The amusement arcade in Fleetwood. It closed recently, all the eqipment was removed, and workmen were on the site. I assumed it had closed permanantly, but was pleased to see it has reopened. I never use the place, but it is good to see a Fleetwood business surviving.

Ten Hours of Summer (Lytham and St. Anne’s)
Actually summer-like on the Wednesday, dazzling brightness made checking bus times to Lytham on my slow phone difficult. Phil discovered they departed from Market Street. Getting there just as a number 68 sailed off, we waited on a sweltering number 11 until it departed. After an hour of innumerable stops, we sought comfort in the Heritage Centre. But it proved to be a small local facility…

Video
This looks like the Amusement Center that more recently had been abandoned and is basically run by the customers.
Only a small portion of it is active by the doors with maybe a dozen candy cabs at the most and some random rhythm games and vending machines..
They're rigged up so the customers can turn them on or off as needed and the last ones have to shut off everything at night..
A lot of surfaces like the ceiling are yellowed from years of smoking in there..
I saw a video about it on YouTube..

'Fred Flintstone's Memory Match'
[ARC] [AUSTRALIA] [MAGAZINE] [1995]
"There is something distinctly queer about shaved eyebrows: their presence, or rather absence, challenges our expectations about what a face should be. And indeed, for much of the past century, they were a signal of deviance from the norm — either because a person couldn’t fit in or because they refused to. (...)This desire to heighten our facial expressions by altering our brows is not new. Ancient Egyptians of all genders would remove their natural brows and paint in more dramatic, sweeping arches, says Rachael Gibson, 39, the London-based writer behind the Instagram account @thehairhistorian. A similar practice, known as Hikimayu, was popular among men and women during Japan’s Heian period, between the eighth and 12th centuries. Practitioners would replace their eyebrows with stylized black shapes, ranging from fine arcs to cloudy smudges, positioning them higher up on the forehead, Gibson explains. And in the 16th century, Queen Elizabeth I was known for plucking her eyebrows nearly out of existence, along with the front of her hairline. “The ideal beauty standard of the era was essentially a bald white egg topped with red hair,” says Gibson, “and just a very fine, barely visible eyebrow.” ~Harron Walker, The New York Times ("Why More People Are Shaving Their Eyebrows — And How to Do It Yourself")
