doubts
drew starkey x younger!reader (like 19/20 sorry not sorry đ), reader calls drew âpapaâ *not in a weird way*, smut, in love w the age gap concept cus of @native2princess ! <3
you watched yet another video on the internet of drew down at disney world without you, but with his friend group that all had a few years on you.
he would send pictures of everything that was cute or that reminded him of you, and you really did appreciate it. but it still didnât swallow the lingering feeling in your gut.
you werenât even invited. it was obvious why since you couldnât even buy a drink legally, let alone not even close with half of them, but for some reason it still hurt and had you questioning things even further about everything.
you swore that you guys were drifting apart.
not only did that make you sad, but it also left you scared and questioning everything.
the only thing that made you wonder why you two were drifting like you thought you were was because of the age gap.
was he getting tired of you? was the age gap starting to become a burden? were you just too immature?
and letâs not even get started on how drew acted around his female friends â that were once again a lot older.
all you could do was just cry. it was a dumb reason to cry about, but you donât wanna lose drew yet you really think you are. he was your first and you hoped heâd be your last, but who knows where you two may end up?
seeing how he acted with his friends currently was already ruining you. now you found yourself down a rabbit hole of searching through old videos of him before you were even dating.
it was crazy, of course you were aware of that. but it did nothing but further increase your worries seeing how he would act around these girls. all older than you and all more outgoing.
so now here you were, stalking your own boyfriend while you sat in your bed, silent tears streaming down your face.
currently, drew was now in paris for the fashion show. he wanted you to come, but it would be too difficult for you. plus school had just ended and both of you knew that you were planning to spend more time with your family this summer.
regardless of that, this feeling was awful. youâve had old puppy-love heart breaks during highschool with guys you dated just to say you were in a relationship, but this is real. a real committed relationship youâre in with a guy a little over 10 years older than you.
heâs so mature. so are you, but not entirely. you still had a lot more to experience and learn, and he was always so patient.
but maybe now that patience was wearing thin.
you sniffle one more time before closing out all your apps and throwing your phone on the nightstand next to you. wanting to sleep it off and praying youâd wake up feeling better, your insides just were not letting that happen. not to mention you couldnât fall asleep without at least getting a goodnight text from him.
laying down was no use. as soon as you tried to lay your head down on the pillow and just relax, the overthinking just continued to grow. there was no escape from these thoughts and it was just eating you straight alive.
you huff while turning over, switching sides and seeing if that would help. spoiler: it didnât.
all you could do now is groan while sitting up. a certain thought ran through your mind that you really didnât want to go through with, but did you have a choice? you already felt as if the end of things are near, so why let him break your heart (even though youâd be expecting it) when you can just do it the hard part first?
with a sigh, you reached over to grab your phone and open drewâs contact. everything was making you sick. you just stared at the screen, skimming over the conversation you had earlier.
it was the usual. âhows your dayâ, âi miss youâ, âthis reminded me of usâ, all the cute stuff.
but it just didnât hit the same. that feeling of him leaving you because of your age wasnât going anywhere, and it was making you feel insecure on extreme ends
your fingers started typing. there were no real thoughts, just your pure raw emotions. you hit backspace a couple of times, you sat there and thought about the next few words you were going to say, but eventually you got it all put together it pained you type, but it pained you even more contemplating on whether or not you should send it.
âhey drew. iâve been missing you a lot recently and i know itâs weird and youâre going to question why i sent this after you read it, but im sorry. i really do feel like youâre leaving me soon and itâs taking a toll on me badly. i donât want this to end but i can tell that it is and i just know + feel like weâre drifting apart. i feel like itâs because of my age so i really do understand and respect that. we can talk more once you get back because i hate to do this over text but i canât just bottle my feelings anymore. goodnight đ©·â
a few more seconds of contemplation, you hit send and stared at the screen. you didnât know how he would respond so you shouldâve been shutting off your phone and running away.
but you didnât. you stared at the screen and waited until he read it.
thankfully, it didnât take him any longer than three minutes to open your message, and soon after, the dots were bubbling.
drew himself was lost. confused wasnât even the word for the long paragraph you just sent him. he even started triple texting you.
â???â
âwhat are you talking about baby?â
âiâm so lostâ
you sighed reading his texts. he didnât get it, realistically you shouldnât have expected him to. it was out of the blue, and little to your knowledge, he didnât think for a second anything was wrong between you too.
when you didnât answer him as soon as you read it, he went back to typing.
âanswer meâ
âiâm really confused and worried. itâd be nice if you stopped leaving me on readâ
âcall me nowâ
you didnât even have a chance to start typing because you had an incoming call with drewâs name on it. you didnât wanna pick up, but you knew you had to because if the roles were reversed, oh youâd definitely be throwing a fit.
swallowing quickly, you hit the green answer button to drewâs facetime call but moved your face out of the camera.
heâs walking, most likely back to his hotel with furrowed eyebrows and an expression that you think showed⊠annoyance?
drewâs the first one to speak up, ây/n, what the hell are you talking about?â he says sounding very confused and very upset as well.
âi feel like weâre drifting apart apart i donât know.â you replied. your voice isnât even a third as stern as his. itâs not stern at all nor convincing.
âwhere is that coming from? what are you talking about itâs our ages?â he questions you again.
you really hoped a fan wouldnât come up to him. not because it would interrupt the call, but because they would be walking up on him pissed off and getting a taste of his very apparent bad mood.
you sighed, âitâs just how i feel. maybe iâm not mature enough for this.â
his face scrunches with confusion even further. he then looks down to his screen to see the ceiling you were showing.
âwhy do you all of a sudden feel this way? you are mature. if you werenât, this relationship wouldnât be a thing in the first place.â
this was something else you wanted to avoid; him being mad at you. you hated making him upset and now that you were already upset, and he was just getting annoyed with you, it wasnât helping and it made you feel worse.
âshow me your face baby. you know i donât like talking to walls.â he says once you donât respond to his actual voice this time.
reluctantly, you put your face in the screen. sitting up and cuddling onto your bed sheets.
ây/n, nothing is wrong. we arenât drifting apart at all so i donât know why you feel otherwise. weâre okay and you know this, baby. stop overthinking.â he reassures you.
before you could finally respond with anything else, you heard a few girls calling his name from the other side of his phone. good luck to them!
âiâll call you back. weâre not done talking.â he says, then swiftly hangs up.
you wanted to puke. you hated being in any type of conflict with people, let alone being in one with drew.
a headache was starting to form, and it forced you to lay back down and sleep. you kept your phone right next to you on your bed, just in case drew woke you up by ringing your phone again.
â
you werenât sure when the previous night you fell asleep, but you didnât wake up until 12 the next day. and that was due to your doorbell ringing multiple times at once.
you whined at the fact you had to leave your warm bed, but you slowly made your way down your apartmentâs stairs, rubbing your eyes and forcing yourself to wake up.
opening the door ready to curse out whoever had the nerve to wake you up at this hour, it was drew standing at the door with flowers in one hand and his stuff in the other.
now this is what really woke you up.
âhow are you hereâŠ?â you questioned.
he exhales, âsoon as we hung up yesterday i checked out and booked a flight here. we really need to talk in person.
you step to the side to let him in, then he shuts the door behind him and hands you the flowers.
both of you take a seat at the table. âi need you to fully explain what youâre feeling. that paragraph honestly made no sense and as soon as i read the whole thing i knew i had to get down here.â he says.
you press your lips together before speaking. âiâm sorry.â
he makes a face of puzzlement and also motions for you to keep going.
âmaybe im not mature enough for this, drew. i donât know.â
âwhat makes you think that? what happened or what did i do that has you questioning everything?â he asks, reaching out for your hand.
you sniffle before continuing, âi just feel like im holding you back. youâre buying drinks, going to clubs and hanging out with your friends who are all around your age and im still in school. itâs not working-â
he cuts you off before you can finish that. âthose arenât reasons, baby. it is working. do you feel left out or something?â
âno itâs just,â
thereâs a pause before he says something again, âjust what? i donât understand whatâs got you so in your head.
âi donât know how to explain it. i just think youâre drifting from me because of where weâre at in life and i hate it.â the words finally form, and you can feel a little bit of weight being lifted off your chest now that youâve got it out.
his expression now shows a face of understanding, then heâs standing up and swiftly making his way over to you, lifting you up before securing your legs around him.
you let out a squeal at the action. when he was balanced, he made his way upstairs to your room with you in his arms.
stepping into your decorated room, he throws you down on the bed then hovers over you. âiâm gonna prove to you that you deserve this relationship.â
his lips make their way to your jaw, leaving little lovebites on them, then down to your neck and chest.
your hands fly to his buzzed head. you let out soft sighs at his lips being on your body, a feeling you loved the most.
his hands travel to your pajama shorts then dipped into the waistband of your panties. as hes taking them both off at the same time, he distracts you by now placing his lips on yours, slowly making out with you.
now your hands are taking action, working to get is shirt off to see his toned body once again. when itâs off, one hand is still on his head while the other goes down to his abs, feeling on him.
now heâs starting to get quick, fumbling with his belt and pants, ready to do you into the mattress.
sooner than later, both of your clothes are off and in random sports throughout the room.
his middle and ring finger are inside you, stretching your out as you moan and grind into his hand.
drewâs cock is laying there on your stomach, practically reaching your ribs. this was just another reminder of how deep he really goes when fucking you.
you could barely keep your eyes on him while his fingers worked you. âthat feel good?â
you moan out a âyea.â you definitely couldnât let him go. the way he could make you fall apart with just his fingers is crazy as it is.
âi bet, baby. already so wet. you know what you want huh?â he coos.
this makes you nod. âwant your cock, please.â you reach your hand down to where it rested on you, but he moves your hand away.
âi know you do. but i need this pussy stretched and ready for me.â he responds
âi can take it! promise! just give it to me,â you whine.
drew gives in at your begging. he removes his fingers from inside you before sticking them in your mouth.
he grabs his cock before lining it up with your entrance. he slowly pushes in, making you whimper around his fingers. it hurt a little bit, but the pleasure overrode the pain.
âshhh,â he hushes you, putting his cock in all the way and forcing you to take all that he gave you.
you continued to let out sounds because of the pleasure he was giving you. drew was letting out groans of content himself.
âfeels so good, baby. so fucking good.â he throws his head back.
his words did nothing but turn you on more. your eyes squeeze shut before you guide his hand out of your mouth and onto your throat, signaling what you want from him.
he smirks before moving his other hand to your throat, choking you slightly but enough that you can still breathe.
âyea you like when i go hard on you, right baby? this pussy just loves when i go rough on her, doesnât she?â he teases.
âmhm!â you squeak, loving the feeling of just taking all of him so deep and so rough.
he makes your legs cross completely around him before leaning down into your neck.
this was your favorite position. you being on your back, him groaning in your hear and putting hickeys on your neck, it was so much at once and you loved it real bad.
his lips are right next to your ear. âiâm not going anywhere, yeah?â
he lets out another sound before continuing, âyouâre not leaving me either. neither of us are going anywhere.
your breath catches in your throat when he says this. maybe this was all you needed. some reassurance, and a good pounding to go with it.
he sits up before pulling out to turn you around. now that youâre flat on your stomach, he slides right back in with a hand on your lower back right before your butt and the other pushing your head down into the pillows.
you screamed out when he started thrusting all over again. it hurt so good, you just wanted to do this forever him.
you tried to move away slightly because he was just going ham on your poor hole. but all it took was you reaching one hand up, gripping the sheets and trying to pull away before he yanked your head back by your hair. he then brought your back up to his chest and held you by your throat.
âstop running, baby.â he growls into your ear.
âitâs so deep tho, papa.â your eyes squeeze shut as your mouth hangs open.
he kisses right below your ear, âyouâre fine.â
that bubbly feeling started to form again. you were about to cum, and somehow drew could always tell too.
âknow youâre gonna cum, mama. hold that shit.â he tells you as he pushes you back into the sheets.
right now that request just didnât seem possible. âi canât!â
he gives your right cheek a firm slap. âyou can and you will. donât make me say it again.â
you guys stay in this position for a while. him just hitting it from the back deep and all you needed to do was lay there and take it like a good girl.
his good girl.
suddenly, he flips you back over, then lays down himself setting you on top. now heâs got his feet planted on the bed, thrusting up into you.
at this angle, you guys can see the belly bulge happening from how deep his cock was. just proving how big he really is again.
âsee that baby? thatâs me. all up in those guts.â he says to you.
you throw your head back, but he cups the back of your head to bring you down into him, chest to chest.
âyâthe only one who gets fucked like this. yâknow that? only one who deserves it too,â his arms wrap around your waist now. âonly fucking one.â
his lips are practically on your ear as he says this. youâre only able to nod, but he wants to hear your voice.
âtell me you understand that baby, say it.â his thrusts slow down, but there still deep, and heâs angling it to make sure heâs hitting that good spot.
âiâŠâ
another slap hits on to your cheek. âsay it, princess.â
âyes! i understand!â you finally moan out.
âyes who, baby?â
âyes papa!â your voice is weak now.
he smirks at your submission and continues to fuck you hard. more than just a few thrusts later, heâs letting out a lot more groans than what he already was.
âshit baby⊠yâgonna make me cum soon. you gonna let me put it in you, hm?â
âdrewâŠâ
his hips are starting to stutter. âknow youâre ready to cum too. been holding it in like papa told you too, good girl. fuckk.â
his arms are really really squeezing around your waist, keeping you still so you canât try and move from his brutal thrusts.
âcum with me baby girl. got a big load for you.â he moans.
âdonât knock me up.â as good as the moment felt right now, you were dead serious about that.
he chuckles, âi wonât baby. know you wanna feel that cum all in your stomach tho.â
you moan one last time before finally cumming around him. you couldnât hold it back anymore, no matter how much he told you to wait for him.
but your own orgasm sent his off. he felt you come undone around him, and two seconds later you felt his hot sperm fill you up.
drewâs arms moved from around your waist to seriously gripping your hips down, not letting you waist a drop of what he had to give you.
moans and deep breaths were coming from the both of you. that was the most intense sex you guys had for a while, not to mention the first time heâs actually came inside you.
when he finally came down from his high, he slowly pulled out of you and just let you rest on his chest.
âthank you,â you quietly speak up.
he doesnât respond, but he smiles and kisses your forehead.
minutes after just sitting in silence, he sits up against your headboard and takes your face into your hands.
âbaby, when i say youre what i want i mean it. if you werenât mature enough for me, i wouldnât still be here.â he says. you donât actually answer, you want him to keep going.
âi love you so much, sweetheart. nothing about that is going to change and nothing can make it change. i donât know what you saw or if i did something, but im sorry. okay?â
you nod with a smile. âokay.â
he smiles back at you then pressed his lips against yours, giving you a nice firm kiss. which slowly turned into a makeout.
you guys pull away just to catch your breath, âwe gotta get you packed up, sweetheart.â
âfor what?â you ask.
âiâm taking you back to paris with me.â

Savanaclaw, Scarabia with a Silly but mature! reader
i think i see your vision anon đ«Ą Thank you for the request!
also the inbox is open for all requests, there's no need to be sorry!
Leona Kingscholar
Leona was lounging under a tree, as usual, his eyes half-closed as you plopped down beside him. You had that mischievous smile again, and he braced himself for whatever nonsense you were about to spout.
âLeona, did I ever tell you about the time I accidentally declared myself queen of a lost kingdom? Oh yeah, I was leading a parade for my circus when we stumbled upon this hidden city in the desert. They hadnât seen outsiders in centuries, and for some reason, they thought my outfit meant I was royalty. Long story short, I ruled for a dayâhad a crown and everything.â
Leona cracked an eye open, staring at you. âYou? A queen?â
âYep. But donât worry, I abdicated the next morning. Told them it wasnât for me. Too much responsibility, you know?â You laughed, completely at ease, as if you hadnât just described one of the most ridiculous situations ever.
Leona groaned. âYouâve gotta be making this stuff up.â
âNope! 100% true. I even have pictures of the royal llama they gave me as a parting gift.â You winked, leaving Leona wondering whether you were serious or just really good at telling tall tales.
But later that day, a real problem cropped up in Savanaclaw. Some of the younger students had gotten into a fight, and it was escalating fast. Leona, grumbling, was about to step in when you, with a surprisingly firm tone, intervened.
âHey! Knock it off!â you commanded, standing between the feuding students with a calm but authoritative air. âFightingâs not going to solve this. You need to talk it outâwhatâs going on?â
To Leonaâs surprise, they actually stopped. You took each of them aside, patiently listening and guiding them to a resolution, diffusing the situation before it could spiral. Once things calmed down, you turned back to Leona with a smile, as if nothing unusual had happened.
âSee? All it takes is a bit of patience.â
Leona stared at you, genuinely impressed. âYouâre... not as dumb as you act, are you?â
âOnly when itâs convenient,â you replied, your grin back in full force. But there was a warmth behind your eyes, a quiet confidence that made Leonaâs chest tighten. For once, he didnât have a sarcastic comeback, just a lingering thought that maybe you were a lot more than you seemed.
Ruggie Bucchi
Ruggie was used to your wild stories by now, but every time you shared one, it still left him shaking his head in disbelief. Today, you were telling him about one of your most outlandish adventures yet.
âSo, Ruggie, did I ever mention the time I accidentally joined a pirate crew? My circus got shipwrecked on this random island, and before I knew it, I was swabbing the deck of a pirate ship. They thought I was this legendary thief, and I just rolled with it. Spent the whole month trying to convince them to switch to legal tradeâpretty sure I turned them into a merchant fleet by the end.â
Ruggie almost choked on his snack. âYou? A pirate? No way.â
âTrue story! They even gave me a parrot. Named him Biscuit.â You grinned like this was the most normal thing in the world.
Ruggie shook his head, laughing. âYouâre somethinâ else, yâknow that?â
But not long after, a real problem popped up. One of the younger students in Scarabia had been short on money, and there was a mix-up with their scholarship. The kid was panicking, unsure how to fix it. While Ruggie was good at hustling, this wasnât his field of expertise. He figured the situation was about to get messy.
Then you stepped in, calmly talking to the student. âHey, donât worry. Weâll figure this out. Let me help.â
You guided the student through the bureaucratic mess, making calls, filling out forms, and working things out with Scarabiaâs administration. By the end of it, everything was sorted, and the student left with a grateful smile.
âYou handled that like a pro,â Ruggie commented, impressed. He hadnât expected you to know your way around serious issues like that.
âSometimes life throws you curveballs, and youâve gotta handle them with a cool head,â you said with a wink. âIâve got practice from managing a circus, after all.â
Ruggie chuckled, but the admiration in his eyes was clear. âYouâre full of surprises.â
âGood surprises, I hope?â
âThe best kind,â Ruggie grinned, feeling his heart skip a beat. You might act goofy, but there was something about you that kept pulling him in.
Jack Howl
Jack was used to your carefree attitude by now, but your stories never failed to catch him off guard. Today, you were regaling him with a tale so absurd he didnât even know how to respond.
âSo, Jack, did I ever tell you about the time I accidentally tamed a dragon? Itâs true! I was performing in a mountain village when this dragon showed up, all angry and roaring. Turns out, he had a thorn in his foot. Once I pulled it out, we became best buds. He even gave me a ride back home.â
Jack slowed his jog, staring at you incredulously. âYouâre telling me you... tamed a dragon? Just like that?â
âYep! He was actually really sweet once he wasnât in pain. Kinda like a giant puppy.â You laughed, completely unfazed by how insane the story sounded.
Jack shook his head, half-impressed, half-baffled. âYouâre something else.â
But later, when a real problem cropped upâa couple of first-years lost their way in the forest near campusâyour goofy demeanor melted away, replaced by a calm, focused attitude. Jack was ready to run in headfirst, but you stopped him.
âWait, Jack. If we charge in, we might get lost too. Letâs think this through.â
You took a moment to assess the situation, coming up with a plan that involved splitting up into small, safe search parties. You helped guide the students back, your calm leadership reassuring everyone involved.
Jack was impressed. âYou... really know how to handle things when it matters.â
You smiled softly, shrugging. âI guess when youâve been through enough crazy stuff, you learn how to stay calm.â
Jack couldnât help but admire you. You might be goofy, but you had a strong sense of responsibility underneath it all. And, more than anything, he liked that you didnât lose your lightheartedness, even when things got tough.
âYouâre amazing, you know that?â Jack muttered, a little flustered.
You grinned. âJust doing my best. But thanks, Jack.â
Kalim Al-Asim
Kalim was always delighted by your stories, and today, you had another one to tell that had him practically bouncing in excitement.
âSo, Kalim, did I ever tell you about the time I accidentally became the head chef for an underwater banquet? We were traveling with the circus near a coastal city, and somehow, I got mistaken for a famous sea chef. Next thing I knew, I was cooking for a bunch of merfolk. It wasnât too bad, except for the fact that the main course was supposed to be jellyfish. Do you know how hard it is to cook jellyfish?â
Kalimâs eyes went wide with fascination. âNo way! What did you do?â
âWell, I just winged it! Turns out, jellyfish isnât that bad if you deep fry it. The merfolk loved it, though I think one of them mightâve cried because I didnât use enough seaweed seasoning.â You giggled at the memory, and Kalim burst into laughter beside you.
âThatâs amazing! You always have the best stories!â Kalim grinned from ear to ear, completely charmed by your carefree attitude.
But later, as a group of students caused a commotion in Scarabia over some miscommunication regarding event planning, Kalim started to get overwhelmed. The party plans were a mess, and everyone was panicking.
Before Kalim could start spiraling, you placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. âKalim, itâs okay. We can fix this.â
You quickly took charge, calmly directing people, assigning tasks, and helping resolve the confusion with remarkable ease. Despite the chaos, you remained collected and responsible, ensuring everything got back on track. By the end of it, the students were thanking you for saving the event.
Kalim watched you in awe, his heart swelling with admiration. âWow, youâre amazing at this! I didnât even think about half of the things you just did!â
You smiled, a little sheepishly. âIâve learned a thing or two from managing my own circus. Keeping things organized is important when youâve got that many moving parts.â
Kalim beamed, his admiration growing even more. âYouâre incredible! I love how you can be so fun and carefree but also super responsible when it matters.â
You laughed. âWell, I canât have you stressing out, can I?â
Kalimâs heart fluttered as he realized just how much he adored every part of youâthe goofy, lighthearted side and the calm, mature side that always seemed to have everything under control.
âIâm lucky to have you around,â he admitted softly, his face turning pink.
You grinned, nudging him playfully. âAnd Iâm lucky to have someone who enjoys my stories. We make a good team.â
Jamil Viper
Jamil wasnât one to get distracted easily, but you had a way of getting under his skin, especially with the wild stories you told so casually.
âSo, Jamil, you know how everyone has a weird family tradition? Mine is... accidentally kidnapping a sultanâs pet tiger. Oh, it wasnât on purpose, of course! The circus was performing in this palace, and I thought it was part of the act. Turns out, it was the sultanâs favorite tiger. Had to smooth things over with a five-course apology dinner. But hey, I got to keep a gold plate as a souvenir.â
Jamil blinked, his expression somewhere between disbelief and amusement. âYou... kidnapped a royal tiger?â
âYep! Accidentally, though. I gave it back!â you laughed, completely unfazed by how wild the story was. âBut I did manage to calm the sultan down. Turns out, Iâm pretty good at apologizing.â
Jamil shook his head, exhaling a slow breath. âI donât know how you manage to stay so calm in situations like that.â
âWell, when you run a circus, you learn to roll with the punches,â you winked.
Later that evening, when a situation arose with a group of students causing chaos in Scarabia, you stepped up before Jamil could even lift a finger.
âHold on, Iâll talk to them,â you said, stepping forward.
With a calm but firm approach, you quickly diffused the situation, guiding the students to settle down and offering solutions to their grievances. You did it all without raising your voice, just being patient and understanding.
Jamil watched, impressed at how you handled everything so smoothly. Once the students dispersed, he approached you with a newfound respect in his eyes.
âYouâre... more capable than you let on,â he admitted, glancing away.
You smiled, not smugly, but warmly. âI just know when itâs time to be serious. Someoneâs gotta keep the peace around here.â
Jamilâs heart skipped a beat. Maybe there was more to your lighthearted nature than he initially thought.

Grief is an impregnable fortress, an all consuming void that, once toppled into, feels impossible to escape. When grief turns to rage, there is the false belief that one has found freedom, however, it is merely the act of replacing the bars of a cage with anger instead of sorrow. The emotions vibrate at a differing frequency, yet the imprisonment is fortified with equally devastating consequences.
The air is thick as Aemond dismounts from Vhagar, the sulphurous stench of dragonfire clings to his leather riding coat like a shroud as his boots crunch heavily across the gravel, leading him back towards the imposing ruin of Harrenhal. His skin is hot, he can feel the soot that darkens the ends of his snow white hair also sticking to the flesh of his cheeks. There is no time to pause and wipe it away, not when duty awaits.
The heavy oak doors creak as he pushes them open, revealing the men that sit around the long table in the centre of the room - his war council - dwindled to a paltry number since the war began. They stand as he enters, each of them look ashen faced, none standing quite as proudly as they once had. He swallows thickly, before addressing them.
âBe seated,â he snaps dismissively. âHave the Riverlands been scouted? Do we have the final count of Houses that have fallen?â
How different life is now to what it was a year ago.
Aemondâs betrothal to Lady Fell had been a political arrangement, a bargaining tool utilised by his grandsire to secure loyalty to Aegonâs claim to the throne in the Stormlands. A lady in waiting for Helaena, it had made perfect sense, she was already present within the Keep, so their courtship could be easily managed.
Despite the formality of it, Aemond had grown to love her, and in turn she loved him. She was patient where he was quick to anger, forgiving where he was vengeful, all of the things he knew he did not deserve and yet yearned for just the same.
He basked in the glow of her radiant smile, his heart softening when she did not recoil from his disfigurement. With every stolen kiss in darkened corridors, every eager touch that lingered in places that decency dictated be saved for their wedding night, the burden of the injustice that had been bestowed upon him felt lighter to bear. Despite the hardships that had befallen him, his affection for her came easily, there was nothing simpler in his world.
Then his father, King Viserys, had passed away, and life for Aemond grew infinitely more complicated.
There had always been the unspoken intention that his mother and grandfather planned to challenge his half sister Rhaenyraâs claim to the throne, however, even he was surprised by the swiftness with which they moved to coronate Aegon. Further still, there was the responsibility that fell to him as second son to help assure his brother kept the throne that his family had made bold moves to secure.
Many of the lords that had sworn fealty to Rhaenyra as heir to the Iron Throne had long since passed, and she would surely be sending reminders to their heirs of the vows sworn more than a decade ago. It was up to Aemond to ensure that better offers were made in Aegonâs name.
With Daeron in Oldtown, Aemond was tasked with earning the fealty of The Stormlands. Despite his own impending marriage to Lady Fell, without the support of House Baratheon they would stand little chance of gaining any further support from that part of Westeros. In order to do this, he was to fly to Stormâs End to offer a marriage proposal between his younger brother and one of Lord Baratheonâs daughters.
He had been given a warm reception upon his arrival, and Lord Borros had readily accepted his offer. Aemond has chosen carefully for Daeron, desiring for him to have a match that would make him as happy as he was with Lady Fell. He had selected the youngest of the Four Storms, Floris. Closest in age to his sibling, and the most comely of her sisters, she had seemed the best suited. Aemond had felt satisfied that he could return to Kingâs Landing proud of what he had accomplished for his family.
What he hadnât anticipated was the arrival of his nephew, Lucerys Velaryon.
When he saw the dark haired boy enter the hall, he had felt a phantom slash across the left side of his face, a malevolent rage simmered beneath the surface of his skin, barely concealed by the sinister smirk that tugged upwards at the corners of his mouth.
With every word that Lucerys uttered, Aemondâs mood grew darker. Was it not enough that his half sisterâs bastard had taken his eye? Now he meant to take his brotherâs birthright too.
As he had chased down Lucerys and Arrax on the back of Vhagar, he had only intended to scare him. If his nephew felt only a fraction of the fear that he had endured as a boy, as he had laid bleeding and maimed upon the dusty ground of Driftmark, then he would consider it a triumph, a reminder that there was a debt to be paid.
His heart had lurched when the jaws of his dragon had snapped around the body of the one they had been pursuing, sending both rider and mount toppling into the sea below. He had killed him. Yet the tears he wept as he made the sombre return home to Kingâs Landing were not for the death of Lucerys, they were for the consequences that his family would face as a result. The debt owed to Aemond had been paid in blood, and it would cost his family everything.
He had immediately sought out Lady Fellâs chambers upon his return to the Red Keep. The rain had dripped off of his riding leathers and onto the flagstone floor in cold rivulets as he had hovered in her doorway, eye wide and imploring.
She had rushed to him, grasping his forearms and pulling him inside. Her touch had immediately grounded him, calmed the pounding in his chest. It would all be alright in the end, how could it not be with her at his side?
âYou will catch a fever like this,â she said with a soft laugh,âcould you really not wait to get changed to see me?â
He raised a hand to stroke through her soft hair, loose and brushed through, ready for sleep. It was only as he did this that he realised he was trembling, and not from the cold.
âAemond?â She asked, her brow furrowing with concern. âWhat is it?â
It would be fine. He could tell her this. She loved him. She would understand.
âI killed him,â he told her in a hushed tone, his eye reluctantly meeting hers.
Her lips had parted in shock, before she exhaled shakily. âKilled who?â
âLucerys,â he told her, âI did not mean to, I only meant to frighten him, but I lost control, and now he is dead.â
He had expected her to embrace him, to tell him Lucerys had gotten what he deserved, that she would stand by him.
Instead, she had pulled away, and at the loss of her touch Aemond had felt as though he was in freefall. The warmth that usually filled her gaze when she looked upon him was filled with an emotion that he had never seen her direct at him before: fear.
His stomach had twisted into knots and his throat had grown dry as heâd taken a step towards her, hoping to bridge the gap between them, and instead she had furthered it by taking one backwards.
âKinslayer,â she had whispered shakily. âLeave my chambers at once or I shall scream.â
He had turned and walked away without another word, a gaping void opening within his chest at the realisation that her love for him had died alongside Lucerys.
His world had seemed as though it was coming to an end when Lady Fell departed Kingâs Landing to return to Felwood. She was taking his heart with him, and he grieved the loss of her, alongside the knowledge that he had jeopardised his familyâs prospects for an alliance with the Houses of the Stormlands.
Consumed by grief, her absence was never felt more than in the moments when his nephew, Jaehaerys, was murdered and Aegon was grievously injured in battle. He no longer had her to turn to for comfort, and so his sorrow turned to rage, hot as dragonâs fire. If the only person he had ever truly loved saw him as someone to fear, then he would become just that. The loss of her would not be for nothing.
It was this thought that had clouded his thoughts as he had seized Harrenhal, and put every person residing within to the sword. Every person except one: Alys Rivers. She was a witch, and the visions she conjured within fire aided him in his efforts in battle, though his uncle continued to evade him.
He had grown to love Alys, not in the same way he loved Lady Fell, but he felt that Alys was the match that he deserved. Lady Fell possessed a kind heart, a purity that Aemond could never dream of aspiring to. There was a darkness within Alys that paralleled his own, and so when she invited him to her bed, he did not resist.
There was no hushed laughter, or gentle caresses, the pair of them tore at each other like wild beasts, both of them pouring their malice into the other. There was no warmth to be found in her gaze, only a sharpness that served to encourage his bloodlust and desire for vengeance.
She had told him that she was expecting his child, and his thoughts had drifted to what could have been with his betrothed; a soft, happy bundle of joy that would have been all of the best parts of its mother. He wondered what qualities the bastard he had fathered upon Alys would possess, perhaps they had created the second coming of Maegor Targaryen. It would be no less than what he deserved.
When the news had reached him of Rhaenyraâs capture of Kingâs Landing, he was briefly thankful that Lady Fell no longer resided there, though enraged that he was not able to fly back to the capital to defend his family. If he ended his occupation of Harrenhal, then it would provide his uncle with the opportunity to seize it back.
The fear in Lady Fellâs eyes flashed through his mind once more. Fear. If he could inspire that, do any damage possible to his half sisterâs plight, then he would. His losses would not be for nothing.
He was merciless as he mounted Vhagar and flew over the Riverlands, torching everything in his path. Every House that had sworn allegiance to Rhaenyra Targaryen would burn, for her capture of the capital would be meaningless with no supporters left to aid her.
It is in the wake of this that he stands, waiting to hear of the total losses of support to his half sister.
The maester clears his throat, unfurling a parchment upon the tabletop. âThe final raven has just arrived, your grace,â he tells Aemond. âHouse Darry, House Blackwood, House Fellââ
âHouse Fell?â He interrupts, his blood turning to ice in his veins. âImpossible, they are based in the Northern Stormlands.â
âYes, your grace. However, there was a betrothal between the youngest daughter of House Fell and the youngest son of House Blackwood. Lord Fell and his family had been guests of Raventree Hall.â
Bile rises in his throat. He had killed her. The only good thing he had ever had in the world had died at his hands. She had been right to be afraid of him, and yet it had not helped to save her. He does not want to live a life where her goodness has been snuffed out. For every atrocity he has committed in the name of his familyâs honour, he has known that the gentleness of her soul is a beacon of hope that there is goodness in humanity. Now there is nothing. He is trapped in a prison of his own making.
It has to end.
With the aid of Alys, he tracks Daemon to South of the Trident, West of the Kingsroad in the Southern Riverlands. His uncle is eagerly awaiting him.
As he kisses Alys, his usual ferocity is absent. His lips are soft and tender against hers, filled with unspoken devotion, the goodbye kiss he never got to give to his intended.
He knows this is a battle he will not return from as he chains himself into Vhagarâs saddle. The cage he is trapped in has only one means of escape.
Daemon is a savage opponent, and Aemond fights as though he has nothing to lose. What else could possibly be taken from him, when he has already deprived himself of it? As his uncle leaps from the back of Caraxes towards him, he does not resist, even as the blade of Dark Sister plunges brutally into the socket of his seeing eye.
His final thought as his body tumbles down towards the icy waters of the Godâs Eye is that finally he is free, and if he could not reciprocate his true loveâs purity in life then perhaps the Seven will see fit to grant him the opportunity to do so in death.
When grief is allowed to mutate into rage, it will become a personâs ruin, and none more so than that of Aemond Targaryen.

Family Sleepover
Pairing: Choso Kamo x Reader
Prompt: A relaxing friday night for Choso and Y/n takes a turn when Choso's little brother, Yuji, has a nightmare leading to a family sleepover.
Word Count: 5.8k
Warning: modern Choso and reader, non sorcerer world setting, mentions of drinking and smoking, otherwise mainly fluff!
Notes: love love love choso, he doesn't get enough attention in writes so hopefully i'll have more choso x reader to come! <3 (gif credit to @fushiguro)
Rainfall smacked against the shingles on the roof while the weather outside only grew worse. A majority of souls dreaded nights filled with storming rain, although Y/n never truly understood why. Not only did the âdisgustingâ weather provide her the perfect excuse to remain indoors, the cracks of lighting and the booming of thunder set a cozy mood as the rain poured down from the skies outside. The light from the flashing television brightened the darkened room to a glowing haze. Choso had his arm thrown over his girlfriendâs body and his back pressed up against the black headboard as Y/n curled herself into his side, her hands resting neatly on his chest.Â
It was a typical Friday night for the couple after an exhausting week for the both of them. Choso had put in three grueling nights of overtime while Y/n had run herself thin juggling her final semester of college writing three separate ten page essays and studying for finals between her part time job.Â
Instead of going out until the early hours of the morning bar hopping and clubbing like most couples their age, the two preferred the more intimate occasions of peaceful bliss wrapped in each otherâs hold. Besides, babysitters werenât cheap and between keeping up with rent, having enough food on the table, gas to get to work, bills and buying new clothes for a never ending growing boy, there wasnât a surplus of funds left over to pay some high schooler to watch little Yuji every weekend night.Â
Yuji was the youngest of Chosoâs brothers, his only surviving family member in fact. Shortly after his eighteenth birthday his entire family perished in an electrical fire that tore through his childhood home. The cause was natural yet their deaths hardly felt so. His mother had passed away in the hospital a day after the fire, while his little brother was the only member she could manage to stumble out of the home with. Yuji was a few months old at the time, and if he hadnât still been sleeping in the bassinet next to their parentâs bed, Choso was sure he wouldâve perished as well. He had received a call only hours after the fire was put out, being miles away at university, he rushed to his hometown immediately to discover the life changing news.Â
That tragic event was four years ago and ever since, Choso has been raising his youngest brother alone- well, they were alone, until through friends, Choso was introduced to Y/n. The couple met at nineteen and had been going strong since, much to his surprise. Choso struggled in the dating field prior to being a near âsingle dadâ, and now that he had his kid brother to look after, he naturally assumed heâd never find a partner.
However Y/n proved herself different from any woman heâd ever met, and Yuji adored her. From the child's second birthday on, Y/n had been an essential part of their lives and she had no intentions of leaving, which she once again proved by blowing Chosoâs mind and signing on to lease a small three bedroom home alongside him and Yuji. Three years later now and the couple were raising Yuji like a stable, healthy family, and Choso couldnât be more grateful to have her in both of their lives.Â
Typical wasnât an adjective that fit like a puzzle in their dictionary but they still tried to act like a normal 23 year old couple, hence the half full wine glasses sat on either side of the bed and the tightly packed pre roll waiting patiently on Chosoâs side. Sure, they had a crazy five year old to look after, but that doesnât mean they werenât allowed to indulge in a bit of fun themselves, right?
A mutual favorite horror film of the couples was playing in the background. Y/n laid peaceful alongside Choso and the two cuddled on one another underneath the heavy stack of blankets. H/c hair tickled his skin as Choso situated his chin on the crown of her skull. Screams streamed from the television as a helpless victim took their chance at running through the winding forest trying to escape the crazed killer. Y/nâs body jerked as the girl managed to trip over a perfectly placed tree root and went stumbling down a large, leaf filled hill. The actress cried in fright as the killer stood at the top of the embankment, staring down at her disheveled state. Choso stole a peep down at his girlfriend, a rare smile coating his lips as he noticed her fully clinging to his naked chest. Once the girl was murdered and the screen cut to a new scene, her body visibly relaxed as her hold loosened.Â
Choso smirked at the action, his lips finding their way to the top of her head, placing a small kiss as his arms pulled her closer. He could feel her hands absentmindedly tracing patterns against his chest while her eyes were glued to the horror movie on the television. Every once in a while her frame would flinch against his as a new victim was slain and killed, making him laugh to himself at her jumpy nature. Not everyone found horror movies ârelaxingâ, so to say, but for the couple, it was their idea of an unwinding night.Â
Y/n shakily picked the wine glass up from the nightstand and took a reasonable gulp on the red liquid, then placed the cup back on the coaster. Her eyes casually shifted to her boyfriend, a mischievous smile playing on her pink lips as she motioned towards the joint resting on his side. Choso understood her thinking, not needing the use of words, and he chuckled. The mood felt all too perfect and the claming drag of a blunt was the bow to tie their night together in a beautifully wrapped present. However, as the saying goes, if something seems too good to be true, chances are it isnât true.Â
Right as Choso went to reach for the bud sitting beside him, a loud, echoing shriek broke through the once mellow air causing both adults to spring in terror. Y/n gasped, sitting up immediately as she looked up to Choso who was already throwing the comforter off and his legs off the side of the bed to stand.Â
âShitâŠâ He cursed. Another scream hit the air as Choso grabbed the nearest shirt he could find and threw it on. Watching as he hurriedly redressed, Y/n extended her hand to flick the bedside lamp on, a worried hint to her tired gaze.Â
âIs that Yuuji?â Concern laced her words as Y/n watched her boyfriend throw a random shirt over his head. He nodded towards her, confirming her worry.Â
âMmh, one second, babe. Iâll be right back.â Choso shared a quick kiss with his girl before sliding out the bedroom door. Stepping into the hall he quietly flipped on the ceiling light and walked the few steps to his brotherâs room. Yujiâs door was decorated in various drawings, stickers, and paintings the young boy had made, making it hard to miss. The door was closed shut, but that didnât stop the sound of muffled sobs and shaky breathing from breaking through. Twisting the golden knob, Choso slowly creaked the door open as he peeked his head around the wooden frame.
From his spot in the doorway Choso could see a small lump under the covers that was shaking like a leaf in a storm, much like the raging thunderstorm occurring outside the home. Entering the room, he quietly made his way into the bedroom and sat his body on the edge of the bed, careful as to not startle his younger brother. Choso reached his hand out to rub along what appeared to be the childâs back as he whispered,Â
âHey, little man. Everything alright?â
The heavy blanket was ripped from the boyâs body at the sound of his saviorâs voice as Yuji flung himself to his big brotherâs arms, grasping at his shirt while his teary eyes leaked against the cotton.Â
âChoso!â He cried out. An iron grip clutched at his skin, tiny hands searching for stability in his hold.
âIâm here, donât worry. Whyâre you crying?â Choso hugged his body close to his chest, his large hand running up and down Yujiâs back in an attempt to comfort him. The small boy buried his head in his shoulder as the broken sobs continued.Â
âI-I had a-a bad dream a-and the thunder w-was so loud my⊠my whole room was shaking and⊠and I saw a monster was outside my window with big claws and sharp teeth- he was going to eat me!â Yuji shouted in fear. His voice trembled as he struggled to get his words free from his dry throat.
The image of a terrifying beast perched up on the branch staring at him through his window replayed on a loop in Yujiâs head, his brain creating a scarier image each time he recalled the monster. Tiny fists bundled the shirt between his fingers as Yuji clung to his older brother. Glancing down, Choso leaned back a pull so the boy was forced to look into his dark violet eyes. Despite his usual solemn look, Chosoâs features were warmer- more comforting than Yuji had witnessed on the regular. A serious gaze crossed his stare as his thumb wiped a bundle of tears running down the childâs cheeks.Â
âWell you know that would never happen. Do you remember what I told you about monsters?â He questioned. Yuji rubbed at his eyes, his head shaking ânoâ in response. Swiping his thumb across the underside of his leaking eyes, Choso wiped his rampant tears away.
âTheyâre not real. Theyâre just in our heads, right?â His finger tapped against his small forehead. âEven if monsters were real, your big brother would never let it eat you, I can promise that.â
Yuji peered up at his brother, his curious wide eyes on full display, as if his big brother had all the answers to life. If Choso told him the grass was blue and the sky was green, heâd believe him. To Yuji, his brother could do no wrong. A twinkle met his large brown eyes as his head tilted to the side,
âYouâd beat him up?â He asked hopefully. A crack of a grin broke across his face as Choso nodded in agreement.Â
âMmh.â Choso ruffled the pink of his hair, giving him a reassuring smile. Yuji cuddled himself against his chest once more, previous shaky breaths finally evening out to small hiccups. The redness to his plump cheeks were starting to fade leaving tiny blotches of hysteria in its wake. Those tears that seemed never ending like a rushing waterfall growing into quiet sniffles.Â
A steady silence filled the room until Yuji pulled his head away from Chosoâs now damp shirt. With nervous eyes he hesitantly looked down to his fidgeting hands. Rubbing his palm against his heated skin, Choso wordlessly urged his kid brother to speak up, knowing there was clearly something swimming around his mind. Reaching out for the plush brown bear, Yuji held it to his chest as he inhaled steadily.Â
âCan⊠can I sleep in your bed, please big brother?â The flush of innocence to his tone was a gentle reminder to Choso that although his little brother was rather brave for his age, he was still only five years old and sometimes, extra reassurance was required.Â
âSure, kiddo.â
Yuji leapt towards Choso, his small arms encircling his brotherâs neck as he let out a cheer of delight. Smiling to himself, Choso plucked the blue star blanket he knew the child struggled to sleep without and stood from the bed. Yujiâs head laid against his shoulder as the pair started walking towards the master bedroom. Choso flicked the hallway light off and turned the handle to his room, stepping into the darkness with his brother in his hold.Â
The small lamp on her bedside was still lit as the two brothers entered the room, the sudden presence capturing Y/nâs attention. Choso didnât fail to notice the smile that graced her beautiful features as she caught sight of the pink haired boy in his grasp, and the way her arms opened up on instinct. A gasp of excitement broke from Yujiâs chest as he met the eyes of his second favorite person in the world.Â
âY/n!â Yuji shouted. Shaking from Chosoâs arms, he scrambled against the fluffy duvet as he crawled to Y/n. A large grin illuminated on his face as he fell into her welcoming embrace. âBig brother is letting me sleep in his bed- do you think we can snuggle?â
His strawberry scented hair tickled against her chin as Yuji buried himself further in her chest, cheeks still slightly damp from his crying from before now pressed to her skin. Y/n drew her nails up and down his spine, scratching his back as one comforting their young would do, then kissed the side of his head.Â
âOf course, baby.âÂ
Choso reached out for Yuji from behind and lifted him, allowing Y/n room to pull the blanket down so he could sneak in beside her. Once Yuji was under the covers he yanked the dark material up and settled in below his chin, his arms falling above the blanket then effortlessly positioned himself on his side so his little body was nearly attached to Y/nâs. Yuji innocently cradled his face into the warmth of her chest. Y/n giggled at his forwardness and wrapped her hold around him, pulling Yuji closer and kissing his ruby cheek, to which the boy snuggled in closer.Â
Choso couldnât resist the chuckle that broke from his chest making the tattoo line across the bridge of his nose scrunch in amusement as he watched how easy his brother made himself at home in the bedroom he shared with his girlfriend. Yuji pranced in the room and fixed himself up in Chosoâs bed next to his girlfriend like he owned the place- like he was the one paying rent. Tugging his shirt off, Choso threw the cotton to the side as he slipped into his side of the bed and shot Y/n an apologetic look.Â
âIâm sorry, angel. Yuuji had a nightmare then was certain he saw a monster outside his window so heâs pretty shaken up.âÂ
âItâs okay, you donât have to apologize for taking care of him, Cho. Thereâs plenty of room for all three of us up here.â
Chosoâs eyes drifted to his nightstand, purple orbs landing on the sealed up backwoods as he mentally cursed himself, thank god Yuji hadnât noticed it or Y/n was sure to chew his ass out. Looks like theyâd have to save their smoke session for another night. Sliding open the bedside drawer, Choso swept the pre roll into the cupboard and shut it, tossing the blue lighter in alongside. The wine swayed in the glass from the movement, and he pushed it back a few inches so it was completely out of Yujiâs reach.Â
Turning his attention back to the two Choso nudged his finger against the chubby texture of his little brotherâs cheek.Â
âBut youâre coming in here to sleep, okay Yuuji? Itâs bedtime, not playtime.â Yuji obediently bobbed his head in agreement, a twinkle of mischievousness sparking in his eyes. Choso knew that gleam all too well. Overall his kid brother was a relatively good listener, but there was always some catch, and when it came to bedtime, Yujiâs catch was his ability to ask a million and one questions before actually falling asleep. Y/n bit the inside of her cheek to keep from letting a laugh escape. Yuji was too sweet. Tapping his finger at Y/nâs arm, the small boy gestured towards the tv.Â
âCan I watch a little of your movie to go to sleep?â His question was suppressed by his face being shoved into Y/nâs neck, but the words were clear enough. Y/n glanced at her boyfriend, an uncertain raise to her brows. Before he could decline his brotherâs request, she shook her head softly.Â
âWell⊠itâs sort of scary⊠maybe we should put something different on until youâre asleep.â
Instead of changing the channel, Choso opted for turning the volume down. It was a film heâd seen a thousand times over and he knew there wouldnât be another scary scene for a good fifteen minutes, which opened the perfect window of sleep for Yuji. Unlike Choso who required a minimum of thirty minutes until sleep could greet him, Yuji could fall asleep at the drop of a pin, and based on the droopiness to his eyes, sleep didnât seem too far off for him.Â
âHow âbout you try closing your eyes for sleep and we can have a fun movie day tomorrow, alright? Y/n and I are gonna go to bed soon, too.â Choso promised. The young boy tilted his head up towards his big brother, almost searching his features for any sign of lies, but Choso only stared back. Once he was sure his brother was telling the truth, Yuji nodded and forced himself to close his large eyes.Â
Both adults watched the movie without a word, cautious to give Yuji a fair chance to fall asleep. Images passed on the screen of a seemingly happy family as they began moving into their new home. The children ran around outside the home, giggling and shouting with glee as the parents carried loads of boxes into the home. The scene hadnât struck either Choso nor Y/n as one of importance as they both knew the ill awaited fate to meet the family, but through half lidded eyes, Yujiâs interest was quipped. The quietness lasted for no longer than a minute when Yuji moved his head, pink hair brushing against Y/nâs chin, and knocked at his brotherâs shoulder.Â
âBig brotherâŠâ
âHm?â Choso replied. Yujiâs fixation was back on the television screen as he pointed his finger to the image.Â
âAre you and Y/n gonna have babies?â
Both heads immediately snapped to the young boy, a gasp of shock sounding from Y/n at the sudden inquiry as her eyebrows shot up towards the sky. If someone was to take a picture of her face, she was sure sheâd look like sheâd witnessed a ghost. Chosoâs mouth hung astoundment, the innocently worded question clearly hitting him like a smack across the face.Â
âWhat?âÂ
Y/n quietly stared at her boyfriend for help, unsure what to say in response. Yuji on the other hand sat unwavered as he wiggled against her, trying his best to find the most comfortable position. Choso lifted the comforter of the blanket so Yuji had more access to cover his small body, then provided a brief shrug. Giving his girlfriend a look of uncertainty, Choso sighed at the oddly deep question.Â
âNot for a while, little man. Weâve already got you to take care of so I think weâll wait a bit.â Choso spoke softly.
âOh⊠okay.â Disappointment flooded his tone. Seeing his face drop in such a sad manner made Choso feel a bit bad for letting him down. Of course the couple planned on having children, it was a topic theyâd discussed more times than they could count, but it wasnât necessarily a priority at the moment for either of them. Choso wanted Yuji in school, and Y/n to have her dream wedding to him before either of them seriously took action to have children of their own. In the meantime, they certainly enjoyed practicing the baby making process- but Yuji didnât need to know about all that.Â
Yet it seemed Yujiâs curiosity was not quite settled as he once again tapped Choso on the shoulder,
âBig brother?â
âYeah?â He tiredly mumbled out. Y/n laughed at the exasperation in Chosoâs voice. It was no secret, Yuji had hit that age where his questions and curiosity had no end. Every meal was filled with a game of 21 questions asking what was in the food, how was it made, where did the ingredients come from, why does it call for carrots and not chocolate, and so on. His mind had no limits, and most of the time, Choso was grateful for that, except for now when Yuji was meant to be asleep, not firing inquiries left and right. Stealing a glance to Y/n over his shoulder, Yuji turned back to his big brother, a shade of scarlet painting his skin.Â
âCan I marry Y/n when Iâm a big kid like you?â Large brown eyes bore up at Choso as Yuji hugged his teddy closer, a faint blush flushing his cheeks. Choso was aware of his little brotherâs crush on his girlfriend, and honestly, he couldnât blame the kid. Y/n was attentive, caring, selfless, kind hearted, and not to mention gorgeous, so he could see plain as day why Yuji had a crush on his girlfriend. Still, the question knocked him back a step in surprise. Tonight's line of thoughts racing around the childâs mind seemed larger than normal.Â
âIâm sorry, little man but I was planning on marrying Y/n. I donât think itâd be very fair if you stole her from me, do you?â His brows pulled together into a thin line at his brotherâs new inquiry. First babies, now he wanted to marry Y/n? Choso was scared to hear what Yuji had up his sleeve to ask next. The childâs expression went glum once again, a heavy pout coating his pink lips.Â
âNo⊠I guess not⊠I just really like to snuggle with herâŠâ He admitted. His confession brought a cheesy grin to Y/nâs face. Yuji had always been adorable to her but now she found him even more of a sweetheart. Arms still wrapped around him, Y/n pulled Yuji in further to give him a hug, which he happily accepted.Â
âYou can always snuggle with me, bubs, but Iâll bet when youâre a big kid like your brother, youâre gonna meet a pretty girl youâd rather cuddle with instead.â Y/n laughed slightly as she glanced down at the young boy. She found it irresistibly adorable Yuji had developed a crush on her, but she also knew it was sure to fade as he grew, nonetheless, it was one of the cutest things to her. Kissing his temple, Y/n gave him one last squeeze then loosened her grip as a loud huff tumbled from Yujiâs parted lips.Â
âNot true! Youâre the prettiest girl ever! I donât want another girl- gross!â Yujiâs tongue fell from his mouth as he made an absurd gagging sound. In his mind, the idea of snuggling another girl was the most disgusting thing heâd ever heard- but snuggling his big brotherâs girlfriend? Now that was a totally different story. Choso sent a flick to the side of Yujiâs head, snickering to himself as the boy yelped and grasped for the point of impact.Â
âWeâll see if you change your mind, how âbout that?â Yuji shook his head âyesâ, agreeing to his brotherâs words. Y/n suppressed a giggle as she looked over to Choso, amused by his twinge of annoyance at what she found to be adorably harmless questions from Yuji.
While Choso quietly pondered over his brotherâs words, the small boy seemed to be warming up to the idea of bedtime. Yujiâs big eyes were casually drooping lower and lower with every blink he took.Â
âI think someone is sleepyâŠâ Y/nâs tone was teasing as she poked the chub of Yujiâs cheek. His usual hyperactive nature was calmed down to a simmer, and Y/n could feel him sinking into her hold. Not much longer and she was sure heâd be out like a light. As if reading her mind the young boy let out a loud yawn.
âIâm just gonna close my eyes for a little bit.â Yuji seemed to be making the promise more to himself than anyone else. Choso nodded, feigning belief, his brown strands threatened to slip from the rubber tie holding his hair in two loose spiky ponytails as he moved his head.Â
âOkay, kid. I believe you.â Choso smirked.
Twisting his body, Yuji pressed his back against Y/nâs chest. She wrapped her hold around his smaller frame, allowing his little arms to lay ontop of hers, then reached his other hand out to hold the edge of his brotherâs pillow. Choso could feel his tiny legs folded, Yujiâs knee pressing against his side. The kid was never one for a normal sleeping position, Choso thought to himself.Â
Nuzzling his head against the plush mattress, Yuji peaked his eyes open and gave his brother a soft smile. The hand clutching Y/nâs arm gave a squeeze as his sleepy voice mumbled,
âI love you, big brother⊠I love you, Y/nâŠâÂ
âI love you too, Yuji, sweet dreams.â Y/n leaned down to press a loving kiss to the boyâs forehead. Pulling away, she brought her hand up to stroke at his light pink strands. Choso smiled to himself at the sight, then reached his hand out to pinch at the excess of skin on his little brotherâs cheek.Â
âLove you, little man. Sleep tight.â
A stillness enveloped the room in a circle of quietness, the sound of Yujiâs faint breathing followed by light snores being the only steady sound. Choso waited a few minutes before reaching for the remote and turning the volume up slightly, their mutual resistance to having Yuji listening in now wiped clean. Although both had their outward attention focused on the movie playing, neither were mentally zeroed in on it. In fact, they were both thinking about the same thing, thinking about what Yuji had said; having kids, getting married, spending the rest of their lives together.Â
Of course this was a common thought that roamed around in Chosoâs head, he had just never realized he wasnât the only one who thought about it. Cracking a smirk, Choso settled his arm around the middle pillow supporting Yuji and placed his hold on Y/nâs shoulders. His fingers unintentionally tickled her skin and her body subconsciously melted into his touch. Letting out a chuckle, Choso turned his head in her direction,Â
âCanât believe my kid brother is trying to steal my girl from me.â Y/n laughed at his remark, amused by the idea of Yuji wanting to marry her when he grows up. It was a sweet gesture in her eyes and made her feel grateful that he held such a high opinion on her. Of course, it was his elder brother Y/n planned to wed, the thought meant the absolute world to her.Â
âI donât know, babe, give it a few years and he just might do it.â
Choso lolled his head to the side, a look of idiocy gracing his features as he rolled his eyes. Grabbing her free hand he brought her fingers up to his face and pressed his lips against her ring finger. Although the finger was bare of jewelry at the moment, Choso was determined to change that fact soon. Without Y/nâs knowledge Choso had been saving a portion of his work checks on the side, saving for a sparkling diamond ring to adorned her hand.
Knowing his girlfriend, Y/n would accept a bread bag tie or a ring pop even. Money wasnât something they were swimming in, and she loathed the rare occurrences Choso would splurge on her. However, Choso wanted her to have a diamond ring- no, he needed her to have one. After all she had helped him through, all the times she had been there for him and his brother, Choso wanted her to see how much he truly appreciated her, so no ordinary ring would do for him, it needed to be perfect. Laying her hand against his chest, Choso narrowed his gaze playfully.Â
âYouâre talking like I wonât have a ring on that pretty finger and you tied down to me by then.â Laughing at his statement Y/n simply shook her head at him.Â
âIâm already tied down to you, Choso. Youâre stuck with me forever.â Y/n teased, sticking her tongue out momentarily to tease him. She knew if he had asked her to marry him right then, sheâd say yes, zero hesitation in her answer. It was no secret that she planned on spending the rest of her life by his side.Â
âGood, âcause I wasn't planning on letting you go.â
Yuji stirred between them, faint groans of tiredness breaking from his lips as his body jerked in his sleep. Y/n retracted her hand from Chosoâs body and soothingly ran her fingers up and down the childâs back, silently lulling him back to his peaceful sleep. Yuji cuddled further into her hold, a sigh of contentment escaping his parted lips. Choso watched the two, his heart fluttering as Y/n effortlessly brought comfort to his brother without even a word.Â
Glancing up to her quiet boyfriend, Y/n sent him a sweet smile.
âAre you staying up for a while?â
âYeah, Iâm not too tired yet but I wonât be too late.â He nodded. It was no secret Choso had adopted a poor habit of staying awake until the sun rose, especially on the weekends. No matter how much effort Y/n devoted to breaking this habit, it lived on.
Propping herself on her elbow, and cautious for the child in between, Y/n reached across the space between the couple. Receiving the unspoken message loud and clear, Choso turned his face, allowing opportunity for their lips to touch as he kissed her sweetly. The exchange was short and loving, but Choso took every advantage of the moment as he relished in the feeling of his lover pressed against him. His lips greeted hers in a passionate embrace, despite their awkward positioning. A tiny hint of a smile cracked through her lips as Y/n pushed her lips against his, gentle yet determined to prove her love, which he effortlessly felt. Pulling apart, Y/n grinned up at him as she leaned back into her spot on the bed, snuggling up against her pillow. Blinking her e/c eyes up to him, a stroke of red flushed her s/c cheeks as she blushed. Y/n could spend the rest of her life kissing her lover and still would never grow old of the butterflies his lips released inside her soul.Â
âOkay,â She whispered. âTurn the tv off at a good time, you had a long day.â Chosoâs hand ran along the top of her head, petting at her hair with a gentle smile. His insides fuzzed at the sincerity to her words. The caring nature Y/n held always had him feeling so loved and looked out for, it truly meant the world to him.Â
âThanks, pretty girl. Youâre always taking care of me⊠well, us.â He gazed down at his sleeping brother. Y/n leaned further into his loving strokes as she reached her arm gently across Yujiâs body to lay still against Chosoâs chest. The action was simple, but the effectiveness was strong. A chorus of chills danced down his spine at her touch to his bare skin. There was no element of sexualizing to her touch, no hidden agenda, no further want but a safe place to rest.
âYou say that as if two donât take care of me as well. We all need each other.â Y/n argued. A comfortable silence greeted the pair as Choso basked in the comfort of her hand against his skin. The movie on the TV played on deaf ears while Y/nâs eyes slowly grew heavy in weight.
Reaching around his shoulder Choso grabbed the wine glass from the night stand, bringing the glass to his lips he sipped the red liquid, feeling his body relax at the taste. Red wine had always been a favorite of his, a taste Y/n had developed a liking to after multiple tries of her lover convincing her it was the superior choice. Many things had changed in her life after Choso and Yuji, such as red wine over white, nights in over nights out, and sharing the bed over sleeping alone.Â
Choso set the glass down, opening his mouth to make a remark about how the chilled beverage was now warm and apologize once again for the bump in their night, when he was suddenly taken aback by the look on his lover's face- the love pouring from just one look.Â
âAbout tonight-â A quick roll of the eyes and a motion of the hand caused Chosoâs words to fall flat against his tongue.Â
âDonât. I wouldnât choose anything over this.â Y/n smiled.
Careful for the boy laid between them, both leaned across the mattress, unable to resist the need to feel her once more, allowing their lips to meet in the middle. Chosoâs hand curled around the side of her face, his thumb caressing the skin as his lips devoted all the passion and love his heart could express. His soft kiss brought a sense of home to Y/n, her hold clasping on the back of his neck, not allowing a chance to break. She swore she could feel her heart physically warming as his lips moved against hers, savoring every moment of his love. Every kiss they shared held a piece of their love, yet this one was received stronger.Â
Pulling away, Y/n leaned her forehead against his, quickly pressing a final âgoodnightâ kiss to the corner of his lips, causing a smile to rise. Even in the poorly lit room Y/n could see the red rush of blood to his cheeks. Leaning back she cozied herself underneath the heap of blankets, allowing Yuji to cling to her once more in his asleep state. Resting fully against her pillow, Y/n looked up to Choso one last time before allowing her heavy eyes to finally shut for the night.Â
âI love you.â
âI love you too, angel.â Choso whispered through the still air.Â
It didnât take long for her even breathing to be heard and he was certain she had fallen asleep alongside his brother. Silently slipping out his phone from his side Choso snapped a series of photos of the two snuggled against one another, a grin adorning his lips as he did so. Yeah, he thought, Iâm putting a ring on that finger real soon.

one thing I haven't touched upon yet is how well the showrunners handled the time jump between Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory and more specifically - how well they handled maturing the campers.
At least to me the transition is nearly smoothless. Like, a couple of years have passed for those kids and those included years when people tend to change a lot - from children they grow into young adults. And the show did a fantastic job of shaping their adult forms in terms of personality. Because all of them have the core traits that we associated them with in Camp Cretaceous but at the same time they are more mature and carry their experiences on their back - both the experiences that we know of and those that could potentially fill up the time jump space if you know what I mean.
I look at Kenji for example and I still see remains of the boy that he was - a little bit arrogant (it still shows! he is very proud just of different things!), someone who doesn't shy away from an argument; but at the same time I see a man who has spent hours teaching kids and adults how to rock-climb - he can be patient too; I see someone who had to re-evaluate a lot in his life, and I can see that it wasn't easy, that it took a toll on him.
Or for example Sammy! Someone who loves her friends and family dearly still, a girl who was willing to fight for those she loved. But at the same time I see a young woman who knows that sometimes a compromise is the best option (like that situation with her neighbor). I see someone who still learns when her love and affection need to take a backseat for others to develop. I see someone who knows that sometimes being apart, even if it hurts, may be a good thing. I see someone forgiving but persistent.
Ben too... A boy who went through severe trauma that made his personality do flip and then, once time passed, he started rebuilding what was left of his old core. Anxious he is, a little boy still, but also a fighter - because he had to be one. At the same time, I see a young man who is a little torn on where he stands, who still figures out the details of his personality but who also knows his strengths and capabilities. In the end, he is energy-unbound, and he is eager to learn about the world in so many ways.
Darius, a boy who lost so much, and a young man who lost just as much. Life hasn't been easy on him. In jwcc grief encouraged him to attend camp, fulfill his father's dream. In jwct that aspect of his personality develops even more - now grief spins him into action, he doesn't wait for things to happen, he acts. He can work with others but he can also rely on himself, he grew up; he knows that he can handle himself, he still learns that he can reach out and ask for help, but he's getting there. He really is.
Not to mention Yas who has always been a creative person. Yes, it may be surprising that I mention that first but look at her now - inventing stuff, conducting projects? Remember her sketchbook in jwcc? Yeah, look where that creativity took her, look where her compassion took her - she helps people by helping herself. It was such a problem for her in jwcc (esp at the beginning) and look at her now - she's miles ahead of her old self.
Their personalities make so much sense because they are a clear continuation of their personalities in jwcc, and that's one of the reasons why jwct is so freaking good.

OF FLOWERS AND DEATH - aemond targaryen
Chapter 17: The Winds of War
âŸââșâ⧠dark elf!Aemond Targaryen x f!human!reader series. â§ââșâ⟠series masterlist. âŸââșâ⧠word count: 2.8k â§ââșâ⟠series warnings: 18+ depictions of violence/gore, eventual smut, warfare, sickness/disease, some moments of misogyny, and mentions of alcohol consumption. âŸââșâ⧠It is too easy for broken hearts to declare war.
Aemond had never felt more conflicted in his life.Â
There was scarce ever a time when there were multiple emotions that hit him at once. He was not used to feeling so much in such a short period, it had made him begin to act unlike himself. Though, that was not entirely a bad thing.
Only a few instances in the two millennia of his life had he ever felt so overwhelmed.
The first time was the death of his father. They were never close, but he could recall moments, during the brief periods of his fatherâs lucidity, when the two of them would sit silently together as they poured through history books. The old king's death did not come as a surprise, but it was crushing regardless.Â
The second time he had been overwhelmed was just shortly after his father's death. His mother quickly died. Elf marriages wound the bond between two souls so tightly that when one dies the other follows. He was more angry then. Aemond had been closer to her. The only bit he had of his fond childhood memories was connected to the scent of those azures that she loved so much.Â
There was not so much emotion when he beat Aegon in a duel and became king â that felt more natural to him.Â
The third time was when he lost his eye. The pain, wrath, betrayal, and heartbreak were too much for him. After it all, when his vision dimmed to one, it tore out the rest of his heart to kill Prince Lucerys for it. The deed had to be done, there was no other way, but Aemond still cursed himself until the ends of the earth for it. He had been like a brother, a chosen brother, but all failed.Â
The war had, like being crowned king, not overwhelmed him. At that point, his heart cared little.Â
The fourth and final time he experienced such a myriad of emotions at once was when he made the off-hand decision to welcome a human into his kingdom. A human who had so easily ripped down his very being to expose nothing but the scarred essence of his self. Aemond had resisted at first. It was true â he had cared little. Yet, that sentiment did not last long. It was like his brain punished him at every hour.Â
Everything was just her.Â
Her,
Her,
Her,Â
Was it his hubris that caused the gods to send such a siren? Or was it the cruelty he inflicted on the word? There could be no other explanation for her presence in his life. The gods sent her there to punish him. A thorn wedged in his side, but springed forth a rose that smelled as sweet as she treated the people around her.Â
That was what did it, what caused him to fall so effortlessly.
Her unflagging efforts to help.Â
Not for any selfish reason, nor any reward. The simple act of kindness gave her satisfaction. As if nothing else mattered in the world. She was determined and stubborn â a bit like himself. Though truly she felt like a foil, an opposite that brought out something better in Aemond.
He tried to reach inside himself and uncover what she had brought out of him, truly, but it was a struggle at first.Â
It had been so long since he had to treat someone that gently, it was foreign to him. All he had to do to relearn kindness was simply watch her. Watch as she tended to her patients so skilfully and passionately, watch as she bonded with Daeron over healing, watch as she spent time with Helaena and encouraged her passions, watch as she brought out a better side to Aegon; one a little more sober that before.Â
How could such a being simply be so good?
Humans had caused Aemond nothing but pain in his life. They took his eye, attempted to burn his lands down, and hurt his family beyond anything. Yet, this human â who had miraculously stumbled across his sister one day, hurt and in need â had been able to do what he never thought possible.Â
She had caused his heart to beat.Â
That was what it felt like. Each time he thought of her, frequently as of late, his heart would beat faster. It was like some kind of locator, the closer she was the faster those thumps came. It breathed new life into his body.Â
Aemond was not naive, at least, not anymore. He knew what this meant and why his body reacted the way it did. He loved her, simply and truly. Elves felt more intensely than humans, so it was easier for them to get so strung up in care. It was his kind's greatest strength and greatest downfall. Quick to love, quick to hate.Â
That was why it hurt so profoundly when she hurled such accusations at him; called him a liar and implied his good friend Cole had killed her father. It was harsher than any blow on the battlefield. He had welcomed her into his home, and let her have access to his library, all on the words of his sister and this was how she repaid him? He was angry but understood.Â
There had to have been a reason for her conclusion. She was not hysterical or had a penchant for making up lies. Something had come up or was discovered for her to act that way. She was still in mourning over Lyra so anything could have set her off.Â
Aemond had decided to leave so the both of them could cool off and get their thoughts in order. He would listen to her concerns and address them. However, when he went to her room to visit she was not there. That itself was not unusual, so it did not set off any unease in his mind. She was likely in the laboratory and working tirelessly in her pursuit of a cure. Her recent experiment with Daeron had been a damn close solution and Aemond felt nothing but pride swell in his chest when thinking back on it.
He approached the laboratory door but knew not to barge in. If she was focused, he could not bear to ruin that. He was already on thin ice with her trust. There was nothing in the realm that would make him break it further. He knocked on the engraved wood and waited.Â
There was no response.Â
Again, that was not unusual. However, when he knocked again with a little more force to make sure he was heard, Aemond was surprised by the slow creaking it made as it opened. The door was ajar, which was unusual. His fingers gripped the handle and he pushed it open. His gaze was lowered and noticed the strewn about papers at first. His brow furrowed as he scanned the area further untilâŠÂ
Gods noâŠÂ
Faster than Aemond knew he could move, he flung towards her body that lay bloody and limp on the stone floor. His heart sank with his body. He assessed her and quickly found an open wound on her side. Aemond had flung off his leather doublet and torn off a sizable chunk from his white shirt to try and cover the wound â as if it would make a difference. He was frantic, scrambling to staunch the wound as he kneeled.
Aemond lifted her limp body with his other arm having wrapped it around the back of her neck. Her head was limp and swivelled to the side, a sight that made him feel sick. His eye searched the room for any immediate threats but found none. He looked back down at her closed eyes. Aemond was too shaken to focus and see if she was breathing or if it had been a trick of the mind.Â
He muttered her name a few times like it was some sort of prayer; a plea to anything out there that could hear. Quickly, he released his hold on the wound and brushed her cheek, leaving a trail of blood. He went back to putting pressure on the wound, but truthfully it did not look good. Aemond was not shy of wounds. He had seen countless different ways the body could bleed out â this was one of them.Â
âBut I came to say sorryâŠâ Aemond whispered. Water gathered at the rim of his eyes. What surprised him the most was that he felt the same tingling sensation on the scarred lining of his other eye. He did not know it was possible, but here he was; nearly weeping over the body of a human.Â
Aemond noticed her arm was outstretched and went to move it closer to her body. Surprisingly, he saw something sticking out of her closed fists. He moved the arm that was holding her neck out from under after leaning her head on his thigh. Aemond opened her fist and took out the crumpled piece of parchment.Â
Mothers flower.Â
Lake water.Â
Every little thing.
The last one was underlined multiple times for emphasis. It was her writing, but he could not understand the reason for it. On the table, he saw a myriad of scattered ingredients and an overboiling cauldron. The smell emanating from it was burnt and he could tell she had been brewing something. He looked back down at the parchment and it all came to him.Â
His little rƫklon had done it.
She had found what very likely could be a cure, but something had taken her from him. He shouted for the guards or any possible person who could hear.
The feeling of hopelessness had morphed into rage. Someone had done this to her; someone who would surely pay the price.Â
Hurried footsteps sounded from the door Aemond had left open. In just a short moment, he watched Cole come in. His face morphed into shock at the sight. Aemond had never been more thankful that Cole had been in the area. He needed his friend.Â
The other door located on the opposite side of the room burst open. Daeron and Aegon had been in the sick hall but came immediately when they heard the noise. While Aegon had froze at the sight, Daeron sprung into action. He dashed to his brother and fell to his knees to assess the damage.Â
âWhat in the seven hells happened?â Daeron asked.
âI found her like this. Why aren't there any guards around?â Aemond directed his last question at Cole with a fire behind his voice.Â
âEarly morning is when the night shift switches, my king, there are little guards at this time,â Cole answered. Aemond shook his head before looking back at the woman in his arms. That was not a good enough answer.Â
âDaeron?â Aemond voiced. It was clear what he was asking. He needed to know if there was a chance to save her.Â
Daeron gave his brother a grim look, âI donât know.â Those words were like a dagger to Aemondâs heart. Aegon had gathered a bunch of supplies from around the room and dumped them by Daeron so he could start assessing the wound more.Â
âMy king,â Cole spoke out and Aemond turned to him, âI found these.â He had a scrap of fabric in one hand and a bloodied knife in the other. It was easy to see that the colours of the fabric were part of the emblem of the human kingdom.Â
âThey must have heard of our efforts to find a cure and snuck in to foil them. The council's suspicion of it being human-made could be correct. She happened to have the misfortune of being here.â Cole theorized. Both Daeron and Aemond were struck by it. Aegon, however, looked at Cole with underlying skepticism.Â
âConvenient that you found such an important piece of evidence that was not spotted by us when we came in,â Aegon spoke up while he took over the hold on her wound so Aemond could go see the items. Aegonâs words went unnoticed in Daeronâs attempt to focus on the problem in front of him.Â
âItâs laced with taint.â Aemond had taken the knife to inspect it and his voice sounded far away, as if caught in the trouble of wondering if what he said was true.Â
âThis is a direct attack on our kingdom, your grace. They have gone beyond a violation of the peace treaty.â Cole informed, âWe must respond.âÂ
Aemond did not acknowledge Coleâs words at first, instead choosing to speak to Daeron, âYou can heal her wound, right?âÂ
âI can try,â Daeron looked around the room for any kind of supplies that could help, âBut the taintâŠâ
âThen use the previous experiment to halt its spread,â Aemond argued. His anger increased as Daeron spoke. He felt that his brother was giving up on her, but that was not the truth. However, he was so overwhelmed he could not think clearly.Â
âThe last of the brew was used up on new patients. Even if I were to make more⊠it would take too long. Aemond, the wound is deep, the taint may have reached her heart already.â Daeronâs words were grim and he had been reluctant to voice them, as if speaking them would make it come true.Â
âYou will try regardless. Get every fucking healer to work on it.â Aemond commanded. He had never used his kingly voice with Daeron before. It was something Aemond did not wish to do, to command his family as such, but all of his care had gone with her.Â
âCole,â Aemond started, âSend for all of our legions to gather at the border. We ready for war. Send some to gather taint samples as well. They used it on her, so we shall use it on them.â Cole nodded at his king's words and made his way to leave the room.Â
As Cole reached the threshold, Aemond spoke again, âI want whoever did this brought directly to me.â Cole hesitated for a moment to really look at Aemond, but eventually nodded and left. With Cole gone, Aemond moved to his brother and presented the parchment that had been in her hand.Â
âShe was holding this. I assume it may be concerning a cure. Get some healers to work on it as well.â Aemond instructed. Daeron took the parchment and looked over it.Â
âI donât completely understand,â Daeron scrunched his brows at the vague messaging in her scrawl.Â
âElf azure and Lake Rosemagne water,â Aemond clarified. A light behind Daeronâs eyes sparked and it seemed as though he clued in to exactly what she had figured out.Â
Once seeing that she was in relatively good hands, Aemond made the prowl for the door to start the familiar habit of plotting war. When he reached the exit, he paused and turned around. His gaze hovered over her still body while his chest rose up and down almost erratically. Both of his brothers could see the emotion flicker over Aemondâs face. They understood her meaning to him and mourned what could have been.Â
Without any further words, Aemond stormed out of the room. Daeron got to work quickly and commanded Aegon to help him pick her up. Together, the two elves moved her body into the sick hall and to a private, curtained area. Daeron had yelled at some of the nearby healers, something which he had never done, and commanded them to start brewing both the slowing elixir and a few side brews of the newly modified recipe.
He hoped that the slowing elixir could be administered in time so if the modified version ended up not curing it, the very least would be that the taint would not further damage her body as it recovered from the stab wound.Â
However, Daeron would be lying to himself if he said there was a guarantee of healing the wound. It was so deep and human bodies were a lot weaker than elf ones. Aegon, on the other hand, was doing surprisingly well in hiding his fear. He shook just a little but followed his brother's directions to clean the wound.Â
Daeron leaned down to put his head against her chest. He was searching for a heartbeat, but could not find one. He then moved to hold her wrist. He waited a few moments. As if a miracle had happened, there was the faintest of thrumming. It came slow and was weak, but it was there nonetheless. Daeron let out a breath he had been holding and nodded to Aegon.Â
Aegon understood and tears welled in his eyes and he sighed with relief. Daeron then organized the supplies on a table beside him that was meant for stitching the wood. Despite his lengthy experience as a healer, he had never treated someone he was close with and had an incredible personal investment in their survival.Â
As he moved his shaking hands towards the wound, Aegonâs own hands covered them, âYouâve done this countless times, whatâs one more?âÂ
âI can do it.â Daeronâs words were more for his own sake than for Aegonâs; though both needed the reassurance.Â
Together, both the brothers provided comfort in their presence while they set about the task of saving a human from near death.
On the opposite side of the castle, the king prepared for war.
Chapter 18: Past, Present, and Future Preview
It was then that it struck you that where you were was a memory â not the present. You could not remember the present.Â

Youre extremely intelligent, patient yet fast and direct, dedicated and multifaceted it may have taken a lot to get to this point although
Im sensing a lot of emotional sensitivity yet you are perceived as stone when you feel like glass
"Petite, Cute, Princess, Marilyn monroe, Dainty" maybe youre described as such?
Strong sense of justice and very dependable, able to maintain balance
Maybe you feel lost inside? S*icidal ideation ? Or loneliness is a big factor

Eagle "see from a higher perspective"
Air Gaurdian "Shift your perception"
Lord "Take charge with authority"
High Priest "Intend ans Create"
There is a need for the sun and nature for playing a huge part in your healing, maybe its seasonal depression or simply anxiety or the "no inspiration for life" thats here
Bed rot could be a thing
There is a need to release old habits desires and ego
Confide in a masculine figure in your life or a masculine figure sees your distress (Gender doesn't matter its all energy)
Protection is needed and maybe a nice cleanse, maybe a cedar bath?
Again seasonal depression is coming up lol
You could be either a pieces or one of the Air signs
Take pride in your appearance, in the card she has long flowing black hair and stunning eyes!! Piercings too? Specifically a left nose piercing
Over thinking/pondering lol
Possible past friends or connections have ended badly?

Willie Jack from reservation dogs Vibes !!
---Channeled Songs---
LVL up - David strickland, Drezus, Aspects, prognosis

But problems are what you need to grow"
Runaway - Lil peep
"Everybody act like they care, Why the fuck do everybody act like they care"
When I'm Gone - Eminem
"Just know that I'm looking down on you smiling

So, baby, don't feel no pain
Just smile back"
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
PILE TWO
---Cards pulled---
The hermit/Knight of wands/8 of wands
---Clarification---
9 of cups/The Empress/Strength
Im getting like lost rebellion? And being unhealed and hurt inside from past trauma's specifically abandonment, neglect or betrayal from authority figures or those you had trusted
Feeling empty and misguided despite only trusting yourself, and no one seems to want to listen to your advice/experiences leading you to feel isolated and forgotten in a way?
Maybe you're a party animal, possible drinker and/or just popular/known in social settings
There is heavy overindulgence in emotionally fufilling things, specifically overspending and maybe other possible addictions (sleep, food, drugs etc)
Mother/Feminine figure is very important in your life
You look to them for approval of many things but they may have been not caring about your emotional needs or satisfaction rather they cared more about your hidden strengths and "beast inside" ?? Or even how "weak" they perceived you, they may have been disappointed at your strengths and abilities, n maybe they put you in some kind of martial arts or boxing despite your disinterest in it?
Quick to move on from situations!! Yet indecision and regret is coming through Strongly
Impatient with skills and talents that dont turm out they way you wanted so perfectionist type vibes
You are a clear communicator but tend to be rather impulsive with decisions or say one thing and do a completely different thing
Extreme harshness towards oneself and heavy judgement too :+(
Feeling exposed? Like all eyes are on you yet you dont want them
I feel a facade of confidence but there is true confidence coming through by the tiniest bit? yet it's heavily based on the feminine figures perspective in your life one with authority also your own perspective on yourself
Lots of self hatred and anger
Family oriented, getting protective yet detached energy tho
Cancer by my chemical romance came on so that song may be relevant?
---ORACLE/ADVICE---
Wise One "Grow within your current situation"
Mountains "Stand your ground"
Stargazer "Set your sights higher"
Direction guardian "Choose your path"
Owls maybe significant to you and other avians such as ravens
The wise one card depicts a woman with feathers in her gray hair, description of someone possibly?
Also a crescent moon is atop the owls head so maybe Athena or Greek mythology is important to you
I sense there was a lot of hardship in your life, ups and downs, peaks and valleys yet you choose to persevere and stay strong
I see you have may have been passed down a gift having to do with dreams, keep a journal and look into meanings of those dreams!! Also maybe astrology is something you love to look into or have an interest in ?
Although something is blocking this gift from its fullest potential i believe there is healing or a cycle to be closed off before youre allowed to fully tap into it !! It'll take time and work on your part
As of now you have many choices to make in many areas of life, youre heavily protected by your guides and loved ones, the direction guardian is depicted with a Seraphim as described by the hebrew prophet Ezekiel!!
Specifically in Ezekiel 28:11-19 is where the seraphim is described
You have choices, this card is to remind you that YOU have the power of your own path and direction
---Channeled Songs---
Cancer - MCR
"Baby I'm just soggy from the chemo
But counting down the days to go
It just ain't living
And I just hope you know
That if you say (if you say)
Good-bye today (good-bye today)
I'd ask you to be true (I'd ask you to be true)
'Cause the hardest part of this
Is leaving you"
No place to hide - Korn
"Some will look at the time I looked back into my life
You wanna touch me to see what's in my eyes
Why do you make me remember my hate, all this shame?
Don't you hate me? Sometimes"
I-E-A-I-A-I-O - SOAD
"Mine delusions acquainted,
Bubbles erotica,
Plutonium wedding rings,
Icicles stretching,
Bicycles, shoestrings,
One flag, flaggy but one,
Painting the paintings of the alive."
Although this seems like nonsense many fans believe its abbreviations or like code!! Soo...
M D E = Media and so on
The sentence comes together as:
"Media back-end power is bullshit, opposing force for the power of propaganda"
Stole this^^^ from genuis btw lmao
Theres the "lost rebel" part lol
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
PILE THREE
---Cards pulled---
2 of swords/The Chariot/10 of Wands
---Clarification---
Ace of Swords/Knave of Coins/6 of wands
I feel more a message for this pile? And i do apologize but it is quite shorter than the rest but I will try my best to deliver both tho
You seem to be a very balanced person with clear morals and judgement, you have an ability to see all shades of gray in a black and white world maybe you work in the justice system? Or are dealing with the justice system ?And this stresses you out greatly yet you maintain hope for all that you see and deal with even if you see repeating injustices to those around you
Maybe PTSD is a factor here too, overthinking your own trauma or others
Anyways despite your position here you choose this pile for a reason !! You offer people truth and often give closure to cycles that needed to end
With the 2 of coins tho i think there is some imbalance between what you can and cannot do ? If that makes sense, like you can heal others or give them justice but cannot do the same for yourself :+(
Anyways the message i sense from this pile is pretty straight forward, you are giving someone (or yourself!!) the chance or closure to heal once more and whatever you may be waiting for is coming in quite quick although I feel there may be someone who may come in to sabotage the whole thing so be careful about who you choose to reveal this information to
They may offer a trade of some sort?
A deal, hush money or simply intimidation
Up your protection and be aware of fake friends yet still remain hopeful about the outcome because i see it turning out in your favor
---ORACLE/ADVICE---
Snake "Shed old skin"
Protection Guardian "Drop your Shields"
Winter "Take care of your needs"
High Priestess "Harness mystic power"
Again straightforward, beware of fake Friends and deals with strings attached my advice here is to up your protection and stand your ground!!
Drop your gaurd with those who you KNOW you can trust, you may need ro let out some stresses and emotions? Because the card winter is all about needs and hibernation so sleep well, eat and take some time to relax !!
Also might be an indication that whatever this situation is it may have happened in the winter/colder months
While in this time of self care and healing strengthen your knowledge and strengths learn how to master them !!
Your dreams and own special psychic gifts are important and potent !! Use them for yourself at this moment in time use that healing energy for yourself
Have confidence in yourself and know and own your protection because again you are heavily protected at this time you will most likely know who to stay away from very soon
Follow you intuition and what it tells you !!
---Channeled Songs---
The bird and the worm - The Used
[Whispered Post-Chorus] "Don't tell on me, don't tell on me. No, don't you tell on me, please. It's okay, don't tell on me, please..."
I find it interesting that its not the actual audible lyrics but if you listen to the song this is what the whispers are saying so...take it as it resonates
Spiders - SOAD
"Approaching guiding light
Our shallow years in fright
Dreams are made, winding through my head"
Bad dreams might be significant to you? Please try to relax good things are coming !!
Mama - MCR
"You should have raised a baby girl
I should've been a better son
If you could coddle the infection
They can amputate at once
You should've been
I could have been a better son"
-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
Pile Four
---Cards pulled---
5 of cups/4 of wands/Knave of coins
---Clarification---
8 of wands/6 of cups/Knave of wands
I believe there currently is dissatisfaction with your love life or offers within love at this moment or even just impatiently waiting for your current partner/interest to "make a move"
There isnt a lot of hope or faith in the connection on your part but i do see this person is interested they just operate differently and have some concerns
Mostly having to do with being used for their material gain, name position and/or authority
They do see this connection quite successful but they hate being put on a pedestal, due to this they wont have the guts to come forward if they do!! It will most likely be impulsive or very confusing and indirect which might leave both of yous flustered mainly them
This might be over drinks because my face is warming up lol
They see you as the four of wands and 6 of cups what a wonderful pair of cards together!!
But they see your disappointment and or pulling away from their energy which is turning them off easily but they still have their eyes on you
They have no time to be a chaser or to be chased this person is quite serious in their relationships so dont play childish games, play stupid games and win stupid prizes right?
They have come to a decision on their own but its also up to them when this information is revealed to you directly
Also there seems to be a sort of distrust with relationships on either sides which needs to be addressed before hand
Communication maybe be an issue
---ORACLE/ADVICE---
Medicine Guardian "Be open to healing information"
Elder "Healing through lineage"
Peacekeeper "Harmonious resolution is possible"
Lady "enjoy growth a reap rewards"
I feel like time is needes to open up tp yourself and heal some issues on your side first, become the best possible version you can before you can move on with this
I see that this connection may heal cycles in your family and generational trauma possibly?
Its your job to keep cool despite the circumstances now and remember to mediate and that peace is always an option. Not every battle is worth fighting
However this goes you will be happy with what you see in the mirroe nonetheless!! Enjoy your hardwork and healed state
---Channeled Songs---
Fed Up - Ghostmane
"I'm fed up with the fame
I'm sick of reading my name in any other way than I intended
Fed up with all of these motherfuckers misunderstandin' me
I'm fed up with the ones that try to say you a fan of me
But then they turn their back and mothafuckers abandon me
You think I'm sitting high with everything, but now can't you see?
I'm livin' in reality, a struggle, not fantasy
I'm in a million-dollar couch, back then I was in a van"
No you girls - Franz Ferdinand
"Sometimes I say stupid things
But I think, well, I mean I
Sometimes I think the stupidest things
Because I never wonder
Oh, how the girl feels
Oh, how the girl feels"
Driven Under - Seether
"Must be something on your mind
Something lost for me to find
Do you know I'm faking?"
I feel this is more the distrust with their previous relationship possibly?
Also this lyric
"We have to succumb to the feelings we can never face
I need you, I breathe you
I can't go through this all again
We have to succumb to the feelings we can never face
I need you, I breathe you
I can't go through this"
Also pile 3 may have some messages?? I accidentally typed pile three for this one? :+//

NOTE: welcome! iâm still figuring out the ropes and ends of tumblr so iâm not the best at handling this website, please be patient or lend me a helping hand. with that, enjoy and leave some feedback!
MINHO STANDS in his uniform on the opposite side of the Garden Sanctuary, a level of strict authority still etched in the bends of his spine despite being far away from the court ball.
He observes you with such fine quality, each trace a long drag of a sharp knife against every curve of your skin. Usually, his training makes him skilled enough to go unnoticed, but it's as though the moon itself betrays him, hanging fatly in the sky, its reflection coming down and sitting on the rippling surface of the fountain's water, crystallising back in the royal guard's eyes.
Despite knowing the boy for so long, you occasionally forget that his constant watchful eye is simply part of his dutiesâa fact that remains unchanged.
Your face grows hot regardless.
"Many people seem to think me foolish for believing the world could change enough to grant me a choice in who I love," your voice is low, like it's far too ashamed to ask the question in his company. "Do you think of me in that light?"
The boy moves further inside, black boots pressing into the cherry blossom petals that continue to swirl down around him. "Perhaps," he finally speaks, his voice incredibly close now.
You sneer up at him in annoyance. He doesn't seem moved at all by the obvious tremble in your voice. "Then I'll hold you in the same way I think about everyone else: a dead, soulless, ugly being." Your words go against all sensible thinking. It's as if the torture that comes from his willingness to forget the history between you makes you lean into childish remarks.
Minho still peers over you with a tight pull to his back, never allowing one strand of his long hair to fall out of place. "And am I to believe those images you've conjured up of me are true, Princess?" There are pieces of a smug grin found in his eyes, a strange sense of pride that these emotions you harbour for him are strong enough that you've turned irritable. Albeit his stoic attitude, this is also him giving sound to his fiery jealousy after the sudden marriage proposal in the banquet hall.
"How dare you call me that!" you gasp, nails digging into your thigh. The year hasn't fully completed yet since Minho was appointed to your father's high council. Even after the weighted armour was added to his muscular body, and his presence at revels is no longer by your side drinking away the night, but to watch over your family, you still hold no doubt that he'll ever divert from the boy you love.
"Is that not what you are?" Oh, how wrong you were.
"Yes..." Your eyes gloss over with tears, but this time you mean for him to see all your suffering. "I am the kingdom's princess, but I only become one to you when you wish me away."
There's an almost fierce glimmer in your stare, a silent proclamation that you've tried and exhausted yourself from acting out this contrived narrative that was roped in your hands by the newly appointed royal guard in the first place. You're done keeping quiet for the sake of your family. You want some semi-balance of peace, not to hold all of the war that comes each time Minho stalls near the entrance of the palace to guide you into a carriage, his gloved hands holding onto yours.
The royal guard finally crouches down, kneeling on one leg, the sheathed sword by his belt jutting out behind him. "That's not far from the truth." Minho does not allow the domineering nature of his face to change despite being a mere inch away from you.
A couple of months ago, the lining of his eyes and lips would have struggled under the weight of your gaze and softened immediately at the sight of you beckoning him over.
You've become the jester to your own memories.
   "It is precisely why I am here, to offer my deepest apologies, Princess. I was so young," he says, voice quieter now, as if he's speaking more to himself than to you. "We were both so young, weren't we? Free in a way I never understood at the time. I let myself believe in things I had no right to, and I pulled you into those beliefs... I mislead you." There's something effortlessly elegant in the way you sit on the dirt ground, your gown spilled out around you in sparkling blankets of purple. Minho looks away, but he cannot, for the life of him, train that idea out of his head and thinks he'll forever live inside the torment of his own hypocrisy.
   "But we've grown, and that entails more responsibilitiesâduties that need to be fulfilled."
Minho looks down, undoing his crossed arms behind his back and exposing a pair of pointed shoes in his handsâyou hadn't even noticed he was carrying anything this whole time. Being swayed by raging emotions makes anyone irreversibly selfish and tardy, especially when sprinting away with a dress clutched to your chest. The boy gently pulls at your ankle, allowing the material to rub against your heel.
   "Your loyalty should not go to me. I am one man against a nation that needs you, my Princess." Your brows furrow at his response. At the name. Recognising that Minho is soothing the blow of the truth by doing something sweet.
In a silent outburst, you shake your legs in his hands, kicking the material off your feet again.
"Go! I want you gone. Now!" Against the serenity of the Garden Sanctuary, your yells are the driving knife to a portrait painting, the chirping sounds of roaming critters nowhere to be heard. Just the continuous echo of your words each time the royal guard tries to capture your springing ankles before they hit him in the face.
It lasts for a few minutes before he successfully takes you by surprise and locks them closer to his body, the position having you open and perfectly snug around him. With that, you learn just how in control Minho has always been. It makes you feel a little giddy having successfully coaxed it out of him.
You breathe heavily. "I order you." Instant dread coils in your stomach at the sudden use of authority.
Something lively swims in Minho's eyes. It rips into the clouded fragments that have settled there for some time, allowing a piece of him to peek through. You almost want to riot against anyone who claims the royal guard was ever ruthless and arrogant. Maybe he was.
"I take my orders from the King." His eyes slit back into their vacant stare.
After many months of feeling him watch youâin your place at your throne while he guards the door, when you slink back into your chambers and can't help but wince at the burning residue on your backsideâyou can no longer foretell his actions or what he's thinking.
His hand has perched further up your ankle, the expensive fabric of your gown bunching up, showcasing it rests warmly on your bare knee now. The placement doesn't seem to reach Minho, but it's contributed densely to why you can't keep a steady flow of air pushing past your lips. "And do I have the pleasure to blame my father for your little crusade to find me?"
"No, that one is my own hanging." His voice drags, each word affixed to a thought he won't fully admit. One image in particular clings to himâthe sight of you, tear-streaked and marked by the King's hand after disobeying himâowns him completely, every part of his being bound to the memory.
Quickly, he composes himself, slowly standing up, letting his hands grip the sheath of the sword, his knuckles splayed white from the sheer force of erasing the image out of his head.
"I might've become someone you deem dead and soulless, but I thought it was best to end the night with the dance you were promised. I'm a firm believer that you can still reclaim something lost. But again, it's your choice whether you want to accept it from this ugly man."
Softness rewrites the chided look on your face. Embarrassingly enough, it took no more than a minute before you agreed to it. It wasn't even a small nod. You followed him up like you were always linked to him, a shadow to a body. And perhaps that was the whole point of this strange bondâconstantly accepting offers that were already his.
Minho pulls you in closer by pressing his palm into your lower back, surprising you greatly when he bends slightly, wrapping his whole arm around your torso, fingers giving your heart the same suction a corset would, before gently lifting you off the rubbled floor, the end of your dress, crumpled and stained, swinging against your ankles.
You stare at him in wonder, the moonlight failing to pale his skin. "You know, I do have legs. Quite capable ones, at that." There's a hint of amusement in your words.
His eyes flutter over the expanse of your face, the dim lighting darkening his stare into perfect black pearls. "Yes, you're right. I was given a taste of that power when I tried giving back your shoes and nearly got kicked in the face for my sincerity." Minho leans in a fraction closer, his voice dropping lower. "Still, it's part of my duty to protect the royal family, and I extend that same oath to stubborn twigs or insects."
The royal guard leads you, swearing each pull around the garden was a secret dance that awoke ash-filled ancestors, all in tune with each other. It feels so ethereal and otherworldly, like a kaleidoscope of colourful ball gowns around the gushing fountain.
"And you? What would you do if I said you've become my greatest torture? How would you protect your princess then?"
Minho pauses, the statement crashing into him like a tidal wave. "Even in your torment... so long as you think about me, I've already done my part."
The confession catches you off guard, half-expecting the royal guard to respond curtly, the same way he dismisses you by naming you by your status. But his hunger for you was just as devouring, has always been secretly consuming. So, you allow it to swallow you wholeâin the same darkness that eats mostly at your heart.
"Princess?"
The sudden urgency of your name being called in the distance diminishes the magical glow, and the idea of being caught, arm interlocked with someone other than the awaiting King, makes the frantic glances over your shoulder near the tall arch opening turn jittery, fear running deep into the small passage of yourself that believedâbegrudginglyâin the role your father had carved for you.
"You need to hide," you whisper hurriedly, crawling out of his grasp. The royal guard remains in a trance, his two brown eyes drinking in every detail of your face, committing it to memory. He only snaps out of it at your frantic prodding and pushing. "Minho! Take cover behind that statue there."
After quietly ensuring that no part of him is visible to any witness, you reposition yourself, sitting on the cool stone of the fountain rather than draping yourself across the floor. All parts of your previous sadness feel inconsequential now that Minho has lowered his guard and danced with you. Now, you wait.
The arch has intricate carvings of flowersâhoneysuckles, red carnations, and white liliesâall woven within the stringy pieces of the vines. It doesn't look wild, as though it gradually grew and found its home around the arch. These flowers are carefully plucked and placed, constantly attended to, ensuring every beautiful piece of the garden is enhanced. When Prince Hyunjin waltzes through and hesitates by the open gateway, you swear his long red hair could set them ablaze, orange flames haloing above him.
Hyunjin is completely unaware of the full-bodied man hiding in plain sight.
"I found you." The boy wears a small smile, uncertainty weighing down each corner. Hyunjin expects you to yell. "I understand I'm not welcome, but I want toâI don't think what your father did was in good grace, and I beg for a chance to properly introduce myself. It could help ease the nerves and the surprise a bit."
"I know who you are; that should save us this conversation." There's no interest in your eyes. His words, no matter how gentle, could never penetrate your heart. They don't make you feel anything.
Hyunjin continues regardless, his hands ruffling the ends of his blouse that tie in lovely bows. "Then not an introduction, but a moment. Although this is a marriage of convenience, I'm not a selfish fool to deny you the chance for organic love, and I won't force your hand either."
You've heard stories about this prince. The most infamous one was when he disguised himself as a civil servant. It was said that he was hired as the village healer's apprentice after rumours spread about the boy's miraculous access to expensive medicine. After months of suspicion and a tragic arrest, it was revealed that he'd been stealing from the palace's cabinets and distributing the medicine for free. Hyunjin is undoubtedly the sweetest soul, so your hatred towards him only willed you to want to be alone so you could continue under false pretences.
There's a certain stillness. You're waiting in the breaks of silence, searching for any sign that Minho is still there, watching.
Hyunjin sits beside you on the stone, avoiding your gaze. "I'll make sure no one speaks against you for taking your time. With enough power, I can also silence your father." Hyunjin shows no distaste for his sensitivity, no trace of second-hand embarrassment crossing his features. He means every word he says.
"Would you like to see what I bought you?" At a simple nod, Hyunjin pulls out something blindingly gold in the midst of the dark night, a vibrant fire emblem in the middle of it. The conclusion that it was a hair accessory only came when the prince politely asked if he could do the honour of fixing it into your locks.
"What you're wearing is a sacred piece from my lineage," he speaks, breaths away from your face, the feeling of his hand heavy above the crown of your head. "It's traditional to wear it at important ceremonies to welcome harmony and good fortune. My parents were hoping to see it on me at my own coronation, but I think it's only fitting for you to wear it at our wedding." Hyunjin reclines back, watching you with keen eagerness, disregarding the idea that you only crossed paths through allyship and Kingdom honour. "Going into unfamiliar grounds could be easier if you had a constant token of hope."
Curious and flustered, you peer down into the still puddle of water inside the fountain. Your reflection greets you among the fallen petals immediately, hair pulled up halfway with pieces cascading down around a face so undoubtedly... royal.
The awaiting king deeply sighs. "You torment me with your beauty, Princess."
The sentiment around the hair accessory has turned you attentive to what you've constantly ignored.
Hyunjin notices the change. It felt like you were scrying the black pool, face entranced and eyes wet, looking for something he can't quite put his finger on. It was like your whole future was constellated, and you were desperately trying to read between the stars, hoping just maybe a meteor shower would smudge the already promised destiny.
You were a princess birthed with a written story, similar to how being birthed from a warrior father already gave Minho the necessity to grow into a warrior son. That he never needed to learn devotion, that it came to him instinctively, like a person finding a lone drum and knowing to slap it to make a roaring sound.
Minho was who he was. And yet, the royal guard entwines his fingers around the leather hilt of his sword behind the statue, his mind so far drawn with a splitting anger that cleaved and reconstructed his sworn oath to protect the kingdom that he was ready to use it against the awaiting king.
SILENT MURMURS are being passed around behind your bedroom door. It wasn't what originally brought you out of your sleep on this quiet night, the scheduled wedding tomorrow morning attributing greatly to that, but it was the one thing louder than your anxious breathing.
The guard assigned to your care, Kim Seungmin, seems to greet the incoming person with more authority, which could only mean the unknown person was of higher rank than the other guard.
The two don't let you ponder for too long as the suspect's name is spoken all too soon. "Commander Lee, what are you doing in this wing?" Minho.
Fleeing the comfort of your bed, you flatten the side of your head against the door, eavesdropping on their conversation.
   "The King ordered closer surveillance in the awaiting Queen's room." His voice is low, smoothâbut the words send a cold chill down your spine. You knew better than to take Minho's words at face value. He had always been skilled at hiding his true intentions behind a mask of loyalty, a master of keeping secrets tucked beneath the surface.
Seungmin's reply comes quickly. "There must be a mistakeâ"
   "Is there?" Judging from the slight edge to his controlled question, Minho wasn't searching for confirmation. It was a chilling assertion, daring Seungmin to challenge him.
   "No... of course not, Commander. I'm just respectfully asking why I wasn't told this before my shift."
A moment of silence lingered. "You seem to misunderstand your position." A soft, deliberate step echos, and then another, until a dark shadow slithers beneath the door, alarming too close to the other. You could only imagine how terrifying he must have lookedâteeth grounded, jaw clenched. "Courtesy is not required here, only the demand for your obedience. If there's new orders it's in your best interest to follow without concerning yourself with the specifics. Do I make myself clear?"
   "Without questions, Commander."
   "I will stand guard here, post yourself below her window."
The hurried, precise shuffling beyond the door could only be from Seungmin, surmising that he was carrying out his Commander's orders. With the guard now gone, nothing stood between you and Minho. He would come inside at any momentâhis authority granting him the right to cross the threshold.
In panic, you quickly push off the door and move to the middle of the room, watching the door creak open slowly.
Minho stands at the outer shell of the doorway, his uniform barely hiding the rise and fall of his chest. You could only assume it was the aftermath of watching you in the full glory of your sleepless state. The commander says nothing, but his eyes quickly trail up, catching the way your hair piles and pins perfectly on your head with a gold embellishment.
Shame instantly hits you. The whole night had been such a daze that you had forgotten to remove it by the time you entered your room. But it was too late; Minho's stare had already hardened, and the urge to tear it off felt fruitless.
   "What are you doing here?" you ask, the tone of your voice never really sounding as surprised as you'd hoped. Minho can practically sense the way your eyes glitter at his presence.
The commander's attention is fractioned. He knows he should answer you, even though there isn't a well-crafted one, but Minho chooses to let his eyes wander, following the way his gaze lowers, drinking in every detail of you. From the way your collarbones sit to the sheer nightgown lazily draped over your shoulders, leaving nothing to shield your body from the intensity of his stare. But you don't move to grab your robe, because you think he deserves to see you like thisâcompletely open to him.
Minho abruptly walks into the comfort of your room, his steps unsteady, as if the space around you collapses, leaving only the unspoken truth that even when you were children, he had never reached further than the foot of your stairs.
It's almost maddening when he kneels in front of you, and you can't help but feel skeptical as you note how his eyes look almost cleansed from the service of the palace. Then, by some strange force of nature, Minho unsheathes his sword, allowing the steel to rest placidly in his open palms as he offers it to you.
   "What is this?" you ask, and perhaps out of frustrationâor perhaps because he knows there's never enough time alone with youâMinho forces the sword into your hand. The new weight alarms you as the tip clinks against the floor.
   "Minho, speak! You're scaring me to my wits' end."
He grips the tip of the blade hard enough that it should tear into his skin, but his eyesâsharp, unwaveringânever flinch, revealing no trace of pain. With deliberate slowness, he aligns the blade to his shoulder, adjusting it a few times when Minho senses your hesitation.
   "Your father will handpick a group of guards for your protection," he finally speaks, his voice steady but distant. "They will follow you to the new kingdom and serve you as I've done these past months."
His stare briefly flicks to meet yours, but quickly returns downward, focused on the task at hand. "I will be among them," he continues, a hint of desperation buried beneath his rigid composure. "But due to my inexperience, I will not be chosen unless you personally vouch for me."
The words feel rehearsed, as if he's reciting a script, unable to show the full depth of the vulnerability you so desperately wish for. Even now, his plea for you to choose him is masked in formality.
   "IâI can't. Minho, my father... he's a force of natureâ"
   "And soon you'll be a woman. A wife. A queen. He would be a fool not to listen to you."
His tone is unshaken, a surge of power stirring you to your core. Then, he tilts his head, baring the curve of his neck to the sharpness of his own blade.
   "For you, it would not take an ambush to end me," he says, the words carrying the familiar weight of the boy you've always known. Minho lifts the sword again, allowing it to touch the other side of his neck, the cold steel grazing his skin like a self-made vow, knighting himself with a warrior's solemnity. "Only with your permission."
You feel the truth in the way he kneels now. You know that the only love a commander understands is forged in war. Never gentleâalways a violent and sacrificial offering, trusting you with the one thing he's never entrusted to anyoneâhis vulnerability, hidden beneath armour.
In a flash, the sword is discarded on the floor where your knees meet the cold stone. You throw an arm around him, pulling the only man that has ever mattered into your embrace, because Minho would never dare to make the first move.
Your silk gown, which was gifted by your mother to wear on your first night with Hyunjin, crumbles and gathers above your waist as a result of Minho positioning himself between your legs. His fingers burn your skin as they trail down to haul your knees closer to him, tenderly palming your lower half in slow but aggravating movements. You consider the proximity isn't close enough, that you need more than his chest pressed flat against yours, and think that if there were a way to bring him closer, you would steal it in a heartbeat.
Minho weaves his hands into your hair, bunching a fistful with a sharp tug to the side, eliciting a lewd sound that slips past your lips. He meets the sound with a stare that's nothing short of sinful, a smile playing on his lips more wicked than anything you've ever seenâlike a portrait of Hades himself. He leans in, his mouth washing over your neck with open-mouthed kisses, working the plushness of his lips and tongue to distract you from the sudden, violent yank as he rips the gold accessory from your hairâthe one gifted by the prince he so clearly despisesâand hurls it to the side, as though ridding you of everything poisonous.

Platonic yandere!Ace & Deuce
Warning(s): Yandere shit, unhealthy behavior, this shits only good for fiction irl this is no fuckin good obv, basically me rambling abt whatever comes to mind, cussing, not edited
A/N: getting more into yandere shit again, might write a fic at some point, but knowing me i doubt it lol. Sorry for the extreme lack on content, ive recently moved and been so much busier then i ever expected, also no wifi yet so its rly hard to to this on the computer. rn im pet sitting for a friend and they let me use their wifi so im able to write.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These two as yanderes wouldn't be too bad in all honesty
their just both extremely overprotective
and maybe Ace is a lot tad manipulative
Deuce just wants you to be safe and happy.
They downright refuse to let you alone with anyone that has or has tried to hurt you, it took a lot of convincing and reassuring just to let those ppl near you period
and there are quite a few ppl that fall into that category,
All the house wardens + Jamil
except for Kalim,
Crowley
I cannot express into words how much they hate Crowley,
The tweels,
Lilia
just in case.... (â_â ),
Ruggie
he and Leona are kinda a package deal in that regard,
Ortho
for B6 spoiler reasons,
And a bunch of random students
cause a lot students at this school are assholes.
And i think that's abt it so far-
Deuce worries so much abt you all the time, he's like a clingy big dog
he rarely lets you leave his or Ace's sight
Ace acts like he could give a rats ass abt you but rly he worries just as much as Deuce
These two will do virtually anything for you
want answers to a test?
they got them for you by the end of the day!
some rando bothering you?
this world might have one less person or a hospital might gain a patient!
want Ramshackle cleaned
that mf is ganna be spotless once they're done with it!
ok maybe not the last one they'll rly just casually clean when they're there and in a month it'll be sparkling
The only downside to this is that they will always bicker wth each other while doing these things.
Oh Ace and Deuce almost never leave Ramshackle btw
Just imagine having a clingy dog and cat and that's abt the same experience.
Oh and this might go without saying, but by the end of the story they won't let you more than 6 feet away from either of them at all times
and i mean ALL
also there is no way in hell you are ever going to go home
these two will fr get a sledgehammer and go to town on that mirror no matter the consequences.
Buuut before that, they'll mostly Ace try and convince you to stay willingly by saying almost anything from guilt-tripping you too antagonizing your friends and family.
Decue will try to convince you too stay by getting you things, both sentimental and otherwise
he might even go back into stealing if the time comes.
Overall, rly these two aren't all that bad, but kidnapping is still on the table if they ever need to take dire measures....
The burning summer heat fell onto the world, penetrating not just the climate but also one's mind. It was safe to say that this was by far one of the hottest days of the year in Sumeru, yet you didn't seem to mind. With a smile on your face, you walked over the sandy surface, carefree and full of joy. Today was a day of celebration, one you were destined to remember foreverâ today, you were going to create your very own family.
Years of loneliness and desperation were finally coming to an end, you could feel it in your heart.
Now, one would ask themselves how a little child like you was going to achieve such goal but you were ready to surprise them all. Months have gone into the making of your plan and nothing and no one was going to stop you from pursuing it. So as you sneaked past the gates of Caravan Ribat, you held your eyes out for your new family members.
"Look at this.." You said in awe while making your way through the bustling streets of the marketplace. You were no stranger to crowded places and commotion, despite being born in the middle of the desert. When the rations got thin and the nights too dangerous, you would often come here and borrow one or two items from the stalls or seek shelter behind one of the buildings. It was safe to say that you were at least familiar enough with the place to know where to search first.
But even though you fit right in with the people, you still had to be cautious. This place was just booming with guards and thieves, a dangerous mixture for an outsider and little kid like you. But you still did a pretty good job at mixing in with the locals. Hardly anybody took notice of your existence and even those who did, did not bother themselves longer than two seconds with your presence. After making it through the entire street, you finally arrived at your first destination.
Right under a structure or bridge, you weren't entirely sure what it was, they sat. Children like you, but a tad bit older. Despite their young appearance, nobody dared to walk past or even look at them. These teenagers were known for causing trouble after all. Yet you didn't even hesitate to approach them with a bright smile.
"Good afternoon." You said, holding out your hand. "My name is Y/n, and I would like for you guys to join my family!"
A long silence followed your words which was followed by an awkward cough. The teenagers exchanged confused looks with one another before one of them decided to speak up.
"Are you lost, kid..?" The tallest asked.
"I was but I am not anymore. I am here to recruit you guys to join my family!"
"Join...your family? I'm sorry kid but we have no interest in playing house with you. Why don't you ask mommy and daddy to get you some toys to play with them instead?"
"Don't be rude, Galehunter, the kid is just lost." A brown haired girl came to your defense. The blonde girl simply rolled her eyes and nodded her head towards your direction, acting as if you weren't right in front of them.
"Listen kid. I don't know where your parents are but you should go back and find them. You don't know us so stop saying these weird things. We could easily cut you open and sell your body parts, distribute your organs on the black market and much more. Return now and let us be."
The five teens patiently waited for you to run off in fear, show some signs that their presence was intimidating you but you remained stuck in place. Your stubbornness must have gotten on their nerves, because one of them suddenly revealed a dagger to you. The shiny object absorbed the sunlight, making it look like some expensive jewelry. The boy swung the weapon in front of your eyes but you didn't move one inch.
"This kid is crazy.." The boy with the dagger said, returning the weapon to its previous spot.
"They call you Stone Enchanter, right?" You asked the boy.
"I would like you guys to call me Frostbite. I may be young but I am the leader of a gang that is in desperate need of new members..or members in general. You and I are quite similar, forgotten kids who roam the sand and fight for their survival. We were abandoned by this world, by our archon and by the people and now seek vengeance. Follow me, thrust me and become one of the most feared soldiers the world has ever seen."
"And why should we?" Galehunter suddenly asked while approaching you.
"Why should we put our trust in the hands of a child? We don't know if you're capable of leading a group. Being from the streets means nothing if you can't play by its rules." The girl looked down at you with daring eyes, eyes which you adored but also saw as a provocation.
You knew that things wouldn't go as smoothly as you wanted them to, that is why you came prepared. You still believed that today was a date which would be engraved into the stars and you were going to do everything to make that happen.
"How can I prove myself?"
Galehunter thought for a while before her eyes suddenly lit up. She grabbed you by the shoulder and turned you around and pointed at a young boy. The child was walking hand in hand with who you assumed were his parents. An uneasy feeling started to erupt in your body as you waited for her answer.
"You see that happy family over there? The father looks like he makes good money judging from the clothes they're wearing..I'm sure he wouldn't mind a few missing Mora."
"That's it? I just have to steal some Mora?" You found the request amusing at first, a challenge easily done, but when you noticed all the guards that started to surround them, your smile quickly dropped. Their expensive attire obviously didn't go unnoticed by your eyes but to think that they were that important people, here in the middle of the desert? The task immediately shifted up on the difficulty scale.
"Today history will be written. The birth of a new organization, one that will make it all the way to the stars. We shall celebrate that birth with a big feast, which I of course will pay for."
The teens just nodded their heads and laughed, none of them taking you serious. They were doubting your skills and intelligence but that was only to be expected. None of them could ever have fathomed the strength that laid within your grasp..
âá°
Time passed, yet the sun still burned down on Teyvat like an ungodly fire. For the past thirty minutes you have tried your best to keep up with the familyâ which went quite successful most of the time. They were an easy target despite the crowded place and not to mention the unusual hair color of their son that made them stick out more than a sore thumb. By listening in during some of their conversations, you managed to find out that they were from Sumeru City and came here for some business affairs. They were indeed a family but to your surprise they weren't as rich as you thought they were.
The man was part of the Matra, a group of self proclaimed heroes of the Akademiya and his wife was a professor. They gave off a rather friendly aura but that of course didn't stop you from following through with your plan. You cautiously watched them enter the Gilded Journey, a famous resting place for all types of travelers but also quite the dangerous place for the average person. But given the man's occupation, he would have no troubles defending his people.
While watching them, you constantly tried to find an opening, a moment of distraction, but your search was in vain. If they weren't surrounded by guards and mercenaries, they would be in an too unideal position to attack from.
The only opening there was, was the son. His curious eyes gazed into all kinds of directions as they walked through the bustling marketplace. He was your best chanceâ and most likely even your only. Unsure of how to draw his attention towards you, you waited and waited, for the perfect opportunity to find you and indeed after a couple more minutes an idea popped into your head.
You waited a few more moments for one of the merchants to pull the parents into one of their exaggerated stories before you approached the kid.
"Did they sell out yet??" You asked him in a worried tone.
"The..what?" He replied in a rather confused voice.
"The nuts of course! Did they sell out yet?" Concern reflected in the boy's eyes as you continued to confuse him. He had absolutely no idea what you were talking about yet he couldn't help himself but become curious.
"What nuts are you talking about?" You carefully took a peek at his parents, who were still chatting with the merchant. You then pointed at a man who was standing in the far distance.
"His name is Hawad and he sells the most delicious Candid Ajilenakh Nuts! they're a delicacy here and are mostly known for their sweetness. They sell out really fast and I wanted to know if he still had some left. Every child loves them, so I thought that maybe you have gotten some already but..seems like you don't.."
This was the moment of truth. The boy's eyes still reeked of confusion and conflict yet the small sparks of curiosity didn't go unnoticed by you. Your heart stopped for a second when he turned around to talk to his mother but when he asked her for some Mora a big smile found its way on your face.
"Yes mother, I will be back shortly. Do not worry, the vendor is right over there." And with that said the boy ran off and you followed him. Your eyes were dead focused on the bag. He had told the woman that he was just going to buy some of the books he saw at the other stall, what a clever child. Based on that, you figured that someone as posh as him wasn't allowed to snack on such unhealthy delicates.
"What's your name?" The boy suddenly asked.
"I'm Y/n, what about you?"
"I'm Cyno!"
"Nice to meet you, Cyno." The two of you exchanged smiles before you continued to focus on the task at hand. You were only a couple minutes away from the merchant, you could already smell the sweet aroma of the nuts. You weren't lying when you said that the Ajilenakh Nuts were beloved by the people of the desert. They were sugary and nice to chew on, the perfect snack when craving something sweet and you loved them.
Your heart bloomed with each step you took forward. Cyno walked ahead of you and was equally excited, but the both of you for different reasons.
Stretching out your hands, you prepared yourself to snatch the bag out of his grip, but all of a sudden an eerie atmosphere filled the air. All the exhilaration had clouded your mind, making you forget about your surroundings. You had let your guard down and that led to a group of strangers suddenly approaching you.
"Look at that.." One of them said with a mischievous smile on his face. "We got ourselves some lost kids."
"Who appear to be in desperate need of help from some capable adults."
Cyno's smile immediately faded upon noticing their dangerous nature. He shifted closer to you but not to hide himself but rather to shield you with his own body.
"We are in no need of help." He said in a serious tone. "Just on our way back to our parents."
"Well, then why don't we guide you back?" One of the men suddenly grabbed you by the shoulders and started pushing you towards the exit of the market. You were about to yell out to get the public's attention when one of them pulled out a dagger and held it against the boy's back. It was perfectly concealed, for only your eyes to see.
"Let's bot bother anyone else, shall we?" A woman, the leader of the group you assumed, gave you a soft smile.
"Let's move to a more quiet place, shall we?.."
Your gaze moved over to Cyno, who's face was filled with horror and concern. All you were able to do was comply and follow the group off the market ground..
âá°
The sun was starting to set and with the setting of the sun , the radiant heat drastically decreased as well.
There you were, in the middle of the desert, surrounded by criminals. The group of gangsters had taken you to an abandoned camp that wasn't too far away from Caravan Ribit you believed but not exactly close either.
Neither you or Cyno had said a word throughout the entire journey, too scared to piss one of them off. Turning your gaze around towards the boy, you tried to make out the state he was currently in but his eyes were completely empty.
"Why did you take us all the way out here? If you had wanted our Mora, you simply would have taken it."
"We got ourselves a little thinker over here." The woman said, slowly approaching you.
"Times are getting rather rough out here, little one, I'm sure you heard mommy and daddy talk about it as well. The prices of basic goods are rapidly increasing day by day and simple commissions aren't enough to get us by anymore."
"So you kidnapped us in hopes that our parents would pay you guys a fine price?" Cyno suddenly joined the conversation.
"Impressive. Looks like we caught a bundle of little researchers." The woman's voice was filled with sarcasm, which earned her soft chuckles from her comrades.
Cyno just rolled his eyes at their remarks but remained silent. The situation had spiraled out of control and you were starting to get really worried. If you had been on your own, these eremites would have been taken care of in no time but the boy's presence was a great limitation to your options. You didn't want him to be confronted with any graphic scenes but you knew that you had to do something about this mess of a situation at some point.
"I must disappoint you then, I'm an orphan." You said with a smug smile on your face. Both the adults and the boy turned around to look at you.
"Then you have no worth to us.." A deep voice came forth. A tall figure raised itself into the air, pulling out a dagger from his pocket. Cyno's eyes widened in terror as he saw the sharp weapon being pointed at you but when he tried to scream out for them to stop, another individual placed their large hand over his lips, forcing him to watch in fear.
The eremite swung the dagger into the air but missed, as you moved quickly and dodged him at the last second.
A ball of your spit then hit the man right between the eyes, setting off the fury in him. But while he was cursing you, you freed yourself from the ropes they had tied your hands with together and threw yourself onto him with full force. The blade he held only seconds ago was now pointed at his own neck, but it never came in contact with his skin.
Yet he still screamed out in pain.
The Eremites around you froze up upon hearing their comrade's cries and watched the scene unfold.
"My eyes!" The man cried out, desperately pressing his hands over his face.
"That fucking brat froze my eyeballs!"
From there on, everything moved in slow motion. All remaining Eremites came charging at you but they fell as fast as they came. Your attacks were quick and unforeseeable. Like a snowstorm you swooped over them and froze their different body parts to the core. After only minutes they were all on the ground, knocked out cold or shivering uncontrollably.
The boy was beyond speechless. His mouth hung wide open as he watched you pat off the sand from your clothes as if what just happened was nothing. He didn't know what to say or how to reactâ if he should feel grateful or intimidated. He was frozen in place like the enemies on the ground and his eyes stayed stuck on the small item that had fallen out of your pocket and now dangled around in the cold desert wind.
Your Vision.
Kiss, Marry, Kill [James Potter]
Date Published: November 26, 2023
Word Count: 0.8k words
Author: PretentiousPrecious
"Who would you kiss, marry or kill?"
It must be the alcohol in your system that made you braver than usual. It could be because you felt light-headed which lead you to think that he's flirting with you.
James Fleamont Potter, the Gryffindor chaser and head boy, sat in front of you. He's too loud and proud for you to handle. He's too arrogant and boastful for your liking.
You despise that he's too confident. You envy the way he gets high grades without giving too much effort. You dislike that he's always full of happiness. You hate that you love him, unexpectedly.
He's a walking catastrophe but a living blessing. You notice that he always protects the younger Gryffindors from the bullying of Slytherins. You cannot ignore how big his heart isâ to give his friend, Sirius, a family in his home.
James and you are the exact opposite of each other. Your personalities clash that you can only count with your fingers the times when you both agreed with the same thing. You argue with the smallest things and fight with the bigger matters.
He loves to tease you because your patience is always thin around him. He does this to arouse a reaction from you. You rarely show emotions around your friends as you tend to isolate and keep to yourself.
You don't love him, right? He's still the same boy you saw as annoying and infantile.
But, you agree to disagree.
As time passes by, you both grow mature. James somehow turned into a fine, young man. There were times when he was still a little bit naughty, but most of the time, he acted prim and proper like a lady.
The professors were shocked with this big change and it led to granting James the head boy title.
Pretty shocking, isn't it?
Still, he deserves it. He doesn't even plan pranks anymore but he makes sure to deduct points on the house of the bullies, without exception.
Strangely, he is now always calm around you. You both don't fight like cats and dogs anymore. You no longer clash with him. There's peace and equilibrium in both of you.
You can't help but notice how smart he truly is. How gifted he was with his talent for quidditch. How hardworking he is both in academics, and sports. How much he sacrificed in order to achieve his dreams, and goals.
You grow closer to each other as you learn more about him, and it frightens you. You're scared that your feelings for him will swell deeper.
You can't help but notice how attractive he was. How ethereal his features are. Like he's an artwork carved by the world's greatest sculptor with great passion.
You feel like you're deep into the ocean as you look into his eyes, drowning you with his stares as he makes eye contact with you in every conversation.
His eyes are full of life and emotion. He looks at you as if you're the only one he can see while you both sit and drink some tea.
His curly and unruly hair, which is soft to touch for he lets you brush and untangle it while you both read in the common room. He will wrap his strong arms around you, tightly, as you're both relaxing through this night activity.
Tonight is different from the usual. There's a party held at the Gryffindorâs common room as the quidditch team won the championship game against the Slytherins. It's a tough and rough game but they managed to win, fair and square.
You're not sitting closely with James on the sofa as you and your friends are sitting on the floor. You all form a circle as you play âtruth or dareâ.
You've been playing for half an hour and not even once you've been chosen by the bottle. You are growing more tired and uneasy as you patiently wait for this game to finish, yet there's no sign of its end as your friends are still sober.
You hold your breath as the bottleneck points at you. You felt dread as you looked at the person sitting across you.
James wears a sly smirk as he winked at you. You raised a brow on him as a response to his sudden giddiness.
âTruth or dare?â He asked you excitedly.
âTruth,â you answered unsurely.
âWho would you kiss, marry or kill among everyone in this circle?â You badly want to wipe off his stupid grin on his face.
âFor a kiss⊠I would kiss Sirius because half of the Hogwarts' population vouch that he's good at it.â You saw his grin falter as Sirius winked at you from the other side of the circle.
âOkay⊠how about marry?â He asked as if he was expecting yet you noticed that there's a hint of nervousness in his smile.
âHmm⊠I would marry Remus because he's such a husband material.â The other players all nod in agreement while James scoffed at your answer.
âAnd who would you kill, then?â He grumbles as he's the only male participant left in the circle.
"For killâŠâ You hesitate to answer.
"I would like to kill myself for lying instead of admitting that you're the only one I want to kiss and marry, Potter.â
Luckiest man
First time writing for Honkai star rail! Enjoy everyone
Here I am also, trying a new format of writing đ«¶đ»
Synopsis: things you do that make these hrs men feel like the luckiest man in the universe
Pairing: Dan heng x gn!reader , Sampo x gn!reader, Gepard x gn! Reader
Cw: fluff, headcanon, not proofread
âââââââąâ„â„â„âąââââââ
DAN HENG
Dan Heng always feels like the luckiest man when hes with you, but something about waking up with you beside him either still sleeping soundly or awake gazing at him hits different.
The intimate moment you both share when sleeping together is something he wouldnt trade for the world
Its one of tbe only times you both get peace and quiet around.
If you still end up sleeping, he'll observe your features. The quite snore you make, the way your brows furrow from time to time, like your dream was extreamly serious
If you wake up before him though, he gets a bit flustered when he finally wakes up. Seeing your eyes look at him longingly as you broke the silence between the 2 of you "morning dear". It gets him everytime
he truly is the luckiest man in the universe.
SAMPO
Sampo is a comic relief. Hes an idiot and a pain in the ass
All of which you have grown accustom to over time
Lots of people dont get how you can put up with his pathetic ass but here you are.
Sampo is well aware on how lucky he is to have such a patient partner like you and wouldnt dare take advantage of your kindness towards him.
He tries to make it up to you, be it giving gifts, acts of service or intimate moments between the 2 of you
You appreciate it all, but Sampo felt like he didnt hit the spot yet, one of which would make you truly appreciate what hes got to offer
After all youve given much more to him than you know,
You gave him many opportunities. You have him patience, kindness, love...
He feels like he needs up step up his game.
He finally found out what truly gets you to appreciate Sampo Koski
Its the jokes he makes, its when he embarrasses himself infront of you when he tried to look cool, its when he gets clumsy.
You laugh, and its a genuine laugh.
Whether or not your laugh was suppose to be a laugh of pity or not it was still genuine in the man's eyes
And thats what matters.
Because anytime he gets you to laugh, you'd help him back to his feet and give him a sweet kiss on his lips.
He starts making a fool out himself more often, of course not too often...
That would be concerning, but he does so when he knows you need it the most.
When you laugh, you make him feel appreciated
he starts chanting prayers to the Aeons above, thanking them for making him the way he is, and for bringing you to him.
GEPARD
Gepard is a general, a Landau. His family was known to be warriors of Belobog. Serving until the end
As he made his way to the top, he got busier and busier. Coming home late, or even coming home the next morning.
When you both decided to make it official between the 2 of you, he told you about the late nights he may come home, and you stayed by his side anyways.
Accepting that, although it can get lonely sometimes, you are willing to wait for him to come home, and finally get the rest you both deserve together.
The general came home one night, to see a dim light coming from the living room.
It was you reading a book on the sofa, and he knew you were waiting for him again.
He felt guilty, for making you stay up and lose sleep, just to wait for him.
Gepard insisted that you shouldnt wait for him to come home next time, as he might come home later or even the next day. But you told him the same words he heard the first time he told you about the late nights
"Im aware and I dont care. I'll keep on waiting for you to come home. Whether it be 10 minutes or late into the night. I want to be able to welcome you home, and I want you to be able to sleep well, knowing that Im here right beside you."
Your patience and determination was what got him and
He knew he was head over heels for you now. My my what a lucky general this Landau became
I had the inconvenience to read a post where it said that percabeth was a bad ship because they don't seem to LIKE each other and I'm like??????????? How can anybody not get THAT? Like seriously, think about it for just a minute.
Imagine you are Annabeth. Your family pretty much abandoned you. Your newfound sister died so you could make it out alive. When you were just seven years old. It is hard for you to trust anyone because you keep on losing who matters to you. And you know about the prophecy and that you won't leave camp until the kid from the prophecy shows up (if Chiron hasn't said that, I'm sure Annabeth was able to connect the dots). The kid who's gonna die when he turns 16 to save Olympus OR destroy it. So you're NOT supposed to like him, even though you know your pathes will cross. You expect him to be a son of Zeus, which would be fine. You can be his deputy in battle, just as your mom is Zeus', and when he dies, it's gonna be "Farewell, my lord, it was an honour to fight under your command". Not very delightful, but you are used to worse.
Then Percy shows up. And he is a son of POSEIDON. Not at all what you expected, yet it's your destiny to interact somehow with him. What if he turns out evil? What if you're the one who HELPS him destroy Olympus? Okay, no, no, no, stop. You are NOT SUPPOSED to like him AT ALL. But- he is kinda charming. Not the arrogant, wrath filled rowdy you'd expect. A troublemaker, yes, but he's trying to be nice to everyone, always roots for the underdogs, doesn't care about your parents' rivalry and is incredibly skilled yet totally unaware of it. You go on the quest. You safe the world. And you realise he is kind and brave and just and will never turn evil. This is the hero who will die while defending Olympus. And you're the fool who couldn't avoid falling in love with him.
Fast forward. Percy keeps on doing annoyingly cute and noble stuff you wish you never saw because it makes you like him even more. The photo. Tyson (you don't like him, but it IS wholesome that Percy chose to be his friend when no one else was). The moment he gave Clarisse the fleece. Then you get kidnapped and he travels across the whole country to save you, even lifts the sky for you. And then he says he chooses the prophecy and you give up all hope (you've spend hours and hours thinking whether you'd want Thalia to die or Percy, and you feel so guilty for it). He doesn't even know the full meaning, but you are just sure he'd make the same choice if he knew it means death, all to protect a little boy he hardly knows.
And you're like: Fuck this. Too late to run from your feelings. You're already in love. Your heart's gonna be broken anyways. So, you decide to try your luck. If you're gonna miss him for a lifetime, it shall be worth it. And THEN, suddenly, Rachel shows up. Like, this is no average teenage love triangle drama bullshit. OF COURSE, Annabeth explodes like a volcano. Any of us would.
Meanwhile, Percy doesn't know shit and is just hella confused. He doesn't know the content of the prophecy, doesn't know much about Greek mythology and whenever he does, he doesn't care. He just gets the impression that Annabeth hates him, yet somehow seeks his company. Percy has close to zero confidence, due to him also being often abandoned and ending up as a failure and an outsider, so it's probably the second part that's harder to understand, but he tries to make the best of it. He is kind and patient, offers Annabeth his friendship and ultimately, she accepts. Not for a second he'd imagine she might be in love with him, Because This Is Not How People Behave. From his perspective, Annabeth tends to act like a bitch out of nowhere, sometimes she pushes him away, sometimes she wants him to come closer. He accepts this somehow, but of course he gets frustrated sometimes. Who wouldn't?
But still he never even thinks about going low contact. He never questions their friendship, he always wants Annabeth as close as possible. And people say they don't LIKE each other? Please!
#percy jackson#the conflicts they have root in the disequilibrium of what they know about the future#cuz when they meet Percy is like âonly good things in my life are my mom and my best friend so if this girl hates me It's business as usualâ#and Annabeth is like: âmy only chance to be ever happy is my sworn enemy and doomed to die and still I'm somehow in love with himâ#percy jackson and the olympians#pjo#pjo series#percabeth#annabeth chase#the lightning thief#sea of monsters#the titans curse#battle of the labyrinth#the last olympian
Ok so I just finished season six of supernatural and Iâm having so many thoughts now that Iâve actually seen all the shit Iâve heard about. Also thank you to @sparrow-the-tired-lesbian for putting up with this shit Iâm so sorry I send so many words that you donât understand. I also have to do a part two cause itâs that much Iâm so sorry.
Cas needed help in heaven and he went to go ask Dean but he saw that Dean was happy. Dean got out and Cas just couldnât bring himself to ruin Deans peace. Crowley used this vulnerability and Casâ love for Dean to manipulate him and convince him to open purgatory. Cas only started down that path because he loved Dean too much to bring him into his issues.
Then throughout all of season six Sam and Dean call Cas for help and he always goes even when heâs literally in the middle of a battle. Like dude is so dedicated. And whenever Crowley tells Cas that it would be easier to just kill them Cas refuses because theyâre his friends.
The Winchesters and Bobby are the first people to actually enjoy Cas and the first humans who actually like him. Heâs so dedicated and loyal to them but when they find out he was working with Crowley wanna know who was most upset? Fucking Dean. Dean didnât want to believe it either, he wanted so hard to believe that Cas wouldnât work with Crowley cause itâs Cas.
But then of course Dean finds out itâs true and they both are just so hurt. Even after theyâve trapped him Cas tells them to run and he stalls so that they can get out. From that point on he is trying so hard to not hurt them and to get this done without them being involved. He finds out that Deans ex gf and ânot his sonâ get kidnapped and he just about kills Crowley. But he still need Crowley to open purgatory cause he needs the power that is there. But he only needs that power to stop Raphael and he only needs to stop Raphael because Raphael wants to start the apocalypse back up but Cas doesnât want that and he tried to stop the apocalypse the first time. But he only stopped the apocalypse the first time because he rebelled and fell in love with Dean.
Cas only needs Crowley to open purgatory because he couldnât bring himself to disturb deans peace. After Dean finds out that Cas was spying on them and working with Crowley Dean is obviously pissed. But Cas keeps showing up and he keeps asking Dean to be patient. He talks about how he does everything Dean asks, he always helps them, and yet Dean wonât believe that he knows what heâs doing solely because heâs working with a demon. Cas keeps trying to tell Dean that he is doing this for a reason, because he needs to stop Raphael so that the world doesnât end again but Dean wonât listen.
So eventually Cas opens purgatory and he gets all that power in there and then what does Dean try to do? He tryâs to use the âI wouldâve died for you, youâre familyâ and Cas calls him out on his bullshit. Cas knows now that he is only loved by them because he is useful. He is tired and done. He had to kill his favorite brother because he told Dean and Bobby where to go, he killed Raphael because he was too stubborn to accept that God is a douchebag and now he knows that the man he is in love with, the man he risked everything for many times, the guy whose become his father, his brother they only care about him when heâs useful.
They only call for him when they need something and he is done with it. If they wonât respect him heâll become god and make them. And he does, he becomes god. He has tried and tried to get Dean to see it his way, he tells Dean that he only is reasoning with him now because Cas was right about the power from purgatory and Dean is scared. And Dean is scared, heâs terrified. Cas has so much power and heâs not acting right but Dean itâs kinda your fault. Dean refused to listen to believe that maybe this incredible being knew what he was doing and Cas wasnât left with any other options.
