The hellfire animatronics (upgraded versions of the twisted ones)
The night terror animatronics (scrap’s, night terror Freddy, night terror Bonnie, night terror foxy, and night terror chica,)
The salvage animatronics (salvage Monty, salvage freddy, salvage ennard, and darktrap) (constructed from broken animatronics) (end is are exposed) (partially inspired by the ignited animatronics)
And the omori charecters are cannon to the malefactor malfunction au cuz why the fuck not
The springlock animatronics (fredbear, spring Bonnie, and Alastair)
Villains for malefactor malfunction can be found here
How the AU’s work
Each au has four version (book style in which it falls into silver eye’s continuity, game style in which it falls into game continuity, movie style in which it falls into movie continuity, and amalgam style in which it combines all three continuity’s into one)
In xanthophobia Cassidy is the villain (William afton die’s extremely soon in the AU and for once in his life never comes back)
So in my most of my AU’s the souls are able to grow old despit not being alive which explains any shipping you might see. Most of it isn’t my doing though
Elizabeth x Nick is only cannon in golden children
Unless its Evan x Cassidy or Mike x Charlie
TF2 is cannon in the golden children au (i mostly just wanted to make fnaf 2 Jeremy TF2 Jeremy)
The golden children au takes place in the late 80s to early 90s with flash forwards towards the pizzaplex era while the shattered souls au takes place in 1991 and the malefactor malfunction shifts the entire time line to start in 2000 GMTC takes place around 1999 to 2018 xanthophobia takes place in in the 2000s and 2010s
In shattered souls Springtrap is much nicer due to him losing his murdeous tendencies after getting spring locked
malefactor malfunction is a Ben 10 fnaf crossover with Cassidy having a version of the omnitrix called kaizotrix
The blog itself is cannon in all AU’s
This is a link to the malefactor malfunction aliens list for all of Cassidy’s kaizotrix transformations
As well as facts about the malefactors
Also a timeline for my main AU

Currently thinking about all the side character friendships we never got to fully explore in TOH
Amity & Tinella Nosa
Tumblr media
These two have definitely conversed off screen. I wonder what they talk about. Maybe they met at the library, since Nosa is shown to be a lover of books (or at least John DePlume in S1E11). It would also make sense that they’d befriend each other at the library since Amity is shown to have a softer side there (it’s her safe space).
Tumblr media
Maybe Nosa asked her for help researching her theories and they started a conversation from there. Whatever the case, Amity is close enough to her that she feels comfortable confiding about her nerves around Luz.
Tumblr media
(Second screenshot from 10:09 of the TOH/Amphibia crossover MAP.)
That’s one friendship I think about sometimes. The other one is…
Gus & King
The show has hinted that these two have interacted offscreen. Most notably I think of the voice mail from S2E5.
Tumblr media
I think these two bond over being the baby of most friend groups. Also interest in human things, maybe. Imagine if King brought Gus some stuff from Owlbert’s human junk runs.
Last but not least,
Steve & Lilith
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that Steve was possibly Lilith’s only friend inside the coven.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We never see Lilith interacting amicably with any other member in the coven. Aside from Lilith’s family, Hooty, and Flora Desplora (who was deliberately sent there to piss Lilith off) no one else attends her job party.
I also find Steve as a character interesting. Just about everyone who enters the Emperor’s coven seems to lose a part of their soul in the work. Hunter, having been raised there, developed a warped sense of friendship in which backstabbing is normal and expected. Lilith, in pursuit of the EC, cursed her sister, her best friend.
Yet somehow, for reasons never truly explained in the show, Steve never seems to lose his spark. He remains just that normal helpful guy that somehow, no one has problems with. Both Hunter and Lilith get along well with him.
Tumblr media
I seriously wonder how that happened.
Also it’s confirmed that Steve Tholomule and Matt Tholomule (can’t believe that’s their last name) are half brothers. In the show, it’s said that once you join the coven, you abandon your friends and family forever. And yet, in S2E5, it’s implied that Matt got the map to the Galderstones from Steve in exchange for 35 nuggies. I so wish we got more screen time for Steve. I wanna know more about this dude, I wanna go out for coffee and talk about life with this guy. Just seems so chill.
Which underrated friendship would y’all like to have seen more of?

(If TGAMM had Amphibia's plot): Where does ollie fit into this?
Oh yeah, he and his family are in this!
So you know how the Goverment was after the Plantars in Amphibia (I think that was what happened)? The Chens are like the equivalent of that since they are ghost hunters. They moved to Brighton while Molly was gone and befriended the McGees. They were among the many to helped the McGees out and were there for them when Molly was missed, and they were happy for them when she came back home after being gone for a few months.
When Molly returns with Scratch, she learns about the new neighbors (and throws a fit about not being there to throw a welcome for them). She meets them and of course, falls for Ollie as does he. Though her big goal is still to figure out a way back to the Ghost World so she can save it as well as her friends.
So how is Ollie’s family still a threat? Well, Scratch may have regained his human form upon returning to the Living World, but–due to certain reasons–his soul isn’t one hundred percent sealed back in his body and can get easily knocked out of it (like if you ran into a pole, tripped and landed face first on the floor, or get struck with a baseball). Unfortunately, that happens a lot to him during the temporary time spent in the human world, and of course having actual proof of a ghost in Brighton gets the Chens’ attention. (Side note: Molly doesn't have the same problem–her soul is fully sealed in her body) All the while they just assume Scratch is a family friend of the McGees. Much like in canon, he doesn’t immediately warm up to Ollie since the boy is a bit of a danger to him.
(I admit, I didn’t want Scratch to stay human ALL the time during the temporary return to Brighton. Things are a bit more fun/interesting if he still gets to be a ghost in the living world a few times.)
So eventually, Ollie does uncover the truth about Scratch after one incident forces the latter to become a ghost, but Molly is quick to explain things and she and Scratch get an ally in the boy (and eventually his sister). He and June are helpful when the more antagonistic ghosts gradually start to escape the Ghost World and invade Brighton.

talk about Collector
WHYYYYYYYYYY okay now that I got that off my chest let's get serious LMAO
Before I dive in too deep, to any other ppl reading, THIS IS YOUR FAIR WARNING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ ANY CRITICISM OF TOH. Something that is really apparent in this fandom particularly is that a lot of ppl refuse to allow and accept genuine criticism discussions, dumbing it down to personal biases, misinterpretations of the text (or in this case, the show), and proclaiming "It's intentional that the show did that!" every time someone breathes something negative about it. This is ESPECIALLY annoying with the "Blame Disney/the shortening" nonsense -- a key skill in television writing is to be capable of working with the allotted time that the studios give you. After they were told Season 3 got cut short, they still had 11 22-minute episodes of Season 2 and all three 40+ minute episodes of Season 3 to conclude the story in a satisfying way.
Seeking and reading criticism posts outside of the general tags, ignoring warnings on posts that give forewarnings, then getting mad and upset that someone criticized your comfort show is generally an unhealthy behavior, especially if you're not in a good mental state. If you can't take people criticizing something you enjoy, and more-so if you deem it your comfort media, and feel the need to bother them because you made yourself upset reading their posts, you've got a lot of soul searching to do. That, or maybe you should log off until you can handle it.
Also, obviously, spoilers ahead for TOH, as well as Amphibia because these shows parallel a lot more than I want them to. :')
---
I have a LOT to say about The Owl House from a critical and writing perspective, and I feel like the show is EXTREMELY overhyped for what it actually is. I feel its sister show Amphibia executed much of the same/similar themes better, and that's not even a bias thing. Just from the way both shows are written, you can tell which one feels more competently structured from a narrative standpoint (and, let's be honest, which one is actually funny).
Okay enough about general opinion, let's get to Collector. From a character design perspective, GOD I love this little guy, both the reflection/shadow form and the actual form are distinct from the rest of the cast. I'm a big Sun and Moon design/symbolism enjoyer (Sun and Moon from FNAF, Sun and Blake from RWBY, Celestia and Luna from MLP:FiM, etc.) so these types of characters are always welcome. And while their voice annoys me personally it ABSOLUTELY fits them, so no matter how annoying I find it I don't think I'd want them to have any other voice.
But that, unfortunately, is the only props I can give to Collector.
The show is FULL of redeemed antagonists that range from okay (I'd like to think Amity was decent enough and Hunter was alright but definitely should have been introduced earlier so his redemption was a slow burn but this post isn't about them so I'll end this note here) to "what the actual fuck" (Idc what anyone says, there is no excuses PERIOD, Lilith's redemption was the absolute worst redemption arc I think I've ever seen AND I'VE SEEN CATRA'S), and Collector is very much on the lower end of that scale. We hardly see them overall and their character writing is rushed beyond belief -- and again, I'd like to reiterate that that is ENTIRELY on the writing team for the show. Disney and the shortening DID NOT DECIDE TO KEEP COLLECTOR IN. The writing staff were aware of the time they had left and made the decision to shoehorn them in and expect everyone to just be okay with it.
From a writing perspective, they bloat the story exponentially and 100% should have been left in the drafts or saved for future content like what Dana said she might do if she is able to through books and such. If we only get hints of the other Collectors, this one should have STAYED hints with them.
We have essentially no significant amount of time with them outside of Hollow Mind and the season 2 finale before season 3, and what we DO have of them in season 2B is so drastically different I'd consider 2B Collector and 3 Collector as two different characters entirely. And before you tell me, "They're different because sun/moon symbolism!" "They're different because Belos and King influence them differently!" etc. etc., don't waste your time. Yes, those are good explanations as to why they feel so different between seasons, but that does not make the writing of the character inherently good. Allow me to elaborate:
In S2B, of what little we see of Collector, they are extremely sadistic in nature, and while they appear childish the writing of that lack of care for others is ABUNDANTLY CLEAR. And it seemed that way even as Belos first encountered him as Philip in the flashback episode. There, they weren't yet "influenced" by Belos and his plans; hell, he hardly had an actual plan yet.
Skip ahead to Hollow Mind, easily the best episode of Season 2 imo, and Collector is taunting Belos, mocking him and his schemes. Saying things like "Ooh, you were mad!" and "I'm starting to think you make those [grimwalkers] just to destroy them. You have fun with it, admit it!"
I cannot find any reasonable explanation as to how or why Belos would influence Collector into doing such things. Why would he want a little pain in the ass making fun of him for hundreds of years? And by his response to Collector's taunt about the grimwalkers and Hunter, "Of course I don't, Collector. It hurts every time he chooses to betray me," he took offense to their words, but kept his tone from shifting to anger as he does with everyone else because of Collector's power.
Belos doesn't want Collector thinking he doesn't like them because of their abilities, but he does want to stay on their good side for information. For knowledge of spells. And he puts up with Collector's annoyances because of that.
Essentially, that wasn't something Belos taught them or influenced them to do. All Collector knows is to adapt to their friends' behaviors, yes, but Belos is like, over 400 years old. I don't know about you, but I doubt with the way he speaks and how he's written that he would taunt his underlings in the same childish vain as Collector, and do so enough for Collector to pick up and mimic that behavior.
Now to the finale, their appearance is pretty much just them getting duped by Belos and sent into the depths of the titan skull, where King ever-so-conveniently finds them, making the pinky swear that releases them.
They maintain that mocking attitude even after Belos betrays them, calling King "boring" for calling them Mr. Collector and feeling generally disinterested by King before he promises a game to play. And even after they're released, they continue the attitude further with the whole "I remember someone throwing me off a bridge...I'm not angry, though!" bit, only to send Belos to his "death" moments after, deeming it as a game of tag. They've seen Belos kill grimwalkers first hand, fully aware that their lives mean nothing, and replicated the behavior by returning the favor to Belos (or so they thought). Their lack of care continues when they nearly try to do the same thing to the Hexsquad, people who didn't even do anything to them, before King stops them, changing the subject before they can cause further harm.
After stopping the draining spell, Collector continues the destructive maliciousness they have all the way to the end of the episode, and that's the impression of them we're left with. They were sadistic, uncaring and childish, but only learned the behavior of killing from Belos -- even though Belos didn't actually die, the intent was to kill him, and they were fully planning to continue with the Hexsquad.
And then...We get to Season 3.
Just a side-note, I think it's a safe assumption to say the first 2 seasons of The Owl House took place between roughly 2 months, as Luz was outside waiting to leave for a summer camp after the school year ended before initially arriving in the demon realm. Going off of that assumption, in Part 1 Luz returned to school as she returned to the human realm, presumably in late August/early September due to her living in Connecticut. And since Part 1 takes place in the timespan of about 3-7 days, the last day being Halloween, the timeskip only brought us about 2 more months ahead. Keep this in mind.
After Luz and co. return to the demon realm in Part 2 -- objectively the worst episode of the season -- we already see King's influence on Collector since they turned everyone into puppets instead of actively injuring or killing them when they don't comply. Still bad? Yes. But from how it looks in Part 3 with the Hexsquad, it seems more like the puppets' consciences are just comatose or an alternative to sleeping, maybe in a REM-like state. But of course, the show didn't have enough time to explain that further over all the nonsense in Part 2.
Anyway, when we see Collector in Part 2, they're still being childish, which is unfortunately the only thing that stays consistent with this character. They then say two lines that were the most god-awful writing decisions I've seen in a hot minute, and this show is STOCK FULL of really bad "this is peak humor LAUGH" moments like this.
They say that Eda has this "cool aunt vibe" and such, which sounds like one of those "character dynamics/tropes" posts on social media like Tumblr and whatnot. It comes off as really pretentious in the writing, and was shockingly unfunny to hear for a show that calls itself a comedy. Another line that frustrates me, more-so for lore reasons, is when they ask Odalia to make pizza bagels, when it was previously stated that human food is inaccessible to Luz during her time in the demon realm. So not only is it contradicting that whole thing (Eda actively struggled to find food for Luz that she could eat), how would they or King even know what one is or how to actually make one??
It seems like a small point to get heated over, but it once again feels like one of those stupid one-liners that one of the writers thought was the funniest shit they've ever thought up and kept it in because they knew die-hard fans would just laugh it off and brush it off as a joke, and that the writers forgetting about Eda's maternal struggle to feed her adopted kid is Disney's/the shortening's fault because they're at fault for everything wrong with the show...and not the ppl who wrote it.
Regardless, this whole shtick is extremely out-of-character for the way they had spoken in Season 2, and from what I can recall (I'm not gonna rewatch the entire show for the sake of a single post), King never talks like this. Luz does around him, but he himself doesn't talk like this.
I've discussed with friends before about this, including Robin (the one who asked me to talk about this), but from Part 2 onward Collector gets the same Luz-like writing every character that gets redeemed suddenly dawns out of the blue. I started calling it luz-ification, but it doesn't just happen to Collector.
It happened to Hunter, where his more cocky and ego-centric dialogues from early 2A was dropped for a more "comedic" personality and an anxiety-ridden character, though it's later eluded to that his cocky attitude was him masking his true self, so I try to keep it to that perspective.
But this happened to Lilith as well, where she suddenly started acting like "Cool Aunt Lilith" IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING HER ADMITTING TO CURSING EDA AND ALLOWING HER CAPTURE. WITH NO CONSEQUENCES TO BE FACED OTHER THAN THE CURSE SPLIT WHICH IS HARDLY UTILIZED IN THE SHOW.
(Side-tangent: Characters facing little to no consequences for their actions is something that goes on so much in this show but this is long enough already and I really don't like talking about this shit for long 'cause I could be using my time on better pieces of media, I'm sure there's plenty of posts explaining this point elsewhere by ppl who enjoyed TOH more than me)
Hell, it even happened to Amity for a hot minute. For some moments in the show she's written really off-character and saying things that just completely contradict how she's typically written, but then goes back to the more sassy and balanced character later on.
This post has gotten WAY longer than I wanted it to be, but to keep me from spending even more time on this, Part 2 shows a drastically different Collector, to the point that they do not by any means have the same character writing as they had before. They got luz-ified. Using social media lingo they couldn't even have access to in canon, and being written to quite literally just sound like a mini-me of Luz with the more obnoxious undertones of the childish thing.
Point is, they mimic these behaviors of Luz that they wouldn't even have reasonable access to learning from, because she's in the human realm for almost all the time after their release. It only makes sense in Part 3, when Luz is actually there for them to see her behaviors in action, but even that is so contrived and rushed that it feels unrealistic and narratively unnecessary. Remember what I said before about the timeskip only being 2 months? Yeah, 2 months isn't nearly enough time for a character to fundamentally change who they are as drastically as Collector.
Now to the part where I talk about Amphibia really quick and mention how it did the whole "having an alternative threat acting as a mini-boss" thing a million times better than this shit ever could. King Andrias, paralleling Collector for this particular scenario, is shown relatively early on that he's an antagonist to the audience. It's later revealed as a plot twist not to the audience, but to the characters, who least expected it. They don't waste time trying to throw off the audience with red herrings or telling its audience "He's not a bad guy, he's totally not going to be evil later on." They just show the audience he's evil and keep the story moving.
He's given enough time to feel like this ominous, looming threat, and True Colors masterfully showed how messed up this guy is and the lengths he is willing to go to ascend to the Core and cheat death, just as the souls within the Core had. His motive to avoid death and return Amphibia to the world-conquering ideologies from centuries' past is what made him such a love-to-hate villain. And the motive to cheat death in a children's cartoon? Metal as hell. The Core also parallels Belos here, and further on in Season 3, being the one manipulating Andrias through his fear of death in order to make him do what they want him to.
In the third season, Andrias continues his work by the Core's demands, only giving up in the final battle when he's read a letter from someone he had considered a friend long ago, which admittedly didn't have much set-up but it was at least the focus of an entire episode prior to the big pre-finale.
At the end of the series, he's shown to have moved on, allowing himself to age naturally and to stop using technology to keep him in pristine condition for eternity. He accepted the natural cycle of life, and in turn accepted that he will come to pass one day. He wasn't a perfectly written character, but considering what it's being compared to? Leagues better.
Like I said before, TL;DR, Collector is the bloatware of The Owl House's plot. They were shoved in as a last minute addition because they were the writers' "precious bean silly goose little gremlin blorbo" that they couldn't just keep in the drafts with the rest of the collectors. So instead of maintaining what little integrity the show's writing had to begin with and follow through to the end with the Day of Unity plotline being the series finale (Which was VERY OBVIOUSLY WHAT THEY WERE GOING FOR), they essentially made a side quest distraction that dragged the story on for longer than it needed to, wasting the audience's time.
I'm not mad that the Collector exists, I just find that their inclusion in the series did more harm than good for the writing. The show has a serious issue with giving screentime to unnecessary characters like the miscellaneous Hexside students, giving characters too much screentime (The biggest offender for this is Amity, there's more episodes centered around her than Hunter, Willow and Gus combined) and not giving ACTUALLY necessary characters enough screentime (Looking at you, Emerald Trio).
I really want to rewrite TOH, and if I feel the need to rewrite a show, it's usually because there's too much fundamentally wrong with it for me to give it anything higher than a 6/10 overall. But I've already got a whole AU and a whole rewrite in the works for two other series I care wayyyyy more about, so that's gonna have to be left to other writers in this fandom.
---
If this post is how you've stumbled upon my page, hi :') Feel free to ask me about more or to elaborate on smth I said here if you want clarification, but if you check out my intro post and see another mutual interest we have maybe ask me about that instead of TOH please and thank you

Seeing this reminded me of my old Amphibia x Undertale AU so I’m officially revamping it with a side of Gravity Falls with it. I’ll figure out a name later. So basically in this AU, Anne falls into the underground and is taken in by Toriel. I’m not gonna add Ford in this AU (unless y’all want me to) and have only Stan fall into the underground. 2 months after Anne falls, Stan and Ford decide to run away from their abusive home. Stan tells Ford he’ll go out and run a place to set up camp and once he does, he’ll come back for him and they’ll escape together. Ford agrees, Stan grabs his backpack, and he’s just running around everywhere trying to find a private and safe area when he sees Mount Ebott. He climbs up and is trying to find some sort of cave to sleep in when he trips on a rock and ends up falling into the underground. Anne was sneaking out of Toriel’s house to meet up with Sans and Papyrus when she hears a loud thud coming from the entrance. She runs over there to find a 10-year old boy lying unconscious. Anne checks his pulse to make sure he’s still alive, and she notices he has a really bad concussion. She knows that Flowey will spawn in any second now if he finds out another human has fallen into the underground. So Anne yanks Stan over her shoulders like a sack of potatoes and runs away. Sans and Papyrus offer to let Stan stay at their house so they can nurse him back to health and the trio promise eachother to not let Toriel know about this. Having one human was already enough to stir up the monsters, the existence of two could potentially get King Asgore involved. So the skeleton brothers take care of Stan while Anne visits everyday to check on him. After 1-2 days, Stan regains consciousness and understandably freaks out. Anne explains the whole situation to him about the monsters and how he fell, and he’s begging her to take her back home. Anne tells him she doesn’t know how to get home, and that he’s basically stuck here forever. Stan is panicking and tries to escape but he collapses before he can even reach the door. Concussion headaches hurt like a bitch. Much against his own will, Stan has to stay in Sans and Papyrus’ house until he’s all better. Stan recovers in a week, and during that week, Anne kept visiting him and educating him on the world of the monsters. From the human and monster war to the existence of souls. Stan started to grow close to Anne although he’d never admit it. Once he’s all better, Papyrus tells him he can’t leave the home because of the dangerous monsters out there and Sans assures him it’s safer in here where the fire is burning and there’s always a pot of spaghetti in the kitchen. So that’s how Anne gains a human little brother and Stan gets a big sister. Although he likes his new home, he never forgets about Ford and promises that once he escapes the underground, he’ll run straight to him.

Presenting... the four Amphibia AUs I have going on while my brain tries to restart the Encanto part of my soul!
(Like seriously, I am not abandoning Housekid- it's just that my brain literally would not produce the Juice for it. So, Amphibia for now, folks! Hold on to your butts, and may Frog help me!)
Tumblr media
A. HEARTY WIT - my very first Amphibia AU! Born out of my intense desire to have a Swap AU where Anne actually reforms the Tower instead of it changing her because duh there's a reason she's Heart AND where Marcy pushes Wartwood to an age of magitech and causing all the youth of the town to be smarter than any other youths in Amphibia because Big Sister Marcy showed us how we can kill you with paper and a leaf and we will not hesitate to do so.
Also, Marcy and Sprig Soulswapping as they grow up is just poggers man. Anne gets two friends for the price of one, Marcy gets a family that actually cares for her, and Sprig gets Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy as parents early on! (Because how could you not notice your daughter's best friend occasionally having hair made of green ethereal clouds or act like a completely different child signaled only by changing eye colors?) It's a win-win!
Sasha, bitch, I'm sorry in advance.
Tumblr media
B. ONE WORD IS ENOUGH FROM A BRIGHT GIRL - my second Amphibia AU! Born from wanting to give Marcy the dad she absolutely deserves- one that could match her brains and understand her in a way no one else ever could.
I mean come on! These two were the best pair of brainiacs before True Colors like Jesus Christ Andrias was one more month away from saying his very first Dad Joke. Also they're both gamers. Also they're both holders/chosens of the Wit Stone. Also they both betrayed their friend groups in some way. I'm already both excited and dreading for the chapter where they confess to each other- Marcy with her Truth and Andrias with the whole Core business -and then plan on how to make up for their shortcomings as well as figure out a way to off a God.
(Marcy would totally make a diss track about the Core and Aldritch and Andrias would have to use the will of Atlas himself to not listen to it 24/7. )
Anne, sweetie, you're about to be Andrias' kid-in-law and you better ready your ass because this man just recently opened up his heart for the first time in a thousand years- you better believe he's got some spoiling to make up for. It'll probably get worse when he finds out you're an honorary Plantar. I can already imagine his booming voice going-
"Oh, come on, Leiflet! Are you really going to settle for that? My Eftlet deserves better! Try this one instead- it's her favorite shade of green!"
"Your Highness please this is the 56th suit you've made me try on I'm dying-"
Tumblr media
C. BLUE-GREEN PARENTING - the AU that went hand-in-hand with OneWord! Born solely to torture Annarcy with their own daughter and literally nothing else.
Like, the most frequent images that come into being in my head in reference to this AU are just Anne and Marcy perpetually red-faced and Lily just cackling in the background.
Also, Anne desperately saving Lily from falling off a flight of stairs, getting eaten by a mantis, and sinking into quicksand because she was distracted by her surroundings and/or writing in her journal is one of the main driving concepts of this AU. Anne's got TWO super smart Idiots now and oh boy is it gonna be a ride.
And I'm not exaggerating. Lily has Anne's face and personality (As well as the Boonchuy curse of always loosing the left shoe and could only be offsetted by wearing mismatched pairs), but she has Marcy's on everything else. Energy, Passion, Intelligence, Stims, the ability to go into the Zone,- she's basically Marcy with Anne's confidence. That's an (unintentional) devilspawn right there- God Bless, Anne!
Also- what? What are you talking about? How's True Colors gonna go? Well... All I can say is that I am totally not lying in saying I'm not gonna traumatize a 5 year old. I frogging swear.
Also Also, Sasha? Sorry not sorry!
Tumblr media
D. PLANTAR BEAST - my final Amphibia AU! For Now! Because we all know how quickly AUs form! Born to literally only have Feral Anne but not to the point of loosing her humanity! She's a frog, but she's also human, so oh boy, better watch out! We've got a predator with the movement of Prey- you can't run, that's for sure!
Also, it always bothered me that we didn't get any episodes about the Plantars teaching Anne how to survive Amphibia. The closest we got was that Bog Vlog where they taught US how they hop, and that's about it. Like seriously- nobody thought to train after the disaster of Toad Tax? They got lucky with Combat Camp teaching Anne how to swordfight for Reunion, but if what if they hadn't? If Hop Pop took them with him? Anne would've lost immediately to Sasha.
And so thus, Plantar Beast. Sprig teaches Anne how frogs fight and move, her powers activate early because she's always in danger- she gets frog parts because she's Heart and her heart says she wants to have those frog parts -as well as causing the side effect of activating dormant human predatory instincts. This simple change, this simple decision to train, causes absolutely massive ripples in the story.
Like for example- Sasha doesn't fall, because Anne has a long ass tongue and the jumping ability of a god. That alone changes all of Season 2, yeah?
Also, no shame, the moment I realized Anne will have her tongue during Reunion, I immediately had her bitchslap Sasha in the Outline. It was absolutely needed.
So anyway, that's all of them! For now! Feel free to ask questions, leave comments- those will definitely help my outlines develop.
Thanks for reading!

Amphibia - Trio Swap/Blessed AU Comic
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Well the name of this AU makes sense, because this AU a blessing to my soul 😊
The Sprig and Anne part is cute, I really like that even though they're swapped Sprig is still the one who gets caught in a trap and is afraid that they'll eat him. Even as a frog Anne still got that badass fighting technique with the tennis racket and Sprig fanboying over her is so funny to me. One thing I noticed is that Sprig painted his fingernails pink, and I really liked that, it's a neat addition to his human version and it visually describes his character, you can probably guess what it is. Also I'm curious to see what Anne's parents look like as frogs.
The Maddie and Marcy part is pretty wholesome, it's cute to see her younger sisters plus how they annoy her (poor Maddie) and it's also cute to see her calling Marcy her younger sister. Also, it's official, Marcy is cursed with the burning clothes thing no matter what version she is. Also also poor Marcy, she got separated from her friends and really wants to see them again and it's nice of Maddie to give her a way to see them, so overall a wholesome bit.
The last part with Ivy was something I wasn't expecting, I thought it would just be a moment of her and Sasha together but boy I was wrong. First off it's interesting that Ivy is the reason why they're in Amphibia despite Maddie's the one taking the role of Marcy, second off her running away from home is of course based on the runaway Ivy episode and it's nice that Sprig and Maddie go along with her even though they had no clue what was actually happening which they would later realize and take hardly (especially Sprig because y'know Reunion and stuff). And lastly f**k you Andriass leave these kids alone would ya! Go shoot yourself so I can make a nice meal for them herons!
So yeah, dark ending despite the final picture being pretty cute and nice
Original Comic by @DORI10961789
Go follow them on Twitter please, this is amazing and they deserve some follows just from this alone!
Hope y'all like it

Here’s another (kinda) original chapter from my Amphibia Au that i wanted to share! It’s set in “The Shut-In!” chapter. (Please don’t let the start of it put you off-) Characters: Jean- the human who was transported to Amphibia Flossie- an albino axolotl who befriended Jean (also main character) Pebbs- Flossie’s mother Warning, it does have horror concepts, just in case anyone don’t like that
“Happy Shut-In!”
“Thank you.” Fall was upon Wartwood. Giant pumpkins the size of houses were decorated around the town, and right now many frogs were walking around Wartwood, going from house to house in costumes. Jean smiles, as she, Anne, Flossie and the Plantars were approaching Mrs. Sundew’s home, each carrying a sack. As the door opened, the older teen watches as all the kids begin to chant. “Stay inside, hide your eyes, give us practical supplies!” “Oh, you’re just in time. I’ve got one last box of nails. And they’re rusty!” Mrs Sundew smiles, pouring the nails into the bags. The kids think her, and head off. Anne readjusts the sack over her shoulder. “Ooh, man, this is a workout! Explain this holiday to me again.”
Sprig deadpans as he turns to her. “It’s not a holiday, Anne.” He states. Flossie jumps onto Jean’s back, and the older teen stumbled to catch herself. “It’s the annual Blue Moon Shut-In, Anne!” The axolotl says, as Polly nods, hopping onto the younger girls shoulder. “We need the supplies to survive through the night.” Anne tilts her head. “Huh. Well, you know, we have a similar thing in my world called Halloween. We say “Trick or treat”, and people give you free candy.” Polly gasps. “Free candy! What’s the catch?” She asks suspiciously. Jean grins. “If they don’t give you any, you get to prank them!” She explains. Polly gasps once more, crying cartoonishly. “That is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard.” She sniffs. “Hey, kids!” The kids look up to see Hop Pop approaching with Bessie. He pulls her reins as he reaches them. “What’d ya’ll get for tonight’s Shut-In? Show me the goods!” Polly pulls out a weapon from her sack. “I got a hatchet!” “I got a first aid kit!” Sprig adds. Anne reaches into her sack, pulling out a large bug of some kind. “I got a flamethrower!” She exclaims. She demonstrates, activating the flamethrower bug. Surprised and jealous, Polly throws her hatchet to the ground with a pout. “Alright then kids, hop on! We’re going home.” Hop Pop declares. Anne and the Plantars hop up on the wagon. As they do, Hop Pop looks down to Jean and Flossie. “Will you girls be alright? Do you need me to give ya’ll a ride?” He asks, concerned. Jean waves him off. “Nah, Pebbs should be here any minute now. You guys just head home.”
Hop Pop sighs. “Okay, then. Be safe out there. And Happy Shut-In!” He calls out as he gets Bessie moving. Flossie waves to him. “Bye Hop Pop! Happy Shut-In!” “Catch ya later, HP!” Now that they were by themselves, Jean carries Flossie around Wartwood on her back. The weight was a little heavier than usual with the added sacks, but the older teen didn’t mind.
Reaching the water fountain, Jean sets Flossie down so they could both sit. “So, what do you do during Shut-In?” The older teen asks. Flossie scours through her sack, checking out what she’d retrieved on her little outing. “Oh! Mum and I lock all the windows and doors, sit around the fire and tell spooky stories!” She explains. Jean nods, smiling. “Okay, I like the sound of spooky stories.” She chuckles. Hearing a toot, the two girls look up to see Pebbs driving her wagon with Boris their slug. The newt waves to the two girls. “Hey, girls! How was your evening?” She asks as the two climb up on the wagon. Flossie sits right next to her mother, giving her a quick hug. “It was great! We got lots of things! Like an axe, some nails, a couple of bandages…”
Flossie continues listing off random items as Pebbs gets Boris moving. Jean leans back in her seat, looking out at the frogs boarding up their homes and the giant pumpkins currently being carved. She found it strange how they look very similar to the ones back on Earth. Maybe Earths Halloween and Amphibia’s Shut-In are somehow connected. Jean chuckles. That’s silly. There’s no WAY that they’re connected. Just another weird coincidence. ——
Arriving home, Pebbs and Flossie head quickly inside. Jean looks up at the barricaded house. “Whoa, they’re taking this VERY seriously.” As they sit inside, waiting for it to get dark, Jean clears her throat. “So….what exactly happens if you go outside?” She questions. Pebbs, who’d sat down in her chair with a book and her cane beside her, turned to face the older teen. “Short answer: If you look at the blue moon, you turn into a terrifying beast.” She explains. Jean chuckles. “How do you know this? What if it’s an urban legend or something?” She asks, skeptical. Pebbs doesn’t laugh though, as she stares deep into Jean’s soul. “Why don’t you fuck around and find out for us.” Jean stares at her as the newt returns to her reading. Flossie’s thudding footsteps running down the stairs startles the older teen, and she looks up to see the axolotl holding a book as she jumps down the last step, holding it above her head. “Scary story time! I’ve been waiting all YEAR to share the stories I wrote to scare you mum! I’m gonna get you good this year!” She boasts. Pebbs chuckles, placing her own book down. “Alright then. Would you like to go first then?” She asks. Flossie nods excitedly, sitting down in front of the fire next to Jean. The older teen tilts her head. “What’s this about scaring Pebbs?” “Ooh! Mum and I do a competition every year on the night of the Shut-In!” She explains. “Who ever tells the scariest story wins. And every year mum wins. She always has the scariest stories. They’re so terrifying, I have nightmares about them for weeks!” “What makes them so terrifying?” Jean asks. Flossie turns to her. “I never know which one’s are real and which one’s aren’t.” Jean grins. “Aight. Mind if I join?” She asks. Pebbs shrugs. “I don’t see why not.” She answers. Flossie squeals. “This is gonna be the best scary story competition EVER!”
Standing up, Flossie clears her throat, opening her book. “Tonight, I’m gonna be telling the story of…The Skinwalker!” She says in a spooky voice. Lightning crackled outside at the perfect time, illuminating her pale face. Jean looks around. “Where did the lightning come from?” “Don’t question it!” — “There once was a frog named Willow. She lived with her father, a lonely wood cutter, in the middle of the woods.” A small, green frog hops down the pathway of her house, passing by her father who was busy cutting wood. She carried an empty basket.
“I’m going out to look for berries, papa!” Willow calls out. The lime-green frog waves her off with a smile. “Be safe out there! There’s been talk of a strange creature that’s been spotted.” He informs her, raising the axe above his head and bringing it down on the stump of wood. Willow smiles reassuringly, clutching her basket close. “I will!” With that, she was off, hopping through the forest as she approaches her favourite spot to pick berries.
Reaching the clearing, she sets to work, hopping from bush to bush to collect as many berries as she could. That’s when she heard it. A low, guttural groan coming from somewhere in the woods nearby. Willow tilts her head, listening. It came again, and Willow puts her basket down. “That’s weird, what could that be?” She wonders. Maybe it was an animal in distress? She heads towards the sound, determined to help whatever creature was injured. The sound was coming from just behind the tree now. Peeking around the tree, she sees a strange, skinny, grey-skinned creature. Its back was to her, hunched over something. The groan sounded out again, and Willow realised that it was coming from this creature. Willow tilts her head. “H-hello?” She asks. The creature turns to her, wide, black eyes staring deep into her soul. It opens it jaw wide, unlike any animal the young frog had ever seen. In its clawed hands was a bloody piece of flesh, the stench of dead animal filling the air around them. It let out an awful, otherworldly scream, frightening Willow as she screamed too. The frog stumbles back, running in the other direction back home. She didn’t even stop to pick up her basket, wanting to put as much distance as she could between herself and the terrifying creature.
She just ran. As the frog ran, she thought she could hear something chasing after her, but after taking a quick look over her shoulder, she couldn’t see anything. But she still couldn’t shake the feeling of something watching her as she stumbled on, weak and defenceless like a caterpillar kitten.
The trees around her felt like they were trying to grab her, their branches clawing at her from all directions, tearing her dress and pulling her hair as she rushes by. Finally. FINALLY. She made it home. It had gotten dark out now, making everything 100 times more terrifying. As she ran up the familiar pathway, she realised her father was no where in sight. That must mean that he was inside, then. Yanking the door open Willow bolts inside, snapping the locks into place. It was only then that she let herself calm down. Her legs were shaky from the scare and the running, and she felt so, so tired. Maybe she should just go straight to bed tonight…yeah, yeah that’s what she’ll do. She can tell her papa about the creature tomorrow. Double checking to make sure the door WAS locked, she heads upstairs to bed, switching off the lights as she went.
Reaching her room, she flops onto her bed, worn out. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light. She didn’t even hear the tapping at her window. - Willow wakes up to a loud clutter of pots falling to the ground, followed by a loud scream coming from the kitchen downstairs. She jolts up in bed, listening to her father screaming for a few seconds. Her fathers screams die down, and a loud thud sounds out. Getting up from her bed, Willow waddles over to her door. “Papa? Are you okay?” She asks, voice full of fear. There was silence for several seconds. “Come here.” Her father’s voice calls out faintly. Letting out a sigh of relief, Willow heads down to the kitchen, the floorboards creaking as she walks.
Rounding the corner, she spots her father standing in the kitchen, his back to her. “Papa? What happened?” She asks. He doesn’t reply to her question. Instead, her repeated the phrase “Come here.” In a monotone, almost robotic voice. As she stepped closer, Willow notices something. In front of her father, lay a body. It was a lime green frog, and was wearing her fathers clothes. It lay in a pool of its own blood, which was quickly spreading, covering the floor. It was her papa. Frightened, Willow looks up at the imposter that looked identical to her father. “W-who are you?” She asks in a shaky voice. The copy turns to her, its eyes pitch black and its jaw unhinged. It let out a guttural, otherworldly scream, and Willow screams back, running from the room. As she ran, she could hear it chasing after her. Glancing over her shoulder briefly, she saw the way it crawled after her. It moved in a bizarre, horrifying way. Its movements were jerky and unnatural, as it chased after her. Its ghoulish face screamed at her again.
She ran for the front door. Reaching it, she tried to open it. Yanking on the handle, she started panicking. It was locked. Willow screams and cries, yanking harder on the handle and fumbling with the lock, watching in horror as the creature came closer and closer, its pitch black eyes on her papa’s face the only thing she could see. She finally managed to open the door, stumbling out and shutting it behind her. The creature ran head-first into the wooden door, shrieking and screeching at her as she bolted into the wood. It smashed right through the door, the splintering of the wood urging Willow to run faster.
Once she was far enough out of view, Willow climbs up a tree, panting heavily as she clambers into the foliage, hiding herself in the leaves.
She holds her breath, hearing the approaching creature. It’s rapid, unnatural breathing was all she could hear from the darkness. She covers her mouth to muffle any whimpers, squeezing her eyes shut, and praying it will go away. A few seconds of the creatures unnatural filling the silence passes. Then, the rustling of the creature fades into the distance, disappearing into the night. Willow listens closely. But she was surrounded by silence. Letting out a sigh of relief, she climbs down the tree, leaning against its trunk to take a moment. She was safe for now. Now she needed to get to the nearest town and return with others to retrieve her father’s body. With a heavy heart at that realisation, she let out a quiet sob. No, she couldn’t do that here. She had to get out of here first. Turning to leave, she froze in terror. The creature was standing right in front of her, its maw open wide. It let out a shriek, as it lunged toward the defenceless frog.
—— “Neither of them were ever seen again….the end!” Flossie finishes, sitting back down with a proud smile on her face as she closes her book. Jean and Pebbs clap for the small axolotl. “Whoa! That was amazing! I got goosebumps!” Jean admits, rubbing her arms. “I got some serious competition.” Pebbs nods, agreeing to her statement. “That definitely had me on the edge of my seat.” Pebbs adds. Flossie grins, pumping her fist. “Yes!” “So, who’s going next?” Pebbs asks. She looks over to Jean expectantly, who in turn shrugs her shoulders. “Alright, if you insist.” She chuckles. Flossie scoots closer, ears perked. “This is a story I like to call, Mother Mary.” — A woman kneels in front of a statue of Mother Mary. Her hands are clasped together in prayer, eyes downcast. Her blue robes seemed to flow, even though they were etched in stone, while her foot was stomped on the head of a snake. Fresh flowers of all kinds sat around her, an offering of respect for the Holy Mother of God.
The woman kneeling in front of her clasps a pair of rosary beads, in deep prayer. She has her eyes closed, mumbling under her breathe fearfully. “Oh holy Mary, please give me strength and save me from this evil….” She whispers. That’s when it begins. Something is thrown across the room, whizzing pass the woman’s head and crashing against the wall. The woman flinches, but keeps praying. Never moving from her place. It only got worse from there. With each passing second, more things were thrown around the room. The woman begins weeping, rushing and stumbling over her words as portraits and plates smashed and broke, leaving a mess of shattered glass on the floor. Cupboards and doors banged open and closed repeatedly, and the sounds of running footsteps ran through the hallways. The woman cowers, falling face first to the ground. “Holy Mary Mother of God, please spare me from this evil.” She sobs. She can hear something approaching. The clacking sound of hooves walks up behind her. She doesn’t dare move, as heavy breathing falls on the back of her neck, making her shiver. Everything comes to a stop. The house is filled with a deafening silence, and the woman slowly gets up, looking around.
The plates she heard smashed were no where to be seen, and everything was in it’s place. No objects were lying on the floor, not even the one that had flown by her head mere minutes ago. The woman lets out a sigh of relief, turning back to the statue of Mary with a smile. Her smile falls, and her eyes widen in horror. The fresh flowers the woman had picked that morning were wilted and dead, their colours turn to ash. The once blue robes of the statue had turned blood red, and the snake under her foot was gone. As the woman eyes trailed up the statue, her breathing hitched at the terrifying sight. The hands that were once clasped in a prayer, were now wrapped around the statues neck. Blood dribbled from the mouth, nose and eyes of the statue. The eyes. The eyes that were downcast and kind, had now turned to glare at the woman, eyes red and demonic as she grinned evilly down at her. “God can’t save you now.” She hisses, giggling maniacally.
Before the woman could scream, something invisible grabs her throat, lifting her up from the ground. She claws at whatever held her in place, gasping for air. In the blink of an eye, a demonic, red man appears, clutching at her throat with sharp fingernails. Curved horns grew from his skull, and shaggy, goat fur covered his arms and legs. He grins a crooked, sharp grin, squeezing her throat harder. The woman lets out a strangled scream, but it was hard for her to use her voice. The red man opens his mouth, and out crawls a large snake, climbing up his arms slowly as it approached the woman. It hovers in front of her for a moment, watching the life leaving the woman’s eyes. Her arms became limp, and she stares into the distance, mouth hanging open from a silent scream. Her breathing became shallow, her pulse barely noticeable. The snake lunges, plunging its fangs into the woman’s eyes. — Flossie and Pebbs look at each, confused. “How large is a snake in your world? How can it crawl out of the mans mouth?” Flossie asks. Pebbs nods. “Yes, and who is this “Mother Mary” you speak of?” She added. Jean groans. “Dang it, I got to Amphibia-fy it.” “Amphibi-what?” “Never mind.” Jean waves off their questions, turning to Pebbs. “Now, it’s your turn, Pebbs. What’s your scary story?” Flossie gasps, shaking her mother’s arm. “Yes! Yes! Tell us your scary story, mum!” She begs. Pebbs smiles, pretending to give in to her child’s cries. “Alright, alright. I guess I do have one or two up my sleeve.” She chuckles. As Pebbs starts her story, the two youngsters scoot closer. The newt rests her chin on her palms, as she looks down at the children. The fire crackles as it’s light falls on her face, casting her in an eerie glow. “Now, the story I’m about to tell you two, no one else knows the truth of. This is the story of: Puddle’s Doll.”
— Two amphibians, a frog and a newt, run together down to the lake, each carrying a large sack. Two best friends, who spent their every day by the shore-side of the lake, each carrying a sack to search for and collect treasures.
It was surprising how much junk showed up on the lake’s shores. Pebbs turns to frog friend. “Hey, Puddle! Race you to the lake!” She taunts. Puddle chuckles, hopping ahead of the newt child. “Oh, it is ON!” “Hey! No fair!”
The two giggle as they rush to the lake, diving head first into its waters. They splash around for a bit, then got out to look for treasures.
Puddle carries his sack a distance away from Pebbs, picking up a few shells, a chipped sun-dial, and a soaked book.
Waddling along, he comes across an object he’d never seen before. He picks it up.
It looked like some kind of glass doll, a frog dressed in a frilly dress, and a mass of hair on her head. One eye was missing, and the other stares up at Puddle. Without taking his eyes off of it, he calls out to Pebbs. “Hey Pebbs, take a look at this!” Pebbs comes over, spotting the doll in Puddle’s hands. “Mother of Olms, what is that?” She asks curiously. She reaches out to grab it and take a closer look, but Puddle snatches it away. “Hey! Finders keepers!” Pebbs holds up her hands in surrender. “I was just going to have a look, frog’s sake. You can keep that thing. I definitely don’t want it.” She scoffs, looking down at it. Puddle follows her gaze, turning it around in his hands. “I do have to say, it is freaky looking.” He admits. A wide grin crosses his features as he shoves it into his sack. “I’m gonna scare my sisters with it.” He chuckles darkly. Pebbs giggles, and the two resume their treasure hunting.
Neither of them had seen a tall, lanky, shadowy figure watching from the bushes nearby. They grin, fangs bared before disappearing into the thicket.
-
A few days had passed since Pebbs and Puddle found the doll. But every time the two hung out, Pebbs would notice the bags under Puddle’s eyes, how jumpy he’d get whenever someone so much as touched.
And the way he’d snap out at any one for minor things. This was so unlike Puddle, and Pebbs was getting worried.
One day, they were out by the lake again. They were just chatting, when Pebbs had just gently brushed against Puddle’s arm. It set him off, and he turns to her with wide, terrified eyes. “Don’t touch me!” He hisses. Pebbs reels back, shocked. “I barely touched you!” She shoots back. Puddle takes in heavy breaths, looking around for something. He looked terrified.
The newt takes a step in front of her friend, making sure she was in his view. “Puddle, are you okay? Did something happen?” She asks worriedly.
His expression, which was contorted into rage moments before, melted away into one of shock and regret. He looks around, shoulders hunched. “I-I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me.” He replies quietly, sitting down on the ground.
Pebbs sits down with him. “Is everything okay, Puddle?” Puddle looks out at the lake. “I-I….if I tell you, do you promise not to call me crazy?” He asks in a hushed whisper. Pebbs smiles, placing her hand on her heart. “I swear upon King Andrias Leviathon. Now, what’s wrong?” She asks. Puddle draws his knees to his chest, swallowing nervously. “Do you…remember that weird doll we found?” Pebbs nods, urging him to continue. Puddle rubs his arm. “W-well, I think…I think there’s something seriously wrong with it.” He admits. Pebbs tilts her head. “How so?” “It moves.” Pebbs squints at the frog, more confused than ever. “It…what?” “It moves.” Puddle repeats. “By itself. When it first did it, I thought it was my sisters. But they had no way of knowing I had the doll.” He explains. Pebbs stares at him. “I don’t think I quite understand-“ “A-and each night, it gets worse. I-I hear tapping on my window, and little footsteps running around my room. I woke up this morning with it sitting right next to my head, even though I threw it into the cupboard last night.” His voice starts quivering, and he begins to cry. “I-I don’t know what to do. I’ve locked it up, I’ve tried throwing it away, but it keeps coming back. “And tonight, my folks and little sisters are leaving the house and staying somewhere overnight. I’m not allowed to go because I’m grounded!” He starts shaking as he’s crying, and he cuddles up into his newt friend. “I-I’m scared, Pebbs. I’m not allowed to leave the house.” Pebbs gently rubs his back, deep in thought. Finally, she stands up with a grin. “Hey, it’ll be fine! I’ll just stay the night at yours! I’m sure your parents won’t mind: It’s me!” She laughs, gesturing to herself. “I’ll figure out your problem, and by tomorrow morning, you’re problem will be fixed! You have my word.” She explains. Holding onto Puddle’s hands, she helps him to his feet. “Ol’ Pebbs ain’t scared of no doll.” Puddle seems unsure, but nods his head, relaxing at the thought of having his best friend staying the night. None of them knew what they were getting themselves into.
-
Pebbs arrives at the doorstep of Puddle’s house, carrying a bag with all her belongings and her favourite cane. Knocking on the door, she waited, taking note that the family wagon was no where to be seen. Puddle’s family must’ve left already. The door opens, revealing a relieved Puddle. He lets the newt in. “Thank you so much for staying with me tonight, Pebbs.” He says. Pebbs grins, waving him off. “It’s no problem! Anything for a friend.” She winks, elbowing him. Puddle guides her to his room, where the doll sat on the bed. Puddle shivers, staring at the doll fearfully. “I didn’t put that there…” he whispers. Pebbs bends down to take a closer look at the doll. It sat stock still, frozen. Like it hadn’t moved at all. The young newt hums, removing her bag from her shoulder and placing it on the ground next to her cane, rummaging through it. Puddle tilts his head. “What are you doing? What did you bring?” He asks. Pebbs finally pulls out a jar of powder. “You said it moves, right? If we put flour all over the floor, we’ll see if it really is moving by itself, or if something else is doing it. There’s got to be an explanation for this.” She informs. Puddle nods his head, finally understanding. “That’s smart.” With Puddle’s permission, the newt covers the frogs room and the hallway floor in flour. By the time they were done spreading out the flour and were careful not to step in it on the way to the room, it was dark outside. So, the two children light up the house with glowing mushrooms, lighting the fireplace to keep the house warm. Sitting down on the floor of Puddle’s room, the doll between them, Pebbs brings out a book with a maroon cover, a golden, 6 fingered webbed hand on the cover. She opens it to a bookmarked page. “Okay. So according to this book by Professor Pond, what you might be experiencing is something called “paranormal activity”. To put it short for you: something to do with angry deceased spirits.” Pebbs explains. “This one is called “doll haunting”, and after some researching on it, I think I’ve figured out what to do!” She claims. Pulling out another piece of paper with “yes” and “no” written on it. She balances two pencils on it. “What we do, is we ask it questions that it can answer in “yes” or “no”. To answer it simply pushes the pencil in the direction of its answer,” Puddle looks down at the confusing stuff in front of him. “Whoa, this is a lot.” He comments. “How’d you find the book?” “Sorry, you may be may best friend, but I can’t tell you that.” The newt explains mysterious, putting it in front of her face to hide a smirk. She did so to lighten the mood, and thankfully it worked, since Puddle giggles. “Fine then. Keep your secrets. But you better tell me when all this is over.” “Maybe I will, maybe I won’t.” The two giggle, returning to their activity. Clearing her throat, Pebbs looks around the darkened room. “Okay, first question: Is there anything with us tonight?” She asks aloud. There’s silence for a while, as the two amphibians look around at there surroundings. Something moving catches Puddle’s attention, and he gasps. “P-Pebbs. Look.” He whispers, pointing at the piece of paper and pencil. The pencil was now pointing at “yes”. He looks up at her. “P-please tell me that w-was you.” He asks. Pebbs shakes her head, and Puddle whimpers. “Uh, question two: are you connected to the doll?” Again, there was no answer. The paper doesn’t move for a while. The newt decides to watch the doll, seeing if it would move like Puddle’s said. It was facing away from her, it’s one eye staring at the walk-in cupboard. Pebbs squints, leaning closer to the doll. That’s when it’s glass eye moved to stare at her, startling her. She screams, reeling back and scooting away. Puddle copies her, frightened. “What?! What happened?!” He yells. Pebbs stares at the doll, panting. “It’s eye moved! “ Something gets thrown across the room, scaring the two kids and they both scream once more. They both look in the direction of the sound, seeing that one of Puddle’s figures had been flung to the other side of the room. Puddle turns to his friend. “I-I wanna go. Let’s l-leave.” He begged. Pebbs shook her head. “N-no! Please, let’s just stay a little longer. I want to finish this investigation!” She insists. Puddle looks at the doll fearfully, doubtful and unsure. Pebbs crawls back to the doll, picking up her book. “One more question, then we can go. Okay?” She offers, holding out her hand. Not wanting to leave the house by himself, Puddle gives in, sitting down with the newt and holding her hand tightly. Pebbs picks up her book in one hand, clearing her throat. “Last question….are you…are you here to hurt us?” The two fixate their gaze onto the pencil on the paper. It moves slightly, before it starts spinning. It spins around and around, looking like it wasn’t intending to stop to answer. Pebbs and Puddle share a scared look. That wasn’t a good sign. Finally, it lands on its answer: yes.
At that, Puddle’s stands up, shaking his head. “No, no, no, no. We’re leaving. Right now.” He informs. Pebbs nods, gathering her stuff and harshly stuffing it into her bag. “Agreed.” They hurriedly got to their feet, Pebbs holding her half-open bag as objects spill out of it, accidentally leaving her cane behind.
As the two amphibians got up to go, already halfway out the door, they hear a giggle. A little girls giggle, that echoed around the room, making a shiver crawl up their spines. Pebbs and Puddle turn around to stare at the doll. The doll that was once sitting on the floor, was now standing all by itself. Pebbs was fascinated. She cautiously approaches the doll, as Puddle shakes his head, begging her to leave. But the newt ignores him. Standing right beside the doll, she moves her hand above it, making sure that there were no strings connected. Her hand was met with thin air. She was in disbelief. “This is…” The bed is lifted off the ground by an invisible force, thrown in Pebbs direction. The newt screams, jumping out of the way and dropping her bag. She gasps for air as Puddle pulls her to her feet. “LET’S GO! LET’S GO! LET’S GO!” The two children scramble out of the room, their footfalls and heavy breaths filling the deafening silence. Pebbs stops, turning back to the room. Puddle halts in his running when he realised the newt wasn’t following. “Pebbs! What are you doing?! We have to get out of here!” He hisses. Pebbs shakes her head. “M-my stuff- my book! I can’t leave it- my book can help you get rid of this ghost!” She exclaims. Puddle jumps on the spot, thinking of a solution. The newt obviously wasn’t going to leave without her stupid book. He groans, grabbing her arm and leading her to the kitchen. “Come on!” He hisses, moving as quietly as he could. They reach the kitchen, and Puddle grabs a knife. “Okay, h-here’s the plan. I’ll go get the book, while you stay here.” He orders. Pebbs shakes her head furiously. “No way! I’m not gonna make you stay here OR get my book. You can wait outside the house, and I’LL go get my book.” She claims. Puddle scowls. “No, I’m not leaving you in here with that thing!” “And I’m not going to make you get my book!” As they argued, a loud creak startles them. They turn to the doorway to see….the doll. The doll stood there, staring at them with its one eye. Its arm was raised toward them, reaching for them. The light in the hallway behind her flickered on and off, making everything even more terrifying for the two kids.
The kids stare, frozen. Pebbs finally takes in a shaky breath. “I-I’ll go get my book. You stay here, and tell me if it moves. When I get back, we’ll leave and come up with a plan.” She whispers. Puddle nods, staring quietly at the doll. Moving around the doll slowly, Pebbs holds her breath. But it doesn’t move. It keeps staring right at Puddle. She makes a run for it, bolting into Puddle’s room to grab her book. As she enters the room, she noticed it had become a mess while they were gone. Cupboards were open, with clothes and other objects covering the floor. Her book wasn’t anywhere in sight.
She begins searching, throwing stuff out of her way as she looked frantically for the book. “Come on, come on! It was just here! Where could it-" “Pebbs!” Puddle’s voice screams out from the kitchen. “Hurry up! Please!” “I’m trying!” Pebbs scuffled around, heart-rate rising in a panic. Her book was missing, the only thing that could help them get rid of this thing, it was missing. “PEBBS! IT MOVED! I ONLY BLINKED AND IT MOVED!” Puddle’s high-pitched voice screams. Pebbs stomach sunk. “Get out! I’ll meet you outside!” She urged. Puddle’s angry, and terrified reply came back. “I’m not leaving you! I-I just won’t blink! Just please, hurry!” He urged. Pebbs threw stuff against the wall. “Come on! Where- FOUND OUT!” She laughs out, relieved, as she picks it up. “I’m coming Puddle!” There was no reply as Pebbs ran out the room, book clasped tightly in her hands. “I got it! Let’s go!” Reaching the kitchen, Pebbs wide, delighted grin fell. Puddle wasn’t there, and neither was the doll. The newt gulps. Maybe he went outside? Like she told him to? Running out the door, she looks around. But her little frog friend was no where in sight. “Puddle! Where are you?!" No response. Pebbs felt like throwing up, as she clutches her book tightly. “Puddle, this isn’t funny! Please, come out! We can leave now!” Still, Puddle did not come out. Pebbs begins tearing up, turning in circles. The woods around her whispered, voices unrecognisable. Shadowy figures loomed in the corner of her eyes, but were never there when she turned to look. Freaking out, Pebbs looks back at the house. What she saw, made her blood run cold. There, in the window of Puddle’s room, was a tall, lanky figure. It waves at her, its features invisible. At that, Pebbs ran. Her instincts told her to run, and so she did. Any thought left her mind except for one: Run and look for help. The only thing grounding her as she ran back to Wartwood, was the heavy book in her arms, reminding her of what she’d done. ——
“When the adults returned to the house the next morning, they found nothing out of the ordinary. Puddle’s room was neat and tidy, just like they’d left it. There was no one inside the house waiting for them. The only one missing, was Puddle.”
The kids stare up at Pebbs, pale faced as they listened to her story. Pebbs held her cane tightly, as she stares down at the children, expression unreadable.
“Puddle’s body was found by the lake a few days later, his limbs torn off and placed in a circle.” Flossie gulps, holding onto Jean tightly. Jean pats her head, clearly frightened by the story as well. Pebbs smirks at their reactions. “Some say in the dead of night, if you go down by the lake, you can hear Puddle’s lost spirit crying, begging for help." Flossie shivers, and Jean looks around, clearing her throat. “What-uh-happened to the doll?” She asks quietly. Pebbs leans back into her chair. “No one knows. But I suspect it’s searching for its next victim, tapping at the windows of unsuspecting children, waiting to see which one will let them in. ”
They sit in silence for a few seconds, the only sound coming from the crackling of the fire. The older teen claps her hands together.
“So, who’s the winner tonight?” she asks. Flossie points to her mother. “Mum again.” She says, defeatedly. Pebbs shrugs. “I don’t know, you told a pretty scary story tonight.” She points out. “Well, someone has to be the winner. Unless we’re calling it a draw?” “No draws! Draws are for the weak!” Flossie exclaims. Pebbs turns to the readers. “Who do you think won the competition?” Jean follows her gaze, seeing nothing. “What are you looking at?” As they chatted, a small sound disturbs them. A tapping at the window nearest to them. Pebbs turns to the children, expression dark. “Don’t open that.” “Don’t have to ask me twice!”
“Ain’t no way in hell I’m opening it after that.”

Sleep Time
tbh I kinda gave up on Tickltober lmao
this fic has @shy-anon-writes sona Caroline Hill, go check her out she's awesome
this fic takes place after amphibia and she babysits the girls
lets get to it
The girls are watching a movie while sprawled out on the couch, it was nice that they could just relax after working so hard in school. Their babysitter Caroline was taking care of them and Sasha was getting watched very closely, Caroline knew that girl was trouble and was not taking any chance of her adopted sisters Marcy and Anne getting into too much deep shit as that Sasha would always drag her friends into.
Sasha: oi stop watching me
Caroline: what are you talking about
Sasha: you keep on giving a stink eye
Caroline: chill out strawberry girl
Sasha: WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME
Anne: pfft, I mean she's not wrong lol
Marcy: you do look like the angriest strawberry when you use your calamity powers
Anne and Caroline: ANGRIEST STRAWBERRY *WHEEEEEZE*
Sasha: fuck off all of you
Caroline: all right chill out strawberry lemonade, its about your bed time anyways, off you go
Sasha: no
Caroline: excuse me
Sasha: you fucking heard me I said no and plus we are enjoying our selves so screw off goldilocks
Anne and Marcy: *WHEEEZE*
Anne: you know I don't really wanna got to bed either
Marcy: not really *yawn* tired either
Caroline: betrayed by my own, then I'll have no choice
Anne and Marcy as knew what was going to happen due to Caroline's facial expression and ditched Sasha and ran to hide
Sasha: WTF where you guys running too- hey goldie lemme go
Caroline began attacking the blonde's ribs and she let out a loud squeal that Anne and Marcy could hear from downstairs
Sasha: fahahawk Ohohff
Caroline ignored the youngers pleas and carried Sasha in her right arm to look for the other too while continuing her attack on Sasha
Anne and Marcy were hiding in a closet and it was kinda a tight fit, even though they were dating Marcy couldn't stop a bluzh creeping on her face due to Anne being too close.
Anne: what's wrong Mar-Mar, am I too close
Marcy: I um
Anne: frog in your throat, lemme help you
Anne began kissing her girlfriend's cheek as Marcy let out a couple of giggles
Marcy: Anne stop, we are gonna get caught
Anne completely lovestruck: does it matter
Caroline out off nowhere: yes it does
Anne and Marcy tried to make a run for it but got caught
Caroline carries all three girls back to the living room
Caroline sits on Sasha and Anne's legs and held Marcy in her lap, she began blowing raspberries on Marcy's torso while digging into Anne and Sasha's stomachs.
Anne is confused on how much stronger Caroline had gotten since they had their first training because normally Anne could just push away at the young adult's arms
Marcy: stahahap merehehecy
Caroline: gee lemme think, no
Anne: whahahay
Caroline: I told you guys to bed and since you won't I'll just have to tire you out
Anne: thihis isnt rihihit
Caroline: what isn't right
Caroline stopped for a bit to hear Anne out
Anne: when did you get this strong
Caroline only smirked at the younger child below her
Caroline: I worked out more I guess
Marcy: lies
Sasha: pfft roast
Caroline: you guys wound my soul
Caroline continued her attack
Sasha: lehehet gohohoho
Caroline ignored the the pleas for mercy and ruthlessly continued the attack tenfold
eventually Caroline released them
Caroline: so what did we learn from-
Caroline saw the three girls slowly drift to sleep
Caroline: looks like I tired them out I wonder if I went too far on them but at least they'll sleep now
Caroline carried the girls off to bed and when she tried to put Anne in her own bed Marcy clung to her like glue and it made the young adult's heart melt so she let them be in the same bed as the sleepily cuddled up to one another
Caroline: hey Sasha if you are still awake, I 'll keep your secret safe
Sasha: the fuck does that mean
Caroline: you are the strongest out of all of us and I also noticed you seemed sad this week so it was obvious you let me get you
Sasha: bullshit
Caroline: quiet down Anne and Marcy are sleeping, if you ever need comfort, you can always come to me
Sasha mumbled a quiet thank you and Caroline only widened her eyes in shock
Sasha: don't think we aren't gonna get you back
Caroline: yeah yeah strawberry now get to bed
Caroline: good night
Sasha: Good night
Caroline was happy that she has gained a new sister although she might be too much of a handful

Knock-knock-knock!
“It’s open.”
Marcy didn’t even glance up as her bedroom door was opened, her eyes fixed on the study papers in front of her. She was trying to memorize each and every one of them, but the task was proving to be much harder than she hoped.
“Hey Mar-Mar.” Caroline’s voice spoke behind her, and soon enough, the teen was leaning over her shoulder. “Notice anything- wait, what’s all this?” Caroline looked over the papers scattered on Marcy’s desk, picking up one of them and reading it over. This prompted Marcy to look up, which is when she noticed the teen’s hair was no longer long and plain brown, but shaved in an undercut with bright purple bangs.
“Quadratic formula-?” Caroline’s eyes were wide in disbelief. “Marcy, why are you studying high school level math? You’re eleven.” The question brought Marcy back to reality, going from looking at Caroline’s new hair to staring sheepishly at her knees.
“I…wanted to get ahead.” She lied. Caroline didn’t buy it for a second, setting the paper back down on the desk and leaning on it with one arm.
“Wanna try and tell me the truth this time?” She asked, her tone slightly firmer than before. Marcy couldn’t even bring herself to look up, guilt swirling like a storm in her stomach.
“I…my parents are mad.” She admitted at last. “I got a bad grade, so they told me if I didn’t focus on studying, I wouldn’t get to see my friends anymore.” Caroline’s expression softened immediately, a gleam of confusion appearing in her eyes.
“Wait, you got a bad grade?” She echoed. “What was it? Can I see?” Marcy’s eyes held nothing but shame as she grabbed one of the many papers on her desk, holding it out for the teen to take. Caroline gently took the paper from her hand, looking down and reading over what had been printed on it.
“…This is a ninety six.” She said at last. “Marcy, this is four points away from a perfect score, and your parents are saying it’s bad?” Marcy nodded slowly, still unable to meet her older sister’s gaze. Caroline let out a sigh, kneeling down next to her younger sister and putting a hand on her shoulder.
“Marbles, I have to be real with you.” She said. “Your parents…are completely nuts.” Marcy snapped up at the statement, looking over at Caroline with wide eyes.
“What? No!” She argued. “T-They just want to make sure I succeed. They might be a little harsh sometimes, but-” she stopped mid-sentence as she had turned back to her notes, only for Caroline to swipe her arm over the desk and knock all the papers to the floor.
“Nope, no more studying for you.” She said sternly. “You’re taking on way more than any eleven-year-old ever should. You need a break.” Before Marcy could even speak, hands hooked under her arms and hoisted her out of the chair, earning a squeak of surprise. She squirmed in the teen’s grip, letting out small giggles from where she was being held.
“Carolihine, put me down!” She whined, kicking her feet as she was pulled into Caroline’s lap. The teen had taken a seat on Marcy’s bed, crossing her legs and keeping a firm yet gentle hold on her little sister.
“Uh oh, Mar-Mar.” Caroline said, a mischievous smirk spreading across her face. “You’re too stressed out; you know what happens when you’re too stressed?” Marcy soon felt her sister’s hands resting on her sides, eliciting a squeak and more giggling from the young girl.
“Nohohoho!” Her voice shot up in pitch as she felt fingers squeeze her sides, turning the small giggling fit into full-out laughter. “Carolihihine!”
“Caroline? Who’s Caroline?” The teen feigned ignorance. “I’m the tickle monster! And I’m here to tickle all that stress away!” Marcy’s cheeks turned pink at the word, her legs kicking out uselessly as Caroline tickled up and down her sides. She gently dragged her nails over the girl’s torso, drumming them against her stomach and earning squealy laughs in response.
“No fahahair!” Marcy barely managed to speak, curling up in attempts to protect her ticklish tum from her sister’s attack. Caroline wasn’t deterred though, instead sneaking her hands back and working them up to her little sister’s ribs.
“Aww, look at how cute you are!” Caroline cooed, playing Marcy’s ribs like a piano. “The tickle monster approves!” Marcy’s face went red at her older sister’s teasing, hiding her face in her hands to try and cover up the embarrassment.
“I’m nohohohott!” She squealed, shaking her head frantically. Caroline couldn’t help but chuckle at the reaction, continuing to spider over her rib cage until she snuck one hand under Marcy’s arm.
The screech that escaped the small girl practically shook the room. If Caroline didn’t have her hands stuck, she would’ve covered her ears, but it was too late for that. So instead, she kept up her ticklish assault, managing to get both hands under Marcy’s arms and earning frantic, squealing laughter in response.
“C-CUT IT OHOHOUT!” Marcy howled, no longer hiding her face as she tossed her head back. Tears had started to form at the corners of her eyes, and as Caroline heard some of her laughter turn to wheezes, she slowly let up so Marcy could breathe.
“So…how do you feel?” She asked, a small smile on her face as if she hadn’t just tickled her sister half to death. Marcy leaned back against Caroline’s chest, slowly catching her breath as she glared up at the teen.
“I will…get you…someday.” She panted. Caroline chuckled, ruffling her hair softly.
“Sure, kiddo.” She replied. “But I was asking about your stress. Is it gone?” Marcy paused at the question, taking a moment and realizing that she did actually feel better. Whether it was because of the distraction or spending time with her big sister she didn’t know, but she felt better nonetheless.
“Yeah, I actually do feel a lot better.” She said. “Thanks, sis.” Caroline grinned, giving Marcy a hug in response.
“I’m happy to help, Marcy.” She told her. “And I’ll be sure to talk to your parents about this, okay?” Marcy nodded into Caroline’s shoulder as she returned the hug, a soft smile still on her face. As long as she had Caroline’s support, she knew things would be okay.
“Oh, nice hair, by the way.” Marcy piped up, pulling back. Caroline chuckled, fluffing her own hair momentarily.
“Oh yeah, I thought I could use a new look.” She replied. “After all, I’m eighteen; I’m an adult now.” Marcy gave her a lopsided smile.
“It definitely makes you look like…you.” She said. Caroline raised an eyebrow, picking up on the subtext easily.
“Says the girl with a crush on her best friend.” She countered. Marcy’s face went pink.
“I do not have a crush on Anne!” She argued. Caroline’s smirk only grew.
“I never named Anne.” She told her. Marcy fell silent.
“I- well-” she tried, but her words died in her throat. Caroline looked back up at her with the same mischievous glint, making Marcy’s blush worsen.
“You know,” the teen mused, “the tickle monster doesn’t like people denying their feelings, either.” Before Marcy could move, Caroline scooped her up again, tickling away and sending her little sister right back into a giggling mess.
The afternoon consisted of playful banter and tickle fights, but if Marcy was honest, she wouldn’t have had it any other way.

AN IMPROMPTU SPECULATION POST
SPOILERS FOR AMPHIBIA SEASON 2B (“THE SECOND TEMPLE/BARREL’S WARHAMMER”)
IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THESE EPISODES, DO NOT READ FURTHER! THIS IS NOT A DRILL, DO NOT READ FURTHER!
I typically give a heads up and prepare a lot for a speculation post, but this episode had too much to just not talk about what could happen.
So in the before this episode, Anne, Marcy and the Plantars were in Wartwood having fun. While Sasha and Grimes were Toad-tally (sorry, I couldn’t resist haha) incognito since 204 (“Toadcatcher”) Which is absolutely WILD to say the least, that it took us like 13 episodes for a check in with them this late in the game. We have seen bits of Sasha here and there since “Toadcatcher”: “Marcy at the Gates”, “The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers”, and “The First Temple” with Anne’s flashbacks and General Yunnan’s report of the Toad Lords gathering. It’s just wild it took us nearly an entire season to check up on her again.
I’m gonna be talking about some specific moments from the episodes and speculate upon them. If you have NOT seen these episodes, this is your last chance to leave.
Season 2, Episode 17A - “The Second Temple”
So we begin with Anne, Marcy and the Plantars riding into the Amphibian Artic. Hop Pop in his “Hop Pocket” on Joe Sparrow’s chest was a really good episode gag.
We meet Valariana, the same lady from the Bizarre Bazaar. There’s a lot of vague talk in the episode about the box being gone for a vary long time. Valariana begins testing Anne in many ways: risking warmth or her friends, saving a stranger from an avalanche or minding her own business, and even saving Valariana with her “turn to evil” or leave her to die.
Anne passes the tests with flying colours. Not only being heartfilled and saving the people around her, but also taking responsibility for the consequences of her attempts and unsuccessful attempts of doing so. This is a good payoff since the First Temple tested Marcy on both her wit, and humility.
The stone begins to recharge: taking a very long time as part of an Amphibia anti-climactic payoff to a gag. It was pretty funny, but turns out... it has plot ramifications.
Anne hears Marcy and the Plantars screaming, and she runs back to them before the Blue Gem is fully recharged. It seems to be 3/4 filled before Anne takes it just by eyeballing it. And it turns out they were just watching something on Marcy’s phone. They all head home while Hop Pop says that Frobo can make them all some Hot Chocolate (which I want a Frobo for my own please).
The screen shows a black screen with the two charged gems on the music box, and the blue gem... glitches.
Honestly, this is the biggest sigh of relief for me. I thought it wouldn’t make sense for why all the gems on the Music Box would be fully restored while we still have a third season coming. If the gem is kinda not recharged properly, then that means there’s potential for things going wrong.
But what does it mean? The Blue Gem is partially restored, and since we know that the energy comes from the person who is the Heart (aka Anne) and if the gem isn’t fully restored, that also means that Anne has some of her Calamity Energy stored inside her still.
This actually puts a very neat unintentional wrench in Andrias’ plans. He wants them to restore the gems on the Music Box, for them to undo the Prophecy for him and “his Lord” to have their revenge. With three episodes left in the season, we still have no idea what that means.
If the second gem is not fully restored, that must mean the Music Box won't be able to take Anne, Sasha and Marcy home: whether that's them being stuck in Amphibia for another season, or travelling to one of the other worlds we see in the King's book in "A Day at the Aquarium". I think we're probably going to see more episodes in Season 3 of them staying in Amphibia, but I'm just not sure if we're going to end up seeing the other worlds in Season 3.
Either way, things have gone wrong and they're about to get a lot worse. I can see Sasha and Marcy leaving, but not Anne. (WHICH I DO NOT WANT PLEASE LET THEM BE TOGETHER) With that done, let's move on to the next segment.
Season 2, Episode 17B - “Barrel’s Warhammer”
Sasha and Grimes are always fun when we check in on them. It seems like they've gathered the Toads from the other Toad Towers (North, East, and West) at the Northern Toad Tower to convince them to join their plan to overthrow Andrias in the Kingdom. This also tells us that Grimes was in charge of the Southern Toad Tower. I like the touch of Grimes' sister being the Western Toad Tower lord, it was pretty fun.
The Toads are convinced until Grimes suggests that he and Sasha are to lead the rebellion. In the same sequence, Sasha learns that Anne and Marcy are working together (without her) under King Andrias. This is very important for later.
The toads try to imprison Sasha and the gang, but Sasha pulls a Sasha and Sasha's them unconcious. (That made more sense in my head, but okay) And the Northern Toad Lord says that if they can find the warhammer of Barrel the Brave, they will receive the help they need.
After this episode, we still don’t know who exactly Barrel the Brave was. My theory is that he’s the Toad in King Andrias’ painting in the Castle’s Basement with the Shadowfish. The Hammer seemed to respond to Sasha’s Calamity powers, so maybe it did work for him as presumably the Green Calamity Champion.
In this episode what I find interesting (besides the Kawaii poses which were spectacular) is that Sasha needs to be needed by Anne and Marcy. We see from her lines of betrayal that Anne and Marcy are doing fine without her. In my opinion it seems to be as a result of them following her every will like a scared pack of puppies, and she is betrayed that their immediate response isn’t to look for her.
Perhaps Sasha thinks that the events of “Reunion” have caused Anne to disown her as a friend, and making plans with Marcy to leave without Sasha. But Sasha doesn’t know that they’re trying to restore the music box, or even that they have it.
Percy and Braddick are just as interesting oppositions to Sasha’s psyche. When the two want to abandon the plan and do so by trusting Sasha, Sasha pulls a Sasha and Sasha’s them into a Sasha. (Again with the word play what’s up with me) They feel just as betrayed if not more so: they trusted Sasha and she just used them to get what she wanted without caring for them. Perhaps that’s also what Sasha thinks about Anne and Marcy working under King Andrias. (Ironic since she has done the same thing to them)
Sasha is so intriguing and I’m curious to see what they’ll do in “The Third Temple”. Perhaps Sasha will try to seek them out to give them the old one-two, and end up battling the Golem inside the Temple.
Obviously I’m gonna mention shipping. Two episodes where it’s fluff with Marcanne and angst with Sashannarcy. I feel in my soul that the OT3 is plausible where we are, if we just put a lot of work onto Sasha becoming better and repairing her relationship with the other two. But after that blush Anne gave Marcy in “New Wartwood”, there is no hetero answer for that: and yes I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
That’s the end of my post. I doubt I’ll have another big post like this until the week of Finale Speculation, unless something big plot-wise happens in the next three weeks, or something queer happens. (LGBTQIA+ Representation) Either way, I’m really excited.
Three weeks left. My next post will be on Finale speculation. Unless something else comes up. See you then!

Could i ask you to motivate me to watch the second half of amphibia season 2? Season 3 start tommorow and i really want to catch up.
Broooooo, the latter half of season 2 is AMAZING!!!! It'd got all sorts of goodies to enjoy!!! Sprig and Polly episode, Anne being a slightly responsibile older sister, Hop Pop cooking sunday dinner- I promise you, whatever you want to see, anon, the second half will have it.
You like Grime?? Hell yeah, we're getting more Grime. You like Marcy?? Whoo boy, we get a LOT of Marcy. You like the townies? They're back! You want some goddamn lore? There's plenty of that! Sasha? FUCK YEAH.
Listen. Listen. You like any ship in Amphibia- literally almost any ship- and there is content. Doesn't matter if it's canon or not. It happens. (Except for Sylvia. Where are you at, girl)
EMOTIONS!!! HAPPEN!!!!! There is a lot of beautifully frank, open discussion, on a lot of subjects. Sasha's motivations, Anne and Hop Pop's relationship, Marcy, Anne's own self-confidence beginning to grow. (I assume since you said halfway you're past Hopping Mall, but if not, HOLY SHIT)
And there's still plenty of goofs! Amphibia is as hilarious as ever while ALSO destroying your soul. It's great.
