The Danger in Romanticizing (Ao3 Link)
"Steve, I'm serious, you might absolutely hate Eddie."
Steve sighs and relaxes against their couch. This is the third time today that Robin has given him this warning. "I'm not going to terrorize him to the point that Chrissy breaks up with you."
Robin raises her eyebrows at him as if he would seriously do it. "You don't know Eddie though. He's... he's someone you would've hated in high school. He's loud, nerdy, dramatic, and he was in a band."
"Robin, he sounds just like you."
Robin's jaw drops. "Take it back."
Steve laughs, "Come on, he sounds great. I don't know why you and Chrissy think we'll hate each other."
"He was bullied in high school by jocks just like you, but he threw it right back at them," Robin says while pacing. "And Eddie to Chrissy is the equivalent of you to me - her platonic soulmate. If you two don't like each other, then I don't know what we'll do."
Steve stands up and grabs Robin by the shoulders, stopping her pacing. "It's going to be fine. If anything, we'll just make polite small talk any time we see each other. As far as I'm concerned, you like him and he's kind to you, so he's good on my list."
Robin nods but she doesn't look convinced.
"I just can't believe that you two waited a month to introduce us."
Robin sighs and walks away from him, brushing off imaginary dust on their couch and chair. "It'll be easier to explain when you meet him."
"When are they supposed to get here again?"
Robin glances at the clock and goes pale. The doorbell rings and Steve feels a sudden rush of nerves. He doesn't know why he's so nervous to meet this man. He really likes Chrissy, and he can't imagine her being best friends with someone he wouldn't like.
Robin takes a deep breath and looks Steve over for a second sighing as if disappointed in something.
"What?"
"Nothing," Robin says quickly and rushes to the front door. She pauses and looks over her shoulder. "Just please be nice."
Steve gives her a thumbs-up and shoves his hands in the pockets of his jeans, waiting for this mystery man to appear.
The door opens and Steve spots Chrissy first, sporting a very nervous smile, and then the door opens all the way to reveal Eddie.
And holy shit. With all the warnings, it never crossed Steve's mind that the man could be so damn hot. He's wearing a black t-shirt with some band on it that Steve doesn't know but the short sleeves show off a few tattoos that make him curious about how many he may be hiding under the rest of his clothes. He tries not to let his eyes wander for too long, so he doesn't dare stare for any longer, glancing back up at Eddie's face in hopes that he hasn’t been caught.
He feels his heart speed up a little bit as he finds Eddie looking him up and down quickly before shooting him a small smile. And god, he has dimples.
Steve smiles back at him and walks to the front door. He bends down to pull Chrissy into a hug first before pulling away to hold a hand out to Eddie. He takes it, and Steve's eyes catch on his rings quickly. He wonders if the whole tough exterior was built to protect him while simultaneously drawing attention. "Hey, I'm Steve."
"Eddie," he says back. And his damn voice goes straight through him.
"Oh shoot, I forgot to grab something from the store before we got here," Chrissy says. "Robin, will you come with me to get it?"
"I can-" Eddie starts to say, but Robin's already grabbing Chrissy's hand and pulling her out the front door.
It closes loudly and Steve winces at the noise.
Eddie turns to him and awkwardly smiles. "So..."
"So," Steve says, noticing the hesitation coming from Eddie. He wonders... "Can I just come out and ask if you've been getting the same warning that we might hate each other?"
"Yes!" Eddie says and lets out a deep breath. "And did they seriously just leave us alone thinking that?"
"They're lucky if we don't kill each other."
"If? Don't you mean 'when?'" Eddie asks with a teasing smile.
Steve laughs loudly and asks, "Do you want a beer or something?"
"God, I would love a beer."
Steve smiles and walks off to the fridge, grabbing two and gesturing Eddie over to the living room. They both sit on the couch a comfortable distance away from each other, and Steve ignores the itch to move closer. "So, I heard that you were in a band."
"And I heard you were a former jock."
Steve snorts and waggles his fingers at him. "Your worst nightmare."
Eddie dramatically leans away from him with a hand over his heart. "Good heavens, you're absolutely repulsive."
Steve finds himself laughing again. He has no idea why Robin thought he would ever hate this guy.
"So," Eddie says with a small smile, "What are you doing now, former jock? Chrissy hasn’t mentioned you being in any of her classes or hanging around the college, so I’m assuming you don’t go there."
Steve runs a hand through his hair and leans back against the couch. "No, college isn’t for me. I'm working in sales at my dad's company. Specifically, as a car salesman." Eddie immediately cringes and Steve sighs, "Trust me. I know. But I'm absolutely horrible at my job. I can never bullshit someone. If they tell me what they're looking for, I'm giving them exactly that and not some overpriced bullshit."
Eddie raises his eyebrows. "But you're still selling cars, so it sounds like you're doing your job."
"Not the way my dad wants me to," Steve complains.
"So, why don't you do something else?" Eddie asks point blank.
Steve's a little taken aback by the bluntness, but he appreciates it. He shrugs. "I got horrible grades in high school to the point that I couldn't get into even the easiest colleges. Working with my dad just seemed like the only option."
"For a while I was thinking about working at the plant with my uncle because high school was terrible for me. I managed to fail my senior year twice before graduating."
"So, what are you doing now?" Steve asks, curious about what other options there are.
Eddie leans back against the couch and takes a long swig of his beer. Steve tries not to focus on the tendons in his neck as he swallows. "I had this moment after I graduated where I suddenly realized that my creative outlets suddenly vanished. My band had to take a break because everyone but Gareth graduated and Jeff and Grant were going to college, and I could no longer run Hellfire Club which got rid of my Dungeons and Dragons outlet. And for some reason, I was struck with this great idea to write a novel."
He shifts, crossing his legs under himself and looking off in the distance with a sad smile. "I just sat down and wrote and wrote. It's like the words were pouring out of me, and I couldn't stop them. God, I barely slept." He pauses as if he's reliving the moment. "Then, I had this extremely rough draft of this book, and I started calling publishers and I went to the first one who would take me. But they read it and told me it would be better as a children's story."
Steve can't help but interject, "That's just one person's opinion though."
Eddie nods and drinks more of his beer. "Yes, but they offered to actually look at it and publish it once I simplified it."
"Did you do it?"
Eddie nods. "Yeah, and I mean, it brought in a decent amount of money that I've been cruising on, but I don't know. There were so many things I wanted to expand on. I was aiming for a whole book series."
Steve turns to him and sits crisscrossed. "So, what's the children's book about?"
Eddie sighs, "You're going to find it so dumb."
"Try me."
Eddie puts his beer down on the coffee table and leans in to Steve. "So, it takes inspiration from Dungeons and Dragons. And it's about this boy who has never felt like he's fit in. For some reason, he's always been disliked by people or shunned for being different. Then, he comes across this monster, one that he's heard terrifying stories about from all these different adventurers. But instead of attacking it, he tries a different approach and finds that he can befriend the monster, and he ends up naming him Dart and they travel together. And for once he doesn't feel alone."
Steve's jaw drops as Eddie continues to describe the story, feeling frozen in place.
"Then, they come across more creatures, and they find they're all evil because they're always under attack. And yes, some are just pure evil, but it doesn't define the whole species. Then, the story gets really cheesy..." Eddie trails off with a groan. "God, this is embarrassing."
Steve finally finds his voice and continues for him, "Then, he's practically hunted by the town who assumes he's evil because he's with all these monsters which they think he must have some sort of dark control over. But then when an even bigger monster comes and threatens to destroy the whole town, they turn to him for help. The boy becomes a hero, but he goes back with the rest of the monsters who always accepted him for who he was."
Eddie's eyes become considerably wider by the end of Steve's narration. "How do you...?"
Steve grabs his hand and pulls him to his room, opens the door, and goes through the small stack of books on the bottom shelf of his nightstand. He pulls out Eddie's book and holds it up. "You're Eddie Munson?"
Eddie nods, totally bewildered.
"Holy shit," Steve says with a big smile, "Dustin loves this book!"
"Dustin?"
"One of the kids I used to babysit, he's in high school now, but he went on about this book for weeks. He loves Dungeons and Dragons, and as soon as I saw it, I bought it for him. He thought it was some kind of joke because it's a children's book, but he read it and developed so many theories about it. He made all his friends buy it because he thinks it could change the whole universe of Dungeons and Dragons. Shit, you’re like a legend to him."
Eddie's mouth just opens and closes. "I- I don't know what to say."
"Could you possibly meet him sometime? No pressure at all, but he'd love you."
"Yeah! Definitely," Eddie says and excitedly bounces a bit. "God, I've never met a fan before."
"I have to warn you that he may be a bit much, and I don't think he would ever leave you alone after this. But it would make his entire year, maybe even his whole life."
Eddie just smiles widely and nods. "Yeah! Yeah, I mean, I can also be a lot, so I'm ready. Just let me know when."
Steve smiles and shakes his head. "This is so cool. And thank you, really, this means the world to me."
"Same here," Eddie says.
The two let the excitement bubble down a bit, but the smiles don't leave their faces. Eddie glances around though and asks, "No offense, but why is your room so..."
"Empty?" Steve fills in for him. Eddie nods. "Well, my parents didn't really let me decorate my room, and I've just never really known what I wanted to do with my own place. So, I've kind of put it on the back burner. Plus, I spend most of my time in Robin's room or in the living room."
Eddie looks around and shakes his head. "My room is covered in shit. It's like I never have enough wall space or floor space for everything I want."
"I can see why Robin and Chrissy thought we wouldn't like each other," Steve says, sitting on his bed covered in a plain blue comforter and patting the empty space next to him.
Eddie follows the cue and sits down. "That all feels like surface-level bullshit."
"I think they're so blinded by their love for each other that they couldn't think beyond it. I know Robin's scared shitless of messing things up."
"God, so is Chrissy. I swore that even if you were the biggest asshole I was going to pretend to like you. Luckily, you're making it easy."
Steve feels the tips of his ears turning red. "Same here."
Eddie smiles at him, and Steve feels so enamored by him that he can't help but ask, "So, what about you?"
"What about me?"
"Are you seeing anyone?" Steve asks, hoping he doesn’t come off as too forward.
Eddie shrugs and looks down at his hands. "Sort of," he says and looks back at Steve. "I'm bisexual, so it's a little harder for me sometimes."
Bisexual. The label that Steve has personally struggled with for years.
"Shit, don't tell me your biphobic."
Steve snaps out of his mini panic and asks, "What?"
"You practically grimaced when I said bisexual. Or are you someone who is only okay with girls being in relationships but not guys?"
"No! No," Steve insists. He takes a deep breath. He's not sure what it is about Eddie that makes him feel so at ease, but he confesses, "It's just that... I think that I'm also bisexual. I don't know though. I know I've had feelings for guys and felt attraction, but I can't picture myself dating a guy. But I feel so horrible admitting that. Maybe I'm just a coward."
Eddie's expression shifts from guarded to sympathetic quickly. "Who can blame you though? The world sometimes just... sucks. But here's something that kind of blew my mind when learning about bisexuality - you can still have preferences. Like, for me, I have a preference towards men, but I can't deny that some girls I've had feelings for. Even Chrissy once upon a time, but I quickly realized how much better things were platonically. You can always have a preference for women; it doesn't have to be half and half."
It's like something finally clicks in Steve's head. He breathes a sigh of relief. "Where have you been all my life?" he asks somewhat dramatically.
Eddie laughs, "Being kept away by Robin and Chrissy."
Steve smiles and traces their conversation back a bit. He lands on a question and asks, "So, how are you sort of dating someone?"
Eddie groans and runs his hands over his face. "There's this guy I've been somewhat hooking up with at this bar. And he's just perfect, you know?"
"Oh no," Steve says, feeling the familiar phrase wash over him.
"What?"
Steve really looks at Eddie, accessing him fully before declaring, "You're a romanticizer."
Eddie scoffs. "How did you arrive at that conclusion?"
"'He's just perfect,'" Steve mimics him. "It's the dead giveaway. Plus, I am too. It gets me in trouble a lot. But I hate seeing it in other people. Like there's this asshole I work with that my dad loves but I absolutely despise. His name is Collin, and he's constantly bragging about all these women he has practically begging at his feet for his attention and shit. Then, at these work parties, Collin's wife will always just go on about how perfect her husband is. God, it kills me because she's so blind to it all. I would tell her, but my dad would kill me if I did anything that potentially would affect Collin working for him."
Steve sighs and clutches Eddie's book closer to his chest, not noticing until now how he's been unconsciously using it as a source of comfort. "Anyways, I just hate seeing people love blindly."
"I've done the same thing," Eddie admits, "But this time it feels different."
"Ten bucks he sucks."
This startles a laugh out of Eddie, but he sticks his hand out. "You're on." They shake on it quickly. "So, what about you? Are you currently romanticizing anyone?"
Steve smiles sadly. "Not at the moment, but feel free to call me out on it when I do."
"Looking forward to it," Eddie says with a smile. "Now tell me, do you have to wear those awful polos to do sales?"
"I do, but I'll have you know that I actually like those awful polos."
Eddie stands up and gasps, "I'm appalled. Please don't tell me you have more than five in your closet."
"I have way more than five. I actually almost wore one today, but I went with my comfort sweater instead."
Eddie walks slowly toward his closet door. "Is this where the source of disaster is?"
Steve raises his eyebrows and nods.
"May I?" Eddie asks with his hand on the knob.
"Prepare yourself."
Eddie takes a dramatic deep breath to gather himself before swinging the door open dramatically and yelling, "It's worse than I thought!"
"You haven't even looked through it!"
"I saw more than two collared shirts," Eddie says in horror. "Steve, I've decided that Robin and Chrissy are absolutely correct, and there's no way I could ever like you."
Steve laughs, but is interrupted by Chrissy and Robin suddenly barging into the room yelling, "What happened?"
Eddie and Steve look at them and laugh.
"We didn't hear you come in," Eddie says.
"We wanted to check the atmosphere as it was, but we heard you say the thing about not liking Steve and we thought..." Chrissy trails off.
Steve finds Robin staring at him while looking worried. "Steve, are you okay?"
Steve frowns. "Yeah, I'm fine, why?"
"You're holding your comfort book."
Steve flushes red and puts his head in his hands.
"His what?" Chrissy and Eddie ask.
"His comfort book. He reads it or makes me read it whenever he's sick, has a bad day, or misses Dustin."
"Robin," Steve groans, embarrassed by his secret being revealed.
The mattress shifts beside him and Steve glances toward the source, finding Eddie amusedly smiling down at him. "So, you're also a fan."
"Wait, what am I missing?" Robin asks.
"Eddie wrote that book," Chrissy answers and crosses her arms, "But he also tells no one about it."
Robin's jaw drops, but Steve ignores it to smile at Eddie. "Aw, so tell me, why me?"
A small blush appears on Eddie's cheeks. "And why me about your..." he trails off, looking nervously toward Chrissy.
Steve glances at Robin who looks at him, gesturing to explain. "I told him I was bisexual."
Robin's jaw drops again. She and Chrissy exchange a look of bewilderment.
Steve throws an arm around Eddie's shoulders and says, "Looks like you two were very wrong."
"And we're very upset that you kept us away from this beautiful friendship for so long."
"Very upset," Steve agrees.
"Oh god, I think we've created a monster," Robin says.
Chrissy just giggles.
“I don’t know, I kind of like the monsters Eddie creates,” Steve comments.
Eddie laughs and Steve looks at him fondly. He doesn’t think that Robin has ever been so wrong about something because there’s no way Steve could ever dislike Eddie.
Part Two :)

💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
He thought he was being obvious.
He doesn't do this stuff for everyone else. He doesn't show up after work to hang out for no reason other than just wanting to be around the other person. He doesn't talk on the phone for three hours in the middle of the night to comfort the other person after nightmares. He doesn't fucking stargaze with anyone.
But with Eddie he does. Steve always goes out of his way for Eddie.
He knows why, and he feels like everyone can see it too: he loves him.
But somehow, Eddie doesn't see it, or chooses not to.
Even Dustin, oblivious to human emotion as anyone else Steve's ever met, pulled him aside after Hellfire one night --yes, he even attends Hellfire now-- to ask if he knew he was flirting with Eddie so much.
Robin and Nancy had called him out on two different occasions for touching him too much in public, but he hadn't even realized his hand had gone to his waist!
And Eddie still seemed clueless.
Or at least, most of the time he seemed clueless.
Sometimes, though, Steve could swear he looked at him in a specific way, a way that Steve would think is understanding and maybe even returned feelings. But he never said anything, never did anything out of the ordinary for Eddie.
Months of wondering what the hell he could do differently, months of being less and less subtle every day, months of showing how much he loved him without actually saying it.
All for Eddie to still be oblivious.
But not tonight,
Tonight, he was going to Eddie's to have dinner and watch a movie. Wayne was on a fishing trip with his buddies from work, and all the kids were at the same summer camp, probably torturing underpaid teenage counselors.
No interruptions were possible.
He could bring out all his moves, and if Eddie still didn't get it by the end of the night, maybe he could even use his words.
"Dinner's almost ready!" Eddie yelled from the kitchen as Steve let himself in. "I didn't burn anything!"
Steve rolled his eyes fondly. "Sounds like something someone who burnt dinner would say."
"I didn't! I mean one edge is a little crispy on the lasagna, but I think that's because our oven is older than Wayne. You think the government could've given us a better oven for my troubles, but apparently not," Eddie turned to Steve standing in the doorway. "You look...nice."
Steve always liked to look nice, but he'd decided to dress up a little bit tonight, try to make his intentions clear right from the start. His hair was done as usual, but he was wearing his khaki slacks instead of jeans and his nicest navy polo instead of the t-shirts he'd mostly been wearing outside of work. He even sprung for his watch that his dad gave him as a graduation gift. He hated to know how much money was wasted on it, but it did look nice.
"Thanks. You do too," Steve replied.
Eddie looked down at his own clothes and back up at Steve. "Dude, I'm wearing sweats and a t-shirt that has more holes than cloth. You don't have to lie."
"I'm not lying. You always look best when you're comfy," Steve shrugged. "Need help with anything?"
Eddie shook his head. "Not unless you wanna grab beers from the fridge. I forgot to get some this afternoon so they're just Wayne's PBRs, but a cold beer's a good beer, right?"
"Right," Steve agreed, walking to the fridge to grab the beers.
Dinner went as dinner usually does, except they actually sat at the table this time instead of the couch. Eddie seemed surprised when Steve set his things down in front of the chair he only sat in to keep Eddie company while he planned for campaigns, but just silently joined him.
They talked and joked, they made themselves laugh so hard beer almost came out of Eddie's nose. It was perfect.
After, Steve started working on the dishes, Eddie standing by the counter watching.
He was quiet, which was unusual, especially when no one else was around to fill the silence.
"Everything okay, Eds?" Steve asked as he scrubbed a particularly difficult area on a fork.
"What? Oh. Yeah."
Steve turned to look at him, suddenly worried when he saw Eddie's face turned down to the floor. This wasn't them. They'd just had a nice dinner, and now Eddie was being...shy?
Now was his chance. He could say it. Robin would be proud of him for finally just doing it.
Hell, he'd be proud of himself for doing it.
But something seemed wrong, and the last thing Steve wanted was to turn a good night bad because he couldn't reign in his feelings for a bit.
He wiped his hands on the towel by the sink and turned fully towards Eddie.
"What's wrong?"
Eddie shook his head once, then sighed. "I kind of feel like I've been wined and dined tonight. And that's ridiculous because you're just one of my best friends, and you're straight, and it's all been in my head for months, but-"
"Woah. Wait." Steve interrupted. "You've been noticing that for months? And you didn't say anything?"
"Well, no. I didn't wanna ruin our friendship because I can't handle my own hopes getting up." Eddie leaned away from Steve further. "I know you don't mean it that way. I don't want you to change anything."
"Eds-"
"And if you do want to, that's fine! Whatever would make you comfortable. I just have to say it's feeling very 'I have romantic feelings' for you territory and I know you don't so."
"Eddie."
"I'm also not good at that though. No one's ever shown interest in me other than one girl in high school who ended up moving away a week later so I didn't even have to break her heart."
Steve crashed his lips to Eddie's, half hoping it would shut him up, and half hoping he would somehow keep rambling. He kind of loved watching him ramble.
It did shut him up. Even when Steve pulled away, Eddie's silence was deafening.
"Sorry. I should've asked if I could first, but I don't think you would have even heard me. Was that okay?" Steve asked.
"Why did you do that?" Eddie sounded heartbroken.
That's not what Steve wanted at all.
"I wanted to. I have wanted to."
"No you don't."
This was not going the way Steve had hoped for. "How would you know I don't?"
"Because I'm me! I'm just the dude who gets the good weed, and says funny shit, and cooks dinner sometimes. I'm not a girl Steve Harrington falls in love with, or even takes on a date. I'm not the type you build a relationship and future with. I'm just the guy who gets to watch everyone else do that. I'm not good for that."
"What the hell do you mean?" Steve was angry now. Who had convinced Eddie he couldn't have good things, couldn't be loved or love someone, couldn't be important? "You're Eddie Munson. You saved us all from an evil wizard dude and nearly died doing it. You're the guy who makes me a sandwich when I come over for Hellfire even though there's strict no eating during the campaign rules because you know I've been working all day and need to eat. You turn all my bad days good, and make my life better just because you're you."
"Steve-"
"My turn." Steve crowded him against the counter, hands cupping his cheeks and eyes boring into Eddie's. "I need you to understand something. I've been trying to show how much I care about you, how much I love you, for months, and I've been thinking I've just been terrible at it. I thought I truly did lose all my charm. I've been pulling all my moves out for you. I was starting to think maybe you just were trying to ignore it all to let me down easy, but it isn't that. It's because you don't see how fucking amazing you are, isn't it?"
Eddie's eyes were shining with unshed tears.
"Because you are. You're incredible. Maybe the best person I've ever known other than Robin. I find excuses to be near you. I find reasons to talk to you. I didn't even have a nightmare the other night, I just wanted to hear your voice. I'm in love with you. Like, the real stupid, do anything for you even if it hurts me kind. And if you don't feel anything for me besides friendship, I'll leave right now and I'll do my best to get over it so we can be friends."
"And if I do?"
"If you do love me, then you should kiss me."
"I've never kissed anyone."
"That's not true. We kissed two minutes ago," Steve smirked, his heart racing in his chest.
"I'm scared," Eddie's whispered admittance nearly broke Steve's heart.
"Oh love, I'm terrified. Love is like that. But we've faced scarier things, haven't we?"
Eddie's soft lips against his own was the only answer he needed.
Love was terrifying, even for Steve, maybe especially for Steve, who was used to giving a lot more love than he received back. But as they kissed in Eddie's kitchen for seconds that turned to minutes, minutes that turned to hours, they got just a bit less scared.

It was yesterday, when you were at the bookstore, standing in between the fantasy and horror isles at the bookstore when someone tapped on your back, between your shoulder blades. It was a man, significantly older than you but not elderly by any means, he was incredibly average looking man, apart from the scary grin he wore on his face, and his beady eyes that stared at your chest rather than your face.
"Don't see many pretty young girls listening to Metallica." He smirked at the band tee you wore and your heart raced with anxiety. You wondered if he could tell the shirt was too big for you, if he could tell it was a man's shirt- Eddie's. "What's your favourite song by them honey?" He asked and the petname made you feel sick.
"Um-" "Um!" He cut you off mocking you and you pouted, backing up, wiping your sweaty palms on the sides of your skirt.
"I don't- I don't listen to them. My boyfriend, he loves 'em." You didn't talk more than that and you almost flinched at the very unsubtle way the corner of his lip rose in irritation.
"That right? How old is he?" He asked, a step closer to you as you took one back. Your eyes watered as you realized any further back and you'd just be trapped against the bookcase.
"He's twenty." You hoped he didn't see your lip tremble, you hoped he couldn't hear your heart beating so fast.
"Twenty? See young guys- little boys like that don't know how to treat their girls." That's all that was said before the situation escalated and ended with you running out of the store crying. He didn't do anything more than grab your ass, but it was revolting.
You took deep breaths before you pulled out of the parking lot. Your first instinct was to drive to Eddie's house, cry into his chest and complain about the creep in the bookstore. You could see him in your head, hugging you, rocking you as he kissed the crown of your head. You didn't understand why the thought of that made you uncomfortable, you just didn't want to be touched again. What you needed was a shower, and then bed.
✽-
The next morning, Eddie picked you up as usual, he did every morning. Usually you loved it, getting to spend time with him before you started your day, and it got him to school on time, not wanting to make you late. Today you'd rather walk, every car ride Eddie would stroke your thigh, kiss you at every stop sign, squeeze in a quick make out session before you left the car.
You avoided all that. Grabbing his freehand and holding it so it wouldn't venture to your legs, fake yawning and leaning your head against the window with your eyes closed, too tired to kiss. You left his van before he got the chance to try and make out with you.
He did call you pretty, and cute in the span of three minutes, which brought a smile to your face, especially since you didn't feel pretty or cute, wearing a loose fitting t-shirt and grey sweatpants instead of the skirt and tighter top you normally would've worn, too uncomfortable to wear anything very revealing.
He walked with you into the school, slightly behind you like he usually did and you distanced yourself just slightly, so his hand wouldn't find the small of your back.
You chewed your lip as you turned around to face him. "'M gonna go talk to Robin before class." You smile softly, albeit anxiously at him, but he didn't read into it too much thankfully.
"Alright baby, tell her I said hey." He grinned and you nodded, guilty you hadn't been giving him the same attention and intimacy you normally would. He leaned forward to kiss you and you turned your head, he was fine with just kissing your cheek. "You okay baby?" He asked, glassy brown eyes searching your own. You told him you were, and you both knew you were lying, but he didn't press it.
You swallowed thickly as you turned from him, wiping the invisible kiss off of your face when you knew he couldn't see you, walking on shaky legs until you found Robin.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" She asked, and you sighed, shrugging even though you knew. Her eyes burned into yours until you leaned against the lockers with a pout. Finally you told her what happened.
She scoffed. "Men. So many of them are fucking creeps, I thank the gods every day for the fact that I swing the other way." She rolled her eyes with a grimace on her face that matched the one that was starting to grow on your own. "Was Eddie with you?" She asked and you shook your head. "That's- well maybe that's a good thing. He would've totally lost his shit." She laughed.
That last sentence stuck with you. Why would Eddie be mad? It wasn't your fault. But then maybe it was, you could've moved away sooner, told him to stop, you could have just not interacted with him in the first place and moved on. And now Eddie would be mad at you.
✽-
It stuck in your head until lunch. And when it was lunch, you felt anxious again. You felt so guilty, especially seeing Eddie smile so big the second he saw you. When you reached the hellfire table, you pulled your usual seat a few inches away from him, so you wouldn't be pressed flush against him like usual.
You sat and he wrapped his arm around you like usual, so you leaned forward letting his arm rest on the back of your chair, that was fine.
Things were okay for the next ten minutes. You got less anxious, joining in on the conversation, things seemed normal again, despite the lack of Eddie's tongue down your throat which was common for every other lunch period.
Suddenly that normalcy ended. "You're too far baby." Eddie tsked, easily picking you up and putting you in his lap, arm over your lap and gripping the underside of your thigh, the same place that old man's hand was less than a day ago.
You leaped up without thinking, heart racing, all the eyes of hellfire on you. "Stop! Stop- just don't- don't want you touching me." Your voice shook, and tears welled in your eyes when Eddie's smile fell completely. You mistook the concern on his face for anger and you bolted, you didn't go far, only to the library, you'd favourite place in Hawkin's High, save for Eddie's arms.
You sat in the back on a soft chair, you weren't there long before Eddie found you. He kneeled in front of you, making himself look small as he peered up at your teary eyes. He placed his hand on the arm of the chair, not on your skin.
"I talked to Robin baby, do y'wanna talk about what's bothering you?" His eyes didn't look angry like you thought they would, only sweet and inviting. His lips turned to match the pout on your face, he always did it and it made you giggle, you felt your lips twitch with the beginning of a smile. It was hard to stay upset around Eddie.
"Are you mad?" You asked and his eyes immediately widened, curls swaying with his head as he shook it.
"Of course not sweet girl, I could never be mad at you baby. Especially not for something that wasn't your fault." He assured you. Immediately the guilt in your chest floated away. "Do you wanna talk to me about it baby?" He tilted his head and you nodded.
"Yesterday, at the bookstore there was this older guy." Your lip trembled. "He was askin' about my shirt 'n he called me pretty. Then he started asking about you when I told him I have a boyfriend. He said twenty year olds dunno how to please girls, and he- and he touched me." You brought your knees to your chest as the tears on your waterline started to drip over your cheeks.
Eddie's jaw tensed. "Where did he touch you?" It was tearing him apart to not be able to hold you right now, wipe away your tears. But he understood there was a new boundary as a result of what happened, and he'd respect that, keep his hands to himself until he knew it was okay to touch you again.
"He rubbed my leg- 'n he grabbed my butt." You whispered, he didn't look angry, upset yes, worried, absolutely, but he wasn't mad. "I told Robin about it 'n she said if you were there you would've lost your shit." You kept your voice down and he shook his head quickly again.
"No- no baby, well, yes. But I wouldn't have been mad at you at all, just at that guy. It's not okay for him to go around touching girls, 'specially my girl. But that's not your fault baby, you didn't do anything wrong. I promise you did good, and I'm not mad at you at all." He promised and you sniffled.
There was a beat of silence before you threw yourself from the chair onto your knees, burying your face in his chest. His arms immediately squeezed you close to him, brushing your tears away gently.
"How about we skip the rest of our classes today, head to that bookstore, 'n I'll buy you whatever book you didn't get to buy yesterday. And if that guy's there, you point him out and he and I can have a little talk, I'll make sure he doesn't touch you, or anyone else like that again, hm?" His voice was soft, calm as he pet your hair and you nodded.
"I love you." "I love you"
You didn't see that guy again when you went to the bookstore later on, Eddie's arm protectively hooked around you through each isle. He got you your book, and you even got to read the first couple of chapters to him in his arms that night.

"Hey, Jay," she asked in a totally calm totally cool manner the next morning, completely numb thanks to the nice little combo she'd whipped up. Not floating or un-present but not in pain, even where the arm of the couch was digging into her side as Jason squished into her, laying fully on top of her.
"Yes, my beloved?"
"Don't make me take away your books you little dork. I was just wondering if your family knows about you...you know, not being dead?"
"Uh, yeah, why?"
"Just if I happened to run into them I wouldn't wanna be like 'oh I'm dating Jason' and they'd be all 'wtf is wrong with this chick, he's dead' you know."
"I guess. Alex," he said grabbing her hand and pulling it to his mouth," I'm gonna introduce you, I'm not ashamed of you or whatever the hell else your mind is trying to say. My family is...overwhelming for most and I didn't want to scare you off."
"I get it dude, and since I just recently placed you as Robin you would have had to hire a family, or spill you deepest secrets to me. Lucky for you, I am the most understanding woman on the planet."
"I'd argue, but you're right. I'll text Alfred, the leader of the gang, and see when we can come for dinner. Be warned though, it could be tonight, they've been trying to get me to come home for a while now."
It was in fact that night. Alex scurried around for a clean pair of jeans, then after a glance in the mirror at her too large reflection she ripped them off and tossed them to the floor. A dress? No, that one has a tear. This skirt? No, it's too short. Jean short, they're clean but who the fuck wear jeans shorts to a mansion. Business slacks, no that says trying too hard. Ah ha, a superman t-shirt, and black leggings, then top it off with one of Jason's zip up hoodies.
"Is that what you're wearing," he asked with a laugh as he came into the room. In fact the laugh became a full blown fit and he doubled over nearly to the ground clutching his stomach and wheezing. With each second she got more and more self-conscious. Of course she couldn't wear what was basically pajamas to a fancy place, what was wrong with her. With a sigh she took off her boots and slid out of the leggings and switched them for her jeans, that she hated but whatever. Searching in vain for something that wasn't a graphic tee, or a business blouse she was half way through her closet when Jason recovered enough to notice what she was doing.
"No, put it back on, it's great, doll, I wasn't laughing at you, I was laughing with you."
"I wasn't laughing," she said without emotion.
"Hey, come 'er." Much to her wiggling protest he pulled her tight against him and placed several loud kisses along her scalp.
"Everyone else will be in pj's I solemnly swear, in fact I was just about to change into my matching flannel set, someone amazing bought it for me, but I can't remember who," he said tapping his chin with mock thought.
"Really?"
"Cross my heart," he said, though his fingers were crossed behind his back.
"Ok," she conceded trying to get free. He held on for another minute before spinning her out away from himself and winking when she fell back onto the bed. Matching pj's in hand he headed to the bathroom, not for privacy but to send an urgant group chat explicity stating lounge clothes were to be worn.

If It Makes You Happy
Day #24 - Behind the Scenes | Word Count: 1000 | Rating: T | CW: Language | POV: Goodie (Freak) | Pairing: Goodie/OFCs, Minor Steddie | Tags: 1990s, Touring Corroded Coffin, Superstitions, Goodie Just Wants To Go To This By Himself, But No, Fucking Road Manager Steve Harrington
Tumblr media
"What's the big rush?" Eddie asks, propping his feet up on the coffee table, in another hotel room, in another city. Another tour date among dozens of others. Nothing particularly special about it.
"Nothin'. Just, you know. Stuff," Goodie says, "I'll be back later. Don't wait up."
"Well, where are you goin'? Maybe I wanna go with," Eddie says, and that's not happening.
Not no way, not no how.
"Nowhere," Goodie says, "stop harassing me."
"Stop being so weird, and I will," Eddie pops off, slipping a cigarette between his lips.
Eddie won't stop being intrusive, never will, and being harassed by Eddie is just part of life. Has been since Goodie was a teen.
"I have plans, okay? Without you."
"Do you have a date?" Eddie asks, sitting up.
"Yes. Happy? I have a date."
"Gareth! Gareth!" Eddie screams, "Goodie has a date!" Eddie bleats, hoping to draw Gareth out of the neighboring suite.
Gareth doesn't show up, and Goodie is getting out of here before any more questions can be asked.
"Gotta go. Gonna be late," Goodie says, slipping his leather jacket over his shoulders, "for my date."
Goodie gets into the taxi outside of the hotel, and has the cabbie take him right back to the venue that they played at last night.
When he gets out, he looks at the ticket that's burning a hole in his pocket.
Front row, dead center.
Sheryl Crow.
Goodie is impatiently waiting for the opening act to get on with it, when he's jostled from the side, and when he turns to look…
Eddie.
He tilts his head back, as if to ask God why? What did he ever do to deserve this?
Eddie jabs his fingers into his ribs on his way by, and Goodie swats him away. Then sees that Gareth and Jeff are flanked by security, squeezing past everyone else around, drawing a whole shitpot full of attention onto themselves. Jeff is falling over himself apologizing, but nobody gives a fuck, because they aren't known. Not here. Not in this crowd, which is what Goodie had counted on when he planned to come all by himself.
Blend in.
Fucking Steve Harrington.
Steve must have told Eddie, and then got them all tickets. Not just the one, single ticket Goodie had requested to have a night to himself, looking up at Sheryl Crow. Listening to her sing and play the guitar, like a badass.
Now, he has to look at Eddie, Jeff and Gareth. And that's way less enticing of a prospect.
He's been stuck looking at their ugly mugs for the past decade.
He knew Eddie dating Steve was a horrible, terrible, awful idea right from the start.
And there is the little Judas now. Steve is pulling up the rear with Robin, and Goodie glares, and Steve looks back at him, absolutely unphased. Asshole.
After the show, they pile out of the arena with the rest of the crowd, and Eddie leans into him as they walk to the waiting van, their driver sitting behind the wheel.
Once they're situated, Eddie wraps his arms around Goodie's neck from behind, tight, squeezing, choking him a little.
"Just tell us if you want to do something, next time."
And Goodie nods.
Then Eddie slaps a shirt over his shoulder.
Goodie pulls it down, and laughs. It's her silhouette, backed with blue.
It's cool, and something he'd have picked for himself if maybe he'd been alone.
"I expect you to wear it tomorrow night on stage."
"Don't think I won't," Goodie answers, dryly.
Eddie squeezes his shoulders, shaking him, "If it makes you happy, then it can't be that bad," he teases, leaning over the backseat, talking right into Goodie's ear.
And then he kisses the back of Goodie's head, and the rest of them laugh.
The next night, he does wear the shirt, with his leather jacket over it.
And there's a girl in the front row that points at it, and then makes a heart with her hands.
Maybe this will be his new lucky shirt.
He thinks that really might be true when she's waiting outside of the stage door, looking for him. Not Eddie. Not Jeff. Not Gareth.
Him.
And it is his lucky shirt.
Every goddamn night he wears it, he pulls, and without much effort. The women damn nearly throw themselves at him.
Gareth is seething with jealousy, as Goodie holds his hotel room door open for the woman from last night to be on her way.
She runs her hand over his chest, and leans up to kiss him again.
The shirt, now soft with wear and magic, is the best thing that ever happened to him.
And then it's lost in the laundry.
Steve's gonna die. Goodie will make sure of it.
"It'll turn up," Steve says, not looking up from his clipboard.
"Steve. I need it."
"It. Will. Turn. Up," Steve stresses, and then walks away.
Goodie resigns himself to a dry spell, but he takes the stage, and kind of forgets about it.
He gets the same attention he got the last time he wore it.
And that happens again. And again.
Then, about a month later, Eddie slaps it over his shoulder again, just like he did the first night.
"It was never the shirt. I don't know why it finally gave you the confidence to flirt back with women, but it did and I just wanted you to know it was you. Not the shirt."
Goodie doesn't say anything, can't think of what he could possibly say to that.
It's still his favorite shirt. The most comfortable one he owns, and he wears it at least once a week, but now, it's not always on stage.
Sometimes he wears it on travel days, or off-days, when nobody sees him but the guys.
And, yeah, sometimes he still wears it on stage, even as the print fades. Because he likes it.
But he doesn't need it.
Not anymore.

Notes: That does appear to be a Sheryl Crow tour shirt from the 90s, I found it on eBay, but I'm not sure what year. So, just pretend it's right for this, haha.

Tumblr media
"Ah, twice in one night," You tease. You and Jason were hanging out in the living area only a mere moment ago before he decided to change out of his Robin costume, and you decided to retire to your bedroom for the night.
"Very funny," Jason laughs, shutting your door behind him and leaning against the wall. No longer in his robin costume, he's stood wearing a plain black t-shirt and sweatpants. Jason looks you up and down, taking in your cute pjs.
"I like the outfit," he says with a smirk, crossing his arms over his chest. "Very cute."
You look down at your matching pyjama set with pink and orange cats.
"Oh, thank you, my darling. It's one of a kind," You fake a posh British accent, watching as he sits on your bed casually. It was always interesting to you how at home he felt in your room.
Jason snorts, chuckling as you do the faux British accent. Then, he can't help himself and gives a small but genuine smile.
"I think it looks good," he says softly. He doesn't actually deny the 'my darling' part. "Are you watching anything else? I can't imagine you're ready for bed."
"I was gonna watch Succession, actually," you chuckle softly. "You're more than welcome to join."
He perks up at hearing that." Succession?! That show is great." He scoots over to make space for himself on your bed.
"I'm totally down."
We get through half an episode when Jason asks me to move forward. You do what he tells you, and he places the small decorative pillow you had for extra support on his lap and nods to it. With a sweet smile, you lay your head on the pillow and drape your arm over his legs. He gently brushes your hair with his fingers as you lay your head down and drapes his free arm over you.
"You can fall asleep if you want. You've worked all day; no need to stay up." he chuckles, adjusting his position and arms around you so you're more comfortable.
"I won't, don't worry," you chuckle. Your eyes roll slightly as Jason continues playing with my hair. Jason laughs softly, brushing through your hair with his fingers as you lay on his lap. He's still watching, his attention on you and the show.
"You know, you wouldn't look so damn exhausted all the time if you went to bed earlier," he teases you, chuckling. Then he smirks. "But I won't make you go to bed."
"I would if I could," you chuckle quietly.
"If you could?" he says with a smirk and a teasing tone. "Is it because I'm distracting you too much?"
"No, of course not," you giggle playfully. "I just haven't been able to sleep for the last couple of weeks," you shrug, closing your eyes as Jason continues to play with your hair.
"Hm." he leans back more, now with your head on his chest. He looks at you for a second, admiring you. "Not getting any good sleep, huh?"
You tilt your head back to look at him, "What're you saying, you little shit?" you laugh softly and teasingly at him.
Jason chuckles softly, knowing you're doing this just to get a reaction out of him. He brushes away the curls of hair that fall on your face. "I was just curious as to why you're so tired," he says.
He pulls your hair behind your ear and gently kisses your cheek. "Maybe I can help you sleep?" he teases with a wink.
"Yeah? How so?" you snicker playfully. Jason glances down at you, about to say something, but pauses and thinks momentarily.
Then, he gently pushes you off him, and you suddenly find yourself flat on your back, with him hovering over you.
"Like this, for now," he says with a playful smirk. His arms slide under your legs and pull you closer to him. You feel his warmth radiating off him and the bed as he leans closer.
"Oh my god!" You laugh. "I always knew you wanted me," you say with a playful snicker. Your breath hitches in your throat as you feel his lower body press right up against yours.
"Damn right, I do," he says with a smirk. His face is inches from yours as both hands wrap around your waist. "Been wanting to do this for a while, now." his mouth is centimetres from yours while he stares at you with piercing blue eyes.
"ooh, I bet you have," you giggle playfully, leaning up slightly. Jason presses his lips to yours. They're so much softer than you ever imagined they'd be. Your breathing becomes more heavier with each waking moment. Jason continues to push you down, bringing you closer and closer to him. His kisses become more urgent, like he's searching for something. He holds both of your hands above your head now, pinning them against the pillow as he kisses you.
You hook one of your legs around his waist, drawing his body harder against mine. You whimper into his mouth as his hips shift slightly, causing his hardening lower body to move against your core.
Your movements only fuel the fire inside of him, causing him to shift more on top of you and press his body flush against yours. His breath becomes ragged, his mouth moving against yours with a new energy. His grip on your wrists tightens, causing him to press your arms down harder against the bed. Jason deepens the kiss, his tongue exploring, as one of his arms slowly moves down, his hand caressing your thigh.
Your hips involuntarily raise up against his, making my nails dig into my palms. You're practically panting in his mouth, needing so much more. Jason stops kissing you momentarily as he looks down at you, his breath still ragged.
"God, [y/n]," he moans, his voice hoarse. He presses his lips against yours again, needing more. His hand keeps moving down, caressing your thigh, making small circles. As it does, he uses the other hand to untie the drawstrings of his sweatpants.
You let out a playful giggle against his lips, running a hand down his back to tug at the bottom of his shirt. Your other hand brushes through the ends of your hair.
"more," you breathe out breathlessly.
Jason's body shifts slightly, his hand continuing to caress your thigh. His shirt comes over his head before he pulls his sweatpants down his legs, leaving him just in his boxer briefs. He kisses you again, his tongue moving between your lips. His breath is still ragged as he mumbles against your lips.
"God, you feel so good," he moans, continuing to explore you with his tongue as his hand moves onto the waistband of his boxer briefs.
You tilt your head back and moan quietly as Jason kisses your neck. You feel his body shift against yours as he takes his boxers off. His hands start working at the buttons of your pyjama shirt, and you let out a giggle, stopping him.
He looks at you with a smirk. "What's wrong? Why're you stopping me?" he says seductively. he kisses your neck again. "You were just moaning for more." the smirk on his face grows even larger as you feel his teeth lightly graze your neck.
"no, I'm just making it easier for you, stupid," you chuckle playfully, sitting up slightly to lift the shirt off you instead of going through the effort of unbuttoning it. Jason looks at you for a moment in a bemused manner, like he never thought of that.
"Smart," he says, chuckling. Your shirt falls off the top of your body with ease. "Now I get more of you," he says, his body pushing more onto you as his hands start roaming over the new-found skin. He chuckles again, a deep and almost primal chuckle, enjoying the feel of your skin against his. Jason's hands work at pulling your pj pants down, leaving you lying underneath him in your bra and thong.
"mhm," you giggle, laying back down properly again. Your head tilts again as he kisses your neck, marking his territory. Your hips roll up against his hard lower body, and he could feel the soaked material of my thong as your pussy dripped with arousal.
Jason continues to caress the skin of your bare back as he kisses your neck and shoulders. He moves his lips closer to yours, and you can feel his breath — the heat of it on your neck and face is enough to make you feel slightly warm all over. His free hand continues to roam over your lower body, his fingers brushing against your skin.
Jason can feel how wet you are, and it makes him smirk as he continues to explore you and kiss you. His kisses are all over your neck, moving closer to your ears and face.
It's only when he leaned back slightly that you looked down at his cock. Jesus Christ.
"oh my god," I whisper, impressed but slightly worried at the same time, from his size.
"Like what you see?" he says, his voice hoarse and his breath ragged. His body still presses against yours, and he looks down at your face. "You seem impressed," he says with a smirk, looking down at your reaction.
"I - yeah," you breathe out, still staring. "is that..." You pause, glancing up at him. "is that gonna fit?" You whisper.
Jason puts his hands on your thigh as he leans up a bit more, his tongue leaving your neck as his face comes up closer to yours. Your words have him shaking with laughter.
"You're too funny, [y/n]," he says with a deep, hearty laugh.
"Yes," he answers, "it'll fit." he presses his lips to yours again, kissing you eagerly.
"bottom drawer," you whisper against his lips. Jason pulls away and opens the bottom drawer of my nightstand, noticing a box of condoms. "Dawn bought it and wanted to make sure that I was safe? I'm sure she gave you a box, too. Just like she did with Conner and Gar for some reason," you chuckle softly, your eyes travelling down to his cock again.
"you've definitely earned bragging rights, Jesus Christ." You comment.
"Bragging rights?" he smiles cheekily, pulling out one of the condom packets and ripping it open carefully. he looks down at you, rolling on the condom.
"I'm glad you think so," he says with an arrogant grin. He kisses your lips again, using his tongue to explore your mouth once again as his hand slowly moves down to the waistband of your thong again, slowly pulling it down your thighs. You whimper into his mouth as his fingers begin teasing the wet folds of your pussy. You hook one of your legs around his waist again, needing him so bad.
"Jay, stop teasing," you breathe against him. he looks at you with a smirk as he caresses your leg and brings his hand back up to your waist, giving you a wink.
"Where's the fun in that, [y/n]?" he smirks. He pulls away from the kiss temporarily and looks down at your underwear, which is on the floor now.
"Wow. It's all soaked," he says. Jason's smirk only grows as the hand at your waist continues to roam. He glances back up at your face.
"mm, and who's fault is that?" You snicker playfully before biting your lip as his hand goes back down between your thighs. The wetness coats his fingers, making both of us gasp softly.
Jason laughs softly, "Mine, of course." he looks back at you with a confident, cocky grin. Then, his fingers start circling your clit, causing you to react. He can hear your breathing quicken and get shallower.
Your hand instantly holds his wrist tightly, another gasp slipping past your lips. He had barely even started touching you yet, and your thighs were already shaking. Your eyes roll as his fingers continue to make small circles on your sensitive bud.
 "god..." You breathe out.
"You're already close?" Jason snickers playfully, moving his other hand onto your thigh. He looks at you, his eyes glancing down at your breathing as he smiles.
"You're already close," he whispers in confirmation before he leans down and kisses you again.
"It's been a while," you breathe out, your hips starting to roll against his hand. "like, a long while."
He chuckles at your admission. "You poor thing," he says with a grin, then he resumes kissing you. As he does, his other hand moves further up your thigh. You can feel his breath on your face as he continues to kiss you. His body is pressing down against yours as he moves against you.
"oh my god," you whimper, your eyes rolling in pleasure. You arch my back, tilting your head back against the pillow as his fingers work magic on your sensitive and wet clit. Jason pulls you close to him against his chest with his legs and his arms. His smile and his cockiness grow even more in light of your reaction. It's almost as if it's all a game to him - his goal being how many times he can make you cum. He kisses your neck while his hand continues to caress you.
"fuck... Jay... oh my... yeah," you whimper and pant heavily. "Jay... you're gonna make me cum." You pant, thighs shaking and body writhing underneath him.
"Oh, really?" he says with a smirk.
"yeah," I whimper, "oh my god." Jason can feel your pussy pulsing with need beneath his fingertips and makes faster circles on your clit. Your nails dig into his wrist lightly as you cum, panting his name as your body trembles underneath him.
Jason chuckles softly and looks down at you with that confident, cocky grin, still enjoying your reactions. "I could do this all day,"
"Good, because I don't want you to stop yet," you breathe out, pulling him down towards you to kiss him.
his smile widens as the two of you kiss. You hear that arrogance in his voice again as you continue to kiss. His free hand slides back down to your thigh, caressing your skin again. he looks at you while he speaks.
"You need more?" he whispers with a smirk, leaning back slightly.
"mhm," you nod, wrapping both legs around his waist. He aligns his cock to your pussy before sinking in. You gasp; his size is almost too big for your body to handle.
Jason's movements are so slow and gentle, stopping briefing for a moment before continuing to push deeper inside you.
"fuck, oh my god," you gasp, arms wrapping around his back as your nails dig lightly into his shoulder blades. "Definitely got size bragging rights," you manage to choke out. Jason chuckles — his pride and his arrogance are at an all-time high.
"Yeah, I already knew I did," he says with a smirk, continuing his slow, gentle movements. His comment makes you laugh softly and breathily.
"of course you did..." You breathe out, trying to stabilise your breathing as he's entirely inside you. His hips remain still, not moving until your body has adjusted to him properly.
You tilt your head back and chuckle softly again, "Oh my god."
"I told you I would fit," he says with an arrogant grin, looking down at you.
"yeah, just," you manage to reply, your breathing heavy as your pussy tightens around him. "god," you sigh in pleasure softly, nails still pressing into his shoulder blades lightly.
Jason smirks as your body tenses around him, and his voice again gets that edge of arrogance. "You're a little sensitive there," he says, "and I love it."
His hand on your thigh moves so it's against your waist. You feel his fingers move along your stomach. He chuckles again, a deep and proud chuckle.
"not my fault when you're so big," you breathe out, whimpering as his hips slowly start to move — pushing and pulling against yours.
"Jesus Christ... fuck... oh my god," you whine, nails dragging down his back slowly. Your comment on his size causes him to smile proudly, his grin growing even larger. The feeling of your nails dragging lightly down his back makes him laugh softly.
"Yeah, you can say that again," he says playfully, the edge of arrogance never far from his voice. Jason moves his hips slightly faster, and he's already hitting all the right spots inside you. You cling onto him - legs squeezing tighter around his waist, arms wrapping tightly around his back. Your head tilts back against the pillow again, moaning louder and louder with each thrust of his hips.
He looks at your face as he moves, his face in a state of awe, his lips pressed against yours while he kisses you. His fingers still move along the top of your abdomen.
"You okay, [y/n]?" he says with that same cheeky smirk.
"yeah," you whimper, finding it cute that he's checking in with you. The shock of his size was wearing off as your body was more focused on the pleasure he's giving you.
Jason continues to move his hips, slowly picking up the pace. His hands move on your body, one hand moving back down to your thighs, the other moving towards your chest. One of his hands slides up your chin and into your hair as he looks down at you again.
You're cute, [y/n]." his voice still has that slight arrogance to it. Without any warning to you, you suddenly released. You pant loudly, body trembling and pussy tightening around him as his hips continue to move.
He smiles widely, "Did you just-?" he says in disbelief. He pulls out and looks down at you.
"Oh my God," he says, his voice and tone dripping with pride.
He leans down and kisses your lips softly. "That was incredible, [y/n]," he says with a smirk and a proud grin. His breath is ragged.
"no, no, more," you pant, tightening your legs around him. His eyes widen as he hears your words, and a proud smirk crosses his face.
"More, you say?" his fingers move down your legs and your hips again. "Well, okay then," he says playfully.
He leans down and kisses you once more," Let's not break you," he mutters against your lips, his voice sounding slightly breathless.
"you're not gonna... ooooh my god," you moan out when he pushes his cock back into your pussy. Jason starts thrusting his hips again, causing you to whimper and whine. Your nails claw at his back again.
His voice gets that edge of arrogance again, as he smirks," Oh yeah? What makes you so sure?" he says with that hint of playfulness. He begins to pick up the pace again, his breath becoming ragged again as he does so.
"What if this gets too much for you to handle?" he says, almost teasing you with his tone.
"I can take it," you breathe out. Jason's turning you into a whining and whimpering mess, your body clinging onto him for dear life. Your hips tilt upwards slightly, making his cock repeatedly hit against your g-spot.
"Oh… jay… there," you pant, whining and rolling your eyes in pleasure. His smirk grows even bigger.
"Oh yeah?" he says playfully, almost sounding like he's challenging you. Jason continues to slowly increase the pace, his breath still ragged. He leans down and kisses your neck, which makes you react.
"Good," he says proudly. His hair is starting to get a little messy from your movements and from the both of you breathing heavily. The sound of my headboard slamming against the wall and each of his movements reverberated throughout the room. The mattress squeaked below, the sound similar to your own squeaks and whimpers.
"Jay," you whine, head feeling lightheaded from how quick and shallow you're breathing. His voice changes quickly once you say his name, the tone dripping with that same playfulness and slight arrogance again.
"Yeah?" he smiles, moving his head up to look at yours while he continues his movements.
You feel the bed shake even more, the sound echoing loudly in the room with each of his deep and swift movements.
"Cum," you whimper. "Please cum for me," you surprisingly manage to get the words out. Your body trembles underneath him, thighs shaking against his sides while they still manage to be wrapped around his waist
his eyes go wide as you beg him to finish. His smile grows as he hears your words, his voice still sounding playful with that edge of arrogance.
"Oh, you wanna make me come?"
"yeah," you squeak, gasping for air. "please," you manage to whimper out.
You see that playfulness in his face, that edge of arrogance in his voice.
He smirks at you," Now you start saying please?" he asks playfully. He moves his hips as much as he can so he's hitting what you asked for.
"Oh…god…jay!" You whimper, coming for the third time that night. Your nails dig into his back, your body becoming a trembling mess underneath him. You pant heavily, whining and whimpering as his hips continue to thrust against yours.
Finally, Jason cums, his hips stilling and flush against yours. He looks down at you as you cum for the third time. His chest is heaving from the effort involved.
"Damn," he mutters, breathing heavily. His face is flushed, and his skin is covered in light sweat.
With a proud smirk on his face, he kisses your lips again. he sounds breathless but still maintains that slight arrogance as he speaks to you.
"Three times," he says, smiling widely.
You chuckle softly at his comment, "mhm," is all you can hum in response.
He leans down and kisses you at the base of your neck, then rests against your chest, still catching his breath. As he breathes, you can feel his chest up against yours. His breath continues to slow.
"Well. Looks like I earned those bragging rights."
Jason slowly pulls out. "Sure do," you laugh breathily.
His voice becomes more relaxed as his breath fully returns," Yeah? Am I still allowed to brag about this whenever I want?" he says jokingly, smiling widely still. He holds you close to him by wrapping his arms around your waist.
"You're so cute when you're like this," he mutters with a proud look on his face. You drape your arm over your eyes and carefully unwrap your legs from around his waist.
"Yeah, sure," your voice still breathy as I spoke. You're far too exhausted to move or do anything other than just lay on the bed and catch your breath. he chuckles softly when he sees you lying down.
"You sound worn out." his voice still has a slight tinge of playfulness to it, but it also sounds a little bit more genuine.
He rests his head on your chest, looking up at your face," Did I wear you out?"
"Yeah," you giggle quietly, removing your arm from over your eyes. "I think I know who to go to now if I'm having trouble sleeping," you snicker playfully, feeling like your brain is becoming more functional.
"So I'm your new sleeping pill, then?" he chuckles softly. His voice is still breathless, the edge of arrogance now gone as he relaxes with you.
"Or is it more than that?" he says with a smirk. He lifts his head up and looks at your face, brushing some of your hair out of your face.
"Let's just stick to sleeping pills for now," you chuckle softly. Jason sits up and kisses your forehead softly before going into the bathroom. He returns to my room with a slightly damp towel and a glass of water. Jason's so gentle in his touch as he cleans up my body, letting me sit up against my headboard as I drink the water.
Once he sits you up, you notice how he supports your back and neck as he cleans you. he even holds some of your hair back to clean between your thighs better. His movements are slow and gentle, taking all the needed time. He's in no rush at all.
After he finishes, he sits back down in the bed next to you," Feeling any better?" he asks with a smile, placing the towel by the bed and putting the glass of water on the nightstand.
"Mhm," you nod. "You're too good to me," you chuckle softly. You're not even referring to right now or a couple of moments ago, but just in general. Yes, he had his moods, but Jason was always respectful and good to you as a friend.
"Aw, of course, I am," he chuckles softly. His voice is still breathless, but you can hear its happiness. He puts his hand back on your shoulder gently.
"You're a really great friend, [y/n]. I'm happy to be here for you. And even happier that I got to be here for you tonight."
He smiles at you," You okay to move now, or do you want to relax here for a second?"
"I think if I move, I might fall apart," you chuckle softly, watching as he crawls in the bed beside you. Jason lays down and wraps his arm around your shoulder, pulling you close to him. You rest your head on his shoulder, your arm draping comfortably over his bare waist. His chest moves lightly against your head as he breathes. You hear nothing but content and happy sounds and sighs from him now. he doesn't say anything but moves his free hand onto your back and starts to scratch it gently with his fingernails.
It didn't take long for you to fall asleep; his gentleness and comforting touch were all you needed to be soothed.
Jason lets out a quiet laugh and a happy sigh when he realises you've fallen asleep. His arm is still wrapped around you. He's also resting his head on yours again, and he's still gently scratching your back.

Sorry, just this little ficlet, and then I'll continue taking my break. I actually got some progress made on my WIP . . . Whoops, I accidentally wrote a little bit of smut. It was supposed to be just an accidental kiss.
18+ MINORS DNI
Eddie and Steve were friends. To them, they were like Steve and Robin, bound by trauma whilst being completely platonic. Oh, how very wrong they were. The realization came to them by complete accident. Eddie and his band finally had a gig that had a crowd a lot bigger than the crowd back in Hawkins. Corroded Coffin was playing at a decently sized bar just outside of Indianapolis. Steve and Robin were the only ones who could get away. Well, Robin had happily invited Vickie along with them, too. The three of them cheered when Eddie walked up to the mic and threw up devil horns in their direction. The horns slowly dropped, however, when he saw what they were wearing. All three of them were wearing homemade Corroded Coffin t-shirts, and they were all bright pink. He scowled at them and began to play.
Steve was thrilled to watch him play. He couldn't be more delighted at the sight of his friend ruling the stage. . .fucking owning the stage is what he was doing. Steve’s heart rate skyrocketed as he watched Eddie's long hair flow backward, exposing his throat as he tilted his head back. Eddie's crop top was drenched with sweat, and droplets ran down his stomach. God, Steve wanted to lick it. Wait. . .what? Before he could question that thought, the show ended, and Eddie was leaving the stage. Steve had to go see him.
"You go, we have to pee," Vickie said, her eyes shining.
Steve scoffed and waved them off. He knew exactly what they were going to do. Steve went into the back, only to find that Eddie wasn't with the rest of the band.
"Yeah, Eddie's in the back office there. He's getting out his excess energy. He was scaring Frankie again," Gareth said.
"I am NOT scared of Eddie, asshole," Frankie muttered.
They hadn't been kidding about Eddie's energy levels. He was practically bouncing off the walls when Steve walked into the room. He threw himself into Steve’s arms and hugged him tightly before pulling back. He was beaming like the sun.
"So, what'd you think?" Eddie asked.
"You were awesome, man! If this is what metal sounds like when you play it, then I could listen to it all of the time," Steve said.
Eddie grabbed his face and pressed a hard, grateful kiss to Steve’s lips. When he felt Steve tense up in surprise, he pulled back, his face red.
"Sorry, I don't know where that came from," Eddie said, and Steve gazed at him for a moment, his mouth open.
"Don't be," Steve quickly. "It was a, uh, nice kiss. Very nice."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
"Fuck, I liked it too."
And that's how Steve found himself pressed up against the wall of the office, Eddie's mouth against his in a hungry kiss. God, it felt like Eddie was trying to devour him. Maybe he was, and maybe he wanted to be devoured by him. Was that what that feeling was? Yeah, he knew it. It wasn't any different than when he had strong feelings for a girl, but it was different in a way that felt more final, like he didn't want to kiss anyone else ever again. Maybe that's why he chose to ignore it all these many months that they had spent hanging out together.
Steve moaned as Eddie's hands wandered up his shirt. Eddie cupped his pecs, his thumbs brushing over his nipples and working them as he moved his lips to Steve’s neck. Steve cursed. Suddenly, Eddie's hands were back over his shirt again. They gripped the collar of the shirt tightly as Eddie moved back. He tore the shirt cleanly down the middle.
"Pink, really?" Eddie asked, and Steve grinned wickedly. "I knew you did that shirt on purpose. Bad Boy. Don't worry, I have a couple shirts I brought with me. You can wear one of mine."
Eddie's eyes darkened at the thought of Steve wearing his clothes. He slipped the rest of the shirt off of him before tearing off his own shirt. Steve gripped his hips, pushing him backward until Eddie's legs hit the back of the small couch. Eddie sat down, and Steve straddled him. Steve’s hand dove in between Eddie's legs and cupped Eddie's clothed hard on. Eddie moaned and cursed Steve’s name as he pressed his hand further against him.
"Goddamn it! Fuck you, Steve," Eddie cursed again.
"So, you don't want my hand inside of your pants. . .hand pressed against your hard cock. . .hard just for me, huh?" Steve whispered in his ear.
The image of Eddie with his head tossed back, just like he was now, on stage fueled the fire that was burning inside of Steve. His tight pants were constricting him. They almost hurt.
"Yes! Fuck! I want you to touch me!" Eddie exclaimed and whispered.
Steve unbuttoned his own pants before doing the same with Eddie's. He wanted to stroke their dicks at the same time. Once this fire was lit, it seemed difficult to put out. Steve had slipped his hand into Eddie's pants when the door burst open. Robin came in with Vickie. Everyone froze. Robin stared at Steve and Eddie. They stared back at her while Vickie backed away slowly out of the room.
"This is exactly what it looks like," Eddie said, Steve’s hand still down his pants.
"What the hell?! I thought the three of us were all platonic with a capital p!" Robin exclaimed.
"Sorry," Steve said, not looking sorry at all.
"It's alright," Robin said softly. "I'll forgive you since you're being queer and all. Eddie finish getting fucked by my best friend and buys us some drinks. You owe us for scarring my girlfriend."
"I'm not scarred! I think it's great! I just didn't want to see it!" Vickie hollered.
"Bless her, she's delusional," Robin said and backed out of the room.
"Tell Gareth to bring us some shirts!" Eddie hollered.
Steve climbed off Eddie, laughing with them as he collapsed next to him.
"Ugh, she ruined the mood," Steve complained.
"Yeah. . .so, queer, huh?" Eddie asked.
"Well, what we did definitely wasn't straight," Steve said and they laughed.
The door opened and Gareth came in with his eyes shut.
"Robin said that I should close my eyes because there's something scary going on in here. Eddie. . .did you really try and fight Steve? We told you before you can't take him," Gareth said. "Even in a hypothetical fight."
Eddie scowled and crossed his arms while Steve struggled to contain his laughter. He watched with a fond smile as Eddie pouted, his bottom lip jutting out. He had really been buried deep in his denial because how could he have possibly thought that he and Eddie were just friends?

my ramblings on transness, intersex-ness, childhood and growing up
i'm four. somewhere around there. i tell my mom i hate my name. i want to change it to robin, i say. she tells me i can when i'm an adult. i tell her i want my name to be robin now, today. not later. i don't get to change my name. eventually i forget wanting to be robin, or drop it, or stop talking about it. either way, i don't ever get to be robin.
i'm five. i feel wrong. i feel out of place in my own skin, i think. i feel like a poor shadow of a girl. i decide i want to be a princess when i'm older. in my mind, to be a princess, i need to wear a dress every day, even when it snows and i have to stuff the skirt into my snowpants to play outside. princesses must feel like real girls. if i was a princess, i would stop feeling like a snake writhing around in my own skin, desperate to shed. i tell myself that. at recess, we play some running game. i don't remember which one. boys vs girls. i don't want to play anymore.
i'm six or seven. i still feel wrong. i've stopped trying to be a princess. i'm off in my own world a lot of the time. i use the classroom scissors to cut tiny holes in the sleeves of my long sleeve shirts or to clip off a tiny chunk of my hair. during carpet time, i try to touch the hair of the people in front of me without them noticing. my best friend tells me she's a tomboy. i say i want to be one too. she tells me im too girly.
i'm nine. i've sworn off dresses. i reject pink clothes and sequins. i'm wearing a hat that covers my hair and the school custodian calls me young man in the hallway. i don't know why i like that so much. i try to fit in with the boys. i play grounders with them every day after school. i don't know why, but they don't like me. they make fun of me. i still play grounders with them every day.
i'm twelve. the girls around me have started growing breasts and getting their periods. they start getting acne and thicker hair on their legs that they shave off. none of these things are happening to me. i ask my mom for a bra. i don't want to be the odd one out. i feel a mix of relief and shame when i get one. now, i can pretend i'm like them. now, i can try to hide the growing feeling gnawing inside me that something's wrong, that i'm a freak.
i'm thirteen. i still haven't gotten a period. my mom is convinced it'll come any day now. she got hers at eleven, i must be a late bloomer. she makes me bring pads to summer camp. they lie unused in my bags. she does this next year, too, and the next. i try to feel normal. i sneak and use my mom's razor to shave the baby hairs on my legs that still haven't darkened and grown thicker like anyone else. i want to feel normal.
i'm fourteen. the girls in the locker room stare at me with funny expressions on their faces when i say i haven't gotten a period after they badger that information out of me. i ask my parents for deodorant, like the other kids. they tell me no, i don't smell enough to need it. i steal my dad's old spice amber deodorant. it smells like how i want to be seen, i think. i read magnus chase. i see myself in alex, how his gender shifts and changes. for the first time, i have a word, maybe, to describe myself. i'm like her, i think. i'm genderfluid, maybe, like alex fierro. i test the waters and come out to some friends as genderfluid, and then a boy. but i find myself still feeling the same itch under my skin. i'm not just a man, or just a woman, maybe i'm both. i go back in the closet.
i'm fifteen. my doctor is starting to get concerned that i haven't gotten a period yet. he orders blood tests. they think the results are a mistake when they see the testosterone levels. i don't have the symptoms that should come with those levels. i should be going through a male puberty with those levels of t, but i'm not. they do them again. it comes back the same. i'm diagnosed with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome. i feel alone, and like a freak. my doctors want me to get a gonadectomy. i push away how i feel like a snake ready to shed my own skin for a moment. i can't search myself for my gender when i'm trying, i'm trying so hard to get through this. knowing that going on testosterone hrt wouldn't work on me, it would break me right now to admit to myself the truth i already know.
i'm sixteen. i'm sexually assaulted by my doctor while under anesthesia for a biopsy of my gonads. without any hint of remorse or even knowledge of what she did to me she tells my mom that my vagina is still very short, but not as short as she thought on an earlier examination. i will continue to see this doctor. i push her assault down. i push this down. i feel like a freak. i feel so alone. god, i feel alone.
i'm seventeen, i'm eighteen. i know now why i feel like a snake trying to shed a skin. i'm not just a woman, i'm not just a man. i'm both and something in between. but i'm too male to be a girl and too female to be a man. i'm not allowed to be either. i cry sometimes. over how unfair this feels. over how i'll never look in the mirror and see myself staring back. i don't know how i'll get through this. i have to get through this. i have to live for the kid who wanted to change his name to robin. the need to live for her weighs me down like atlas holding up the sky. i know that one day, my grip will slip and the sky will fall. but i'm trying desperately to make that day not today.

The door to the aquarium bar bursts open, a gasp leaves your lips as your head shoots up form Luffy's neck where you had just been crying to see Sanji at the door. He was slightly hurt but wearing a shirt that was way too big for him and some sweatpants, his hair was a mess, and he had no shoes on but it was Sanji. The crew look at him dumbfounded before looking at the beaten up man on the floor, two Sanji's? "Are any of you hurt?" Sanji asks looking around the room noticing the beat up body on the floor, his eyes widening before looking at Zoro whose shirt and hands are covered in blood while Robin was restraining him with the help of Franky "I'm gonna kick your ass cook" Zoro yells seeming to be the only one who hasn't noticed the situation until Franky grabs the swordsman head and turns it to look at the door, Zoro's eyes widen as he looks over the panting and rough looking cook that just entered before looking at the body on the floor then back again. Sanji's eyes lock with Zoro's knowing there is only two things that can make the swordsman so mad he would almost kill one of the crew, the cooks eyes turn to look at you and Luffy. "Sanji?" Luffy asks wondering if he was tricked again by another look alike but it seems the rest of you were also seeing what he was seeing. Sanji's eyes seemed to lock on yours noticing the slight fear and tear stained face, anxiety rose in him hoping the other him didn't hurt you. "Oh! Y/N, did he hurt you? i'm so sorry" The cook's eyes widen, but he didn't get too close in fear of scaring you.
"What's going on?" You ask turning your head to look at Nami next to you who seemed to be too shocked to speak then to Luffy who holds you a little tighter sensing your anxiety rise. As the other members of the crew start to snap out of their shock Choppers the first to freak out, jumping up and away form the body on the floor as he looks the two Sanji's over "T-there's two Sanji's?" Chopper yells seeming to make Usopp panic too only to raise his eyebrow in confusion when something sticky and wet starts pooling form under the body. The sniper screams slightly and grabs Chopper before getting away form the now melting body getting the rest of the crew's attention. You gasp along with Nami stepping away form it as Luffy pulls you both away form the pooling white and bloodied red liquid, Brook runs over having to drag Usopp and Chopper way who have backed themselves into a corner. "What's going o?n" Nami yells in anger turning her attention to Sanji who jumps a little at her tone of voice, the cook sighs trying to calm his nerves while rubbing the back of his head "There's a lot to explain, we should stay away form it for now" Sanji then turns to Zoro who's still in shock and a little angry as Robin bends down and places a hand on the swordsman's shoulder "please don't fight" she whispers feeling that Zoro is still very tense.
With everyone in the kitchen you sit on the sofa in between Zoro and Luffy, Zoro still wouldn't let the cook near you but you were grateful for that since you still have no idea what is going on and why Sanji or who you thought was Sanji acted the way he did. Luffy holds your hand giving your knuckles gentle rubs with his thumb as his head lies on your shoulder, the swordsman kept an arm around you while his eyes were glued to the cook who was making drinks for everyone in the kitchen. Before you all gathered in the kitchen Zoro left you with Luffy to get a change of clothes and wash the blood of his hands but even though you felt safe with the captain you couldn't speak as what happened played over and over again in your head. You couldn't help but think what you might have done wrong or if you had said something to make him act like this. "I'm sorry, i should have kept my eye on you" Zoro sighs placing a kiss on your head trying to comfort you, leaning into him you shake your head not wanting him to feel guilty "It's not your fault Hun, maybe i should have said something sooner or not wear that bikini or" Luffy stops you by placing a kiss on your cheek and squeezing your hand while the other goes to your cheek forcing your face to look at him "none of this is your fault, i don't want to hear you blame yourself for something you didn't do" The seriousness in his voice and face made you believe every word.
Zoro nods agreeing with the captain and runs his hand through your hair "It's ok now baby, its over" you try to relax as the two hold you on the sofa, Sanji starts handing out the drinks but stops when it comes to the three of you on the sofa. "Do you want me to leave them on the table?" The cook asks not wanting to overstep, it was so different form the other Sanji but it didn't make you feel any better, Zoro give a nod watching the cook put the drinks down on the coffee table next to Luffy then backing away to sit at the dinning table with the others. Luffy handed you and Zoro your drinks before taking his own, the hot cup of tea felt nice in your cold hands, it was still warm outside but after everything that happened you felt tired and cold. "So what's going on?" Nami asks leaning back in her chair as he looks over at Sanji hoping to now get an answer from the cook, Sanji took a quick sip of his drink before putting a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it. "As i was shopping on the island we were at yesterday there were a bunch of guys trying to drag a lady away so i got involved, one of them stabbed me with a needle though and i passed out." The cook rubs his shoulder where he must have been injected, it was most likely a sedative. "When i came too i was in a strange room attached to a chair, next to me was a white thing... it looked like a man but had no features or clothes." Usopp, Brook and Chopper hold onto each other as they slightly panic "A ghost?" the three yell earning a laugh form Sanji but a angry glare form Nami making the three stop their yelling.
Sanji takes a drag of his cigarette before continuing "No it wasn't a ghost, i honestly don't know what it is, but they took some of my blood and injected it into the thing. It changed to look exactly like me, it took my clothes and my stuff before a bunch of men came in" Robin nods her head and puts a finger on her chin "Its most likely some kind of clone, it looks and acts like you but what it did in the bar wasn't like you at all" Zoro growls at this wondering if the clone did and said stuff that the real Sanji is too scared to do, looking up at the swordsman you understand what he's thinking but you place your hand on his leg and rub it slightly trying to calm him down. Zoro sighs hating how your trying to comfort him while he should be doing that for you so he takes your hand and brings it to his chest holding it over his heart, you can't help but smile when his eyes meet yours. The boy's heart beats always has a way of calming you down, feeling his heart beat against the palm of your hand helps you to relax a bit before turning your attention back to the table. "How did you get out?" Brook asks sipping on his tea earning a long sigh from the cook who runs his hand through his messy hair, "After the drugs wore off i managed to fight my way out of there and find some clothes, when i got to the dock and sore the Sunny gone i... I stole a boat"
Sanji didn't seem to happy about having to steal but a small smile on Nami's face cheered him up a bit. "if it's a clone then why did it act like that in the bar?" Chopper sits back pondering but the question makes you grip your cup tighter, Luffy lifts his head off your shoulder to check if your ok as the room goes quiet. Sanji's eyes turn to you, he hated not knowing what happened, but he also didn't want to force you into saying it or listening too it "I'm sorry for what ever happened, what ever it did i-i would never do" The cook bows his head at you hoping you won't think bad of him but after seeing Zoro and Luffy both pissed and his bloodies and battered clone on the floor made him think of all the worst things possible. Looking up form the floor you scan the cook, you wanted to say it was ok but you couldn't speak, not to him and not right now. Zoro squeezes your hand thats on his chest while kissing your head trying to comfort you, Luffy sighs and leans back against the sofa "It wasn't you Sanji" The captain speaks getting everyone's attention, with slight anger in his eyes Luffy leans forward resting his chin on his fist "I don't like people messing with my crew" Looking over at Luffy you sigh knowing your all probably going to get into another fight with pirates or something, Zoro lets out a small chuckle along with Robin and Franky but Usopp stands up form his seat "w-wait, we're going after these guys? what if they make clones of us too?" The sniper freaks out a bit but Sanji places a hand on his shoulder and shakes his head.
Nami stands from her seat moving some hair out of her face "We'll set off tomorrow for now can someone please clean up the mess in the bar. I'm heading to bed" The Navigator sighs before looking at you "You should get some sleep too" Nami gives you a small smile before she walks out of the kitchen soon followed by Franky, Usopp and Chopper who go to deal with the mess in the bar. Luffy smiles glad that everyone is on his side but turns his head to you hoping your ok with this, placing your hand on his cheek you lean in and place a kiss on his cheek making him smile wider. Robin stands and pats Brook on the back before pointing to the door, a subtle way of telling him to leave the four of you to talk. After the two leave Zoro rubs your arm before turning his attention to Sanji who stands at the other side of the table while rubbing his arm. "It's ok if you don't want to talk about it but... I'd like to know what i did... i mean i know its bad since you beat shit out of it Zoro" A nervous laugh escapes the blondes mouth as his eyes stare at the table in front of him, looking at the cook you can tell he's upset and worried, so different form the Sanji that wouldn't let you go. "You acted a little weird at first but over the day it just got worse" You sigh feeling Zoro squeeze your hand and pull you closer to him, Luffy rubs your leg as he looks up at Sanji. The cook sighs and sits down hoping to know more than that, but he doubted it since your eyes were welling up with tears again.
Zoro turns his attention to the cook "You were very handsy, touchy and affectionate even when Y/N said no, even though Luffy raided the pantry last night you refused to feed him snacks and became overly snappy when he asked for food." The swordsman explains making the captain pout and lean back "In my defense the pantry wasn't locked" you can't help but laugh at Luffy who crosses his arms over his chest and pouts like a child, Sanji raises an eyebrow knowing he always locks the pantry after dinner so for it to be unlocked was so unlike him. "What happened in the bar?" Sanji asks his eyes meeting your for the first time, you felt a lot better about things now, it finally sinking in that the person who made you feel so bad wasn't Sanji. "I was making Luffy's drink and you came over. You - it helped me but then it started making suggestive comments and... when i brought it up it acted so nice and i though you understood but then you grabbed me and-and pushed me against the wall...." Covering your mouth with your hand you try not to cry again, it was scary what happened and the fact that you were too scared and frozen to yell or push him off until it went way too far made things worse. Zoro places his hand on your cheek and guides it to his chest where you cling to him, Luffy stretches his arms out to wrap around the two of you while placing his chin on your shoulder "Its all over now Y/N, it's ok" The captain tries to comfort you as Zoro strokes your hair and kisses your head.
Sanji shakes as he listens and watches your reaction, he would never dream of doing that to you or any other girl, he never wants to make any girl feel uncomfortable or scared of him. Standing out of his seat the cook makes his way around the table earning a glare form Zoro since he didn't want him to get too close but to everyone surprise Sanji gets on his knees and bows with forehead touching the floor. "I'm so sorry Y/N, please forgive me" Sanji yells as he grits his teeth, your eyes shoot open at his words, Luffy smiles down at the cook knowing that you and Sanji both need this so when Zoro goes to yell at the blonde Luffy places a hand over swordsman's mouth. Sitting up you wipe your tears off your cheeks while looking down at the cook, "I-it wasn't you though" you sniffle a little but Sanji shakes his head staying where he is "I don't matter, someone who looked like me did that to you and i'm so sorry." Reaching a shaky hand out you place it on his head, but he didn't move or look up at you, relief washed over you no longer feeling scared of your friend and crew mate "it's ok... I think i just need space for a little while" You sigh pulling your hand away as the cook lifts his head up slowly as not to scare you, a smile appears on his face as he nods "Of course" The cook stands and steps back making Zoro finally relax, Luffy pulls his hand off Zoro's mouth before standing "Hay Sanji... can i have a snack?" The cook lets out a chuckle at his captain and nods heading to the kitchen.
Zoro pulls you back into him by your waist and kisses your neck "You ok baby?" The swordsman asks as you relax into him and put your feet up on the sofa "Yea hunk... thank you" turning you put your hand on his cheek to lift his head up form your neck so you can place your lips on his, Zoro smiles into the kiss as Luffy flops into the sofa next to you. Pulling away you gently rub your thumb over his cheek before turning to your captain only to see his not too happy face. "Next time just tell me if somethings wrong" You sigh and nod your head but the slight pout and angry look remains on his face "that goes for you too Zoro" The swordsman jumps a little and rubs the back of his head, its rare for him to be scolded by his captain so when it happens he knows he's in the dog house. "Sorry" you and Zoro say in unison as Sanji comes back over with a tray of cakes, he places them on the coffee table making sure to keep some distance between you and him before bowing "I'm gonna lock up and then head to bed, do you need anything before i do?" The cook asks looking over the three of you, Zoro lets a cocky smile show making Sanji sigh knowing exactly what the swordsman wants so heads off into the pantry. After locking up the cook hands a large bottle of sake to Zoro before heading out the kitchen "Good night" Luffy yells out while stuffing his face full of cake and Zoro drinks his sake. Leaning into Zoro you let out a relaxed sigh as his arm goes around your waist, Luffy leans back into you and holds up a cupcake "You want it?" The captain asks with a big smile.
Smiling back you lean forward and lick the frosting, Luffy watching your every move with a smile, your acting more confident now that things are over, and he's loving it. You go to lick the frosting again when the captain pulls the cupcake away form you watching as you raise an eyebrow at him, Luffy puts the cupcake down before turning to you and crashing his lips onto yours, his tongue licking your lower lip before trying to shove it into your mouth. The sudden forceful kiss catches you off guard but you soon relax into it and open your mouth for him while letting out a small hum of satisfaction, Luffy smiles into it turn his body, so he can straddle your lap deepening the kiss. Zoro lets out a laugh after taking a drink of Sake enjoying the sight of his needy captain, the swordsman leans down and places kisses on your neck and shoulder while his hands go to Luffy's hips pulling him closer to squish you in between them. Your hands glide up to Luffy's chest pushing slightly to tell him you need air so the captain parts his lips from yours leaving a small string of saliva between the two of you as you both pant. Zoro smiles removing his head from your neck to look at your red faces before running his hand up his captains side and to his cheek pulling him in for a kiss, their lips meet but with both of them being eager their lips part to let their tongues meet. With the captain leaning over you to get to Zoro your face to face with the scar on his chest, you can't help but give it a light kiss making your captain moan a little so you keep going giving the large scar light long kisses.
Zoro groans into the kiss letting his tongue get pinned down for once by the needy captain whose hands are now in the swordsman's hair keeping their lips together as if it was his life line. Luffy soon pulls away panting but keeping their faces close trying to calm his breathing down from the long make out session and the way your kissing his chest. You didn't stop kissing the captain's chest even when he leaned back a bit to look down at you with a large smile, Zoro lets out a small laugh taking another drink of Sake before placing a hand under your chin and forcing you to look up, moving you to the side slightly the swordsman leans down and places a kiss on your lips before biting your lower lip. Opening your mouth Zoro's quick to crash his lips onto yours shoving his tongue into your mouth and running it over yours as his arm holds you in place, Luffy leans down and kisses the front of your neck since its well exposed making you hum. Reaching your hand up you run your fingers through his green hair before gripping it slightly so you can lean up and into the kiss moving your tongue to try and dominate a little, Zoro groans at this liking your confidence, but he wasn't going to let you win. Luffy pulls away form your neck seeing the two of you fighting for control, the captain leans over to Zoro placing kisses on his neck before biting his sensitive spots hoping to give you a helping hand. The swordsman grabs Luffy's hair trying to pull him off but it doesn't work especially when the captain bites just the light spot earning a moan, taking the opportunity you manage to take control shoving Zoro's tongue back into his own mouth as you explore his.
After a while of making out you pull away with a smile and panting for breath, Luffy pulls away too laughing at Zoro's bright red face before wrapping his arms around the two of you "That was fun" The captain laughs as he looks down at you, nodding you lean up and kiss his cheek "Thanks for the help captain" you whisper in his ear earning a laugh, Zoro groans and runs a hand over his face before grabbing his bottle of Sake and taking a big drink "I hate you both" The swordsman mumbles after shaking his bottle a little getting annoyed that its empty already, Leaning back against him you let out a giggle "You enjoyed it, just look at your face" reaching up you touch his red and flaming hot cheek, Luffy nods agreeing with you before getting off your lap, so he can lay in between your legs and place his head on your chest "You look so cute when all red" Luffy laughs earning a groan and a glare form Zoro "I love you Zo" The captain looks up with a smile as the swordsman sighs throwing his head back and putting his bottle down to wrap his arms around the two of you "Yea.... I love you too my captain" The swordsman sighs, Luffy shifts his eyes to you before nuzzling into your chest "I love you muffin" your heart almost skips a beat at the nickname but you run your hand thought his hair and down his back "I love you too my king" placing a kiss on his head you look up at Zoro who still has his head thrown back with slightly red cheeks "I love you Hunk" The swordsman finally looks at you his eyes meeting yours "I love you too baby" leaning down he places a kiss on your temple lingering a little to saver the moment.

bad habit love
Bad habit love Eddie Munson x best friend fem reader
Based of song

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You and eddie have been best friends for years you've always loved him and he always loved you but neither of you knew And you both go to high-school and prom is coming up.
"Princess?!" The messy haired metal head said while waving his ringed hand back and forth in front of your face "What? Edds" You said "well love we were in the middle of a conversation then you dozed off" "oh. Sorry eddie what were we talking about?" He chuckles to himself "i said are you coming to dnd tonight?" You shake your head no "sorry eds i got some homework thats due" you grabbed your books from your locker and walked away. Eddie follows you "no problem ill see ya afterwards though? Cause i found a new horror movie we could watch" he smirks "Yeah sounds good at your place " you wink at him "okay ill be of hellfire at 5 so just wait for me " he says running off He's always had a charm about him . He goes to hellfire club but then Mike brought in your replacement for the night Chrissy cunningham she liked eddie so of course she flirted with him he was skeptical at first because of his feelings for you but he knew you don't like him that way so he asked her to prom afterwards. . It's 5:10 and no eddie to be found You sighed "nerd club probably is just lasting longer then usually" Robin said to you. "Yeah probably… go ahead eddie will be out eventually" 5:40 you go back in the school and you see eddie and chrissy talking in the halls he looks to almost be out but you can't help but get upset. Jealous. Hurt. Sad. So you just decided to walk home. Well run home Eddie walks out of the school wondering where the hell you are then he checked the time 6:00 "fuck munson get it together" she probably got a ride home from Robin.. he thought to himself… he gets in his van and drives down the road then he saw you walking on the sidewalk to your house he pulls over and got out "Princess?" He says walking up to you "Eddie?" "Princess why are you walking home this late alone?" "Well umm….. i just decided to" "Why?….." he looks at you concerned "Well you were late and i didn't want it to get any darker so i just walked." "Im sorry my sweetheart. Do you still want to watch the movie or?" "Eddie im tired take me home" you kinda snapped at him But you were trying not to cry infront of him and just seeing him makes you want to cry.
The next day: You wake up and put on your ripped black jeans with a hellfire t shirt that you ripped into a tank top and put on your eyeliner and waited for eddie to pick you up 5 minutes later he pulled up "looking good Princess" he winks. But you rolled your eyes and couldn't help but smirk a little Last night you just accepted the fact that of course eddie would want the cheerleader not some nerdy girl he is friends with. Silence the whole ride to school He got out and opened your door "so you going to steves party tonight?" "I thought i might.. robin wanted me to" "Well now that you're going i will be there .ill give you the ride" "Yeah but first you'd have to take me to my house to get ready beforehand" "alright"
After school eddie is waiting for you to co.e out of your house Then you did wearing a pretty little black dress with layered necklaces and combat boots "R-ready gorgeous?" "Yep" eddie is wearing a black button up with the top button undone. Damn he's so sexy without even trying
At the party: Outside at the pool side This fucking asshole has been chatting about something stupid for hours and eddie is chatting with chrissy and you've had a couple beers And you got hit by a heat wave you grab the asshole infront of you Jason carver and you throw you and him in the pool Eddie sees as you come up his hands all over your soaked body the dress clinging to you and the dress lid down just enough to reveal the color of your red bra Jason picked you up and puts you on the ledge of the pool and trys to slide your dress farther down until eddie picked you up like a bride and carried you to his van "fucking asshole" he mumbles he puts you in the passenger side and got in the driver seat "fuck Princess what has gotten into you. Youve been distant and You got drunk and started to come on to jason come on you know someone like his is gonna take advantage of you when you're like that" "like what eddie?!" "Well when you get drunk you kinda get……….horney…..and usually you come at me with it not some stupid asshole Cause i know you.. you dont mean it so im okay with it but not when you go to someone else" "not like it matters eddie you dont care " "i do care because i dont want someone to hurt you you're my best friend…" "yeah well you were distracted with chrissy so i didnt come to you " You thought about telling eddie. He already hurt you so no more damage can be done at this point He took you to his trailer so he could take care of you. He picks you up and carries you in. Of course wayne works at night so that wouldn't be a problem. Eddie set you on his bed and tossed you a shirt one of his then he turned around as you took that dress off and put the shirt on. And it hit you eddie probably will do this with chrissy. Will probably put his hands on her and then tears start running down your face… Eddie turns around. "S-sweetheart why…. are you crying….?" You smile "i-i im not its fine…." "Princess..? What's wrong?" He sits next to you not knowing he's the one making you cry "eddie i think im just tired" he knew you weren't just tired you lied he thought Jason carver what did you do to her You and eddie just lay next to eachother for the hundredth time of course because of you and eddies late movie nights
Day of prom: You wake up remembering everything of course eddies not next to you but then you hear a girl voice coming from his living room then you hear him "well i'll see ya at prom bye chrissy" "then you needed to escape so like any normal person you put your boots on and climbed out his bedroom window and walked your ass home still in Eddie's shirt. "Fuck" you whispered looking in your bedroom mirror You hear ringing and you awnser "y/n you going to prom its robin ya know your other best friend " "fuck i dont have a dress that isnt at eddies house" "okay well take a shower ill be there to go dress shopping" . After dress shopping: you bought yourself a nice red dress sure to wow everyone not just eddie…red his favorite color… but also yours.. you did your makeup and you were ready . Prom: robin and her girlfriend gave you a ride then ran off and disappeared… and you were alone. No date. No friend even then eddie walked through the door he had a black suit with a blood red tie just as you imagined and his arm around chrissy she's wearing a short blue dress she's stunning and it killed you cause you know what happens prom night…. you walk to the one person you know has forbidden alcohol Gareth eddies band dnd friend you never really talked but you and him had a type of brother sister complex "i need the strong stuff " you say handing him a 10 dollar bill "Fine ill let you have a discount this time" He usually charged 20 dollars but this time you got lucky. You fucking chugged the small bottle of alcohol tiny enough to fit in your purse. Then eddie saw you as he was walking to the punch with 2 red solo cups "Sweetheart what the hell happened youve been weird lately like avoiding me and shit " "eddie im fine you probably need the free time " then Jason walked through the door and eddie still thought he might of did something to you so he rushed him grabbing the collar of Jason carvers shirt " what did you do to her?!" "Look freak i didnt do anything to your girlfriend." "Shes not my girlfriend shes my friend now what did you do" chrissy watching looks horrified "EDDIE jason did nothing to me i promise" eddie looks at you and then let go of jason "then what… what is it?" "Eddie j-just enjoy your prom im fine…" your voice broke as you started to cry and ran away out the school doors You walked outside and just sat on the sidewalk and cried "Sweetheart? Please tell me whats wrong " he tilts your head to look in his eyes as he is seated next to you. His eyes were dark and worried "look eddie i have had feelings for you this whole fucking time.. i know you dont feel that way about me but ive always been fucking stupid… i kinda thought maybe you'd ask me to prom but you asked chrissy cunningham the pretty cheerleader… i-i cant blame you im just a nerdy girl you hang out with cause you're bored…." He looks at you his eyes looking at you intensely "Princess i didnt know you felt like this Why The hell would you!? Your beautiful, smart, funny, and hot as hell why would you want the freak? I-i didnt know you were an option" "an option?" You look at him annoyed "no i mean i didnt know i could be with you if it did i-i" he grabbed your waist and leaned you down and climbed on top of you " i would have done this sooner" he kissed you softly but needy And you kissed him back "Princess i love you" his metal rings on your coverd waist made you feel warm and fuzzy "Eddie!" You squealed as he took you to his van in a swift movement and he hopped in passenger and put you on his lap "I wish I knew you wanted me. my girlfriend ?" "Yes eddie im yours all yours"

Prompt: Horse (Discord Drabble) haven't done one of these in like a week. i'm back with a very silly Fruity Four-centric one. aaand it's too long, as per usual.
When Nancy agreed to accept some help with packing up her room for college, she didn't think that meant refereeing Robin and Eddie fighting over the contents of her wardrobe.
Thankfully, she'd already set aside the clothes she would be taking with her.
Exactly why Eddie (whose lightest coloured piece of clothing is a Hellfire shirt) and Robin (wearer of only the most oversized clothes) are snatching a baby pink cardigan back and forward, she'll never know.
Steve isn't helping, either. He isn't helping at all, really. In fact, he is currently mimicking the incoherent squabbling via Nancy's favourite teddy bear as he lounges on her bed.
"Why would you need this?" Robin demands, taking the cardigan back.
Before Eddie can answer, Nancy decides to dump the bottom drawer of her dresser on the end of the bed. The mattress bounces and Steve yelps as his silly pantomime is interrupted.
"How about you actually help me with this one?" she says, forcing a smile.
The pair turn their attention to the drawer and Robin tosses the cardigan at Steve, who hasn't so much manned the clothes as he has gradually scattered the separated piles.
"Can I have this one, please?" Eddie soon asks.
He unfurls a pastel purple t-shirt emblazoned with a white horse. The animal is surrounded by silver clouds, a rainbow and pink sequins that have loosened from extensive wear years back.
He shoots a glance at Robin, who is busy tossing old t-shirts she likely doesn't want from the drawer off towards the doorway.
"Sparkles," Eddie hisses, giving a far too cherubic smile.
"Fine," Nancy says, waving her hand.
At least he bothered with some manners this time!
"Were you a horse girl?" Robin grins, now paying attention as she lazily points to the image Eddie is now smoothing over his front.
"Major horse girl," Steve says, rolling his eyes as he slumps back on the bed and sends a bag of old shoes toppling onto the floor.
Eddie moves to the desk, the only spot in her room Nancy is waiting to pack up at the last possible moment and retrieves a pair of scissors.
"What are you doing!" she whines.
Can't he save the tailoring for when he gets home!
"I don't want this for the sleeves," Eddie snaps over his shoulder, sounding utterly offended as he continues cutting, "Or the bottom, really."
And so he rips the bottom off, tosses it on the desk and removes his black t-shirt, hurling it at Steve's head. Steve doesn't catch it as he gawks at the sight of Eddie wrestling on his too-tight, new-old (and now, mangled) horse shirt.
"Keep it together, Dingus," Robin quips, launching herself onto the bed which tips the drawer over.

This chapter is a little short, but I hope it's not too bad! You can expect an explanation of the situation with Chrissy in the next chapter, I hope you don't feel discouraged by it. Moreover, I apologize for the poor attempt to write smut, writing such things is still new to me

When you woke up it was still dark. It couldn't have been earlier than 2 am. His arm hugged you around the waist and from behind you you could hear quiet snoring. Feeling like you were thirsty, you slowly released yourself from the embrace and dressed some old Eddie's T-shirt that was lying on the floor by the dresser. Somewhere in the darkness you also managed to find your panties on the floor among the rest of the clothes scattered on it. The night was pleasantly quiet and peaceful. No screams or sudden noises or crackling. Just the quiet hum of the wind. Leaving the room you went down to the kitchen and poured two glasses of water, you knew that when Eddie woke up he would whine that he was thirsty. When you returned he was lying on his back snoring even louder. You just smiled and shook your head. You remembered how at the beginning of your relationship, during your first nights together, this snoring was unbearable. You were able to wake up several times in one night and then him only to have him roll over on his side, because then at least he didn't sound like an old tractor. Who would have thought that one day you would miss it. Despite the fact that he was at your fingertips you already felt a longing that crushed your heart. The thought that this was your last night together was like a death sentence. It was the last time you could feel the warmth of his body and hear his voice directed only to you.
When Eddie recovered fully from his experiences in the Upside Down Dr. Owens activated some of his connections and managed to get Corroded Coffin a contract with one of the music labels in New York. Without a second thought, they immediately accepted the offer. It was the fulfillment of their dreams. For you and Robin, he managed to ensure a place at the University of California, which you also agreed to, knowing that this was your only chance to escape Hawkins and if it weren't for this you probably would never have been able to afford college in your lives. Steve, to everyone's surprise, turned down the offer to go to college. Instead, with a little help from Owens, he managed to open a bar on the beach in California, which very quickly became one of the most popular.
Thus, a new door opened before you, but it led to two opposite ends. You loved Eddie with all your heart, so no matter how much it hurt you wanted him to realize his dreams, to enjoy life as much as he could, so after many hours of conversations, you both came to the conclusion that you would take a break. You didn't want to be the reason he had to limit himself, and you also preferred to avoid situations that could get out of hand if you still stayed together and tried a long-distance relationship. You wanted him to have a full rockstar experience. Never in your life would you want to be the reason why he should regret holding back from something solely because of you. So this solution seemed to be the most reasonable for you.
"Babe?" his sleepy voice snapped you out of your reverie.
"I'm here, I went to get water, you want some?" you asked handing him a second glass.
"You are wearing my old clothes." he said taking a sip.
"Do you want them back?" you asked raising an eyebrow.
"You wear them better." he replied smiling charmingly.
"Today is a full moon, maybe that's why I can't sleep." you said looking at the open window from which you could see the moon. "The moon looks beautiful."
"Sweetheart, every time I see your face, the moon should be jealous."
"Charming as always." You laughed quietly and sat next to him on the bed. "I'm gonna miss you so much." you whispered while placing your hand on his cheek. "So fucking much."
"I will miss you too." he took a deep breath, closing his eyes. "Don't forget me please."
"I will never forget you Eddie Munson. How can I forget someone I gave my heart to?"
"I love you. You and only you. Remember about it, always, no matter what happens..." he grabbed your hand and placed it on his chest. You felt a gentle, rhythmic beating under your palm. "...It beats only for you. No one else. Only for you."
Was that possible? Despite the fact that somewhere out there in the world there were millions of beautiful fans waiting for him, ready to do a lot to be at his side, could his heart still remain yours?
"I know what you're thinking about baby." he took your chin and directed you so that you were looking straight into his eyes. "This will only be a temporary break, we'll both get a little fun, I'm sure you'll make more than one surfer or nerd's head spin." he laughed.
"Eddie!" you playfully jabbed him in the arm.
"What? Have fun babe, because sooner or later you're going to have to break all their hearts when we find each other again, because your heart belongs to me and mine belongs to you. This is not a forever goodbye baby. Only temporary." You wanted to be as sure of all this as he was. You also struggled to hold back the urge to give up your college just to fly with him to New York, but that wasn't a good idea. Your presence in this adventure would only be a limitation. "Besides, I won't let you forget about me, I'll call you every hour just to tell you that I'm losing my mind without you." He pulled you closer by smacking you on the lips. "You are the love of my life, nothing will change that. After I finish my first tour, the first thing I'll do is buy Wayne the little house he's always dreamed of." he chuckled. "And when the second one is over, I will immediately get on a plane and fly straight to California, buy a ring with the most beautiful diamond in the world and put it on your finger, of course, if you agree." He kissed you on the forehead. His dreams were beautiful, you were glad that you were still a part of them however you couldn't stop the thought that this vision was too beautiful to be true.
"I have something for you..." you said with difficulty holding back tears. "I wanted to give it to you tomorrow at the airport, but..." You went to the drawer from which you took out a small box. Returning to your seat you sat down opposite him and handed it to him. Inside there was a new necklace waiting for him with a guitar pick that had your initials on it, one side was his and the other was yours.
"Baby..." he whispered, only then did you notice that tears were also gathering in his eyes.
"Before you put on..." you took off the ring you received from your parents for your eighteenth birthday from your hand. It was one of your favorites, it looked like the usual, a simple silver circle but sentimental significance was huge. You took the chain and gently slipped the ring over it.
"But it's your favorite, you can't-." he said still looking at the gift.
"I want you to have it, plus you said you would give me a new one in a while, so..." you smiled slightly.
"Does that mean you say yes?" he grinned.
"Of course I do silly. How could I not?"
"Help me put it on." he said turning his back to you.
"Even if the only thing that keep us apart is seven thousand miles, I want you to remember that your home is in my heart." you said looking at the necklace as he turned to face you.
"Come here." He grabbed you by the wrist and pulled you close so that you were now sitting on top of him with your arms around his neck. "I love you. I love you to the point of madness." he said kissing you. The kiss was needy. The clothes you were wearing were on the floor again, both of you in need of intimacy.
His hot lips placed kisses along your neck going to your breasts, his hands wandered over your body wanting to remember every little detail.
"I love you Eddie." You moaned right in his ear.
"And I love you. Only you. You and olny you, my sweet angel." he replied embracing you tightly around the waist and tipping you over so that you were now under him.
"Baby, please." you said looking straight into his eyes. "I need you as close to me as possible."
"Me too, sweet girl." He leaned in to kiss you, and after a moment he filled you with all of himself. "You are so perfect for me, mine, only mine." he said feeling you wrap your legs around him.
"Only yours." you repeated.
That night you made love like there was no tomorrow. You couldn't count all the declarations of love that came out of your mouths. With desperation you wanted to be as close as possible to each other as if you wanted to stockpile feelings of closeness for the time of separation which was approaching mercilessly fast. Every I love you from his lips you wanted to lock in a jar and keep for all the coming nights filled with emptiness and longing. Eddie felt the same way, despite his joy and excitement that his dreams were about to come true he too couldn't hold back the tears when outside the window you witnessed the dark night slowly turning into soft shades of orange and the first rays of sunshine already greeting you over Hawkins. Holding each other in your arms, you both wanted to stop time, if only for a moment to enjoy each other even longer. Unfortunately, the world was rushing unmercifully forward without bothering about the pain in your hearts accompanying one of the most beautiful sunrises.
The rest of the morning passed you by like a fog, you barely remembered the way to the airport, the only thing you remembered was that you both sat with Eddie in the back seats constantly clingling to each other. Also at the airport you sat on his lap cuddled up to him. You didn't care about other people's stares. Gareth, Jeff, Simon, Uncle Wayne and Robin knew what was going on and understood perfectly your need for closeness. The separation of people who had the purest kind of love for each other like the two of you made it hard for them too. They looked at you with sadness and helplessness, because they knew that nothing would be able to help. When it came time to board the plane Eddie stood still, paralyzed with fear.
"I don't have to fly." he said, turning to face you. "I don't want to go without you." his voice was breaking. "It's too hard. Ah, fuck." He wiped his tears with his hand.
"Baby, you have to go." with all your strength you restrained yourself from bursting out crying. You had to be strong for him. "This is your dream, you have to try." you placed your hands on his cheeks.
"But you..." his breathing became more and more uneven.
"You know where to find me. I'll be waiting, I'll be your number one fan and I'll be waiting for you, always." you forced yourself to smile. "I'm damn proud of you, Eddie."
"I love you." he leaned his forehead against yours.
"And I love you too." you replied, kissing the tip of his nose. "Now go, go give them hell, rockstar." Laying one last kiss on his lips, you saw Gareth pat him on the shoulder, saying they had to go to the plane now. Through a blurry vision you watched him disappear into the huge line of people, and it wasn't until you saw the plane take to the air that you let all the emotions come out of you. All the way back you were crying your eyes out, Robin and Uncle Wayne, who was driving tried to comfort you from time to time, but they knew that no words could erase the pain that was gripping you.

Eddie's life turned a hundred and eighty degrees, constant concerts, parties "sex, drugs and rock and roll" style quickly took over his life, letting himself get carried away, but he was doing it within reason, he saw with his own eyes how drugs destroyed his father's life when addiction became the most important thing in his life, so he limited himself to weed, which was enough. He would lie that he didn't like the idea of groupies who were actually begging him to do what he wanted with them. The enchantment, though, quickly passed. No matter how crazy sex he had, no matter how good the alcohol he drank and enjoyed parties with the biggest stars, he still didn't feel fully happy. That's why, no matter how tired he was after more concerts and parties, he always found time to call the other end of the country at least once a day to hear your voice. The time zone was not an obstacle, he knew that he could call in the middle of the night and you would still pick up and enjoy listening to all sorts of stories and his ramblings about all the new song ideas, assuring you, of course, that the love-themed ones were about you. He didn't tell you everything, of course; you both agreed that it would be better for him to keep his adventures with groupies to himself, and you about the guys and their tanned bodies you had to deal with in California. They didn't matter to you. You both knew that no matter how much fun you had with others your hearts were on the other side of the country which still hurt.
You, Eddie, Robin, Steve and the kids were not the only people the government had to compensate for all the trauma. Chrissy, who almost became a victim of Vecna also got her chance in New York as a spermodel. Unfortunately, the fashion world could be cruel, and the agency that looked after her decided that the best way to promote her would be to arrange a relationship with a fifteen-year older, sleazy fashion designer. Terrified by the idea, she went to the only place where she could feel safe.  Eddie had just finished talking to you when he heard a knock on the door. He looked in surprise at the girl standing there.
"Eddie, I need your help." She said entering the apartment with panic in her eyes. Explaining the whole situation and revealing her secrets to him, she also presented the idea she had come up with. Eddie being already a bit tired of the groupies who didn't give him a break said it would be a good idea and an excuse to reject them.
"So when do we start?" he asked looking at Chrissy who was sitting across from him.
"As soon as possible." she replied.
The only thing he hadn't thought through was your reaction, because as soon as Chrissy's plan saw the daylight you stopped answering your phone calls, always answered by a deafening silence. He even started writing letters, but never got a response. He was not stupid. He knew what was going on and why you were ignoring him. With pain, he had to admit that you had the right to do so. As time passed, he began to regret everything he had agreed to, however, it was too late to give up. He also knew that if he didn't agree, Chrissy would already be stuck in a bubble of unhappiness until the very end.

Halloween was Y/n's favorite holiday. She always loved an excuse to look weird. After finishing her makeup, she went to look in her closet. She moved the tapestry that hung in the closet doorway and turned on the light to search through her clothes. She threw on her outfit and an oversized black jacket before deciding it was good enough. Y/n grabbed her bag and walked down the hall and straight into the bathroom. Messing with her hair until it was a good and proper mess, she smiled to herself and walked into the dining room for breakfast.
Y/n's stepdad made a face when she walked in but went back to reading the newspaper. "Hey, man," she greeted Max, ruffling her hair. Max smiled, eating her cereal.
"Y/n, I know it's Halloween and all, but do you think you might try and look a little more... n-normal?" her mother asked, walking into the kitchen with a sigh. Y/n rolled her eyes, "Ma, I'm going to dress how I want to. I don't care if people don't like it. Screw 'em," she replied, biting into her Eggo, and following Billy and Max out the front door. Billy passed her his lighter and they were on their way.
Y/n tapped her nails on the Zippo, wondering if kids dressed up here like they used to in California. Her wonders were answered when Billy swerved into the parking lot that had no costumes in sight going in or out of either school.
Guess they save them for later. Y/n thought.
She went into the school and straight to her locker. Students stared at her as she walked through the halls, some whispering or giving her dirty looks. Y/n shrugged, grabbed her books, and walked into first period and into the same seat from the day before. Nancy gave her a smile and turned around to talk.
"Hey! Cool makeup!" she said.
Y/n smiled and thanked her, waving at Robin and Samantha who were sitting by a guy she didn't see the day before. He had long brown curly hair that came down to his shoulders, wearing mostly black with some band t-shirt on with his feet propped up on the desk.
The boy stared at her between the two girls he was talking to. Samantha looked behind her when she noticed he wasn't paying attention to the conversation. She sent him an amused smile when she saw he was staring down Y/n as she chatted with Nancy.
"So, you gonna go talk to her or just stare like a creep?" Samantha asked, turning back to the boy in front of her. "Huh?" he replied, still staring at the black-haired girl across the room. Robin looked over her shoulder and smirked. "She'd never go for him. No way," Robin said, shaking her head. Samantha snickered.
"Why wouldn't she?" the boy asked, now interested in what they had to say.
"Eddie, come on. She's actually pretty cool. I feel like she wouldn't want to hang around you unless in small doses," Robin replied.
Eddie crossed his arms and glanced at the girl again.
"I didn't even know we had a new girl!" Eddie huffed, "Would've been nice to know," he added.
"Munson! Feet down and eyes front!" the teacher called so he could start class. Eddie rolled his eyes, dropping his feet. He kept sneaking glances at the new girl who caught his attention. Here's this girl, brand new to Hawkins, showing up in all black in platforms with black hair and dark makeup you only see on metal bands. How could he not find her interesting?
Class dragged on with Eddie continuing to stare, and Y/n continuing not to notice. The girl slipped off her jacket, causing Eddie's eyes to widen at the art littering her arms.
Tattoos.
Eddie Munson's weakness.
Eddie set his cheek on his hand with a dreamy smile. Robin would've sworn he had hearts in his eyes. He tried to discreetly lean to see the ink on her back but failed to do so before the bell rang.
He sighed in defeat. Eddie didn't have big enough balls to approach her and was hoping he could just see her again in another class.
Y/n entered her second period, smiling at Robin and Nancy who beat her there. "Y/n! Settle something for me," Nancy said, calling her attention. Y/n hummed, agreeing to help out. "So, I have this friend... he's kind of a loner, sits by himself, you know? But we're friends! And there's this Halloween party tonight and I think he's going to come because Steve and I and our friends are going and I think if we all go, he's going to want to go so he won't miss out on the fun! But Steve says Jonathan isn't going to care if we're all there or not. What do you think?" Nancy asked.
Y/n nodded, thinking. "I mean if he goes or not won't really affect the night. So, either way, I don't think it matters. If the guy's antisocial then he's antisocial. Can't do much about it," she replied, shrugging. Nancy saw her point and decided she would end the Jonathan concept with a bet on who would be right.
"Are you going?" Nancy asked. "Where?" Y/n replied. Nancy gave her a deadpan look. "To the party!" Nancy said.
Y/n stared at her with wide clueless eyes. Nancy sighed in defeat.
"Y/n, the Halloween party Tina's throwing tonight," she said. Y/n thought for a second before she remembered what they were talking about. Her face lit up in realization, earning a laugh from Nancy.
"Uh, I don't know man. I didn't even know there was one," Y/n said slowly. Nancy gripped her hand with a sly smile on her face.
"You're coming." Well, it's decided then!
Y/n shrugged and agreed on the condition that she got to ride along with Nancy and Steve. Y/n didn't feel like going to a party with Billy ass her ride because then she would end up having to walk home and that was for losers.
Y/n was not a loser.
Nancy was okay with it, so Y/n was okay to go. The teacher got up and started his lesson, offering candies to kids who got the answers right. Y/n, really just starved for candy, raised her hand every time. Even if she didn't know the answer. Still, she tried. Nancy gave her an amused look on the way out of the classroom at her carrying all her candies in her jacket with a satisfied smile. Y/n was content. She had food and all it took was playing a guessing game. She smiled like a goof all the way to the music room.
Y/n sat down in a different spot closer to the rest of the class that all sat in a big clump in the center of the chairs the music teacher had set up. Robin was doing some test in another class, so Y/n didn't expect to see her in third that day. She pulled out a little Hershey's bar and popped it in her mouth, doing a little dance as she ate it. She looked up in confusion when someone came in and ran right back out of the classroom.
Eddie Munson was currently freaking out in the hallway. Him and Y/n had the same third period. Music. Even better! Eddie loved music. He could roll with that. There was still a possibility that she was in his lunch or the last classes of the day, but the fact that she was in the same class right now was mind-blowing. Eddie took a deep breath, fluffed up his hair, and walked with fake confidence back into the music room. His heart almost melted at Y/n bopping to herself in her seat just because she had some candy. Eddie smiled to himself, hiding his grin behind his hair while he sat in the end seat in the row she was sitting in.
"Okay, uh... Hey! I'm Eddie. You're pretty. Wait- no. That's so stupid, what the fuck?" Eddie mumbled to himself. "What's up? I'm Eddie. I've never seen you here before," he whispered, mumbling curses and other various insults to himself. He was not smooth at all. The number of times Eddie had talked to a pretty girl successfully had yet to reach double digits. People just thought he was weird. Girls especially.
Eddie glanced over at her every five seconds. He was trying his best to be stealthy he really was. Was it working? Absolutely not...
A couple of the guys that sat in that class noticed his behavior and decided to call him out on it. "Hey, Munson! You got a new victim to stalk or are you just tweaking?" the random dickhead laughed. Eddie rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, looking like a toddler in time out.
Y/n furrowed her eyebrows, confusion clear on her face. "What's your issue, man?" she asked the dick two rows up. He scoffed, "That freak's been staring at you all class. You probably would've noticed if you weren't pigging out on candy." Y/n sent him a bored expression and sighed, "Alright brother. My love for candy has nothing to do with you overcompensating for your tiny cock and balls." Eddie let out a loud "ha!" before covering his mouth. "Whatever. You're probably both freaky psychos," the tiny penis man sneered. "Hey, you got a cool dog. What breed is it?" Y/n asked the asshole's friend.
The music teacher butt in before they could fight anymore with a warning and started class. Eddie took that as his chance. He quietly slid down the row until he sat a seat away from Y/n. "Thank's for that," he whispered. She smiled at her notebook and looked up at him. "No biggie. Dude was acting a fool," Y/n replied. Eddie snickered and pretended to pay attention to take notes in his own book.
Y/n snuck a peek at his book and smiled to herself at what he was actually writing. Eddie had drawn a stick figure with long hair and a guitar with lightning coming out of it. "Is that for monsters or something?" Y/n whispered, pointing out the lightning bolts with her pencil. Eddie looked up at her and down at her notes. He twirled his pen and drew another little stick figure on the corner of her page. Y/n laughed and drew a smiley face on his paper. They went back and forth until class ended. Eddie quickly drew an arrow pointing to the stick figure he drew on her paper and put Eddie in his messy handwriting.
"Who's Eddie?" Y/n laughed.
Eddie stood up with a flourish before motioning to himself. Y/n giggled and stood up after shoving her books into her bag.
"Well, go ahead and name that smiley face Y/n for me," she said. "That's you?" Eddie asked like he didn't already know. Y/n nodded, starting to walk out of class. "See ya, Eddie."

CHAPTER V: Breaking The Law
Y/n woke up to the sound of the alarm clock. The anxiety she had felt on her first day of school at Hawkins had been alleviated by her new friends - Eddie, Gareth, Jeff and Grant. Their jokes, conversations, and invitation to join their activities had given her a sense of belonging. Y/n got out of bed feeling a mixture of tiredness and excitement. The night before had been intense with band rehearsal and festivities, but now she had to focus again on school.
She had been writing a letter to Sam, Molly and Adam telling them about her first experiences at Hawkins, and although she hadn't intended to write too much, she was almost two pages in. She had been writing a little at a time, ever since she left California, but she wrote most of it last night before bed. She told them mostly about Corroded Coffin, and about the D&D campaign and Lyria's new adventure. About how well they would love Eddie and the rest of the band. Jokingly promising not to replace them so quickly. Finally, she expressed to them how much she missed them and how she wished she could spend some time with them, and also wished them well in California.
When she finished, she sealed the envelope and put it in her backpack so she could mail it later.
After a quick shower, y/n changed into her favorite Crimson Chaos t-shirt and comfy jeans, along with worn converse that had been all written with pens.
Arriving at Hawkins High, y/n headed to her first class, shared with Jeff. Jeff's banter and company made her morning more bearable. In the next class, French, y/n found herself paired for an in-class assignment with a girl a few grades younger named Robin. The girl, despite being somewhat restless and hyperactive, was good at languages and they were the first to hand in their homework.
At the end of class, y/n went to the parking lot accompanied by her new friends and they stayed with her until they each had to go home. Y/n stayed behind waiting for her sister, Max, as usual. However, Max did not show up. Worried, she decided to go look for her at the elementary school.
She entered the school and started walking through the halls, until she found her trying to force open the door to the video room. Her backpack was on the floor, next to her skateboard, and she had a small wire in her hand wedged in the lock. ‘Maxine Mayfield, what are you doing?’ asked y/n, accusingly, her eyes wide with surprise. At the same instant she spoke, the girl had managed to open the door, and at the sound of her voice, she turned to her in surprise.
Before she could scold her, something came out of the room. It was some kind of fat mouse, only its skin looked more like that of a toad. Disgusted, she instinctively lifted her foot, and the animal moved on, heading down another hallway.
Behind the creature, four children came out of the video room trying to catch it, two of them colliding with Max, all three falling to the floor.
'What was that?' asked Max to one of the children.
'Dart! You let him escape!' Said a slim, lanky boy with black hair.
'What is a Dart?' Y/n asked, not receiving an answer.
'Why did you attack him?' Said a curly-haired boy wearing a trucker's cap. 'Don't hurt him!' he demanded, as the rest of the children began to search for the creature. Max followed them, and without knowing why, y/n did too.
She began to search the hallways and corridors, and some classrooms, but there was no sign of the animal. After a few minutes, she found one of the kids, he was dark skinned and had an athletic build. If she was going by what Max had told her, it was probably Lucas. They had received a message from other of the kids on the radio that Dart was in the bathroom, so they all gathered there. Dustin had been the first to arrive, but found nothing.
Y/n squinted at him. Like a good liar, she could smell lies a mile away. The boy adjusted his cap restlessly. She followed the movements with her gaze and he seemed to notice.
'Maybe Will has it.' He commented, trying to avoid y/n's gaze. Before she could ask anything, Mike stared at him and asked in alarm.
'Where's Will?'
They parted down the halls of the school again, but this time to find the boy. Max quickly explained that last year he had gotten lost in the woods, and then y/n understood the urgency in Mike's voice.
After a few minutes, she went out into the playground and began to look around. In the distance, she saw a boy standing on the training field, as she got closer, she recognized it was the little boy they were looking for. He had a bowl-cut brown hair, pale and gaunt, but somehow delicate.
'Will? Your friends are looking for you, they thought you... Will? Are you okay?' she asked, finishing her approach to him. His eyes were closed, but he didn't seem to be listening to her. Mike ran over and started calling out to him as well, getting no response. 'I'll go get help, stay with him' she asked him, Mike nodded. Y/n ran back to the school and met Lucas on the way.
'He's in the courtyard. He seems to be having a... seizure or something' She commented, not knowing how to explain it. Just then, a woman with tousled brown hair and an earnest concerned expression, came through the school door asking for the boy. It must have been his mom. Max and Dustin appeared running from other hallways. Y/n led them to where Will and Mike were, and his mother tried to wake him up, still repeating his name.
Y/n put an arm around Max's shoulders in concern, just watching the scene, unable to do anything. Just as she was about to go for help, the boy opened his eyes. Even though everything seemed normal, both his mother and his three friends still looked worried. As if something else was going on, but neither y/n nor Max received any explanation.
After Will's mother took the boy away, y/n looked at Max and told her they should go home. Max nodded silently, and the two began walking toward the parking lot. During the drive, Max didn't say a word, which worried her sister.
They got into the car and began the drive back. Y/n noticed that Max was still silent, staring out the window with a sullen expression. Finally, she decided to break the silence.
'Are you going to explain to me why you were trying to pick that lock? What's wrong with you, Max?' y/n asked, shooting a quick glance at the girl. Max sighed, crossing her arms.
'It's Mike...' She started to say, hesitantly. 'I resent him pulling me aside when the four of them are together. Like he doesn't want me to be with them.' Y/n frowned, trying to understand.
'You mean him, Dustin, Lucas and Will?' Max nodded. Y/n took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to reassure Max.
'Look, Max, he probably did it because they've been friends for a long time. Sometimes it's hard for people to accept someone new, especially when they have such a tight-knit group.'
Max kept looking out the window, but the eldest could see that she was thinking about what she had said.
'Mike mentioned that there was a girl before in their group.' Y/n nodded, getting a better understanding of the situation.
'That makes sense, in a way… Maybe they're still dealing with the loss of that friend and they're having a hard time accepting someone new in her place. Don't take it personally, Max. Give yourself time and give them time too. You'll have your moment to prove to them that you're worth being their friend.' Max was silent for a few more moments, processing her older sister's words. Finally, she nodded slightly.
'I guess you're right. I just... I just wish they didn't see me as an intruder.' Y/n smiled, trying to cheer her up.
'You're amazing, Max. Don't worry, you'll see that little by little they'll get to know and appreciate you. Just be yourself and everything will be fine.' She advised her. Max smiled slightly, feeling a little better thanks to her sister's words.
Arriving home, y/n felt the need to freshen up after such a hectic day. She headed straight to her room, grabbed her clean clothes and jumped into the shower. The hot water helped her relax and clear her mind. After a few minutes, she changed her clothes and left her room, ready for a new mission. She went downstairs and found her father, Neal, sitting in the living room watching TV.
'Dad, can I talk to you for a moment?' she asked, trying to sound as casual as possible. Neal looked at his daughter and nodded.
'Sure, y/n. What's up?' y/n took a breath and jumped in.
'You see... A classmate of mine at school told me they're taking people to work at the local movie theater. I'd like to go and apply for a job. It would be great to have a little extra money, like I did at the movie theater in San Diego... If you don't mind, of course.'
Neal frowned, considering the proposal. For him, it meant he'd have to spend less money on y/n's whims, and besides, he'd know where she was after school, which gave him some peace of mind. Y/n knew it was rather controlling, but she didn't mind.
'Well, as long as you keep your grades up in school, I don't see why not,' Neal said finally. 'Go ahead and apply. But remember, your studies are the most important thing. Oh, and you'll still have to bring Max home from school,' he reminded her. The blonde smiled, feeling relieved.
'Yes, of course. I promise. Thanks.' Neal nodded and turned his attention back to the television, as y/n prepared to leave. 'I'll be back later.' She said by way of greeting, ruffling Max's hair as she walked past her and punched Billy's arm who looked at her with a smirk.
Working after school wasn't a financial necessity for y/n. In California she had done it as just another excuse to be away from home longer. As it happened, Neal thought it was a good idea for her to work, so that she would have more busy time to hang around with her friends. So that way, he was killing two birds with one stone.
After parking in front of the movie theater, she looked in the reflection of the mirror to check her appearance. She was dressed more soberly than usual, but it still represented her. Light jeans, her combat boots, and a plain red T-shirt with white details on the short sleeves and collar, paired with her old leather jacket.
As she walked through the doors, the aroma of freshly popped popcorn was the first thing that hit her, enveloping her in a warm welcome. It was a buttery, salty, slightly sweet smell that always managed to make her smile. In the candy area, the smell of melted chocolate and gumdrops made her think of afternoons in California, where she had worked before.
Her eyes roamed the lobby until they stopped on a boy behind the concessions counter, clearly frustrated with a soda machine. His messy blond hair fell over his forehead as he bent over, trying to solve the problem. The girl smiled, remembering her own days in California when she worked in a similar movie theater.
"Damn it, why aren't you working?" the boy exclaimed, pounding on the machine in frustration.
She approached with a calm smile. "Do you need help?" She asked, leaning slightly over the counter. The boy, wearing a name badge that read "Kyle," looked up, his expression one of relief mixed with surprise.
"As a matter of fact, yes," Kyle replied, stepping aside to give him room. "The machine got stuck and I can't get it to work properly."
After asking his permission to go around the other side of the counter, she examined the machine quickly and noticed that the syrup dispenser was clogged.
‘Sometimes the syrup dispenser gets clogged,’ She explained, inspecting the device. ‘I worked in a movie theater in California, so I've dealt with this before.’ She took off her jacket and laid it on the counter and, with skill and speed, disassembled the top of the machine. She found the blockage, a buildup of dried syrup that was preventing proper flow. Patiently, she cleared the blockage, making sure not to damage any of the delicate parts. Then she reassembled the machine and tested it. The soda came out perfectly.
‘Wow, you've got to teach me how to do that!’ the boy said, visibly relieved. ‘Thanks. Hey, as a thank you, how about a free ticket for today? My treat.’ Y/n smiled and shook her head.
"Actually, I'm here looking for a job, do you think you could help me with that?’
The boy, both surprised and relieved, nodded quickly. ‘Definitely! The girl who was in charge before, Keri, left and I can't handle everything like she did. If you want to start right now, it would be a big help.’ The blonde eagerly agreed.
‘Sure, why not?’ Relieved, Kyle showed her the basics of the job. ‘Well, it's not much different than what we had in San Diego,’ she commented, glancing around at the layout of the concessions area and the lobby. Kyle nodded.
‘You're probably not going to serve the same amount of people as you would in the big city, but it's still pretty busy, especially on the weekends. Hawkins doesn't have a lot of entertainment options, so the movie theater is pretty popular.’ Y/n looked around the place as Kyle explained the daily chores. ‘Here's the popcorn. Make sure you keep the machines full and the butter replenished. We also have candy on that shelf over there and cold snacks in the cooler over there.’ He showed her how to operate the cash register, although y/n was already familiar with the system. ‘And here are the cups for the refreshments. If the machine ever breaks down again, you'll know how to fix it, which is great because, honestly, I suck at it.’
Y/n laughed lightly, and with a precise and respectful gesture, she brought her index finger to her forehead in a salute that conveyed a clear 'at your service'. Kyle smiled back.
‘Well... There's not much more to it than that. With your experience, I think you'll adapt quickly. And if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me.’ Finally, he offered her an apron that identified them as employees.
Y/n felt excited as she prepared for her first shift at the Hawkins movie theater. Dressed in the black apron over her clothes, she headed toward the concessions area where Kyle was waiting for her.
‘Ready for your first day?’ asked Kyle with a smile. Y/n nodded.
‘Definitely.’
The shift progressed smoothly. Y/n quickly got used to the pace of the Hawkins movie theater. Although it was less crowded than her old job in San Diego, there was a steady stream of customers, especially families and teenagers who came to see the latest movies. As the hours passed, she began to feel more relaxed and comfortable in her new surroundings. She served customers with a smile, enjoying the small interactions and conversations. When the shift ended, y/n and Kyle took over closing duties, cleaning up the concessions area and making sure everything was in order for the next day.
‘Good job today,’ Kyle said as they closed the theater. ‘And thanks again for saving me today.’
‘You’re welcome, thank you too," y/n replied, feeling satisfied with how everything had gone. After arranging their schedules for the week, where they decided that she would work Mondays through Fridays after school, until twenty-one. Since she was still a minor, and could not have any more workload, she would have weekends off.
Arriving home, y/n found that Max had left her some P&B sandwiches on the table with a note. With a smile, she took the plate and went to her room. She lay down on her bed, and ate the sandwiches while she did her homework. When she felt that her eyes could no longer stay open, she put things aside and covered herself with the blanket, falling asleep almost instantly.

Steve honks the horn, and sips from his mug of coffee. It won't fit in his cup holder, so he has to rest it on his thigh. He honks again, and a minute later Robin rushes out of the front door of her house, towards his waiting car.
Arms flailing, she screams, "Hold on, I'm coming!"
It makes Steve chuckle. She's the one about to be late to school, not him. He's graduated. Family Video doesn't open for another two plus hours. He's got plenty of time to kill this morning, but he knows she doesn't want the tardy. He knows her like the back of his hand. The front of his hand?
His whole hand. For sure.
Robin fumbles with the trunk, and he watches as she unlocks it. It was just easier to give her the damn spare key instead of him having to get out every morning and unlock it.
She finally piles into the front seat, with a huff, "What are we waiting for? You're gonna make me late, dingus!"
He rolls his eyes.
"Good morning to you, too," he says, handing her his mug of coffee. He might as well. She's gonna take it from him, sooner or later. She always does. He opens the console, and hands her the bagel that he's wrapped in a paper towel, before leaning to look back over his shoulder, reversing them back onto the street.
He glances at her out of the corner of his eye, and she's alternating between drinking coffee, and eating the bagel. Getting sesame seeds all over the floor mat. He'll have to stop by the car wash and vacuum it after he drops her off.
"There's an away game tonight," she says, done with the bagel, and now holding his coffee in one hand, putting her mascara on with the other. He watches, not sure how she's doing it one-handed.
"Yeah, the kids have told me a thousand times, like I've somehow suddenly forgotten how a basketball schedule works since graduating," Steve says, annoyed.
"I have to ride the activity bus to the game, but if you can forge me a note again, I'll ride home with you. Dibs on the front seat," she says.
Steve laughs. He's been roped into taking Dustin, Mike and Max, and Dustin's gonna hate that she's called dibs, but fair is fair. Dustin can have the front seat on the way to Hartford City.
They head down the highway, and Robin tells him about her morning. He nods, listens, and analyzes more about Vickie than he ever imagined possible. It's a ritual at this point. She pines. He gives advice she won't take.
They argue. They banter.
Rinse, repeat.
Day after day, morning after morning.
But it's often the best part of his day.
He's trying to explain exactly why she should just go for it, when Steve catches movement out of the corner of his eye, and realizes they're about to be broadsided by a van, that as far as Steve can tell, has no driver.
Steve slams on the brakes, stopping short as the van whips onto the highway from a side road, cutting him off. The driver's head just barely popping into view, mere seconds before he needed to make the turn.
"Watch it, asshole!" Steve screams, slamming his hand on the steering wheel.
"Uh, Steve?" Robin says, and he turns to look at her, and she's wearing the coffee. Brown splotches staining her white blouse, running all over his leather seats.
"Are you hurt? Did you get burned?" he asks, patting her arm down, like that'll help.
"Well, it doesn't feel great! But I think I'll live," she says. "But I don't have time to go back home and change, I'm going to be so late. Detention for me, yay," she says sarcastically.
"Take off your shirt," Steve says, and she cuts him a look, "Not like that, Jesus, Robin. I don't want to see your boobies."
He snaps his fingers, and gives her the hurry up motion.
So, she does, and he takes off his shirt, too, and stretches his hand out to offer it to her. She takes it, and slips it over her head. It's too big, but she says she doesn't care, because that's the style, apparently.
"Thanks, dingus," she says, and he slides his arms back through the holes of his vest. No shirt underneath. He looks ridiculous.
At the school, they both get out, and Robin digs out her notepad, and turns around. Steve lays the notebook on her back, and writes the note, forging Mrs. Buckley's signature to get Robin off the activity bus on the way home.
"There, done," he says, swatting her on the back with the notebook, and she takes it and rushes towards the building, turning back towards him.
"Thanks, Steve! See you tonight!" she yells and then she turns and runs away from the parking lot faster.
"Yeah, yeah," he mutters, but he smiles as she goes.
"Nice fashion statement, Harrington," Eddie Munson interrupts, as he climbs out of the same goddamn van that caused this whole problem in the first place. He should have known Eddie "The Freak" Munson was involved.
Steve looks down at his bare chest.
"Well, I had a shirt until you cut us off and Robin spilled coffee all over herself," Steve snaps.
"I don't know what you're talking about, that doesn't sound like me at all. I'm a great driver," Eddie says, digging around and coming up with a black, metal lunchbox.
His drugs. Steve knows all about Eddie, and his dealing business.
"Yeah, sure you are," Steve snips, turning to get into the driver's seat. He has no interest in engaging with Eddie Munson at ten 'til eight in the morning. No goddamn way.
"Nice to see you, King Steve," Eddie snarks, walking awfully slowly towards the school for someone that nearly ran them off the road to get here today.
What a dickhead.

Notes: Eddie definitely saw Steve in that no-shirt/vest combo and when presented with the opportunity to see it again in the Upside Down, and in his own vest no less, he took it, lol.
