when did you start loving snails?

when i was about 8 my mom got three pet snails (she used to pick up new interests weekly - that was the snail week) and i was soooo obsessed with them, i used to run home from school to see what my snail friends were up to (eating leaves usually) and id go shopping for them (run outside and find more leaves)
