We are talking about the Savior of Olympus, the bearer of Achilles Curse, the strongest demigod, the man who denied immortality from the King of Gods, Poseidon's favorite son, the only demigod to have been approached by other Pantheons first and well respected among their demigod equivalents, the only male demigod to have respect of Artemis, only one to be favored by so many Gods on the Olympian Council and that's only pre-Heroes of Olympus.

The Survivor of Tartarus, the demigod whose blood even Gaia wanted to wake to due to his power, the first and only Greek to be made a Praetor and now two times savior of Olympus. This is all without mentioning his singular and unique feats, and he has many.

AND THIS IS WHAT RICK DOES WITH HIS CHARACTER ARC????

Had Rick not been so obsessed with shoving Percabeth down our throats, he could have totally made Seafam Arc, and all our fics would have not been fics. We wouldn't even have needed headcanons for seafam cause Amphitrite and Triton and all of Atlantis would have absolutely loved him cause come on, it's Percy. It's impossible not to love him. So let's assume that's exactly what happened.

So the whole of Atlantis, Seafam, and most of the Olympian Gods love Percy and not to mention Sally and Paul, who are also very protective of Percy.

The new Lord of the Wild is his best friend, The Lieutenant of Artemis is his other best friend and cousin, both the children of Hades/Pluto are his best friends/cousins, the only other demigod to be blessed by Poseidon with a rare gift is also his very close friend not to mention other members of the Seven also respect him greatly and owe him quite a bit.

Hestia, Apollo, Hermes, Aphrodite, Artemis,Hades, Hepheastus, and even Dionysus and River gods either openly favor him or have much respect for him. (Poseidon and the Seafam are implied, Bob and Damasen as well).

This isn't even taking into account all the pegasi and nymphs and sea creatures who love him and that he has a literal hell hound.

Percy not only has friends in high places and the favor of literal gods on top of being Poseidon's favorite son as told by Poseidon himself, all the people with special abilities are all close friends with him.

In Riordanverse, Percy is like the only person you don't want to cross like ever.

So you know logically if anyone needs an explanation as to why Annabeth isn't a good match for him and someone like Rachel would have fit much better. A mortal blessed with sight much like his Mother later turned Oracle of Delphi, the girl who saved his life in literally the very first two encounters they have, a girl under protection of Olympians and blessed by Apollo?

Apollo could have definitely waived the celibacy rule as there have been mentions of married women later becoming oracles in Greek mythology( May Castellan too if you count the books) and that the rule is only to prove devotion to the God nothing more. And if Apollo can't, then Delphi, who is a spirit older than Gods themselves, could just change allegiances. She once belonged to Poseidons' domain, so there's that.

But since I am biased in favor of Rachel, literally any other ship but Percabeth would have been logical and fitting and better off compatibility wise.

i think this is true! i mean i don’t know if he cares quite that much, considering in cotg he didn’t even know her name lol. That moment when after weeks of TMNT brainrot, you get hit with sudden Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus brainrot and now your thoughts are genderfluid Percy and nonbinary Nico and a hell of a lot of headcanons. Now I'm sharing some.

Thats all my mind is now. Along with gnc Leo who will wear literally anything, Percabeth wearinf matching dresses, Piper and Nico friendship. Percy steals Annabeth's clothes cause they're similar in height and stature due to training. Piper lends Nico some of her clothes wgen Nico first comes out cause Nico is wary about buying their own fem-type clothes at first due to internalized transphobia(this is helped by Will and their friends supporting them unconditionally).

Its all demigods. And Zeus bein a dick, and only calling Percy and Nico he/him. But hey, at least Poseidon and Hades are trying!

Another headcanon, despite Triton claiming to hate his half-sibling he always seems to have a sense as to what pronouns Percy is using whenever he visits Atlantis and he always gets Percy's pronouns right. And whenever Percy switches midday, Amphitrite makes a point to make sure Poseidon knows and doesn't fuck it up. (we need more of Percy getting along with his seafam. Give me nice step-mother Amphitrite and protective half-brother Triton)

I have so many things to say.

Percy, Nico, and Thalia go thrifting together to get new clothes. They choose thrifting cause: 1.None of them like Hot Topic or Spencer's prices or stuff, it just isn't exactly what they like, 2.Thrifting allowing them to also pick up stuff for their friends as well, 3.It's easier to find actual vintage type clothes when thrifting and easier to diy some other clothes they find. All in all, the three of them just find a lot more when thrifting than compared to anywhere else.

Sally hosts monthly Big Three Kid sleepovers and monthly "The Seven + others" sleepovers. She and Paul love having demigods over and have given both of their phone numbers and the home phone number to Chiron incase any Campers(especially Percy's friends)need a quiet/safe space. She sends containers of blue cookies to all of Percy's closest friends on their birthdays.

Clarisse and Percy friendship!! They respect eachother and have friendly spars often. And if they send eachother Birthday and Christmas gifts? No one has to know, it would ruin their rivalry setup! Except everyone knows they do respect eachother.

percy never, ever thinks of her as anything less than a mother. ever. he is hers as he is Sally's, as he is Poseidon's.

she's also the rational one in his family. Poseidon, Sally, triton, they're all irrational in their care for him - understandably - that they never see him as more than a defenseless baby who needs protection. she helps percy discover who he is outside of atlantis' gates and guards, and she trusts him and his capability. she's the first to do that, and that means so much to twelve year old percy. that there's someone out there who isn't just freaking out over him (she's doing that too lmao) but TRUSTS that he has the ability to do his quest well. self esteem boost!

literally every time i post a chapter about the pjo!universe, i always gotta brace myself for the wattpad comments cuz some of the ppl there are completely misinterpreting things and sometimes it's because of their own bias getting in the way or because my writing makes them think that and i do NOT want it to be the second 😭😭😭😭😭😭

let me just make this clear right now because some of my wattpad readers seem to have a very negative view of the pjo characters in my fic and i don't want my other readers thinking that's what i'm going for:

sally jackson IS a good mom and percy loves her

anthonius loves and cares for percy and vice versa

chiron loves and cares for percy, like he does with all the other campers

the pjo!gods are not black and white. there is no "the pjo!gods are all terrible parents blah blah blah!". it is a lot more nuanced than that; this has literally been shown and discussed many times in the books AND the tv show has written this out beautifully

hades is not a terrible father and nico doesn't hate him. pls read the books, hades and nico's bond gets better and nico is illegally living with him in the underworld, which no demigod, NOT EVEN PERCY, has done with their own godly parent

triton's hatred and jealousy towards percy is valid. imagine watching your father claim to love and care for your mother while having 100s of side pieces and then imagine realizing that he actually LOVES one of the side pieces and LOVES a random demigod child that popped up while you've been loyal to him for thousands of years. imagine him leaving behind his own kingdom and family (leaving YOU) to face oceanus' army because said child asked for his help.

Chapter 2, Part 3: The Sea Protects

To say that Triton and Amphitrite were shocked would be an understatement.

The first new god was due to be born in a millenia, and their death was set when they were only 16!

Triton seems to disassociate, thinking about his own daughter Pallas. She was born a naiad and was almost secured in her divinity, when Zeus distracted his daughter during a sparring match and Athena killed her, her spear piercing through Pallas’ chest, just because Pallas was winning.

He saw his daughter's pained youthful face looking towards her friend her lover Athena, her golden hair soaked with blood, the pearls in her hair cascading to the sea floor, and then her breaths stilled and she fell limp. Pallas’ face fell towards Triton, and her once beautiful sparkling blue eyes were dead. There was no longer any light in her eyes.

Triton screamed in anguish and fury. The oceans raged like never before when the prince of the peaceful seas grew violent. He was held back by his mother from doing anything rash, but still Athena, his daughter a goddess he was tasked to care for by Zeus, was forever banished from the seas, from her first home, from her foster father. And no gods born from the sky were ever allowed into the sea again.

He couldn't do this again. He couldn’t see another young face like Pallas lose their light.

He abruptly straightened up and cried, "I can't do this again," and swam away, lost in his sorrows.

"Triton," Amphitrite and Poseidon yell after their son, but he is already gone.

"I'm sorry, he's probably just remembering some bad memories," Amphitrite sighs and looks softly into Loki's eyes, "We all are."

"If you don't mind me asking, what is everyone remembering?" Loki asks hesitantly.

Amphitrite takes a deep, shaky breath, and Poseidon goes over to squeeze his wife’s hand assuringly, “I-It’s just our granddaughter, Triton’s first and only child, Pallas. Triton crafted her through his very essence, but she needed time to be secured in her divinity. She was taken much before her time, and with your baby having a death sentence over their head, it likely brought up bad memories for Triton. Another child who will never make it to adulthood.” Amphitrite started crying, and Poseidon held her tightly in his arms.

Poseidon's eyes started to grow wet, but he stubbornly refused to cry.

“Poseidon,” Loki says softly, “It’s alright to cry, and I’m sure Amphitrite doesn’t mind either. Norns knows how much I cried when I heard that prophecy.” Loki will do what he can to support his love. He knows that like the sea, Poseidon loves fiercely and vastly, and he needs the support from Loki and Amphitrite both.

Amphitrite takes a shuddering breath and looks into Poseidon’ turbulent eyes, like the froshing grays before a storm, “Husband, Loki is right. We both still grieve our granddaughter, and it is alright to express that.” Then she turns and gives a watery smile at Loki, “I’m glad my husband found another who can support and love him. Thank you, Loki.”

Loki takes a shuddering breath, surprised and happy that Amphitrite accepts him, and nods at Amphitrite. He also realizes that he never needed to be jealous of their open relationship because Poseidon gets to receive love from multiple people, and Loki finds himself oddly alright with that, and is sure Amphitrite feels the same way.

“I don’t know if I can, my loves,” Poseidon says heartbrokenly after their speeches, “I’m so used to being strong, I don’t know if I can be weak. W-what if I hurt our people? My emotions cause turbulent tides and storms and earthquakes, and if I start, I fear I won’t be able to hold back. I don’t want to go back to my old self that caused so much destruction.”

“Dear,” Ampitrite says sadly to Poseidon, “I’ll be here to weather your storm, as I’ll be here to comfort you through your rains. I’m the calming sea to your turbulent sea, and I will always be. You don’t have to hold back, as I’ll always be there to balance you out. You’ve changed for the better, and I don’t believe it possible that this loving man in front of me could ever go back to his old self.”

“I know what it's like to cause destruction in your wake,” Loki starts and heads to sit next to Poseidon and wraps his arms around him as Amphitrite does, “But what’s most important is finding those who can support you through it, and I’ve found that having those people near always settle the storm. I’m here Poseidon, and Amphitrite is here to support you, we’ll calm your storm and be here through everything.”

“I-I,” Poseidon says, shaking as tears escape his cloudy eyes, “Thank you.” And he starts sobbing in his lover's arms. The seas darken and grow dangerous, and storms and hurricanes start to form. However, Amphitrite, true to her word, even as her eyes are wet, calms her lover's destruction in non-fatal storms, hurricanes, and seas.

After they grieve, Poseidon says softly, “Pallas, was our beautiful and creative and troublemaking granddaughter. She always had ways to make us laugh, and she loved all life around her. She somehow though always found new ways to get into trouble. One day, when one of her pets, sorry friends,” Poseidon laughs wetly, remembering his granddaughter’s correction.

Poseidon then continues, “One of her friends died, and she created her first storm in her grief, and she was terrified of all the destruction she caused. She ended up destroying the ship that killed her friend, but even still, she never killed any of the people on board. They all managed to get safely to shore. A young man, though, who was part of that ship’s crew, saw her grieving over the dead fish, and proceeded to dedicate the rest of his life to saving marine life and giving his respects to Pallas. Then, his descendants after him, and so on, and today they own one of the largest marine life conservations and rehabilitations in the world called Pallas’ Ocean Rehabilitation. I’ve forgotten that Pallas blessed his family and still that blessing holds onto his descendants for all long as they do have good in their hearts, and that in her first destruction she paved the way for life to continue flourishing. I’ve forgotten the lesson that Pallas taught me that day, that destruction isn’t always bad.”

“I miss my granddaughter greatly, but I’ve forgotten her life in the tragedy of her death, and I think Triton needs to hear this, to remember those silly and fun and loving times with Pallas, so he can celebrate her life and start to move on from her death.” Poseidon states and stands up to go find his son.

Loki is in awe of Pallas and her beautiful story, and hopes to hear more about her, and hopes that Triton will be alright.

“I think Triton needs to hear that,” Amphitrite smiles and tells Poseidon before he leaves to go find their son, “I think we’ve all just been ignoring our grief, and forgotten how Pallas brought us together as a family, and how what we really needed was to stay together and not pull apart in our grief.”

“I agree,” Poseidon says and goes to find Triton.

“Pallas sounds like an amazing person, and I’m sad that I’ll never get to meet her,” Loki says sincerely to Amphitrite once Poseidon leaves.

“She was.” Amphitrite reminisces.

They sit in comfortable silence for a bit, and Loki thinks about Pallas both her tragedy and her impact on those around her. She was amazing and seemed to be full of life. Loki gently holds his flat stomach. Even if his child doesn’t have much time, he’ll be sure to enjoy every moment. Every life, every stumble, even every destruction. Even though the prophecy calls for the savior or the destroyer of Olympus, Loki will never turn his back on his child. Perhaps, even as a destroyer, the child will instead be like Pallas and pave the way for a brighter future.

Loki smiles, his destroyer, he likes the sound of that. Loki shakes his head, that’s in the future, and Loki knows whatever the child chooses he’ll stand behind them until the end.

Also, I had to add Pallas. She really underrated in mythology and needed her mentioned somehow.

You know in a normal, no mythological world au, the seafam(and this does include Sally, Paul, and Estelle) family reunions and birthdays parties are always one step away from being a get-into-jail-free-card but somehow everyone is always having fun and near the end they gather with cake slices(baked by both Sally and Amphitrite) and glasses of juice or wine and they bitch abt their other non-seafam family members.

Poseidon is that rich parent that doesn't know how kids work and by the time Percy and Tyson he's decided that he will spoil them but back up their mother's punishments(except he gets custody of Tyson when he's really young and Amphitrite is very happy to have another child to raise and so Tyson is tripple spoiled, quadruple spoiled if you count Sally and Paul(which you should) whom got together way earlier here and there was no Gabe).

I need help to make a decision.

I'm writing a female Percy Jackson fic and I'm deciding on the name. I have two options, each has their own symbolism and heavy meaning in the narrative, since I'm gonna follow the canon fact that Sally wanted her child's name to have a strong influence in his life (and that most mothers of demigods choose names that tie them to the gods).

I'll explain my reasons for each one and then I hope you can help me because I really can't decide:

First one is Persea. I know, sounds like just Perseus with an added "a", but it's more than that. In Greek mythology, Persea was one of the Oceanids, who were all water nymphs daughters of the Titan Oceanus and Thethys. Other variations of her name are Perse, Persa, Perseide and Perseis. She married Helios, God of the Sun, and was the mother of Circe. Also, her name in Ancient Greek literally means "destroyer".

Amphitrite, Poseidon's wife, is a water nymph too and, depending of which interpretation of her origins you prefer, she's a sister or cousin of Persea. Since she has a rather important role in my au, it wouldn't be weird that Sally chooses a name that endears her daughter to Amphitrite, a name that honours her stepmother in some way. Unlike other goddesses, she was actually kind to Poseidon's demigod children, and in the books she even bakes cookies for Percy when he stays at her and Poseidon's palace. Maybe this small detail with the name would make her like Percy even more. And this way, she still keeps her unfamous nickname. "Sea" would also be a nickname for her, which I think fits perfectly with her theme.

Then we have Ariadna. My explanation for this one is much shorter, because the symbolism here would be more about the romantic aspect of the narrative than her identity as whole. Ariadna (or Ariadne) was a daughter of King Minos, son of Zeus, and Pasiphaë, daughter of Helios with his wife Persea, which also made her half-sister of the Minotaur. There are many interpretations of her myth, but in all of them she falls for Theseus, helps him kill the Minotaur to escape the labyrinth and he abandons her on an island while she was sleeping. Then Dionysus finds her, becomes determined to make her happy again, and in the process they fall in love, eventually getting married. In the books, their marriage is described as a loving one, so you could say Ariadna was one of the few heroes that got a happy ending, like Perseus.

In my au, she's going to have a rather complicated relationship with Luke through the story (let's leave it like that), and Ariadna is very conscious about her namesake's myth, because it's a cautionary tale as much as a hopeful one. Ariadna finds happiness after facing her own tribulations, sure, but the reason of her suffering starts because she trusted her heart to a man that was only using her for his goals, who pretended to love her as well. Ariadna Jackson sees Luke as the Theseus of her story, a boy who has her heart but also causes her pain. She knows trusting him could easily end in disaster, and she refuses to commit the same mistake the original Ariadna did. At the same time, it's not clear wether Luke only wants to use her or holds genuine feelings for her. It's all a mess.

This could be a somewhat comedic point in her interactions with Dionysus/Mr D when they meet, because the reason he despises heroes is for what Theseus did to his wife, but then this kid, this aspiring hero, is named after said wife. It'll be confusing, maybe uncomfortable for both. He either hates her or treats her somewhat kindly, and she can't understand for the life of hers what the fuck did her namesake saw in this man. She feels weird with the situation, even disgusted at being named after such man's wife.

Her nickname would be Aria. Aria Jackson. It certainly has a nice ring to it.

Summary: Percy comes home to something he never wanted to know.

Notes: Had another thought for this one! Don't worry, Percy is not traumatized (much), only slightly. He'll be ok, probably better if he had some dinner tbh.

Percy had it all planed out for what he'd do when he got home. He'd have dinner with his mother and Paul, he'd have a shower, he'd go then go in his room, IM Annabeth and then go to what better be a beautiful peaceful sleep.

He deserved it.

However, the second he opened the door all thoughts of his plans instantly shriveled up and died. 

"What is happening." Percy said, his body going numb and refusing to believe what he's seeing in front of him.

"Percy, sweetheart, you're home," his mother said with a smile as she stood up from the couch and came to hug him. Percy's arms automatically wrapped around his mother in response, but he couldn't take his eyes off what was in front of him.

Paul waved to him from the couch.

Percy gave a little wave back.

"Mum," Percy whispered into her ear, "why are they here?"

'They' referring to his father, Poseidon the God of the Sea, and his step mother, Amphitrite the Goddess of the Sea, who are sitting on the couch with Paul. His father also looks to be sitting really close to Paul, infact if his father was to move his leg just one more centimetre their knees would be touching.

His mother drew back from the hug and brushed a hand through Percy's hair, "they're here for dinner sweetie." She said with a smile.

"Dinner?"

She nodded, "Dinner."

Percy looked back at the group of the couch who seemed to be giving him weird smiles, "and why is-," he stopped and frowned, "dad why are you sitting that close to Paul?" 

"My son, I think-," 

"Wait," Percy cut his father off and looked back at his mother, "and mum why were you sitting super close to Lady Amphitrite?"

His mother bit her lip and looked back at the group then back at him and gave a little sigh, "Percy," she said, "I think you know."

Percy shook his head and stepped back from his mother letting her hands fall off him. "No."

"Percy." His mother called softly. 

He shook his head again, "this is not happening, this is a dream, a really bad nightmare. I must of done something to piss off Morpheus."

"My son, I swear to you this is no dream." His father called from the couch.

Percy closed his eyes and covered his ears, "this is not happening." He whispered to himself.

He felt a light touch on his arm and opened his eyes to see Lady Amphitrite in front of him, her ocean blue eyes stunning him for a moment, "Percy," she said, "would it be so bad?" 

"My Lady," he said, "I mean no disrespect but yes." 

He stood even further back, "I need to go," and ran to his room and locked the door. He tried not to think about the muffled conversation he could barely hear through it.

He quickly went to make a rainbow with his humidifier and lamp and sat of his bed.

"Oh Fleecy, do me a solid," he called and tossed a coin into the rainbow mist, "please show me Annabeth, wherever she may be."

Annabeth's face soon formed in the mist. 

"Annabeth," he called/cried, "help me."

"Percy, what's wrong, what's happened?" She said looking worried with her hand twitching to her dagger. 

"This is the worst day of my life," he said and ignored his stomach grumbling, Gods he was so hungry.

"Seaweed brain what do you mean?"

"My parents are dating!" He said and face planted into his pillow and groaned loudly.

"Sally and Lord Poseidon?"

Percy lifted himself slightly from the pillow, "no, well yes but I mean Paul and Lady Amphitrite too."

"Percy, what-"

"All four are dating each other!" He said with a pain he's sure no one has felt before and let his face fall on the pillow again to groan into it.

"Oh Seaweed brain."

Percy groaned again.

This started as a Percy, Annabeth, Al and Ethan AU so I'll get into that

Annabeth is the Crown Princess (Heir) of Athens, she has one brother and that's Malcom! Athens is a large kingdom, the queen, Athena, is the daughter of the Olympian king Zeus. He gave his daughter a portion of his own kingdom to call her own.

Alabaster is the Crown Prince of Epirus, he had two siblings, his late older brother Edward and his younger sister Lou. Eprius is a rather small kingdom, most of it's resources come from it's neighboring kingdom, Elysium, as the queen, Hecate, is friends with the king, Hades.

Annabeth and Alabaster met during a council meeting their parents attended, being around the same age and both rather antsy they were brought to a separate room when it proved they weren't going to provide much to the meeting.

Being the heirs to their respective kingdoms, they're of course expected to marry, and they opted to choose each other rather then someone they don't know.

Being royals, they're typically at risk for some sort of attack, Alabaster is the oldest now for a reason of course. Because of this, both of them have personal guards, Annabeths is Ethan, the son of the captain of the royal guard, Nemesis. Alabasters is Percy, the son of two castle workers in Eprius, Sally, a baker and Paul, a tutor. (both of which previously lived in atlantis but left because they were lovers of the king)

Before they were able to actually get married, a war broke out. Hecate and Athena took opposing sides and so the engagement was broken.

Now for the sake of me not mentally hurting myself I've changed a lot of relationships 💀 So, Zeus, Hades and Poseidon are brothers and its just the three of them. Hera, Hestia and Demeter are sisters and again, just the three of them.

Zeus and Hera are married the only child they have together is Ares. Zeus also has Apollo and Artemis, Athena, Thalia and Jason as results of affairs. They rule Olympus, with Thalia as their heir.

As I mentioned before, Athena was given a portion of Olympus to rule while Hecate rules Epirus, a kingdom hidden in the mountains.

Hades is married to Persephone, they have Zagreus and Melionë together, while also having Bianca and Nico with Maria, a partner of theirs, and Hazel with Marie, another partner of theirs. The rule Elysium with Bianca as their heir.

Poseidon is married to Amphitrite, they have Triton, Rhode and Kymopoleia together. They rule Atlantis with Triton as their heir.

Ares is married to Aphrodite, they both have children prior to their marriage; Ares has Clarisse, Sherman, Frank and Ellis while Aphrodite has Silena, Drew, Mitchell, Piper and Valentina. The two of them rule Cyprus with Clarisse and Silena as their heirs.

Apollo was married to Saige, they had Lee together, but she passed when he was a few months old. Apollo had Michael, Will, Kayla and Austin after her passing. Though, he never took another queen. He rules Delphi with Lee as his heir. Artemis resides in his kingdom as a princess, preferring that to ruling her own. She leaves the kingdom often, going on hunts and aiding girls who had been abandoned or ran away from their homes. She has her own with in the Delphic castle that houses herself and her hunters.

Hermes, much like Aphrodite, is not related to any of them, he and his wife, Peitho. He has Luke, Chris, Travis, Connor and Cecil. With Peitho, he rules Maia, a kingdom he created himself and named after his mother, with Luke as their heir.

There are a few marriage arrangements among kingdoms, being Luke and Thalia, Lee and Silena and Clarisse and Chris.

When Percy was about 12 years old Poseidon found out the truth, that Sally was Metis with her powers removed to make her mortal in order to live out a normal life. She doesn't know that he knows this, and when he realized that Metis and Sally were in fact one in the same he went to the only deity besides her that he thought might have answers. Nyx was reluctant to give him answers, until he explained why he was asking.

After that his plan was to fake Percy's death, until a ship landed in the ocean he saved one of the children who was still alive but wouldn't have made it without his help. In doing so the alien child became his son as far as the fates were concerned, he took the opportunity to give Sally another child to be able to raise but didn't tell her he'd done so. Then he took Percy to his castle under the ocean, and explained to both him and Amphitrite why he was there and that it was as much to protect Sally as it was to protect Percy.

Amphitrite wasn't happy about it because it meant her sister was still out of her reach, but she welcomed her nephew. They pretended that he was her demigod child to explain his powers as well as why he was living with them, well keeping the thought of prophecy off of him in the other gods eyes. They knew that they would have to come up with an alias for him as well, but to allow him to keep going by Percy Amphitrite insisted they use 'Percival' if he were to ever go to camp.

Well Amphitrite was told about the 'replacement child' that Poseidon had pushed towards Sally, Percy was not. As far as he knew his mother thought he was dead, and when he found out the truth it wasn't pretty. A fight erupted between him and Poseidon, Amphitrite basically saying "I told you to tell him about this when he got here" and taking Percy's side well sipping tea out of a 'worlds best aunt step-mom' mug.
