Does the JL know that YJ has just casually been beefing with darkseid??

imagine there’s a all hands on deck battle against darkseid and everyone is there but darkseid points out the nearest yj member (it’s probably Bart) like ‘you!!! You managed to escape with your lives last time but this meeting will be our last’ and for a split second Clark’s so fucking confused bc we haven’t fought in years wtf are you talking about then he hears ‘oh shit, look it’s Doug’ and everyone turns to see Bart nudging Kon going ‘he’s talking to you…damn he must still be mad about the coal’ and kons shoving him back bc ‘you were the one fucking around with his coal, you fucking walnut’ while Cassie’s being scruffed by wonder woman bc they’re trying to avoid being around when the jl finds out and tims having a very intense silent conversation lecture about why tf there’s at least half a dozen yj mission reports that mention an assailant named ‘Doug’ 

then Constantine shows up with Greta and everyone (including darkseid) starts yelling and if you don’t know her Greta seems like the one with the ownership of the braincell in yj (she is not but I guess she looks like it from a distance if you squint) which goes one of two ways:

retired-civilian!greta is giggling and waving excitedly to each member of yj along with hal before she practically tackles each of them in a tight hug while the titans, jl, & jl: dark lose their collective shit bc Constantine brought a tiny civilian dressed in pastel floral prints from head to toe into an active battle with fucking darkseid, a civilian who doesn’t register as a threat in any capacity until she makes eye contact with darkseid and gives him the most disgusted look imaginable “Doug… you look…well.” and then like three jl members have to stop her from leaping at darkseid while Hal’s like ‘no! No no, bad Greta! We don’t fight supervillains with…what is that?? I really fucking hope that’s not a gun…Is-is that fucking silly string?! Greta no we don’t silly string supervillains! We’ve talked about this!’

or

never-retired!/recently-out-of-retirement!greta who does the same thing but when she notices darkseid she rocks his shit in eight seconds flat and starts muttering about ‘that fucking Doug, always ruining my goddamn day’ and Hal is the first one to recover from the shock/confusion but only to tell Greta she’s grounded which gets another irritated ‘fucking doug!’ while Wally and Barry are losing it at Mach 6 while Bart tries to explain himself also at Mach 6, Cassie manages to catch Wally’s exasperated ‘where the fuck did you get Doug from?!’ And responds with ‘Apokolips’ in a tone that means they’re questioning his intelligence which leads to more screaming bc ‘so you knew who he was?? Why didn’t you come to us??’ and they all back up Kon when he claims they told Lex bc that means they have at least 3 hours of freedom while Lex is getting yelled at by the jl (and honestly every cape over 24)

I have an urge to draw Gideon again but like. Better, this time. And with hair I can actually draw. Like, maybe if it was longer. And put into a low ponytail or something. And actually try harder with his facial hair. And jewelry (like horn caps and earrings), because I like drawing that kinda thing (if it wasn’t obvious considering that 99% of the characters I draw tend to have jewelry of some kind—usually earrings)

I also have an urge to draw Shepherd again. But better. And without shitty facial hair (he looks so goofy with the facial hair I gave him 😭😭😭). And maybe some silver horn caps. Or perhaps one silver horn cap and one gold horn cap. With flame designs on both. Bc dragons. And I’ll just claim that Sarnax gave them to him bc that lizards love language is gift giving goddammit.

But like hypothetically if I decided to make a series of YouTube video breaking down and rambling about how I think the first year trio encompass the full gradient scale of what it means to be “morally good” and how by the end of the series they have grown exponentially but their moral inner workings are so entrenched in who they are they never needed to change they just became more of who they already were.

Because initially Yuuji wants to save the world in that abstract way all heroes do, Megumi is only interested in saving those he can save and Nobara is only interested in those she wants to save. And all these are treated as morally valid by the narrative and not really flaws in need of changing but instead philosophies in need of refining and understanding.

Because Jujutsu Society as a whole encourages and thrives off a moral apathy or superiority, they are in the business of killing curses not saving lives and that ultimately raises the question of if you’re going out there everyday killing curses and inadvertently saving lives does it really matter the reason why? Or the morality behind it? Maybe not to you but to the society, maybe.

So anyway, hypothetically ….would you be hypothetically interested👀

WIP Wednesday 🏥

My brain is still taking a vacation after the mammoth that is Rival Firefighters 🚒 (she’s 85K people), but here’s a little something I’ve been very slowly chipping away at from LA Lonely 🏙 (it’s rough and from the notes app on my phone sooo please be kind 😅)

They’ve just handed off a teenager with a TB fracture after a failed attempt at parkour, when Eddie sweeps through the ER doors making a beeline for the nurses station.

He looks harried, his posture rigid and tense, tripping the alarm bells in Buck’s head, their siren sounding out Chris Chris Chris.

“Hey Bobby, can you give me a minute?” he hooks his thumb over his shoulder towards Eddie and some of his worry must be bleeding through because Bobby’s brow furrows in concern before he gives Buck a nod. “Thanks Cap.”

Buck jogs over to Eddie who is tapping his fingers restlessly against the counter of the nurses station.

“Eddie!”

Eddie startles and turns to face him. “Buck?”

“Are you okay? Is Chris —“

“Chris and I are fine.” Eddie reassures him and Buck feels his next breath come easier with the weight of fear no longer crushing his chest. Eddie runs a hand through his hair, his shoulders dropping with a shaky exhale. “My Abuela fell while watching Chris. I’ve been trying to get some kind of support for him, but there’s so much red tape and Abuela insisted she was fine watching him. I should’ve put my foot down and told her no, figured something else out.”

“Hey,” Buck places a hand on Eddie’s shoulder, ducking his head to catch Eddie’s eyes, “this isn’t your fault.”

“Then why does it feel like it is?”

There’s so much guilt swimming in Eddie’s eyes and Buck wishes he had the right words to say to alleviate some of it.

Holt as a nurse in a hospital and Wanze having a serious injury and being her patient with the two of them eventually falling in love after Wanze recovers (they get to have more fun together here thanks to no Eusan Nation), only for Holt to later on get cancer and not be able to recover from it :(

Kosmos and Dorredt as astronauts on a space station going from reluctant coworkers to best friends with Kosmos being more data/science oriented and Dorredt taking care of maintenance and repairs

I also have one with Feuerkröte as a military dropout but I don’t have a whole lot else apart from she has fire tattoos on her arms because she thought they were badass (they are but she kinda sucks about it)
