dr ratio's work was stolen by the ipc, and he dropped everything to try to get it back and erase all copies of it, as a world-destroyer is horrifically dangerous in the ipc's hands. at this point, he's just trying to take down the ipc.

sunday & robin were picked up by the ipc after their planet's destruction, and are currently stonehearts (anglesite & moonstone).

I don't believe Edgeworth was constantly suffering while growing up under MvK. (Honestly, I find it more interesting if there was love/admiration and trust in that relationship. It's what makes betrayal so much worse)

i love giving the life series people religious guilt. it’s the watchers being in secret life, martyn’s defiance against them and his death that followed. it’s bdubs being chronos god of time and also the god of the sun in empires. it’s -10 hearts for a failure as an act of self-flagellation, maybe by choice, maybe at the hands of the secret keeper’s puppet strings. it’s grian’s ‘the spectators want a fight’ , it’s scott’s becoming the stars he defied, it’s pearl living alone and dying alone despite her begs and prayers, it’s martyn, who is a listener, acting against fairness because the watchers are not fair to the listeners.

it is ananke, god of inevitability, of bonds stronger than blood an thicker of gravity. (listen to Ananke/‘i haven’t written this one yet but i’m sure i’ll think of something’ by The Narcissist Cookbook please the song fits the vibe of the series so well. very angst.)

Drew a concept of Primordial Chronos for @avaetin’s fanfic. Yes. He’s supposed to look like Percy.

It’s beautifully written and paced. And I’ll admit I was kind of skeptical of the idea of Primordial Chronos x Nico but after I read the first chapter, I was on board. (And not just because the author promised there would be one-sided nicobaster in it )

I highly recommend it!

So I've seen a good amount of people already talking about this, and I wanted to try my hand at putting some of the pieces together.

Chronos has a very obvious Egyptian motif in his design, but that's only where his parallels with another god from a whole other pantheon get started.

Let's talk about Osiris.

Osiris was a god of the Underworld, but he didn't start out that way. He was torn asunder. His pieces were then stitched back together again and placed on the throne.

In Osiris' case, it was Isis—his sister, wife, and goddess of, among many other things, magic—who restored him.

In Orphism (from which Supergiant takes much of its inspiration), there is Ananke, the sister and consort of the primordial Chronos and the goddess of inevitability, compulsion, and necessity. She is often depicted with a spindle, and in Orphism, she is considered the mother of the three fates.

Rhea stands as a contrast to these two. While she too was a goddess who was both wife and sister to another god, the highlight of her story is her defying her husband. By hiding their youngest child (Zeus) from Kronos, she's able to train him so that one day he can rescue his siblings from and dethrone his father.

Training up the youngest child in the family to defeat the forebearer that's imprisoned the rest—sounds like what Hecate's doing with Mel.

Speaking of Rhea, we know absolutely nothing about Zag and Mel's grandma; we don't know what happened to her, where she is, what she's up to, who she is, or even if she still exists.

It's interesting that this is the case when Hades 2 is a game that both focuses more on its female characters and has a more predominantly female cast than its predecessor.

And on another note, we've met a few characters whose abilities lend themselves well to deception. Circe, as in her myth, can change people into animals, as well as shift their sizes. Hecate can change people into sheep, and—fitting with her nature as the triple-faced goddess—is able to split herself into three. Even Chronos can subtly change his appearance so his enemies don't immediately recognize him.

With all that in mind, here's my crack question: do we know that Hecate's really Hecate? Or, alternatively, do we know that she's just Hecate?
