I think something that kinda ties the whole situation with garmadon and lloyd together is that, garmadon never really got the chance to be a father to lloyd, truly. The fandom often lauds garmadon for being a good dad but like, he kinda wasn't? Not because he didn't care or didn't try, but because he was absent for most of Lloyd's childhood (likely moreso than Misako was, despite that being a sticking point in the fandom), and about half the time that he was there was spent resigned to his own bitter fate and by proxy, resigned to Lloyd's. In response to his isolation, Lloyd idolized a false image of his father nearly as much as Harumi did. He romanticizes those precious few years where his father, uncorrupted, stood by him and gave him advice and support like he should have been all along. The rose tint of nostalgia and grief and regret push him to ignore the complex reality of the man. The reality that includes the self-destructive tendencies, the weight of his many past mistakes, the harmful morals never quite unpacked. His anger towards the ressurected version of his father is anger towards being forced to see an unavoidable truth - that this unempathetic, selfish, spiteful thing is and always was a part of his father too, and it does not slot neatly into the image of "sensei garmadon" he painted from his father's ashes.

I made this originally as a comment on a post on Reddit, but it seemed well liked, so I thought I’d expand on it a little and make it a post here on Tumblr.
Spoilers for Shadow of the Erdtree abound, don’t read any farther if you don’t want the ending spoiled.
I really loved a lot of the lore about Miquella up until the big reveal that he Miquellested Mohg, and was bringing back Radahn as his consort. I remember finding the crosses across the land, and then finding the one in the fissure, and seeing that he abandoned his love there, and man, that was so good, so chilling to see that Miquella, known for his compassion and kindness, had thrown that away. We were going from cross to cross, learning just how much he was willing to mutilate and change himself for godhood… only for him to cling to a childhood crush he had on his older brother. That’s lame. Like, really lame. And gross!
And Mohg. I know we joke about how he beat the allegations, but remember that he needed to wed an Empyrean for his plans to work out with the Formless Mother. These plans he already had in place before Miquella charmed him, since Sir Ansbach was already a Pureblood Knight working under Mohg before Mohg was charmed, meaning Mohg had already established the foundations of his dynasty. That means Mohg was going to go after either Miquella or Malenia, since they were the only Empyreans left, and tell me, which one sounds like the easier target, the small child, or the undefeated champion? Miquella was always going to be taken by Mohg, the retcon just exists to make Miquella look more morally questionable while stripping Mohg of a bit of his agency and villainous identity. The entire Mohg portion feels like a rewrite when the entire reason he was charmed by Miquella is because he had some unspecified way into the Shadow Lands, and it’s never really talked about ever again. Mohg’s entire purpose in this plan comes off as an afterthought, with no specifications as to why he was needed, other than a vague “he was needed.” Even the use of his body to resurrect Radahn is unexplained as far as I know, though I headcanon that it’s due to Radahn’s body being too rotted after the centuries of Scarlet Rot infecting it, and they needed a demigod’s body, so Mohg was the only one to use available, but it would have been nice if that had been explained.
Godwyn would have been better as a final boss, and it didn’t even need to be actually Godwyn to work, since I know some people don’t think that would work from a lore perspective since his souls is gone, and his full return would wreck the Duskborn ending. Of course, “gone” is weird way to put it, since his soul isn’t destroyed, it’s in whatever afterlife exists in Elden Ring and just not being reincarnated like everyone else who dies after the rune of Death was removed, so Miquella could maybe work a way to get him back. The DLC is in the Shadow Lands, where all things that die pass through, after all. Get rid of Mohg being brainwashed, but keep his body being used so that Sir Ansbach, one of the best NPCs, still has a quest to follow in putting Mohg’s body to a proper rest. It also makes sense, Godwyn’s body is really messed up, bloated, and multiplying all over the Lands Between like a cancer, and can’t be used for ressurection.
Still, I think a failed Godwyn would be better. Maybe we skip the whole Promised Consort part, and just have it be the first act of Godhood Miquella does, because ew, am I tired of the incest surrounding Miqella’s character. Godwyn The Golden starts the fight off back in his prime, doing loads of attacks infused with Holy damage, coming off as the perfect and powerful Demi-god he’s always stated as being in the lore. Then he starts falling apart at phase 2, his phase 1 attacks being switched to being ghostflame infused rather than holy, Miquella now on his back and any new attacks added to phase 2 take on the holy affinity due to his presence. Then phase 3 hits, no holy infinity at all, all attacks do ghostflame or deathblight buildup. Deathblight is already so underused, so it would be great here. Godwyn is falling apart faster the more we fight, and Miquella, holding on, is getting hurt by the ghostflame and deathblight while desperately trying to keep his beloved brother together.
Have the fight set during an eclipse, too, sorta like the final boss of Dark Souls 3, the Soul of Cinder. Really tie it into the lore of Miquella trying to bring Godwyn back, like we find out at Castle Sol, where he had hoped to use an eclispe. I’d even say to make the light from behind the eclipse change color as the fight rages on, starting off bright and holy, and change it to the horrid dark grey and sickly yellow that deathblight has by the third phase, so rather than the arena getting brighter than a flash bang like it is in canon, have it get darker and gloomier. And of course, after the fight, the eclipse has faded entirely.
Instead of a cutscene that is nothing but information we already know(Seriously, what was even the point of the cutscene we got? It gave us not a single piece of new information), Miquella is lying on the floor, mostly dead, much like Morgott after we beat him in Leyndell. He isn’t dying because of us(honestly, I don’t even know why he died in the DLC, he’s so high up on Radahn’s back we never really get a chance to hit him directly, but he dies when Radahn does for whatever reason), instead he’s dying from clinging so tightly to Godwyn and trying to hold him together, burned by ghostflame and deathblight. He laments that even as a god, he wasn’t able to fix anything. Not his sister, not his brother, not the Haligtree, none of his plans ever work. No matter the sacrifices, personal or otherwise. He’s a failure in every way, and the knowledge breaks him as he sobs and dies.
However, if you visited every cross before the boss fight, you can absorb the essence of Miquella’s discarded body, and if you beat him then, you’ll get the option to return his discarded flesh and emotions after the fight. Doing so heals him, and gives him back everything he discarded, like his love, his fears and doubts. He fades away into light particles, and if you sit at the grace in the arena, he’ll appear like Melina does, sitting across from you and with a healed character model. This gets a few bits more dialogue, some exposition, yadda yadda. He’s a god without a consort, you’re a lord without a throne. He’s unsure, and not confident it will work, but maybe if you work together, something good can come of this tragedy? Giving up now would just be spiting in the faces of everyone he’s hurt. You’re strong enough to stop him if he loses his way again. (I think the reason he chose Radahn in canon was because of his strength and kindness? He trusted Radahn to do what was right after he threw away his love and compassion, entrusting Radahn to lead him down the right path when he lacked those things, and to be strong enough to resist his charm. That’s again entirely headcanon due to our lack of knowledge about their vow, but I’m adding it here because this is MY fanfiction and I can do whatever I like!)
(This part is more of a personal bit I’d have liked added because I find it amusing, rather than because I think it would make it better. Remember when you go through all that trouble to find Fia, and she asks if you’ve come all this way to kill her, and you can just say “No, I want to be held,” and it’s the funniest chunk of text you get in game? I really wanted something like that with Miquella. He wants to know why you came all this way, entered the Shadow Lands, a sealed off region of the world where only death awaits, where you fought against insurmountable odds, all to get to Miquella, presumably to stop him, only to heal him at the last moment, in which you can straight up tell him to his face you want to be his consort, and he’s just as confused and amused as Fia was. He knows you aren’t under his charm, but still he questions if it’s possible you are if you went this far just for that.)
This unlocks a new ending for the base game, the Age of Compassion. You summon Miquella like you would Ranni after beating Elden Beast, and together you usher in a kinder world, this time without the brainwashing. Or maybe with the brainwashing. Or perhaps it’s vague about the brainwashing, and if this is a good or bad ending in classic Fromsoft fashion. I’d prefer no brainwashing, and Miquella still unsure if things will work out, with it ending ambiguous if the Age of Compassion lasts, or fumbles and falls to a world blind to it. All you and Miquella can do is hope it will be better.
That might be a lot to ask, but look, it’s the only way I’ll ever get to live out my fantasy of being fought over by a cold, goth witch gf and a soft femboy twink with hair longer than I am tall, okay?

Why Bruce and Jason can't have a relationship we all want them to have
Disclaimer: I mostly ignore things that new-52 changed about their backstories bc new-52 is dumb when it comes to it
The thing about relationship between Jason and Bruce is that their upbringings were so different, and they both are so stubborn, they never could've agreed on some things.
Bc let's be real. Bruce went through a traumatic even as a child, and that was terrible. But before, he had two loving parents, and even after, he is a white, rich man. He is the definition of privilage and that's what made him Batman. I assure you, if he was poor, or even in middle class or whatever, he would never become Batman. Not only for a lack of funds.
On the other hand, we have Jason. From comics, even if fandom kinda streches it, his parents did everything they could. Jason for sure loved them, taking from his reaction at Willis's death, and everything about Catherine. We know he loved them, and they loved him. There is no hint for abuse in his early life (beside new-52 but new-52 is dumb), even if classist beliefs make us assume that. They had many problems, not much money, and Catherine was sick, and later an addict. So even in their poor financial status we can assume Jason's childhood was as good as it could be. He never complained about it, at least. Also, I personally headcanoned it earlier, and in the Hill it was pretty much confirmed, that Jason's latino.
That leaves us with two differences between them already, that gives them opposed perspectives on life. Bruce could never understand Jason's life no matter how he tried. Then, we have Catherine's death. It's a similiarity. Traumatic even where they lost their parent/s. But it's also very different. Even in their reactions we can see how they're not the same. Because as Dick's and Bruce's were similiar, Jason was complitely different.
Jason knew he doesn't have time for grief. He did what he had to keep himself alive, and took care for himself, that he in some way did already. He even menaged to do well for himself. We know that he survived on the streets alone for at least few years, and didn't really need Bruce's help for that. Although survival is not the same as life.
The other, propably more important thing: there was noone to blame for Catherine's death. He could blame her dealer, but he didn't really murder her. Dick and Bruce had the person that murdered their parents. They wanted revenge and they worked for it. Jason hadn't had anyone to take revenge on. He had no one to avenge.
Then, Jason got adopted, and could taste Bruce's life in some way. He learned how it is to have money to throw everywhere, and be priviliged for high quality education, food and entertainment. His poin of wiev on it was of course screwed up, but he got to expirienced it. Also saving people. Because saving people is a privilage.
If you struggle to keep yourself alive, you can't keep the others alive, unless you have a martyr complex. We, as animals, are programmed to keep ourselfs going no matter what. We have to be our own priorities, and if you can prioritiez others it's because you no longer need it for yourself.
Anyway, Jason saw how it is to be Bruce. To be a hero. But Bruce bever knew how it is to be Jason. How to be anyone that's not him. He can have empathy, he can try everything, but he could never understand. Some things you can know only if you expirienced. The same way I know I, however I want to, I will never really understand some things.
Also the whole thing with dying. That's important to. Jason knows how it is to die. He knows how it is to kill. Bruce doesn't know either.
Anyway, it's all kinda messy, but the point is - they could never see eye to eye in some matters. They can try, but especially after Jay's ressurection, they can never have a relationship we wants them to have, not in canon, at least.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Don't mind me, just rambling
Sometimes, I see childhood!Wei Wuxian and think "wow, the untreated ADHD is really powerful with this one". And then I see him post ressurection as mo xuanyu and go "wow, he really be suffering from that lack of oxygenated brain" and then I pause and think.
"Wait. holy crap... Did mxtx purposely make him TBI (traumatic brain injury) -coded?? Did she understand that, as he wouldn't be in his original body, the ADHD wouldn't've followed him, but mxy being legally dead for who knows how many minutes (aka, no oxygen/blood flowing to the brain) before the soul of wwx completely merged, WOULD cause a whole load of similar symptoms but with less executive dysfunction??"
Because if that was on purpose, I am blown away at the attention to detail. And if it wasn't on purpose... I'm still blown away at the difference! Not to mention, the more stable he became with support from Lan Wangji the less debilitating his symptoms were to him.
And I was already shook by Lan Wangji, Jin Zixuan, and Jiang Cheng's autism-coded personality clashes. It's not often we see (accurate) portrayals of when two (or more) neurodivergent characters clash, usually there's more emphasis on solidarity vs neurotypicals. There's no "trauma-bonding", no "coming to a truce through marriage", no "I hate socialising, you hate socialising, let's avoid it together". And it's accurate, because when stuff goes down and they need to work together, there's no hesitation because the expectation is that- well, they need to handle the shit that hit the fan. And when all is over and done with? They don't fall under the societal pressure to bond with each other, there's no need. They did their jobs, they're good.
Mxtx is just really damn good at writing complex characters with complex neuroses. I ain't even touch how you can almost always tell who's the "coded" ones in her stories and they're not all the same character archetype. It's glorious.
#the hippo speaks#mdzs#mo dao zu shi#wei wuxian#lan zhan#lan wangji#jiang cheng#jiang wanyin#jin zixuan#not mentioned but a standing ovation for best jiejie jiang yanli for accommodating not one not two but THREE neurodivergent men#in their own individual ways??#she would've been SUCH A GREAT SECT LEADER'S WIFE ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚

REBY'S HEADCANONS FOR THE ANGLERS
WOHOOOOOO I was impatient to make this post! Back in the day I was afraid of even saying "I think this character would like pancakes a lot!", and now here I am, taking these silly goobers with 0 material to work with and slapping on them my wildest ideas.
ENJOY!!!!!!!
🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
Angler (He/She)
27 years old
AMAB Intersex Cis man (that's why I added the lure to him), Demiace Gay
Florida man literally and metaforically, one of his wild shenanigans ended up with his arrest from Urbanshade in 2015
Sometime in the late 2010s she managed to open a YouBlox (Roblox's equivalent of Youtube) channel, his videos are mostly unedited vlogs but lately he has a quite popular series of exposés on me (My goofy ass is causing trouble all around the Hadal Blacksite yippieeee)
Has one-sided gay-lesbian solidarity with Pinkie (She thinks he's dumb as rocks)
Pinkie (She/her)
30 years old
Cis woman, Lesbian
If the Blacksite was an office, she'd be the manager. She's the one coordinating the Squiddles' placement in rooms as you play your run, through walkie talkies stolen from dead guards
Despite wearing heels, her steps are quite silent. If you hear her coming, it's just her imparting orders or yelling at Angler for missing you for the 100000th time (one-sided gay-lesbian hostility yayyyy)
Was caught by Urbanshade in 2014 after CCTV recorded her killing a guy the way she kills you in-game (sudden damage to the nervous system)
Froger (They/She)
24 years old
Transfem Demigirl, Sapphic (she knows she likes girls but the other genders are a weird mystery)
Shy, they were a bit hesitant at first to join the murder party started with the containment breach. Was convinced by Pinkie to run around and kill expendables
Probably the only one who wasn't fish-like from the start. She attempted to take HRT in secret, but the estrogen she bought from one sketchy site was the reason she transformed into what she is now. Their mother called Urbanshade on them in 2018
The reason she rebounds is because she's paranoid she isn't doing a good job at hunting (YES YOU ARE BABY YOU'RE DOING GREAT)
Frog lover since childhood, they stiched lil froggies and lilypads to her overalls.
Blitz (He/They/It/Xe/Dash)
17 years old
AMAB Bigender (Boy + Rainbowdashcharic, a xenogender connected to Rainbow Dash), Abrosexual
Has went through the "homophobic middleschooler to queer 2020 alt kid" pipeline
Pre-Urbanshade was stuck in foster care hell, has run away from foster families a few times. Last time he did, in 2019, he accidentally killed someone and they got caught by Urbanshade
Has a Rainbow Dash plushie! She is Blitz's idol and has been their beacon of light back in foster days.
I kid you not, dash is LIVESTREAMING his hunting rushes on RoTwitch. You will die to him and he'll scream "CHAT I GOT ONE!!!!" to his phone, and chat gets spammed with stickers and keyboard smashes in capslock. Ig this silly billy gets a few bucks from it, mostly to bribe researchers into buying alt fashion and stuff.
Chainsmoker (He/Fin/Tide/Kelp)
56 years old (tide is OLD)
Seagender Thalassagender (xenogender elder rep :3), Bisexual
Was found dead in 2004, but he revived due to the sudden appearance of the Paranoia Box inside him (and he gets all of the effects!). Attempts to remove the box have failed, but a medicine to stave off the effects by "deactivating" the box has been developed.
As you can imagine, the Chainsmoker you see ingame is unmedicated from the POV of my headcanon. Sebastian esorted Chain into not taking the meds to obstacolate the hordes of expendables coming in.
Didn't smoke before kelps death and ressurection, it's an habit fin picked up to cope with the fumes' effects while Urbanshade was developing the medicine.
Parental figure to Blitz, and in a situationship with Pandemonium (found family yippieeee)

Thoughts about Nea, past!Allen and the next chapter
long post, spoilers under the cut
Okay so I've always wondered why Nea gave up on Allen as his ally so quickly. Allen was one of his closest allies besides Cross and Tim till the time of his death right? He even gave up his body so Nea could execute his masterplan.
Yes, Allen did lose all his memories(or did he?) and somehow ended up in the Black Order. But we know Nea can show him his memories so he should also technically be able to show him past!Allen memories that were locked away? Or atleast memories of himself with past!Allen?
Allen would definitely be torn and overwhelmed and confused after but everyone who has known the "other side of the war" has taken Nea's side so far. And Allen even went so far as to become Nea's vessel in the past. He would definitely take his old friend's side again right? Or even seek out some sort of a middle ground?
Why didn't he do that then? Nea watched all of his memories since Cross started tailing him and Mana. Wouldn't it be easier to have Allen half-cooperate during the little time he has left, instead of having him actively work against him?
There's so much emotion in this one panel here. Confusion, worry, pain, anger, desolation, and maybe even a hint of guilt?
Its like... he just didn't wanna disturb the little equilibrium Allen had managed to create in his life? The little community he had found in the Black Order?
I mean if we think abt it Nea never really wanted to parasitize Allen in the first place(or atleast that's what I think the evidence so far implies). It was just the only option available to them back then. They needed Nea's powers to thwart the Earl & the Noahs' plans. And if Nea died then the Earl would just absorb(?) him and there would be no stopping him after that.
And I think giving up on Allen as an ally was Nea's way of being kind to him. Of returning the favour. Being his ally isn't an easy or pleasant job from what we've seen so far. And Allen would've disappeared anyway from the moment past!Allen transferred Nea's memories to himself. After seeing his attachment to the Order and the friends he made there, maybe he just wanted Allen to disappear with pleasant memories he made at the Order rather than the gruesome memories of being Nea's ally.
This panel in particular is so sad. He was able to give up on Allen as an ally so easily because he still had Tim. Tim was his last remaining ally and then he wasn't. And its particularly cruel how Hoshino pulled this off. He says that he doesn't need anyone else as long as he has Tim and just a few chapters later Apocryphos kills him. Nea must be used to losing allies by now but Tim really was the last real friend he had left(hoshino you cruel cruel woman)
Also the way Link's just bomb dropped the news abt tim?
Imagine hearing your last friend/ally died from some rando and then not even getting the time to process it because your arch enemy's ressurection shows up and somehow has your face? And then you get yeeted back into brain breakroom just as you were about to start beefing with him and the next time you wake up you're in your childhood home which you have mixed, complicated feelings for.
And that's not even getting into the whole 'tim chose allen over nea' thing.
Also if Allen goes back to the mansion and finds Bookman, he's guaranteed to find out atleast part of his past if not the whole. And he would definitely demand to know more from Nea. Will he accept Allen as his ally again now that Tim is gone? Will he accept Link as well? Will he try to kill Johnny again? Will he even be stable enough to consider future plans? Will we ever see Lavi again? We find out next month :D
Or we don't
(I also have a theory abt the Bookmen having the ability to transfer memories but that one's for another time)
Thanks for reading!!!
#day 3615 of me being absolutely normal abt nea#everyone say f in the chat for nea#boyyo just can't catch a break#this kinda ended up rantier than i'd like but oh well#i understand that this is very hc-heavy so if you don't agree feel free to scroll past :D#nea d. campbell#nea d campbell#allen walker#past!allen#dgm#dgm spoilers#d gray man#d gray man manga#text#🍀#when will lavi return from war

oh boy do i have feelings about azran and its such a mixed bag even i dont understand what i think about this experience
im gonna start with the most baffling - i assumed by "you will die" aurora meant the ship will fall and crash??? i did NOT expect them all (including 11 YEAR OLD luke!!!!) to just immediately drop dead...the poor child has been through death and ressurection and a lifetime of traumatic loss experiences, no wonder clark took him away 😭
also regarding the pacing i think a lot of people said it but the "open world" mechanic was sooooooooo bad for the plot (and it wasnt even that fun tbh), all the tension dropped suddenly and i even could take breaks from playing which is unheard of...there were many interesting setups with sycamore and aurora and generally seeint as this is more parentsl relationship oriented game, hershels and lukes parents but it was so scarce and not realised at all because of the order
also whats up with descoles wife and child.......i thought i was tripping balls but his profile confirms it........i knew he was sycamore all along because the butler guy but the "dead daughter" was such a red herring since i assumed thats his targent arch nemesis origin story???? ans then he drops his childhood lore and never mentions anything about anything again wtf descole we need answers
also obviously hershel got his moms eyes but its interesting that descole's were red from the beginning while bronevs turned red after he had gone mad (so after losing his wife since when she died he still had his green eyes)
i guess there could be an interesting underlying convo about nature vs nurture if it wasnt a layton game with crammed finale and regardless of that quite interesting how descole is shown to (at least physically) resemble his father and then they both descend into madness
i also unlocked a memory aurora-style that i saw info about laytons "true" (or i guess dead name lol go off trans king) name years ago before knowing anything about the games and its a wonder i didnt retain that piece of info until i finished the game (tbh he does look like a theodore, gotta give him that)
the transition into curious village bad me almost screaming too that was actually really fun i liked that
idk how i feel about azran story itself, its kinda cliche? not to say its bad, i like the idea behind hope for humanity but the backstory was so flat and layed out in one go that it was dissapointing for me
i saw people say its very similar to laputa (which i cant confirm aince i watched it 10 years ago) but i also think aesthetic wise its similar to botw with blue lighrs and whatnot which is also a fun tidbit, i wonder if it comes from specific japanese ciltural understanding of ancient civilizations or if its just something thats going on in japanese game and animation separately from historical background
also bronev knowing layton is his child was kinda weird abd anticlimactic....i guess there is only one guy with beaded eyes in london and i wouldnt say their last convo was bad but imagine how it would hit him to realise his children were actually there all along??? much more impactful imo
now im salty we got a katrielle game instead of emmy or descole game. i demand justice for emmy and descole!!!!!
#me yapping#professor layton#professor layton spoilers#professor layton and the azran legacy#its like 3am i should sleep...

i have some theories for jojolands
This is in regards to Dragona Joestar and how they might become the main antagonist.
I came up with a few scenarios, some of which can be combined together, as to how Dragona would end up going against their brother.
Dragona becomes a villain to enact revenge against Jodio. Jodio does something that harms Dragona or goes so far with something that Dragona wants revenge against their own brother. It could be that Jodio had a justified reason for his actions but Dragona refuses to accept it, or maybe Jodio was framed for his actions, but nothing can convince Dragona to believe their brother's truth. Regardless, the two siblings have a fallout over this, and Dragona probably convinces the rest of the gang to turn against Jodio or leaves the group to spend the series sending enemies to Jodio before finally facing him. Maybe, we find out how influential Dragona really was in the crime world and how they use it to their advantage against Jodio. In this scenario, Dragona sees Jodio as someone who must be punished and killed for what he did, whether he even did it or not, and either never knows the truth or knows the truth too late. This feels like the most obvious, easiest ending that could result in an expected fight between family members given what we know about the siblings.
Dragona becomes a villan by trying to save the world from Jodio. Whether it be that Jodio's actions become harder to justify or Dragona ends up being manipulated or brainwashed by someone else during the series, they see that their brother is purely evil and cannot be saved or changed with just love or reasoning. Selflessly and possibly through an epiphany, they feel obligated to apprehend their sibling for the good of the world, maybe feeling regret that they were unable to prevent it from the start, and now need to stop Jodio at all cost. This ending doesn't need to be driven by revenge but it could be a contributing factor that led to the ultimate fight. Dragona ends up dying but thinking they were doing the right thing the whole time and never realizing they caused more harm than good in the end. Maybe, they thought they succeeded in turning Jodio into a good person and dies believing they succeeded. Whether Jodio forgives them for never realizing the truth is up to interpretation.
Dragona becomes a villain because they simply snapped and self destructs. Compared to Jodio, Dragona seems to be the most cautious and, as an older sibling to a psychopath, spent their childhood being expected to be the responsible older one and dealing with Jodio's behavior. They are the older sibling trying to keep everyone in line. Dragona spent years pleasing people, keeping out of trouble, and taking accountability for Jodio and others in situations where someone should have taken their own accountability instead. Years of enduring this life can cause anyone to eventually break. Once they snapped, we get to see a more deranged, insane version of Dragona that is different from what they used to be: more unpredictable, risky, sadistic possibly, and unstoppable. Jodio is no longer a brother but instead a competition, a pest that needs to be beaten and destroyed at all costs. What the siblings are competing could be one or many things: money, a parent's approval, a reputation, etc. In this scenario, Dragona takes more of a Dio role and Jodio probably becomes more like Jonathan instead.
Dragona dies but their clone is created and becomes a villain instead. Based on an observation with The MATTEKUSASAI; no clone of the Stand has been perfect or an exact copy if you think about it. Dragona dies halfway through the story in this case but is then "ressurected" as a clone. Whether this was Usagi's intention or a flaw that simply could not be controlled, this new version of Dragona is mentally altered to consider Jodio as an enemy meant to be betrayed and destroyed rather than an ally that was their brother. Maybe, they are an exact replica that simply showed Dragona's true intentions hidden underneath their predecessor's persona. Maybe, they are reprogrammed to destroy Jodio at all cost. Alternatively, the clone could have been made against Dragona's will, possibly a zombie that still has Dragona's consciousness begging to rest in peace, and Jodio needs to end the clone's life; in that case, the clone might become an enemy by simply wanting to exist as their own and fight for that chance at living.
Dragona has always been the villain and Jodio is the real victim. Note that the story has been mostly through Jodio's eyes and he seems to think highly of Dragona. But, it brings a possibility that Dragona isn't who we think they ate. In this scenario, we learn that Jodio's ASPD diagnosis was switched with Dragona's diagnosis, either accidentally or intentionally, which would explain why the results seem sketchy for a 15-year-old but not if Dragona took the test at 18 and the results switched. Dragona is revealed to be the real psychopath with ASPD who is capable of hiding their true emotions and manipulating others while appearing to be the "sane" one in comparison- us readers won't pick it up until it is too late. Dragona secretly spent years making Jodio feel bad because of his supposed issues and this was actually the long game for Dragona to pursue "the mechanisms" for themselves. Jodio is the one abused by a psychopathic sibling instead and is torn between loving Dragona or letting them go. Even after the end of the series and knowing the truth, guilt is inevitable but Jodio may be able to find his peace after surviving.
One of the things I noticed with Dragona is how similar they are to Jonathan in a sense that both are the older of the siblings and both have some sort of code-of-conduct they follow; Jonathan aspires to be a "gentleman" and Dragona apprehends their teammates when they do certain actions like steal from Iko Iko or Rohan's house. Jonathan particularly ceases all good faith towards those he deems irredeemable or pure evil; who knows if Dragona has a similar philosophy as well and Jodio doesn't become an exception.
Anyways, having Dragona as a villain would really be a game-changer, as it goes against the sort of family-bond theme that the Joestars have but does call back to how the feud between Jonathan and Dio led to the events up to part 6 .

Also that whole thing about Alecto having been sent - does jod call her Annabel because he FASHIONED HER AFTER A DOLL HE LIKED IN HIS CHILDHOOD ??? She said her nose was too small and her ears too short. Fucking men, man - to help John save the world but he only gives her form after he's taken all the death energy from NUKING THE WHOLE FUCKING PLANET ??? Like she is so much more than John will ever be. He said it himself. She isn't human - she's like a Ressurection Beast but not feral (?). He ate through all the other planets and made them evil. You know Alecto in Greek mythology was a judge of morality. And John said he never wanted to lose the moral high ground. He was never good or kind, I don’t think. Psychopath. Just knew what people wanted. Knew what he wanted. He took this essentially feminine power and trapped it - but then, how does Anastasia know about her? He killed all his hands and fingers - how did they come back, and when? How can she still love him?

Analyzing each SMTIVA Goddess
As I discussed in this previous post, the Goddess shouldn't necessarily meant to be taken as Dagda ressurecting one of Nanashi's partners with their state of mind right before they died and/or under a 'brainwashed' state.
The difference between Dagda reviving Nanashi&Flynn compared to the partners is that the latter is being done from scratch rather than just healing wounds. And if Dagda is making a person from zero, a body alone won't suffice. He needs 'someone' to remember the soul and reshape as how they were. This is particularly useful to consider as reincarnation is a thing in the SMT4 duology, thus a soul could have infinite shapes.
The Goddesses in Massacre are stated in-game to be Nanashi's memories, in other words, 'ideas', 'interpretations', or 'impressions' that Nanashi had of them when alive.
This means that they could come from different periods from when Nanashi knew them. So many possibilities can be made.
Asahi is seen by many as the 'default Goddess' as she not only is the partner with the biggest emotional factor to be chosen by Nanashi, but she's also the one that you never fight against.
Childhood friend, sibling, lover, whatever it be, you knew and cared for each other the longest out of the cast.
If you side with Dagda in your very first run, it's noticeable that she'd be the only partner that won't have the Awakening Skill (which would strongly inhance her healing if she had it). In other words, her Mediarama would be lacking.
Even putting that aside, she still would be frustrating to be around if you're attempting to summon demons exclusive to fusion accidents due to her AI immediately casting Posumudi on your team (having you and your fodder material sick improves the chances for fusion accidents, remember?).
For these reasons mentioned, it can be stated that a Massacre run with Goddess Asahi would be the least helpful or resourceful one. Very characteristic of our little Asahi.
Anyway it doesn't take a genius to interpret this ending specially with the last particular line your partner gives you as something akin to gods giving birth through divine means.
But the real point behind this post is comparing the different flavors of what each union in this route produces.
Toki's vibe seems more of a possessive Goddess despite both girls meaning the same thing in their dialogue. Fair enough, we're talking about someone that attentively watches Nanashi when he takes a nap.
Fitting to her Cosmic Egg dialogue as she was possessed by Inanna, Toki was the partner that would represent this fertility element in the most explicit way.
As attentive fans might have felt, the Chaos alignment in SMT preach for 'one's return to its roots'. The Ring of Gaea wear ancient Japanese clothes and follows the might of the strong while praying for gods that came prior to the God of Law aka YHVH. Many of the Japanese Gods in the franchise originally belonged to the Chaos alignment for this reason.
It's important to have this in mind to understand the nuance of Toki calling Nanashi "Master". She is basically using an archaic way of a wife referring to her husband, and of course one will immediately put the last piece of the puzzle together: Flynn, the one with Samurai mannerisms, is also conveniently using an archaic way to refer to a Lord since he thinks of himself as Nanashi's subordinate in this ending.
If you pick a male partner for the Goddess role, this extra dialogue plays followed by the partner being particularly surprised by your choice.
Hal is usually not considered in the 'harem' as Asahi and Toki since the girl duo is explicit in several levels above him but... when you think about it, it still makes sense for Hallelujah's character. He blushes multiple times, allows Nanashi to vent alone with him, even goes far as showing annoyance at the prospect of Nanashi showing interest on girls and viceversa.
He is a shy boy whose only reference in his life have been hot-bloodied Ashura-kai he grew up around, so he is just more subtle about it. Don't take a Yakuza affectionately calling you 'bro' as nothing.
I decided to group Asahi, Toki and Hallelujah together because they are the trio with the most, let's say... closeness and emotions-resembling-romance in one-on-one interactions towards Nanashi.
With the most crucial evidence being their final phrase conveying their desire towards the act of childbirth itself for you.
OHHHHHHHHH HOLY MOTHER OF NTR
Regardless of your interpretation concerning how Flynn and Isabeau saw each other, she being Flynn's last living teammate and her devotion towards giving assistance to his savior role grouped with she being neutral at best and being secretly disgusted by Nanashi at worst produces a not very... wholesome picture of this scenario.
If anything, the main reason one would think for why Isabeau continued to place trust on Nanashi's party had more to do with Asahi's presence. Isabeau as a partner is highly valued for her good skills in early game but she interestingly doesn't have close interactions with Nanashi as she has with Asahi.
The messiest element of all is that while Isabeau refuses to let Flynn kill her if Flynn sides with Law or Chaos out of not wanting his hands to get dirty, she will give no dignity to Nanashi and lets the young Hunter do as he pleases with her.
To which one cannot help but think as they watch this ending: Nanashi's memories of Isabeau aren't of warmth or friendship as he'd have for any of his other partners. These memories of Isabeau are based on how he watched Isabeau act towards Flynn.
This Goddess choice was made purely out of spite.
Due to what? Her coldness? Her refusal to think for herself aside mostly working for Flynn's sake?
Or simply to twist her into becoming his own tool instead of Flynn's?
Now start noticing the difference regarding Isabeau and the adults compared to Nanashi's young teen peers.
In the case of the adults, as they were less emotionally involved with Nanashi, they use childbirth more as means towards the end.
While Nozomi's baggage can't be compared to Isabeau's, I think of her as a messy option likewise since siding with Nanashi is going against the alignment she originally stood for, specially considering this memory of Nozomi has Danu inside her (she only got to know Nanashi after becoming the Queen of Fairies after all).
Goddess Nozomi particularly gave me a strong impression due to her being the only partner boasting her final quote with a determined face compared to others looking content or prideful. Then you remember why one of her skills is named the way it is.
Nanashi and Nozomi's relationship could be seen as a mirror to the tense mother-son rivalry between Dagda and Danu (which are essentially the main sides you can choose from) but also, when you think about before they even met each other, both were weak characters needing Flynn's help initially. However, through forming a contract to become an 'extension' of a Celtic deity, they gradually became able to stand on their own.
So Nanashi and Nozomi thematically are foils to each other and would be at odds not even necessarily due to each's own sense of morality but because they literally owe how far they got to the blessings Dagda and Danu gave them, respectively. To this argument, Nanashi definitely would pick her with spite just like with Isabeau.
While moments related to his character growth are mostly directed to characters that aren't Nanashi per se in the main story, I deem Gaston as the 'least detached' from the adult group as his attitude shift to protect Nanashi in his endgame partner lines gives you an impression that he developed a bias for the boy he once deemed filthy nonetheless, alongside his intense heartbroken reaction if Nanashi sides with Dagda in contrast to Nozomi's and Isabeau's cold approaches.
You could theorize that Gaston possibly reached the point of placing his full trust in Nanashi once the fact that the boy was the reincarnation of Akira AKA the very first king of Mikado was out, which means Nanashi indeed felt like the blessed figurehead he was desiring to fight for after distancing himself from Merkabah.
The irony in Massacre is that it ended up being that Nanashi did not, in fact, want to follow Akira's steps.
The way I see Goddess Gaston in Massacre, his role strongly matches Flynn's. Both think of themselves as retainers for Nanashi.
Isabeau fought to serve Flynn, Nozomi fought to shield her fairy allies and Gaston fought to eliminate threats against his kingdom.
Nanashi redirected their loyalty towards himself.
I left Navarre for last and separated from the two groups I mentioned since he's, by all purposes, the intended comical exception:
He is the only Goddess where Nanashi still uses his help instead of manipulating the Energy Sword on his own. He is the oldest of the cast and yet he is probably one of the characters with most emotional moments alone with Nanashi (in fact, the very last message in your inbox regardless of your Goddess of choice is always him pleading you to not regret your actions). And most of all, even above Asahi or Toki themselves, he seems the most... in-character of all the Goddesses.
One could argue that perhaps since he never had a body and could potentially shift his attitude according to the circumstances, his ending could even just be interpreted as he being held in custody by Dagda and just being released later.
Navarre only followed Nanashi in the first place because he had nothing or nobody else to turn to. He betrayed his kingdom, refused to face his family and past teammates, died at the hands of a demon and on top of it all, was unable to go to the other side.
And then he saw Nanashi. A dead person trapped in the living world just like his own situation. Nanashi and Navarre's bond was entirely out of chance and yet it could be said it was one of the most genuine of them.
Navarre could simply wander off from Nanashi once he noticed something wrong was happening, as he had no social obligations or strong ties. Nanashi could simply use Dagda's power to destroy the Energy Barriers himself, as shown in the other Goddess routes. But they kept being the company of each other in their lonely state of neither-life-or-death.
If Nanashi would choose the first Goddess group out of emotional ties and the second group for their use as tools, Navarre would essentially be Nanashi finding solace with the one he not necessarily cared about or found useful but just was always the most similar to: a detached soul that no matter what, stubbornly refused death.
Navarre despite everything, was able to meet Nanashi. After all they went through together, he becomes sure he will be able to meet many more like him.

💞 for Amber (Sending this here since asks seem to be off on your main)
I REBLOGGED IT TO THE WRONG BLOG SHIT--
send me 💞 + an oc and ill tell you my top five favorite dynamics of theirs!
1. Amber & Billy - I love these two dorks and their friendship is amazing. They're absolute disasters who originally didn't like each other but eventually grew to respect & love each other 2. Amber & Luna - Best roomies! Amber & Luna only became friends during high school, bonding over their shared interest in nerdy things and sci-fi (not that amber would ever admit it to anyone), which eventually lead to them becoming roommates! 3. Amber & Nate - Childhood friends, with Nate being Amber's biggest secret keeper. They met at a grief counseling session, and began to hang out outside of that. Nate becomes the first person to discover that Amber is not only a superhero, but the sidekick of The Captain (although he doesn't find out who the Captain is lol) 4. Amber & The MK System - Ooh, okay, their friendship is messy. It's built on a lot of secrets, lies and assumptions, especially as Marc cannot be normal about his feelings and has to try to abandon everything before he breaks it. Amber is not having this and tries to get him to open up, which often leads to arguing and Marc closing himself off harder :( 5. Amber & Harrow - Local man refuses to die because he wants to spite a teenager, more at eleven. Amber hates him, and I mean really hates him, like wants to see him dead hates him. He weaponises Marc's trauma, accuses him of being responsible for his brother's death, and to top it all off, kills him. Plus, he's a hypocrite as - in my hypothetical Moon Knight Season 2 - he chooses to ressurect the dead going against he and Ammit's original philosophy!

hi! try this :) https://pin.it/13pr3efSy https://pin.it/135PXK007
THIS LOOKS SO FUN WHAT 😼 ofc I’ll try it out (there’s a lot of yapping under the cut WHAHHEJW)
HAIKYUU!! VER. + MHA VER. (for those who want to try !)
The Haikyuu!! one I can definitely see, mwahaha 🙂↕️
My glorious underrated loml Aran as my classmate, he would not be too thrilled to have me as a classmate/seatmate for the sole reason that I talk a lot whenever I’m comfortable with the person I’m talking to (I speak too quickly irl HELPP). That or I’m just silently next to him (I have a bad case of scary resting face which makes me look unapproachable and crabbed) 😭 BUT I’M A SMART AND NICE COOKIE SO ARAN PLS DON’T BE SCARED TO APPROACH ME 🤧
HECK YES 🔥🔥 KIYOKO AS MY MENTOR 🥳 she will guide me through the basics of manager duties while I ask her about track and field (I’m unathletic as heck and embarrassed myself twice when I tried to play volleyball—I made the team though in elementary as a middle blocker 🔥🔥 but not in high school tho bcs that was a dark and tough time 😔)
Ushijima WAKATOSHI?? USHIWAKA?? give him a smooch as I step on a stepping stool 😚 He would strain his neck just to look at me whenever I talk to him and that’s just romantic 🥰🫵 pure love idk about y’all. I had a classmate in high school who was 6 flat (182.88cm) AND BOY HE WAS TALL 😮 I can’t be seen standing next to Ushiwaka because that man would get scoliosis if he was in a relationship w/ me (the only way to salvage this relationship is to just hug each other and no eye contact/kissing to save both of our skeletal systems)
RIVAL?? KAORI?? nah, that’s my bff 😋
Suna as my bff is surprising 🫣 ig we share a lot in common (probably both have mild scoliosis) I WILL BE THE RECEIVER OF HIS RANT ABT THE MIYA TWINS’ ANTICS as i cry over the hardships of being a third-year (I’m getting high school flashbacks as an incoming freshman) 😼
This confirms it. I am the middle child of the Haiba family. But the height makes other ppl question it (I’m def adopted 😨) I’M ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING 😭😭 I just match their energies well <33
Inarizaki as my school 😝 I am definitely on a scholarship bcs in no way am I able to afford that school for three years of high school🙂↕️ (I’m cooked cause I barely pass scholarship exams)
And Osamu as my childhood friend just ties this all together 😋
The MHA one.. now buckle up
My queen sugarplum honeybunch darling lovey dovey Momo 🙇 I love her sm. She could run me over with one of her expensive cars and I would wipe and polish the car
Bakugou and Kirishima as my bffs... I’m running 😭 jk I love them with all of my heart BAKUGOU WOULD NOT STAND MY SLOWNESS “what do you mean you forgot the formula when we’re calculating for time? we learned about this yesterday, dipshit!” isn’t he fun 🥰 my constant “huh?” would have me blown up to another dimension <33 Now Kiri, Kiri is another story. I love this man, this man and his personality. So we just get along and make manly friendship bracelets 🔥
Cementoss as my teacher.. I WOULD BE HIS FAV STUDENT NGL I love Modern Lit. My strongest subject, the light in the dark times (cough cough physics) YESSIR
RIVAL?? TODOROKI?? i can see it 🧐🧐 season 1 todoroki was cold af tho 🥶 i would cry internally if he ever rolls his eyes at me 😔 darn nepo babies 😓😓 JK I think we’d get along in the later seasons, but the rivalry would probably be academic (my self-insert quirk is just.. not built to go toe-to-toe with his ☹️)
Navel Laser.. chat my brother and I are cooked. Aoyama as my brother 10/10 but getting tummy aches after we use our Quirks + the same time as period cramps?? put me on the dnr list and never ressurect me ever again -10000/10
Sato and I just sitting next to each other like 👁️👁️
Mineta as my childhood friend—how about NO 😁
me when this silly little activity turned into an unofficial alternate version of my self-insert lore:
#𓏲ׂ 📮₊˚ʾʾ#NONNIE I’M SORRY I YAPPED TOO MUCH#i can remake another post with a simpler answer for u minus the paragraphs 😓#nonnie when all they asked for was a simple answer and i gave them unofficial lore: 😨

Even the most well trained dog can turn when the muzzle is off and the leash is gone.
okay he's got backstory now under cut
i'd really like to plan a DnD game where he's the villain turned-not-ally whatarewe . jpg
but basically in whatever setting, the church has some sort of force that deals with dangers in secret and without remorse or mercy. They basically are just trained dolls, acting things, and they have no souls in their bodies so they just. don't have any kind of conscious about the murderous thing they do for the church and crown.
So this guy here who i still have to name died as a child and then ressurected, like most of the people, and then trained from childhood, this little working machine, this puppet.
And then he cut his strings. Something happened. He snapped. He realized what was taken from him. His life, his rest, whatever happens beyond.
He doesn't care about his soul, he doesn't care about how many lives he has to take, how many bridges he burns.
He only solely cares about revenge against the one who raised him (from the dead and as a tool). No remorse, only revenge.
Because there's no soul in his body, just some spell tying him here, he probably can't die and his body heals itself and regenerates. I imagine that his life is connected to the person that cast the spell to raise him -- and the only way he truly dies is if they do too. Which sounds like a win-win for him.
Bonus points if over the course of the story he starts getting little bits of his soul back by accident through some outwardly force and he starts feeling again and then he's double down resolved to end it because he doesn't want to feel. Any 'good dead' he does he waves of as just a calculated 'you can help me if you're dead' 'saving that child will get us on the good side of the village and they'll give us information' 'if I do this thing you're more willing to help me'.
Real villain that was doomed to never be a hero vibes.
#tiefling#file under characters i'll never play#but i'll doodle and dream of him#seriously though he's evil and doomed and i love that for him

I have my own version of Kopa from 2021, where he has more genes, than just from pa' and ma'
He is also son of Simba and Nala, heir of the throne, also a victim of Zira, but survives/ressurect safely and lives on his own. He doesn’t remember his rapist, except for growl and color of her paws. Despite the scars, most of them remained on neck, while others barely visible on pale fur, and the rest healed without a trace.
Kopa is pretty small male, but strong and harsh:
He hates lion kind, except for the mysterious kiddo (Nuka) from his childhood. But he ends up being held hostage by outlanders, and there Kopa encounters his sweet family...
Simba was afraid by Kopa, who looked like Scar. This disgust and negligence in upbringing of the first-born created in Simba’s eyes the illusion that Kopa’s character was predetermined by fate.
As a child, I liked the fan-explanation of Kopa's doom, where Zira kills him, therefore he is not in sequel. And she is banished from Pride Rock, and Simba is paranoid about Kiara. That's why I really loved this character, and these little dark stories that made around him.
But I tired to see clones of Simba & Kovu, where all of family members are reddish, so I made this AU for fun, and updated it recently.
Olde sketches:
Yep, mammals once in a hundred years, questions?

for jackson:
What sort of general actions raise or lower their approval? Are there any unique NPCs associated with your Tav that can show up during the course of the game? Do they have unique dialogue if the Player Character lets them die when they steal the Blood of Lathander? What questions can Zethino ask the PC about Tav in the Love Test?
Baldur's Gate 3 Companion!Tav Ask List
Good-aligned choices will always raise Jackson's approval. While he's not wholly averse to intimidation or persuading others, his preferred method being the latter, being carelessly violent while knock down his approval. If there's a little... sassy, fun option available anywhere and you're trying to get max approval with him— GO FOR IT. Highest approval out of the three choices.
There's a couple in each Act of the game! Act I will have a young druid in the Grove fawning over Jackson from a distance who's talked to him in the past when he visited the Emerald Grove a few times for business. You'll get to hear about how he helped her with some chores and going the extra mile in doing so. In Act II, there's a small group of Harpers at the Last Light Inn that will comment that Jackson was considered as a candidate but turned it down for personal reasons. They believe that he thinks he's hiding something that the organization might not be privy too, that he's not as good and noble that people make him out to be. Act III has the most prominent NPC for Jackson: Jedaiah Gislebert. An exile of Neverwinter, Jedaiah was Jackson's childhood friend who was a horrible influence and fed Jackson's more negative traits until his younger siblings were about to become victims of a "prank". Jedaiah and his family were taken away by the city's authorities, exiled from Neverwinter, and were never seen in the city since then. He's been recruited by the Zhentarim and has made it his mission to either get Jackson to join him or kill him. (This is subject to change/expanded upon just fyi)
Oh boy, yes he does. Be prepared for the disappointed(tm) look from him when ressurected. This'll be one of those rare moments where the usual smile on his face has been wiped off. He'll even ask if getting the Blood of Lathander was worth leaving him in the rubble to die. If the PC is apologetic about it, he'll soften up about it and apologize. If dismissive about it, that'll be a disapproval point from him with a grumble.
What best puts the ranger at ease? Knowing his loved ones are safe. And having a sweet treat. What does Jackson yearn for? A simple life. An adventure. Both. What does he fear, above all else? Losing himself. For better or for worse.
#l0vebytes#bg3!jckcanons#[ this took a while but woooo! c: ]#[ will post the love test questions for jackson AND johanne later this week ]
