I watched it. I watched Saw V. Never cared about those movies before.
Holy fuck he was going to let him live. He was going to save him. But what then. What would happen if he did live…ok but that’s why predicting outcomes bc he had to be there to disrupt it.
Lmao.
#it was so funny#like so homoerotic#and so well thought out#like oh ok so the jigsaw guy was actually kind and not a murderer bc he let ppl make their own choices#and all the people could’ve worked together instead of died#and if all 5 ppl survived instead of killed each other#they’d only have to have given like 2 pints of blood each#and mark hoffman being trained by jigsaw guy#like ok here’s ur chance ur going to be my cute little apprentice murder (;#and the fact there’s no unnecessary shit#it gets right to the point#there’s no meaningless wives or backstories#the backstory is brief#well ofc Ik there were 4 other movies or whatever#but it was so good#i haven’t paid attention to a movie or cared abt a movie in so long#and saw movies I never liked if my parents watched them or whatever#bc w my parents it’s awkward but also just??? being able to enjoy it#being able to fill the room with my thoughts & feelings & it being my own curated experience#and I love Scott Patterson but this is the only time I’ve seen him as not Luke Gilmore Girls#he’s so. idk what it is#and I love the name Peter#and his character was so good bc he didn’t even have that many lines#and how he was figuring everything out sooo fast he was cursed and doomed by the narrative#and how it was a searching narrative like#they were seeking each other out like a fucking love story#and the asking questions or speaking to Mark Hoffman#in rhetorical terms like when he’d piece more of it together#like ok…why is it as if you’re forming a connection with him…#and Mark constantly trying to get in contact with Peter and finding him

hot take but. oda is honestly one of the most interesting prominent side characters in y0 to me. like. don’t get me wrong obviously i don’t condone his actions, but speaking as a character design guy, i think he’s got a whole lot of complexity to think about in his story and identity that people tend to ignore/overlook because he’s not a black and white “good” person. like no shit he’s morally fucked, that doesn’t mean his intense pining and crazed level of dedication to tachibana and the lengths all his guilt and repressed love for the man he saw as the best thing to ever grace his life drove him to aren’t interesting to think about– if anything it makes him more interesting. he was. really something
#people like to joke about wanting problematic queer rep instead of just good upstanding citizens all the time but then you get someone like#oda and suddenly all nuance dissappears and liking him as a character (for being a well-made character I mean) is equated to#condoning sex trafficking. like. no that’s not how that works#though I do think- regardless of him being a shitty dude- he does count as a victim of burying your gays#but that’s less about his death being narratively a bad choice and more that there could’ve been more queer rep amongst prominent characters#to balance it out (who don’t die)#though idk I’m always a little put off by the all too common Gay Chracter Dies For Their Tragic Love Interest trope#because it’s. too common. and depressing. but again I think it could’ve been balanced out if someone else was prominent and#canonically queer (also thinking like. nishitani seemed pretty close to canonically bi but. he. also died. so)#anyway. yeah on the other hand im glad they didn’t sugarcoat or morally sanitize him as a character for the sake of his queerness though#I would’ve really liked to have seen more on tachibana’s side about what he thought of oda and their relationship in general- cause they#knew each other for quite a while and were undeniably close. even lived together and whatnot. and all tachibana really got to say when he#found out oda was probably dead was just. well just that. that he’s probably dead. I feel like he should’ve gotten to be more shook by that#and/or more deeply conflicted and pained by the combination of his potential death for makotos safety and his responsibility for#trafficking her in the first place. that’s. such a deep well of complicated emotions to sort out and they really did absolutely nothing#with it. like. it makes me wanna write something that’s how much is There that was unused. so much with that relationship in general really.#hhhh….. anyway I should shut up now#jun oda#oda#yakuza#yakuza 0#rgg#rgg0#rambling#oh yeah also. hating him is understandable but you have to then apply the same judgement to all characters who have done some real shitty#stuff in their pasts to get by- which is quite a few characters- including lee who’s far more liked and was a literal hitman#(saying that as someone who also likes him as a character quite a bit and Likes that he’s in a moral grey zone) so. yeah.#yakuza 0 spoilers

it’s so sad to me that nico like never learned how much percy tried to help him yk
like percy literally rounded up his closest friends after being the only one to find out nico was the son of hades and decided to at least try to give nico a chance to live his life when the kid literally just tried to kill him, his sister just died, and through everything percy knows hates his guts - like he took all that info and decided to make a suicide pack with his closest friends in order to protect nico when giving nico the prophecy would’ve been the most logical and honestly understandable thing to do
like genuinely do ppl realise how EASY it would’ve been to just give the prophecy to nico his ONLY living relative (other than hades) just DIED they could’ve been like “listen you take this prophecy give it 6 years you’ll be dead with your sister and literally everyone else you know and you’ll be a hero for it” instead even though percy has an entire life, people who love and care for him, and a future wife infront of him he takes it upon himself to DIE in 3-4 years how fucking BONKERS is that
he also almost abandons a WHOLE OTHER QUEST putting himself and annabeth in danger just bc dumbass nico is out doing god knows what in the labyrinth and ends up getting caught (he was doing smth i’m being dramatic but still)
could you imagine being percy your going to war (and from your perspective you’re going to die in the next week or so after methodically doing everything in your power to keep this other random kid who you think hates you from suffering that fate) that kid comes up to you with a plan so you trust him just do be stabbed in the back bc that kids father wants him to be the prophecy child even tho you’ve been mentally preparing yourself to die for the past like 3 years?? id jump that kid too if he randomly came into my deep dark prison cell trying to break me out and then shun him after all that
like i read the way nico talks abt percy and he just seems bitter all the time he’s like “psh percy and his fake friendship what a dweeb can’t believe i had a crush on THAT guy🙄” like you’d be dead if it wasn’t for his friendship gay boy
i want like 5 years into the future annabeth is sitting with nico one day and is like “lol yeah i remember that one time percy made us all pinky promise to keep you safe and we all thought he was dumb bc you hated him sm but he really just wanted you to have a good life and now look at you!! :)” and nico to slow turn to her “…what”
like to this day i get that nico was mad at percy for not protecting bianca and bc of his internalized homophobia or whatever but why not hate on the actual people who sent her on that quest rather than a random kid you just met who said he’d try WHICH HE ACTUALLY DID DO and not idk literally any adult figure who sent her into the fire to begin with
i just want nico to realise that percy is simply just a boy who literally wanted nothing to do with any of this and was trying his best to free nico of that same burden sigh (;_;)
like those two are the fattest example of a miscommunication held together by misunderstood betrayal
disclaimer this is obv dramatic and the prophecy definitely doesn’t work like that but like think abt it ok

Even before the episode, while rewatching old seasons, I was just struck by how big an impact Buck’s had on Eddie’s life.
Like, please, picture this:
You are Eddie Diaz, ok? An army vet who quite literally just went through an extremely traumatic experience, immediately got left by your wife and in a desperate move to find happiness for you and your son you move across the country to start a new life.
You are the new guy at work and this man about your age really has it out for you. That’s fine by you. You’ve put up with enough bullshit in the army, you are just here to do your work, it’s harder than that to get under your skin. Plus, this guy seems okay, aside from all the dick measuring, and you’re sure he’ll tire himself out if you just don’t play along. Then, oh surprise, after a single shift you give the guy one compliment and he folds completely, before you know it he’s decided you two are friends. Fine, good. You miss the army’s camaraderie. This will probably be just like that.
Few weeks in, Christopher comes up. You hesitate because you don’t like talking about your kid with strangers, but you are worried about him being out there alone during the earthquake and there’s really no way to avoid the subject forever. You’re already dreading the pity looks from people who don’t understand this kid is the best thing that’s ever happened to you. Instead, you get a wide smile, “he’s super adorable, I love kids”. In retrospect, you should’ve expected it. What you don’t expect is the way Buck spends the entirety of the shift reassuring you that Chris is alright, even when you’re pretty sure you’ve done nothing to betray your worry (you know better than to panic, it does nothing to help), but Buck seems to notice anyway and keeps sprouting curiosities to reassure you. He even drives you across the torn up town at a reckless speed to make sure you can reach your son as soon as possible.
Few weeks later, abuela has an accident. Buck drives you to the hospital, even though you could’ve taken a cab to the firehouse to pick up your truck, and goes all the way in with you. He’s a good friend like that. Turns out, he’s a very good friend, because he catches you by surprise calling ahead to let the Cap know you need help with Chris and arranges a whole day of him hanging out with the 118. You didn’t ask for it, and he doesn’t expect so much as a ‘thank you’.
Next night, he makes a big deal of introducing you to a woman and you are already dreading, once again, the reveal moment when you have to explain that thank you very much but you are still married and really your only priority right now is your son and- wait, that woman is the perfect caretaker that might or might not be the solution you’ve been desperately searching for to get your and your son’s life together.
This guy you just met a few weeks ago has given you friendship, reassurance, company, thoughtful help without you ever asking (you’ve never been good at asking for it) and he’s just sitting there smiling proudly while he helps you possibly assure your kids future.
All of this... it happens in the first FOUR episodes of s2 after Eddie is introduced. No wonder he’s in love ride or die for Buck. Who wouldn’t be?
In a year, they are inseparable. In two years, Eddie makes him Christopher’s legal guardian in case he dies. In three, Buck saves his life. In four they are basically a family and the person Christopher goes to in a panic. Five years in, Buck is in a coma and Eddie Diaz cannot even look at him, cannot picture a world where he’s dead, cannot envision his life without him.

•If you say yes she would be so happy hugging you tightly, not ever wanting to let go she loves you dearly and is more protective of you to not lose you

•If you said no, tears just tears bursting out like a water fall as she would nod understanding still giving you the gifts pushing away any kind of help you tried to offer it was foolish to think the gods would bless someone like her
Tumblr media
Furina
•You were accused for something you didnt do, getting the death sentence she could hear your scared screams screaming, BEGGING that you didnt do it
•The last thing she remember herself running to your lifeless body on stage crying, screaming, begging for you to wake up, comfort her screaming at Neuvillettefor not hearing her out, her people for laughing and cheering at your death the guards and Wriothesley for falsely accusing you, her beloved.. onoy then you would get proven innocent

law x female character | pre-time skip and debut hurt/comfort - angst-ish | anxiety, loss trauma, pre-relationship, panic attack
Tumblr media
Trafalgar Law didn’t do love.
It was just who he was, he had already locked the part of himself that craved for those feeble, fragile feelings of affection a long time ago, it had died with his family, was buried together with Cora-san - the last spark of hope, an arm to hold, a father figure, a loved one. Now there was only a shell of a once carefree child, a cold man who kept everyone at an arm-length, one who despised the idea of attachment, of giving himself to something that could very easily be taken away.
No, he liked having control over himself, over his crew, his environment, but mostly, over his heart. Fancied himself a genius of a kind, always one step ahead of everyone else, not making a decision that would affect the decades worth of planning he did for his future self. A life made only for vengeance, for his family, for Cora, for the people he once knew and the child he once was.
So it really came as a surprise to him, that first irregular beat of his heart.
Tumblr media
She was someone he never imagined to find in his life, a light of hope when he thought all was lost¹, an intellectual partner to his discuss his interests - and a diversity of others she kept picking along the way to share, an unexpected colleague of profession and abilities, someone not afraid to speak freely about what was on her brilliant mind, but never one to make others feel inferior compared to her. Her kindness seemed unlimited, as she confided one day about her dreams. “I want to be able to help the unfortunate, never have someone lose a loved one out of helplessness again.” As if she could read his concealed past, making him wish to have met someone like her, all those ten years ago, when he needed the most.
“You can’t help everyone, that’s absurd.” Was what he answered instead. Like her warmth hasn't touched him enough to hope, to wish to be able help her achieve exactly that - be the beacon for those lost in the middle of a storm.
He should’ve stopped there, when the warmth reached him the first time. Should’ve stopped reaching for it. But like a man lost to an addiction, he would see himself looking for her around the Tang, just to talk - he would justify, she was the only one who understood all those medic jargons, she never laughed when she accidentally found his comics collection, she was interested in learning about it. He would even hear her opinion with his plans, her ability to look from a different perspective useful for him - no, not him, for their crew. In a year, she became a trusted crewmate and an indispensable partner.
And that was increasingly frustrating.
Tumblr media
Trusted enough to share his space, his usual alone time after a long time of work and research, he would invite her to stay around - as she was never too pushy of a friend, but always accepting of his company. They would sit alongside - a plate of rice balls, made exactly to his liking, two cups of warm tea brewed by the woman, and countless paper sheets scattered on his table. He was happy to share his studies with her, hear what she had heard and seen about the topic, an usual pleasant smile masking his features, but doing nothing to hide the fondness in his eyes. If he could’ve seen himself, he would’ve stopped right there.
In the moment, she was explaining how her powers worked, the ability of looking under a man’s skin and muscles with only her mind, how with the years of training in animals in her backyard, she’d come with the idea of reaching further and analyzing a being on a cellular level, forcing the seamless magical healing of most illness with her childhood wonder and endless hours of study of the human body.
In awe as he was, he didn’t catch on how close she was, used from all her hand gestures when she was enthusiastic with a subject, it took him a moment to register how her soft and warm hand had landed on the skin of forearm, right above his tattoo. She was in the middle of explaining how he could use his powers in a similar way if he wanted to, when he realized the touch, the way his heart picked with interest and his entire body burned with longing for more.
It was like being touched by the sun. One that should be always unreachable - to someone made of darkness like him, those burning hands were able to leave irreparable marks behind. As he would never be able to pretend it wasn’t happening with him, to ignore those pesky feelings ever again.
And as soon as he felt it, he abruptly took his distance from it. Pulling his arm from her reach, expression changing from passive to guarded, looking away from her surprised and hurt eyes, before cleaning his throat and deciding it was best for them to turn in for the night. Away from each other.
The damage was done.
Tumblr media
It has been a month since he started avoiding her, everyone in the ship can tell. Till that fatidical day, they were like two celestial bodies who constantly orbited each other’s space, now it was as if the mere presence of the doctor around a room were enough to repel the man back to his private quarter - in which he was taking refuge from inquiring eyes. Only the oldest crew was ever allowed to enter for reports and emergency matters, and even then they would always leave with a heavy frown and no answers to their captain’s strange behavior.
It was taking a toll on the crew as well, whenever someone walked by him with a smile and a polite face, only to be met with his flaring temper and moodiness, in which no one could ever understand why. Many tried to question the woman, to no avail, as she had no idea of what was happening either, he had just closed himself off from the world, and as an understanding person, she was trying to give him space to work it out with himself.
But damn, she missed him. And if she only knew how much he was yearning for her, fighting against his deepest fears, trying to escape the confinement of his walls, causing all these explosive and melancholic sentiments to surface. It was maddening. He wanted to be rational about it - perhaps tell her to leave, but not wanting to ever live without her, ever again.
After two months, he felt like ripping the hair from his scalp. It was like her presence was just becoming stronger in the walls of the Polar Tang, he could hear her melodic laugh from anywhere, could smell her perfume everywhere, taste her hand in the food Bepo would bring to his room - she knew how to make it exactly how he liked.
He couldn’t just give in. Too prideful, too committed to his work and chosen fate, too scared. So scared. What if he gave in? A pirate taking a lover was unheard of, and those who did would just live in a constant state of paranoia, not knowing when their enemies would find out about the weakness of their heart. Because that's what it was. A Weakness. Or at least that's what he kept telling himself. He would lose her, and that would be enough to break the last amended piece keeping his sanity intact.
Just need to wait it out…. It shall pass, he tried to rationalize.
Tumblr media
After three months, it was her turn to be done with his behavior. She came to his room one day, with the excuse of bringing his favorite snacks, ignoring the warning glare thrown to her form. At this point, that was just typical behavior from the young surgeon.
He was going to talk about this, or he was going to tell her to leave, because no matter how much she cried from the yearning of his presence and the confusion of not knowing what was really happening between them, she was also a prideful woman, and she was just as much done with suffering for a person she barely knew, even if she opened her own walls to receive him, she could just as much close it if prompted.
“So, are we going to talk about this - or you’ll keep pretending I don’t know you are avoiding me like I have the plague?”
Oh, how infuriating she was. Snarky, sarcastic, annoying, fucking gorgeous. For a long second, he could only sharp his gaze, his expression taking a note of fury, wanting to tell her to back off. Like a cornered wild animal would. But he was no mindless animal, and her stance above his sitting form did not change one bit, like she knew the power she held over him. He could never truly hurt this woman.
Taking a breath, reclining his posture back in his chair, he schooled his expression back into a blank unamused glare, before answering. “It’s not something I wish to discuss. If it bothers you, that’s your problem, not mine.”
He could see how it immediately affected her, and it affected him as well. Her eyes widened, like she didn’t expect to be blatantly rejected, not after all the time they had been together as colleagues and partners - as friends. Her posture went rigid, like struggling with herself to have strength to fight back, to fight back the tears threatening to escape, and he could feel his heart constricting with the instinct of reaching out and taking her in his arms, protective of her - even if he was the one instigating those emotions in her heart. Her beautiful heart, who did not deserve to be treated that way, who should have left the moment it met with a heartless being like himself. If only he was selfless enough to tell her to run and never look back.
“Fine,” she managed to say, between a difficult breath, “If that’s what you wish, I will pretend we were never friends, then.” And with that resolution, she turned her wheels and left, closing the door with enough strength to be heard by anyone who was hoping for a good outcome from their meeting. And it was like all heart pirates, a few room away, collectively sighed defeated from it.
That night, she wasn’t the only one who cried in her pillow.
Tumblr media
It wasn't long after that night, when the heart pirates came to a new inhabited island, looking to resupply for a longer ride. It was a breath of fresh air, to not be stuck inside a submarine with the stubborn couple of bulls, hitting their head against each other, glaring from their corner, making everyone’s life miserable.
And it came to no surprise that Eliza was the first one to be out, the moment the Tang submerged and ported, ready to use her energy to work and actively ignore Law’s existence for the few days or weeks that they kept anchored in the island. Hell, it might be a month before anyone is ready to leave and go back to the uncomfortable feeling. It came to a collective agreement that they better take their time away from the ship while they could, as long as the Captain didn’t catch on it.
And he did catch on it, around day five. Every supplement needed was reestablished, but no one seemed to be in a rush to go back to the next adventure, and the Island wasn’t even that impressive to keep them around, just a small village with enough entertainment for a day or two.
“Penguin. What do you all think you are doing?” He would ask that day, after spotting the man lazily sunbathing in the ship’s deck, earning a long-suffered groan from his crewmate. From all the years that he was loyal to his captain and so-called friend, it was one of the first times where he truly wished the man could take a hint and work on his own problems.
“What do you mean, Captain? We are taking one day to relax, you should too!” He said, but what he really wanted to express with that was: and please make amends with your lady friend, you are being a problematic asshole, she is so nice to you and everyone else, why are you acting like that? Are you having relationship problems or something? I know you have no experience, but anyone would be able to work it out after three whole months. But again, he did know his long-time leader from the inside out, pointing out anything obvious to him would just aggravate the situation, and chances were, he already knew he was being difficult.
Trafalgar Law from his part, only rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue, accepting it. Because he was not stupid, truly, he could tell how much it was heaving on his crew, his little squabble with the second tribulation’s doctor. And perhaps he did needed a break, not only from his work, but from all the drama he created for himself.
So, hugging Kikoku close to his body, he left to find a distraction.
Tumblr media
As it has been happening the entirety of this particular year, it seemed fate was against his plans of finding a peace of mind.
Walking into a secluded inn bar, believing to be a refuge from the busy streets, the last thing the pirate expected to find was the object of his affections and anguish, sitting with her back turned to the door, fully engrossed in a discussion with another man. Not that he immediately paid attention to said man, but the way the other had his knee so close to his crewmate’s barely covered (deliciously voluptuous) thigh, while they both animatedly chatted, was enough to catch his scrutiny.
It was a bad idea to stay, he knew that, but he couldn’t help his primal instinct of protection to grab a hold of his brain, as he cared for this woman enough to keep an eye on possible harassment towards his crewmate. Right? At least that was what he kept telling himself, silently making his way towards a shadowy booth, sharp gaze focused on the scene before him.
There was an irritation growing inside him, a hand squeezing the pit of his stomach, making his hands clench under the table, for the mere thought of how adorable she looked gesticulating about a subject he couldn’t hear. It was him, a few months ago, who she would look after to share information and discoveries, it was him she would look with those big doe eyes, shining with excitement while she rambled away about something so new and interesting, she couldn’t help but have to share with someone willing to listen.
And now he had shut her off, made her look for another person to give half the attention he had always been willing to offer, always enchanted by her intellect, but if he was a little more honest with himself, it was the way she’d seek him first. Holding him important enough to share her thoughts and confide her life with. Someone else having the same treatment was truly infuriating.
But not only that, he could tell by the way the other man melted his entire posture towards her, he was very much interested in her beyond an intellectual stimulation. Only a few minutes of observation, and the Captain of the Heart Pirates was gritting his teeth, emotional brain rapidly winning over his logical responses to she’s not yours, never was, never will. Get yourself together. She didn’t seem bothered at all, either choosing to ignore or interested in what that man had to offer as well.
His rational side was telling him to leave at this point, and he couldn't agree more to it. Sliding himself away from his seat, ready to ignore this whole encounter, before something caught his auditive senses, making his entire body go rigid. She laughed. That melodious and gorgeous sound, that he only ever heard during their shared times, alone in his office, talking about foolish memories and happier times.
In one shaky breath, heart hurting enough to suffocate, he turned back around, stalking his way towards the couple, stopping a foot from their forms, eyes blazing with quiet fury, but a placid expression of masked anger. She had only spinned around in her chair, before his gravy tone could be heard. “We need to talk. Come.” And he was leaving the establishment, not waiting for an answer, knowing she would follow anyway, as he was not only willing to speak about their problems, but he was her commanding figure in the hierarchy of their crew.
The quiet walk back to the was tense, even if he did slow his pace for her to keep the pace, aware of his long legs and more fit build to walk quickly compared to hers. He could feel her enragement and furious glare hitting the back of his head, but his mind was only filled with how he would go about this.
Should he ask her to leave? She never truly wanted to join a pirate crew, their deal being about giving a space for her to work her medical research, be free to explore the islands they ported, to use her abilities to heal the people in need, in exchange, she’d use all her abilities to protect and treat the crew.
But he didn’t think he could be that cruel nor that self centered with her, knowing she had no one prior to the heart pirates, who quickly became a found family of sorts to the female doctor.
Walking through the deck, ignoring the questioning gazes, he went straight to his office, already planning to lie through his teeth to save himself from the situation he found himself into, pretend he was just saving her from an unfortunate encounter with someone she didn’t really wish to be around, he was too flirty, not interested in her as a intellectual partner, just a pass time.
Perhaps come with terms of coming back to their somewhat friendship, with a level of boundaries around being too close and too personal, those feelings of desire would come to an end eventually, more hormones of his young blood, than actual wish for a relationship with someone who could make him happy. He didn’t wish for that kind of happiness, after all.
But before he could open his mouth, sitting in his chair, to gaze up to meet hers, she was already speaking, arms crossed over each other, face contorted in one of resolve and grief. “Law, perhaps I should leave this crew.”
And with just that, something he did thought about asking of her all this time, she broke his pathetic illusion of being fine with her leaving this ship, this crew, her leaving him.
He could hear her speaking, lips moving around an explanation of why it was reasonable for her to find a different way of traveling, as this tension was hurting the ship’s crew morale. He had the feeling that she was nervously rambling, looking for him to give an answer to her plans, but all he could do was stare back, mind fogging and words turning too confusing for his understanding, slight sensation of disconnecting his mind from the harsh reality of She will leave me. She will actually leave me.
Why did it hurt so much? How could she hold such a tight grip around his heart? When did he allow this to happen? Was him that weak?
“LAW! Are you even listening to me? Please!” Came a distinct voice, in the middle of the chaos of his mind. He might be panicking, the medic on him was saying, his cardiac frequency was too loud, he could feel his entire body tingling, legs too weak to answer, he was going mad.
But what made it more maddening, was the idea of never seeing her again, never hearing her eyes shining with excitement, never hearing her amused smile to one of his witty remarks, to never again gaze at this person who turned his days brighter by existing and knowing she was safe as long as he lived. It was like she could take all his breath away with one realization, and it was certainly not pleasant.
Licking his increasingly drying lips, he tried to focus back in reality, understanding of the situation coming back to him, she was asking for his opinion, she wasn’t leaving yet. “You can’t.” Was what he could come off as an answer, with the turmoil happening inside his being.
“What do you mean I can’t?”
“You… I- Just. Don’t.” He could hear his breath quicking, and she seemed too, medical trained eyes sharpening on his form, advancing in his direction like one would a hounded animal - and he despised her for it. How easily she could read him, how open and vulnerable she made him.
But he also came to realize, those feelings would never leave him, ever again. Her love crawled her way through his defenses, climbed his colossal walls made of years of traumatic experiences, and reached his closed icy cold heart. He wanted to hate her for it, make her stop, tell her off, let him be comfortable with his loneliness once again, but when she looked back at him with those warmhearted eyes of hers, reached both hands to gently graze his tattooed ones, soothingly asking if he was feeling well… He could only give all of himself to her.
Both arms shooting up to bring her body closer, head dropping to her shoulder, trying to hide the shameful sob tearing itself from his throat, body entirely shaking in a full panic attack triggered by all the experiences he had lived so far. For a moment he was back into the child he once was, an orphan, lost, utterly lonely, rejected by all.
His pride in shambles, broken mind taking over his more rational being, the only solace in the hands caressing his hair, the weight sitting on his lap - as he made her lose her foot with the surprise. But she didn’t mind, she loved this foolish broken man, even if he never bothered to ask.
She would hold and love him for the rest of their life, if only he allowed it.
“Breath, Law. Can you hear my voice, dearest? Breath with me.”
A few minutes of caressing his hair locks, firmly holding him toward her soft body, soothing whispering to his reachable ear, and the breath started to settle into a more even rhythm, the sobs that wrecked his body, turning into soft exhales, but the arms around her only tightened, like she would run away the moment he came back to his senses.
It was devastating to see such a strong and resilient man breaking apart, never once expressing his feelings so openly before, all those years of suffering on his own breaking like a torrent of guarded anguish, pouring down from every pore, making his body weak and tired. But if anyone should’ve seen it, he was glad it was her.
There was no judgment, no pitiful gaze, no questions to be answered, only a warm body and hands resting against damp cheeks, forcing his tired eyes to gaze back at an adoring expression, already grasping the situation at hand. “Law, don’t suffer on your own anymore. You don’t need to keep your thoughts to yourself, you are only hurting yourself.” She kept on, smiling with fondness. “I understand it’s hard to trust, to allow yourself to give in to strange feelings, but I will only leave you if you wish for me to. Ok? I promise, I want to stay and hear all that goes inside your head, I want to protect you as much as you've been protecting me. Would you let me do that?”
A hesitant nod. A progress, or an emotional response of someone who was just so tired of fighting back, so afraid of losing what he had been building, so hopeful of what it could mean to give in and embrace the sun. Either way, acceptance in the way his head fell back to her body, resting against her ample bosom, focused on the way the rhythm of her heart lulled him back to a better reality. He knew from that moment, he would try to improve himself, if it meant she would keep kissing the top of his head like this, caressing his back and humming a foreign lullaby to calm his raging heart. He could love her fully, if it always felt like this safe haven. And perhaps there was hope, if she was the one who held his heart.

hii I don’t know if I’m supposed to give ya a prompt like said. But I’ve been feeling angstyyyy sooo if you can no bother my love, could ya do : all of the outsider boys reacting to you (s/o) death?
A/N: Hi anon! the post for the prompts thing is here but i’m taking requests too so dw! I’m feelin the angst rn so this was perfectly timed!
The boys if their S/O d!ed
———————————————————
⚠️ TW for death, implied suicidal thoughts ⚠️
Darry
He would go on living for the most part, not because he doesn’t care about the fact that you’re gone, but he just can’t afford to shut down. if he does, he risks losing Soda and Pony too.
He’d bring flowers to your grave once a week, on Wednesdays (don’t ask why i just decided this). Your favourite flowers. When the first bunch he put down dies, he gets someone he knows, (maybe Ponyboy, i feel like he’d dig arts and crafts) to either press the flowers or dry them so he always has them, even if they bring back painful memories.
To add to the whole getting flowers thing, he’d always take one out of each bunch, just like he did before your death to make sure that he replaces them as soon as they wilt.
He most likely got the call about your passing and had to tell the guys. He tried to stay calm while telling them but he broke down before he could finish.
Ponyboy
This hurts just to think about! He, unlike Darry would shut down completely. He’d be failing class, wouldn’t get out of bed and would hardly eat. If we count it as after Johnny and Dally die, that would be 3 people he cared about that died (other than his parents)
If you two watched the sunset together often i feel like he’d never watch it again. it would be too painful for him.
Whenever he gets into an argument with Darry he runs out of the house and straight to your grave. He’d sit there and vent to you and eventually fall asleep there. the guys probably put a bench by your grave so he’d sleep there.
I think that after he was functional again, he’d get very cold and bitter, kinda like Dally. He’d get into fights all the time and would start acting out. He just doesn’t know how to cope with you gone..
Sodapop
Sodapop would go to your grave everyday after work and just talk to you about his day. he would fill you in on everything going on with the guys, any rumbles or fights with socs, stuff like that.
I honestly think that if Soda was serious about your relationship he would have given you a promise ring. I think that even after you were gone he would keep wearing it and maybe even put yours on a chain and wear that under his t-shirt, right next to his heart.
If it was a violent death? He would completely stop fighting, he would only see it as a constant reminder of what happened to you, he would realise that it really didn’t do any good.
He wouldn’t fully shut down but i think he would stop hanging out with the guys so much and would get very quiet. He wouldn’t be his laughing, wild self anymore. He knows that isn’t what you would’ve wanted but how could he keep on joking when you were gone? how could he ignore it?
Dally
Dally would go on hating and fighting more than he ever did. The world took so much from him and now it took you too? Why should he care about anyone or anything if you weren’t there anymore.
He’d spend a lot of time at your grave. No talking, he’d just sit there and smoke a cigarette. Sometimes he’d silently cry, but he hates crying out in the open.
Dally would blame himself. It doesn’t matter how you passed away, he would look at every detail of the days leading up to your death and see if there was any moment where he could’ve done something to stop it. if it was a violent death, could he have stopped you from getting into that situation in the first place? if it was an accident, could he have stopped it from happening, could he have made it so that it was him instead?
Steve
Steve would be kind of like Dally. He’d hate and fight more than ever. How could the world be so cruel that he’d take you from him?
I feel like it could be his first proper experience with loss, which is different to the others that i’ve written about so far. He really wouldn’t know how to cope. he’d try to go on living, then he would shut down for a while, then he would probably just have to get out of town for a while.
I honestly think he’d do something drastic. Rob a gas station or snap and start a fight with his dad or something. He would get very reckless too. where he would be careful when competing in drag races, now he would speed up if anything.
He is so afraid of forgetting your face. He keeps a picture of you in his jacket pocket to make sure he doesn’t forget but he realises he’s starting to forget the smaller things like how you’d make this particular face when you’re being sarcastic, and how your face would light up when someone mentioned your favourite things.
Two-Bit
Two would start drinking even more, you were lucky to see him sober. He’d stop hanging out with the guys.
He would be angry for a while. Angry that you left him here alone. Of course he knows deep down that it’s not your fault but he can’t help it. Two probably went to your grave one day, drunker than ever. He started giving out that you left him and ended up throwing his bottle of beer at your headstone. That snapped him out of it. He picked everything up and cleaned the headstone best he could.
After the angry phase is gone he would start to write you letters filling you in on everything. He couldn’t bring himself to go to your gave so he just pretended you had moved far away. He puts them in a big box under his bed. He considered burning them, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it
He sometimes forgets you’re not there though. Say if he’s doing something he might yell “Y/N could you pass me the ___” then remember you’re not there and just sits down and cries, even a few years after.
Johnny
Johnny really can’t deal with it. With his parents being so bad and you being his main support, he couldn’t take it anymore.
I honestly think that he would run away, let everyone forget him. Sometimes he would consider the ways to see you again, but luckily someone always snaps him out of it.
He hangs out with the guys more than ever, it keeps him from shutting down completely. they become his main support, but he’s even more quiet, he sits a little outside of the group when in the curtis’ house.
After a few months of grieving he remembers a list you guys wrote about all your hopes and dreams. So he decides that he’s going to complete everything on it. He lives for the two of you.

You know, honestly the LoV should have won the Paranormal Liberation War and annihilated most of the Class 1A and the hero society as a whole. I didn't like Class 1A because nobody died and plot armor saved them too many times so I want the LoV to win in the PLF War Arc.
While I can't say I’m a big proponent to any of the kids dying, especially when they…used to be…the best chance the story had at changing things in the next generation. (Definitely should’ve killed more pro heroes though, especially Endeavor.) But that other stuff?
Yeah, yeah I think the first war should’ve ended in a far more decisive villain victory. Especially one where they get to be in charge a bit.
Tumblr media
Like, people came away from the first war thinking the heroes lost, and certainly it was their worst showing of an operation in living memory. But did they lose? Certainly not. The villains lost over 99% of their forces including many of their power players that could’ve taken on pro heroes solo and won. Sure they picked up more later for the 2nd war, but most of these replacements were USJ-tier nobodies at best. Meanwhile the heroes only lost half their numbers...and most were just due to cold feat in the aftermath. Actual casualties were, as I recall, a few dozen or so? Maybe in the low hundreds?
And I think that’s quite a missed opportunity. I’d have loved to see what things could’ve been like with Shigaraki on his rubble throne; let the PLF put their money where their mouths were and make the easier-to-live-in world Toga kept talking about. I think it could’ve been a great way to show the flaws that were supposed to be in their approach, maybe see why things can’t get better through their kind of violent upheaval or what ways they aren’t equipped to govern; but maybe also highlight some more flaws in the existing system by having the PLF focus hard on fixing them or maybe fixing a few easily. Just one "man, why didn't we do that?" situation could've been really cool & interesting.
Instead we got a period where nobody was in charge…well, actually more accurately the heroes and their government were still in charge in theory, but they were doing it badly because they failed once so a bunch of people lost so much faith that they stopped listening and chose to live in localized effective anarchy instead. But then the heroes prove themselves again and it all went back to normal.
(Man, putting it like that makes the hero system seem like the stock market if it was law enforcement.)
Anyway, because we didn’t really get to see what the villains’ world would be like, I still kind of think a resolution where Shigaraki triumphed over everyone and came out on top as ruler would’ve been the 2nd best ending for everything we could’ve gotten. (1st was of course one where heroes and villains work together for a best of both worlds resolution. 3rd by a wide margin is the one we got where everything goes back to as it was and trucks along to doomsday. And 4th was the one where AFO pulls a win out his ass.) Because, considering how aware the PLF are of the existing system’s flaws and their want to correct them; I can’t think of much solid criticism for their hypothetical governance that are not themselves purely hypothetical worst-case assumptions. I mean, besides ‘it’s wrong to get there through such violence’…and this is a shonen action manga where All Might ushered in an age of peace after beating up enough of AFO’s goons. A message like that’d always read a little hollow.
I can’t help but think that’s not the impression I was supposed to get towards the idea of the League being in charge and trying to make their easier world, but it’s the one I got anyway because there's not much to disprove it. Whoops.
Besides, the Paranormal Liberation War arc really was the villains' arc; if anyone had earned a true win by the end, it was them.

Lo'ak x Fem!Reader (Platonic)
Tumblr media
➴ Summary: Eywa finally hears Lo’ak’s pleas for her to bring his brother back but instead of a brother, Lo’ak receives howling winds with lashing rain and a warrior… who eats people?
➴ Warning:  brief mention of character description  e.g. height, age and features but it doesn’t impact the story, I will be bringing up height again I think but it’s not an important plot point
➴ Word count: 5.7k
➴ Note: Hiii, sorry this has taken so long to come out. I had been writing and rewriting this for I don’t know how long alongside work, moving house and being ill. Sorry for the wait. I’m not too sure if I even like this but this is the longest I’ve written so far.
This is how I imagine Ao’nung to look >>> I love it
I mentioned in the previous part that Lo’ak commented that y/n is taller up close. I imagine Lo’ak being about 8’2 and y/n being 8’5 (I made heights for everyone, minus the adults).
I got a message about how I personally imagine y/n, I didn’t start writing this with a final look for her in mind, so I created a pinterest to get ideas >>> if you wanna take a look
Feel free to comment or message me if you have any suggestions.

[three] [five]
Eight days. It has been eight days since y/n landed on Awa’atlu. Eight days with no updates from her father. She had been watching the skies for anything but just like the rest of Awa’atlu, the sky was calm. But to y/n it was unsettling.
She was becoming restless with the routine she had slipped into. Wake up, eat breakfast with Lo’ak, worry about her people, avoid Ronal and mend the breastplate. The latter seems to be the hardest because the Metkayina doesn’t have access to the same materials as those on the island. In all honesty, y/n did not need a saddle to return to her home, it was mainly for comfort. But when she thought of leaving, the burn in her chest told her to stay.
She had been thinking nonstop about what could’ve happened or what could be happening. Had her father found the two avatars and dealt with them? Had there been more casualties? If something extreme had happened, surely someone would fly out to find her? It wouldn’t be hard to track her down, considering Rìkxi had taken it upon himself to claim a corner of the island as his own.
“Let’s do something today,” y/n suggested as Lo’ak walked into her marui with a bowl of fruit in his arms.
Lo’ak paused, sitting down, crossing his legs and putting the bowl next to him.
“Are you asking me on a date?” He smirked
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
“Ridiculous? Am I not your type?”
“I hate to say it, but you’re not. You’re a bit too young and you’re not tall enough.”
“My poor heart,” Lo’ak said dramatically, placing a hand on his chest. “I thought we had something special.”
Y/n rolled her eyes at his antics while she sat down opposite him, taking a large melon out of the basket and began cutting it into chunks.
“What should we do?” he chuckled, his hand waving over the basket before picking up a Yovo.
“What do you usually do?” Y/n questioned.
“Hmm well, I was thinking about going for a swim. You can come with. Do you know how?”
“I swim,” y/n replied.
“But are you any good?”
“I won’t drown.”
“Good enough for me,” Lo’ak took a bite of the Yovo fruit and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “Well, I’m sure Kiri will swim with us. I can see if Ao’nung and Rotxo would be interested. Tsireya, maybe not, she has plans with some of her… Friends.”
“Friends?” Y/n picked up on how Lo’ak said the word with such disdain. “You don’t like these friends?”
“For the most part, they’re okay but there is one. His name’s K’aung, and he fishes with Ao’nung sometimes. He’s the worst. He used to bully Kiri a lot and now he follows Tsireya around, you’d think she has a second shadow. And I’m sure he watches my every move.”
“Maybe he’s in love with you? You and Tsireya aren’t together, he may think he has a chance.”
Lo’ak’s face screwed up in absolute disgust at the idea.
“How could you say something so disgusting? He makes me feel ill.”
Tumblr media
Just as Lo’ak planned during breakfast, the pair went swimming with Kiri, Ao’nung and Rotxo at midday. Kiri informed the group that Tuk wouldn't be joining them. They ran into Tsireya on their way to the ilu but as predicted, she was standing with other Metkayina teens, one boy staring Lo’ak down, y/n doing the same to him.
The ride away from the village went somewhat well. Ao’nung had been taking subtle jabs at y/n which did not go unnoticed by the girl, which led to her riding with him instead of Lo’ak which was the original plan.
“Y/n. Do you know how to swim?”
“I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.”
That seemed to be enough for Ao’nung because, in a split second, he spun around and pushed y/n off of his ilu with a smug smile on his face, which didn’t last long as y/n hand grabbed his bicep, dragging him down with her.
As the two resurfaced, y/n hit Ao’nung’s forehead muttering ‘skxawng’ under her breath before swimming to the closest rock formation with Lo’ak, Kiri and Rotxo following close behind her. Ao’nung rolled his eyes before joining the others. The group settled on the rock in a circle, y/n sat between Rotxo and Lo’ak, opposite Ao’nung.
“So, y/n, tell us about yourself. You have four fingers like these two.” Rotxo motioned to the Sully siblings, “Are your parents or were your parents, sky people too?”
“Sky people? No, a lot of my people have four fingers.”
“How?” Kiri questioned, eyes full of wonder.
“I’m not sure. My grandmother told me that this trait started to appear when she was a child, some think it was before that.” Y/n looked down at her hands and shrugged, “some think it is a punishment from Eywa, while some think it's a gift.”
“What do you think?” Lo’ak questioned, his voice sounding tense
“I haven't really thought about it, my uncle and younger brother are the same so it’s what I am used to.”
“Do you know why?” Ao’nung questioned, seemingly interested in the topic.
“Apparently, Sky people came to our shores in need of help. The old Olo'eyktans allowed them to stay on the smaller islands, in agreement that they wouldn’t interfere with the clans and in return, they were given food supplies and different resources to survive. But then, they started sneaking onto the large islands and into villages, stealing from us. When they were given a warning, they went against it and started using violence. It led to great battles, many islands were scorched, and the Olo'eyktans vowed there would be no survivors. But, there were sky people who didn’t participate in the battles. They lived amongst my people, helping build huts and weapons until they died. Their bodies burned and their ashes were buried beneath the spirit tree. A generation later, children were being born with four fingers and four toes.”
The group around y/n sat in silence taking in what they had heard. Out of all of them, Kiri seemed to be the most invested in the story. The idea of sky people existing on Pandora before her parents was fascinating.
“And… And do you believe that?” Kiri questioned in disbelief and amazement.
“I’m sure there's some truth to it,” y/n started looking at the group around her, shrugging. “You never know.”
There was a moment of silence before Ao’nung cleared his throat, his eyes shifting between y/n and Lo’ak.
“You two seem close, even though you’ve only known each other for what? A week? You eat together every morning, Lo’ak comes back with nothing but good things to say. Are you two,” he waved his hands between the two in front of him “a couple?” His tone was accusatory.
“It’s not hard to make friends, you know. You should try it.” Lo’ak shot back rolling his eyes, “and y/n isn’t my type. A bit too tall and a bit old for me.”
Y/n nudged Lo’ak slightly, smiling at the memory of the conversation they had that morning.
“How old are you?” Rotxo questioned innocently.
“Eighteen.”
“Perfect for you, Ao’nung.”
“Shut it.” Ao’nung snapped back, a grimace on his face.
“You don’t have a chance bro,” Lo’ak added
“I said, shut up.”
Kiri rolled her eyes at the boys’ antics while offering y/n a smile which was returned.
Tumblr media
The group finally settled down on the rocks, some lying down enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, until Lo’ak scrambled to his feet, hitting Kiri in the process.
“Hey! Watch it!” She screamed, swatting a hand at him but Lo’ak took no notice of it as he walked to the edge of the rock before diving over the edge. Y/n sat up as soon as the boy disappeared from her sight. No one seemed to be concerned. She walked to the edge of the rocks and looking down, she saw Lo’ak frantically moving his hands while perched on the edge of a tulkun fin. A tulkun, the only tulkun, she was familiar with.
Payakan.
Payakan’s large eye looked away from Lo’ak and up at y/n, making a sound that sounded similar to a greeting.
“You know each other?”
“Kind of. Payakan spent a lot of time on our shores but then he just left. Nice to see he’s being taken care of over here.”
Y/n eased herself into the water, swimming over to the tulkun and pulled herself up to sit next to Lo’ak.
“The last time I heard anything about him, my brother was telling me that sky people were hunting him.”
At this omission, Payakan dropped his fin slightly, causing y/n and Lo’ak to be dunked into the water briefly.
“Sorry! Sorry!” Y/n coughed, “but that’s what I heard.”
Payakan made a clicking noise and looked away.
“You know about that?” Lo’ak questioned raising an eyebrow.
“Of course, a watcher from my village relaid the information and my brother told me.”
“A watcher? What do they do?”
“Watch? It’s in the name. They survey the skies, above the clouds and report back what they see.”
“What more did they say? What more do you know?”
Y/n paused to think, what more did she know? Her mind darted back to her dream behind the waterfall. It had been a recurring dream, but the ending was still the same.
“Nothing really. A huge fire. Some things washed up on our shores.”
“Right.” Lo’ak nodded. He didn’t look like he was convinced by y/n’s answer but accepted it anyway. He then turned back to Payakan, moving his hands before pointing at y/n.
“What are you saying?”
“Asking if he saw you did anything embarrassing as a child that I could use against you sometime.”
“Oh stop it.” Y/n laughed, putting her hand on the back of Lo’ak’s head, the action making the younger boy freeze at the familiar gesture
“Can I ask you something?” He questioned suddenly, his eyes almost pleading. The older girl nodded, giving him her full attention. This is something he had been curious about, he had heard the other villagers talk about it, trying to come up with their own conclusions. “What made you come here? I know there was a storm and everything but was coming here planned?”
“No,” the older girl responded without any hesitation, “I can’t say being a guest on these islands was a part of my plan.”
“So, why did you leave your people?”
“My father ordered it. I wasn't going to say no, it is my duty I guess.”
“Your father is Olo’eyktan? My dad was… Once. He gave that up to move here. Sometimes I wish he didn’t. I wish we didn’t leave the forest.” Lo’ak’s ears drooped at the thought of his home, his grandmother, his friends… Spider. Payakan made a noise that caused Lo’ak to perk up slightly, “but of course, coming here has been great. I just miss home.”
“You know you can always go back,” y/n started, “you don’t have to be here for the rest of your life.”
Lo’ak paused at her words, he had thought this too. He could not see himself staying in the village forever, he is a forest Na’vi after all, but he had begun to build a life here, the whole family has. He couldn’t leave. His family was here, his whole family. Sully’s stick together and no one can be left behind.
“Wait, we’re off topic. Why did your father order you to leave your people?”
“I was sent to look for someone. Well, two someone’s actually. They had been under close watch for two years, my father instructed that no one was to interact with them, without his permission and with good reason. Before I came, they managed to escape, people were hurt. From what I gathered from my dad. They’re dangerous. They do not have good intentions. So they’re to be found and brought back and then maybe they can be dealt with like how my father intended without the input of others trying to ‘keep the peace’.”
No, it can’t be. Lo’ak face filled with panic and his breath hitched.
“Do you… Do you know their names?” he questioned, hands curling into fists in his lap
Miles Quaritch. Lyle Wainfleet.
“I can’t say I remember.” She lied looking past Lo’ak, hoping he did not detect any hesitation, “Payakan, my old friend. If it’s not too much to ask, will you be able to pass a message on to my brother that I’m okay?” She asked with a smile, Lo’ak’s eyes on her.
“Your brother?”
“He has a specific spot, his thinking rock, Payakan knows it. He’ll pass on the message to my parents.”
The tulkun made a noise of agreement, before slowly lowering his fin, easing the Na’vi into the water before bidding the two goodbyes and swimming off.
“Why did he listen to you? He’s my spirit brother.”
“I’ve known him longer.”
Lo’ak rolled his eyes and splashed water in the older girl's direction.
Tumblr media
Tuk skipped through the forest ahead of her parents, her fingers brushing against loose vines hanging beside her. Today, she was going to tend to the ikran while Lo’ak and Kiri were away. This is something she enjoyed, the forest here wasn’t the same, it wasn’t as dense or filled with the same creatures but it was pretty, it reminded her of home.
Tuk’s skip turned into a jog as the greenery became more sparse and more light flooded in.
“Tuk. Slow down please.” Her mother called
“Yes, mum!” She replied, with no change in pace.
As she broke through the remaining trees, a grin appeared on her face at the familiar sight of her family’s ikran. The biggest reason why she enjoyed looking after them was that she wasn’t sure if she would ever be able to have one of her own, so looking after them was the closest she could get.
Hearing her parents appear behind her, she started to move forward, greeting all the ikran individually as she made a beeline to the back of the nesting area the ikran’s made for themselves, looking for the ikran without a rider. Getting closer, she noticed the nest was empty.
Tuk spun around, looking at all the ikran, thinking she overlooked her favourite. But she could never. So she counted again and again.
One. Two. Three. Four… Where’s five?
In a panic, she ran forward, running into her father who was tending to Bob.
“He’s gone!” She shrieked, grabbing her father’s hand, “Seze’s gone!”
Jake looked down at his youngest daughter in confusion, gone? What does she mean by ‘gone’? The ikran hasn’t ‘gone’ anywhere in two years without a lot of bribing. Jake looked past all the ikran to see that Seze was in fact ‘gone’. The urgency in Tuk’s voice caught Neytiri’s attention. She passed her mate and daughter to go to Seze's nest, bending down and placing her hand on it. Maybe there will be some heat that’ll indicate how long he had been gone. With some relief, there was. It was still quite warm which told her they had just missed the creature’s take-off.
Just as she stood up, ready to join her family and calm her daughter, a rumble resonated through the air. It was a similar sound the whole village had heard over a week ago, Tuk was the first to run towards the sound, shaking out of fathers grasp. Without hesitation, he chased after her. Neytiri looked over the other ikran one last time before following.
Making it to the beach, the family was met with a sight they could never imagine. Seze, Neteyam’s lonely ikran, named after Neytiri’s companion who she lost in the war with the sky people, face to face with Rìkxi. Barely any space between them. The latter watched the ikran with fury in its eyes. Seze did not look nervous in the slightest, seeming to be standing his ground against the beast that was more than double his size and much, much stronger than him.
Rìkxi made a sound that sounded like he was taking a massive inhale of breath, his head lifting slightly. His mouth began to open, a rumble omitting from his chest.
“Enough!” A strong, unwavering voice echoed through the gathering crowd
In a flash, the Ash Na’vi their son had become fast friends with, stood between the two creatures confidently, holding her hand up to Rìkxi’s face. Rìkxi gave what seemed to be a final look at the ikran before obeying his rider’s silent command.
Tumblr media
Y/n stood between her faithful companion and the unknown ikran, hands raised to show that there was no threat. The last thing she wanted was for Rìkxi to eat the poor creature. Rìkxi looked at the scene in front of him before lowering his head and shuffling back slightly. The ikran behind her nudged its head forward, knocking y/n’s back. The girl turned around to face the ikran, looking curiously as it nudged her again.
Not sure what to do, she looked off to the side where Lo’ak and Kiri had joined the group but kept a distance due to Rìkxi’s presence. Seeing that she wasn’t going to get any assistance, she tried shooing the creature away calmly but it didn’t budge. She looked at Rìkxi over her shoulder and jerked her head slightly up, telling him to return to his part of the island. With a huff, the large beast flapped his wings once, shooting off into the air, unsettling all the sand around them causing those closest to cover their eyes while y/n knew that this action was deliberate.
As Rìkxi left, an older Omatikaya man came forward, his hand holding a smaller child on his left and a woman on his right. Lo’ak and Kiri catching up behind them. The woman touched the ikran’s head, pulling its attention away from y/n, which the girl was very grateful for because was starting to feel uneasy.
The woman stroked the creature's face, before shooing it away. It made a small sound before taking off into the air. Neytiri turned, looking the girl up and down, her yellow eyes studying the girl before her for any signs of danger that could injure her family in any way. Lo’ak stood next to y/n, a smile on his face trying to ease any tension that he sensed.
“Y/n, this is my mother Neytiri and my father Jake Sully. Mum, Dad, this is my new best friend y/n.”
“Nice to meet you, y/n. Lo’ak speaks very highly of you.” Neytiri greeted the girl after a moment's pause.
Lo’ak face seemed to flush a deep blue as his father nodded, also greeting the girl.
“Yes, it’s nice to meet the girl that has been keeping my son out of trouble.” Jake joked, raising an eyebrow at his son, asking him a silent question. Lo’ak’s head shook frantically from side to side.
Y/n ignored the silent exchange and greeted both parents. Tuk looked up at the girl curiously before introducing herself.
“Hello! I’m Tuk! Your hair is really pretty.”
“It is lovely to meet you Tuk and yours is too!” Y/n smiled motioning to the white beads at the end of the young girl’s shoulder-length hair.
Looking over the youngest Sully’s head, y/n spotted Ronal in the distance. The Tsahik had spotted her and was making her way over, like a predator stalking her prey. Y/n flicked her wrist, her fingers brushing Lo’ak’s arm, the boy looked at her in confusion before following her line of sight.
“I should go and check on Rìkxi, make sure he hasn’t threatened anyone else.” She joked, itching to break away from the family as Ronal got closer.
“Right, yes. We don’t want that.” Lo’ak added stiffly.
The girl rolled her eyes, bidding farewell to the family as she walked off hastily towards where Rìkxi should’ve hopefully settled. Just as she disappeared from everyone’s sight, Ronal joined the family, a hand on her hip.
“She’s fast.” The Tsahik commented, “Lo’ak, I will be eating breakfast with her tomorrow morning.”
Before Lo’ak could think of a reply, she walked off to join her mate, Tsireya and their youngest daughter.
The Sully’s made their way back to the marui in mostly silence.
Jake and Neytiri walked in silence and they thought about what they had just witnessed. An ikran greeting another Na’vi it was not familiar with, willingly and refusing to leave?
The sight of the Ash Na’vi girl had taken Neytiri by surprise, there was an air of familiarity about her. Maybe it was the way that she walked, the way she spoke? She wasn’t sure, she couldn’t place it but whatever it was caused her heart to burn with longing. The girl reminded her of someone that was lost.
Jake had seen it almost immediately. Lo’ak had formed a close connection with the older girl, even if he hadn’t noticed it himself, Lo’ak looks up to her. Trusted her. There had been something missing in Lo’ak for a long time and y/n had come along and given him what he needed. Guidance, a support system. Seeing his son in this light had taken a weight off of his shoulders but then that brought on a new thought. Y/n wasn't going to stay here forever and what would that mean for Lo’ak?
Lo’ak head rushed with multiple thoughts at once, y/n’s brief explanation while with Payakan, although he knew that she was withholding some truth from him, he couldn’t find it within himself to feel suspicious of her. And also Neteyam’s ikran. Seze had kept to himself for two years, clearly mourning the loss of his rider but today showed something different. Was this linked to what Neteyam’s spirit meant?
Kiri on the other hand was silent because she was trying to figure this out, she felt as though Eywa was whispering in her ear. She has a feeling that y/n will be important to the family, it can’t just be a coincidence that y/n appeared on Awa’atlu just days after Lo’ak’s experience at the Spirit Tree and them suddenly becoming the best of friends, the pair also sharing similar physical attributes. Four fingers, four toes and although it is not as noticeable, Kiri could see the faint hairs on the older girl's brow bone. It seemed that y/n had stepped in to be an older sister to Lo’ak, taking him under her wing.
Tuk was the only member of the Sully family who was actively talking, some of the members chiming in every once in a while to let her know she was listening. She could sense that everyone was deep in thought but she was just glad that Seze was safe and that she met Lo’ak new friend.
Overall, the whole family had taken notice of Lo’ak’s attitude change. In the week of knowing y/n, parts of his carefree personality had begun to shine through again and it was refreshing to see.
Kiri stopped in her tracks, clearing her throat to get her family’s attention.
"I just remembered I have to do something, I'll be back soon."
Before anyone could respond, Kiri turned and started to walk in the direction they just came from, as soon as she got to the beach, her walk turned into a jog and that jog into a run.
Tumblr media
On her walk over to Rìkxi, y/n was deep in thought. Jake Sully. The man Quaritch had asked … demanded … her father to help him capture so that he could “answer for his crimes.” y/n felt so stupid, why didn’t she put it together sooner “he is hiding amongst the reef people''. Lo'ak had mentioned briefly that his dad was from the stars. Maybe she did know that Jake Sully was here but was choosing to ignore it since she hadn't seen the man in person until today. Out of sight, out of mind maybe?
Suddenly, a shooting pain hit y/n in her chest which caused her to stagger back, almost losing her balance. She quickly composed herself, trying to ignore it so that she could continue her journey but with every step, it became harder to ignore.
Y/n quickened her pace, hoping to reach her destination soon but that plan was thrown to the back of her mind as she stopped abruptly, now feeling lightheaded. She squeezed her eyes closed tightly, clutching her chest while taking a deep breath. Opening her eyes slightly, she could see a few stray villagers staring at her as they passed, keeping a distance but she didn’t expect anyone to help.
The pain was getting more intense, her vision blurring and the sound of her heart pulsating in her ears. She tried walking again but she could tell that she was staggering off to the side. Taking another deep breath, took a deep breath and clenched her jaw and began walking again. After a few more steps, her knees buckled, bringing her down into a squat, her chin tucked to her chest as tears began welling in her eyes. The burning was now unbearable. She felt like she was choking, drowning almost. She was struggling to breathe, it was like her lungs weren’t working. Every breath she tried to take was painful.
She wheezed, rocking forward, her knees hitting the warm sand, the hand not holding her chest reaching out so she didn't faceplant. It was too much. She couldn’t even think. Y/n eyes screwed shut again, her mouth opening to scream for help but no sound other than a whimper came out. Her fingers and toes started to feel cold.
The villagers around her decided to take full notice of the scene before them, but they hesitated with the idea of helping the foreign girl. At the same moment, Kiri came speeding into view. Her eyes widened at the sight of her new friend on the floor and worried villagers gathering, not sure how to react.
“Y/n!” Kiri dashed forward, skidding to a stop next to her friend, “What’s wrong?! What happened?!”
Y/n tried to reply to Kirk’s frantic questions but all she could do was shake her head, she couldn’t bring herself to speak. She could barely hear the girl beside her.Her head was pounding. She was seeing flashes of the ocean being lit up by the bioluminescent plants, beside her, an Omatikaya Na'vi breaking the surface of the water with a grin on his face. Lo'ak? No, not Lo'ak. What the hell is happening?
Kiri looked around at the spectators, feeling annoyed that not one of them stepped forward to help her friend. Giving them the fiercest glare she could muster, Kiri tried getting down to y/n’s height, and lowering herself so that she could see her face. Kiri took note of the hand painfully gripping her chest. Had she been in pain all day and no one noticed?
“Clear the way!” Ronal’s voice boomed as she and Tonowari marched toward the small group.
Kiri scrambled out of the way as Ronal dropped down beside her, pulling y/n’s hand away from her chest.
“Get her up, I will treat her.”
Tonowari nodded at his mate, scooping y/n into his arms, the girl in question trying to resist but ultimately giving up once pain shot from her chest down to her feet. Kiri followed trying to speak to the now quiet girl. Tonowari apologised with almost every step he took and Ronal ahead, trying to conclude how she was going to ease this pain. Y/n head slightly rolled to the side as she looked out to the ocean, Kiri noticing her eyes focusing in the direction of the Cove of the Ancestors.
Tumblr media
As the sun was beginning to set, an avatar hopped across the beanstalk, hoping to make it to the other side without falling to his death. The sights of Pandora were absolutely breathtaking, he was used to seeing them but now, in his new body, everything seemed more amazing. The sights, the sounds, the smells. All the spectacular.
“Kid, you need to come back, you’ll miss dinner.” The earpiece crackled
The avatar rolled his eyes, looking around him, placing his finger on the microphone around his throat.
“Yes Dad, on my way.” He replied in a mocking tone, “I’ll be like 10 minutes, tops.”
“You better, or I’ll have to send someone out for you. Again.”
The avatar continued on his jog before he started to scale the many intertwined vines. This would be so much easier with an ikran, he thought but it was still early days. Reaching the top, he leaped across more branches before running through the camp, doing his best to weave between the different humans and Na’vi moving around.
“Seriously again? Watch it!”
“Sorry, Vic!” He called back, almost running into someone else.
The avatar swung the door open to the laboratory and ducked his head to get through the door, and skidded to a stop.
“Right on time.” Norm stated, looking up from his desk at the young avatar, “Go unlink, I’ll plate you some food.”
The boy walked into an empty room and lay down on a large cot. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Norm’s avatar ‘asleep’, hooked up to a machine to keep it hydrated and nourished. The boy shuffled his body, getting comfortable and closing his eyes.
The lid of the link unit opened slowly, the young boy sat up and swung his legs over the edge, stretching his arms.
“Victoria said you ran into her… Again. It’s starting to seem like it’s on purpose.” An older man spoke, eyes not looking away from the screen in front of him.
“It’s not, I swear. I’m having trouble stopping and she always seemed to be there.”
“You need to be more careful Spider. I know you're learning but you need to be mindful about those around you.”
“I know Max, I know. I’ll do better next time, I promise.” Spider replied somewhat sincerely. He was trying to be careful but he also did run into Victoria on purpose.
Max nodded looking back at the screen to check if there were any outliers on Spider’s readings. Seeing that everything was normal enough, he ushered the boy off of the link bed and into the communal eating area where a few of the humans were sitting around talking. The boy spotted Norm at the far end, speaking to another scientist.
Sitting down next to him, he began to eat silently, running through the forest all day has built a big appetite that he still wasn’t used to.
“So, how was it today?” Norm questioned as the other scientist left the table.
“Amazing!” Spider swallowed quickly, turning to face the older man, “I managed to run without smashing my face into the floor.”
“Good. That’s good. You’re getting better. But it’s still early days, don’t push yourself.”
“I know, I know. I’m being as careful as possible.”
“So, when are you gonna tell Kiri and Lo’ak about your avatar?”
“I don’t know, I haven’t found the right time.”
“You spoke with Kiri yesterday, right? Why didn’t you tell her then?” Norm questioned, raising the fork to his mouth.
“It didn’t feel right,” Spider shrugged, “she was talking about a new friend Lo’ak had made, I didn’t want to interrupt.”
“Lo’ak made a friend? Good for him, he had been quite down when I last spoke to Jake.” Max added as he sat down in front of Norm, “Jake had been really worried for him, breaking up with Tsireya hit him hard.”
Spider’s head dropped, he didn’t know that Lo’ak wasn’t dating the Metkayina girl anymore. If he was being honest, he didn’t have any idea about how Lo’ak had been doing for about eight months now. The pair hadn’t spoken to one another and Kiri didn’t purposely bring him up in conversation. It made Spider feel guilty, he could tell there was a strain on their relationship but he was too afraid to face it, he was too guilty. Even speaking to Kiri hurt him, he couldn’t even bring himself to speak to Jake, for fear that he would spill his guts out to the man and the consequences.
It was killing him. He wouldn’t dare tell Norm or Max, they would tell the Sully’s in an instant and he is sure that Neytiri would have his head. Not that Spider could blame her. He wasn’t thinking about the consequences at the time but as the days passed on the island, the guilt was eating him alive and the fear was keeping him silent.
“What do you think, Spider?” Norm questioned, nudging the boy out of his thoughts.
“What?”
“I said, we should try and arrange for you to visit Awa’atlu. You haven’t seen them in person in ages and it’ll be better this time because you have an avatar.” Max explained, a gentle smile resting on his lips, “and honestly, I could use the quiet.” He joked
Spider forced out a chuckle, shovelling a forkful of food into his mouth, running through all the possible outcomes that could happen, being face-to-face with the family he betrayed.

As the sun set and eclipse made itself known, a small group of Txampaysye swam passed through the Cove of the Ancestors and along the base of The Spirit Tree. One broke away from its group and glided off to the left, joining a shimming group of Atokirina’ that was floating peacefully above a glowing mass amongst the swaying plants on the seafloor.
Slowly, the plants separated, allowing the Txampaysye to lower itself down, resting itself across the widest part of the unknown figure. A moment later, air bubbles began to float upwards. The Atokirina’ floated down and landed on a small part of the figure, and as soon as it did that, the unknown shape flinched before curling into a ball. Slowly, the plants on the seafloor made their way back to each other, hiding the mass from any creature that may swim passed.

Txampaysye - gill mantle, serves as a biological diving suit, feeding oxygen to a bonded Na'vi through their kuru connection/tsaheylu.
Atokirina' - woodsprite, a seed of the Tree of Souls that lives on Pandora (I imagine the Spirit Tree has its own version).

Hi, I'm the one that sent that longer ask recently - thank you so much for responding. So it’s not that the situation at the end in your setting is all that different, but it’s a matter of perspective. That makes so much sense.
After reading your thoughts I have a couple follow up questions if you’d entertain it (last ones I promise). First because you mentioned interrogating Mogi, why do you think Mello brought Near into it at all? I know he says "my turn to use you" but I get the sense it’s not so much sincere as a pretext and excuse as if to say "don't think this means I'm backing down". Because I think he’s competent enough that he could’ve interrogated Mogi by himself. No doubt he has the skills and confidence to do it on his own since he has the real lived experience needed to rise in the mafia where he'd have to flawlessly prove himself to a very tough crowd a hundred times over. If he kept Mogi to himself it would have in theory given him the big advantage instead of handing it over to his opponent. But the way he set it up put the power in Near's hands...there was always a chance that Near could’ve just said ‘lol thanks’ and hung up the phone leaving Mello high and dry. It seems odd somehow.
And finally, as I understand it your belief is in canon Mello’s priority never wavered from winning the competition but by the end he’d given up hope for that. But also he acted to save Near’s life and gain HIM the victory. I’m trying to wrap my head around this. If he thought there’s a good chance Near is putting his life in danger by having his name written down and possibly overlooking Kira's counter-move, why act at all? If he were right wouldn't it present an opportunity for Mello to claim victory? If Near dies in his confrontation with Kira due to his own mistake…well, that seems like he’s lost fair and square. Afterwards Mello could use Near’s death as the evidence to confront Kira on his own and finally come out the winner. On the other hand if Mello was wrong about there being sketchy business afoot and Near did cleanly confront Kira and win, the situation ends in just the same loss that Mello in theory already accepted so at that point he can go and off himself or whatever. I’m probably not explaining this well, but hopefully you get an idea of what I mean, that there seems to be a bit of disconnect there? ugh sorry it's that I'm trying to understand the end and struggling 😅
Hello again!! These are all very good questions - there's a lot to unpack here so I'm going to do something slightly different and break it up into smaller chunks:
~~~
Why Mello Involved Near in his Interrogation of Mogi
I know he says "my turn to use you" but I get the sense it’s not so much sincere as a pretext and excuse as if to say "don't think this means I'm backing down".
I have a lot to say about this point. I think it's perhaps important to make a distinction between what Mello's intentions actually are, and what he aims to achieve by saying this, because I think these two concepts are entirely divorced from each other. So we'll start with the first point.
The thing about Mello is that he uses people. He hates being used, but he wouldn't have gotten as far as he has without using, if that makes sense. He likes to be the one with all the power, the brains behind an operation where everyone else does the actual dirty work for him. At this stage in his investigation, however, he is working alone. He doesn't have the resources he gained from the mafia. He hasn't linked up with Matt yet. He doesn't have Sidoh on his side anymore. He is operating by himself, and as such, he is limited in what he can do. So, the only person he can use is Near. It wouldn't be the first time he's used Near - he acquired all Near's information via the spy to get ahead in the first place - so he's clearly not opposed to the idea by any means. It's worth noting that this is the closest they get to actually working together in the series, so I'm also convinced he has to believe he's using Near to avoid confronting his own cognitive dissonance about it.
Re: why he tells Near this; I definitely don't think this is meant to be some kind informative statement to make his intentions clear, regardless of whether he means them. I think you're in the right ballpark here. He feels as though he's been used by Near, so he wants to make Near feel the same, and in the process, to show him that he still antagonises Near despite appearing like an ally on the surface. So the interpretation of "don't think this means I'm backing down" is pretty accurate, I'd say. My other possible explanation would be that he believes saying will encourage Near to comply with him. Like, "you already used me, therefore you have to let me use you". We don't have much context to determine what their relationship looked like in the past, but Mello has a lot of hangups about keeping things fair (i.e. giving Near information in return for the photograph, because he doesn't like the idea of being in debt to him), so it's possible Near has demonstrated a similar mentality.
Because I think he’s competent enough that he could’ve interrogated Mogi by himself. No doubt he has the skills and confidence to do it on his own since he has the real lived experience needed to rise in the mafia where he'd have to flawlessly prove himself to a very tough crowd a hundred times over.
Theoretically yes, he could have done it himself, but his choice method of interrogation is kidnapping. I don't think he has the same raw persuasive power that Near does, which he seems to acknowledge in this scene ("I know you're good at that stuff"), so he draws information out of people by force instead. There are two problems with this. One, as mentioned above, he lacks the resources. He has never kidnapped anyone himself. In the case of Sayu and Kitamura, his mafia guys committed the crime themselves, and with Takada, he needed the cooperation of Matt and Lidner to get her away from NHN. I have to imagine it would be incredibly difficult for Mello to orchestrate the kidnapping of Mogi on his own, especially without a secure base, if he hasn't recruited another team of allies by this point.
The second problem is that, as far as he knows, Kira could still be anyone. He was told that it was Matsuda, now he's being told by Lidner that it's the second L, whose identity is unknown to him. Mogi could have the power to kill, and Mello's name is known to the task force, so revealing his face to anyone puts him at risk. This is also mentioned in Near's inner monologue, in which he specifically says "This way, Mello won't be in danger". He also follows this up by saying "Mello wouldn't try to kill me", and I agree with him on that front, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mello thought of this as a bit of a "fuck you" to Near by sending him a guy who could potentially be deadly.
If he kept Mogi to himself it would have in theory given him the big advantage instead of handing it over to his opponent. But the way he set it up put the power in Near's hands...there was always a chance that Near could’ve just said ‘lol thanks’ and hung up the phone leaving Mello high and dry. It seems odd somehow.
I think there's a fairly simple answer to this, which is that the purpose of the phone call is just not something that benefits Near. Mello wants Near to make Mogi say something that will incriminate L as Kira. Near is already confident that L is Kira, so he doesn't care about confirmation. That's strictly something Mello needs to hear. Mello "[keeping] Mogi to himself" would not place him at any distinct advantage, because it would only provide him with information that Near already knows. The reason it's beneficial for Near to let Mello hear this information is because it opens the door for Mello to potentially catch Kira himself. Near appears to want Kira caught regardless of who does it, so this is ultimately beneficial.
~~~
Why Mello Saved Near's Life
And finally, as I understand it your belief is in canon Mello’s priority never wavered from winning the competition but by the end he’d given up hope for that. But also he acted to save Near’s life and gain HIM the victory.
TOTALLY see what you’re saying here and I think this was just bad wording on my part in the original post. So my general opinion is that Mello has gone through a lot of character development since we first see him. When I say his priority was always to win, I mean this not in the sense that he thought dying was a victory, but in the sense that any action that allowed Near to win was not a true triumph. Thus, he couldn’t possibly consider it a win, even a joint one, when Near was ultimately the one to take credit for it, and he saw his sacrifice as surrendering instead. Essentially he never abandoned the idea that there could only be one winner, even if that winner was Near!
If he thought there’s a good chance Near is putting his life in danger by having his name written down and possibly overlooking Kira's counter-move, why act at all? If he were right wouldn't it present an opportunity for Mello to claim victory?
I think perhaps this excerpt (from here) from another of my analyses might help answer this for you:
there’s also the fact that his name is out there, and he knows that, so he probably thinks there’s a high risk he will die or be imprisoned regardless, so at least this way, he’s dying for a cause. and I think it’s also important to remember that even though he hates Near, he believes that Near is better than him. he was raised on that belief; it’s been drilled into him since he was a kid. that’s why he hates Near. so even though he’s dedicated his entire life to beating Near, I do think in a situation like this, where he thinks that one of them is going to die, he would probably assume it’s better to be him.
My point here is essentially that there is not really a future for Mello beyond the case. Even if Mello did "win", what would he do? He already forfeited the role of L; it's not like Near would just give that up because of some five-year-old competition that he was never really invested in. And Mello is a wanted criminal, so his other options are pretty bleak. He could spend the rest of his life on the run, but why? What is the point? I think he started to realise that he had to accept defeat, because the only goal he had left to chase was his own pride.
If Near dies in his confrontation with Kira due to his own mistake…well, that seems like he’s lost fair and square. Afterwards Mello could use Near’s death as the evidence to confront Kira on his own and finally come out the winner.
The issue with this is that it eliminates the entire point of winning. If Near is dead, who is he proving himself to? Who is around to see him claim that victory? It's not like Roger cares, and there's no one else at Wammy's House who mattered to him the same way Near did.
I do get what you mean! Honestly I think Mello was extremely confident that there was a hole in his plan, based on his line "Then I guess I'm going to have to do it". The phrasing makes him sound extremely sure of himself, so I don't think he had any doubt that Near would die if he didn't act.

Thank you so much for the ask!! I hope this answers things for you - sorry it took me a fair while to write 🫶

19.Eclipse: I need some help with my homework, Earth. Earth: What’s the assignment? Eclipse: I’m supposed to write a paper that presents both sides of an issue and then defends one of the arguments. Earth: What’s your issue? Eclipse: That’s the problem. I can’t think of anything to argue. Earth: That’s hard to believe. Eclipse: I’m always right and everybody else is always wrong! What’s to argue about?!
20.Bloodmoon: Who else is hiding in the laundry room trying to listen to Eclipse and Lunar's convo? Moon: Me. I'm in the laundry basket. Earth: I'm in the washing machine. Sun: I'm in the closet. Moon: We accept you Sun. <3 Sun: No I'm literally in the closet. Moon: Love is love. <3

Hello,
While referring to the Battle of the Bastards episode when Sansa tells Jon that they need more men, would that be a moot point for her to be right as there were no more men?
He listens to her when she said they didn’t have enough men, and he agreed. But there were no other men available to them.
Jon saw his baby brother running away from Ramsey who was throwing arrows at him to kill and tried to save him (“oh better just let him die cause someone told me not to do what Ramsey wants”?? Saw this somewhere), I’d like to ask if you think what he did was rational considering his brother was going to die, or is there something else he could’ve done instead of messing up his battle plans in one move?
Sansa is primarily criticizing that Jon is going into this battle overconfident and expecting it to go according to what he could expect from a "normal" enemy. With his little "I wanted to make him angry" line, thinking he could easily provoke Ramsay into a mistake. He is not scared enough, cautious enough, for her taste.
Sansa is trying to tell him that only an overwhelming force would predictably work to defeat Ramsay, everything else is extremely risky because of how manipulative and ruthless Ramsay is. She doesn't like that Jon is taking the chance of battle in this circumstance and that he isn't planning according to what the situation requires, i.e. "he's the one who lays traps". Jon hasn't planned for that at all. She assures him that Rickon is a lost cause. That what he wants and expects from this won't happen, that "Battles have been won against greater odds" is irresponsible.
Jon reacts defensively, takes her criticism and worry as an attack against his own level of experience, uses an angry and condescending tone. He's not open to thinking about the situation together, talking over options and applying his own expertise to what she is telling him about the enemy. When she signals her sense of despair and resignation, he offers reassurances that ring hollow. There is no avoiding what will happen, she realizes.
And, predictably, the thing Sansa warned him about happens: Rickon is a lost cause, Ramsay is playing a diabolical mind game. Jon has not prepared for that option, made any contingency for it. Of course, his response wasn't rational, it was entirely emotional and it got a ton of people killed, as Ramsay wanted.
Jon wasn't willing or able to adjust to the situation. He made it clear beforehand and he proved it later. There is no malice in it and he was very human in how he acted. He lacked Sansa experience to anticipate Ramsay's capacity for cruelty. He had no way to mentally detach from Rickon's survival the way Sansa automatically could, knowing Ramsay. Jon never thought to take advantage of her insight. He simply fell exactly into the trap that was laid out for him, a normal human being, and they all would have died.
So Sansa made her own contingency plan, and it happened to work.
Happy end.

Teddy Bear
“Doctor Bashir, I ...” Garak stops just inside the room as soon as he sees the doctor curled together on the couch. He has his eyes closed and a teddy bear pressed against his chest. He has answered Garak’s knock, but now he doesn’t react to his presence.
“Doctor?” Worried about this unusual behaviour, Garak approaches. It is a show of vulnerability that is unsettling.
“Garak, what can I do for you?” The doctor opens his eyes and at the same time pulls the teddy bear closer.
Garak has forgotten what he has wanted, his worry overriding all other thoughts. “My dear, what happened?”
With a sigh, the doctor closes his eyes. “I lost a patient.”
Garak hasn’t heard about any deaths but that doesn’t mean anything. It could’ve been a natural death that wasn’t noteworthy. For him. It is, of course, important for the doctor.
Seeing the doctor this miserable makes Garak insecure. Doctor Bashir is rarely earnest. It isn’t uncommon for Garak to be irritated because the doctor goes through life as if it is a game to him. But not today.
Unsure how to react, Garak sits down on the couch, at the doctor’s legs. The doctor scoots a bit back to make room for Garak.
“I am sorry to hear that.” Not that Garak is sorry that some unknown person died, he couldn’t care less, but he is sorry that the doctor is sad about it. He doesn’t know how to deal with a sad doctor. He waits and when he gets no reaction, he puts one hand on the doctor’s hip, drawing small circles with his thumb. It is too intimate, but he is at a loss about what to do instead. He could leave but that would be about the shittiest thing he could do.
The doctor doesn’t seem to mind the intimacy of the touch, instead he slowly relaxes. Until he sighs again and opens his eyes. A wry smile curls his lips. “Sometimes it upsets me more when someone dies. Our technology is so advanced, we can cure diseases we couldn’t hundred years ago but of course there are things we are helpless against. It is normal, people have to die, we can’t hope to live forever. Yet it is difficult to accept at times. Can you tell me about your day, please?”
Garak has always kept some distance between him and the doctor. Yes, he has flirted but mostly because he has been sure that the doctor wouldn’t recognize it as flirting anyway. It has worked, until today. This show of trust, this show of vulnerability from the doctor, it crumbles all walls Garak has built to keep him away.
It burns through his body and consumes his heart in an instant. The doctor’s smile is etched into his memory until he is sure he will never forget the way he cuddles a teddy bear to his chest. He lets Garak see his pain and he doesn’t shy away from it. And Garak is helpless, he is simply not able to keep the doctor at a distance when he is sad and in need of comfort. Comfort he clearly wants from Garak, of all people. “Of course, my dear.” He smiles, though the doctor can’t see it because he has already closed his eyes again. “It has been an exceptionally exciting day.” It hasn’t. None of his days are exciting anymore but sometimes Garak has to admit that he is glad about it. “When the first customer entered my shop, when I had just opened a minute ago, I knew they would bring nothing but trouble.” Garak weaves a story, a story about spies and machinations, one he knows the doctor will enjoy, but one with a happy ending.
Some of the aspects are happenings from Garak’s past, but definitely not the happy ending. Nothing of what Garak has experienced during his life has ever had a truly happy ending. But he is aware that the doctor wouldn’t like to hear about death and defeat in his current mood. And so he doesn’t tell the truth. Not even barely. While he talks, he leaves his hand resting on the doctor’s hip.
While he talks, the doctor shifts closer until he is curled around Garak, warm against his sides and back.
While he talks, all tension leaves the doctor’s shoulders and the sadness vanishes from his features.
While he talks, the light dims a little, telling him that it is evening for the doctor and creating a comfortable atmosphere.
When he has finished the story, the doctor smiles. He turns his upper body and looks at Garak. “You know, you are astonishingly good in telling stories. You could make a book out of this one, a book even humans would like.” His smile widens. “Thank you.”
Garak has made his story likeable for humans, because the doctor doesn’t particularly care for the cardassian style. He knows his taste after so many shared lunches with discussions over literature.
“This was not merely a story. You asked me to tell you about my day and I did.”
The doctor chuckles softly. “Garak, if you experienced all this today, then something is seriously wrong. With you, with Deep Space 9 and with everyone else here.”
They sit/lie there and stare at each other until Garak becomes uncomfortable. This is too intimate for his liking. He needs to get the walls back up that keeps the doctor at a safe distance. He stands up and tugs at his shirt, to keep his hands busy, not because he has to.
The doctor sits up and puts the teddy bear next to him on the couch. “I guess you wanted to fetch me. For dinner. If you don’t mind that it is a little late, we can still go.”
Garak minds. He’d rather get to his quarters and push the doctor out of his thoughts. But since he can’t possibly tell him that and since there is still a trace of his vulnerability left, Garak agrees.
That is a mistake. He knows it when they sit down and the doctor’s smile is warmer than usual and when he immediately responds with a genuine smile of his own. Garak has left the stage of flirting behind him, the only thing he wants to do now is have the doctor curled around him like earlier. He frowns at his own emotionality but when the doctor begins to talk, all cheerfulness and smiles, he is captured by it immediately. He supposes there is no use in trying to push his feelings away now anymore. It has been effective before, when the doctor hasn’t been in every fibre of Garak’s being but it will be impossible to push him out now that he has broken down all of Garak’s defences.
The doctor has snuck his way into Garak’s heart, unintentionally, and once there Garak has no chance of getting rid of him again. It is fine, he thinks when he watches the doctor and finds himself happy about being here, with him. It has been a long time since he liked someone as much as he likes the doctor. He’ll simply roll with it and enjoy the sensation. Because it does feel nice, even though he doesn’t think there will come anything from it. It is nice nonetheless.
Garak places a hand over the doctor’s. “My dear, you should slow down with all your talking and take the time to eat.” He can’t even bring himself to add ‘doctor’ after the ‘my dear’. He supposes there goes all the distance. Swept away by one sad and vulnerable doctor Bashir, cuddling with a teddy bear and in dire need of comfort. And Garak, helpless not be the one who offers comfort.

Shuichi Iguchi x Reader
Warnings: Pet-Play, Dominant Reader, Double Penetration, Mentions of Cheating, Mentions of Murder, Safe Word Usage, Alcohol Consumption, Hints at Manipulation, Hints at Misogyny (?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You figured this marriage would be the best thing to have ever happened to you. He was older than you, smarter than you, richer than you could ever imagine, and he loved you so much. He spoiled you endlessly, gifting you lavish gifts and expensive clothes and other items, you never had to clean the house or even cook him dinner, you were living in the lap of luxury! You knew when you got into this relationship that he was a busy man, running his business and going on business trips, doing what he needed to, so you never asked questions.
You loved your husband so much, he was a good man.
You were married for almost ten years together, and despite how many times you two tried, you could never get pregnant. He never blamed you for it, never got mad about it, if anything he seemed thankful. After all, that gave him plenty more time to focus on his job.
You loved your husband, truly you did, but there was one thing you didn’t put up with.
Your mother had gotten ill, so you needed to go off to see how she was, to see if there was anything you could do to help, or if you needed to send her off. Once your decision was made, and the funeral had gone on easily, you were finally able to return home to your loving husband and his open arms.
Apparently, his arms were too open, because you found him in bed with his secretary and accountant.
If only he had talked to you.
If only he had told you the truth.
If only he had changed his will before having that heart attack and drowning in the pool.
You were crying for days when he died, crying when you spoke to the police, crying when you had to put him in the ground, crying when you fired the accountant and secretary he stuck his dick in, crying when you had to sell your share of his company, and crying when you went to bed.
Now you were a widow, with newfound fortune and no family to share it with.
You were lonely.
But it could’ve been worse.
The police questioned how you got over your husband's death so quickly, and you rolled your eyes, explaining you were in the process of divorce before he passed away. You explained his extracurricular activities with other women, and they in turn questioned you about the money. You rolled your eyes again and explained you could give two fucks about the money, wanting to be rid of it more than anything. You were telling the truth too, having donated many of your newfound funds into homeless shelters, foster systems, local libraries and so on. You didn’t want anything to do with that man, you explained, having instead moved into a small little home for yourself and selling off everything he had previously owned. Of course you were suspect number one, but the police were far too dumb to catch on to anything, and you were much smarter than a simple vexed housewife.
Did you kill him?
… Well it wasn’t like he didn’t deserve it, but no one needed to know that.
But the fact of the matter still stood. You were lonely. Loneliness snuck up on you, afterall you never anticipated feeling this way, especially after getting away with something scott free. You were lonely after your grandparents died, but you still had your parents.
You were lonely after your father died, but you had your mother. You were lonely after your mother died… You wished things could've been different. When did it all go wrong? When you got older? When you couldn't bear his children? You couldn't guess, and frankly you didn't care anymore. Why would you care about the thoughts of an old fool like him, anyway? You had better things to do. You could paint, work in your garden, visit places and people at your leisure.
But none of it soothed that aching loneliness…
So, you tried dating. You were still young, confident in yourself, and you knew you could wrangle any man you could ever want! So… You refused to believe anything was wrong with you when men would avoid you, swipe over you, choose someone younger rather than someone their age. It was frustrating, but there was always one more option…
No… Not that one… Too many muscles… Far too young for your taste… A bit too expensive… Oh that's just obscene-
This site wasn't one you'd ever expect yourself to be on, but you had money and time to spend on someone else. Besides, it was better to hire someone rather than just sit alone in your home, right?
There was one young man who was damn near a decade younger than you- But you weren't that… Opposed to him. He had great reviews from everyone, sans some creeps complaining that he wouldn't act like an animal no matter how much money they put on the line. What you gathered from that was he had dignity, and you liked that.
So you hired him.
Truth be told, no matter how confident you were, you were still terribly nervous. Days went by where you meticulously cleaned your home, putting everything in its proper place. You paced and double checked yourself in the mirror, wondering if you looked okay, maybe too old? Not old enough? What were you even doing, maybe you could still cancel-
There was a knock on your door and you jumped, quickly moving to answer it. He was taller than you anticipated, and far better looking in real life than on your tiny little screen.
Shuichi Iguchi was in your doorway, the male escort you hired to… Simply spend time with you.
He looked familiar, but you couldn't be bothered to put your thumb on it, welcoming him in and offering him a drink.
Shuichi was very thankful you didn't ask questions, or make a comment about any of his affiliations with the League. He was also pleasantly surprised you were rather young, and really attractive too. Maybe this time he'd actually enjoy himself. Coming into your home he made himself comfortable, telling you exactly how he liked his tea, and being cordial with you while you sat with him. However, he noticed your nervousness while the two of you sat in silence, the clock ticking in the background.
"... Are you alright?"
You jumped, "Ah- y-yes uhm I'm just a bit…. Nervous, is all I'm not really- I-I've never-"
He caught on, "Oh, really? A pretty thing like you? I-I'm sorry, that's just hard for me to believe…."
You blushed and nodded, laughing at his compliments. "Yes, I'm afraid I'm new to this whole exchange… I just lost my husband you see and I'm a bit lonely-"
"Oh wow I'm sorry-"
"He was a cheating bastard, don't waste your breath on him."
Shuichi shut up with that, nodding. You smiled again, immediately changing the subject.
"Sooooo, Shuichi, what is it that you do?"
"Uh well, mostly this…" He hesitated mentioning the League, but caught himself. "I also play video games…"
"Oh fun! I used to play some, but I haven't played any in quite some time though…"
"Cool… What about you..?"
"I spend most of my time doing small things and donating, charitable work, things to help others. But even then I've grown lonely…"
Shuichi hummed, "So why not get into dating? Why this?"
You laughed shortly, "I tried, but I'm out of the age range for most men my age… Ugh, and look at me, doing exactly what they are…"
Shuichi took your hand, his was far colder than your own, "You're not really, I can promise you that. We're just talking, and it's not like I'm a dumb kid, I know what I like n' all that. You're not taking advantage of me, so don't even think about it, alright?"
You held onto his hand and gave him a squeeze, nodding your head, "I appreciate the reassurance… To make myself feel better, may I ask something…?"
"Sure thing, you can ask anything."
You hesitated, blushing. Here it comes.
"Is it alright if we just talk, for now…?"
Oh, that… Was not what Shuichi expected. He expected something far more profane. Perhaps something dirty, or even gross, but not this.
It was cute, wholesome even.
"Sure thing…"
Visits were often like that, and he was thankful you lived so far away from anyone. He didn't have to hide his face with you, and never expected you to do anything odd. The two of you got to know each other, watched movies together, and the most you've done was cuddle him at night. Shuichi was never opposed, you were soft and warm, the world was cold and hard, he could get used to this.
He even thought it was funny when you would smack talk your old husband. The man sounded like the person you were afraid to become, going after people far younger than yourself and manipulating them, making them your little play things rather than your partner. Every time that happened, Shuichi reassured you that you were nothing like that, even if you paid him for his time, he could deny you at any point, and he knew you would never push anything uncomfortable on him, unlike others. Many others.
Hell, even when you were drunk you didn’t push anything onto him. But, he did learn plenty of new things about you. Things you were far too bashful to talk about without intoxication.
“Wait wait wait, let me get this straight… He didn’t want you to-”
“Ever be in control! I could n-never make suggestions, use toys, or even- *hic* Eve-even tell him which hole to use!”
Shuichi laughed, “And he slept with other women? Ha, no wonder he liked 'em young…”
“He was terrible too- He only ever lasted ten minutes!”
You took another sip of your third glass of wine, Shuichi barely drinking from his first. “So, what would you have done, if given the chance?”
You cooed at that, your bright red face somehow turning even redder.
“Oooh, the things I would have done… I wanted to tie him up and torture him until he was begging for it- P-put a collar on him too- Wanted to mark him like mine-”
You muttered something about it not working, but Shuichi was too preoccupied with your confession of wanting such dominance over him. Your husband was a lucky man, why would he waste such an opportunity to submit?
“Yeah, I wanted to do so much with him, try using vibes and cock rings, wanted to try out shibari with em- *hic* W-wanted to make him my pet, y’know? But nooooooo, I don’t know what I want- Bas- *hic*- Ugh… Bastard…”
Shuichi was glad you were inebriated, you wouldn’t notice the red on his face or the tent in his pants.
He’d admit it was a little embarrassing, being used to something very similar, and yet completely the opposite. He was used to being a call-boy, an escort, a sugar baby. He was used to freaks asking him to act like a lizard. He was used to older women asking him to absolutely desecrate them- Men too. It never really bothered him, after all they pay for what they want, and if they want a dominant then he would be that for them. But really, he wanted someone to take control.
He wanted someone to take the reins and treat him like a pet- Like what you wanted to do. Was the idea extremely arousing? Yes, and unfortunately there was nothing he could currently do about it, and he half-expected you to not remember a damn thing tomorrow. So, despite his obvious attraction to you and his raging hard-on, he would be good.
For now.
He decided to call it there for the night, for the both of you, when you started talking nonsense about drowning your husband and hoping he rots in hell. He got you some water, set aside some pain killers for the morning, and he was about to leave you be.
Well, until you grabbed his hand and pulled him back slightly.
“Shuichiiiii… Staaaay… ‘Wanna cuddle…”
He blushed again, still half-mast. “Ah- I don’t think that’s wise-”
“Mmm- Promise I’ll be good… Don’wanna be ‘lone r’now…”
Your words were slurring even more as you started dozing off, and he relented. Crawling into bed next to you, he was sure to keep a good amount of distance, as to not… Alert you. But, he wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head on your back.
“G’night Shu… Ichi….”
He smiled into your back, “G’night…”
The next morning you woke up with a splitting headache, as expected. You never really were one to hold your alcohol well-
You groaned when you remembered what happened last night, feeling your face flush as you held your head in your hands. You were ashamed of yourself, having spewed your guts to him like that- Oh fuck, you told him about your husband! You told him about your husband's death! Throwing yourself out of bed, you ran to the kitchen area and saw Shuichi eating some cereal, he was stopped right in the middle of taking a bite.
“Uuuh, good morning? You alright?”
The cops weren’t here yet, maybe he wanted to blackmail you.
“Y-yes I’m fine uhm… W-what are you doing?”
He looked to the side and motioned to his spoonful of cereal, “Eating, why?”
You gulped, looking at the phone in his hands and back to him.
Tackling him down to the ground you yanked the phone out of his hands, ignoring his pleads as you got off of him quickly and held it away from him.
“What the hells gotten into you!? Give me back my phone!”
“Not until you tell me what you plan to do!”
“I wanted to eat breakfast! Is that so bad!?”
You played ring-around-the-rosie with him around your coffee-table, before he jumped over it and tackled you. You squealed, trying to wiggle your way out from under him before he snatched his phone back from you, before pinning you to the ground.
“What has gotten in to you!?”
You huffed, still wiggling, “L-let me go! I have to get out of here-”
“Why!?”
“Because I told you!”
Shuichi was confused, letting you go and sitting up, still pinning you by the waist. “Told me what!? Your kinks!?”
You flushed, “N-no! Not that…!”
“Then what the hell are you-”
It suddenly clicked in his head what you were talking about. It wasn’t nonsense what you were talking about last night, it was the truth. You paled when you saw his realisation and started wiggling even more, before he pinned you again.
“I’m a villain.”
His sudden outburst made you stop. You looked at him and scoffed, “No you’re not…”
“I am, my villain name is Spinner, I’m a part of the League of Villains…”
You were silent and he went on, “I needed extra money, so I picked up a side gig… The kind of thing I do isn’t exactly legal, but because people are desperate, they usually keep quiet… So I wouldn’t tell the cops anyway, even if I believed you.”
You scoffed, “You still don’t believe me?”
“Not fuckin’ really, you don’t take me for a murderer in the slightest…”
You rolled your eyes and wiggled again, “Could we get up now…? I’ll tell you everything, I just… I need to take those pain meds too…”
Shuichi sighed and got off of you, helping you up and getting you the pain meds he originally expected you to take immediately after waking up. From there, you told him your story, your method, how you didn’t even feel anything when you did it too… He told you a few stories about himself, and the two of you sat there. Shuichi’s cereal was long forgotten, and you were poking at your water.
“So… About your kinks-”
“Shuichi!”
He flushed, “Sorry sorry, I just thought it’d be a good topic to talk about! Especially since you’re sober now and can probably remember a lot more.”
That got you interested, but you felt like teasing. “Why would you be interested in something like that? Naughty…”
He flushed a bit and chuckled, “Ha, uh… W-well I’m just curious, that’s all…”
You caught on suddenly, and it made you flush, “Shuichi, you know we don’t have to do anything, right…?”
“I-I know I mean…” This usually wasn’t as hard to do, or initiate, so why was he struggling now?
“Shuichi, maybe we should wait for that, don’t you think?”
You touched his arm and smiled softly at him, and he couldn't help but think about your hands. The hands that ruthlessly held your husband under water, were holding him so gently. Why was that thought so attractive to him?
“Y-yea sure uh… W-well, will you ask for me again soon?”
You smirked and he felt his dick twitch at the sight. “Maybe, darling. Now go on, I’m certain you have things to tend to.”
Shuichi nodded and after making sure you were alright, and reassuring you once again he was a villain (he showed you a picture of the Tomura Shigaraki sleeping- He snores apparently), he left. You waved him off as you always do, and smiled softly at him. He had his secrets, and you had yours. But, you found solace in each other, and shared your secrets with one another. It was… A soothing thought.
But now that those revelations had come to pass, you had to make preparations. You got online immediately and started spending hundreds on new toys that you’ve always wanted to try, and after reading up and studying plenty, you were finally ready to call upon your new pet.
Shuichi hadn’t taken any new clients since that night and morning. He didn’t think he could get it up for anyone else anymore, after all, you were his dream come true. You were older than him, sure, but you were so fucking attractive, and you paid him well, and you never pushed anything onto him and- Ugh, he was in deep.
It could prove to be a problem if he didn’t get it taken care of, but when he heard that ding on his phone, and he saw it was a transaction from you, he nearly tripped over his own feet getting himself together to leave. He wasn’t sure if he should bring anything or expect anything, but he couldn’t lie about not being excited. He had to adjust himself multiple times to not alert any stander-byes about his current very hard problem.
Don’t get too excited.
Don’t get in over your head.
Don’t rush.
All things he tried to tell himself as he arrived at your home, rather quickly. He knocked on your door erratically, alerting you that he was finally here. You gave yourself one more look over and smirked. You hadn’t felt this good since your wedding night, dressed in your finest nightwear, a sheer robe, just enough makeup to accent your eyes. You got to the door and opened it slowly, and you smirked at what you saw.
What Shuichi saw almost made him cream his pants. Sure, he was bigger than you and stronger than you, and he’s killed plenty more people than you, but you still looked like a predator, and he was your prey. You looked at him with sharp eyes and a smirk, and you looked hot.
“I uh… I-I got your t-transaction…”
You nodded, “And you came running, huh?”
Shuichi nodded with a gulp, his face flushing even darker. You let him in and allowed him to get comfortable, before you brought him to your room. You even lit candles- Fuck he was done for. You sat on the foot of your bed and patted the seat next to you, but Shuichi wanted you to know exactly what he wanted. With an embarrassed blush, he got on his hands and knees, and crawled over to you. Putting his head in your lap, and looking up at you with pathetic eyes. Your eyes were slightly widened, before you smiled down at him with an almost loving gaze.
“Tell me what you want, pet… And tell me what you don’t want…”
Shuichi whimpered and you could feel yourself get even more excited. “I… I want you to take control of me… T-to own me… I want you t-to take care of me a-and I… I wanna be good for you…”
You cooed at him and he felt his heart speed up. “And what lines shouldn't I not cross dear?”
He blushed even darker, “U-uhm… I-I don’t really feel comfortable with a-anal… N-not yet…”
You nodded and pet his hair, “Good boy… Now do me a favour, okay? Tell me if you have a safe word, alright~?”
“Y-yea ‘c-course uhm… M-my safeword has always been Leopard…”
“Thank you. Now, darling, is there anything else I need to know~?”
Shuichi shook his head and mumbled a soft, “No.”
“Alright then, now, be a good boy and strip for me, ‘kay~?”
Shuichi sputtered as he got up and nodded, taking off his clothes, rather quickly. He was excited, what could he say? Getting his pants off was difficult, to say the least. But, he knew you wouldn’t be disappointed, nobody ever was. That was one of, if not the only reason he was as popular as he was before he met you. He was “blessed” with more gecko-qualities than he’d like to admit.
When you saw him, you were surprised, and slightly worried. Would you be able to fit both? Your husband was only nearly half his size, and despite one of his dicks being smaller than the other, they both still had a lot of girth. Shuichi noticed your staring and he blushed, suddenly feeling very self-conscious.
“W-we don’t have to-”
“No, it's fine. This is what they invented lube for anyway. Now, come here~”
He looked back up at you and saw you holding your arms open for him, and he walked over to you slowly.
“Kneel~”
He did as you told him, keeping his head down, before you lifted his chin, “Look at me, baby~”
When he did, he felt something around his neck, and his eyes widened when he finally heard the metal clinking. You got him a collar, and it had his name, and your name on it. He looked at you in shock, and you were about to ask if that was alright, before he clung onto you, nuzzling into your waist, muttering his praise and pleading for you.
You smiled sweetly down to him.
Your husband would never.
“I’m glad you like your present baby, but we haven’t even begun yet. Get comfortable on the bed, okay~?”
He nodded and did as you told him, laying down on the bed and breathing in your scent, the pillows surrounding him as he laid there. You lifted yourself onto the bed, clicking something onto his collar.
He wanted to squeal when he saw the leash, but only moaned when he felt you rub yourself against him. You flushed, pleased to know he was already so ready for you. But, you wanted to go slow. It had been almost a whole year since your last time having sex, and you needed time to get used to him. Leaning over and grabbing the lube, Shuichi looked at you in anticipation. Slowly you dribbled some lube down his dicks, making him whine. Tossing the bottle to the side, you almost immediately started slowly pushing him in.
“H-haaooh f-fuck~!”
You smirked at his reaction to you, but stopped at about halfway, when you felt his second dick twitch outside of you. He whined again, his hips moving on their own before you tugged the leash.
“Ah ah, no… I need to ready myself for you baby, you need to be good, and patient, alright~?”
“B-but- Mmm~ F-feels good~”
You cooed almost mockingly at him and he felt himself buck at that, making you tug even harder at the leash, your other hand steadying his hips.
“I know it feels good baby, but patience is rewarded~”
He whimpered yet again, but nodded. You nodded as well, fucking yourself on his larger dick, slowly, making him moan with every little movement. It was torture for Shuichi, but he swore to himself he’d be good- He would, he’d be good for you, he had to be…
It felt like it took ages for your speed to pick up, and your moaning was something he wanted to hear for the rest of his life. Music to his ears, a song for his soul, and he wanted it to never fucking end.
But when you stopped and he whined again, you tutted at him, as you moved your other hand to press his other dick at your entrance.
“O-ooh f-fuck b-be c-carefu~Uuuhh~!!”
When you pressed him in to you, he threw his head back, moaning out your name like a prayer. He was huffing, his hands finding purchase on your hips while you slowly sank down further on to him.
Don’t cum, don’t cum, don’t cum, don’t cum, don’t-
“F-fuck! N-no-no!! Leopard- Fuck~!”
You jolted when you felt him cum inside you, moaning yourself and gasping at the feeling. This was something completely new to you, and when he said his safe word, you tried pulling off of him- But he stopped you.
“S-Shuichi y-you said-”
“M’sorry I just- Aah…. F-fuck… I’m so-sorry….”
You immediately knew he was embarrassed when he shut his eyes tight, shoving his face in the pillows next to him. You cooed, your grip on his leash loose as you leaned forward, still with his dicks inside of you, making him moan at the slight stimulation.
“Shuichi darling it’s okay…”
“B-but you didn’t-”
“I didn't say we had to stop honey, you did~”
He flushed at that and gulped, whining softly when he was reminded of the collar around his throat.
“O-okay uhm… I-I take it back…?”
You chuckled softly, “What was that sweetheart? You take back what?”
“M-my safe word I-I take it b-back… Mmm- P-please move..?”
You smiled softly and nodded, “Of course baby~”
With that, you slowly lifted yourself, before fucking down on him, making him almost squeal. His moan was so loud, and he could swear this was the best he’d ever had. Anyone else before you seemed… Used to it. Used to double penetration. But not you, you were so- Tight and warm, and now you were full of him in so many ways, it made him want to cry how heavenly you felt, wrapped around him like this. Your hips moved painfully slowly, bucking your hips and moaning at the feeling. You were slow, sensual, and you couldn’t last much longer.
With a short gasp and a shudder, you came on him, making him cry out and whine.
"Fuck fuck fu-fuuuugghh~" Shuichi cried out, groaning in absolute pleasure.
You moaned softly as you pulled him out of you, slowly. Yanking his leash again, he tiredly looked down and moaned when he saw your combined juices dripping out of you and onto the sheets.
"Holy… W-wow I…. Ha…"
"How was that, my pet~?"
He shuddered at the name and nodded, "G-good- Really fucking good… Uh… I-I don't think I'll ever recover ha…"
You giggled, "Oh? Care to elaborate dear?"
You leaned to take the collar and leash off, but he stopped you. "I mean, I'm not… I-I'm not taking anymore clients… I-I want to be exclusive…. Exclusively y-y-yours… Your... Your pet..."
Your eyes widened at that, but you quickly smiled and nodded.
"I'd like that~"

Who Attacked the Phantomhive Manor?
I had previously wrote about this back in 2022, but I thought I could expand on it two years later. (If anyone is interested: https://www.tumblr.com/salty-protagonist/694488877301399552/who-is-behind-the-attack-on-the-phantomhive-manor)
In essence, I thinks it’s quite possible that the Phantomhive family organized the attack. I will answer questions as bullet points so feel free to look at the ones that seem interesting. :)
Isn’t Vincent Dead?
Think about it, is anyone actually dead in this series? Grim reapers and bizarre dolls are technically dead too but they account for half of the characters. Vincent could’ve come back somehow. But I don’t think that’s the case, he probably never died in the first place.
There are some instances through different chapters that support this theory, but let’s try to focus on those that tie back to the Phantomhives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tanaka is loyal to the Phamtomhives. So loyal that he sided with RCiel once the child came back. Before him, his master was Vincent. Considering Sebastian met Tanaka after the attack, the words in the panels above relate to Tanaka’s own experience. This may’be been regarded as a random motivational quote only if this wasn’t Kuroshitsuji.
About the death of Sebastian the dog, I had previously said why would random criminals not kill the dog if they were just after the twins and instead go through the trouble of putting a muzzle on it. But the dog is killed later in Vincent’s bedroom. Only people OC saw in the room were the bodies of his parents and a random blond servant.
Tumblr media
Just for the sake of mystery, I will assume that there wasn’t anyone else in the room. So someone in the room that OC did see could’ve killed the dog. 🐕
What about the servants?
Phantomhive manor had so many workers for every task before the attack as we all know, with Tanaka being the head butler. While butlers do swear loyalty to their masters in this story (Sebastian, Agni, etc.) others have a higher possibility of betraying their master.
The other servants could‘be been working for a family member other than Vincent. This is quite a reach considering there isn’t much to know about the generation before Vincent. However, the servants did say that they had a surprise for the kids.
Tumblr media
I think that because Tanaka is the one who mentioned the surprise, he was the one servants informed of about wanting to create a specific circumstance for the surprise which is just the attack. Because Vincent trusts Tanaka, he wouldn’t see it as a threat, which may not have been the case if it was mentioned by another servant. I’m not saying Vincent didn’t know about the “surprise” beforehand, but he may’ enjoy been deceived in about the details.
The blond guy from the previous question could’ve pretended to be dead after killing Sebastian. The blood splatters don’t match any heavy injury on his body.
Weren’t we shown what happened in the flashbacks?
Technically, but only from OC’s point of view. Before Ciels were revealed to be twins, all the childhood flashbacks were from his perspective too. So Yana Toboso was able to hide such a crucial information while leaving clues behind for the readers. RC being the first to go out to explore on 14 December without the readers not seeing anything, weird sounds and OC blacking out during transportation are all gaps in the readers (and OC’s) knowledge.
Tumblr media
For transportation, considering the children were worth a lot more when they’re together, why did the kidnappers separate them and risk something happening to one? Why did RC reach the selling location before OC instead of bringing them together and saving on costs. And why weren’t RC’s tied?
Tumblr media
They tied up OC’s legs while he was unconscious. Then they put him in a locked suitcase in a locked car with two kidnappers who were probably armed. Why wasn’t the same measures applied to RC.
Now, I’m not saying a 10 year old child was the one who coordinated the attack, but he may’ve more information that would make him not run away since he is “the true heir.”
Is twin Ciel really that suspicious?
Yes. Let’s focus on the ring. Why didn’t the kidnappers take it? They should’ve searched the kids to see if they have any goods or weapons on them which would risk the sale. Phantomhive ring is bigger compared to others as well.
This is a reach but it may’ve been a tracking device. In general, I don’t refer to Green/Emerald Witch Arc much in my posts. But, they discovered tracking devices within protection amulets back then. It can be an indirect hint to this.
For those who may think why Sebastian didn’t notice anything, it’s because he doesn’t have the detection skills for a tracking device. He was surprised to learn the truth about the amulets in Germany too.
Tumblr media
This would also explain how RC was able to follow OC and his demon with Undertaker anywhere they went. RC reappearance was very well coordinated too. He went to the house in London because he knew OC wasn’t there. Agni and Some may’ve been unexpected variables or UT knew they were there before sending RC. Additionally, RC was able to appear just as OC entered the mansion and the police came in really timely manner. All of these suggest that there could’ve indeed been a tracking device.
No normal child would examine his father’s corpse for jewelry upon first impression. The ring was probably given to RC by someone else. But he instructed to tell OC otherwise.
Tumblr media
Who attacked the Phantomhive Manor?
I think the real culprit was Claudia or any family member who had the blood of Phantomhive. Maybe they’re yearning for immortality and require quality material for UT’s research. Maybe they’re aggrevated regarding something that happened in Germany, or with Queen Victoria. But it’s likely a Phantomhive (other than RC) attacked the manor with the help of servants, UT and possible outside help.
The scene from when twins were even younger could even be a foreshadowing to the attack. OC kept waiting for revenge and to find the culprits, but it was someone he knew and trusted in reality.
Tumblr media
I’m taking this story as evidence because similar things have happened in the story. One example I liked for direct foreshadowing for the twin theory is Maurice Cole (bad guy, make-up dude, Weston academy) who said he did those bad things because he felt insignificant in his brother’s shadow.
———————
I referred back to a lot of older chapters so many of these may be popular ideas that I’m not aware of. Thank you for reading this very long post.

Assorted impressions of Monster Sanctuary Nuzlocking so far:
I’m doing Hero Mode (one monster per area, handled for you by giving you a random egg) and Permadeath, as well as Relics of Chaos (find rare- but not overpowered - equipment).
I’ve just fought the alchemist in the Sun Palace; my playthrough is still in progress. At this point I’ve obtained 10 monsters with 2 deaths. Current team is Spectral Lion (Leah), dark Dracozul (Weyr), Frosty (Lumos), Asura (rename pending), Amberlnga (Dewy) and Koi (Kori).
Team related
You start with a spectral familiar and 2 other random monsters
Comic/art-wise, fights move more quickly than Pokemon battles (meaning a lot more happens in a turn, it can still be a marathon at times), but the team each playing vital roles in battle and supporting each other is a good character focus. I like the shielders! such lifesavers
The eggs can hatch into DLC monsters, champions and evolved species– I hatched my G’rulu and Dracozul already evolved. You also don't need to have encountered a monster or be anywhere near its route to get its egg. Abilities seem to work immediately, too, unlike New Game+.
You still get given a free Koi egg! this is not random or area-based as it's necessary for progression.
When a monster dies, its equipment goes back into your inventory.
You can still use dead monsters’ travel abilities, so you can't get stuck. They just look normal in-game but imagine riding a ghostly mount...
What happens if your spectral familiar dies? they have speaking lines!
Losing a monster feels unsettling as it can leave a hole in your team. For example, I just lost my G'rulu healer/restorer (RIP Zoidberg) and I have two monsters in reserve capable of healing but... my team was set up to work together with his passives and multi-debuffs....
Difficulty
According to my spectral familiar: 'The level of enemy monsters is directly based on the number of rooms you have entered that have Monster encounters inside of them'. If I understand correctly, skipping wild fights eventually makes your level fall behind, while fighting everything new puts you maybe a little ahead.
Also: oh hmm I just found the difficulty option in Settings haha... I'm doing Normal. Looks like you get to change that after you start playing rather than when you're setting the mode.
You have your first keeper ('trainer') battle with up to 5 monsters vs Will's 6.
Keeper battles are few but much more serious than wild battles, which become pretty routine once you’ve got a good team going. It’s easy to think you’re ready for a keeper battle but then you lose a monster (painfully aware of a couple moments where I could’ve lost two or three in one turn, if I hadn’t remembered oh yeah, MASS HEALING ITEMS) (I wonder how likely it is to end up with less than 3 monsters... that sounds like a game over scenario)
You can trade a set of rare items for an extra monster; it seems like a late game option. I just got one of those items and used it immediately to power up my Dracozul instead! so.... priorities...
According to the new game/mode screen, if all your monsters die, the save file unlocks all your monsters and permadeath is turned off. that's kinda nice for people who want that
