well firs t n foremost to give credit where credit is due, this bjork reddit AMA response really gets to the bottom of it , ever since i first read this here on tumbr a few years ago it really rly stuck w me:

the way this answer helped me is like, it helped me realize i dont need to be so regimented i dont need to put all this pressure on myself to create..All that does is feed into self inflicted guilt when i cant live up to my own expectations u.u you see for my whole life i've never been able to plan anything. yes i can think about the next steps i want to take, i can assemble a plan, i can see the logical way forward, but my moods. or like, idek. how to explain..

i cant force anything. if im not feeling it, i cant force it. ive STRUGGLED w this like i dont wanna be this way. because my feelings i cant predict. like for example i worked on music all winter because thats what i was feeling. then suddenly in march i just like, wasnt feeling it all of a sudden. As soon as it hit me i was like Fy767*T&UG*** because i didnt know when it was gonna come back. i still dont know!! im just trying to be patient waiting it out..in the mean time i have suddenly become enthused with drawing again after not ~feeling~ drawing for most of 2023. sometimes i go for weeks where i dont take a single photo and then suddenly it starts flowing again.. my website was also left untouched for most of 2023 until recently.

thats just one example of this repeating pattern in my life that i didnt understand for so long. theres years of my 20s where i couldnt feel passion for anything at all, looking back now i believe those times i was meant to be focusing on stuff in my psyche that needed healing to clear out some headspace for art. and this bjork quote put a lot into perspective it showed me how to reformulate my thinking to be more accomodating to my disposition. when i'm patient & kind w myself, take each day as it comes, let go of the imaginary pressure, let go of "the future", stuff starts to come thru easier.

and maube its gonna show up in ways you dont expect but its true that the mundane world offers so many ways to practice being creative & giving u stuff to weave into the art u want to create.. every water fall starts w a single drop its trueits true :] thats my advice i spose i really didnt meant to write this much but im boooored.. actually my nighttime boredom writing is one of those habits i never considered to b creative until very recently. there's so many small & automatic things we do that can lead to a meaningful life & purpose.

i guess fun clem facts first? hit all the spiderman notes. Clem's defining thing as a spiderman is his ocean-beach theme. bro yearns for the sea (me too and i can walk to it) this all would start in id say... senior year highschool? so they'd all be 17 going 18, before college.

Moving to NY he becomes close friends with his science teacher Dr. Robert Octavius (more on him later) Clem is very smart, thats why he got picked as an exchange student, but he's very shy. while Peter more of a dorky loner who takes photos, Clem tries his best to not talk to people (which is very difficult when Gwen Stacy befriends him and drags him everywhere)

tbh i might change his spider bite origin to maybe an after school meeting with Dr. Robert in a lab. Showcasing some projects his team is working on, including some spider related research. maybe on the web production, an insect focused research to strengthen our modern day materials BUT IM GETTING NERDY ahem

i thought itd be fun to have his spider bite also affect his physical body, mainly his hair going white. like... all of it. he was already bleaching it beforehand so it wasnt the biggest deal, he just has to dye it blond instead. He also has his eyesight improved, but he chooses to keep wearing glasses to "not be suspicious" or smtn

weird note, but clem would produce his own web. it freaks him out and shuts himself in his room for a good few days trying to understand it. fun stuff

becoming spiderman, he starts doing all the masked vigilante stuff out of

Clem becomes very close to Dr. Robert and his wife, almost becoming like.... their son (???) yk middle aged married couple w no kids are VERY fond of smart and charming teenagers. He gets invited to dinners, science conventions, all the stuff.

a big thing with spiderman, especially since the spiderverse films, is the concept of the "canon event". specific points in a spiderperson's life that are inevitable. a person close to them dying and learning a valuable life lesson, the chief of police sacrificing himself, etc etc.

that being said!!!! what is clem's canon event? weeeellllll i really wanna make tide weaver's whole story into a comic, maybe start with small comics first. but cause its fun i'll tell it here.

Dr. Robert, as well as his wife, Dr. Olivia gets invited to a big science exhibition. many great minds hoping and working hard to make the world's future a better place, even OSCORP's founder is there (wow!) and with this invite, they were given the chance to invite 1 person. so of course, who are else are they gonna give it to if not Clem!!

the evening of the event rolls around and is on his way. he tends to take an hour or 2 at night to sweep through the city, see if theres any crime and all that. but he couldn't be bothered that night. even when he saw some shady people, even when he could sense something wrong nearby, even when police cars whizz past him to chase some escaping vehicle, he couldn't be late, Dr. Robert was waiting outside the building for him!

i didn't think itd make sense for clem's first canon event to be unlce ben. he wasn't his uncle, he was peter's. didn't wanna kill peter either or their entire relationship wouldve ended right there. so i decided who else fits the role than his very own teacher!!! yk the guy that treated him as a son in such a new environment.

this'd be the part of the comic where the first villain is introduced. so of course i picked doc ock cause i love doc ock and especially doc ock WOMAN amazing revolutionary 10/10 she'll mourn her dead husband so much.

will probably make another post all about the other characters (aunt may, uncle ben, peter's relationship w clem, peter's relationship with tide weaver which are 2 very diff things, gwen and MJ and harry) yell at me in my inbox anytime <3

thank you so much! im ok w answering! i dont want to speak as if i am an expert on how to draw things in general as i am learning as well and definitely am not completely learned, so i might not be the best person to ask since im not very professional w my art as I do it as a hobby (and I can only speak on mostly digital cartoon matters) but i reallly hope to try and help u out even a lil ! im really happy that you’re eager to draw :] I wish you so much luck muwah muwah

i also hated when ppl told me “just practice” and i dont wanna inflict tht on u EITHER LOL but also thats just what i ended up doing for awhile but i tried to find some things to help ^_^

tips for practice: My number one rule is that practices should be challenging but still fun, I know it can get frustrating trying to redraw a pose over and over trying to get it perfect. And over time it rlly is all about muscle memory, the longer you draw the more your eyes will pick out specific shapes in everyday life and convert them into its own vision of them! or at least its good to look at life that way, try to pin point key shapes and stress less on details in practices. after you look at key points, THEN you can go over what you have and draw in and over it to make it more “complete.” To stop practices from getting too stressful I recommend starting out drawing what you want a little more simple looking than ur desired finished product. This helps eliminate the pressure of everything not looking “perfect” and keeps your art more loose and fun. Doing this a few times is gonna get ur brain to recognize patterns in art and how things look/flow in anatomy and such. dont get stuck in ur own head abt perfecting everything to the point you either 1) give up bc ur not at a level capable of it being 100% “perfect” or 2) focus so much on making it perfect that you end up saying the work looks “wonky” or stale in dynamics, So while I do think studies help, don’t get too lost in them. I always practice with media I enjoy too, whether it’s characters or fashion I enjoy.

Strategies learning to draw something: people get mad abt this one but I think tracing reference photos is great. its been awhile but When I tried learning to draw hands better at first I would trace them then put the traced image to the side of the canvas, then try and replicate what my mind saw as its most important angles and aspects. Same for clothing folds/hair/etc! I think it’s maybe not the best idea to trace the ref and use the tracings as is, because you learn more from tracing it then trying to replicate and simplify what u learned into the style you’re working in. Find what shapes you like from them and don’t over detail it. you may have to go by eye and think “what parts of this ref photo should i simplify to fit my style” and for me, its usually adjusting the length of the torso and then the limbs by associations. i dont recommend feeling like u need a reference for every art you make though, its ok to let ur own head try out its own sometimes too while trying to learn this, see if it remembers any call bad from the past referenced sketches! over time ull remember where everything goes more, these days i rarely kick myself to use refs but im sure they still would help to use, but figure drawing simple blobby figure in a bunch of random poses was a big thing i used to do as well to get better at full body art + overall dynamics (still does this). also paying attention to silhouettes is great 

Exercises and how they work: I WANNA HELP U SO BAD BUT to be honest, all the works on my blog ARE exercises! i rarely actually do finished pieces, if u scroll thru my posts ull notice most r sketches. i usually just fill up a page and call it “warm ups” then i get attached to some of them, take a few, and just line them up pleasingly on a smaller page, then color them in (or sometimes fix the lines to be more clean too). im not rlly a person who “exercises” to practice, it more so happens from just me drawing a lot for fun as a hobby! but i really should. i will tell u this has humbled me a lil i need to start practicing too 😭 LOL but a good exercise is to look at what ur inspirations do, and study it. Make a collage and write out what you like most abt their styles/what u want to gain from them. For ref Here’s a page I did awhile ago when someone asked me abt my insps:

Beginner mistakes to look out for: its hard for me to pin point “mistakes” beginners make, as sometimes we cant avoid all of them or even notice them, progress comes from growing out of old ways. some mistakes are even the foundation of ur future amazing cool style! but i think some things to look out for could be these, from my own old art experiences

Hands were the first thing I learned bc i liked drawing them. I don’t know if that is the best way to go but I think it is smart to practice sooner than later, here is a lil guide thingggyyy wingyyy from awhle ago

i see beginners shy away from drawing signs of age in people, sometimes adding too much detail on an older person in cartoon art makes it look weird, so i try and hit the key markings on ppls faces of age.

Too thin of lines. sometimes its a stylistic choice to use thin lineart, and it can look amazing ! but sometimes it can flatten an image if ur not familiar with its flow. im not saying use thick line art, but more so to keep in mind the weight of ur strokes, adding depth with a thick thin combo of line art can do SO much for the simplest of pieces. heres a visual from a while back when i talked abt my brush + more abt lines:

but if ur desired style is thin lineart that is cool too! tbh it was just harder for me as a beginner

sometimes artists think they need to do full lineart for everything and then hate how it looks compared to the sketch, do not fear i will introduce u to my bff: painting over a sketch, extractinging the lines, then calling it line art. i only do this sometimes but its a fun exercise-ish thing to do in a pinch. example:

finding what shading fits ur art. sometimes ill see ppl starting out who have a style thats very simple, but they use a very detailed rendering process on it. this is not something id ever police of course, art is each persons own choice! And it CAN work. It can be so cute! but sometimes mixing two very contrasting mediums of art can throw off the “put together” look of it. i use to abuse the airbrush tool thinking it made my simple style look super cool and detailed, but looking back on it now those pieces looked a little off, having such a simple style have somewhat more realistic shading. dont get me wrong the ability i see ppl use rendering like that is so insanely talented! but i found cellshading to be a good match for cartoony art like my own. a tip i learned way too late abt that is rather than shading each layer by color picking a darker color, instead use a clipping mask over the entire art (above line art too as I color my lineart) and lasso tool the areas u want shaded + fill it w a saturated purple then set to multiply + lower opacity. also, sometimes coloring can come out chalky looking when u meant for it to be smooth and transitional, i think this comes from overshading and overlighting pieces without reason. pay attention to where the light source is, and focus on making the shaded and lighter areas nice shapes that cover the necessary areas, then u can add additional shading to the smaller details of what should have a casted shadow/light  

its good to spice up ur art now rather than later, focusing making ur art pop more w backgrounds will help ur coloring skills look better too! i dont mean detailed huge backgrounds, a small lil color pallet and design rather than a blank white bg. like this will make u feel better abt it or at least it helped me *sweats* yeah:

beginners tend to draw blank faces like “:)” but I think a good thing to do is try and get silly with expressions early on. It’s okay if the mouth hangs off the face cartoonishly with joy or shock, it’s ok if the eyebrows are super high in surprise.

tracing and pasting it as is (already said this but I’ve seen ppl do it a lot with hair styles and it makes it look alienated from the rest of the style) (final fantasy fans found critically injured) n if need a ref for a pose, using a real humans anatomy as-is doesn’t look quite right on a cartoonyish drawing. Shortening torso and legs usually comes out of this for me!

flip ur canvas i promise u it’ll be less embarrassing over time!

using guidelines for perspective and foreshortening is GREAT. Do it stylistically rather than realistically to add some groove to it...yay. Having silly perspective in art can make it look like a 10 so easily opposed to a normal front facing sketch. Look at cool poses from fashion magazines! Don’t be scared to draw something you don’t feel confident in conveying perfectly, this is why progress redraws exist :)

Drawing the hairline b4 u draw the hair is great, it helps u understand where their hair flows from, where it starts and stops, AND prepares u for drawing bald ppl. Also don’t make the head too big, the skull IS bigger up top, but sometimes I see an alien head affect.

Anatomy is an interesting mistake that beginners make a lot, but it’s one they find harder to notice! When I started out, all my art would be SO wonky, but I didn’t even realize it! It still happens today too! specifically though I see beginners struggle with the arms in this department. My advice is to try and measure them out and make sure they don’t go past the knees, and are the same length as each other when Unfolded. asking for criticism is hard but it helped me realize when i would make something bigger/longer than it should have been in my art, and stuck with me being able to go “oh... i see it LOL” 

clothing wrinkles- do not over do it! Too many wrinkles and shading can look unpleasant and wirey- like a plastic table cloth all bunched up which isn’t exactly what ppl wear. pay attention to gravity too

Hi I noticed something specific that really prevalent in your art which is sort of the charm and unexpected shapes thats hard to get without looking at real life or references. the grounded/personable feel. This is something I really like and is specifically something I want to get better at. Is there some sort of technique you go through or often draw off references? its really cool!

If it’s about clothes, there’s multiple things that come together for that effect I think.

Yes, I do use references a lot (whether from looking in the mirror - which I have a body sized one by my desk, or photos, or old master’s paintings; also by the way a great thing about folds is that you don’t need to find references in the exact same pose as you’re drawing - you can just find references of a similar garment that is bending in a vaguely the same direction and transpose that onto your pose).

But, also, my style is very simplistic and I rarely do any shading, which means that if I do things that don’t make much sense but have pleasant shapes, it’ll look ok. I did study composition and shape language a lot in the past, and I think it helps on a smaller scale too. I hope that answers at least a bit 💦

'Why didn't I say I love you?' I thought, looking at the dozens of photos of me and my boyfriend. We had just gotten into such a big fight, and amist all that rage, I stormed out of the apartment. Ugh, I can feel the lump in my throat, the growing urge to break down crying. Why didn't I just say it? Why was I so angry? He hasn't contacted me since, and I dont feel it is my place to contact him. Its been hours, maybe this is our last fight? No. Dont be silly, you love him, and he loves you. Heh, dont worry, dont worry? Ive been repeating that silly line too myself for the past week, oh, how I miss the warmth of our sleepy cuddles, the small talks, the silent dinners in each others comforting presences. I miss him, my love, I miss how we would lay in bed, have silly banter, and just, cuddle till we couldn't hold our eyes open anymore, till our brains finally said thats enough. Oh, how I miss Thomas.

I finally broke down crying, its around 2 am, maybe I should text him? But, no. I cant, its not my place....but, he also deserves an apology. I type it up, hoping the paragraph was good, before realizing, a call would be better, Deleting the paragraph, my finger going up to hover over the call button, one second of hesitation, before pressing down and calling him. It rung three times, three rings Ill never forget what happened next.

The call started, I wait for the hello, signifying that he was on the other end....."Hello? Im sorry, but if your calling Thomas, hes busy right now" a female voice, almost shaky replied, I recognized it to be his mother's voice, I quickly responded, hoping she wont hang up before I get the chance to speak. "Is he ok? Are you ok?" I was concerned for both of them, one, my boyfriend has always picked up the phone, and two, his mothers voice was so shaky, almost like she has been or is crying. "No, and no. Thomas- he- he is in the hospital right now, hes.....hes not going to make it." It took me a full minute to comprehend what I was being told, before I knew it, tears were already rushing down my cheeks "w-what happened?" I said, trying not to sound like I was crying, trying to stay strong. The voice on the other end, hesitated for a minute, the silence growing, before it was broken, and she had said "He had been in a car accident, fatal." I couldn't take it anymore, letting out a broken sob, trying to calm down. The phone hangs up, his mother must've decided the conversation wasn't going anywhere with the way things were going.

I drop my phone on the bed, crying as I sink to my knees. Hes gone? Hes gone? That cant be true.....but it is, isn't it? I cant deny the facts....some memories flashing through my vision. We were cuddling, his arms around my waist, we were having a small chat. "My love, we both know I make the better pancakes, you can't deny that." And I had responded with a playful chuckle "uh-huh, well, sorry Honey-boo, your wrong." And it all began. All the memories flooding my brain, tears rolling down my cheeks, soaking the fabric of my top. "Why did you have to take him away? What the Fuck did he do? He didn't do anything to deserve this........" I said angrily, before continuing on, a sadder tone, one that was softer "Why didnt I say I love you?"

oohhhhh man thank you (ya got me so flustered rn ssksksk)

and my secrets?? oh boy… mhhhh honestly I just do a lot of studies like photo reference studies, anatomy studies, hair studies which all sounds really boring (because it is) that’s why I don’t just do studies for the sake of studying something, I only study when I have no brain power to draw anything original (which is like 70% of the time cause to draw anything original you need an idea first, then you need to find reference photos that MATCH your idea and that can takeAGES then… well you know the drill)

ok so because I don’t really have any secrets or actual tips to offer, I thought that I’ll just talk about how I do things and what is my thought process behind doing them… mhhh here we go

doing studies is the best time for me to just draw without worrying about how my drawings are going to turn out cause your task here is to simply copy/replicate what’s on your reference photo. so… how do I go about it? when it comes to studying I like to do it in my sketchbook (but sometimes I work in procreate too, it depends on my mood honestly) my vash doodles are actually studies, cause that’s how my studies look like. I find something that I like, something that interests me, something that I want to integrate into my own art or something that I want to give it a try because it looks cool.

my sketchbook is filled with disney studies (specifically moana and elsa sketches lol I love the fluidity of disney’s facial expressions)

portrait studies (I started doing the 100 heads challenge like a month ago and I didn’t even get past 20… I’ll finish it one day tho!!)

MORE VASH STUDIES (that’s the easiest way for me to practice anatomy and facial expressions dude just have so many cool poses and funny faces)

art style studies (I study art styles of other artists like laia lopez cause I like the way she draws hair specifically I also did art style studies of artists like loish or samdoesart simply because I like their art style even though it’s not really the direction I want to go with my own art, I just wanted to try something new)

traditional anatomy studies (I only do those when I feel like it tho)

and many, many other studies. cause you see, for me, the goal of doing all that is too get to know myself better and what I like and to keep developing my own taste (and also to get better at drawing DUH sksjssks)

so to summarise do studies. study the things that you like. copy what you like because really that's what art is. you copy what you like but you're not exactly becoming that same artist you're taking aspects or elements of something that you see and you want to integrate that into your own work, but of course in order to understand how that style works you need to observe it and copy it on some level and the thing is that even when try to copy something you won’t draw it in the exact same way the other artist did. AND THATS THE POINT. studying other artists is really just drawing what YOU see and interpreting it in your own way, so you’ll always end up bringing some aspects and elements of your own style into any artist study you make.

pheew this has gotten quite lengthy… anyway so this how I do things I hope this could help… somehow 🫣

HERE I GO AGAIN....NOW LET ME TELL YOU....

Ok so when I go to look for certain pictures they have, or seem to have, dissapeared from my photos. So instead of the one I wanted to post you have a picture of the two bulb beds in front of the olive tree. Mind you if you saw it as it is now and not tidy like this you would understand my title, so I will describe their present state. The front bed is not too bad it now has a rose and bulbs coming up. However, the other bed is a weeds delight. Yes there are some bulbs and a geramium lurking in there but the grass and weeds have decided to make it their home over the past few months, so my wife has her work cut out, but when (IF) it rains it won't take long to clear. Keeping everything as rustic and natural as possible up here usually means less work, however, like with most things we do that rule of thumb often flies straight out of the window.

But like most things in life - and there's always a 'but'-, as I've got older I've started to fall apart. As those of you who follow me already know I've managed to get my Prostrate operation done, but now they have found my lower spine is a bit of a mess so I'm back at the hospital....thinking of taking an appartment there......I've had my MRI and I see the Specialist this coming week when he will tell me what they are going to do. THEN I CAN GET MY LIFE BACK! All the things I love doing, playing Petanca, walking, doing odd bits around the finca are now a no no. So I'm hoping they can sort this out asap and I can go back to enjoying my pastimes. It's one of the reasons that my writing has been placed on hold. I can not sit for long periods, so I have to keep getting up and wandering around which in turn means I sometimes loose my story thread and concentration. This means that at the moment John and Ella are somewhere in middle age France fighting the demons, but on their own.

So I have come to a decision. To get back some of my 'lost photoes' I will have to sit in the FFZ amidst the plants and watch for the birds and animals to come visit so I can take fresh pictures of them. Its a bit like trying to get a photo of our local Squirrels, little dark red fury pipe cleaners who move like grease lightning. Thats the problem with living in a Clearing in the Forest they can see you coming, and also know exactly where the wild life camera is so all you get is a bit of bushy tail or just a blur...but I will get one....one day. So as I said, starting this week here I go again, I will keep you updated.

It has taken a long time for me to start showing which I know is normal for some people but I just want to see a tiny little baby bump because then I can look at myself in the mirror and see the little thing that is growing inside of me.

This morning when I woke up and went to the bathroom I noticed a tiny little bump that had seemingly grown overnight, I knew it was a bump too because it was quite unlikely I would be bloated right after waking up. I almost screamed because I was so excited that I finally has a little bump after 16 weeks but I didn't scream because I didn't want to alarm George.

I went back out of the bathroom to wake George up and show him because he has also been so excited for this day, he always has his hand on my stomach in hopes that there will be something there but there hasn't been until now. I got back in bed to wake George up nicely with a sweet kiss to his forehead which luckily did wake him up.

"Are you ok love? Do you need me for something?" He said right away

"I'm fine but I have something you might want to see" I said

This caught his attention so I moved and stood up and he noticed right away what I was on about. I watched his eyes fill with love as his hands reached out to touch the small bump at the bottom of my stomach.

"No way you have a little bump its so cute" he said

Dream:

I have been chilling today on my day off work not really doing anything and just making the most of the time off. I got up to go to the bathroom when I noticed a tiny little baby bump forming on the lower half of my stomach. At first I shrugged it off thinking it was bloating but then I remembered that I have barely eaten anything today so it is quite unlikely, the more I looked at it the more I thought it actually was a baby bump. I'm only 10 weeks as well which is quite early to start showing.

Clay is going to be so excited like he has been telling me all the things he wants to do when I get a bump and how much he is going to talk to the little bump so he feels like he is talking to our baby. I went to go and show him knowing he would be incredibly excited, he was in his set up room so I went in there to join him.

"Morning bub" he said as I came in the door

"You will never believe what I just noticed" I said

"What is it?" He asked

I lifted my shirt to show him and his jaw dropped from what I'm guessing is surprise and excitement. His hands reached out and he put them on my stomach feeling the tiny bump that was there. He took about a million photos of it to send to people specifically his parents and sister because in his words he wants to show it off.

Sapnap:

I have been quite bloated this last week or so so I look like I've got a bump even though I kind of don't although it could be a bump now I think about it because it never changes size it is the same everyday and all day. Now that I think about it I might have been showing for the last week and have just ignored it but you can never be sure.

It is around mid day and I'm going to see Sapnap while he takes a bit of a break from working so we can eat together. When I walked in the room his eyes widened right away after he looked at me which I didn't expect.

"Is everything alright you look like you've seen a ghost" I said

"You you're showing" he stuttered

I forgot that I was wearing a tight top today instead of an oversized hoodie like I have done most days in the past few weeks. He ushered me over and he felt the bump before taking pictures of it and calling dream and George to show them because he was just so excited.

Quackity:

I'm 14 weeks along as of yesterday and this morning I noticed that I was starting to show a little bit. Alex hasn't see the bump yet because he hasn't got up yet but I'm not about to wake him up for this seeing as the bump won't just disappear.

He did get up a bit later so I went over to him and gave him a hug before lifting my shirt to show him my little bump. He looked mostly surprised while looking ay my bump and them reaching out to touch it moving his slightly cold hands all over my stomach which made me shiver slightly.

"I had no idea you would start showing this soon that's awesome" he said

"You can start showing even earlier than this" I laughed at his lack of knowledge

For the rest of the day Alex wouldn't take his hands off my bump even though there isn't much of it he is obsessed with looking at it and having his hands on it because he stays it makes him feel closer to the baby which is just the most adorable thing ever.

Karl:

Karl woke me up this morning in a fit of excitement over something, I was still very much half asleep as he was trying to tell me something at a rapid pace which my brain didn't understand. I rolled over to face him to see if that helped but it did not.

"Please slow down I'm still half asleep I can't understand what your saying" I said

"Sorry I'm just so excited you have a little bump look you can see it" he said

I looked at my stomach and he was right there was a small little bump that could be noticed if you were aware of what I looked like before it was quite obvious actually. Karl put his hands on the bump and started softly rubbing his hands over it.

The two of us got up and got ready for the day because Karl is doing more shooting for mr beast today and now he wants me to come so he can show them my little bump seeing as he is so excited about it he wants everyone to see.

We got to the shoot and I let them get on with whatever they were doing until they stopped and Karl came over with all the others to show them. They were no where near as excited as Karl was but I'm sure that was near impossible because he has just been jumping around all morning but they did think it was cool. Chris was happy too because it reminded him of before his son was born and he showed the two of us pictures he had from when Katie started showing.

Wilbur:

The other day I noticed that when I wake up I have a small bump in my lower stomach and I know its an actual bump because although I was quite bloated at the start that went away and now I have this bump. I haven't really thought a lot about it because I'm still very unsure about this pregnancy I love our little bean but at the same time I don't quite feel like I'm ready yet and I feel like people are very judgy when it comes to parenting and pregnancy and I don't want all of that.

No one had noticed my bump because its been cold and I've been wearing mostly hoodies even Wilbur hasn't noticed and maybe I should show him but its just something that I want to keep hidden so that people don't judge me. Today though it has been quite warm so I haven't been able to wear a hoodie but Wilbur isn't in so its ok.

I heard the front door go which I knew was Wilbur and I had no time to go and change so he's going to see my bump. He walked in and sat down next to me not noticing for a moment until he pulled me close to him and thats when he started smiling super hard.

"Wait you have a little bump why didn't you tell me?" He asked

"I just wanted to hide it I can't take the judgement of other people" I said

"Oh love it's ok I won't let anyone judge you plus its so cute our little bean is making them self known" he said

This made me feel a little better and Wilbur being so excited helped too, he put his hands on the bump and kept them there for a good while just taking in the fact that that was our baby.

Scrolling on the prom outfit websites you were trying to find the outfit you had fallen in love with when you had first seen it yesterday. Clicking on his notification which had just popped up you started a completely new conversation.

"So yh I was looking at prom dresses and found the prettiest one and now they do t have it 😭 it's only been one day" you texted slightly laughing at your exaggeration
