BLIND DATES OC FEST 2023
something for @mercurygray ’s OC Fest, which I … conveniently remembered after restarting The Pacific. So we went with a triple whammy challenge for myself here — new OC, new “canon” character, and a different side of the war. Went into a name generator, got “Vicki Graves” and … now we’re here. Melbourne antics featuring a bar, macarons, a birthday, a selective risk-taker, and Poet’s very first attempts at writing Hoosier. Have a neat little moodboard for my girl, and then the writing is below the cut :) we’re also just short of 2k words I am so normal about her. this also took on a bit of a “Before Sunrise” feel that I’m not ??? mad about ??? anyways moving on—
Tumblr media
It was a great camera all things considered.
The latest model — it came with a case and film in a green gift box, sitting pretty on her desk at the office that morning, with a note that read “Happy Birthday Vee ~ Lois” in bubble letters. She was promptly ambushed when she sat down — with balloons and a coffee and a bagel with jam from that bakery down the street. They crowded around her when she opened the box with the camera and the film, Lois at the front with that prideful grin and her hands on her hips.
It was a good morning. Not a bad birthday.
The music was loud, a song being carried by a marine’s not-quite-sober vibrato. He whisked Margie away with that inebriated tenor of his, his friend joined in and he had an arm around her waist as he continued to croon. The music drowned out the shutter of her camera, and the lighting wasn’t terrible either, so Vicki remained seated and observing, peering through her viewfinder and snapping a photo with a click.
She took one earlier, of Lois and the marine she’d been dancing with for the better half of the night. Lew, that’s what he said his name was, tall and broad-shouldered with a smile like trouble. But Lois looked too good in her shirtwaist dress to pass up. The camera wouldn’t capture it, but the warm yellow of it brought out the shininess of her hair, the glow to her summer-tanned skin. Vicki would give it to her tomorrow.
Years from now, she could try to imagine the yellow, and if warranted, the marine holding her too.
No dancing or trouble-making marines for her; she was reserving her courage to spend on calling her mother later, maybe, if it proved to be enough to give her that extra oomf.
Christ, Vick, she could hear Lois scolding her, clear as day. Y’wanna go take pictures of war zones but you can’t even call your own mom?
Well, she’d reply, in war zones they might not ask me if I found a boy to bring home yet. They’d just let me take the damn pictures.
And maybe it was the summer heat making the bar turn stuffy — or maybe the prospect of boyfriends and aspirations and disappointing phone conversations with mother dearest were enough to flush her face and leave her unreasonably flustered. Whatever it was, she didn’t like how Margie, all tangled up in the singing marine, would glance her way and grin, like she was concocting.
And there were far too many people around for concoctions.
Vicki rose, slipping through the excitability and alcohol-induced merriment towards the front door. She wouldn’t leave. Well, maybe she wouldn’t leave, but it was hot and stuffy and she needed air that wasn’t coupled with the hazy scent of cigarettes.
She stepped out into the cool summer night and let out a hefty sigh, the night air cooling the flush to her cheeks almost instantaneously. She could walk home — it was fifteen minutes to her apartment. The sidewalks were busy though, and she wasn’t entirely sure if she wanted to take the risk with so many strangers out and about.
She was still rotating her options when the door opened and shut again. She looked to her left.
Vicki recognized him, vaguely (as in: he’d come in with Lew and they’d approached the table, and she’d noticed the blue to his eyes, the pout to his lips, and the swagger of his walk, and even though he didn’t ask her to dance she almost wished he did).
“He ain’t givin’ her back.” He broke the silence first, his lip curling into a grin. He and Lew had a similar twang to their voices. She followed his eyes as they looked back through the window, to Lois and Lew and their goofy grins.
“First you take my cricket field, now you take my ride home,” she lamented melodramatically, letting herself put her full weight on the window. “Greedy little bunch, you Yanks.” He chuckled, looking down to pull out a cigarette and light it.
“Apologies, ma’am, if it makes up for it I’ve got good word that uh… Bud and your friend there were gettin’ ready to serenade the birthday girl ‘till she slipped away.”
“And is that good word coming from the one meant to reel her back in?” He smiled at her rhetoric, giving a lazy sort of shrug.
“It could be.”
“And does the retriever have a name or should I keep calling him Marine?” She watched as the end of his cigarette burned orange, before smoke slipped from his lips.
“I’ve also got good word it might be Bill. Smith. You wouldn’t happen to know the name of lady he’s looking for, would you?” She couldn’t help but snort at that, shaking her head slightly as the way his grin seemed to grow. She could appreciate a good showman, at the very least. Still, she hesitated for a moment.
That undeniable sort of apprehension creeped in on her. After packing up and fleeing the nest much to her mother’s dismay — she’d had a fill of… of risk-taking. And if she’d learned anything from that, risk meant fall-out and marines, it seemed, were an inherently risky bunch.
And, unfortunately, not risk in the way of action shots and front-page news, at least not on this side of the ocean.
But she could hear Margie and Lois and the girls at the office all egging her on, even if one was currently being serenaded and the other was dancing and the last of the list likely scattered to the winds with husbands and boyfriends and whomever they chose to spend their Friday nights with.
“It’s Vicki.” A pause, she stared at the cigarette before looking back at him.
“Well then sorry for forgettin’ a present, Vicki.” He put out the cigarettes on the brick, letting the butt fall with that grin still playing on his lips. Like a kid poking a bear. Or rather, a kid poking a sedated bear, maybe.
She bit the bullet.
“Could always make it up to me. Since your friend stole my escort and I’m not going back in there with this newfound information.” That caught his attention, he raised a brow.
“Well the guilt’s just eatin’ me alive over here, y’know.” She snorted again and rolled her eyes.
“There’s a bakery, fifteen minutes from here. Got good coffee too. Buy me a coffee and all’s forgiven,” She pushed herself from the wall at that point, looking at him expectantly and without skipping a beat Bill did the same, offering her arm. “Wouldja look at that? Marine’s got manners. You might be winning me over.” She didn’t miss the way his grin grew impossibly wider, like she’d just given him a gold star, or the way he rolled his eyes at the remark. She took his arm, and started a half-walk half-drag down the streets.
Bill was funny — and observant. He’d lean down, mutter something in her ear and vaguely gesture to indicate where to look and she’d end up snickering and swatting his arm. It seemed that he could find some quick-witted remark in everything they saw. Vicki could offer him tidbits: where to get a good meal, the shortcuts to cut through, which bars the RACMPs liked to frequent on their days off.
She saw a lot through her viewfinder. What good was seeing things if she couldn’t share them? Even if her note resulted in him telling a story about a handful of marines getting into a brawl at a bar.
“But not you, right? Such a fine upstanding marine wouldn’t dream of it.” And he ran his hand across his own cheek in a caress, turning this way and that to show off the lack of bruises or other signs of a fight.
“Never me. Wouldn’t dream of it.” In a way that was so drawn-out and dry that she knew he meant quite the opposite, and she could appreciate his roundabout honesty.
“Lois was doing a touristy article on small businesses on this side of the city. Needed me to come take pictures of the place, the owner and all that.” She explained as he opened the glass door for her, and they stepped inside. Then Vicki turned, made a sweeping gesture for him to step towards the counter. “Tell them Vicki’s regular. Feel free to get yourself something too.” She gave him a wink at his playfully drawn out ‘yes ma’am’ — and made her own way to the display case to peruse.
“Quite the present you’re unwrappin’ there, Vee,” she looked up at one of the cashiers, Bette, who was eyeing Bill up and down as he spoke to the other man on shift like he was a steak dinner. “Who knew you had it in ya? Think I can get a turn next?” Vicki rolled her eyes, choosing not to entertain her antics this time around. “The usual, I take it?”
“And a slice of that chocolate cake, too.”
“Oh she’s really feeling adventurous,” Bette giggled as she started to pack away a dozen macarons in a pretty pink box, and then a large cake slice in another. Vicki immediately went to fish for her wallet, but the blond held up her hand. “On the house. Happy Birthday, never say I didn’t do anything for ya, and if you don’t take him upstairs it’s double next time.”
“I miss when you were smaller and too shy to speak to me.” Vicki lamented with a faux sigh, and Bette giggled.
“And I miss when you lived a little more.” Vicki took the two boxes, found her usual table by the window and sat down. Shortly after Bill came back, with two cups and she gestured to the seat across from her.
“All is forgiven then?” He asked with a grin, before noticing the bigger box in between them. “D'aww you shouldn’t have.”
“Sit and entertain me for a while then yeah, all is forgiven.” She gave him a more contained smile, taking her own coffee cup and eyeing it for a moment before cracking open the box of macarons and plucking one of the pistachio ones from the box to pop into her mouth. She watched as he reached for the chocolate one, wordless for a moment as he ate it with a boyish grin.
She wondered what the fallout of this would be — four years she’d lived in Melbourne, with this private tradition of eating and people watching once a year after the girls brought her out for celebrations. Why she decided to break this tradition with a marine she knew so little about, she had no explanation for. Maybe it was just a way to avoid calling her mother. A temporary distraction.
Bill looked out the window, pointed at another man in dress uniform stumbling around, and his shoulders shook in suppressed laughter at the sight . It was enough to make her snicker a little.
A damn good distraction, if any.
It was his turn to ask the questions now, coupled with wise-crack remarks and the occasional grin that oozed ‘you know you wanna laugh.’ Sometimes, she’d roll her eyes in spite of the corner of her lip twitching, or hide the grin behind her coffee cup.
“Anyone tell you you’ve got a smart mouth, Bill Smith?”
“You and the entire first marines, Vicki No-Last-Name.”
“Well then that just means it holds merit, now doesn’t it?” She watched as he went to grab another macaron from the box, and she found herself reaching for the camera around her neck.
If they let her go overseas, take pictures of the war unfolding, there probably wouldn’t be many shots like this. Of men in states of content in their dress uniforms, with pretty coffee cups and clean faces and troublemaking grins. But she still wanted to see it, to get a photo that would end up on the front page of The Age and show everyone what it was like out there. If the editor was willing to take a chance on her and feed into it a little bit.
In for a Penny, she tried to rationalize, and she didn’t hesitate to snap the photo as Bill eyed her in a moment of confusion.
“What’s that for?” He asked, raising a brow. Vicki shrugged simply.
“Me. What good’s a birthday if I’ve got nothing to remember it,” she sipped her coffee, and with another contained smile, she added, “And it’s… Graves. Vicki Graves.”

JUST HOLDING HER LIKE THAT, MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE TURNING BACK
— ex!ellie williams × reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's been 150 days since your last conversation with Ellie, which was an argument, unfortunately. none of you were pleased by the result of it, yet you two still decided to not talk, ignoring when your friends asked you about what happened or if you guys still have a connection with each other. you both were at fault.
And just like teenagers, you both would eye each other when you see each other in the club or anywhere honestly. luck wasn't at any of your sides, maybe because both of you were scardy cats that would die if you chatted with your ex that you still love? maybe.
Moral of the story: both of you became strangers, trying to forget your significant other's name each time you heard their name be called, your body letting out an electric shock each time your shoulders touched each other.
Ellie's friend, Dina knew damn well what was going on, and she was not surprised by so. since when you guys were friends – before confessing your love to each other – you both did the same thing. blushing when you would get close to each other like some teenagers, staying quiet when you sit next to each other. even though you both were pleading for each other's love, your eyes would say it all. As they say, eyes are the window of the soul, and it was indeed. but Dani knew she had to stop this period drama play of yours.
So she came up with a plan that would work on the dumbest couple in the whole world – aka you and Ellie if that's not visible – but needed others' help so she called Abby and Jesse.
Tumblr media
SATURDAY, 23:08 PM
— Jesse: why are we doing this again?...
— Dina: to stop them from looking like sad puppies when they see each other
— Jesse: damn right lol
— Abby: so what are we going to do?
— Dina: okay so we will invite them to our party but separately, so they don't know that the other is coming.
— Jesse: okay...
— Abby: mhm
— Dina: and you both know that Ellie has a low tolerance for alcohol
— Abby: so she gets drunk and confesses to y/n? bet.
— Jesse: tbh, I feel like we will regret this...
— Dina: Shut up jesse, come in 30 minutes.
Dina called you, inviting you to the party as the plan says, and you agreed to a party freak like yourself. Dani nodded to the others and set up the living room with LED lights and party decorations, sipping on their fresh drinks when they were done as a prize for their hard work.
"Imagine if this doesn't work," Jesse spoke to himself, "I would die cause I have a test in like two days."
Both Abby and Dina glared at him like two eagles looking for their meal of the day which shut Jesse up. "as if you get good grades in 'em or study" abby replied to him before rolling her eyes and opening her phone, calling ellie with Jesse's stunned expression in the background.
When you arrived to dina's apartment, abby was done with inviting ellie with force because ellie said she didnt feel good a.k.a felt depressed after the break up that was five months ago, i mean come on ellie is sad cause she lost her ultimate sweetheart, her sweet soulmate.
You parted with all three like there was no tomorrow, all of you hugging with your arms on your shoulders while jumping around with your glasses in hand. dani and abby looked at each other, finding it weird that abby didn't come till now and it was already 20 minutes after ending the call. jesse couldn't even care, he was having the time of his life dancing with you and drinking shots of vodka, letting the burning effect of the alcohol burn down his throat.
"Where is ellie?" dina whispered to abby while pretending to dance, "didn't you call her like 20 minutes ago?"
Abby looked down at her phone and nodded, "yes, she said she will come after 10 minutes."
Dina groaned and took a shot before taking her phone and calling ellie. ellie answered quickly, pretending to cough and making the excuse that she's sick, letting dina pull out plan B.
"Don't you want to get back with your darling sweetheart?" she whispered angrily to the phone, forcing a smile and raising her glass when you smile to her. ellie then all of a sudden ellie was no longer sick, "wait, what? you have her with you? oh my god, thank you, thank you."
"Just come fucking here before she passes out from all the drinks shes taking–" she hung up and ellie jumped off her bed like super mario, putting on the sexiest silk black blouse on herself, was it because she was going to re-marry you today? yes, actually, she daydreamed of being your husband with the confidence of a greek god.
As you went to the bathroom, you heard loud banging that you later on ignored when Dina opened the door. you fix your lipstick, apply another coat on your lips before adding lip balm on for a little glossy look, looking at your face for a last time before opening the door and walking back to the living room, the loud music muffling the sounds of the chatter and laughter as you tilted your head to the side and took another glass that was on the kitchen's pantry with the other snacks, noticing a hand take the last glass right in front of you, trapping you on the side of the pantry. turning around you saw Ellie with that black blouse that was perfect with her biceps and her skin color, looking at her with widened expressions, both of you keeping eye contact for a moment before you walked away with the glass in hand.
Ellie turned around, her eyes following your figure, watching the way your jeans skirt moved on your hips with each step you took and the tight crop top with graphics on it, showing your torso and body to her, causing Ellie's mouth to water for a second. remembering she has to act sexy and cool to attract you back, she put down the glass and took a shot of vodka that was soon mixed with other rough heavy alcohol drink.
She watched you in the corner of everywhere, admiring your beauty that was in its most divine shapes; looking like a painting that was waiting for her to start painting to complete it, and she does admit you both complete each other and that's what she loved about you. she didn't have to work hard for anything cause she knew you were worth all her time, she was willing to be the mark to your Cleopatra with every fiber in her body.
She held her chuckle and smile when she watched you almost trip on the couch's leg, seems like the alcohol was working indeed. and her clumsy little sweetheart just keeping on tripping over and over again before letting out a tiny burp, she knew it was her show time. So she walked to you with her hands in her pants, "hey, you good, babe?" she whispered against your ear, causing you to flinch and look back at her, your eyes closing and opening lazily.
"Yeah, you are not, are you? come, should we go to the guest room?" she took your hand with her arm around your waist, her hand grasping your waist with slight grip. her braincells laughing and giggling at being able to feel you again. "come, let's go."
She walked you to the guest room that was away from everyone, chuckling to herself as she saw you with your gaze still on her looking like a total deer in the headlights. "stop looking at me like that, babe." she tilting her head to the side as she slide you into her other arm to close the door behind her.
"Woah–" you replied to her with your lips curled into an 'O' shape, your eyes turning into hearts as you stared at the two unbottoned buttons that gave you the view of her fair skin, making your cheeks redden. ellie hummed and looked at where you stared at her before letting out a laughter and looking back at you, her eyes narrowed into a curve with her lips, her smirk causing you to let out random babbles.
"Uh-huh, baby?" ellie played along as she placed the back of her hand against the side of your cheek, screaming internally as she felt the warmth of your soft cheeks that were caused by the alcohol. "u–...uh-huh" you shuttered as you nodded with nothing but pure emptiness in your head.
"You're so fucking cute, god." she groaned as she leaned in, taking your lips against yours, savoring every second of it. her hands cupping your face to the back of your ears – with ellie deepening the kiss – her tongue sliding against your parted lips, tasting your cherry lip balm causing her to groan once more. leaning back to let you get your breath, your face flushed with your lipstick smudged, turning on ellie even more.
You whimper softly while opening your eyes lazily, leaning your head closer to her face, and putting your palm on her collarbone, tip-toeing your way to the top to take another kiss, whimpering once more as she backs away playfully. "Do you even know what you're doing right now?"
"Uh-huh..." you nodded before tip-toeing again to kiss her, causing her to lean back before your lips meet hers, "let me–" you pout as you try one again, only repeating the same loop over and over again until you got tired to the point you started tearing up. Head down and bottom lip forward into a sad pout. "No, baby. Don't cry, I'm sorry." Ellie quickly lifted you head see your face, wiping the tears away with her hand cupping your face to only see that it was all an act. "Are you actin–" you cut her off by kissing her but this time you were the one in lead, tip-toeing on her shoe as you pressed your body against her, one of your arms on the beginning of her back and the other on the back of her head. Letting out a soft gasp as she bites your bottom lip, pouting as the shining pain continues when she continues kissing you.
Your intimate moment speaking words as much as your actions did, ellie leaded you to the bed while not letting go of your lips as if she wanted to get a new record on kissing you for the longest time.
"Ellie–" you gasped once more, hands on her shoulders as you pulled away from the kiss for a little mini break, all of that kissing sobering you up. "You–...we shouldn't do this."
Ellie frowned and took your hand to her chest where the heart, "you love me still, don't you?" You nodded with a pout, "and I love you so that means nothing is wrong with it. Now come here–" she took your lips against hers before you pulled away again.
"But we broke up" you spoke as you gazed up at her, "okay and? It was a heated argument, baby. We both couldn't live without each other." You looked over at her eyes, the shine in them like the one when she confessed to you; real and true.
"Look, I'm sorry for raising my voice. I regretted it since then and didn't know how to make up for it, I'm really, really sorry. I loved you since the first day I saw you, and the same love for you is still with me, I love you with every energy to my soul." She confessed while keeping her tilted head beside yours, her hand on your jaw with the other on the other side of your hips, pinning you to the bed. You let out a soft whine of her name as you pouted, tears in your eyes as you kissed her once again but this time it was heated and full of regret and hope for the upcoming, ellie let out a groan and leaned closer, cupping your throat with one hand, her thumb pressing gently on it.
"You don't know how much I missed you, missed this." She murmured against your lips before continuing to kiss you, parting your lips with her tongue which caused you to let out a soft moan as you lay down on the bed with ellie on top, following you.
As the situation got more heated, Jesse walked past the room to go to the bathroom since abby was in the other one and heard muffled moans and gasps, his face reddened as soon as he knew what you and ellie are doing. Dina followed him to ask him about what music to play next and heard the noises too, her expression freezing as she looked at the door.
"I told you we will soon regret this..." Jesse whispered to her while pressing his lips together into a straight line. "L-let's just...uhm go." Dina's voice softly appeared since the next song came up, both her and Jesse walked back to the living room, their faces traumatized as if they were kids who noticed their parents have sex. Abby came out of the bathroom and stood infront of them.
"Is everything okay?" She asked while taking a glass and taking a sip.
"N-no, no. Nothing's okay– I mean everything is okay." Jesse mumbled while staring at the floor like an insane person in the asylum.
"Why do you guys look like that then?–" she asked while raising a brow, confused. God replying to her by himself as soon as she says that. The music lowered down by siri with a combination of muffled moans that were now louder and bed-creaking noises. "Oh." She shut her mouth so quick, "well atleast they are together right and having fun?" She tried to comfort their brains that was traumatized in a second.
"Yeah..." both of dina and Jesse replied back.

Real or Not Real?
Miguel O’Hara x Reader
Plot: You need a plus one for a wedding. Who better than your boss and perhaps the most hated person on your list.
Genre: PG-13, Enemies to Lovers (I would like to think so😬)
A/N: I’m on a roll. Also, I always wanted to do this trope! This is longer than usual. Reblogs and feedback appreciated!💜
Tumblr media
“Shit!” Your phone bounces off the bed, landing inches away from another expensive repair.
“What’s wrong?” Jessica Drew looks up from the self help book that she was currently engaged in.
“An old classmate. I totally forgot about the wedding!” You groan, feet becoming more fidgety by the second.
“Right… and would you care to explain why you look like one of Norman Osborn’s pumpkins?” Your best friend looks at you cautiously, as if like you were a volcano waiting to explode any second.
“Well, she used to be great with everyone in school. Can’t say the same about myself.” You winced internally at the memories about your youth. “You know how it is. Everyone is either rich, successful or in love once they leave school.”
“Or maybe all three.” Jessica adds helpfully much to your chagrin.
“Thanks, Jess.” You refrain from rolling your eyes. “Anyways, the chat group got reignited and some genius started asking about ‘the girl who everyone always see but doesn’t really know’ and before I know it, everyone starts pestering me about how I’m doing!” You throw your hands dramatically in the air and Jessica can’t help but to look amused. “So?”
“So, I kinda told them that I have a reallyhotboyfriend.” The last few words are mashed into one big mess but still clear enough for Jessica to pick up. “You what now?”
Smelling the judgement from a mile away, you hang your head in defeat. “I know! I’m an idiot! I couldn’t help myself okay? This is what happens when you attend a private all girls’ school. You stand out for being weird and suddenly The Plastics start making your entire school life hell.”
“The Plastics?”
“It’s a movie reference.”
“Why am I not surprised.” Jessica chuckles. “So what now girl? How’s damage control going?”
“Terrible.” You splat face first into the pillow. “I was thinking of getting help from the guys but…” You hold up four fingers, ticking them off one by one. “Pavitr can’t pretend, Hobie’ too unpredictable, Miles is too young and Peter’s married with a child - a fact I can’t ignore even if this is fake.”
Jessica looks at your closed fingers, tapping her chin thoughtfully. If being friends with her taught you anything, this wasn’t a good sign.
“There is one more option. I think he would fit your description of a really hot boyfriend.” She deliberately gives you a meaningful look that makes you leap off the bed, throwing her an accusing look.
“Actually, I think I’m going to ask Gwen. Do you know where I can find her?”
“Long gone. She went to visit Captain Stacey.” Jessica quips. “Come on. He’s a good option. Besides, this is a great opportunity to know him better!”
“I rather tangle with the loch-ness monster instead.” You mumble, thinking about your very first encounter with the man of the hour - Miguel O’Hara. The two of you were a good representation of day and night.
While you were bright and upbeat, the leader of the Spider Society probably didn’t have the word ‘joy’ in his dictionary. As you attempted to introduce yourself to him at your first meeting, he had simply brushed you aside.
“Miguel isn’t that bad once you get to know him.”
“Very funny, Jess. You should be comedian of the year. Did you forget how he yelled at me when I pushed him out of the way from Kingpin’s gangbangers?”
Jessica opens her mouth slightly, only to shut it soon after. You frown, turning your back to see whatever she was staring at behind you. How you wished you hadn’t. Oh, if only the ground could swallow you whole as Miguel himself stands at the door, staring at you with an unreadable expression.
“What- how long have you been here for?” You struggle to form that one sentence. “Jess…” You start accusingly.
Jessica shrugs, taking Miguel’s presence as a sign to leave. “I’ll leave you two to it!” She gives you a wink that results in your mouth hanging agape. Miguel closes the door and you quickly attempt to compose yourself.
“I’ll do it.”
“Do what?”
Miguel raises a brow. “Be your date.” He says it all too nonchalantly, as if choosing at empanada at the supermarket. You blink, pinching yourself out of his sight. The situation was very real. He stands in front of you, waiting.
“What do you want from me?” You blurt out. “You want something in return.” You clarify once more, trying to make sense of things.
The end of Miguel’s lips turn upwards slightly, and you’re worried that the sudden acceleration of your heart would unable to support your body to stand upright.
“I just want to apologize for my behavior and I happened to overhear your conversation.” He responds and you make a mental note to never trust Jessica again for not warning you about his presence.
“Am I in some kind of alternate dimension?” You laugh, trying to defuse the awkwardness. Miguel remains impassive, eyes staring intently into yours.
“What’s it going to be? You can take me or you can look like a liar to everyone. It’s your choice.”
You hate to say it, but he’s right.
***
“You came!” Your old friend comes barreling into you, giving you a big hug.
“Lils! You look amazing!” You gushed, returning the hug. “Congratulations. What a beautiful place.” You refer to the beachside wedding that she insisted on.
“Thanks! Jeju Island was always on my bucket list. I’m so glad I get to share this memory with all of you!” She gushes, turning to your plus one. “I mean, I finally get to see who has stolen your heart!” She extends a hand. “And who may you be?”
“Miguel O’Hara.” He extends his own hand for a shake. “Congratulations.”
“No need for the formalities!” Lilly smiles brightly. “What I do want to know is how you two got together! You can be away from her for a little can’t you?”
Before the two of you can even say anything, you find yourself being pulled away by Lilly while the groom effortlessly picks up the conversation with Miguel. She brings you aside, within the sight of the two men.
“Tell me everything!” She pounces on you like a tiger, demanding to know your first encounter. You give what you hope was a easy smile. “We’re… colleagues.” You don’t think exposing both your superhero personas would do well, not especially when you got here by inter dimensional traveling.
Your friend seems to be satisfied by this as she squeals. She hits your shoulder a little too aggressively, wanting more. You sigh, hoping that Miguel wasn’t being interrogated this intensively on his end.
“We just had the same interests and kind of clicked.” You prayed that the questioning would stop soon. “Everything was just a blur after.”
Lilly nods, throughly invested in your fake love story. She’s about to ask another question when a sharp voice pierced through the air, causing you to be rooted to the ground. You really wanted to run away at that moment.
“What is this that I’m hearing? You’re actually seeing someone?” The clack of heels come to a stop and you find yourself facing your tormentor.
“It’s nice to see you too, Becca.” You grit through your teeth. The woman remains oblivious to your discomfort as she addresses the two others trailing behind her. “I wonder who’s the lucky man nice enough to pick her up!”
“That’s enough, I invite you to my wedding out of our friendship but this doesn’t give you the right to insult her.” Lilly shoots back, keeping her eyes trained on your curled fists.
“It’s alright, Lils.” You try to remain calm. “Let’s go. I’ll tell you everything later.” You take the lead to escort her back when Becca’s comment brings you to a halt.
“I bet he isn’t even real!”
Although she was right, you couldn’t help but to turn around, wanting to give Becca and her posse a piece of your mind. Something that you should have done a very long time ago.
“Oh, I’m very real alright.”
You see Miguel walking up towards the trio. Was it just you or did Miguel look… angry?
He composes himself, giving a charming grin to the trio who looked like they were going to start falling at his feet any moment.
“Miguel O’Hara. She has told me a lot about you three.”
“Oh, she has?” Becca twirls the edge of her skirt nervously and you don’t know where Miguel is going with this.
“Sure. She’s told me all about how you three dimwits made her entire life hell. Honestly? I don’t even know how that happened when she’s a hundred times classier with more substance than you plastics claim to have.” Miguel catches your eye and gives a quick wink.
“Excuse me?” Becca stutters. “Oh, I get it. She must have paid you to say that!”
Miguel walks over and gently loops an arm over your shoulders. By now, the conversation seemed to have attracted every guest who were lining up at the buffet table.
“Nope. But you know what she is? She is the most courageous and selfless person who wouldn’t hesitate to help others. I don’t think you three would even come close to understanding what that means.”
Miguel has done it. He’s left them speechless and every guest is know giving disapproving looks to the trio who can only storm away in embarrassment.
“I think I’m not that hungry yet. How about we take a walk?”
You realize that Miguel is asking you, so you nod numbly and find yourself being led out of the venue. You see Lilly standing at the entrance greeting guests.
Catching your eyes, she gives you a thumbs up and a mischievous grin, not bothered at all about the verbal altercation that was inadvertently caused by you. Amidst the chaos, one thought was clear in your mind.
Just what is going on?
***
The rainbow colored blocks providing as seats for families, friends and couples to take photos makes the sea look even clearer. Silence overtaking the two of you, you busy yourself with noticing how the jagged edges of the rocks are a wonderful addition to the waves crashing near the shore.
“What’s going on up there?”
Finally. You prepare yourself, stopping beside the statue. “I was just about to ask you the same thing O’Hara.” You take a brave step closer towards the hulking man and he briefly looks away before staring back at you. “Not that I’m ungrateful but that wasn’t like you.”
“Then, what am I supposed to be?”
You paused. “Well… you’re supposed to be grumpy and grouchy and keeping me at arm’s length I guess?” You search for the right words as Miguel contains a chuckle seeing how flustered you were becoming by the second. “And you’re suddenly being nice to me? Hell would have to freeze over.”
Miguel closes the already small gap between the two of you and you suddenly feel hot at his gaze. He examines you for a while and you think he’s about to deliver another sharp retort.
“I did try. I tried to keep you away but you were too bright and cheerful for your own good.” Miguel gruffly tells you. “You were so much like her.”
You knew that he was referring to his past. His wife whom no one really dared to talk about. You finally understood. To him, you were a walking and living painful reminder.
“I’m sorry.” You breathed out. The air suddenly constricts in your lungs and you feel the need to get away. Anywhere but here. You turn around and find yourself being pulled into him. Miguel hugs you, and he hugs you tight.
“No, I’m the idiot. I punished you for seeing you as someone else.” He confesses. “I should have just seen you as… you. You were so bright and so brave, I almost lost it when you took the bullets from Kingpin. That’s when I knew my behavior had to stop. I wanted to tell you and I guess I saw this as the perfect opportunity.”
“Oh.” You don’t know how else to react to this sudden revelation.
“But I meant every word. About me apologizing for my past behavior.” Miguel continues. “And that. Earlier on.” He refers to his relentless counter attack on your tormentors. “I didn’t know that you had to go through all that.”
“Hey, we all go through things right? Kind of a ticket to join the spider society.” You try to lighten things up. “Besides, it’s nothing big.”
Miguel pries you away gently, a slight frown on his face. “Don’t minimize your struggles. You are a hundred times stronger than those three combined. After all, that’s what made you stood out to me in the first place.”
Your heart swells at his statement. As you hear the waves crashing, it felt as if like it gave you a sense of newfound confidence as well. It was all or nothing now. You’re inches away from Miguel, his rosy cheeks prominent from the strong breeze that the coastal city offered. “I just have one more question.”
Miguel cocks his head to the side, curious. He doesn’t interrupt, giving permission for you to go ahead.
“You love me. Real or not real?”
He takes you by the waist, lips on yours. It could be minutes or hours before he lets go, leaving you in a daze. But the movement of his lips are as clear as day. One that would be forever etched in your memory.
“Real.”

kiss me thru the phone

summary: you leave javi hanging when you go out with a friend, so he gives you "payback"... (he tries but at the end of the day, javi is a lover)

Your voice is fuzzy through the receiver held between Javi's shoulder and his ear, but he doesn't need to understand a word you're saying — not when his hand, slick with his own saliva, is around his cock and he's pretending it's your mouth instead.
"Can't wait 'til you're back," he says. "Been dying to feel you. Always so tight for me, and so wet too."
You're a complete mess, reduced to nothing but, "uh-huh, yeah, oh! oh, Javi!"
It's a good thing you're not on speaker phone. Wouldn't want to wake the neighbors, not again, not when you're a thousand miles away and Javi doesn't even get the pleasure of feeling you tightening around him when you scream his name.
As usual, he staves off his own pleasure until your first orgasm subsides. It's a routine, one that never gets old. You tell him how much you want his cock, how badly you want to hear him cum, how you wish you were there to see it. You beg for it like you'll die without it, with such conviction that sometimes Javi isn't sure if it's just for his sake anymore. You should be basking in the afterglow of your own bliss, but god, your voice holds the same desperation that his does.
But this time it's different. "Oh shit!" you say — and Javi can tell by your tone that it's not "oh, shit, I'm gonna cum again", but rather "oh, shit, I knocked a glass off the bedside table". That's not exactly what happened on your end, but the situation holds the same gravity in your mind — inconvenient but not disastrous.
"I'll be right there, just gimme one sec!" you say to someone other than Javi.
Before he can ask you what the fuck is going on, you say, hurried, "Sorry, Javi, I completely forgot that Jess and I have plans tonight."
That sounds familiar, he thinks, but he's never been good at keeping up with your schedule.
"Does that mean you're—" about to hang up? to leave me hanging?
"I'll call back later, baby, promise."
He accepts it. He knows how hard it's been for you to adjust to the change of living in a new city, especially when you're only going to be there for a few months, and he's glad you've become close with your coworker. You've made plans to go on a double date with this friend and her boyfriend if they ever make it down to Texas.
He'll get over it quickly, but in the immediate aftermath, Javi's pissed. It’s not just that you’ve blue-balled him, not just that it aches and he can’t get off without you talking him through it - a fact that already frustrates him to no end - the thing that really gets to him is how un-fucking-fair it is. You got to cum and he didn’t, you got yours and he’s stuck with a raging hard-on, knowing that leaving you a voicemail to complain would make him sound awfully childish, and Javi is a grown-ass man, not a child.
When you don't call — at first, he's worried. What if something happened? He sits by the phone, and waits anxiously, considers calling the cops and sending out a search party, even thinks about flying out to another state to go and find you himself. He realizes a lot of this is leftover worries from another time in a far away country, and you are most likely completely safe (and he’d look like a fucking lunatic if he flipped out and assumed you were in grave danger).
The next morning, when he gets a phone call from you, assuring him that you’re completely fine and you just passed out on the couch immediately upon arriving home, he’s relieved (for about five minutes), but when you hang up, he’s pissed again. He was worried sick about you, and he still didn’t get to cum.
But he pretends all is well until you arrive back home a week later.
"Baby, I've missed you so much!" You tell him for the millionth time since he picked you up at the airport, showering him with cherry lip-gloss-flavored kisses.
He returns your affection, carries your bags to the bedroom, and then waits. It's like clockwork. You arrive home after a long week of work, you take off your office attire, and you turn to Javi, who sits at the foot of the bed watching you, gazing fondly upon you.
"I want you," you say, eyes filled with lust.
"Then, come here."
The smirk on his face holds more than you know when you — half-undressed — climb into Javi's lap and kiss him.
He keeps up the routine for a bit, plays by the rules, lets you help him undress, makes out with you like he'll die if he stops. It's a good thing you're not wearing the business casual pantsuit, the kitten heels, the pencil skirt, or the fucking stockings, because he wouldn't be able to resist. He's torn up too many pairs of stockings at this point.
When his cock springs free from his underwear, he turns the tables. You, unaware of this new game you're playing, try to nudge it towards your entrance with a shimmy of your hips.
"Not yet," he says. "Be patient."
He drags the head along your folds, slick with arousal, teasing you with every stroke at a pace that can only be described as agonizing.
"Javi, please," you beg, "I need you inside me."
"Why? Can't cum like this?" he taunts.
"No, I can't."
"Oh, pobrecita, you're just gonna have to wait a little longer then."
"What? Why? Javi, stop teasing me."
"I'm not teasing you," he says, then his eyes flit to yours. "I'm punishing you."
"For what? I haven't done anything—"
"Remember when you went out with Jess?" His tone is firm and accusing, like you've done something illegal.
"Yeah?"
"What were you supposed to do when you got home?"
"…Call you."
"And did you?"
"No, but—"
"No, you didn't. I waited for you. Now you're going to wait."
He's not only the arresting officer, but also, the judge, the jury, and the executioner.
"No, no, no, Javi, this is so unfair."
"What's so unfair?"
He takes away all stimulation from your lower body and begins to play with your tits instead.
"What you're doing right now." Your voice is whiny and pathetic. And adorable, but Javi won't tell you that just yet.
"I'm just kissing you." He presses one to each nipple. It makes you shiver. "Just giving you some love."
It's not untrue. He does love you.
"I need you to give me some dick."
Javi looks at you like you've just thrown hot soup in his face. Shock turns to irritation. His hand returns between your thighs, but you'd be stupid to think he was going to please you. Slap. Right across your glistening slit.
You whimper in pain (and pleasure, though you'd be reluctant to admit that). Regardless, your skin hungers for his touch, so you buck your hips towards him.
"Oh? You want another one?"
The second slap stings. Yet, you find yourself seeking more. More until your lips are puffy with need. More until you're teary-eyed.
His caring demeanor that never left, only hid below the surface, shows itself again. "You okay?" he whispers, pressing a kiss to your temple.
"Yeah," you say, then more quietly, embarrassed that you can't come up with something less crude in the face of Javi's momentary sweetness, "I just need you to fuck me."
"You're crying over my cock and it's not even in you yet?"
He wants to fuck you, but he has to be a little mean. He could easily give in, but where’s the justice in that? More importantly, where’s the fun in that?
"Oh, pobrecita," he calls you again, unsympathetically, shaking his head like he's telling off a misbehaving child.
"Please, Javi," you try again, putting on your best begging face.
"Alright, fine. You can have my dick if you really want it that badly."
"Yes, yes, I do—"
"—But not in your pussy," he says, expecting disappointment to wash over your face.
But before he can order you to open up, you sit up, and ask, with hope in your eyes, "in my mouth?"
The answer is yes, and you know it, so you sit back on your knees and open your mouth.
The joy, the near satisfaction in your eyes makes his cock twitch. There's no way to punish you when you crave everything that is Javi.
He'd forgotten how heavenly your mouth feels around him, and it's harder to hold off his orgasm than he expected it to be. When he cums, it's going to be inside you, he has to remind himself.
In one swift motion, he pulls out of your mouth, lies you back on the bed and presses his lips to yours. Sincerity breaks through him once more and he kisses you like the devoted lover he was made to be.
"How do you want me?" he asks, figuring you've waited long enough. You've both waited long enough.
"However you want."
One hand reaches between you to position himself at your entrance. "I wanna see your pretty face, hermosa."
He bottoms out in a single thrust that makes your back arch off the mattress. You lazily wrap your legs around his hips, keeping him inside you, awaiting a second round of "punishment". But there isn't one, not yet.
He kisses you until you feel dizzy and out of breath and then he settles for kissing your jaw and chin, needy, desperate.
The thing is: Javi's not even chasing his orgasm anymore, he's trying to make up for lost time by holding you as close to him as he can. He leaves bite marks to remind you who you belong to (and, in turn, who belongs to you). You leave scratches down his back because you're gripping him in every way you can as you approach your peak.
But he stops, entirely, when he realizes you're about to cum.
"Gonna cum without asking?"
"I-I'm sorry."
"You have bigger things to be sorry for, hermosa."
"I'm sorry I didn't call, Javi," you say, "I really, really am."
"I know you are, and that's why I'm gonna let you cum tonight. But I get to cum first."
You let out a weak plea, "Cum inside me, Javi, please."
"Yeah? You want it inside?" He considers pulling out to spite you, but he loves you too goddamn much to do something so cruel.
He's been pent up for over a week, so when his orgasm takes over, it's intense. He lets his head hang, his forehead brushing against the mattress, as he fills you to the brim. He nearly whimpers as he cums and the sound pushes you over the edge. You don't even have time to ask for permission, but Javi is too far gone to care.
Still out of breath, you say, "if this is what happens when I don't call you, I'm never calling you again."
In response, Javi reaches between your thighs and slaps your pussy one last time.
"Ow! What the fuck was that for?" you say, but in the look you give him, he can see the translation: "Round two?"

a/n : inspired by that one scene from 'before sunrise' where celine and jesse pretend to call their friends and tell them about each other :)) also i know i'm late to valentines but it's still february sooooo
Tumblr media
if you told yourself a few days ago that you'd be spending valentines day with peter parker, you would laugh at the thought of it.
but right now you couldn't laugh at anything but peter's stupidly unfunny jokes and his cheesy, dry, pickup lines.
you couldn't imagine what valentines would be like with peter parker, but you don't have to. you're experiencing it right now.
he had asked you in a way you've only seen in rom-coms from the 90s. he knocked on your door with a ridiculously large bouquet of flowers, a heart shaped box full of chocolate, and a nervous nerdy smile.
and you accepted it obviously. peter's nice. really nice. out of all the boys in your class, he's a gentleman compared to them.
he's got those big brown doe eyes that make you blush if you make eye contact. that weirdly fluffy hair, that makes you wonder what his hair care routine is like sometimes. the sweetest smile you could ever imagine. and a heart bigger than a size of a lake.
and my gosh, you love him.
he made a reservation at this restaurant. one that you've passed by many times but never seem to stop by. you've always thought it was too fancy for a normal hangout with friends or family, it was always crowded with couples too. it always had a jazz band playing, roses on each table, and you could smell the scent of love from outside.
it was everything you've ever dreamed of. you didn't want it to end but unfortunately, the day got darker and the sun began to set.
"i really enjoyed today, peter." you smile.
"yeah of course. i really enjoyed today too." he replied, there was still a splotch of spaghetti sauce near his mouth.
"unfortunate that the hours went by so quickly, i think i have to go home soon." you pout, peter was still smiling, that spaghetti splotch is not going anywhere.
"or maybe we could still talk, for a bit." he paused for a second before making a hand gesture resembling a phone.
"ring, ring, ring!" he mimicked. you furrow your brows.
"pick it up." he stays smiley.
"okay, beep." you laugh, following his gestures.
peter mouths a 'thank you' before continuing, "oh yeah uh, harry? harry are you there?" he asks.
you knew harry, he's peter's closest friend. they're like two peas in a pod and you could never separate them, not even when harry moved away for years.
you join in his little joke. "uh yeah dude, this is harry. dude." you try to mimic his voice.
"yeah, hey harry! do you remember that girl i was gonna ask out for valentines? the really pretty girl from bio class?" his face became pink.
"oh yeah! the really pretty girl. i know her."
"yeah so, she's with me right now and i am just so happy."
"really? how happy?"
"extremely. she's so fun to talk to. she's so incredibly wonderful and i cannot put it into words how beautiful she is. really harry, you were right. she's an angel."
you smile. "really what else? how did the date go?" your voice rasps, clearly you couldn't really perfect the accent harry has. but peter seemed to like it.
"amazing. the food was great, this restaurant is good, i uh- got the reservation in time so everything has been going perfectly.
she's such a ray of sunshine. i can't stop stealing a glance every time, harry. i dunno what's about it, she's just so- perfect."
peter continues. he's doing it on purpose. well, not really, he was going to call harry and say all of those things. but he thinks it's better to tell you face to face. besides, he loves seeing you smile.
you try your best to blurt out a reply without stuttering. "that's um, that's amazing, dude. i bet she feels the same way about you." you could feel the butterflies in your stomach.
"you really think so?" peter tilts his head.
"i'm sure."
"well, thanks harry. i'll see you later, bye bye." he hangs up, mimicking a beep on the table.
you laugh.
"okay now it's your turn."
"my turn? oh, okay." you gesture your hand.
"dring, dring, dring!" you say, "ugh she's probably studying right now." you explain.
peter picks up, in a voice that will haunt you for years. "hey, girl! what is up!" peter laughs.
it took every cell in your body to not burst out laughing in front of everyone in that restaurant. "hi, gwen. is uh- is your voice okay?" you ask.
"better than ever!" — "oh, okay." you hold your laughter. "um, you know peter? peter parker from biology. the one with fluffy hair and pretty eyes?"
peter smiles, he blushes from his nose.
"yeah so, i'm on a date with him right now. and it feels like a dream. he's prettier up close. he styled his hair, yeah, it's pretty. and he's got spaghetti sauce smeared near his lips." you smile.
peter immediately fixes the splotch, finally.
"he's kind of tall. and he's kinda nerdy too. just my type." you cover your smile, "i like to feel his eyes on me when i look away." you continued.
peter smiles, "what a nice guy."
"he really is. as the date goes on i start to like him even more. i feel like i can really open up to him."
"really?"
"mhm. he got me flowers and some chocolate too. he's funny too, he's got a voice i can listen to for hours. he's like a shot of espresso, you know?"
peter couldn't hide his blush anymore. "a shot of espresso?"
"he makes me feel energized in a way, and he also makes my heart beat really fast." you laugh, "i think i can really fall in love with him."

Nat rambling about the entire plot of Pretty Perfect Lives for way too long because autism hyperfixation doesn’t stop for no one.
I came for Elizabeth Lail, left debating with my friend about what the fuck I just watched /pos. I was so deeply invested so here’s me just explaining the plot of the entire show:
It starts off with Tiffany and Tucker (imagine Tiffany and Tucker as Barbie and Ken cause that’s pretty much who they are, but as TikTok influencers instead of in Barbieland) recording videos for “the app” and then they’re like back alone in their home and they’re having relationship issues and Tiffany wants to talk about their relationship cause she feels like they’re growing distant BUT she’s recording them secretly so she can post it onto their account for content (which is supposed to be tiktok but they just call it The App probably because they’re not allowed to say TikTok LMFAOO)
And turns out the conversation they end up having is that Tucker thinks he might be into men too but doesn’t want to break up with Tiffany but then Tucker realized that she’s filming all of their emotional talk to show to their audience that they’re “authentic” and rightfully gets mad because Tiffany is using his internal conflicts as content online.
They then post a video about how they’re going to explore an open relationship but open only on Tucker’s side — she was still fully committed to just Tucker. And then they invite this guy Jesse over for a threesome and it was really awkward and Jesse is like oh the way I like to do things is watching the couple do it and i’ll join in when the time is right. and then Tiffany was just like. ohh yeah no i’m not here to participate. i’m just here to watch. and then it was like Jesse and Tucker undressing and Jesse choking him out with a belt while Tiffany was just like fujoing out from her cuck seat
and then Tiffany posted a video about how their “threesome” was and Tucker was like wtf babe you didn’t ask me about this before posting. this doesn’t feel like you respect my boundaries and Tiffany refuses to delete the video because it’s gotten them a lot of attention. and then they argue and then they break up and Tiffany has a panic attack while screaming for Tucker to not leave her alone (Elizabeth Lail’s performance is so so so so good here, her wailing was so heartbreaking) and then the scene changes.
Lights come up and it’s Tucker coming home and being like hey babeeeeeeee and ITS JESSE INSTEAD OF TIFFANY NOW. But it’s like the exact same situation — Jesse keeps wanting him to record videos with him for “the app” and wanting Tucker to quit his job so that they can do like sex work online instead. but Tucker is like woah um. maybe not. what if i want a job in the future. and then he’s like hey babe why don’t we spend some time together instead, off the internet and Jesse has like stopped paying attention and is just like scrolling through “the app”.
Tucker is like trying to sleep but can’t fall asleep and keeps checking his phone and watching videos that Tiffany posted and he’s like shit,,,, i regret breaking up with Tiffany. and he calls Tiffany like hey i wanna get some closure, why don’t you come over. and then Tiffany does in the next scene in the fuckinf hottest full black outfit. black tube or tank top, black jean jacket, black pants and sunglasses and she’s like yeah. i’ve been doing. fine.
and then they have like cuts in of like Tiffany making DAY 68 OF HAVING YOUR BOYFRIEND LEAVE YOU FOR THE GUY WE INVITED OVER FOR A THREESOME videos. the day 195 one was her crying and saying that she was apart of the “women whose boyfriends left them for a man” community but that thanks to neutragena, the redness isn’t as prominent on her face (link in the description /j)
and then Tucker was like i regret breaking up with you so bad i wish we can just go back to the way we were. and then Tiffany was like no, we can’t. we can’t just pretend none of this ever happened. and then storms off
AND THEN THE NEXT SCENE, Tiffany comes home like disheveled and Jesse (now they’re dating) is like babe are you okay?? you can’t just go missing for 2 whole days and say that you don’t wanna talk about it. and Tiffany has a bit of a breakdown and she’s like i miss when we were keeping our relationship hidden, but now everyone on the internet knows and everyone on the internet hates me and i cant take it anymore. We can’t talk this out, we have to break up because i can’t handle this relationship.
This ends with Tiffany screaming I JUST NEED TO BE ALONE and a glitch happens and the whole stage gets like covered in code and the lights start flashing and then the stage goes black.
THEN. Jesse appears on the side of the screen joining as an “interviewee” from the incident that happened in the IRS-P (internet reality simulation project) where a glitch happened in their simulation and that Jesse got out but Tiffany and Tucker was lost in the simulation. FUCKING PLOT TWIST, THIS IS ALL A SIMULATION.
And they were asking him questions and Jesse explained that he was honored at first that the company selected him, a small influencer, for their huge giant new project. He had just wanted to feel the rush of adrenaline of people finding him attractive and in the simulation he found Tiffany and Tucker. in every universe, he was always intertwined with Tiffany and Tucker and at first he enjoyed it but then it felt more and more like they were just using him.
and then he starts dissociating and he starts hearing the interviewer as Tucker and he starts screaming for Tucker and asking him where he is and the interviewer keeps trying to calm him down but he’s like screaming and having a breakdown because apparently he’s experienced this interview multiple times and he can’t escape (so this whole section might still be in the glitched simulation ??? or it’s a trauma reaction. unclear and likely up to audience interpretation) (Nic Ashe was incredible here, his acting was so gutwrenching)
And then eventually when he’s able to calm down, the interviewer is gone and he’s alone again and his light goes dark.
However, simultaneously to this, on the dark stage, Tiffany is in this nude suit and she’s just like. taking the stage apart and putting props all over the floor (I think the nude suits are a metaphor for them being stripped of theirselves or baring themselves to the audience/each other when Tucker comes on)
The lights come back on, Tiffany comes back on in her nude suit and she’s like confused about the home being a mess and then she collects like the 8 phones on the floor and she tries to use two to start a fire and fails. and then Tucker comes in in a nude suit too and he asks her what’s happening and she’s like idk i tried to start a fire but i don’t remember how to. and then tucker is like did you ever know how to start a fire ?? and then he tries — using two phones and successfully starts a fire.
and then Tiffany feels like super useless and then Tucker starts singing “their song” because the mood kinda stinks and then Tiffany is like ???? what the fuck dude. not the time. but then she ends up singing too (and good lord Elizabeth Lail can sing i’m gonna kill myself she’s so hot i’m gonna lose it i’m gonna lose it i’m gonna lose it i’m gonna lose jr she’s like really good at singing jrs reallt i’m actually gonna lose it holy shit.) and they have this whole moment in their nude suits where they like twirled around and sang their song.
and then they kinda go back to being emo and stuff and Tiffany is like i think the simulation glitched. do you think we’re gonna be stuck here forever? Tiffany is like the sky and the ocean have no horizon, that’s not normal. and Tucker is like huh. you’re right. and then Tiffany says she’s cold and and tucker tries to use the objects scattered across the floor to build them a fort (the tripods and a towel) and he asks tiffany if there’s anything else long to use to build the fort and she was like uhhhh there’s a ring light (i think them having the social media equipment instead of real items is a metaphor for them replacing everything truly authentic in their lives with their fake personalities online).
and then the conversation goes sour and Tucker is like i’m trying so hard because i’m worried that if i don’t try then none of us are going to be trying in this relationship. and this part was like really funny (not intentionally) because Tucker is just in this nude suit and he stands angrily away from Tiffany but because of the nude suit, he’s just double cheeked up in the corner. and here they actually genuinely have a true heart to heart talk now that it’s silent and not cluttered by their online lives. Tiffany reveals that she signed them up for the IRS-P because she wanted to see who else was out there that she might connect with better than Tucker because it’s always been him but she didn’t want to lose everything she had with him. She wasn’t content with their relationship but wasn’t ready to let go of them.
Tiffany’s character is so interesting because while she is very clearly in the wrong in the beginning of the show, she’s given more depth as a character— she’s putting on a front for most of the show but when she breaks down from everything going wrong, she admits that she doesn’t even like the sound of her own voice and that she’s made so much of her life about her online presence that she doesn’t even remember who she used to be and how to stop. She has a panic attack when her life starts kinda falling apart when Tucker leaves her but she’s also kinda selfish in that she stops seeing Tucker as his own person and just as an object to gain attention for their “perfect life”. She often shifts the blame onto Tucker when they’re arguing but when they’re in the glitched simulation (the nude suits)— she admits that she does that because she thinks she’s the problem but doesn’t know how to fix herself.
GOD I LOVE,,, ELIZABETH LAIL CHARACTERS. who needs drugs when you’ve got autism hyperfixation
Okay, and then tiffany is like fuck it. and then they both take off their nude suits (Halle-fucking-lujah by the fucking way. I felt like I was committing a crime seeing Elizabeth Lail that undressed) and jump into the “ocean” and they’re like having fun and the world glitches again and goes black.
and then the scene changes again and Jesse comes back onto stage in a suit and sits down and Tucker comes in and tries to makes a conversation and Jesse is like no i think i’m gonna go (i think this is a metaphor for jesse rejecting the simulation and chooses to not staying intertwined with Tiffany and Tucker, by proxy escaping the simulation) and Tiffany comes on in this cute blue dress and she and Tucker start flirting again.
their hair is both wet and they say that neither of them remember how they got there. and then THEIR SONG STARTS PLAYING AND THEY START DANCING WITH EACH OTHER TO THE SONG. and then it fades to black and credits
I think this is implying that Tiffany and Tucker never escape the simulation???? cause they’re very much still in the simulation in the last scene while Jesse chooses to leave.
No one is gonna be reading this whole thing but holy shit I really enjoyed that. I enjoyed the plot way more than I thought I would. More importantly, Elizabeth Lail was drop dead gorgeous 🙏 and I almost died on the spot.

The Confession 2 C.S.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fwb!Mean!Chris x Fwb!Fem!Reader
A/N: I tried something different :)
*Really long you have been warned.
we finally met up with the triplets at some outdoor shopping plaza to hang out and ever since having that conversation with Madi and confronting her about matt it kind of made me feel relieved a little because i have been best friends with madi for a while now we pretty much know almost everything about each other like i know how down bad madi is for Matt and how she literally is the bestest friend anyone can ask for so me feeling this way about someone that she is extremely close with feels wrong especially since he has no feelings for me what so ever and of course i could never tell madi this because it would force me to come between something that could literally mess everything up..
"hey you okay"
he asks jess interrupting her thoughts
"yeah why do you ask"
"you seem stressed out about something"
"no why would i be stressed i mean i tell you guys everything"
you state rather quickly
"okayy anyway should we spy on Matt and madi they have been acting extra weird lately"
"like in a good way or bad way"
"i dont know thats why we should find out"
"oh my god nick my mom is in town for fucks sake we dont need anything to go down while she is here lets just enjoy our time okay"
you huff out chuckling at your best friend
"what ever you say"
he replies walking off to catch up with madi and Matt as Chris catches up to jess places his arm around her over her shoulder as she slightly jumps at the sudden contact
"did i scare you"
he chuckles
"no you scare me never"
"okaayy well you like jumping ten feet says otherwise"
"shut up chris"
you state smacking him playfully in the stomach as he pretends to be hurt from that minor attack
"how are you doing"
you state looking at matt and madi walking rather quickly leaving behind nick and your mom
"oh im fine totally fine"
"you dont have to lie"
you state looking up at him
"im not i was being stupid yesterday madi and matt belong to together"
he replies making eye contact with you
"okay then"
you says quickly breaking eye contact with him getting nervous as you look up to see that matt and madi disappeared
"what the fuck where did they go"
"they'll be back eventually its madi and matt theyre probably just being weird"
"hey you two where do you guys want to eat dinner i didnt realize i have to head back to LA tonight and couldnt track down madi to let her know"
"umm its up to you since you are visiting where do you want eat"
you state subconsciously grabbing chris' hand seeing his arm is still around over your shoulder
"no seriously its up to you guys"
"we could just go to Mcdonalds"
"thats fine"
"oh and madi went to the bathroom"
"with matt"
she asks confused to why they would go together
"okay then we will just wait for them i guess i cant leave without saying goodbye"
"no of course not"
you state as nick finally makes eye contact with you and chris' hands joined together thinking:
"holy shit i am just now realizing it. Jess is totally crushing on chris! it make sense as to why she has been acting weird i mean she had been acting kind of weird since everything last night but i didnt realize it till now she's literally comfortably holding his hand right now and may not even fully realize it holy shit"
Tumblr media
"okay matt come on"
she giggles out as Matt slightly backs her into a wall proceeding to make out with her which they previously were doing
"what no one is going to catch us here"
he says looking around and leaning back in as she wraps her arms around his torso allowing him to kiss her again then pull away
"okay but jess' mom and jess are already suspicous so we cant be doing this right now while she is still in town"
she complains as he proceeds to kiss her neck lightly
"okay fine"
he sighs pulling away from her completely as her phone goes off
"her mom says she leaving tonight we have to go"
"okay but first"
he trails off pulling her in one more time into his lips
" what the fuck"
he exclaims as they both look towards him
"nick its not what it looks like"
"well it looked like you and my triplet brother were swapping saliva madi"
he complains
"okay so maybe"
she trails off
"are you two dating then"
"uhh yeah"
he trails on looking at madi
"dont tell chris or jess"
"oh im not saying anything how are you going to tell chris madi"
"he said he was fine with it and that he was joking'
trails off looking at her feet
"are you mad"
"what no madi youre my best friend im happy for you whatever you decide okay"
he says bringing her into a hug
"but for real jess and her mom is ready to go eat and pack her stuff up to leave"
"okay lets go then"
she states as matt grabs her hand walking back to the parking lot
we walk back to the parking lot and before we could fully make it into the parking lot i saw Jess literally fawning over chris Madi could see from a mile away and she didnt know how to feel to be honest
"no way"
"so you see it too its not just me"
"see what"
she states oblivious
"jess and chris"
"oh hm whatever"
"whatever you mean you dont feel any way about at all"
"i mean no its not-"
"oh my god there you guys are you ready to go"
"yeah uh is it okay if i ride with Matt"
"uh sure sweetie thats fine i think jess is riding with me i guess do you want me to ask her if she wants to join you"
"no i mean no its okay"
"i'll see you guys back at the house"
"yeah"
she replies softly as she walks back to matt's car
"wow youre totally uncomfortable about all of this arent you"
"what no nic shut up im sitting up front with matt"
she states abruptly walking to the van with matt following her
"hey are you-"
you trail off as madi walks over to the van climbing in the front seat with matt on the drivers side
"that was weird do want me to ride with you then since she claimed my spot next to matt"
he asks looking at jess still focused on madi's facial expression
"uh i mean you dont have to if you dont want to"
you state moving away from him a little to get in the car you were standing next to
"ill come with we are all going to the same place anyway"
"okay cool we ready to go"
"um yeah i guess"
you reply quietly as chris sits oddly close to you
"matt said we could go back to the house they are going to pick up food"
he states as he turns off his phone
"okay then to the house it is"
she states proceeding to pull out of the parking lot
"you okay jess"
"huh yeah its whatever"
"you sure you seem bothered"
"no im not i just nevermind"
you trail off keeping your feelings to yourself seeing that madi already is mad about something
"okay question"
she trails off as chris and jess look up
"are matt and madi you know actually"
"i dont think so at least they havent said anything if they were or not"
"i dont think they are but they are acting really weird"
"almost as weird as your acting jess whats up"
"nothing chris even if i wanted to tell you i couldnt okay"
you huff out opening your phone distracting yourself
Tumblr media
madi honestly didnt know why the whole chris and jess thing set her off so much i mean matt is apparently her boyfriend now so she shouldnt be mad about it although she couldnt shake the feeling of the fact jess literally hasnt thought to bring up any feelings she might even have for chris to her. we were sitting in the mcdonalds drive thru waiting for the food as madi was completely zoned out in thought
"helllo madi"
"earth to madison"
"hmm"
"your upset arent you"
"what no i mean i dont know what i feel honestly im not jealous im not mad at her"
"but you completely ignored her"
"because i dont know what to say 'oh hey jess you totally like chris you were basically fawning over him in the parking lot' like no"
she states shaking her head and turning to make eye contact with the two boys in the car with her
"just talk to her its probably not even what you think"
"nooo"
"what do you mean no nic jess is little like a little sister to us you know that"
"she was acting really weird this whole weekend i just didnt say anything because you know its jess"
"again why didnt she feel like she could tell me this"
"again maybe just ask her you two are really close she probably had her reasons"
he states looking at madi then matt
"so yall are dating now then it finally happened"
"yeah matt i guess we are dating apparently now"
she says raising her eyebrow at the boy
"yeah we are"
he states passing her the drink she order with the words 'will you be my girlfriend' written on the cup
"oh my god matt"
"what"
he states looking at what she is looking at
"oh my god thats so cute"
"yes matt i would love to be you girlfriend"
she states placing the cup in the cupholder in the car kissing matts cheek as he began to leave the drive thru to head home.
Tumblr media
We have been back at the house for a while waiting the food to get here and i have been staying away or rather avoiding Chris. Have you guessed the secret i have been keeping if it hasnt already been obvious which is probably why madi is mad at me currently well i dont know if thats why she mad and ignoring me and im just getting my head too much. i was currently upstairs pacing in madi's room waiting for her come back as soon as i heard the door open slightly to her room i hoped it was her
"are you okay"
"chrisss"
"what i was just checking in on you you have been up here for a while"
"i thought you were madi"
"okay seriously jess sit"
he states as she does so on madi's bean bag in her room him sitting next to her
"whats going on with you are you upset that madi ignored you just talk to her"
he states looking at jess as she maintained eye contact with her nails
"well no"
you trail off
"what is it then"
he asks looking at you next to him
"the problem is you chris"
you exclaim as he looked confused
"you are my problem chris"
"wh-what how am i your problem"
"its nothing nevermind"
you state getting in her head again getting up off of the bean bag going downstairs to be met with finally
"jess we need to talk"
she states quietly as you nod your head as she grabs your hand leading me out the door to the driveway
"Jess listen you know you can tell me anything i mean it i wont get mad at you"
" i know i just feel like a bad friend if i told you what i have been keeping from you"
"what is it j"
"i-i"
you trail off as your mom walks out
"hey you two.. are you guys okay"
she states noticing tears and facial expressions as she walks over and gives them both a hug as jess breaks eye contact with madi and regaining it as your mom does the same thing
"Madi.. i like Chris"
"wh-what you like chris "
she repeats as she finally looks up at her after maintaining eye contact with the ground
"yeah"
"wow"
"how how long"
"umm the whole time"
"and you didnt tell me jess why"
"i just i dont know i saw you and how you and chris were acting before he confessed to you and i just knew he wouldnt like me like that im like their little sister which hurts so bad"
you state truthfully breaking down in tears
"aww jess"
she says bringing you into a hug as you bawls your eyes out into her shoulder as she rubs your back
"are you mad madi"
"no jess i was just hurt you couldnt feel like you could tell me that i saw you in the parking lot with chris i knew"
she giggles a little
"plus im dating matt"
"wait"
"what i just asked if you were"
"yeah"
 "thats amazing so"
"he's all yours"
she states referring to chris
"but i cant tell him even after knowing him for at least a year now before we moved to boston i still get nervous"
"is it the blue eyes that make you nervous"
she giggles knowing she still cant maintain eye contact with Matt because of that
"yeah"
you giggle out
"well sweetie you tell him when the time is right and that time will come"
she states kissing both jess's and madi's forehead
"well i hate to be the bearer of bad news"
jess looks up at her
"youre leaving"
you sigh out
"i know love bug i will be back eventually for what its worth i loved visiting you and meeting your new friends and reuniting with your olds ones"
she trails off referring to Madi giving her a side hug
"okay bye loves"
she states pulling away from the girls getting in her car driving away.

If you’re taking requests !!!
This may not be much to go off of but maybe reader x Ethan Landry are coworkers and they both have the biggest crush on one another. He’s an awkward mess, but she finds it so cute. It can fluff or smutty, or both 😌😌
yes
Tumblr media
“Pass me the stapler, E?” You asked, bent halfway over the receptionist’s desk at the Blackmore Puppy Resort, carefully tapping a stack of papers together.
You’d been sorting for over half an hour, making sure every dog’s paperwork was kept neat and organized for the filing cabinet. Your coworker, a brunet named Ethan Landry, was sitting on the ground near your feet, attempting to fix a broken collar. His tongue was pressed to his cheek, eyebrows furrowed as he fiddled with the metal and leather contraption. Finally he grumbled, moving to his knees to stretch to the opposite cabinet, snatching the stapler up off the top.
“This is fucking hopeless.” He grumbled, passing you the stapler and dumping the collar in the trash. “Boss is gonna kill me.”
“It’s not that bad,” you told him, stapling together the papers, but when your eyes darted down to the bin and saw the mangled collar, you barely suppressed a snort. “okay, yeah. You annihilated that collar.”
“Ugh.” He groaned, leaning his back against the desk, splaying his legs out in front of him on the floor. “Okay, what if I drove to PetSmart really fast and got a new one? Think she’d notice?”
“Before the owner comes to pick up her dog in—” you glanced at the clock. “—twenty minutes? Yeah.” He groaned again and you cracked a smile. “Told you not to take the collar off.”
“It was bath time.”
“You’re supposed wash them with the collars on.”
Ethan made a noise of complaint and leaned his head against the side of your knee as you worked, continuing to staple papers. You let a small smile form on your mouth. You and Ethan had been working together for months now and had become fast friends; you ate lunch together during your breaks, raced each other to answer the phone, and fought over who got to walk the small dogs instead of the huge, hulking German Shepard that stayed regularly at the kennel while his military dad was on tour.
And, to be honest, you liked him a bit.
He was cute, that was undeniable. And the two of you had a sort of easy friendship that had began practically the first shift together. He looked up at you, brown eyes fixed on the side of your face as you finished up filing some paperwork.
“Do you remember Jess?” He asked and you paused, glancing down.
“Jess as in…your ex?”
“Yeah.” He sighed, looking towards a spot on the wall. “She texted me yesterday. Wants to go to Shake Shack later and catch up.” His curly head tilted as he adjusted himself, sitting up straighter. “Should I go?”
“Do you want to go?”
“Do you want me to want to go?”
“Do you want me to want you to want to go—?”
“Y/N.” He laughed, tugging at your shoelace as he grinned, a stupidly cute smile that pulled at your heart. “Im asking for your advice right now. Help me out.”
You pretended to ponder for a while, even if the thought of Ethan going anywhere with Jess made you feel slightly violent. You shrugged, sliding him a casual glance as you opened the desk drawer and shoved the papers inside.
“I don’t know.” You said, tightening your ponytail before you moved to the computer, pulling up your schedule. “Maybe you should reconsider doing anything with your ex-girlfriend.”
“It’s not like I have other options.” Ethan said, watching as you tapped on the keyboard slightly aggressively. “Right?”
“You could always use Tinder. A much more advanced, entertaining route than the obvious heartache you’re gonna get from getting Shake Shack with her.”
“Come on, haven’t you ever gone back to an ex?”
“No, because I’m not a dumbass. And I’m going on my lunch break in like, ten minutes, so that’s all the advice you’re getting.”
Ethan stayed silent for a moment and you turned, glancing down at where he seemed deep in concentration on the ground. Then he stood, sighing loudly, and stretched. The boy had no business being as tall as he was, practically towering over you when he was by your side.
“What if we went to Shake Shack instead?” He asked, drumming his fingers on the desk as he peered down at you. You raised an eyebrow and he raised one right back. “What? I don’t want to be thought of as a dumbass.” Your amused smile was enough for him to crack one of his own, his hip bumping yours as he walked by. “What do I text Jess?”
“How about nothing?” You offered, following him as he moved towards the back where the two of you kept your bags. “Block her.”
“I was thinking, ‘I’ve found a better lunch date’, but that works too.”
You rolled your eyes, picking up your bag and slinging it over your arm.
“You’re so annoying. But fine. We can get burgers if you want.”
“That’s my girl.” He said, grinning as he flicked your ear, his finger hooking through your belt loop as tugged you along with him out of the back.
After lunch and then your afternoon shift with Ethan, the two of you wound up at his dorm, splayed out on his bed as you watched American Psycho. Ethan was laying on his stomach next to you, chin on his arm as he watched the film, both of your eyes glued to the screen.
“Do you have a boyfriend?” He suddenly asked, and you glanced over in surprise.
“Hmm?”
“Do you—I mean, are you dating anyone?” He looked away, slightly embarrassed. “Sorry. Never-mind.”
“Why?” You asked, propping yourself on your elbow and turning your head to face him. He was close, barely half a foot away, his cheeks flushed a slight shade of pink. “You wanna ask me out on a date?”
“No.” He grinned slyly, his mask of awkwardness slipping a fraction into one of recognition at the line. “Do you have a boyfriend?”
“You’re so cheesy.” You laughed, nudging him with your shoulder, the scent of his cologne invading your nose as he watched you with amused, soft brown eyes. “Quoting Stab like I haven’t seen the movie a thousand—”
Ethan moved quickly, surprising you, one hand sliding from your jaw to your neck, the other hand pressing the mattress for support as he kissed you hard, an involuntary noise leaving you at the rapid movement. He pulled away, forehead brushing yours as he spoke, the taste of his spearmint gum lingering on your mouth.
“Go on a date with me, Y/N.” He murmured, kissing you again, and you slipped a hand into his hair, tugging him further onto you as you whispered your assent.

Rory Keaner x Reader
Tumblr media
y/n pov:
My first day at the new school and I'm already exhausted. Having gone through the previous day organizing all my stuff in the small apartment I have bought was more tiring than I had thought, although I'm a vampire this moving made me lose a lot of meals and I'm starving. Getting out of my comfy bed, that I use only for the reasons that I like to pretend to sleep, I go to the kitchen looking for something to eat, of course there's nothing and I'm gonna have to be late.
narrator pov:
y/n goes back to her bedroom to change clothes, choosing a dark red long sleeve, to hide the blood in case she spills some, and dark brown pants with a pair of black shoes, tying her hair up she tosses everything she thinks she will need on her backpack, a notebook, her phone, an extra blouse and a new tube of sunscreen.
- am i forgetting something - she picks her backpack and scan the room for what might she have forgotten, deciding she has everything she goes to her living room to open the curtains for the three remaining plants that survived her bad memory - sunglasses, my sunglasses - she squints her eyes putting a hand between her face and the sun while the other close the curtains - great now i’m blind - overstating her conditions y/n makes her way back into the bedroom.
finally with everything she needs in hand y/n exit her apartament to start her hunting. - my keys, i forgot the keys - now with what she hopes is everything y/n start her dark blue Ford Galaxie, her most prized possession - where does a vampire goes to eat some breakfast - she drives without a rout for some minutes until remembering the reason she came to this town at all. she picks her phone looking for her friends number - hey jes, do you have any blood on you, i just arrived and i’m so hungry - he being the reason she moved to whitechapel therefore the reason she didn't eat a drop of blood for two days is going to have to help - great, you came in the perfect time, we just got some blood and i want you to meet someone - she didn't wait for him to complete the sentence before she was spending to where she remember was his house.
y/n pov:
- who could it be that jesse wants me to meet - trying to guess who that person could be i almost forgot that i was driving, hitting someone in a bike, looks like a kid - oh my i killed a kid - stopping i get out of the car kneeling beside the person, groning the mop of blond hair turn over and i finally see the boys face - i’m so sorry, i didn’t saw you, please say you’re okay - i take the bike off him looking for blood or a broken bone, he seems okay - I don't think it hurt as much as your fall from heaven - the boy says, going from a pained expression to a sly smirk.
“what” I ask with a giggle, confusion clear in my face. it’s this boy, that i just hit with my car, hitting on me. “well, you know, because you're an angel” he blush “that fell from the sky” i conclude with a smile, what a cutie. i offer him my hand for him, he takes happily and we both stood up, giving him his bike back “i’m y/n nice to meet you, but i really need to get going and sorry again for almost running over you cutie pie” i get back into my car waving my hand at him, leaving behind a blond blushing mess behind. “I'm Rory” he shouts a little too late for me to hear.
narrator pov:
thinking about the encounter with the cute boy, y/n don't notice the time passing and in a blink she's at jesse’s gate, stretching her body a little out of the car she press the button of the interphone “password” a male voice comes from the little box “i don't know, jesse didn't say anything” throwing her head into the seat cushion, she should have guessed there would be a password, reaching for her phone she hear another voice that she recognize as jesse “hello old soul, hope you like the changes i made in the house” the gates open and she enter, seeing the front garden brings y/n old memories, some better than others. everything looks the same but different in some way, at least they have a pool now.
y/n pov:
I park the car in front of the door, there are some other vampires scattered along the entrance. entering the house it's a mess, red cups thrown on the floor, they definitely have thrown a party last night, i also see some kids lying on the furniture. “Jesse, it's so good to see you, you don't look a second older, these kids' blood are really good on you” finally in the kitchen I see Jesse with some of his friends and a girl that i don't know.
Turning in my direction Jesse opens a fangy grin, coming at me, he opens his arms and gives a big hug. “it's so good to have you back, and don't be so modest, you're as good as I remember” I reciprocate the hug, going back to the times where we whore kids and everything was simple. As I got grat the others i can see a new girl staring at me “it's so good to see y'all again, but i’m really hungry, jes where is the blood?” I held onto my stomach feeling more and more weak.
“here o- that's also the password” i take the bag of blood out of jesse’s hand, biting with ferocity into the bag i drink the majority of it’s content, letting little spill out, the metallic taste fills my senses as it fills my stomach. i feel my body getting its energies back slowly, taking slow breaths i recompose myself “sorry i didn't get a lot of opportunities in the travel” i do a little burp, putting my hand immediately on top of my mouth. “no judgment, we all know how bad it feels” a dark skinned boy says with a simpatic smile, he gives me a paper towel “i’m Nathan by the way” i take the towel saying a “thank you” after i clean myself jesse calls me to the living room.
i seat in the couch and he sits besides me “i want your help with a newling” he says looking at me and a let a small giggle “don't say that the great, cult leader, jesse is in need of help” i mock him poking at his face, he takes my hand away from his angry face “i don't ‘need’ you, i only want your abilities to convince that girl in the kitchen to drink blood” grabbing my wrist with force, he carve his index finger in my pulse “i’m gonna do it because you’re my friend not because you order it” i pull my arm free of his grip, a fine string of black liquid runs down its length “i am not one of your followers jesse, and we both know who wins this fight”
I hastily stand up going back to the kitchen, Jesse follows a little after. that now there's only the girl i don't met yet “y/n thats Sarah, one of our most recents addition and also my girlfriend” he gives a peck on her lips. I smile at Sarah knowing that its probably not gonna last much, i shake her hand and notice she is a little nervous “it's a pleasure to meet you Sarah. i hope we can be friends, all jesse’s friends are my mine too” jesse motions to the girl with his head and i understand she is the one, not wasting time i take her hand “you don't mind a take her for a walk do you” i pull Sarah to my side smiling at her still nervous face “not at all, have fun” saying bye to Jesse, i guide Sarah to the back of the house where the trees provide a good cover of the sun.
“So how long do you know Jesse” I start, trying to ease her “a couple of weeks, maybe three i guess” passing through the pebble path. I see one of my favorite spots in the house. An old wooden swing that sits below an even older oak tree, i happily stroll the rest of the way, patting the open space i invite her to take a sit besides me “it’s seems like you know Jesse very well, how many long have you know him” she asks me, voice coated with jealousy. i turn a little so my body face her “you don't need to worry darling, Jesse is like an annoying brother to me. i would never date him” she relax a bit, embarrassment showing on her face “and i know Jesse even before he was a vampire and what an ugly kid he was” i recall the time i met Jesse, he had always been a bossy little brat, but in that time we were such innocent kids. I tell Sarah about how I met Jesse, how he looked before being a vampire and how he felt the first time he drank blood.
Looking at my phone i see that we been talking for about ten minutes and the classes started five minutes ago “shit we’re late” we stand up to make our way back to the front “i’m sorry a got you late for school, hope you don't get in trouble” we speed walk to the front of the house where there's only my car. “That brat didn't even call us” i kick the floor picking some grass, taking a big breath a turn to Sarah “do you mind show me the way to school, not that you have another option” i give her an apologetic smile, leading her to my car i open the door for her, i hop into the driver's seat frustrated with Jesse’s antics.
“Sooo… Sarah what type of music do you like” not wanting the entire drive to be a painful silence i say the first thing that comes to mind “i listen to pop a lot, but i really like pop rock, what about you” she appears to be more comfortable now “i like a little of everything, but i think i know a music you gonna like” i turn on the radio with my cd already inside, passing some musics i finally stop on the right music, i look Sarah’s way expectantly.
“Not bad” she bobs her head in the rhythm, I followed along and not soon after were dancing to the song. we share the moment and i feel that we gonna be good friends “looks like we’re here” she points to a brown brick wall building, there's no sing signaling what is the building “i really liked meeting you Sarah, hope we can be friends”
i give her a side hug and we go our separate ways, but not before i bump in someone “sorry, i wasn't looking” the blond boy from before kneels on the ground looking for something, next to my feet i see black glasses that i remember seeing on the boy earlier. i quickly get down and pick the glasses “here” i hand them over to the cute boy “i don't think i got your name” helping him stand i say “it’s Rory, and you’re y/n, are you going to study here i can show you around, i’m like suuupeeeer popular here” enthusiastically he puts the glasses on, he looks like a happy puppy that just got a treat “please Rory show me the to the principal's office” he opens a big smile and leads me to the doors opening them for me.
i am feeling this year is going to be special

twilight rewrite! edward cullen x fem!witch!reader
chapter five: blood type
previous chapter ౨ৎ masterlist ౨ৎ chapter six
summary: edward gives in, no matter the efforts it took to keep himself away from her.
warnings: swearing, fluff, blood, gore
words: 4.9k (unedited)

Throughout the entire night, Edward’s words replayed in my mind. It's better if we're not friends. What did that even mean? That he wanted to? That he felt this pull just as I did, but was too afraid to embrace it? Or was it just me? My stomach twisted. He must’ve noticed how engrossed I was by him and didn’t want to lead me on. Perhaps he was a mind reader. Oh god. The pathetic thoughts I’ve had towards him… I was considering it.
Normally, it was so easy for me to read people. For all my life, I was able to take in someone's thoughts from just their expressions whether it was genuine or forced. I knew someone was so annoyingly obsessed with me or completely hated my guts. Lauren wasn’t even a good example, anyone could see right through her act even though she tried to hide it with fake smiles and interactions. She didn’t like me and even the entire school could catch onto that. My dad always wondered if I could hear his thoughts because of how in tune I was with his emotions. He was closed off, which was part of the reason him and my mother ended things, but for me? I could always see right through him and know exactly what to say to him. But, Edward on the other hand? He drove me absolutely insane.
My thoughts were thankfully interrupted by a buzz on my cell.
jess <3: Mike said YES!!!!
And then an immediate call afterwards.
Jess had me on the phone for almost an hour talking about Mike, the dance, Angela and Ben, and then of course, the so-called ‘tension’ she felt with Edward and I. But, I quickly changed the subject to shopping for dresses which kept her occupied for another hour.
Finally, she hung up and I went onto doing homework and answering emails from my mom before eventually passing out.

Turning into the school lot, I made sure to park even farther than usual from his Volvo for my own sanity. Getting out of my car, I realized I’d left my keys and yanked it out a bit too swiftly, the keys flying into a puddle just outside my car. As I bent down to get it, a white hand swooped in and grabbed it, causing my jerk upright. I looked up, seeing Edward Cullen casually leaning on my car, my keys just dangling in his hands for me to take.
“How the hell do you do that?” I ask with an exasperated huff.
“Do what?” He held out my keys for me and I snatched them. He gave a light-hearted chuckle.
“Appear out of thin air.” I spat out.
“Y/N, it’s not my fault that you’re exceptionally unobservant.”
I didn’t want to have this conversation again. I was tired of it. Instead, I walked past him. This time not even bothering to serve him a glance towards his way, no matter how much I wanted to.
To my surprise, he jogged towards me.
“So, why the traffic jam yesterday?” I huffed. “Thought you were supposed to be pretending I don’t exist, not deliberately annoying me.”
He gave a light chuckle. “That was for Tyler’s sake, not mine. Seems like he wanted a chance with you.”
That’s when I finally faced him, finding the urge not to hit his perfect face or perfect anything for that matter. “You’re fucking kidding.” He only seemed amused by my response.
“And I’m not pretending you don’t exist.”
“Oh, really? So you’re trying to annoy me to death? What? Since Tyler’s van didn’t do the job?” This anger was new to me. Usually, things didn’t bother me this much. But, Edward was different.
I expected anger from him as usual, but he only looked down at his feet, before muttering, “Y/N, that’s not–”
“I don’t care. Can you just leave me alone? Please? I just can’t keep up. One minute you're angry and the other you're consoling me. Your mood swings are giving me whiplash.” I interrupted him, not daring to look him back in the eye.
Silence followed, which was my que to head off to English.
I hadn’t realized class started by the time I walked in, Mr. Mason gave a huff with a “Thank you for joining us, Miss Y/L/N.” I headed to my seat in a rush.
The entire class, I spent the majority of the time zoning out, thinking about what Edward had said. It wasn’t until class ended that I realized the seat next to me wasn’t occupied by the usual Mike, who would whisper my ear off for a straight hour. The silence was quite nice, but it worried me a bit. Once we all walked out of class, Mike’s spirits seemed to have lifted somehow as Eric mentioned the beach trip. Even with your sixteen years living here, it amazed you how Jess and the boys enjoyed surfing in this weather. No matter how much you favored Forks, California sure had Forks beaten with beaches. Most of the beach trips at Forks consisted of Angela and I waddled up in blankets at the back of Tyler’s van and watching movies off of one of my old DVD players.
The rest of the morning passed in a blur. Now, it was lunch. With my shaking nerves, I attempted to keep all my focus on Jessica’s babbling instead of searching for those golden eyes. I could hardly keep up with her pace as she rambled on about the dance plans, even convincing Angela to ask out Ben. I couldn’t help but wander my eyes towards his table. He wasn’t there. His four siblings sat in their usual spots, the only one with eyes on me was the one with a pixie-cut, Alice, with a slight smile curving on her lips.
“Edward is staring at you again,” Jessica said. I broke eye contact with Alice, bringing my attention towards Jessica. “I wonder why he’s sitting alone today.”
I followed her gaze from across the classroom. There he was. Edward. His crooked smile widening once he’d caught my attention. Suddenly, I’d lost my appetite. He waved his fingers towards me, motioning for me to join him, then a wink. Fuck.
“Does he mean you?” Jessica’s voice staggered. I’d forgotten we weren’t the only people in the room for a moment. “Told you he was into you.” she whispered, fighting through her giggles. I swore he heard that asI saw him fight a chuckle.
I shoved Jessica with my shoulder, hesitantly walking towards Edward with Jessica’s giggles in my rear view. When I reached the table, I didn’t sit, instead I stood behind the chair waiting for him to speak.
“Why don’t you sit with me today?” he asked, smiling. I eyed the chair, pulling it opening and sitting on the edge of it. His smile felt unreal, as if it was another ploy to reel me in again and push me away just as hard.
“Thought you didn’t wanna be friends?” I questioned.
“I said it would be better if we weren’t friends, not that I didn’t want to be.”
“What does that even mean?” I couldn’t read him. Why put so much effort into someone he hardly even knew? Why was I doing that?
“It means if you were smart, you’d stay away from me.” I tried.
“Haven’t I tried that already? You’re the one who wanted me here.”
“Well, I’ve decided to hell with it. As long as I’m going, I might as well get to know you better.”
“Hell? Now you’ve just expanded my theories.” I had none. No logical ones at least. I couldn’t even think them, let alone say them out loud, it was too bizarre.
“Oh, really? Won’t you tell me then?” he asked, tilting his head to the side with a tempting smile.
“Nope.” I shook my head, giving him a malicious smile.
“That’s really frustrating, you know?” So was he.
“Well that’s too bad.” I snickered. I decided not to make a scene, I could’ve bursted to him about the many ways he’s frustrated me. For starters, him being absolutely disgusted by me, ignoring me, then suddenly being enamored by me, then saving me, then ignoring me again, then suddenly he wants to get to know me? But, I wasn’t about to let the entire cafeteria know my frustrations with him.
“Fair enough.” He chuckled, then moved his gaze towards my original table. “I think your friends are angry with me for stealing you.”
I looked towards them. Angela and Jessica wore the same attitude: smiles and a fit of giggles. Lauren was angry as always, forcing herself closer to Tyler as he watched Edward and I with careful eyes. Eric pretended he wasn’t looking at all. Mike on the other hand, thankfully Jess hadn’t noticed, was burning holes at the back of Edward's head.
“They’ll survive.”
“Your boyfriend seems to think I’m being unpleasant to you – he’s debating whether or not to come and steal you away from me.” My face fell.
“He’s not my boyfriend.” I mumbled.
“He sure acts like he is.”
“Yeah, well that’s not my problem.”
Our table fell silent for a moment, until he spoke, “Aren’t you hungry?” No. I was full of nerves.
“No,” I said plainly. “You?” I knew what the answer was. It was embarrassing how attentively I watched him. He had food and he nibbled at it, but he never once ate. Same with his family. Emmett always carried a large amount of boiled eggs for whatever reason.
“Can you do me a favor?” I breathed out, hesitant to even say anything at all.
“Depends on what you’re asking for.”
“Not much…” He waited for my response. “What is this? What are we doing? Are we friends? Cause I don’t wanna waste my time if you’re just gonna ignore me again.”
“I told you – I got tired of trying to stay away from you. So… I’m giving up.” His smile was almost contagious, but I can see the pained look in his eyes.
“Giving up?”
“Yes, giving up. I’m not good for you, I know that. But, for some reason, I can’t seem to stay away from you.” He said softly. My breath hitched. I can’t seem to stay away from you. So, I wasn’t the only one.
“So…” I breathed in. I could hardly even bring myself to speak. “Friends?”
“Only if you tell me one of your theories.”
“Maybe later. Too many people around.”
He’d gotten up, I assumed that he’d wanted to leave. Instead, he moved his arm in front of himself, gesturing for me to go in front of him. “Lead the way.”
“You can’t be serious.” I laughed. The entire cafeteria’s eyes were on us, even his siblings and the stare they wore seemed unwelcoming, besides Alice, who tried her hardest to not break out into a smile.
All he did was give me another famous smirk. I practically jumped out of my seat, feeling all eyes on me as Edward and I left the cafeteria. We walked until no one was in sight, leading me to the back of the school on a hillside.
“Now, just one theory – I won’t laugh,” he said, plopping himself down in the grass.
“Yes, you will.”
“Please?” he breathed, leaning towards me.
I froze. My mind had gone completely blank. It took me a minute to recuperate before responding, “It’s dumb. I–I don’t know? Bitten by a radioactive spider?” It didn’t even sound better in my head at all.
“Well that’s not creative at all,” he scoffed.
“Well that’s all I’ve got. You haven’t given me much,” I laughed.
“You’re not even close,” he teased.
“No spiders?”
“Nope.”
“And no radioactivity?”
“None.”
“Dammit,” I sighed.
“Kryptonite doesn’t bother me, either.” He chuckled.
“Hey! You’re not supposed to laugh, remember?”
He struggled to compose his laughter.
After a few moments of silence, I started up again, “I just feel like… this doesn’t feel real. I’m here guessing which superpower you have and it sounds ridiculous, it really does…” I was caught up in thought, not even realizing the words I was saying aloud. “But I know what I saw. I just need a little help feeling a little less crazy here.”
“I wish you wouldn’t try.” His tone was serious again.
“Because…?”
“You say superpower, as in superheroes, but what if I’m not a hero? What if I’m the bad guy?” He tried to hide his remorse with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“No.” He seemed surprised by my remark. “I don’t believe that you’re a bad person. Dangerous, maybe? I don’t know. But not bad.”
“You’re wrong.”
Before I could even respond, the bell had rang, not even allowing me to process my thoughts.
I got up, offering my hand to his. “We’re gonna be late.”
He ignored my offer, gracefully standing up on his own.
“I’m not going to class today.”
“Why not?” I said, trying to hide my disappointment.
“It’s healthy to ditch class now and then.” He smiled, but still had a look of uneasiness.
“Not me. I’m gonna go,” I said. I couldn’t miss any more school than I already did, plus, I was a coward.
“I’ll see you later, then.” I wanted to stay with him. I considered it about fifty times in my head, but once I heard the first bell, my feet moved to its own accord.
As I fast-walked to class, I couldn’t help that my mind wandered to Edward. How none of my questions were answered, how I wasn’t afraid of him, how he thought of himself as a bad person. Only one question had been answered: I wasn’t the only one who felt a mental and physical pull towards him.
Lucky for me, Mr. Banner wasn’t in the class yet, so I hurried to my seat, hearing Jessica and Angela plead to come to their table for ‘deets’. Mike on the other hand looked resentful as he stared at me with his dejected eyes. I hushed them before Mr. Banner finally came into the room, juggling a few cardboard boxes in his arms, ordering Mike to pass them around.
“Okay, guys, I want you all to take one piece from each box,” he said, pulling a pair of disposable rubber gloves from his desk onto his hands. “The first should be an indicator card,” he went on, grabbing a white card with four squares marked on it. “The second is a four-pronged applicator –” he held up what looked to be a nearly toothless hair pick “– and the third is a sterile micro-lancet.” He held up a small piece of blue plastic and split it open. The barb was invisible from this distance, but my stomach flipped.
It happened when I was 12. I always saw my dad watching sports, but no matter how hard I tried, I was never engaged. One thing I did love: tossing around a foam football in our backyard. It was something that I could be a part of, rather than being lost in all the rules and regulations, tossing around a ball with my dad was almost effortless, with either no rules at all or ones that I maliciously made up on the spot. One day, my dad’s hand was far too strong, throwing it far into the woods. Normally, there was never an issue. Either one of us would run over and pick it up because what was the harm? It was only our backyard after all. So, I ran to get it. I found myself wandering a bit too far off than usual, hearing my dad’s shuffling and yells to head back. When I turned to head back, on my left there was a foot in the distance. I ran to it, calling out to my dad over and over to help the poor person who laid motionless in the middle of the woods. But when I reached them, they were far from gone. There was blood, a lot of it. I could hardly stand the gory horror movies with the blood even knowing it was fake. But this was something entirely different. Blood was absolutely everywhere, pooling from the neck. I was mortified. I ran back screaming, fully broken out into sobs as I tried to explain to my dad what I’d seen. That was the first animal attack in years. Ever since then, I’ve had what the doctor’s called ‘hemophobia’. It had gotten better over the years, the only exception being television or movies where I mostly closed my eyes, but physically? Needles and blood draws were a different story entirely.
“I’ll be coming around with a dropper of water to prepare your cards, so please don’t start until I get to you.” I felt like all my senses had heightened. At Mike’s table again, he started by carefully putting one drop of water in each of the four squares. “Then I want you to carefully prick your finger with the lancet…” He grabbed Mike’s hand and plunged the spike into the tip of Mike’s middle finger. Fuck. I felt sweat accumulate on my body, my hands leaving marks on the black countertop.
“Put a small drop of blood on each of the prongs.” He demonstrated, squeezing Mike’s finger till the blood flowed. That was it. The entire room spun around me and I couldn’t move a single inch. The words of Mr. Banner turned into a mumble as the ringing in my ears rang at an uncomfortable volume. I squeezed my eyes shut, attempting to tune out the entire world. A flash of red floods through my vision, not blood, but hair. A fiery red shade that complimented her pale skin and dark lips. She ran through a forest, impossibly fast, never breaking a sweat. Next to her, a man, just as pale as her, blonde with his hair tucked away in a ponytail. Then a third, one with much darker skin, but they all shared the same quality: red, bloodthirsty eyes. Then there’s water. A dock. A boat. Then, blood. Lots of it.
“Y/N, are you alright?” a voice said. I opened my eyes and I was back in the classroom, Mr. Banner hovering over me. What the fuck.
“I– uh– I already know my blood type,” I said in a weak voice, wiping the sweat from my hands on my pants.
“Are you feeling faint?” I nodded in response. “Can someone take Y/N to the nurse, please?” I didn’t even have to look around to know that it was Mike who volunteered to take me.
I attempted to stand, but Mike had practically ran to my side, putting his arm around my waist and my arm to his shoulder, forcing me to lean on him on the way out of the classroom. While he lugged me across campus, my mind was moving faster than my body, which had almost completely shut down from the shock.
“Can we stop for a minute, please? I– I just need to sit.” I yelped out. He brought me to a bench on the side of the building before I begged, “And p-please, keep your hand in your pocket.” I didn’t know what would happen if I saw blood again. I shivered at the thought.
“Bella?” his voice called from the distance. No, please, no.
“What’s wrong – is she hurt?” His voice was much closer, a voice filled with worry?
I didn’t even bother opening my eyes, instead I rocked my body back and forth, knocking my head on the wall, hoping that by some miracle, I was dreaming.
“I think she fainted. She didn’t even stick her finger, I don’t know what happened.” I could hear the stress in Mike’s voice, also the anger. He wanted more than anything for Edward to go away and so did I.
“Y/N.” Edward was inches away from my face. “Can you hear me?”
“No,” I groaned. “Go away.” A chuckle left his lips.
“I was taking her to the nurse,” Mike explained defensively, “but she wanted to stop.”
“I’ll take her,” Edward said. Please, no. “You can go back to class.”
“No,” Mike protested. Oh god, here we go again. “I’m supposed to do it.” Even with my eyes closed, I could picture Mike attempting to stand his ground against Edward, who was probably three inches taller than him. If I wasn’t so mentally and physically drained, I would’ve giggled at just the mental picture.
Suddenly I didn’t feel the bench anymore. My eyes shot upon. Edward had effortlessly scooped me up in his arms as if I weighed nothing at all.
“Put me down!” Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
I could hear Mike yelling in the back, but Edward had already strode quick enough to the point where he was only a mumble.
“You look awful,” he said, grinning.
“Edward. Please put me down.” The rocking felt worse. He wasn’t listening, so I settled my arms around his neck to steady my movements. I couldn’t help but notice how much his body had gone rigid.
“So you faint at the sight of blood?” he asked. Yes... and apparently have freaky visions too… I didn’t answer. “And not even your own blood,” he continued, obviously amusing himself.
“Oh my,” I heard a female voice gasp.
“She fainted in Biology,” Edward explained.
Opening my eyes, I found myself in the office with Edward already making his way to the nurse’s door, to which a lady opened for him. Edward gently placed me on the cot, moving only just inches away from me.
“She’s just a little faint,” he said to the nurse. “They’re blood typing in Biology.”
“Just lie down for a minute, hon. It’ll pass.” I nodded in response. “Does this happen a lot?”
“Hasn’t happened in a while.” I couldn’t help, but notice Edward from the side of me, barely being able to contain a laugh.
The nurse faced Edward. “You can go back to class now,” she told him.
“I’m supposed to stay with her.” The nurse didn’t seem to argue with him. How did Edward have such a way with people?
The nurse had left the room to get ice, to which I laid down on the cot, groaning, “You were right.”
“I usually am – but about what in particular this time?” I didn’t have the energy to argue.
“Ditching is healthy.”
“You scared me back there.” His tone surprised me. The way his breath hitched, as if he was confessing his deepest darkest secrets; that he was worried about me. “I thought Newton was dragging your dead body off to bury it in the woods.”
I stifled a chuckle. I tried to imagine poor Mike Newton, anxiety and all, trying to cover up my murder.
“How’d you see me? Thought you were ditching?” I sat up, facing him. Finally, the dizzy spell had passed.
“I was in my car, listening to a CD.” For some reason, it surprised me. So, he was normal-ish?
The door opened, revealing the nurse with an ice pack in hand, laying it across my forehead. “You’re looking better,” she chirped.
“Yeah, I think–” I was interrupted by the door opening, the receptionist had her head peeking through, claiming there was a boy waiting at the door for me.
The door fully opened to reveal Mike, awkwardly walking through the door, glancing from me to Edward, a look of loathe stretched across his face.
“You look better.” I nodded in response. He continued, “So, you ready to go back to class?”
The nurse interrupted before I could reply, “I think it would be best if she stayed. What’s your next class, dear?”
“Gym.”
“Oh my, Ms. Cope here will get a note right out to your class, dear, don’t you worry about that!”
Mike left awkwardly, mumbling, “Feel better. See you at the beach.” before heading back to Biology. I didn’t even realize Edward had left too. I took the time alone to lie back down, placing the ice pack back on my forehead, hoping the ice would numb my mind too.
I felt the cot from beneath me disappear and was once again surprised to see Edward scooping me up in his arms. I yelped, “What are you doing?!”
“Taking you home.” As it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Once we were through the doors, I could feel all eyes on me, both the nurse and Ms. Cope looked at me in admiration. I could feel my cheeks burning red from the embarrassment.
“I can walk, you know?”
“Yep.” I didn’t miss the smirk on his lips, especially when we’d passed Mike, who’d become even more red from the sight of us. Edward simply laughed it off.
As soon as we got to the parking lot, he set me on my feet, leaving us both to walk side by side until we reached our cars.
“You’re enjoying this aren’t you?”
“A little, yeah.” That damn smile.
When I went to walk over to my own car, something caught my jacket, yanking me back.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he asked, his eyebrows completely raised.
“Home?”
“I promised I’d safely take you home. You think I’m going to let you drive in your condition?”
He was right, as much as I hated to admit it. Not even twenty minutes ago I was recovering from a dizzy spell, accompanied by whatever the hell I saw when I closed my eyes. I only asked, “What about my car?”
“I’ll have Alice drop it off for you after school.” He loosened his grip on my jacket, placing his hand on my back to guide me to his car, to which he opened and closed for me once I’d gotten in.
He got into his car and settled his keys in, cranking up the heat. I didn’t even realize how freezing I was until he cranked up the heat, which eventually settled down my shivers. Before we set off, I told him my address. Then, a familiar tune flooded my ears.
“Clair de Lune?” I asked, surprised. When he said he was listening to a CD, I didn’t know what I’d expect to blare from his speakers, but it definitely wasn’t the elegance of Claude Debussy.
“You know Debussy?” He sounded just as surprised as I was.
“From my mom.” I nodded. “She plays a lot of classical music – I only know a couple of my favorites.”
“It’s one of my favorites, too.”
I leaned back into the gray leather seat, watching the rain, and letting the music soothe my nerves. The view outside had blurred completely into green and gray streaks, showing just how fast we were going, but the ride had felt as smooth as ever.
“If you don’t mind me asking… Why are you sensitive to blood?”
“Um…” I paused. For some reason, I felt alright with telling him. No one else had known besides my dad, the doctors, and the occasional therapist. “When I was 12, I saw an animal attack. It was in the woods by my house. There was a lot of blood… and since then, I don’t know… I just freak out.”
“I’m sorry,” he said sincerely.
I let silence invade the space, before mumbling, “Your turn.”
“What?” He looked terrified. As if I’d just asked him to reveal one of his deepest and darkest secrets.
“Tell me something about yourself. It doesn’t have to be as deep and traumatic as mine… What about your family?” I deserved to know even a portion about his life at least.
“What do you want to know?”
“The Cullens adopted you?” I confirmed.
“Yes.”
“Can I ask what happened to your parents?” I didn’t expect an answer. Even after all that I’ve told him, it seemed too overbearing.
“They died a long time ago.”
“I’m sorry.”
He shook his head. “I don’t remember them much. Carlisle and Esme are all I’ve ever known really. I couldn’t imagine two better people.”
“I’m glad.” I continued on, “And your brother and sister?”
“My brother and sister, and Jasper and Rosalie for that matter… they are going to be quite upset if they have to stand in the rain to wait for me.” He chuckled.
“Oh, shit.” I hadn’t even realized we stopped, let alone in front of my house already. “Sorry, yeah, I’ll um– see you later?”
I didn’t get out of the car yet. I wanted to ask him something, even if I ended up regretting it later.
“Did you wanna come with us to the beach?” I breathed out.
A smile littered across his face. “Which beach?” Was he considering it?
“La Push.”
His smile lessened. So I asked, “Something wrong?”
“No, sorry.” His eyebrows furrowed intensely. “I just remembered Emmett and I had plans. Hiking in the Goat Rock Wilderness.”
“Oh,” I said. “Well, have fun.” I tried to hide my disappointment, but I don’t think I fooled him too much. A smile was still spread across his face, almost amused by how I reacted.
Just as I was about to open the door, he said, “Maybe another time. Just the two of us. Somewhere more quiet.” I felt shivers down my spine.
“Y-yeah.” I stuttered. “Thanks for the ride.”
Slamming the door shut, I turned to face him, his smile still radiating even after he drove off.
next chapter

so, you’re telling me that hailey, who didn’t take off her ring for the presumably months that jay didn’t answer his phone (not even when she found out he applied for an extension from his supervisor!), who never once talked shit on his name, who leaves him messages telling him she understands, who encapsulated their apartment from the time her husband left, who said “miss you, love you” maybe 24 hours before, just decided to take off her ring on her own accord and we’re supposed to believe that? that’s the storyline they think we’ll buy into? it’s not an honorable memory for jay halstead because jay halstead would never do that. it’s a shitty take on a couple who fought tooth and nail to be together when they were put through the ringer. two characters that stood by each other’s sides, brought each other out from the dark time and time again both as partners, friends, boyfriend and girlfriend, and husband and wife who were summed up to both doing something as an act of self preservation when their only form of actually self preservation in the shithole that is intelligence was ALWAYS EACH OTHER! hailey should have never been put in the position she’s in, but sadly, with the way the writing has been going for her all season… she’s a ghost of who she is at the core. she can’t just endure trauma after trauma and be expected to be okay at the end of it all. especially when the people she has in their life either 1) can’t be bothered to care about her at all (looking at the team who has known her for years tbh because what the fuck?) or 2) continuously abuse her vulnerability as a means to wear her down. the latter of which hank voight does all the time. he’s either scolding her or pretending like he cares, all in the name of achieving a certain outcome. sometimes both at the same time. last night was a perfect example. the hailey that sits and drinks with him and apparently takes relationship advice isn’t OUR hailey. it’s not the hailey who was pissed that this man was dragging her husband down with him like he also tried to do to her. so, who is this version of hailey upton aside from someone who thinks they deserve the pain they keep putting her through? how did “i swear to you that we’re going to get through this because you’re the love of my life” turn into ignoring phone calls and never coming home and “miss you, love you” turn into hailey taking off her ring? it’s a joke. it’s pain for the sake of pain. there’s no light that comes from any of this. it’s not growth or healing or digging yourself out from the dirt. it’s inexcusably bad writing.
tracy deserves better. jesse deserves better. hailey and jay, both as characters and as the couple we all know and love, deserve better. my heart hurts for them. and for us.

Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls- Season 2, Episode 22 (Last Episode of the Season). "I Can't Get Started" Part 4
Aaaaand we've finally arrived at the finish line for Season 2. I began recapping this season on November 25th, 2022, the day after Thanksgiving...310 days ago. SaltyGilmores! SaltyGilmores! Can you tell us a little about how you're feeling as you prepare to begin season 3?
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
You ever watch a Stars Hollow crowd scene on Gilmore Girls and go, who the hell are all these people and where did they come from?
Tumblr media
This is so ridiculously corny and cute. This is what we live for. This is what Gilly Girls is all about. You ever see some of the spicy tight and low cut blouses Lane wears on this show and wonder how Mrs Kim ever allowed her out of the house? I'm asking the important questions today.
Tumblr media
R: I'm about to cheat on your ass so hard your head will spin. I am gonna kiss my stepcousin so hard.
D: (pointing to Miss Patty, Babette, and the Stars Hollowans gathered around the piano) How many cocktails caused that? R: None, but when they start drinking we're going to have to hide you. One of ASP's favorite recurring jokes is the one where Miss Patty, left to her own devices, would inevitably try to force herself sexually onto Jess and Dean; it's unclear in this scenario whether that is the threat or if it's "we're gonna have to hide you or she'll make you sing.". But I can take a guess here.
There's another sexual predator who loves tall pretty teenage boys lurking around this wedding that you should be more concerned about.
Dean gets a "We're calling to discuss your car's extended warranty" call and pretends it's someone important on the line so he can keep fooling Rory into thinking he actually has a life. Uh, anyway, it's Paris? Calling Dean's phone? Alright.Rory asks Paris how she got Dean's number but It's never explained. Paris is a wizard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sookie is having her wedding on a Friday afternoon. It is a Friday and Rory is not in school (AGAIN!), Dean, Lane and Jess are not at school (AGAIN), Rory is missing ELECTION DAY at school where she may potentially be elected Vice President, Lorelai is not working and making Michel fill in for her, there are dozens of other people attending this wedding who are not working, IT'S A FRIDAY AFTERNOON NO ONE IS WORKING (EXCEPT MICHEL) OR GOING TO SCHOOL THEY'RE ALL AT THIS WEDDING. Also, everyone is DRUNK on a Friday afternoon. Well I can't hate on that. What else is there to do in the Hollow besides drink away your troubles? Headmaster Charleston: Miss Gilmore, would you care to explain these multiple unexcused absences? Rory: Well, two weeks ago I ditched school to take a bus to new york city to eat wieners with my cousin and this week I skipped school to go to my mother's friend's wedding which she scheduled for the middle of the afternoon on a Friday, and I had to stick to my agenda of going to the wedding and kissing my cousin. Paris doesn't directly say that GellerMore won, but Rory thinks it's implied (and we already know they win). She proceeds to notifiy Dean. Who is just...over the moon upon hearing the news.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well...okay. Fine. I'll take it. Where's the angry posseiveness? Like the time Rory wanted to spend time away from him volunteering? Or spend one night away from him doing her laundry? Or spend an hour eating lunch with Jess? Or.. It's probably because this time there are witnesses around, although that would imply Dean actually has some level of self awareness that his behavior is inappropriate. Speaking of Inappropriate...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, that answers THAT question.
Tumblr media
...Says the sexual predator, as she drools over him like a dog eyeing a well cooked 6'4 steak.
Don’t drag my girl Babette into this, she's devoted to her Morey. Unlike you two beasts, Lorelai and MP, she has some standards).
Tumblr media
Chris Hansen would have a field day at this wedding with all these predators in one place. Why does Crusty's suit look like it's incredibly ill fitting? Maybe it's just me.
Tumblr media
STOP IT!!!! I COMMAND YOU TO STOP IT!!!
Tumblr media
Lorelai and Crusty are shamelessly swapping spit in the middle of her friend’s wedding reception, sullying the virgin eyes of Rory and a minister and Sookie and God and Lane and everyone else. Lore to Crusty: Stop looking at me like that or everyone here will think we did it! Pretty rich coming from soneone who looks at Dean Forrester the same way. I HATE that I'm recapping this FILTH and don't know WHY I'm doing it. Crusty (before Lorelai's parents walked up and mercifully interrupted them) Do you feel embarrased about last night? Sorry about it? Want to repeat it?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IN FRONT OF HER GOSH DANG MOTHER/GRANDMOTHER OF HIS CHILD. Disgusting, filthy, shameless psychopaths.
Tumblr media
Dat's a good question.
Tumblr media
I mean, it's a half truth, at least. Now you wanna tell your Mom how he used his daughter's medical appointment as a springboard to dive straight into your pants?
Tumblr media
Has he now? Golly gee whillikers, I must have missed that part, must've happened in between all the rounds of projectile vomitting I've been doing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lorelai, with the world's worst poker face as she daydreams about her next Crusty Porking, convinces Emily that Christopher is only here to spend more time with Rory and Emily is like well isn't that nice. Are we really supposed to believe Emily is that fucking stupid?
Tumblr media
Let's check back in with some of the more non-loathsome residents of the Hollow. Take it away Kirk! Then take ME away. Please.
Tumblr media
Rory, for your own sanity and wellbeing, please keep your mind unsullied and pure and don't ask your crusty father questions like this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh Rory. Oh my poor sweet innocent bubs, Rory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nobody owns calendars in the Hollow, I suppose. Please see my throbbing, rock hard photographic proof above that this wedding is happening on a Friday. (Not to mention, if it was Sunday...Paris is at school?) I will have to squeeze the remaining four minutes (The Jess Minutes) into one final post. After I mop up my barf. Toodles.

Josie and Sophie being Ballet WAGs is something I never knew I needed in my life until now.
Sophie being thrown around by her prim as fuck Sommelier Ballet Boyfriend… lucky lucky duck
Josie literally never would have thought that when she took her grandmother to the Royal Ballet for her birthday that she'd see Edwina Sharma dancing across the stage and fall in love with her.
Even less would she have thought that she'd be back a week later, trying to pretend her eyes weren't glued to her. And again, two weeks later. More than she's ever been to the Ballet in her entire life. She doesn't even like the ballet. She shook her head as she turned the corner away from the Opera house and runs smack-bang into her, Edwina stumbling back in surprise, her hair still pulled back, makeup mostly still on and Josie's heart stops.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry."
"You're fine." The woman brushed her off, smiling gently. "Enjoy your night."
And for the rest of her life, Josie'll be glad she called out like a lunatic after her. "I've come twice just to see you!"
She stopped, turning back to her with her eyebrow raised, "I'm sorry?"
Josie cleared her throat, cursing herself a little, "I um- I brought my grandmother, for her birthday. And... you were so good I- I came back twice more."
Edwina smiled, tilting her head, "That's sweet but I'm... not the lead dancer, I think you might have me confused with Jess. Maybe one day though."
"I'm not confused."
Something was building between them, unbelievably honestly, as their eyes met right there on the street, the light casting a glow around Edwina.
"Well um- I just- You're great." Josie ducked her head, "I'm going to go now."
She whirled around, slightly mortified, her cheeks burning suddenly desperate to get away from the quietly intimidating woman.
"Are you like... seriously not going to ask for my number?"
Josie whirled around blinking a little stupidly, "I... didn't know I could?"
She chuckled, a kind little sound, rummaging in her bag for a moment before she plucked out a pen "Why not? You're pretty and you seem cute. Can I have your hand?"
"Can I have your autograph?" Josie spat it out again, thrusting the program forward, awkwardly.
She smiled again, their fingers brushing as Edwina took it from her, flicking to the small portrait of her printed in the back, scribbling her signature quickly, a phone number printed neatly underneath.
"Maybe... you could call me. Because I think 3 times is enough to see this show."
"I'll definitely call you."
"And Maybe you want to tell me your name?"
"Fuck." Josie cursed, "It's um- I'm Josephine, Josie."
"It was nice to meet you, Josie."
"Yes, Yeah!" Josie called out as Edwina walked backwards away from her, "I'll- I'll be back though!"
And she is, a week later, after their first date, Edwina finds flowers delivered to her dressing room and she rolls her eyes, expecting to find her mum's handwriting or Kate's in the card, but it isn't. It's a little unfamiliar but it feels nice when she sees Can't wait to see you again- Josie x And when she leaves the stage door, there Josie is. Leaning against the wall.
But Sophie and Josie are the proudest royal Ballet WAGS. Unbelievable. Wearing their partner's Royal Ballet Sweatshirts, Sophie rolling her eyes when a client says-
"Wouldn't have pegged you for a Royal Ballet fan."
"My boyfriend is in the company. I stole this off him." She sighs, "Kate's sister is as well."
They blinked, "Your boyfriend is a ballerina?"
"They're called Danseurs, actually. And yeah he is."
"He must be ripped as fuck."
And she couldn't help but smirk, "Yeah he is. Very fun to be consensually tossed around."
"That's my brother, Sophie." Anthony called out, "Don't be gross, please."
"I caught you mounting my best friend yesterday, Anthony, cool it!"
And mostly, Sophie, Kate and Josie co-ordinate their supportive trips to the ballet, all of them sat together, clapping almost too loudly.

Chapter 1
Everybody was looking at you. You were sure of it. As you walked to your locker monday morning, you started feeling dizzy as you felt several eyes full of pity focusing on you. You hated it. If it wasn’t for the english test in the second period, you would’ve already faked a disease in order to go home.
Headphones playing “skinny dipping” by Sabrina Carpenter in your ears, you finally reached your locker. Usually Jessica would be waiting for you there, so you could walk to class together. Even though you loved her with your whole heart, you felt relieved. She knew you too well and although she would absolutely give you time and space if you needed it, you wouldn’t be able to pretend you were fine. Not with her.
Books in hand, you closed your locker and started walking toward history class. The hallways were almost empty at this point, which you were almost grateful for. The feeling went away instantly when you got closer to the classroom. You froze. Harry was leaning his back on the wall next to the door, looking at the screen of his phone, his other hand holding a box of chocolates.
As if sensing your presence, he looked up, his expression going from indifference to something that tried to be, but wasn’t quite sorrow. You wanted to disappear. You knew you would run into your ex some time during the day, but not so soon, he was always late to class. Always.
He took a few steps and got closer to you and said your name. It was like everything was happening in slow motion, you felt a jolt in your heart until the events of saturday started coming back to you.
***
There was a party at Peter B.’s house. His aunt and uncle won a vacation to Miami in a radio contest and would be out of town for a week. You knew it because Peter told you himself when he invited you and Harry. Peter was nice and funny and you wished he and Harry were as close as they used to be. They were childhood friends, but when high school came around, Harry started walking with a different crowd and eventually Peter made new friends of his own.
Still, Peter B. never stopped trying to keep in touch with Harry, even if the effort was one sided. You felt so bad when Harry seemed uninterested in Peter’s stories or completely ignored his friend. When you started noticing that, you tried to compensate for your ex’s behavior, going out of your way to be kind and pay attention to Peter.
Which was not hard at all, the kid had a heart of gold. He was one of the few who could circulate between all groups at school and have friends in all of them, from Mary Jane Watson in the theater department to kids like Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara, who he was always with.
It was your niece’s 3rd birthday on saturday night, so Harry went to Peter’s by himself and you were supposed to meet him later. Except, when you got there, everything was pure chaos. You took your phone out of your purse to text Harry and Jess, realizing it had been in airplane mode for some reason. Once you deactivated it, several notifications popped up, from texts to social media tags. Feeling uneasy, you searched for your chat with Harry first. Nothing new since you texted him a few hours before. You then clicked on Jessica’s avatar.
J: I’m here babe let me know when you arrive
J: where r u??
J: come already that chick gwen is gonna dj soon
she is always goooood
J: call me when you can
J: pick uppp please
J: u still at home? don’t think it’s a good idea for u to come here
You: i’m here
You: jess whats happened
You: people are looking at me funny
J: meet me in the kitchen
“Harry was making out with a random girl”, Jess told you, holding your hands on hers. “He didn’t even try to hide it, they were in the garden, a lot of people saw them.”
You open your mouth, but the words failed to come out. Just an hour before you were trying on outfits, trying to decide which one your boyfriend would like more on you, and then this. Jess held your hands tighter.
“I’m so sorry, honey”, she said. “You deserve so much better than this…”
The two of you turned your heads, there were sounds of screams and things falling and breaking.
“No no no no no, please stop, guys, please”, you heard Peter B. pleading. Your heart tugged at his desperation.
People were joining the crowd, you and Jess followed. “What’s going on?”, she asked a guy next to them. “I think Osborn harassed the guy’s girlfriend or something”, he answered.
Standing on the tip of your toes, you saw Harry stumbling, clearly drunk or high, probably both, trying not to fall. “Fuck you, man, who do you think you are?”, he screamed at someone.
When you look at the other side, you couldn’t believe it. Of all people to fight with, Harry just had to mess with Miguel O’Hara, arguably the strongest guy from school. You met him in middle school and have taken several classes with him since. Miguel was known for keeping it to himself, but managed to have some close friends, like Gwen Stacy, Hobie Brown and Peter himself. He wasn’t anything like Harry and the other rich kids. Miguel would wear hoodies and basketball shirts, he was disorganized, always borrowing your pens during class, and every now and then would get in trouble.
But fighting? It didn’t seem like his thing, in spite of his size and strength. He was staring at Harry, looking more serious than ever.
“Huh? You think you are all that, motherfucker?”, Harry continued.
“Oh, honey”, Jess looked at you, worried. Her hand wiped away a few tears from your face. You didn’t even realize you were crying. Since you arrived at that house, your life turned into a nightmare sequence. “That’s it, we’re leaving.”
As she put her arm around your shoulders, the same guy who told Jess what the fight was about screamed: “Yo, Osborn, you coward! Making your girl cry!”.
More sounds from the crowd, your head spinning, heart breaking, you were feeling the tears now, they brought sobs too, how was that your life, why couldn’t you just wake up. Your eyes looked for Harry, he was steady, going in Miguel's direction. You looked at the latter. He was looking at you. His brown eyes wide, a crease on his forehead, mouth half parted. Somewhere in your head, you wondered if Harry had been able to hit him before you and Jess arrived. He looked like he was in a lot of pain.
Then a fist hit his face. Harry’s fist.
Peter, Hobie and a couple of other guys held Harry, and the crowd started screaming, Jess pulled you back to the kitchen, in the direction of the back door entrance.
You heard the music stopping and a voice, who sounded like Miles, on the microphone. “The party is over! Time to leave”, he said. People started booing him. “Y’all know my dad is a cop, right? Let’s give him a call, shall we?”
***
Harry got closer to you. Suddenly, his hand was on your cheek.
“Honey…”, he whispered.
How could a gesture you used to love trigger the alarms in your head? Instinctively, you took a step back.
“Harry.”
“No, hun, come on…”
“Harry.”
“Is this about the fight? If it is, you should k…”
“Harry, just listen, ok?”, you had planned so many scenarios in your head, yet, this was just coming to you naturally. “I know you cheated on me with a freshman.”
“Who told you that? It’s a bunch of l…”
“Jessica saw it. So many people saw it. Strangers were sending me pictures and videos of my boyfriend with someone else.”
“Honey…It wasn’t like that, I wasn’t thinking…”
“So, if I’m not right by your side, it’s like I don’t exist, right? You can do whatever you want”, you took a long breath. You were really doing this: “It’s over”.
“What do you mean it’s over? You’re giving up, just like this?”
“You gave me up when you kissed someone”, you let a sad chuckle out. “Not to mention the fight…I just can’t.”
“So you’re really ending this?”
“Yes.”
“You know there is no turning back, right?”, Harry had his hands on his hips, which, knowing him, meant he was pissed off.
You nodded.
“Well, I hope you really thought this through because no one is going to accept dealing with all your bullshit like I do.”
“My bullshit?”, you gasped.
“Anxiety, depression, all that bullshit”, he pointed at you. “The whole good girl act…only I know what you are really like. No one is going to want you.”
You just looked at him. You felt sad, confused and so angry. Because, although you knew it was a provocation, he did mention your worst fears. Being too much, ending up alone, unloved — you had been there.
What Harry didn’t consider is that you might have your insecurities, but you are also competitive and have a lot of pride. If hurting is what he wants, two can play this game. So you just stare at him with your arms crossed.
“Ms, class has already started”, your history teacher, Mr. Bloom, opened the classroom’s door and called you. He must have sensed there was something wrong, you have always been an A+ student and a great kid. The truth is you didn’t even realize how much time had passed.
“Yes, sir”, you walked around Harry and entered the classroom.
***
You arrived right on time for english class. Entering the room after a few classmates, you noticed the teacher, Mrs. White, was standing up, talking quietly with a student. She had a motherly aura, like she is irritated, but worried most of all.
“I’m sorry, but if you don’t apply yourself and get better grades, I can’t help you”, she said.
“I just don’t get it”, the student said. “Numbers…they come so easy to me, words, not so much.”
“We’re going to figure this out. Now go sit.”
Already at your desk, you saw when he turned. Miguel O’Hara. His cheek was a little swollen with a purple mark, a small token of Harry’s actions. You looked at him, but he did not look back at you, staring ahead and sitting in the back.
Then it dawned on you. An idea. A very good one.

Recap: Strangetown Round 5 (Summer) - part 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next is Martin Ruben, whose dream of becoming one of Strangetown's mad scientists is shattered when he's fired on his very first day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But he recovers quickly, finding a new job in game development, reading a few self help books, making a friend a work and buysing himself a ZX Spectrum. He even adopts a cat, Bailey!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
He ends up going on a pretty sucessful date with Sadie, an agressive (and a little socially awkward) sorority girl he met back at college.
Tumblr media
Then it's time for the Giekes - Chester Gieke, his wife Bianca, their daughter Giorgia and her best friend Kent Capp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kent gives his niece, Hermia, some friendly advice about being true to yourself.
Tumblr media
They get a little mad-science lab-garage! Bianca finally has room for the culinary career reward (which I am pretending Chester built for her).
Tumblr media
To Capp off the round, Bianca goes out for an interesting meal with Albanny Capp, who apparently wants to discuss a plan to end the feud...
Tumblr media
Now it was time to check in with the Smiths! The Smith household has been quiet, this summer. With Julia at summer camp, Jill at college, Johnny moved in with Ophelia, and PT#9 gone… the house is feeling emptier and emptier.
Tumblr media
Jess is set to become a teenager this season, and Jenny has to admit she’s dreading it. Still, the two of them make the best of things.
Tumblr media
They have plenty of phone-calls with Julia while she's at camp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And plenty of dinners with family & friends! Don is a friend of Jenny's from work, and he brings along Bella, who's eager to talk about the ghosts she senses...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jess meets PT9's ghost, too! But she's nervous about talking to Jenny about it, so confides in cousin Tycho.
Tumblr media
(She also meets her bestie Xander Roth at an outing Downtown, and it was so cute I had to include it.)
Tumblr media
Jess grows into a knowledge sim - all too common in her family but pretty fitting, I think! She likes boys but prefers fancy boys. Boys with a good sense of hygine (uncommon for teenagers, lmao), maybe some cologne, maybe some jewelry.
Her traits now are childish, supernatual fan, cat lover, and the newly-aquired eco-friendly! I like the idea of her love of animals (well, cats) turning her into a little environmentalist.
Her one true hobby is games and she’s a taurus. Oh, and the Lifetime want is to become a World-Class Ballet Dancer! I think that’s perfect for a whimsical romantic like her :D (and she did prance around in that pink princess dress for most of her childhood, haha)
Tumblr media
She and the other Strangetown Teens go on a little outing together downtown.
Tumblr media
Johnny & Ophelia come over for a visit, and Jenny gives Ophelia some old baby stuff... (which they'll be needing sooner than they thought!)

Note
Jess is probably still in New York « for her false work as co-founder and executive producer of Ice Studio », because if Jess was in Atlanta with Jamie to obviously pretend to support him and to draw attention to herself as she used to do for 2 and a half years, she would not have wasted time posting a photo or video on IG.
We have known since the summer of 2021 that Jess exists (thanks to Jamie of course and not thanks to her work as a talent agent businesswoman or professional model), she did everything to become famous and rich using Jamie (knowing that she comes from a rich family, but apparently her family life did not suit her).
So the Jess stans say they’ve seen her, but they are stupid and they like to get noticed like her for nothing, because they know very well that no matter where she goes with Jamie this 36-year-old woman (she acts like a teenager) lets everyone know that she is with Jamie by posting photos or videos on IG.
I noticed that despite the fact that she returned to New York « to manage her business and help Renell », she posed with Quill and Renell at that party, she posted the photo on IG to make everyone believe that she worked hard like them (even if she will never make up for the management of her company, because she traveled for 2 and a half years with Jamie) and despite all this, she continues to lose her followers on IG unlike her coworkers and friends (Renell and Quill).
Even Jamie has not liked or commented on any of Jess’s IG posts since she works in New York (knowing that Jess is still his partner) and her stans should have a good explanation for the fact that Jamie has not congratulated his partner since début October « for her hard work ».
There's really no way to know where Jess is right now. The last time we know for sure that she and Jamie were in the same place was four months ago. The last time we know she was at his house (probably without him there) was in August. So, it’s been about four months since there’s been solid proof they were around each other (even though he didn’t take a picture with her or share anything), and almost two months since we've seen her at his house. She could be living in New York now, maybe crashing with Renell, or she could be back at Jamie’s place, refusing to leave.
Jess has never been shy about posting whenever she’s with Jamie. Even if it wasn’t a direct picture of him, she’d make sure to show she’s in the same spot, so people know. She didn’t just stop doing that because of "the hate" the stans talk about. If she’s with Jamie, she finds a way to let everyone know, even if he clearly doesn’t want her posting pictures with him.
This whole year, aside from that one surfing picture (which might be old), there’s been nothing of them together in any photo as a couple. They went on that hike, and yeah, she was with him, but he still didn’t show up in her pictures, which definitely makes it seem like he’s not interested in being on her social media. If their relationship’s so great, why is he acting like she doesn’t exist? Why isn’t he answering personal questions at conventions anymore? Why won’t he even say her name? And now, with Jess’s "company" shutting down (or looking like it is since she didn’t file the paperwork), what does that say? Why would her business suddenly close down when it looks like they might’ve broken up, and people are speculating Jamie was the one keeping it afloat?
The stans are always going to hold on to their delusions until there’s clear confirmation, but it feels like the writing’s on the wall. I think the real sign will be next month—if she’s not at his birthday, front and center, glued to her phone instead of paying attention to him, then we can probably say she’s not a big part of his life anymore.
