AU Where the Justice League forms as usual except for one slight difference where Bruce just so happens to have been the one superheroing for the longest. (Excluding Diana, who got up to it in World War 1 and then mostly didn't while she learned about Man's World)
Bruce helps form the Justice League, ignoring all of the comments as they come to the sudden realization that Gotham's baby cryptid story is actually a man in a very intimidating armored suit who can and will break your arm if you cause problems for him. They are unaware that this is not the first team he's led, and actually he's used to teams full of mostly teenagers who also happen to be his children. This should be easier, this team is primarily adults.
He realizes rapidly that he doesn't understand these people.
His kids take bonding activities to mean learning a dozen different ways to break someones leg. That doesn't fly with these people. And that is most of Bruce's ideas, hell when he was a kid Alfred took every opportunity to get him out of his room and mostly that was with the agreement that Alfred would teach him how to defend himself. He's come by it honestly.
This team is not easier. They have more drama than when his house was actually full of kids. It's insane. He doesn't know what to do with it, usually he just sent the kids to their rooms or grounded them from patrol. That doesn't work here.
He comes to a strange crossroads. That falls apart when he forgets who he's working with and snaps at Hal with a full room of heroes that the next person to throw a punch or an insult without a reason too will be sparring with him.
A long standing rule in the batcave that worked two fold to prevent infighting between the kids and too ensure that they were well and truly trained.
It works wonders. No one says a word out of line for the rest of the debrief. Bruce becomes the unofficial mediator of the league over Clark because anytime he walked in on a fight it suddenly became 10 times more civil out of sheer terror of what he'd do to them in a sparring match.
Eventually they actually meet his kids. Well, one kid.
Half way through a mission (one of the rare ones in Gotham) the Bat comes to a complete stop at the edge of an alley. Every single league member on the team comes to a stop behind him. Slowly from the shadows of the alley a man in a red helmet stalks out to greet them.
"You don't call, you don't write"
"Red Hood."
"Don't Red Hood me! We've been worried sick!"
"I was at the cave last night."
"You didn't answer my texts B. You always answer my texts."
Somehow it ends with big and scary following them through the rest of the mission with a running commentary of how much Bats has let him down in his failure to respond in a timely manner to a text send less than an hour before he ran into them in the alley. It only ends when Red Robin shows up.
And even then it only ends because Hood can't keep himself from throwing a punch and Bruce has to snap at him that if he throws another one they're sparring when they get home.
And by god is Jason giving up the chance to punch his brothers.

Hiii I’m not sure if you already did this, but could I request Sylus with with a reader who is too shy to confess? Or basically him when you just go quiet and look away when he expresses his love to you.
I’m so sorry if this breaks any of your rules :(. Thank you!
i dont think ive written it before!!
Sylus doesn't seem clear with his feelings towards you at first glance. You don't think you'll ever know what he actually thinks about you, or how he feels about you. Sometimes he pushes all of your buttons and laughs with you express your frustrations, but other times he's so sweet and kind to you that you can't help but melt.
Regardless, you know how you feel about him. But that doesn't mean that you know what to do about it. You let the feelings for him sit in your chest, trying to figure out how they feel as you play with the idea of confessing to him. You don't think you ever will, deciding it'd be much safer to just choke on your words.
Sylus on the other hand is trying to figure out when to confess to you. He adores you, and wants to make you his. He doesn't expect you to confess to him nor does he want you to confess to him. He'd much rather tell you how he feels, knowing that you'd make the cutest expression.
When he confesses to you, he laughs at how flustered you get. He can see the way your hand clenches, the quick movement of your eyes as you avert your gaze. It takes a moment for the revelation to sink in, looking at him incredulously.
When you fall silent he worries at first that he's gone too far. Maybe you didn't actually reciprocate his feelings like he thought you did. Perhaps he was reading all of the signs wrong. He looks at you with concern, trying not to let it show in case you'd feel forced to respond to his feelings.
He spends some time convincing you that he's serious and he loves you. You can't look at him at all though, the feelings becoming far too much for you to deal with. It doesn't take him long to realise that he misunderstood and you actually do like him - that's why you look so flustered. He'll laugh at you and coo at you sweetly, pulling you into his arms as he tells you you need to get used to it.

something about bestfriend!felix who's so used to the world bending over backwards to please him that he seems entirely separated from the concept of boundaries.
it's one of the few things about him that remains unspoken because it reminds those in his social circle that no matter how much influence or money they might have, someone has more. and that someone is felix catton.
he's never weird about it, there's just this rule that everyone learns to pick up on and never mention. if felix wants to go out for the night or do anything socially with someone, it's customary for that person to cancel any other plans.
it might be more of an issue if felix's proximity didn't feel like sunbathing on an early summer day, but it does. so he's used to not having to work to get someone where he wants them.
until you.
despite your friendship still being relatively new, the two of you have bonded enough for you to accept his presence instantly.
felix didn't call before coming over. you answered the door after two knocks, grinning as soon as you saw him standing there. you didn't even think to ask about the lack of notice, you just invited him in and made some comment about how you were just studying.
he told you he didn't mind if you wanted to keep studying, that he brought over his own textbooks just in case. even though you were set up at your desk, you moved your supplies over to your bed so that you could sit with him.
it started off as separated as the two of you ever are, just your bent knee pressing gently into his lower thigh. your shared restraint dissolved quickly.
you're practically laying down, back partially supported by a wall and two pillows, felix's head resting on your stomach as you comb your fingers through his hair. he's holding up a textbook for you with one arm, fingertips absentmindedly brushing against your bare leg.
he breaks the silence with a sigh. when you don't respond, he turns his head and presses his lips against your thigh. your nails freeze against his scalp. "felix."
"lovie," he replies, tone as scandalized as yours. you sigh, and he can practically feel your eye roll.
felix grins, turning his head look up at you. he knows he should be good about this, about you, but he's not accustomed to practicing this kind of restraint. he's preoccupied with terribly soft thoughts of closer when he blurts out the question, "come out with me tonight?"
it's only a question by technicality, his eyes bright as if you've already agreed.
you press your lips together, and the hesitance in the look jabs at him. he brushes his knuckles against the side of your leg like that might tip the decision. "i have an econ test on monday."
the excuse deflates him. it's only friday, and even if it wasn't, you don't need to worry about your grades. there's a naturalness to your schooling, you grasp everything almost immediately. any personal selfishness aside, you don't need a weekend of studying. it's objective fact.
you're still watching him, expression unsure. "y'know too much studying's bad for you." your lips part, but before you can say anything, felix is shutting the book he'd been holding up for you.
he extends his arm, his palm covering the upper half of your face with the palm of his hand. you laugh out his name. "what? your eyes need the rest." you shift, still giggling as you halfheartedly try to push him off. "you'll get a headache."
your fingers wrap around his wrist. "you're my headache."
he lets out a mock gasp before pulling away entirely. felix doesn't miss your slight pout as he sits up. "actually?"
you're chasing after him, sitting up and attempting to grab his arm. felix lets you. "no." you squeeze his arm to you. "i meant it in a you're my best friend way."
"that so?" you nod innocently, all wide eyes as if to say see? i have no intentions of being anything other than a perfect angel.
felix pretends to contemplate forgiveness, then, with no warning lays down. you're not given a chance to deliberate what that means before he's tugging on your arm. he mumbles a brief, explanatory, "c'mere," as he pulls you into his chest.
you listen, moving to rest your chin against the side of his chest. your arm's across him. felix's shirt has ridden up right where your fingertips naturally rest. the bare contact makes goosebumps break out across your arms.
"go out with me tonight," he tries, voice soft. you have to drop your gaze to keep from immediately melting and agreeing to whatever he wants. "c'mon, think it's good for you to take a break every now and then."
you lift your head up just enough to glare at him. felix shifts his leg, pressing it against yours. you push back gently, just enough to reciprocate the gesture. "so you're saying i'm a friendless loser that only ever goes out when you make me?"
"i'm saying," he extends the syllables to buy himself some time to think, "i have to go, and i won't have any fun without you."
you find it hard to imagine that felix catton ever has to do anything he doesn't want to. you're also confident in his ability to find fun at a party. "you have farleigh, and oliver, and annabel--you'll be fine without me."
his hand is on your back, fingers tracing lazy patterns against the fabric of your t-shirt. "i don't want anyone else." the soft whine in his tone paired with his slight pout makes him seem smaller, like a little kid that just needs to be wrapped up. "i want you."
"you have me."
felix frowns, "doesn't feel like it."
you're losing. "do you really want me to go that badly?"
he smiles, feeling the crack in your resolve. "we'll just go for a little. have a drink or two, then y'can sleepover if you want." you do like sleeping over in felix's dorm. "and then tomorrow we can do whatever you want--study, watch a movie, dinner."
a sleepover and a saturday. this no longer feels like a loss. you smile, "deal."
felix's available hand finds your hip. "that's my girl."
the comment makes your face feel warm, you drop your head to rest on his stomach to hide any potential signs of being flustered. he'd tease you to no end about it. "i should get up, start getting ready."
he runs his hand down your back, "it's not until later." he moves his hand back up slowly. his thumb starts traces circles against your shoulder. "we've got time."

[[and then I met you || ch. 7]]
Series: Daredevil || Pairing: Matt Murdock x Fem!Reader || Rating: Explicit
Summary:
A one-night stand years ago gave you a daughter and you are now able to put a name to her father – Matthew Murdock. Everything is about to change again as you navigate trying to integrate your life with that of the handsome and charming blind lawyer’s and Matt realizes he needs to protect his new family from not only Hell's Kitchen but from the world.
pt: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6
When you escaped your parents’ house and moved into the city for college, you already knew the basics of cooking. Since you had turned fourteen, it had been your responsibility to feed yourself. 'You are old enough to figure it out' was what your parents had told you. Living in the dorms didn't give you much opportunity to cook and when you finally had your own kitchen to really play around in, you didn't have the money to afford a full pantry. It was hard, but it never deterred you and you learned a couple of good recipes.
When Minnie came along and you were able to figure out her likes and dislikes, you made a few changes - you could finally afford to get all organic produce and bread not made from ninety percent sawdust and you started cooking even more because your little one didn't like things from a can.
And despite what the experts and people online say, you give in to every one of Minnie's food whims. You don't want to force her to eat things she doesn't like. Your parents never listened to you, even if the food made you sick - you ate what was given to you or not at all. You are not going to do that to her and the rules you have come up with are she at least has to try something. If she doesn't like it, she doesn't need to eat it, and the past few months she's been pretty good at telling you why she doesn't like something. You don't always understand her reasoning, but you accept and tell her that she can try it again when she's bigger.
Her favorite thing that you make is lasagna. You make it from scratch and she usually loves to help you and will spend all day excited for ooey-gooey cheese.
Usually.
Today is not a usual day. Today your daughter is an upset little banshee. As soon as she woke up, she was in a bad mood. She didn't want to be touched at all and getting her dressed was a nightmare. Lots of 'no's and crying about how all her clothes were itchy until you finally allowed her to just wear her swimsuit. It was the only thing you could get her to stay in. You didn't even try with her hair, running your fingers through it to get out some knots, but that only lasted a full five seconds before she was running away from you.
You are trying to be patient with her - you know that something must be upsetting her, whether it be waking up on the wrong side of the bed or she's starting to get a cold and not feeling well. She doesn't know how to express herself beyond crying and you don't blame her. You want to cry when you don't feel well.
That doesn't mean it isn't stressful for you. The back of your skull is throbbing from her screams and your own mood is sour because you don't know how to help. Hearing her so upset breaks your heart.
Matt is supposed to come by, thus the homemade dinner, but part of you wonders if you should cancel. Minnie isn't going to calm down anytime soon and you would feel bad having him come over just to witness a tantrum. On the other hand, tantrums are a part of having a child.
You decide to leave it up to him and send him a text letting him know Minnie is having a bad day. He quickly responds he still wants to come, so you return to working on your tomato sauce as quietly as you can.
Mouse has hidden herself under a throw blanket with her tablet and her plushies on the couch. You don't worry about her doing anything she shouldn't be - the tablet is child locked to hell and back - but it is a little hard to tell what she is doing since she's muted the tablet. There is an eerie purple glow coming from under the blanket, so you can guess she's playing one of her games. You've found a few that don't require sound that she enjoys - a few dress up games and matching things.
Occasionally you hear her sniffle or mumble but she doesn't call for you, so you let her be. She didn't really nap today, so you're trying to avoid another meltdown. You are hoping when you remind her Matt is coming, it will help her mood. You're a little jealous he is obviously her new favorite person, but also you are so happy for it.
Your original idea of taking things slow has been adjusted based on her reaction. You wanted to start talking to her about family today and build her up to the idea of having a dad, then have Matt over so she starts that association. That obviously is not going to happen.
You finish up your prep and start to assemble the lasagna, laying sheets of pasta down before adding sauce and cheese then repeating the process until the pan is full. You made a little extra, with the intention of sending Matt home with leftovers. He had mentioned in passing that he doesn't get to cook much and living off take out is not ideal.
The baking pan gets put into the oven and the timer is set, then you aren't sure what to do with yourself. It will take about an hour and Matt is scheduled to arrive then.
You could do some cleaning, but with how Minnie is, you don't want to set her off. You know when she gets like this, any little thing can trigger her, so the best you can come up with is scrolling your phone.
Still, you want to be with your baby, so you make your way to the couch. You keep your voice just above a whisper, knowing she's been itching at her ears all day, "Mouse, can I sit with you on the couch?"
You know she heard you based on the way the blanket moves. It takes a moment before you hear a tiny 'okay'.
You tuck yourself into the opposite corner and take out your phone to bring up something to look at. As soon as you start scrolling your feed, the glowing blanket mound starts moving towards you and you are easily overtaken by it. Minnie gets herself into your lap, still hidden away, then flops against your chest. You can feel her tablet against your thigh and you're pretty sure Scooby is jammed into your stomach, but as long as she's good, you're good.
You keep an eye on the time as you flick through your phone. A majority of the news sites you follow are filling your feed with stories about the explosion in Connecticut. An uneasiness fills your stomach when you see the word 'attack' being thrown around. The headlines say they have determined the destruction was intentional and not an accident, though no one has claimed responsibility. Tony Stark gave some sort of press conference, so his face is all over your phone.
You don't need this today, so you switch over to browsing some online shops. Minnie is getting too big for her winter coat, so you definitely need to get her one before the weather changes and prices go up. You'll have to get her approval before you make a final purchase, but it's good to check what is in the market.
About twenty minutes before you are due to take the lasagna out of the oven, Matt texts you to let you know he is on his way. You confirm that you got his message, then gently run a hand over the mound in your lap, "Hey, sweetie. Dinner is almost ready. Do you remember what I said about dinner tonight?"
The blanket gets tugged and moved until Minnie can poke just the top of her head out. She squints at you, like she is judging you, before mumbling out, "Mister Matt is coming?"
You give her a soft smile, trying to comfort her in any way you can, "That's right, baby, Mister Matt is going to come over and have dinner with us."
She squirms in your lap, before flopping herself forward again and declaring, "I want juice."
"Okay, sweetie."
You manage to gather her, her blanket, her tablet, and some plushies into your arms and get Minnie on your hip to carry her to the kitchen. You're an expert at doing things one handed and it only takes you a minute to make up a sippy cup. Once that is in her little hands, you deposit her into her seat at the dining table. You let her keep her blanket and toys, setting up Scooby and Pig so they are in the seat next to her and her tablet is on the table in front of her.
She is indeed playing a dress up game and as she nurses her juice, she looks at each dress option for the character she's dressing. As she does that, you start to set the table around her. You can tell that despite the cuddles and quiet, your Mouse is still in a grumpy mood. You really, really hope that Matt will help her smile a little.
Once everything is set, you check on the lasagna. It smells and looks delicious to you, and you take the sheet tray out a little early so it can start to cool. That gets Minnie's attention, and you can see her watching you out of the corner of your eye. She's stuck her fingers in her mouth, sucking on them as her eyes follow you around the kitchen.
You are so busy watching Mouse watch you, you don't keep track of the time and when there is a soft knock at the front door, you jump.
You scurry to answer, putting your hand over your heart and telling yourself to chill out. You know who it is and why they are here, and you don't need to panic over it. It's just Matt, you tell yourself.
It's just Matt.
You open the door and your breath catches.
It is just Matt, but Matt is Matt, and he makes your heart pound in a different way.
He's come right from work, so he's in one of his crisp, fitted suits. His hair is fluffed up, like he's run his fingers through it too many times, and he's got that permanent five o'clock shadow. He looks like some GQ model, standing in your doorway.
Embarrassment runs through you. You're not nearly as dressed up as he is. Even on his casual days, he looks so fashionable and cool, and you are wearing biker shorts and a black T-shirt. You look by no means raggedy, but maybe you should have changed. Just because Matt can't see what you are wearing doesn't mean you can be a slob.
"Hi," you eventually choke out and Matt's face lights up.
"Hey there," he says back, then he's holding up a bottle of wine and smiling so sweetly, "I thought I'd try contributing this time and I figured you might need a glass."
You can't help but flush. Today has been rather long and a glass of wine sounds amazing. You don't drink often, but he is right and a glass to unwind sounds perfect.
"You're a saint," you praise, and step aside so he can come in. "How was your day? Oh, you can put your jacket and bag to your left. There's hooks about chest level."
Matt thanks you, then reaches out to feel the wall. He finds the hooks quickly, then hangs his saddle bag before starting to remove his coat, "it was good. We were able to wrap up a few smaller cases - sometimes it just takes someone getting a lawyer for others to cave and do the right thing. Cheaper to just do the right thing than get sued and having to do it anyways, plus all the pay outs and fees."
"That is good," you hum, very much meaning it. You're glad those people got the help they needed. "You mentioned having a handful of cases, so that frees up your plate a little bit, right?"
Matt laughs a little, smile still wide, "A little bit. It's a nice change of things - we aren't hurting for paying clients, so we are going to try to take on a few more pro-bono things. We're getting into a nice groove - or so Foggy claims. He's leading that charge - making sure we aren't over working ourselves."
"I'll have to send him a thank you card," you tease, surprising yourself with it.
"He'd like that, he'd get to lord it over me," he replies. Then he turns to you and steps forward, reaching out and finding your arm. He ghosts his fingers up until he oh-so-gently wraps them around your bicep and steps forward until you're a breath away from each other and you have to look down at his chest, so you are not staring at your own reflection in his glasses. His voice drops to something quiet and intimate, and you can barely hear him through the pounding of your heart in your ears.
"I told them. About you. About Minnie."
You find yourself smiling at the news. That makes it more real, doesn't it? It isn't just the courts acknowledging Matt is Minnie's father - it's the real world. It's Matt wanting her - wanting to show the world he wants his daughter.
That's all you want.
You step just a fraction closer, and to keep your balance and let Matt know how close you are, you place your hand in Matt's chest. Almost instantly, his free hand goes to your waist, and you feel steady.
You bite your bottom lip, then ask, your curiosity so much bigger than your ability to keep your mouth shut, "What did they say?"
He huffs and lightly shakes his head, "After yelling at me for keeping it a secret? They want to meet you, properly. If that is okay. I told them I'd ask you before confirming anything." He hums, then drops his voice even more, "Karen got me magnets so I could hang all the work I got up on my fridge at home."
"You're going to need a lot of them," you whisper back to him. "I ordered popsicle sticks and puff balls so she can make 3D things."
"I can't wait. Karen got me a bulk pack of magnets."
You giggle at that, but before you can reply, a needy little voice calls out from the dining table, "Mommy!"
You pull away from Matt, his fingers tracing down from your bicep to your wrist before he drops his hand, and turn to walk towards your daughter, "Yes, Mouse?"
"I'm hungry!"
She's poked her head out from under the blanket and is now wearing it like a cape and her chubby little cheeks are pulled down into an upset frown. You have a feeling a tantrum may be close - there's nothing worse than a hangry toddler.
You take a breath, then smile at your daughter, "Okay. Mister Matt is here so we can have dinner now. Do you want to tell him what we are having?"
Matt taps his way into the main living space, and you know you should give him a quick tour, but you think if you delay dinner at all, Minnie is going to start crying, so you tell him instead where the table is.
Minnie doesn't seem to want to engage, stuffing her fingers back into her mouth. Luckily, Matt isn't dissuaded by that. He sets the wine bottle down before taking the seat across from Minnie.
"It smells like we're going to have lasagna for dinner. Is that what we are having?" he asks, voice soft and gentle.
Your little one rocks side to side, keeping her fingers in her mouth before nodding. Normally, you would remind her to use her words, but you don't want to push, so you relay her message to Matt, "She nodded."
Matt hums softly in response. He tilts his head slightly, brows knitting together, before leaning forward just a fraction, "Do you want us to leave you alone until you eat?"
You are surprised by the question then even more surprised when he gets the tiniest, 'yes' in reply. Matt's face softens at that, and he nods to Minnie.
"Okay. Can I still talk to your Mommy, or do you want us to be quiet, too?"
You stand, dish towel in your hands, ready to bring the lasagna to the table, watching your daughter interact with her father. He's being so gentle and understanding with her and you can tell he's being genuine. You can hear the care in his words, how he's giving her choice and not pushing her to talk to him.
You'll gladly eat dinner in silence if Minnie doesn't want either of you to talk. You don't know how it will work, but you'll try.
Your little one doesn't answer the question right away. She looks between you and Matt, before pulling her fingers out of her mouth to speak, "You can talk to Mommy."
"Thank you, sweetheart. We'll be quiet, okay?" Matt promises.
You quickly parrot him, giving your own soft smile, "Thank you, baby. We'll keep it down."
Minnie snuggles herself tighter into her blanket and you take that as a sign to get yourself into gear. You carefully pick up the lasagna pan and bring it over to the table, setting it as far as possible away from your little one.
Matt tilts his head towards you, and the food, "That smells delicious. Did you make it yourself?"
You go back to the kitchen to get your serving utensils and answer in the softest voice you can muster that isn't whispering, "Thank you, I did. I found an all organic, from scratch recipe online and have been using it ever since. It's even fancy, way too expensive, cheese. I, uh, made extra. For you to take home, if you want."
Matt licks his lips, and you can tell he's trying to hold back a big smile. It makes your insides turn in a funny way - his kindness and appreciation. You are, as sad as it is, not used to such treatment and for whatever reason that, combined with Minnie's attitude, and Matt being in your apartment for the first time kick starts your anxiety. You are definitely very aware of your heartbeat, and it feels like someone dipped your heart into ice water before it disappears into a hollowness.
This feeling isn't new to you, so you try to push past it, not let your sudden panic ruin things, because despite your little one's sourness, things are okay. You tell yourself things are okay.
Your tiny bout of distress goes unnoticed, as it lasts the blink of an eye. Matt leans back in his chair, letting his smile start to crack through, "You didn't have to do that, but I will definitely take you up on it. I can't turn away a home cooked meal."
You force yourself to smile and cut out a slice of lasagna for Matt, before leaning over to place it on his plate, "Guests first."
"Thank you," Matt practically cooes, "I don't think I've been this excited for a dinner in a long time."
The praise does all sorts of things to you, so instead you focus on cutting out a little slice for Minnie and serving it to her. As soon as the food is in front of her, she stabs her fork into it and shovels a piece into her pouty mouth. You don't blame her at all.
"Would you like a glass of wine…?" You ask Matt. Minnie has her sippy juice, but you haven't set out any other drinks.
He gives you a soft, "Yes, please," and you go to get the two wine glasses you have and a cork screw. You bring them back to the table and set down the glasses before going to open the wine. You haven't done it in such a long time it takes you a minute of struggling to pop it. Matt turns his head towards you, a little grin on his face until you start pouring.
You give Matt his drink, then finally make your own plate before sitting beside Matt. Minnie is still angrily stabbing at her dinner and you feel so bad for her. Even with her favorite dinner and good company, she's not having it. You expect when you put her down, either she'll try to fight you or be asleep the moment she touches the covers. You very much hope for the latter.
Matt, on the other hand, looks completely enthralled with his plate. You can tell his eyes are closed and he's clearly enjoying what he's eating.
You don't press for conversation - instead reaching for your wine. It's a deep red and delicious on your tongue and you can't remember the last time you've had a good wine. You can feel your shoulders starting to loosen.
Which of course means, everything needs to come crashing down.
One moment everything is okay, then the next, Minnie is absolutely screeching. Her face is screwed up in pain and you scramble to get out of your chair to get to her.
"Minnie! What's wrong?!" You try to ask her over her wailing.
Instead of any sort of answer, she grabs for her fork, which is stabbed into her food, and throws it as hard as she can. You watch in horror as the fork and a large chunk of lasagna still attached to it flies over the table and smacks right into Matt's chest. Panic surges through you as he also bends forward and covers his ears with a distressed face, ignoring the food staining his shirt.
You try to grab Minnie from her booster, but she does not want it and instantly starts to try and fight you, flinging her arms and legs everywhere.
"Minnie, please," you beg as she kicks you in the hip, "What's wrong, baby?!"
The only reply you get is upset screaming.
"Cover her ears!"
Matt is very suddenly beside you and clapping his hands over your baby's ears. She fights it, squirming to get away and smacking at his arms with all her might, but he doesn't budge. You stare, not understanding what is going on, what set her off, and you don't know how to help.
You don't know how to help and that sinking feeling in your chest is returning and you're scared.
Matt says your name again, then almost barks at you, "Her headphones! Get her headphones, the strongest ones!"
You don't understand why but it's something you can help with, something you can do, and you rush to the bedroom and grab her sleeping headband. Minnie has always told you this one works the best, despite the reviews of the others. You run back to the dining area and nearly stumble upon what you see.
Matt has somehow gotten Minnie out of her booster seat and into his arms, and she is octopus clinging to him. Her face is pressed into his neck, one ear on his shoulder, while he keeps his hand clamped over the other. He's lightly bouncing her in his arm as she cries against him and part of you becomes extremely distressed at seeing someone else comfort your child.
You push that away quickly to hurry forward and hold up the headband, "I've got it."
Matt nods, then turns his focus back to Minnie. He noses her hair, and you can just barely hear him over her, "It's okay, baby, Mommy has your headband. We're gonna make it quiet. I know it hurts, I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry."
You hesitate before stepping towards them. Minnie doesn't flail or pull away as you maneuver the headband and get it over both her ears. It feels so awkward to do as she cries and once it is on her head and over her ears, she reaches up and yanks on it until it is in place. Then she flops back down into the crook of Matt's neck, still crying but somehow not as urgently.
You are unsure of what to do, but everything in you screams to touch your child, so you shuffle close to Matt until you can put a comforting hand on her back.
"I'm right here, baby, it's okay," you whisper, gently rubbing a small circle along her spine.
Matt shifts slightly, and the hand that was covering Minnie's ear drops and he instead wraps it around your waist and pulls you closer, so you are flush against him, with Minnie between the two of you.
That seems to help with whatever has upset Minnie so much. She stays clinging to Matt while he oh so gently sways you back and forth. Her screeching dies down to tired-upset crying and you know she's going to keep going until she passes out.
To your absolute amazement, Matt doesn't seem deterred at all. He keeps his nose buried into his daughter's hair, talking quietly to her as she sobs, "It's okay. Shhhh, shhh. Feel my heartbeat, sweetie. Focus on that. The bad noise will stop soon, I promise. Just listen to your Mommy and I."
You have no idea what he is talking about - what the bad noise is - but it's calming Minnie down, so you let him keep going. You keep your hand on her back, gently doing your own 'shhh'ing, trying to encourage her to calm even more.
"That's my good girl," Matt hums, before giving her the briefest kiss against her temple. "Do you want to go to Mommy now?"
You don't hear Minnie respond, but she must in some way because soon enough she is being transferred into your arms. She clings to you loosely and you can feel her little body starting to droop. She must be close to wearing herself out.
She makes a little upset whine between her huffing and puffing, and you instantly take up gently bouncing her like Matt has been doing. Matt stays wrapped around both of you, taking over your role of rubbing Minnie's back.
You don't know how long you stay there, curled together and soothing Minnie, both of you whispering little words of love and comfort to your daughter.
You think you are past the worst of it, but of course that isn't the case.
Minnie starts squirming and fussing, reaching up and pressing at her ears over her headband. You look up to Matt, to see his reaction and your heart runs cold and fear spikes in you.
He looks absolutely murderous.
He's lifted his head and it is turned towards your living room, his brows scrunched and a scowl on his lips. You instinctively hug Minnie tight to you, but you quickly realize you have nothing to fear.
He stalks across your living room to your open window and yanks it shut. Right away, Minnie loops her arms back around your neck and settles with a sleepy sniffle. You press your face into her, rocking her a little more.
"I've got you, Mouse. It's okay. Mommy's right here."
You don't jump when Matt's hand brushes along your back and he once again wraps you in his arms. You allow yourself to turn ever so slightly and tuck yourself closer, lowering your head so it leans just barely against his shoulder, with Minnie hidden between your bodies.
You feel safe in that moment. You're confused why Minnie got so upset so suddenly and you're confused at how Matt knew how to handle it, but you feel safe, and even more so when Matt's arms tighten around you.
"I've got you both," he practically breathes against you. "I won't let anything get you. I'm here now. I've got you."
You close your eyes as the panic and adrenaline washes away from you and the exhaustion of your day starts to catch up to you. You very much understand how rubbing Minnie's back helps her sleep - Matt's started to drag his fingers up and down your spine and you know it could lull you into Dreamland.
Minnie's cries turn into sniffles and then quickly turn into quiet snores as the minutes pass.
You stay still until you are one hundred percent sure she's gone to the world before pulling back just slightly, and whisper, "I should go lay her down."
Your face is so close to Matt's you can practically taste his breath and your heart starts to pound at the realization of it.
You don't know if it is on account of your words or if he was also aware how tangled up the two of you were, but Matt drops his arms and steps away from you, nodding, "Yeah, she sounds pretty sleep now."
You chew your lip, not liking how your arms are suddenly chilly, but don't acknowledge it, "I'll be right back."
You turn and grab Scooby and Pig, knowing another tantrum will happen if your daughter wakes up alone, and head towards the bedroom. It is surprisingly easy to get her to let go of you and you deposit Minnie into her bed. You place her toys beside her and tuck her in, careful to not jostle her. You dare to kiss her forehead before pulling away.
As you turn to leave your bedroom, your window catches your eye. It is closed, but in front of it is a little table.
Just like in your living room. There is a table under the window, with more than a few knick knacks on it.
Your brow furrows and you return to the main living area. Matt has found his way back to the table and is drinking his glass of wine.
"Is she good?" He asks, setting down his glass and turning to face you.
"She didn't wake up at all, I think she's down for the count," you say, glancing towards where your window is before looking back to Matt. "Can I ask you something?"
"Of course," is his instant reply. You take a moment to look him over, from his fluffy hair, to the tomato sauce now on his shirt, to his fancy loafers, before returning to his handsome face.
"Matt…how did you know where the window is?"

Your angst fic had made me go into angst creative mood. Twisted wonderland Character/s of your choosing of younger sibling that have chronic illness but hide it from their family. Often when to the toilet to cough out blood to avoid suspicious. Even went as far as asking the dr to keep it a secret because they don't want to burden their family and wanted them to enjoy their life because they already suffer so much and the distance actually help. Until sibling collapse and went into coma and the Dr had to break the news that they don't have much time left.
If it not to much- I'm feeling very angsty-
Oh my the heavy angst. This is so sad tho but I love it. These actually ended up longer than I thought they would be. I just had too many thoughts and it hurt my soul to write this because it's so sad but I enjoyed it
sorry not sorry if anyone cries <3
Characters: Leona, Idia, and Malleus
warnings: Mentions of blood, implied reader death, angst, no happy ending
Request rules and Masterlists
Leona:
you knew you should tell Leona about your condition
he was your older brother and he should know
but Leona was pretty protective and would drive himself mad demanding that somebody find something to help you
and he would spend all of his time worrying and fussing over you
so you didn't tell him
you wanted him to enjoy things and be happy
he's already struggled so much growing up and you don't want to burden him more
also you wanted to peacefully enjoy the time you had with everyone without a lingering sadness in the air
so you pleaded with the doctor to keep it a secret
and thankfully they did
all you had to do was hide the blood that you may cough out
so your bathroom trips became more frequent
Leona even joked that you should see the doctor about how much you have to go to the bathroom
but he didn't know the truth, and he was happy
that's all you wanted
until one day you woke up feeling weaker
you tried to fight it and carry on as you normally would
but for some reason you just couldn't
it was when you were walking in botanical garden towards Leona
black spots started to cloud your vision and you felt like you lost control of your body
the last thing you heard was Leona shouting
Leona was very worried when he saw you collapse
and you weren't responding to him either
he rushed you to the infirmary as quickly as he could and demanded that the doctor sees you immediately
when the doctor tells him that you're in a coma and don't have much time left, he's angry
how could you not tell him about your illness
he would've tried to help you if you just told him
Leona will spend most of his time by your side, waiting for you to wake up
he's not going to waste a moment somewhere else
he doesn't know what to do with himself
he's so angry with himself for not knowing sooner and not being able to do anything
you have to wake up, you just have to
Idia:
the Shroud family was a strange one
most of the family were shut-in's that were pretty isolated and lonely
your big brother Idia was a prime example of this
he spent most of his time behind the screens and barely interacted with other people
and he didn't really have friends either
both you and Ortho wanted him to be happy
and that's why you didn't tell him about your illness
if he knew he would isolate himself further and bury himself in trying to help
he would sacrifice his own health for the sake of you
and you couldn't let that happen
though you did hope that somehow he would be able to be happy and have a friend before your illness took over
it was difficult to keep it hidden
Ortho regularly does scans on you and Idia's health so he knows if something is wrong
so he knew, but you had to convince him not to tell Idia
it was a long process and filled with tears but he gave in eventually
and so when you would spend time with Idia, Ortho would be a little sad but hide it well
when you made and excuse of going to the bathroom Ortho knew what was happening and would make up some excuse to Idia about you drinking a lot of water or something
but then one day you were walking through the school halls with Ortho and Idia's tablet
it hit you so suddenly that you didn't even have time to react
as you coughed you could feel the blood sputter out and onto your chin
this coughing fit seemed worse than the rest and you couldn't stop
it hurt and even brought you down to the ground, and after a bit you passed out
Ortho was quick to help stabilize your condition and take you to the infirmary
all that came from the tablet was panicked noises and frantic questions
once the doctor checked up on your condition, he gave them the bad news
you had been sick for a long time and it's led you to a coma
with the way your condition was progressing, you didn't have much time left
Idia was so confused
how could both he and Ortho not notice especially when Ortho did health scans
but Ortho didn't answer and Idia could just tell that Ortho already knew
Night Raven College was buzzing with gossip that day
some were saying they saw Idia Shroud himself quickly walking through the halls and others denied that it couldn't be true
the notorious shut-in would never even leave his room or go outside Ignihyde
but the rumors were true
Idia Shroud had left his room and walked through the halls to the infirmary
and he stayed there all day constantly checking up on every little change in your condition
and when he wasn't checking on your condition he would sit there quietly and think
why did this have to happen?
why did it have to be you?
it wasn't fair
Idia was making the stressful trek through the halls every day so he could stay by your side in case you woke up
as he sat there he would play some of his video games and tell you all about it like he normally would, but this time you weren't able to respond
Malleus:
Malleus didn't have a lot of people he treasured in his life
those in Diasomnia were like his family, but you were actually his family so he treasured you dearly
he was always looking out for you and doing everything he could to make sure you were happy, and you wanted the same for him
so when the doctor had informed you of your illness and what would happen, you didn't want to tell him
Malleus would be crushed at the news
He had always been someone who was lonely
and you were like the one person he had that wasn't required to be around him
if he were to learn that you would soon be taken away from him, he wouldn't be able to cope
and you wanted to see him happy as long as you would be here
you couldn't tell him and instead kept it hidden from everyone
Malleus never questioned it much when you ran off to the bathroom
he would just ask if you were alright and once you said you were, he wouldn't ask past that
and so many days and even weeks past as you spent time with Malleus
he seemed happy and you were happy to see him like that
but it was when you were going on one of his gargoyle walks when the world started to spin
you wanted to ignore it and act natural before Malleus could notice, but it was all to much
your legs seemed more tired than usual and you fell to the ground
you could hear Malleus ask you repeatedly what was wrong but you couldn't answer
then the world faded to black
The great Malleus Draconia was terrified
you weren't responding to him and he didn't know what was wrong
his healing magic was amazing, but he couldn't heal injuries he didn't know about
so he picked you up and teleported the two of you to the infirmary
the doctor had to stop whatever they were already doing when the fae prince himself demanded his assistance
and the doctor checks up on you and tells Malleus everything
you were sick, now in a coma, and you were running out of time
the room was quiet for a minute as Malleus processed what the doctor said
and then, thunder
the worst thunderstorm Night Raven College has ever seen has been summoned
lightning was striking all around the campus and many students were taking shelter while terrified
but the infirmary was the safest place from the storm
Malleus sat by your side quietly pondering his thoughts
he was angry
not at you but at your illness for doing this to you, life for cursing you this way, and mostly at himself
he should've been able to see the signs before it got to this point
he should've been there for you
he should've helped you
how ironic it is that one of the most powerful mages was so helpless to save the one person they treasured most of all
Lilia, Silver, and Sebek came to find him after the storm started
and when they did, they didn't even say anything, but felt the heavy atmosphere
Lilia tried providing some comfort, but Malleus just stayed silent
for days after that, his three guards stood outside the infirmary and prevented anyone from disturbing the two of you
the storm persisted and Malleus never left your side
he would sit there for hours silently wishing for you to wake and be okay
even though he knew that was unlikely
but he wouldn't leave and possibly miss you waking up
that was simply one event he wouldn't miss
Malleus was never good at noticing how quickly time passed
but as he sat by your side, he was painfully aware of every passing second that you lie there

Hi! I finally got the chance to read Aurora a bit ago. It's a wonderful story--all I was expecting and better! I was particularly amazed and delighted by the artwork and visual mechanics used to tell the story, so I wrote a post to yell about how cool it is and break some of it down. (No criticism, just praise.) I'm mostly a hobbyist, so I'm hoping I've done it justice.
That said: zero pressure to read it or respond to this ask. Normally I wouldn't send it since I tagged, but I know Tumblr's notifs are a mess and things get lost very easily. I've been in both the "one (1) word of praise will feed me for a year" and the "oh gods don't talk about my writing/art because anything that seems Off will break my brain" modes before, and I absolutely don't want to push or make you uncomfortable!
If you are comfortable, however, I wanted to ask about your use of what I'm assuming are Screen and blending modes in sound effect words. (I'm only guessing that's the technique, though, so I could be totally wrong about how it's done! I'm mostly experienced in image manipulation in Photoshop.) Making them semi-transparent over the actions is genius :) What inspired you to do that, and are there specific techniques you use to make it work?
Same questions go for using specific colors to distinguish different characters' words and actions. I really noticed it in the cave sequence with Falst and Dainix, since their colors are so vivid in the dark (ex. Falst's little swats and Dainix's swooping kick at 1.20.9). It lends excellent clarity to busy scenes.
Thanks! Have a lovely day, enjoy your break, and happy holidays <3
You're correct about the technique! "Screen" is the blend mode I use most often for sound effects. I stumbled on it mostly through trial and error - I love how sound effects add depth to a comic panel, but it's very easy for them to obscure the art in a way I find counterproductive, so "Screen" lets me put the sound effect directly over the origin of the sound while still letting it be visible through the word. Early chapters didn't have it as much-
Most of the sound effects in early chapters are just solid colors with reduced opacity if I'm feeling fancy. But I started figuring it out around chapter 8 and 9, because Falst is kind of a sound-effect-heavy guy, especially in his fight scenes.
In order to make sure they don't impede the visibility of the action, I'll often soft-erase the top or bottom half of the SFX to reduce its opacity while still leaving it readable.
I'll usually double that up with an outline on the SFX so it's still readable. This is an especially important consideration if the SFX goes over an area of the background that's very bright or glowing.
Color-coding the speed lines and SFX to the character or force causing them isn't a hard and fast rule, but I like using it (in part because it's a habit from the OSP illustrations, where every character has a single pop of color in their lineart) mostly because it sort of codes every sound to make it clear where it's emanating from, or the general feeling of the sound. Since I normally do character-colors for SFX, something like this stands out more jarringly-
Which it's supposed to, but a big lightning strike doesn't register as anything too worrying because it's just Tess up to her usual shenanigans.
It's also very useful for magic effects, because each form of magic has its own associated palette.
And when I had a very complicated fight scene in a dark environment, I used the texture pattern I'd already made for the monster to color its SFX, so when I Screened them onto the panels they didn't obscure too much while still communicating "this is something else."
Changing the weight, lined-vs-not-lined, and opacity of the SFX words also helps to communicate that not every sound has the same feeling. A strong motion is solid and aggressive, but a crackling, unstable sound is more ephemeral and staticky.
It's definitely been a process of learning as I go - looking back at the earlier chapters I can actually see when I first tried various tricks I now use regularly, like doubling and distorting an SFX to produce the effect of a camera-shaking impact. I haven't really seen any other comics that do it like I do, probably because most other comics follow a more traditional production pipeline where text bubbles and sound effects get locked into the composition early, before the inking stage, because traditional physical comics don't have digital-art layers to play with. Adding sound effects to a page is almost the last thing I do before exporting them, and that only works because digital art and layers allow for a ton of flexibility.

The Silent Treatment
Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Genre: It's a surprise
Warnings: A bit suggestive
Word count: 1429
Summary: You give Wanda the silent treatment after she betrays you
T/N: Malysh = baby (Thanks to @veronika-y for the list I always refer to 🖤)
A/N: I wanted to write something, so @cuinaminute229 gave me the prompt - "You can't break up with me. We're married." @mirrorballwn was there too and asked for Professor Wanda although I don't think this is what she had in mind lol
I hope you like this. Let me know what you think! 🙂
You hear the front door unlock from where you are, already in bed reading a book.
After college today Wanda went out for a meal with the other members from the faculty. You were glad she was out longer than usual not wanting to see her today.
'Sweet and innocent Professor Maximoff' is how she is known, if only her colleagues and students knew what she was really like. Maybe she wouldn't be such a favorite anymore.
You knew though. You saw past the pretty smile and soft voice. You knew what kind of person lay beneath. No one knows of her back stabbing ways.
A faint, 'honey, I'm home!' makes its way to your ears but you make no effort in responding. After what she has done, how can she believe everything is okay?
While she approaches you can hear her talk about her day. Stupid questions from students. Having to deal with Stark's bad jokes during dinner. Wanting to get home to see you because she hasn't all day.
The words of an evil person.
Last night, you were pretty sure you made it clear you were unhappy. She betrayed you and now she is acting like nothing happened.
You remain silent. You have nothing more to say after the events from the previous night.
Making her way around the bedroom she gets ready for bed, still droning on about the events that took place today.
She turns in your direction, seeing you busy with your book she walks over, planting a soft kiss on your head before making her way to the bathroom, "You're quiet today, malysh."
'Malysh.' How dare she. Despicable. It makes you sick to your stomach.
Even more so because you don't know how long it's been since you've turned a page of your book. The thoughts in your mind prevent you from concentrating on anything else, only Wanda's actions.
Wanda returns, placing her rings she had forgotten to take off, in front of the vanity mirror as she finishes her spiel of the day. When you don't look up to her once again with your usual smile she begins to worry because you haven't said a word to her since she has arrived home.
"Malysh..." She begins, "what's going on?"
Oh, so now she cares? You finally turn to Wanda with a hard look that takes her back slightly.
"I told you, we're broken up," you say monotonously, then turn your attention back to your book to continue 'reading'.
Wanda furrows her eyebrows, wondering what it was she could have done to make you act so cold towards her. Then it dawns on her.
Rolling her eyes, smiling to herself Wanda finishes rubbing in her moisturiser. Slowly, she makes her way over to you, climbing onto your lap, pulling the book out of your hands at the same time. You look the opposite way, annoyed, as she places it on the side table.
"Y/n-"
"Don't." You say, resolutely.
"This is still about last night? I said I was sorry," Wanda coos, trying to make eye contact but not forcing you to look her way.
"It was unforgivable, Wanda," you say and return to silence, crossing your arms.
Wanda lets out a sigh and instead of using words she scoots closer to you. Her attempt to kiss your cheek is intercepted by your hand.
"Baby," she whines, extending the word, "it's not that big of a deal."
You turn to Wanda with an incredulous look, "Not making someone pay rent is a clear rule violation!" You exasperate, "Everyone else made their partners pay, why did Nat get away with not making Maria pay? And then you took her side! It was the highest form of betrayal in my eyes."
She tries not to smile but it's so hard with how seriously you have been taking this.
"Stickler Steve was the only one on my side last night, so he's the only friend I have left as far as I'm concerned, and…" you make a fake look as if you are remembering something, "oh yeah, we're broken up."
Wanda doesn't bother hiding her smile now, the weekly game night with your friends always ends with a new story, this time it is centred around your competitiveness. "Well that's too bad. You can't break up with me, we're married," Wanda scoffs.
"So you do remember you're married to me and not to Nat and Maria. As my wife, you are supposed to take my side, it's in the contract," you make up. "I can't believe Tony took their side too," you finish with a scowl.
"Baby, I said I was sorry." When Wanda sees you are not making any attempt to say anything else, she realises she will have to take it up a notch. "Let me make it up to you," she says quickly then kisses you before you can even think. The taste of toothpaste and Wanda's lingering perfume overtake your senses. She presses harder into you, taking your breath away.
You pull your head back, hands on Wanda's shoulders to keep her away, "N- No. Y- You're not allowed to kiss me," you stutter, clearly affected.
"No?" she questions playfully in a low voice, moving forward against your hands. When her lips press against yours again you 'attempt' to push against her shoulders again but quickly crumble and get lost in the kiss.
As it progresses you roll over moving your kisses to her neck, a hand rising under her shirt making her moan. Wanda smiles when she sees where this is going, there is no way you are going to stop now.
Your will is only so strong when it comes to Wanda.
…
Your eyes are closed as Wanda lays on top of you, legs tangled together in the bed sheets. She threads her fingers through your hair, her warm body pressed against yours not helping you wanting to stay 'angry' at her.
"I'm still mad at you, you know," you sigh. Inwardly cursing yourself because you wanted your words to come out more seriously than they do.
Wanda hovers over you, moving her legs to either side of your waist, a position that is also not helping you school your features to be mad at her. You can feel the aftermath of your activities between her legs, her heat radiating on your stomach.
She gets you to look her straight in the eye by squashing your cheeks together and pulling you to look in her direction. "Y/n. I'm sorry," she says seriously, holding heavy eye contact, trying to stop a smirk from appearing on her face.
Cupping your cheeks with both hands after you look away dramatically, Wanda starts to place quick kisses all over your face saying "I'm sorry" after each one.
You let out an airy laugh, "Okay! Okay. I accept your apology."
Wanda smiles and pecks your lips. As you continue to speak she rests her weight fully on you leaning her chin against her hands now resting on your chest, "This doesn't mean I forgive you! You have to prove yourself on the next game night," you pout, running your fingers through her hair forcing her eyes to close.
Wanda hums, a cheeky smirk overtaking her face, "Do you still want to break up with me?" She asks, opening her eyes while biting her bottom lip, raising an eyebrow waiting for your response.
You pretend to think of your reply, "For now? No."
"For now, huh?" She says, placing her hands either side of your head hovering over you, "I guess I should make the most of you while I have you," she says huskily as she rolls her hips against you and she moves in to kiss you.
Once again she takes your breath away and you have no choice but to oblige, placing your hands on her hips.
When you pull away, Wanda rests her head against yours allowing you both to catch your breath.
Wanda is the best thing that has ever happened to you so you make sure she knows that. You move a hand to rub her cheek with your thumb, "I love you," you tell her as if the room is full of people and you are telling her a secret.
Once Wanda replies with her 'I love you' you bring her lips back to yours and show her in more ways than one, just how much you love her, the game night forgotten… until the next time you needed to remind her of her betrayal of course.
A/N: Did you think they were going to break up? April fools, I guess... Hehehe

I'll Love You 'til the Grass Around My Gravestone is Deceased
post azkaban sirius black x fem!reader
CHAPTER TWENTY (see full series list here)
1993
On the 22nd of November you sit on the floor of your office late at night, watching the flames of your fireplace crackle and pop. Beside you, sits Harry, eyes focused on the fire as well. Sirius had asked him to wait in front of the fire in your office at one o'clock and for you to be there too. You can't say your heart isn't beating faster than the steady tick of the clock on the wall, worried and giddy at the same time.
"I'm sorry about this whole situation, Harry," you say with a sigh, reaching out to stroke Dubh's fur idly as she clambers into your lap. "I know this isn't what you want. I tried everything to get them to change the rules but nothing worked."
"Thanks," he says blankly, like he's used to being disappointed.
"And that article in the paper — "
"I didn't say anything of that. It's a lie," Harry responds quickly.
You nod. "I'm well aware. Rita Skeeter is...difficult." As soon as the words have left your mouth, you grimace, shaking your head. "Actually, she doesn't deserve that nicety. She's a bitch, Harry. A nasty old hag that has nothing better to do with her life than spread rumours and sensationalise everything in sight."
Harry seems slightly taken aback by your words but nods in fierce agreement nonetheless.
"My best advice to you, Harry, is to run for the hills every time you see her — or just wave me over if I'm near. I am well accustomed to small talk with people like her — the trick is to just get them talking about themselves."
He nods. "I don't plan on going anywhere near her ever again."
"Smart decision," you say, sighing. "And look — I know I'm not supposed to get involved but if you need any help whatsoever, just ask. There's plenty of useful spells I can teach you and tips I can give — anything at all."
Just then, the flames move in a peculiar fashion and Sirius' head appears in the fire. Both you and Harry let out a small gasp, and when you look at Harry, his face has broken into the biggest smile you've seen him wear in weeks.
"Sirius!" Harry exclaims immediately.
He looks different from the last time you seen him. His face had looked gaunt and sunken, but now he looks far healthier and his hair, which was long, matted and greasy, is now clean and neat. You're glad to see that though he's trimmed it a tad, he's kept the beard. He looks younger.
"Hello, Harry," he says, before he turns to you, smiling, "and hello to you too, love."
You bring your hand up and give him a tiny little wave, unable to stop the giddy smile taking over your face at the sight of him.
"How're you doing?" Harry asks.
"Never mind me, how are you?" Sirius asks firmly, returning his attention to his godson.
"I'm — " Harry stops himself suddenly, holding himself back. Just when you're about to check if he's alright, he spills. He tells the two of you everything: about how no one believes that he hasn't entered himself into the tournament, how Rita Skeeter had lied about him in the Daily Prophet, how he can't walk down a corridor without getting sneered at, and about the toll it's all taken on his friendship with Ron.
You feel your heart ache for him. He deserves absolutely none of this and you wish you could do more to help.
"Hagrid's just shown me what's coming in the first task, and it's dragons — I'm a goner," he finishes desperately.
Sirius is looking at Harry with deep concern as he says, "Dragons we can deal with, Harry, but we'll get to that in a minute — I haven't got long here...I've broken into a wizarding house to use the fire, but they could be back at any time. There are things I need to warn you about."
"Just break into Moony's house next time," you say simply, shrugging. "Sounds much easier to me."
Sirius gives you a look that suggests he already thought of that, but obviously decided not to as he was already coming north to see you two. You smile cheekily at him and he shakes his head, refocusing his attention on Harry.
"What do you need to warn me about?" Harry asks.
"Karkaroff," Sirius says. "Harry, he was a Death Eater. You know what Death Eaters are, don't you?"
"He's a Death Eater?" You're shocked. Just this morning you picked his fork off the ground for him at breakfast!
"He was caught, he was in Azkaban with me, but he got released. I'd bet that's why Dumbledore wanted an Auror at Hogwarts this year — to keep an eye on him. Moody caught Karkaroff. Put him into Azkaban in the first place."
There already is an Auror at Hogwarts, you think. Or did Dumbly-dorr just forget about me?
"Karkaroff got released?" Harry says slowly. "Why did they release him?"
"He did a deal with the Ministry of Magic," Sirius replies bitterly. "He said he'd seen the error of his ways, and then named names...he put a load of other people into Azkaban in his place...he's not very popular there, I can tell you. And since he got out, from what I can tell, he's been teaching the Dark Arts to every student who passes through that school of his. So watch out for the Durmstrang champion as well."
How do you not remember any of this? Surely you'd have seen this all mentioned in the papers around that time?
"Okay..." Harry says. "But...are you saying that Karkaroff put my name in the goblet? Because if he did, he's a really good actor. He seemed furious about it. He wanted to stop me from competing."
"We know he's a good actor," says Sirius, "because he convinced the Ministry of Magic to set him free, didn't he? Now, I've been keeping an eye on the Daily Prophet, Harry — "
"You and the rest of the world," he says bitterly.
"— and reading between the lines of that Skeeter woman's article last month, Moody was attacked the night before he started at Hogwarts. Yes, I know she says it was another false alarm," Sirius says hastily, seeing Harry about to speak, "but I don't think so somehow. I think someone tried to stop him from getting to Hogwarts. I think someone knew their job would be a lot more difficult with him around. And no one's going to look into it too closely; Mad-Eye's heard intruders a bit too often. But that doesn't mean he still can't spot the real thing. Moody was the best Auror the Ministry ever had."
"So...what are you saying? Karkaroff's trying to kill me? But — why?"
Sirius hesitates.
"I've been hearing some very strange things," he says apprehensively. "The Death Eaters seem to be a bit more active than usual lately. They showed themselves at the Quidditch World Cup, didn't they? Someone cast the Dark Mark...and then — did you hear about that Ministry witch who's gone missing?"
"Bertha Jorkins?" You say. You recall reading that article about her disappearance not too long ago.
"Exactly...she disappeared to Albania, and that's definitely where Voldemort was rumoured to be last...and she would have known the Triwizard Tournament was coming up, wouldn't she?"
"Yeah, but...it's not very likely she'd have walked straight into Voldemort, is it?" says Harry.
"I wouldn't be too sure about that," Sirius says grimly, glancing at you. "Do you remember her at school?"
You nod your head. "She was at Hogwarts when we were, a few years above us," you explain to Harry. "As thick as a board, she was. Very nosey, too. Awful combination."
"Makes her easy to lure into a trap," Sirius finishes.
"So...so Voldemort could have found out about the tournament?" says Harry. "Is that what you mean? You think Karkaroff might be here on his orders?"
"I don’t know," Sirius says with a shake of his head, "I just don’t know...Karkaroff doesn’t strike me as the type who’d go back to Voldemort unless he knew Voldemort was powerful enough to protect him. But whoever put your name in that goblet did it for a reason, and I can’t help thinking the tournament would be a very good way to attack you and make it look like an accident."
"Looks like a really good plan from where I’m standing." Harry grins bleakly. "They'll just have to stand back and let the dragons do their stuff."
"You'll be fine," you reassure firmly, though you're not sure if it's for Harry's sake or your own. "I'll be there, all the rest of the teachers will be there, and there'll be that group of dragon keepers there too."
"Look, about these dragons," Sirius says, speaking quickly now, glancing around him furtively, "There's a way, Harry. Don't be tempted to try a simple Stunning Spell — dragons are too strong and powerfully magical to be knocked out by a single stunner, you need about half a dozen wizards at a time to overcome a dragon — "
"Yeah, I know, I just saw," Harry says.
"But you can do it alone," Sirius tells him, looking him straight in the eye. "There is a way, a simple spell's all you need — "
Knock-knock.
At once, all three of you go dead silent and whip your heads to the closed door.
"Go, Sirius, quickly!" You hiss at him urgently.
You scramble to your feet, grabbing Harry's invisibilty cloak off the desk and launching it at him.
"Quick!"
Harry frantically pulls the cloak over his head and ducks behind your desk as you make you way over to the door, glancing back at the fireplace to see that Sirius' head has disappeared and the flames have returned to normal. You feel a small pang in your heart.
Who could possibly be knocking at your door at one o'clock in the morning? Surely everyone is asleep by now?
You pull the door open and are met with nothing but the quiet, dark corridor.
"Must've been Peeves," you mutter angrily, moving to close the door. Of course that poltergeist would find a way to cut your time with Sirius short.
"Oh, no, mistress, it is Bitsy!"
You look down in search of the voice and sure enough, at the foot of your door, is Bitsy, grinning up widely at you with her ginormous eyes reflecting the flickering light of the candles on the wall. You notice that she's holding a tray of scones in her tiny hands.
"Bitsy?" You say in shock and confusion. "What are you doing here? Is everything alright?"
"Bitsy was cleaning this corridor, mistress, and heard talking coming from mistress's office! And Bitsy thinks 'why is mistress up so late talking?' Perhaps she has a guest and is very hungry! Mistress was not at breakfast this morning, and I isn't seeing mistress in the kitchens either!"
While part of you feels angry and cheated that she's just interrupted your seldom chance to talk to your husband, you can't be mad at Bitsy and her big kind heart.
You chuckle softly. "Oh, Bitsy. You are far too kind to me. You're right, I didn't attend breakfast this morning nor did I go to the kitchens in the afternoon — I had breakfast with a friend of mine in Hogsmeade today. I should have told you."
Bitsy beams at you and holds the tray out for you to take. "Bitsy is glad to know you did not go hungry this morning. For you, mistress!"
You accept the tray with a smile. "Thank you, Bitsy. You are very kind — let me go fetch something to give you as a thank you."
"Oh, no, mistress! I cannot accept anything from you, I is just doing my duty!"
You leave her momentarily, placing the tray of scones down, grabbing a box off your desk and returning to hand it to her. "Film for your camera, Bitsy. So you can take more pictures. "
You don't miss the gleeful smile that spreads over Bitsy's face as she looks at the box in wonder. "Mistress, I must not — "
"I insist, Bitsy. Actually — I order you to accept the film. I know how much you love your camera," you tell her, pushing it into her hands.
"Thank you, mistress," she says gratefully, bowing to you. "I must return to my work now, unless mistress requires Bitsy for anything?"
You shake your head, smiling. "No, but thank you, Bitsy. I think it's time for mistress to get some rest."
Bitsy leaves, clutching the film tightly in her hands and bowing out of your view before Disapparating. You close the door behind you, letting out a sigh as Harry stands up slowly, pulling the cloak off.
"I'm sorry about that, Harry," you say. "I really wish we could have more time with Sirius."
"Yeah, me too. Was that a house elf?"
You nod, chuckling. "Sure was. That's Bitsy. You see, I stay up much later than everyone else — I'm usually up in the tower because of course, the best time to view the stars is at night, so I sleep in the next day and miss breakfast a lot of the time. And when I do, I can go down to the kitchens and Bitsy and all the other house elves will give me something to eat — have done since I was in school myself and did the exact same thing. Bitsy is my saviour, honestly. She's an absolute gem."
"You're able to get into the Hogwarts kitchens?" Harry says curiously.
"Yep. There's a painting of a bowl of fruit down by the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room — just tickle the pear and the door'll open right up for you."
You know that as a teacher you probably shouldn't be telling him this, but you don't really care. You went there countless times as a student so why shouldn't he?
Harry nods thoughtfully before asking, "That spell Sirius mentioned, that could defeat a dragon...have you any idea what it is?"
You bite your lip, drumming your fingers against your hip as you search your brain for anything like that. "I don't, Harry, I'm sorry. Perhaps you could try confundus, and confuse it? I can't say I'm too familiar with dragons...now, you should go to bed, Harry. A good night's sleep for the next few days is what you need before the first task. And in the meantime, I'll have a look and see if I can figure something out for you."
"Thanks, but I doubt I'll find it easy to sleep," Harry remarks, throwing the cloak back over his head.
"Well, if you do find that you can't sleep, come up the Tower," you tell him with a smile, pulling the door open for his invisible figure. "I find stargazing is the best way to relieve stress and solve problems."
✧*。✧*。
You feel like you're about to get sick. You stare at the Hungarian Horntail, huge and terrifying as she crouches protectively over her eggs, huffing great hot breaths out of her large nostrils. And there, standing across from this fearsome beast as though rooted to the spot, is Harry. The crowd roars around you but you can barely hear them as your stomach knots and twists and flips with sickening worry.
"Accio Firebolt!" Harry yells, raising his wand.
You wait. The crowd waits. Harry waits.
And then you see it. Harry's broomstick, his Firebolt, hurtles towards him and stops in mid-air beside him, waiting for him to mount it. You vaguely register Ludo Bagman roaring something over the crowd in response to this, but you're too focused on praying to whatever great deities you can to protect your godson. You're just so relieved that he managed to figure something out — and something so clever, too! Why hadn't you thought of a Summoning Spell? It's so simple. Sirius will be so proud of Harry when he finds out.
Harry rises into the air, the wind rushing through his hair, surveying the dragon not far below him. A sort of resolve seems to come over him and then he dives, forcing you to bring your hands up to cover your eyes in fear.
"Oh, I can't watch," you breathe. Beside you, Minerva gives you an understanding look as she watches on. You hear the rush of fire, the crowd cheering and screaming, and then —
"Great Scott, he can fly!" Bagman roars. "Are you watching this, Mr Krum?"
You open your eyes just in time to see Harry plummet to the ground once more, just missing the burst of flames that flies from the Horntail's open maw — but not quick enough to completely avoid the whip of her tail and to your horror, one of the long spikes grazes Harry's shoulder, ripping his robes.
"Harry!" You shriek, practically about to chew your finger off with the alarming rate you're biting the tips of your nails as you reluctantly watch on, wishing for it to be over.
He begins to fly this way, then that, not near enough to make the dragon breathe fire at him to stave him off, but still posing a sufficient enough threat to make her keep her eyes focused on him, tracking his every move.
The dragon's head sways with his movements, her eyes unwavering as she followed him, gruesome fangs bared. You can feel your heart palpitating in your chest. Harry rises even higher, the Horntail's head rising with him, her neck now stretched out to its fullest extent.
You jump as the Horntail lets out a deafening roar, her tail thrashing threateningly as she blows another burst of fire at him, which he thankfully dodges.
She opens her mouth and then she finally rears, spreading her great, black, leathery wings at last and Harry seizes the opportunity to dive at an incredible speed. You can barely keep your eyes on him with the rate he's whistling through the air, hurtling towards the nest of eggs.
"Come on, come on, come on..." you chant, hands tapping frantically at the tops of your thighs as you sit on the edge of your seat, watching impatiently.
Harry takes his hands off his broom, seizes the golden egg, and with another huge burst of speed, he's off and soaring out over the stands. He tucks the egg safely under his uninjured arm, and looks out over the stands.
You can't help but jump out your seat, cheering yourself hoarse as you voice your praise and feel relief wash over your body like a tsunami. The noise around you is monumental, drumming in your ears like a jackhammer.
"Look at that!" Bagman yells. "Will you look at that! Our youngest champion is the quickest to get his egg! Well, this is going to shorten the odds on Mr Potter!"
The dragon keepers rush forward to subdue the Horntail and you hurry out of your seat, practically sprinting to the entrance of the enclosure. Minerva is hot on your heels and Moody and Hagrid have already beaten you, waiting with wide smiles for Harry to land.
"That was excellent, Potter!" Minerva cries as the boy hops off his broomstick. She points a shaky hand to his shoulder. "You'll need to see Madam Pomfrey before the judges give out your score...Over there, she's had to mop up Diggory already..."
"Harry, you were brilliant!" You exclaim excitedly, eagerly pulling him in for a hug and beaming at him. Normally, you'd worry about other students thinking you have a favourite — which you do, of course you do — but today you couldn't care less, you're so overwhelmed with relief and swelling with pride for your godson. "Absolutely brilliant, Harry! Just — fantastic, honestly, I can't believe it, I was so worried — I'm so proud — "
"Thanks," Harry says, unable to keep the large smile on his face down, his face red.
"Yeh' did it, Harry!" says Hagrid hoarsely. "Yeh did it! An' agains' the Horntail an' all, an' yeh know Charlie said that was the wors' — "
"Thanks, Hagrid," Harry says loudly, so that Hagrid doesn't blather on about how he had shown Harry the dragons beforehand. You give a light chuckle.
Even Moody looks very pleased, the slightest of smiles tugging at his cracked lips. "Nice and easy does the trick, Potter."
"Right then, Potter, the first aid tent, please..." Minerva says, gesturing to the tent with her hand.
He leaves, giving you all a grin before heading into the tent and you just smile proudly after him, rolling on the balls of your feet.
"Oh, he was just excellent, wasn't he?" Minerva says to you, smiling. "The best out of the all the champions, by far!"
You nod enthusiastically. "Easily! Oh, Merlin, I am just so glad he came out alright, I thought I was going to chew my own hand off with worry..."
"He was migh'y," Hagrid says loudly, a sob racking his body as he reaches into his pocket to pull out a large handkerchief, bigger than your face, and blows into it. "Jus' migh'y."
"Oh, Hagrid," you say softly, reaching up to place a comforting hand on his back, smiling sympathetically.
Across the enclosure, the five judges are sitting at the end in raised seats draped in gold. The first judge, Madame Maxime, raises her wand in the air and what looks like a long silver ribbon shoots out of the end of it — forming the shape of a large figure eight.
"Not bad," you remark, clapping along with the crowd. "Must've been the injury that lost him marks..."
Crouch comes next, shooting a number nine into the air.
"Excellent!" Minerva exclaims.
Next, Dumbledore puts up a nine and the crowd yells louder than ever.
Ludo Bagman — ten.
You turn to Minerva in disbelief, matching looks of shock with each other before you eagerly applaud.
Now, Karkaroff raises his wand. He pauses for a moment, and then a number shoots out of his wand — four.
"What?" You yell indignantly, blinking several times to make sure your eyes aren't tricking you. "A four?"
"How shameful, he gave his own student a ten!" Minerva remarks angrily.
Several members of the crowd seem to agree with you, bellowing angrily and booing at Karkaroff's biased marking.
Suddenly, Sirius' words ring in your head.
He's a Death Eater.
You feel your spine chill as you look across the enclosure at Karkaroff's steely expression, steadfast in his decision to reward Harry four marks.
Scumbag.
✧*。✧*。
"A toast!" Dumbledore announces, raising his glass. "To the completion of the first task of the Triwizard Tournament!"
You grin, raising your glass in tandem. "Cheers!" You clink it against Minerva's, then with Professor Sprout's on your other side.
All the staff have gathered in that small room right of the Great Hall for a little staff-only party, the fire blazing in its place and radiating a pleasant warmth around the room. The house elves have prepared a small spread of finger foods for the lot of you — and you've gone straight for the cupcakes, decorated humorously with little edible dragons. They're delicious — you make a mental note to voice your thanks to Bitsy the next time you see her.
Despite the happiness that's settled in you since Harry's successful task, when your eyes land on Karkaroff, sitting on the opposite side of the room to you, talking with Snape, unease gnaws at your gut.
You're sitting in a room with a Death Eater.
You've been in this situation countless times, of course, back when you were an Auror. But then, you knew what was going on. You knew what you were in for. Here, you don't. At parent-teacher meetings, you don't doubt you've been in the company of some Death Eaters, or former Death Eaters, rather. Some of your Slytherins' parents certainly seem to have a fondness for opaque, long-sleeved shirts...
You can't help but remember that night at the Quidditch World Cup, and your brain starts to picture one of those cruel Death Eaters pulling off his mask and revealing Karkaroff's sharp face.
You grip your champagne glass tightly, downing the contents and taking a deep breath. You should go mingle, the time for investigating Karkaroff can come tomorrow.
It's this little staff party that you finally get acquainted with Madame Maxime properly, trying your hand at your conversational-level French. She seems very impressed at this, delighted that you know at least a little bit of her own language — she says something about the 'arrogance of native English speakers', which you don't disagree with.
"Oh, and look at this pretty diamond on your finger!" Madame Maxime exclaims suddenly, catching sight of your engagement ring, sitting pretty above your wedding band on your left ring finger. She takes your hand in her much larger one so she can inspect it closer. "You are married?"
You look at the sparkling ring, glinting in the candlelight, smiling softly. "Yes, I am."
"How sweet," she remarks, dropping your hand gently. "I was married once."
You raise your eyebrows imploringly and she leans closer, waving her large hand theatrically as she says, "But he was a bastard."
She laughs fiendishly, and you just sort of watch, unsure whether you should laugh or not.
"You can laugh!" she assures when she sees your unsure expression. "Good riddance, is what I say. He thought he could keep the company of some girl while I was at working at Beauxbatons — so I said to him, 'fuck you and the whore you rode in on!'"
You nearly choke on your champagne, shocked at what you've heard come out of Madame Maxime's mouth. She grins proudly, showing rows of pearly white teeth. She seems to be finding your shock very amusing as she laughs again.
"His loss," you tell her, chuckling.
"Absolument." She shrugs nonchalantly, as though it was nothing to her but a stone in the bottom of her shoe. "Et toi? Where is your husband?"
You don't answer her for a moment, sucking on your teeth. "Well, I don't know, actually."
"How do you not know?"
"Oh, because he's just escaped from prison," you answer simply. You don't know what makes you tell her that. It would have been so easy to lie, but you don't. Perhaps it's the two too many glasses of champagne you've had, or perhaps it's the way Madame Maxime doesn't seem to care about anything, really, other than Fleur Delacour and the tournament.
Her mouth drops for a second, before she laughs. "Ah, well, c'est la vie. Marriage is never easy."
You chuckle softly, shaking your head. It feels weirdly relieving to you that she couldn't care less about your personal life. You find a new respect for the woman in front of you. "Certainly not."

Until the mirror breaks. [Part 1]
[Part 2], [Part 3], [Part 4]
Tags: gn!youngest Itoshi!reader, angsty, overprotective!Rin, Rin is slightly possessive
Sypnosis: Sae and Rin have another sibling who was born shortly before Sae left to go to Spain. Now, a few years later, Sae is visiting home. Before he left, there was no time to bond with his youngest sibling. And by now, Rin has gotten obsessed with the thought of the little one being the next prodigy, causing conflict between the brothers.
Requests open! Itoshi sibling masterlist - current writing event
Sae doesn't dislike you. But he doesn't like you, either. He simply doesn't care about you.
Because he left so shortly after you were born, Sae never got the chance to bond with you. The occasional photos your parents would send didn't do much to him either.
He knows he's your big brother, but he doesn't feel like it.
But you don't know about Sae's opinion of you. You actually feel quite the opposite about him. When your parents announced Sae would visit soon, you got really excited. And so did Rin. Although Rin's opinion quickly changed after talking to Sae for the first time after his arrival.
But now, your parents instructed Sae to spend some time with you. They really want you and your oldest brother to properly bond now.
But Sae just feels cold about it. In no way is he excited or happy about it. He doesn't even know what to do with you, the only thing that jumps into his mind is to play soccer in the backyard. And because that's better than doing nothing, it's what he chooses to do with you.
But he didn't expect it to be so frustrating. Who could have guessed a young child doesn't like sticking to rules and runs around wildly instead?
"How does Rin have the patience for this?" Sae said to himself. He's irritated, kicking the ball around carelessly to get rid of some of the frustration that built up inside of him.
This would have been no problem if you weren't running around so energetically. Before Sae realized he shouldn't have kicked the ball in that direction, it hit you right in the face. The shock and pain make tears stream out of your face immediately.
Sae doesn't know how to react at all. He knows comforting you is the next right move to do, but how is he supposed to do that when he has no knowledge about little children?
"Are you okay?" He asks, but feels a little dumb for asking a question that has an answer so obvious, so only a few seconds later he adds: "I didn't mean to hit you, sorry."
You look up towards him, still crying. The tears on your face cause a bit of guilt in Sae.
Your big brother kneels down in front of you and wipes a tear away with his sleeve. "Let's take you inside." He announces before gently picking you up.
Sure, Sae didn't really care about you. But he's certainly not heartless towards you. He doesn't like being the cause of your pain and tears, but he has no idea how to make you feel better, either. His only idea is to bring you to Rin.
Sae knows how close you and Rin are. The amount of photos of the two of you Sae has been sent by your parents told enough about that.
"Rin?" Sae asked after knocking at the door to the other brother's room. He still held you in his arms.
"What?" Rin's tone sounds annoyed. "What do you wa-" He opens the door and is shocked to see you crying. He immediately takes you out of Sae's arms to hold you close to himself. "What happened?" There is a mix of annoyance towards Sae and worry about you in Rin's voice.
"I accidentally hit them with a ball." Sae responds.
The cold tone of Sae's voice makes Rin angry. How could he be so emotionless after hurting you? How could he be so cold after making you cry?
Rin only looked back at Sae with anger in his eyes. First, he gave up on their dream, and now he hurt you. Rin starts hating the fact that Sae is visiting home for a bit.
"I hope they're not scared of playing soccer because of you now." Rin hisses at Sae.
"You're overexaggerating." Sae responds, sounding as cold as before
"I'm not overexaggerating. I'm worried. I-" Rin doesn't get to finish his sentence, Sae is interrupting him without a care.
"No, you are overexaggerating. A hit in the face won't make them scared."
Rin takes a deep breath before responding once more. "I am reasonably worried."
Sae really doesn't feel like continuing this conversation, so he simply answers a dry "Alright." before heading off to his own room.
Rin looks down at you, running his hand through your hair. "Does it still hurt?" He asks in a voice much softer than the way he spoke to Sae only a few moments ago. Before you respond, Rin spots some dirt on your face and hands, so he takes you to the bathroom and sits you down next to the sink. "Let's get you cleaned up." He forces a soft smile on his lips.
Rin really does not feel like smiling right now. His head is full of angry thoughts about Sae, but he doesn't want to show this anger to you. He knows you need to be comforted right now.
As Rin cleans your face with a wet towel, he tries to comfort you with words. While a part of his words really is comforting, the other part is Rin letting out his frustration about Sae by repeating over and over how much of a bad big brother Sae is for hurting you.
"Sae's just a big meanie, isn't he?" Rin removes the last bit of dirt in your face. "Don't worry, I won't let him hurt you again." Rin's smile has turned into a genuine, comforting one by now. "Let's beat him in soccer one day, okay?"
Rin knows Sae's room is next to the bathroom. The entire time, he's well aware of the fact that your oldest brother can hear him. The choice to leave the bathroom door wide open was actually a conscious choice by Rin, he wanted Sae to hear him. He wanted to provoke Sae.
And that's exactly what happened. Clearly having enough of Rin talking so badly about him to you, Sae leaves his room and stands in the doorframe. "Why are you even saying these kinds of things about me? I didn't even hurt them on purpose." Sae's tone is still cold, but there's a hint of anger in it now. "How am I supposed to bond with (Y/N) how mom and dad want me to, if you tell her I'm a mean, bad brother? And besides, what's up with the talk about beating me?"
Rin doesn't even look at Sae as he answers. "Well, you see, (Y/N) is the next prodigy, I just know it." Rin gently ruffles your hair before he turns his head around to face Sae. "And we're going to beat you."
"Prodigy?" Sae can't help but laugh at that. "How would you even know? They can't even play soccer properly. If they could, the accident earlier wouldn't have happened."
"(Y/N) is great at soccer." Rin's tone turns deffensive. "And I'm making sure to turn help them to get the most out of their potential."
"It's not right to push your dream onto them."
"I'm not doing that? (Y/N) wants to be great at soccer. Right?" Rin changes the direction of his gaze to look back at you. You're a bit confused and overwhelmed with the current situation, but if there's something you know, then it's how you want to be at your big brother's side in everything.
After you nod, Rin looks back at Sae. "You see?" Rin didn't wait for Sae to answer, he just continued speaking. "At least (Y/N) won't leave behind our dream like you did."
"You can count their age on one hand. They have no idea what any of this is about. You're being selfish."
Sae's response angers Rin so much more. Maybe because he knows what Sae says is right, or maybe because he hates the thought of you leaving his dream as well. Or maybe it's both.
Rin opens his mouth to continue the argument, but before a word leaves his mouth, Sae leaves without a word. Rin is about to follow him but decides not to. Instead, he gently picks you up and returns to his room, where he sits down on his bed with you on his lap.
Sae's words keep running through Rin's head, but he simply pushes these thoughts away. He returns his focus to comforting you.
This entire situation confuses you so much. You barely understand what just happened.
What's going on between your brothers?
Is Sae not a big brother to love?

Part 18 of the Intridimensional Au!
TW FOR BLOOD!
First /// Previous /// Next
__________________________________________
Fiddleford watched as the portal closed in front of him, and could swear he felt his heart stop.
“So nice of you to visit, Fordsy! Although, I would have preferred if you had actually followed my directions and opened the portal for me.” Bill said from somewhere behind him. “At least you kept it up and running. It'll be easy to find another pawn to open it for me now that it's complete!”
Fiddleford looked back towards the voice and instantly regretted it. There, sitting on a floating throne in the middle of what looked like some sort of asteroid field, was the one-eyed triangle being from the tapestries hanging around Ford's study.
“A pawn… Bill- I thought-” Ford started to say, but was cut off by Bill's laughter.
“Don't get me wrong, Fordsy, I do like you much more than the other human pawns I've used over the centuries! Although, I am upset that you didn't listen to me when I told you to keep Lesser Twin away from the portal! We could have ruled the galaxy together, Fordsy!” Bill said, his eye narrowed in anger, but his voice cheerful as ever.
“I- I didn't want that, Bill. I just wanted to further my research!” Ford said, hurt and fear evident in the shakiness of his voice. “I never wanted to hurt anyone!”
“HAH! Keep lying to yourself, Ford! I've been in your brain! I know what you want!” Bill responded, seeming genuinely delighted.
“Inside your brain?!” Fiddleford said, then clamped his hands over his mouth as Bill turned to him.
“Example A!” Bill said, his arm elongating to reach Fiddleford without ever leaving his throne. “Fiddlesticks here!” He said, dangling Fiddleford by his arm like a ragdoll. “You’re always thinking about how much you care about him, but you didn't even flinch when he told you he replaced part of his arm with a machine after he broke it on an adventure with you!”
“He did what?!” Stan said, finally speaking up. “Ford, what the fuck?!”
“I- that- that wasn't up to me! I was just interested in the mechanics! Of course I cared about him being hurt!” Ford said, looking frantically between Bill, Fiddleford, and Stan.
“Right, hah! You don't have to lie to me, Sixer. You and I are the same- we care about what people can do for us, not what we can do for them! Isn't that why you left him after college and waited until you needed him again to call?!”
“NO! No! I was just distracted with my research!” Ford yelled.
“I always thought he was pointless, anyway!” Bill said, holding Fiddleford up in front of his eye. “You definitely don't need him now! But don't worry, I can get rid of him for us!” Bill said, then squeezed his fingers together, crushing Fiddleford's arm.
Fiddleford screamed as he heard metal crunch and bones crack.
“FIDDLEFORD!” Stan and Ford both screamed behind him, but he could barely hear them over the blood rushing in his ears. He watched as his lab coat turned red with blood and his vision blurred at the edges.
“Whoops! Broke your toy!” Bill laughed, carelessly tossing Fiddleford towards the twins. “That's what happens wheN YOU BREAK MINE!” He said, his voice distorting and growing louder as he spoke.
Fiddleford crashed into Ford, sending them both flying a hundred yards from where Stan was floating.
“NOW I GET TO BREAK THIS ONE, TOO!” Bill screamed, as he turned from yellow to red and tripled in size.
He reached a hand towards Stan, but Stan just barely dodged him.
“DON'T YOU TOY WITH ME, LESSER TWIN!” Bill yelled. “SIXER SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOU IN THE WOMB!”
Fiddleford and Ford watched in horror as Bill caught Stan by his good leg, holding him up in front of his eye like a fish dangling on a line.
“Fuck you, you geometric asshole!” Stan yelled, then grabbed his knife from his peg leg and jammed it as hard as he could into Bill's eye.
“Not the eye!” Bill screamed, letting go of Stan as he covered his face with his hands.
Stan used the distraction to get away, kicking off a piece of asteroid and making it, unharmed, to Ford and Fiddleford's side.
“Stan- I- I didn't know-” Ford stuttered, his arms wrapped around an unconscious and bloody Fiddleford.
“Not now, Sixer, we have to get out of here!” Stan said, glancing back at Bill.
Ford nodded and looked around. “The larger asteroids. We can hide in there for now.”
“Good plan, but let me carry Fidds.” Stan replied, holding out his arms.
Ford nodded again and passed Fiddleford over to Stan. “Now let's get out of here.”
They took off, jumping off of smaller rocks to make it to the main field in the distance.
“Here!” Ford whisper-shouted when he spotted a cave within one of the asteroids.
Stan followed after him and breathed a sigh of relief as he set foot on the solid ground. Ford glanced around as Stan carefully set Fiddleford down.
“This looks like it goes pretty deep, but we should be fine here for a bit.” Ford said, kneeling down next to Stan to get a better look at Fiddleford.
Stan nodded as he took out his knife and started to cut the sleeve of Fiddleford's shirt. He grimaced at the mass of gore that used to be Fiddleford's arm.
“There is not much left to work with, and I'm sure he'll wake up soon. We might have to…” Stan couldn't bring himself to finish the sentence.
“Amputate.” Ford finished for him.
Stan nodded.
“I'll do it. This is my fault, afterall. He may never forgive me, but at least I can help here.” Ford said quietly, taking the knife from Stan.
“You got conned, Ford. He'll forgive you.” Stan replied quietly.
Ford smiled weakly at Stan, turned to Fiddleford, and held up the knife.
“Woah there, stranger!” Someone said from further in the cave.
They both jumped and looked into the darkness as a hooded figure emerged.
“Don't worry, I am a refugee, too, but I have a better tool for that.” The figure said.
“A refugee?” Ford asked.
“In the Nightmare Realm. You're from another dimension, yes? We have been hiding from the Euclidean, too.” They said.
“Euc-a-what-now?” Stan asked.
“Bill. The Euclidean. We could hear him speak to you, and we can help. We should help your friend there, first, though.” They explained.
Stan and Ford glanced at each other then back at the hooded figure, and nodded.
The figure approached and pulled a knife from under their cloak. They knelt down on the other side of Fiddleford and hit a button on the knife that made it hum and glow a bright purple.
“It's a plasma knife.” The figure said. “It will cut and cauterize at the same time, but hold them down- I wouldn't want them to move and cut more than necessary.”
Stan and Ford nodded and held Fiddleford down.
“I'm sorry, Fidds.” Ford mumbled as the figure lowered the knife.
“On three.” they said. “One, two, three.”
The knife hissed and burned as it cut clean through flesh and bone. Fiddleford's eyes shot open and he screamed, looking up at Ford as he tried to pull away from the pain.
“I'm so sorry, Fiddleford.” Ford said again, tears streaming down his face as he let up on his grip so Fiddleford could move.
“It's done.” The figure said.
Fiddleford looked over at the figure and screamed again, shooting up and backing away until his back was flush against Ford’s chest.
“It's okay, Fidds. They were helping us.” Ford said, wrapping his arms around Fiddleford to try and calm him down.
Ford felt Fiddleford relax at his touch, but it only lasted a second before he realized his arm was missing.
“What in the fiddle-hoppin’ heck did y'all do?!” He screeched.
“Fidds, we had no choice- Bill crushed your arm.” Stan said.
“He-” Fiddleford said, then his breath hitched, and didn't stop. He started to hyperventilate and Ford held him tighter.
“I'm so sorry, Fidds. I'll fix this.” he mumbled into Fiddleford's hair. “I'll stop him, and I'll fix this. I- I- I'll kill Bill. He won't win.”
“We'll kill him.” Stan said, placing a hand on Fiddleford's leg.
Fiddleford’s breathing started to slow as he dug his fingers into the arm Ford had around him.
“I'm going to need an arm.” he said quietly between breaths.
“We can help.” The cloaked figure said. “Come. We can give you what you need to start your journey.”

This is not written well. Ignore that.
Might do more badly drawn comics from here on out since it's less serious plot, but there will definitely still be more written chapters.
I start my new job in like... 10 minutes... so expect less frequent updates. But there will be updates!
Also I know Fiddleford got over that panic attack hella fast... but he gets a bit more ooc from here on out because he realizes the only way to save the dimension his son still resides in is to fight back, and he knows he can help.
Anyways. Enjoy, I guess!

Hii! This is my first time requesting something, and I’m so sorry if I break the rules :(
Buut.. I wanted to request a genshin fic! I’m not sure if you’ve already done this, but this is the scenario:
Charater is Wriothesley. In his story quest, there was a female guard that told him, ‘And please, take care of yourself your Grace”. I was imagining a fic with w reader (who is also the traveller) who gets kind of jealous when that happens. She shoots the guard a glare secretly and is all pouty and stubborn with Wriotheley after they caught Doughier. So, basically it’s all fluff! Wriothesley teasing/comforting her!
Thank you for your time! <3
no worries!! this doesnt break any rules - and if you wanna know if ive ever done something or not feel free to check my masterlists!!
Wriothesley could feel your gaze on him as soon as the guard wished him well. He didn't think that it was anything odd - that was just the nice thing to do when he leaves the fortress but he also thinks it's kind of cute how you're very clearly jealous. He doesn't say anything about it right away, continuing your day as normal.
You continue to pout at him, arms crossed and attempting to give him the silent treatment. It's hard because he doesn't take the bait, simply just moving on if you don't respond to his statements. You aren't going to be able to wait this one out with him which only serves to make you even poutier.
He lets you have your fun until you two finally return home for the evening. That's when he pulls you into his chest, peppering your neck in soft little kisses as he asked if you were really jealous all day just because of what that guard said. You're forced to fully admit it to him, still pouting as you try not to talk to him at length because you're feeling slightly petty. He knows it's all in good fun, tickling at your sides and telling you that you're adorable like that but there's no reason for you to think such things.
He comforts you, laughing a bit at how obvious you are as he reminds you how his heart is only yours. He doesn't see anybody but you, and he'll spend the rest of his life reminding you of that.

I understand why people might be upset about Luffy and Usopp's fight at Water 7. Luffy just casually goes oh yeah the Merry is fucked, but don't worry, the money you got your ass beat for wasn't too important, we can still buy a new ship with what's left :). And that's pretty fucked up.
But part of the arc is about Luffy fucking up as a captain.
He knows Usopp responds to other people by trying to match their energy, or by acting as the tsukkomi. And this isn't a tsukkomi moment, so he tries to make Usopp take the news better by acting happy and carefree. This is, for obvious reasons, a catastrophically bad approach. And Luffy only backpedals into showing that he's hurt too once he's already put himself in conflict with Usopp, so that hurt and anger is directed at him. And then Luffy fails as a captain once again by letting his emotions rule him.
Usopp has every reason and right to be pissed at Luffy's handling of the situation, even if he admits later that he already knew the Going Merry was done for, and he was desperately hiding the truth from himself.
Luffy knows it too, but he dug himself deep enough with his first fuck up that if he fucks up again the crew will fracture. And unfortunately, there's truth to the idea that the Strawhats need to be able to follow Luffy unconditionally. If he yields any ground whatsoever the Strawhats will lose faith in his ability to tackle every obstacle without hesitating or flinching, and that will break them. So he makes his first hard decision as captain and breaks Usopp's heart instead.
There was a lesson Usopp needed, but if Luffy had been a better captain in the first place, if he hadn't been 17 and new to command, if he had just somehow known exactly what to say, the lesson might've been kinder. Usopp needed to understand that he has no place trying to claim command of the Strawhats, that in crew matters Luffy's the one who makes the final decision... but the lesson should've been kinder.
But they're 17 and hurt and imperfect and so they hurt each other, and themselves.

Pretty Young Thing
One-shot
Pairing: Obi-Wan/FemReader
Warnings/Tags: Explicit content. Just filth. PWP. Listen, I just wanted to give this man a break. He deserves gratuitous sex and alcohol.
"No names."
It was the singular rule he had, in all the years you'd known him.
Was 'known' the right word? Did you consider yourself an acquaintance if you know exactly how slow he likes to fuck, but you don't ask him where his newest scar came from, and he doesn't ask you why you've moved apartments?
☆☆☆
Sometimes he had you repeat it back to him when you first started meeting; a sort of reassurance for him that nothing could follow him back to his life - back to reality. You would whisper it to him without hesitation.
"No names," he would remind you breathlessly while shedding his clothing, one hand remaining on your skin, his mouth inches from your ear.
"Don't worry," you would assure him.
He'd rake his fingers over your shoulders, pulling you closer and pressing his mouth urgently against yours. "Say it- say it back."
You would grin, always uncertain if he was asking to make sure you understood, or just working himself up more. He liked to hear the words, and you always knew by the way his body responded when you said them.
"No names."
Tonight, the words ring in your head as you lean against the bar, replaying the images of past nights in the back of your mind, waiting. You were always waiting on him.
That afternoon you'd heard he was back on Coruscant, and your last meeting of the day couldn't end soon enough. You both knew the time and place. If he was on the planet, you never missed the spot. Some nights he left you waiting until the bar closed, never making an appearance. But you knew if he could come, he would. And he was always worth the wait.
"Can I buy you a drink?"
You're surrounded by pulsing bodies and throbbing music which makes it nearly impossible to hear one individual over all the noise. But that voice will always get your attention.
He leans in closer as you tilt your gaze in his direction. "Or were you waiting for someone?"
You smile. "I was, but he's disappointed me before. I was just about to leave."
His eyebrows raise. "Anyone who would disappoint you must be very foolish." He pauses. "Or exceedingly disappointed, himself. The only thing that could be more important than a night with you would be the fate of the galaxy."
He adds another pause while your mouth twists in feigned displeasure. "...one would imagine."
His mouth slides into a grin, and you can't help but return it, the way his eyes sparkle when they meet yours. He pulls his attention away to signal the bartender, and when you take your drink and leave, he follows you to a dark corner. You turn to face him when you reach the wall, away from prying eyes.
You take a sip, while he downs half of his drink in a single, greedy swallow. He places the glass on a nearby table and stands next to you, first curling one arm around your back, slowly, then following it with the rest of his body to move behind you. He rests the back of a finger against your shoulder and smooths it down your bare arm as you continue to sip.
A shiver runs through you at his touch, and you keep staring forward. "Your hair is so long, now."
You feel him smile against your cheek when he presses himself closer to you. "Haven't had much time for a cut, I'm afraid."
"I like it," you tell him. "Makes you look younger."
He laughs, and you love the way it feels, the vibrations leaving his chest and sinking into your back. "I suppose I need all the help I can get."
A new song begins, changing the atmosphere from loud and fast-paced to a darker mood, more intense. His body starts to move against yours, rolling from his shoulders down to his waist. You lean into him, eyes closing when he lets his head come down to your shoulder and his beard tickles your neck. His rich, clean scent saturates your brain with thoughts only of him, and how much you've missed the feel of him against you.
You both get lost in the music for a long time, enjoying the escape of dancing without thinking. His arms surround you, and you turn to look at his face. The sickly lights of the scummy bar reflect over his features and he's positively radiant, as usual. You lean in for a kiss. His mouth welcomes you as it always does, perfect and soft, the taste of him as sweet as ever, even through the notes of liquor on his breath.
He returns your kiss with a languid swipe of his tongue, only breaking hesitantly away after a long moment to check your surroundings. You know he's looking to see if anyone is staring, but you take the opportunity to flag down someone walking past, carrying a tray of drinks. You exchange a few credits and press the shot into his hand.
"You need to loosen up."
He gives you another grin, his teeth glinting in the dim light as he throws back the shot. He doesn't react, doesn't squint, doesn't pause. It might well have been water, the way he instantly goes back to kissing you.
When his lips meet yours, everything else becomes a blur - the bar, the street outside, the back of the cab, your apartment. Details. Unimportant when he's tugging on your bottom lip, swiping his tongue over yours, parting your mouths to softly brush his thumb over your jaw. Only a brief moment seems to pass, and all at once you're keying in the code to the front door of your apartment.
You tumble through the door, kicking it closed behind you, and he's already pulling off his clothes. He drops his grey cloak at the door, stepping over it to push you toward the seating area of your living room. His hands fall to the waist of his pants, carelessly tugging at the hem of his shapeless blue shirt, pulling it over his head before you can even ask. His mouth is back at your neck as soon as he's free, his bare shoulders crowding you, pressing you down into the couch.
Your arms slide down his back and you suppress a whine at the way his fingers impatiently unfasten the front of your shirt. As soon as you feel his bare skin on yours, your hand plummets downward desperately. His hands have finished their work, pulling the front of your shirt open just as you make contact. He stops, back hunched, and drops his head forward. The way his locks of hair fall forward over his face is immaculate, and you take your time, just soaking in the sight of him.
His eyes are closed, brows furrowed. The shadows of his eyelashes darken his face. You brush your hand over the length of him through his pants. His mouth falls open.
"Touch me," he whispers, leaning in to close his mouth over yours. "Touch me."
You pull your palm over the front of his pants, enjoying the shape of him, then dip your fingers below his waistband and start to stroke him, finally making contact with the warmth of his skin. You revel in the way he instantly thrusts against your open hand. You've barely grazed him and he's already bucking earnestly for more.
"I'm going to put on some music," you murmur into his ear, leaning upward and taking your hand out of the front of his clothes.
"Ngh?" he makes a desperate noise at the loss of contact and you smile at the way his gorgeous blue eyes gloss over with confusion, following your movements as you reach for a remote on the table nearby. You know he tends to lose himself even more when you play music for him.
It reminds you of the first time you did this. Years ago, when he was a fresh knight, barely more than a padawan, and you were just a senator's intern, newly arrived on the planet. He'd been so shy, so unsure of himself. So unsure of what he wanted. You'd chatted all night, and when you'd mentioned your love for music he'd invited you to listen to him play the quetarra back in his quarters. Of course he'd said he wasn't any good, only an amateur, but he'd played beautifully. Since that night you'd met at every opportunity throughout the changing of your respective careers. And never once had he asked your name. He insisted it kept him from forming an attachment, and you were only so happy to oblige, so long as he kept coming back.
The music is playing now, filling the apartment with quiet pulses of bass. No sooner have you put down the remote than he's sliding his leg between your knees, spreading them on the couch, and kissing your neck. His hand deftly unfastens the clasp of your belt and moves it to the side, slipping beneath the waist of your pants. He lets out a soft breath when his fingers drop easily between your legs. You're almost embarrassed at the way his hand is slicked with you, but he makes a quiet "Oh..." sound against your neck and it's instantly clear how much it turns him on.
He pulls back to look down at you, locking his eyes onto yours as he pushes two fingers inside you, the corners of his eyes crinkling when he grins wickedly at your response. You gasp, gripping the side of his forearm, muscles there tight as he starts to work his fingers inside you, brushing up against the perfect spot he knows will melt you into a whimpering mess.
It doesn't take long before you're biting back pitiful noises, writhing against him as he pulls your sanity apart. You're not above begging when it comes to him, and he knows it. He's waiting for it.
"Please..."
He cups your jaw in his hand and kisses you deeply, still pumping his fingers diligently, maddeningly.
"Anything. What is it?"
"Need you. Please. Please, fuck me."
All the lightness leaves his face at once. He's no longer in a playful mood when he tugs the front of your remaining clothes down, pressing one hand into the couch beside your head while the other wraps around his cock. His knees keep your legs spread, and in one fluid motion, he's inside you.
He doesn't even stop to let you process the sensation of him. He's inside you and his pace is immediate and perfect. Slow, steady, gorgeous. The only sound he makes when you're finally wrapped around him is a quiet panting, the usual rigid air about him being incrementally replaced with an animalistic state of zen.
You feel every inch of him, the way he gives it to you as if each movement is an artistic choice, building and building the warmth inside you until you're shamelessly moaning for more. You arch your back, giving him more room to fill you, and his pace finally stutters. You smirk at the way his eyes roll back.
"You feel incredible."
His hips start to snap, his rhythm faltering. "Don't... don't say things like that, or I won't... last..."
You can't help it. A groan escapes you at his admission and you buck your hips upward to meet him. "So good. So fucking... good."
"Stars," he gasps, mouth open and eyes squeezed shut. "Shit-"
He pauses, clenching his jaw as if concentrating deeply, holding back. Finally, he rasps, "Darling, come for me."
He slides a hand between your legs and gently works his thumb over you, bringing you screaming over the edge all at once, your hands flying up to grip his neck, desperately grasping to make sure he keeps pounding into you while you whimper out your bliss.
He keeps his rhythm steady, working out every last drop of your orgasm until you're spent and gasping for air, before he finally begins to lose his composure, raggedly grinding into you. He brings a hand behind your head, fingers tangling into your hair while he finishes, his cock sliding in and out of you as his cum spills out between your legs, coating the insides of your thighs in a sticky, beautiful mess.
He stays inside you like this for a long time, arms shaking, as you both catch your breath. His face is glowing when he looks down at you, catching your lips in a messy half-smiling kiss.
You let out a deep sigh, brushing your hands through his hair when he finally slides out of you and collapses beside you. You're going to lie like this for as long as you can. Breathless, thoughtless, nameless, and wrapped in the arms of Obi Wan fucking Kenobi, you're going to fall asleep.

And in your waking moments,
I will be there.
Incubus! IV x fem!Reader
Summary: Y/N has been one of the guitar techs, alongside one of the light engineers for Sleep token for quite a few years now. She'd consistently heard of various individuals' attraction to IV, but brushed it off as she ruled it as self-explanatory. He's a talented guitarist for one of the biggest bands on the planet. But there is a secret that lies beyond the surface. He's not exactly, well, human. So what other things is he hiding?
WARNINGS 18+ ONLY, MINORS DNI: LIKE SMUT. A LOT. until there isn't... BUT THERE WILL BE. SWEARING TOO. Accidental harm (by IV), him underestimating his strength. Also, other non-human vessels. IV goes from being an absolute bottom of a person to a top in no time.
REMEMBER!!! THESE FICS ARE ABOUT THE CHARACTER. NOT THE PERSON BEHIND THE MASK. PLEASE RESPECT THEIR PRIVACY.
also, photocreds to @/adamrosssi on instagram!
The sound of the band playing before Sleep Token was almost deafening, yet it brought no distractions to Y/N, who was restringing one of IV's Gretschs after the low E string snapped. It was a fairly unusual sight--the thickest string on a guitar, breaking. Of course it was more typical for the high E string to break, but the low one? It puzzled Y/N, but she merely glossed over it, in an attempt to finish restringing the guitar early.
As much as she wished to enjoy the wonderful energy of music festivals, the air wasn't exactly the most pleasing thing about it. The mixture of sweat and liquor seemed to always be the smell of impending doom.
"You alright?" III patted her on the shoulder.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." Y/N stood up to secure the guitar on the rack. "You ready to fuck shit up?"
"Oh don't you worry. I've got a lot of that planned."
III and Y/N shared a laugh as Vessel approached the two of them. Their giggles faded away, and Y/N put both of her arms to her sides, her legs pressed together. III raised a brow, before biting the inside of his mouth to stifle a laugh.
"Sir, reporting for duty!" Y/N's eyes went wide, as she looked at a moderately confused Vessel.
"Why, do you... Just, why?" Vessel smiled and shook his head before letting out a small laugh.
Y/N stopped tensing up, as she sighed and began to stand with her arms crossed now. While Vessel and III were carrying on their conversation of adding a surprise song to the setlist, she peaked behind them, to see IV speaking with one of the event organizers. One of the most important skills that Y/N acquired after spending time with the band was reading others emotions, without having to ever see one's face. The event organizer had her hand on her hip, leaning forward just a bit, while IV cocked his head to the side, responding with a slow nod.
Damn that woman thinks she has her fucking claws in IV right n- Y/N's thoughts were interrupted by IV, whose gaze darted over at her almost instantly. He squinted at her, his mask wrinkling up around the mouth.
"Who the fuck pissed him off?" II walked by, unpacking a couple drumsticks to use for the next show.
"Hm?" Vessel and III glanced at IV, who was slowly approaching them. "What, him?"
"You alright mate?" II took a step back, as IV remained silent.
"IV your maple-neck Gretsch it's..." Y/N started to say.
"Been restrung. I know, thank you." IV swallowed hard before picking it up from the rack, wrapping the strap around him.
"Mhm." Y/N nodded before walking over to the rack to make sure the back-up guitars were also in good condition.
IV grabbed her by the forearm. She could feel his nails graze her skin, but he didn't sink them in. His hold was somehow gentle, even though she could almost feel his anger and aggression simply by staring into his eyes.
"I don't like her. If that was what you were thinking." He whispers, and the other three members retreat slowly. IV looks down at where his hand was, realizing that his grip had become even more firm, his eyes widening and darting back to Y/N's. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was... I... I should go. Um, sorry, again. So sorry."
IV let go of Y/N, and shook his head as he fixed his hood to follow the rest of the band. He continously swore to himself. He couldn't simply brush off what he just did. Y/N glanced at the dots of black paint that had been left on her skin. She wasn't offended at all by what IV did. Disturbed? Maybe. The guys had their ups and downs. Their highs and lows. Y/N has bared witness to almost all of them. This, wasn't knew. IV wouldn't hurt her. For that matter, no member of the band would.
But what he said, still caught her off guard. He didn't like the event organizer? IV clearly looked furious when he turned to face Y/N, but she had really never seen him truly angry before. Frustrated with the small things like breaking the low E string of course, but with something like this? But again that added on to the long list of things that happened to be unusual in the past few days. First the seemingly unbreakable string on most guitars snaps, and then IV, snaps. But Y/N refused to judge. It came to mind that thee was a chance he was going through something in his life that must be difficult to deal with. Family problems or maybe some personal ones. It wasn't her place to judge and she was aware of it.
Y/N stepped down to the booth where all the lights were being managed. In assisting the other light engineer, she helped to make sure the right colored lights were associated with the right song. As the band started their set, she nodded, confirming that everything was going well on the electronics side. The lights blinked red and she looked up at IV who glanced at her for a split second. In her head, an image of his eyes transitioning from cerulean to crimson flashed almost immediately.
"Y/N, do you see something wrong with one of the lights?" The other engineer raised a brow, trying to catch a glimpse of what she was staring at.
"Uh, no. Just got a little bit of something on my mind, that's all." She mumbled, adjusting the light colors again for the next half of the song.
After sitting down for the rest of the set, with all of the pre-programmed lights working accordingly, Y/N felt a bit uneasy looking up at the stage. Every glance at IV made her feel, unusual. She couldn't explain what the feeling was, even to herself. Like her heart was racing but not out of fear, but rather, for something else. After 2 more songs, it felt as if her whole body was screaming at her to look at him again. And so she did, locking eyes with him once more.
"Hey, if you're not feeling alright, you can head back to the hotel." The other engineer smiled. "I'm pretty sure that no one would be upset with you getting some rest. Come on, you've been preparing for this festival for a while."
"But what if something goes wrong with the guitars. I need to... I need-"
"I think what you need, is a very long nap. I'll tell the guys. Don't worry!"
Y/N nodded, and went to go grab her backpack halfway through The Offering. Even as IV was jumping around on stage, he glanced at the light booth, where only one person was sitting. A quick look around to the left, and he saw Y/N packing her belongings.
He grew restless throughout the whole show. IV tried his best to enjoy everything, the energy of the crowd, the music, and the wonderful light show, and... He just couldn't. Growing tense near the last song, he pressed down on the fretboard of his Jackson guitar, and broke the lowest string. Again. Luckily, it was after the last note of the song had been played, and the 4 of them could finally leave the stage.
"What the hell did you do this time?" Vessel shook his head, adjusting his hood. "Dig your nails into her skin and expect her to want to stay? You're mad."
"I just-" IV started.
"Just what man?" III's laugh sounded like a cocktail of anger and disappointment. "Oh yeah, 'just because you think I like this girl that was flirting with me, I don't and hope you know that.' What the actual fuck was that? You better pray to Sleep you didn't scare her away forever. Fuck."
"Oh." Vessel lets out a small chuckle, staring at IV.
"Don't you read my thoughts. Not now." IV sets his guitar down in the rack, the lowest string slumping over the other slots in the rack.
"The problem is not that I can read your thoughts, rather, that I can't." Vessel's lips crooned, and the rest of them knew that he was squinting under his mask. "What blessing has Sleep given you that I cannot fathom?"
"I don't want to speak about it."
"Mate, you do realize we can help you, if you need it." II placed his hand on IV's shoulder.
"You need to learn when to shut your mouth." A low growl escaped IV's lips.
"You need to learn when to calm down!" III's eyes widened, raising his voice to gain the vessel's attention.
"You need to learn to keep your hands off of Y/N, you bastard." IV's eyes shifted from blue to crimson again, and III stifled a whimper in his throat.
"Oh my, Sleep." II took a couple steps away. "You're one of 'em? One of 'em servants of Sleep that uh... Needs to do... That thing... That process to stay alive? How long have you been this way?"
Although III, was still partially terrified, he let out a small giggle, followed by a few words that sounded like "he means sex, doesn't he." IV's eyes returned back to their original color, and he inhaled sharply in a brief attempt to calm himself, which inevitably failed.
"That makes you, quite... Um..." Vessel gulped, biting the inside of his lip. "Promiscuous, does it not?"
IV shook, his head, which earned him some odd looks from the rest of the band. It was true, he would indeed die, if he didn't, in his words, "participate in some ungodly practices" frequently. He hadn't the slightest idea how he was still alive, but he had ignored it for the most part. IV was still willing and able to go up on stage for rituals, so, he hadn't thought much of the idea.
"You're a fucking incubus and you're not having sex? How the hell are you alive? How are you not a whor-" III questioned him loudly, and II elbowed him in the ribs to get him to quiet down. "Jeez, fucking christ I get it."
"Dunno. Just, don't want to." IV shrugs, and the whole band goes quiet as one of the crew members passes by to help pack some of the gear up.
"I thought you were actually trying to flirt with that event organizer earlier?" Vessel raised a brow, crossing his arms.
"She was trying to flirt with me, and I wouldn't budge. Then I heard Y/N thinking that I liked the woman and I flipped. I don't know what happened, I just, couldn't take it anymore."
"So you know Y/N likes you? As in, has been fancying you for the past 4 years and hasn't said a thing?" III piped up again, knowing that IV's angry actions were practically unpredictable. "Speaking of Y/N, where is she?"
"I scared her away."
"Excuse me?" II furrowed his brows, setting his box of drumsticks down, hard. "You, what?"
"Either she knows that I'm not, human, or, she thinks she's insane." IV exhaled sharply, his head finding a small bit of peace in the palms of his hands. "Fuck me."
"She's probably at the hotel, you should talk to her." III replied, and IV sighed.
"So I can go off and scare her again? No thank you, I'm fine. And I'm quite sure she is without... Without me."
"Praise be to Sleep you are infatuated with this woman." Vessel shook his head. "For the love of all that is holy, if you do not speak to Y/N, I will do so for you."
"And what the fuck will you say, Vessel? 'Nice to see you again Y/N! Yeah, did you know, that IV likes you just as you like him, and oh yeah, he is a demon, whose existence relies off the fact that he has to FUCK SOMEONE! Oh yeah! See you later!' What the fuck is wrong with you? What the fuck is wrong with all of you?" IV stormed off, and the other three refused to follow him.
~~timey wimey skip~~
Y/N dropped her bag on the floor, and crawled into bed before grabbing one of the blankets she brought and tossed it over herself. She couldn't recall how fast it was before she fell asleep.
After blinking a few times, she sat up in bed, except the room... She wasn't in the hotel anymore. This was, home... This was her home. Her house. This was her bedroom. Y/N began to hyperventilate, and that feeling that something was caught in her chest earlier, returned. She looked around before a black-painted hand landed on her shoulder. In a frenzy, she pushed the person down against the bed, and it took a second to realize.
"IV? What are you, what are we... What the hell?" She let go of him, sliding back to the other side of the bed. "What are you doing here, what are we doing here? I'm at the hotel. How..."
"Please, I'm sorry. I'm making you like this. I don't want you to feel like this."
"Oh there's nothing wrong with me I'm fin-" Y/N was cut off by the tightening in her chest becoming worse by the second. "God, damn it!"
"How do I? I don't know how to..."
"What the hell are you doing, IV?" Y/N blinked a few times, squinting at him.
"I'm an incubus. I'm a fucking incubus and that's why you're in pain. This is a dream."
Y/N stared at him, the pain of confusion striking her harder than the actual physical pain she was dealing with. Every fibre of IV's being was screaming at him to hold her hand, to just do anything in his power to comfort her. She was in pain, and desperate for answers.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be so rude. I shouldn't have, I-"
"IV."
"Yes?"
"You, are a sex demon?"
"Yeah."
Silence.
"Is every member of Sleep Token, one or is it just you?"
"Just me, but every member of the band isn't human." Words kept leaping out of IV's mouth and he couldn't stop himself. "You aren't, scared of me? Y/N, I could hurt you, I could kill you."
"IV, I, know none of you are human." Y/N began to bite the tip of her tongue as the pain started to become a little worse. "Vessel reads minds; I'm not sure what II and III can do but, III invades my dreams to play video games with me sometimes."
"III is finding his way into your dreams?" IV's eyes shift colors again. "Fucker doesn't know when to stay away."
"Whoa, whoa, he's like a brother to you isn't he? Because I know he's like one to m-" Y/N was interuppted by IV tearing his mask off and pressing his lips against hers.
She pulled back, seeing his crimson eyes in their full glory, alongside how his back teeth were as sharp as his canines. Her eyes darted from one inhuman feature to another, which caused IV to panic. He turned to the mirror behind him to realize what he had revealed to her. He crawled backwards before he reached the foot of the bed.
"No, I shouldn't be doing this. Not to you."
"IV, I'm not scared of you!"
"You don't get it. This pain you feel, it's some sick way of getting to to sleep with me. Some fucking power I can't control. God, you may not even love me."
"Excuse me?"
"This attraction you feel to me is because some ability I harbor. You don't love me. You can't, it's not possible. I need to go."
"IV, wait."
Y/N pulled out a small necklace hidden behind her shirt, and revealed it to IV.
"Vessel gave me this the day I got the job. Said I would need it or you four would give me a headache." Y/N pressed her hand against IV's chest. "It's so none of your guys' weird mind controlling powers can get to me. IV, I fucking give a shit about you and there's nothing you can do to change that. The fangs, the eyes, the fact that you're a damn incubus. Nothing, will ever change that, you hear me?"
IV paused, and his lips crashed into Y/N's again. She wrapped his arms around him, pulling his hood down. After scooting into his lap, he pressed her against the bed. Her hands were entwined in his hair, as he dived in for another kiss, this one being more hungry than the last.
"Are you okay, with this, with, all of this?" IV whispered against her neck.
"Yeah, I'm just gonna add onto a few years of your life because of this right?"
IV snickered and pressed another kiss to her lips, entwined the fingers of one of his hands with hers. In another kiss, her tongue grazed one of his sharp molars, but the two ignored the coppery taste left behind.
He pulled his heavy jacket off before beginning to kiss and bite softly around Y/N's collarbone, mumbling praises after every single one, drawing a small moan from the bottom of her throat.
"I'm sorry." IV apologized again, and Y/N mumbled a "why" in response.
Her eyes shot open, realizing that she was still in the hotel room. It was almost pitch black, and a figure emerged from the darkness, crawling onto the bed next to her.
"We're finishing this outside of the dream." IV tossed his mask, jacket, and shirt onto the chair by the window before crawling above Y/N and resuming where he left off.
Y/N practically ripped off her shirt, as she placed her hand on his clothed member, earning a moan from him, which he attempted to stifle with another kiss.
"Oh no darling." IV smirked, hooking his fingers along the waistbands of her shorts and undergarments. "I think this part should just be, about you."
He dove in almost immediately, and she could feel her walls clench at the mere exposure of herself to him. IV licked slowly, up and down her slit, maintaining eye contact with Y/N the whole time.
"Oh my god IV..." She moaned, holding onto him by the locks of his hair.
He pressed 2 fingers against her slit, before rubbing small circles on it. IV leaned into another kiss, before his kisses started trailing down her chest. Almost instantly, he pressed 2 fingers inside of her.
"So wet for me huh?" IV chuckled, in an attempt to stifle a small moan from himself, as he felt his member grow harder against his pants. "Fucking beautiful."
"IV please just..."
"What do you want, darlin'?" His eyes were glowing red at this point, and for once, he didn't care for it.
"I want to-"
"What do you want?" He pulled both of his fingers out of her, placing them into his mouth, and closing his eyes before letting out a small groan. "Fuck, you taste delightful."
IV was in a rush to rid himself of his pants and his own undergarments, before pressing small kisses on Y/N's neck again. She could feel how soaked she was, how even the insides of her thighs were coated with her own juices. And this new sight, made her walls clench at nothing.
"Please IV. Just please..."
"You want me inside you, sweetheart? That what you want?" IV tapped his member against her slit a few times, a sadistic chuckle leaving his mouth as Y/N's desperate attempts to gain friction were fruitless. "I need to hear you say it."
"Fucking hell, IV, I need you to fuck me for God's sake!"
"Anything for you darling, anything for you." He aligned himself before pressing into her.
Y/N let out a loud gasp, as she underestimated how large his member actually was. Wrapping her arms around him, she clawed at his back, earning a small growl from him. His pace was slow and deadly. IV made sure that the two of them would savor every single moment of this event. While Y/N was reduced to a pool of moans, IV's occasional growl or low chuckle seemingly made her worse. It took only seconds before IV had kept hitting the right spot, over and over. He leaned in, sinking his teeth into her neck, as if she didn't have enough marks already. Y/N returned the favor, leaving small hickies up and down his neck, to which he responded by crashing his lips into hers while his cock was still buried deep inside of her.
"You gonna cum for me darling?"
Y/N could only moan in response, as she felt IV's warm breath on her neck again, the precursor to the feeling of sweet release that hit both of them simultaneously. IV landed on his back next to her, entwining his fingers with hers again.
"Was that, uhm, good?" IV turned his neck to face her.
"IV, that, was the best thing. Ever." Y/N let out a small laugh, proceeding to cuddle more into him. "I'm just a bit tired now, that's all. "
IV's fangs retracted and his eyes returned to their normal shade of blue.
"Still can't believe we went from terrified to talking to each other to..."
"You having sex with an incubus? Well, there's a first time for everything I guess."
"Do you still feel like you want to kill III?"
"No." IV mumbled, placing his head atop hers as there bodies pressed against each other's softly. "We belong to each other now, and I think we have enough marks to prove it. Now, darling, you can rest. Because in your waking moments, know that I will be there too."
"Good night IV." Y/N pressed her face against her chest. "I-I love you."
"I love you too, Y/N. I love you too." He smiled.

"I never do anything like this!" I'm nervous, excited energy rushing through my body, my fingers tingling and shaking slightly.
"Don't worry, sweetheart. We'll take good care of you."
I went out to the bar tonight, intending on having a quick drink at the end of a long work week. But instead I found myself the center of attention for not one but two incredibly hot men, Benny and Will, who happen to be brothers. And here I am, following them inside their shared home, giddy with the prospect of having these 2 touch me.
Will takes my coat and bag, hanging them on the coat rack by the door as Benny guides me to the living room, gesturing towards the couch for me to sit. I do, smoothing my dress down my thighs and he sits next to me, extending his arm behind me, settling it on the top of the couch. He cups my face with his other hand, his warmth burning my cheek as he turns me to face him, his bright blue eyes staring into me.
“Are you sure, sweetheart? Things can get a little rough. You can say no and there’s no hard feelings.”
“N-no, I’m sure. I just…I’ve never…” I gesture between the two of them. “...done this before?”
Benny smiles and it calms me. “Don’t worry about that. You just feel good. We can guide you.”
I nod, my nerves emboldening me as I kiss Benny. He responds immediately, the hand on my face sliding around the back of my head and holding me to him. His lips are soft and warm, inviting me to part mine and I do, moaning a little when he slides his tongue into my mouth. He kisses me for a few moments, my head feeling light when he slides his thumb under my chin and breaks the kiss, tipping my head back and gently sucking on my neck. I left out a gasp and his hand settles on my hip, gently sliding up to reach into my dress, grabbing my boob and squeezing a little, thumb brushing over my nipple. God does this feel good. So good, I nearly forget about Will, sitting somewhere behind me just watching.
I push him back slightly and straddle his hips, his concern vanishing from his face when I start to grind on him, fingers tangled in his hair as he buries his face in my chest, pulling down the top of my dress to suck a nipple in his mouth.
“Oh God that feels good,” I pant, rocking my hips a little faster.
“Arms up.”
I comply, my arms raising as he grips my dress, pulling it over my head and tossing it across the room. He quickly undoes my bra, tossing it in the same direction as my dress as I toss my panties somewhere in that same area. Benny’s eyes rake over me, drinking me in as I straddle his hips again, whimpering when his clothed erection rubs at me. I start to kiss Benny again when I feel a different set of hands on my hips, fingers digging into the skin to pull my hips up. I don’t stop kissing Benny until Will’s finger slides through me, groaning at how wet I am. He says nothing, swirling that same finger around my entrance and pushing it in.
“Fuck,” I whisper into Benny’s mouth as Will adds another finger, slowly fucking me with them. Will pulls his fingers from me and I whine, frustrated at the lack of contact. There’s some shuffling behind me, Benny shifting under me and then Will’s fingers grip my hips again, angling them a certain way. But before I can ask if he needs me to move, his tongue is there, licking at me like his life depends on it. I cry out, Benny’s hands finding my boobs and pinching my nipples as he watches my face, loving the way it changes expression when Will pushes his tongue inside of me for a moment. A particularly hard flick over my nipple pushes me over the edge, heat and pleasure rolling over me as I cum, Will moaning into my cunt, which makes my orgasm last longer.
“You taste amazing, darlin,” Will stands from behind me, wiping his mouth on his sleeve. I sit up, legs shaking slightly as I turn around to face him. “I wonder if you taste just as amazing.” I reach for his pants, undoing his button but he grips my chin and turns my head up to his. “Not yet, pretty girl. I'll watch you a bit first.”
Benny’s hands are on my hips, pulling me back on his lap, his hard dick pushing against the top of my ass, which is when I realize he had gotten undressed, clothes tossed somewhere in the room. And the fact that he’s long, or longer than I’ve ever had at least. He pulls my back against his chest, his hands hooking under my knees and spreading my legs wide. He shifts his hips, pushing himself through my wet folds and I whimper. He feels so fucking good like this. After a few moments of this, he sits me up, pushing himself slowly into me and I look down, watching him disappear inside of me.
“Fuck! You feel so..ugh!” Once he’s fully inside, he pulls my back down on his chest again, hoisting my legs up and wide, on full display for Will, who was seated in a chair across from us, stroking himself. Benny starts at a slower pace, gliding lazily against my g spot before he growls in my ear. “Hold your legs.” I do as he says, his fingers immediately moving between my legs, rubbing circles where I need him most, his other hand pinching a nipple as he quickens his pace, fucking me as fast and hard as he can from this angle, launching me over the edge, screaming his name as he continues to rail into me, chasing his own high. He cums, biting my shoulder as he fills me, still stroking me as my thighs twitch. We stay like that for a moment, heavy breathing, sweat sticking to our skin as Benny nibbles on my earlobe, his dick twitching slightly inside of me.
Will crosses the room and extends a hand to me, helping me up when I accept it, Benny grunting when he slides from me. What do I do now? Surely I have to clean up or something? But Will gives me no time to think about that as he bends me over the side of the chair he was sitting on, his pants hitting the floor as he brings a hand down to smack on my ass, watching it jiggle as I cry, a smile at the corner of my lips. I didn’t know I liked that but I also have no time to linger on it as Will thrusts into me fairly rough, fingers digging into my hips, pulling me back on him. My hands scramble for purchase as I cry his name, Will setting a rough pace as he winds his fingers into my hair, gripping it tight and holding me down. Damn he fucks so good, my toes slipping slightly on the floor from the height difference.
“Yeah you like that? You good little slut? Lettin’ me fuck you like this?” Will’s voice is strained, like he’s trying to last. His hand reaches around between my legs, gently rubbing me in stark contrast to the way he’s fucking me and I come without warning, crying his name into the chair as I squeeze him, my fingers digging into the fabric as Will snaps his hips impossibly harder, finally coming himself as he grunts into me, leaking down my legs. He pulls himself from me with a hiss, helping me up and turning me to look at him, all trace of the moment on pause.
“Are you ok, darlin’? I know I can be rough and I know you didn’t use the safe word-”
I have no words. Instead, I pull him to me, kissing him finally, his beard scratching at my skin. He holds me to him, fingers light on my skin, like he’s cherishing me. He cups my face and pulls back, looking into my eyes like he’s making sure I’m really ok. I smile. I know I have to look fucked out by this point, but somehow, I’m not done.
“Can I have a minute?” I ask. Will nods and points to the bathroom. I take a few moments to clean myself out, drying off before finally getting a good look in the mirror. I was right - I do look fucked out of my mind, a small smile playing on my lips. I return to the living room and they look at me, both of their eyes scanning my body, eyes darkening with every second.
“You doin’ ok, sweetheart?” Benny asks, his eyebrows pinching together and making him look like a damn puppy.
“So fucking good.”
They smile and Benny stands, already hard again as he takes my hand. “Good. Follow me.”
He guides me to his bedroom, spinning me around with a smile and motioning for me to lay down. I do, scooting up the bed, which is apparently not where he wanted me, as he grips my ankles and pulls me down to the edge fo the bed in one swift movement, my boobs bouncing as I giggle. He kneels between my legs, pushing them apart as he stares down at me, already wet for more.
“Fuck, you’re gorgeous. I didn’t get to look before.” He lowers his head and darts his tongue out, a quick little tap at my clit and my legs jerk. He does this a few more times, chuckling darkly when my legs continue to twitch before he finally licks up the center of me, sucking lightly on my clit. My chest is heaving, my fingers fly to his hair, gripping his golden locks as he slides his nose through me, fucking me on his tongue.
“Oh God, Benny!” My thighs slam against his head as I cum, gripping his hair tightly, holding him to me as I chant his name. While I come down, he softly turns my body so my head is now at the edge. He moves back between my thighs, sliding his dick through me again, watching me twich and moan under him. He pushes in slowly, watching me for any sign of discomfort. My mouth flies open, breathing heavily as he bottoms out. He pulls one of my legs up onto his hip before gripping my wrists and pushing them into the bed on either side of my head. He slowly pulls out and pushes in, loving the way I contort under him.
I feel movement behind my head and that’s when I notice Will, standing off to the side of the room, watching Benny fuck me. On his next thrust, my head moves a little off the edge of the bed and suddenly Will is there, holding my head as he stands over me, his dick hard again. I know what he wants and I want to give it to him, immediately opening my mouth. He looks at my eyes, like he’s waiting for a final consent. “I want to taste you, Will.”
That’s all the permission he needs. He pushes in, much slower than he did before, making sure to stop when I can’t take anymore. I lick and suck as he guides me, his little moans and affirmations spurring me on, my own moans from Benny sliding in and out of me muffled by Will. Benny releases my wrists, taking a boob in each hand and squeezing them, pinching my nipples as Will leans over, rubbing circles into my clit. The overstimulation of everything, the idea that these 2 gorgeous men are not only turned on by me, but also doing everything they can to make sure I feel fucking orgasmically blissful. My thighs shake, my body tensing as I start to come, Benny’s voice muffled by the ringing in my ear, Will quickly pulling from my mouth to let me cry out their names, my eyes watering from all the stimulation. I can feel Benny holding back, trying to give me a moment.
“Fuck me, Benny!”
“Yes, ma’am.” His hips snap against mine, hitting deeper than he’s done so far. My mouth hangs open and I gesture at Will, who pushes himself into my mouth, holding onto my head as he fucks into me, matching Benny’s thrusts. Benny takes one of my hands, lacing his fingers with mine as I reach behind my head with the other, fingers digging into Will’s thigh. He pants my name, cumming down my throat as Benny grunts out my name, hips sputtering into mine. Will comes to first, quickly pulling himself out of my mouth, a trail of spit still connecting us. He dabs at my mouth, moving towards the bathroom, the sound of running water a few moments later. Benny is still inside of me, his head on my chest as his breath finally levels out, humming as I card my fingers through his hair.
Will comes back into the room and like teamwork, they take care of me, helping me into the bathtub, washing me up and making me feel clean and cared for. After, they offer me some soft boxers and a shirt, in case I didn’t feel like putting on my dress. They help me into it, bringing me a glass of water and finally listening when I turn down their offer of food for the 5th time. I sit on the bed for a moment, looking between them both.
“This…this was…well…fucking amazing. I’ve never…I’m not the one who…just… thank you. For a fucking good time.”
They smile at me. “It doesn’t have to end, darlin’.”
“I-what?”
Benny takes my hand, rubbing little circles into the back of it. “Do you wanna stay for the weekend?”
I have never agreed to anything so fast in my life.

𝓒𝓻𝓸𝓼𝓼𝓮𝓭 𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓲𝓮𝓼
The afternoon slowly fell over New Orleans, bathing the streets in a golden hue that softened the shadows of the old buildings.
_____ and Charles had spent the last hour at an elegant downtown café, one of those places frequented by high society, where light filtered through lace curtains and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air.
Charles, impeccably dressed in a dark gray suit, consulted his pocket watch for the umpteenth time.
"I'm afraid I must leave, _____. The meeting with the committee can't wait."
His tone was polite, but there was a slight tension in his voice.
_____ raised an eyebrow and looked at him with a slight nod.
"Don't worry, Charles. I'll enjoy a bit more of my coffee."
Charles leaned in to give her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I'll see you later."
And with that, he took his leave, leaving _____ alone at the marble table, her coffee almost untouched.
As Charles walked away, _____ turned her attention back to her coffee and the serene atmosphere of the place.
Her face reflected a mix of contemplation and a slight smile, as if Charles's departure was merely a minor detail in her day.
She was lost in her thoughts when a familiar figure stopped by her table.
"Fancy running into you again, Miss?"
Alastor's voice was soft but firm, with a touch of irony that made her smile despite herself.
He stood before her, his enigmatic expression and dark eyes fixed on hers.
"Alastor"
_____ replied, somewhat surprised but not displeased to see him.
"What a coincidence to find you here."
"I don't believe much in coincidences,"
He replied, taking a seat without waiting for an invitation.
"Fate has curious ways of playing with us, don't you think?"
_____ couldn't help but smile at his boldness.
There was something about Alastor that intrigued her, a blend of mystery and confidence that contrasted with Charles's seriousness and predictability.
"What brings you here?"
She asked, trying to hide her curiosity.
Alastor paused before responding, looking at her with an intensity that made her feel a bit vulnerable.
"Sometimes, I just need a good coffee to clear my mind. But now that I see you, I think I've found something better."
_____ felt a slight flush rise to her cheeks but hid it behind a sip of coffee.
"You're very direct, Alastor."
"I've always been,"
He replied, leaning back in his chair.
"It's one of the advantages of not having to please anyone in particular."
He paused, then, with a more serious tone, added:
"It seems to me that you've had a rather easy life, haven't you? Everything solved, everything in its place."
_____ looked at him with a hint of challenge in her eyes.
"Not everything is as it seems, Alastor. I think sometimes people see what they want to see."
"Perhaps you're right,"
He conceded, still watching her closely.
"But I have a feeling there's more to you than you let on."
There was a silence between them, one charged with a strange electricity.
Alastor seemed to be searching for something in her gaze, and _____ felt that this something might be more than she was willing to show.
"My parents make sure my life follows certain rules,"
She finally said, breaking the silence.
"My mother, in particular, has very clear ideas about how I should live. But my father... he's different. He's always been more understanding."
Alastor nodded, as if he understood more than she was saying.
"Family expectations can be a heavy burden."
"They are,"
Admitted _____.
"But not everything in my life is as easy as you might think. There are... challenges that aren't always visible at first glance."
Alastor smiled, a smile that wasn't entirely joyful but had a touch of understanding.
"I guess we all have our own battles, don't we?"
_____ nodded, feeling an unexpected connection with him.
There was something in his way of speaking, in his manner of looking at her, that made her want to know more, to understand more about this man who had burst into her life so suddenly.
"Perhaps we could continue this conversation another time,"
He suggested, breaking the tension with a lighter tone.
"How about we meet again? We could explore more about these 'coincidences' that we both seem to enjoy."
_____ hesitated for just a moment before smiling.
"I'd love that, Alastor. I think it would be interesting."
And so, with a tacit promise of future meetings, they said their goodbyes.
But as _____ made her way home, she couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed in her life.
Something she couldn't quite define, but which she knew would lead her down a completely different path than she had imagined.
