i was talking with @yardsards and they reminded me of how funny amity and hunter being stepsiblings will be but i still think darius deserves someone better than alador. so we decided that yes, alador does divorce odalia and gets together with darius. amity and hunter become stepsiblings and they hate it. but after like a month darius realizes alador is still a cringefail loser and also divorces him. and somehow darius managed to get custody of all three of alador and odalia’s kids so amity and hunter stay stepsiblings. oh and throw in an odalia-darius divorce somewhere in there to balance it out.

and what i think would be even funnier is if the odaladarius trio reconnect after the four divorces between them (aladarius divorced in high school-they were never married but they sure were divorced) and stay friends. in fact, they end up being like, super close good friends with each other. just like in hexside. they just can’t get romantically involved in any combination otherwise they’ll devolve into another intricate web of divorce and custody battles. odalia already lost her visitation rights to amity and the twins alador doesn’t want to lose his as well.

Even when he helps take Killua’s helmet off…

He’s careful when slipping his fingers near his chin to undo the buckle, and Killua’s heart races. He used to hate this feeling… but now… it makes him feel so…

He lunges forward, the edge of his helmet, slamming into Gon’s chest, curling up as much as possible.

“Easy.”

Gon breathes in with a wince, clearly having had the air knocked out of his lungs. But he can’t help but smile fondly. How can he be mad when Killua clings to him? Not only is it cute, but it makes him happy to know Killua feels safe enough around him to do so.

“Let me take your helmet off, okay? Then we can cuddle as much as you want.”

Killua shifts away, hiding a pout, and Gon unbuckles the helmet, pulling it off Killua’s head.

His hair is all frizzy, sticking out in every what way, some plastered to his cheeks, the rest airborne.

It’s downright adorable.

The jeep speeds down the dark highway, in the distance is a silhouette of mountains. It's dead silent out here, nothing but a long stretch of road until they meet the next town over.

Blu’s heart bangs hard in her chest, she can feel it in her throat. Dragging her eyes from the window, she shifts in place and glances at Luz who is passed out against her. The younger woman's head on her shoulder, dark curls obscuring her face as her head hangs forward. She passed out seconds ago and hasn't woken up since.

Angel sucks his teeth in the passenger seat while shaking his head, “she’s fucking dead man. We should have left her ass.”

Blu narrowed her eyes as he spoke, then kicked the back of his seat, “she’s not dead asshole, she's bit.”

“Yeah, like I said, dead. Sure, as hell about to be.”

Blu rolls her eyes and sits.

Bishop takes a deep breath before speaking, “We can use her. Keep driving EZ.”
