The Other Cursed Canadian Puppet Show

So, I introduced some lovely people to the horror that is Ananas from Telefrancais.

But there is another cursed Canadian puppet show, not as nightmare-inducing as Telefrancais, but still cursed.

And that would be Nanalan'. I can't even remember if there were actual words in it, all I know is that I had some episodes on VCR and felt like I was in a fever dream.

I think the message of this one is pretty clear but I’ll spell it out anyway. I see a lot about this world that gets me down constantly, but that doesn’t take away from the color and creativity inside me. I tried to express that idea with the split between color and monochrome. The blandness of real life is represented by grey a brick wall but juxtaposed against the wild colorful mess inside my brain.

The color palette of this was inspired by traffic lights and by Fruit Stripe gum.
