Ok mum talked to me like an adult now that sheâs slept instead of sulking and apparently slamming the door as she came in was to âslam the door on meâ
#not as upset as earlier#and she waited to have dad drive her to the hospital but didnât wake me up to let me know so I could turn off do not disturb oops#and yeah I shouldâve just gone to bed earlier so I would be awake when I normally am#but usually in my days off I end up feeling so guilty about waking mum up that Iâll just stay in bed until noon or so hungry and all#so I stay up later without guilt#and I asked her if she wanted to go to the hospital bc I could take her to the city er and she said no so I didnât expect her to go with him#and then need a ride while I was still asleep#ACTUALLY WHILE IM AT IT#I DIDNT EVEN GET HER TO GET ME FROM THE ER WHEN I HAD DAD DROP ME OFF THERE LAST TIME EITHER#because I canât rely on her and sheâd be asleep and would probably tell me to take a taxi anyway#and so I didnât even expect her to answer the phone even if it woke her up let alone actually come get me from the hospital.#and another time I took the fucking bus#which. when Iâm in a condition to go to the hospital and then have to walk home from the bus stopâŠ#I should be better#but also đ I know itâs hard. but itâs been nearly a decade since I got my license and had to do everything myself#but it would be nice to be able to even *think* that you would do the same for me#and a VERY VERY PETTY part of me is like#ah yes. waiting for that long. I also had to wait that long at after grad when you swore you would be able to#family

I fell asleep at like 5 AM last night & when I woke up (around 12.30) my friend was asking me stuff like "did you sleep well? what do you want for breakfast?" ETC and I was literally processing NOTHING I just kept going "huh...? wha...?" I literally felt like. you know those pictures of kittens where they look really confused and scruffy & someone always says "this thing doesn't even know it's alive" ? well that was me. eventually I gained full consciousness and we had breakfast LOL
also while we were talking she told me at one point early this morning after our other friend left, she was getting back into bed 2 sleep some more and accidentally dropped her phone next to my head (I đ©· AIR MATTRESS) and APPARENTLY I immediately grabbed it and would not let go & she kept telling me "Dante this isn't your phone this is MY phone!!!" and according her I just kept like. clutching it while complaining the way half-asleep people often do. until I suddenly let go and went back to sleep đđđ
I'm home now BTW & when I was saying bye 2 her she asked me very seriously "you know the way to the bus stop right??" and I went "OF COURSE I know the way dw dw" but she still gave me some directions when I told her like "I have to go this way and that way" and then we said bye (after saying bye to her entire family also đ) and I started walking towards the bus stop just completely confident like "I'm better at directions now there's NO way I'd get lost" and you will NEVER guess what happened next ....
#I got there eventually just by like; combing through the area til I found it LOL#other times when ppl who don't know me that well give me directions like ''it's right there you can't possibly miss it''#you have no fucking clue what you're up against .....#diary#w/ my friends + family it's constantly like#''remember that time you took the bus the opposite way or when you ended up walking in a completely different direction#or when you got off at the right stop but didn't understand how the streets worked and kept walking til the park#that's about 20 minutes away from the house you were supposed to be in? or when-''#there's literally so many times I've gotten lost in seemingly impossible ways LOL#just another reason one of them should get a car & drive me everywhere.....#I know I'm meant to be a passenger princess I just know it

OBSESSED with the whole american x 141 man combo. smut ahead!
Not necessarily giving up your identity when you move out of the US, just wanting to explore different cultures and see new things. Then you meet one of the boys, maybe itâs Kyle or Johnny, and they introduce you to your actual, literal husband within a week of knowing you. And Simon Riley isnât a bad guy, they tell you, just a little rough around the edges. And youâre young, in a new country, you flew on a plane for the first time to get here and it didnât go down so you feel invincibleâ and you fuck Simon Riley.Â
The mask isnât even in the equation, he wonât wear it when heâs not on a mission or on base, and heâs got a scar on his cheek thatâs textured when you grab his face and kiss him. He tastes like bourbon. You taste like vodka and lime. He lays you down on your hotel mattress and spreads your legs and calls you love while heâs fucking you.Â
âFuck, lovie, like that. Take it like that.â you thought maybe the accent would make it too funny to be sexy but there might be something to be said about pavlovâs dog and the bell hereâŠ.Â
Heâs so big and so on top of you and heâs pushing your legs to your chest to pin you underneath him while he fucks you. You feel sorry for the other people on the floor the next morning but in moment all you can think is Simon, Simon, Simon and all you can do is beg him donât stop, donât stop, donât stopâÂ
Youâre so happy you got your IUD before you started traveling.Â
Simon says sometimes he thinks he did it in the wrong order. You fucked and then he took you out to dinner. You tell him sometimes you wish he would have let you ride him that night. He remedies your wishes immediately, all the time.Â
Did you know thereâs only one Taco Bell in all of England? You crave chalupaâs so intensely that you once rode a train for an hour and a bus for three just to have the worst Taco Bell of your life. Did you know that almost 50% of Americans own a gun or are proficient with one? Color 141 the most surprised theyâve ever been when you go to a gun range while theyâre stationed in Texas and Simon tries to teach you gun safety but you correct him the entire time.Â
âI used to go hunting with my dad, Si, I know this.â and then you have decently good grouping thatâs just a little to the left and Johnny tries to show you how itâs really done andâ misses entirely.Â
âIs that how itâs done, Johnny?â you taunt, smiling so cheekily that Simon canât keep his own smile off his face.Â
âListen up, bonnie, Iâve done more training-âÂ
âDoesnât seem like it to me.â you mumble. Simon swear he can see the steam coming out of Johnnyâs ears.Â
âLass, so help me God, if you donât-âÂ
âPoor baby, Johnny,â you frown, still taunting him, your hips sway as you walk up to him and take his face into your hands, âDid you get beat in a shooting contest by a civvie? Will you live to see another day?â You shake his head in your hands and Johnny goes red for a completely different reason than his pride and anger. Johnnyâs hands twitch, Simon can see him reaching for your sides as you release his face and step away from him. Soon, Simon wants to tell him, sheâs going to tell you soon.
#guuuuuyyyyyysssss please don't judge me for not knowing anything about the UK#I know i could have googled it but im just a little rat okay#I don't know anything#simon riley smut#simon riley x reader#simon ghost riley#ghost x reader smut#ghost smut#ghost cod#ghost mw2#smut

#i had a training today about how civilians need to act in active attack situations#and a school shooting that happened here a few years ago got brought up#the entire time the cop that was leading the training was really respectful about everything except during this one part#she said that it took some cops 6 months to a year to be able to return to duty after what they saw that day#which i respect and all that bc that shit is traumatic at fuck#but she didn't say shit about the students having to return#like i'm pretty sure the students had a week or two before the school opened again but they had to go back so fast#to the place where it happened#and she basically just dismissed that#i'm sure she didn't do it on purpose but it really fucking bothered me and hours later it still is#and there were probably at least one or two people in the room who went to that school and were there on that day#that training was really hard#we had to watch a video of this teacher from sandy hook talking and jfc man#a lot of us were trying not to cry for a lot of it#shit's fucked but all of us in that room work with kids so it was really hitting hard for us#it's forced me to think about what my experience was on the day of that local school shooting which is always really difficult#i was in high school and my mom called me while i was walking to the bus stop#and told me that there was an active shooter at this high school about 30 mins away#so i went to school that day knowing there was an active shooter at another high school so close to mine#the entire day every time i heard a door slam or someone run down the hallway i was flinching#it didn't really sink in how close that was to me until i got to college and started meeting people who went to that school#today's not a good day and i'm glad it's almost over

Sorry if I am not as good about tagging stuff for the foreseeable future. I shattered the screen of my tablet (to the point where there are chunks missing and glass dust coming off under your fingers and you can see the electronics under the screen), and I normally use that + a keyboard case to browse tumblr. Iâm using my phone now which means a.) no physical keyboard, and b.) I donât have as much battery life so my time is more limited. I do not see a point where I can replace the tablet or get it fixed anytime soon either.
All that coupled with the fact that I normally use tumblr in a browser, not the mobile app, means itâs a lot harder to tag things now, especially if I canât just tap to apply OPâs/the rebloggerâs tags because they didnât add any or i donât like what they used etc.. Tumblr mobile is honestly tiny and kind of crap on my phone browser - the keyboard makes the screen elements squish together and some things like tag rearranging are broken.
TL;DR: You may possibly see more untagged posts from me in the coming weeks. I apologize, understand if you unfollow, and just. Yeah. I guess I just wanted to explain myself as I normally pride myself on my tagging etiquette.
#i was so sad when it happened#it actually fell like 10 ft because I dropped it while going down the stairs#right in front of my sister and brother in law too#we all froze and they audibly gasped when i picked it up and the glass chips fell on the floor#i walked back to the kitchen to begin making my lunch and i could tell they were horrified because they just stood there in the doorway#in silence#they know how much i use/depend on/love my tablet iâm on it so much and i use it as my primary computing device#so they just stood there in horrified silence while i walked away and my BIL asked if i needed anything and i said no iâm good#and i sounded so normal???? which i hated because i was very much NOT okay like after they left i say in the living room petting their dog#and crying a bit#idk why my default response to situations like this is to pretend everythingâs fine??#i know HOW i can do- being in the closet for a decade will make you a great actor#but iâve been out for ANOTHER decade now#i thought i had worked past that instinct#apparently not#fuck that took forever to type on my tiny ass keyboard AND i lost 2% battery while i did it#fuck this#i donât even need the tablet that badly i can fall back to my ancient laptop for most things#but now i have to sit in my room alone to do all my tumbling instead of introvert socializing on the couch with my sister and BIL#i think i cried mostly because life just keeps kicking me#i quit my awful awful job on the verge of a mental breakdown and then proceeded to take a full fucking year to realize the trauma from that#was WAY worse than i had originally thought and i was straight up mentally no longer able to work in IT/computer programming anymore#i lost my apartment and i literally would have been living in my car until that got repossessed too and then been homeless#if it wasnât for my family offering me financial support and a place to live#and i am SO privileged to have a support network that is both willing and able to help me out like that#but sometimes i have a panic spiral when i think about the fact that i could have EASILY become another statistic#another person who became unhoused because of mental health struggles at the perfectly wrong time#without my family i would have been living in a bus stop enclosure by now#it terrifies me how close i came to that. a homeless person came up to me and asked for money the other day and i almost started crying#both because of how scared i was that that could have been (and still could eventually be) me

Yandere Batfam & Neglected Reader Prt. 2
Okay, so I didn't realize how much building I was gonna do around (Y/n's) social life so this chapter is honestly about knowing (y/n). Anyways, the next chapter will be from the batfam's pov and focus more on the yandere bits! Hope you enjoy this chapter tho!
Tag List!: @sitepathos @ferakillia @uknowimdumb @shycreatorreview @niggrrooo @dhanyasri @cantfindmelol @space1crow @earth-to-mee @rosecentury @yuyuzi-ling @simpingfor-wakasa @bat1212 @sheepintherain @person-from-daaaa-voidddd @resident-cryptid @cupids-pretty-boy @danni1323
The change started slowly on a normal evening, an evening like every other. It was a football season game day, the big match between the Gotham City High Bats and the Gotham Prep Knights. For the rich prep kids, this was nothing more than another game, but for your school, this game was everything. This would help your school get the recognition and funding it deserves, and allow some students to be scouted and rewarded for their talent.
Not only that, but Gotham Prep always, every season goes to state, beating out all the other public schools in the city. They havenât lost a game since the early 80s so there was a lot riding on this game.Â
Your role, funnily enough, was representing the school as one of the Gotham City High school cheerleaders. Turns out that the gymnastics classes you took before were actually useful for purposes other than trying to impress Dick. You surprisingly took to cheerleading like a fish to water, liking the competitiveness and sense of belonging that came from joining the team.Â
Anyways, you, the cheer team, and the football team were on a bus headed towards the bigger, better Gotham Prep football field. The bus was loud with music and schoolmates hyping each other up for the big game. Ethan, a friend of yours on the football team was nervously shaking his leg and squeezing his helmet so hard you thought it would crack.
Both you and your friend Arya noticed.
âEthan, the game hasnât even started yet and I already see a crack forming on your helmet.â You said jokingly, a gentle arm on his shoulder.
He startled, âJesus Christ (Y/n) warn a guy next time.â Ethan spoke, offering a nervous smile.
âYou need to stop freaking out bro. When you do, it freaks out the others on the team.â Arya gently said.
âI know, I know butâ but thereâs just a lot riding on this game. For a lot of us, this is our only way to get out of Gotham, and if we screw up the finals, weâll be stuck here forever.â Ethan said solemnly, looking around at all his teammates.
âWell then good thing you guys arenât gonna lose. Yâall have spent two years training to make this comeback, to make sure that Gotham City High finally gets this win. I promise youâve worked harder than those assholes at Gotham Prep, so just go out there and put your training to use. Donât let your nerves get to you, you have no reason to.â You calmly said.
âYeahâyeah, we have trained harder, haven't we? Yeah, youâre right! We've just gotta go out there and play like we've practiced.â Ethan exclaimed, as if suddenly realizing why he should have confidence in himself and his team.
âExactly!â Arya said, matching his enthusiasm and hitting Ethan playfully on the shoulder.Â
The rest of the bus ride to the stadium was louder than ever, the coach and other teammates taking turns to hype up the more nervous members, to get them confident for the field. Everything was about normal once everyone made it to the stadium. The band was set up, and people were flooding the bleachers. It wasnât until the last ten minutes before the game when normalcy died.
âHey (Y/n), isnât that your family?â A girl, Maya, says.
Loâ and behold, Bruce Wayne and his entire gaggle of children were sitting on the home side of the bleachers, sporting Gotham Prep t-shirts.Â
âWhatâoh, youâve got to be fucking kidding me. What the hell are they doing here, they donât even like football like that!?â You shout in frustration.
It was then when you remembered a conversation Dick, Bruce, and Damian had at the dinner table. Something about how it would help Damian out if he started going to school events and games, getting him acclimated to what being a normal teenager was like. That was all fine and dandy, but you didn't think the entire damn family was going to show up. Oh, the gossip columns are gonna have a field day with this. You could already imagine the headlines, âBruce Wayne openly isolates daughter (Y/n) Wayneâ or even, âThe Wayne Family once again publicly shows dislike for daughter (Y/n) Wayne.â
You rolled your eyes at the thought, you had bigger things to worry about right now.
âAre you good (Y/n)?â Arya questions softly.Â
She was one of the only people who you spoke your sorrows to, one of the only people who actually knows of just how lonely you were. Of course everyone knew that Bruce Wayne and his family didn't really like you very muchâ thank you Vicky valeâ but nobody but Arya and Ethan really understood the crux of your situation.Â
âYeah, I'm all good bro, don't worry about it. Just focus on the game.â You said dismissively. It didn't bother you anymore, sure it hurt a little bit, but this was expected.
âAlright, its time to shake hands with the other team, everyone line up!â the football Coach, Coach Daniels, all but yelled.
You sighed, moving to the front of the line for the cheerleaders; you were team captain after all. Both the football teams and cheerleaders made their way to the center of the field where they met. You looked back at the rest of your team, you all knew that this was going to be an unpleasant interaction, it always was. The Gotham Prep cheer captain walked up to you, disdain and poorly concealed disgust on her face. You all quickly shook hands, trying to get this exhausting ordeal done and over with, but of course the other captain had to open her mouth.
âYou lower end city girls sure have your own sense of style.â Darla, which was basically code for calling you and your team sluts. Wow, how original.
âYou should see whatâs underneath the jacket.â You replied, giving her a sharp smile.
She floundered, clearly expecting her insult to rile you and your team up.Â
âUgh, as expected of Bruce Wayneâs biggest embarrassment. You sad Daddy doesn't like you? Or maybe sheâs just glad she gets to mooch off of him before he ends up disowning her.â Another girl pipes up, drawing mind grating giggles from the rest of their team. You recognized her, she was the daughter of some hot-shot CEO.
You just tiredly look back at your team, a few of them getting angry on your behalf while others looked to you in concern.Â
âWhat, not going to say anything?â The other captain haughtily questioned.Â
âI mean, what exactly is the response youâre expecting? Yeah, Bruce Wayne doesn't like me, but at least I didn't have to buy my way into the cheer team or have my daddy pay to make sure I wasn't held back.â You stated boredly.
She was silent in shock, right before the anger came bursting through.
âYou whore! Iâm going to fuck you up, take you to court and sue you!â She shrieked.
âYouâre going to sue me? You mean sue Bruce Wayne?â You snorted, âLike thatâll ever happen. And bitch, you couldnât fight if your life depended on it, so next time you threaten me rememberâI can and will beat the ever-loving shit outta you.â
That must have sparked some fear in her because she just turned around and led her team back to their side of the field. Youâre sure others noticed your altercation, obviously having no idea what was being said, but it was clear to both sides of the field that nothing good was said. Youâre ready to turn back to your side when you accidentally make eye contact with Tim. The cold, calculating look in his eyes has you shifting in discomfort, you quickly look away as the cheer team and football players head back to their respective sides.
The players took their place onto the field while your team got into formation.
âAright guys, thisâs the big one! Give it all you got, just like we practiced!â You yelled.
Just like that, the whistle blew signaling that the game started.Â
By the time you reach half time, Gotham Prep is fifteen points ahead of Gotham High. Your school does its low budget halftime performance which pales in comparison to the extravagant Gotham Prep performance. Your side of the stadium grows louder, louder in support of the football team. Before you know it, the boys are lining up for the second half of the game. Thankfully, Gotham High shoots up in points, the score now becoming 34 to 29. The issue is, the game is starting to come to an end with only two minutes on the clock. The crowd is loud, but everyone knows it'll be damn near impossible for Gotham High to win now. The only way to win would be to score a touch-down, which would bring Gotham High to 35 points.
It isn't until the 36 second mark when Ethan sees an opening and makes a run for it with the ball. The crowd is booming, your own voice adding to the mix of cheers and shouts.Â
âCome on Ethan! Come on!â You yell, voice undoubtedly hoarse.
There's 5 seconds on the clock when Ethan dives over an opposing player and rolls into the other team's touchdown zone. The score board changes, the numbers now showcasing 34 to 35. Gotham City High with 35. Everyone goes crazy. You and Arya are holding each other jumping up and down. Holy shit, yall won! The football team was celebrating on the field, as theyâre announced as the winners, a big trophy being handed into Ethan and his team's hands. And by tradition, you, Arya and the coach go grab the large gatorade barrel and proceed to soak the football team with it. There are yelps and laughs but everyone knows what it means, it means âyouâve wonâ. You and Arya run up to Ethan launching into him, uncaring of the gatorade now soaking your uniforms.Â
It was a good day, a happy day. Everyone started loading up into the buses, starving for the victory dinner at Taco Bell. You honestly, truly forget that the Bats were even here. Shit hits the fan however, when you're in the middle of messing up a chalupa and Bruce Wayne and the rest of his brood walk in, making awkward eye contact with you. You promptly proceed to choke, Arya hitting your back to get you to stop. You do, but holy shit was that embarrassing. Also, what in the ever-loving fuck were they doing here!?Â
Before you could voice your utter disbelief, another familiar face barrels into your table. Oh great.
âHey ladies, howâd you like the game? Betcha I looked good on the field.â The voice of Adrien, a freshman player on the team, made itself known.Â
He even made it a point to flex his arm muscles, hoping to impress you and Arya. You both just looked at each other before bursting out laughing. This poor freshman has been trying to get with y'all all year, despite you and Arya being sophomores. His god-awful attempts at flirting were absolutely adorable and downright hilarious.Â
âGuys please don't laugh, I promise I have better pick up lines.â he begs, his demeanor that of a kicked puppy.
âI'm sorry man, you're just too adorable, we can't take you seriously.â Arya says amused.
âWhy don't you go talk to one of the freshman cheerleaders? I'm sure I heard Hiba and Darla talking about how good you did on the field.â You pipped in.
âNo way! Are you serious!? Oh-uh, gotta blast ladies! See âya around!â Adrien stutters, excitedly scrambling off to go find the girls you mentioned.
You and Arya broke off again into a fit of laughter.
âWere you guys teasing Adrien again?â Comes a lighthearted scold from Ethan.
âNot anymore than usual. Plus, I think we finally got him to pursue girls in his own grade.â You responded, a smug smile on your face.
Ethan just chuckled before sitting down with you and Arya. You all talked and laughed some more, your mood only being slightly soured by the Wayne familyâs presence at the table across from yours. You did your best to avoid their not-so-casual glances in your direction. Why they were here is a can of worms you had to marinate on later. But for now, you'd just enjoy the rest of your night.
It didn't take long before everyone started getting ready to leave. Some students had their parents come pick them up, probably to go celebrate the school's victory with their families, whilst everyone else was getting ready to load back up into the buses and head to the school where parents would be waiting for their kids. You, however, would be biking back to the manor on your own. Sure both Aryaâs and Ethanâs parents had offered you a ride, but you had declined. There was no need for them to go out of their way for you, especially when they should be spending their time celebrating with their children. Youâd honestly just ruin the mood with your shitty circumstances.
So as you threw away the last of your trash and started walking to leave the restaurant, you were not expecting to be stopped, let alone stopped by Bruce Wayne. You froze, not knowing what to do. What did he want?
â(Y/n),â He started, voice lacking any tell-tale emotions, âno need to get on the bus, youâll be riding home with us.â
You noticed immediately how he didn't really give you a choice, just an order meant to be followed. You swallowed nervously, you did not, under any circumstances want to be in a car with any of them.
âThere's no need for that Bruce, Iâum actually left my bike back at the school and I can't just leave it there soâŠyeah. IâllâI'll see you back at the manor.â You said nervously. You weren't used to talking to him and to be quite frank he scared you.
Bruce of course took note of the fact you had not called him âdadâ or âfatherâ and had called home, âthe manorâ instead. This is when Dick decided to chime in.
âWhat, you're not going to bike all the way back home, are you?â Dick jested sarcastically.
âUh, yeah? It's how I get back home everyday.â You mention abashed. Did they seriously not even know how you got home? Whatever, youâre too tired for this.
Bruce and Dick glance at each other, their shared look holding a meaning you couldn't understand.
âWell, it doesn't matter. Youâll just ride home with us from now on.â Dick stated, faux cheer in his voice.Â
âWhaâwhat? Hold up, I canât just leave without my bike! Itâs gonna get stolen orââ
âWeâll get a new one, now stop fussin' and get a move on,â Jason grumbles, cutting you off.
You just sigh in defeat. Why the hell are they doing this? Why now? In the end, your questions don't matter as you get marched over to the waiting Rolce Royce Limo. That was when Arya and Ethan noticed you walking away from the bus, not even noticing the Waynes in their hurry to catch up to you.
âHey (Y/n), why are âyaâoh.â Arya yells out before going silent after noticing the intimidating figure of Bruce Wayne and the even more intimidating figure of Jason Todd.
âOh, hey guys. Soâuh, I actually have a ride back to the manor now so I'm all good.â You say awkwardly.
âThat'sâthat's great! But, what about your bike bro?â Ethan questions worriedly, the awkward and almost tense energy affecting him.
âI'm just going to pray and hope that it's still there when I come back for it tomorrow.âYou answer tiredly.
âDamn, well, get home safe and get some sleep. Weâll see you soon girl.â Arya says, hugging you.
You hug her back.
âYou too guys, get home safe. And Ethan, good job on the field bro, weâre all super proud of you.â You voice, a small smile on your face while you give him a hug.
âThanks (Y/n), couldn't have done it without yâall hyping me up.â He says.
âAlright, alright no more sappy, corny lines. Now get on the bus before Coach Daniels pops another blood vessel.â You joke.
âShit, I didn't even realize that was him yelling! Ethan, we gotta go! See ya (Y/n).â Arya exclaims, practically dragging Ethan to the bus with her.
You wave at them, your smile slowly disappearing as you realize you're about to have the worst fifteen minutes of your life on this car ride. The staring you were trying to ignore when talking to your friends was more prevalent now, making you anxious as you entered the car, squirming and fiddling uncomfortably in your seat as everyone else piled in.
You internally sighed as you heard the door shut and the car engine start. Perhaps itâd be better if you drank acid and died instead, but alas, it was too late for any of that.Â
Youâd just do your best to stay quiet and avoid the eyes boring into your very being.

"Danny!" Danny turned around to find Plasmius, gunning straight for him on his motorbike, and came to a quick stop as if he wasn't about to run him over. "You need to keep your alternative self on a leash. You hear me?"
Danny took one long sip of his tea, staring Plasmius straight in the eyes, savored the taste for a moment before swallowing. "Nuh uh."
"What do you mean 'Nuh uh'!?"
"Nuh uh."
Plasmius straight up hissed, red eyes glowing from beyond his pair of sunglasses as he stared the teenager down. "Do you know how many times he's woken me up, before the sun itself is up, just to annoy me into spending valuable hours of my time with him!?"
Danny took another sip of his tea, reaching a hand under his shirt to scratch his stomach. "That sounds like a you problem, really."
"Da-"
"You know he's also made from you right? If I had to fight him, you're going to be annoyed by him." Danny stated plainly, making a gesture with his thermos. "Also, it's a bonus for me since you're too busy to do your frootloop things-"
Plasmius grabbed Danny by the back of his shirt and wrinkled his nose. "You really need to get better pajamas than a simple shirt and oversized pants." He placed the boy under his arm and took the sky. Danny idly shifted to Phantom as he took another sip. "So like, where're you taking me?"
"To go and put stop to that imbecile."
"You know I had plans today."
"Ice cream for a month, all from my card."
Phantom humed. "Make it two."
"Deal."
Phantom flexed his fingers. "...Three..."
"Doable."
"Oh, you're actually serious about this."
A drive later
You see, Dan was having the time of his life. Strongarming that old man at the asscrack of dawn, driving to Metroplis and causing mass amounts of property damage with the crown jewel being that he got to chase around Superman in an attempt to run him over.
He should've expected something to go wrong.
One moment, he was casually minding his business, trying to trample one of the Earth's greatest heroes under his motorbike. The next he was nearly knocked off of it when something slammed into him.
"Ello." Phantom said calmly, as if he wasn't just thrown by Plasmius right into his alternative self from a future that no longer exists. "Twerp." Dan also said 'calmly' as he grabbed onto Phantom and lifted him off of him.
Then dropped him.
Superman was very quick to catch the boy. "Thanks." Phantom said, and Superman smiled. "You're welcome! Are you here to pick him up now, or are you just waiting?"
"I'm getting three months worth of ice cream if I stop him now so like, pick him up I guess."
Superman help him up under the armpits and faced him towards Dan. "He's here to pick you up, by the way!"
"I fucking heard that!" Dan shouted at Superman before turning his attention to Phantom. "Also, what the fuck! You can't just do that! Did that old fuck put you up to this!?"
"Whaaaat? Noooo, he would neveeer..." Phantom glanced around, looking for Plasmius before clicking his tongue. There was an unfortunate lack of said halfa to throw under the bus. "If you stop for like, now, I'll share some of my ice cream with you."
Dan genuinely considered this proposal. "Know what, fine." He yanked Phantom from Superman's hold and dropped him onto the seat beside him before driving away.
"Enjoy your ice cream!" Superman shouted.
"Shut the fuck up boy scout!" Dan shouted back.

bizarre thought.....shadow entity!ghost..... @sgtgarricks is responsible for this!!!
i already want to write another part to this LMAOOOOOOO
part : two
when you first moved into your new house, you knew it was old and had been vacant for a looooong time. it had a bizarre history of people living there and moving out months, even weeks later. most people declined offering a reason for their quick move but others would just vaguely supply that the 'energy was dark in that house', you weren't bothered.
it was a nice, big, house and for damn cheap too. you weren't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.
your first nights in the house, you understood what they meant. there was something off about the house for sure. at random times, you would feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, as if alerting you to danger. when you would turn around, there was nothing there. but it would leave you with sweaty palms and a racing heart.
it wasn't until a week into your new life that the first weird thing happened. it was like something from a stereotypical horror movie. you heard a strange sound and got out of bed to investigate. when you got to your kitchen, all the cabinets and drawers were open and your kitchen chairs were placed on top of your table -- which had also been moved across the kitchen.
you tried to take some deep breaths to calm yourself as you returned everything back to normal. you went over and over in your head for some kind of explanation for the event before finally landing on the fact that this house was fucking haunted.
strange events kept happening after that. lights would turn on, your kitchen cabinets would be open, sinks and showers would turn on, doors would slam from across the house. you were losing sleep over it. every single night you'd be woken up by some strange event and you were beginning to understand why the past tenants had moved out so fast.
this was a rotten way to live.
the final straw for you was the night the activity really seemed to ramp up. whatever spirit was haunting you wanted you out now. multiple doors slammed, jolting you from your sleep -- your heart racing from how hard you had been startled from your dreams. you got to your feet and turned on your lamp only to find it wasn't working.
next, you tried the overhead light. same thing.
fuck. it had caused the power to bust.
now you were really scared.
you grabbed your phone, using the flashlight to navigate your way out of the bedroom. the floorboards creaked beneath you, considerably louder without the hum of electricity.
you were halfway down the hall when you heard it. quiet at first, but definitely there. footsteps. mimicking your own, as if echoing after you took your own steps, making sure you knew it was there.
you spun around, shining the light upon nothing. you let out a heavy breath, noticing the way the flashlight shook from how hard you were trembling.
"a-alright, ghost," you called into the empty house, too scared to feel stupid that you were talking to nothing, "i-i'll admit i'm pretty scared right now. i-i know you probably want me out of your house. this is your house, i get it. bu-but i already sunk all my damn savings into moving in here s-so i can't leave!" you swallow, a loud gulping sound that would be funny if you weren't about to piss yourself, "s-so if we could just live together for a little while longer. i-i promise i'll get out the second i have the money!"
there was nothing but tense silence. you felt like an idiot the more seconds that passed. were you trying to make a deal with a fucking ghost? a spirit of someone who probably died in this house? what kind of shit had your life become?
you peered into the inky blackness of the hallway, blinking as you try to futilely see. it takes you a moment to realize you're not just staring into the darkness of your hallway. it's something else.
pure darkness. a dark entity taking form in the blackness of the night. you want to step back, primal fear coursing through you like you never felt before. whatever fear you were feeling was primordial in nature -- as if this entity was something you were born to fear.
the darkness began to swallow up the hallway, eating away at the light your flashlight had created. the air felt heavy and oppressive, making it difficult to take in oxygen.
you swear you could feel hands on you, grabbing you and pulling at you. the longer you stared into the darkness, the more you thought you could see things. eyes. hundreds of eyes. but when you blinked, the images vanished.
then, all at once, the entity was gone and your light was shining down the hallway again unimpeded. after another second, the sound of the electricity slamming back on filled the house and you collapsed to your knees.
whatever that was, it was dangerous. you knew that now.
but it didn't hurt you. perhaps it agreed to your terms and would leave you be now?
oh how wrong you were. sure, it wasn't nearly as scary as that night but now you saw it.
around every turn.
you could see the shadow take shape from the corner of your eye but when you looked, it would be gone. you would be brushing your teeth and when you looked in the mirror, it stood behind you, making your heart leap out of your chest. when you would turn, it wasn't there.
you were no longer woken up in the night, at least. but you weren't sure if you preferred the regular haunting stuff to seeing the ghost or not. you were on the fence about which was worse.
after another scare from the ghost, you jumped so hard that you almost fell over, "alright you -- ghost! will you quit scaring me like that!?" you found yourself shrieking.
to your abject horror, you heard laughter in return.
the shadow shit was fucking laughing at you. like it was enjoying this.
it wasn't evil laughter either. it sounded like pure enjoyment.
you suppose it wasn't out of the realm of possibility for a ghost to make sounds but it didn't make it any less horrifying.
you started talking to it more after that. once you heard its voice - sort of- it became easier. the fear also dissipated in time. sure it would jump scare you from time to time to get a laugh but other than that, it became like living with a really annoying roommate.
"will you get out of my mirror!" you snapped, mouth full of toothpaste with you facemask on. its disappearance was marked with its mirthful laughter.
you also noticed as the days and weeks passed, it stopped looking like a shapeless shadow and more like a person -- a big one at least. well over 7 feet tall. if you looked for long enough, you could almost make out what you think is a skull where the face would be on a human.
one night, you're laying in bed, comfortable. there's rain pelting outside on your window and distant thunder, too nice of weather to sleep away. so you just choose to relax and listen to it.
"ghost?" you find yourself calling into the darkness, "are you there?"
its silent but you feel the air grow heavy and you know that it's arrived. it seems to have...consciousness, you realized. it reacts to you and listens to you. there's one thing that's been plaguing you that you want to ask, though you're not sure if it will answer -- if it can answer.
"you're not really a ghost are you?" you ask.
you're greeted by silence for several, long seconds before you hear it. it's deep and masculine, a whisper of an echo following its voice when it speaks as if multiple things were speaking but only one voice was amplified, "no."
it's the answer you were expecting but that didn't mean you liked it. you swallow harshly around the lump of anxiety in your throat.
"are you going to hurt me?" you ask it, dreading the answer to this one. just because it's been toying with you doesn't mean it's not still dangerous.
"no," it responds again. you can hear footsteps, the entity walking closer and closer to your bed.
you let out a relieved breath at that. though, you're not sure if you should actually believe the dark entity that lives in your house. but at this point, you've really got no choice except to take it's word for it.
"what's your name?" you find yourself asking it.
"ghost," it responds quickly.
you laugh at that, "no, you're real name."
"ghost," it insist, "you gave me a name."
a lightbulb goes off over your head.
"is that why you're being so nice to me?" you ask, not sure if 'nice' is the appropriate word to use.
"i wanted a name," it answers, "you gave me one."
"a name in exchange for living in this house," you muse, deciding to roll over in bed, "alright then. goodnight, ghost."
"rest well," it responds before vanishing, freeing the room from that oppressive feeling.
you close your eyes and will yourself to fall asleep, briefly wondering where ghost even came from and what exactly it was.
this is unedited i wrote it in a fury of inspiration i hope u enjoyed it regardless of how WEIRD this was LMFAOOOOOOOOOO

Masterlist || Bingo Board
You'd met him at the library, as if the world wanted you to forever associate the comfort you found in between the pages of a worn book with the man that tried to end your life. At first, you'd thought it a coincidence, then he'd flashed a smile at you, and you'd believed it to be fate, drawn in by the charm he wore as a disguise.Â
Your first date was sweet, flowers and dinner. Your second date was sweeter, and they kept on that way. Sugar dropped into your ears until you were floating on cloud nine, right as he turned his charm off.Â
âReally?â He started one day, his tone accusing from the get-go.Â
âWhat?âÂ
âYou're really going to eye fuck that man in front of me?â His voice was loud enough to catch notice in the small cafĂ© you'd joined him in for the morning, and all the life drained out of your face.Â
âI'm not- what?â
âNo, forget it,â he chuffed, taking another sip of his drink and turning away from you.Â
You noticed it more and more from then on, how he would accuse you of small things like looking at other men, like you had the choice to ignore them when they were shop clerks, bus drivers and just fucking people living their lives.Â
Your friends were even weirded out when you joked with them about it, telling them all about your silly boyfriend who ripped a poster off your wall because it had some actor or singer or something on it. It wasn't even that important to you, but as you laughed, you were greeted with silence, with sideways glances and concerning questions.Â
It was all starting to crumble, and there was nothing you could do to stop it but cling on.Â
The next thing was his pushiness. You'd been up front with him at the beginning of the relationship that you were a virgin, something that he was more than happy about.Â
He'd said it was because he was a man of God, and he understood your commitment, which confused you as you weren't a virgin for religious reasons. But you brushed it off as everything else about him was so⊠gentlemanly?Â
Until he started pushing his hands up your thighs when he kissed you. He tried multiple times to push his fingers into your underwear as you tried to pull back, each time apologizing immediately when you displayed more panicked displeasure.Â
âI'm sorry, something must have⊠The devil got to me for a second there, Y/N, but I won't let him win.â He kissed the top of your head, and he walked you to your door before giving you another chaste kiss and leaving.Â
They found the first body the next morning.
She was young, maybe 16 or 17. Beaten, raped, mutilated, and asphyxiated. They said he'd kept raping her body long after she'd taken her last breath. It took them two weeks to notify her parents because of the way he'd left her.Â
You'd watched the news report the same week with your boyfriend, shocked and horrified at the news and cuddling closer to him for comfort.Â
Each step you came closer to him, each time you allowed him to touch you, he took it as a sign of his ownership, his claim on you. Not a single other person could get in between him and his prize. Each time you rejected him, he killed another girl.Â
By body five, they'd called in the BAU.Â
âDid you hear they're bringing in the FBI to solve that Cathy Renaud case? It's all over the news. Apparently, the team is super special.âÂ
You'd brought up the words while cooking him breakfast. He didn't live with you, but any good girlfriend would feed their man, so he woke you up every day on his way to work to let you prepare him something.Â
His whole attention was on his phone, though, as he nodded through your conversation, grunting and moaning at each word.Â
It was only when you brought him his plate of pancakes that you realized that he was just as interested in the subject as you were. Because he was staring at the photos of the girl he mutilated the night before.Â
You didn't want to think about everything that happened after that. After the plate fell to the floor and cracked, splintering into your foot and causing you your first injury in a long line.Â
You didn't want to think about the things he showed you, the way he touched you, or at least tried to. You heaved and wretched and emptied your stomach every single time you thought about the restraints on your wrists, how he'd tried to rape you but couldn't bring himself to do it because you weren't young enough anymore. You weren't dead enough. Â
Instead, every time you thought back to that week, you found yourself back at the end. You replayed the bullet lodging into his brain as a comfort, which told you more than you needed to know about your mental state. It was Spencer Reid who'd shot him. He'd been quick enough to realize that the man would never have been talked down, and he'd fired the shot as a mercy to you. He may have killed your boyfriend, putting him down like he was a sick animal, but you were the one put out of your misery.Â
He didn't stop to watch the body hit the floor before falling to your side, the other agents clearing the room and checking the corpse. He'd helped you to your feet, drawn an arm around your waist and pushed your head into his chest so you didn't have to see the carnage on the way out, didn't have to deal with the camera flashes as the press scrambled for pictures of the monster's willing victim.Â
âOne step at a time, this isn't your fault. Just stick with me,â he said, moving you from the house to a waiting van as you clasped his vest desperately, needing the lifeline he'd thrown you.Â
âMa'am, ma'am. I'm a paramedic, I won't hurt you, I just need to take your vitals, make sure you're okay.âÂ
The voice was vague and in the distance, and you were so sure it wasn't directed at you that you simply let yourself wrap around the man who'd saved you when you got to the ambulance. Nothing else was around but his chest, his hand on your back, your legs wrapped around him as they finally gave out.Â
âMa'am⊠Please, you're injured-âÂ
âY/N,â he spoke finally, and you grabbed him tighter, nails digging into the skin at his neck.Â
âYou're Y/N, right? We've been looking for you for a long time. I'm not going anywhere, I won't let anyone hurt you.âÂ
The words were enough to reassure you, pulling back slightly as the paramedics began working on you, but not enough for you to embrace their touch. You clambered away from the paramedic the moment you saw he was a man, close in build and coloring to the corpse in the building behind you.Â
You screamed, you cried, you pounded at the doors as Spencer held to you him, letting the paramedics sedate you, rocking you to sleep on the step of the emergency vehicle.
He was by your bedside every time you woke up, too. It was funny seeing him there when you still didn't know his name. Your parents hadn't visited, too ashamed to be associated with the entire thing to even check in on you.Â
He had himself assigned your emergency contact after six days of your parents not showing up. In all that time, he'd sat patiently by your side as you wailed and raged and went numb, and the cycle repeated itself in perpetuity.Â
He was there, too, with a bag of clothes and a fresh start waiting for you when you were ready to be discharged.Â
His team had since moved on to another criminal of the week, putting the lives lost behind them as they traipsed through more cases and corpses and killers. He was still there, though. Somehow.Â
You were old enough to be able to discharge yourself from a hospital, old enough to not need a guardian to take care of you. Spencer stayed anyway, and you didn't bother asking why.Â
âI don't want to leave the hospital,â you said, climbing back into the bed you'd forced yourself into for the last week. The same bed where the nurse had ran your rape kit even after you'd told her he'd never touched you like that, after you'd explained and denied and shouted to high hell that no-one had touched you like that and she sure as hell wasn't going to be the first.Â
Spencer had put a stop to the traumatic experience when he'd returned with your coffee, always picking up something for you when he went out.Â
The nurse had gripped and moaned and murmured an apology, and you knew you'd not been an easy patient, but you couldn't bring yourself to feel bad about it.Â
That didn't mean you wanted to leave yet, though.Â
âI can't leave, I have nowhere to live.â
âY/N, you can't stay here forever.â
âSpencer, I can't go home. My apartment is a crime scene, I almost died there, and there are reporters posted there 247 waiting for me to come back. They think I'm evil, they-âÂ
âThey think you're a victim,â he said calmly but firmly, cutting you off before you could spiral again. âWhich you are. And you'll be a victim forever if you don't get out of that hospital bed and start moving on.âÂ
He dumped a bag on your bed, a bag you recognised as one of your own overnight bags from your apartment. He looked at you again, the question in his silence.Â
Are you going to keep being his victim?
You huffed as you got out of your bed, throwing off the covers and standing in front of him. He didn't budge.Â
âWell?â You asked, looking at him as he stood still, not moving even an inch.Â
âWell, what?â He replied, eyebrows knitting.Â
Instead of replying, you rolled your eyes and reached behind you to the ties in your hospital gown, opening it until you could pull it off your body before pulling out the clothes he'd left in the bag.Â
You didn't glance at him again until you were fully naked, readying your underwear so you could pull it on. When you turned back to him, his gaze knocked the wind out of you.Â
You'd stopped feeling like a woman the minute he'd carried out of that room. You were a child, a fragile doll, a specimen to be studied. For some of the nurses, you were an infection they could catch.Â
Spencer Reid, against his better judgment, was looking at you like you were a woman. Like you were the object of his every desire.Â
âS-SpencerâŠâ you said suddenly feeling the shame and embarrassment of being naked suddenly in front of another person. You pulled the sweatshirt he'd packed you over your torso, covering all of your intimate areas as you stammered out your apology.Â
âI- shit, I'm sorry-â
âI'll wait - Iâll wait outside. If you need anything you can⊠you can do whatever.â He said, dragging his eyes off of your body and letting them fall anywhere that you weren't. His eyes darted from the floor to the wall, to the air next to your head and finally to the door where he took himself out.Â
You dressed in a hurry and followed him.Â
âSpencer? Spencer, I'm ready,â you said, running down the hall to him and grabbing his arm, holding it for support and comfort, but mostly just to be close.Â
Since waking up from that first sedation of many in those first few days, you hadn't been more than a few hours without having him hold you.Â
His team had sent many warning looks watching you wrapped around him like a scared child, hiding behind him like a small, shaking dog. You hadn't seen a problem in it, truly clinging to him like a lifeline.Â
After whatever the hell had just happened in your hospital room, though? Now you felt each solid ridge of him. You hadn't felt like a woman, sure but you equally hadn't acknowledged Spencer as a man until then. A very attractive man.Â
The stubble on his jaw only made it sharper. His gentle, curving eyes, cut at the corners by the start of laugh lines, his mouth straight and⊠and kissable. For the first time in months, definitely for the first time since you'd met your monster, maybe even for the first time ever, desire heated the depths of your stomach.Â
Your breath hitched, and you held him tighter as he led you out of the ward and ushered you into your new life.Â
âWe're not going to your apartment. Your landlord released you from the lease forâŠobvious reasons after some persuading. Your parents-âÂ
âMy parents?â You asked in disgusting, halting in the hall. For the first time since you'd left the room, he had to turn and look you in the eyes. He'd done his best to dampen the desire, but some part of you still recognised it, even as your logical brain fought to be heard.Â
âYour parents agreed to fund three months in a new apartment. After which time, you will have a job and some stability, so you'll be able to pay for it yourself.â
You tried to argue and tried to talk back, but your tongue was thick.Â
A new apartment. Living alone, being alone, for any amount of time, felt daunting.Â
But Spencer took one more step towards the door and then another, and you had no choice but to walk with him, hand slipping down and grasping his like it was your lifeline.Â
The drive to whatever new apartment your parents had leased for you was silent, and the storms in your head grew until they'd taken up so much space they erupted forth, darkening the actual skies. A crash of thunder rumbled somewhere in the distance just as he pulled into the building. Luckily for you, there was underground parking, so you didn't even need to contemplate letting the lightning hit you.Â
There was one space left, and Spencer pulled his car in, flipping the engine off and getting out without another word.Â
He led you up the stairs, then he led you to your floor, then he led you to your door and handed you the keys.Â
You felt cold as you opened the doors, knowing you were about to confront items of boxes that had watched you be burned, cut, slapped, beaten.
There were no boxes behind the door. Everything had, to your shock, been unboxed and staged already.Â
You recognised magnets on the fridge, stuffed animals on the bed when you made your way to your bedroom. Your toiletries were neatly tidied into your medicine cabinet, hell, even your bookshelves had your own dog-eared copies of books well past their prime.Â
You had every comfort and joy without having to push yourself through the pain of thinking about where these items had last been kept.Â
There were new things too. The couch was definitely second-hand, but it wasn't the one you'd brought at Goodwill the week after your college graduation. That one was stained red, no doubt, somewhere in a tip. There was bedding and sheets and blankets and plates and forks and knives - a whole household of items that someone had chosen.Â
You turned back to Spencer and cried. You buried your face in his chest and wrapped yourself around him again as he held you.Â
And then, realizing he'd been the one to orchestrate this, if not the one who had arranged everything himself, you pushed up on the balls of your feet, and you kissed him.Â
For the few seconds it lasted, it was brilliance. The pressure on your lips after a second had your heart singing as he kissed you back, your hands balling into his shirt as you stepped closer and closer, needing to be wrapped around him, buried in safety and warmth.Â
He pulled back and stepped out of your reach too quickly, the back of his hand reaching up to his mouth as if checking that it was still there, that he'd actually just been kissing you back.Â
âY/N, you don'tâŠwe can't do that.âÂ
âDo what?â You said, creeping forward, needing to feel him beside you again.Â
âYou're not⊠you don't feel about me the way you think you feel about me,â he said, pushing your hair behind your ear as you wrapped your arms around his waist again.Â
âHow do I feel?âÂ
âGrateful. Y/N, this is gratitude. I saved you, and so you think you are in love with me. It's called transference, and you will deeply, deeply regret this one day.âÂ
The urgency in his tone had you flinching, even if he was trying to talk to you as softly as possible. For a moment, you'd done as he'd asked and forgotten you were a victim. It was apparently something he himself would not forget anytime soon.
You stood around awkwardly for another minute or two.Â
âWhatâŠwhat now?â You asked, avoiding the kiss and whatever lay in that direction.
âI'll walk you through the emergency contact numbers. The apartment building is pretty old, so there's a wall phone in the kitchen, but there are some modern amenities, too. The laundry room is on the first floor, next to the porters office. I'm in apartment 23 on the second floor, and-âÂ
âWhat?â Your entire body buzzed, hearing him speak, and you almost forgot to breathe, rushing to stand straight again.
âI⊠I live on the floor below,â he said, almost cautiously now that you'd thrown yourself at him. âI thought you might enjoy the company.â
He gave you a weak smile and you wanted to kiss him all over again, to press your lips again and again into the soft flesh of his skin, his lips, his nose, his cheeks, his neck, his chest.Â
You wanted him to hold you. You stood by the sofa and let your grip on a cushion tighten to stop from throwing yourself at him again. One rejection was enough for the day.Â
Not that you stopped in the weeks to come.Â
Spencer had himself relegated to office work for the first month as you rode out the waves of your grief, sticking by his side for comfort.
Your friends came and went, but they wore the stench of âI told you soâ and âI saw that coming,â and you suffocated on it after so long.Â
Every day after he returned home, you arrived at him door and threw yourself into his open arms, sitting with him for hours. Most days, you read together, ignoring that the man flipped pages three times as fast as you did. Some nights, you watched shows or movies, making your way through three companions worth of âNew Whoâ in a week.
Each time you came, he took care of your food, ordering or cooking simple pasta dishes for you.Â
He told you about the time his coworker had taught him how to make the perfect pasta, berating him for putting oil in his pasta water, and damn near drawing his weapon while he made sure he salted it.Â
You laughed together and ate together, and you forgot together.Â
Your life was back to normal when you got your first job interview. It's nothing spectacular, but it was enough that it would pay the bills to the apartment whose lease is a ticking bomb counting down to 0. It was a normal office, where you would be doing normal work that you had absolutely done before.Â
The interview was normal, the female employee that meets you first reassuring you that the company is safe, their employees vetted and supported.Â
And the company makes feminine hygiene products anyway, so they don't attract too many men, or at least none like the monster you'd known.Â
All in all, the interview went well.Â
It went well all the way until you reached the bus stop. You felt eyes on you, watching your movements, but you couldn't see anyone else focusing on you particularly.
You felt the stares on the bus, and the stares when you got off the bus two stops early. You felt the stares walking around the block three times to throw whatever was following you around off your track. You felt the stares as you sat outside Spencer's apartment until 6:45pm, when he came home and found you there. Your interview had been at 1pm.
âY/N, what's wrong?â He said, immediately holding you and guiding you into the apartment.Â
Your anxiety and fear had settled into self-loathing and disappointment. You let him hold you quietly, rejecting food and conversation.Â
You sat quietly with him on his sofa as he held a book in one hand, stroking your hair with another as you laid on his chest.Â
The emotions of the day were overwhelming, consuming the part of your brain that had started being happy again for the first time. You grew angry at the sadness for seeping back in, and in an act of rebellion, you pushed back up and kissed Spencer once more.Â
His brain was slower to react this time, even if his body wasn't.Â
You straddled his hips as your lips joined his, melting together in a hot embrace. He dropped his book quickly, hand resting on your hip as the one that had been stroking your hair angled your jaw up so he could set the pace.Â
All your emotions were swept away in a wave of desire as you slowly rubbed against him, butt shifting as you clumsily followed your arousal past your worldly knowledge.Â
You couldn't even think about what was next because your tongue was clashing with Spencer's, and your brain was short circuiting.Â
The second you let out your first whimper of pleasure, he pushed you away and stood up, crossing the room to put distance between you, just as he had a month beforr.Â
âY/N, you had a bad day, but this isn't⊠This isn't how you should make yourself feel better.âÂ
âSpencer-âÂ
âI told you about transference before, Y/N, you need to listen to me. I'm not⊠I'm not the one for you.â His voice shook as he ran his hands through his hair in stress, body tense in a way that informed you he was holding himself back.Â
âTransference. TransferenceâŠâ You sat upright on his couch and let all the logic rush back into your brain at once.Â
âY/N?â He asked, voice shaking as he watched you zone out of the conversation, almost afraid that he'd damaged you again.Â
âIs there⊠Is there something wrong with transference?â You asked, voice impossibly calm as you still stared straight forward.Â
He moved towards you again and knelt at the floor in front of you, clutching your hands in his.Â
âY/N, you don't really want me like that, you don't, you can't-â
âLove you?â You asked, your voice finally breaking, eyes finally meeting his.
It was as if you knocked the wind out of him. He sat there completely dumbstruck.Â
âIt might not be love, okay, I'll admit that. But you're⊠you're strong and smart, and you take care of me. And you're attractive, and you make me happy, which is something I didn't think I'd ever be again-âÂ
âY/N, something happened to you today, and you threw yourself at me. You threw yourself at me when you moved into your apartment. You felt stressed, and you reacted, Y/N. You don't love me.â
You sat calmly listening to his words again, your body still aching for his touch, your heart still pounding in your chest.Â
âOkay. Okay. So if I doâŠthis when I'm not feeling vulnerable, then what? Then you'll believe me?âÂ
âY/NâŠâ he sighed in defeat, hand again raking through his hair.Â
You grabbed your things and stood up off the couch, bending to press another kiss to his lips before you parted.Â
He was shocked silent, but that didn't stop him from chasing your lips as you rose, rising to his knees and then his feet as you walked away from him.
âI'll see you tomorrow, Spencer. Get some sleep,â you said, letting yourself out or the apartment and carrying yourself, heavy and dejected, upstairs.Â
If Spencer was anticipating seeing you again the next morning, he wasn't anticipating seeing you in his office.
âSpencer,â you called out as you walked into the bullpen, clipping your visitors badge into place again, making sure it wasn't crooked.
Immediately, he stood from his desk and rose to meet you, ignoring the looks from his coworkers as his hands landed on your arms, immediately checking on you.Â
âY/N, what are you doing here?â He whispered, checking for tears, or injuries, or something to show him your motive for seeking him out.Â
You just smiled at him, brushing a hair behind your ear when you saw him hesitate making that same gesture.Â
âI was summoned. They need my statement to corroborate your weapon discharge paperwork, and Agent Hotchner called earlier.âÂ
His hands dropped as he breathed a steady sigh of relief, trying to make his reaction smaller than he knew it was. He was afraid something had happened to you again, and he was so caught up in his relief, that he didn't notice you moving closer until your lips were on his cheek and you were waving him off as you ascended the stairs to Hotch's office with your escort.Â
âSpencer,â Morgan's voice called from behind him, and he turned hesitantly.Â
âWhat was that?âÂ
He felt the eyes on him, and he pushed all thoughts of you to the side in place of total rationality.Â
âI explained transference to her but⊠she doesn't seem to - she doesn't care.âÂ
âSpencer the last time I saw that girl, she was practically the walking dead. She just smiled.â Morgan said, shaking his head. But Spencer was watching you, and not his friend, and really, he wasn't even listening.
âSpencer? Spencer?â Morgan said again, rising to get in the man's face some more until he finally looked at him again.Â
âShe thinks she's in love with me.âÂ
âHow do you know she isn't?âÂ
You kept working on him, little by little, day by day, until Spencer's field work started again.Â
A little part of you was sad that he wouldn't always be around every day anymore. But you'd got that job and got over yourself as you started going out more. You made friends at your office, and you went out and laughed and joked with old college roommates. You felt like a human being again, and to no one's surprise, you still wanted Spencer Reid.Â
He left every Monday on a case, and by the time Wednesday rolled around, you missed him. Going out to drinks with some coworkers after clocking off certainly didn't sate your appetite for him.Â
âSpencer,â you said, breathily into the phone when he picked up, throwing yourself onto your bed.Â
âY/N, what happened? Is everything alright? Do you need me to come back?â
âNo, Spencer, I just-â you hiccupped and giggled before continuing. âI just missed you so much.âÂ
The silence on the line was suddenly so funny to you, and you giggled again. Feeling hot, you stripped down to your underwear and started talking again.Â
âI miss cuddling up to you and crawling all over you. You're really soft, you know?â You sighed, hands trailing up and down your stomach lightly.Â
âY/N,â he said in a warning tone.Â
âI miss your face. I'm switching to video call,â you announced and fumbled with your phone.Â
âNo, Y/N, wait-â he said, but pulling the phone away from his ears, he realized his protests were too late to matter as he took in your half-naked form.Â
Though your face took up the majority of the view on the camera, he could see the soft trim of your lace bra poking into the camera, and the generous push of cleavage your angle facilitated to boot.Â
Checking around him for people looking, he tucked himself into a corner and scowled back at you.Â
âY/N, this isn't a game. Turn the call off and go to bed.âÂ
âBut I miss you,â you whined.Â
âY/N,â he hissed, eyes falling to your hands where you'd begun massaging your heavy breasts.Â
âWhen are you coming home?â You asked, whining again like a petulant child as the alcohol flushed through your system, bringing all of your desires to the forefront.Â
âSoon,â he said, not trusting himself to say more than a word.Â
âGood. Because I miss you. Spencer, I- I think I want to have sex with you.âÂ
His eyes shut as he tried to remain calm even as your words rang in his ears from 1000 miles away.
âWe'll talk soon, Y/N. Good night,â he closed, finally hanging up and covering his face in his hands. He made his way quickly to his motel room, threw his phone down on his bed, and ignored as best he could his throbbing cock in his pants and the three pictures you'd sent him since he hung up.Â
He didn't resist for long.Â
Three nights later, you found yourself at a bar, living life to the fullest. You'd taken back to society like a swan to water, and you weren't letting the stern words of Spencer Reid keep you down. Knocking back another shot, you smiled and cheered with your friends until you felt the eyes on you again. It was different this time, though, hotter, and closer. You turned to look at the door and saw Spencer Reid and the other people who'd saved your life walking to a booth. It was Spencer's eyes on you.Â
You definitely did not believe in a higher power - how could you, after all - but you did believe that this was fate.Â
You blew him a kiss as he watched you walk back to your table with another cocktail in hand, letting a man who'd been trying to flirt with you earlier follow you to your friends.Â
When you went for your next drink, you found him at your side in a heartbeat.Â
âI'm not checking up on you,â he said, even though he was. âI'm ordering a drink.âÂ
âTwo drinks,â you said, shooting him a flirty smile as you pressed yourself against him again, chest to chest.Â
âYou're ordering two drinks, Spencer,â you whispered into his ears as his head dropped down to within an inch of your own. The air felt changed, but you refused to move to close the gap. You'd put in the work the last few times. You needed Spencer to be the one to take the chance this time.Â
He ordered your drinks, and still you didn't move apart, huddled together as if you were whispering conspiracies to one another.Â
When your drink was firmly in your hand, he grabbed your wrist and led you to a dark corner of the bar. You sipped your drink quickly, managing two swigs before he took it and placed both drinks down - right beside Penelope Garcia - and dragged you out into the hall.Â
The bathrooms were empty when he pushed you inside, and your heart throbbed as his hands pushed you into a stall, lifted your legs to wrap around him, and then his lips finally crashed into yours.Â
Transference or whatever else it was supposed to be, you didn't give one shit in that moment as his tongue coaxed your lips apart.
His hands didn't stay in place for long as he dragged them up and down your body, exploring every part he'd memorized from the pictures. Every curve or inch he'd previously held tenderly, gently, he now raked over with the hunger of arousal, pushing your short skirt up until it was past your hips and his fingers could sink into you instead.Â
You were soaked before he even had one digit inside you, his thumb rubbing roughly against your clit as you turned to jelly in his hands.Â
You'd masturbated before, sure, you were a grown woman. But the feeling of someone else's hands, someone else's hest, the knowledge that someone else desired you so badly that they'd drag you into a bar bathroom just to sate their lust? That was new, and it was exciting.Â
His lips covered yours as your legs shook, silencing every moan, every whimper with his tongue. It was wild, messy, your tongues clashing wildly and messily as your hips rocked violently, trying to reach that high, but also trying to make this last past his fingers.Â
It wasn't to be though as you shuddered around his three digits, your orgasm ripping through you silently, leaving you wide-eyed and wide mouthed.Â
âWe're done,â he said, gently kissing your cheek as be stood you up, letting you stretch out the soreness in your muscles.Â
âFor now?âÂ
âForever, Y/N. This was a mistake.â
Your heart hit the ground, and he stomped on it, but the anger filling your gut pushed up and out before he could completely bow out.Â
âNo,â you ground out through gritted teeth.Â
âY/N, you aren't in love with me. You feel grateful that I saved you, you feel attracted to me because I'm older and you think I can protect you, and a little part of it is that you've always been attracted to men who are dangerous. You're not in love with me, so-âÂ
âYou sound like him.â
Shocked, he paused, and his grip on your hips tightened until his nails were biting into your skin.Â
âWhat?âÂ
âYou're telling me how to feel, you're telling me what to do. You sound like him.âÂ
âY/N, that is unfair-âÂ
âUnfair is denying that I'd know how I'm fucking feeling to let you wallow in self sacrifice, Spencer. Unfair is playing the martyr when we can both see that you want this as fucking badly as I do.âÂ
You didn't give him a second longer to react, but grabbed him by the wrist and, making sure your skirt was once again in place, pulled him back out of the bathroom and into the club.Â
Stopping by Penelope, you put his drink in his hand and grabbed yours, downing it quickly. He followed your actions, taking a sip until you were done and slamming your drink back on the table.Â
Then you kept him moving, pushing doors open, hailing a cab, and climbing in with him hot on your heels.
You kept your grip on him tight until you'd marched him to his apartment. Releasing him, you flattened your back against his door, letting him slowly unlock the door as you spoke to him again finally.
âDo it, Spencer. Be my first.âÂ
It was like he was a different man walking over that threshold. His hand were on your face, his tongue again fighting yours as you stumbled back into the apartment, crashing into the wall, then the coffee table, and then the couch.Â
You cursed in anger hitting his closed bedroom door and pushed him away to open it yourself, but his arms wrapped around you from the back and he sucked bruises against your neck as his hands grabbed your breasts and squeezed them.
His cock was rigid in his pants, and your body ached for the unknown, the soon to come pleasure that he was to deliver.Â
He pushed you down onto the bed quickly, and you rolled yourself over, pulling your own dress off as quickly as possible.Â
âThat's my job,â he moaned, meeting your lips again as his hands fell to your underwear once again.Â
âYou have a long to-do list, Spencer, I'm just helping,â you smirked as he kissed you again, your hands shakily working down each button of his shirt as you acted to tear it off of him.Â
âWe have all night,â he replied, fingers once again rubbing at your bundle of nerves, hips pushing up and into his hands.Â
âNo, Spencer. No, we don't. I need you now.âÂ
His mouth covered yours again as you finally, finally got his shirt off, letting him throw it to the floor as you started working on his belt. Your legs spread as he inched closer, sitting between your thighs comfortably as he waited with bated breath for you to finally touch his cock. Â
You knew what dicks looked like, you knew what they were supposed to feel like, but you never realised you'd want to touch one so fucking badly until his sprung from his pants.Â
He took your hand and spit in it before you wrapped your fingers around him and felt the heat of his cock pulsing against you.Â
He was big, long more than girthy, and you wondered how thousands of years of women had managed to survive coupling if this was the weapon meant to numb them into horny submission.Â
One stroke, and you were a mess, his fingers hooking into you as you flicked your wrist up and down.Â
You watched his precum rise and swiped it up in one finger, tasting it as he groaned and started thrusting up, fucking your hand as he scissored his fingers inside of you.Â
He stretched you out, readying you for his thick cock, and you gladly sat there, letting him use you and ready you all at once.Â
When you were ready, he wrapped his arms around you again, lifting you onto the bed properly and laying you down softly in the sheets. Kneeling to roll on the condom he'd grabbed from his bedside table, you watched in curiosity as you tried to memorize every movement, every second of him sinking into you.Â
The tears in your eyes were emotion just as much as pain, your heart hammering in your ears as he whispered praise into your ear, dropping confessions like bombs.Â
âYou're taking me so well, Y/N, that's goodâŠâ he moaned, pushing in one inch.Â
âThat's it, Y/N, just a little more. I love you, you can do it,â he said, sinking in two more.Â
âYou feel so good, Y/N, made just for me,â he said as he finally hit your limit.Â
You knew the stretch wasn't the end, and he rested there for a second, letting you get used to him before you lost patience with him.Â
âSpencer just, just push through,â you grit out, and he did, snapping his hips up just that.inch or two more and sending that spark of pain through you.Â
In an instant, his lips were on yours, his fingers on your clit, flooding your nerves with pleasure as all you could think of was the pain.Â
But when the pain faded, there was still him, and his cock neatly sheathed inside of you.Â
His hips moved languidly at first, his entire body weight pushing down on you, lazily twisting and writhing as of this were just one of your cuddles on the couch.Â
You whimpered, and he moved faster, and you learnt quickly that your noises and sighs to him were what his praise was to you - motivation.
You moaned, and he picked up his pace, moving faster as you whimpered a lustful âyesâ into his ear.Â
âGood girl, good girl, Y/N, that's it. Good girl,â he repeated, unable to say more as you whimpered and cried under him, speech lost as he split you in half with his dick.
You grew louder, and his cock buried itself deeper, your moans dragged on longer and he picked up speed.Â
He whispered that you were his perfect little slut, and you jolted in his arms, cumming on his cock and screaming his name.Â
He kept pumping into you, careful to make sure the condom stayed in place as he finally bottomed out and let pleasure roll through him again.
Coming down from his high, your tongue pushed into his mouth, and you rolled him over, sitting yp on his dick as he watched.Â
You rose off his cock, letting him stare in wonder as your own arousal dripped off of your skin, his cock coated in arousal, and spit from his fingers and, yes, a little bit of blood.Â
You crawled back and peeled off the condom, tying It quickly and discarding it before you tasted his cum quickly.Â
It was just a soft lick, but it had him declaring his love for you again, and you decided that there were very few things you wouldn't do to hear those words.Â
As delightful as your lips felt, though, he quickly bundled you up and forced you to the bathroom, turning on the taps in the bath and placing you on the toilet before leaving.Â
Even now, after everything, he was still taking care of you. Maybe especially now.Â
You finished, and he came back. More stolen kisses and moans and a bath that turned into more later, and you found yourself bundled into his spare clothes and wrapped in his arms on his couch again.Â
He clicked play on another episode of Doctor Who (you'd finally reached Donna, and he was excitedly introducing you to the new character), and you finally looked up at him again.
âI love you,â you said again, loudly this time, with no fear.Â
Though his training told him the response he should give, Spencer just looked down at you again and gave in to his heart.Â
âI love you, too.âÂ
You fell asleep quickly after that, head resting over his heart, the sound of the steady beats lulling you to sleep.Â

The first time they sent someone, you had been excepting it
You weren't dumb. You knew the difference between an innocent bystander and a hired gun; or at least something along those lines. The way people walked talked and carried themselves was always a dead giveaway, and recently you had been surrounded by a few too many intense stares and stiff shoulders for your liking. A lot more than you were used to, in fact. Maybe that's what prompted you to start taking a new way home from work instead of the usual combination of cross walks and dirty bus seats.
The quick guy with silver hair was their first attempt at contact. You had found him waiting outside your apartment for you to get home all but a week after noticing the new attention on you, and you would have ignored him too if it wasn't for the fact that he was sitting on the outside your balcony, kicking his feet merrily off the side about ten stories above the pavement below without a care in the world. And with what looked like a twinkie in his hand, too.
You'd closed the blinds without a second thought, tossing him a fake grin and a little wave when he eventually turned around as you slammed them shut. You were fairly certain he could have stopped you in no time flat, if the way you would watch him zip away in the blink of an eye later said anything, but you took a heat-of-the-moment gamble and were satisfied when all your efforts got was a whine from the other side of your window pane. His mouth was too full of pre-packaged pastry to say anything in the moment, you realized
"Not interested." You called over your back as you began to retreat into your kitchen without another moments notice.
"You haven't even heard what I want!" He said thickly, clearly trying to swallow as he spoke. You must have startled him a little then. Good.
"And I don't need to."
He left a few minutes later when his one sided conversationalist skills got him no where, and you responded by throwing a frozen pizza in the lower half of your oven.
You had been craving pepperoni all day anyway.
The second person try was a bit more aggressive.
They didn't have the decency to wait for you to come home this time. Instead, you found yourself looking up from your laptop as a chair was pulled out across from you at the quaint table you sat at. It made a scraping noise, and you tensed the muscles in your hands for a moment at the sound.
"Can I help you." Your eyebrow quirked up as you looked at the woman across from you. She had blonde hair, and what you thought were the brownest eyes you had even seen. You had trouble looking anywhere but into them for a second. When they hit the light, you swore they turned yellow just for a moment, and she looked about as annoyed as you were that she was sitting by you. You didn't have to wait long to find out why.
"We've been trying to reach you." The surrounding noise of the café hardly disturbed the hard tone in her voice. "You're avoiding us."
At least this time these people had the common sense to approach you in public. If you were any form of confrontational, which you very much weren't, you could have started a fight the last time. Who knows if you would have won against super speed and whatever else the first guy hadâ you weren't exactly sure about the extent of his powers, and at this point didn't care âbut the point remains that some damage could have been done. Now, in the middle of a coffee shop on a busy afternoon, it would be a bit harder to start a fight. Not that you were seriously concidering it. If anything, you wanted to duck into a large crowd just to loose this new recruiter, or whatever they were called. You didn't exactly know if they had a name for this type of situation.
"I have no idea who you are." Your tone matched her own, dealing out the half lie nonchalantly. You weren't technically wrong, really. You didn't know her, nor did you know that other man that had shown up before. But you knew what they wanted, and you'd be damned if they didn't pin you down without a bit of a struggle.
Moving with a speed quick enough to get your message across, but not fast enough as to alert any of the surrounding coustomers that something was up, you closed your laptop, abandoned your now lukewarm drink, and started for the door. You only paused in your movements after a weight settled over the back of your shoulder, and you carefully turned your neck to look down at the hand resting firmly on you.
"I don't recommend doing that." You said with a bit of a warning tone in your voice, looking her right in the eyes as you did so. They had since shifted from dark brown to an almost hazel shade, and you filed that information away for later use.
Her grip remained where it was for a moment. Then a thought seemed to cross her mind, and she let go of her hold on your shirt; even if a bit reluctantly.
You didn't stick around to see if anything else would happen. You just made your way out of the shop and into the bustling street, not caring if she followed. They already knew where you lived anyway.
"Taxi!!"
The final person they sent for you, you hadn't seen coming.
Every other timeâ from the teleporting blue kid, to the woman with white hair and fair skin, and even the tall guy in glasses that had turned a little blue when you pushed your way past him âyou had been able to prepare beforehand. At the very least you were able to lock your doors before going out and about your day. You knew that wouldn't stop them in the slightest, but it was a silent message to stay out of your business.
But this guy? This guy just didn't care at all.
"You know, you're really nailing this first impression thing."
A gruff voice sprang to life at the same moment that your hallway lights did, doing a fine job at catching you off guard. You managed to not jump, but with the way the intruders lips tilted up, you figured he knew he had surprised you.
"Oh, fuck my life."
You were really not feeling like another impromptu visit tonight. You had gotten home from a rough day of work a couple of hours ago, only to realize that you had finally blown through all your food, and was once more sent back out into the city to look for a grocery store. You had been looking forward to finally resting your feet, and maybe your eyes a few hours earlier than planned, and you most certainly weren't in the right state of mind to entertain this hulking figure of a man and the proposition that came with him.
You looked at him harshly. He had muscles for days, and a brown leather jacket to accentuate just how large he was. You knew for a fact that he was a few weight classes up from the last guy that had been sent to your house, and you wondered if this was their way of trying to intimidate you into forcefully accepting their offer.
Tiny scars dotted his face and the skin on his neck. You wondered why there were so few, considering that you already knew what he did for a living, but also knew better than to question someone like him. Especially since he was already standing in the doorway to your home, looking like he owned the place.
"Go away." You didn't grant him any sort of emotion in your voice as you walked in the direction of your fridge. The plastic bags full of your food for the week swung in your arms, and for a moment you thought this new guy was going to block your way into the rest of the house before he backed off with a roll of his shoulders.
You clocked his broad chest and bruised knuckles out of the corner of your eyes as you opened the ice box and slowly placed some frozen veggies in side by side. He had either gotten here straight from a fight, or was itching for one. You figured it was probably the former considering he hadn't jumped you the second you walked through the door. Or you know, maybe he just had fucked up hands. You could never tell with people at this point.
"You're pleasant." The mans wry smile was nothing but headache educing as you finished putting the cold groceries up. You snorted with hollow amusement.
"Try being stalked for a month and a half. It really makes you feel like being hospitable."
"Try being the guy that gets sent to get in contact with you. It ain't exactly the way I wanted to be spending my Friday night either." He parroted back your words while running a hand down his face and across what you had since recognized as mutton chops in the process.
"When are you going to tell that professor of yours that I'm not interested in his little passion project." You think that might have been the first time you ever directly acknowledged what exactly was going on. Every other time you had just told the other person to get lost or slammed a door in their face to really get the point across, but the way this guy was looking at you gave you the feeling that he wouldn't be as easy to shoo away as the others, and you weren't really feeling up for a giant display of effort right about now.
"You could always tell him yourself, bub." His eyes followed your face as you crossed the room to stop in front of him, hand outstretched with something that ignited a small smirk on his face.
"Trying to bribe me?" He asked, going to take the fresh beer you offered him all the same. You shook your head.
"No. My master plan actually consists of getting you shit-faced drunk so you guys will finally leave me alone." You watched as his hand hesitated in mid-air slightly, and you misinterpreted his silent amusement at your jab for skepticism. "I've just got too much beer and a stranger in my apartment that's not going to leave me alone anytime soon, thatâs all." You relented with a shrug.
"Fair enough." He took the brown bottle by the neck and popped open the top without so much as looking around for a bottle opener. When the cap went rushing to the floor less than a second later, you squinted.
"What are you then? Super strong? Or is your power alcoholism." That got a rough chuckle out of him. He swallowed about half of the bottle in one go before answering, and you sucked at your teeth as he did so.
"Something like that."
"Wow. Really feeling the comradery here." You didn't miss the way he deadpanned at that, and you figured he was thinking about all of the times you had kicked every other pursuer to the curb without even letting them get a word in edge wise. Still, you pushed on. "Remind me how its fair that you and your friends know all about me, but I have a new hero-of-the-week showing up on my doorstep every other day without so much as a clue as to what they could do to me?"
"About as fair as your little accident in Colorado." He responded without a seconds hesitation. You felt a little perspiration form on the back of your neck, and chalked it up to the lack of a.c in the room. Even if it was anything but.
"If you're here to try and convince me to join your little superhero team, I hate to tell you, but it isn't going to work. Just like it didn't work the past ten times." You ignored his last comment and made yourself comfortable on your living room couch. "Do you have a name? I've never really stuck around to talk to one of you this long before, and it's annoying to keep rendering to you as 'some guy' in my head."
He paused abruptly while drinking the beer, and you barely held back from rolling your eyes at his change in mood.
"It's Logan." He finally bit out reluctantly. You got the feeling that the only reason he told you was because he was here by request. If it has been any other circumstances, you had no doubts that he would have told you to fuck off. He gave off that energy.
"You already know mine, so I'm not gonna bother." You kicked your feet up and let your head hit the back of the couch with a sigh. "Just let me know when you finally get bored and head out. I want to make sure my landlord knows to blacklist you from the building after you're gone."
"Is this how you got everyone else to leave? By annoying them to death?" Logan sounded more entertained then you would have liked, and you blamed it on the beer.
"Depends. Is it working?"
"I've been sleeping at a school filled with screaming kids for the past few weeks. You're going to have to try harder than that to get me out of here." He took another swig.
"What will it take to get you to leave me alone. All of you." Your voice dipped out of it's usually casual tone for a more annoyed one. You were used to playing the long game when it came to getting people to leave you alone, but at this point it was getting ridiculous with the amount of people that they were throwing at you, and it was starting to wear you out. You weren't sure if Logan could tell your patience was being tested, and you weren't sure if you wanted him to.
Logan raised one eyebrow in your direction as an answer to your question, and you sighed.
"I'm not taking a stupid fucking spot on the X-Men if that's what you're implying. What do I have to do to convince you guys that I'm not up for it; blow up a building on accident or something?" The word 'again' went unsaid, but the implication was there.
You watched as Logan seemed to throw something around in his mind for a moment.
"Do you want to know why I joined the X-Men?" He eventually asked.
"Because you had nothing else to do with yourself other than styling your hair real stupid? Seriously what's with this horn thing you've got going in."
"I joined because they helped pull me off a dark path, kid." He barreled past your sarcasm, shutting you down quicker than you would like to admit. His tone was laced with something you recognized all as hatred, and you knew it wasn't directed at you, but rather himself. You knew the feeling all too well.
"I was running from something that I didn't even know I was trying to avoid." He continued. "And if it wasn't for the Professor and his 'stupid fucking team', I wouldn't have ever stopped."
For the first time in the past few minutes, you allowed one of your walls to come down as he spoke. You stared at him with a tired look lingering behind your gaze, choosing this time to listen rather than to ignore.
"I'm not running from anything." Even as you said it, you knew it was a lie. Logan didn't even have to look at you for you to sigh and lean forward again.
"I can see why the Professor wants you on the team." You felt the cushions on the opposite end of your couch dip slowly as he sat down. The now empty beer bottle was still in his hand, but as you looked over at Logan, you found his eyes filled to the brim with nothing but the honest truth.
It was a strange, tense moment. Both you and Logan could admit that. You were clearly filled with regret for your past actions, no matter how accidental they might have been, and conflicted with yourself because of it. Logan could do nothing more but watch as you battled with yourself over his words. His original plan had been to come here, show off a claw or two if needed, and bring you back to the school with a characteristic scowl on his face. But all that was thrown out the window when you offered him a beer, and when he was finally able to get a good look at you.
You looked exactly how he used to before one of his old cage matches. Detached and losing yourself. He could see it in your eyes.
The room delved into silence. You wrung your hands together and planted your feet. Logan watched as you seemed to have a silent conversation with yourself, and he began to regret not pacing himself with the beer. He wasn't anywhere near affected by the alcohol, that's to say. He just wished he had something to do other than sit in your home with squared shoulders and a furrowed brow.
"If I took one trip over to the place, would you guys let up on whatever this is?" You finally asked. Logan pushed down a faint smirk as you turned your neck to look at him.
"Sure."
You didn't say anything else, and you didn't have to. You got up without another word and grabbed a bag from a nearby closet. Logan found himself leaning on your doorframe as you stuffed a few essentials down into your travel bag in the room over, and he remained there until you finished.
"Still curious about my powers?" Logan decided to bait you just a little further as you shut the door to your apartment with a click of your keys, and he had trouble keeping a straight face when you looked back at him with curiosity dancing across your features.
Without saying anything, he held one of his hands up, and let you watch as his trademark claws popped up slowly. Like seasonal weeds in a garden full of flowers. The appendages let out a slight sliding noise as they did so, and you blinked once. Twice. Three times.
"And I thought my powers were bad." You finally said after a moment, and Logan scoffed at you.
"Kid, everyone thinks their powers are bad at first."
You seemed to take that as a challenge, and Logan watched as a bit of that fire that he'd heard about from Storm and the others flared up in you.
"Yeah? You ever accidently blow up a boiler room and take out half your high school's classes, big guy?" Your grin was all teeth as the two of you made your way down the complex hallway. Logan slowed his pace so you could keep up, and turned around so he could fully look at you as he walked backwards.
"Big guy?" He questioned you with a tilted of his head, looking about as unimpressed as he could.
"I mean yeah." You snickered. "Just look at your, well, everything." You took to gesturing at his entire being, something that got you a huff from the other man.
"Maybe you're just small." He shot back. You laughed and shook your head, looking down at yourself. Yeah right.
"And maybe I'm right, and you're just freakishly big."
Your banter continued all the way down to the elevator, where you had a hard time holding in your laughter as Logan accidentally almost stabbed the down button with his claws, apparently having forgotten that they were even out.
You couldn't help but wonder if he was always like this; if everyone at the school was like this.
Maybe going for a visit wasn't as much as a bad idea as you'd thought.

frustration and anger.
creepypasta/mh x reader in which they get frustrated or angry, or, in BEN's case, are frustrating themselves. word count: 2.1k cw: abuse, descriptions of anger, arguments/quarrelling.
EJ
EJ doesnât often get angry.
in fact, itâs hard to even frustrate him. Even when faced with particularly difficult patients to suture upâahem, Jeffâ he shows no sign of being fazed.
well, perhaps thatâs because heâs used to living with Jeff and his reckless, barbaric antics.
but when he does get frustrated, itâs like a gradual intensification.
you like to split his frustration into three phases.
phase 1: EJ starts to seem a little off. Quieter than usual, less responsive, and more distant. Almost as if heâs in his own world, deceptively peaceful.
phase 2: EJ starts to show actual signs of being frustrated. You notice that it is at this point he may start to snap lightly at others, but with you, he tries his best to keep it to a minimum.
phase 3 is the climax before the drop. On occasion, he may raise his voice slightly and openly express irritation. But he always drops, hard and fast.
âI am so sorry, Y/N, I am so sorry,â he whispers, rubbing circles gently on your back. Though he has to bend over quite a bit (heâs a gentle giant at a height of 6â6 or about 2 meters), you find it to be very soothing that his frame envelops the entirety of yours.
oh, but that doesnât mean heâs incapable of getting angry.
no, the anger you heard in his voice was undeniable as he roared at another member of the household to stay the fuck away from you.
youâd startled at the sheer sound of it, and quickly those trembles descended into violent shaking as you criedâhis roar was simply notâŠhuman.
you flinched as he picked you up, just as gently as was the anger intense in that dreaded noise he made, a stark contrast in behavior, a jarring change in your body, mind and soul.
but other than that, you knew your darling EJ was back.
he plopped you onto his bed, surrounded by his sweet yet musky scent, nuzzling your neck and your face.
âIâm sorryâs were whispered countless times in your ear that night as you dozed off in the safety of his arms.
jeff
gotta put a trigger warning on this one. you know what to expect, but just in case you donât, TW: Jeff is literally a murderer with abusive tendencies and anger issues.
at the start of your relationship, Jeff had beenâŠwell, to say the least, not the best partner.
he often got mad at you, whether it be keeping him waiting or spilling a cup of water.
yeah. spilling a cup of water.
but you understood why he was the way he was. he just couldnât help it. but that didnât mean you were going to stick around for it, no matter how much you loved him.
one day after a particularly huge argument, you found him crying in his room. his sniffles were unmistakable, but you knew youâd have to pretend you hadnât heard from ten feet away.
turns out, angsty little Jeff here wasnât completely unaware of himself.
âIâm sorry, Y/N, Iâm so sorry,â he had sobbed as quietly as he could. âI know Iâm a bad boyfriend, I know, I keep lashing out at you and Iâm so sorry.â
your relationship could have very well ended that day if you hadnât found Jeff crying on the floor.
but even though heâd hurt you so many times, you took him back into your arms.
and so you taught him to manage his anger, though it took you immense effort, energy and bravery.
heâd always help, though, by reminding you it was okay to yell back at him. you chided him lightly for it, saying that itâd just cause a back and forth.
âoh, right. my bad. sorry, doll,â he had said with a sheepish grin.
today, you are proud to boast that you trained your bloodhound boyfriend to be a tame dog. hell, he even does whatever you tell him to now, albeit sometimes reluctantly.
but he understands that if he loves you, he must make sacrifices upon sacrifices. you did that for him.
now it is his turn to sacrifice himself for you.
masky - tim
itâs not really uncommon that Tim gets angry.
but his anger is almost always the quiet kind.
he will âhmphâ and huff lightly, a mild kind of anger you both can still joke about, though his face will redden at it.
you canât help it though, the sass he gives you when heâs lightly frustrated is too good to let slip past.
oh, but when his anger gets loudâ
itâs no longer a harmless little nip.
itâs been directed everywhere. everywhere, his teammates, the table, the card game heâs losing a bit too embarrassingly to Toby whoâs being an unbearable little ass about it.
but never you.
okay, it was one time.
but Tim decided it was one time too many. (as he should)
heâd raised his voice at you, more so out of frustration rather than anger.
and you flinched.
and oh, how that little flinch broke his heart.
he shut up immediately, gathering you into his arms, whispering âoh, Iâm so sorry, darlingâ, and âyouâre okay, youâre okayâ.
he never did it again. ever.
now, when you both get angry at each other, it always devolves into stupid little giggles and kicking.
hoodie - brian
Brian doesnât really get angry, nor does he get frustrated.
normally, at least.
something shines in his eyes when he is defied, a shadow of a grin, a curl of the lipâ
you spend a couple days investigating this, defying him little by little.
âY/N, could you pass me the water?â âNo.â and youâd say it with a cheeky smile on your face to match this strange expression on his.
it evolved into much greater things, âY/N, come over here for a bit.â âNope!â
âY/N, help me up.â âNope!â
your gleeful defiance doesnât have a complete zero effect, either. with each silly little ânopeâ, the glint in his eyes grows brighter. and you know that the cup youâve slowly been filling the past few days is about to overflow.
itâs one fateful day that you happily defy him once again, andâ
oh. somethingâs grabbing at your jaw, and your loverâs face is so close to yours.
he smiles so gently at you, so purely. but his grip on your jaw says otherwise.
firm like iron, reprimanding, but not harmful or venomous. you know he isnât going to hurt you, but oh, he isnât letting you go either.
âY/N,â he says calmly. âYouâve been a little more uncooperative than usual.â
the shiver it sends down your spine isnât one of fear. excitement, rather.
he lets you go, but guides you to the bed. âSit,â he commands.
so you do. what else are you to do when your lover commands you so well?
âGood girl.â
so you never say no to him again, not when it comes to harmless favors.
Brian does not get angry or frustratedâŠat least, not like the normal person does.
toby
Toby becomes a very bitter cynic when upset, spitting sarcasm wherever he goes.
his BPD only makes it worse. his relationship with Tim is already strained as it is, with the latter trying his best (as much as a man with anger issues can), and his relationship with Brian being almost entirely carried by the older man.
and his relationship with you, oh his sweet vogel, his darling doveâ he doesnât know what to think of it. some days he lets loose around you, tickling you and blowing raspberries against your cheeks, and others heâs withdrawn, curled up into a ball in his bed, and so you dive in with him, nuzzling him against his sheets long overdue for a change.
but if itâs neither of those, heâs lashing out. sometimes you canât even look at him when he walks into the room bringing dark clouds over the atmosphere. thatâs when you know you canât look up at him.
and when you make the mistake of looking up, your smile meets a scowl.
âwhat are you looking at.â heâll spit, and then storm off, as if he canât stand your eyes on him.
and itâs true, your eyes gaze at him with such gentleness, he canât bring himself to stare back sometimes. especially when heâs in a bad mood, because he breaks inside as he sees his own eyes burn the love in your eyes, reducing them to ashes of fear.
âvogel,â heâd whisper at night, lying next to you in your bed. âiâm sorry.â
he apologizes so much and so often you no longer make a big deal out of it, but this time, his soft whisper is laced with such heavy guilt, your arms move before your mind thinks, pulling him into a soft embrace.
oh, but this bad mood is nothing compared to his jealousy.
Jeff gets close to you? Jeff is suddenly on the ground, blood leaking from his head and EJ hurriedly dragging the former away, admonishing him about not messing with Tobyâs precious human.
Tim comforts you about Tobyâs outbursts? suddenly heâs against the wall, Toby growling and spitting in his face. if he canât be there for you, then no one else gets to be there for you either. though, he knows this is selfish.
if he could help it, heâd let you go to whomever you wanted for comfort. but oh, his heart aches so.
and his jealousy is nothing compared to how angry he gets at himself, bashing the walls of the manor, crying out at night, because he canât be there for you like a normal boyfriend.
he doesnât know this, but youâre in a corner too, muffled sobs, tears, nose dripping and all.
so at night, you crawl back into bed before he notices you, and lie awake till he comes back.
as his breathing settles and his snoring begins, you hug him just a little bit tighter, your sweet vogel with broken wings.
ben
you have to admit, BEN is really, really freaky.
in the way he plays his games, the way he treats his archnemesis Jeff, in bedâoops.
but particularly, in the way he seems to have an endless tolerance for things that would usually upset someone.
he just. fucking giggles.
âaww, my sweet Y/N is so cute when sheâs mad~â
context: he pissed you off and youâre currently in the middle of admonishing him with your whole heart and soul.
conversely, youâre the one who gets mad right back at him.
within the hour, he presents you with a tiktok with two cats that says: me when iâm venting and all my bf does is make jokes
he cackles to the ends of the earth and proceeds to make even more jokes
frankly, when the topic of frustration comes up with BENâs name in the same sentence, you pretty much just think of him being the frustrating asshole in the relationship.
âBEN, give me my fucking phone back.â
heâs dangling it over your head, using the fact that heâs a floating apparition that can somehow interact with physical objects to his advantage.
once, you got so frustrated at him that you cried.
thankfully, he had the decency to pause, panic, and reflect on his actions.
âoh.â five seconds passed and your crying didnât get better (what did he expect?). he repeated himself. âoh.â
âactually say something, you idiot!â you sobbed. and this is what snapped BEN into action. (you canât believe you actually had to tell him to comfort you.)
âoh.â then he realized heâd just been saying âohâ like a broken record. âum.â
so he wraps you up in a blanket like a burrito, and holds you close to his chest.
âiâm sorry.â
âpromise not to do it again?â you look up at him with your best puppy eyes.
ââŠi canât promise.â you can tell heâs holding back a cheeky grin.
you whine and hit him lightly.
but you know very well that he loves you; this frustration merely comes with him as a package.

(PART 2) - WOLVERINE x READER x DEADPOOL â fuckup twinsies
dp&w spoilers!! + slight gore description --- part 1
Okay, recap.
Your perfect little day in dimension-travel-jail was interrupted. You almost got knocked out by two muscular men who came down from the sky like little drunk angels, who in turn happened to be famous characters. You don't know how you didn't realize earlier, guess timeline hopping also slowly melts your brain. You should really get an MRI exam sometime.
You almost passed out again when you realized you were chest-to-chest with Deadpool. Wade Wilson. Heart to heart. Body to body. Tip to tip, if that applies to you.
"You're real. I'm real. We're real." You deadpanned, stars almost twinkling in your eyes. No, maybe it wasn't the first time you've met a Deadpool. But this guy? He was the real deal. The original. How the hell did an original end up here?
"Pfft, you thought we were just drawings on paper? Two of the world's sexiest men in skintight costumes? Wrong. We're the real deal here, friendo. Can I call you that? Or will you try to kill me? You know I really didn't mean to crash into you I rea--"
"Alright, listen here. Wade, shut up. You," Logan pointed a finger at him then at you, still being embraced by Wade. "Do you understand any of the...nonsense he's talking about? Because I don't, and I don't. Have. Time for this. It's either you help me get out of here or get out of my way."
"Woah woah woah, since when did that 'we' turn into 'me'?" Wade reluctantly let go of you to walk up to Logan, his hands landing on his hips. "You're not the only one trapped here, you know, we're kind of all in the same boat here. We all fucked up our lives and it was definitely our fault bu--ACK"
You gasped, watching in horror as three silver claws stabbed straight through Wade's torso and out his back. Logan stalked closer, his scowl deepening. "Come again?" He taunted, his teeth grinding. Before Wade could get a word out, Logan turned his hand, twisting the blades inside of him.
"G-owww, FUCK. God, I swear this happened differently in another universe. Somehow hurts more this ti--" Logan stopped him again and began lifting him up in the air. By the torso. With his claws inside, being the only thing holding him up.
Your eyes widened, "Hey, guys stop that! Logan!" Â You yelled, taking a step forward, your hands held up in the air defensively.
Logan briefly glanced in your direction and grunted, tossing Wade to the side. âMove aside, bub. We need to settle some things.â Then heâŠlunged at Wade. They just started fucking fighting each other.
You backed up, watching everything go down. This could not be real. âI thoughtâŠyou guys wanted out?â You muttered, your voice barely heard over their grunting and blades clashing.
âYou know itâs true, so--argh, no hard feelings, right? Plus, I forgive you Wolvie.â
âI donât give a damn about what you think, Wade. Itâs all your fucking fault I was dragged into this. I was doing just fine without yoââ
âJust fine? You call spending all your days at bars and drinking all their supply just fine? While your life crumbles around you like a house of cards. If we were really on the TVA's watchlist, maybe they should've just sent us all to anger management sessions, huh?"
âStop fighting!â You shouted in a voice heavy with irritation, grabbing a clump of sand from the ground and hurling it in their direction.
Logan, reacting instinctively, closed his eyes and shoved Wade aside, now choking and coughing violently. âWhat the hell?â
Simultaneously, Wade spun to face away, retching into the sand. âOh god itâs inside of my mask. Itâs in my face holeââ
Logan regained himself quicker than Wade, to where he immediately brushed aside the sand on his face and stomped towards you. You took a step back, by the sight of his fists clenched and white knuckles you swore he was about to beat you. âWaitwaitwait! I donât have healing factor!â You rambled and held your hands out.
He paused in his tracks, his jaw visibly clenching as he tried to control his anger. Yeah, maybe he was used to taking out his frustrations on himself and now..Deadpool. But he couldnât do that to you. Youâre not even involved in whatever shit they got themselves into. You didn't deserve to get roped in their..mess, whatever it was. He let out an annoyed breath and swiveled away, seething internally. "I wasn't going to hurt you."
You slowly put your hands down, then looked around to see Wade still rolling on the floor. Upon hearing Logan, he snapped his head towards you both, the eyes of his mask widening. Before he could even get a little, tiny, miniscule word out, you spoke.
"ANYWAY...ehm..you both want out, yes? This is all one big mistake? I could help you. I've survived out here this long without being brutally killed." You forced a grin, facing the two. They blinked.
"Killed? What..who is in charge of killing here?" Logan narrowed his eyes.
Wade stood up to his feet, popping his wrist back into place. "There's--" His face under his mask soured, god he could still feel the sand particles crunching around between his teeth.
"ugh, there's others around? What kind of crazies would wanna live here?" He raised his arms, gesturing the vastness of this dystopian desert. Camera pans out, there's an echo to his voice, a tumbleweed passes by, you know what i mean
You scoffed, still very much salty about your own situation even though it's been years. "It's not like it was a choice. The only person could who take us out is Cassandra Nova, and she does not use her powers for that. She's basically with the freaking TVA, from what I know."
A singular laugh escaped Logan, his lips turning up in a knowing smirk, "Really now? How bad could she be?"
"Uh..let's see..multiple counts of murder, enslavement, power abuse, she's sadistic, evil, has a whole paragraph worth of powers. Unstoppable, basically?" You shrugged.
"I think we could get along."
"No, Wade."
"How do we get to her?" Logan crossed his arms. Perhaps he was the only one taking this seriously. You had gotten used to it already, but you too remembered how badly you wanted to leave this place at first.
"You two seem in a rush. "
"Yeah, well we're in a rush because I've got a whole-ass timeline to save, not to mention I also made a pinky swear to this guy over here. I promised the gruff-beard that I'd help him clean up his messy timeline, like a stain of last nights left ove-"
"Got it!" You exclaimed, interrupting him. "But uh, is that even possible? To..fix your guys' timelines, I mean."
"It better be," Logan glared at Wade. "Because otherwise, I'm going to tear you apart." He sneered, really making his point by leaning closer to him. These guys need to kiss already.
You nervously smiled. If another fight starts, you swear you were going to start ripping your own face off. "Okay! I know someone, guys! We'll all help eachother out, he's real nice, which means you probably won't like him--but he'll help! Follow me."
Oh, you knew someone alright. He was the most suburban-canadian guy you knew.
Lot's of dialogue in this, oops. This fic is kinda going off the plot of the movie, so I'm sure you know who you'll meet next! Leave ideas in the comments if you have any, since this fic is very freestyle and let me now...should i include the car scene we all wanted or too soon? Series Masterlist
Grabbing your backpack off the seat beside you, you stood and joined the crowd of passengers making their way to the front of the bus. You stopped to let an elderly couple join the line in front of you and used the momentary pause to glance out the window at your destination. A small diner in need of a fresh coat of paint and a good window washing sat off to the left while several rows of gas pumps were lined up on the right. Trucks, vans, campers, and SUVs filled almost every parking spot and spilled into the grassy field around the lot. Some vehicles were ancient, rusted machines that barely looked driveable while others were so fresh and high-tech they could have just been driven off a lot. Those were the vehicles you were looking for.
Stepping off the bus, you headed towards the group of four shiny new vehicles on the other end of the parking lot. On the way, your head was on a constant swivel as you took in everything around you: a middle-aged couple arguing loudly about who forgot to tie down the lawn chairs the last time they stopped, a somewhat familiar-looking man in a cowboy hat unloading a piece of equipment from his huge red truck while another long-haired man filmed him, a woman with dreadlocks fiddling with a remote control only for a large drone to drop out of the sky a moment later and land at her feet, a few children racing towards the diner with their exasperated mother trailing behind yelling at them to watch where they were going.Â
It was utter chaos and you loved it already.Â
As you approached the vehicles, you saw the Storm PAR logos printed on the sides and breathed a sigh of relief that after this sixth bus stop, you had finally tracked them down. You still didnât see who you were looking for, so you walked up to a man with dark curly hair wearing a white button-down Storm PAR shirt who was currently crouched down examining a weird solar panel-looking piece of equipment set up next to one of the vans. As you cleared your throat, he looked up from the machine and blinked, as if he was shocked to see someone standing there despite the crowds of people around him. Glancing around, he asked, âUmâŠcan I help you?â
You guess you shouldnât be too surprised by his reaction. In your cut-off shorts, boots, and halter top, you looked like you should be hanging out one of the trucks you passed when you first got off the bus, not the polished, company polo shirt-wearing tech heads milling around the Storm PAR vehicles. And you didnât even want to know what your hair and makeup looked like after four hours on that poorly air-conditioned packed bus.Â
So, instead of taking offense at this guyâs slightly dismissive tone, you smiled as you adjusted the backpack on your shoulder. âHi. Iâm looking for Scott.â
The man glanced over his shoulder but made no move to stand up. âHeâs here but heâs in the middle of some data calculations. Can I help you with something?â
âNot really. I had time off college and he mentioned you guys were having a really active season so I figured why not come out and see all this in action.â The man was still looking at you like he couldnât understand why you were talking to him and you suddenly realized you hadnât explained the most important detail. âFuck, Iâm sorry. I guess I should have mentioned, Scottyâs my older brother.â
Instantly, the manâs demeanor shifted and a huge toothy smile spread across his face. âOh! You should have led with that. Nice to meet you.â
Rising to his feet, he stuck out his hand and you shook it, officially introducing yourself. When he said his name was Javi Rivera and it was your turn for things to click into place. âJavi! Youâre Scottyâs business partner, right? Heâs told me about you.â
Javi let your hand drop and his eyes shifted towards his equipment once more. âReally? Well, um, you know, Iâve, uh, heard great things about you too.â
You grinned, grabbing onto the straps of your backpack. âScotty never even mentioned he had a sister, did he?â Javi gave a slight shrug, still not looking directly at you and you laughed. âYeah, that sounds like him. Never wants to get personal, everythingâs about business with him. To be honest, I donât see or hear from him that much which is just another reason I figured Iâd come surprise him when I had the chance. Plus, I read some research Scotty left lying around last time he came home and it was really interesting. Iâm excited to be able to see what you guys do firsthand.âÂ
âWell, Iâm sure Scotty will be glad to see you. Let me go grab him.â
Javi turned and disappeared into one of the vans. A moment later, he returned with your brother following closely behind. âJavi, I was in the middle of some important calculations. Why did I have toââ Scott stumbled to a stop as he saw you standing there.
Since he was a teenager, Scott had mastered the art of keeping his emotions hidden. He could be fuming mad, joyously happy, or heartbrokenly sad, and in each case keep the same perfect mask on his face. However, you knew his one tell. No matter how hard he tried, he couldnât keep the emotion out of his eyes. And right now, you could practically see flames burning within them.Â
For the first time, you wondered if coming to see him had been such a good idea. Shifting from one foot to the other, you tried to force a smile as you half-heartedly held out your arms. âSurprise.â
Scott remained rooted to the spot, his only movement the constant forceful chewing of his gum. Javi glanced back and forth between the two of you, the smile slowly draining from his face. Hesitantly, he explained, âShe said she was your sister so I figuredâŠâ
A cultivated smile spread across Scottâs lips but it didnât reach his eyes as they continued to burn into yours. âNo, itâs all good. Iâm just surprised to see her.â Without breaking eye contact, he held his tablet out to Javi who took it from him. âGive me a few minutes to talk to her and then Iâll get back to those numbers.â
Javi started to protest, assuring him there was no rush and he could take his time, but Scott had already closed the distance between you. Grabbing your arm tightly to the point of slight painfulness, he guided you past the rest of the Storm PAR vehicles and into the empty field.Â
Once you were far enough away that you knew none of his co-workers could hear you, you wrenched your arm from his grasp, snapping, âGet off of me!â
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â he growled, his mask finally slipping as his nostrils flared and lips curled into a snarl.
âWell, hello to you too!â You examined your arm where he had grabbed you, massaging it gently. âCanât a girl come visit her big brother?â
âNot when she wasnât invited or even asked if she could come beforehand! What were you thinking? This isnât one of your wild party vacations. This is my job!â
âI know that. I wasnât expecting you to drop everything and take me sightseeing. I just thought I could hang around and watch you guys in action. Iâve read some of the research you left at Christmas and I was hoping maybe I could learn a little more about it.â
Scott shook his head, his hands on his hips. âThis is our busiest time of the season. I donât have time to babysit you.â
âWhat do you think I am? Eight? I donât need you to babysit me. I told you, Iâm interested in what you do and thought I could just hang around and see how it all works.â You shrugged, âMaybe you could even take me on a chase or two.â
âHell no. I wonât have you getting scared and causing us to have to turn around in the middle of a storm run. Javi and I have worked too hard to get this company to where it is and Iâm not going to let you ruin that because, on a whim, you thought it would be fun to see a storm.â Scott scoffed as he rolled his eyes. âItâs so typical of you to still think that just because you want something or because Mom and Dad will pay for it, everyone else will bend over backward to accommodate you. Well, I donât have to put up with your bullshit anymore.â
You took several deep breaths and tried to keep your anger in check. This was not at all how you thought this would go, but lashing out right now would only make things worse. So, in a calm, steady voice, you tried to shift approaches. âScotty, we havenât spent any real time together since you left for MIT. And back thenâŠIâm not proud of the person I was and I canât imagine what that must have been like for you. But I was a kid who didnât know any better! Iâve grown up since you left. And this trip isnât just something I thought would be fun to do âon a whimâ. I worked hard to save up the money to come here because I wanted to see you and spend time with youâhowever little time you may be able to work into your schedule. And I promise I wonât get scared or make you stop your chase. If I donât like it, Iâll suck it up until itâs over then not ask to go again.â Taking a step forward, you gently placed your hand on his arm and gave him a timid smile. âLet me show you who I am nowâŠhow much Iâve changed. Please, Scotty.â
But Scott yanked his arm away and took a step back. âI donât care where you go, but you need to stay away from me and Storm PAR. Now, I have work to do.â He took one last look at you, and, for just a moment, you thought maybe he felt bad for what he said and was reconsidering things. But then, he blew a small bubble with his gum and popped it loudly in your face. You jumped slightly, the sound sharp and startling, before glaring at him. He had been doing that since you were kids and he knew how much you absolutely despised it. Shooting you one last smug smirk, Scott turned and walked off towards the cluster of Storm PAR vehicles.Â
You turned to look out into the open field, lip quivering, as you fought against the tears that were burning your eyes. Things between you and Scott had been pretty bad when he left for college, but you hadnât realized he still really thought so poorly of you. The last few holidays or family events he had been forced to come to, things seemed to be getting a little better. You thought that maybe you had reached a turning point in your relationship. But now it was clear you had been very wrong.
Looking back at the diner and overflow of vehicles, you wondered what you should do now. You had no idea when the next bus came by or how to get a ticket home or if there was a motel nearby you could stay in for the night or how you would even get there if there was or what you would do in the morning orâ
UGH! The longer you stared at the Storm PAR logo on the side of the van Scott had disappeared into, the less hurt you felt. Instead, the pain began to shift into outrage. How dare Scott treat you like this? You had spent a lot of money and wasted two weeks of your summer vacation to take this trip to see him. You knew it would involve listening to him drone on about numbers and graphs you could barely comprehend for most of the time, but you were willing to smile, nod, and seem interested to show you cared about what he did. But no! He didnât even give you a chance to explain yourself or prove that you werenât here to interfere with his work. He had just torn you down before turning his back on you and walking away. That asshole!
The sun was starting to dip lower in the sky and you realized standing here fuming about Scott wasnât going to help your situation. You could do that once you found a bus schedule or a place to stay for the night. However, as you stormed back through the parking lot, something caught your eye.Â
When you had come through the first time and passed the familiar-looking man and the long-haired guy with the camera, you had only seen their truck from behind. But now that you were looking at the front, you noticed the distinctive metal logo attached to the front of the truckâs grille: a tornado with horns jutting out the top of the vortex. And you realized why the man in the cowboy hat looked familiar.Â
Scott might not talk to you very often, but during the instances that he had, you had heard plenty of complaints about Tyler Owens and his group of Tornado Wranglers. Everything they did was the complete opposite of how Storm PAR operated and it drove Scott crazy that while he was out there doing the âreal workâ, this group of amateur YouTube chasers were the ones getting all the attention and acclaim when all they were really doing was getting in Storm PARâs way.Â
And Scott seemed to have another level of hatred for Owens himself.   Â
Out of curiosity, you had looked up the Wranglersâ YouTube channel and found it pretty entertaining. While Scott viewed every aspect of his work with complete seriousness and professionalism, these guys tackled the same work like they were having the time of their lives. They were still informative, explaining to their viewers how tornadoes formed and the types of destruction they can cause, but they would then drive straight into the center of a funnel or take chat requests of crazy things to do in the storm. It honestly seemed like a great way to get people excited about learning about tornadoes while also keeping them entertained. And it seemed like their nearly 850,000 followers would agree. No wonder Scott hated them so much.Â
Suddenly, you had an ideaâthe perfect little act of revenge.
Changing directions, you made your way over to Owensâs truck. You could see he was now alone, tinkering with the equipment attached to the bed of his truck. He had traded his white cowboy hat for a faded backward cap and had pushed his sleeves up above his elbows as he worked, his sun-bronzed skin on full display in the dying light.
Though you had only watched a handful of the Tornado Wranglersâ videos, you had a pretty good idea of the kind of man Tyler Owens was and how you could persuade him to help you. After all, these narcissistic, jacked-up truck-driving, overcompensating pretty boys were all the same. The kind who had been fawned and swooned over their entire adult lives just because they flashed a charming smile or a playful wink in the right direction. However, with just a little stroking of their ego or a bat of your eyes, they could become putty in your hands. All you had to do was introduce yourself.
Reaching the side of the truck, you tucked your hands into your back pockets so it thrust your chest forward and, biting your lip, called out coyly, âHey there, cowboy.â
Owens glanced up, a curious smile curling across his lips as he saw you, his eyes traveling from your head to boot and back up. âWell, hello there.â
Giggling softly as you placed your hand on the side railing, you asked in a sing-songy voice, âYouâre Tyler, right? The big...badâŠtornado wrangler?â With each word, you walked your fingers across the railing, your eyes locked on his.
He leaned back, wiped his hands on his jeans, and said, âI might be. Depends on whoâs asking.â He was still looking at you but his smile had slipped slightly and you realized you might not have grabbed his attention as well as you thought.
Placing both hands on the railing now, you pushed yourself up slightly, your chest pressed together, and you looked up at him from under your lashes. âWhat if Iâm asking?â
Owens stared at you for a long moment, his eyes still examining you thoughtfully, though you were shocked to see they stayed locked on your face and didnât dip down to your breast like you had expected. Then, finally, he said, âYou seem like a nice girl, sweetheart, but I don't think I'm what you're looking for. Good luck though.â He gave you a kind, yet dismissive nod, and went back to whatever he had been working on.
Your jaw dropped, lips moving silently as you tried to figure out what just happened. This kind of thing always worked on guys like him in the past. Show a little skin, stroke their egos a little, and they would be wrapped around your finger in no time. But he hadnât even given your act more than a passing glance. It was possible you werenât his type or maybe he was in a committed relationship, but neither of those things had exactly deterred guys in the past.Â
You turned aroundâproperly dismissedâand were just about to walk away when another thought crossed your mind. What ifâŠwhat if you had misjudged him? What if he wasnât the kind of guy you assumed he was? From what you had seen in his videos, he was cocky and overconfident and a huge flirt, but what if that was all for the cameras? During your very brief interaction, he seemed polite and respectful even as you tried to throw yourself at him, something no other guy had ever done in that situation.Â
Maybe you had gone about this all wrong. Maybe you needed a different approach. A more honest oneâŠ
You hurried around the other side of the truck so you were in front of him once more. Dropping all the over-the-top flirtatiousness from your voice, you said, âOkay, Iâm sorry. I thoughtâŠit doesnât matter what I thought, but the point is I shouldnât have done that. Iâve had a really shitty day and approached this situation all wrong.â
Owens didnât raise his head, but his eyes drifted back in your direction. Feeling like he was offering you a chance, you explained, âListen, the deal is I came here to surprise my brother with a visit, and as soon as he saw me, he told me he doesnât want me here and I should fuck off out of his way.â
That got his attention. Looking up, his brow furrowed, Owens asked, âYour brother said that to you?â
You rolled your eyes and hit the heel of your palm against the side of the truck. âWell, not in those exact words but the sentiment was there. The point is, he told me he didnât care where I went as long as I left him and his team alone. So, I plan on respecting his wishesâŠand wondered if I could hang out with your team instead.â
âWellââ He leaned back, clearly not interested in your request, but you cut him off before he could turn you down.
âPlease! Itâll just be for a day or two. I promise not to get in the way or mess with any of your work. I just know he has a problem with you guys and seeing me with you will drive him insane.âÂ
Putting down the wrench he was holding, Owens shook his head. âBack upâŠwho are we talking about now? Whoâs your brother?â
You realized you needed to get better at introducing people into a conversation before jumping right in. âScott? He works for Storm PAR?â He hesitated so you sighed and turned towards the other group of storm chasers at the other end of the lot. With one hand on your hip, you pointed lazily with the other, âThe surly tall one who never takes off his stupid baseball cap?â
Instantly, Owens straightened up and you knew you had piqued his interest. Chuckling, he asked, âWait, so youâre telling me Mr. Clipboard and Chewing Gum is your brother?â You nodded. âAnd you want my help messing with him?â
âYeah, that about sums it up. So, will you do it?â
The cowboy leaned over the side of the truck and gave you a wide grin. âOh, sweetheart, youâve come to the right place.â

the video
aitana bonmati x barca femeni x barca!reader
summary: on international break- a video circulates online that will cause your girlfriend, and club teammates, to be concerned
warnings: mentions of abuse, angst
on international break, you clashed with your coach over a situation.Â
youâve realized that your national team coach was being overly aggressive towards some of the younger playersâ the 18 to 22 year old ones.Â
as the captain, you gave them a safe space to talk to you about it. you had the platformâ as a 2020 ballon dâor winner, and 2 time champions league winnerâ to speak up about any situation that is bothering you.Â
even if that might piss off the âhigher upsâ of your national team.Â
after seeing your coach nearly scream, not yell, but scream at one of the youngsters on the team for not making a header during an international friendly.. you had enough.Â
you pulled your coach to the side and confronted him at halftime.
Â
âhey, why did you scream at her over the failed set piece? its her debut?âÂ
âdonât question me about my corrections.â he mumbled, looking away from you and waving at another staff member yards away.Â
âi will! you canât scream at the players about their mistakes, it's affecting the team chemistry and they need to be nurtured into having experienceâ not screamed at. you can see that theyâre SCARED to even come to training because of this.â you snapped.
this has happened for long enough.Â
little did you know, a few people in the distance were recording this interaction between your coach and you.Â
what shocked them was when the coach grabbed your arm, aggressively, and pulled you close to him so youâre just 3 feet from the left side of his body.Â
he squeezed your arm, purposely, which caused your face to squeeze as his physical assault caught you off guard.Â
âlisten, you do NOT question me about my coaching! maybe if she scored that, she wouldnât have been punished!â he said through clenched teeth, staring at you with darkened eyes and a vein nearly popping out of his forehead.
realizing that you wouldnât let him do this to you, you smacked his hand off of your arm and sprinted offâ completely shocked that he would do that to you.Â
the people who recorded the interaction sent the video to all news publications afterwardsâ the new york times, bbc, foxsports, tmz, 433â you name it.Â
at the end of the game, where you were benched after that confrontation before the start of the second half, everyone booed the coach.Â
everyone was confusedâ even you. at first, you assumed that your own country was booing you guys. that didnât make senseâ you guys won 3-2.Â
once you guys were in the dressing room, all of the fifa officials took your coach away to talk to him.Â
you had no idea that people recorded that assault that happened to you. some of your teammates noticed the red mark on your arm and the quietness of your voiceâ so they figured it had to do with the coach.Â
ây/n..â you turn around to see the young midfielder behind you with a sad smile.Â
the same 17 year old girl you defended after she was screamed over a missed header.Â
âhey! congrats on today.â you pulled her into a soft hug, rubbed her upper back before pulling away.Â
âthank you.â she smiled.Â
you couldnât resent her for the moment between the coach and youâ he is the problem not her.Â
when the national team got on the bus, the coach wasnât there. the nice assistant coach (who has fallen to the main coaches abuse too) took his place.Â
your eyebrows knitted together as you saw a notification from your barcelona teammate and close friendâ alexia.Â

instagram.com/justwomensportsâŠ.
when you clicked on the link, your face turned pale.Â
many people have recorded the moment between the coach and you from hours before.Â
you looked strong at first, until he grabbed your arm. the terrified look on your face was present until you smacked his arm away.Â
to say that the media was in an outrageâ that would be an understatement.Â
almost every news publication has posted about it. there was no possible way that the coach wouldnât be sacked for the amount of negative attention this has brought.Â
you didnât want to imagine how aitana, your girlfriend, is reacting to the situationâ as she keeps calling you over-and-over again. Â
y/nÂ

i am once iâm back in the hotel, iâm on the bus with the team right now.Â
after turning your phone off and looking at your phone, your national teammates on the bus were very quiet.Â
as theyâre scrolling on their phonesâ theyâre understanding why the mean coach isnât on the bus anymore.
your best friend on your national team taps your shoulder and you look over at her, seeing that she finished watching the video.Â
âWHAT THE FUCK?â she mumbles very quietly as she gives you a heartbroken look.Â
âwhen did this happen?â she asked.Â
âat halftime, remember when i had to pull him outside of the dressing room to talk to him..â you say.Â
your best friend frowns before pulling your head into her body for a hug.Â
âis this why you were benched once the game started again?â she whispers.Â
âi believe so.âÂ
one thing that everyone knewâ your girlfriend in spain wasnât going to let *that* slide.Â
the next day-- your 2023 ballon dâor winner girlfriend scored a goal in a game against another country.. she held up two fingers on her left hand and one finger on her right, dedicating her golozo for you. since you wore the number 12 on your club and national teams.
next, an important post on instagram spoke up about abuse in the community. a post that went viral alongside your situation.
aitana was quick to repost it on her storyâ bringing more support for you as you struggled with that traumatic moment.Â
before you came back to barcelona a week later, you told the âhigher-upsâ of your national team that if your coach stays, you would retire from international football.Â
you are 24 years old, so that is an extreme ultimatum.Â
they couldnât afford to lose you, one of the best players in the world.Â
the coach was sacked, charged for assault, and you are happy about it.Â
in barcelona, most of the girls came to your apartment to comfort you.Â
alexia, her girlfriend olga, ingrid, mapi, esmee, fridolina, patri, caroline, marta, and jana were all there to give you support.Â
you cried for the first time about it since the incident occurred. never in your life were you treated that way.Â
once the girls left your house hours later, aitana stayed. wellâ you guys lived together so it wasnât an option for her to leave.Â
with aitana, you told more details about the things youâve seen the coach do to the team. the way he ruined the chemistry and motivation of the girls is something youâre prepared to fix with the new coach coming onto the national team.Â
she cuddles you and plays with your hair as you talk. refusing to leave your side for a while.Â
the spanish national team had their own problems, which you know about, so aitana is able to help you as you help her through her problems too.
aitana and your club teammates vows to never let someone hurt you like that again.Â
