This is a remote, non-union, largely asynchronous opportunity recording in the autumn of this year. Casting Call

Apologies for the delay but it's finally time to tell you that we're casting for our audiodrama Project Helheim.

Project Helheim is a queer sci-fi story about people who were born as the second generation after the aliens invaded. While rebels try to fight back and bountyhunters have adapted to the new world order with scrupulous efficiency, Zach, Astrid, Jamie, Neptune, Helena and Phil are troublemakers. Get in, get out, survive.

But when they get caught up in a situation that requires more than just trouble they, along with a reluctant new addition to their group, find themselves in a race against time to stop it.

We're looking to cast one protagonist (Neptune) as well as several smaller roles.

My next Audio Fiction I Love article is out!

@camlannpod by Ella Watts and @tincanaudio has been one of the most exciting shows to premiere in 2024, and I certainly hope we'll be getting more. It's a beautiful story with stellar acting and distinctive sound design and music that has made me weep and shout several times over.

Here's the description:

One day, every apocalypse happened at once. Follow three survivors and their dog as they try to understand what happened to the world, and build a home from the ashes. ​Camlann is a post-apocalyptic fantasy series about the necessity of hope for survival. Dai, Morgan, Perry and their noble wolfhound Gelert venture out into the Welsh countryside to escape the devastation that hordes of folkloric monsters have wrought among the cities. Not to mention the "Knights of the Round Table", a former university rugby team turned maniacal feudal lordship on the hunt for their Sir Peredur, and the witch Morgan Le Fay.

My next Audio Drama I love is here!

This Pride Month, the queer community has been dealing with attack after attack. Especially queer youth are vulnerable to this.

@keepitsteadypod and the other stories discussed in this article are about the empowerment of queer joy in Young Adult fiction.

For those of you unfamiliar with this show, here's the description:

Seventeen-year-old Zach is not a moral crusader. He's a snarky, well-liked stoner who attends detention about as often as Algebra. Unfortunately, he's also a closeted bisexual in 2005, in a town where even the potheads are conservatives. When school firebrand Gabe suggests they pretend to date in order to take the heat off two female students who are actually in love, Zach knows it's the worst idea he's ever heard. Then he does it anyway.
