"You sure you need me today, Wayne? It's like, 700 degrees out." Eddie simply did not care enough to conceal the whining tone in his voice, already feeling the way his clothes stuck to his skin.
"Stop complaining and be grateful you got a job at all, kid." Wayne tossed over his shoulder, used to Eddie's constant chatter by now.
"No, of course, yeah, yeah, but you see this? The soles of my shoes are melting into the pavement," Eddie clumsily put his foot in the air - soles completely intact - to show Wayne, who did not turn around.
Slightly begrudged, Eddie continued his sulking pace. Not that he really minded his job, after all.
"Remember," Wayne said as he pushed the big doors to the garage open, "I need you to be on your best behaviour today. No antics, you get me?"
"Oh I got you," Eddie quips absentmindedly, too taken aback by the legion of vintage cars that awaited them. "These are all property of your supposed childhood friend? What is he? A mob boss or something?"
Wayne rolled his eyes, "Just a businessman, Eddie, and I mean it, no standing around either, he's been a customer for almost twenty years now, and I'd like to keep it that way. I even held his daughter when she was a baby, this is not someone you want to disappoint."
But Eddie was lost in the shiny contours of the expensive cars, trying to calculate just how much cash was gathered in this room alone.
"Oh and make sure to keep an eye out for the neighbourhood kids, they like to sneak looks inside, so don't let them in, understand?" Wayne got no answer, "Eddie?"
"Yeah, yeah, let no one in, I'm not a toddler you leave home alone for the first time I'll be fine." He waved Wayne away, perusing through the rows of cars.
⋆⭒˚.⋆ ⋆⭒˚.⋆
Half way through the day, the first kids popped up at the large doors. At first Eddie just heard giggles, then whispers, then he saw three little heads poke through the doorway, eyes twinkling in the bright sunlight.
"No, nu-uh, out, you three!" He felt like an old man yelling for children to get off his lawn. But it worked, the kids scurried away again, giggling and screeching in the process.
Eddie wiped the sweat off his brow, again, as he had done every ten minutes since he had gotten here. He was eternally grateful for the faint breeze every once in a while, but the white tank top he was donning was - besides smeared with oil - now also almost drenched. Great. Just as he was about to bend back over the 1957 Porsche, he heard more footsteps approaching. Wayne had left to go get them some lunch in the supermarket down the street, leaving Eddie to deal with the greedy little onlookers all on his own, but he was getting tired of scaring them away.
"Just go already! How many more times do I-" his tirade halted when he turned around to find you. Huh, he thought, okay, not the normal crowd, but he wasn't one to judge. "Um, sorry, you can't be in here."
You cocked your head at him, cherry lollypop between your lips, your summer dress faintly blowing in the wind. "I can't?"
Eddie was somewhat taken aback. "This is private property" was his lame response, which even sounded unconvincing to his own ears.
"Is that so?" you replied idly, stalking forward and running your fingers over the hood of one of the cars.
Eddie surged forward, "Hey! You can't just-" he grabbed your wrist, not hard, just to keep you away from the precious cars left in his care. All you did was smile up at him, completely unbothered.
Eddie was stunned, like all the files in his mind had been corrupted, and in pure desperation threw it back onto the old guy lecturing kids, "Listen here, missy," (missy, really, Eddie?) "You can't just barge in here, okay? I'm gonna need to ask you to leave, respectfully."
The cheshire cat grin on your face only grew at his words, "Ooh, respectfully? Well, if you ask so nicely…" Your tone was teasing, all drawn-out and suspiciously sweet. "I guess I'll see you around, then…"
"Eddie," he supplied, partly against his better judgement.
"See ya, Eddie." And then you were gone.
⋆⭒˚.⋆ ⋆⭒˚.⋆
"Wayne, I already know what you're going to say, but can I test-drive one of these babies?" Eddie harboured no hopes that the answer would be yes - ever - but daydreaming never hurt anyone.
All he got back from his uncle was a deadpan stare and a raised brow.
"Right, right."
I was the next day, still doing check-ups on the cars, whose drivers' seats seemed to glint alluringly at him every time he popped their hoods.
"Did I tell you about that girl who came by yesterday? That was weird,"
"Eddie. You've told me several times now, I think I get it." Wayne was changing the oil on one of the Ferrari's, wondering for the umpteenth time why, again, he had hired his own nephew?
"Oh, right. Right." Eddie couldn't seem to get you out of his head, the way you had been so unfazed, your eyes trained on him the whole time, there was an undeniable pull towards the idea of you. See you around, you had said. Faintly, somewhere, Eddie hoped it was true.
And it was.
Around noon, once again, you appeared in the door opening, this time with a different coloured lollypop and a dog circling your feet. Eddie took in the sight of you, radiant in the contrasting light of the doorway, but it wasn't him you were looking at.
"Mister Munson!" you exclaimed, a bright, honest smile taking over your features.
"Sweetheart, hey, how you been?" Wayne wiped his hands on a rag and came over to you, smiling almost affectionately.
"Not too bad, just making sure I don't melt, you know, in this weather. How about you? I see you brought help this year?"
"I'm good, honey, thanks, yeah, this is my nephew, Eddie." he gestured vaguely in Eddie's direction.
"Nice to meet you, Eddie," your smile was coy and well-practiced, with a glint of mischief behind your eyes that Wayne didn't seem to notice at all when he tumbled into a slew of questions, keeping you entertained.
"Tell me, how's your father, how are you finding college? Are you home all summer?"
Eddie was gobsmacked. Could it be that he had commanded you to leave your own garage? Your own house? Oh how he wished the floor would grow teeth and swallow him right about now. Instead, he busied himself with polishing the same mirror roughly eleven times over, not so subtly eavesdropping on your conversation.
"So, I'll be heading off now, gotta take this one out for a walk," you scratched the dog behind her ear, "See you later, Mr. Munson," you looked over your shoulder, smiling sweetly "and bye, Eddie." All Eddie could muster was an impressively fake smile until you rounded the corner.
"Wayne!!" Eddie exclaimed, throwing his dirty rag at his uncle, "what the fuck??"
"Hey!" Wayne scrambled to swat the rag away, "what now-"
"That's the girl! The girl that came by! The girl that I sent away!"
Wayne could hardly suppress his smile, "You sent the daughter of the owner away? Nice, Ed, real classy."
Eddie raised his hands in desperation, "You said his daughter was a baby!"
"Boy, I said I held her as a baby! Years ago! That's what you get for never listening to me," Wayne snickered.
Eddie groaned, burying his face in his hands. "I called her missy."
At that, Wayne couldn't help but properly burst out laughing, "Missy?! Well, you have only yourself for that one, don't ya?" This earned him another rag to his face.
⋆⭒˚.⋆ ⋆⭒˚.⋆
That afternoon, heat almost unbearable in the garage, Wayne had a plan.
"Eddie, fetch some water, will ya?"
"Water, from where? The store?"
"Nope," Wayne answered, barely looking up from the screw he was fastening, "the kitchen."
Eddie stood up straight, "The kitchen? You're kidding me."
"Nope."
"Why do you want to punish me, Wayne?"
"Boy, it's just some water, go fetch."
"I'm not a dog," Eddie mumbled as he wiped his hands and attempted to fix his untamed curls in the reflection of one of the windows. He stalked out of the garage and rounded the corner into your backyard. They had been given permission to help themselves to anything they needed, but normally Eddie made Wayde grab him stuff. Not that he was scared of you, or anything.
He climbed up the steps to your backdoor, looking down at his oil-smeared outfit that clashed starkly with the light blue kitchen tiles coming into view. If he was lucky, he would be in and out before anyone noticed him. He just had to find the cabinet you kept your cups in and get some water and he'd be a free man. Only, which cabinet?
This kitchen was about seven times as big as his own, with about seven times as many cabinets, which made the guess, somewhat… impossible. So he started opening doors, and shutting them as silently as possible after the so manieth cupboard of only decorative plates. (How many decorative plates could one family need?)
He was almost getting desperate, nearing the end of the row of doors, thinking maybe fancy people didn't use cups? Until he finally found them, shiny and sparkling. He grabbed the first one he saw, finally turning around towards the tap and-
"Jesus- oh my god, what the-" You were smiling at him from the other side of the room, languidly draped against the doorframe.
You cleared your throat, putting on fake wide eyes, "Um, sorry, you can't be in here."
"I, um, I just needed to get some wat-" he barely managed.
"This is private property" you mocked, a smile seeping through your tone. The twinkle in your eyes was what finally betrayed your agenda to him.
"Ahh, ha ha, real clever, I get it." he turned the glass over in his hands, trying to will his nerves away.
"Took you long enough," you chirped, pushing yourself off the doorpost and strolling towards him. "Thirsty?"
"Yeah, um, no, it's, it's for Wayne," could he sound any more like a middle schooler that got caught red-handed?
"Aah, then you'd want this," you said, pulling open the doors of your giant refrigerator and producing a bottle of sparkling water, "he likes this one the best."
Eddie had never seen the drink before, probably too fancy to keep around in the trailer, "Thanks," he mumbled, taking the blue bottle from you.
"No worries," you started backing away into the doorframe you had come from again, while Eddie grew faintly more aware of a feeling blooming in his chest that somehow wanted you to stay. "Just, yell if you need anything else, alright?"
And then you were gone. Again. The smile on your lips lingered in Eddie's mind for longer than he'd care to admit.
⋆⭒˚.⋆ ⋆⭒˚.⋆
The next day, Eddie was determined to strike up a real conversation with you. Preferably one where he didn't scold you like a mean teacher or came off extremely clueless, if possible. But the day rolled by, and no sign of you. He even volunteered to get more water in the kitchen, hoping to run into you, but to no avail.
He had all but lost hope, until he spotted you in the garden. You were sitting at the far end, reading a book at a picnic table underneath a wooden arch covered in flowers. You were a vision, in your short shorts and the soft sunlight on your face, you could have stepped into any of those mushy romance movies Eddie pretended not to like.
"Hey, Wayne, you go ahead and leave without me, alright?" Eddie said, hoping to sound casual.
Wayne glanced up from packing his things, inquisitively at first, but then he spotted you. "Sure, kid. Just one word of advice-"
Eddie groaned in anticipation of the words to come.
"Don't call her missy, alright?" a grin taking over his face.
"Yeah, yeah, thanks, I'll try for sure." Eddie rushed away from his uncle, checking his appearance one more time in one the windows of a particularly shiny Mustang. He looked like he just worked an entire day in unbearable heat, which he did, so at least that checked out, but it would have to do. He slowed his walk, tried his best for casual, and strolled up to you in your large, well-kept garden.
"Hey there," he said, alerting you of his presence, and slid onto the bench opposite you.
You looked up from your book, not startled at all, Eddie noted, and smiled at him, "Hi."
Eddie smiled back, already scrambling for words, swallowing hard at the sight of you, framed inside a border of roses.
But conversation seemed to come easily to you. "So, which of the cars have you been dreaming of stealing the most?"
Eddie let out a surprised laugh at that.
"I bet it was the red Porsche, or the Black Corvette?" You raised your eyebrow, "or are you more of a convertible type, Eddie?"
"Aah, you got me," he threw his hands up in surrender.
"Hmh, then I bet you'd like, the dark green one," you snapped your fingers, "the uh, um, what's it called?"
"The 1955 Ford Thunderbird, with the 312 cubic inch Y-block V8 motor," Eddie blurted out, too enamoured with the car to curb his enthusiasm.
"That's right," your smile widened, "See, I got you all figured out."
Oh, Eddie was in looooveee. And very much unable to play anything cool, ever, though he was willing to die trying. "And you? Any favourites you'd run away with?"
"Oh, I'm not really a car kinda girl, only really know what my dad tells me about them."
"Oh really? But I bet you have a favourite, right?" He was trying to throw all of his charm in the ring.
"Hmm," you pondered his question, "I guess I have a soft sport for the Porsche, the light blue one?"
"The 911 T? Good choice, good choice, a lady with taste."
You laughed at that, "Yeah, you know how cars kind of have a face?"
"I, um, I can't say I do?" but he was intrigued by where this was going.
"Yeah you do, the headlights are the eyes, the bumper is the mouth, and that one just looks, kind? I don't know," your laugh was getting bashful now, almost shy, "Maybe I'm talking nonsense."
"No! No, I see it, sure, you're right, even, very friendly car. Real sweetheart." You swatted at his arm, only making his lopsided grin more fond. "No, I mean it, didn't even give me any trouble during its check-up."
"Isn't it exhausting, all these long days in this heat?" You asked.
"Eh," Eddie waved his fingers, "had better days, but it's alright, honest work, you know."
You nodded, "Seems like hard work… you must be tired." Your eyes were flicking over his body now, but your smile remained kind and compassionate.
"I mean, well, yeah, kinda…" Eddie was slowly getting flustered by your attention.
"Working with your hands all day, can't be easy…" you trailed off, fidgeting with the edge of your book, "You know, I admire that, the craft, I mean." You slowly stood up, abandoning your book and walking around the table.
Eddie swallowed hard, trying to stay cool and collected, as he couldn't tell where this was going for the life of him.
You came to a halt behind Eddie, still musing aloud, "Not afraid to get your hands dirty, and, you have to be quite strong… right?"
You trailed your fingertips over his exposed upper arm, just like how you had done to the car a few days ago, but this time, Eddie didn't stop you. Instead, he inhaled sharply, tracking your movements with his eyes.
"Right, Eddie? I bet you're really strong, carrying all those things, lifting the tires…" You bent down, your face nearing his ear, to whisper, "I bet you work really hard, Eddie, and I think- " your lips grazed the shell of his ear and Eddie thought he might faint on the spot, "I think you deserve a reward for that."
Eddie felt a shiver run down his spine at your words, his eyelids fluttering to stay open. Your hands were on his shoulders now, while your lips dragged over the hot skin of his neck. Sparks ignited all over his body upon the soft contact, rendering him speechless.
"Right, Eddie? Don't you think you deserve to be spoiled a little? For all your hard work?" You planted small kisses all over his neck, and when his head tipped back - involuntarily - you moved on to the column of his throat. Not satisfied with his lack of response, you purred his name again, "Eddie?", which poured oil on the flames igniting in his belly.
"Y- yeah, I do." His voice was hoarse, even to his own ears.
You smiled against his skin, satisfied with his reply, "That's right, so do you want me to take care of you, Eddie? Spoil you? Hmm?" Your voice was velvet to the touch, the words curling around him in an intoxicating spiral.
"Yeah, yeah, I- I do," his mumbling was interrupted by a low groan that left his throat as you planted hot, open mouthed kisses on his jaw. He was pretty sure he was in heaven.
"Turn around then," was all you said, and Eddie couldn't obey you any faster, swinging his legs over the bench to face you, no doubt red-cheeked and with dazed eyes. And you, you were a vision. So innocent looking, just standing there with your sweet smile and your gorgeous legs, looking at him, of all people.
Then, you slowly, ever so slowly, got on your knees in front of him. And oh god. Eddie thought he might lose it, might wake up from this daydream, might get told this was all a cruel joke, but the way you held his eyes as you sank down, this was his ultimate wet dream come true right before his eyes. He swallowed, by lack of anything else to do, as 'casual' had gone out the window a long time ago.
You looked so pretty sitting in between his spread legs, Eddie almost felt the need to stop you right there and ask to take a picture. But he didn't, because you were reaching your hands up to his belt now, carefully unbuckling it. The metal sounds of the clasps sounded out of place between the twittering birds in your garden, but Eddie couldn't care less, so entirely enveloped by your gentle stare and careful hands.
"May I, Eddie?" you asked, voice still as sweet as ever.
All he could do was nod, vigorously, and lift his hips to help you slide his jeans down his legs. He was hard. Of course he was, who could blame him? He had been living out his own personal wildest fantasies for the last ten minutes.
His breath hitched once more when your lips got closer to his length, but instead you attacked his thighs, planting sweet, soft kisses on the pale skin there. You were driving him wild, insane, mad, deranged, you name it. All of it the work of your plush lips on his skin.
Suddenly, a clear thought made its way through the fog in his brain "W- what about your parents?" There was a clear wobble to his voice, but he was under strict instructions from Wayne not to screw this up.
You laughed a little, maybe at his question, maybe at his disheleveld state, "Out of town, Eddie, don't worry."
"Oh," he swallowed thickly, "right, yeah. Neighbours?"
"What neighbours?" you giggled, as indeed, your house was located far away from the rest of the town.
"Right, right," he couldn't think straight with your lips so close to his aching dick that was straining his boxers by now.
You smoothed your hands up and down his legs, "Relax, Eddie, lay back, let me take care of you, yeah?"
"Yeah, yeah…" he tried to chill, but the mix of nerves, butterflies and arousal in his stomach was a hard one to swallow. All of his efforts, though, went completely out the window as soon as you grabbed his dick through the fabric. A sinful, drawn out moan immediately escaped his lips upon the first experimental stroke you gave.
You giggled quietly, a matching heat catching on your cheeks as you leaned forwards and licked his leaking tip through his boxers. Another sound escaped him, and he was sure by now his mouth was hanging open, bewitched by the (un)holy sight before him.
"You like that, Eddie?" you purred, slowly working his dick over.
"Y- yeah, oh fuck, yeah."
"Good," you said as you finally hooked your fingers behind the waistband, pulling his boxers down. "Be as loud as you want, by the way, I think it's really hot."
The compliment, paired with the casual way you said it, made the burn on Eddie's cheeks even brighter, the blush now creeping down his chest as well. You looked absolutely angelic, and yet absolutely sinful, the way your beautiful face was framed between his thighs now, and your delicate hand wrapped around his dick.
When you licked up his shaft for the first time, fire sparked right through his entire body, igniting something stronger, deeper, than he had ever felt before. Your tongue wrapped around his head next, while it glided between your soft, plush lips. Eddie was so gone, groaning in pleasure with every stroke.
You worked up a steady rhythm, your mouth as warm and intoxicating as your touch. The way you looked up at him, all innocent and pretty, made Eddie's insides swoop, drawing a high-pitched whine from his which he didn't know he was capable of.
His eyes wanted to roll back into his skull, but he fought to keep them open, not wanting to miss a single second. He carefully weaved his fingers through your hair, not so much steering you as just going along with your movements, craving more contact. "This okay?" he asked, voice raspy and deep.
You hummed around his dick, sending shivers of pleasure through Eddie's body. He was sure you'd be the death of him.
Eddie was getting closer, though he tried to hold off from finishing for as long as possible, both to save his ego and to savour every last second of this moment. But your skilled movements and honestly just the mere sight of you kneeled between his legs alone made it extremely hard on him.
His moans became breathier, and he knew that he was getting close. His heart was pounding in his chest, the muscles in his abdomen were flexing tight, and pleasure was clouding his brain to the point that the only thing that existed in the whole universe for him were you, and the way you looked, and felt around him.
"Fuck, fuck, sweetheart," he moaned the words rather than said them, "Oh, fuck, I'm so- so close." But you didn't stop. On the contrary, you kept going, even faster, sucking the head exactly the way he liked it. "Oh god, jesus, fuck," all kinds of profanities tumbled from his lips, feeling his high rapidly approaching. You looked up at him one final time, your big eyes locking onto his, and that's what did him in.
His orgasm crashed over him in burning, white- hot waves of pleasure, making him moan out your name over and over as he finished. His hands were still in your hair, feeling the way you carefully worked him through his high. When he opened his eyes again, he saw you wipe your mouth, a satisfied smile on your face.
Eddie was still beyond dishevelled, completely out of it, you name it. He watched you with wide eyes and pink cheeks as he caught his breath, still half in disbelief about what just happened.
You licked your lips, still kneeling before him, "Was that good?"
"Good? Good?" (Eddie's brain had stopped working like half an hour ago) "Sweetheart, 'good' would be the understatement of the century." He brushed your hair behind your ear, "That was, fuck, that was like, the best moment of my life."
You laughed at that, finally standing up and dusting off your knees, "Ah, don't flatter me, Munson." Your smile was bright and warm, and Eddie found himself in deep, deep trouble.

I need another Thornton!reader PLS
Eight-ball || Rafe Cameron x Thornton!reader

A/n: I was rewatching Topgun Maverick and got inspired by that one scene between phoenix and rooster at the very beginning of the movie when they were playing pool lol
Warnings: none
Word count: 1,015
MASTERLIST (Rafe x Thornton!reader au masterlist)
The music was already thudding through your house like a heartbeat, but you couldn’t care less. You were still pissed. You didn’t even remember how the argument started—something stupid, like most of them. You’d told him not to be late. He had rolled his eyes.
You said you were tired of waiting around like some puppy. He called you dramatic, then you snapped something back that made his jaw lock. Rafe hadn’t spoken a word on the drive over, and when he’d gone to open your door like he always did, you’d already stepped out without him.
Now here you were, halfway through your second drink, cue in hand and focused on the pool table like it was the only thing in the world worth caring about. He watched you from across the room, standing near Kelce and some others, but his blue eyes were locked on you like you were a loaded gun.
He knew that look on your face. He’d put it there more than once—lips tight, chin tilted, fire simmering just beneath the polished surface. You were in one of your party dresses: black, satin, short. One of his favorites. Which only pissed you off more. The balls scattered with a satisfying crack as you broke.
You leaned over again, lining up your next shot. You could feel his gaze slide down the line of your back, heavy and annoyed and possessive all at once. He finally approached, beer still in hand. “You’re really not gonna talk to me?” Rafe asked, his voice low, just for you. You didn’t look at him.
Just chalked the cue slowly, like you had all the time in the world. “Not tonight,” you muttered, eyes locked on the eight ball like it owed you something. Rafe stood on the other side of the table, jaw ticking, watching the way your lips barely moved. The kind of control you had when you were angry was ten times more dangerous than when you yelled.
“You look hot when you’re mad,” he said. Still, you said nothing. You leaned over for your next shot, the hem of your dress riding just enough to make his mouth twitch—and as you lined up the cue, you accidentally (but not really) jabbed the stick directly into his abdomen. Hard.
He grunted, staggering back slightly. “Fuck—” You straightened up, cool and elegant, as if nothing had happened. “Oops.” He narrowed his eyes at you, stepping closer now, dropping the act. “You did that on purpose.” You gave him a saccharine smile. “Maybe I just don’t like people crowding my shot.”
He exhaled through his nose. His smile was slow and dangerous, like a fuse that had just been lit. “You gonna keep playing games, or you wanna actually talk to me like a grown-up?” “Oh, now you want to talk?” You sank another ball—solid. Your side. “Where was that energy earlier, huh? When I was waiting for you for almost an hour?”
Rafe ran a hand through his hair, trying to stay calm. “I told you—my dad was at the office—” “You could’ve called. You should’ve called. But no, because God forbid Rafe Cameron act like someone who gives a damn about anyone but himself.” That one hit. You could tell.
He didn’t answer, just walked over and snatched the cue out of your hand, throwing it onto the felt. You glared at him, shocked. “You think I don’t give a damn about you?” he growled, low. “Are you serious right now?” You stepped toward him, toe to toe. “You’re damn right I do.”
Rafe’s jaw clenched, eyes dragging down your face, your lips, your chest rising and falling in quick, angry breaths. “You drive me insane, you know that?” “Right back at you, babe.” There was a charged pause. Then his fingers closed around your wrist.
“We’re not doing this here,” he muttered. You raised a brow. “No? Where, then? Upstairs? So you can pretend like everything’s fine just because I let you fuck it out of me?” His grip tightened for half a second, eyes dark
“Tempting,” he rasped, stepping in so close you could feel his breath, “but I’d rather you stop pretending I don’t give a shit—when you’re the only thing I’ve ever given a fuck about.” And just like that, the heat between you changed. Still fire, but a different kind. The kind that always got the better of both of you.
You tilted your head, lashes low as you gave him a cool, practiced smile. “Then maybe next time… show up.”You patted his chest twice—light, dismissive, the way someone might soothe a misbehaving dog—and turned without another word.
Drink in hand, hips swaying, you walked off—leaving Rafe standing there, jaw clenched, fists flexing at his sides, eyes glued to your back like he couldn’t decide whether to kiss you breathless or drag you into the nearest room and tear that damn dress in half. Spoiler: he’d probably do both.

— ✩♬ ₊˚. call it the end ⭑ D.A

˚⟡˖⋆ synopsis it’s been months since the livestream that altered your relationship with daniela and the members take matters into their own hands to rekindle your guys’ relationship.
disclaimer: pt3 of “you get me so high” (fluff version), slight angst, fluff, here’s pt2 - angst version see…sorta inspired by parent trap but i actually cannot remember that movie for the life of me so it might actually not be…inspired by parent trap 😭😭😭
currently playing: call it the end - rosé

the fallout isn’t loud.
you don’t scream. you don’t block her. you just stop giving her pieces of yourself.
you stop waiting for her texts. you start sitting farther away in rehearsals. you leave before she can find you backstage.
you stop looking at her like you’re still hoping she’ll choose you.
and she notices.
it’s in the way her voice wavers during vocal runs when you don’t meet her eyes. in the way she stays behind after practices, watching you walk out of the room without turning back. in the way her laugh rings hollow now, like she’s trying to convince herself she’s still happy.
the others notice too.
manon sees it first. she’s always watching.
lara sees it in your posture.
sophia’s the one who says it out loud, during a late-night takeout run when the three of them are waiting for their orders.
“okay,” she says, staring at the pickup counter. “is it just me or do they both look, like, dead inside?”
“it’s not just you,” lara sighs. “i heard crying in the bathroom after rehearsal two days ago. don’t know which one it was, but...”
manon peels the wrapper off her straw. “it’s both of them. they’re just miserable in shifts.”
“you’d think after all this time they’d get over themselves and talk,” sophia mutters.
“they’re not gonna,” manon says. “not unless we do something.”
lara raises an eyebrow. “like what?”
manon shrugs. “i dunno. trap them in a room until they work their shit out?”
sophia looks way too into the idea. “no wait…seriously. like... do it old-school. lock the door. no one leaves until someone cries.”
manon glances at lara, who’s already nodding. “they’re useless. it’s time.”
—
they do it after practice.
manon times it perfectly. she pulls dani aside and says, “hey, can you grab my jacket in the second vocal room?” sophia asks you to check for her phone charger in the same place. lara pretends she forgot her speaker.
you both walk in, separately, at almost the same moment.
you freeze when you see her.
she freezes when she sees you.
then the door slams shut behind you. click.
locked.
you whip around. “what the-?”
manon’s voice is heard from the other side. “you’re welcome!” “we’ll be back in an hour!” you hear sophia yell out, followed by lara. “don’t kill each other!”
then silence.
daniela is sitting on the edge of the platform riser. she looks like she hasn’t slept in a week. you stand by the wall, arms crossed, heart pounding in your ears.
at first, neither of you say anything. the air is thick. full of unsaid things. heavy with the weight of everything that never got to be love.
finally, daniela breaks the silence. her voice is small, careful.
“why have you been ignoring me?”
you laugh, but it’s cold. “you can’t be serious.”
she winces. “i mean- i know you’ve been mad. but… not like this.”
you look at her slowly, exhaustion pooling in your chest.
“you said you were straight,” you say. “on a livestream. with me right next to you. and you acted like what we had, like i, didn’t mean anything.”
daniela opens her mouth, but you hold up your hand.
“you don’t get it,” you continue, voice trembling. “i gave you everything. i let you into parts of me i’ve never let anyone near. and you didn’t even hesitate to shut it all down.”
tears prick at your eyes, and you hate how easy it is for them to fall now.
“you laughed. you laughed and said you were straight like i was just another joke to you. like i wasn’t someone you were crawling into bed with every night.”
daniela flinches. she’s crying now too.
“i wasn’t trying to hurt you.”
“well you did,” you say, voice breaking. “and you never apologized. you just left me to figure it out alone. i was humiliated, dani. i didn’t want to be your secret. i wanted to be your person.”
daniela stands up. steps closer. desperate now.
“you are my person,” she says. “i just, i didn’t know how to say it. i was scared. everything in me was screaming to say something but i panicked. and then when you stopped talking to me i thought maybe you were just... done.”
you wipe your face. “i was trying to protect myself. because loving you hurt. because you made me feel like i was something to be ashamed of.”
her voice cracks. “you’re not. you never were.”
“then why didn’t you fight for me?”
“i didn’t know how,” she says. “but i want to now.” you hesitate. it’s still raw. still so broken in places.
“you really think it’s that simple?” you whisper. “that you can just show up now and everything will be okay?”
daniela drops to her knees in front of you. her hands shake as she reaches for yours but doesn’t touch, just hovers.
“i love you,” she says. “i love you so much it makes everything else feel smaller. and i want to try again. out loud. publicly. with you. if you’ll let me. if you can still let me in.”
you look at her. really look.
she’s not hiding anymore. not even a little.
and finally, finally, she whispers, “we don’t have to call it the end.”
your walls don’t fall in one go. but you let her take your hand. and you let yourself hope.
—
the next few days feel different. lighter. real.
you don’t talk about it with the others, but they know. you walk a little closer to each other again. daniela doesn’t reach for your hand in secret anymore.
you laugh at her again. you let her touch you in front of people. you even let her kiss your cheek backstage, once, when she thought no one was looking, but manon definitely was, and she winked like a menace.
you don’t say the word “together” out loud. but it lives in the space between your smiles.
a couple days later, you’re doing a chill livestream with daniela, manon, and lara, promoting gnarly, answering questions, teasing each other.
it feels like it used to. better, even.
daniela reaches across you to grab a hair clip from the table, and says without thinking, “love, can you pass me that notebook?”
you go still.
manon and lara freeze too. wide-eyed.
daniela doesn’t even blink. she’s completely casual. like she didn’t just drop the word love in front of tens of thousands of fans.
you glance at her, stunned, then you smile. huge. real. “of course, my love.”
and you hand her the notebook without breaking eye contact.
manon immediately makes a fake gagging noise. lara dramatically falls back onto the couch, muttering “i’m gonna be sick.”
daniela just grins. you laugh.
and this time, no one hides. no one runs.
maybe this is what it means to start again. not from scratch,
but from something earned.

a/n: idk which version i like better 😣 anywhooo this concludes ‘you get me so high’ thank you to everyone who was, for some reason, interested in this also idk why..but when i was writing this, i started thinking abt parent trap. i haven’t watched that movie in YEARS so i went by memory 😭😭😭

saja boys' sixth member is... a girl ? - first meeting/moving in | saja boys x reader
series summary: in this story, you are pretending to be a boy. not just any boy--a saja boy. but what will you do when not even your fellow members--the ones you now share a dorm with--can find out you're actually a girl? stay tuned for more!! (heavily based on you're beautiful kdrama + ouran high school host club)
You arrive at the Saja Boys’ dorm. As soon as you open the front door, you're greeted by five handsome men–your future roommates.
Y/N: Um… hello everyone. I’m Y/N. I look forward to working with you. *bowing politely*
Jinu: Y/N? Isn't that a girl’s name?
Y/N, realizing she already messed up: I-it’s just a nickname! I mean… *gesturing to Abs* they call him Abby, don't they?
Abs: Dude… she's kinda got a point…
❓ Mystery sniffs you. Two short bursts of inhalation–exactly like how you'd expect out of the wet nose of a dog. You flinch backwards, but after that, he seems to let down his guard. When he reaches out his hand to shake yours, he makes sure not to grip too tightly. His smile is warm, but you feel like even behind his bangs, he can see right through you…
💪 Abs takes no such precautions. He enthusiastically goes in to dap you up, yelling, “Welcome to the team, bro!”. The force of his hand against yours is nearly enough to send you tumbling. “Shit, my bad…” Immediately wants to take you on as his fitness-fixer-upper (i.e. he's scanning you and mentally building protein recipes and workout routines). You make note to not piss him off…
🍼 Baby isn’t rude per say, but he just figured everyone else makes up for his lack of enthusiasm. When he sees you, he looks up from his Switch for a second, and when his bubblegum pops, all he says is “‘Sup.” Doesn't even take off his headphones or wait for a response. Heads to the nearby couch and goes right back to his game. What a warm welcome…
💐 Romance greets you with a smile and immediately starts taking your stuff to your room. He offers to help you unpack, but you assure him it's fine; you don't want him to find anything incriminating but he keeps insisting. When you finally spell it out to him that you want to keep your belongings… private, he just says, “Ah, I see.” and smiles knowingly. You wonder what he thought you meant…
✨ Jinu you had met before you moved in; he had overseen your “audition” of sorts. Now that he's your leader, he tries to put on a tough guy front and is all like “Don’t forget we have rehearsal at 8 am sharp” or “This is my room. Keep out.” It convinces you for the most part, but you can't help but giggle when he tells you “not to leave food out, or else Derpy and Susie will start bouncing off the walls.” It gets even harder to take him seriously when he starts getting particular about what belongs to him in the fridge (DO NOT TOUCH!) and whose slippers are whose. You immediately straighten up when he threatens to quiz you on it, though.
And that’s the other thing–as if the five boys didn’t occupy the space enough, there’s also the giant tiger and the skeptical bird, neither of which seem to have any enclosures. Though, they are quite cute and somehow less threatening than your other roommates.
The rest of them retreat to their own rooms, leaving Jinu to give you the tour of the biggest, most beautiful compound you've ever seen. There's a fully stocked kitchen, a cozy living room, and state of the art bathrooms. Lining the exterior are floor to ceiling windows, a balcony, and a beautiful view of the city.
Once again, Jinu appears much less intimidating when he nearly slips on an empty Saja Boys™ Soda. As he leads you up the stairs to the bedrooms, you swear you hear him curse Baby under his breath.
Thankfully you get your own bedroom. Although, you can't rest too easy since all of your rooms are joined by the same hall. Yours is right next to [your fav]’s. Despite being the smallest out of everyone's (it used to be the guest room) no one can deny that it's massive. There's a king sized bed, plenty of closet space, and a desk waiting to be used. The only thing you would've liked is a private bathroom, but given everything else this place has to offer, you decide to just be grateful you get to live here at all.
Still, as you would come to find out, none of the amenities here made your life living with the boys any easier.
***
this kinda sucks but I luv u anyway. there are better scenario prompts that I plan to do that u can see here so plz lmk which ones u wanna see !!!!

★ STITCHES ⨟ S. Monroe & S. Barringer

⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀❝Waiting for the chance to beat you, drooling on the set to feel you, blessing you with every kiss.❞
﹙characters﹚︰ Sam "I'm Not Gay" Monroe, Scott Barringer
﹙pairing﹚︰ Sam x Scott
﹙synopsis﹚︰ Sam's little secret gets out. Scott has to put him in his place.
﹙content warnings﹚︰ gay sex, f-slur usage, takes place in 2001 so don't take it too personal, biblically accurate (twink) sam
﹙notes﹚︰ Ella (@darthrenswiftie) came up with this. Knew what I had to do. Might be a genius with that picture setup not sure though.
When it got back to him that Scott had seen the video, Sam was absolutely mortified. No way, his crush had seen it. Scott Barringer, the captain of the football team, the guy that's fucked every girl at school . . . now he knows that Sam wants to be one of those girls too.
Initially, Scott made fun of it. Laughing with his friends about the "little faggot twink freak" that's pulling his cock to the thought of getting pounded by the jock. He knows that Sam stays late for the football games, solely for his friend Josh that's also on the team. The two of them will hang out, Sam will occasionally accompany him in the locker room just for support. So, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Sam wants to get fucked? Fine. He'll show him just what he's in for.
⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀✮ ✮ ✮
Perfect. Josh was kind enough to help Scott set Sam up. Sam sits on the bench in the locker room, drumming his ring-clad fingers against the wood when the door opens and slams heavily, almost ominously. The scent of nearly overbearing cologne hits Sam's senses and he freezes. No. Is it . . . ? He turns around, and suddenly, he's face to face with Scott Barringer himself. Oh, god. They both remember that video. Where Sam cries the blonde's name, his pretty pink lips glistening with saliva from repeated licking and his hand sticky and slick with his release.
"Hey there, fag."
Sam's eyes widen a fraction at the insult. He swallows, brow furrowing in irritation. "I'm not gay," he says defensively, getting up and putting some distance between the two of them. Scott just eats the distance right back up, cornering the other against the lockers. Suddenly, he slams him into the red lockers, making them rattle, and making Sam yell in pain. "Ow! The fuck was that f- whatareyou- ohh," his protests fade into a moan as Scott's knee presses against the stiffy in his cargo shorts. "Oh my god, Monroe, you are a fucking little twink. Is this all 'cause of me? You hard 'cause of me?"
Against his better judgement, Sam starts to grind against Scott's knee for friction, his eyes fluttering closed, his pretty lashes resting against his rosy cheeks. "Yeah, that's right, get yourself off on me like the little whore you are. You wan' me t'fuck you in the ass, don't you? Don't you?" He taunts. Sam nods desperately, and that's all Scott needs.
In an instant, Scott has Sam bent over the bench, his ass up in the air. Fuck, he's cute. No, this isn't what he's here for. He's here to teach him a lesson, not actually get off on this. Discarding his pants but not his socks, Scott positions himself behind Sam, landing a harsh smack to his ass, watching with satisfaction and reverie as the flesh jiggles and turns a bright red. Sam moans beneath him, gripping the sides of the bench desperately, trying to brace himself, but nothing prepares him for the feeling of the tip of the blonde's cock prodding at his tiny little hole. No lube, either? God, he's fucked. Literally.
Scott spits down onto his hole and smears it around before he holds Sam's cheeks apart, fingers digging into the plush, pliant globes before forcing himself inside. Well, the tip at least. Maybe it'd be better if Sam was riding him? He pulls out and yanks Sam onto the floor to get him out of the way before parking himself on the bench. "Get the fuck up here," he orders, patting his lap. "Face away, I don't wanna see your face when we do this." As if that makes it count any less.
Hurriedly, Sam takes hold of Scott's knees before lowering himself down slowly, whimpering as the tip pushes past the tight ring of muscle for the second time tonight. This is definitely better. It hurts like a bitch, no lube, barely any spit, Sam thinks he's going to be torn in two. Once he's fully inside, Scott hooks his arms underneath Sam's knees, pulling his legs up. "This is what you wanted, isn't it?" He breathes against his ear, making Sam nod pathetically. "Yeah, uh huh," he moans. Scott nuzzles his neck, giving a harsh thrust upward. "Then fucking take it."
Sam's mind is fuzzy, all he can do is whimper and moan like a whore, his voice echoing off the walls of the empty locker room as Scott thrusts up into him, stretching him beyond anything he's ever felt before . . . much, much thicker than his fingers, and much, much thicker than that plug he snagged from Spencer's with the help of a fake ID.
"Ohmygod, hurts so fuckin' good!" Sam cries, his voice slurring, eyelids fluttering and eyes rolling back, lips parted in pleasure, drool threatening to spill from his open mouth. He's absolutely going dumb on Scott's cock, and it really doesn't help that the blonde is all up against that sweet spot on his neck. "So loud," he pants, thighs starting to quiver, but he's nowhere near as messy as Sam is right now. His cock weeps precum that smears onto his shirt with every rub of his bouncing cock against it. "'s so big, fuck," Sam drawls, his moans getting higher pitched.
Scott stands, pushing Sam against the set of lockers once more, pressing his face against the cold metal and starting to thrust, now that he has better access. Sam arches his back and grabs at the lockers, settling on gripping the handles, every thrust from the boy behind him making the shoddy locker doors rattle. Scott grabs a fistful of Sam's hair and yanks his head back, other hand wrapping around his throat from behind and cutting off his airflow. "There's no way you're this fuckin' tight," he grunts, his hair sticking to his forehead with sweat, his own cheeks flushed and rosy just like Sam's.
He's enjoying it. He's supposed to be teaching this little virgin freak a lesson, but he's enjoying it!
"Pleasepleaseplease," Sam moans, one hand moving from the locker handle to his cock, pumping it in time with Scott's thrusts as best he can. "Fuck, yes, yes, yes," his hand shakes, he has to use both of them to brace himself to keep himself from collapsing as his legs quiver, threatening to give out. His stomach churns with warmth, a tight coil about to snap at any given second. "'m gonna fuckin' cum," he warns, his eyes rolling back as he lets out the most pathetic noise Scott has ever heard in his life before spurting ropes of white onto the lockers before him, his cock twitching over and over, some of the pearlescent release falling onto his boots and the floor. It's so fucking much.
Scott stills, and with his own moan, he finishes inside Sam, a rush of satisfaction washing over him, adrenaline still pumping through him. They pant heavily, breaths mingling as Scott lets go of Sam's hair and pulls out of him, watching as the boy collapses to his knees, upper body falling forward and giving the blonde a good view of his fluttering hole. "Fuck, look at you..." Scott whispers, tugging his pants back on. "Get the fuck up before someone finds you in here, freak." He gives Sam's ass one more hard smack. "And you better not tell anyone. It's my word against yours. Got it, fag?"
Sam rolls onto his side, his hole aching. "Whatever asshole... get lost." He mutters. Scott rolls his eyes, slinging his bag over his shoulder. "Freak." "Dickbag." Sam shoots back, not bothering to watch as Scott leaves, the door slamming closed behind him.

CHAPTER 8: LIKE A COMPLETE BITCH
POV: 2nd Person.
— Word Count: 1k+.
Warnings: Depressing themes. Self deprecating thoughts.
Author’s Notes: No beta reader, we die like Neji🫡 Something short and sweet.
I just want my best friend back.
Felix’s text flashed in your mind persistently, a nagging feeling that made you feel like the biggest bitch in the world.
But why did Jisung blame himself for your accident? You couldn’t think of a moment between you two to cause it.
You must have said something to him that night. Something you don’t remember.
Something that caused him to shut down over the last year and a half.
Your hands smoothed over the floral duvet you had just laid down and you let out a heavy sigh.
“That doesn’t sound good.”
You looked over your shoulder and to Chan standing in the doorway to your room. Well, technically 3RACHA’s guest room.
“What’s wrong?” Chan asked, stepping further into the room. “Did Changbin not dust good enough? He was in here for a good two hours cleaning.”
“No it’s not that,” you said sitting down on the queen sized bed. “It’s great in here. Really. Thank you again for letting me stay. I owe you.”
Chan smiled at that and sat next to you. “You don’t owe us anything.” He gave a playful nudge to your knee with his own. “So what is it?” he asked. “Jisung?”
You nodded, your head dropping. “I feel like shit,” you said. “Like a complete bitch right now.”
“You are not a bitch, Y/N.”
“I am though. He blames himself. And probably for something I said that I can’t remember.”
“You don’t know that,” Chan said. “And even if you did say something, you can fix it. You can apologize. Talk to him about it. Jisung will understand.”
“Being in pain doesn’t excuse what I said, Chan,” you grumbled.
“Y/N,” Chan said, voice firm. He grabbed your hand. “You almost died.”
Your eyes met his and your heart clench at the pained look he gave you.
“That night we nearly lost you, do you understand that?” He said. “All of us. We didn’t think you were going to make it to the morning. Hell, even your doctor was shocked when you woke up the next day. It was a miracle. All of us were hysterical when he told us you were going to be okay. I think Felix almost fainted from relief.”
You pouted a little. “I actually think that was the first time I’ve ever seen Minho or Seungmin cry.”
Chan laughed a little— though strained. “Those two love you. Way too much. Even if they deny it.” His expression turned more serious. Darker. “Especially Minho. I don’t know what would happen to him if we had lost you. I… I don’t—“
“Please don’t say it,” you muttered.
Chan hummed a little. “He almost went to jail for you.”
“Yeah I know,” you said. “I was right there for the the screaming match remember? In my hospital room. At eight am. I yelled at them to shut the fuck up.”
That got a genuine laugh out of Chan this time. “Oh my god I remember that. The trucker just came to apologize.”
“And then Minho punched the guy in the face and broke his nose,” you said. You cringed a little at the memory. “The blood. So gross.”
“Definitely not his uh… best moment?”
“Does he have a best moment?”
“He would beat you if he heard you say that,” Chan chuckled.
You gasped, offended. “No he would not. He loves me as much as he loves his cats, remember?”
“No?” Chan asked confused now. “When did he say that?”
“When he was shitfaced at your birthday party last year,” you said with a triumphant grin. “He FaceTimed me— in the bathroom, might I add— whining about how much he missed me. Sadly that was before I knew I was coming back, so I couldn’t comfort him much.”
“You should have recorded it.”
“Now that probably would end up with me getting my ass beat.”
The two of you shared a look before breaking down into a fit of laughter.
“God I can only imagine that,” Chan wheezed. “He had to have been completely gone.”
“It was your party!” You squeaked. “You don’t remember how drunk he was?”
“No because I was gone too. I do not remember that night at all.”
You blinked at him before shaking your head in disbelief. “Good lord,” you muttered. “I go to America for sixteen months for therapy and you all turn to alcohol.”
“That’s why all of us are so happy you’re back now,” Chan said. “Even Jisung.” He squinted at you. “And I can’t believe you think he hates you. I think that is the wildest thing that you have ever said.”
“I hurt him,” you said voice small now. “And something makes him think that my accident is his fault.
“Look,” Chan said. “The two of you have always had a weird push- pull relationship. You two were worse than him and Hyunjin used to be when you first met. Some of the fights you’ve had have genuinely scared me. But then you’d go back to just… neutral? Like the fight never happened and you could semi-stand each other again? Then take your first year of university. You two hung out with each other multiple times. By yourselves. And for some reason were perfectly fine.” Chan shook his head. “Don’t even get me started on that. It gave me whiplash.”
“We shared classes that’s all,” you said with a shrug.
“Yeah yeah, whatever you say. But my point is— you two have been through so much together. And you guys almost developed an actual friendship before your accident. So, this, whatever this is that has happened between you two. I think it can be solved. You know, if you actually talked to one another.”
“I know.” You sighed. “And I should have apologized to him before I left for America. I had two full months of rotting in that damn hospital room to do so.”
“Mistakes are made. They make you human. Take the chance to fix it.”
“How will I do that when he’s not here?” you ask.
“Break in to his studio like Minho suggested,” Chan said. “You and him are probably the only people Jisung has never kicked out of it before. Hell, he’s let you sleep on his studio’s couch before, remember?”
“Yeah…” you trailed off.
Chan gave you his annoying endearing goofy grin and nudged your shoulder again. “Go fix this so we can all get annoyed with your two’s bickering again. Please. We miss it.”

need more for jobe!!
She’s MINE!- Jobe Bellingham
pairing: jobe bellingham x fem!reader & jude bellingham x fem!reader (platonic)
warnings: angsty? a little bit
summary: jobe spent his whole life sharing with his brother, but this was one thing he wasn’t about to share
note: 😭send some plots omds i have been WRACKING my brain here

Jobe was used to intrusions, being the youngest and never being able to lock his room doors, he only ever got the serenity of locked doors when he got his own apartment or stayed over at yours
when you and Jobe started dating, he was over the moon that you got along with Jude like a house on fire, with Jude often joking that you’d brought him a younger sister instead of a sister in law.
And while Jobe enjoyed watching you interact with his brother, this weekend he was not having it. Having not seen you for over a month, communication being slow and almost non-existent, when his mother sent out the Thanksgiving invites to the family he knew he had to bring you along. His mom knew you were coming along, and Jude knew.
Jude knew and he would take full advantage of it. Barging into Jobe’s room where you and Jobe slept tangled in one another
“she answered!” Jude said shoving his phone in your face “what do i say?”
“JUDE KNOCK!” Jobe yelled
“it’s not like it’s locked” Jude shrugged “anyways it’s 9 in the morning”
“MOM JUDE IS INVADING MY PRIVACY!” Jobe yelled
“Jude!” Denise said warningly
“Mum” Jude whined “i just want Y/N to help me answer this text”
“Let your brother and Y/N get up at least” their father reprimanded
Jude frowned, sticking his tongue out at his little brother before leaving.
Jobe smiled victoriously before pulling you into his arms
“good morning” he smiled kissing your forehead
“morning” you said breathing him in “should probably go get ready”
“noooo” Jobe whined squeezing you closer “you’re my girlfriend!”
“i know i am baby” you giggled
“so why are you denying me cuddles to help Jude!” Jobe questioned
“you’re such a big baby” you smile kissing his pout “i just wanna help your mom with lunch prep”
“that’s not what it feels like” Jobe pouted
“alright let me make a deal with you you say holding your pinky out “come shower with me, and then when i’m done helping your mom we can have some alone time”
“deal” Jobe smiled linking your pinkies
“no funny business in the shower though!”
time seemed on Jobe’s side because by 2PM you were nestled in his arms in the TV room, monopoly spread in front of you as you laughed at Jobe’s sore attempt at getting out of paying rent after landing on your property
“baby please! i’m broke here” Jobe whined
“who told you to buy all the expensive properties at once?” you laughed “pay up pretty boy!”
“you’re a monster of capitalism” Jobe said handing the money over
“i’m just putting food in my kids mouths” you laughed
Jobe opened his mouth to respond but the door would burst open as a frantic Jude walked in
“does this look alright? i feel like it looks like i’m trying too hard” he said standing in front of the pair
“switch the jacket out for something lighter” you advised him
“and come back with a girlfriend so you can stop stealing mine” Jobe grumbled
“i’m not stealing your girlfriend” Jude said “she’s offering her services to help me bag this beauty, right Y/N?”
“no, you’re forcing her to help you because God substituted your rizz for a good smile” Jobe countered
“at least i have a nice smile” Jude tried to
“i have dimples, a nice smile and a girlfriend” Jobe poked back “been had one for 3 years mate, when are you gonna fill the seat next to you at the dinner table?”
“okay, that’s below the belt” Jude said
“i wouldn’t have to if you would quit stealing my girlfriend” Jobe yelled “SHES MINE!”
“enough” you said standing up “Jobe, i’m more than happy to help your brother, Jude, i don’t mind helping you but Jobe and I havn’t seen each other in a while and we would really like to spend some time together okay?”
“okay” Jude said leaving the room
the two of you sat in silence
“i’m sorry, i just” Jobe sighed “i’m just tired of having to share things with my brother, the only think i have to myself that doesn’t compare me to him or that i got from being his brother and he’s just taking it from me”
you nodded empathetically, shifting on the couch to sit next to him placing a hand on his cheek
“i love you my sweet boy, don’t ever doubt that okay” you assured him
“i love you too” Jobe said
“now how’s a round of scrabble sounding before lunch?” you smirked
“that’s mean baby you know i’m terrible at that!” Jobe whined falling back into the couch
“that’s why i recommended it!”

hero and villain (pt. 4)
THUNDERBOLTS* SPOILERS
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Widow!Reader, platonic Thunderbolts team
Warnings: Canon-like violence, body horror, character death
... Last time on HAV:
You land on your injured hand and yelp. Gunshots fire off. You hear Yelena calling your name. Curling around your arm, you look up. Yelena is alive. Alive and furious. The Void looks back at you as if it can feel your relief. It sneers in disgust and turns its head to the blue sky of the room. Faster than any of you can reach it, it rockets up into the air, carrying the sounds of the distressed infant with it. Pushing to your feet, you rush to where it was standing, your hands clasp the air where she just was.
part one, part two, part three, part four
A/N: *spills my comic headcanons on my mcu villain's monologues* oops. the exposition chapter, all answers answered, questions questioned. this is one of those stories that i will have troubles letting go of, there is much to unpack. i think i'll put all of the parts in an AO3 post that i'll post later.
You yell out in frustration, dragging your hands through your hair. You feel a metal grip on your elbow and lash out. Shoving Bucky away to uppercut your good arm into his chin. You point an accusing finger at him. “You asked to see her! You wanted her. I left her, she was safe! It took her! It wanted her!”
“I know.” That fucking calm of his. You snap a hand at his face - he catches your wrist. You hadn’t realized that you attacked him with that injured wrist, you hiss at the pressure, but he doesn’t let up. He doesn’t tighten his grip, but the pain radiating down your arm into your chest makes you freeze. It takes that pain to not hit him again when he speaks, “Do you want her? Do you regret her?”
Thanks for regretting her, the Void had said. You sit in that statement. Did you regret having her? You didn’t have a choice. But when you escaped, you brought her. Your choice was to leave her. You regretted not staying, not fleeing from Hydra with her. You gave them a chase, but ultimately you slipped their trail, you could have done that with her. You wanted to do that with her. But you did it because you wanted to protect her. You wanted to save her. You wanted her. You regretted not staying with her.
You hate that your lip quivers as you answer, “Fucking prick. Of course I don’t.”
He lets go of you, nodding like you got the answer right. “So what are we doing about it?”
The rest have caught up, and they look to you. You look around - not at them - but the tarmac you’re standing on. The memory is playing out. You watch for a moment. Soldiers are taking the girls from the younger Alexei, and loading them in one of the smaller planes.
Before the memory can loop again, you take off after them. If you can get the plane in the air before the loop, you could catch up with the Void. Startled and confused, the team follows you into the plane. Ava puts bullets into the soldiers’ heads. Yelena slides into the co-pilot’s seat, turning it to face you.
“That wasn’t me. Whatever it said.”
“Don’t tell me that. It wasn’t my room.” You glance back at Alexei, who is kneeling next to the two unconscious girls, trying to wake them. You take a breath and turn to your engine checks, closing the plane’s cargo door. She huffs and stands up to go to her father at the back of the plane. You catch her elbow as she goes.
“I’m very glad you were not ripped in half.”
“I’m very angry that he took your daughter.”
There goes denying it in your head. The baby became your baby.
Teeth gritted, you turn back to the front - and the tarmac outside the window is gone. You’re looking at darkness. Before your stomach can drop from fear, you realize you’re looking at a wall.
“Weapons up, we’re walking into an ambush.” You glance back to the team to make sure they’re ready. They assemble around the access door with weapons forward. “Fuck it.”
You let down the ramp into a cold laboratory. John and Bucky lead the way out, their military precision building a protective front. You, trailing in the back of the group, hear them both curse. Yelena cries out, “Bob!”
Six different guns point at the man sitting on a stool. You remember a firing squad, and the heartbreak when that mane of bedhead went down. The memory of his later beatdown of all of you reminds you that he was bulletproof. That, and he was cradling the baby - your baby. You lower your muzzle and hiss at everyone to do the same.
He looks up from her at the sound of Yelena calling his name with a gasp. “I’m sorry, I thought you guys were behind me! This is the room, this is where it all started.”
“I’ve been here before,” Yelena says. “In Malaysia.”
Bob shrugs, “I was roaming around Southeast Asia, thought I’d figure something out, or at least find more drugs. Then there’s this guy, started talking to me about a medical study. A trial drug that can make you stronger.”
You’ve been moving towards him all this time. He finally makes eye contact with you. You are reassured by the blue iris you see. It’s a burden for him, but the assurance you need is finalized by the anxiety and fear that he holds. This is Bob. He pinches his mouth and looks down at the baby. Finishes explaining the room. “Felt like a miracle. I’d finally get to show everyone that I was more- that I was something.” With a shuddering inhale, he looks up and finds Ava.
“You said I was gonna go first through the doorway. Where did you guys all go?”
“They followed the Void.”
You flinch at the reverberating echo that is Bob’s voice and not. You all turn to the shadow that is perched at the end of the room on a medical table, remnants of its victims framing it in the room’s cold light. It pushes off and rounds the table. Even with those pinpricks of light acting as eyes, you can tell it’s looking directly at you, and from the way everyone looks at you.
Bob had gone back to Ava’s suggestion in John’s nursery, so John’s nursery was the last time he was with you. “Maybe, don't have John lead. I went first into my room-” after Bucky had passed her the baby. “-and John's been leading us through all of his-” with the baby that Ava had passed to him, and the six of you had only escaped John’s rooms when he’d passed her over to Alexei. They followed the Void.
“She’s not you.” you say defensively. She’d cried when the Void held her. Something as prideful as this entity would preen at the sight of itself.
The Void growls, and the cold light in the room dims as glass shatters, flying towards you all. “You pulled her out of me. We’re not talking about the chicken and the egg. We’re talking about my rib. Something from my womb. My vessel, every molecule designed for the Void.”
The golden question. “What is that? What are you?”
“Regret. Shame. Guilt. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. That Little Voice. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. Living Fractal of this Seventh Cosmos. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Spurs of the Universe. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. God of the Narcisson. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. The Void. Daughter of Winter and Regret. A Queen in Black.”
The Void’s voice is not the one it stole from Bob – it started like that, but morphs the longer it talks. It is familiar, or it once was going to be. Feminine and full-bodied. The entity stretches towards the group - the shaggy silhouette of Bob’s long hair curling and waving until it is a lion’s mane, distracting from the slender and muscled shadow it’s reconstituting itself as. As her. Taller than you, and your heart breaks a little in your chest. Is this how you see her all grown up? Her shadow before – before it takes her from you on a cosmic level, before it rips you and your family asunder, before the Void is her.
You turn your head to your baby in Bob’s arms, maybe to brace for what you fear will happen. Bob’s hands are staining black from where he touches your baby. Like sponges soaked in ink, they’re transferring a power that is incomprehensible to the mortal mind. A manifestation of those underworlds the Void claimed as epithets.
“Why her?” he asks. “You’ve kept me all these years. Whatever you’re gonna do, why not do it to me?”
“Bobby not feeling special enough?” it mocks, “You delivered me here. Summoned me from the bedrock of the Below-Place. Well, not you. Broken Florida trash isn’t gonna cut it. But that destiny of yours chose you, so I chose you. It chose a simple, humble warren to hide from me, as if the dirt of your soul is enough to shield it from me.”
It thrusts its hand forward, fingers curling around something inside Bob. Bob’s body burns with the power of the Sentry. Through even the thick fabric of his sweats, Bob’s skeleton is silhouetted by the light of a thousand suns. You expect a scream of pain – you can feel the blistering heat from your place standing beside him, only soothed by the distance he puts between you as his feet leave the ground. He’s pulled forward telekinetically by the Void, its shadows stretching and snapping around it like a shore’s waves. Its form loses the shape of your grown daughter, mirroring Bob again.
There’s that pit in your stomach. Every time Bob has smiled at you, that fragile show of fine that he liked to perform, as if he didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve, and his fear on the other one. As if he hadn’t been dancing on the edge of a cliff the entire time you’d known him.
You realize you are holding your baby.
And you’re stricken by his words in the florist, which this Bob wasn’t there for.
If he doesn’t take it for her, I’ll kill him.
“No!” Yelena cries out, moving to grab Bob but the Void is faster. It jerks its head and the room quakes. A medical table flies and pins Yelena and Alexei to the doors out of the room. Ava’s arms are grappled to her side as she’s thrown into the back wall. When the lights swing off their bolts, John gets a piece of metal in his shoulder when he pushes you to the side, into Bucky’s arms. He turns you in his grasp and your back hits one of the workstations, sheltering you and baby when a light wraps around the two of you. The baby is protected from the shattering of glass when Bucky’s arms brace around her, both of you holding your baby.
“Stop. Just - let them go.” Bob protests, untouched by anything in the storm that seeks to hold the team down. You think it knows that it can’t counteract him or the Sentry, or you hope.
Bob’s shadow hunches, as if it’s a friend leaning over a bar table to tell its friend the truth. “You think they care about you? You don’t matter to anyone.”
“That’s not true!” you hear from behind you, and you turn to watch your sister get choked out by an IV strand.
The Void isn’t watching her though, even if its hand is outstretched to fasten the cord around Yelena’s neck. It’s waiting.
“Don’t hurt her.” Bob tells it - and the room echoes with the words of a boy standing by his mother’s seat at the table.
And his father’s reply, “Robert the Hero.”
You remember as the team had filed through the kitchen of Bob’s childhood, the man - his father - who was shorter, leaner than the man who now stands between your family and the avatar of darkness.
Bob straightens up.
“I’m stronger than you.”
“Let’s see.”
As far as a civilian could go, Bob had a decent hit. Maybe Val’s team had given him some pointers. But he takes a wide wild swing that the Void steps into to take a jab at Bob’s ribs. There is a howl of pain that accompanies a loud crack. It takes a series of other bloody hits to knock Bob to the floor
“You thought you were gonna be some great man? Some savior? Can’t even save yourself.”
Bob takes a knee to get up - and the shadow surges forward to grasp his hair and hold up his head.
“We can dance like this, Bobby, for centuries, but I will consume everything and everyone. I will kill each and every one of them.”
Even in its hold, Bob is able to shake his head. “No. Nothing can die in here. It’ll just hurt.”
It laughs. “You think I’ll keep them here? I will personally deliver them to my sister Death’s gullet, so not even you can pull them back. You will be alone - like always... But you can be the savior here, Bob. You can save them. Let go. Give her to me.”
If he doesn’t take it for her, I’ll kill him. The Bob that locks eyes with you is not the one that said those words, but he will be the one that says it. He swallows the fear.
“Get up, Bobby!” John shouts, struggling on the metal that had impaled him to the desk at his back. You wince for him.
Bob throws his head back, catching his shadow in the nose. It stumbles, holding its palm to its lower face, as if staunching a blood flow. Bob doesn’t let up, tackling it to the ground. Straddling it as he throws punch after punch. The phrase defeating your demons pops into your head. Despite the cold climbing your body, you feel like you should be proud. Maybe this is what Bob needs.
The Sentry is slamming the Void into a hole in the floor. The concrete is cracking with the force of Bob’s hits. That cold feeling reaches your heart, and no, no, no, this is not what Bob needs.
You look up at Bucky and you see that realization in his eyes too. You see a history of Bucky turning from his vengeance to his amends. You both look down at your baby. The shadows are climbing her body, the same way they’re consuming Bob. The pair of you can’t do anything without leaving the baby. You know Bob will go through with this - become what the Void needs him to be, whatever that is.
It’s laughing. Taunting Bob, “Is that all you got?”
The room crackles with its energy, the ceiling, the floor, the walls crumbling into its domain, eating the memory of the lab that had gotten Bob into its clutches. There’s a chasm between you and the ongoing fight.
Bucky swallows, and you see resolution in his eyes. A plan. He turns his head to the back of the room, to Yelena. The person who’s belief in Bob has never wavered.
“This isn’t right.” he tells her. He nods to Alexei beside her, who is not strong enough to push the Void off of himself, but he has the strength to give Yelena room to duck under the table.
She gives a look at Alexei, still trapped - but he encourages her forward with a stern, “Go!”
And she’s moving through the collapsing room, through the obstacles the Void throws at her. You don’t know what she’ll do when she reaches him, he’s too far gone with his power, she can’t stop him.
But she does what she can, which is hold on. Let him know that he’s not alone.
The room has stopped shaking, the floor hasn’t quite repaired itself, but the hold Yelena has on Bob has an effect.
Ava’s able to phase through her restraints. John yanks the metal off of himself with a cry of pain, and ignores the copious amount of blood staining his uniform to run forward with her. Alexei is able to lift the debris off himself. You reach up, wrist blotchy with bruises, to hold Bucky’s cheek.
As Alexei told Yelena, you tell him, “Go.”
He captures your hand in his and turns to press a kiss to your palm. Your entire body flares with pain, and guilt. He would stay if you asked him. But you nod your head to him. He isn’t the Winter Soldier, but he is a soldier. If there is a fight, he will need to fix it. You know the instinct to fight for a soldier is a need to protect, so you tell him, “I got her. They need you. We’ll be right behind you.”
You have spent the time you have known Bucky Barnes pushing him away. This isn’t that. There is a fight for Bob’s humanity. If he is the one to take the Void, he needs to know that weight isn’t on him exclusively.
They are a team. They are a family.
The Thunderbolts.
Even with Yelena’s arms around him, Bob is still fighting. Alexei wraps his arms around Bob’s waist, pulling him and Yelena off of the Void. Bob lifts his hands, two fists pressed together like a hammer coming down on a nail one final time. Ava snakes her hand over his shoulder, bracing him, or braces herself to him. Her other hand grasps the back of his sweater. John hooks his arm into Bob’s right, as if he can hold Bob back. Bucky is there on the other side of Bob, metal arm holding his, as Bob releases his hands and collapses into the group’s hold of him.
They all fall back, and you watch them disappear into the dark. Bob will be fine. They will be fine.
You haven’t moved from the spot pressed against a workstation, but the Void is in front of you. Bob’s shadow. Her shadow.
“She’s not there, is she? That’s why Bob wasn’t enough for you. He’s from our world. She’s not out there.” you shrug and look down at your baby. “She’s a memory.”
The shadow is regret and shame and blame, all confrontational things, but it is also grief.
You feel its cold hand touch your cheek. It reminds you of Bucky’s vibranium hand, the cold metal soothing against your skin.
“Morocco.” it answers for you. “The Red Room located Oksana transporting Red Dust, the chemical antiserum that freed you from its control. She was still trying to take down Dreykov. She was still taking care of little Mallory. Oksana ran away from the safehouse, to get away from the Widows, to save her, and the operatives detonated charges in the building.”
“How old was she?”
The Void sighs and brackets your face in its hands, as if it cared enough to comfort you, before it leans in and kisses your forehead. “Three.”
You close your eyes and lean into the comfort offered, squeezing out a few tears.
You snort, and tell it, “You’re shaking in excitement.”
This eldritch horror of misery looks down at you in surprise.
“Dread. It can be a delicacy, but it tastes like burnt toast.” you quote back at it, “I think it’s a recipe you haven’t mastered. I think you are a powerful being, but I’m not dead yet. They’re not dead yet. You need something from us. Maybe just from me.”
You can't see an expression in the darkness before you, but from the scoff you receive, you can imagine a raised eyebrow and a look of disbelief.
“Did you know?” it asks you. “Did those motherly instincts tell you that she was dead?”
“You know I didn’t. I didn’t have to know. If she was out there, if you needed her, you’d go get her out there. If it’s a baby you needed, there are plenty in the world. You needed one from in here. Maybe one that Bob loves, or will love, because I don’t think you and Bob are that separate. I think he’ll need us, as much as you need me to remember her. I think that’s why you are not killing me right now, out there.”
It doesn’t speak - fuming.
“As for why you’re not killing me in here? No death in here, right? But also, no growth, no moving on with you. She’s a memory, she’ll always be an infant. You need something stronger. You were patient enough with Bob to wait thirty years for him to take the serum, to get the power you needed from him. No amount of patience will make a memory grow. They’re fickle things, memories. I will tell you now, the human brain isn’t as sharp as yours. It will degrade. Maybe, there's a day in the future where I lose my mind, and she disappears.”
You purse your lips, frowning as you look down at your baby in your arms. Bucky will not approve of this plan. But you’re not a hero like him. You look at the face of evil and make a deal with the devil.
“So you let us be. Let me take her out of here, and you can have Bob and all of the powers that chose him. We can have this conversation in another thirty years.”
Bob has held it for this long. He told you to let him take it. You’re banking on his willpower, the strength of his soul, to resist the temptation of the Void. You can come up with a way to defeat this thing in thirty years. Or you can pull a Medea and kill your kid. Whichever comes first.
“Let us be.” you repeat.
It leans in, a forehead to yours. This close, those pinpricks of light are like looking into the sun. Your heart hammers in your chest as you close your eyes. You let yourself sit in that fear.
It backs off before you can open your eyes again. You smile and nod.
“Thank you for your cooperation.”
You open your eyes to a ruined New York City street.

Also The triplets would never say or do this this is just a fanfic!🫶🏽
It all started because you told a secret of Nick’s. On accident, you got caught up speaking and forgot it was a secret.
You’re standing in the middle of the living room, both you and Nick screaming at each other.
“Nick, I didn’t mean to! I forgot it was a secret!” you yell while he’s still yelling at you.
“Fuck, Y/N, seriously? Do you NOT think while you’re speaking? Like seriously?” Nick says, throwing his hands up into the air while Matt and Chris stand behind him defending him.
“Holy shit, Nick, seriously? I’m sorry! You’re so fucking dramatic and dumb!” you say, turning away and walking down the hallway to your room.
“You know, sometimes, Y/N… I really wish you weren’t my sister,” Nick says.
And it goes silent.
You stop walking. The silence fills the air.
You feel a lump in your throat.
You swallow hard, fighting back tears as you turn around to look at Nick.
Nick looks like he meant it. Like he didn’t even regret it or feel bad. Anger fills his eyes.
Matt and Chris are shocked but don’t really think it would affect you since you all always get into arguments.
“Okay,” you say, turning back around and walking to your room.
Nick, Chris, and Matt sit down on the couch while Matt and Chris try to calm him down, shortly starting a movie after.
You walk into your room as you feel a single tear fall from your eye.
You shut your door and curl up on the bed.
Eventually, you break. A quiet but loud sob escapes from you.
After a couple of hours, not one of them comes to your door to check on you.
You get up from your bed, your body trembling.
You pull out a box from under your bed.
You pull out a blade.
You sit down against your bed, holding the blade while memories of the last time you did this come flooding in.
You pull up your sleeve and drag the blade across your wrist as blood drips from your arm.
You do this a couple of times before throwing the blade back in the box and pushing it under your bed.
You take a shirt and wipe your wrist.
You don’t even have the strength to get up into bed, so you just stay on the floor.
The argument with Nick replays in your head.
Days go past, and you still haven’t heard from them.
It’s been three days.
You’re still on the floor, in the same spot, staring at your wall.
Dark circles under your eyes.
You haven’t slept at all since that night.
You’re in the same clothes, same spot, just staring at nothing.
Every now and then you get flashbacks from when you were at your lowest.
When you attempted… and it didn’t work.
And nobody ever knew.
That is, until you hear footsteps coming toward your door.
But you can’t react. It’s like you’re paralyzed.
The door opens slowly.
It’s Matt.
“Y/N…” Matt says, cold and quiet.
You can’t respond. You feel numb.
“Hey Y/N, I’m sorry about the other night. And sorry we didn’t come check on you. We’ve just been busy and we kinda forgot,” Matt says.
He notices blood on your hands.
He knows you’ve self-harmed before.
He instantly panics and grabs your arm, pulling up your sleeve only to reveal the damage you left on your skin.
Matt just stares, speechless.
He slowly drops your arm, looking up at you, noticing you’re barely blinking.
“Why? Y/N, why did you do this? Tell me. I thought you promised not to do it again,” Matt says, his voice trembling as he fights back tears.
He gets up and leaves, only to come back with Nick and Chris.
They immediately drop to their knees beside you, shaking you as tears fill their eyes.
Nick starts to shake you harder, trying to get you to answer.
Suddenly, you don’t feel stuck anymore, but you’re still very weak and can’t really move.
You blink, looking at the boys in front of you.
“Why…” you say, your voice trembling and weak.
“What? Y/N, we’re going to call the ambulance. You’re barely responsive.”
“W–why do you c–care so much all of a s–sudden?” you say, your voice shaky as you slowly turn your head toward the boys.
And then… you snap out of it.
You can move again. But you’re in a different room.
You hallucinated the interaction with your brothers, who you haven’t seen in months.
You’re at a mental hospital.
All alone.
Hallucinating.

“Look what I got.” I turned to find Carter, an excited looked on his face. He held up what looked like two tickets. “Patient gave me two tickets to the Blackhawks game tonight. Can you believe it?”
“Wow, that’s generous.”
“And it’s right behind the penalty box. I thought maybe we could go, grab dinner, and have a fun night out.”
“While that does sound like fun, I don’t know if I’d be a good date tonight. My back’s been hurting, and I don’t think arena seats would help.”
The smile suddenly fell from his face. “Are you okay?”
“Don’t worry, baby daddy. Just normal aches and pains that come with carrying your growing child.”
He nodded and ran a hand over his mouth. “You know what, I’ll just give the tickets away and stay home with you.”
“No way.” I put a hand on his chest. “You were excited. Don’t skip out just because of me. See if someone else wants to go. Besides, baby girl and I could use a break from you anyway.”
“Wow. You wound me.”
I smiled and gave him a kiss before going to join Mark.
“Can you give Mrs. Rogers a Vicodin and send her on her way?” Mark asked as we rounded the corner out into the hall.
“Can do.” I wrote on the chart and had him sign. I looked up and Carol was sitting back on a gurney.
“Taking a breather?” Mark asked.
“You know my breathing’s fine, but my ankles are about to explode. I wonder if I could wrap them in duct tape.”
“You’re telling me.” I said, joining her. Her belly was more prominent than mine as we lounged against the wall. “My back is killing me.” Mark shook his head and walked away as he finished putting on his gloves. “I’m having trouble with one. I can’t imagine how two feels.”
“Exhausting. Enjoy the smaller bump while you can. It only gets bigger.”
“Can’t wait.” A gurney rolled by, going towards trauma. Carol looked at me. “Don’t look at me.” I said, slowly getting off of the gurney. “I’ve got meds to distribute.”
Later on in the afternoon, the ER was notified of a mass casualty incident: a high school science classroom blew up and they were sending patients our way. Like most mass events since I got pregnant, I stuck to Carter’s side, helping him with his patients. While he hovered less on more day-to-day things, he still was nervous when it came to this kind of stuff. So, I just stuck to him so he could focus and not worry about where I was or if I was okay.
Our biggest patient was a guy with a head injury. After a CT, we were able to pass him off to ICU. From there, it was more triage than anything. Sutures and breathing treatments for most. About an hour after the flood of kids came in, a new patient from the scene showed up, a kid named Howie with a leg laceration. After I helped with a couple of the more minors cases, I found Carter helping the kid in Exam 2.
“Everything okay in here?” I asked, taking in the two. Carter looked at me, and his eyes darted to the kid. I didn’t have time to ask what was wrong before I heard another voice.
“You little son of a bitch.”
I turned, seeing a very angry man standing in the doorway to the exam room. “I’m sorry sir?” Carter asked.
“My son is blind because of you.” The man snapped; his anger targeted on the kid in the bed.
“It wasn’t my idea Mr. Perez. Nathan and his friends told me to do it.”
“I’m afraid you’re gonna have to leave.” Carter warned as he took off his gloves. He held out his arm, gesturing for me to stay back.
“You’re a liar!”
“Hey, hey—” But before Carter could finished, the man shoved him, hard.
“Security!” I yelled, putting a protective hand over my belly. “Security!” And then without warning, the man grabbed Carter and shoved him into the wall, breaking the window with Carter’s body. “Help! We need help in here!” I yelled again.
Mark must have heard me before the guards because he came running into the room as people gathered outside to watch. “Hey! Get off of him. Get off of him.” He yelled as he pulled the man off of Carter. Once he cleared the man of Carter, I walked around the two and over to my boyfriend.
“Are you okay?” I asked, checking him over for any cuts.
“Yeah.” He groaned, wiping his face.
“Sir!” I heard Chuny yelled. “Sir!”
“He’s not breathing.” Mark exclaimed.
“We have to intubate?” Carter asked.
“Yeah, let’s get him to the bed, okay.”
I stepped back as a few other nurses came in, helping Mark, Carter, and Chuny lift the man onto the empty exam bed. I joined back in as they began intubation protocols. But we quickly realized that Dr. Greene must have broken his larynx when he wrestled him off Carter. Mark ended up having to trach him.
Once the man was stable, I pulled Carter into the suture room, my nerves still on edge from him getting thrown through a glass window. “I’m fine.” He groaned as I checked him over.
“Oh, absolutely not.” I warned. “You freak out every single time something happens to me. Now I get to return the favor.”
“Yeah, but you are the pregnant one, not me.”
“No, you’re just my boyfriend and I’m concerned for your wellbeing.” I removed his lab coat and checked out his arms and hands. Other than some glass in his hair, he was luckily okay. I let out a sigh of relief.
“Do I pass your inspection?”
“Yes, you do. You were very lucky.”
“In more ways than one.”
“Do you want popcorn or anything?” I called down the hall.
Carter had decided against going to the game after everything that happened at the end of the shift. I was honestly glad he did. My nerves were still pretty shot and it had been keeping the baby restless as well. Dinner and a nice shower had helped, but I really just wanted to spend a calm night in his arms. I adjusted the tie of my robe, situating it farther up over my bump so things didn't feel so tight. I was searching for something sweet before I went to go turn on the game on.
“Carter! Did you hear me? I said do you want—” I turned, and I closed my mouth. He was leaned up against the wall, watching me. His lower half was covered by a towel, his still wet hair falling into his face. He gave me a small smile before he walked over, grabbed my face gently, and kissed me.
“What was that for?” I asked, my voice breathy.
“Thank you for caring about me like you do.” He paused, moving a piece of hair behind my face. “I was always the one looking after others, their wants, their needs. It is nice to have someone care about my well-being too.”
I nodded as his thumb slowly dragged down my lip, causing them to part slightly. His hands slowly moved down to the collar of my robe, pushing it down until my shoulders were exposed. He bent down and slowly kissed a line from under my ear to my clavicle. My hands went to his head, fingers weaving through his hair as I enjoyed the stimulation of his touch.
It didn’t take long for the robe and towel to land on the floor, the game completely forgotten as he carried me to our bedroom.

Title: "Thorns and Thunderstorms"
Pairing: Diasomnia Dorm (Malleus, Lilia, Silver, Sebek) x Male Reader
Setting: Diasomnia Dorm, Night Raven College

---
The rain came in sheets over the spires of Diasomnia, thunder cracking like the roar of a beast. But inside the gloomy, gothic dorm, the warmth was surprising. Not the kind of warmth that came from the fireplace, but from the bonds you had made—unexpected, but genuine.
You weren’t sure when it happened exactly. Maybe it was when Sebek finally stopped yelling every time you got near Malleus. Or when Silver fell asleep beside you under the tree, trusting you enough to lean on. Or Lilia, who constantly teased you but always made sure you had an extra blanket, a warm cup of tea, or a surprise bit of advice at the worst moments.
And Malleus… his presence was like a storm itself—powerful, unpredictable, and yet strangely comforting. He didn’t smile often, but when he did around you, it felt like lightning illuminating a dark sky.
---
Scene: A Rainy Night in the Lounge
You were curled up on one of the velvet couches in the Diasomnia common room, flipping through a book. Thunder echoed outside, and you jumped slightly at a loud crack.
Malleus looked up from the fireplace, where he’d been watching the flames dance. “Do thunderstorms frighten you, Child of Man?”
You glanced up, giving a half-smile. “Not frightened… Just surprised. I didn’t expect thunder this late.”
Silver stirred beside you, eyes half-lidded with sleep. “It’s the perfect kind of weather for resting. You should sleep soon too…”
“I’d prefer not to be electrocuted in my sleep,” you muttered, earning a chuckle from Lilia, who appeared upside down behind the couch.
“Oh please, if lightning tried to strike you here, Sebek would scream it into submission.”
“I would protect Master Malleus first and foremost!” Sebek snapped from across the room—but then added with a huff, “...Though I suppose if you were in danger, I could intervene.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Thanks, I think?”
Malleus stood and walked over, the flicker of firelight casting his horns in dramatic silhouette. “You need not worry. No harm shall come to you here. Diasomnia is protected.”
“By four dragons, apparently,” you said, grinning. “Well, three dragons and a bat.”
Lilia gave you a mock-offended gasp. “Excuse you, I’m very intimidating.”
---
Scene: Later That Night
You found yourself alone in the hallway, heading back to your room when you felt a presence. Turning, you found Malleus silently standing behind you, eyes luminous in the dim light.
“You’ve settled in well,” he said quietly.
You nodded. “It’s starting to feel like home.”
He looked at you then—really looked. “I’m glad. It’s rare that someone outside of our dorm... fits so well.” He paused. “You are important to us.”
“To you?” you asked, a little breathless.
He nodded. “To me especially.”
There was a beat of silence, charged like the air before lightning. And then he smiled—a small, rare, soft smile.
“I would be honored if you stayed by our side. By my side.”
Your heart skipped a beat—but in the safety of Diasomnia, among thorns, storms, and dragons—you smiled back.
“I’m not going anywhere.”

Oh, she knew alright.
This had been an extreme show of exactly what to expect. Hyrule had been in an era of peace, since she'd sealed Ganon away. A seal she knew for certain now, hadn't broken. There was something else plaguing her dreams. But she was no stranger to death, she was exposed to it from a young age. She had seen her own father murdered before her eyes, when Ganondorf attacked the castle.
This was unimaginable. She had never been met with such relentless cruelty, not by any other than Ganondorf, and... her own father. He didn't go out of his way to kill, but she knew from an early age, her father was a terrible man. The way he treated other races, the way he found humans superior. It was wrong, on every level. She didn't have to be an adult to know that.
And there was nothing she could do to stop it. Not only was she a child, but she was the princess. She was to be seen, not heard. He never listened to her. Only Impa had been like family, and even that, had begun as obligation. The Sheikah were considered servants of the royal family. That was a term she hated. Servant. It was wrong, no person should be treated as property.
That was why she referred to those who maintained the castle as staff. She cooked for them, when she had the opportunity. A thanks for their hard work. They were given free stay in rooms of the castle. Luxury, for how hard they worked to keep things orderly. Hard work deserved to be rewarded.

"That man..."
It was all she could think about the whole time. Death, destruction, she was no stranger to that. What she was a stranger to, was the idea that there was someone with two forms of blood in their veins. Other than her pointed ears, Zelda very much looked as ordinary as any human. And Inuyasha did not. Someone who was of two separate lineages.
Someone like her.
"Half breed. What a cruel way to refer to someone..."
Were she not so stunned by the revelation, she would have chewed the guy out for daring to use such terminology. Injustice, she would never stand for it.
"Please, stand still for a moment. I want to get a closer look at you."
When he complied, she stood only a foot away. She studied his features, more closely than before. She could feel the demonic energy from him, she couldn't sense energy from a human. That wasn't something one of holy blood could do. But his features said everything.
His ears. His eyes were an unnatural color, and so was his hair. But his face, his body.

"I see now. You've got human blood, too. Not only do I see it in your physical features, I see it in your behavior. You're nothing like any of the demons we've come across here. You yelled at me when I fired an arrow. I see now, a full blooded demon would have tried to kill me. I never would have guessed..."
If there was one thing she could study, it was emotions. A princess was raised to read even the most stoic of faces. Not by expression, not even always by body language. Those things were easily hidden. It was by the air they gave off. By looking deep into their eyes. Those were things you couldn't hide, involuntary body responses, no matter how angry, or stoic one tried to appear.

"...Everyone in Hyrule is already aware, but I suppose I could not expect anyone from other countries to understand. Yes, I do have the blood of a human. As we refer to it in Hyrule, Hylian. But that is merely part of the native tongue. There's something else, though."
Though her tone was compassionate, her eyes looked into Inuyasha's in such a way that it may have looked like she was piercing his very soul. She was studying every single thing about them. Looking for any hint of emotion he may be trying to hide.

"I'll never be capable of fathoming the cruelty you must face every single day. Even if any knew the truth, I would never be called a half breed, though I also have two forms of blood. You couldn't tell, could you? The blood of the Goddess Hylia herself runs through my veins. I am not truly a human. I have the blood of a Goddess, as well. What you cannot see by naked eye alone, is only due to how I conceal it."
She couldn't let him be treated with cruelty. She was an opposite side of the same coin. Him half demon, and her with the blood of a Goddess. Carefully, Zelda removed the elbow length white glove on her right hand. It would be impossible for even those with poor eyesight, not to notice how her right hand held a golden glow.
The mark of the Triforce. Raising her arm, she gave him the opportunity for a closer look.
"...To have the blood of a Goddess, it was not my decision to make. It was not anything I asked for. This mark, it is a relic of the Gods themselves. The Triforce of Wisdom. The holy relic, the Triforce, was split in three, due to... my mistakes. Many raged war to obtain the power of the Gods, but only I knew where it lay. I ruined everything, and to repair it is an impossibility now. Until my final breath, this mark will glow on my hand. I will have a piece of the Gods in me. A Goddess, in mortal form. Such is my fate."
To the astute listener, there would be a pain in her voice as she spoke these words. What had been a stoic expression, was now a soft frown, as she lowered her arm. The glow of her hand, however, remained as bright as ever.
"Many see me as a messenger of the Goddess. Some see me as a form of deity. But I want none of these things. I am not to be praised. I cannot change what I am, so I make use of this power to protect my country. My role as princess is only prominent because I used this power to seal away the Demon King, thus, saving not only Hyrule, but the world from his wrath."
There's a pause. She hadn't meant to talk his ear off. In fact, Zelda was always the listener. But never before, had she the opportunity to express these feelings. She never had the opportunity to express any feelings. Her primary reason for this explanation, was in hopes that he didn't feel alone, even though he would always be seen as something to be hated, and she would be seen as a messenger of the Goddess.

"...Please, forgive me. I've not meant to go on for so long."
A princess was to be seen. To be an object of physical beauty. Not to be heard.
"I only mean to say, that I understand what it means to be different from those around you. It is merely the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm so sorry for the cruelty those people showed you. Had I known that was why they looked upon you with hatred, I would have spoken up."
@atimelesslullaby

"Hey, ya doin' okay? You've been quiet this whole time since we left the village," InuYasha tilted his head to glance at the woman walking next to him. He honestly hated moving at such a slow pace, but after his offer to ride on his back had been turned down, he hadn't much other choice. It was annoying, but he put up with it for now.
The village they had passed had been the target of a large scale demon attack. Although they had killed the demons, they had stayed to attend to the burial of a bunch of the villagers who hadn't made it, including some children who had been outside playing when the attack began.
And the reason for the attack, he knew, was likely that a lot of jewel shards were close. She had been able to sense them, but they were too far away, and without Kagome he hadn't been able to chase after Naraku.
But....it showed her exactly what they were fighting against. The demons were drawn to that power and never hesitated to slaughter, no matter who it was. And even though he had helped defend them, many of the villagers had stared at him with hatred and fear in their eyes. When they had finally left, one had shouted "get out of here half-breed!"
His ears had flicked, but he had huffed and ignored them. There was something in his eyes, but he hadn't said a word about it the entire time.

I think the biggest, sickest joke anything could ever happen to me was having covid for the first time last week, and I'm still trying to recover from it...
#personal#thanks to my mom's superiority complex because I kept telling her when she got sick to wear a mask around the house and take the test#and then the minute I got sick she took the test#and got a positive#and I didn't even have to take it to know that I got a positive too#and yep took the test and it was positive#and I could've potentially put my sister at risk#while she was most definitely putting my sister at risk because she didn't wear her mask#my mom feels bad but oh boy I cannot wait to tell her off once I get better because the way I was treated when I had the flu#and I got yelled at to stay in my room and do this and that while she thought she was right and had a common cold and thought nothing of it#can't wait to talk to my therapist about all of this thursday
