Haven't done this in a while but I finished another podcast so here's Victoriocity characters in picrew (I didn't do Julius cause... I didn't feel like it. And yes Sandringham looks exactly like Peter Nureyev cause I pictured them as the same person in my head for some reason. Like they have the same imagination actor for me)

King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra with their grandchildren, Princess Mary, Prince Albert, Prince Henry and Prince Edward, 1901.
Photo by Frederick William Ralph // NPG
The four children spent much time with their grandparents in 1901, with their parents away undertaking an Empire tour between March and November:
‘King Edward and Queen Alexandra adored their grandchildren and liked nothing more than to have them with them. Thus, for nearly eight months, the three Princes and Princess Mary, together with their nursery entourage, followed the peregrinations of the Court from Marlborough House to Sandringham and from Osborne to Balmoral. The bonds of discipline were definitely relaxed. King Edward, with his jovial bonhomie and enjoyment of life, and with formidable recollections of his own early instruction, discouraged lessons as constituting an unnecessary inhibition to fun. Both he and the Queen encouraged the children in their boisterous expression of animal spirits and delighted to show them off before distinguished visitors at luncheon at Buckingham Palace and Sandringham, when they were allowed to romp openly in the dining-room.’

Don't worry Charles has now hired her for BP etc. which is way worse than paying her from the Duchy of Cornwall
However, all is not lost for Ms Elliot, who is still enjoying some professional benefits from her relationship with the King and Queen.
She was recently employed to oversee significant improvements to the visitor centre and restaurant at Balmoral ahead of its opening to the public this summer and Buckingham Palace sources confirmed she would continue to be involved with the household when there are “appropriate opportunities”.
Reports suggest that she has also undertaken work on the King’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk over the last 18 months or so.
The Duchy has previously (under Charles) admitted that the contracts for its design work were not put out to tender.

I fully believe that Harry was told at the LAST minute. Ie over the weekend before the office announcement on Monday and harry solely viewed this an opportunity to redeem himself. He didn’t visit balmoral when the queen was in poor health. This was his subconscious talking and he turned it into an attempt to get positive PR.
I also believe Charles timed it his leave for sandringham that way because people were reading into Harry immediately hoping on a plane to come over. He was driving the sensational headlines by holding up a plane (if that’s actually true), and flying back the same day it was announced. The general public took that as a sign things were worse than Charles was willing to admit.
Charles immediately came out with it’s a business as usual approach. He will still be meeting weekly with gov, William is back going to a gala tonight. It really seems as though Charles and William had a plan to reinforce that things will be as normal while he’s in treatment.
Harry flying back literally the next morning, is THE biggest statement you can make without really making a statement. He’s not part of the plan, he doesn’t have a role and that’s final. This just highlights that Harry is really no longer in the know, he’s on the outside. He didn’t even stay on crown property last night. This stunt did him no favors. I don’t even think they’ll space at trooping. I think they’re really going to push for summer at sandringham, fully expecting they’ll be invited back for Christmas. I’m not so sure Meghan would ever do Christmas again.
You are absolutely right.
For the longest time Harry and Meghan have held onto the belief that they are someone still the stars of the BRF and that without them the BRF is going to crumble and disintegrate.
Unfortunately for them, that didn't happen and they are now realizing that not only the BRF, but the world, has moved on without them.
Any leverage they felt they had over the BRF has long since evaporated and once when they were honored guests at Charles' home in Scotland, they are now the interlopers during a family crises.

Like grandfather, like grandson - Chapter 4 - Sandringham House
Sandringham House, Norfolk, Monday, 11th December 1972
Camilla was still in a bit of a shock, firstly about Charles’ somehow not-so unexpected proposal about two weeks ago, and secondly, actually just recently, about his grandmother’s invitation to Sandringham House, which she, even if she had wanted to, hardly could have turned down. It was the week of both, the King’s accession day and his birthday, which was going to end with the third Sunday of Advent, and moreover the last day before Charles would leave for the Navy. It was not the first time she was invited to stay with the Royal Family, God knew how often she, her parents and siblings had joined them for hunting weekends at Balmoral back when they had all been children - but Sandringham House was something different, and this time, she was not just the daughter of a much appreciated World-War-II veteran and granddaughter of darling Mrs Greville's ever so adored goddaughter, but the more or less official girlfriend of Prince Charles of Edinburgh!
“It’s a very small group, darling, and it will be a cosy atmosphere!”, he had promised her when he had brought her his grandmother’s invitation. “It’ll be only my grandparents, Aunt Margo, Uncle Peter, the cousins and us!”, he had explained and at least the absence of his parents had somehow calmed her down a bit, yet, it was still frightening enough. A driver had picked her up early on this Monday morning to ensure she'd arrive in time for luncheon. There'd be a small reception to mark the 35th anniversary of His Majesty's accession later in the afternoon, certainly an especially bittersweet one this year, Camilla thought, considering the Duke of Windsor's death last May. Despite everything, The King had insisted that his brother should have a State Funeral in everything but name, and Charles, alongside his mother's cousins the Duke of Kent, Prince William of Gloucester (who had so tragically died only a couple of weeks later which had been a huge heartbreak for the whole family), and his own eldest cousin George, Viscount Linley, first born son of Princess Margaret and her husband Captain Peter Townsend, the Earl and Countess of Snowdon, had stood vigil during the lying-in-state of the former monarch. It had caused some controversy, but also underlined once more just how important family and forgiveness was to King George VI, and as far as Camilla was concerned, she had been deeply impressed and touched by his generous gesture, as was her entire family and most people she knew. For the occasion, Camilla had got herself a simple, but elegant, knee-length black silk and lace dress of which she hoped that it wouldn't draw the attention away from Charles’ grandmother. She very much preferred to stay as invisible as possible and, of course, would never want to “outshine” The Queen! Though it was probably impossible to outshine Her Majesty with her fancy style anyway, but still.
“Here we are, Ma'am, Sandringham House.”, the driver announced and Camilla's heart stopped for a moment as she, indeed, caught sight of the famous, red bricked, Jacobethan styled country house right next to her out of the car window, and much to her relief, her Prince right in front of the building, happily smiling and waving at her. “Darling!”, he greeted her affectionately, as soon as she got out of the window, tenderly kissing both her cheeks. “I'm so glad you're here, I've missed you terribly! Have you had a comfortable journey?” “Yes, darling, everything went well.”, she confirmed, with a grateful nod towards the driver, who was meanwhile unloading her luggage, that would later be carried into the house by another servant. “Come on, my love, let's go inside.”, Charles said, tenderly wrapped her arm around her and guided her through the main entrance. “Where are the others?”, Camilla asked, a bit frightened. So far, nobody was in sight, but she didn't want to experience any kind of surprises, so wanted to be sure. “Grandpa is working in his office, Granny and Aunt Margo have gone on a ride, Uncle Peter and the boys have gone fishing and Sarah…” “... has been waiting for you all morning!!!”, the Prince's seven-year-old cousin, who had suddenly appeared as if by magic, excitedly declared and almost jumped onto Camilla’s arms. “Hello young lady!”, Camilla greeted her affectionately and Sarah's eyes widened in excitement. They had met a few short times before and somehow, Sarah was almost as much in love with her cousin's girlfriend as she himself. “Charles says you're drawing, is that true?”, the little girl asked and Camilla nodded. “I do, but I'm not very good…” “That's not true!”, Charles immediately protested. “You're absolutely brilliant, darling!” “And you like horses, right?”, Sarah happily babbled away. “Can I show you that stables later?” “For the moment, sweetheart, please hold your horses and let Camilla arrive first!”, Charles giggled, but Camilla gave him an approving glance, confirming that she didn't mind the little girl's behaviour at all. She had two younger siblings herself and she loved children, so everything was fine. “Well, in that case, Sarah, you might like to show Camilla her room?”, he asked and Sarah nodded excitingly. “I helped Mary preparing it yesterday!”, she explained and took Camilla's hand. “It's next to mine, we girls have an entire corridor of our own!” Camilla looked at Charles and he nodded. Of course - only married couples were allowed to share a room in this circle… Trying to conceal her slight disappointment, Camilla followed Sarah up the stairs and to the room that was going to be hers for the rest of the week. “I'll come and pick you up for lunch in about half an hour!”, he promised and blew a kiss, before the ladies rushed around the corner and were out of sight.

Uhh Camilla’s children and grandchildren are private citizens and do not draw any funds from the Duchy of Lancaster
Camilla isn’t spending like mad either - she’s wearing her usual sort of clothes and usual jewellery etc. she rewears a lot and is also the Queen consort too
Also any money that Charles gives to his stepchildren and step grandchildren is his own private money and he is allowed to do so like any stepfather and stepgrandfather
Hi Nonny,
I'm glad that you sent this in, as it gave me a nudge to research what money The King gets from where.
The King draws his money from 3 sources: his own private fortune, the Sovereign Grant, and the Duchy of Lancaster.
The Sovereign Grant comes from the Crown Estate, which had had assets worth £16.5bn in 2022, including almost £8bn of properties in London, including Regent Street, as well as nearly half the land along the coast of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The Sovereign Grant is 25% of the profits of the Crown Estate generated two years previously. All the profits go to the Treasury, and the Government hands this amount back to the monarch..
The Sovereign Grant is spent on expenses related to the official duties of The King and other working royals. According to Forbes, 10 percent of the family's cut goes toward maintaining Buckingham Place. The remaining 15 percent is used to cover costs associated with hosting formal events, royal family travels, payroll, and housekeeping.
The Duchy of Lancaster is a privaye estate passed down from monarch to monarch. It covers more than 18,000 hectares of land in areas such as Lancashire and Yorkshire, as well as property in central London. Worth £654m, it generates about £20m a year in profits.
The King receives the profits from the Duchy of Lancaster and can spend the money as he wishes. He is not entitled to any proceeds from the sale of any estate assets, which must be reinvested.
Security arrangements are usually paid for by the Metropolitan Police.
The monarch also owns the royal palaces (which are not part of the Crown Estate) and part of the Royal Collection of art, and private properties such as Sandringham and Balmoral. He may also have private art collections, jewellery, and other assets that he can do with as he wishes.
So if The King is giving any money to his stepchildren and step grandchildren, then it should come from the Duchy of Lancaster or any private fortune that he possesses. Ditto for any private gifts he gives to his wife or any money he puts aside for her future.

Today in Facing Tempests: Henry and Alex explore an attic. Yes, really.
The door on the right leads to a broom closet. The door on the left reveals a flight of short, narrow stairs that lead at a sharp incline toward what Alex assumes is the attic; they’re little more than a glorified ladder. Servant stairs, Alex figures, ascending them practically on tiptoe. “Hey, so I’m not gonna find a cursed painting that looks like you up here, am I?” Alex asks Henry, who’s right on his heels. “Of course not,” Henry replies, his tone serious. “We keep all of those at Balmoral.” Alex laughs and shoulders open a trapdoor at the top of the stairs, then steps up into a surprisingly airy attic space. Up here, the sounds of the house fade away, and all that’s audible is the soft creaking of the wooden planks underfoot, the scuff of their soles as they walk, and the hum of a few dehumidifiers scattered throughout the space. The attic is split into multiple rooms by rough-hewn pillars and the narrow slats that would’ve made up the foundation of a horsehair plaster wall. The late morning sunlight filters through the windows and between the gaps in the slats, illuminating the space as Henry and Alex skirt around the elevator cage to begin making their way across the attic. Each attic room is packed full of what Alex can only assume are a few million pounds’ worth of artifacts and antiquities. God, he could look at things for weeks up here without making a dent. “Most of these things belonged to members of the royal family who have passed on,” Henry says, his voice quietly reverent. “Sandringham is one of the few royal estates not owned by the state, so it’s become somewhat of a storage facility for the things that we can’t auction off, donate to a charity shop, or display in an archive someplace. A lot of this holds sentimental value as well, or held it, anyway, for other members of the family who’ve since passed.” “I guess royal garage sales aren’t really a thing, huh,” Alex murmurs. Henry laughs softly. “Not particularly, no.”

No card as of yet. As you pointed out, they certainly had the time and energy to film a perfume commercial. And time and energy to attend a Christmas Carol service. And time and energy to attend Wimbledon and play paint ball! The statement that they aren 't obligated to send out an xmas card frosts me to no end. It's their effing job! This is the 21st century, not the sixteenth. They are getting paid and paid very well for representing the BRF. The Wales' fandom acts like the divine right of kings is alive and well. As I've said before, if they don't want the job, then abdicate. It looks like both of them are on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I don't know what is happening in their lives, but for whatever reason, they are shirking their RESPONSIBILITIES. Reminder: it's their job. Why don't the Wales' fandom see this? All that inherited wealth didn't just drop out of the sky. It was built ON THE BACKS of the public and, yes, the wealth the Brits drained from their colonies. IMO, people deserve straight, honest answers for why William has lost, what, at least two stone and Kate looks drawn and exhausted. Also, I'd like to comment on the Camilla haters and how she's lounging around reading books all day. She's 77 fucking years old. She was out there filling in for Charles, the man who is actually undergoing chemo. She's done more engagements in the last three months than her son-in-law despite having what appears to be a chronic lung infection. Again, I'm not a C&C stan OR a W&C stan. I'm just looking at this situation and thinking, man, what a cluster. No wonder Charles is disgusted with both of them. He can barely keep the contempt off his face. This is a man who clearly believes he's in his position due to divine intervention. His sense of duty is off the charts. How long is William going to be able to claim it's been a bad year? Again, let's remind everyone who is venerating Catherine that the late Queen AND HER SON worked/are working during their battles with cancer. Note to William: when Philip was clearly dying, the Queen still worked through her red boxes, as Charles is doing now. They revered/revere the monarchy and were/are beholden to it. The Wales seem to view it as this enormous burden they have to suffer through while living in unparalleled luxury and privilege as a result of its benefits. I wish Philip were alive to knock some sense into people's heads.
But avoiding the public when Will & Kate know they are going to be humiliated is the reason for the publishing delay of the Christmas card. Their staff can publish it to instagram and twitter after Will & Kate are back at Sandringham or Anmer Hall, after the Christmas Day service and walk.
It's that simple.
When did they decide that they were going to do it this way? Who knows, but if a little bird told me that it was when Will & Kate took that extra trip back up to Balmoral at the end of September, I wouldn't be surprised.
Camilla has always done more work than Will and especially Kate. Even when it's been known that Camilla has health problems that permit her from doing more. She still sucks it up and does her best. Can't say the same Will or Kate.
I'm sure Kate is just going to hide away and do not much next year. Probably the same big events as this year; although, I doubt she's going to get a standing ovation at Wimbledon again. She's just going to avoid the public for as long as she can. William will do his regular bare minimum, which includes over-emphasis on his personal projects instead of regular Brits. (I counted 8 Earthshot engagements that he attended outside of Earthshot week. Earthshot is about 10% of his workload this year based on Gert's tally.)
Why don't the Wales' fandom see this?
They don't want to live in reality like the rest of us. Everyone can see that Kate is avoiding the public and her work. The Wales fans just buy the pr spin for everything. No matter the discrepancies people point out, they have their excuses for believing their faves are the bestest royals to have ever royaled.
Just think of all the things that have happened over the past 16 months that they don't have a good explanation for:
Jean-Christophe's sudden resignation
Kate's pantsuit streak
The delay in announcing Kate was having "planned abdominal surgery"
The KP pissing contest with the British Army
The Mother's Day photo disaster
Kate received a very low-ranking order this past spring
William saying he couldn't attend the Olympics because of Kate's "chemo," yet he could attend a Taylor Swift concert and the Euros.
Kate being healthy enough to spend 30 hours filming the perfume ad but can't visit a cancer charity.
Kate not wearing her engagement ring in public or in her perfume ad.
William's new equerry isn't supporting Kate.
His and Hers finance managers
That list doesn't include everything, but it includes a lot.
A lot of things that the Wales fandom just brushes off and pretends we're all just jelly-haterz because Will & Kate look good in evening wear.
Seriously.
That's all the Wales fandom is.
Celebrating two forty-year olds because they usually look good in photos.
That's it.
The reason this is happening is because William became independent of his father when he became The Duke of Cornwall. William doesn't have to answer to his father for anything because William pays for all his underlings. William is behind all of these mistakes.
Charles apparently decided he wasn't going to interfere with these mistakes because it's better that Will & Kate fail publicly now while they're only The Prince & Princess of Wales.

Plant, At what point will she really bring out the kids publicly to make money? And do you think this will work? What kind of value does 2 kids using Prince and Princess titles in America bring to the table? Especially since the cute Wales children are already well established world wide as a comparison.
I don’t think the kids can bring in that much, even with their titles, because they have no contact with the royal family. If they were spending summers at Balmoral and Christmas at Sandringham, maybe.
But they are not. They don’t even have a house at Windsor anymore. They are just kids with a chicken coop and two dogs.
