if your friends jumped off a plane, would you do that too? yeah :D

it was so fun!!! i really think that everyone should go skydiving at least once in their lifetime if they're able to

but i'd be lying if i said that i wasn't about to shit my pants starting the week before the event up until i got off the bus that Took us to the skydiving field in general. once i finished signing all of the waivers [1] and got geared up, i simply accepted any fate that would follow me

let's dedicate a section of this review to eric, the skydiving instructor that i was tied to and led the diving. he's an interesting 30-ish y/o white man from north carolina with a lot of energy. he kept doing that thing where he just said a lot of jokes (dark humor, not a big surprise) about how jumping off a plane will be fine, cool, chill. at one point while we were in this small sus plane, he made a clicking noise with some of the gear and said these lovely words

if you hear this click as we're falling down the sky, that's just me quitting my job

this man was overall funny and transformed all of my nervous energy into Calmness [2]. i'm glad that he and juan (the pilot of the plane) were able to make my day so fun :)) what was less fun was eric sorta jumping off the plane without telling me he was gonna do that, re-enactment by haku from spirited away below

once i made it back to the ground i took a bunch of polaroid pics with my pals (asantoss and K) and laid on the grass while the rest of the seniors finished skydiving. 10/10 would do it again

Donald Trump claims he has "nothing to do" with Project 2025, but he has a playbook of his own that would be devastating for LGBTQ+ Americans and other marginalized communities. The former president's reelection website features a section entitled Agenda 47, which hosts dozens of videos of Trump outlining his policies for if he returns to office. Several policies threaten the LGBTQ+ community, spanning across education, health care, and the military. In one video titled "President Trump's Plan to Protect Children From Left-Wing Gender Insanity," Trump promised to outlaw gender-affirming care for minors at the federal level, and “cease all programs that promote the concept of sex and gender transition at any age.” He also promised to ban transgender athletes from competing on teams that match their gender identity.

Trump stated that he "will ask Congress to pass a bill establishing that the only genders recognized by the United States government are male and female — and they are assigned at birth.” He then claimed that being transgender was "invented" by the "radical left," though he did not use the term "transgender" once throughout Agenda 47. “No serious country should be telling its children that they were born with the wrong gender — a concept that was never heard of in all of human history — nobody’s ever heard of this, what’s happening today," Trump rambled. "It was all when the radical left invented it just a few years ago.”

ok so as someone still relatively new to TWST (and someone just taking the events as they come to EN instead of keeping up with the JP side) and as a Jack Howl simp

I am of the (CORRECT) opinion that he should absolutely get an Applepom look because... fwuffy. and hat with ear holes. and he'd be SO insistent that he's used to the cold and doesn't need it but he will take it once it's insisted on because he's polite and won't refuse Gramma Felmier

Also I think a fun twist on the "someone's sled breaks and their plushie tears so they have to come up with another idea" bit from the other event is that Jack goes wolf mode to pull the sled (because as said in his starsending wish he pulls sleds back at home on breaks to try and get faster as a wolf!)

I'm biased though because I need more Jacc in my life

thank you anon for bringing the mental image of harveston Jack into my life. he would be SO fluffy...so warm...he would haul so many apples...

also while I love the imagery of him pulling the sled, I feel like that would probably get them insta-disqualified. :( unless they can somehow 1) convince the judges that this enormous talking wolf is actually a very well-made plush, and 2) get Jack to go along with it (I do think Jack would instantly respect Marja as being more alpha or whatever and would have to, like, choose between his sense of JUSTICE, or going along with cheating at this sporting event so an authority figure doesn't get mad at him) (...wait this is just the plot of episode 2 again) (DANGIT)
