I tried Seven Hearts Stories recently based off a recommendation from someone else in the RC fandom and… man, if I thought some characters in RC stories were problematic it’s nothing compared to SHS.

Someone mentioned “the red flag LIs are actually red flags” and… yeah they meant it. It’s not for the faint of heart.

The first story I read was… fine. Two of the LIs resemble Malbonte so I was kinda into that, and their flavour of “red flag” is spoiled rich boy. But the second story?

TW under the cut: SA

Like. One LI literally actually actively sexually assaults a MC (is giving her oral while she’s sleeping/ unconscious because he drugged her). He mentioned SAing her TWELVE YEAR OLD SISTER, too. A sister he also drugged, by the way.

I. What?! After he murders the rest of her family right in front of her, tells her he’s going to keep her as his concubine and gets a very clear and resounding rejection from her, he SAs her while she’s sleeping. He lets her believe her sister is being kept as a concubine in another compound. Her twelve year old sister!! (I guess she’s just being kept as a slave? Which is… marginally better I guess?!)

The warnings in the beginning of the story did NOT prepare me for that. Or for any of his obsessive and honestly terrifying behaviour afterward.

Anyway, even without that (which is a non-starter for me tbf), as an English speaking player it’s not the app for me because of how infrequently it updates the translated stories. Updates every 2-3 months, and HEAVILY AI art/translation based.

And yeah, that SA LI has been repeatedly shoved in my face even though I haven’t taken his scenes. Oof. Just. Oof.

Then I wrote a fanfic and somehow Dimi (Mino?) became a thing with zero intention of that happening 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was one of those people who wouldn't ship Dino with Mimi because Dino was mine in one HS playthrough I did. 😅
