“Darling, it’s already nine! While I adore your resting face, I’d prefer to be the very first thing your bright eyes happen upon this special morning.”

Ever the romantic, Mona takes Valentine’s to its extreme. Before you’ve even awoken, she’s already matched your outfits for the day, intent for there to be splashes of pink, white, and red adorning you both from head to toe. Breakfast in bed is a must, and though you fear for your tastebuds - she follows the recipe. Flowers, chocolates, cards, gifts - anything you can imagine awaits you once you finally rise from your cell of slumber. After all, this is your perfect day and Mona’s already planned dinner and a murder party for you to solve together as you dine. In the evening, after you’ve had your fill, you’ll attend a couple’s painting class. Though she could instruct herself, she follows protocol, delighting in the shared drinks you two split and the paint spills you mark each other with.

“Oh…this? I painted it because it’s your favorite animal…right?”

Starting with a nice long walk around the park with his partner is an ideal start for Noel. Valentine’s isn’t about grand gestures, or trying to outdo one another. It’s about remembering the pleasure of each other’s comfort that tethered you two to begin with. However, something handmade from him to you isn’t off the table. The day will pass without hurry, the two of you spending hours at a local craft cafe, sampling treats and putting together trinkets for one another. When your crafts come to a close, you’ll pack up and pick-up some takeout that you’ll share while cuddling on the couch back home.

“Holy shit…my retinas are burning just looking at it. It’s perfect.”

Valentine’s, being a commercial holiday, is nothing more than an obvious capitalist scheme to Mary. So, why not indulge in the shopping fever to win over each other’s favor? Mary corrals you into an hour long shopping spree to start, the two of you picking out gifts secretly to surprise each other with later in the evening. Along the way, she’ll demand a fashion show…or a few, the two of you parading down the aisles in glitzy and gaudy outfits meant to shock any who pass your path. When the two of you are eventually kicked out, the two of you will rush home to find that Mary has planned an indoor picnic just for you. The rest of the night passes quickly as you feed each other treats, and take turns thinking about what kind of future you’d like to build together.

“Woah…almost feels like they based that riddle on us! Isn’t that strange?”

Vein + Valentine’s = flirtatious fun! There’s no better way to prove the strength of your relationship than putting it to the test in an Escape Room challenge Vein booked for the two of you. Expecting the space cowboy theme to come to a natural conclusion, you’re surprised that some of the clues needed to find the final prize involve riddles centered around your relationship and inside jokes. Though you press Vein, her lips are sealed. That is, until you find the final prize: a commissioned portrait of the two of you in your favorite game. To celebrate your victory thereafter, Vein takes you to her favorite local pizza joint. After all, you’ll need the energy for the arcade tonight. It’ll be an all out race to see who can win the grandest prize for the other.

“C’mon, sway with me.”

Valentine’s is guaranteed to be a late start for the two of you - and quite honestly you’d be lucky if Tempest opened his eyes before noon. But whenever he should manage to rise and conquer the day, Tempest is determined take you to a concert of your favorite artist that night. But if the date line-up isn’t in the cards, you can be damn sure he aims to surprise you good with the tickets at the dinner table. The dinner itself is relaxed, dim lit with a band in the back where you two can shoot the can. But when you’ve both had enough, you’ll stroll around the city, touring your favorite haunts, ending up at a pub at the end of the night, tipsy dancing to the songs playing through the speaker as you play pool and darts.

“Must we leave our sheets with such haste? I am but the moon, unready to separate from the sun who warms it.”

The virtues of Valentine’s are not lost on Sorin, nor the reason the holiday itself was created. But Sorin doesn’t yield to the standard expectations of the consumerism. There isn’t any need for showiness, time spent in your company is satisfying enough. The day will be spent indoor with activities Sorin has already prepared for the two of you. Cooking together, dancing to your shared songs, and cracking open a candle painting kit are just snippets of all they have planned for the two of you. The night ends, however, with the most elaborate surprise of all — a scavenger hunt, You search the halls of your hall, following the train of notes left by your love. When you finally reach the end, you happen upon a box filled to the brim with poems and other writings Sorin has penned to you.

Digital Monster X-evolution

If those janky Digimon World cutscenes were a whole movie, it'd be this. To be fair, I think outdated CGI has a lot more charm than a lot of the higher quality but soulless stuff they put out nowadays. Plot-wise it was nothing special, we've seen this plot a zillion times by now. They just injected it with some new gimmicks. I did find the main character charming enough. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing another attempt at an all-CGI movie as long as that didn't become the new default (slippery slope lol).

Although the plot of this film was really simple they managed to add some convoluted lore anyways...because Digimon. Just when I was thinking "that was confusing" I saw that this wiki has a 900 page long (not really lol) explanation/play-by-play. Of course they had to open the movie with Leomon dying (really?) Why is that a thing? I've never felt emotional seeing any Leomon die tbh lol

I think Dorumon and his digivolutions have really strong designs. His rookie form kinda looks like a furry version of Monodramon. I've been playing Digimon RPG (the MMO) and just by chance ended up with him as my partner (I actually thought I was getting Impmon lol). Fate!

Not a lot of levity here, the script took itself very seriously and the characters spent most of the film just being existential and talking about the meaning of life. Kinda heavy for a silly little monster battle film.

Legit got a little emotional when Dorumon was being bullied, but it's really easy to feel sad for a furry little creature

The CGI actually held up better than I thought it would for the most part, the mecha digimon especially looked awesome. The only "AH! KILL IT WITH FIRE!" moment was Andromon -shudder-

(Of course, Andromon is ugly in any form, but this is definitely his worst).

Weird seeing Omegamon vs. WarGreymon. I was also surprised to see Magnamon in the Royal Knights. He just seems more beast-like to me than the other knights.

Tokomon was one of those "is it cute or is it annoying?" baby characters. I'm leaning more towards cute, but there were moments where I was like "alright, that's enough of him" loi

Dorugamon kinda reminded me of Toothless. I wanna pet his big nose :3c

They just couldn't resist, they had to call something in this franchise "Yggradsil" didn't they

(They also used other Norse names, the same ones used in Ah! My Goddess).

The funky X-forms of digimon were fun, very angular. It reminds me of the newer Pokemon games how they keep adding new gimmicky forms. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of these. I guess in a way, this is a more realistic "evolution" since it has to do with the digimon reacting to their environment by developing antibodies.

I saw people complaining that Frontier only had two Royal Knights, well I guess they made up for it a bit here. Are they always gonna be working for the villain side? I wanna see a series where they're the heroes!

It was neat seeing Silphymon again. I get excited when 02 characters show up cuz it's kind of the underdog season in my mind.

The villain digimon (aside from the royal knights) weren't very well explained they just kinda showed up, caused havoc, then went away. The only reason why I have a name for any of them is cuz I read the wiki. I guess it would be hard to naturally fit in all the names...

The name "Alphamon" was kind of an eyeroll. They're running out of epic names lol. (Also, it just makes me think of alpha bros nowadays). The design is nice tho, it's got the black w/ gold highlights thing that I liked in Frontier.

At the end of the movie the digital world was destroyed and then restored (Frontier much?) It wasn't really clear what that meant for the digimon. Did they all just resurrect via digiegg? Were they recreated exactly as they were before the world's destruction? -shrug-

Pretty sad that this movie never got any love in the states. I wonder if there's a fandub out there somewhere.

Apparently Digimon World 4 is related to this movie so I'll be playing that next!

"If I were to suddenly disappear, would you notice?" With Mammon or Levi :3c

Haha, I think I may have gotten a bit carried away by this one. But here is my first "mini"-fic of the season~ To request a mini-fic, submit an ask with a character along with a word or phrase!

If I Disappear

You were attending yet another event in the Devildom, and honestly… you were getting a little tired of it all. You loved spending time with all of the boys, of course! You just didn’t understand why it seemed like there was some big event every other week! It was all a bit much, and you started to miss just hanging around and being lazy for a weekend.

It seemed like someone shared your feelings as you watched Levi slink out of the room and down the hall. Probably going to unwind before you snuck in for a late-night gaming and anime sesh. Maybe it was another one he wanted to prepare for! Get his room settled just the way he wanted with lights and decorations, prepare some snacks that were featured in the anime, or something like that. You loved it when you got to see him shine so happily and explain in minute detail what made each thing relevant. 

You had half a mind to follow him now, all the bodies filling the room and the endless chatter was starting to feel a bit claustrophobic. Unfortunately for you, every time you found yourself turning to the exit, another pair of excitable eyes fell on you. It seemed like an endless loop of getting dragged into conversations and dancing before you finally were able to slip through the heavy doors. 

With a relieved sigh, you scurried off to your home away from home and into your room. After an event like this, you knew it was unlikely that Levi would let you leave after a few mere hours, so you had to change into something a bit more comfortable. 

By the time you left your room, the sky was dark and the house was still silent. The rest of the boys must have found something that sparked their interests. You doubt they’d be back any time soon. Perfect for a lazy night with arguably the most jealous of the boys. It put a pep in your step you had been severely lacking earlier in the day.

You stepped up to Levi’s door, confused that the silence had followed you all the way here. Usually, he had something on as he got ready, and he had never once forgotten when the two of you had plans like this. You thought on it for a moment before quietly knocking, just letting him know that you were about to peek in.

You opened the door slowly, giving him time to say something if he needed to, but the room was pitch dark, only letting in the glow from the hallway and the ambient light scattered by the large tank making up the back of his room. 

It was just enough light to let you find the outline of Levi, sitting in his bathtub. It was a rare sight to see, him just sitting there. No controllers or manga in his hands, no catchy theme songs or bubbly character voices filling the air. It was an eerie scene, and if you weren’t so concerned, you may have just left Levi to his brooding. 

“Levi? It’s me… I’m coming in…” If he had responded at all, you didn’t hear it. You closed the door behind you, letting the softly tinted light of Henry’s tank lead you forward. 

“Levi?” You reached out carefully, trying to see in the low light if maybe he had his headphones on… but no, you swore your hand just brushed by them as you knelt next to his bathtub-bed. 

He gives a soft hum in acknowledgment this time, not looking your way. 

“What’s going on? Did you forget our plans? I’m surprised you’re not halfway through the TSL special again~” That usually perks him up, and you were down to watch it again if that meant it would get Levi out of this funk. 

“Would you…” his words start softly and fade so quickly, you can only catch a few words.

“What? I can’t hear you…” You lean in, trying to show him that you want to listen. 

“Would.. I-if..” he suddenly looks over at you, his eyes half-lidded and brimming with emotion. “If I were to suddenly disappear, would you notice?” Gone was your sweet, jealous boy with wide eyes that sparkled at the slightest mention of his interest, and left in his place was insecure, fearful Levi. It just about broke your heart, seeing the vulnerability he hides behind his otaku armor. 

“Are you serious? Of course, I would!” You follow your urge to climb into the bathtub with him, ignoring the way he tenses and sputters.

“W-what are you doing?! I sleep here! T-This is like climbing into a normie’s bed, you know!” The sad look hadn’t left his eyes, but color flamed on his cheeks. 

“Quiet!” You had tried to find a way to fit the both of you, but the positioning was awful. Luckily, Levi was so nervous about accidentally touching you that he raised his hands up by his face, giving you more than enough room to arrange yourself on his lap, looking straight at him. 

“I-I don’t understand! Why w-would you! You’re on my lap! On purpose?” Poor boy can’t keep up with all this, especially not with the way you’re grabbing his hands to lower them. You ignore all of that anyway and keep moving forward, wanting to make sure you address the question before anything else.

“Of course, I would notice. I did notice! I saw you leave earlier and I wanted to follow you. I tried to follow you, actually.”  His embarrassment was slowly morphed into confusion. 

“N-no, you didn’t! It took you forever to get here! And you were having so much more fun with everyone else than you do here!” You laughed, not realizing how mean that could come off. But it’s Levi, and he knows you. He’ll wait for an explanation, even if he feels his face heating up even further.

“I spent all day looking forward to this! I’m a little offended that you haven’t gotten anything ready… Seriously, I would have followed you out if I hadn’t gotten stopped like a thousand times.” You smiled as you watched him grow quiet. He needed to process what you had just said, and the way he was searching your face was letting you know he wanted to believe you.

“You really mean that? You’d rather sit in here with a stinky otaku than party with all those normies?” You pretended to think about that for a moment before sighing. 

“Yeah. As long as you stop talking like that, I thought we were past the whole normie vs. otaku thing. And if you get too stinky, I’ll just ban you to the tank~” You gave him a good-hearted laugh.

“Even if all we do is play dumb games and watch the same shows all the time?” You sighed and leaned forward, wrapping your arms around his neck. He didn’t know just how good that sounded to you.

“Especially if we play dumb games and watch the same shows~” You could almost feel him growing warmer underneath your touch.

“Did you mean to do that? Did you fall? Or slip?” His panic only makes you giggle, tightening your hold on him when you feel his hand brush against your back and pull away again.

“Yeah, I meant to. I want to cuddle with you. Maybe we can watch something too?” His hands finally settle on your back after he takes a deep breath. 

“Y-you can pick this time…” His voice shakes, but his touch becomes more confident, sliding his arms around you to hold you close. It gives him hope, being able to hold you like this. He knows for sure that not a single one of his brothers can take you from him as long as you keep this close.

What's Vault Hunters like? I've only really watched Hermitcraft. :'3c

alright! so, vault hunters! this is the modpack/unique mod that goes with the pack that iskall and his dev team are developing! the game is designed to be somewhat like an RPG level progression system and skill tree has been added to minecraft, as well as a roguelike dungeon system.

at the beginning, it's basically just regular minecraft with a few extra skills you've chosen and weaker armor. however, after you beat the ender dragon and get access to end materials, you can build your vault altar and vault portal, and visit the vaults, and start vault hunters proper! you "win" vault hunters, progression-wise, once you collect all 25 artifacts from the vaults and complete the "final vault" at the end of the modpack.

the vault is basically a roguelike dungeon. you cannot heal without using healing potions in the vault, and your goal is to get as much loot from the vault as you can, as well as find the obelisks and beat the boss to escape. (you can also choose to bail a vault if you don't think you can beat the boss, which is often what happens instead if the vault isn't locked. however, you need to defeat the boss to gain experience and get a chance at getting an artifact.) the vault is full of special vault gems, vault gear (which is funky armor with lots of different bonus effects), unique loot, the things you need to get points to unlock mods, and more. as you finish vaults, you'll gain items to help you level up, be able to get new skills, eventually start unlocking mods, etc.

there's also some like, background lore about the existence of the four vault gods, which i often rotate in my head, but also which is mostly background details to make the world of the modpack more interesting. the 'vault gods' refers interchangeably to the four characters who you gain favor with - idonna, wendarr, tenos, and velara - and to the devs of the modpack. (this puts iskall in an interesting position, given that he both plays the modpack and is in charge of dev. also, douwsky specifically is normally referred to as the janitor instead of a vault god.)

the vault hunters smp is a related thing. we're about to get season 3. it serves both as the beta testing ground for the vault hunters modpack and as a fun smp to watch some creators play on! i do not know exactly what set of people will be in S3; presumably hbomb, iskall, and captain sparklez will be there, as they all played on the original server pretty religiously. i would be surprised if pete isn't around again, stressmonster is doing a whole bootcamp series so she's definitely going to be around again, and tubbo is apparently the one who leaked the date (lol) so he may be trying to be more active in S3 than he was in S2. i'd be surprised if antonioash wasn't there as well he was also pretty dang active. uh. i'm not good at names so i'm DEFINITELY forgetting people who may be around in S3 but we will find out for sure when it comes out.

S3 will be the 1.18 version of vault hunters, which will be fun! additionally, it, like the previous two seasons, will presumably contain the twitch integration that went with progression in the SMP version of the modpack. (the public release does not have this integration.) it allowed viewers to end up involved in how things worked, and personally i thought it was pretty fun. stuff like "people who sub/gift subs getting statues" or sub fighters or basically anywhere there are skins present in the public release, there was some twitch integration element in the private, SMP version.

it's worth noting that S3/the 1.18 version of vault hunters is expected to have some pretty major changes from S2/the current public modpack in 1.16, as it's somewhat more of a 'sequel' than something you're expected to update your current worlds to. so i'm excited to see that!

the fastest way to figure it out if this doesn't explain it well for you would probably be to watch someone play in singleplayer, although that won't have the twitch integration stuff, so if you want to watch someone, here is iskall doing a playthrough (he knows what he's doing very well), here is welsknight doing a playthrough (he does NOT know what he's doing and it's relatable), and here's stressmonster doing a playthrough (somewhere between those two poles)!

Okay so this is a part 2 to @echoflare841's question because I quickly realized that this is gonna be one helluva mega post if I slapped it all into one post. You might wanna sit down for this one, and uh, if you wish to maintain your innocence and not develop a whole new infuriation towards Scholastic for being so damn slow with translations, then uh, this is your chance to leave and keep Pandora's box unopened, I'll see you when my brainrot allows me to actually do something ^^. Scholastic currently has five of the Thea Stilton series translated to English for us to consume, and that's 36 books in the main series, 19 books (on paper) in the Mouseford series, 9 special editions, the Treasure Seekers trilogy, and four Classic Tales. (The graphic novels were released by Papercutz, a company independent of Scholastic.) Now, if we're gonna tally up EdiPiemme's arsenal of Thea Stilton books (and I do mean arsenal), one thing you're gonna have to remember is that Thea Stilton itself is a franchise, not a series. Yes, the Thea Sisters are the spotlight in most of these, but there are some series that fall under the Thea Stilton franchise that are rather different and simply are an extension of the Geronimo Stilton Literary Universe.

Anyway so with that, this is what EdiPiemme has in Thea Stilton books, as of 2023:

5 Secret Diaries, just some extra content in the form of a diary all five girls share. Stuff about their lives you don't get to see in adventures that much, and it's cute :D

5 Secrets of the Thea Sisters -- i-it's just five kids' activity books but Thea Sister-themed and also some lore

3 books in Sirene, which is a fantasy thing where the Thea Sisters find a magic link in Whale Island that leads to a mermaid kingdom :D if you felt clickbaited by the special editions because they don't actually have the girls become fairies or something, then Sirene actually has them turn into mermaids for their time in the Cobalt Kingdom :D

23 books in Incanto-- it's a KoF spinoff that follows a group of KoF princesses and princes trying to save it from uh big baddies :D

3 books in Three Girls in the Court of King Arthur, once again another spinoff that circles around three lady knights in King Arthur's court hoping to save the world from Morgana and her mysterious Silent Knight

3 Adventures Through Time, yes the girls get to travel back in time, but it's more magic than science and there's an emphasis on some historical girlbosses

6 Stars Academy books

2 books in The Roses and the Spades, which is a sequel to TGitCoKA

1 SuperSisters book, which is basically a superhero book for the Thea Sisters so they can kick ass and stop having villains roll nat20s in intimidation--

2 Cases in Progress, an ongoing series where the girls are investigating some funky cases detected by an algorithm Paulina's invented that searches the internet space for funky anomalies and weird shnit to investigate

1 book in Spectralia, where three hooman girls get Jumanji-ed into a board game and they gotta Jumanji their way outa there, I only learned about this just now while doing research and it's an interesting premise :3c

And I think that's it? There's one choose-your-adventure type thing where you get to investigate with the girls on a case relating to a crown, but that's about it I think. I dunno, EdiPiemme and the Thea Sisters' blog's catalogues have been a mess since they updated the visuals on both, so I unfortunately can't say for sure if I got all of them or if I missed one because my original sources missed them, but eh. Anyway uh, hope you have fun with this new knowledge :'D

Right. Okay. Here's one I bet you didn't know.

The Heroes' Relics

There are actually Buddha relics irl. Buddha actually instructed his followers to cremate his body and then distribute his remains (relics) to his disciples when he died, all of a single clan. But six other clans and a King appeared and demanded the ashes. And so his ashes was split into 8 to avoid conflict.

These 8 portions were then distributed to his followers. Then 2 more pieces went out as relics. One being the vessel in which the body was cremated, and the remaining ashes from the funeral pyre.

So, count that up and we have... 10! Duhn duhn duuuhn!

If you remember, there were the 10 elites, and Nemesis, the bandit king who killed Sothis to use her body parts as weapons.

Sothis is also visibly isolated in a void when we see her. She has essentially attained nirvana and is free from the cycle of rebirth until Byleth goes knock knock on her door. Buddha has also attained nirvana and will not reincarnate. So on, so forth -- Sothis is basically Buddha in this case.

Now these relics were placed into reliquaries, a miniature version of urns. Stupas are essentially burial mounds, and those 8 constructed their own stupas to house these reliquaries in.

Dome, mounds... Hills... Hrm. If it was gathered in one place it'd sound a little like Garreg Mach wouldn't it? Actually, come some time later, that is exactly what happened. A king went around gathering them, housed it one stupa, and then redistributed them into as many as 84,000 relics later.

Anyway, these bottom images aren't the actual reliquaries or stupas, it's just here to give you a visual sense of what they look/feel like.

I put them there bc those original Stupas made by his followers were already in ruins come a few centuries later by Chinese pilgrims' accounts. Every one, except for one Ramagrama stupa which still exists today:

But wait, some might be thinking: "There are more than 10 weapon relics in 3H if you count. According to the fan wiki, it's at a total of 18. That doesn't quite add up."

Well, surprise! This actually doesn't contradict bc apart from those original 10, there are relics such as the Buddha tooth and hair housed all over the world if we ignore redistribution of the ashes. Not kidding, there's even some in US right now. Check this wiki link for a basic read up on the Buddha relics. Authenticity of the whole claim beside, it's very something lol.

Sothis was effectively placed in multiple coffins and kept in a burial tomb as well. The original 10 elites coincides with the original 10 Buddha relics, and Heroes' Relics number matches up with the possibly smaller bits popping up over time here and there all over the world.

And that's about it for the Heroes' Relics.

Warriors: 3H

Shez is basically an Ashura. Ashuras are neither inherently evil or good, but they love to pick a fight with Devas, and are therefore associated with war. Ranking wise, they are lower than Devas.

Warriors, war, it's a whole game about war. Plus, Shez comes with a special class named.... Ashura.

Byleth as I stated in my Avatar rambling before, is somewhat related to Devas. Even if in 3H Warriors they don't strictly qualify to have an association with Devas here, it's worth noting that the writers might be just going insane again (/affectionate).

Either way, canonically it seems like Shez is sore/angry after losing their entire mercenary band at Byleth's hands at the start of the game. I say seems, bc the game lets the player interpret if they truly hate or are angry at Byleth by killing them, or just letting it go and therefore letting Byleth live.

Which also then bounces off the idea of hate/anger being one of the Three Poisons. If you decide to kill, or let Byleth die, you will be locked into bad endings of every route.

Letting Byleth live nets the better ending in every route.

At this point I'm just hunkering down at my desk trying to get myself to relax

My birth name was something my mother had written in her bible since before I was even a consideration, that's all I know? Could be yes could be no. Was taught early not to ask questions at home~

My current name was sort of given to me by my characters back when we used to talk far more than we do now, so no there too.

A surprising number, considering I was Very Large up until I moved to Japan after Uni. (Then again, I was forced to during my youth, as though making me do something I hated and felt terrible would magically make me healthier somehow~)

Baseball, soccer, wrestling, cross country (distance running), track and field (discus, shot put, 50m), volleyball, tennis, rugby, road cycling.

I actually got into cycling thanks to a family bike shop in Japan not treating me like a gross tub of lard and inviting me to join their local club and ride with them on weekends after I went to them for a bike that would actually support my weight. Turned out I liked it so much (and had enough talent in it) that I ended up losing about 50kg and going semi-pro.

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?

Oh boyyyyyy. Though it fluctuated at times into the ranges I expected, the amount of love my Shadowidoyussa series has gotten has been surprising and really heartening! I did not expect to latch onto the OT3 as hard as I did and I'm really happy so many folks enjoyed my brainrot. I have plans to carry that series into the new year and I hope that enthusiasm carries over too :3

10. What work was the quickest to write?

Oh that's hard, given how much longer it's taken me to write certain pieces this year. I am going to say and i give you my heart, the Goldenshadow (Yussa/Essek) vampire AU I wrote for Halloween this year. If I remember correctly, I wrote that in pretty much one sitting during one night of writing games.

15. What WIP are you taking into the new year with you?

So. Many. First and foremost, this endless starry expanse, which sadly I only managed to update twice this year. Next year will mark two years (time is the weirdest fucking soup, my friends) since I started it and I am sincerely hoping I'm able to finish it during 2024. Aside from that, the SWM Royalty AU is far from over, my SWY series as I mentioned before, a very special prequel to that series, a new series that I haven't talked about yet, various other assorted ficlets. MY WIP folder is bottomless XD

20. Which work of yours have you reread the most?

I would say this one is a tough one, but it's of blossoming hearts and glittering souls, easily. Writing the final chapter required a lot of rereading to keep it consistent, for one. And it's also, quite frankly, designed to be a comfort fic for myself. Non-stop fluffy nonsense with some dashes of minor angst on the side, so much flirting and teasing and silliness and love. I'm also just super proud of how it turned out, the last behemoth of a chapter especially, and it's nice to bask in that.

25. Did you receive any gifts this year?

As of answering this ask, I have not. Yet. We've got a day to go still and there might be things at work within the Soup Server :3

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

I am either capable of writing short and (sometimes) sweet ficlet or utter fucking behemoths and there is NO middle ground. blossom's last chapter was thirty thousand words. Contrast that with how many of my fics are less than a thousand. It's absurd! Utterly absurd! I wouldn't change it for the world but I do find it very funny XD

(but yes, the general story around the suburb is just that Alex has a medical condition that results in extreme sun sensitivity)

Alex does canonically possess a conspiracy-theory-looking murder pinboard for planning for and researching its targets. Alex used to use a notebook but Quinn was like "no no no where's your DRAMA where's your PIZZAZZ your AESTHETIC you MUST let me help you make a murder pinboard" and Alex decided it would allow this (it seemed like appropriate enrichment for its chaotic best friend and might keep them out of trouble for a bit)

A-Polly LOVES affection they crave it to the point they're pretty codependent on their mates. They have 0 issue with PDA.
