Am I reading too much into this or does Rewind have a very... possessive attitude towards Dominus?

Like he's mad at Minimus because he didn't tell him that he's related to Dominus. And then basically questioned Minimus' love for his own brother. I keep feeling that there's a sneaky undertone of 'I love him more than you do because you gave him up for dead and got on with your life without mentioning him again while I kept searching' being insinuated in there somewhere.

And then his reaction to learning that Dominus kept a secret from him. First, denial: no he wasn't a loadbearer. Then he brushed it off: no don't be silly. Then assertion: I knew everything about him!

And then he was incredulous/angry/determined and immediately demanded Minimus to show him what exactly Dominus was hiding under his armour. Look at his tone.

I know they were conjux but Dominus is still his own person. Why does Rewind think he's entitled to know everything about him? With what Minimus said up till that point it's clearly implied that the secret is something very personal. And also likely involves Minimus. What right does Rewind have to make that demand, much less with such an attitude?

First screenshot Rewind gets mad because how could Dominus' brother keep something from him. Second screenshot he gets mad because how could Dominus keep something from him tell me what it is right now.

Coupled with his downright fanatical obsession with looking for him it's questionable how much of Rewind's zeal actually has to do with Dominus and how much is just an expression of Rewind's own need, since he apparantly can't stand the thought of not knowing something about Dominus. Which includes what happened to him.

Then in the end it's Rewind who makes the choice to let Dominus die by cutting Chromedome's arm off, and while it's an understandable reaction to an emergency situation and he's doing it to save Chromedome, the way he said "It's not your choice to make" after he did it sort of seems to suggest that it's his choice and... idk, feels vaguely uncomfortable.

Okay weird idea, we know that The Matrix can create life by activating Hot Spots when close enough. But what if it could also make sparklings?

Rodimus is lying down on his berth flicking through his data pad while talking with Drift on his comm link. They are just joking and laughing after a long day until Rodimus stops talking suddenly, Drift asks what is wrong but Roddy only lets out a whimper. His frame feels all tingly and his spark feels as someone else is touching it and trying to bond with him. The phantom touching gets more intense and Rodimus begins panting unable to answer Drift who is clearly worried as his helm becomes cloudy from both confusion and pleasure. Suddenly Rodimus also starts seeing visions of the crew and himself but he unable to focus on them for long as a sudden wave of intense pleasure runs through his frame making his amour rattle as the strange spark bond gets stronger and stronger, just then Roddy has a the best overload he has ever had in months before lying limp on his berth.

A Couple seconds later Drift is kicking down the door expecting the worst only to find is Amica laying awkwardly on his berth while panting. With a very confused look Roddy tells Drift what just happened and how he thinks he just interfaced with a random ghost, the white and red mech just looks at Rodimus funny before dragging him towards the wash-racks before calling Ratchet to check on the red and gold mech just in case Rodimus accidently ate something he shouldn't have or is entering his heat suddenly.

It doesn't take long for Ratchet to arrive and begin checking over the red speedster however the medic suddenly gives both his Conjunx and Rodimus a confused look as it turns out somehow Rodimus is sparked but the sparklings show no Sire in their scan. Roddy is clearly freaked out fearing how he is going to raise a strange ghost bitty only for Drift to chime in that there were old stories about The Matrix creating life and sparklings with the Prime its currently bonded too.

Poor Rodimus freaks out again unsure how he was going to explain this to the crew or how he is going to raise the bitties. Thankfully both Ratchet and Drift promise to look out for them as well promising to help out with the bitties when ever Roddy needs help. Word also gets to Magnus and Megatron who also promise to keep quiet as well help out when ever Rodimus need their help. Half a year later and the Med-Bay is busy as ever as the strange sparklings finally emerge, Rodimus is lying back on his med berth holding one of the bitties while Drift, Magnus and Megatron all fawn over the rest of the litter. Ratchet quietly hands the speedster his medical grade before checking over the sparkling in his arms, with a pleased smile he carefully scans the bitty to try and guess their future Alt-Mode. "Well Congrats Rodimus it seems you have a litter of Triple Changers" Rodimus nearly fainted from shock.

I love drift breaking down the door & i love him just looking at roddy funny and helping his amica but i also love how megs, minimus, ratchet & drift will most likely be raising those triple changers with him 😂

They have given rides to many of the bots on the ship.

Minis are frequent riders, not that they mind anyway.

Everyone has at least gotten one ride on the Predacon.

Some don’t like the experience too much; others have to stop certain crew members from tiring the older bot out.

The last thing the crew needs is Steel Mauler collapsing on some poor bots.

Whirl is trying to talk them into letting him ride them into battle in their alt mode.

2. Warm naps with a Predacon

Steel Mauler is practically a giant furnace.

Something great to snuggle with when the temperature gets colder and for the bots with joint pains.

Turns out heat could help with the pain.

Great for cuddles too.

Bots have hidden in their frame and have ended up napping with them. Mainly because the older Predacon loves grabbing things when they are sleeping and refuses to let go until their nap is done.

No one is going to disturb a sleeping Predacon.

“Has anyone seen Rodimus?”--Minimus

“That was the first place I checked.”--Minimus

God the way you phrased this immediately made me think of Minimus giving birth in the Magnus armor and then having to push the sparkling out of Ultra Magnus' valve

He's got a big bitlet growing in his belly and it makes it very hard for Minimus to get around. He waddles around so slowly on his poor swollen pedes, and he just gets so tired trying to make it across the ship to do his daily tasks. Wearing the Magnus armor makes it much easier to keep at his work. His massive belly is pressed a little tight between his frame and Magnus', but the armor makes much better support than Minimus having to wrap his arms under his belly so he doesn't feel like he'll tip over. It's also easier to control armor versus walking on his own, Magnus' long strides get him around much faster than his uneasy steps.

Minimus goes into labor in his office quietly and alone. He feels a sudden wetness pooling in the armor and his panels opening under an emergency override command earlier than he expected. He had every intention to finish his last report, get out of the armor, and call someone from medbay, but of course nothing ever goes to Minimus' perfectly structured plans. His belly that had been packed tight against Ultra Magnus' plating made the opening transformation sequence lock up. He was too big and too close to the armor seal to initiate the transformation, so he was locked in. He cursed to himself, but remained as calm as he possibly could. The sparkling was descending rapidly, something he expected for carrying a sparkling much larger than his frame type, it would not wait around for Minimus to get unstuck.

He groaned and laid on the floor of the office. Being too loud would bring unnecessary attention, it was incredibly embarrassing for Minimus to be trapped in his armor by his belly. He knew that the Magnus armor had an interface array that could connect directly to Minimus' valve, it seemed like his only route to get the sparkling out of him and out of the armor. It took some effort to connect the hardly used function, but Minimus could synch his valve to Magnus' finally. There was a very wide tube dilating Minimus' valve open. It was very helpful for pushing the bitty out, but more importantly it was a direct expansion to Ultra Magnus' valve. Once his sparkling descended enough, it would leave Minimus' valve and pass into Ultra Magnus' to finally greet the world.

Minimus pushed and cried and panted and whined, but it was all contained in the armor. Magnus' voice box was deactivated to not make a scene, if nothing else Minimus wanted to keep his dignity. His thighs were sticky from birthing fluids and energon, and the bitlet had barely crowned. Its giant rounded helm kept slipping further back into his tiny valve every time Minimus thought the little one would come out. He didn't want to acknowledge it, but he knew some of the fluid in the armor was from overloading from the experience.

He felt like he would split in two when the bitty's shoulders were stretching his valve as wide as it could be spread. It was the most Minimus had been opened up, which was truly saying something with how Megatron loved to bring mass shifting into their berth. The big sparkling was a stubborn thing, it just did not want to leave its nice warm home in Minimus' forge the way his valve kept trying to slip the bitty back up his chamber. Soon with some hard pushing, Minimus could feel where the sparkling had left his valve and passed into the link to Ultra Magnus. Minimus sighed in relief, knowing it was halfway over and he was finally entering the easier part.

Getting the bitty out of Magnus was far easier than breaking Minimus in two. Magnus was huge, and while the sparkling was big even for a normal sized bot, he handled it like a dream. His valve was plenty lubricated by his natural systems, the excess fluids from Minimus, and transfluid from overloading so hard it had stimulated the armor into cummimg along with its wearer. The bitlet could squeeze out of Magnus' plush valve just fine, it was a much better fit than Minimus' tiny anatomy. He didn't feel most of the painful feedback from the armor like he did with himself, just the spasming and stretching sensation of the suit's valve pushing out a bitlet much more appropriate for its size. While Minimus was an exhausted mess, Ultra Magnus was a glowing new mommy with a cute chubby sparkling in his arms in no time.

When Minimus left his private office for the day, bots stared at him in shock and surprise as he casually carried a sparkling on his chest like he came in with it. He made a direct course to medbay, informing them of his little one and that he needed assistance whenever they were done with the sparkling assessment. Once he could get out of the armor he needed a long rest in the wash racks, for himself and to deep clean the filthy interior of Magnus. He was sure the sire would want to meet the sparkling anyway, it would give Minimus more than enough time to recoup from the rough experience. -🌱

AaauGhh... Minimus giving birth in the Magnus armour is such a gigabrained idea it's literally so hot. And the bitlet is so huge, he spends hours just getting it into Magnus' valve, oh boy <3

or!! OR... ppppost? war? au?? maybe even no war au. anyway an AU where Megatron and Minimus have never met before. Megatron has had several cityspeakers in the past before but none interact with him like Minimus does. None have bothered to speak with him more than necessary, if at all. wardens very rarely need to speak to their prisoners.

Minimus comes along and just... quietly greets him the first day. for such a simple act, it sure draws Megatron's attention.

i think this would be particularly fun in a version of the AU where Megatron IS inhabited (be it in root mode or city mode. TF please give us more cityformer continuing to have ppl living on them in root mode. please please pleasr) because what better way to pay your dues than being of Literal Service to the people? Ultra Magnus gets hired on as cityspeaker/enforcer (what better way to enforce the law than having optics and audials everywhere as part of the living city...) because they are hoping that with him being a stickler for the rules, it will help keep Megatron in line. except instead of doing his job as intended, Minimus ends up befriending Megatron and making the city better for those living there.

wait silly thought for a second- Minimus walking around and taking notes of all the unsafe places around the city/Megatron. there needs to be a guard rail here. this lighting isnt up to code. those overhead pipes are a safety hazard. these stairs are too steep, regulations state that each step must be so tall, and so on. Megatron fixes them by the next day.

anyway cue dramatic chase scene where Megs gets to shift around Minimus as he's getting chased down by the other enforcers. if you want to be particularly poetic about it, he might even use the safety regulations against the oncoming pursuers (whoops there went that guard rail. totally forgot about it. those stairs? Minimus or Ultra Magnus sized now. he can get up them easily.)

Oh my god the part about different structures not being up to code in particular… what came to mind for me is Megatron having been carrying out his penance for so long and being so wrought with the guilt he failed to take care of himself as well, his internals a dilapidated city. Meanwhile Minimus is just very matter-of-factly going around assigning OSHA violations to everything he sees and…

…Megatron finds he doesn’t feel apathetic towards it.

Perhaps Minimus was right… it would be nice if his citizens had guard rails. Oh, those stairs were in poor shape, and it would only take him a second to clean them up…

Just. Minimus helping Megatron both literally and metaphorically pick up the pieces of himself after showing he cares for him

Also oh my god the shifting the environment around to help Minimus escape? Insane. I’m in love with it. Even better if Megatron never really let Minimus close to any of his more sensitive spaces before, only to lead him right to his spark chamber and seal off any exit to ensure Minimus’ safety. Right there, in the place Megatron never allowed anyone near, he knew Minimus would be safe.

mins vs the universe part 2 (mins and the cons)

So our poor minimus has run into the ground bridge and is now in the middle of a battle. He decides to hide out on a rock outcrop but unfortunately Soundwave has also chosen to hang on the outcrop. Soundwave sees the small turbo fox and picks it up for its safety. Mins is startled to be picked up by what looks like a spark eater so he begins to panic. This leads to Soundwave walking into the decepticons ground bridge with a screaming turbo fox. Megatron is disappointed he thought that Soundwave had stopped this habit of bringing wildlife onto the ship. Soundwave hands mins to megatron to watch as Soundwave brings his supplies out of storage. Megatron is stuck holding this terrified turbo fox and decides to go get some paperwork done. He sets minimus on his desk and picked up a data pad after a few hours he goes to grab another one and finesse them all done and in a neat pile next to the turbo fox. Megatron decides this is the best thing ever and has Soundwave bring the pet supplies to his room. Now mins is stuck as another pet at least until predaking finds him and kidnaps him taking him to predakings den. Poor mins just wants to go home.

Wait Minimus is Mini Mini. He is visiting Dominus secretly at Dominus's request and Kaon is like "baby??????".

Minimus, unlike Dominus, does know shame and is considerably more protective of his dignity, so Dominus owes him so much for enduring the cooing of Kaon insisting on taking him for a "check up" to the nearest medic, Velocity, who is a colonist and therefor palatable. Rodimus gets Minimus's SOS and gleefully lies to Kaon that Minimus is his pet turbofox, Mimsy, and he generally is kept in his room given his small size. Kaon is understanding as he'd had to kennel the Pet sometimes in certain meetings when he thought another Decepticon might try and start something.

He calls Minimus darling and says they are very high energy pets and offers to let him have playdates with the Pet so he can socialize since he's sure Mimsy would appreciate it. Rodimus who is taking full advantage of the rare treat of holding turbofox minimus just nodding cool as a cucumber and says he'll talk to him later.

Kaon: a tolerable autobot! And a friend for the Pet!

Rodimus: this is the greatest day of my life

Minimus awkwardly thanks Rodimus for the cover-up and not being particularly clingy or "odd" about his alternate form and reluctantly starts appearing to help with the cover-up only trusting Megatron or Rodimus to hold him. Rodimus takes the duty very seriously, and Megatron is painfully respectful.

Kaon takes a very, very long time to find out the truth.

Just imagine Prowl appearing seeing Kaon and Dom and going

after rereading mtmte 33 i can't stop thinking abt the djd bringing "the pet" with them when they attacked the lost light 2... did minimus see or recognise him? did the pet recognise rewind? did the djd KNOW that agent 113 was minimus' brother and rewind's conjunx and that's why they singled rewind out?

i have never quite recovered from "what if the Pet was who killed Minimus" being suggested once. VERY cruel. 10/10 tbh. i do also like your idea here that they had some private "joke" going on because they knew Rewind was their "pet's" conjunx; yeah, I can see that, absolutely. (i definitely assume that once they uncovered Dominus' disguise, they knew who he was. Tarn seems to type to have read his work, actually. i bet he insisted on combining the subsequent torture with like, a thorough dissection of all the ways it was lacking compared to Towards Peace, god.)

anyway. i imagine that Rewind 2.0 WOULD have footage of the DJD attack on the ship, right? and probably therefore the Pet. i can see a situation where he only realizes well after the events of Dying of the Light that he had footage that could have been used to identify Dominus the whole time if only he had known that Dominus was hiding his OG alt mode. you can imagine what kind of mixed feelings that might have invoked. (i remain so sad that once the actual reveal occurs and is resolved, we get next to no room to unpack for either Rewind or Minimus what Dominus' death MEANS. can you... tell. HAH.) or realising that if he had ever had reason to show Minimus, he might have realised. gah. poor everyone, huh.

Sofia the First Season 4 in a Nutshell

Oh boy... Season 4. The one with the Wicked Nine story arc.

Day of the Sorcerers - 1/10

For some inexplicable reason, the writers wanted to redeem Cedric and finish off his story arc of being a villain, DESPITE 3 ENTIRE SEASONS OF HIM CHANGING PASSIVELY OVER TIME AND BECOMING A GOOD GUY AND A GOOD TEACHER TO SOFIA AND THE CHILDREN, BUT NOPE WE GOTTA HASTILY CONCLUDE THIS CHARACTER ARC. SO LETS HAVE HIM TAKE OVER THE KINGDOM AND ACTUALLY NEARLY SUCCEED ALL BECAUSE THE BILLY WEST WIZARD AND A BIRD PERSUADED HIM WITH VERY LITTLE CONVICTION. Its fucking hilarious cos at the third act, all it took to get Cedric to stop usurping the throne was Sofia giving him a glare like a child angry at her dad for not picking her up from soccer practice. And despite nearly taking over the kingdom, Cedric gets a second chance thanks to Sofia and her mum and everything just goes back like nothing happened. WOW ITS ALMOST LIKE THIS WHOLE EPISODE WAS COMPLETELY FUCKING POINTLESS.

The Secret Library: Tale of the Eternal Torch - 2/10

Remember, kids. If you have a history with invaders constantly trying to take over your home at every opportunity, befriend them! Its always good to share your land, even though its your land by right! Thank god we're dealing with dragons here not people, otherwise this wouldve been REALLY FUCKED UP. I mean this is fucked up, but still.

The Crown of Blossoms - 9/10

Finally, an episode that didnt make me wanna gouge my eyes out! A wonderful lesson about not using other people's valuable treasures for a festival and you should rightfully give it back to them. Even the boring Clover being greedy sideplot doesnt bother me.

Pin the Blame on the Genie - 0/10

Oh great, another episode about the Culturally Fucked Up Genie Police and the kid genie getting needlessly harassed and villified by the public all because of one racist wizard's opinions. Btw its established that the Genie Patrol have prison cells for misbehaving genies, WHILST THEYRE IN THEIR LAMPS. So its a prison within a prison. WTF?!

The Mystic Isles - -5/10

So, this is the famous Mystic Isles special...Honestly, for a world that's supposed to be where all magic originates, this is pretty dull. Like isn't the world of Sofia the First already magical as fuck? There are magical creatures everywhere in Enchancia, what makes this place so special? Also I really dont like the alicorn Skye, his oldtime medieval mannerisms get older after 5 minutes and it really feels like the show one-upped poor Minimus, since he was Sofia's first flying horse. Oh yeah and Sofia wants to be part of the Crystal Justice League or some shit, cos we need SOMETHING for our main character to do!

The Mystic Isles: The Princess and the Protector - 4/10

A tough fairy named Chrysta becomes Sofia's mentor into becoming a glorifed cop for the EverRealm and because she has this preconception of Sofia being this spoilt snob because she's a princess, Chrysta proceeds to not teach her anything and snark at Sofia throughout the majority of the episode. In any other series, this would be hilarious but here, I just feel sorry for poor Sof. I really grew to like Chrysta later on but this was NOT a good first impression.

The Royal Dragon - 6/10

Crackle and Sofia in Spyro form joins a dragon summit and the former fight with her egocentric rival in order to get people's attention cos her rival always steals people away from her before she can even make friends. Ngl I was expected to hate this episode but it was worth it to see that Crackle's rival is just as insecure as she is and made up half her boasting was made up so people would be friends with her. Also Sir KMR the Knight appears again to play schoolyard pranks on a bunch of dragons cos he's a petty bitch lol

The Mystic Isles: The Mare of the Mist - 6/10

Minimus is understandably pissed off that Sofia arrived with a brand new alicorn TM as her new best friend and tries to string along both of them on her new mission to find this mystery horse for a test. I dreaded this episode was gonna go with Sofia gaslighting poor Minimus into thinking Skye is the better companion and he should deal with it. But No. Sofia couldnt even finish her test cos the mystery horse she was looking for chastises her for not considering Minimus' feelings and favouring Skye over him. I like that, it really puts Sofia in a humbling position and helps her realise how important Minimus is to her.

Through the Looking Back Glass - 9/10

Its a good Cedric episode so its already a step up and we get to see Calista again, which is always fun. We find out the actual reason why Cedric has had this reputation from everyone, especially his sister Cordelia, that he was this bungler who would never amount to anything, and its revealed to be a completely accident which Cordelia forgives him for and apologises for all the teasing and petty rivalry she had with him over the years. Its a very sweet victory for Cedric and I honestly wish THIS was the final episode of his character arc than Day of Sorcerors cos it really shows how much he's improved as a person since Season 1 and that he doesnt need to take over the kingdom to prove his worth. Side note: I love how Sofia and Calista team up to clear Cedric's name and its cute to see Sofia act like a big sister to Calista.

Princess Jade - 8/10

Wasn't expecting a non character like Jade to get her own spotlight episode but here we are and its really sweet! I love how Jade was originally excited to go to Royal Prep to be with her bestie Sofia when they found out Jade's a descendant of royalty but quickly grows to hate it when she realises she'll never see Ruby or any of her village friends that much anymore, her entire life is changed upon this revelation...AND THEN WE GET A FUNNY AS HELL SIDEPLOT WITH AMBER BECOMING A MASTER ARCHITECT. Why wasnt this an entire episode alone about Amber being into architecture, that is wicked cool?!

And we now return to our scheduled programming of serotonin-filled spookiness cos this time Sofia, Lucy and her toxic witch friends are doing trick or treating and Calista wants to join in but they dont want her to join cos she's too adorable to be scary and they're worried she'll "cramp their style." But Calista just wants to have friends and make Sofia happy. Man, I miss when Sofia the First episodes were like this.

Pirated Away - 8/10

After crashing into a pirate ship by accident, Miranda, Sofia and Amber have to help a bunch of geographically challenged pirates find a golden figurehead so Sofia and the family can see a meteor shower along the way. We get to see Miranda being a bad ass mum, Amber learning to respect her mother's word and have a heart to heart talk with her and a lesson about just fucking listening to people.

The Mystic Isles: The Falcon's Eye - 5/10

Oh goody, another Mystic Isles episode and this time, Sofia has to search for the Wicked Nine, a bunch of magical items belonging to the greatest Disney villains of the past to stop the villain from the Mystic Isles special, Prisma from gaining all their powers. Cos apparently Sofia the First really needed a daedric artifact storyline.

The Mystic Isles: A Very Mystic Wassalia - 7/10

Okay, the fact Chrysta has spent the whole of Christmas with Sofia doing protector tasks in order to distract herself from her incredibly lonely life cos she has no family or friends to spend the holiday is truly sad. I really felt for her when Sofia rounds up everyone in the Mystic Isles for a Christmas party. Just...awwww.

The Birthday Wish - 10/10

Sofia has a shit birthday so she wishes for a redo of her birthday and she gets it...40 times over. Yknow that segment with Huey, Dewey and Louie in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas? Its basically that but with Sofia slowly going insane. The biggest highlight is definitely Sofia getting more exasperated and pissed off with each repeat. Its so rare to see Sofia mad or even angry cos Sofia's a very grounded kid who's got a big heart so seeing her being pushed to the limit is hilarious. And as always, there's a good lesson about looking on the bright side of things, which is especially true since Sofia still had a pretty good party to begin with, despite how chaotic things got.

In Cedric We Trust - 8/10

I feel like this whole episode was an apology for Day of Sorcerors cos this ep tries to address the fact Cedric nearly usurped the throne a few episodes ago and Roland's not happy about that. But unlike a lot of kids shows where the villains make shoddy attempts to atone for their actions and the characters just immediately forgive them without any repercussions, Cedric is nowhere near the levels of vile monster levels of Starlight Glimmer or Catra so im a lot more on board with Cedric's redemption cos he's got a far better track record of being a good person than any 2010s redeemed villain combined. Also Cedric earnestly trying to restore Roland's trust not just to get everyone to trust him again, but also because the two shared a friendship together when they were children is very sweet. I kinda wish that was explored a lot more in the show earlier. I wouldve loved more Roland and Cedric bonding.

The Mystic Isles: A Hero For The Hoodwinks - 5/10

Clover wants to be a hero like Sofia so he pretends to be one after hitching a ride to the Mystic Isles and manages to garner a fanbase of flying hedgehogs. Trust me, its not as exciting as it sounds.

The Mystic Isles: Undercover Fairies - -5/10

Another boring Chrysta episode, this time its about Chrysta having a bad experience with other fairies cos they all thought she was too rough and tough and not delicate enough to be a fairy. I mean, good for Chrysta to embrace her femininity but I really dont care at this point.

A Royal Wedding - 10/10

Aunt Tilly's wedding? Okay sure, but what if there was a main plot where its revealed Amber is actually the heir to the throne, not James, causing him to have an identity crisis and immediately tries to humilate Amber in front of the whole reception but nothngs working cos James still thinks Amber is her season 1 self, not her current self who's mastering all her royal duties like a pro and not caring about getting her dress dirty. So he accidentally summons a sea monster, which causes havoc at the wedding and can only be calmed with the promise of cake. So Amber, Sofia and James work together to stop said sea monster and the twins reconcile, James makes up for his actions and Amber dubs her brother First Knight. A heartwarming episode with a dash of crazy shenanigans thrown in. Finally, James gets a good story right before the show finishes.

The Royal School Fair - 3/10

Its nearly the end of school for Sofia and the gang but the former doesnt know what school she wants to go to after finishing Royal Prep, so everyone tries to get her to join their personal fave school rather than one of them sitting down with her and actually working it through with her. Oh and for the cherry on top, Amber signs Sofia up to join a school WITHOUT HER CONSENT and despite being called out for it, Sofia decides she wants to go there anyway. OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE. WRITERS, YOU HAVE ONE JOB, DONT TEACH KIDS TO BE COMPLACENT WITH PEOPLE'S BAD BEHAVIOUR.

The Lost Pyramid - 4/10

Sofia and the gang are exploring the inside of a pyramid, where they have to rely on different senses other than their eyes to solve the pyamid's riddles? Nice! A blind princess who's also an archaeologist?? THAT IS SO FUCKING METAL I LOVE THAT AND OH MY GOD, HILDEGARDE. GO AWAY!

Return To Merroway Cove - 2/10

The Elf Situation - 8/10

Sofia encourages James and Amber that just because a peace summit is looming over them and that they're trying to prepare being future monarchs with newfound responsibilities, doesnt mean WE CANT HAVE FUN. And she's right! You guys are in your early teens, enjoy life while you can before the ! Btw i love how 3 kids managed to solve a years-long rivalry with two elf clan leaders in one afternoon when the king took years to get them to reconcile but to no avail lmao. Especially when the two elf leaders in question were mostly petty squabbling and got along the moment someone suggested to do something fun. See, Sofia's always right!

Forever Royal - -6/10

The sheer mood whiplash from an absolutely wholesome first act that wouldve been a great bookend to the series with Sofia graduating Royal Prep, Amber training to be queen, James becoming a full-fledged knight in training and everyone in Enchancia is all coming together to celebrate how much our main character has grown over the couple of years...only to spend the last two acts of the special hastily wrapping up the entire Wicked Nine story arc with a brand new villain instead of the one we've been building up over and the season, complete with higher stakes, a world-ending threat and ending with Sofia defeating said villain like a Kingdom Hearts cutscene spiritually reminds me of this

CONCLUSION

Oh boy this was a difficult season to get through. S3 had a weird story arc with the Secret Library, but at least that wasnt NEARLY as intrusive as the Wicked Nine arc, where it clearly felt like Craig Gerber tried to crowbar it into the season, especially for how out of place the usual episodes are. Craig said in one of his podcasts that the Wicked Nine was meant to be a serialised story arc for the whole season but Disney shot him down, saying that it'll be too complicated for a pre-school show. And honestly, I fully get behind Disney on that. But Craig had enough creative power to jam that shit in so we're stuck with a boring ass daedric artifact plotline that meanders until the finale, clogging up what couldve been a decent season to wrap up the series.

Still, apart from that awful last season, I really recommend Sofia the First. It's such a cute, fun show that has its problems and defnitely isnt for everyone as its very straightforward in its themes. But if you like musical numbers, silly characters and cute saccharine stuff like me, you'll like this show just fine.

And Prowl of course, but he's not on the ship lmAO man, Drift really did everything he could to make this quest to find the knights work, he didn't even want to do any of this Overlord shit in the first place, but he took on practically leading the project so Rodimus could focus on the quest... Anything to find the knights........

But that moment when you can recall happy memories without it feeling like a punch to the gut anymore? With it making you feel happy, even, for ever having met them in the first place? Would not trade that for anything. The pain is just. Unfortunately a necessary part of the path to getting there, there's just no avoiding it

He really believes in the quest to find the knights more than anything, he's willing to take as many hits as he has to to keep Rodimus on the path to finding them... as long as it makes Cybertron a better place, it doesn't matter what happens to him........

like, I've always seen people talk about Drift putting up with all of Rodimus's bs just because he admires him, and I'm not gonna deny that he does, he definitely thinks Rodimus is a pretty cool guy, but so much more than that, his vision told him that Rodimus was going to find the Knights of Cybertron and that they were going to restore the planet and make things better than they've ever been. More than ANYTHING, Drift has done everything he has done not because he admires Rodimus too much to say no to him, but because he truly believes Rodimus is integral to the restoration of Cybertron. He believes that succeeding in this quest will make it so that no one on Cybertron will ever have to go through anything he's gone through ever again. That's what it's always been about for him, even from the beginning, even for Deadlock. Aaaaa I gotta stop or I'll do an entire character analysis on Drift right here and I gotta save that for when I read the miniseries lmAO

Minimus couldn't watch them today because of work, so they had to get a babysitter. Unfortunately, last minute one of the tiny ones gets a fever. Nothing worriesome, just enough to make them fussy and grumpy and sleep all day. Rodimus can't send them to the sitter sick, but he also cannot miss this meeting. Missing a meeting of the Primes overseen by the Magnus is just. Not. Something you do

So he begrudgingly bundles baby into their little backpack and, luckily, they stay asleep for the entire commute and are still dead to the world when Rodimus takes his seat. A few other attendees give him curious looks, but nothing too bad.

The meeting goes on a little too long tho, and bab wakes up. They climb down from carrier and immediately zero in on their sire. Bonus points if they're a daddy's sparkling. Start to fuss and cry when mama won't let them down, finally manages to wiggle free and immediately skitters to Ultra Magnus and beg for uppies. He's frozen for a moment, having a split second fear for his secret, then decides he can't leave the poor child to cry and wail. Picks them up oh so carefully in his giant hands, waving away a cringing Rodimus's concerns with a simple, "It's alright. Now, ______ Prime, you were saying...?"

Baby is happy as a clam curling up in his lap and napping using his huge servo as a blanket to hide under 🤭 Rodimus is gonna have one heck of a story to tell Minimus later!

Mpving this comment to here to avoid potential spoilers. , I have a slight theory. Megs absolutely DOES have the Prime Devotion Beam™ (thanks I'm adopting it too lol). But Soundwave plays a frequency that provides interference so it can't harm the others. Meaning Soundy's the only one who noticed. He turned off the frequency to specifically affect Starscream, but seeing the chapters since 8, I'm wondering if Soundy was trying to block out Roddy's PDB to save t Screamy and by extension the Cause. Too bad it only helped in the short term. I also love how Orion's sucg a sweet bean that no one notices he might ALSO have special Prime powers? Like Zeta doesn't because he kinda just took the role. Any reverence is an infirned opinion or dedicated to his actualy character but Ori literally can just stand there and get people to spill the beans. But don't worry about that, that's just Orion.

Ultra Magnus (separately from Minimus or as a guy not being piloted by Minimus), Soundwave, and Jazz are all three that I find very difficult. Because I don't write them very often.

I don't think I ever really give myself milestones beyond "finish the fic" or "have a submission for every day of X event".

Rodimus being clingy when he's sparked and constantly needing to be around the sire.

I think its a symptom of carrying.

Rodimus isn’t with the sire of his sparkling and doesn’t want to tell any bot onboard the lost light who the sire is.

He’s promiscuous yes, but he’s also a bit of a slut for a handful of mechs he’s close with.

He outright refuses to tell Minimus and Megatron who the sparklings sire is.

He knows its not fair since he clings to then often during meetings and on his shifts. He can’t cuddle close with the sire of his sparkling but he can cuddle close and cling to those who are strong and have a protective field.

He goes out of his way to dodge Drift and Ratchet whenever the two are near him. He’s on a complete opposite schedule of them because he doesn’t want Drift asking who the sire is and he doesn’t want to lie to him.

He really doesn’t want to hear Ratchet grump and grouch at him so he steers clear of the old cmo.

Its not easy to avoid Cyclonus though.

And in turn its not easy to avoid Whirl who is actually really helpful but also a verbal pain on Rodimus nerves.

Tailgate is sweet and a clinging comfort Rodimus can hold in his servos and lap until his tanks get in the way. By that time he’s mostly in berth with the mini at his hip and Cyclonus, Whirl, Minimus and Megatron taking turns shrouding him in a protective field that makes him sparkling relax.

Its an instinctive drive every carrying mech has to be protected and keep their sparkling protected.

His friends can’t stop the protective streak they have and Rodimus can’t deny it makes him purr.

Poor Rodimus is definitely cornered during berth rest.

Drift and Ratchet demand answers after seeing him and Rodimus does his best not to break down in tears.

Rodimus never answers but he does think of the sire and feels his spark tighten with sorrow

So if you were gonna write MegaDrift how would you do it?

Sorry, you really threw me a curveball here, coming up with megadrift that would please not only me but also you it's kinda hard. So have my half assed ideas.

Generally wartime ships with IDW1 Megatron are hard without him feeling like a different character to me, because uh... well, he deliberately keeps himself from connecting with people, it's a whole deal. If he were having intimate relationships that gave his life meaning, he wouldn't have turned out the way he did yeah. I'll spare you the whole essay. He has people he likes, sure, like Ravage, but it's always with this sense of distance, of being seeing as a leader first, his closest relationship beig Soundwave and that's some weird toxic validation loop.

Megatron lives to fight, he won't admit he lives to fight, he leads a cult of personality where everyone either worships him or wants to take his place. He maintains control via maintaining his imagine (the lie he tells himself) and tempting people with the promise of power and then keeping them in line with power plays and beating them (this also feeds his own worldview back into him). This isn't someone who has a healthy understanding of intimacy and consent.

So outside of the 3 main ships I have for him that are its own weird thing, if Warlord!Megatron was being intimate, he wasn't having proper relationships, certainly nothing tender. It's more power plays, feeding his own ego or just straight up using sex as a disciplinary measure (hey, Impactor parallel). And while I could put Deadlock into this, is something for which I could use basically any Decepticon, there is no particular reason to be Deadlock (there may be no reason to be Deadlock), and he doesn't have the characteristics that someone like Starscream has that would make this more interesting.

So I give up on wartime. Let's do something with the Lost Light, and this is an idea that came up in your server, but I think I'd would be super fun if Megatron and Drift had like a mutually parasocial relationship and are now very bitter over that.

Like, Deadlock idealized Megatron on some level, that's how he gets you to join the death and murder cult, and Megatron invited him personally. Then he realizes Megatron isn't really delivering and bails. This really pisses Megatron because he liked Deadlock as someone who festered the sort of anger Megatron himself has and was good at murder.

Then Drift gets even more pissed that Megatron ditched the Decepticons wholesale to go on a roadtrip (he's right tho), and Megatron is like "you ditched the Decepticons first!" (this is in a scenario before his full character development, so he's still very petty). And there's just this increasing miasma of resentment between two people that want to be better and can't quite figure it out and practically everyone in the ship hates them and they remind each other of the way they used to be, but also of the hopes they used to have. They could try to relate to each other, but they won't.

Rodimus gets tired of this and tries to force them to get along by scheduling these Lost Light command bonding exercises because hey, it's better for the crew if they know how to work together!! They have to go because Rodimus is trying to be a good captain. Poor Minimus DOES NOT want to be here, but he's the only one who actually does the activities properly. At some point Rodimus may just shove them into a closet to see if they can fuck their issues out.

But also, something I'd like to see exlored (and that would require Megatron to have his character development) is that Drift has always felt empty, he tries to cover who he is with all these different facades he keeps dropping. And then comes Megatron who also used to put on a facade and was far better at lying to himself than Drift ever was, but when Megatron tries to find himself he eventually just does it, he can never be who he was but he regained some of that person, Megatron can be at peace with the fact that he will never be at peace with himself. And it's so unfair, it's so unfair that it comes so easy to Megatron when Drift has struggled for far longer. When it was Megatron who encouraged Drift's worst traits. And it doesn't help that Megatron's whole deal is accepting that he enjoy's violence for violence's sake, when for Drift violence has always been about survival.

Oh, oh dude I have to tell you about this dream I had last night.

It was about Minimus. He was super horny but there was no one around so he decided to fuck the Magnus armor. He was riding its spike like his life depended on it and it was so big that it (in very graphic detail) penetrated right through his cervix. I don't know how but the Magnus armor came and filled Minimus' forge up with transfluid. He ended up pregnant from it and had to sit before a council of other high-ranking Autobot officials (namely Prowl and Optimus) and tell them what happened. Prowl just laughed at him because he didn't believe him. Imagine being impregnated by your own armor.

oOooh I have seen the idea of Minimus fucking himself on the Magnus armour before, it's soooo hot.

Also, this is kind of a return to our roots. Anyone remember the fucking. Ultra Magnus berserk baby? Some of the first asks I've gotten were about Minimus finding out that the Ultra Magnus armour got pregnant, and it has a baby...

Yeah... the armour would probably have some transfluid reserves. For the sake of making Magnus feel as real as possible and not like, y'know, it's piloted by a little man. So when Minimus rides the hell out of the armour's giant spike, and oh lord I bet his belly is bulging and his poor valve is quivering with the stretch, he gets the surprise of a lifetime when it shoots a fat load straight into his forge. He didn't even have a baffle or a cap on... Minimus spends the rest of the night trying to clean all the transfluid out of his valve, but it's no use...

Once he starts showing, and it's quick because that's Ultra Magnus' baby he's carrying, he has to let the high command know that he won't fit into the armour anymore and they need to replace him quickly...

MORE MINIMUS PLEEEEEEASE

"I knew I'd find you here." You said as you stepped into Ultra Magnus' or as you knew him, Minimus Ambus' habsuite that worked as his own personal office also.

The Magnus armor rested at the corner of the room and Minimus was busting his aft with paperwork.

The Autobot lifted his crimson gaze from the datapad on his hand and looked at you, "Where else would I be?"

"It's Friday, I don't know, like, having some fun?"

"I don't do f- f-"

"After all this time and you still can't say it properly?" You grinned mischievously as you sauntered over to his work desk and pushed couple datapads aside so you could sit by the edge of his desk.

The minibot was no doubt about to object to you sitting on his desk, but you gently placed your finger over his lips and grinned, "Should I show you some fun time?"

"What do you have in mind?"

"Follow me and I'll show you. You and me can team up together."

That was an odd way to put it? Minimus swallowed but sighed in defeat and put the datapad down. You were all smiles, knowing that you two would no doubt have some fun.

Or so he thought.

"EAT MY DUST!" Whirl cackled as his Dry Bones character speeded past everyone else. For a mech with claws, he was damn good at Mario Kart.

"Hold up there Whirlie bird!" You laughed, "I just got a Blue Shell!"

"You wouldn't dare!"

"GET DUNKED ON!" You shouted as you activated Blue Shell and that weapon speeded through everyone else and exploded right on Whirl's character.

"THIS IS BULLSHIT!" The blue copter shouted as you speeded past him with your Daisy, but despite getting nuked, Whirl came in second place.

Other members of your group, like Tailgate, Drift, Rewind, and Chromedome managed to finish also, leaving poor Minimus last with his Luigi.

"This is your idea of fun?" He asked as he looked at you and you quickly pecked his cheek when others weren't looking.

"Just hold on, we are about to play Just Dance!"

"I'm gonna beat you!" Whirl shouted and you cackled, "Bring it chicken leg!"
