Gare centrale d'Amsterdam
Amsterdam est un exemple en Europe sur le plan écologique, la plupart des habitants se déplace en vélo ou en transport en commun.
c'est de toute façon le moyen le plus simple car la ville n'est pas particulièrement optimiser pour les voitures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media

Day Twelve - Tokyo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
18th November 2022
Alright Tokyo, Day Two. Let's see what we've got...
Today we are heading to Shibuya and Shinjuku for Shin-anigan's...
First stop is Eggslut in Shibuya. A bit tricky to find, it was inside a "mall" thing, and inside a two level food court... but not the main food court. -__- There was also a taco bell, and a panda express... we weren't tempted, and it was worth it. Possibly the best egg sando I've ever had. Sure, I might die if I eat another one... but holy moley, it was gooey and perfect. The service was actually not great... for Japan. But, no complaints. Its Fast Food.
Now to explore... I took ben to Tower Records. Unsure if this was a mistake -- we were in there for 3 hours. Looking at records, and CD's and music memorabilia. It's so awesome that this culture is still alive here. There's something magical and nostalgic about digging around a CD store. :) I bought some second hand records, and had to stop myself at some.. sigh. Next time, a bigger bag. More luggage. Haha!
I was able to do some shopping of my own at this stage -- heading to the Disney Store and Loft (for STICKERS!!) and we grabbed a coffee at a nearby cafe which was cash free, seat yourself... very COVID friendly. I hated it. Haha! But I knew we were about to head to Fruits Parlour to get another cafe experience. I've been dying to go back!
Their menu wasnt as fun as it was last time (I went in Spring and it was cherry blossom season) but we still got to have a delicious strawberry parfait. Walking back, I thought to take the long way via the Tokyo Tower and see what food is available there.
Tokyo Tower was all lit up because now it was dark -- so pretty. But this also meant the food places were minimal. But the food court underneath was still popping -- we decided to have a snack and get Ramen before we have our late night adventure.
After the hotel to recharge (and drink the alcohol we had collected throughout our trip, and use the salt from the flight to shot the tequila.. which was gross btw...) we were headed back to Shinjuku. To Donki first for some cheap booze again, and then Ramen at Ichi-ran.
Ben LOVED Ichiran. It is so fun and solo, but we were drunk and being obnoxious. Woops. Sorry Tokyo. He was dancing because his smoked chasu was delicious haha!
I had found some "rock" bars to visit -- GODZ Bar was the first on the list. Full of memorabilia and autographs from bands who had also visited, it was definitely our place to be. The bartender chick, was just standing there, smoking, like she didn't want to be -- but it added to the aesthetic. We chatted with some dudes (i swear they were from Germany, maybe it was Amsterdam?) about metal and sang along to the Youtube videos they were playing.
Next up was BarPSY which was their "sister" bar. Across the way -- it was smaller, but busier and the vibe was so fun. We were forced into doing Jager Shots from test tubes and told do say "Chin-po" which apparently means Penis. Thanks HAHA!
I still wanted to do MORE but it was 2am, now that means the trains were done... its expensive Taxi Time. Woops again. I'm always surprised at how fast it seems like they drive...
IG Post:
"Today involved music, shopping and drinking. It got messy.
We started the day looking for a breakfast place in Shibuya so we looked around the Disney Store and Tower Records. I bought some second hand records and they were really cheap compared to what we get in Adelaide so I was excited. Hopefully they come home okay!
After all the shopping I took Ben past the Tokyo Tower and we had a drink underneath before walking back to our hotel to get ready to go out to Shinjuku and find some where to party.
I came across Godz Bar on IG a long time ago so that was our first stop and we met some German dudes and rocked out to some metal. Then we went across to their “partner bar” Bar PSY and did some Jaeger shots and it started to get messy. Taxi back to the hotel was definitely an easier option! 😂"

I’m in! (Doctor!Poe)
(Writer Wednesday)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Poe took Yn to a date on a different place.
A/N: sorry for the late publish but i was on vacation and I’m also apologize because lately I publish a lot about doctors but well I’m kind of one, and I’m working on the ER and I’m enjoying it so sorry for my emotion and I also watching new Amsterdam so I’m kind of obsessed, anyway I hope you enjoy it! Thanks to @autumnleaves1991-blog and @clydesducktape for this activity💙
————————
The first time that Yn meet him was on the tour of the hospital were they work, he was another the chief of the surgery department, she was the chief of the ER, but from that moment they met they became inseparable, they spend many nights talking together and every day they get lunch together, everything seem fine until she start to feel nervous around him, she could feel the blush on her face every time he wink at her or he place his hand on her back, she tried her best to ignore it but he make it difficult. She keep analyzing the test of a patient when Poe sit next to her.
-So are you ready for tonight?
-I think, my dress is in my locker, just as my make up- he look at her as if he found something new -What?
-I’m trying to picture you with something different that a uniform.
-So you finally use your brain?
-ha ha very funny- he said, he looks a little nervous before he talk again -Would you save a dance for me?- she nod making him smile -I’ll see you at night.
-Please wear something nice.
The hole day she couldn’t focus properly, tonight the hospital was giving a dance to raise money, that was something easy the hard thing was that her brother was one of the guest, they were close but he wasn’t happy with her choice of been a doctor and she knew that he wouldn’t be happy when he meet Poe. As she work on her patients she start to calm herself. When she was finally done for the evening she went to get ready, she never thought how long was the way between the lockers and the reception. She step outside for a moment until she felt someone standing beside her.
-I didn’t know you look that good in a dress, if I knew it before I would take you on a date before- she look at Poe with surprise.
-I didn’t know this was a date.
-I didn’t know if you want it to be a date, so I just asked you for a dance- he said a little ashamed, she smile and took his hand.
-I think this kind of things would be great for a first date.
They get in and great everyone they know, have a few drinks with the other doctors but Poe could see that Yn was looking through the crowd as if she was looking for someone, she excuse herself for a moment, he keep talking with the group until one of his friends point at Yn talking to another guy, she hug him and smile as they talk, Poe could feel his muscles tense as he keep getting close to her, he couldn’t help it and stand up and walk to them.
-Hey Yn…
-Oh, hey Poe, sorry I didn’t came back, Ben this is Poe…
-Doctor Poe Dameron- he said as he took Ben’s hand.
-Oh yeah, Dr. Goodwin just told me about you, he said you one of his best doctor.
-The second one- Yn said with a smile -I’m the first one- she said making him chuckle.
-Hey, you own me a dance- Poe said.
-Please go, don’t make me stop you, I’ll see you at lunch tomorrow, Yn- she nod.
They dance together for a while, she laugh as he pretend to dance like an old men or do some weird moves, but when the music change to a slow song he took her hand and bring her close to him, she place her head on his shoulder and he start to sing in her ear.
-I heard that zorii was talking about how good you look tonight, maybe she’ll asked you out- she said.
-To bad I’m having a great night with a great girl- she blushed -maybe I’ll take that special girl to an special place.
-Oh god I hope it got food there, I didn’t have lunch today and this little appetizer won’t help.
-So do you want to go?.
-Yes, just let me say goodbye to Ben and meet you at the door.
The place he took her was different as the place she imagine, when she thought that maybe he took her to a coffee shop or a bar, he took her to an old dinner, it got a few boots, old pictures of the owners and the workers, famous people who eat there, a few old posters of movie or singers, but her favorite was the bar, they sit in front of the window where you can see the kitchen, every few sits has it own old record play, he put a quarter and her favorite song.
-I’m impress, this place is amazing- she said -How did you found it?
-My mother, she used to work here- he point at one of the pictures -She was one of the waitress, thanks to that job she met my father.
-She’s really beautiful.
-I come here at least every month, the owner is like a grandfather to me- she smile, she look at a menu -Don’t bother about that, he is going to give us whatever he wants.
-He?…
-Poe!- an old men came to their sit- You look good in that suit and who is this pretty lady.
-Bob, this is Yn…
-Oh I’m so glad I finally meet you, Poe always talk about you, by all he has tell me I’m sure your a lovely girl.
-Hello sir is nice to meet you, I love your dinner.
-Thank you darling, do you want something to eat? Oh I know what would be great- he said as he disappears in the kitchen, Poe shrugged with a smile.
-Listen Yn, I don’t know where this is going to lead, but I’m all in, I want this, I want to be with you, and I’ll understand if you want to this be slow or you prefer to go with that rich guy or you need time to figure it out, but I just need you know that I’m going to be there for you.
-Ok- she smile.
-Ok- he said and took his drink.
-Hey Poe- he look at her -the rich guy you mention, he’s not a stranger to me, he’s my brother- he look surprise.
-What? But he look really important for the hospital…
-That’s because our parents give a lot of money to the hospital with the money they make of their company, he’s taking their steps.
-Wait… you said your last name was Skywalker and I seen the place you leave and it doesn’t seem like the place of a rich persone.
-Is that your way to say that my place suck?- she pretend to be mad -my real last name is Solo, and I didn’t want to have the privilege of the family name, I didn’t get money from my parents because they want me to keep in the family business and I want to save lives, the deal was that they help me to pay the school if I came back to the hospital once I was done, so I did, my brother think that I’m a fool for that and he think that I took the wrong way but I like my life, so that’s why he mention the lunch, he want to offer me a job on the company.
-And are you going to take it.
-No, I like what I’m doing and beside there’s this guy who make me more sure of my decision.
-I’m glad for that- he said with a smile, they look for a moment before he took her cheek and kiss her gently, they smile to each other.
-Hey Poe, I’m all in too- she kiss him again.

Walk walk, walk walk, walk - and ride a bit.
Today we officially figured out how to work the transit pass system. The pass on the GVB app has a QR code. If you tap it, it goes full screen. Sounds simple but the QR code reading system on the busses is broken. The drivers (who are sealed in a soundproof COVID booth and can’t talk to us) want to see the small QR code screen on the app and then you tap on the blue space beside the QR code and it turns green. The drivers want to see it turn green. I had both of our passes on my app so had to some quick finger work to get on the tram while not holding up the line. It took the hand signals of several drivers and attendants to figure it out. This was much better than our 1985 trip where we never did figure it out.
The largest bike parking lot in the world. 4 stories tall!

Today we went for breakfast to the famous Amsterdam Pancake Bakery. The pancakes are more like crepes than our pancakes. They tasted good though.
We then did the Rick Steves tour of the Red Light District. It was around noon so it was pretty tame. There were only a few ladies in the windows and it was not intimidating - one lady did tap on the glass but I think she wanted Colleen. We did go back again to part of the area at around 6 pm and it was a little livelier but not too crazy. Still lots of empty windows. I think that after dark it might be a bit scary there.
We learned a lot about Amsterdam’s liberal attitude to things that are “natural”. Essentially, plants that are grown in nature or activities that are natural (like sex) are all permitted. Shops are allowed to stock and sell marijuana to a limited amount. Everything is regulated and taxed. This has been the case for about 30 years. It is working - drug use in The Netherlands is about 1/2 of the USA and their jails are practically empty.
The prostitutes get regular health checks, are part of a union, have protection by paid or volunteer “bouncers”.
The “coffee shops” in Amsterdam mostly don’t sell coffee. That is a euphemism for Marijuana store. You have to ask to see the cannabis menus (the shops aren’t allowed to initiate the sale). It’s ok because the coffee was mostly disappointing - tiny little cups of espresso. It tastes good and gives a caffeine shot but doesn’t last through a whole croissant!
After after the red light district, we headed back to one of the quieter parts of town and had lunch in a nice Square. There was a band of statues silently playing.
We decided to walk back to the hotel but partway there we decided to get bikes. After a quick stop back at the hotel, we decided to go for a ride through Rembrandt Park and Vondel park. Rembrandt Park was a big forest area full of trees. There is one big road that runs across the middle of it and it had two big statues of Clifford the Big Red Dog. Vondel Park is kind of like Prince’s Island Park but way bigger. It is where “everyone” goes to hang out in the sun. We rode around and through those parks and then back to the hotel - not far.

Then we headed back into Central Amsterdam for more fun and food. By that, I mean we walked – a lot! The plan was to find a bakery to get some quick food for tomorrow morning and then find a restaurant where we could watch people.
A note on the food here-every meal has tons of carbs. Bread (brood) is a huge staple of the diet.
We found a great spot at the intersection of two canals. We hoped to wait around until dark and the lights came on on the bridges.
After supper we wandered around waiting for it to get dark. That took a long time since sunset wasn’t till 8:50 and then they didn’t turn the bridge lights on until after 9:30. After miles of looking at every single bridge combination in the city multiple times we found the one we wanted, but it must’ve had a bulb out because it wasn’t lit up. Colleen wants to phone the mayor. I feel sorry for the poor guy who has to check every single lightbulb on all of those bridges to find out the one that’s burnt out. I have attached a picture from Google of the one we wanted to see! Once we got some bridge pictures we decided to head home. We had to walk a long way to get the tram. In total we walked 24 km, +12.7 km on the bike today! All that exercise should help us burn off all the bread!

Day 1
(Note: Because of bad wifi as previously mentioned, many of these I have saved in a Google doc and then I post later- if you see several “days” in one day that’s why!)
I have arrived! I just got into Amsterdam on the evening of June 19, accompanied by one of one my classmates because we happened to have the same flight from Dublin. I am starving. I am jet lagged. It’s not fun. But I do have an explosive amount of excitement on the inside! Today was a whirlwind journey of figuring out how the heck anything works in the city, especially airports, public transportation, money, and pretty much anything else. I am so thankful I didn’t have to do it alone. When we finally got to the Bicycle Hotel in central Amsterdam, I became quickly reacquainted with some classmates I met at our first orientation, and then went immediately back out to find a snack to prepare for our orientation in the “A’Dam” (because that’s a thing?). This was my first exploration of the neighborhood, although our orientation an hour later also ended up being a neighborhood tour. Getting a quick snack was my first experience in a Dutch grocery store (Albert Heijn), which is basically a Dutch Albertsons (I mean, it has a blue triangle-ish logo, with the letters “a” and “h”, I mean it’s basically Albertsons), and I learned that they do NOT take American credit cards, so we had to learn how to use our cash (or in my classmate’s case learn how to use the ATM in Dutch, or somehow adjust the language settings). Thankfully I had already exchanged my US dollars to euros at the Dublin airport before getting to Amsterdam (go me!).
I got a sandwich at the store just to get me through the afternoon, we accidentally got in the wrong line to use cash (self-checkout is card only), but the store person was very nice about it. She seemed to figure out quickly that we were tourists (no surprise there). After orientation all the trouble was worth it- I had a more substantial dinner at a café (NOT a coffee shop- this difference will be explained later) with our program director and a couple classmates, which included a chocolate torte for dessert (pictured below)! This was also my first experience at any Dutch restaurant. Thankfully they gave us an English menu, but it was fun to make our director translate the Dutch one. You also have to ask for still water here? There’s no ice (which I already expected) but water here is just bottled or tap water. Fun fact: according to a posting in our hotel lobby, tap water in Amsterdam is scientifically proven to be more healthy than most bottled water! So if you’re ever here, enjoy drinking from the sink like a cat. Until tomorrow!

Past and Present, the Book Ends of Life
Part 3
Summary: Your first date.
Warning: sex
Sitting, at a high top he took a pull on his beer. This was his first honest date, in well ages. He hoped he wouldn’t screw things up.
“Can I join you?” A soft voice broke into his thoughts.
Startled, he smiled. “Hello, Y/N.” He slid, off his chair. He took a final pull from his beer.
You giggled lightly. “So you caught, my name?”
He smiled. “Of course, I did after noticing your smile.” He liked the pink hue your cheeks took. “Shall we?” He gestured towards the doors.
“Yes.”
*****
Inhaling deeply, the rich curry filled air filled his nose. A waiter soon escorted the two of you to a cozy corner.
“This is nice.” He remarked nervously.
“Yes, it is.” You aggreed, smiling you tucked hair behind your ear.
He looked over at the buffet and then skimmed the menu. The eggs and cheese were long gone. He didn’t think he could wait for a meal to be made. “I choose the buffet, how about you?”
You smiled. “Sounds good to me.” You said leaning in smiling. “I am starving.” You admit.
“Me too.”
You both share a giggle. When the waiter, comes over you both order a drink.
“So Renton huh?”
He shrugged. “Yeah one of the various things my friends call me.”
You smiled. “I like Mark.”
“Great.”
“Here you go.” He said softly, as he handed you a plate before getting behind you.
“Thank you, sir.”
“You’re welcome.” While behind you, he looked you up and down. Dresses certainly look good on you, this one laid gently on your curves.
Once your plates were sufficiently filled, you went and took you seats.
“So, I need to know.” You pierced a piece of chicken. “Why are you in hotel?” You popped the piece into your mouth and began to chew. “Are you just popping in a for a quick visit?”
“My friend Simon, found me in Amsterdam. He called in on an old favor.” He shrugged. “So I closed my club for some needed renovations. And here I am.”
Your eyes grew. “You own a club?”
He nodded. “Aye, a night club.”
“That is so exciting.” In your enthusiasm, you took several bites of your dinner. He found it incredibly endearing.
“It can be.” Now, he took a few bits. “Your turn, besides being a very intriguing barista, what do you do?”
Your fingers brushed up against each other, as you both grabbed your drinks.
“Is it that obvious?” You took a sip of your drink then. “That I do other things.” You giggle.
Your giggle, was something he was really beginning to grow fond of. He nodded. “Yeah actually.”
“I’m a teacher, but things are getting moved around at the moment, so I went to work at the coffee shop.”
“Nice.” He smirked. “I always talked too much in class. But I and still like my books.”
“I always talked too much too. So,” you looked away for the first time that night but then you looked back. “How long will you be here?”
“I’m not terribly sure to be honest.”
Quietly, but not in a bad way the two of you finished up your plates.
“Would you like to take a walk, Y/N?”
“Yes, I would.”
*****
You walked side by side, your catching each other. A smile would be shared. There were things he wanted to say but were not sure. So he swallowed them down.
“‘Mark?” You turned to him then. Your eyes shone in the light in the street lamp. “I don’t know.” You pressed your lips together looked away for the second time, this evening.
His heart beat hard and fast. It was easy for him to imagine walking over to a high cliff. It was electric when he touched you. He drew your face up gently. “No regrets,” He imagined jumping off the cliff. “Let’s just see where all of this takes us.”
“Yes!” You kissed him them. It shook him. It had been ages since he kissed anyone.
“I’m sorry..I...I...”
You must have felt his surprise.
He met your lips then and he kissed you. Your lips were far softer then he would have ever expected. Your lips danced as they met. Your hand felt great as it rested on his cheek. Easily, he pulled you close wanting to feel more of you as you kissed.
A car zoomed past and whoop and cheers filled the quiet night air.
Giggling, the two of you parted your eyes meeting.
“I liked that.” He finally says as he finds his voice.
“I want more.”
“Me too.” He admitted as a knot of pleasure formed in his stomach. “We could have a drink at my room.”
“Yes.” You nodded.
******
He could barely breath as he reached into his pocket to take out his hotel key. It beeped. The red light shone. It beeped again. The red light was there almost instantly.
“Allow me.” You smoothly took it from him. Gently you blew across the security strip and then you inserted it.
It made the better sound and the green light illuminated.
“Well, there we go.” He opened the door, and soon tossed the key onto the table near the door.
Going in, you glanced. “You are rather neat.” You smiled up at him.
He shrugged. “It’s a hotel room.”
“Does that mean your flat back home is a disaster ?”
He smirked. “Maybe.” He chuckled. “Nah, I’ve never been one for huge messes.”
“Ok.” You smiled, he watched as you rocked on your heels. “Will you give me another?”
“What?”
You smiling, closing the distance your hand caressed his cheek. He put his hand over his. “Oh, I can give you one of those.”
He kissed you then. As you did so your arms wrapped then tightened around each other. Pleasure plucked his heart as he heard you make a soft sound as he deepened the kiss. You tasted far better then any dessert.
For a moment, you broke the kiss glancing around. You smiled then at him, before fluttering off.
“Coming?” You met his eyes over your shoulder.
“Yes.”
He watched as you stopped by the bed, slipped out your heels and then pulled off your dress. He shed his jacket. Tearing off his shirt, he went over to you. “You’re so lovely.” He let his hands glide over your body.
You flushed. “Thank you.”
As he kissed you, he smoothed his hands up your back. Carefully, reaching up he unhooked your bra. You let it fall to the floor by your feet. Sitting down, you pushed yourself further onto his bed. He kicked off his shoes and made quick work of his pants.
He climbed up and over you, he kissed you again. You had made him incredibly aroused but he would let you take the lead.
Your breath was hot as he dragged his lips and kissed your throat, your shoulders. You smelled so sweetly, he was growing intoxicated by it.
As he felt you pull him to you, he couldn’t suppress the sound that came from him, when his hard on still clothed in his boxers felt your warm core. As you rubbed gently against him, he groaned eager and wanting more.
“Please Mark..” your voice was tight.
“Yes.”
Moving back, he watched as you wiggled free of your panties. He freed himself finally then. As he came back then over you.
Shaking, and with a tight moan that pulled hard on him, he entered you. Your eyes met and the two of you moved. Moving, to your own beat sounds came and mingled becoming one. Your hands wherever they touched him felt so good. Passions took over, lips and tongues meeting. It had been coolish in the room, but warmth built between the two of you.
******
Out of breath and feeling incredibly good he came to lay beside you. He smiled as your soft body curled up beside him. He wrapped around an around you.
You were breathless, and pressed a kiss on his chest. “I’m so glad I gave you that piece of coffee cake.” Your eyes met and you giggled.
He giggled with you. “I am glad you did too.”
You inhaled. “I...I...”
He felt a small shift in your mood. He looked down at you. “What’s the matter?” He gently ran his hand up and down your arm.
“I am worried. You think I’m easy. I don’t know, when I saw you, I just had to get to know you.” You gushed.
He turned, he brushed some hair from your face. “I never thought that.” He drew your face up, “I told you I was thinking about you. I wanted to get to know you too.” He pressed then a soft kiss against your lips.

White Widow Strain For Sale
White Widow is a hybrid strain that may have been familiar with since the early 90's. This strain has global popularity and can easily be found atop a menu at almost any Amsterdam coffee shop. The prevalence of White Widow has greatly increased due to the television show Weeds and references within the rap industry. This strain holds a pretty balanced 60:40 sativa/indica ratio ( Brazil Sativa x South Indian Indica) that leads one to a cognitive driven high with a relaxing undertone. Patients will opt for White Widow if they're seeking a strain that allows them to unwind and relax while still maintaining a sense of mental awareness. This strain is especially good for depression, stress, pain, and PTSD. White Widow gets its name from the fact that it is literally blanketed in white crystals. Beware though, this sweet sugary smoke starts out light but expands dramatically which can lead to heavy coughing; especially if you're a novice smoker. When it comes to smell, you can expect a citrus and peppery scent that is accompanied by a lemony aftertaste. This strain is perfect for outdoor activities like hanging out at the beach or taking a nice walk.
