I'm currently unmotivated to write anything long and especially after the devs did us so dirty for the PVE announcement so here are some headcanons, imagines- whatever you want to call this to comfort me from the fact we're not getting the PVE we were promised 4 years ago

Overwatch crews

Slumber party whenever a mission is accomplished. Don't matter if everyone's weary as hell, with Lena and Hana running around you are sure to get yourself a slumber party every month. If said mission isn't a success though, it's more of  a chill hangout with the members of the team Hana, Satya and Angela will bring your ass to a shopping spree. Whether you like it or not so be prepared because with them, you're gonna spend the whole day out there. Honestly though, if you don't like it Lena, Fareeha and Brigitte are by the arcades or the sport terrain near the shopping alley. So whenever you feel like it, you can go there to play with them There’s another tradition going around, twice a month, a member of the team cooks for the rest of the crew. It started with Mei, Aleksandra and you talking about your culture’s food. Mei offered to cook for you two to taste Chinese cuisine which you gladly accepted. In return, you two would also cook your culture’s food. With time passing by, other members joined the tradition and now, Echo chooses who would cook for this month’s tasting food session It turned into a competition when Lena decided to vote for the best month’s food Mei, Ana and Brigitte for the moment are on the podium sharing the first place Lena and Hana have zero points. Lena almost burnt the kitchen once. Luckily, you were there to put out the fire She doesn’t have the patience to wait for things to cook For Hana, ever since she entered MEKA, she didn’t have the time to prepare food. The best she could do is boil water and put it on her noodles. Though, ever since she joined Overwatch, she has had a little bit more time so she takes lessons from Mei and Brigitte. Lena watches but never fully join because else, it’ll turn into a mess Every week, Vivian holds a shooting session training. The best shooter of the week gets a gift from her and is exempted from chores for the week Ana has been exempted from participating in this shooting session ever since she won five times in a row

Talon crews

Olivia doesn't stop her pranks, so either you decide to team up with her to prank the others or you go against her. If you prank her, she will at least remind you this once a  week. "Amigo/amiga, how could you do this to your best friend in the world?" sighs dramatically while placing an arm on her forehead "Can you believe this? My best friend, betraying me..." Or "oh no, the betrayal. Who could have foreseen  such an event?" Amelie is more often than not the victim of Olivia's pranks. It's gotten so bad one time Olivia and you couldn't set a foot near the base or she would snipe you from afar She's "kind" Enough to not use real bullets but let's say you had bruises for the following weeks Moira is a target you two don't prank because you've been under her wrath and let's just say, it's not pleasant at all Olivia does try to get all of you to enjoy some vacation time. She does separate Amelie and  Moira, because she knows Amelie is showing more and more emotions and she doesn't want her to return to that cold emotionless assassin Talon turned her into. So for her sake, she keeps Moira away from her When Olivia, Amelie and yourself are out for a mission or a vacation, Amelie will make sure to make at least one comment on the food. She grew up with the finest food so she knows what good food is or not. You once bought her a baguette from a supermarket, she did not appreciate it. She could have stopped if not for  Olivia's intervention "It's just a baguette, how bad can it be?" And that's how you all three didn't get any sleep because of Amelie's monologue on baguette Olivia is a lot more laid back so she takes you sightseeing and if she trusts you enough, she takes you to her hometown. She even lets you meet up with Baptiste.

No-faction Ladies

Kiriko

Kiriko is dragging your ass across the city and showing you the finest spots If you're dating, it's one of your monthly dates to walk around the city and discover new paths or stands/shops. Even if she knows her city like the back of her hand, she's still pleased you're enjoying showing her shops you like She also practices her kunai throwing with you. It’s a lot of fun for her to see you mess up so many times. Although, you get closer to the target with each training session and she holds great pride in seeing your progress She trusts you enough after some time spent together, as well as some missions done together, to show you the group in which she belongs: The Yōkai You spend some fun times with them and seeing as they all have some masks, you decided to craft one for Kiriko. Of course, it’s a fox one. Kiriko loves it so much she doesn’t wear it, in fear she breaks it but she places it in her apartment.

Junker Queen

Odessa doesn't get out of Junkertown a lot, if not at all since she got her Junker Queen title. So if you're travelling fairly often, you give her pictures of your travels. "Oi! You should take me out here, sounds lots of fun!" "I tried, you say you were too busy ruling things around here." "Ey, doesn't mean I can't get to travel from time to time with me partner." Every time you come back from your travels, whether it is for business or for yourself, you always tell how you trip went down. Of course, with pictures to accompany your story. Odessa finds it easier to follow if she has pictures in front of her

Ashe

Liz loves to experiment with her outfits, if you have any good idea she’s going to bring it to life. If one of your ideas doesn’t please her, she’s going to give you interesting feedback. She is a firm believer in constructive criticism She often asks BOB to watch over you when she’s gone for a heist but sometimes, it does seem like you’re the babysitter You teach BOB about some customs he might not have been aware of. It’s a lot of fun watching him learn new things

Bandit's Vs Spectres

It's the first game of the season, and the Colorado Bandits are set to play a new team entering the American Soccer League- the Scalex Spectres- a "corporately" sponsored team with players from all over the globe. The new team captain of the Colorado Bandits has her work cut out for her as it is, but she soon realizes that her adversaries are a lot more competent than she's prepared for. And a lot hotter than she was prepared for.

(I thought this song was perfect for this, I remember watching this in the movie theaters way back when, loved it and still do. The first time I saw a representation of some of my culture on that scale, such an underrated movie.)

- In any situation you guys are in, working together or having two different jobs? I don’t think it’d be a surprise when I say the first kiss happens very early into the relationship and they’re the one to initiate it.

- No coaxing or dancing around the subject, you’re getting kissed like three days into the relationship tops.

- If you guys work for Overwatch together, and y’all won a particularly rough mission after going back and forth with the enemy, emotions are high as the celebration of the triumph proceeds.

- It happens so suddenly, like you’re next to Venture, happy as a clam after putting your all into your fighting. Then, out of nowhere, you’re getting grabbed and pulled into a sudden and passionate kiss that leaves you stunned and flushed, silent as a church mouse when they pull away.

- You know that one scene in ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ Where Roger kisses Detective Valiant as if his life depended on it? It’s along the lines of something like that.

- You probably said something like, “I could kiss you right now!” After they saved you from getting pulverized and in their mind they went “Bet”.

- Trust me, they’re also kind of surprised that they actually did it—

- Time freezes for a moment as y’all kissed cause the team to go silent before an uproar from the particularly positive teammates— Causing even more cheering, especially if you have someone like Reinhardt on the team, he’d hype you guys up so much.

- That or if you guys are archeologists or simply have different jobs from one another it’s more private and Sloane can try to convince you that it was on purpose. But in Overwatch? Fuck no lol.

- The whole roster was like 80% sure you guys were a thing, but that went up 1000% when Sloane kissed you as if they needed it to breathe.

- Spreads like wildfire and by the end of the day everyone knows you guys are a couple, and a rather cute one on top of that.

- At least you guys don’t have to tell everyone that you’re a thing now.

- It makes Venture a little sad. They were planning something big to announce it cause they felt like it needed to be as special as they think your guys’s relationship is. They were biting back the urge to brag about it for 72 hours (the longest time they’ve ever kept something like that to themselves besides their feelings before you guys were a thing), all for naught.

- Reassure them it isn't a big deal and that if they look at it from a different perspective, the first kiss was a great way of doing it.

- They’ll spring back up when you say that, saying something like “Oh I planned to do it like that anyways!”

- You know, like a liar.

- Besides that little hiccup, it was a great first kiss, they wouldn't have it any other way.

- As one might expect, everyone has different views on the matter, with the positive ones that are like “Aweee look at them go!” And think it’s cute: (Ana, D.Va, Junkrat; a mix between neutral but more positive nonetheless, Kiriko, Lucio, Lifeweaver, Illari, Mei, Mercy, Reinhardt, Sigma; same as Junkrat)

- Neutral, like, “Oh, cool, congrats Ig”: (Brigitte; a bit more positive but still neutral, Baptiste, Bastion, Cassidy, Echo, Genji, Hanzo, Junker Queen, Orisa, Symmetra, Torbjorn, Solider 76, Roadhog, Sombra, Sojourn, Winston, Zarya, and Zenyatta: same as Brigitte but a bit more happy)

☀️ Hiiii, guys! I have the next chapter for you all! Sorry for not posting this for a while, writer's block hit me hard. I do hope you guys enjoy this chapter!

The next morning came with no issue, the sun rising over Watchpoint: Gibraltar and painting it in shades of blues and golds. A few birds filled the quiet with soft chirping, and the seas washed against the cliffs.

Sunlight streamed in through the windows of Juno’s room, warming her face as she curled up under her blanket. After a few moments, a small murmur escaped her lips and she stretched her legs out. Once her big red eyes opened, they fluttered for a few seconds, before closing as Juno sat up. Her purple sweatpants and pink long-sleeve kept her nice and warm last night, as she was still adjusting to cooler nights on this planet.

Juno’s legs hung off the side of the bed with her taking a few moments to adjust. Once she blinked a few times and stretched her arms, she slid her feet into her fluffy pink slippers and stood.

“Mornin’, Juno.”

A voice from the doorway made her open her eyes and look up, seeing Venture standing in the entrance. They wore a yellow tank top with a t-rex printed on it and a pair of brown shorts. 

Their chipped smile was a warm sight to see and Juno couldn’t help but chuckle a bit. “Good morning, Venture.”

Sloan placed a hand on their left hip. “How are you feeling, amigo?”

“Much better than I was when we last spoke,” came her answer. “I talked with Illari last night and she… she let me vent to her. I was just so overwhelmed last night, but talking with her… it grounded me a bit.”

“That’s good to hear, chica. I was worried about you both last night.” They beamed again and looked over their shoulder. “Illari’s already up, she gets up pretty early to train, so I talked to her a little too. She seems better this morning, not as tired as usual.”

Juno blinked in questioning. “Does she have a hard time sleeping?”

Venture nodded. “She’s got pretty bad insomnia. But she seemed more awake this morning when I saw her.” They stood straight from leaning on the doorway. “Tracer, Genji, and Mercy are making breakfast. Wanna join us?”

Juno nodded eagerly. “Of course! I would love to see what kind of food they make today. I love what they have made so far!”

Venture chuckled. “Sounds good. I’ll see you in the dining hall!”

The sounds of dishes and metal gently clanking together filled Juno’s ears as she made her way down the steps into the dining hall of the Watchpoint. Pleasant smells of all kinds of spices gently drifted into her nose, and when she made her way to the last of the steps, she could see why.

Mercy was stirring a wooden spoon in a large pot as Tracer added in a few white onion pieces. Genji was beginning to plate some of the food on the counters and from the pots and pans on the stoves.

Juno’s reddish eyes moved to the tables where chatter came from. She could see Ana, Pharah, Baptiste, Lifeweaver, and Venture at a table together. Mei, Cassidy, Zarya, and D.Va sat at the next table. Then, there was Brigitte, Torbjorn, Reinhardt, Mei, Sojourn, and Winston. Lucio was moving back and forth as Genji plated some of the food and rushed it to the tables.

Juno could see everyone chattering and sharing their good mornings, and Tracer and Mercy seemed to be working well together. It was… a warm sight to behold, as it reminded her of the mornings shared with her family back on the colony.

Reinhardt’s blue and white mismatched eyes suddenly found the martian’s and he let out a mighty chuckle. “There you are, Juno! We were waiting for you! Come, join us!”

The space ranger beamed and made her way towards one of the smaller tables, taking a seat between Pharah and Ana. She looked up and around at the faces greeting her, and a few little waves came from her.

Ana’s one visible eye followed her hand, before her smile came through. “Well, you seem much more cheerful this morning, najm alrimayati.”

Juno looked at Ana and tilted her head. “I do not think I have heard that phrase. What does that mean?”

“Shooting star,” the sniper answered.

“Ohhh. What language is that?”

“Arabic, my dear. I’m from Egypt and that’s what I speak.” Ana held her teacup gently and smiled. “I know you’ve been trying to learn more of our languages, and I’m sure Fareeha and I could teach you some Arabic, if you’d like.”

Juno nodded eagerly. “That would be lovely!”

Pharah leaned back in her chair with a grin. “You seem to pick up new info pretty quick, kiddo,” she stated with confidence. “You’re definitely a fast learner.”

“I try to be,” the ranger responded. “There is so much to know about this world, much more than I ever would have thought. Even though my father brought so many stories of Earth with him… it truly could not have prepared me for how beautiful this planet really is.”

Baptiste’s eyes met Juno’s. “Hey, maybe Niran here can teach you even more about it,” he spoke as he gestured to his partner. “He’s a botanist and knows about… well, everything you can know about nature.”

Lifeweaver’s goofy laughter came forth, making Juno smile even wider. “Of course! If there’s anything you want to know, feel free to ask me.”

The sound of a door opening nearby had Juno and a few of the others turning their heads to see who had entered the dining hall. A woman with dark hair in thick braids, her golden eyes shining in the morning light. The light of the sun behind her framed her figure in a way that reminded Juno of a stained glass mural, and her eyes couldn’t leave her.

Tracer happened to look up and greeted the girl with, “Heya, Illari! How was your training?”

Illari took a few steps in, moving towards the tables as she spoke. “It was nothing I couldn’t handle. I think the training bots in the range were struggling to keep up with me.” A rare sound, a chuckle, came from Illari’s lips, and how that sound made Juno’s heart soar for a moment.

Mercy responded with, “Well, we made your favorite breakfast: Butifarra.” She gestured to Genji and he took a plate with a breakfast sandwich on it to hand to the Inti warrior.

Juno watched as Illari took her food and moved to the tables, sitting at an empty one next to the table where the space ranger sat. She seemed to be distancing herself from the others as she began to eat.

Lifeweaver noticed the martian’s red gaze on the warrior and he could see the gears turning in her head. He recognized that look, the same sorta look Baptiste had had when he became more than enamored with the botanist. Lifeweaver gently placed a hand near Juno, catching her attention. He nodded in Illari’s direction, and luckily his message seemed to come across.

Illari took another bite out of her breakfast sandwich, barely noticing when footsteps came towards her. The sound of another sitting on the seat next to hers had her finally lifting her head. 

Juno looked into the warrior’s golden eyes as she moved her head up to see the martian. Those eyes… something about them was so enchanting and… she didn’t want to stare and seem rude, so Juno turned her head away. “I apologize, Illari. I… I was waiting to see if you would return so I could… keep you company?”

The anxiety in the space ranger’s voice was evident to the Inti Warrior, and she could see Juno fiddling with her fingers. She couldn’t help but watch her, and she finally spoke to lift that nervousness from the other. “I… I don’t mind.”

“Juno,” came Lucio’s voice as he moved to the table with a plate. “We thought you might like to try something from your family’s culture, so Lena made you this!” He presented Juno with a baguette filled with meats and some other savory ingredients. “It’s called… Bánh mì, if I remember how Mei pronounced it? I might be sayin’ it wrong though, so don’t quote me on that.” He chuckled and set the plate in front of Juno.

The purple haired girl blinked in surprise a couple of times, examining the sandwich. “...It is… certainly filled with a lot. What is in it?”

“Vietnamese sausage, cilantro, carrots, cucumbers, and a fancy sounding radish.” He chuckled lightly. “Asian names aren’t my speciality, so there’s that.” He stepped back towards the stoves, leaving Juno to try her food.

It took a second, but she eventually picked up the submarine looking sandwich, took a… rather big bite, and chewed.

Illari couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh when Juno’s face lit up in realization. “How is it?”

“It’s… amazing!” She took another bite, before swallowing and looking at the warrior with bright eyes. “There are so many good flavors in it!”

“That’s good.” Illari suddenly took her napkin and gently whipped Juno’s face with it, and that was when the martian realized how… warm the other’s touch was. It was… really pleasant, and she was frozen for a moment.

The warrior suddenly realized the other girl’s face and pulled her hand back. “Sorry, you had some juice on your face.”

Juno shook her head and smiled. “I do not mind. Thank you.”

The two then ate their respective meals as they listened to the other Overwatch agents chatter and socialize, Reinhardt’s booming voice being the loudest of them all. He seemed to be telling another story, which Brigitte seemed to roll her eyes at despite her adoring smile.

The noise didn’t seem to bother Juno or Illari, and the two ate in a comfortable silence between each other. It seems that they truly didn’t need to speak to enjoy each other’s company, and this was something Lifeweaver and Baptiste, as well as Cassidy, noticed. The four men looked at each other, before nodding and seeming to have the same thought.

The dining hall was filled with laughter and the morning came and went, before everyone went their separate ways for the day.

Juno had made her way to her quarters after her meal and changed into her space suit, and as she activated her anti-gravity boots, a knock in her doorway had her looking up.

Illari stood there, dressed in her full combat armor, her solar rifle in her arms. “Hey,” she murmured.

Juno’s red eyes met her golden ones again. “...Greetings, Illari. What’s going on?”

“I wanted to ask you something.”

“...And that would be?”

Illari took a small breath in, before asking, “Would you like to come train with me?”
