up at me and agreed taking off the cuffs, "You have to ask permission to touch me." With that he returned to what he was doing.
His fingers pumping in and out when my stomach started to tighten.
My orgasm coming closer and closer as went down on me. "Aaron I-", I couldn't speak but he knew I was close. Just as I was about to cum his stopped.
"Why'd you stop", I wined. He looked up at me; his eyes were dark with lust and something else.
"I'm not done with you yet." He mumbled
"Get on your knees." He ordered and I was quick to obey. Getting on my knees I untied his pajamas pulling them down and throwing them across the room; then I removed his boxers.
His cock was twitching with just my breath on it. "Open", he ordered again. He shoved his cock in my mouth. Grabbing my hair to make the movements himself.
I was just something to get him off but I wasn't mad at it. The taste of his pre cum spread throughout my mouth urging me to do the work myself.
I grabbed his dick and pumped what I couldn't fit. He looked down at me and I met his gaze as I took all of him.
I relaxed my throat taking it; I gaged around him making him pulse in my mouth. He was close and right when he was about to cum I stopped and got up and faced him.
"If I can't cum then you can't either." He didn't like that answer. Leaning in closer, "You want me fuck you already."
I didn't answer I jumped onto him. My legs wrapping around him; my hand guiding his cock into my pussy with ease.
His hands ran up and down my back making small stratches as he slammed into me, but he stopped.
"I want you to see yourself." He walked us over to the mirror and I saw how flushed I looked. I got off of him and he pinned me to the desk in front of the mirror, "I want you to watch."
He slammed back into me, my hands not supporting my weight; I hit the cold desk sending a shock through my body. His dick hitting all the right places at a new angle.
I watched when he threw his head back, hands gripping my hips leaving bruises behind. He mumbled a number of curses and moans. I watched as my eyes dilated and sweat started to form on my face.
I rested my head on the desk trying to bring myself back up; when wrapped his hand in my hair making me look up. His rugged breath felt like fire on my skin when he knelt down lining kisses on my back; still thrusting into me
My edge started to build again when I clenched around him; letting out a loud moan. His hand went underneath me rubbing circles on my swollen clit.
"Cum for me little girl", his words pushing me further; my orgasm coursing through my body, feeling it from top to bottom.
He didn't stop and I went limp. The overstimulation becoming too much. "Please I can-", he slowed down. "Come on little girl one more, you can do it", he used a soft but aggressive voice. He sped up return to his pace.
My legs were shaking while the rest of my body was twitching. I clenched around him to make him finish faster.
The thrusts becoming sloppy when I felt him pulse inside me and release. A second wave running through.
Aaron rested his head on my back as he praised me. "Good girl", he pulled out and we both winced. "Baby...can you help me", I asked Aaron and he laughed. "Are you okay", he asked as we walked to the bathroom. He put me on the toilet and I peed.
I hummed while he cleaned me up; grabbing a rag and wiping between my legs. He helped me to the bed, "You still need my help?" I said no even though I didn't mean it.
I had what felt like jolts of electricity moving through my legs every step I took.
I just laid down; he was next to me, his head on mine whispering sweet nothings into my ear. His breath on my neck was relaxing.
I could've stayed there forever.
I was Curled up in his arms. His fingers running up and down my arm writing his name. Closing my eyes I smiled at his words. I nipped at his chest, "Goodnight."
"Goodnight princess."
Team POV
Morgan- Morgan was awoken by the sounds of screaming. He jolted up and looked around, the sound coming from the room down the halls. "Aa-", was yelled from the room. He laughed to himself knowing that it wasn't anything serious just a couple being a little too loud.
What he didn't know was that his boss was fucking his coworker into oblivion. He went back to sleep trying to block out the sound of the happy couple.
JJ and Emily- They were interrupted with the same yelling. They were doing there own thing; trying to block out the sounds they continued but it wasn't a use. JJ sighed and moved off of Emily. "Em let's just go to bed."
Emily wasn't excited about it but agreed, "Fine but if I find out who those people are i's fucking punching them.
JJ giggled and laid down with Emily by her side an dithery went to sleep.
Rossi- Dave was woken up with he phone ringing. He rolled over and answered, "Rossi."
The person on the other line had tears running down their face, they sounded like they'd been crying for hours. "Ros- Rossi."
Rossi sat up, "Reid what is it." Reid couldn't form words, his voice kept breaking up. "I was seeing my mom an- she uh she passed before I got to say goodbye."
Rossi didn't know what to say to comfort him, "Oh my god. I'm so sorry."
"I tried to call Hotch to tell him I was gonna take a longer leave but he didn't answer. Can you tell him for me." Spencer ended the call leaving Rossi in a state of shock and sadness.
____________________
Y/n POV
I was woken when the smell of pancakes filled my nose. I opened my eyes and Aaron was sitting at the table.
Trying to make my way over to him, I take one step and I stumble. He heard and he turned around jogging over to me.
"Baby are you okay." He kneeled down holding onto my upper arm helping me stand.
"Yeah, lets just say you defiantly did some damage last night." We both laughed at the comment and he helped me to the table. He gave me a box, when I opened it there were peanut butter pancakes; my favorite.
"Thank you." He gave me a smile an we ate.
When we were done we started taking a shower getting ready for work.
One of our phones were going off; it was Aarons. After finishing he called the number back.
"Aaron, Spencer called me last night. He told me he was gonna be gone longer than expected, his mom passed away last night."
I watched as Aarons face dropped I mouthed, "What is it." He held up his finger telling me to wait a sec.
He hung up the phone then spoke. "Reids mom passed, he's gonna be gone longer then we thought." I felt my heart ache for him.
He defiantly didn't need the added stress. Especially with his relapse. "We can't do anything for him until we get back."
I walked into my room closing the door behind me; when I was about to leave the hotel room. I met with Morgan about to knock. "Hey"
"Hey yourself mama, do you know if Hotch is still in his room." I walked down the hallway.
"Yeah his is. I think he's almost done. I'll meet you guys at the station." With that I left Morgan, he was knocking on Hotchs door.
I decided to get everyone some coffee. when I got to the station everyone was already there. I handed the drinks out.
"Okay so lets say this unsub is protecting the child. He has to know what goes on at home and if they are even being abused", JJ says.
I continue, "So it they have to work at a school or hospital." Everyone agreed with me and Aaron gave me a quick glace and smile.
Emily starts, "A school consoler, but wouldn't they be required by the school to report abuse or suspected abuse." Emily was right the only thing that made sense was a doctor a nurse.
Someone that didn't need to report anything because all they saw were broken bone and they don't ask many questions.
Morgan calls Garcia, "Hey sweetness, did any of the victims go to the same hospital?"
She speed types, "Hey back at you and two went to the same one but the other 3 went to separate hospitals." Hotch picks it up, "Were there any doctors or nurses that did multiple rotations at different hospitals."
"Yes sir there are 10 names all working at the hospitals were the victims were treated."
"Remove the names that aren't parents." Hotch gets up from his seat. "There are.....three."
"Did they treat the victims children?", I ask. "No but they were all working around the same time they arrived there. You don't have to ask I already sent the names and addresses to your phones."
"Thanks baby girl." Morgan hangs up the phone. "Ok Emily and Rossi you take Jason. Morgan and JJ you go to Smiths. Y/n and I will to go Graces, let's go." Hotch nods and we all head out for the SUVs going to the addresses.
_________________
Hotch and I are in the SUV driving over to Graces. When we arrive, there are cops waiting for us. We don't know if she was in there or not, the cops haven't reported any movement.
Hotch stops the car stepping out with his vest on. I put mine on in the car before we approach the door.
With the police behind us, Hotch is in front, "FBI". He kicks the door in, holy shit that was hot; I think to myself. I go in after he does.
I got my gun out and aim it up right; I snap around the corner to see and empty living room. "Clear!", I yell and I hear Hotch and the other cops saying the same thing.
I pulled out my phone and called Morgan, "You guys have anything?" I wasn't even sure if it was any of these people. I had my doubts; I figured another body would drop before we could get close to catching them.
Its cases like these that make me feel like it's too easy, that something bad was going to happen.
Morgan responded, "I patched Rossi and Emily, she's here; in the house. Hotch she has a hostage."
"We're on our way." I looked at him as we walk back to the car. "Hotch I didn't think this unsub was even willing to take a hostage."
He got into the drivers seat. "Maybe she feels that she's still doing the child a favor, in the end she 'saved' the kid from their mom."
I nodded and looked at the road ahead of us.
It took about 10mins to get to the Smith house. Cop cars and officers were surrounding the area. Morgan standing outside making some communication on a phone.
The snipers didn't have a clear shot. Someone was going to have to go in.
I turned to Hotch. "I'm going in." He didn't even look at me. I pulled him aside. "Hotch I can do this. You go in through the front and face her establish a trust. I can enter through the back door....and If I have a shot and there doesn't seem to be a way out...then I'll take it."
I could practically see the gears turning in his head. He didn't wanna put me in harms way but at the end of the day I was able to take care of myself, and he knew that.
"Okay." He took off his gun and holster handing it to Morgan as he walked to the front door.
Morgan calling the unsub before hand to let her know we were coming inside to 'help'.
I hear Hotch enter opening and closing the door behind him. I sneak in through an open window in the bathroom slowly making my way down the hallway. I hear Hotch talking to the unsub.
"Smith we can help the child ok", he has his hands by his sides. The unsub pointing the gun to him with the Mom his her arms holding her by her neck in a choke hold.
"Mothers aren't supposed to hurt their babies....she needs to pay." The unsub says in anger and sadness. she clearly had been a victim of abuse herself.
Hotch reassures her, "She will pay...ok, we'll take her she'll go to prison and loose custody." His voice becoming uneasy.
She raises the gun to the hostages head. "That's not good enough." There were tears steaming down her face.
I come put from behind the corner; turning into the room. My voice is calm, "Put it down, we'll take her you can watch her go to prison. Why kill her? Then she wouldn't be a to live with knowing she hurt her child. If you kill her, her suffering will end and she doesn't live with the consequences."
The unsub moves the gun pointing it down, I withdraw my weapon putting it into my holster. "You promise she will" I reassure her.
"I promise", I look her in her eye and she pushes the Mom towards Hotch. He grabs her and runs out the house send in the cops while I unarm her.
On the jet Rossi and Hotch told Morgan, JJ, and Emily about Reid and his situation; that they need to be careful around him, he was fragile.
When they ended the conversation we still and a good five hours till we got home. Everyone was asleep except me.
I look around and see Hotch in the corner of the jet on the couch. The team was huddled up in front.
I walked over to him; his head was leaning up against the wall. He was in an upright position so I shook him awake.
He opened his eyes a bit and he said in a soft voice, "What is it baby."
"I'm tired, their sleeping so I figured." He smirked and moved his leg so I could lay in between. My head against his chest, his head on mine.
My arms curled up against his body. His hands wrapping around me holding me close to him.

“I’m sorry, What?”~ USWNT x Baby Reader
Tumblr media
Prompt: Team finds out Baby R has a girlfriend.
Requested by: @rainbowpants27
I know you requested this ages ago, sorry about the wait!
No ones PRO//
The players on the USWNT were some of the best in the world, there was no doubt about that. On the field they were a force to be reckon with and when doing interviews or press conferences they made sure to maintain a certain degree of professionalism. Off the field and away from flashing cameras and microphones was a different story…
Their fanbase often knows just how crazy they can be and they often exhibit “crackhead” behavior. The age range of the team is from 36 to the youngest at 17. When it comes to their young teammates they get extremely protective and sometimes a little nosy. One such example of this was the day they found out their youngest teammate Y/N L/N had a girlfriend that she hid from them for an entire year.
Alyssa PRO//
I was heading down to the bus because we had practice soon and they told all of us to start boarding. When I got there I noticed that almost everyone was there, everyone except the youngest Y/N.
“Hey, guys?”
“Yeah Lys?”
“Where’s Y/N?”
Everyone stopped talking and began looking around for her but when they realized she was no where to be found they started to worry.
“Has anyone seen her today?”
“Yeah, just before I left our room.” Abby said
“Was she okay when you left?” Tierna asked worriedly
“Yeah, she said she’d be down in a sec and to not wait for her.”
“How long ago was that?”
“10 minutes?”
“We have to leave in 5, I’m going to look for her.” I said throwing my stuff on the bus, getting the card to her room and sprinting back into the hotel.
I made it to the floor our rooms were on and used the key card Abby had given me to open the door. When I did I heard Y/N talking quietly to someone, she didn’t seem to know I was there but what I heard her say next had me extremely worried.
“No, I can’t tell the team.”
The was a pause before she spoke again.
“Because they’ll freak out and get all protective.”
Another even longer pause.
“I just… I can’t. I- ”
“Y/N?” I decided to interrupt and make my presence known.
She nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard me and she looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
“I gotta go, sorry!” She rushed out before quickly hanging up on the other person.
“Hey Alyssa! What’s up?”
“I just came up here to see if you were okay since we have to leave in 5 minutes and Abby said you told her you’d be down over 10 minutes ago.”
“Oh, yeah sorry about that. I just had to make a quick phone call.”
“To who?” I asked as we started running to the elevators to get back down to the bus.
“Just a friend.” She said a little too quickly
I Just nodded in acknowledgement as we made it down just in time and got on the bus.
“Jesus, there you guys are. What took so long? We almost left without you.” Alex said from her seat next to Kelley.
“Just got caught up on the phone.” Y/N replied
I could tell she was nervous and so could everyone else, she was avoiding eye contact and fidgeting quite a lot.
“Everything okay?” Christen asked concerned
“Huh? Oh, yeah. Everything is fine.”
We all let it go after that but I knew everyone was still sending worried glances her way. I needed to tell the others about the conversation I overheard and we would need to find a way to get her to tell us what was going on. Normally I would stay out of things and mind my business but when it concerned our youngest player, someone who I considered a little sister to me those rules were null and void. I knew the rest of the team felt the same, the older players even more so.
We got to the practice facility after a short ride and after getting off and going to the locker room to deposit my stuff I went out onto the field and joined the circle of players that had gathered in the middle.
“Are you guys worried about Y/N too or is that just me?” Abby asked
Everyone said that they too were worried and began talking about what could possibly be going on, some imagining some really bad scenarios and others reminding everyone that she was a nervous kid and that whatever it was, was probably not as bad as they were thinking. I had stayed quiet for the most part but finally decided to tell everyone what I heard earlier.
“Guys wait. Okay so before I tell you what I am going to, I need everyone to take a deep breath and let me finish talking before asking questions, okay?”
They all agreed and then I told them about what I overheard her say on the phone.
“And you’re sure she said “I can’t tell the team.”?” Mal asked
“Yes positive.”
“And you absolutely sure she said we’d “Freak out. And get all protective?” She said those exact words?” Alex asked
“Yes, guys I swear that’s word for word what she said to whoever was on the other line.”
“Well now I’m even more concerned.” Tobin said
We all knew that sometimes when something bad was happening or she was in trouble at school she didn’t tell us right away. Her home life wasn’t the greatest so our reasons for concern that she was keeping something from us were understandable.
“Okay, everyone listen up.” Carli said, using her “Captain voice”
“I know you’re all worried, and so am I but we have to let her come to us and we can not… I repeat can. Not. Jump to conclusions. Understood?”
We all agreed and went about our usual practice routines. Y/N emerged for the locker room shortly after Carli finished talking and joined the circle on the field.
“What did I miss, guys?” She said completely oblivious to what we had been talking about.
“Not much kid, just asking anyone if they had seen my shin guards.” Carli said, ruffling her hair.
“Come on, kid, come do some passing drills with me.” Alex said whisking her away.
We continued on through practice and the younger players were goofing around with Y/N when given the chance, she seemed more at ease than before. When we finished and headed back to the hotel we all decided to do a game night in Abby and Y/N’s room.
After much convincing Vlatko and the other coaching staff agreed to let us order pizza and eat other junk foods. “but this counts as your cheat day for this week.” He told us and we agreed that, that was a fair sacrifice to make. We ordered a bunch of pizzas and sent Megan, Becky and Allie on a snack run. When they returned that brought with them everyones favorites, ranging from candy, chocolate and ice cream to different kinds. Of chips and cookies. The hotel staff probably thought we were having a party and regret letting 23 teenagers/childlike adults into their hotel.
We played all of the stereotypical party games such as spin the bottle, truth or dare, never have I ever and so on. We also split into different groups to play cards or board games, making bets on who would win or lose the most and some also took to playing Mario kart and other games on the Nintendo Switch Tobin brought along. All in all it was pretty fun night but I could help but still worry and wonder about Y/N. I noticed that while she was having a lot of fun, she was also spending a significant amount of time looking at her phone, sometimes she would get this really big cheesy grin on her face and other times she would look slightly worried or anxious, it was slightly confusing and I could tell Ali and Ashlyn had caught onto it too.
Things took a turn however when Lindsey noticed Y/N lost in her phone and she snatched it out of her hand.
“Hey! Give that back!”
“Who are you talking to that’s more important than us?”
“No one. Just give me back my phone.”
“No, don’t think I will.” She said while laughing, getting up to run away.
“Lindsey! Give it back!”
Y/N got up and jumped on her back trying to wrestle it out of her hands. At first we thought it was funny but when we saw that Y/N was actually upset we started to try to get them to break it up.
“Guys, stop it!”
“Then tell Lindsey to give me back my phone!”
“I just wanna know who you’re talking to!”
“None of your fucking business Horan!”
Becky, myself, Julie and Tobin all stood in between them as Alex, Christen, Mal and Rose pulled Y/N away and Crystal, Emily, Jessica, and Megan did the same for Lindsey. Everyone else just stood and waited.
“Everyone needs to settle down. Now.” Carli said leaving no room for anyone to argue.
“Okay but she fucking- ”
“Hey watch your mouth.” Alex chided
“No! She took my phone and I want it back.”
“Y/N, calm down. Take a deep breath.” Christen said
She and the others were still holding Y/N back, Alex had a firm grip on her waist so she couldn’t go anywhere and everyone else stood in front of her, trying to block her from seeing Lindsey. Jessica and that group were doing the same on the other side of the room.
“Lindsey, give her back her phone.” I said sternly
“Why? You were the one who told us about her weird phone call and you know she’s been being weird and secretive all day.”
“What are you talking about?” Y/N asked
“Oh, so you weren’t having some super secret phone call earlier with someone?”
“I mean… I wouldn’t say it was “super secretive.” How much of that did you hear Lys?”
“Just the part where you said you “can’t tell the team.” And that we’d “Freak out and get all protective.”
A look of realization took over her face and she slowly pushed her way out of Alex’s grip and passed the group of people to get to Lindsey.
“Please give me my phone. I’ll tell you guys the truth.” She said
Lindsey complied and when Y/N had her phone again she took a deep breath and said
“Okay now before I go any further I want you all to know that I am okay and nothing bad is going on. I promise. I also would appreciate if you waited to ask you questions until after I’m finished talking.”
We all nodded in agreement and she began ti tell us what that phone call was really about.
“Okay, I have a girlfriend. Now you guys didn’t know about it because I hid it from everyone except my really close friend back home and some of my cousins. We’ve been dating for the past year and I said I couldn’t tell you guys because I know you’ll go crazy and want to have the talk with her.”
There was a beat of silence before Kelley was the first to speak.
“I’m sorry, what?”
“I have a girlfriend.” she repeated
“Our baby has a girlfriend! Holy shit!”
After her outburst several other people began talking over each other.
“No way! Dude what the heck?”
“How did you guys meet?”
“Did you ever plan to tell us?!”
“Can we see pictures?”
Y/N PRO//
“Okay, Okay! Guys, take it easy. Let her breath.” Alex said coming up to hug me from behind.
“To answer you questions, Yes it’s true. We meet at one of my school soccer games, yes I was planning to tell you eventually and yes you can see pictures.”
“You know, you don’t have to let us in on your relationship just yet. If you’re not ready that’s okay.” Ashyln said
“No, it’s okay. I was talking to my girlfriend today and she was wanting me to finally tell you guys and I knew she was right but I wasn’t sure how and I was nervous because of that. But I’m okay now.”
“Only if you’re sure.”
“I am.”
I ended up telling them everything from the day we met, to how long it took for us to start dating, who kissed who first and everything in between. I felt relieved that they now knew about my relationship and was glad not to have to hide it anymore.
“Can we get a name?” Sonnett asked
“Yeah, who is this lucky lady?” Mal joined in, everyone else following
“Her name is Y/GF/N.”
“Oooo. I love her already.” Julie said giggling.
“The real important question is... how is she in bed?”
“Okay, nope! absolutely not!” Ali said slapping Sonnett upside the head
“What?! Curious minds would like to know.”
“For both your guy’s sake, you better tell me you aren’t having sex yet.” Alex said sternly
I was beet red now and the younger players were laughing at me and teasing me while the older ones looked ready to kill.
“No, no we haven’t had sex.”
Several of them let out big sighs of relief while the others looked disappointed.
“Well, when you do, I want an in detail account of everything.” Sonnet said, dodging another head slap, this time from Julie
“Emily!”
“What’s the big deal?”
“The big deal is, she’s far too young for that.” Alex said pulling me into her and covering my head
“I’m turning 18 next month!” I said indignantly
“Doesn’t matter, you’re still a baby.”
“Well once she’s 18 she’s, technically...”
“No.” All the veterans of the team said at the same time.
“Sorry kid, guess you’ll be a virgin for your whole life.”
“Damn right she will.” Julie said.
“Guyssss” I whined.
“Aw, we’re only kidding kiddo. You’ll only have to a virgin until you’re 30.” Ali said laughing when I pouted at her.
We decided to send a group selfie to her to tell her that the team knew and the text I sent along with it read “Surprise! You have 22 “moms” and sisters dying to meet you! They love you already!”
She responded quickly by saying
“I’ll prepare myself for the talk then haha. Tell them I can’t wait and I hope we meet soon! I love you!”
I spent the rest of the night showing the girls our best (and worst) pictures together, silly videos we took and just overall gushing about my lady. I was a little worried they would ambush her when they met her in person but I also knew that they were all super happy for me and excited to meet the girl I love.

A.N.: This chapter has a very dark and heavy story line, if you don’t feel comfortable reading the chapter with all of the trigger warnings up above, please do not read. This is mid season 6 Spencer (pre Emily’s “death”).
~ ~ ~
“You do!” Spencer laughs, his hand resting on Bridgett’s knee, his thumb slowly going back and forth against her knee cap.
“I do not! You’re the one that snores in my ear when you’re sleeping behind me and spooning me.” Bridgett teases back, shoving his shoulder playfully.
“Just when I’m extra tired.”
“Oh so that would be all the time.” Bridgett laughs, touching his cheek with her fingers. “What do you want to do this weekend? Hoping we don’t have a case interrupting it.” Spencer moves his hand up Bridgett’s thigh, staring at her intensely.
“You.” Spencer says quietly. Bridgett smirks at him, taking his wandering hand and holding it in hers.
“Is that so? Well I think that sounds like a pretty busy weekend.”
“Yeah I think it will be.” Spencer replies, making her heart flutter a little bit, taking her hand and kissing it.
“Bridgett, I need to speak with you. My office.” Hotch says, whizzing past her toward his office.
Bridgett and Spencer look at each other with wide eyes.
“You think he noticed?” Bridgett asks, hopping off Spencer’s desk onto her feet.
“Yes he noticed! I was basically 2 seconds away from making out with you!”
“But why didn’t he call both of us in?”
“You have to separate the suspects in order to get the full story.”
Bridgett glares at him, walking away quickly up to Hotch’s office. When she walks through the doorway she sees Rossi sitting in as well.
“What’s going on? Am I in trouble for doing what I was doing with Spencer?”
Rossi raises an eyebrow, glancing over at Hotch, now wondering what she was doing with Spencer.
“No. Shut the door and sit please.”
Bridgett shuts the door carefully, the walk over to the chair seeming like a mile away.
Hotch sighs, “When was the last time you spoke to your sister?”
Bridgett furrows her eyebrows, her mind instantly swimming, “On Sunday evening. We always call each other then. Why are you asking about her?”
“When was the last time you spoke to your parents?”
“I don’t.”
“When was the last time you had any contact?” Rossi questions, flipping through a folder in his hands.
“My mom called me about,” Bridgett pauses, thinking back in her mind, “A year and a half ago. She left a voicemail about how she was leaving my dad because he got another woman pregnant. But I’ve heard that so many times and I don’t care to speak to her anyway so I didn’t call her back. What’s going on?”
“Celeste is missing. Your parents reported her missing an hour ago. We just got the call about 20 minutes ago.”
Hotch hands her the missing person’s flyer, her sister’s senior picture with all of her information on the side. Bridgett’s heart drops into her stomach, staring at the paper in her hand. She automatically dissociates from the situation, everything in the room going dead quiet, tears welling up in her eyes.
“When?”
“Your parents last saw her Monday morning on her way to school.” Rossi says.
Bridgett comes back to reality, eyes flickering between Hotch and Rossi, her blood boiling. “Wait, wait. She’s been missing for 4 days and they just barely reported her missing? They haven’t seen her in fucking four da-“ Bridgett laughs in disbelief, rubbing the middle of her forehead in circles.
“We’re taking the case on. Your sister isn’t the only young girl missing. 3 other girls, ages 18-20 years old were reported missing within the past month.”
“Were any of them found alive?” Bridgett questions.
“Bridgett, we don’t know if they’re connected.” Hotch says trying to get her to calm down.
“I know I’ve been a cry baby every day of my life since you’ve known me, but I’m a big girl, I can handle the truth. I know you know if they’re connected.”
The two men give each other a look before turning back to look at Bridgett.
“It’s not for certain but we do have reason to believe they’re connected. And no, none of them were found alive. But that doesn’t mean your sister isn’t alive. We want you to do the briefing on the jet. I’m going to tell the team wheels up in 20.”
“Can I have a minute before we go?”
“Of course. We’re going to find her, Bridgett. I promise.” Hotch says, making a point to look into her eyes.
Bridgett gives him a small smile, trying to keep her tears at bay. As soon as both of them leave Bridgett breaks down, tears falling down her cheeks onto the paper still in her hand. She didn’t have to be as smart as Spencer to figure out who Celeste was with. She just hopes that she ran off with him and it wasn’t a violent end.
**** Bridgett sits by herself in the back of the jet while everyone else was up front talking. Spencer tried to ask what was the matter, but Bridgett just told him that she needed to be alone for a few minutes. He knew she was upset, but he couldn’t tell why, and he couldn’t hold her to make her feel better.
Hotch walks up to Bridgett, handing her the case file. She stands up and walks to the rest of the group, her hands shaking and her heart pumping fast as everyone gives her a questioning look as to why she was about to brief everyone and not JJ.
“Umm, so, we have 4 missing women in Erickson, Texas. Ages 17-20. Makayla Weber, Vanessa Davis, Elizabeth Jensen; all of whom have been found dead. Signs of rape before being choked to death and dumped at random… and my si-“ She pauses, sighing shakily, “My sister… Celeste Mendez was reported missing this morning.”
Everyone’s faces are a mix of shocked, horrified, sympathetic.
“My parents barely reported her missing a few hours ago even though she’s been missing since Monday night. And I didn’t tell you this back at the office, I’m sorry, but I know who the unsub is.”
Hotch raises an eyebrow, Rossi still stone faced.
“How do you know?” Derek asks.
“Garcia, can you search the name Joshua Wolfe please? E at the end of Wolfe.”
“Okay give me a sec… no criminal record, a few speeding tickets over the past few years, but nothing serious.”
“Are there any newspaper articles written about him? From high school?”
“Yes, star football player, quarterback, got The Erickson Tigers to state championship 3 years back to back, multiple offers from different schools for full ride scholarships for football.” Penelope says, listing off all of the “great” things written about him.
“Yeah he was all of those things. But he’s also a pervert. He’s dating my sister. He’s her soccer coach and when Celeste came to visit me 4 months ago she told me that they were seeing each other. I flipped, told her how disgusting it was, that it’s illegal, she didn’t care. She was ‘in love’ with him.”
“How long have they been seeing each other romantically?” Emily questions.
“Since early July, so about 7 months or so. She was 16 at the time. She kept saying that because the age of consent is 16 that it wasn’t illegal, but she doesn’t understand because she’s blinded by what she thinks is love but is just him manipulating her into falling in love with him and thinking he loves her back. It’s all part of his game. He makes you feel special, and good, and then he…”
“What? What does he do?”  JJ asks, giving Bridgett a comforting hand squeeze.
“The thing to know about Joshua is that because he was a star athlete, he of course, got all the girls. He was handsome, athletic, popular, but he didn’t take kindly to being turned down from sex… I would know.”
“What do you mean?” Emily asks, her face reading that she already knew where this was going.
Bridgett looks at everyone’s eyes, all of them knew without her even saying the words. And worse of all, Spencer knew too, and she had to admit to her boyfriend in front of all their friends that one of the worst things that could happen to anyone, happened to her.
“My senior year, everyone was at the homecoming game, and I was a part of the student council. We helped set up concession stands, announced the homecoming court, all that. And when everything was all done and we had cleaned up for the night, my parents weren’t answering the home phone, and I had told my friends that I didn’t need a ride home so I was stuck. But Joshua saw me sitting in the parking lot, and asked if I needed a ride home. Of course I took it because it was Joshua Wolfe, all the girls wanted him, he was a charmer, handsome, had it all. So he drives past my house to this look out of the town, everyone goes there on dates to have sex, and I knew what he was trying to do, but I didn’t want it. He kept trying to kiss me, and stick his hands down my pants. So I got out of the car and tried to walk away, but he pulled a gun on me… told me if I didn’t get back in the car he was going to shoot me. So I got back in. Told me to get undressed and go to the backseat or he would shoot me. So I did. And then he forced himself on me. I told him I didn’t want it, but he didn’t care. He… he raped me. Then he pretended like nothing happened, threw my clothes at me and told me to get dressed. He took me back home. I told my mom what happened… and she had the audacity to tell me, that if I really didn’t want to have sex, I would have fought him off harder. That I should have made him get off me. So I called a friend and she took me to the police station. I talked to the sheriff and he said he didn’t believe me. That if what I was saying was true, that reporting it would be damaging for Joshua’s future career opportunities. I didn’t even get sent to the hospital for a kit. He got away with raping me. It got around at school that I reported him raping me, one of the girls I went to school with, her dad was an officer, so she told everyone. And it wasn’t hard for the rumor to circulate. But then Joshua came up with a story that I was drunk, kept making moves on him, he felt bad because I was crying that nobody would ever have sex with me because I was fat, and had sympathy sex with me. Of course that was the story everyone believed. I was the girl who cried rape and nobody ever let me forget it. I hated him, I have never hated a person as much as I hated him. And it was like he got off on me hating him, seeing me get taunted, and crying about the shit people did to me and said about me. People would follow behind me in the hallways and scream ‘rape’ at me, thinking it was funny. None of the teachers ever did anything about it.”
Bridgett couldn’t even look at them after the story, she couldn’t stand to see the sympathy in their eyes. She didn’t even want to know what Spencer’s face looked like right now. The jet was oddly quiet, everyone processing the last few minutes. Bridgett finally sits down, tears dripping down her cheeks remembering all the shit she went through the last 7 months of high school. JJ gets up out of her seat and hugs her tightly.
“Oh my god, Bridgy… honey I’m so sorry.” She whispers.
“You think he preyed on your sister to get back at you? He ruined your life in high school, maybe he knew how close you and your sister are and it was just another jab at you.” Spencer asks, finally saying something.
“It could be possible, yeah. It wouldn’t surprise me.”
“Did your sister know about the rape?” Rossi asks.
“No. She was 10 at the time and it was never something we talked about in the house because it was my fault.”
“It wasn’t your fault, you know that right?” Derek says quietly, placing his hand on Bridgett’s knee.
“I know that now. But 17 year old me didn’t. I believed my mom. I know Celeste is with him. They probably ran away together or something, I’m just scared that if he is the one that killed the other missing girls, it could happen to Celeste. Has he been at school?”
“Records show he was at work on Tuesday but hasn’t been back since. I have the last known address and am sending it to you now.” Garcia interjects, Bridgett looks up at the computer screen, Penelope had tears in her eyes as well.
Hotch hands everyone the case file before everyone goes off to read up on it. Bridgett stays sitting in the chair she had been, zoned out, not noticing Spencer coming to sit next to her until she felt a tight grip around her body. Bridgett relaxes into him, letting tears flow freely into his chest. They don’t speak to each other, Spencer respecting that she needed to let it out, he holds her head gently, slowly going down her hair to comfort her.
*** The team sets up at the police station, getting all the information they needed from the sheriff, the same sheriff that she reported her assault to years ago and didn’t take her seriously. Bridgett stays back from him, not confident in herself that she wasn’t going to yell at him.
“We’re heading out, checking out Joshua’s house. Reid, stay with Bridgett.” Hotch says. Rossi and Derek leave out of the doors.
“I wanna go.” Bridgett demands, standing up from the chair she was sitting in.
“You know you can’t go. We’ll keep you updated when we know anything.” Hotch replies.
Bridgett slowly walks over to Spencer, he pins the map of the town on the board in front of her. She wraps her arms around his waist, hugging him from behind. His heart breaks because he knew how lost and upset she was, and he really couldn’t do or say anything to help her. He turns around to face her, her eyelids were red and puffy, she looked exhausted. Spencer cups her cheeks in his hands, kissing her forehead twice, he didn’t care if the rest of the local police saw.
“I’m glad you talked about what happened. Probably not the setting you wanted to talk about it, but still glad. I’m so sorry you had to go through that, sweetheart.” Spencer speaks softly.
“I’ve wanted to tell you, but it’s so hard for me to talk about. That was the first time I ever got through it without crying a lot.”
“It’s okay. It’s hard talking about traumatic experiences. Have you ever talked to anyone about it?”
“A shrink? No. I probably should but I don’t know, it’s nerve racking.”
“Bridge, your parents are here.” JJ says, stepping into the room.
Spencer let’s go of Bridgett’s face, letting her walk out of the room into the hallway. “I wanna go in there.”
“Are you sure?” JJ asks.
“Yes I’m sure. They’re not going to talk to anyone else. They don’t like cops. I have a better shot at getting them to say anything.”
JJ sighs, finally nodding her head. “If you need to step out, we’ll be in the next room. Don’t let them get to you.”
Bridgett nods her head, walking to the interrogation room door, stopping before grabbing the door handle. She takes deep breaths, wiping her face with her hands to try and look less of a mess. She counts to 10 slowly before walking into the room.
“Mom. Dad.”
They both look up at Bridgett, her dad staying stoned face while her mom’s face softened.
“Hi mija.”
Here we go.
Bridgett sits down across from them with a sigh, opening her case file and pulling the missing persons report out of the folder, sliding it across to them.
“Why would you wait 4 days after your daughter is missing to report it? She never came home from school Monday and you didn’t think it was the slightest bit weird?”
“No. The past few months it’s been happening.  Her leaving and not coming back for a few days. It’s mostly her leaving Friday morning and not coming back home until Monday night after school. But we called her on Wednesday and she didn’t answer her phone. She had a game Tuesday and she wasn’t there.” Her mom explains.
“She never missed a game.” Bridgett mutters. “And do you know who she was leaving with on weekends?”
“You’re the one that talks to her all the time, you don’t know?” Her dad snaps, hitting his palm on the table.
Bridgett stares him down, “Do you know every single detail about all of your kids? I bet you couldn’t name us in birth order. In fact, you couldn’t even tell me the color of my eyes. I’m there for Celeste since you guys clearly aren’t.”
“Bridgett.” Her mom saying her name in a warning tone. “You still need to respect your father.”
Bridgett laughs, “I need to respect him? He doesn’t know the meaning of the word respect! Look how he treats you! And the way he’s been treating you the past 24 almost 25 years!” Her voice raised in volume quickly, her voice ringing through the room. “Let me tell the ‘Parents of the Year’ something, she’s been having a sexual relationship with Joshua Wolfe, her high school soccer coach. She told me about it when she came to Virginia a few months back.”
Her dad gets up from the chair, making it fall to the floor and walking out of the room. Bridgett turns back toward the mirror, motioning for someone to go get him. She sees two of the local police follow after him as Emily walks in, sitting down next to Bridgett.
“Why does that name sound familiar? Joshua?” Her mom questions.
“Really? You don’t remember that this man raped me and you told me that it was basically my fault! You victim blamed me! And then the people you’re supposed to go to for help tell me that I’m going to damage his career if I cry rape! Nobody believed me and I had to emotionally and mentally live with the fact that I never got any help for my sexual assault! I warned everyone about this asshole and nobody believed me! And now my sister, my whole life, is missing and he needs to be suspect number one! I don’t give a fuck if he was a football star and a good kid, I know he has Celeste and you couldn’t even pay attention for 5 goddamn seconds to know something in your own child’s life!” Her eyes were cloudy with tears, her voice breaking and hoarse.
Emily stands up, trying to pull her out of the room. “Bridgett, you need to walk away.”
“Oh this shit again? He wouldn’t do something like that, Joshua is a respected person. It was so long ago.”
“And I’m still traumatized! Maybe if you paid an ounce of attention to your kids, one wouldn’t be missing and the other wouldn’t live states away to get away from you!” She yells, walking out of the room.
Spencer meets her in the hallway, enveloping her in a hug. He shushes her, stroking her hair. “Come here. It’s okay, you did good.”
“That’s the reason I left. That’s why Celeste was planning on leaving after graduation. I shouldn’t have ever left her.”
“It's going to be okay. We’re going to find her.”
“I’m taking her back to Virginia. She’s not staying here anymore.”
“Guys, we gotta go,  they found Joshua.”
***
Bridgett automatically recognized the white vintage pickup truck parked in the driveway, the same one he had that night. Rossi, Hotch, and Derek were waiting across the street at the other house, a few other police cars parked in the street. Everyone hops out of the car, walking over to the other half of the team.
“He’s in there. We don’t know if Celeste is in there for sure. He’s saying she is but he won’t come out. Rossi’s trying to talk to him, coax him out.” Derek explains.
“He wants Bridgett.” Rossi says, moving the phone away from his mouth.
“No.” Spencer says from behind her.
“What do you mean no? I’m going in there.” Bridgett says, checking her vest and gun to make sure everything was in order.
“I agree with Reid, it’s too risky. Especially with how emotionally impulsive you can be.” Hotch replies.
“Bridgett might have the best shot of getting him to tell us where Celeste is. One of us will follow behind you and stay by the door outside, and we’ll be listening in.” Derek says.
Bridgett looks around at the rest of the team, waiting for the okay from Hotch, even though everyone already knew that Bridgett was going to do what she wanted.
“Morgan, stay with her, but fall back just enough where you won’t be seen. We don’t know what’s going to set him off. Bridgett, say the word and we’ll move in.”
“Got it.” She says, walking up to the house with her gun drawn out in front of her. Once she gets to the door she knocks on it, seeing Derek duck out behind an overgrown bush off to the side of her. The door opens, Joshua standing behind the screen door. He still looked the same as he did in high school, a 5 o’clock shadow on his face.
“I knew you would come running to be your sister’s savior. Look at you, filled out since the last time I saw you.”
Bridgett looked at him in disgust. “Where’s Celeste?”
“Why don’t you come inside and find out?” He asks, opening the screen door. She follows behind him, keeping her distance. Bridgett looks around the house, everything was neat and tidy, not a pillow, picture, or knickknack out of place.
“You need to answer my question. Where is she?”
Joshua sits in a chair, his arms laying flat on the arm rests.
“How much is it killing you inside to know what your sister and I do? That I had both you and her. And at the same age.”
Bridgett draws her gun on him, walks toward him slowly, “Where. Is. She? You have 15 seconds before I shoot you right in the middle of your goddamn forehead. Tell me where she is Joshua!”
“Well if you shoot me how are you going to find out where she is? Sit, talk to me a while. Let’s catch up.” Not so much as a blink coming from him when Bridgett drew the gun on him.
Bridgett rounds the corner of the couch, sitting across from him, gun still drawn on him. “You want to sit and chat? Let’s sit and chat, Joshua.” She spits, narrowing her eyes at him.
“She loved me. Loved all of me.”
“Mother fucker. Where is she? I’ll fucking kill you myself!”
“Got both the sisters on my scorecard.”
“Fuck you! Your piece of shit. Where the fuck is she? You don’t get it. My team has my back, just like all the boys on the team did after you assaulted me. They’ll vouch that you pulled a weapon on me, I’ll shoot you, clean shot. I’m the best shooter on this team, I don’t miss. Tell me where she is!”
The door opens behind her, the team flooding in, all of their guns drawn on him.
“Drop the bull shit, Joshua. Tell us where you have Celeste.” Derek yells, stopping next to Bridgett.
“Celeste found out about the other girls. She realized that she wasn’t the only one in my life, figured out what I had done to them. She threatened to call her big bad big sister, and I knew what I had to do.”
Bridgett drops her gun, her patience officially running out and charging him, kicking his legs from under him, his whole body hitting the floor with a thud. Bridgett climbs on top of him, wrapping her hands around his throat.
“Tell me where she is!”
“44th and McLeary. The Stephenson's old house.” He chokes out, his whole face cherry red. Bridgett holds her hands against him for a few more seconds, watching him struggle for air. Derek picks her up off of Joshua, handing her off to Spencer.
“Cuff him. I’m going.” Bridgett runs out of the house to the car, jumping in the driver seat. She sees Spencer slide in next to her in the passenger seat. The back doors open, Rossi and Hotch in the backseats waiting for her to floor it.
*** Bridgett presses on the brake pedal firmly, the whole SUV stopping suddenly. She puts it in park, not taking the keys out but jumping out. Hotch and Spencer block her path, stopping her in the middle of the driveway, both of them holding her back.
“Wait here. Do not let her in yet. We need to clear the house.” Rossi says, Hotch following behind him with their guns drawn. Bridgett watches them walk into the house. Spencer holds her against his chest, trying to get her to relax.
“I wanted to kill him. I looked in his eyes when I was choking him… and if Derek would have let me, I would have killed him.”
“Trust me, you’re not going to have to worry about him again. He’s not going to hurt you or your sister anymore.”
“We found her…” Rossi’s voice rings in their ear pieces.
“Celeste! I’m coming.”  Bridgett runs into the house, her heart beating fast, a new wave of adrenaline coursing through her body. She goes to the back of the house and sees both men standing in the hallway.
“Bridge wait, she’s not… she’s gone”  Rossi says, holding her arms. “You don’t want to see her like this. You don’t want that to be the last memory you have of her.”
Tears instantly started flowing down her cheeks, her whole body going numb. She gripped onto Rossi’s arms, collapsing against him. Bridgett sobs into his shoulder. He whispers ‘I’m sorry’ into her ear over and over again, trying to hold her up.
“No, I need to see her. I need to see if it’s her.” She cries.
Rossi looks at Hotch, waiting for his approval. Once he nods his head Rossi let’s her go. Bridgett walks forward, staring at her sister lying lifeless on the floor.
Celeste was left in just a tank top and underwear, her tan skin was now pale, her lips dry and a hint of blue on them. Her cheekbone had a purple bruise on it, one long bruise around her neck as well, dried blood under her nostril. There was a pool of dried blood surrounding her body. She drops to the floor next to her, moving her hair out of her face. Holding Celeste’s hand, crying over her body.
“No! Oh my god no. Celeste, baby come on, wake up. You can’t go. Call a medic, she needs help.” Bridgett calls out behind her, frantically looking to the three men behind her. Spencer drops down next to her, rubbing her back in comfort.
“Bridge, she’s gone.”
“No! Not my baby. Not my sister. I’m so sorry, Celeste. I’m so sorry. Baby I’m so sorry. Please. Please come back, Celly, please.”
Bridgett falls into Spencer's chest, clinging to his button up shirt and screaming in agony. Bridgett kept repeating Celeste’s name, screaming for her to come back. Spencer held Bridgett like you would hold a child, trying to keep her head against his chest and trying to shield her eyes from Celeste.
A few minutes passed, the rest of the team arriving at the empty house and heading to the back, Bridgett still inconsolable in Spencer’s arms.
“Bridge, Bridgett, honey your parents will be here any minute, we gotta get you up” Emily says, bending down to be eye level with Bridgett. Bridgett shakes her head, the rest of her body shaking against Spencer as she tries to catch her breath.
“I know you don’t want to be here when they come to see Celeste. We’ll just go to the backyard, get you calm, cleaned up, and then we’ll head over to the station.”
“Come on, babe, let’s get up.” Spencer says softly, looking down at her.
“Don’t leave me. Please?”
Spencer wipes the tears from her face, kissing her cheek. “I’m not going to leave you. I’m right here.”
Bridgett finally sits up, Emily helping Bridgett to her feet, giving her a big hug. Once she looks around the room she sees the team standing back in the hallway, their faces reading sympathetic. Bridgett clings onto Spencer’s arm as they walk toward the back of the house to the sliding doors to the backyard. Bridgett sits on a tree stump off to the side of the yard, Spencer sitting right behind her. She couldn’t form thoughts, focus on anything around her, stop crying, it was like she wasn’t in control of her body or mind.
“Bridgett?” Spencer calls her name, shaking her shoulder softly.
“Hmm?”
“Emily asked if you wanted anything to drink.”
Bridgett looks up at Emily standing above her. Trying to figure out if she had been standing there the whole time.
“Just water, please.” Her voice was frail and hoarse from all the screaming.
Emily nods her head, walking back inside the house. Spencer hugs her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. Bridgett rests her arms on top of his, stroking his knuckles absentmindedly. Spencer wanted to say something, but it needed to be better than just “I’m sorry.”
A few minutes later a piercing scream travels through the house and out of the back door to where Spencer and Bridgett were sitting. Bridgett picks her head up and looks through the window into the house, seeing her dad make his way out of the hallway and dropping to his knees. Both of them could hear her mother’s gut wrenching screams come from inside. As much as Bridgett hated her parents, they shouldn’t have to bury their child. No parent should.
“Hey, let’s go to the car.” Spencer says, trying to distract her.
“No. I wanna be here when the coroner picks her up.”
“Why don’t we go to the front yard, we can wait in the car, in the air conditioning, and you can see when they get here? I don’t want you to pass out from being in the sun and crying. Not to mention you haven’t eaten since before we left Quantico.”
Bridgett agrees after a few seconds, shakily standing up and walking with Spencer to the front of the house, sitting in the passenger seat next to Spencer, the cool air blasting against her warm face. Spencer handed her a granola bar, Bridgett rejecting, there was no way she could stomach food right now.
“Bridgett, I know you’re upset, and your world just stopped, but that doesn’t mean you can stop taking care of yourself. You need something in your system.” Spencer says, opening the wrapper for her and handing it back. Bridgett takes it, breaking it in half and taking a bite.
“I’m sorry. I’m not trying to be difficult, I just don’t know how to process this right now.”
“You’re not being difficult. You’re mourning. I want you to know you’re not going through this alone though. Okay? I’m right here, baby.”
“I know, thank you for being here, Spence.” Bridgett whispers, touching her hand to his face.
They sit in the car in silence, watching police walk in and out of the old worn down house. Finally the coroner’s van pulls up, a man and a woman stepping out. Bridgett steps out of the SUV, watching them take the gurney out of the back of their van. Spencer comes up next to her, holding her close to him. It felt like forever before they came back out wheeling her sister’s body in the white sheet, out of the house. Bridgett’s tears start back up once again watching Celeste be removed from the last place she was alive. Her parents followed after, they were holding each other and crying, her father and Hotch on both sides of her mom escorting her out of the house.
“Once we get back to the morgue you’ll be able to come in and identify the body. Your parents said that you’d be the one to identify her.” The man says in passing to Bridgett.
“We still have to identify her even though we know it’s her?”
“For our records, yes. We need a signature that you identified her. I am very sorry for your loss, ma’am.”
“Thank you.” She says quietly.
“Come on, I’ll drive.” Spencer says from behind her, enveloping her in a tight hug.
***
It had been hours since they found Celeste. Bridgett had to identify the body at the morgue, which mentally drained her even more. She couldn’t believe that her sister was gone, it didn’t feel real even after seeing her on the table with the blue sheet covering her.
Spencer opens the door to her hotel room, letting her walk in first. Bridgett slowly shuffles in, stopping in the middle of the room, staring at the floor. She feels Spencer’s hand on her shoulder.
“Bridgett, you should lie down. It’s been a long night.”
She shakes her head, not moving her body from its place. “Why is this happening? Why her? Why did he do this?” Tears start to flood her already sore eyes, her heart feeling empty. Her hands fly to eyes, pressing her palms against her eyes to prevent more tears from falling.
“I know there’s nothing I can say or do to make this feel better, but I am so sorry, Bridge.” Spencer towers over her, hugging her tightly. Bridgett breaks down into his arms for the 10th time that day. Her whole body convulses against him, violent sobs coming deep from her chest. Spencer rocks her back and forth, letting her get everything out.
“I-I should hav-ha-ve never left her. I should have stayed h-home until she was done with school. That way I could have protected her.”
“Don’t do that to yourself. It’s not your fault. None of this is. Hey, look at me, baby.”
Bridgett lifts her head, Spencer taking his thumb and swiping it across her tears.
“I’m not going back to Virginia until you go back.”
“Why? No Spence, the team needs you.”
“They’ll be fine. You need me more. I told Hotch about us and that I want to be here with you to help you through the planning process and everything after. I don’t want to leave you alone and have you deal with your parents alone.”
Bridgett sniffles, trying to compose herself. “You told them about us? Why now?”
“I dunno. I figured it’s time. Especially since I’ve been by your side the entire day. Is it a problem that I told them?”
“No. Not at all. It’s actually one last thing for me to worry about whenever we do go back home. Thank you for wanting to be here with me.”
“I’m always going to be here for you, Bridge. I always have you.”
