༺𖤓༻༺𖤓༻༺𖤓༻༺𖤓༻༺𖤓༻ ༺𖤓༻
It was a warm Tuesday inside studio lot B. A beautiful facade of a two story house stands in a field of white daisies. You almost couldn’t believe your eyes when you walked onto the set. It looked so real! An exact replica of the real house you’ll be shooting on in a week.
The role you are playing is that of a farm wife with her three children, except your husband is having an affair with the barns keeper and your sleeping with the maid. Neither of you know you’re both cheating of course but the children do. The entire plot of the movie is the children trying to get the parents to find out about the double affairs. It’s a LGBTQ+ romance set in the early 1950s. It’s filled with steamy sex scenes and overly dramatic fights.
It’s the exact kind of movie you love doing. Sappy period pieces. In fact the movie that put you in the spotlight was almost exactly like this except it was the 1860s and you where a young unmarried queen with a “live in maid”.
Your boyfriend of 5 years Simon, or as his biker group likes to call him “Ghost” for the skull bandanna he likes to wear around his face, dropped you off on set on his newly refurbished 1980s Harley Davidson. You swore sometimes you thought he was more in love with that bike than he was with you.
“Make some money baby.” Simon told you after a steamy kiss early this morning.
Simons always been supportive of your career. The two of you met on the set of a Tv show when he was hired as a last minute extra for for some bike scene you can barely remember. For Simon it was love at first sight, but for you it was ‘I’ll wait and see where this goes’. Spoiler: You fell in love and are engaged, set to be married later this year.
“Where is my Anna Marie?” You hear your director yell out as you sit in your makeup chair getting touches done to your character’s signature red lip.
“Over here Clark! I needed my lips retouched. I think Amy got a little excited!” Clark Russel. You’ve worked with him a few times now and he’s always been a joy and a pleasure to work with, not something you find comes easy in this industry.
“Your needed on set in five. We’ve got to have this last shot of you and Blanche in the kitchen. We’ve got one week of shooting left here in the studio before we all go out on location.” Clark quickly spills out with you barely catching any of it.
Blanche is played by your costar Amy Heart. A talented actress 3 young years older than you. You’ve done several movies with her by now. You consider her one to your best friends and even plan to ask her to be a bridesmaid.
“James, Finn and Blanche are all on set. We just need you.” Clark makes direct eye contact with you as your makeup artist finishes the last touches on your makeup. He always insisted on calling people by their character names and you never questioned it.
James is played by Arther Godwin. The man that’s supposed to be your characters husband. You’ve never met him before this project but a quick IMDB search led you down a rabbit hole of bad low budget horror movies that you and Simon later binged watched. Finn is played by Roderick Grant, a fresh face. This would be his breakout role after a stream of hit indie movies.
“All done.” Your makeup artist releases you and you stand up from your seat grabbing the jacket that goes with your costume. You throw the jacket on around your shoulders and loop your arm in Clarks.
“Let’s get this show on the road!” You say in an over dramatic southern accent to which your director roles his eyes at.
༺𖤓༻
After 3 more hours of grueling take after take of Clark just having to get the tear sliding down your cheek just right, to which you where ready to rip his head off. Your just about to pass out on your trailer couch in nothing but a robe and very thin 1950s appropriate lingerie, when you hear 3 gentle knocks on your door. You get up with a puff of air leaving your lips putting your hands in your hair.
“Who is it!” You yell not really wanting to get up to answer the door.
“Open the door and find out!” You hear that oh so familiar thick Manchester voice behind the thinness of your trailers door.
In no time you’re rushing to the door and pulling your bulky fiancé in to your trailer and lacing your red lips with his. Simon closes the door through your sloppily sweet kisses. He smells of expensive leather and gas but you still drink all of him in.
“You miss me tha’ much?” Simons thick accent lets out through a smirk.
“Always.” You smile up at the tall man resting your chin on his chest.
“How was today? Make anyone else cry today?” Simon jokes but you take serious offense.
“That was one time and I didn’t even mean to yell at the poor guy.” You slap his shoulder as you both take a seat next in the oh so comfy couch in your trailer.
“I was only joking love.” Simon laughs and places a gentle kiss to your temple. He has one hand around your shoulder and the other rubbing up and down your thigh softly. You with one of your hands on his much bigger thigh and the other holding the hand that’s around your shoulder.
“Long day. Completely closed set. Only Clark and the main cast where set to shoot today.” Closed sets are usually indicators that you where filming your sex scenes today. You had one with your on screen husband and one with Amy. You almost never liked doing sex scene with men. It was never because Simon didn’t want you to or that you ever hated your male costar. You had this respect for Simon and you felt like the sex scenes could get too real sometimes. Personally, you never wanted for Simon to watch a scene of you sharing a bed(or even sometimes a kitchen counter) with another man. But every time you would ask Simon he would always just say some form of ‘This is all make believe. It isn’t real. I know you love me and some fake sex scene isn’t going to change that.” You still sometimes denied it though.
“When are you off?” Simon ask softly moving his hand further up your thigh.
You knew the game he was playing, he always did this when visiting. He always got you worked up and sweating before you had to go back and shoot a scene.
“30 minutes my love. We have to finalize a few things for today, but nice try honey.” You push Simons hand down slightly and look up towards him. Of course he has the cheekiest smirk on his face.
“I miss you at home.” Simon says kissing down your neck this time and creeping his hand back up your thigh.
“Simon.” You whisper scold him as he makes his way onto your shoulder planting sweet kisses.
“I miss the way you smell…” He grabs your hips and lays your back flat against the couch hovering over you as he plants kisses down over your collar bone. You inhale sharply when he moves his hand under the thin bra provided by the costume department.
“I miss the way you feel…” He moved his other hand to finish untying to robe from around your waist. He slowing starts kissing his way down your stomach stopping at the hem of the very 1950s lingerie.
“And I certainly miss the way you taste.” Simon has a giant smile planted on his face when he plants open mouth kisses down your thigh.
And just when he’s about to touch your center 3 harsh knocks are placed on your door.
“Miss, Mr. Russel said he needs you.” The voice calls out not even waiting for you to respond.
Simon lets out a laugh and you sit up and push him lightly.
“That’s not funny!” You whisper yell at him only to make him laugh even more. You stand up and tie your robe back around your waist and walk to the trailer door.
“It’s a little funny.” Simon says watching you with a panicked look on your face.
“I’ll be back in 20 minutes. I love you.” You place a gentle kiss on Simons lips and him returning the kiss.
“I love you too.” He says back placing one final kiss to your forehead.
Before you leave however you whisper into his ear “I think you owe the costume designer.” and bite the end of his ear playfully.
Simon watches you with his his cheek drawn inside his mouth as you grab the door handle of your trailer and leave him alone with his nothing but his thoughts for the next 20 minutes.
༺𖤓༻༺𖤓༻༺𖤓༻༺𖤓༻༺𖤓༻ ༺𖤓༻
final thoughts: i definitely got carried away while writing. I tend to do that. I get caught up on details that most likely don’t even matter all that much. I feel like somethings definitely could have been left out and more things added in but in the end it’s just a story and if you don’t like the first few sentences, just skip the story and move on.
@gauloiseblue for you friend <3

This 1906 beauty in Summerville, South Carolina was redone on the TV show "American Rehab Charleston," and called the "perfect blend of history and modern." We will be the judges of that. 4bds, 3ba, $750K. Let's see what they did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Open the door and we're seeing the standard light gray.
Tumblr media
It's so new and bright, but I wish they would stop w/the light gray, already.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Immediately to the left is the kitchen. I wonder if it was one of the sitting rooms, and they relocated the kitchen here. I like the island they made out of a vintage cabinet.
Tumblr media
Notice the backsplash tiles are not evenly flush against the wall. I guess that simulates old uneven tiles?
Tumblr media
Off to the side of the kitchen is a dining room table with a banquette and refurbished built-ins. It's awkward that people will be leaning against the curtains, though. A cute shell chandelier is over the table.
Tumblr media
What looks like the former back porch is an open foyer now.
Tumblr media
Everyday kitchen dining. Cute.
Tumblr media
The former sitting room is a comfortable living room. They saved the window seat, redid the fireplace and used molding to give the ceiling interest.
Tumblr media
The upstairs hall with new wainscoting.
Tumblr media
Looks like a TV room or library with either a bricked up fireplace or chimney and built-in shelving.
Tumblr media
I like the upper floor b/c it's colorful. The primary bedroom has shiplap walls and a walk-in closet.
Tumblr media
The primary en-suite with a double sink made from a vintage bureau.
Tumblr media
Adorable little claw foot tub and a modern shower.
Tumblr media
Lovely bedroom with a built-in feature wall.
Tumblr media
The bath has a lovely vintage look tile floor. Two dressers flank a vintage sink. Nicely done.
Tumblr media
Bedroom #3 shares a Jack & Jill bath with bedroom #2. Is that a trapdoor in the floor?
Tumblr media
This rear hall is like a mudroom with a modern version of a Victorian hall stand.
Tumblr media
Outside is a small porch and large covered patio.
Tumblr media
It looks like it may have been a carport or an attached garage.
Tumblr media
New 1 car garage.
Tumblr media
They put up a basketball hoop.

913 was a good enough pet.
He wasn't perfect, not by a long shot, but he was good at most of what he needed to do, his tasks. Cleaning wasn't hard. Neither was laundry, or dishes, or caring for plants.
Cooking was especially easy, that was 913's specialty. Not only that, but he enjoyed it, too. He didn't get to enjoy a lot of things at this place. Given it was his specialty, they would probably advertise him for that. Then he could cook every day for his owner and not have to worry about anything else.
However, while the chores came easy to him, the rest didn't. The pet stuff, the things everyone had to learn no matter what kind of pet they were. The positions, and how to talk all polite, that kind of shit. The respect crap, that was where he always messed up, and that was where he got his punishments. He wasn't trying to fuck up, it was just a lot to remember at once. He could never be a platonic.
913 rubbed at his collar. He hoped his owner would get him one without shocks. Even when it wasn't activated, the prongs dug into his neck all the time, and he hated it. Made him antsy.
But he didn't have time to worry about that right now. He grabbed his bucket to take to the other side of the room and continue his mopping.
"100913," Handler Schroeder called from behind as he stepped inside. 913 startled, dropping the water-filled bucket.
Fuck.
Handler Schroeder sighed, obviously irritated, which only made everything worse.
"I'm sorry, sir," 913 mumbled as the water spread over the floor. "Uh, you snuck up on me, so I just-"
913 cut himself off with a shriek as his collar activated, white-hot electricity arcing right into the side of his neck and setting his nerves alight. He fell to his knees, soaking his pants in the soapy water.
"Is that what you're going to do with your owner?" Handler Schroeder accused. "You mess up and blame it on them? Unbelievable. If that's the case, they'll return you right back here for refurbishing, you know. Maybe I should switch your program and make you a guard dog instead."
"I'm sorry, sir," 913 repeated, quieter this time, voice choked up with tears. His eyes bored down into the floor, too afraid to steal a glance at his handler. "Please- please- let me know how I can fix it. I wanna be better. Sir."
Handler Schroeder stomped over and grabbed him by the hair, rough fingers closing in his curls and yanking, forcing him to look up. "I will."
-
It had been a month since 913 got bought, and he was okay.
Master de Sang was miles better than the facility, it wasn't even close. Things were fine here. 913 had his own room, and he spent most of his time looking after the estate. Master liked the meals he cooked, the very thing he'd bought him for. It was fine.
It wasn't like they told him it would be, though. Master wasn't the loving owner he'd been promised. Master was strict. Master had a temper.
He was still better, far better than the handlers. He wasn't always bad. When he was in a good mood, Master could even be nice to be around, better than being alone. Master would play cards with him, or let him watch TV with him. 913 loved the TV, giving him a view into what a person's life was like.
But Master never replaced his collar, and the prongs still dug into his neck every second of every hour of every day, even though Master didn't use the shocks. Yet.
And when Master was irritated, which was almost all of the time, 913 couldn't help but get nervous.
Today was a good day so far, at least. He stole a moment to stand in front of the kitchen window, to feel the sun on his skin. He couldn't remember what it was like to be outside, but he knows he must have been outside at some point. Before. He wonders if the sun feels different when it's not filtered through the glass.
913 let himself have just a moment to bask in its warmth before he got back to cleaning up lunch, the water running over his wrist having no effect on the barcode and number permanently etched into his skin.
As he washed the dishes, he couldn't help but wince as he heard Master stomping around upstairs. He only did that when he was upset, and when he was upset...
He tried to shake it off. Master was just on the phone. That was all.
Master came downstairs just as 913 was finishing drying everything. "Welcome back, Master!" he said, chipper and friendly despite the dread building itself inside him.
Master just scowled at him, as though the greeting had made everything worse. 913 wanted to pull his hair out and scream. He wished he'd gotten a little training in what the platonics do, complex conversations with their owners besides the basic respect and obedience. Maybe he could help Master if he did. But better a domestic than either of the other two.
"Hi," Master said flatly. He leaned against the counter, tapping his fingers against it restlessly.
"Can I get you anything?" 913 asked.
"We just had lunch," Master pointed out. He wasn't looking at 913, but he wasn't sure if that was good or bad. He was staring off into space like he always did when he had family troubles.
He remembered talking to one of the platonics once back in training, 418512. 512 was talking about how they were trained to sometimes be a little more casual, something that might sometimes be interpreted as disrespect. How if they stayed fully respectful all the time, it could come off as cold. Maybe that was why Master was irritated with him.
913 was pretty sure he knew what Master was upset about. It was a risk, but he decided to go for it. He made his voice as soft and sympathetic as he could.
"Is it your father, Master?" he asked quietly.
The slap rang so hard across 913's face that his ears rang. He dropped the mug he was holding, the ceramic shattering against the floor.
Master grabbed 913 by the chin as pain bloomed over his cheek. "Don't you fucking talk about my father. Don't even mention him. Got it?"
"Yes, Master," 913 squeaked, trembling in his grip.
Master threw him to the floor over the jagged pieces. "Clean this up."
He stayed down, not moving from where he was tossed even as the edges cut into his palms. "Yes, Master."
913 stayed completely still until Master left in a huff. Once he could hear the sound of his footsteps fade away, he began picking shards out of his skin, failing not to cry.

SephGen want to build some ikea furniture for Angeal for his birthday, how does it go?
This takes place in four parts:
In IKEA:
Genesis loses Sephiroth within thirty seconds of entering the store. He proceeds to spend the next three hours looking for him. He ends up finding him in the office section holding six Blahaj sharks
Genesis, not wanting to cause a scene, lets Sephiroth hold the Blahaji (Blahaj? Blahajes?) for the time being
Angeal had mentioned needing more shelf space for his plants, and he needed a new tv stand/media console anyway
So, having done his research, Genesis immediately goes to find the LAIVA/BRIMNES combination
Sephiroth insists on buying two because he knows they’ll screw SOMETHING up
After Genesis agreed to this, Sephiroth spent fifteen minutes using his cutest sad kitten eyes to convince Genesis to let him buy all six Blahaji (I have decided this is how I will say Blahaj pluralized)
It finally worked
After spending forty five minutes wandering around in the garage looking for their car only to realize they were on the wrong level, the pair finally make it back to Shinra HQ
Getting the many boxes —each one comes in like five different boxes—and six Blahaji up the seventy four levels to their apartments:
The combined weight and size of the boxes is too much for the regular elevator
so they take the cargo elevator
Problem is, the cargo elevator is slow as hell
Sephiroth spends the entire time naming his Blahaji
They are now Norbert, Nola, Noreen, Nelson, Nadia, and Benedict Bertram Bradford the thirty fourth
Genesis was reciting LOVELESS in his best approximation of a Swedish accent
This was how Sephiroth learned Genesis can’t mimic a Swedish accent for shit
The elevator ride from hell/heaven/somewhere in between finally ends
In a panicked last resort, Zack, who has been tasked with distracting Angeal, decides to eat the key to Angeal’s office with Angeal locked inside (his office was a refurbished storage room; it locked from the outside)
Sephiroth and Genesis manage to get the boxes into Angeal’s apartment with minimal difficulty
Constructing the shelf/media console:
Two hours, one set of burned instructions and one mangled IKEA prefab furniture set that now resembles modern art layer, it is constructed and set up
The tv is set up on it, and they even put some plants on the shelves!
Some highlights from the construction include:
Genesis screaming at the instruction booklet because it didn’t tell him one painfully obvious thing
Sephiroth almost drilling a hole through his hand with an electric drill
Genesis spending five minutes searching for a screw that he was sitting on
Genesis almost throwing one of the metal bars through the window because he accidentally bent it in another separate fit of rage
Sephiroth using the Masamune to cut open the boxes, almost slicing a hole in Angeal’s ugly yellow carpet he bought for five dollars at a garage sale in the process
and finally…
Angeal’s reaction!
Angeal finally gets someone to unlock him from his office and is told by a beaming Zack to come to his (Angeal’s) apartment for a birthday surprise!
He is delighted to see his two closest friends holding a banora white apple pie from a local bakery and some streamers taped crookedly to the walls in random places
The pair lead Angeal into the living room, where he is met with the sight of the glorious shelving unit
Angeal is very happy because it combines the tv stand and shelving! It’s efficient!
After celebrating for a little bit, he notices the mangled wreck that is the failed attempt, which Sephiroth and genesis had pushed into the corner in the hopes that Angeal wouldn’t notice the SEVEN FOOT TALL COALESCENCE OF TWISTED METAL AND BROKEN WOODEN PANELS
”Guys, what is that pile of junk in the corner?” Angeal asked
Genesis quickly came up with a story
”They were doing a two for one, so we decided to take the deal and turn the other into modern art to donate to the local gallery in your name! Isn’t that nice? We decided to call it ‘My house reeks of failure!’”
Angeal is skeptical but allows Genesis and Sephiroth to be proud of themselves for doing something nice for a friend, doing it successfully, and doing it without causing severe property damage.

The Tail O' the Pup is one of Los Angeles' most famous and distinctive hotdog stands, known for its unique architecture and cultural significance.
The Tail O' the Pup opened in 1946 and was originally located on La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
The stand was designed to resemble a giant hotdog in a bun, making it an example of "programmatic" or "novelty" architecture, a style where a building's design reflects its purpose.
The stand was initially operated by the dance instructor Eddie Blake and his partner, Beverly Blake.
Its unique design was intended to attract attention from passing motorists, a common strategy for roadside businesses in the mid-20th century.
Throughout the 1940s and 1950s, The Tail O' the Pup became a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.
Its whimsical design and central location in Hollywood helped it become a beloved landmark. It was a frequent haunt for celebrities and regular people, becoming embedded in the local culture.
The hotdog stand moved locations several times. It was first relocated in the 1980s due to a property development project.
This was a period of transition for many such structures, as the growth of Los Angeles forced businesses to adapt.
Due to its iconic status, efforts to preserve The Tail O' the Pup began in earnest in the 1980s and 1990s.
The stand became a symbol of Los Angeles’ cultural heritage and unique architectural history, attracting the attention of preservationists and architecture enthusiasts.
In 2005, the stand closed and was placed in storage after the lease for its then-current location was not renewed.
For over a decade, the hotdog stand's future remained uncertain, leading to growing concerns from the community about its potential demolition.
In 2016, The Tail O' the Pup was purchased by the 1933 Group, a company known for restoring historic Los Angeles landmarks.
After years of planning and restoration work, the stand reopened in 2022 at a new location on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.
The restoration efforts included refurbishing the original hotdog-shaped stand and updating the menu to appeal to modern tastes while preserving classic items.
The reopening was met with significant media coverage and enthusiastic public reception, highlighting the enduring appeal of the iconic stand.
The hotdog stand itself is a compact structure, measuring approximately 17 feet in length and about 9 feet in height.
Its design is unmistakable, featuring a giant fiberglass hotdog nestled in a bun, with a vivid yellow mustard streak along the top.
The stand is constructed primarily from fiberglass and metal, materials chosen for their durability and ability to be molded into the unique hotdog shape.
The design also incorporates windows and a service counter, where customers can order directly from the sidewalk.
The Tail O' the Pup is a prime example of programmatic architecture, a style that was popular in the United States from the 1920s to the 1950s.
This style aimed to create eye-catching buildings that represented the products or services offered within.
Such designs were particularly effective in attracting the attention of passing motorists in the car-centric culture of mid-20th-century America.
The restoration efforts undertaken by the 1933 Group focused on preserving the stand's original design while making necessary repairs and updates.
This involved restoring the original fiberglass structure and ensuring it met modern safety standards.
The Tail O' the Pup is more than just a hotdog stand; it’s an enduring symbol of Los Angeles' unique cultural landscape.
Its playful design reflects the city's history of embracing novelty and entertainment, and it has become a beloved fixture for both locals and tourists.
Over the years, The Tail O' the Pup has appeared in numerous films, TV shows, and music videos, cementing its status as a pop culture icon.
Celebrities like Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, and Jay Leno have been known to frequent the stand, adding to its allure.
The hotdog stand’s preservation and restoration efforts are a testament to the growing recognition of the importance of preserving mid-20th-century architecture.
As Los Angeles continues to evolve, The Tail O' the Pup serves as a reminder of the city’s past and the unique charm of its roadside attractions.
The reopening of The Tail O' the Pup was met with widespread community support and enthusiasm, highlighting the strong emotional connection many people have with the stand.
It has become a gathering spot where people can connect with the city’s history and each other.
The reopening of The Tail O' the Pup has contributed to the revitalization of its surrounding neighborhood.
It draws both tourists and locals, helping to boost foot traffic and economic activity in the area.
The Tail O' the Pup is a relic of a bygone era when car culture dominated Los Angeles and roadside stands were common.
It serves as a nostalgic reminder of that time, contributing to the cultural fabric of the city by representing a unique architectural style and business model.
The Tail O' the Pup stands as a quintessential piece of Los Angeles history, combining distinctive architecture with cultural and social significance.
Its revival not only preserves a piece of mid-20th-century Americana but also reinforces the importance of community, culture, and historical preservation in modern urban settings.

Modes of Surface Entertainment
Tumblr media
"Perseus, I thought you said these games of yours were stress relieving?"
"They are." he grunted.
Triton raised a perfectly groomed eyebrow at his (frankly) vicious finger smashing, "You're exuding the exact opposite of tranquilness."
"Trust me. I am calm, cool, collected, and having so much fun right now." he replied in a borderline unhinged tone, "Very relaxing."
"...Indeed."
Prince Triton had very little to base on whether that statement was true or not, but he was almost certain his brother was trying to convince himself.
He stared at the flat screen tv and tried to make sense of what exactly he was looking at, but try as he may, he couldn't grasp the novelty and settled for leaning on his brother instead.
He positively loathed being on land and made it a point to surface only when deemed absolutely necessary, he would much rather spend his time in their Lord Father's beautiful realm in the oceans, but his demigod brother practically dragged him up here when he was made aware that he, Prince Triton, had never played a video game during the entirety of his immortal existence.
And yes, the game room in Atlantis had plenty of dazzling arcade games to choose from, amongst other choices, but they didn't entice him in any way to play them at all. He could have gone the rest of his said immortal existence rather content having never known about the 'joys' of video games. Thank you very much.
But alas, here he was. Sat in their Father’s newly refurbished cabin and experiencing a mild case of dry eye of all things.
What a nuisance.
Triton summoned water between his fingers and swept them across his eyes, "How can you stand looking at these screens for so long without proper hydration?" He studied his brother closely and noticed something concerning, "Perseus, when was the last time you blinked?" the younger Prince’s expression had assumed a disturbing blank faced, wide-eyed, thousand yard stare.
"I've been working on this level for two and a half hours and I refuse to blink until I beat this one part."
Goodness, what a mess this godling of his was.
He sighed through his nose in resignation and put an arm around his brother's back, smiling fondly, "Your surface habits are very strange, but quite charming."
This amazing art piece was actually finished since Aug 2022 and my DUMBASS forgot to post it 🤡 This was originally going to be a standalone post, but since it took so damn long for me to remember I decided to write up a quick drabble to accompany it.
Permission to post the image was given to me by the incredibly talented artist on Twitter @/Lakes_DownSouth, who is an absolute GODDESS with putting up with my 2am nonsense. Please support her work here
She's also an animator! And well...let's just say I'm more than a little excited about the possibilities!

Part 5 of SMRT Rolling Stock Preview. You guys have been waiting for these 2 brothers to be previewed. Well, here it is! The 5th and 6th gen series rolling stock in the Kawasaki family.
Let me introduce you the two names. They are Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CSR Qingdao Sifang C151B and Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang C151C. Lots of people said that these train are the same variety but what about the designs? Well observation shows they are different. Let me run through the scale on these brothers.
First off is the C151B trains also known as KSF B. The Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CSR Qingdao Sifang C151B is the 5th generation rolling stock in SMRT that was manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang.
The C151B trains has it's specialized SMRT livery more commonly to the refurbished C651 (SIE). The interior on the train has no foldable seats. About the same average to the KSF A trains. The KSF B trains were manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries CRRC Qingdao Sifang and was built in Qingdao Shandong China together with the KSF C trains.
There is a huge TV screen (Staris 2.0) that shows the station information displays and advertisements. With regards on the CBTC signalling system on the North South & East West Lines, the newly freshed C151B trains were delivered to Singapore on 12 April 2017.
Under the Tuas West Extension on the East West Lines, the KSF B trains went through rigorous testing in train depots & on the mainlines to ensure the signaling system works and passenger comfort. On the 16 April 2017, first EMU set 601/602 made its debut on the North South Line for passenger service operations.
The Tuas West Extension made its opening for commuters on 16 June 2017 whereas additional of C151B train sets were also made its debut on the East West Lines during train service operations.
Lastly on the 6 May 2018, the KSF B trains deployed on the whole section on the East West Line for the CBTC signalling system full day trials.
Moving onto, the Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang C151C. One of it's greatest livery that showed the red and green symbolized the mainlines. The front logo on the driving trailer was placed by the word Land Transport Authority.
The KSF C trains is the 6th generation rolling stock series that was deployed on the North South Line on 30 September 2018 during its debut day. At Tuas West Depot, EMU set 703/704 was shown in the video preview. Inside of it, there are tip-up seats, original seatings and the Staris 2.0 more similar to the KSF B.
The tip-up seats for its purpose was to have more standing and sitting capacity for commuters.
The KSF C trains were manufactured by Kawasaki Rail Car Corp CRRC Qingdao Sifang and was built in Qingdao Shandong China. In addition, more C151C trains were purchased for more train service capacity.
During the debut day, EMU sets 701/702 & 703/704 was the first set to be deployed on the North South Line operations. But then, as the debut day went by, 703/704 had returned to the train depot due to defects on the train while 701/702 was running.
Today, all the spamming deployments of KSF trains on the North South Line are common, some of them are East West Deployments.
That's all for part 5 of SMRT rolling stock preview! Now you have a clear and better understanding about these two brothers. Same same but different. Stay tuned for more preview updates on Tumblr!

The Strauss Mansion Museum. New Jersey Paranormal Investigations recently visited and shared stories of unexplained paranormal incidents that have occurred at the residence, Atlantic Highlands, NJ.
Tumblr media
New Jersey Paranormal Investigations members JT and Sandy, make their way to the second level of the mansion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sandy shows a book that seems to act as a magnet to unexplained activity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“There’s something about this book,” said Sandy. “It seems to be a hot spot.”
Tumblr media
The book captured on camera, glowing with light.
Tumblr media
Patty, of the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society, shows how the book titled ‘The Victrola Book of the Opera’ has moved on its own.
Tumblr media
Members JT, Sandy, Barry, and Michele.
Tumblr media
A child’s wooden desk that sits in a third-floor bedroom has a lot of activity.
Tumblr media
Strauss and his wife Jeanette were dead by 1907, and the property became a revolving door. By the 1970s, the mansion fell into disrepair as an illicit boardinghouse. It was condemned in 1981 and was about to be bulldozed when it was purchased by the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society.
Tumblr media
The NJ Paranormal team is comprised of volunteers and their case studies are free of charge.
Tumblr media
In 2014 a society board member who was standing outside the house, reported seeing a black apparition pass across the second-floor bathroom window. Sandy has been studying a third-floor bathroom in a wing of the house that is closed to the public. This part of the mansion was never refurbished; it remains in its cracked-plaster state.
Tumblr media
Someone is said to have died of an overdose in the bathroom, although they’ve never found documented proof.
Tumblr media
Like any 130-year-old structure, it has warts. The roof must be replaced and the furnace is on its way out.
Tumblr media
Earlier this year, Patty struck a deal with Barry and New Jersey Paranormal Investigations: Run some fundraiser ghost-hunt events (which all have sold out) in exchange for free rein to investigate the mansion.
Tumblr media
Barry talking about the mansion. “This was the first time we went into a place where we had some type of instant activity,” he said. “Is that positive proof that it’s haunted? No. But that’s very unusual.”
Tumblr media
JT explains how a few items on a countertop moved and fell without human assistance.
Tumblr media
There have been 14 owners of the Strauss Mansion, a 21-room Queen Anne-style house, built in 1893 for a wealthy New York merchant family. The first was Adolf Strauss, who built it as a summer home with spectacular views.
Tumblr media
An observation tower that rises above the neighborhood like a vintage haunted-house spire, is an imposing place.
Tumblr media
The main mission here is to preserve history. None of the furnishings are original; they’re all authentic donations from the late-Victorian period.
Tumblr media
“A haunting doesn’t have to be from something catastrophic or murder,” Barry said. “I tell people all the time: What you see on TV or in the movies is just that — TV or the movies. Maybe a family has fond memories and they want to come back and revisit?”
Tumblr media
Take the book, for example. It was published 10 years after Adolf Strauss' death. It was donated to the mansion at some point. The team has studied the tome forward and back. Did Strauss or his wife love opera? Was there a reason it was cracked open to page 8, which features the New York Metropolitan Opera? This is not Hollywood. Sometimes, there are no answers.
Tumblr media
Michele shows a written message on the wall of an upstairs bedroom.
Tumblr media
The basement is also a main source of paranormal activity.
Tumblr media
Patty of the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society. In 2021 a security video recorded a male voice clearly yelling “get out!” at Patty and some other visitors. “Nobody heard it at the time,” Patty said.
Tumblr media
The mansion is not decked out like a theme-park haunted house, although there is an old wooden coffin that’s been the basement for longer than anyone could remember (empty, for the record).

From the Archives: Unboxing the iMac Pro FINALLY!Hey guys, it's Josh here, and today I have a super exciting unboxing video for you. Before we dive in, I need to apologize for the makeshift setup. We’re house-sitting right now, so I don’t have my usual equipment. I’m filming this with a mirrorless camera, no microphone, no tripod, and no professional lighting. But I couldn’t wait to unbox this beauty any longer, so let’s get right into it.Why I Chose the iMac ProThis isn’t just any unboxing; it's the iMac Pro, and I’m thrilled to share this moment with you. A little backstory: I purchased this from Newegg. If you’re not familiar with Newegg, it’s an amazing electronics website where you can find everything from computer components to TVs and other consumer electronics.I was specifically looking for a refurbished iMac to save some money. When I stumbled upon this Apple-certified refurbished iMac Pro on Newegg, it was a no-brainer. The deal was incredible—23% off the original retail price. To give you some numbers, a brand-new base configuration iMac Pro would set you back $4,999. Thanks to Newegg, I got this one for $3,849. Even better, Newegg didn’t charge sales tax, unlike Apple’s official refurbished section, which had this model priced over $4,000 plus tax. So, I managed to save a significant amount of money, which is always a win.Unboxing the iMac ProAlright, enough about the backstory—let’s get to the unboxing! The packaging is top-notch, with a sturdy foam box to protect the contents during shipping. I remember my previous iMacs having pictures on the box, but this one is all about minimalism, featuring just the serial number and specs on the side.As I peel off the Apple tape and open the box, the first thing that catches my eye is the keyboard. It’s a sleek, dark color, which I love because it won’t show dirt and grime as easily as the white ones. Plus, it has a number pad—a must-have for me. Alongside the keyboard, there’s the Magic Mouse, also in black. While I appreciate the aesthetic, I actually prefer using a Logitech thumb-ball mouse for ergonomic reasons. Now, for the main event—the iMac Pro itself. The packaging here is interesting; instead of the usual foam, it's housed in a specially molded cardboard, ensuring a snug fit. The power cable is neatly wrapped, adding to the overall premium feel.First Impressions and SetupBreaking the seal and pulling out the iMac Pro, I’m reminded of the old saying, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” This machine is stunning. I’ve been working with underpowered computers for far too long. My previous setup was a 2012 MacBook Pro, and in 2019, it just couldn’t keep up with my needs anymore. Prior to that, I built my own Windows machines, but always on a tight budget, so they were never top-of-the-line.Setting up the iMac Pro is going to revolutionize my workspace. I have a TV and an external monitor ready to go, plus some audio monitors that I plan to get stands for. This setup is going to be a game-changer for my productivity and creativity.Final ThoughtsUnboxing this iMac Pro has been a thrilling experience, and I can’t wait to start using it. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up, and don’t forget to subscribe for more tech content. And if you’re ever in need of phone repairs or tech advice, I highly recommend Gadget Kings PRS. They are the best in the business for phone repairs. Check them out at Gadget Kings PRS.Thanks for watching, and I’ll catch you next time!

Humanity's desire to create meaningful connections with nature has persisted for thousands of years. Throughout history, our ancestors have worked to interweave the built and organic realms. But as the climate crisis increasingly impacts the construction industry, biophilic design is experiencing something of a renaissance.
Incorporating organic elements and processes into architectural practice can produce soothing spaces that enhance physical and mental well-being. Biophilic design can help reduce carbon emissions and propose natural solutions to improve air quality, regulate ventilation, temperature and noise, and manage stormwater. Architects are demonstrating increasingly innovative ways to incorporate the wisdom of nature into cutting-edge schemes.
These projects cleverly combine architecture and foliage in surprising and unexpected ways. Explore an exciting new blueprint for how living organisms can inspire future developments – that’s biophilia.
This bold conceptual design aims to transform a dark, moldy building in Vinh into a nature-focused wellness spa. The ambitious scheme uses modular concrete planters to adorn the facade, creating a striking and dynamic skin. Filled with greenery, the building will be reborn as a living, breathing ecosystem in the heart of the city.
A verdant atrium will be the thriving centerpiece of the refurbishment scheme, topped with skylights that dapple the treatment spaces with natural light. In this tranquil oasis, the hustle and bustle of the cityscape will fade into a distant memory.

As we all know, the so-called eight arts are social ideologies that reflect reality but are more typical than reality, including eight categories: literature, painting, music, dance, sculpture, drama, architecture, and film. However, with the development of society, various new carriers are constantly being produced, so the Ninth Art that is waiting for its place is being competed back and forth by various art fields. Before 2007, the competition for the Ninth Art mainly revolved around TV art and comic art.
In 2007, the FPS game BIOSHOCK developed by Irrational Games, with its excellent game quality and game connotation, almost immediately elevated the artistry of video games to the point where it could join the competition of the ninth art.
When I first played this game, I was shocked by the underwater utopia in the game. BIOSHOCK constructs a false but real utopia for players. This game has a sufficiently self-consistent world view setting and a unified art style. . This trilogy has always maintained a relatively unified art style, that is, retro-futurism, and this fusion of retro feelings and science fiction magic brings a unique artistic temperament to the game, this mixed atmosphere of illusion and reality. Triggered my thoughts and memories.
The retrofuturistic trend refers to the imitation of early futuristic design styles in contemporary art. This design style combines retro style with technological futuristic style, usually reflecting early artists' vision of the future, as a parallel to reality. Time and space are general.
The art styles included include steampunk and dieselpunk, and BISHOCK’s mechanical settings heavily use elements of these two styles.
As you can imagine, countless reinforced concrete buildings stand tall. Huge mechanical structures, spiral arms, gears, exposed pipes, and wires all reveal the power and brutality of technology. Heavy industrial-style buildings lack decoration but are full of power and beauty. They are a symbol of productivity and strong technology. However, on the streets, European-style low and simple shopping streets can be seen everywhere. The complicated carvings and rivet-reinforced decorations have very obvious symbols of the old times. This early art style combination is very suitable for The imagination of future technology is actually almost a distorted interpretation of real society. The bizarre steampunk world actually reflects the current living conditions of people everywhere.
BIOSHOCK's worldview also contains a lot of reflections on the development of science and technology. The technological development of the cities in the game is much higher than that of the real world. However, this deformed technology deteriorates sharply after it brings short-term benefits. The abuse of technological technology leads to chaos and war. Residents are driven crazy by biochemical products and have ambitions. Architects and scientists continue to produce creations that are far more terrifying than "Frankenstein". These creations made of machines and human bodies are actually a warning to the development of science. Such products that violate the laws of nature bring only fear and confusion.

Naoshima Art Museum was designed by architect Tadao Ando. It is a semi-underground building with an interior display of paintings and sculptures from the 1960s to the present. The building blends in with its natural surroundings to create a tranquil and dynamic space.
The building is known for its unique and sophisticated architectural design. His design focuses on the natural environment, the flow of space and light, and harmonizes with the surroundings to create an immersive artistic experience.
This project highlights the integration of architecture with the environment. The design of the museum seamlessly connects the natural landscape with the building, making the museum part of the landscape rather than a separate entity. This integration demonstrates an attitude of design that is sensitive and respectful of the environment, which has influenced my thinking about designing with environmental considerations and integrating with the surrounding environment. The Naoshima Art Museum demonstrates the harmonious symbiosis of architecture, art, and nature, a concept that has had a profound effect on my design philosophy and has stimulated my interest in creativity, spatial design, and integration with the environment.

ANTIREALITY Designs Ocean Gate Underwater Observatory Concept for the Bahamas
The Observatory is an architectural concept that aims to create a "gateway" that opens the coast to the underwater world of flora and fauna. The object is located in the coastal area, creating a spatial connector between the beach and the sea. The aim of the project is to try to create a marine observatory whose structure will integrate well with the beach area without overwhelming the seaside landscape. The body of the building refers both to the form of the waves and to the biological species typical of the marine area. The structure of the Ocean Gate evokes a connection to the giant shells that separate the ocean waters in a smooth manner. The architectural shape is intended to encourage passersby to venture into the underwater realm.
Ocean Gate includes a water plaza that integrates the building with the beach, a shell that serves as a connector between the outside world and the ocean interior, a glass tube that serves as an observation space, and a structure that is completely submerged in seawater.
The streamlined shape of the building is not the only attempt to interpret the watery form, aiming to make the structure an integral part of the beach in harmony with its space. An important element that permits the introduction of a maritime nature is the exterior cladding, the only part of the building that appears above the water. The façade of the shell is covered with aluminum tiles whose metallic form references fish scales. The elements of the exterior cover reflect the surroundings, thus helping the object to be optically immersed in the sea basin.
The structure of the Ocean Gate consists of two basic parts: the shell and the tube. The load-bearing system of the shell consists of a steel frame whose shape corresponds to the façade structure that can be seen in the visualization. The tube is part of the object made entirely of glass and is supported by the steel frame. Its width varies with the depth at which it is located.
This architectural concept is in perfect harmony with the natural environment, as well as respect for the environment and ecology. Such a creative concept can inspire creative ideas in the field of architecture and design.
It reminds me to create a building that respects and integrates with the environment and is in harmony with nature. This integration is crucial for modern architectural design, especially when looking towards the future, where sustainability and environmental protection need to be considered. Secondly, the innovative nature of this concept has inspired me to be more daring and creative in my architectural design. It demonstrates the designer's abstraction of natural elements such as sea creatures and waves into architectural forms, and this creativity has inspired me to try to incorporate different natural elements into my designs in order to create a unique architectural experience.
Most importantly, this concept made me realize that architecture is not just an independent physical structure; it can be an ecosystem that interacts with the environment and nature. This new perspective is very important for the future of architectural design and sustainability, as we need solutions that are more environmentally friendly, integrate with nature, and are in harmony with ecology.

"The Third & The Seventh" is a remarkable short digital art film, known for its brilliant visuals and masterful architectural design. Created by Alex Roman, it presents exquisite and stunning fictionalized architectural scenes and a high degree of attention to light and detail.
The architectural design in the movie is presented in a highly modern and artistic way. The geometric shapes and lines of the buildings are extremely clean and smooth, embodying the essence of modern architectural design. Through bold geometric structures and the perfect fusion of curves and straight lines, the designers create unique and charismatic buildings that give people a sense of the future and science fiction. This kind of architectural design fully embodies the pursuit of innovation and advanced technology, showing the diversity and creativity of modern architecture.
Secondly, the use of light and shadow in the movie shows the artist's superior technology and aesthetic vision. Light is carefully designed and utilized in the film to create a real and dramatic effect. The flow, change and projection of light and shadow make the buildings present a unique sense of three-dimensionality and hierarchy. In particular, the representation of the glass material demonstrates its high fidelity and reflection effect, making the buildings look more realistic and artistic.
In addition, the details in the movie are very delicate and rich. The artist pays attention to every detail of the sculpture, from the texture and material of the building to the accessories and small objects, all of which show a high level of quality and attention. These details make the whole scene richer and more vivid, and emphasize the precision and complexity of modern architecture.
At the same time it sparked my interest in digital art and architecture and gave me a deeper understanding of the intersection between these two fields. I began to explore how digital technology can be used to create more creative and avant-garde architectural designs, and how the beauty of modern architecture can be expressed through art.
It revealed to me the importance of light and shadow and details. The lighting effects in the movie were extremely subtle and made me start to pay more attention to the importance of light in architecture and art creation. In my work, I try to create more attractive and vivid scenes through the careful design and use of light.

The spatial sequence of the building is formed by natural basic forms, circles, triangles, rectangles and even arches, which, after forming a rhythm, form a "whole" in themselves through organic organization.
This is a modular building developed by Studio Precht. The high-rise building is made up of simple A-modules, with a large number of planting spaces connecting the inhabitants with agriculture.
Each A-module can take on the dual function of living and growing, while the residents can design their own living space - there are a variety of builds to choose from: a growing unit, a waste treatment unit, a water treatment unit, a solar powered unit, etc.
This project is to consider the building as a part of nature, and to complete the interaction and integration with nature through the creation of planting space. Crops are growing, human beings are living, completing all the processes that living organisms need to go through in the cycle of the seasons, and at the same time, in this process, the building itself seems to be sent to life, completing its mission in the natural world.
In Chinese Taoism, there is the concept of "Taoism begets one, two begets two, two begets three, and three begets all things". In Chinese Taoism, there is the concept of "Tao begets one, two begets two, two begets three, and three begets everything". Life begins with a small cell, through a variety of organic combinations, the formation of a common role of organs, systems, and finally formed a living body. So my building will also adopt this naturalistic style.

In Japanese style, returning to nature is the biggest feature. Whether in the design of color, function and shape, it pushes close to nature and emphasizes naturalism, so that users have the feeling of being in nature. In modern society, the pace of life is getting faster and faster, and the pursuit of material things has become the main goal of everyone. However, over time, the Wabi-sabi style, which emphasizes the aesthetics of nature and balance, came into being. The core concept of wabi-sabi style is minimalism and natural aesthetics. It advocates designing and decorating the home space according to the natural environment, so that the living environment closely follows the footsteps of nature, and combines the natural color texture of materials and the special scent of natural materials to give people a sense of returning to the basics and feeling at ease. In the wabi-sabi style home, there is no excessive furniture and decorations, everything is simple, natural and quiet wabi-sabi style through the combination of minimalism and natural aesthetics, so that people re-examine their own lives and hearts, the pursuit of true inner beauty. So if I want to create a building hidden in nature this style is very suitable.

The architects decided to drill holes in the slope instead of building on the ground. A key concept for this building was the use of local materials, such as stone extracted from the plot. The use of raw materials for this building (stone, exposed concrete, wood and steel) enhances the impression of living in a natural space. The ruggedness of the materials is combined with the elegance of the details to create an environment that is simple yet warm, sophisticated and completely connected to nature.
