After the fifth time that Katsuki pops up at UA, surprising Izuku with Bento for lunch, calling him "sensei" in a cocky(affectionate) tone, Kouta just stops at Izuku's desk on his way out of the room and asks him point blank,

"So are you and DynaMight actually dating, or what?"

Izuku sputtering and dropping all of his paperwork and avoiding the question out of sheer dumbfoundedness.

Then, the sixth time that Katsuki barges in, as he is thrusting the bento into Izukus hands as usual, Kota raises his hand, and stands up from his seat and yells out,

"DynaMight, sir!! Pardon me, but are you dating Deku-Sensei??" And the whole class gasps and whispers. Katsuki appears just as dumbfounded as he looks wide-eyed at Kouta and the students.

"Kouta!" Izuku balks, but then Katsuki suddenly grins mischievously. Izuku doesn't trust that look...

"Well, brat, maybe I SHOULD date him, then I could make sure Sensei doesn't forget to eat every day, right??" Katsuki looked entirely too pleased at the louder gasps and chatter that came from the students. He has a wicked grin as he turns his sharp red eyes back to Izuku.

"K-Kacchan, what are you doing?!" Izuku stammers, beet red and grabbing his arm. "This is not the time for--"

"If you don't want me disrupting your class, then stop leaving your Bento in the fridge!!" Katsuki scolds Izuku before swinging himself back out of the open window. There was a fresh wave of gasps and excited murmuring at the insinuationthat the two lived together. "We're ROOM MATES, OK?" He adds hastily, pointing his finger at the noisy classroom of kids.

He drops out the window and blasts off.

Izuku is left, stood at his desk, hands planted and hanging his head, trying to collect enough of himself to quell the riotous theories now flying around his classroom.

Kouta stands at his own desk amidst his unruly classmates, eyes narrowed as if he had just realized something, "I knew it!" He hisses.

"You're the worst," Izuku texts Katsuki later.

"I know" katsuki replies.

"Now eat your fuckin food or I'll stop making it for you."

So sorry to nitpick off your notes, but you mentioned in the reblog of that Chilchuck post that some of his family rents from him and therefore may not be that poor. I’m gonna argue that means they’re MORE likely to be poor. It’s very common where I’m from for family to rent at an EXTREMELY discounted price from family. This is usually a setup between a poor family and 1 slightly less poor or middle class family member, so paying for their rent altogether is less of an option, it’s usually a large discount but nothing more. I always read that as a hint that Chilchuck was the most successful in his family, but that easily could’ve been reading into it on my end!

Could be! My thoughts was that since it was a big house it probably meant they could afford to live there? And that they could afford to live away from family?

It's all interpretation tbh, him renting a house to family def points out to him being the successful one but he runs a guild and is EXTREMELY competent to the point the high rates he charges are acceptable so he is extraordinary in that sense.

Also it's fine to nitpick the things I say! (as long as you aren't mean to me)

alongside my existing goals i think that an additional artistic goal of mine is to teach and stage work that is often time deemed “unstagable”—works with impossible stage directions, plays with ghosts, works so textually dense they require hundreds of hours of parsing, work that is violent and uncomfortable and confrontational, works that leave marks on their audience (psychic or otherwise) and i think all of that is still compatible with an artistic and pedagogical approach that centers safety and growth of all involved—i am drawn to these works that make me uncomfortable because they make me think deeply and critically and i think the notion that some of these works are “unstable” inherently makes them worthy of an attempt

#i've been thinking a lot about projects that i want to direct down the line and so many of them fall into that ''unstagable'' (or worse imho #''unproducable'' which is a fucking stupid term producers not wanting to take even minor risk is its own convo) and i remember the reaction #i got when i told people i was directing baal which is incredibly tame compared to some of the work i'm interested directing and being so #shocked at the pearl clutching; i think that it is entirely possible to do extremely difficult work centering safety in the process and it #frustrates me that there are very few producing entities interested in that type of work #anyways—not really going anywhere with this but i am thinking deeply about this + i want to teach a directing class with the focus of #staging the unstagable #anyways. bring on your hamletmachines your jets of bloods your blasteds your cleansed etc. etc.

There's some connections between its use in feminist thought and in queer theories, and I'd love to know your thoughts about it.
