synopsis : things were always rocky for conrad and you. after the whole break up, will everything be the same the year later? or will it all turn to shit.

I hated him. Hated him with all the hate I had in my body. He made me hate Cousins as well.

Every year, my mom would send me away off to Cousins beach where I would stay with her best friend Susannah and her two sons, Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. I had easily bonded with the two of them, and then gotten in a relationship with Conrad. The Conklins would be there as well. Belly and Steven.

Conrad and Steven were 17, while Jeremiah, and I were all 16(turning 17 soon), but I was older than him by a few months, and Belly was 15, turning 16 soon.

He fucked it all up. He couldn't commit to one relationship, and we all knew that, yet he told me he would and I believed him.

Again, my mom sent me to them for the summer. I thought she wouldn't knowing the whole debacle that had happened the year prior.

"Mom, I really don't think it's a good thing if I go." I said to her as I sat at the kitchen counter.

"C'mon Y/N, Susannah misses you, and I'm sure Belly would like to see you as well." My mom said.

I groaned in annoyance.

I loved seeing everyone in Cousins, don't get me wrong. When I was there it felt like all of my worries were away. But now after the breakup, I just thought of everything that could go wrong this summer.

The plane ride was six hours to Cousins from California and it took 30 minutes to get from the airport to the Fishers house. The whole time my mind raced on what would happen as soon as I stepped through the doors.

"Hi, I'm home." I said awkwardly loudly as I stepped through the door that was unlocked.

It was normal for the doors to be unlocked. Everyone knew each other in Cousins, and everyone basically was only there for the summer.

Throughout the house I heard a mixture of footsteps and gasps, people saying, "Y/N?", "Y/N is here?"

The first people to approach was Susannah and Laurel, coming out of the kitchen with a beautiful floral maxi dress.

"Oh my god, look at you! You've always been beautiful, but honey, look at you" Susannah said as she grabbed ahold of my cheeks before giving me a hug.

"I think I like the same" I chuckled.

"You do not look the same... You're growing up. You're in bloom."

Savannah had a way to say things. I loved it about her.

She let go as Laurel squeezed through, hugging me.

"Why didn't you tell us you were coming early?" Laurel asked.

I laughed a little, "I wanted it to be a surprise."

"Y/N!" I heard an excited voice say.

I watched as Jeremiah's body came sliding down the railing. He was in a white wife beater tank top and a pair of bright tropical shorts.

"Jere!" I exclaimed, opening my arms for him to run into.

Jeremiah and Conrad were brothers, but they couldn't be more different. Jeremiah was this energetic outgoing person, while Conrad was... well, he was Conrad...

"How have you been Y/N/N?" He asked as we both let go.

"A lot better, and you Mr. Fisher?" I asked jokingly.

From behind Susannah and Laurel, I could see long brown hair.

"Belly?" I questioned.

"Oh my god, Y/N!" She squealed, running up to me.

"You're absolutely so beautiful." I stated.

"No you are." She said back. We could've gone on and on about who was more beautiful, that was until he came.

I looked up and was met with Conrad's bright blue fucking eyes. He stared straight at me from the top of the stairs.

Conrad took a breath, "Hi, Y/N."

"Hi, Conrad..." I responded.

"Yo, Conrad! Y/N is here!" I heard Steven's voice from upstairs.

All of us laughed a little as we saw Steven make his way to the banister. His face was full of surprise as he saw me.

"She's actually here!" He said, running down to greet me.

All of us kids went outside to the pool. Belly wore a cute purple bikini as I wore a blue one.

The house was for us, and our moms. Not for our dads. My mom rarely showed up. She only showed up for important events because she had a lot of work, but there were some years where she stayed.

"You're absolutely stunning." I said to Belly as we rested by the wall in the pool.

She laughed, "I look the exact same as last year."

"No. You look so much different!" I said to her.

"Well, look at you! you have new hair, new body, new attitude!" She said excitedly. "Do I have to get broken up with for this glow up?"

We both laughed at her statement.

"Should we mess with the boys a little?" Belly asked.

"Yeah, I think we should." I said, a smile growing on my face. "Ow! Jeremiah! Help! I think I sprained my ankle!" I yelled to the curly headed boy.

He came to me as soon as he could, sticking out his hand as I stuck out mine.

"Sorry." I said, a smile on my face. I watched as his face faltered though, as he realized what had happened.

I yanked the poor boy into the water, fully clothed.

He came up, splashing at the water.

"Y/N!" He yelled.

I got out of the pool. "I'm gonna head inside for a bit." I said to the group.

"Hi, sweetie." Susannah said as I closed the glass door.

"Hi!" I said to Susannah and Laurel as I sat at the island in the middle of the kitchen.

God I loved the kitchen. It was a beautiful green and white. I loved this house in general though, it was a gorgeous house.

"She's so beautiful." I watched Susannah mouth to Laurel.

"I know." Laurel mouthed back.

I only laughed at the two. I loved their relationship. I honestly wish I had a relationship like that when I got older.

"You should call you mom and tell her you got here okay." Susannah said as she finished chopping up the fruit.

"Oh, yes you're right. I told her I would call her and I got distracted." I laughed.

I finished calling her and returned to Susannah and Laurel.

"Is she coming for the Fourth?" Susannah asked.

"Yes, she would never miss it for anything."

"Oh, Y/N, I finished getting your room set up, if you wanna go unpack now, you can." Susannah said, giving me a smile.

I gave her a smile back, "Thank you, Susannah, I love you."

"Love you too!" She responded.

"I love you, Laurel!" I said, adding a laugh. I heard her and Susannah laugh before she responded as well.

I loved my room at the Fisher's. It had beautiful white walls with high ceilings. As well as a gorgeous large window. My bed was perfectly made as well, and I had white sheets with dark blue flowers.

Most of the accents on the walls were dark blue as well. I could tell Susannah had done some work on my room since the last time I was here.

I began unpacking while looking at everything I had left from last summer. A stuffed white polar bear was on my bed and it had a little navy blue bow tie. Oh god how the memories flooded.

A knock at my door brought me back, "Come in!" I shouted.

"Come on! Let's go to the beach before dinner... please. " Belly said as she bounced onto my bed.

"I still have a bunch to unpack, Bells." I said to the girl, "And don't you have to go with your mom to Whale of a Tale?"

"I'll just skip it." She said, her face with a large smile. "Pleaseeeee."

"Okay, okay! We can go." I said to her.

She squealed excitedly, "Okay! I'll meet you down!"

I laughed quietly as I grabbed a new swimsuit. This one was a blue and white bikini and I loved it.

I saw Susannah and Laurel down in the kitchen.

"Laurel, I'm so sorry I'm stealing Belly, but we were gonna go swimming and I know you have Whale of a Tale today bu-" I rambled.

"It's okay, I'll go with her." Susannah said, a large smile forming on her face.

"You want to race?" I asked Belly as we stood in the sand.

"No, I can't possibly keep up with you, you're always running, I see on your stories." She joked.

Before I knew it, the girl had sprinted, dropping her towel and flip flops.

"Cheater!" I shouted and laughed as I too dropped my things, running to go after her.

"Steven, I swear to god, look at that phone one more time and it's going in the screen basket." Laurel said as we ate dinner.

Belly and I looked at each other before laughing.

I was crammed in between Jeremiah and Conrad, and it was interesting. I avoided Conrad as much as I could.

"It's just, we want to see your beautiful faces." Susannah said as she smiled at all of us which made Belly and I laugh even harder.

Steven continued to go on his phone, doing god knows what. I watched as Jeremiah snatched it from across the table and threw it in the basket that was on the other side of the room.

"Dude, are you kidding me?" Steven said in disbelief.

Jeremiah on the other hand was cheering for himself, "Boom, Nailed it!"

"We get it, you've been working out." Steven said.

"Someones jealous about Jere having a nicer body..." Belly and I said in sync.

Conrad hadn't said anything at all during dinner, and I knew people could feel the tension.

"Aren't you leaving for training camp soon?" I asked Conrad, turning to him.

Susannah cut in, "Uh... he quit football."

All of us looked at Conrad in shock. He was good at football and not only that, but he was going to do college football.

"He can always change his mind though." Susannah said, as she grabbed a bread roll.

"I'm not changing my mind." Conrad said, no emotion whatsoever. "I'll just sit on the bench anyways."

"Well, if you're not playing football anymore, what are you gonna do all summer?" Laurel asked.

Steven shot up in surprise, "Oh, dude, you can work at the club with me and Jere."

Conrad shook his head no though.

"Wait, you guys are working this summer?" Laurel asked in disbelief.

Jeremiah began talking, "Yeah, I'm lifeguarding and Steven's working in the snack shop."

Something seemed to spark in Susannah as well as she began rummaging through things.

"Oh Y/N and Belly! I almost forgot. I have a surprise for the two of you."

Two envelopes were in Susannah's hands. One addressed to Belly and the other addressed to me.

"What.. uhm. What is that?" Laurel stuttered.

"I got them both invitations to be a debutante." Susannah said proudly

There were a bunch of comments being made about the whole debutante ball and about Belly, but I zoned it all out, staring at the invitation.

"Y/N." Susannah's voice said, bringing me out of my state.

"Hm?" I asked.

She motioned to the envelope.

"Oh, yeah, I'll think about it..."

I walked up the stairs to the hall with all of the kids rooms. God, you could hear Steven belting to As the World Caves In.

I don't know how I was gonna do anything with him singing so loudly, so I grabbed a red bikini and changed into it, grabbing a towel and heading outside.

Of course, Conrad was sitting out there, but instead his feet were dipped in the water and he had a joint in his mouth.

I felt his gaze on me as I put my towel down and jumped into the cold water. I stayed under for two minutes before going back up for air.

"Wasn't sure if you were trying to drown yourself or not." Conrad said blatantly.

"Glad to see you wouldn't help even if I was." I said to the brunette sarcastically. "And I thought you said smoking pot was bad for you."

"Never said that." He stated.

"Pass." I said, motioning towards the joint in between his fingers.

"No." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes at him. And I still hated him.

"Hey, are you actually thinking about doing the debutante thing?" Conrad asked after a few minutes.

"Don't know, don't know why you would care either." I shot back at him.

"Why are you acting so different?" Conrad scoffed.

"You should be asking yourself that same thing." I said to the boy.

"Y/N, I know you." Conrad tried to say.

"Yeah? Do you?"

Before he could respond a scream was heard with the glass door being slid open.

"First bonfire of the summer!" Jeremiah's voice screamed. I heard Steven laugh and another set of footsteps.

"Can I come too?" It was Belly.

"Wait, I wanna go." I added in.

The boys looked at Belly and I.

"Uh no." Steven said.

I mean it, Steven is the most dramatic boy I have ever met.

"The moms are getting everything set up for your movie night." Jeremiah said to Belly and I.

The boys said their various goodbyes before running off.

Belly had grabbed my towel for me to dry off and the two of us went inside.

"Brownies are going in!" We heard Susannah say.

"Got put the DVD in please." Laurel said to us.

"I actually have a headache, I think I'm just gonna go to sleep early. It's been a busy travel day." I said to Laurel and Susannah.

"Aw, alright, honey. Goodnight, love you." Susannah said as she kissed my forehead. I gave Laurel a hug before walking up the stairs.

I turned around though, making eye contact with Belly and winking at her. She nodded in response. We had an idea.

As soon as I heard Belly's door close, I ran to her room with an assortment of clothing.

"Hi Taylor!" I said to the blonde on the phone.

"Hi Y/N!" She responded.

I changed in the corner of Belly's room as her and Taylor were discussing their new drama. They always added me in on new things going in which I appreciated.

"Oh my god, Taylor, Y/N's outfit is so cute." Belly said as she dragged me in the camera frame.

I was wearing a green flowy tube top that was sheer at the stomach and had a floral design with orange and pink colors. As well as a short white mini skirt.

"Belly, what's that pink thing in your bag?" I asked, pointing to a hot pink strap.

"That's the surprise!" Taylor shouted through the phone.

Belly pulled it out, revealing a short hot pink dress.

"Oh my god." Belly and I said in unison.

Belly laughed, "No way in hell. And won't you be able to see my underwear in that?"

"Wear a thong." I suggested.

Belly had gone into this rant about how unhygienic thongs are how they're basically flossing your butthole which Taylor and I laughed at.

Belly and I somehow sneaked past the moms as they watched their movie. I'm surprised they never saw us walk past them, but there was a mix of crying and laughter while watching the movie.

We walked to the beach, which was actually quite long considering the beach was our backyard, but they were further down.

As we made it closer, we could see a bonfire and here loud music.

"I'm gonna kill Taylor." Belly mumbled to me which made me laugh.

"Yo, gas station girl!" A man called out. We both turned our attention and he looked at least 20...

"You've gotten yourself a treat." I said, winking at her before walking away.

"Where you coming from?" The guy asked. I'll just say it. He was a weirdo.

"We just came from another party." I said, breaking in. Belly looked like she was gonna pass out.

"Sweet. Hey, take my beer." He said as he kept pushing his beer onto Belly.

She kept rejecting the beer, but he continued to insist.

"Got a boyfriend back home? Either of you?" He asked

I watched and spotted Steven in the crowd, but Belly seemed to have gotten to his name first.

"Steven!" She called out.

"What are you guys doing here?" He asked, looking at us. His eyes stayed on Belly for longer though, "And what the fuck are you wearing?"

Sadly, the gas station guy jumped in, "I invited her. So who the fuck are you?"

"I'm her brother and she's 15 you pedo." Steven snapped.

Belly stammered, "I-I'm almost 16."

I shot her a glare, knowing we were already in deep trouble.

I watched as Belly and Steven got into their little argument as he moved her away. God this was gonna be an embarrassing night.

She had tripped over something, I'm not even sure what, and fell and ate dirt...

I ran towards the poor girl who just fought back at my arms.

"Belly, it's me." I said to her calming her down.

I looked over to see Conrad standing with a girl who looked at Belly and I. Well everyone looked at Belly and I, but not as long as Conrad did.

"I thought you hated the Red Sox." I said to the brunette as. He had a Red Sox baseball cap on.

"Who are you?" The girl next to him asked.

"Who are you?" I asked her.

"Nicole, Conrad and I went to the deb ball last summer."

It felt like someone had stabbed me throughout my whole body. Like I was heartbroken again.

"Didn't you say that deb balls are bullshit and debs are sheep?" I asked Conrad.

"I didn't..." Conrad said, but I knew he wanted me to shut up.

"I hate you so much. Go fuck someone." I said to Conrad before walking off. Belly had already walked off before.

"You're an asshole, Y/N." Conrad shouted back.

I sat in the sand close to the water. Belly sat with me as well.

"I hate them, they're absolutely dicks." I said to her, throwing a rock into the water.

She didn't say anything, only hummed in response.

I watched out of the corner of my eye a boy tapping Belly's shoulder, "Flavia?

"Hi?" Belly questioned as she looked at me and him.

"It's me, Sextus."

"What did you just say to us?" I asked.

He stammered, "no, no, no, Sex-tus. From your seventh grade Latin Convention" He pointed to Belly.

I looked at Belly raising an eyebrow, seeing if this guy was normal. She nodded slowly.

I got up from the sand, brushing it off and walking to the other side of the campfire with not much light. I wanted to give Belly her night.

The water was cold as it reached my ankles. It was cold out and I could tell that I should've brought a jacket.

There was a lot of noise and rants coming from behind, but I didn't look, not until I saw Conrad's figure.

fuck. what did he get himself into.

I walked closer to the fight as someone had pushed Conrad and I was hit in the head with his elbow.

"Fuck." I grunted as I put a hand to my forehead.

"Are you okay?" I felt Jeremiah's arms around me.

"Cops! Cops!" I heard people yell.

Jeremiah had opened the door to his car for me, "You okay to buckle yourself up?"

"Yeah." I responded, holding ice to my head that they had used in a cooler.

"Okay, because Conrad's a big baby when he's drunk." Jeremiah muttered.

I saw Belly walking with the same guy, he didn't seem rude or anything, but we needed to get home.

"Belly, come on get in the car!" I yelled out to her.

"Cam can get me a ride home, right, Cam?" Belly asked the guy next to her.

He nodded eagerly "Yes, yes I can."

Jeremiah stepped into the conversation, "No, you're not getting into a car with someone you just met."

Cam held out his hand, "I'm Cam. Cameron."

"Your name is Cam Cameron?" I asked jokingly.

"No, it's j-just Cam, but we actually know each other from the Latin convention in 7th grade." He explained.

"Okay, no offense, but no, Belly, get in the car." Jeremiah ordered.

Cam, scratched the back of his head, "Um you should probably get into the car... but the whaling boat that I'm interning on leaves the dock at dawn every morning, so I was wondering you'd wanna come." He stuttered over some of his words, obviously flustered.

Belly laughed a little, "Uh yeah, yes. I mean how else will you get your hoodie back?"

It was absolutely so cute how flustered the two were with one another.

Jeremiah started the engine and then turned it off, "Fuck, Steven! Belly come with me, and Y/N, watch Conrad, we'll be right back."

He shut the door and with that I was left with a drunk passed out Conrad.

I felt as he touched my hair, "Your hair is always like a little kids, it's always a bit messy." Conrad said in awe.

I grabbed my hair back, putting it on my chest.

A knock on the window and a flashlight shown on my eyes made me already want to kill myself even more.

"Have you kids been drinking?" An officer asked. And at that moment. I knew we all fucked up.

"Officers, thank you for bringing them all home. I promise you it won't happen again."

The officers were let out and I never thought I would see Laurel angry, ever.

"How could you guys be so irresponsible?" Laurel asked as she looked at all of us.

Steven talked first, "Mom, it's not that big of a deal, it was a mistake. And the cops were looking to break up the bonfire either way."

"You don't think this is a big deal, Steven? The cops picked you guys up for underage drinking, that's a pretty big deal, Steven."

Laurel scoffed at us, "Were you guys smoking?"

"What?" Conrad asked loudly.

"Keep your voice down, Susannah's asleep on the couch." Laurel scolded.

"Just so you know Laurel, I didn't drink tonight... I was the DD, I swear." Jeremiah said, raising his hands up in defense.

She ignored his comment though, turning straight to Conrad.

"You're the oldest, what the hell has gotten into you recently?" She questioned them.

I had never been so scared in my life.

"And you two, since when did you guys ever leave the house without telling anyone? And what the hell are you wearing, Belly?"

"It's Taylor's. And why aren't Y/N and I allowed to go out?" Belly asked.

"It isn't that you guys aren't allowed to go out, of course you are, but you didn't tell us. How didi you guys even get there?"

"We walked..." I mumbled.

The rest of the five minutes we spent yelling quietly and arguing with one another.

Laurel sighed, "Just go to bed you guys."

She held back Conrad and I, "I know you both are going through things and you can always talk to me, but please, tell me what's going on."

"Nothing." I said before he could even answer. I moved past her hand, walking upstairs off to my room.

The silence in my room was interrupted not long after with a knock. I sighed as I opened the door. Conrad stood there, which I didn't expect at all.

"Hi." I said.

It was awkward... "You know you're gonna have a black eye tomorrow, right?"

"Yeah, and it's already tomorrow." I responded.

He nodded awkwardly, beginning to walk over to his room.

"Hey, do you remember anything that happened last night?" I asked. "Never mind, you were pretty wasted."

"I always remember everything when I drink."

I sat on the beach and I just kept replaying the events of the night before. God it made it seem like I liked Conrad Fisher again, which I didn't. Because I couldn't.

Speaking of Conrad, he had come behind me, smoking a joint.

"Let me have a puff." I said to him.

"No."

"Why?"

"My mom and Laurel would actually murder me."

"Fine. Since I can't smoke, then you can't either." I stated.

Conrad sighed, "Why do you even care?"

"It's bad for you. Just because we broke up doesn't mean I won't look for your best interest."

"Hey, let's go pick up some of the good muffins before everybody else gets up."

I just stared at Conrad.

"This summers going to be different. I'm sorry." I said to him, walking off towards the house.

Color Psychology & Venus

Color psychology: "a popular area of color theory that assigns emotional and psychological connotations between colors and emotions" (via)

Here, I will be associating Venus signs with colors using color theory. The colors I choose for each placement is solely based on my opinion, combined with the psychology behind them and the effect they have on our emotions.

This post can be interpreted in a lot of different ways. Venus represents beauty, art, aesthetic, attraction, and so much more. You could interpret this as; what colors you should wear in order to attract love, what color you should paint your bedroom, what color makes me think of your sign, what color should your aesthetic be or what color your aesthetic reminds me of. It's up to you.

Depending on how you want to interpret this, don't be afraid to check out what color your Sun, Moon, or Rising sign is too. If you disagree or dislike my opinion then that's okay, after all it’s just an opinion. You know yourself best and this only based on a few placements :)

Aries Venus - I associate people with Aries as their Venus sign with the color Amber. The color Amber and Aries Venus share a lot of similar traits; they are both energizing, bold, and both are associated with frustration and anger. Like Aries Venus, Amber attracts people who are friendly and fun-loving. This color can really light up a room and bring out the happier side of people, just like this placement.

Taurus Venus - This Venus placement shares similar traits with the color Fuchsia. Fuchsia inspires confidence, maturity, and assurance. Similar to Taurus Venus, Fuchsia tends to be more responsible and has a naturing and loving undertone. You can pair this color with Lime Green to bring out its playful side or keep it sophisticated by pairing it with shades of tan or gray. People with Fuchsia as their favorite color are usually people that believe in living life from their own viewpoint rather than doing what other people say they should.

Gemini Venus - Gemini Venus natives are known to be inquisitive and outgoing in relationships and they're known to seek out experiences. Gemini Venus are extroverted and energetic, and are always down for an adventure. Like the color, Chartreuse. Similar to this color, if used in abundance it can trigger anxious emotions. People who are attracted to Chartreuse are known to be creative, positive, and have the ability to make friends effortlessly.

Cancer Venus - I associate this placement with the color Lilac. Lilac is connected to femininity and represents the ability to be caring, nurturing, helpful, and emotional. Like Lilac, Cancer Venus has the ability to soothe and calm their friends, family, and partners which can be attributed to their connection with motherhood. Both Lilac and Cancer Venus are arguably the most compassionate and mindful of all.

Leo Venus - Leos, being a fixed fire sign at their core, remind me of the color Maroon. Maroon, like Leo, is distinct and has a lot of personality. We all know Leo Venus goes after what they want, whether that be in love or with material things. They're bold and confident especially in love. Similarly, Maroon is known for being passionate and confident. But it comes with a warning; spending too much time with the color Maroon can lead to high blood pressure and adrenaline...

Virgo Venus - Virgo Venus people have a reputation for being serious in love and their mutable energy brings variety to who they pair well with. These natives can be very private people which can make them hard to get to know fully, unless they want you to know them fully. Nonetheless, Virgo Venus is reliable in love and appreciates practicality and maturity. That's why this placement reminds me of the color Gray.

Libra Venus - When I read the psychology of the color Champagne, I knew it belonged to Libra Venus. The color of celebration, class, and love. Libra is naturally ruled by Venus but with this specific placement, it only intensifies the Venusian qualities. That's why the color Champagne is perfect for these natives. Champagne is often associated with loved-filled occasions; weddings, Valentine's Day, anniversaries, and New Years. Champagne is the color of endearment and intimacy.

Scorpio Venus - I feel like the only color to really embody Scorpio Venus people is Ebony, the color of sophistication and mystery. Ebony is not only linked to maturity and fertility, but is a very powerful spiritual color. Like this color, there's no denying Scorpio Venus and their intensity in love. They are devoted, sexy, and share an elegance that's loved by many, especially royalty.

Sagittarius Venus - Sagittarius Venus people are loved by many because they're optimistic, generous, and confident. Being ruled by Jupiter, success and prosperity follows Sagittarius placements wherever they go. The color Gold was made for Sagittarius Venus. Gold is perky, positive, and bold. Even though they both can be a little flashy, they also have another side to them. Gold and Sagittarius, in any placement, is often associated with spiritual and religious connotations.

Capricorn Venus - Stability, wisdom, and reliability all come to mind when I think of Capricorn Venus. These traits are also associated with the color Brown. JUICE + SHY GN!READER HEADCANON

First ever headcanon, and this really pushed me out of my comfort zone! Juice is a character that I'm still learning and shy characters are always a little tough for me in these universes. Honestly would love anyone else to drop in any additional thoughts because this one really got me thinking through so many scenarios on how things would play out with these two :) Headcanon is under the cut!

FIRST MEETING:

Juice isn’t exactly the most outspoken or outgoing either, so the process from meeting you to dating you takes time. Slow burn for suuuuuure.

I think it’d start out with Juice being more shy than the reader for sure but your shyness is what draws him to you. You’re also not exactly jumping out of your seat to talk to him either, but to you, you’re just ignoring him while Juice is being shy to you.

You’re the opposite of his life right now. The club is rowdy and chaotic and you were calm and observant.

There’s tons of stolen glances whenever he gets the chance when you’re around. His eyes jump away in seconds the minute you catch him looking at you. Whether it’s peeking over his laptop, or fully staring at you when he catches you downtown.

Those glances would eventually turn to awkward smiles, the occasional wave or head nod.

When he gets the nerve to actually come and talk to you, there’s a lot of fumbling on his words until he realizes you’re just as nervous as him and it somehow makes him feel a little less nervous.

Just enough that in some fiddly way he manages to ask you out and you agree.

The first date is a lot of him asking you questions because you’re still very reserved. A lot of what are your favorite things; food, movies, places to go, where do you work, do you like it. Just trying to learn more about you.

He goes off on a lot of tangents about tech, it’s what he knows and loves so it just comes easy to him. You take it all in, every word, picking up on the details in what he’s saying and what he’s not.

You definitely bring things up that he’s said earlier and it drives him mad. Someone who pays attention to the things he’s saying? That’s new.

Somewhere along the conversation you mentioned something about your car and he eagerly offered to fix it for you at TM which ultimately solidified your second date.

It’s obvious you’re a fish out of water at Teller-Morrow. Your voice is comparable to a mouse in comparison to all the guys, club and mechanics combined.

While trying to explain to Chucky and then Piney that one of the guys said they could help you out, Juice appears with the biggest grin on his face when he sees you and offers you an energetic “hey” and it completely melts you.

You sit next to him while he tinkers with your car, him mostly taking up a lot of the conversation but you’re chiming in here or there a little bit more than on the first date. Everything around you kind of fades away in those moments, you’re just enjoying the time passing with Juice.

When you get home that night, you break something else on your car, purposely, so you can bring it back the next day. Too nervous to just ask him to hang out on your own.

After he catches on, you’ve brought your car in 3 times in one week, he decides to blurt it out. Do you wanna be my girlfriend? And he’s immediately mortified by the prepubescent way of asking you to be his but in your eyes it's perfect. It’s direct and leaves no room for misinterpretation. BEGINNING OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP:

Then, things are a bit different once your relationship is a bit more established. You both geek out together, and you feel a bit more comfortable coming out of your shell around him.

He definitely becomes protective over you, knowing how fragile he can be because of his sensitive side and how people are eager to take advantage of that, the thought that someone could be like that with you makes him want to follow you around like a guard dog.

He's constantly stare at you, lovingly + adoring but also curiously, just picking up on the things you do and why. But now, instead of looking away when you catch his eyes, he just smiles, maybe lightly touches your face, places a soft kiss on your lips, still smiling through each interaction.

But the real kicker is when he tells you he wants you to come hang out at the clubhouse and meet the guys.

Now, he’s not an idiot, he knows that they can be a lot and you aren’t a very extroverted person, but he reassures you a lot that they’ll love you and you’ll have a good time. He also lets you know he’d never let anything happen to you. And once the guys meet you, neither will they.

When you show up, you’re feeling exactly how you felt when you first met Juice. Flighty eyes, absorbing the environment, taking in everything.

The commotion of the group by the pool table and then the group by the bar was starting to make your stomach turn.

Juice spots you immediately and is by your side within seconds and never leaves it. One, because he wants to keep his word of being there and two, he feels so happy just to have you here with his family.

The guys tease Juice more than they tease you, and when anyone gets a little too pushy before you’re able to even feel uncomfortable Juice is handling it.

OVER TIME:

I think he’d be able to anticipate your needs and vice versa.

When he comes home from a rough day, you’re there to pick up the pieces and he lets you.

There’s toons of physical affection behind closed doors. Cuddling, all types of kisses, very sweet and passionate love.

In public and in front of the club, it’s not as prominent but there’s definitely arms wrapped around you, sitting in between his legs, casual pecks on the cheek and fingers intertwined.

He’d also trust your opinion on things because when you are at the clubhouse you’re not looking to fuck-around. You’re taking in everything and it gives you a really unique perspective on situations.

He’d take you on so many long rides and road trips because he knows the quiet of the rides are your favorite.

He’d leave breakfast for you when he had early mornings and you’d leave dinner for him on those late night runs.

Juice would use his skills to make your life easier, just like when you first met. Fixing your car, your computer, making sure you were upgrading all your software, getting you things that you didn’t even realized existed that just made every aspect of your life easier.

Ultimately, I think a shy partner is exactly what Juice needs, someone who understands him, and is patient with him. They both would be able to respect and love each other because they see each other. There's so much understanding because they get one another, their quirks, their preferences, their mannerisms.

VENUSIAN ENERGY

Finally a youthful,playful and fiery planet Venus at our doorstep! She never shys away from her beliefs and power. The Moons daughter and the complete depiction of feminine beauty. She emerges from the shell of life only to show us her glowing skin, soft facial features, breathtaking hair, plump breasts and firm hips.

⚪Venus is the second planet furthest from the Sun, making her character and motives not so secretive since a lot of light shines above her. She's the young female planet of the solar system, sure of her looks and power but also in need of guidance so her energy doesn't get taken away. Youthfulness always has a touch of naivness to it, attracting despicable people to one's table.

⚪Venus is also the planet of riches and romance, sex and power, fortune and prosperity! The Godess of good energy and hopefulness. She finds her home with two signs in the zodiac: a feminine Taurus and a masculine Libra. These two are the brother and sister created by Venus to show other signs how to live a hedonistic life filled with luxurious items, fine dining and passionate sex. These two know how to indulge, that's for sure!

The difference between Taurus and Libra in my perspective is huge. So here are some core differences:

◽Taurus is a fixed sign, meaning it doesn't like adapting to anything new really. It's also the only fixed earth sign. So not only do Taurses hate change, but they are also gifted the stubbornness from being a sign ruled by the element earth. Also Taurus rules the second house, which is the house of movable goods asessts, income and financial possesions. To put it into one word money. This house also shows which activitie/projects move you towards earning said money. So Taurus, like all the earth sign has all ears and eyes on wealth. But, our fellow Taurus does love to dabble in the extra extvagant lifestyle filled with cozy food, a warm house and substances to indulge.

◽Libra on the other hand is a cardinal sign, this meaning it is more flexible to new happenings and more outgoing. This openness amplifies with this sign being an air sign. So Libra is the practical, diplomatic, energetic and of course balanced sign. This sign is all about partnerships as well. You won't really catch Libra happily single honestly. This also goes hand in hand when looking into the house Libra rules: the 7th house. This house is known as the house of partnerships, marriage, sweethearts, business partnerships and visible enemies. It also is a house of your grandfather. It's main purpose is to show where you'll need to bend your personality to accomplish duties with others. Libras such as Tauruses love the finer things in life, enjoy dressing good and having a good reputation aswell. There not as cold and introverted as there beloved sister Taurus.

◽Their style of clothes, friends, interior differ in a sense. Both have expensive taste, don't get me wrong. But...a homebody Taurus loves coziness over all. Their style will be more bohemian, laid back. They are the crystal girlies who love drinking tea by their bedside in a room filled with intriguing art and plants. Libra on the other hand loves to stand out. They live for high fashion, nice heels, a comfortable but trendy coat followed by a designer purse. Their house has to have a furry companion, expensive wine and Tiffany lamps.

Libra also loves hosting dinner parties and brunches! They love to cook and prepare for others or just organize a nice outing with their big friend group! Tauruses on the other hand like a more surine gathering. They don't enjoy a lot of people, to be quite frank they love a one on one the most. Their ideal hanging out strategy are one's in nature surrounded by creeks, ponds, little animals and a nice rolled up joint. To pug it shortly think of Libras friends as a buffet and Taurus as a picnic! It's the same concept put a completely different outcome.

Now what to we have with our observations! Their will be a more than per usual since Venusian energy follows me wherever I go. I've had at least 3 relationships with a fellow Taurus and was born into a household by two Libras. So in that sense, I've seen/felt a lot of Venusian energy!

⚪ Libra sun's need a partner, they just never want to live alone or do anything without the help of a partner. Especially if your chart doesn't have any earth, you die for romance and partnership. Libra sun's also don't get mad that easy, they truly are pacifists and diplomatic creatures most of the times. This doesn't apply if you have a fire moon though, forget any nice wording from that Libra than.

⚪ Libra men with a gemini venus is a complete disaster. I said what I said, stay away from that man. He's a good one night stand/friends with benefits type,not going to lie, but in my perspective not really boyfriend material. Sorry not sorry. Also if he has a lot of earth/water signs, of course it can help with not being a complete demon to my fellow lover girls.

⚪ Libra risings, as you all know are just stunning. Of course, there ruled by Venus. The girls are always angelic looking with a fierce bubbly attitude and the men have amazing style. Think of Harry Styles, Kate Winslet, Doja Cat and Beyonce. They embody femininity and have this constant glow to them! Chefs kiss really.

⚪ Libra moons are in my perspective the easiest air sign to have. They aren't really amazing in the feeling emotions department, but they are fearly reliable when in need! Not clingy nor detached.

⚪ Chiron in Libra can be such a heartbreaking placement in my eyes. These natives constitley seek partnerships with others, but see themselves as worthless partners. Not worthy of love nor passion. This wound must be healed by understanding imperfection in both parties and expressing love to yourself the most!

⚪ Libra Mars, ugh. I have a difficult relationship with this placement. In one way Mars is at its fall in this sign, but again people with this placement hate conflicts and really try to sort it out the right way. Again if your Mercury is in a fire sign, forget I said anything. But their actions can be seen as "passive". They also looooove dirty talk, being experimental in the bedroom and love a passionate/cute sexual experience.

⚪ Taurus men. I mean I can write a whole ass post about this theme. I've seen quite similar patterns in Taurus men. Firstly they love stable relationships and find new girlfriends very easily. Secondly they love to smoke weed, pardon me...they are absolute potheads and want to grow their own plants, take care of them etc. They really enjoy being high and doing everything while being high. They also are very jealous but also passionate. All they want is a calm girlfriend who they can travel with, eat cozy meals with and take shrooms in the forest. Don't forget to give them back massages and head rubs, they really are such princesses.

⚪ Taurus Venus...also one of my favorites. They are just so damn stunning without a shirt on. They love to be put on their stomach and caressed all night. Also, some of them love getting gently choked. They really are the pillow princess and the submissive boy.

⚪ Venus in the 1st house, damn. They are beautiful no matter what. The girls have the typical Venus body, hips, boobies, booty. The hourglass figure if you will. The boys have these magnetic eyes with lashes to the ceiling. Their smile will make anyone stare and drowl. The girls with this placement love a guy with soft features, plump lips and ideally curly hair. The guys love fruity perfumes, nicely done nails and silk hair. They both have to look put together for the guy/girl.

⚪ Venus in the 2nd house means the native will inharit money based of of their looks, sexuality, feminine power. It's a good placement to the native since Venus is at home!

⚪ Venus in the 10th house can mean your career can be based on your looks aswell. For example I know some girls who are burlesque dancers with this placement.

Living in Spain has been one of your biggest dreams, and you finally moved here for college abroad to work on your infuriating art major, even though you feel like you’re a little old for college now that you’re in your 30s. You’re an underground artist, and you’re just itching to get your work out there to be noticed by the public. You’re an absolute ball of sunshine, and to be fair, you’re the most energetic and outgoing person you know, but, you don’t really know too many people in Spain yet, but that’s beside the point. You really are energetic, though— almost too much. There is one thing that you’re always excited about though, no matter what— reading. Finding new books to binge-read in one sitting is always one of your favorite activities when you have free time. The library cashier is extremely tired of you coming in every week.

Javi Gutierrez, on the other hand, is the polar opposite of you. He’s a shy, new up-and-coming actor who doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life after the success of his first movie. Though fame is finding him well, much more than anticipated, he doesn’t particularly want to make another movie quite yet, now that his co-star, Nic Cage, has left Spain. Even with his newfound fame, he still enjoys going out and doing activities he enjoys, which mainly include going to the local library. He prefers reading in a library than in his own house, alone. He likes the atmosphere the library gives him, but most of all, he loves tucking himself away strategically in the corner of the library window, so he can look out and see the bustling streets of people living their everyday lives.

On a Friday afternoon, you have some free time to yourself, and you, of course, decide to head to your local library. You never go on Fridays— your typical day off is Sunday, but today was different; today was a professor work day at your college, so you had no classes or any assignments to complete, meaning you could spend your whole day reading. You walk into the library happily, as always. The smell of the ink bled into the pages of hundreds of books filled your lungs— a scent you thoroughly enjoyed. You finally pick out a new book that you’ve been eyeing, having heard good things about it online and from the people in your college.

Even though you got what you came for, you couldn’t walk into a library and buy just one book— no, you had to buy at least 5 every time you came in. After picking out your books, you waltz to the cashier, who already appeared annoyed at you being there. A strict, slightly older woman— always had an attitude, but that didn’t let you stop being your energetic, bubbly self to her. “You know, you still need to return the other 10 books, right?” she says, sternness filling her tone.

“Yeah, yeah! I know; I’ll bring them all back next time I come!” you say, smiling widely, setting the books down on the counter. The woman simply rolls her eyes at your response, knowing you’d be back in a few days and she’d have to deal with you again. After she scans the books, the woman tells you, “Your total is going to be €15.75.” €15.75… you think. You only brought €15— you sigh in response; the woman before you, never having heard that sound come out of you, and looked at you like you had 3 heads planted firmly upon your shoulders. You searched your pockets and purse but had no change.

“It’s just 75 cents. Can’t you let it pass this once?” You plead but to no avail. The woman shakes her head harshly, muttering something about ‘library rules,’ but you were too disappointed by her head shake to take care of what she said. You sigh once more— looking around the library; surely somebody would be willing to give you a dollar, right? Right?

You feel increasingly upset the longer you look through the library aisles for someone to ask until your eyes finally land on a gentleman wearing a mustard-colored shirt full of wrinkles. He was sitting in a corner, away from everything, with his legs planted on a footrest and his face hiding behind a book. You hold your finger up to the cashier, signaling for her to wait as she sighs in response. You walk up to the man, “Hey! I hate to ask you this, but I was just checking out, and I’m 75 cents short. Do you mind? It’s okay if not—” you say quickly, trying not to seem too over the top.

The man lowers his book, and a shy pink rose upon his cheeks while nodding slowly. “Um yeah, sure,” he whispers, almost inaudible, as he shifts himself in his seat and reaches into his jeans pocket for some change. He pulls a €5 bill from his pockets and raises his hand for you to take it before settling back into his seat.

You take the bill from between his fingers, grinning brightly— “Thank you so much! You’re a lifesaver,” you say, full of enthusiasm. A soft smile washes over the man’s face before nodding, his cheeks still showing a light rose color. You turn on your heel and rush back to the cashier, proudly waving your money in the air. After checking out, the cashier hands you your change, and you grab your books. Before you leave, you turn back and walk toward the man again. He seemed to have heard you coming and had lowered his book just enough to see you already standing there. “Hey again, thank you for lending me some money. Here’s the change!” you say, holding the money out to him, close enough for him to reach it. The man lowers his book into his lap, smiling softly, takes the money from your grasp, and messily pushes the money back into his jeans.

You finally catch a glimpse of the man's entire face, his curly brown hair complimenting his tanned skin and the patchy stubble on his face. You grow curious and look into the man’s lap to see what book he’s reading— and to your surprise, it’s your favorite book ever. “Oh my God,” you exclaim, a little too loud for a library, startling the man slightly and causing him to look at you. After adjusting your tone accordingly, you continue— “that’s my favorite book!”

His face lights up brightly, “Really? That’s awesome,” he enthuses, yelling in a whisper. Just for a moment, he’s brought out of his shy state. He adjusts his position again, sitting forward in his seat and removing his feet from the footrest. “I’ve loved this book since it came out,” he continues, “I’ve never met anyone else who likes it.”

“Yeah, all the books from this author are really good! I especially love this one, though,” you finish, smiling as you sit on the footrest in front of the man, hugging your new books to your chest. The man, shy once more, becomes flustered until “Hey, I was thinking of going to the coffee shop down the street. Do you wanna come with?” you say, tilting your head to the side.

The man’s eyes widened, with even more heat rising into his cheeks— another thing they had in common; coffee. “Yeah, of course,” he enthuses, breaking eye contact just enough to stand up out of his seat while grabbing his bag and placing his book inside of it, “I love that place!” he finishes as he puts the bag messily around his shoulder, looking back at you. He looks down at the books you’re holding in your arms, and as you stand up, he asks, “Do you wanna put your books in my bag? So you don’t have to hold them—” he says softly.

“Yeah, sure! Just don’t steal them for yourself,” you joke, making yourself chuckle before handing him your books. The man blushes at your words, taking the books from your hands and placing them all inside his bag. The two of you walk out of the library, and you wave to the cashier as you leave; she, of course, didn’t wave back. As the two of you walk towards the coffee shop, you get lost in conversation about your favorite books. The walk was the same distance it always was, but with the man walking with you, it felt a lot shorter than usual.

Just as you reach the shop, you stop suddenly. You hadn’t asked the man his name, nor had he asked you. “I forgot to ask, what’s your name?” you say, turning to him, smiling nervously.

“Javi,” he says, his rich, deep voice rings through your ears. A soft laugh escapes your mouth, full of nervousness as you tell the man your name, him joining your chuckles soon after. The two of you sit at one of the tables placed by a window.

The two of you gush over your newfound subjects in common— a not-so-known favorite author and coffee. What could be better? The two of you spend well over an hour hogging up the coffee table, just getting to know each other, until a worker comes and tells you that you have to leave if you aren’t going to buy anything else. The two of you are already so strung out on coffee you both know either of you doesn’t need any more in your system. “Hey, do you wanna come over to my house for a little bit?” Javi asks, “You don’t have to, obviously; I know we just met and—”

You spring your head up at his words; you’ve been having a lot of fun talking to Javi so far; what could it hurt? “Of course!” you interrupt his concerned rambling. He simply smiles in return, picking up the bag under his seat as he stands up. The two of you walk to the door of the coffee shop, “I walked here from my house, so it’s a bit of a walk—” he says, as he opens the door for you to walk out, “I hope that’s okay,” he finishes as he walks out behind you, closing the door.

“Yeah, that’s alright!” you say excitedly as the two of you start walking toward’s Javi’s house. Obviously, you don’t go to random people’s houses like this, but Javi felt— different. He felt trustworthy, considerate, and loving. You’re brought out of your thoughts while on the way there as you spot a flower field to the left of you. You stop walking to look at the view for a moment, Javi noticing almost immediately. He turns back to face you, a slight smile planted on your face. You’ve never been to this area of Spain before, and already, it’s so much more beautiful than where you currently dwell.

Javi looks for a moment at your wavy hair, lightly being blown in the sunset’s wind, the sun glowing brightly in the backdrop of you, lighting illuminating your features. As he realizes he’s been staring, he clears his throat and fixes his shirt before stepping toward you. Just as he reaches your side, you look at him. “It’s beautiful,” you declare, still looking at the field. Javi looks at you and nods, “Yeah, it is.” before turning his head to look where your eyes were fixated. Suddenly, you interlink your arm with his, tugging at him to follow you into the field. “Come on, let’s pick some flowers,” you say, excitement filling your body, with a slight red washing across your face as you unlink your arm, running your hand down to hold his, as you turn around to face him while walking backward as laughter fills the air. Javi blushes at the sight of you for what seems like the millionth time today— as you two reach relatively far from the path you were previously walking, you let go of Javi’s hand, your body missing his touch.

You bend down near a patch of red carnations, picking a flower and lifting it to your nose, smelling the sweet yet subtle clove-like scent and letting it fill your body, making you feel warm inside. You stand back up and turn around to see Javi standing behind you, hands in his pockets with the corners of his lips upturned softly, causing gentle wrinkles to form around his dark-colored eyes. You walk up to him and place the flower behind his ear, letting his soft curls hug around the stem to hold it in place— light pink creeps up his neck and onto his cheeks once more.

You giggle at his face, full of awe— you break your gaze from his kind face enough to look up into the sky, causing Javi to do the same. You notice it’s getting late, and just as you’re about to say you should get going to Javi’s house, he speaks, “It’s getting late; we should hurry before it gets too dark,” his deep voice with his rich accent echoing through your ears as if honey had a sound— making your cheeks flush.

You simply nod in agreement while holding your hand out for him to take it. He has to look back between your hand and your face a few times before finally taking it in his own, making a few soft chuckles escape your mouth, causing him to do so too. After about 20 minutes of walking, the bright orange rays shining behind you slowly disappear until finally reaching it’s end, and the lightness of the moon begins peeking out from the horizon. The two of you reach Javi’s home, and God— was it beautiful. You wouldn’t admit it, but you felt slightly jealous while walking into his pristine villa home when you’re reminded of your small college dorm.

“Do you want a drink or anything?” he asks, breaking the non-awkward silence the two of you had throughout your walk.

“Sure! Water’s fine,” you reply happily, looking at all of the knick-knacks Javi had littered throughout his home. Javi returns with your water in hand, nearly running to get back to you.

After handing it to you, he speaks up, “Do you wanna go sit on the couch— or?” he says, his voice laced with a sort of sweetness that makes your body tingle. You nod in response, taking a sip from your water. Javi guides you to his living room; the large room before you opens up as he turns on moody, orange lights that remind you of the sunset you saw a mere hour ago. It feels homey— welcoming, and warm. Something you don’t experience at your own college house. Javi walks over to the couch, covered in soft blankets and a few pillows, and kicks his feet up on the coffee table. You follow closely behind, sitting close to him, your knees almost brushing against each other as you sink into your seat.

Javi hums as if he’s forgotten something essential and stands up without saying anything. He disappears into the other room, leaving you there. After a few moments, he returns— an old worn book in his hands. “This is one of my favorite books,” he says, sitting back down next to you, “I want you to read it,” he finishes softly, looking at you while motioning for you to take it. You oblige— surprisingly, it’s a book you’ve never read, so of course, you’d be willing. You open the book to the first page, glancing at it, then turning over a few pages before running your fingers through each and every page, noticing messily written notes and scribbles written out into the worn margins. You absolutely adore annotated books, and it’s one of your favorite pastimes, besides actually reading the book in the first place.

You let a few chuckles escape your mouth as you look up to see Javi’s relieved expression grow on his face after your silence. You reach over to hug him quickly, causing him to laugh too, his hand resting on your upper back. You pull away, returning your attention to the book, positioning yourself cross-legged before him, sinking into your seat even more. “Can I read it now?” you ask, smiling, still not looking at him but skimming the first page's notes.

“Of course,” he says simply, smiling. You start reading immediately— resting your head on the side of the couch. You point out a few rather silly remarks he’s written down on the first page, causing you both to giggle. You spend well over an hour just reading the pages of the book, occasionally engaging in a conversation about what you’re reading, Javi being just as fascinated with it as you are, if not more which makes you chuckle. After a while, a “Can I lay my head on your lap?” escapes your mouth, looking at Javi for consent. He nods as his face heats up, and you lay down, the book above your face, as you two still talk about the notes he’s made and the careless actions the main character makes in the book.

About halfway through the book, you hear Javi’s stomach grumble something mean, causing you to laugh. “You hungry?” you ask sarcastically, looking at him, letting a few more chuckles escape your mouth. You receive a nod as he joins in on your laughter, a slight tint of embarrassment hidden within as he hides his face behind his hands. You lift your head off his lap, setting the book down on the couch, not leaving the page you left off on. “You should eat,” you say softly.

“Yeah,” he pauses, thinking. “Do you want some cake? That’s what I’m going to have,” he finishes, looking over at you, eyes glistening in the light’s warm tones that fill the room.

You smile, “That sound’s perfect!” you say, nodding. He stands up, whispering a quiet ‘okay’ sound before disappearing into the other room once more before returning a few minutes later with two plates, each with red velvet cake and a napkin on each. You let out a small squeak at the sight, making your mouth water slightly at the richly flavored cake. As you two are eating, Javi finishes rather quickly, and you notice frosting on his face he doesn’t seem to notice. You pick up your napkin to wipe it off, his cheeks turning visibly red, as does yours, the both of you gigging.

Once you finish your cake, you set both plates down on the coffee table, along with the book, and lay your head back down on his lap. “Wanna watch some TV?” you ask, looking up at his face and into his eyes as he meets yours.

“Sure thing,” he says, nodding while looking down at your face before reaching for the remote to turn on the TV. After an hour of watching the show, you fall asleep, head still resting in his lap. He notices shortly after when he hears the soft snores that escape your mouth, which is slightly agape. He smiles at the sight, lowering his hand down to brush some of the hair out of your face. He feels your cold skin and grabs the blanket from behind you that was messily thrown over the couch’s back, and lays it over your body, causing you to stir slightly in your sleep. He lowers the volume of the TV so as to not wake you up.

Shortly after, he looks down at your sleeping state, whispering a light "Goodnight, hermosa (beautiful)," before he leans back onto the couch deeper, sighing contently, before falling asleep for the night, with you in a deep sleep on his lap.

SHAMELESSLY ANNOYING Sevika

something me and my ADHD ass would do. Anyway, Reader annoying her very moody girlfriend.

• No matter what mood Sevika is in, she can't seem to get away from your stupid questions. Questions that either make no sense or are down right ridiculous.

• Sometimes they range from, "If i was a―" or "Would you love me if―"

• All you got in response to your half asked question was either a growl, or a sigh.

• The poor woman wouldn't even have a chance to play her cards because you would be there, on her lap trying to steal all of them from her. You got bored a lot.

• Half the time she had to wrap her metal arm around yours just so you would focus and let her play. She would never hurt you, just keep you at bay while she's busy.

• Your attention span to something or things always left you stressing out. Because you just couldn't focus on something for too long.

• Sevika would notice and run her fingers through your hair just to keep you aware, and always say that you're okay, and that she will be finished soon.

• Even if she doesn't let you mess with her cards, you instead will start poking her face, her nose. Anything on her face that you can see, you will touch. Even her knee for god sake.

• "Stop doing that"

• There were times where you were just a little too loud or hyper. Or you got too excited and ended up almost either whacking her in the face or shouting in her ear. "Sweetheart, relax. I'm right here, you don't have to yell" In that soft tone.

• She was the only person who is allowed to annoy you. So if someone says something about your behaviour, she's already plotting a murder. The woman's already ready to punch them just for their snarky comment.

• You, like usual are oblivious to it. Mainly because you're too focused on biting or kissing her neck.

• Again, no matter the time or day you can't help but ask her more stupid questions. "Do you think leaves have feelings?"

• "Baby, it's 2am. Go back to sleep"

• Sometimes you worried you were being too annoying. You were hyper as a child, you were outgoing and really fucking energetic and that would worry you. You worried you were being too much for her.

• Sevika being Sevika would reassure you that you're okay, and she loves you. You were in fact, the ray of sunshine and happiness they needed in Zaun.

• That still made you act like a damn brat, trying to steal her drinks any chance you got.

• "Sweetheart, you have 5 seconds to give me back my drink before i refuse to give you anymore hugs or kisses" She would always mutter, clenching her jaw tightly.

• You loved those, so you had no choice but to give it back to her.

• She will worry about you when you become silent at random times. It's just a habit you had. Especially if you were just really tired. She just frankly missed your questions. Secretly.

• It's scary, Sevika knows exactly when you're going to ask a question that makes no sense. You can't help but laugh knowing she will get annoyed. The only thing she will do is stare, and cover your mouth with her hand.

• Gives you the right to lick it.

• "You're disgusting"

• In the end, she loves everything about you. Yes, even your questions. You were always happy, something she couldn't understand but she also realised that it was who you were. She loved you either way.

• Also, if you weren't annoying her 24/7 then she's going to hunt down who upset you. She knows when you're not yourself. When you're not smiling, laughing or annoying her she knows something is wrong.

Note; I felt personally attacked by how I wrote about not being able to focus on anything for longer than a few minutes because of my ADHD. I'm out here trying to be cute and end up hurting my own feelings LMAO. I'm also feeling generous, i was going to post this in a few days but i have enough drafts to post until i feel better <3 🙏

Hey! Is it me or there seems to be a narrative that Charlotte is better than George? A lot of people comment on how she's a lady, she's like QEII, she knows what to do and when to do it, that she is the boss, etc. And I find that when we see the kids (like ttc) most photos and talk end up being of her and not of George. I feel like theres something to be said here...

I don't want to talk about the kids. They are kids and shouldn't be subjected to our opinions. I am talking about the media and the "fans".

It's not new. People have been saying that about Charlotte since the Cambridges' tour of Canada in 2016 because they perceive her as being the more outgoing, energetic one as George tends to be shyer and quieter.

Charlotte gets the attention at these events more than her brothers for the same reason that Kate gets the attention more than William: women sell headlines and photographs better than the men.

I don't blog about minor royals/private family members for many reasons and this is one of them.

WARNING! LONG POST WITH LOTS OF DRAWINGS!

First thing first! Some context:

Last year I've been introduced to Epic the musical which reignited my childhood obsession with greek mythology. Since then a lot of my themed drawings have been piled up. I don't think I will draw anything related anytime soon due to some "in real life stuff". So I decided to post most of them here dividing in two.

And this is the first post, which mostly contains drawings with Iris!

Why Iris? Let's just say I have never heard of her before, but after reading the Illiad I LOVED the idea of two Olympic messengers who counterpart each other.

As you can see in this take on their designs I wanted to give Hermes rather dusty and faded color scheme, while Iris is the burst of colors! However *headcanon!* their character is completely opposite to their appearance. So while Hermes is very lively, energetic, outgoing and chaotic, Iris on the other hand is collected and composed, calm, kinda a withdraw person (brooding even over something *cough* Titanomachy *cough*).

Speaking of the Illiad, while reading I've noticed that Homer used an interesting adjective to describe a brunete person: violet haired. So here's random portrait of young Zeus:

But let's get back to Iris. Her origins are also very interesting. I wouldn't ever guessed that she's rather sea goddess than anything! You see, her parents are Thaumas (sea god who personified the wonders of the sea) and Elektra (cloud-nymph of the amber-trim), and grand parents accordingly: Pontos, Okeanos and Tethys.

Btw I already talked how different scanners affect your drawing. It took me several days to convert next two pieces into digital format... Because I literally needed the SUN to do that. Why? Because the first scanner "ate" the colors from drawings and i couldn't restore them. And the second one made them incorrigibly dark. So I waited days for sunny weather and make a photo with phone. I have no idea what am I going to do in winter. But I hope I will come up with something!

I'd like to tell more about these two drawings. On the first one I pictured several celestial gods: Hemera, Helios, Selene and Eos. Looking at them now I realize I actually want to change Selene's design (it's just waaay too simple) and maybe I'd like to make Eos a little bit chubby or curvy. By now you must have already realize that Helios's design is basically humanization of sun in sunglasses (I know it doesn't really fit his character in myths, I just thought it would be more funny and interesting). As for Hemera... I will explain hers and few other gods designs in second post.

The second picture is... Well... Iris and her twin sister Arke the traitor. Look now... I know that there is only one literary source where this character is mentioned, which dates back to the 1st-2nd century AD. So I'm not entirely sure that it can be considered part of ancient Greek mythology. Basically, I just like the idea of such character and how her existing would affect other characters.

Anyway. Iris is also a sister to harpies! (I will show their designs in next post) So I was thinking what Iris would look like if she herself were one?

My Year End C-drama Review (2023)

Last year, I did two Cdrama Wrapped posts for each half of the year. This year, I watched so much stuff right away I got arrogant and was about to do a January-February summary. And then life happened and handed me my entire ass, so here we are right back on the ground zero.

Well, not exactly. I watched lots of dramas I liked this year and would like to give nods to as many as possible, and before I start forgetting details I thought I better go ahead with the entrees that I'm sure of the answers.

My initial Cdrama reviews were inspired by anniedelavoye's this post 2 years ago, I've extrapolated a lot from there but some entrees remain same.

Part 2

1. First drama I finished in 2023

Hi Venus. Modern workplace romcom isn't my go-to-genre, least of all if the ML is a CEO. If not for the unusual-for-the-genre setup of initial few eps and the strong recommendations of my friends, I might not have pressed play at all. And I'm so glad I did because it turned out to be one of the most refreshing takes of the genre, it was funny, the pacing nor the dialogues were ever draggy, the characters were intelligent and pleasant, and down to earth. It never leaned to the tropes of helpless/badass FL or tsundere/beta ML extremes, there was no dramatic villain arcs, down to the supporting characters everyone were so reasonable and mature and simply had the nicest time ever together. Now I put it like that, it sounds boring but trust me, it wasn't. Do give it a try. Your time won't be wasted.

2. An actor who took my breath away

Jing Boran as Lan Jue/Peizhi from The League of Nobleman

I mean

Look at him. Instant KO.

I remember watching this scene (and every scene that followed after, especially when he had his hair down) and being in disbelief about how he's real. He's literally glowing out the screen! His performance as a model scholarly minister, the way he conducted his glance, his steps, his speech and temperament were nothing but enchanting and... look, I can write poetry about him for ages lol.

And then I watched every single work I could find of him and ended up even more in love, because his resume was nothing but diverse. A measured scholar, a bubbling-out-of-his-skin social butterfly, a ballerina in a tutu, a man pregnant with the cutest radish monster ever, there's nothing he cannot play. I'm definitely going to check out every single work of him that'll be coming out in the future as well. Even if the plot fails, his character will surely be interesting.

(Also, I was FINALLY lured into DMBJ fandom thanks to going down his profile as well, and now I'm here to stay🤭)

3. Most relatable character

Bai Moxi from Gone With the Rain

She was street-smart and sassy, but never foolhardy. She wasn't a damsel nor was overly clever. She had her moments of daydreaming, but she knew what was and wasn't reasonable. She had a high sense of self-worth, she also knew when to make herself scarce. Despite being the most outgoing and energetic personality in the room, she didn't make everything to be about herself. In fact, she couldn't have been happier to be a background supporting character of the story, quietly minding her own business in her corner. In summary, she just felt very real, and exactly like how I love my FLs. Every decision she took felt like what I'd also have done in her situation. (Btw I hope noone messages me about loving Moxi but hating her sister because I don't. I think her character also made a lot of sense based on her circumstances even though she was bit more difficult to love than Moxi.)

Most of all, she was played to a tee by Zhang Nan, the young actress was allowed to shine to her true potential in this role, as she used to be quite stereotyped in either bubbly or petty mean girl roles. The drama horribly fell apart in the latter quarter (I'd like to pretend it all ended before that Great Seperation Scene), but I'm going to remember her charaacter for a long time to come.

4. Most inspiring character

Li Lianhua from Mysterious Lotus Casebook

The tumblr tag for MLC is already filled with Grade A+ poetry, prose and analysis dedicated to him and I'm not capable of wording it any better than them. All I can say is he really touched a vulnerable corner of my heart, and gave it strength. He's just so very admirable and represents all I ever want to be, and his entire character design and all its metaphors and philosophy especially resonate with me as a Buddhist. Like Cheng Yi said at the end of MLC concert, "At the end of the day, if you have a lotus flower in your heart that you can call your own, that's what matters."

5. Best Couple of the Year

Lu Zhaoxi and Ye Shilan (Zeng Shunxi and Liang Jie) in Hi Venus, Zhao Jian and Yuan Zhongxin (Zhou Yutong and Zhang Xincheng) in Young Blood 2

Here are two couples who were each others' equal match in every big, small and miscellaneous ways possible. Where their roles in their partnership did not have anything to do with society-determined gender or power dynamics, not about conforming to them nor about beating them. Everything about their relationships simply had to do with what they meant to each other their admiration, respect and love towards the other person, from beginning to end. In Hi Venus, it was never uncomfortable to watch Shilan being Zhaoxi's subordinate, for he always treated her like any good superior should in any healthy professional relationship. In Young Blood 2, Zhongxin would fully trust Zhao Jian with everyone else's and his own life, not because his head was in wishful romantic clouds but because he was 100% confident in her capabilities and would never disrespect her with "girls should be protected, you stay back and let me take the sword for you" nonsense.

I may check out like 50 dramas per year and may never come by such Het pairing dynamics in some years, yknow? I do not hate on any other kind of dynamic (plus I'd have next to nothing to watch in that case lol) but, THIS... this is so rare -for me to not be icked out by not even a single second of a fictional het couple's screentime lol- hence the gushing! (Though I know I'm not doing the greatest job of phrasing what I feel😆).

Following that note, though not a couple, honorable mentions to Chufeng (Bi Wenjun) and Robin (Zhu Zhengting) from Silence of the Monster who took Sui Yi (Sun Yihan) into their home not because they thought it'd be chivalrous to help a girl, but because it's the nice thing to do as a fellow human. For continuing onto integrating her into their world with ease and enthusiasm not because any of them had feelings for her but because they simply found her a good friend to hang out with.

Suffice to say I DIG ANY relationship where gender does not come into play, like, at all (or barely, if you must).

6. Best harem of the year

Orchid and Lotus harems (from League of Nobleman and Mysterious Lotus Casebook)

(Only sharing the pics of Orchid Harem because it was from the earlier quarter of this year, whereas pics of Lotus Harem will be everywhere in the Cdrama scene for quite a while to come lol)

The support group of devout puppies, zhijis, friends-with-benefits and all sorts of other polycule postions, all centered around one precious babygirl enigma of a man is just my jam, and I love it when it happens because it brings forth the fandom's most unhinged high-art. 😌😌😌

7. Best ensemble of the year

Young Blood 2, I Am Nobody

For me a perfect ensemble is where the supporting characters are just or almost nearly as engaging and thoroughly written as the main leads, you'd love every second spent on any character just as much as you love that of any other. The ultimate relaxing experience where your brain doesn't have to pick favorites and you don't have to speed watch or fast forward or be antsy about who's going to appear next because you know it's gonna be enjoyable no matter whom.

And this year, it's Young Blood 2- with its Class 7 members who were all so different but all so compelling and equally contributing to the plot, complimented by the Class 8 and the unnervingly captivating villains.

And I Am Nobody- with its extensive spread of young and old heroes/antiheroes alike, all with dramatic backstories and individual charisma that were not second to another.

8. Favorite posters/promos of the year

Mysterious Lotus Casebook, Young Blood 2, Sunshine By My Side

Really liked what MLC did with positioning the characters on various spots of the titular Lianhua Lou, the wind-sway choices for the wisps of hair and the skirts... idk the exact angles of it all were just right for each character and their vibes and appealed to me a lot.

The blending-into-painting style poster of Young Blood was so pretty too, plus these Suoyi raincoat posters.

The comic strip posters for Sunshine were also super cute, unique and perfect for the drama's themes.

9. Best opening credit sequence

Love You Seven Times

The drama itself was a hot mess but the opening sequence was entirely worthy of being a parallelish-universe story to Love Between Fairy and Devil without a debate. IF ONLY they put the same effort to the story itself.

A League of Nobleman- Lan Jue's Tea Pavilion, Mysterious Lotus Casebook- Lotus House

I wish I could install a fixture in my home where me and my imaginary homies can chat over tea while being seductively separated by an active stream of freshwater, while my not so elegant period-style caravan is waiting outside in the yard for more cozily cramped get-together times. 🤧

11. Favorite lighting/color grading of the year

The Forbidden Flower, My Journey to You

The former, a kaleidoscopic explosion of colors, a celebration of fleeting life, youth, summer and nostalgia. It was a daring drama on so many fronts and nailed each of them as well, and the use of colors represented its bold soul perfectly.

The latter, a marvelous combination of mountains shrouded by mist, dark-toned wood pavilions and fur-lined robes, pale, dusty makeup with rosy lips and plump cheeks; all combined together on screen to bring a palpable ambience of a secluded glamorous hideout in a dystopian world and its ethereal residents. Seriously, how I especially loved to stare at the bride candidates in their white getups, it was like the light bounced off of the fabric to shine on their faces even more, and the skin and hair looked non-oily and baby soft. And it didn't feel over the top but convincing because the camerawork and editing conjured a believable image of an upcountry with dense and dewy forests, waterfalls and rivers, there's no sun, no heat no sweat, only cold air and pregnant humidity. OF COURSE you are going to look like THAT.

12. A drama that taught me new things

Hi Producer

The infuriating thing about Yu Zheng's show-off genre of costume dramas is that the story may be a hit-or-miss, the "historical facts" provided in them may need to be taken with a grain of salt, but they almost always provide me with great entry points to do my own research 🥲. Most niche facts that take me by surprise and things I'd never have thought to look up on my own are randomly sprinkled all over the place and I run around like a headless chicken trying to collect them all.

13. Most exhilarating drama/scene

Three-Body

That scene in ep 5. The entire buildup to it and the resolution. The phenomenal acting bringing forth the exact emotion and exact tension required. The moment you start to understand at least a sliver of why exactly all the characters are making this much of a fuss about what's happening to them.

I cannot spoil, not even a bit. You'd have to see for yourself.

I Am Nobody

(lol Three Body and I Am Nobody. I swear that was an unintentional coincidence!)

The great V-match between certain two characters, I can't elaborate. (See the thing about exhilarating scenes is that you have to see it for yourself what's the big deal is about lol.) I really liked how both their biggest vulnerabilities and yearnings were pulled out mercilessly in public, how they both fought themselves through each other before actualizing the philosophy of what it was all about. It was beautiful to watch visually as well.

14. A drama location I'd love to visit

Yunnan province

I've seen glimpses of the prosperous and both naturally and culturally diverse Yunnan province through Bite of China Documentaries and Dianxi Xiaoge's vlogs, the beautiful bucolic backdrop of Meet Yourself only heightened the wish to experience it all in person.

15. A drama that was a pleasant surprise

I Am Nobody

Perfect casting job, earnest effort from everyone involved to bring out the 2D to live action in the bestest way possible, it was like a dream come true to see a genre that was previously limited into written media like comics and fanfics (modern cultivation) as a drama even if it meant labelling all the cultivators as aliens lol

It had a lil bit of a flavor of western coming-of-age/"teen gets powers and goes on an adventure in search of their origins" stories, a bit of Japanese anime presenting style and the chaotic-gaggle-of-youth-and-veterans-with-different-extreme-powers genre vibe. And then they incorporated Chinese wuxia philosophy into it and made it their own thing. I hope to see more of this in future, and definitely a season 2!

16. An old drama I watched in 2023

Shaolin Wendao (2017)

This is one of the best period dramas I have ever seen, but I don't recommend it unless you have a strong tolerance for angst. Like, worse than Royal Nirvana and Heroes (2022) level of angst.

HOWEVER, unlike those two, Shaolin Wendao will leave you feeling rewarded for your suffering. This drama achieved a number of things that very few other have managed to do, especially for a story with such a heavy and dark premise.

The characters remained true to their selves from beginning to the end. They grew up in various ways, at the same time remained consistent. The story made sure to make all the characters aware of their individual faults and address them.

The characters were put through immense wringer but also provided viewer with the resolution they deserved. It was SO exhilarating at times, I cried. It felt like a detox, sometimes.

They prioritized telling a realistic story about the changing nature of humans. The ending was blissful but not in the idolized, wrapped-in-a-bow-tie way one would imagine. They wanted to tell a story about tribulations and letting go, and did exactly that.

It will ignite the pain but will also make sure to thoroughly quench it. So there's that.

Oh and also, respect to all the actors. All those characters were so layered and had some quite difficult scenes. I do not understand how Guo Xiaoting didn't get any good roles matching of her caliber for years after this. She was magnificent.

Originally, I was thinking about asking her to join our lion dance troupe as a drummer, but I’m glad to hear she's made a name for herself since then! I should properly introduce myself sometime!

About Zhongli: He once asked me whether I've heard about the legend of the solitary suanni after one of Iron Tongue Tian's stories. When I said yes, he launched into a really detailed discussion of Chenyu Vale's local belief system, and even told me some stories I haven't heard about a carp adeptus. It's amazing that he has so much knowledge on all sorts of folklore, as a funeral consultant no less!

Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews: Two very different personalities leading the Maple Leafs

Matt Martin played alongside Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner during their first two seasons in the NHL.

What he quickly came to realize about the two talented players at the forefront of the Maple Leafs: “They’re two very different personalities,” Martin said in an interview last spring.

“When people would ask me about the two of them, I’m like, ‘Mitchy’s your fun-loving, always happy, always wanting to be around, always a smile on his smile, just loves to play the game, loves to be a part of it, loves to be with the guys.’

“And Matthews,” he added, “is just power-hungry. And I don’t mean that in a bad way. Like, if he scores a goal, he smells blood and he’s coming for three or four. That’s just kinda who he is. He’s just got a completely different demeanour than Mitchy. And I think those two personalities really play well off each other, especially when you think about where Matthews is the elite goalscorer and Mitchy is the elite playmaker. So you have the fun-loving personality playmaker and the elite goalscorer who kinda has that eat-your-heart-out mentality.”

Matthews and Marner are both 25 and often linked as the Leafs’ two best players — both All Stars in 2023 (Matthews was unable to attend because of injury.) But as Martin and other current and former teammates have observed, they couldn’t be more different as people.

The ‘bubbly’ one

Chatty, energetic, and a social butterfly who wants to be involved in everything. That’s Marner.

“He thinks it’s crazy we’re not going for lunch today,” Morgan Rielly said. “I can’t (do lunch today). He thinks that’s bananas.”

Marner is outgoing that way.

After he took his splashy All-Star weekend skates for a spin at practice last week, Marner excitedly showed them off to teammates. “Mark-o!” he yelled across the dressing room to veteran Mark Giordano. “Come see these things.”

Moments later, Marner pulled David Kämpf in to have a look.

“He wants to know what everybody is doing,” Rielly said. “He wants to make jokes about everybody, have everybody make jokes about him, and be very involved.”

James van Riemsdyk, another former teammate, put it this way: “Mitch is a bubbly person in general and I don’t think a lot of people would describe Auston that way, from the outside looking in.”

“(Mitch) is almost like your little brother drinking sodas, eating candies,” van Riemsdyk said.

“Mitch is just very energetic,” Rielly added. “It doesn’t matter if it’s a trainer or a coach or a player, if they’re wearing a bad pair of shoes he’s gonna say something. He feels the need to poke and prod and be involved in the conversation and be involved in the joke.”

Marner leads with his energy. He’s one of the loudest voices in the Leafs’ dressing room.

“You can always hear him chirping back and forth,” Alex Kerfoot said. “He’s just got that youthful, exuberant personality that kinda draws guys in and makes it fun to be around him. He almost has that attitude of a young kid that would do anything — nothing’s really gonna make his day any worse. He’s feeling good and you can see that with the way that he plays on the ice. He just has so much confidence in himself. He’s always having a good time.”

Marner stands by the door to the Leafs dressing room just before they hit the ice for games, giving each and every teammate a pound and word of encouragement. With many, including Matthews, there are even special handshakes.

That outgoing demeanour tends to make its way onto the ice.

Martin and Marner became close pals during Martin’s brief stint in Toronto. Martin once memorably played alongside both Matthews and Marner for a game or two during the Mike Babcock era. Marner will “talk to you and tell you things” on the bench, Martin said.

“The special thing about him is he tries to use your strengths to his advantage, if that makes sense,” Martin explained. “So, he would say, ‘If I have no play, I’m (putting the puck) in your corner and I’m coming and I’m following you up.’ So I would go in and I would hit somebody and then just tap the puck back to him. So he was using your strengths to the advantage of the line.

“And then he’s not just gonna go out there and try to do it all by himself. He wants to get everybody involved.”

Marner’s playmaking talents, Martin said, were fueled by his hockey smarts. “It’s almost like he’s playing a video game,” Martin said.

The ‘laidback’ one

And while, as Rielly observed it, “Mitch kinda operates up here, just at a high frequency,” Matthews was far more laid-back. “He kinda takes it as it goes, he goes with the flow a little bit more,” Rielly said.

Don’t underestimate that Arizona cool, teammates say.

“He definitely knows how good he is – and we all know how good he is,” Michael Bunting said. “He’s not the type of guy that would go around flaunting it. He has that calm, cool (demeanour) about him.”

“And nothing affects what he does day in and day out,” Kerfoot added. “He just tunes it all out and goes about his business and is extremely focused on being the best possible player that he can be.”

Martin said he was struck by that in Matthews’ very first NHL game, when he made history by scoring four goals.

“Most guys would be jumping around,” Martin said. “And he was just – he expected to do it. It wasn’t surprising to him. He wasn’t going crazy on his celebrations.”

Martin said that game, back on Oct. 12 2016, was “one of the more impressive things” he had ever been a part of. “He just buries four and it just seemed like another day’s work for him. In a lot of ways, we were like, ‘Oh my God,’ and he was just like, ‘What’d I do?’”

Martin described Matthews as something like a shark when it came to goal-scoring.

“There was moments in games where he scores a goal and it ends a slump – and a slump for him is like three games or two games, not like my kind of slump – and then you just see this switch goes off,” Martin said. “And then the next shift he’s coming and he gets another big scoring chance, and then it just seems like he’s coming and coming and coming and coming. It’s like as soon as that opportunity presents itself and he starts to feel it, it’s like, good luck stopping him.”

Matthews stepped into the NHL at 19, but seemed a lot older than that from Martin’s standpoint.

“He had leadership qualities the first day he stepped in that locker room,” Martin said. “As a fourth line guy and somebody that plays a completely different game from him, he just always appreciated what I think everybody brought to the table.”

Matthews was first to celebrate a teammate for blocking a shot, for instance. He made it known just how much he appreciated the job of each individual.

Zach Aston-Reese made note recently of Matthews’ encouragement that way.

“When one of your best players, or in this case, the best player on the team, is recognizing the things that other guys bring to the table, that’s the type of stuff that just brings a team closer and closer together.

“It’s maturity. Some guys, it takes a while for them to grow into their skin, to be comfortable being vocal and talking to some veteran players.”

Matthews and Marner both share a fondness for their dogs — Felix for Matthews, Zeus for Marner. Both enjoy hip-hop (Marner also has a fondness for country) and along with Bunting, devoured the Netflix show “You” last summer.

“They have a lot in common obviously with their games,” Rielly said. “They’re both extremely talented. They both like certain things. But ultimately, their personalities are a little bit different.”
