Left Ear - A Barb Comic

I headcanon that Barb as a kid would try to act super tough but in the end, she always went running back to her dad. Then i thought about how she lost her ear and decided to draw this!

Also some extra little guys from the last panel since they're kinda hard to see but i think they're cute

Btw I also headcanon Barb and Thrash as Indian that's why there are some Hindi words. If these words were used poorly in this context please correct me!

Is there a reason why Taylor is reserved or somewhat introverted? Any broken hearts? (sorry, I can't live without that red-eyed man🙇)

Actually, Taylor comes from a seriously private family. His parents are basically no-fun-allowed police, strict about 'proper' displays of emotion, and are extreme sticklers for following rules to a key.

He grew up with a very muted sense of emotion as a result, has a very difficult time expressing himself properly, and is instinctively very adverse to displays of genuine emotion or affection, especially towards himself.

Keeping his thoughts to himself, staying quiet and watchful, also a result of being raised the way he was. And his sunglasses, too. His eyes are much more expressive than he can help, often getting him in trouble with his parents in his youth, so he eventually adopted habits to conceal his eyes. First it was long bangs, but eventually he moved onto sunglasses.

So that's why hes so reserved and conceals so much about himself. Half of it was taught into him by his parents, the other half is a learned defense against his parents.

And like... he's had a couple of brief dates in like, highschool, but never any heart breaks. He's so hard to get to know and understand, that his old partners quickly grew frustrated with him, and he's never actually held a proper partner for more than a month.
