How criminal minds characters would react to you, their partner, calling them daddy or mommy?
nsfw | mdni | daddy/mommy kink | only for the characters i write for plus rossi because i need to feed the peepaw agenda
aaron - he has such a daddy kink. he thrives with it. the first time you ever call him daddy, he goes with it immediately. “yeah? daddy’s got you. let daddy take care of you, hmm?” while he’s fucking you so good.
rossi - rossi would chuckle and go “say that again. i like how it sounds coming from that pretty mouth.” and then when you do, he’s cumming very fast because how could he not.
derek - this man doesn’t have a daddy kink. he would go “daddy?” while smirking and quirking his eyebrow. “i don’t think so sweetheart,” before continuing what you were doing.
luke - massive daddy kink!! you’d call him daddy in bed and you’ve got luke groaning as his thrusts get sloppier as he chases his orgasm. “fuck, baby, you make daddy feel so good,” he’d grunt.
jj - jj does not have a mommy kink at all. if you called her mommy while she’s going down on you, she’d stop, pull away slightly to look at you, and say “let’s not call me what my kids call me,” before diving right back in lol.
emily - HOWEVER if you call emily mommy, she’s into it. she’s so into it. in fact she’s so into it that you could also probably call her daddy too lmao. “mommy?” she’d smirk as she’s fingering you. “mommy’s got you, baby. let mommy take care of you,” and she’s cooing, eliciting many different noises from you.
spencer - spencer, regardless of the era, does NOT have a daddy kink at all. you’d call him daddy and spencer would stop thrusting his hips to look at you before the both of you burst out into laughter because he felt so wrong to call him daddy. “daddy? please don’t call me that,” he’d exclaim. “maybe sir but not daddy.”

sight for sore eyes ⊹ aaron hotchner
.ᐟ MDNI .ᐟ
ᝰ summary: getting ready for a dinner party at rossi's has you feeling insecure about your body, but your husband knows exactly how to alleviate these thoughts.
ᝰ warnings: fem reader, plus size/chubby reader, discussion of insecurity/body image, comfort, l-bombs, softdom!aaron, sub!reader, (basically) body worship, praise, nipple play, fingering, oral f receiving, multiple orgasms, squirting
hi hi! writing about hotch is actually my favourite thing ever. anyways. being a chubby girl, i've always enjoyed seeing fan fics catering to my body type as it can be rare to come by. we all deserve to feel sexy and represented, even in fan fiction! hope you all enjoy and feel free to send me any requests ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚
standing in yours and your husband's bedroom, you slip on the black satin dress you've picked out for the dinner party tonight at rossi's. usually he had casual dinner parties with just the bau family there, but today he was hosting one much more elaborate and upscale. this dinner party was to celebrate his new book and there was expected to be a lot of people there. you never minded dressing up, you enjoyed it even, but today was just one of those days where you looked in the mirror just a few seconds too long and spent too much time analyzing your body in the shower. you sighed as you shimmied the dress down, adjusting the straps over your shoulders and smoothing it down. you step in front of the full length mirror situated in the corner of your bedroom, turning to the side as you pick apart your experience. you sigh again as you look at how your tummy sticks out, as you feel your thighs squishing together under the dress. you run a hand through your hair in frustration, and as if on cue you hear the hardwood floor creak under your husband's feet as he enters the room.
"almost ready to go?" aaron asks, approaching you from behind and wrapping his arms around you. despite your internal thoughts you relax in his strong grasp, relishing in his warmth. "you're so beautiful" he whispers in your ear, making eye contact with you through the mirror. you smile softly at his compliment before breaking away from the eye contact, indicating to aaron that something was definitely wrong. "hey.." he turns you around to face him, "tell me what's up" he whispers softly, hands now gently squeezing your waist. "it's- it's stupid, aaron.. just let me change into something different and we can head out" you murmur, shooting him a half smile. "we're not going anywhere until you tell me what's wrong" he says lovingly, but also with that authoritative tone he tends to have at work. you sigh in defeat, "i look- i don't like how i look. i mean, do you see how this dress hugs me? i was really excited to wear it but i put it on and i just hate how it looks on me... i can't wear it"
aaron gives your waist a reassuring squeeze before guiding you both to the bed. he sits on the edge, pulling you down to straddle his lap despite your hesitations. "sweetheart, i want you to know that you are the most beautiful woman in this world. i know that not everyday is easy, and that you can feel insecure and discomfort in your own skin. but you are beyond beautiful. if you want to try on some other things we can do that or if you don't want to go at all i can call dave-" "no! don't do that, i can suck it up" you urgently respond, feeling terrible if you were to turn down the invitation. "well before we go, i want to do everything in my power to make you feel good. is that okay with you?" your husband inquires, staring deeply into your eyes and studying the emotions that pass through them. "okay" you smile as his hands trail down your sides, fiddling with the bottom of your dress.
"let's get this off hm?" he hums, pushing the silky material all the way over your head, gingerly placing it beside you two on the bed. "so pretty" he whispers, hands dancing up your back to unhook your bra, adding it atop your dress. your breasts fall free, his hands instantly cupping them. "i remember the first time i saw you like this; you were and still are a sight for sore eyes" you smile at aaron while your heart pounds, the feeling of his hands on you never failing to make you giddy. he dips his head down, his tongue flicking across your nipple. you gasp at the sensation, your nipple hardening as a result. he hums satisfied before sucking it into his mouth, his hand gently pinching and twisting your opposite nipple. "aaron" you whine, your hands gliding through his hair as he continues. he pulls off with a 'pop', repeating the actions to your other nipple without a second thought. your whines are soft yet beyond sexy, aaron's sucking gaining intensity at your sounds. he pulls off once more, hands not wasting time before trailing to the waistband of your underwear. they were red and lacy, a cute little touch you did for when you hoped aaron would potentially undress you at a later time. "my god.." he almost groans out, hand travelling further down and urging your panties to the side.
"you don't even know how perfect you are" he murmurs as he glides his middle finger across your slit, spreading your pussy and sinking his finger inside you, entering with ease. "o-oh" you moan, tugging at his hair. "feel good for me, sweetheart. you're so beautiful, want you to feel good" he praises while he slips another finger in, picking up the pace. "it's so good, so good" your moans have started to get louder, your body squirming slightly on his lap. "can you take another, pretty girl? is one more okay?" he smirks as you frantically nod, guiding one more finger into you. "good girl, you're taking so much... perfect" he doesn't falter for a second, using his thumb to now stroke your clit. aaron was skilled with his hands, them being large and touching all the right places. "fuck!" you gasp, your orgasm on a quick descent. "i've got you, let it go, i have you, baby" he encourages you, watching the blissful expression on your face. "oh! oh!" you squeal as your pussy pushes his fingers out, gushing onto the floor. "oh my god" you breathe, aaron slowly removing his fingers. "you're too good at that" you giggle, a smirk crossing aaron's face. "i'm glad you think so, but i'm not finished yet"
he holds you close as he stands up, turning and lying you flat on your back on the bed. he removes your panties before he urges your thighs apart, leaning in. "even your pussy is gorgeous, did you know that?" he gawks, spitting on it as his fingers intertwine with yours. he dives in, licking a stripe up you and tasting all you had let out for him just a minute ago. you moan loudly as you squeeze his hands like your life depends on it, ecstasy flowing through you at the feeling of his tongue. aaron sucks your clit into his mouth, skillfully toying with it. "oh god, aaron, fuck" you whine, your hips grinding into his mouth. he groans and releases your clit, lifting your legs together and pushing them back. "prettiest fucking body.." he hums before burying his face in you again, tongue rapidly devouring you and pushing you to that familiar edge. "i'm gonna cum again! gonna-" you squeal, legs quivering as your orgasm crashes down once more. aaron has a firm grip on your legs, holding them steady, as he cleans you up with his tongue gently. he pulls away, softly guiding your legs down while you catch your breath.
"i love you, sweetheart. you deserve to feel beautiful everyday, and i'll never stop proving it to you" aaron smiles down at you lovingly, a hand cupping your cheek so gingerly that it made you want to cry. "i love you so much... you never fail to make me feel better, thank you" you return the smile, pulling him down for a kiss.
to rossi's mansion we go.

LATE NIGHT BABY CRAVING. / L.ALVEZ / SUMMARY - Luke struggles to accommodate all your cravings
PAIRING: pregnant!reader x luke alvez / w/c: 1.6k / fluff
a/n: I got this idea from another tumblr user’s story so shout out to that person’s aunt who accused them of not accepting them into the family cuz she was pregnant, ur the goat
Luke was struggling. He tried, believe him, he tried. Somehow everything you ate had to be specifically planed, craved before he could think of bringing it to you.
After the first few times, he got the hang of it.
Or so he thought.
The soft hum of your favorite playlist filled the quiet kitchen, sunlight streaming through the open windows and catching on the edge of a glass bowl Luke was fussing over like it was some top-secret assignment. You sat at the kitchen island, belly round and prominent beneath the oversized T-shirt that used to be his, legs swinging lazily as you scrolled through baby name lists on your phone.
Luke stood at the counter, brow furrowed, sleeves pushed up, chopping vegetables like he was about to interrogate them.
“You’re concentrating really hard over there, Alvez,” you teased, biting back a smile.
He looked up, holding a cucumber slice between his fingers like it was evidence. “Because I’m making something for my very demanding, very pregnant girlfriend,” he said, flashing that charming half-grin.
“I’m not demanding,” you said innocently, setting your phone down. “I just have preferences. Strong preferences. And a violent aversion to olives right now.”
Luke chuckled under his breath. “Noted. No olives. Ever. Again.”
You watched him toss a handful of chopped tomatoes into the bowl, followed by some avocado and red onions, before drizzling in olive oil and squeezing half a lemon over it with all the flair of a five-star chef. Honestly, the man was dangerous—FBI agent by day, salad whisperer by afternoon.
He turned to you, holding the bowl out with a flourish. “Try it.”
You blinked, lips curling. “Is that lettuce?”
“Yeah?”
“You’re offering me lettuce?”
He paused, clearly sensing a trap. “Yes…?”
You gave him a dramatic gasp, pressing a hand to your chest. “You hate me.”
Luke blinked. “What?”
“You want me to suffer,” you continued, voice dripping with faux betrayal. “You took one look at your pregnant, hormonal girlfriend, who grew your baby, and said, ‘You know what she needs? Leaves.’”
Luke groaned, walking around the island to place the bowl gently in front of you. “It’s not just leaves. It’s baby spinach, which has iron, which you need, and avocado, which you love, and it’s dressed in your favorite lemon vinaigrette, which I made from scratch, by the way.”
You leaned closer to the bowl, inspecting it. “Hmm. Still feels like an attack.”
Luke narrowed his eyes, leaning down until your faces were only inches apart. “If this is an attack, it’s the nicest one you’ll ever get. I even peeled the cucumbers.”
You sighed dreamily. “Fine. I’ll allow it. But only because you’re hot.”
He chuckled, his hand coming to rest on the swell of your belly. “And because I rubbed your back last night?”
“That too.”
You picked up the fork and took a bite. Damn it. It was good. But you couldn’t let him win that easily.
You chewed slowly, eyes locked with his. “Okay, this is… amazing. But I still feel like I deserve a cookie for being tricked into eating vegetables.”
Luke grinned, brushing a kiss to your temple. “There’s cookie dough chilling in the fridge. Chocolate chip. I know what I’m doing.”
You melted into him, resting your head on his shoulder as he stood beside you. His hand slipped from your belly to your back, rubbing soft, lazy circles. The baby gave a soft kick—just a flutter—and you both paused, looking at each other with that wide-eyed wonder that hadn’t worn off yet.
Luke leaned slightly, pressing a kiss to your cheek. “They like the salad. Told you.”
You laughed, fingers in his hair. “That, or they’re trying to kick their way out to get the cookie.”
Luke smirked. “Definitely your kid.”
You smiled down at him, eyes soft. “You don’t hate me.”
He stood, kissing you full on the lips this time—slow, sweet, full of every unspoken thing between you.
“Never. Not even a little,” he murmured.
But that was when you were being easy.
When you wanted to be difficult it looked a little more like this…
It started with a craving.
A deep, soul-stirring, undeniable craving. One minute, you were nestled on the couch, half-dozing in one of Luke’s hoodies, a baby blanket pulled up over your legs and the soft hum of a true crime documentary playing in the background. The next, your eyes open with the urgent clarity of a prophet receiving a vision.
“I need Chick-fil-A.”
Luke, sitting beside you with a tablet in hand and Roxy curled up by his feet, looked up slowly. “You need… what?”
You sat up, wide-eyed, rubbing your belly. “Chick-fil-A. Chicken sandwich. Extra pickles. Large waffle fries. And a lemonade.”
He blinked. “Babe, the nearest Chick-fil-A is, like, thirty minutes away.”
“I know,” you said solemnly. “I googled it.”
Luke raised a brow, setting the tablet down. “You want me to drive thirty minutes… for fast food?”
You nodded, serious as ever. “Yes.”
There was a beat of silence as Roxy yawned dramatically, clearly sensing something was about to go down.
Luke exhaled a slow breath, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Didn’t I just make you a salad?”
“And it was delicious, my love,” you said sweetly, placing a hand on his thigh. “But now I need a chicken sandwich. And waffle fries. And maybe a milkshake. It’s not my fault. It’s your baby’s fault. She’s got taste.”
“She?” he echoed, smirking. “You’re suddenly team girl now?”
You shrugged. “Only girls crave lemonade that specific. I don’t make the rules.”
Luke stood up, looking entirely too dramatic for a man whose girlfriend was literally carrying his child. “You know this is how people end up in those ‘crazy partner’ Reddit threads, right? Driving across state lines for pickles or whatever?”
You narrowed your eyes. “You’re not gonna make me cry, are you, Alvez? Because I can cry. Like, right now.”
Luke pointed at you with mock sternness. “Emotional manipulation.”
You pouted.
He sighed.
And thirty minutes later, you were in the car.
The drive started with you grinning triumphantly, feet propped on the dashboard, one hand on your belly, the other wrapped around the XL insulated water bottle he made you take everywhere. Luke glanced at you from the corner of his eye every few minutes like he couldn’t believe what he’d agreed to.
“Just so we’re clear,” he said, “this better be the best damn chicken sandwich in the entire country.”
“Oh, it will be,” you replied, rolling the window down a little to feel the breeze. “And I’ll share my fries with you. Maybe.”
“Wow. Generous.”
“Don’t say I never give you anything.”
You could see him fighting a smile. His hand slid across the console, resting on your thigh as he drove. That familiar, warm touch of his made your chest ache in the best way. He always did that—casual, grounding, soft. No matter how chaotic life got, Luke always found a way to hold you steady.
“How’s the baby?” he asked quietly, giving your thigh a gentle squeeze.
You smiled, placing your hand over his. “Chilling. I think she’s just excited for chicken.”
Luke laughed under his breath. “Think she’s more into nuggets or chicken sandwiches?”
You gasped. “That’s her nickname now. Nugget.”
He shook his head, clearly regretting it. “God help her.”
You spent the rest of the ride making up possible baby names based on your food cravings.
“Chickaletta.”
“Stop.”
“Waffleina.”
“Do you want me to pull over and leave you here?”
“Fine,” you huffed. “You name her.”
“Elena.”
You blinked. “That’s… actually really cute.”
“Told you.”
You leaned over and kissed his cheek. “Elena ‘Nugget’ Alvez. It’s got a ring to it.”
“Babe, no.”
When you finally pulled into the Chick-fil-A parking lot, you practically jumped out of the car before he even turned off the engine.
Luke followed behind, calm and unhurried, while you stood in front of the counter like a general leading her troops. “One classic chicken sandwich. No lettuce. Extra pickles. Large waffle fries. Lemonade. No pulp. And… oh! Cookies and cream milkshake.”
The poor teen at the register blinked. “Will that be all?”
You looked to Luke, who just raised his brows. “Better throw in some nuggets, too.”
“God, I love you,” you whispered, pressing a hand to your heart.
Back in the car, you unwrapped your sandwich like it was a religious relic and took a bite so dramatic that Luke choked on his lemonade laughing.
“You’re embarrassing,” he said.
You chewed slowly, savoring it. “You hate me.”
He smiled softly. “You’re right. I drove you thirty minutes to fulfill a craving and bought you half the menu. Clearly, I’m plotting your downfall.”
“You probably are,” you said around a mouthful of fries. “This feels like sabotage. You want me to get even bigger so I can’t run away.”
Luke snorted. “You’re carrying our kid. You’re glowing. And if you got any more beautiful, I’d have to fight off strangers in the street.”
You paused mid-bite. “Okay, fine. You can have three fries.”
“Generous again,” he muttered, stealing one anyway.
You leaned your head on his shoulder, full and happy, a little sleepy from the ride, his arm curling around you in that way that always made you feel invincible. The baby kicked lightly, like she was content too. Nugget approved.
Thirty minutes away or not… this was everything.
And he was everything.
Your soldier. Your salad-maker, drive-across-town-for-chicken sandwich guy.
And soon, your baby’s dad.
You smiled up at him, wiping some sauce from his chin.
“I’d do this all over again tomorrow.”
Luke looked over, deadpan. “We’re not doing this tomorrow.”
“We’ll see.”

I think Luke is low-key a little possessive. Not in like a jealous you can't talk to anyone way but like marking you up and wanting you to tell him you're his during sex. He also enjoys seeing you in his clothes
yours
pairing; luke alvez x fem!reader
summary; luke wants to give you all the pleasure he can but maybe he gives a little too much
warnings; MINORS DO NOT INTERACT 18+, smut, pure smut, breeding kink (if you squint), overstimulation (so much overstimulation), a lot of talk of fluids, reader squirts once, luke marks reader up, hurt/comfort but not really hurt (reader is just overstimulated and pleasure drunk), little bit of crying because of said overstimulation, just really horny, dom!luke, sub!reader
notes; i feel like the actual fic may have veered away from the ask a bit but i kind of took luke being possessive and fucking ran with it, like RAN with it, uhm, yeah, a 3k one-shot of just luke and reader being horny, i've shared like horny one-shots before but this feels like a new level so uhm, i hope you enjoy and any feedback is helpful since i literally never share my smutty writings!
masterlist
Luke’s arms were caging you in as he slowly thrusted into you. He had already pulled two or three orgasms from just slowly fucking into you and your mind was drunk on pleasure. He was kissing you as you moaned and whined into his mouth. His tongue licking into your mouth as your nails dug into his chest, scratching at his tanned skin. Every sensation was maddening.
And then his lips slipped from yours and down to your neck. He nipped at your skin and you threw your head back, giving him access to every inch of skin on your throat. He had already left hickeys that you knew weren’t gonna fade for days but you really didn’t care. You loved when he marked you up. You also knew that he loved doing it.
“My pretty carina,” He mumbled against your throat and you whined. His thrusts were still slow, dragging everything out as you squeezed your eyes shut. You felt like you were being slowly torn apart and it was like nothing you’d ever experienced, even with him. He had come back from a case desperate and needy and he hadn’t even cum yet. Instead, he was trying to draw as many orgasms from you as he could.
“Luke,” You whined, feeling the familiar pressure in your gut. Your walls contracted around him and he groaned against your neck. His head fell forward, his forehead resting against your throat as he squeezed his eyes shut. You were whining and kneening, digging your fingers into any part of him that you could, “Oh God,” You moaned as your back arched. He was desperately trying to hold back blowing his load as his teeth sunk into your neck. The way you felt around him only made it harder to control and everything shunted forward as you gushed around him. It was dripping down your ass and thighs, coating every part of you in sticky slick. But Luke didn’t let up.
“Luke,” You whined, throwing your head back as he continued his slow, even thrusts. Your walls were so sensitive and your legs were shaking, “Please,” You continued, not even entirely sure what you were begging for. Luke smirked against your skin before he lifted his head up so he could look at you. He rested his hand against your cheek as he continued his measured thrusts.
“What is it, baby?” He asked, somehow still put together despite everything. Your cunt was wet, warm and he was slipping in and out so easily. You didn’t understand how he was able to hold on for this long. You felt your sanity beginning to slip as he continued to thrust into you, your mind so drunk on pleasure that you couldn’t think straight. You couldn’t even respond to his question which made him smirk, “Am I making you feel good?” He asked, a teasing lilt to his tone. You tried desperately to nod, moaning as he adjusted his hips to get a better angle. His cock hit your cervix with every thrust and you could barely think straight, “Who’s making you feel good?” He continued as he rested his forehead against yours. Your breaths were mingling as you whined and keened, chest pressed against his as your fingers moved to drag down his chest.
“You, you are,” You moaned out as he shoved into you particularly harshly. Your eyes fell closed as you dug your nails into his back, “Just you, only you, oh God, Luke,” You devolved into mindlessly whining and panting as you felt another orgasm already begin to make itself known. Your walls were contracting around him and he squeezed his eyes shut again. It was getting harder and harder to hold himself back.
“Am I gonna make you cum again? Cum for me, baby.” His voice was in your ear and it sent you over the edge. Your nails dug into his back, leaving crescent shaped marks on his shoulders as you gushed around him. Your legs were shaking, wrapped around his waist as you convulsed, desperately trying to work through the orgasm but it was getting harder. Especially when he was still slowly thrusting into you, your walls were so oversensitive, you felt like you were losing your mind. Eyes squeezed shut, panting, whining and your back arched while your nails dug into his back. It was probably painful but he made no indication that it bothered him as your head was thrown back. It was impossible to even think.
And he was still thrusting into you. Every single one sent pleasure tickling up your spine and it was toeing the fine line between pleasure and pain and you could feel yourself slipping away. You weren’t even sure how long he had been thrusting into you and you knew that you were whining and moaning his name but you weren’t sure what you were saying. You were babbling as he continued to suck hickeys into your neck and mumble about how you were his and only his. It was maddening.
“Fuck,” Luke whined, goddamn whined against your throat as he felt your tightening around him again. You were panting, breathless and dazed as you felt yourself cumming again. Tears were dripping down your face, your pleasure-addled mind completely lost in itself as he thrusted again and again. But it was getting too much and he abruptly pulled out just as you came.
You squirted, goddamn squirted but without his cock to squeeze around, you had nothing to latch onto. You damn near sobbed as you clawed at his back, trying to work through your orgasm without anything. Luke was panting against your throat, hands digging into the mattress as he tried to calm himself down.
“Luke,” You whined, your orgasm finally having passed and your hand lazily moved to tug at his hair. Every movement was sluggish and slow and your grip was weak but he lifted his head up anyway. Your eyes were barely able to focus on him, tears of pleasure still streaming down your face as you tried to tug him to you, “Please, cum in me, please,” You begged. You rested your forehead against his, pressing soft kisses to his lips between whimpers of ‘please’. Luke’s eyes fell closed as his hand moved to cup your jaw.
“You want me to fill you up?” He asked. You nodded your head as you tugged at his hair with a weak grip. “Please, I’m yours. Want you to show me how much you love me. Want you. Just you, please. Please, I need to feel it,” You were begging breathlessly, not even entirely sure what you were saying. It was just endless babble as you told him that you belonged to him and that you needed him. Luke groaned against your lips before he looked down to line himself back up before he slipped in. You let out a high-pitched whine. Your walls were so sensitive but you didn’t care. You just wanted him to cum, you needed him to.
“Tell me who you belong to,” He whispered against your lips as he began to fuck into you again. His thrusts started off slow and he watched your mouth fall open. Your body gave in to him again as your legs fell from around his waist.
“You, just you. Always belonged to you, Luke,” You rambled. It was almost like a mantra, a chant and you couldn’t think of saying anything else. His name was the only thing your pleasure-addled mind could come out with and his thrusts began to speed up. It wasn’t slow anymore, it was rough and you were being fucked back into the headboard as you whined. Your head was thrown back and his lips attached to your collarbones, biting and sucking at the skin between his groans and pants. Your walls were squeezing around him involuntarily as he thrusted harder and faster, chasing his orgasm. They became less rhythmic and you knew he was going to cum.
“Please, wanna feel you,” You begged as he moved, “I belong to you. Wanna feel you dripping inside me all day.” Luke moaned against your chest, your words making his hips stutter before he buried into you and painted your walls white with his cum. He panted against your collarbone as he thrusted once or twice more before he settled against you. His dick was still buried in you as he collapsed against your body.
His head rested above your heart and he could hear how fast it was beating as he panted, desperately trying to get his breath back.
“Fuck, Luke,” You mumbled softly. He chuckled, his chest rumbling and you whined softly, feeling his dick change positions inside of you, “I can’t- I can’t take anymore,” You muttered after a moment. Your voice was so quiet and fragile. Luke understood what you meant and though he felt boneless from his own orgasm, he lifted up enough to support himself.
“Just breathe, I’m gonna pull out,” He warned you. One hand rested against your face as he slowly pulled his softening dick from you. You whined at the loss, your eyes squeezing shut to prevent tears from falling before you pressed your thighs together. The sticky wetness of your cunt and thighs was something that you were both incredibly familiar with and it made Luke pout when you closed your legs.
“Give me a- give me a minute,” You mumbled, voice cracking. Luke nodded and he moved up so that he was cupping your face.
“It’s okay,” He whispered softly against your lips. You hummed out in response before you let out a ragged breath, “You did so well. You were perfect,” He added. Your shoulders sagged at the praise, the feelings of euphoria somehow becoming even better with his soft praise. His lips moved to kiss your forehead, “You need to get cleaned up though,” He reminded. You whined and shook your head side-to-side, thinking about how overstimulating it would be on your poor abused cunt. You didn’t even want to think about it.
“No, no, no. Let me just. I wanna stay here, let me stay here,” You begged, hands moving to cover your face as the tears began to blur your vision all over again. The very thought of getting out of bed made you want to start crying. Your emotions were all out of whack after the mind-blowing number of orgasms that he had given you. You could feel the lump forming in your throat at even the thought of anything touching your cunt right now.
“Hey, hey,” Luke’s voice softened as he took a gentle hold of your wrist. He had never seen you so emotionally wrecked from him fucking you. He couldn’t help but feel a little guilty. It twinged at his gut but he did his best to ignore it so he could take care of you, “I’m right here. Baby, look at me.” His voice was so soft yet commanding. It was hard not to listen to him as you forced your eyes open and let him take your wrists away. Tears were blurring your vision and a few of them began to fall as he admired you with such love, “What’s wrong?” He asked. You let out a choked sob at his question and your hands moved to tug at his neck, wanting to hold him.
“Too sensitive, don’t, can’t touch it,” You rambled. Luke let you drag him into a hug, letting you hold his hand as he did his best to keep any pressure off your lower half.
“Okay, what about a bath? Nobody has to touch it,” He suggested from where you had forced him onto your chest. You nodded and he smiled softly. He took a hold of your hand, pressing a kiss to your palm before he moved to sit up on his knees, “I’ll run a bath. Just stay here,” He said. You nodded but your lip was quivering. It was clear that you didn’t want him to leave but he knew that he needed to get you both cleaned up in whatever way he could. His own thighs and dick were covered in your slick and as much as he loved the feeling, he also knew that he needed to clean it up at some point.
Once Luke had disappeared into the bathroom, you curled up on your side. Your cunt was still so sensitive and the only way you could stop feeling the twinge was by relaxing your thighs. It took everything in you to concentrate on that so your emotions were going haywire.
You wanted Luke back with you in bed, you needed his touch and even though he was only the room over, you began to cry. It was soft at first, little hiccuping sobs before they got louder. You needed to be with Luke and so, you pushed yourself off the bed.
Your legs were shaky, like jelly, from the way he’d fucked you and you were barely able to keep yourself upright but you used the dresser and the walls of your bedroom to get to the ensuite. You were still sobbing, they were soft but ugly noises as you pushed the door open. Luke’s head snapped up and his face broke into a frown when he saw your disheveled state.
“What, what happened? Are you okay?” He asked quickly. You stumbled over to him before wrapping your arms around him.
“Just needed you,” You managed between soft hiccuping sobs. He was still frowning as he wrapped you up in a hug. He had never seen you like this after sex. It honestly terrified him and the guilt was wrapping him up. You were sobbing, covered in marks and he knew that you liked it. He knew that it didn’t bother you and you would have used the safe word if something went too far that you didn’t like but you hadn’t. He didn’t know what to think.
“Did I hurt you?” Luke asked as he wrapped you up in his arms. You shook your head.
“Felt so good,” You mumbled between hiccups. His hand ran soothing circles across your back and it was calming the tears down, “Felt so good but wanted to be with you. I didn’t want to be without you. Just needed your arms around me.” You were rambling, your emotions really were haywire. Luke didn’t know what to think and so he just caressed your hair and rubbed your back until your sobs had subsided.
The bath was also drawn and so he switched the taps off before he let you towards it. He insisted that you get in first and so, you slipped into the water. It was warm and you instantly felt so much better. It soothed your frayed nerves but when you looked at Luke, he seemed hesitant to join you. His mouth was set into a frown.
“What’s wrong?” You asked softly. Your eyes were still red and puffy and your cheeks were tear-streaked but Luke made you feel better. He had made everything so much better. You reached out for his hand but he seemed hesitant to touch it, “Please, get in the bath,” You mumbled, feeling your eyes get teary again. You were beginning to think that you had done something wrong and the terror gripped you, “Please,” Your voice cracked. Luke was quick to kneel down on the bathroom floor so he was on the same level as you. His hand held you.
“Did I cross a line?” He asked, voice serious. You shook your head. Your mind was so scrambled but that was one thing you were sure of, “I need words.” Your head fell forward and you swallowed the lump in your throat.
“I would have said something. You didn’t, you didn’t cross a line. Please, I want you here. Please,” You were practically begging for him and even if you were still an emotional wreck, he noted that it was the most put together you had sounded since he had cum.
With a reluctant nod of his head, he got up to his feet and slipped into the bath behind you. Within seconds, you had curled up on his chest and you rested your head against his pec. You were just glad that he was here.
The two of you stayed in the bath until the water was cold, sitting in comfortable silence apart from when you mumbled to each other about cleaning up. Luke had done his best to be gentle as he washed your thighs and your cunt was less sensitive which meant he was able to gently wipe across it. Your clit twitched but otherwise, you felt fine.
You were then able to turn your attention to him and as you came back from the emotional wreck that Luke’s fucking had made you, you cleaned him up. You started with his thighs before you spread water across his chest and arms. You kissed his face, showing him all that love that he wanted and as the bath went on, the rigidness of his shoulders began to relax.
Once you had both gotten out, he seemed to have fully relaxed again. You were also feeling more sober and sane than you had all night. Luke helped you dry off and then he gave you his shirt to wear to bed. You didn’t argue, you never would. You loved his shirts and when you slipped it on, you felt at ease. Luke also loved to see you in his shirts. It made him grin and when you looked at him with those adoring features, he couldn’t help the smile that overtook him.
The two of you slipped into bed after Luke changed the sheets and when you were safely snuggled up to him, he broached the question again. It was clear that Luke was a little surprised by just how fucked out you had been and when he asked if what he did was okay, you once again reassured him that you loved it.
You also confessed that you had never felt so turned on and he had pulled more orgasms from you than any man ever had. That did boost Luke’s ego a little but he was still concerned. You had been so emotional and you told him that you were only crying because you missed him and wanted to hug him. You reassured him over and over again that you had never been in pain and even let it slip that you wouldn’t mind him doing that again.
That was probably what surprised Luke the most. Considering how sensitive and upset you had been and how desperate you were for nobody to touch your cunt, you wanted to feel it again. That’s what finally soothed Luke’s guilty conscience. It was the way that you smirked over it, giggling to yourself at the thought of him fucking you like that again.
“I hope it wasn’t a one time thing,” You muttered as you traced shapes across his abdomen. You were tracing stars and squares and triangles and swirly patterns, trying not to think too much about how good it felt. If you thought too much, you’d be wet again and you’d wanna beg Luke to fuck you until you couldn’t think straight again. But considering how freaked out it made Luke, you didn’t want to put him through that again. Not until he was ready, “You can do that again whenever you want,” You added, “But if you never want to do it again, I understand.” Luke’s hand moved to your chin and he lifted up your jaw. “If you want me to do it again, I’m more than happy but not tonight,” He responded before he pressed a soft, slow, long kiss to your lips. He pulled back and you whined softly, wishing that maybe it could have lasted longer.
“Maybe not tonight,” You muttered. He hummed out in response before pressing a kiss to your temple and settling back into bed. You were exhausted, it was beginning to seep back in and the conversation continued until you fell asleep curled against his side.

𝘿𝘼𝙔 𝙎𝙄𝙓: Spit-Roasting w/ Spencer Reid [ft. Luke Alvez]
a/n: y'all this one actually FLABBERGASTED me... my mind will never fail to surprise me, and if i'm going to be honest, i listened to metal/heavy metal music the whole time and it helped me to stay focused for the actual hour it took me to write this 😭
masterlist | kinktober masterlist | AO3
A perfect sandwich is what you’d like to call this.
Cradled between the bodies of two of the hottest Agents of your team is a sure fire way to spend your night, and you’re more than pleased.
Spencer’s lying below you, your knees settled on either side of his hips as your lips are met in a heated embrace. You’re as naked as the day you were born and he is too, his hardness barely poking at your full stomach.
You’re bent over him with Luke behind you, a heavy hand pressing down your lower back as he works you open with two big fingers. You’re moaning helplessly into the genius’ mouth, your nails digging into the pillows besides his head.
“Luke!” You pull away with a breathless moan, throwing back your head at particularly hard drag to your g-spot. “‘Feel good, sweetheart?” You can hear the cocky lilt to his voice, his nice, full lips no doubtedly pulled up into that familiar, cheeky smirk.
“Fuck – you’re such an asshole.” You swear and he just chuckles. “Yeah, yeah, say that to me when I’m not knuckle deep inside you, ‘kay?”
You grumble, but nevertheless reconnect your lips with Spencer’s who are pulled taunt in an attempt to hide his amusement. “Don’t –” You choke when Luke begins to draw circles tightly on your clit.
“Don’t encourage him.” Your words trail off in a whine.
“Sorry, baby.” Spencer says, but he doesn’t even sound all that sorry, but you’ll make him. You prop yourself on your right forearm while the other one trails down to grasp at his long cock, up stroking him just to hear that pleasurable sound of the air getting punched out of him.
“Shit!” He swears, his own neck extending back, and you connect your lips to the tanned skin there, nibbling relentlessly.
“So much for no marks, huh?” Luke pokes from behind you. “Don’t act like you didn’t get your turn.” You mumble just loud enough for him to hear.
You make sure that Spencer’s skin is painted red by the time you pull away, your strokes matching each time you roll the delicate skin between your teeth.
“Stop, stop. Not gonna last long.” He removes your hand, and you huff.
“Get back here then, Spence.” Luke sounds. “She’s had a real smart mouth all night, might have to put it to good use, don’t you think?”
Spencer raises a brow at his dominance but agrees, “Alright.”
Your skin heats at the implications of his words, and you’re dragged by your hips, Luke rearranging you so that he can step in front of you. You squeak and your knees burn at the sheets rubbing them, but it makes you shiver.
They settle into their respective places, Spencer’s lithe, long fingers holding your waist deeply contrast the roughness that is Luke Alvez.
Your eyes rest on Luke’s large cock bobbing in front of you, and you raise a brow. “Why hello, big boy.” You murmur with a small smirk. Your eyes flutter upwards to meet his, and he’s looking at you expectantly.
It’s clear you’ve gotten on his nerves, and you can’t help the feeling of sick satisfaction that spreads throughout you. Normally, Luke’s gentle during your encounters together, two men softly worship your body.
But not tonight. Nay, tonight, you wanted it rough, you wanted it mean, you wanted it hard.
“You’re no fun.” You pout but, open your mouth to engulf it over his precum covered tip, digging your tongue into the slit of it. He grunts, large fingers winding themselves through your hair to anchor you to him.
Spencer caresses the skin of your waist all the way down the sides of your thighs before trialing up to spread your ass, watching as his long cock sinks into you.
“God,” He groans, “You feel perfect.” His head is bowed downwards a bit, his eyes screwed shut.
You’re no better, now feverishly licking at the pulsing skin of Luke’s dick, taking him down as far as you can – which sadly isn’t very far considering the sheer girth of the man – but you pick up where you lack by jerking him off.
Luke hisses, eyes practically boring into where your mouth connects to him, and he gives an experimental rock of his hips. You choke for a moment, and you pull off of him, understanding what he needs.
“Fuck my throat please.” It’s a needy mewl, and you retake him into your throat, sinking, sinking, sinking, waiting for him to catch up. “You already know what to do if it’s too much.” You just hum, gripping him by his muscular thighs.
Spencer begins to set a pace, and every time he pulls out, so does Luke, until they’re met up in perfect harmony with one another, using your body as they please. You’re moaning, and the noises that are leaving the three of you are downright sinful. If this was a porno, you’re sure you would make millions.
Tears burn in your eyes and spit foams at the corner of your mouth, but that doesn’t stop you from relaxing your throat to take in more of him. Spencer keeps hitting your g-spot with coordinated ease. He pretty much knows your body like the back of his hand.
You feel the coiling of your gut signaling your end, and your walls flutter around the older male behind you. Your breathing stutters and your nails dig into Luke’s thighs.
He’s pulsing in your mouth, and Spencer’s hips are stuttering, growing less deliberate and uncontrolled as he begins to grind into you. You disconnect from Luke’s cock, your chest heaving. A dribble of spit draws a bridge from your lips to his tip.
“‘M close, fuck, ‘m so close.” You cry out, and your head falls forward to land on the man’s firm stomach. Spencer begins thrusting into you faster.
“I got you, sweet girl. Just a little more.”
You’re jerking Luke off as fast as you can, and your wrist burns, but you pay it no mind as you lean up.
Luke is groaning something guttural, feral, and your eyes nearly roll into the back of your head.
“Cum on my face. Please… I need it.”
“Anything you want.” Is his grunted response.
The three of you are frantic in your movements, desperate to meet your ends.
Luke comes first, cum shooting out and hitting your lips and chin, as well as your eyelashes as he trembles and shakes, the hand on your head holding a death grip of your scalp.
Spencer’s next to follow, and a hand finds itself between the two of you to find your swollen clit, and rubbing, rubbing, rubbing, until you gush all over him with a loud cry that could practically be considered a scream.
It’s silent for a moment and you fall forward, chest heaving and finding solace in the cool feelings of the sheet contrasting with what of Luke’s skin.
“Everyone alright?” Luke is the first to ask.
“Just peachy.” You hum, wiggling to get comfortable as Spencer pulls out of you.

Luke Alvez x Reader: Promise You'll Call
Prompt: hi first i just want to say i love you writing so much. Do you think you could write something where luke finds out the reader’s significant other is harming them (mentally or physically)? I understand this is a rough topic but i was just going through a hard time with flashbacks. I understand if you can’t, thank you!
Word count: 7k (idk how this got to be so long)
Warnings: DV mention (in detail), blood tw
A/N: ayyyyooo, it's been forever since i've posted, but enjoy! i wanted to post, so i haven't proof read yet, so please excuse any grammatical mistakes, I'll go back and fix tomorrow :)

Luke honestly didn’t mean to eavesdrop. It just so happened that he was still in his truck, finishing up the burnt bagel he’d made in a rush this morning when you pulled into the parking garage. At first, Luke didn’t recognize that it was you in the black BMW that stopped in the middle of the garage, right behind his own truck. But when he peeked through his rearview mirror, he saw you sitting in the passenger seat, tucking a curtain of hair behind your ear.
Luke’s stomach flipped, the same way it did every time he saw you.
Except this time, he actually felt guilty for it, because he was pretty sure the guy driving the car was your boyfriend. Luke was new to the team in the last year, and while he’d done a pretty good job getting to know everyone at the BAU, he still hadn’t met partners or family yet. You were one of the few agents who never talked about your personal life at work.
But even though Luke couldn’t see the man driving the car, as soon as you cracked open the passenger side door, he certainly heard him.
Was it even considered eavesdropping if the entire parking garage could hear?
“I’m not done talking!” The man’s voice echoed across the entire garage, causing Luke to straighten in his seat.
“Will you lower your voice?” You snapped back in a hushed tone, before looking around the space, clearly embarrassed.
“Don’t fucking tell me what to do!”
“The whole city is going to hear you, Justin, please.”
“I don’t care if they do– get back in the fucking car!”
Something in Luke’s chest began boiling at the sound of his tone. Did he always speak to you that way? He fought back the urge to peel himself out of his truck. You were his coworker– not his girlfriend. It wasn’t his place to knock this guy down a few pegs, no matter how badly he wanted to.
“I have nothing else to say to you right now–”
“Good, don’t talk. Fucking listen for once in your life!”
“You’re being ridiculous,” you said, voice eerily calm. It was like you were almost used to this kind of fighting– like you knew the exact steps to take to attempt de-escalating him. “I have to get to work. We’ll talk about this later.”
“If you shut that fucking door, you’re walking home. I swear to–” but the man’s voice was abruptly cut off by you shutting the door.
Luke secretly felt proud as he watched you turn and walk away from the BMW without looking back.
Suddenly, music blared through the speakers of the car before Luke heard tires squealing while the car drove away. Luke remained in place while he heard your footsteps fade into the distance, not wanting to embarrass you further or let you know he’d been heard the entire conversation that just played out.
But while he gave you a moment to catch the elevator without him, Luke didn’t like the feeling that settled in his stomach. If your boyfriend acted like that in the middle of the bureaus parking garage, what the hell was he like behind closed doors?
…
You fought back tears for the entire elevator ride. Thank God no one got into the lift with you, so you at least had a moment of peace before having to pull everything together.
Justin woke up mad– again. That had been a regular occurrence for the last year. And for the last month, he’d been convinced you were cheating on him. With zero evidence aside from a “hunch” he was apparently going on, there was no amount of convincing or location sharing or reminding him that your job came with sporadic hours that would change his mind. And things were getting worse. Each day it felt like he was angrier– more out of control. And each day you told yourself that you could handle it. You were literally trained on how to de-escalate murderers, for God’s sake. But this morning, when you woke up to not one, but four flat tires on the car you parked in the garage, you knew things were escalating again.
As the elevator climbed, your phone suddenly pinged in your pocket. You pulled it out to read the text back from your mother. You’d reached out to her earlier, letting her know what you’d suspected– that Justin had slashed your tires so that you couldn’t take your own car to work.
Mom: He wouldn’t do that. I know you are going through a rough patch, but Justin’s a good man. Did you reach out to that couple’s therapist I told you about?
You let out a sigh.
Typical.
Justin had worked at the local hospital with your father before he retired. As a world-wide renowned cardiovascular surgeon with a strong handshake and charismatic demeanor, he could do no wrong in your parent’s eyes.
In the few instances you actually had reached out to them for support in the last year, the burden always fell back on you. What had you done to piss him off? What were you doing to mitigate the situation? You should have learned by now not to reach out to either one of them. You wouldn’t get the response you wanted.
The elevator slowly climbed and you knew you had to pull it together. Deep breath in, deep breath out. You reached the fifth floor and stepped out of the elevator, trying to forget about everything that had just happened.
Within an hour, a new case rolled in. You sat around the round table and listened to Emily give the rundown while Garcia clicked through slides of gruesome crime scenes she blatantly refused to even glimpse at . You tried to pay attention– to compartmentalize your home life like you had always been so good at doing. But as soon as you heard that the case was in Idaho– across the country, worry began creeping back inside of you. One of the biggest problems that Justin had was your constant travel for work. Although he was allowed to put in consistent, 16-hour days at the hospital, he got upset every time you told him where your next case was.
Which, honestly, you understood. When you took the job with the BAU, you never expected to have much of a life outside of it. You were gone more than you were home, and you knew that sort of lifestyle wasn’t for everyone. Except when you met him, Justin had known what you did for work. You didn’t lie or keep it a secret. He said he was okay with the traveling and the long hours. Until he wasn’t.
Suddenly, there was a gentle tap on your shoulder. Every thought racing through your mind blew away and you refocused on the present moment.
“Everything okay?” It was Luke asking.
You looked around to realize that everyone else was packing up their belongings to board the jet. Turning to face Luke, you nodded. “Yeah, sorry. Just daydreaming, I guess.”
“Daydreaming with those crime scenes in the background?” he asked, nodding towards the gruesome picture still up on the screen. “You’ll have to teach me how to do that.”
You let out a breath of laughter. Luke hadn’t been on the team for long, but you realized within a few weeks of knowing him that he always knew how to make people laugh– no matter what was going on in the world around you. That was one of the many reasons he fit in so effortlessly with the team.
“We can do a mindfulness class sometime,” you joked.
He smiled, dimples popping from his dark, smooth skin. “I’d attend consistently.”
Something fluttered in your stomach.
You just chalked it up to stress and nerves.
…
Luke was supposed to be reviewing the case on the flight. Instead, he couldn’t stop watching you. Out of all the open seats, you chose one right across from him. You had the file open on your lap while your eyes scanned the page. Luke could tell you weren’t reading either, though, because the jet had already been airborne for almost half an hour and you hadn’t flipped the page.
Meanwhile, Reid, who was to Luke’s right, had already read the entire file, front to back, probably three times by now.
“Can you give me the Sparknotes version?” Luke leaned over and asked him.
“What’s Sparknotes?” Reid asked, no hint of humor in his voice.
Luke’s jaw fell open. “Aren’t you supposed to be a genius or something?”
“I don’t really think that intelligence can be measured or quantified in the way humans have tried to in the past. Technically I have an eidetic memory, which allows me to recall information with accurate precision. Meaning I’d actually have to see the information once to be able to recall it. I’ve never seen a Sparknote… or whatever you called it.”
A smirk spread across your lips, your eyes darting up to meet Luke’s.
Luke shook his head in disbelief, offering you a small smile before turning back to Spencer. He’d been with the team nearly a year now and he still hadn’t gotten used to Reid’s demeanor. He wondered if he ever would.
“You never had to Google the summary of a book when you were younger?”
Reid gave Luke a perplexed look. “Why would I do that if I have the book in front of me?”
“Because it’s faster.”
“I can read–”
“20 thousand words a minute,” Rossi interrupted as he walked by with an empty cup of coffee. “Yeah, we know, kid.”
He placed a free hand on Luke’s shoulder, patting it gently. “I have no idea what prompted this conversation, but trust me when I say it’s not worth it.”
Luke heard you stifle a laugh as Rossi walked past.
…
You’d been on edge the entire plane ride. Justin never responded to your message, letting him know you’d be away for at least the next couple of days on a case. Maybe he was in the OR today, or maybe the hospital’s cell service was just spotty.
Or maybe he really was just that mad at you.
You knew the way he treated you was wrong. You recognized the red flags that had been staring you right in the face. But slashing your tires? Maybe your mom was right– maybe there was another explanation. Because no matter how much he yelled, or got in your face, or tried to intimidate you, you really didn’t think there was any way he could do that.
You hated being this distracted while you worked. Emily was having to repeat instructions for you, JJ was throwing you worried glances, Spencer had asked three times now if you were okay… It was like you were the one being profiled in Idaho.
Of course that wasn’t really the case, though. You were in Sun Valley because of a string of murdered women, each left dumped and discarded in ditches off the parkway. Each with ligature markings around their necks. Each with evidence of sexual assault. And each deserving of your undivided attention.
You tried your best to give it to them. But in reality, when the case finally wrapped up six days after you’d arrived, you knew that everyone had picked up your slack.
And while you were grateful to be part of a team that could pick up the slack of others, you hated that you had to utilize it.
‘Unbelievable.’
That had been the only message you received from Justin the entire week you were away. You sent a practical novel back– trying to apologize and explain your side. Then you tried calling at least twice a day. But each time you went straight to his voicemail. Normally, space wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Except the jet was about to land back at Quantico, and you were terrified of what was next.
Not to mention you had no ride home.
“Hey,” a soothing voice suddenly said, stirring you from your thoughts.
When you glanced up, you saw Luke gesturing towards the open seat across from you.
“You mind? Everyone else is asleep.”
For a moment, you looked around the jet and noticed that Luke was right. Practically everyone was sprawled out or curled up against a window, passed out. You couldn’t blame them. It had been a rough case. If circumstances were different and you weren’t currently overthinking everything in your life, you’d probably be passed out too.
Eventually you turned back to Luke and nodded. “You couldn't sleep?” You asked him.
He shook his head. “Nah. I never sleep on planes. I think it’s a control-thing. I can never calm myself down enough to actually sleep.”
You frowned. “Now that you say that, I’ve never actually seen you sleep on the jet.”
“And you probably never will.”
You grinned back. “Does that mean I’ll never get to know if Luke Alvez snores?”
“I’m afraid that information is classified,” he smirked.
“Such a tease.”
Luke let out a low chuckle before casually leaning forward in his seat. “I did want to see if everything was okay, though.”
“What do you mean?” You asked, probably sounding too defensive.
He shrugged. “I mean you just didn’t seem yourself this week. Not in a bad way or anything– just off.”
Shit. You knew it had been noticeable. But even still, the small part of you that was hoping it wasn’t deflated at Luke’s words. You actually debated telling him everything, which was so out of the norm for you lately. Ever since you and Justin had been having problems, you’d turned into a shell of who you used to be– you never hung out with Penn, Emily, or JJ anymore. You never had time for getting your ass kicked at chess on the jet with Reid, because you were too busy worrying if Justin was mad at you for leaving. You never joined everyone at Rossi’s evening dinners because you felt guilty for spending nights that you were home away from the house and Justin would never go with you.
Suddenly, the harsh reality slapped you right in the face: You didn’t like who you were becoming. You didn’t like who you were when you were with Justin. The thought made you want to curl up and hide from the world– from Luke. But there was something about the way he looked at you– so earnest and intentional, like he was hanging onto every word, like he actually wanted to be someone you could trust, that felt prevented you from doing so.
“You’re chewing on your lip,” Luke pointed out. “That’s how I always know when you’re overthinking.”
You relaxed your jaw instantly. That’s how he always knew? How often was Luke paying attention to your moods and mannerisms? The thought made something flutter in your stomach, but not in the anxious way it had been fluttering recently. This was softer– less scary.
“Stupid profilers,” you muttered under your breath, desperate to break through whatever tension was boiling between the two of you.
It was enough to earn a chuckle from Luke. “We are pretty annoying, aren’t we?” He sat back in his chair, cracking his knuckles casually. “You know, my last two girlfriends have broken up with me because of this job. One was serious– the last one, not so much. But still. They said it was too demanding– that I couldn’t make them a priority. I don’t know if you remember the Orlando case last fall. The one with–”
“The fourteen year old boy. We were too late to save him, but we got his sister,” you finished for him. “I remember.” Not only did you remember, but that very same case had been burned into your brain for months.
Luke nodded. “Yeah. Well, when we got back from that case, that’s when she broke up with me. She said she was trying to deal with me being gone all the time. But if I couldn’t even be present when I was home, she was done. God, I had nightmares about that case for weeks– still do sometimes.”
You gazed at him sympathetically. Unfortunately, his story wasn’t that out of the norm. Aside from you, everyone on the team in a relationship was already married. Once you had a solid, established relationship, most times it was doable. But the reality was, it was hard to date someone and be part of the BAU.
“I’m sorry,” you said softly.
“Don’t be,” he waved you off. “They were right. I put my job first. And I’d like to think that the person I’m supposed to be with would understand how important this work is to me, even if each case takes a little piece from me.”
You thought about Justin– always criticizing, always making comments and remarks about how much you worked. You thought about the last few weeks and all the late nights you’d sat and done unnecessary paper at your desk just to avoid going home to him.
“Or maybe you’d actually want to make the person you’re supposed to be with the priority,” you suggested softly without meeting Luke’s gaze.
Luke had just been so vulnerable with you– telling you about his relationship problems like you were someone he could confide in. And the scary part was, you liked it. You liked being someone he came to with these types of things. You wished he’d do it more.
Justin never confided in you– never let you confide in him, either. You stared intently down at your lap and wondered what it would feel like to have someone who would.
“Justin and I– we’re having some issues.”
Finally, you dared to look up at Luke. His brown eyes looked black in the dimly lit jet, but they still glistened as he listened. “He’s just so mad at me,” you whispered, voice faltering. You’d barely said anything, but you could already feel all of the emotions you’d been masking and forcing down start to bubble towards the surface. “All the time. And I don’t know what to do about it. I don’t know if I want to do anything about it.”
Luke leaned forward again, his elbows resting on his knees while he wound his fingers together. “I heard him when he dropped you off in the garage the other day,” Luke said honestly. Instantly, you felt heat rise to your cheeks. “I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, I swear, I was just waiting in my car because I was early and well–”
You took a shaky breath, embarrassed beyond belief. “Anyone in the vicinity would have heard him that day.”
Luke’s voice lowered. “Does he always talk to you like that?”
Yes, you thought.
“No. That was just a bad morning.”
Luke nodded, but pursed his lips like he didn’t quite believe you. “I know it isn’t my place, but you don’t deserve that. I mean, fuck, no one does. But especially you.”
You smiled softly, trying to believe that he was right– that you didn’t deserve Justin’s harsh comments or anger. And on some level, you knew you didn’t. But another part of you always wondered why you didn’t try harder– why you didn’t care if he ended things or not.
“Thanks Luke.”
He nodded, leaning back once again. You gazed out the jet window, seeing familiar city lights in the distance. You’d be landing soon. And then it was back to whatever grim reality faced you at home.
“You don’t have your car today, do you?” Luke asked suddenly, stirring you from your thoughts.
You shook your head. “Uh no. When I went to leave for work, my tires were flat.”
“All of them?” he asked, sounding shocked.
“All of them.”
“What’d you do, park in a pile of glass?”
“No, I think they were slashed.”
Luke’s eyes widened, a wave of concern washing over his face. “You don’t think–”
“I have no proof,” you said, knowing instantly what Luke was implying before he even said it. “But yes.”
“Jesus–”
You took a slow, steadying breath, doing your best not to fall apart in front of Luke.
“I think your place is on my way home,” Luke said after a moment. “I can give you a ride.”
You looked up, instantly ready to decline the generous offer. Luke was good– too good. And you didn’t want to ruin whatever type of friendship was blossoming between you by being too needy right from the start.
“Don’t even try to say no,” he spoke first. “Please let me give you a ride.”
By habit, you chewed on your lower lip.
“Don’t overthink it,” he said quietly. “I wouldn’t have offered if it was going to be an inconvenience.”
You felt guilty– you really couldn’t help it, and you weren’t used to accepting help from others. But something about Luke’s tone was so earnest, you believed him. He wouldn’t have offered if he didn’t expect you to say yes. After a moment, you nodded slowly. “Okay,” your head hung, gaze falling to your lap. “Thank you.”
The two of you spent the final minutes of the jet ride sitting quietly, gazes fixated out the window as the pilot landed you safely back in Quantico. When the lights flickered on, your other team members stirred in their seats with exhausted sighs and groans. You grabbed your go bag and followed closely behind Luke as he stepped off the plane.
“Need anything inside?” he asked.
You shook your head. “No, I’m good.”
With that, he adjusted the bag on his shoulder and veered towards the parking garage with you just strides behind him.
Luke made small talk on the ride home. It was like he knew how nervous you were to see Justin and was trying to lighten the mood. You mostly just smiled and nodded in response, and felt grateful when Luke didn’t pressure you or point this out. Only when you got close enough to offer him instructions to your house did you actually utter any words.
Then, before you knew it, Luke was putting his truck in park on the street near your house. You swallowed thickly as soon as you saw Justin’s car in the driveway and a single light still on in the house.
The harsh reality was that you had no idea what to expect when you walked through those doors. But here… now… sitting in this truck with Luke, you felt safe. It was hard to leave that.
But of course you had to. Luke couldn’t wait here all night.
“Thanks for the ride,” you said softly, trying to conceal how shaky your voice sounded.
“I don’t mean to overstep,” he said quickly. “But… I just– I mean, I don’t feel good about leaving you here.”
You shook your head quickly. Again, not wanting to feel like a burden. “I’m fine. It’ll be fine. He can be controlling and he gets angry– but he’d never hurt me or anything.”
Luke nodded, although the furrow in his brow told you he didn’t quite believe you.
“You have my number. Promise me you’ll call if you need anything.”
You weren’t used to this kind of generosity. But before you could overthink things, you nodded earnestly, believing that you would actually call him if it came to that. If nothing else, Luke had proven how trustworthy he was in the last few hours alone.
“Alright,” he nodded carefully as you slid out of the front seat of his truck, feet colliding with the pavement.
“Thanks again,” you did your best to muster up a genuine smile.
The corner of his lip tugged up slightly, but concern was still plastered over his face. “See you on Monday then.”
“Monday,” you agreed.
With that, you closed the door– putting a literal wall between you and the only person who had made you feel safe in the last week.
You turned towards your house, the knots in your stomach tightening with each passing moment. When you reached the front door, you turned one last time to see Luke leaned forward, eyes trained on you. Your chest softened when you realized he was waiting for you to get inside safely before driving off. Offering him one, final wave, you turned to unlock the front door.
When you first stepped inside your house– everything looked normal. The light above the stove was on and the fridge hummed softly. You placed your duffel bag on the floor and stepped into the kitchen for some water. As you filled up a glass, you began to wonder if maybe you’d overreacted. Maybe Justin had been busy with work this week– just like you’d been.
But your wishful thinking was short lived.
Because the second you turned away from the faucet, you nearly jumped out of your skin at the sight of Justin– standing on the other side of the island counter. You hadn’t even heard him approach you.
“Jesus, Justin–” you gasped, setting your glass of water down on the counter. “You scared me.”
Instead of replying, his eyes just narrowed. He looked angry– angrier than you’d ever seen him. An eerie chill crept down your spine, sending an eruption of goosebumps across your skin.
“Where were you?” he asked, voice menacing and icy.
“I told you– there was a case–”
His hands slammed down on the counter, causing you to take a step back as you jumped.
“Don’t lie to me!”
“I’m not lying–” you said quickly, trying to keep your own voice even. You knew how important it would be to remain calm.
But despite your efforts, Justin swiped his hand across the counter, sending your cup of water colliding into the wall, where it shattered.
You winced, unable to completely contain your shock. Because despite the yelling and the screaming, Justin had never done that before. Something inside of you told you that you had to leave… now– but you couldn’t react in time. Because before you could even turn your body to head towards the door, he was already turning the corner around the island, eliminating the only barrier between you and his violent outburst.
“Where are you going, huh?” he challenged. “Gonna take off again?”
“I was at work, Justin– I told you that.”
He took another step closer to you, sending you a step backwards. Like a choreographed dance, you alternated steps until you heard the crunch of glass beneath your shoes. You’d reached the wall. You were cornered.
Panic flooded through you. And suddenly, logic went out the window. You couldn’t think rationally– you couldn’t problem solve. Everything just went blank.
“Who brought you home tonight, hm?”
He was close enough that you could smell the alcohol melting off his breath. You lowered your head, trying to appear as submissive as you could– because what the hell else were you supposed to do?
“I saw the truck– the white one? Who the fuck was that?”
“Just someone from work,” you answered quickly.
“Just someone from work, huh?” He took another step forward. There was practically no space between the two of you now. “Look at me when you talk.”
You were trembling so hard, you couldn’t follow his commands as fast as he wanted.
“I said–” he snapped harshly. Instantly, you felt fingers wrapping around your throat, forcing your head up. Justin’s hand squeezed, cutting air off. “Look at me when you talk.”
His grip tightened. “Go ahead– say it. Tell me where you were.”
You opened your mouth, but you couldn’t even get air in your lungs, let alone formulate words.
Justin’s eyebrow raised. For a moment, he actually looked like he was enjoying this.
“No?” he asked. “Nothing? Are you finally done lying to me?”
You tried to inhale– but when nothing came, more panic settled in your stomach. You squirmed, needing air fast. Your hands raised to grab his forearm, desperate for him to let go. You tried to breathe again– but when air still didn’t come, you dug your nails into his skin without thinking– scratching him, hoping that would help. Except, you were so panicked, you had no concept of how hard you actually scratched him. Your nails broke through the skin– causing him to release your throat.
“You bitch,” he hissed. Before you could even take a breath, you felt something collide with the side of your face, sending your head whipping to the side.
Your head hung for a moment while your brain tried to comprehend what was happening.
Justin had hit you– and there was currently something warm dripping down the side of your head. As you were hunched over, you felt something then collide with your stomach– hard. His knee maybe? You couldn’t tell–
“You let some man drive you home to my house!” he yelled, hand closing around your throat again. This time, he launched you backwards, whipping your head into the wall forcefully. “And then you come in and you fucking lie about it?”
You grasped at his wrist– not scratching, but trying to get him to loosen his grip. You couldn’t breathe– no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t breathe.
“Please,” you tried to say, but all that came out was a gasp.
You attempted to look at him– hoping he could see how sincere you were being. But when you gazed up, your stomach just dropped. His eyes were menacing– black, empty. He looked like he could kill you right here and now and not care in the slightest.
Justin’s grip tightened, you could feel each individual finger as it dug deeper into your skin, cutting off your airway– crushing your windpipe.
You were going to die– You were going to die and there was nothing you could do to stop it.
You dug your nails into his skin again, you flailed– you slapped with what energy you had left. But nothing was working. Your vision was blurring– dark edges starting to create a tunnel around the world. He was too strong– and you were going to die.
Until suddenly, with no warning, Justin’s grip loosened.
Instantly, you slid to the floor– coughing and choking as you gasped for air.
You waited for whatever would come next– a kick to the ribs, something clattering over your head. But instead, you heard his footsteps retreating.
You willed yourself to look up– through foggy vision clouded by tears, you saw Justin backing out of the kitchen, his eyes wide.
“I-I–” he stammered. “I didn’t–” For a moment he paused, like he was frozen in place, before shaking his head.
You were too focused on trying to breathe regularly again to make sense of the look of remorse seemingly on his face before he darted out of the room.
Although he was out of your sight, you knew Justin couldn’t be far. And you knew that, despite the fact that you were sputtering and could barely breathe, you had to get out of that house. With what little strength you had left, you pushed yourself off the floor. Your back throbbed from being thrown against the wall, while a wave of dizziness overcame you. You all but staggered to where you’d dropped your bag earlier, doing a quick scan of the room before grabbing the strap and hauling it over your shoulder.
You hurried to the front door, hand on the knob, when you paused.
Where the hell were you supposed to go?
And then Luke’s words from earlier flashed through your mind.
Promise me you’ll call if you need anything.
You couldn’t– you thought. You’d already asked him for so much. But he did make you promise. And honestly, you couldn’t think of anyone in the world aside from him that you’d talk to about what had just happened.
Suddenly, you heard movement from upstairs.
You didn’t have time to toggle back and forth. You had to make a decision.
Before you could second guess anything, you grabbed your phone from your pocket, pulled up Luke’s contact info, and hurried out the door.
…
The second your name flashed across his screen, Luke knew he shouldn’t have left. Granted, he was only four minutes down the road– but he wished he had listened to his gut and just stayed.
He slid his thumb across the screen. “Hello?”
He was met by an eerie silence.
“Hello?” he repeated.
“Luke–” Your voice sounds so small– so choked up. “I’m sorry– I–”
He waited a moment, hanging on to each word you spoke like it was a prayer.
“Could you– maybe… could you come back? I’m so sorry– I–”
Luke was already turning his truck around before you could finish your choppy sentence.
“I’m on my way,” he assured you. “Stay right there, okay?”
He was pretty sure he heard you agree before the line went dead. But regardless, Luke was back at your house in an instant. The second he put his truck in park, he was already undoing his seatbelt and launching himself out of the car.
He had no idea what he was walking into– all he knew was that he had to get you out of there. What the hell could this asshole have said to you to have you so shaken up over the phone?
He imagined knocking on the door– finding you tear streaked and trembling. It made his insides roar with anger before even seeing you.
Except, when Luke turned the corner of his truck. He didn’t have to reach the front door to see you. He didn’t even have to walk across your lawn. Instead, you were hunched over on the curb, face buried in your hands while your whole body shook.
Luke’s shoulders fell– your name tumbling from his lips as he approached you.
He had prepared for trembling– he had prepared for crying. But what he wasn’t prepared for, was seeing your face, bloodied and bruised when you looked up at him.
He stopped dead in his tracks, everything inside of him turning to ice at the sight.
“Where is he?” Luke managed to choke out. His voice sounded muffled and distant in his own ears.
You let out a shaky breath before attempting to smile– like you were trying to somehow convince him that you were okay. The cut on your lip stretched as you did, making you wince. “Inside,” you whispered.
He nodded once. As much as he didn’t want to leave you out here alone, Luke couldn’t help himself.
“I’ll kill him,” he said through gritted teeth. And just like that, he was off– taking long strides towards the front door. He had no idea what your house looked like– no idea where he’d find that asshole lurking. All Luke knew was that he was going to pay for what he did to you.
He had tunnel vision– the only thing in front of him was a blind, rageful desire to hurt that piece of shit as much as he had hurt you. He was narrowing in on the front door– just a few steps away… until he heard something break through the fog.
It was you– your voice so soft and broken, calling out to him desperately. He turned around, blinders widening to see you standing on the lawn, chest heaving and tears falling down your cheeks quickly.
“Please Luke–” you begged. “Please don’t. I want to leave. Please, can we leave?”
He paused, but only for a second before all of his anger melted away in an instant.
He nodded, knowing right there– in that moment, that he would do absolutely anything for you at the drop of a hat. In a few quick steps, he was back at your side, hand hovering near your lower back just in case you needed extra support.
“We can go,” he said gently, purposely keeping his voice as calm as he could. “Let’s get you in the truck.”
After only a couple of steps, Luke noticed that you were limping. He felt a wave of tears burning behind his eyes. He was frustrated– angry. With your boyfriend, but mostly with himself. He knew he shouldn’t have left. He knew it in his gut. He should have been there– maybe if he’d stayed, he would’ve heard the yelling– he could’ve stepped in before things got this bad.
“Can you get up, okay?” he asked as he opened the passenger door for you.
You nodded, reaching up for the handle bar. He watched as you winced– just the extension of your torso causing your breathing to increase.
“You’re alright,” he said. “Let me help.”
He made sure to wait for you to nod before he placed his hand against your lower back. Ever so gently, he supported your weight so that you could hoist yourself up into the front seat.
“There you go,” he said, once you were safely tucked inside. He closed the door and turned to head to the driver’s side. Just as he did, he caught a flash of movement from the direction of your house. When he looked, he saw Justin standing on the front porch. Even from the road, Luke could see the tears glistening in his eyes.
He felt the familiar anger from earlier resurfacing inside of him. It tightened in his chest– burned in his stomach. He envisioned himself crossing the lawn– grabbing Justin by the shirt collar– launching his fist right into his jaw.
Luke inhaled deeply before looking back towards you. You were staring at him, crying again, your face riddled with fear. Because you knew exactly what he was imagining, and it made you afraid.
Luke’s insides softened.
No.
He would not just be another man who scared you tonight. Luke wanted to be someone you felt safe with.
Without looking back, he hurried along the front of his hood and climbed into his side of the truck. He put the truck in drive and calmly accelerated down the road– away from everything that had ever hurt you.
…
It was only when you were in the safe confinement of Luke’s truck that you realized how bad you were shaking.
The further you got from the house, the more the events from that evening sank into your brain. You’d seen this before with victims– once their adrenaline calmed down and they actually realized they were safe, fight or flight wasn’t protecting them anymore.
There was so much you wanted to say to Luke. But you could barely muster up the strength to breathe, let alone explain yourself.
But you knew that you had to say something. You inhaled shakily and picked at the loose hangnail on your thumb. “Luke, I’m so sorry,” you said, breaking through the thick silence.
He adjusted his grip on the steering wheel, knuckles turning white from how hard he was holding on. He hadn’t said a word since you’d been on the road and you found yourself wondering what was going through his mind. Was he angry? Annoyed? Frustrated?
Luke grimaced. “Please don’t apologize,” he said softly. “You have nothing to be sorry for.”
You bit your lip to keep any tears from spilling out– you’d cried enough in front of Luke for one day. “I just meant that I’m sorry I dragged you into this.”
“You didn’t drag me into anything.”
Something in his tone just seemed so off– so curt. You desperately needed to make this right.
“Is there a hotel or something on the way to your place? You don’t have to go out of your way– you can just drop me off, I don’t want to inconvenience you–”
Luke hit the breaks, his truck coming to a stop as he pulled over on the side of the road. After shifting the gear, he turned in his seat to look at you.
“I’m not inconvenienced by you. And I’m not dropping you off at a hotel. You’re coming to my place, and I’m going to clean up your cuts, and then I’m going to make you dinner.”
“Luke–” you started to protest but he shook his head.
“Please,” he said, voice cracking. “Please, let me do this– Otherwise… otherwise I won’t be able to forgive myself.”
Your brows furrowed. “Forgive yourself? What are you talking about?”
Luke shook his head, his dark mop of curls unruly after the long day. Slowly, he lifted his head and gazed out of the windshield, like he was deep in thought.
“I knew something was wrong– I mean, I heard the way he spoke to you in the garage. After you told me he slashed your tires… I just knew. I knew something bad would happen when I dropped you off, but I tried to convince myself I was just being dramatic– or paranoid. But I knew– and I didn’t listen. I left you, and you got hurt. So please, let me make you dinner and give you a safe place to be tonight. It’s the least I can do.”
Your mouth hung open– whatever you thought was going on in Luke’s mind, it wasn’t that. Before you could think twice, you leaned forward in your seat and gathered his hand in yours. His warm skin touched yours– sending shockwaves through your entire body.
“None of this was your fault,” you assured him. “In fact, you've shown me more kindness in the last few hours than I think Justin has shown me in the last year. I’m so grateful it was you who came and got me tonight, Luke.”
The words came out so easily– probably because of how true they were.
His gaze flickered towards yours– eyes glistening with unshed tears. He spun his hand, so that your palms pressed against each other, before lacing your fingers together and squeezing gently.
“You know I’ll never let him hurt you again, right?” he asked.
His words sent chills down your spine. You did know, but you weren't sure if you were ready to admit that or not. So instead, you changed the subject.
"Are we almost to your house?"
Luke shrugged. "Not really- I'm closer to Stafford, probably thirty five minutes."
You frowned. "Stafford? That's the opposite direction. I thought you said my place was on your way home."
A smirk crept across Luke's face. "That might've been a tiny lie."
"Luke!" you exclaimed.
He let out a laugh. "What? I knew you wouldn't have gotten in the car otherwise. Am I wrong?"
You let out a huff of air, hating the fact that he was right.
As he put the truck in drive and continued down the road, you squeezed his hand back.

cariño — luke alvez

pairing : luke alvez x gn!bau!reader ➖⟢ genre : hurt/comfort, fluff ➖⟢ cw : car crash, mentions of blood and injuries, concussion, pet names (honey, sweetheart, cariño, baby), swearing, only light editing ➖⟢ wc : 3.6K ➖⟢ listen to : cariño by the marías summary : you get injured while chasing after an unsub, and luke is there to take care of you.
also i think i was subconsciously inspired by one of my fav luke fics concussed at the end lol so check that one out, too!!
adrenaline pumps through your veins the way it always does during a car chase. this one is entirely chaotic as you weave the large black suv through other innocent cars, trying to keep up with the unsub. luke is in the passenger's seat, feeding you updates and directions from garcia as you step on the gas.
“left up ahead!” luke instructs, and your hands grip the wheel tight as you yank it to the side last minute to avoid hitting traffic. the tires squeal, but you make the turn and find yourself on an open road, houses and office buildings quickly fading into trees. you can see the unsub’s car just as it rounds a corner in front of you, and you increase your speed without the danger of hitting a civilian’s car. for a moment, you’re glad because this makes your capture easier, then that exact thought spikes confusion and worry in your mind.
“why the hell’d he turn here?” you question through gritted teeth, “it would be harder for us to get to him if he kept on the busier roads.”
“shit,” luke curses in agreement, “garcia, what’s past the corner we’re about to round?”
there’s a moment of silence as you continue speeding down the road. “nothing!” comes penelope’s voice through luke’s phone.
“nothing?” he repeats to confirm.
“no, nothing, is there supposed to be something?” garcia asks, worry quickly seeping into her tone.
“we need to slow down,” luke dictates as you’re already easing up on the gas and preparing to step on the brakes. but the speed of the car makes almost no difference as you round the corner, eyes peeled and body tensed to react quickly to anything the unsub might throw your way. maybe he’s stopped the car in attempts to surprise you into breaking or swerving dangerously, likely waiting with a gun in hand to try and shoot you down.
what you don’t expect, what none of you could have expected at all, is the new car that comes barelling into the road, hidden by a driveway to the left, right after the curve.
luke shouts your name in warning, and with a glimpse of the dark grey vehicle in the corner of your eye, you slam back on the gas and swerve further left in hopes that the car catch the tail end of the suv and send the it spinning down the road, rather than t-bone you and send you off the side of the road.
you’re not quick enough, just about no one could be. the grey car was ready for you, and it hits the driver’s side with a sickening crunch before running you right off the road. the airbags inflate almost right on impact and the car lurches to a halt when it bends to the will of a tall, thick tree.
it happens beyond fast, all of it a blur of sharp pain and the mixed voices of luke’s exclaimations and penelope’s worried voice calling your names until there’s nothing at all.
—
when luke wakes, he can still hear penelope’s voice. it takes a long, groggy and painful moment for it to come into focus. he groans as he forces his eyes open.
“luke! luke, oh my god! are you there? can you hear me? luke, answer me, please,” her voice is completely panicked, and oddly far away. luke realizes his phone must have fallen to the ground in the crash. then he remembers there’s been a crash.
“garcia?” he croaks out, trying to sit up from where he’s awoken against the door to turn his pained neck, because the most important thing he remembers then is that you were driving.
“luke! thank god. oh my god. there’s an ambulance on the way. luke, are you okay? i can’t hear you well and where’s y/n? are they okay?” garcia is practically begging for good news as she rambles out questions to him.
“i’m fine,” he calls to her, lying, “concussion, probably. i’m checking on y/n right now.” he’s trying to sound calm for her sake, but he’s silently panicking because he hasn’t heard a sound from your side of the car. you probably took the brunt of the hit, too. he’s terrified of what he’ll see when he finally can get a decent look at you.
there’s blood dripping down your face, reflecting the sunlight seeping in through the broken car windows as it seeps past your closed eyelids. you’re knocked out cold, far colder than he was, and your head slumps against the deflated airbag on the steering wheel. you’re facing him, and he thinks that seeing you like this is his worst nightmare. but his head is starting to clear up, probably only momentarily, and though his whole body aches, he can tell that nothing’s broken. with ample effort, he reaches over to you, calling your name softly, then urgently as he presses his fingers to your pulse point. when he feels the weak throb of blood pumping through your veins, he heaves a sigh of relief.
“they’re alive,” he calls to garcia, “still knocked out,” he explains, the strain in his voice evident. “i need to focus on them, okay garcia? have you called emily?”
“i patched her in while you were still out, she’s on the way with jj and spence. do you promise you’re okay?” she’s still talking like she’s barely breathing.
“garcia, i need you to breathe while i try to wake them up, okay?” it’s taking all of luke’s control to stay calm for garcia as he struggles to be closer to you. he checks for breathing, then for any obvious injuries other than your head. then, he’s stroking the side of your face, so gentle as he calls out your name.
“okay, okay, i can do that,” comes garcia’s muffled voice, but luke’s already practically tuned her out. all he’s worried about is you, the way your face looks calm now, even covered in blood, and the way it’ll inevitably twist in pain when you wake. he keeps calling your name, but there’s no response. he’s too afraid to move you for fear of making any unseen injuries worse.
“garcia, how long for the ambulence?” he calls, panic beginning to seep into his voice.
“it’s three minutes out,” she responds, and if he weren’t so preoccupied with you, he’d be able to picture the fear in her face, the severe furrow of her eyebrows, maybe tears on her cheeks as she prays you’ll be okay. but all he sees is the way you’re stuck in your seat, trapped between the front of the car that hit you, its driver long gone by now, and the front dashboard that’s been pushed forward by the strength of the tree and collision.
the way he says your name is like the pleading of a desperate prayer. his shaky hand is still on the side of your face, the pad of his thumb brushing against your cheek.
“c’mon, honey. you gotta wake up.”
with that comes the first sign of life outside of your shallow breaths and weak heartbeat. your brows furrow slightly and a quiet groan escapes the back of your throat.
“hey, hey. that’s it, cariño, c’mon. can you hear me?” he begs. he gets another pained whimper and slight flutter of your eyelids, but your eyes still don’t open. “you’re okay, i’ve got you. you’re alright. wake up, y/n. come on, you got this.”
when your eyes finally flit open, everything’s blurry. you blink once, twice, as you try to focus on the voice that you think might be calling your name. it’s familiar, but sounds far away. then you groan and your face contorts in pain. everything hurts, bad.
“don’t try to move, okay?” those are the first words you catch and can put the meaning together, “you’re alright, the ambulence will be here soon. cariño, can you hear me?”
you try to say yes, but all you can get out is a strangled, “hmm.” luke. you want to say his name as his face comes into focus and you register his gentle hand on your face. the soft brush of his thumb and the gentle sound of his voice are comforting, even as the pain grows with every waking moment.
“that’s good, you’re doing so good,” he reassures. he hates the way your cheek and forehead are shoved uncomfortably against the steering wheel, so as carefully as he can, he maneuvers his other hand to cup your head so you can rest against him instead of the hard, unorgiving surface of the wheel. your face pinches in pain when he does so, but you relax a little once your cheek settles against the soft skin of his palm.
“there you go, that’s a little better, huh? can you see me?”
this time your hum is a little more intelligible as a clear, “mhmm.” you try to keep your eyes and senses focused on luke and his pretty, worried face, but it’s difficult when the pain is so ever present, digging into your ribs and hips and chest and legs and god, your head is pounding, spinning, stabbing, throbbing in pain. luke wants to cry himself when he feels your tears mix with your blood on his hands.
“shhh, you’re gonna be okay. i know it hurts, but the ambulance is almost here, baby,” his words are comforting, and you don’t want him to stop, but it only gets worse.
“luke,” you groan, unable to say much else to express how much pain you’re in and how much you need him to keep saying sweet things and calling you pretty names.
“yeah, i know, i know. ‘m right here, i got you. we’re gonna get you fixed up so soon. just stay with me, okay? ambulance’s almost here.”
“okay,” you agree breathily, but your eyes want to close and try to shut the pain out.
“no, no, stay awake, honey. i need you to stay awake, okay?” he repeats. “you hear that? that’s the ambulance, it’s almost here,” he assures you. sure enough, if you focus, you can hear the sirens as they get closer.
“okay. ‘m awake,” you mumble, pinching your eyebrows together in concentration and squeezing your eyes shut for just a moment before focusing your eyes back on luke’s concerned face.
“that’s good, there you go. don’t worry about anything else, i got you. you stay awake, and i’ll take care of the rest, alright?” his gaze leaves you for just a moment as the ambulance pulls up and the emts run out of the vehicle to help.
“yeah,” you respond, and he can feel your jaw clenching against his palm every time you hold back a little cry of pain. he hates it because it’s often, because even now, you’re acting strong for the sake of someone else.
then there’s a paramedic opening the door to the passengers side, requesting for him to get out and to the ambulance.
“not until you get them out,” luke protests, not even bothering to look away from you, “i’m staying with them.”
“sir, i’m sorry, but we need you to get out so we can reach them. that door isn’t going to open until we can move the other car, and we need to stabilize your friend as soon as possible,” the medic explains. luke holds back a curse and clenches his jaw in anger because he knows he needs to leave you, but would rather do anything but that.
“cariño, i have to get out so the medics can help you, but i’ll be back with you the second i can, okay?” he explains to you gently, already slipping his hands away from your head with all the care in the world.
you whine in protest, and though what he’s saying makes sense, you don’t want him to be away from you for even a moment.
“i know. i’m so sorry, but i’ll be right back, okay honey?” his heart is practically breaking as he pulls away from you and stumbles out of the car with the help of a medic. within seconds, another medic has crawled into the car, speaking comfortingly as she assesses the situation up close. and while you appreciate her gentleness, it’s not nearly as comforting as having luke. it’s a task, but the other medic gets luke to sit down on the side of the road a few feet away before climbing into the car from the back seat to help stabilize your neck and get you sitting upright in your seat.
luke wants to throw something or cry, or maybe both, when he hears your pained sounds coming from the car. more than anything, he wants to be near you to hold your hand, but he knows there’s not enough room for him and the medics to do their jobs.
when there’s nothing left for them to do until they can move you, they allow luke to climb back into the car and hold your hand from the back seat after checking him for severe injuries.
“hey, there. i’m back, sweetheart, just like i promised,” he says as he reaches over the console to curl his fingers around yours.
“mhmm,” you hum in relief, unable to really speak with the brace around your neck.
only moments later, more emergency vehicles arrive, including a black suv that luke knows to contain emily, jj, and spencer.
“we’ll be able to get you out so soon, now. and emily, jj, and spence are here to help, too,” luke tells you, hoping to bring you a bit of good news. in your current state, he doesn’t expect you to answer aloud, but he smiles a bit when you squeeze his hand.
—
at the hospital, hours later, luke sits in your dark room, holding your hand and resting his head against your forearm. it was practically hell to him, being made to rest in a hospital bed himself for an hour or two before they let him sit in your room instead. his concussion is mild, much more so than yours. you’re sleeping soundly, a little frown on your face that luke both wishes would go away and can’t help but find it oddly adorable. matt reported to him that you woke up once before, dazed and confused from your injury before falling back asleep.
the darkness of your room helps him, but his head still pounds dully as he wishes you’d wake up so he can say something to you, so he can hear your voice and maybe feel just a little bit less worried about you.
with his head down, he doesn’t see your eyes drift slowly open, but he feels the twitch of your fingers inside his own hand. immediately, he raises his head to check on you, and his gaze softens infinitely when he sees you’re awake.
“hey,” he whispers, “how are you feeling?”
you take in a raspy breath before speaking, “um… i’m okay, i think. my head hurts,” you pout. “what… what happened?” the nurses had warned that you might suffer from some temporary retrograde amnesia.
“we were in a car crash,” honey, he wants to add.
you inhale sharply, “oh. are you okay?” you sound so worried and sweet that luke wants to soothe you with a kiss to your cheeks, your forehead, anywhere you’d let him. he settles for squeezing your hand comfortingly.
“i’m very okay,” he reassures, happily glossing over the fact that his head hurts, too. “that’s why i’m here, to take care of you, because you have a bad concussion.”
“oh,” you repeat, and from the way you’re talking and the tone of your voice, luke concludes that you’re still clearly affected by the concussion, “is everyone else okay? we’re on a case, right?”
“yeah, we’re on a case,” he has to hold back from the pet names again, “and everyone’s okay, just a little worried about you.”
your brow furrows at that, and he thinks your eyes grow a little shiny from tears. “don’t wan’ anybody to worry about me,” you fuss.
“oh, sweetheart,” it slips out so easy and natural that he can’t hold it back, “we just want to be sure that you’re okay,” he explains, so soft and sweet, “but since you’ll be just fine, we won’t worry too much, okay?”
“okay,” you sigh. the pout stays stuck to your lips, but you don’t protest anymore and he thinks tears are avoidable, now.
“i’m gonna grab a doctor to check on you,” luke tells you as he begins to stand and let his hand slip away from yours. your hand tightens around his and the tears spring right back into your eyes.
“don’t go,” you whine all sweet and simple.
“i promise i’ll be right back, but i need to get a doctor to make sure everything’s alright, okay?”
you shake your head, then squeeze your eyes shut in pain. that action sends a few tears out and rolling down the sides of your face. when your eyes open, a few more drops spill out as your breathing grows a little heavy and panicked.
luke settles right back down at your side and squeezes your hand with renewed urgency, “okay, okay. i got it, i’m here.” he brings his other hand to the side of your face, ever so gentle to avoid hurting you as he wipes at your tears, “i’m not going anywhere, don’t worry.”
he sighs, but his face softens when you relax into his touch. “will you tell me when it’s okay for me to get a doctor? i promise it’ll only take a second, and it’ll help me not to worry about you,” he adds.
this makes your expression turn conflicted. it’s plain to him that you’re mulling over the options carefully in that pretty little head of yours.
after long consideration, you relent, “okay. but you can’t be gone long, please.”
“i won’t, i promise. i’ll be right back, okay?”
“okay,” you agree, but your voice is so sad that luke would rather do anything than leave your side. your fingers chase after his as he gets up, even when your muscles are tired, pained, and weak.
luke flags down a nurse, who gets a doctor to show up within a few minutes. she comes and confirms that your status is the same as before, all you need is rest and to be extra careful goin forward. you sigh in relief when she says that you should be discharged tomorrow or the day after, and you’re cleared to fly soon after that as long as you’re continually resting. your memory from around the time before the crash might remain spotty, but should clear up at least a little with time and proper care.
“luke,” you mumble once the doctor’s gone.
“yeah? can i get you something? water?” he asks, all caring and concerned.
“no. well, water would be nice in a minute, but luke,” you implore, “i jus’ really like you, and i wish that you’d kiss me. i’m pretty sure i’ve wished that for a while. but i definitely wish it now.”
those words nearly knock the breath out of his lungs, but he has to recompose himself quickly to deal with the fact that you’re only saying so because you’re severely concussed.
“i also wish you were my boyfriend,” you continue.
“i really like you, too,” he says, beginning gentle and truthful to ease into the fact that he can’t kiss you right now.
“so you’ll kiss me?” you slur hopefully. he sighs because he knows his answer probably won’t come across well in your current state.
“i will if that’s what you still want when your head clears up a little more, okay?” he concedes. he means it, too. he really would like to kiss you.
“but not now?” you sound so disappointed that luke is having trouble holding back. your eyes are shiny again and he wants to kiss the tears away.
“i’m sorry, but not yet.” the pronounced pout on your lips does not help his case.
“do you not want to?” you ask helplessly, and there’s tears slipping down your face again.
“oh, hey, don’t cry. i do, i promise i do, but i can’t right now,” he explains without making any headway in calming you down. you don’t seem to believe him.
he stands to lean over you and lay both of his hands against your face to wipe the tears gently awake. from the pinch of your brows and tightness of your lips, he thinks you’re probably crying from the pain, too. he shushes you softly as he presses a whisper of a kiss to your forehead when he can’t hold back from doing so anymore.
“it’s okay. don’t cry,” he mumbles into the bandage wrapped around your head. for good measure, he kisses the skin of your forehead again, since the first one seemed to calm you down significantly. it appears that the contact of his lips to your skin, regardless of whether it was on your own lips or not, was enough to sedate and please you, because the tears have stopped and there’s a little smile on your face when he looks.
“can you hug me, too?” you ask sweetly.
“of course i can,” he confirms as he wraps his arms around you, as careful and soft as possible.
he holds you until your hand drops from his shoulder and you say plainly, “i’m tired.” he moves away slightly, brushing his thumb sweetly under your eye before he settles back down on the chair.
“alright. why don’t you go to sleep, then? i’ll be here when you wake up, cariño.”
your smile turns a little dopey at that word. “cariño,” you slur out. “i hope you’ll kiss me then, cariño.” with that, you send his heart into a flutter as your eyes drift closed and your breathing evens out.
he whispers, “i will, cariño, i will.”

Hello hi ! 🤗
Can you do a "bau reacts" when they are undercover in public and about to be found out so the reader just starts making out with them to pretend they are just a couple?
(BAU Headcanons) Making out Undercover

A/N: Mwahaha. Oh, this is a good prompt. Thanks for making me daydream all afternoon. Enjoy my lovelies 😉 Also, as a note, I'm writing the main BAU where I'm at watching it (season 13) plus Luke as he was requested previously 💕
Warnings: Mentions of threat, mentions of weapons, alcohol references, sexual references, implied cases / unsubs. (Let me know if I missed any)
Aaron Hotchner
We know Aaron doesn’t go undercover for most cases, so this would have to be a big case to get him into the field.
This man would be in shock. Let’s be real. He would freeze in place and try to argue for a split second until he realises what you’re trying to do and why - even if you were already together.
As soon as they’re gone though, you’d glance up and see his usual steely glare that tells you you’re in for a scolding once this is over.
However, you’d have to be blind to miss the way he lingers for a moment, holding you close for half a second longer than necessary.
“I feel I should remind you that we are in the field, and whilst it may have worked, I can’t endorse it as a tactic in future. Understood?”
“So I’m hearing that we’re leaving this off of our case report then?”
“Agreed. I don’t need to give Strauss anything else to use to go after us and the team.”
He would roll his eyes and take off after the Unsub, but you’d have to be blind to miss the way he smirks as he goes.
David Rossi
He’d be a little embarrassed but mostly quite smug about the whole thing, even if you were supposed to be undercover.
“Well, I can safely say in all my years in this field I don’t think that’s ever happened to me before.”
He’d also refuse to let you apologise for your actions afterwards either.
One, because he’s kind of flattered.
Two, because he’s been around the block a few times and knows that sometimes you have to do what it takes to solve a case or protect yourselves.
Three, you were supposed to be a couple and kissing is what couples do. He’s only sour because if anything he would have liked to be the one who kissed you.
“Relax about it, would you? I won’t tell you some of the things Gideon and I had to do back in the old days. That was before all this new paperwork and guidelines, so that’s all I’ll say on the matter.”
You make a point of remembering to ask him about that at your next night off over drinks.
Derek Morgan
Derek is always up for anything so I feel like he’d be pretty relaxed about being undercover with you, even if you weren't together romantically. He has no issue playing your pretend boyfriend for one night, and is quick to wrap his arm around you.
Which is why it would be such a surprise to him when it’s you who initiated the kiss.
Derek would freeze for like a second, but only out of shock. However, you know he wouldn’t fight you on it.
The second his brain catches up to his body he would be kissing you back, doing everything in his power to match your energy and sell this kiss.
If anything, you’re going to have to be the one to break away once the coast is clear and remind him you’re still technically in the field and that your team is probably wondering where the hell you are right now - and why you stopped responding to your comms.
“I’m just saying, if we get to do that then we need to be partnered up more often.”
“Yeah yeah, Morgan. Let’s just hope Penelope didn’t see that else we’ll never be hearing the end of it.”
Emily Prentiss
She’s been undercover plenty of times in her life and spent a whole chunk of time actually fake-married to Doyle for an op, so she’d be the most comfortable and understanding if you grabbed her for a kiss - especially if you were meant to be a fake couple.
She’d work it out pretty quickly and would respond in kind, pressing herself against you and running her hands all over you.
“Quick thinking with the kiss,” she’d whisper as she brushed a kiss against your neck.
She’d also know exactly where the Unsub is afterwards too, having kept watch in her peripheral vision.
She wouldn’t even have to break eye contact with you before she informed you, “3 o’clock. He just left out the fire exit.”
With that, she’d be off.
She also probably wouldn’t even bring it up again until you’re both back on the jet. Then she’d be smirking at you across the top of her drink and chuckling to herself.
“Normally I’d insist dinner first but given that we caught that bastard I think we’re even.”
JJ
JJ knows about going undercover and it takes a lot to rattle her. She would probably go along with the action, even if she’d stay kind of stiff for a good minute or so.
However, she’s a good agent and knows about maintaining a cover so quickly catches on when you pull her in.
She’d return the kiss, shooting glances out the corner of her eye when she thinks it might be safe to check on their target. If it doesn’t look like they’re buying it, she’ll turn things up a notch and spin you around so that she could take control.
“My gun is under my jacket. Reach for it slowly if he comes any closer,” she’d warn, but thankfully you don’t need it. Eventually they leave, distracted by something else, leaving you and JJ to recover.
After catching your breath, you both take off in the direction your target just left in. You can tell JJ is trying not to laugh about what just happened, choosing to make it funny rather than uncomfortable if you weren't together romantically.
Which means you know she’d enjoy teasing you about it in front of the others, making your cheeks burn as she announces on the jet: “For the record, even though it was a ‘cover kiss’ it was pretty good. Just saying. Maybe you should give Morgan some tips. That way he might get a girl to call him back after a first date.”
Luke Alvez
It doesn’t matter if he’s ex-army or whatever. Undercover is not really Luke’s thing and even then, he is more used to infiltrating gangs than playing house.
Basically, he would be surprised by your actions, despite being undercover together. Like, I can see his eyebrows hitting his hairline so fast, bless him. He’d look like a deer in headlights.
“Woah, sweetheart, slow your roll-“
“- Luke. Shut up and kiss me. Now.”
“I - ok.”
Just like that, he’d take control, turning and pressing you against the nearest wall in an attempt to shield you from whoever was watching. He’d also be such a gentleman about it if you weren't already together romantically, keeping his hands on your waist and pulling away the minute he’s sure the danger has passed.
Even then, he’d wait a minute before letting the two of you move from your position, just in case they come back. He’s your partner and he’s returning the favour for you keeping him safe, even if in an unsuspected manner.
“You good?”
“Luke. Shouldn’t I be asking you that? I was the one who planted myself on you.”
“Potato, po-tah-to. Are they still over there?”
“No. They just left out the back.”
“Then let’s go, partner. Let’s catch this freak.”
Penelope Garcia
If Penelope is in the field then you know she is already hella nervous and out of her element. It doesn’t matter if there was a reason she was needed for this particular assignment, she would just take that as added pressure not to let everyone down.
Which is why I’m sure you’d feel worse about planting one on her - even if it does also help distract her from worrying for a minute.
All I can imagine is her giving her trademark squeal of confusion and surprise, even if you gave her a hasty warning - and apology - about what you were going to do.
She’d be stunned at what was happening and probably takes a minute to realise she should probably try and kiss you back, or at least look less visibly startled about it.
“I feel I should point out how unfair it is that this is permitted as ‘suitable workplace behaviour’ as we’re undercover, yet my flirtatious texts with Agent Morgan are not? I will be writing a strongly worded email when we get back, telling HR they can go shove their-”
“Pen? Hey, focus here. Unsub still watching us.”
“Oh, right. Sorry! Ahem… as you were?”
Also, you know that like a day or so later, once it’s all over, she sends you an email informing you that your new username on the BAU system is now ‘smoochykins’ and she will not change it until it becomes not-funny for her… which will probably be never. After all, Morgan has been ‘Chocolate Thunder’ for the last two years and is still going strong.
Dr Spencer Reid
Spencer has been undercover before and is usually quite calm about it, even if it is faking a date or maintaining a story. Still, despite having to do your jobs, you’d hate to make him uncomfortable, knowing how he feels about any kind of physical contact - especially if you're not together.
As he says, with the amount of bacteria shared by shaking hands you’d be safer kissing … guess it was time to take it literally.
He’d be blushing like a tomato as you grab his jacket lapels and pull him close. And honestly? it’s kind of adorable. As is the way he tries to kiss you back, even if he still takes a minute to remember how to even move his body.
I’m just picturing the Lila kiss in season one and how he eased into that and how stunned / embarrassed he seemed afterwards. He would pretty much be like that, but with a fake smile on his face as he rambled in your ear.
“What was that?”
“I was covering our asses. We’re undercover, remember? We’re supposed to be a couple and couples kiss. Also, I’d thought you know, genius, that kissing and displays of public affection make people extremely uncomfortable.”
“No kidding… Morgan can never find out about this.”
“You don’t have to tell me twice. You got a deal, pretty boy. This is between us.”

How would everyone react to you asking to be chocked?
nsfw | mdni | choking
aaron - aaron would honestly just go “is that so?” in a curious tone, making sure you’re consenting properly. and then he’d put his hand around your neck tentatively to test the waters. and by the hitch in your breath, he’d be so down to do it while fucking you.
rossi - he’s into it. he’d gladly do anything you wanted to do because rossi does not judge at all. his motto is “try everything at least once and if you don’t like it, we won’t do it again.”
derek - he wouldn’t choke you. i wholeheartedly believe derek to be quite vanilla (this does NOT mean boring at all). he’d be too scared to hurt you and wants you to be worshipped, not hurt.
emily - deadass emily loves gripping your neck and making you look at her so when you ask to be choked while she does that, it came of no surprise to her. she’s so into it.
luke - luke is so into it. he is nervous at first as he doesn’t want to accidentally cause anything to happen to you but after some reassurance, he’s so down.
jj - i think jj could lean either way depending on how you view her. she would definitely want to try it out to see what it’s like as i think she’s quite open-minded
spencer - spencer is so INTO IT. he already knows about how to properly choke someone without hurting them and so, when you ask, he tentatively tries it out one day during sex. and the way you clenched around his cock had him busting inside of you immediately. he would also want you to choke him and slap him fr.

15 MINUTES. / L.ALVEZ / SUMMARY - Luke takes care of you after a sleep attack
PAIRING: narcoleptic!reader x luke alvez / w/c: 1.2k / fluff
a/n: In Sabrina we trust, also this might be my second Luke alvez piece so be nice to me, this suggestion was PRECIOUS as a chronically ill girly , anon request here
You’d warned them when you joined the team, countless times actually.
“I’m not fragile or a liability,” you’d said softly, fingers laced tightly in your lap. “I can manage to be a good media liaison. I’ve managed and lived with this for years. Some days are just better than others.”
They’d nodded, Emily asked a few careful questions, Spencer was fascinated. And Luke Alvez? Silent, unreadable— just staring at you with soft eyes that seemed to memorize everything about you.
You thought he’d be the one to tread carefully around you, like a ballerina on pointe shoes.
He wasn’t.
He was worse.
He acted like it didn’t matter.
And for some reason, that annoyed you.
“You don’t have to carry that…” You’d said between yawns, entirely unrelated to your condition as you watched him sling your go bag over his shoulder.
“I know I don’t,” he laughed. “I want to.”
“Are you patronizing me?” You said, almost too quiet to be accusatory.
“I’m not, I just wanna help.” He reassured you, holding his hands in mock surrender.
You looked at him like a dear in headlights which made him laugh.
“I don’t treat you any differently than my other female co workers.” Luke shrugged.
Your chest fluttered with something you couldn’t quite explain, but it made you sweat. You felt annoyed by the safety he made you feel, the kindness he showed you.
Because for some reason, the way you got lightheaded around him, the way you nearly fell asleep around him was all too much. Too soon.
The first time it happened in front of him, you were flying back from Miami. The case had ended early and you were curled up against the window, a small pillow underneath your head
Luke was sitting across the aisle, pretending not to look at you with slight concern at your sleepy state. He did that a lot. You’d gotten good at pretending not to notice.
The last thing you remembered was the hum of the engine, a sense of light headedness and an indescribable sleepiness.
Then—blackness.
One could argue it was sleep but it felt more like passing out, because your sure as heck didn’t feel refreshed afterwards.
Like someone pulled a plug from the back of your brain.
When you’d finally woken up, you were practically drooling against his thigh, your pillow had snuck out from beneath you and the imprint of the window lingered on your cheek.
His hand was on your shoulder, your cheek resting against his pant leg. He didn’t say anything—just reached down with his free hand and passed you a bottle of water like it was the most normal thing in the world.
You took it quietly, feeling embarrassment at your vulnerability.
“You were out for fifteen minutes,” he said softly. “You twitched a little. I figured you’d want someone close, just in case.”
Fighting the shame, you looked up at him, mumbling a quiet thank you with a smile. He seemed partially surprised you hadn’t moved.
Rather than mention it, he ran his fingers through your hair.
After that, you tried your best to avoid him, avoid what he made you feel but it was no use.
The case in Vermont was different, to say the least. You and Luke were tasked with investigating the scene. Usually this was a simple task but as luck would have it… it wasn’t for you.
Nearly the moment you’d knelt down, everything went dark. You hadn’t thought to inform him you weren’t feeling well.
Not only did you neglect to eat but you also didn’t bother to sleep much the past night or so since the little boy had gone missing.
“Y/N. Come on. Come back to me. That’s it. Eyes on me.”
That’s the first thing you hear.
You blinked up.
Luke was holding you—his body crouched low, your head cradled gently in his lap. One hand cupped the side of your face; the other stroked your hair with careful tenderness. He looked… wrecked.
And angry. But not at you.
At the world, maybe. Or whatever cruel twist of fate made you the one who had to live like this.
You tried to sit up, but your limbs were trembling.
“I’m okay,” you whispered.
He shook his head. “Don’t do that.”
“Do what?”
“Pretend. Minimize.” His voice cracked just slightly. “You scared me.”
That stopped you.
“You’re not supposed to be scared,” you murmured, almost childlike.
“I don’t care what I’m supposed to be,” he said. “You went down like someone flipped a switch. You could’ve hit your head. You could’ve—” He stopped himself. Swallowed hard. “You don’t have to do this alone.”
“I don’t like being looked at like I’m broken.” You snickered light heartedly.
“I’m not looking at you like you’re broken,” he said. “I’m looking at you like I care.”
And you didn’t have words for that.
So you let him hold you.
Just for a little while.
Just long enough to remember that softness doesn’t always mean weakness.
He knocked on your motel door that night. Again.
You didn’t pretend you were asleep.
You opened the door, and he was standing there—sweatshirt, jeans, a paper bag in hand.
“I brought you ginger ale. And a muffin. I don’t know if you ate. You crashed hard.”
You stepped aside.
No words. Just trust.
He sat at the edge of the bed while you pulled a blanket around your shoulders. Your hands were still shaking faintly, the crash coming on slow.
You looked at him.
“Will you stay?” you asked, voice small.
He didn’t hesitate.
He kicked off his shoes, settled beside you, and pulled you into his chest.
The room was silent except for the hum of the AC and the soft cadence of his voice as he murmured a story from his K9 days, letting it fill the air like a lullaby.
You didn’t remember falling asleep.
But you remembered the feeling:
Safe. Warm.
Not alone.
The next morning, you woke tangled in him—his chest under your cheek, your fingers clutching the edge of his shirt like a lifeline.
His hand was still in your hair.
You shifted slightly, half-expecting him to pull away.
He didn’t.
He looked down at you, bleary-eyed and beautiful, and whispered:
“You don’t have to keep running. I’m not going anywhere.”
Something about those words unraveled you completely.
So when he leaned in, slow and reverent, and pressed a kiss to your temple—
You let him.
And when you turned your head and kissed him back—
He let you.
Soft. Slow. Breathless.
Like neither of you had ever been kissed like that before.
After that, everything changed. But nothing did.
You still worked beside each other. Still chased down unsubs and pieced together patterns in blood and tragedy.
But now you had someone to catch you when the tide came in.
Someone who didn’t flinch when your body betrayed you.
Someone who stayed.
And for the first time in a long time—you let yourself fall.
Not into sleep.
Into him.
Into love.
All it had taken were those 15 minutes to fall in love with him. Unconscious or otherwise.

idk if you do headcanons but I wanna know what you think each member of the BAU team would get you for your birthday?
<33
hi !! yes i def do general headcanons too, and this is such a good idea 🫶
birthday bash ☆ the B.A.U.
characters aaron hotchner, spencer reid, emily prentiss, derek morgan, jennifer jareau, david rossi, penelope garcia, tara lewis, luke alvez, elle greenaway; can be seen as platonic or romantic with any character
content just some general headcanons
aaron hotchner is incredibly observant and he cares for his team, so he will make sure you get at least a basket-full worth of stuff. he’ll likely say it’s from everyone on the team, even if he did pay for everything in the basket himself. he also goes out of his way to get presents for people he cares about (à la the halloween special where he got that darth vader mask for jack). included in the basket are some office supplies, flowers (of course), candies, and maybe a replacement of something you broke (like your favourite mug).
spencer reid will make sure to get you something that is functional from both an aesthetic standpoint and a practical one. of course, he’ll likely get you rare books with the pages yellow and worn from use, but are still delightfully charming, even if you’re not that interested in the contents of those pages. he’ll also treat you to a sort of last-minute-birthday-breakfast if you’re all called in to work, where he’ll get you your favourite pastry and coffee/tea, just the way you like it. antiquities are also a go to, whether it’s jewellery or otherwise.
emily prentiss is an enigma when it comes to gift giving; nobody knows what she’s getting for you, and nobody knows if it’s going to be a joke present or a genuinely thoughtful one (or some combination of the two). one present she might get for you are aphrodisiac chocolates because “you’ll never know if you get lucky” (her words).
derek morgan likely wouldn’t get you a genuinely thoughtful gift at first if you were relatively new to the team. but after some time on cases and at the office and such, he will put effort into his gifts. so for your first birthday with the team, he might play it safe by getting you gift cards; but after getting to know you more, he’ll get you something that is geared to your tastes, but it will be a gift that will remind you of him. although, he is just as likely as emily to get you a joke present, if not more.
jennifer jareau’s presents are quite rushed on account of her having to balance being an agent and a mom, but she does put a lot of heart into them. she knows more than anyone how taxing the job can get at times, so expect some well-deserved spa day coupons that she managed to find strewn around her place. it’s possible she’ll get you a couple instead of one. she will also likely give you a couple drawings henry and michael made, and you can bet that you’ll hang that up on your fridge at home.
david rossi in the early seasons (especially season three) would very likely not even plan on getting you a present unless he was reminded by hotch. however, in the later seasons, rossi definitely acts like the wine aunt who gives you straight up cash as a present. expect anywhere from $100 – $1k+, he has to use up the money he got from being a best-selling author somehow. also alcohol; he will get you expensive bottles of whiskey, scotch or wine, no room for argument (unless you have a legitimate reason).
penelope garcia goes all out for your birthday; obviously she puts the most effort in her gifts and more. for her presents, she will buy quite a lot, to the point where she might spend maybe half her pay check on the presents. her gifts mostly consist of decorations mostly for aesthetic purposes, but has little to do with everyday use. possible presents coming from her include paintings, pillows, fidget toys and mugs, all of which are very colourful. but she doesn’t just stop there with presents; she will likely organize a group dinner (or maybe a group breakfast, just in case of a possible case).
tara lewis is simultaneously the least expected and most expected member of the team to be a chaotic gift giver. she will also likely get you a joke present but while emily would get you something along the lines of a prank present, tara’s presents would be subtle and remind you of inside jokes either within the team or just between the two of you. also, expect alcohol, quite a number of the team will get you a bottle, including tara.
luke alvez definitely tries the hardest with his gifts (after penelope, of course), especially if he’s newer on the team. he’ll ask around for any ideas, either on what to get you or what kind of person you are with the team so he can figure it out for himself. if you have a dog (or two…or five), he will spoil the dog rotten with new toys, biscuits or dog accessories — which he probably collaborated with penelope on.
elle greenaway’s presents are ones that you shouldn’t really open with most of the team present because of their explicit nature. she’ll probably get you incredibly revealing swimwear (yet another collaboration with penelope), and also alcohol — specifically hard liquor. those are likely to be the only presents that you can actually open in front of everybody on the team without getting a lot of stares.
