I took some of my favorite people to a concert of one of my favorite groups, KARD. Amazing experience, those four are talented, wild, sexy - I loved it a lot. I can still hear those live vocals and the fangirls' screams... a night to remember

two groups, IVE and NewJeans, really made this kpop year special for me. NewJeans had banger galore while IVE just dropped the greatest Album maybe ever?! What would we do without them, loved it

my sister came home this weekend and something about her... idk i just get mad at her so fast. well first of all,,,, shes GAY WITH A GIRLFRIEND!!! im not mad at her for that LOL actually idk why i started with that... but anyways she told me shes planning on coming out to my PARENTS on her BIRTHDAY which sounds horrible and terrifying and i have no idea how it will go but also it makes ME feel kinda #grateful she is coming out first before me.... softens the blow for me. she is not like... visibly gay like i am.... so i think it will be quite a shock. honestly, ive not even thought about coming out to my parents. it always ffelt so far away, and i have no idea how they would react. truly. so i dont know... i guess ill see.... but they already think my sister is off the rails. which... idk. UGH anyways. god i love her so much but recently i dont know. i just feel lilke shes barely herself anymore. it feels like shes trying so hard to be another person or trying too hard to be cool or something. something about the way she acts or does things feels inauthentic to me, and i just don't see HER in herself anymore. i guess college changes a girl, but it sucks now. things will never ever be the same and it sucks really bad, i guess. theres nothing i can do. i wish i didnt get so frusterated with that though. something about her. and i feel so mean. maybe im just mad that i feel like she abandoned me. but its whatever, anyways. i was always closer to her than my other sister. idk. it just makes me sad now to think about it. and i feel bad for feeling this way. i just wish things were back to before everything, i think. anyways. my Biffle Bae came to my house like two days in a row and it was such a blast. Bae helped me with my jazz band audition (brought the bass guitar and played the bass to my piano.... it was awesome...) and we sounded so cool and awesome and i think that singlehandedly will help me get INTO JAZZ BANNNDDD!! and then we went to an open mic and saw all our awesome friends perform and it was so cool... open mics are so awesome!!!! and i had a blast.. and we are thinking about maybe performing or something..... thinking... about it. kinda scary but... WHO CARES!!! no one there!!! everyone is so chill and supporting at that place. oh man i LOVE cool and hip millennials who write poetry!!! sick as FREAK! and my biffle bae Loved it and i was like Hehe i knew you would. Hehe. and now i DRIVE EVERYWHERE and its insane. freedom and crap... driving is still slightly scary. only a tiny little bit. yeah...

Hurry Up, We're Dreaming - M83 This is like the only non rock/metal album here because it's THAT good. You wouldn't believe that it came out in 2011. ok ok this is another one of those posts where i’m being angry over something only i care about to let it out. okay. sorry about that. but hope if you read it you enjoy my rage. 

so bring me the horizon kind of changed their image in recent years (i’d argue that sempiternal was the turning point but for some reason ppl insist this era is still old bmth so idk). they’re leaning way more into scene culture and mix more pop-ish aesthetics into their image and music by collabing with artists like babymetal and ed sheeran or even just with visual changes, and i fucking love it tbh i think it’s really cool and a nice way to adapt into the modern music industry while still generally sticking to the same genres, just giving them a new twist

but as i mentioned this affects their aesthetic as well, and a few days ago they uploaded a pic of oliver dressed in rainbow clothing and i think makeup too? and that outfit genuinely fucked so hard i thought it was awesome and like, most of the comments on their posts are usually supportive so i like looking at them, but this time it was a mistake bc my god. 

(edit: just checked and a key detail i forgot was the caption of the pic was just a pride flag emoji and a credit for the photographer. so yeah this def impacted the comments lol)

hello icha!! i finally got around to finishing the stranger haha,, by which i mean i just watched it today. was veryyyy excited for it as i really like the poster design for this one. anyways. this event starting w/ the sort of portrait format or whatever / that narration is like. god. threw me right back to autumn troupe. And the connection with him taking photos! ahh!! now that I think about it… omi kind of seems a bit like early version tsumugi, huh? also I keep forgetting this man is a college student lol. suspension of disbelief I suppose. onto the play i think like. mankai should invest in a fainting courch for tsuzuru. i also went to watch the play and 1) im betting yuki had a hell of a time costume design wise like the vines on the body? such fun costuming wise and 2) the ethical implications of whatever this play has,,, fun fun. tsuzuru was clearly having some kind of thoughts. i love zeros design and am always up for a3 characters crossdressing bc 1) i think its fun and 2) the costume design. i also dearly wish this whole thing was animated bc I feel like it’d be o fun to see taichi act as zero. or at least I hope this event gets full voiced one day... moving on to the scene where omi adds soy sauce to the paella I know it’s just like haha homare funny so lets five him a lil bit but like everyone in autumn troupe making their comments on the paella and like homare just jumping in. homare autumn troupe besties. just thinking. also the way they just r like. no no no omi it’s fine if u made a mistake!! it’s ok! we like it (you) anyways <3 it’s got it’s own special taste. something something omi’s perfectly pleasant as he is now but even if he weren’t on his a-game and was dealing with all of the biker gang stuff they would love him just as hard. another thing that got me was omi telling banri that he’ll give him something sweet so juza will stop grinding his teeth in his sleep… guys… guys you’ll give him cavities…. mb omi is a college student after all lol.

anyways when i saw the actual costumes. appreciative of them, i like the lil circuit-esque detailing on banri’s outfit, and that sakyo and taichi (nine and zero) both share that like collar detail? its very symbolic and probably also literal but its a nice way to sort of signify their relation to each other visually! also sakyo just looks nice. seeing him without glasses is so great. whoever thought up the like two mole detail for him was doing gods work.

something that confused me was ryo mistaking juza for nachi for a split second? like. does juza… look similar to nachi? or was it just that ryo only heard juzas voice and made that mistake. if it’s appearance wise too. kumon nachi confirmed. I’m joking lol bc I feel like I would’ve heard at least something abt it in one of the like small conversation comments, plus that doesnt seem like itd fit summer troupes style and kumon is for sure the wrong age… but still.

i really like how for this event, the roles for taichi and omi were kinda reversed. and taichis just so like. idk. smiley. rly lifts ur spirits. its kind of nice how this event contrasts to that cg where taichi is crying on omi. I also think like. idk. considering the story of the stranger. wolf gives zero a sense of purpose and life and I think that zero helps wolf lose his apathy. it’s about “the stranger” and the ending makes him like… not a stranger, right? because he’s got a companion. in the same way, taichi brings omi out of his emotional isolation. the picture taking! also the stickers coming back… thats such a good setup! the found family of it all!!

when he was trying to work out zeros character as soon as taichi mentioned a sharp speaking style I KNEW it was Yuki… yuki would never be as honest as zero is though lol… to me i imagine she’s got a sort of juza internal monologue feel? anyways. the taichi yuki dynamic intrigues me. havent yet decided how I feel abt it but when I do… yes. sorry that I make literally no sense. I think it’s very obvious that yuki is my fav chara kind of? I’m just. hmmm it makes me think! I’ve been monologuing to myself abt the yuki and juza dynamic lately which, to my a3 knowledge so far, doesn’t exist, but its ok bc I’ll make it exist! uhhh anyways this event was very good i liked the pacing. i think it didnt drag too hard and it really properly honed in on just omi and taichi, which was quite nice. they really did a lot for just an event!

time to listen to the event song,,, ok so. ah. i rly enjoyed just for myself it was very much to my taste so. out of curiousity i was like ok lemme look up the composer / producer AND IT WAS YUYOYUPPE....... that guy is like!!!! one of my FAV producers ever!!!!!! i know him from like. his vocaloid days and god leia is still one of my fav songs to this day...! this knowledge gives me so much joy omg!!! like wow!! wowwww!!! like i knew yuyoyuppe was out there doing other stuff (i know he worked on a lot of babymetal music which is cool) but like idk. to suddenly encounter it like this. heheh.... its so nice! made me soooo happy. going to relisten to leia now haha

Im glad you liked the costume and the play!!! yeah i love the designs and it is always a blast to see them this into it, and yeaaah Tsuzuru has thoughts huh. It'll get voiced sooner than later hopefully and there we'll see more in details :3c but also that's what made the seiyuu live so fun bc they perform the songs in play cosplay and replay a bit of the play everytime and it's *chief kiss*

aND DLKFJD yeah no Juza is supposed to look like Nachi physically, but mostly his face? like i think Nachi was had green hair? we see a sprite of him in a future story, and yeah, everything is in the eyebrows. so Kumon should be safe? Omi mentions he sees a lot of Nachi in Juza, and while it is mostly due to their passions i think, the fact they're also rough looking guy with a heart of gold must play a part as well. but yeah, he does look like Nachi a bit.

I feel like Taichi is really an emotional core of the troupe in the sense that is, he tends to catch on what others are feelings easily. And he uses it in the early chapters to ease off the tensions and stuff, but he was being held back by knowing he was deceiving them. So now that he's more free, he can be more of himself. but yeah i also love the contrast with how Omi was the one to help Taichi through his breakdown and guilt, and now it's the other way around, it's Taichi helping him through it. and the parallelism between the play and their dynamic is spot on imo! well said!!

and god yeah the sticker things made me cry sO HARD, and the pictures! and everything!! sobs it's such a sweet found family i'm going to cry :(

And! i love what you say about Yuki, Taichi and Juza on this one. I love that Taichi keeps bringing it back to "that childhood friend" and it's always like. so obvious who it is for us rip. But it can make you wonder if Yuki was more honest as a kiddo when Taichi knew him, though now he's clearly not. I love the mention of how Zero is more like Juza's internal speech (which, if anything is another argument about why you should let Juza wear a dress, cOWARD)

but also your mention of the Yuki and Juza thing, while i can't think of them having a dynamic per se yet, but i actually wrote a post during my reread about how i was baffled at the fact they treated Muku the same way?? like both of them tried to push Muku away because they were scared of how people would react if they say pure, sweet Muku was associated to them. And i find it fascinating because i guess those two are pretty aware of how the world see them, and it used to stop them from fully allowing them to be themselves.

I also find it relevant with the fact Yuki says in his personal song that while all of this way people judge him weight on him, he rather be himself, and "I want to love myself". Meanwhile we have Juza who's also aware of the way people judge him and it weight on him, and he wants to change himself from this person he hates, this self loathing - and in a way, he can grow in a way to be "someone" he may not hate, even on stage. I feel like those two have quite a bit in common in this way of being rejected by their peers in some sort of way.

I really want them to share some stuff at some point because there's really a groundwork on it all :(

But i'm really glad you liked that event!! agreed on the pacing and i do love what it brings to the characters! it really fleshes them out and have them move forward a little and it's pretty sweet.

All about it!!! Yes! Want!!!! I think I've said this before but if babymetal had kpop style albums? That'd be amazing...with a variety of photoshoots and interviews from the girls and the aesthetic possibilities?? If only, other kpop esque merch could be cool too but I won't hold my breath 😔 and metal fans ought to try pulling their heads out of their asses, just a thought

Stolen Time

Kiribaku drabble. Idk why I felt like writing more 7 Minutes in Heaven cliches but I’m getting a kick out of it lol. Might be the lack of sleep.

‘This was such a bad idea!’ Bakugou chastised himself internally. What in the world had possessed him to say yes to playing this ridiculous game?! He groans, fuck he knew the answer and it was a secret he was trying to keep! But the whole class had agreed to play out of boredom so it was harder to say no without being a total ass.

His buddies had still been shocked that he’d agreed to play, and worst of all was the look on Kirishima’s face. Was it a mix of delight and horror all rolled into one? What the hell was up with that reaction?! Now Bakugou was panicking inside, but no way he was gonna show them he was sweating it.

As they gathered in a circle around the bottle, Bakugou wills himself to keep it cool.

“Okay you guys should know the rules, right?” Mina questions the group. “Each person spins the bottle, then whoever it points to, you two will go to the...” she looks around for an appropriate place, “hmm, I guess the Rec Room since no ones using it. All the lights are kept off while your in there, and we’ll count down the time. What you do in there is your business. Everyone got it?”

When everyone nods, Mina pulls out a small bag that held each of their names and randomly pulls one out. “Let’s see who the first victim is,” she grins as she unfurls the piece of paper. “And that person is Kirishima! Spin the bottle Kiri!”

The boy gulps and crawls over to the middle of the circle. Kirishima closes his eyes, ‘please not...’ he gives the bottle a hard spin before scrambling back to his place.

Some of the group leans forward in anticipation while others just continue in side conversations. For Kirishima, the seconds felt like he was in some kind of trap just waiting to be squeezed to death. ‘Please don’t... Please don’t...’

It was Bakugou who gasps first, and all eyes turn to him the moment it stopped with the bottle pointing in his direction.

‘Dear god!’ Kirishima groans. It was the one person he didn’t want it to land on. He looks up to see a pissed off look on Bakugou’s face. Kiri gulps. “L-Look Baku, man if you don’t wanna do it...”

“Who said I didn’t shitty hair!” Bakugou jumps to his feet. “I said I’ll play this stupid game so let’s just get this shit over with.”

Kirishima scrambles to his feet, following after Bakugou who marched... yes, marched into the Rec room as if it were a battle waiting for them. Someone, possibly Kaminari snickered, “it was nice knowing ya Eijiro.” Those bastards! But when he reached the room and closed the door, he wondered, was it the end?

“Well, turn off the lights!” Bakugou barks out the order and Kirishima quickly complies. Just great, it really was pitch black in here and he didn’t really remember the layout. He hears and a thud and Kiri say oww, well at least he wasn’t the first to look like the idiot.

“Just stay still a minute.” Bakugou lights up a small flame in his hand and sees his buddy still close to the door. “Don’t move.” He walks over and when he’s close enough without any more obstacles, puts out his fire.

Kirishima reaches out towards Bakugou, his hands glancing off his buddy‘s chest. “S-sorry, didn’t want ya to hit the wall.”

“S’okay, Eijiro...”

“Did you just call me by first name?!”

“What?! No, I said Kiri.”

“No, I clearly heard what you said Bakugou. Dude, you’ve been acting a little weird lately.”

“I’ve not, I just got... things on my mind. You got a problem with that?!”

“No.”

Someone outside yells they’ve got 4 more minutes.

“Baku we can just stand here and talk till the time runs out. Oh, that reminds me, I got the new BabyMetal album if you wanna listen. Their song Distortion is pretty good but I kinda like Starlight...”

“Could you shut up?”

“Huh? Oh, yeah. Sorry, guess you just wanted to relax my bad.”

Thank goodness for the dark because if Kirushima could see his friend right now... Bakugou was fidgeting, turning red, and he was sure the AC was broken cause it was getting really warm in there.

“2 minutes!” Mina’s voice rings through the wall.

“Look, I just... it’s not that I wanna relax, okay, I’m just fucking nervous right now.”

“Nervous?” Kirishima was confused. He didn’t think he’d ever seen Bakugou nervous, not even at a fight. So, what about this was so bad? “Do you wanna talk about it?”

“I don’t wanna fucking talk! I wanna...”

“Wanna what?” Kirishima finds Bakugou’s shoulder and places his hand on it. “I’m your best bud, you can talk to me if something is bothering you. So, what is it?”

‘I wanna jump out the window’ “I can’t say it.”

“30 seconds!”

“That’s fine man, whenever you need it.” He squeezes Bakugou’s shoulder.

“Time!”

“Come on,” Kiri punches his friends chest, “lets go.”

“Wait,” Bakugou grabs his friends arm.

“But times up...”

“I-I’ll show you.”

“How, when we can’t see... Omph!”

The door opens from the outside and quickly flies shut leaving the two men back in darkness. They were too wrapped up to pay attention. But Kaminari, the one who had the misfortune of checking on them is in shock. He braces his back against the door, his face all red.

“Well, where are they?” Mina calls out. “Did they run away?”

“They’re kissing!”

I'm sending this ask publicly because I think your followers might me interested. As the beta for 'When A Star Falls', you mentioned that you listened to emotional music to get yourself into the mood. Do you usually listen to music when writing, or not? Do you listen to music with words, or does it make it hard to focus? For me, any music helps, but I'm wondering about what kind of environment you need to write.

Oh hey, cool! A random ask xD 

Okay, this is an interesting question. Allow me to type a lengthy response (as always).

It depends on where I am working and my current mood for writing.

If I am super inspired that ideas just flow, I don’t care about music or how loud the environment is. This works for any genre. Sometimes, I type things on my phone while I commute back home which means lots of car honking and pollution just out there to annoy every sense on you.

Generally, though, I prefer the quiet environment. This allows me to read my work aloud and actually talk to/scold myself especially if what I wrote felt dumb, but that isn’t the case at home and at the office - the two places I usually have the time to write.

I only have 2 things I consider when to play music/what music to play while writing. Links of the music are included.

1) Instrumental: Setting the mood/Picking parts. For “When A Star Falls,” it was my first time to write a fantasy work and a medieval fantasy setting too, so I had to get all the feelings of that first before I translate it to words. So I played lots of tavern music and RPG OST (like Skyrim and Dragon Age: Inquisition) for the setting. The fic also had the world of stellars as a setting that I had to give a magical feel. Unfortunately, I forgot my search term, but I listened to enchanted ones like this.

On parts that are emotional, I just really searched “anime romantic music” on Youtube xD because that’s how I want the romance to feel. When I wrote it, I imagined it as an anime movie playing in my mind, so I had to put “anime” as a search term. LOL and it worked, because I, too, cried so much when I finished it. 

On the beginning notes of the fic though, I did recommend listening to the BNHA OST, “Chokushi Dekinai Urarakasa” since I loved the feeling that that song gives and it plays too on Ochako’s important moment. Also, the fic plays a lot with the themes of “falling” and “light” both literally and figuratively, and I felt that that song fit. It makes me feel emotional but also light at the same time.

For my Halloween AU in the “Red Thread,” I played some sad Halloween music LOL. Like how Ragnarok Online’s Niflheim OST. That one immediately got my feels ongoing.

2) J-rock songs: Distracting myself to be focused. There are days that I gotta distract myself from my environment to actually be able to produce words. At times too, I want to distract myself from what I feel about my writing. Because sometimes, it’s frustrating to see the same words being used again and again, or just like why can’t I write it in a way that the feeling I want to convey is just in there? But I want to write and I know that I must write since a flawed draft is always better than a blank document. So to just continue writing and letting it all out without minding everything else, I play my usual kind of music - alternative rock or even screamo. I’m a huge fan of Jrock so I’d totally headbang to Man With A Mission, One Ok Rock (older songs though), Babymetal, The Oral Cigarettes, Back On, or other anime OSTs that are rock. while writing fluffy romance xD However, please note, I play these songs because I don’t have the lyrics memorized so I won’t subconsciously sing along (which makes writing harder for me). So as much as possible, I refrain from going with familiar songs and local songs that I might accidentally type the lyrics instead.

TDLR: I prefer silence, but if I’m on a writing block, instrumental is guaranteed to keep me writing. While rock songs help me fight inner and outer forces that hinder me from writing.
