Straight up I am absolutely terrified of this ED Program I'm applying to and I think the fact that I have to APPLY to a MEDICAL PROGRAM and go through 3 DIFFERENT INTERVIEWS before they even consider if I am anorexic enough to recieve treatment is honestly not the part I'm worried about it's the fact that I am going to have to apply for medical leave for both my jobs but I'm still trying to get partial medical leave so I can still work/not possibly lose said jobs is the nutty part like yeah I'm finally facing the fact that I've had this eating disorder for most of my life but no you need to worry about work first not the fact that your not well can't have your prioritizing yourself over capitalism

i’ve been withdrawing from needed medication for a week because my prescriber sent it to my pharmacy under my legal name. however, every other med i have is still under my dead name so when i tried to pick it up along with another prescription, they said it wasn’t available. it never occurred to me to ask if it was under a different first name! i have been suffering withdrawals for no reason!!!! i was never even contacted about the prescription either so there was no way to know it was actually ready.

it should not be this difficult to update a name in a system to avoid this shit

i think ive mentioned that i have various health issues and conditions before

the big ones affecting me right now are seasonal affective disorder, fribromyalgia/chronic pain syndrome, and plantar fasciitis in both feet and on top of all that, i am currently transitioning.

theres a lot of financial strain on me at the moment; my fiance's income is the only one we have. i'm too disabled to work a regular job but not disabled enough to receive disability income. thanks america. but yeah i owe over $1400 to various medical offices in addition to the ongoing copays for my various meds (a month's worth of t is $60), thanks america, AND i'm about to turn 26 next month, after which i will no longer be able to be on my parents' health insurance, thanks america.

all that to say that if i continue to be somewhat absent I'm very sorry

fr though on the Finger Front I think I'm probably fine even if that was momentarily bad enough I considered seeing someone, I was not joking about it being a fuckin fountain of blood for a bit there lmao

but the skin's still hanging on and blood appears to have clotted under and around it and isn't bleeding anymore and isn't even painful when pressure's not on it, so fuck it we'll see how it goes

idk if i'm like, burned out on asoiaf (i can't be, i talk about it all the fucking time i still get excited lol) or if it's like "oh god i'm so close to the ending and then that's it and we're never getting twow" or if i really am anxious about some of the later plot points - because like, i wasn't as nervous to read theon's chapters where he lets his men rape the women on the shoreline, or rapes kya, and i think part of that is it's a lot more vague? because theon is trying really hard to not think about what it is he's doing. whereas that block i had with the red wedding, and now i think with the tyrion chapter where he rapes the sunset girl, tyrion is Very Aware of what's happening because he's purposefully and actively taking steps Down The Wrong Path because he's testing himself, trying to see if he has the stomach to be a villain, to really accept that he is ~the monster they think he is~ so he's very aware that what he is doing is rape, and it's right there in your face. but i'm unsure if this is the block, it just seems like the most likely culprit? - but anyways i've been reading stuff just not a dance with dragons.

i did read a few jon snow chapters so i'm moving along a little bit? but i devoured this non fiction book called "no beast so fierce" which was about man eating tigers, i've been getting pretty consistently through "iron, fire and blood" as well as "madhouse at the end of the earth" which is another non fiction book (about a journey through the northern passage that went bad, as most did, and as someone with a phobia of dying at sea/drowning, i have an equal fascination with stories about people dying at sea because idk i'm a masochist and i've read/watched a lot about sea voyages gone terribly wrong, but i hadn't read about this one! i'm excited!) (i'm not being overdramatic about the phobia either, i had a panic attack while watching life of pi and the terror but good god was it so worth it!! humans vs extreme elements stories are fascinating to me as someone who would die instantly because of my disabilities!!!) and i speed-reread the queen of the damned and the vampire armand and the daniel molloy bits of...i think it was prince lestat, is the one where he's still with marius and trying to get marius to let him go out and flirt with armand lol, so i am reading a bit more (not as much as before) I'm just not reading adwd!

sucks because everytime i pick it up, i'm having a great time!! i love jon's story at the wall as lord commander, i love the horror fantasy of bran's chapters, i fucking love the meereenese knot, and i'm excited to get to all the aegon vi stuff to more solidly solidify my opinion there on whether he's a blackfyre or not and how that theory would even work (because every time someone is like "well they got sold into slavery" i'm like please be serious alsdjf), and i know basically everyone i follow/am moots with hate barristan but i love that useless old man so much!!!! but everytime i try to read my brain goes bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzz like a bug getting zapped by a light.

Its real strange when Americans especially (meaning politicians, less citizens but them too sometimes) say socialism doesn't work because how the hell would you even know. Half the shit American politcians describe as socialism isn't socialism, and often they treat those things like the sky will fall if they're implemented (like healthcare. Ignore Canada right above you. Lie about how our system works by telling people you need to wait years to see Drs about life threatening issues when you only get waitlisted for specialists and not for years either, it's generally a few months. Not ideal but not what American politicians say either. Ignore every other country with universal healthcare better than Canada's, which is everyone's, because there's no need to even lie about those after making the country above you look bad for not charging 80K to look at a band-aid, which is somehow an improvement to waitlists like the poor won't just die instead of seeing a dr).

Not to mention the US has invaded so many countries with politics farther left then theirs just to install right wing terrorists and then get mad when some of those terrorists they straight up funded do a 9/11 to them like they have slaughtered thousands to "spread democracy" by overthrowing democratically elected leaders all over the world for being "too socialist" or communist so how do you know socialism doesn't work? If it doesn't it's because America specifically has never allowed it to, like you can't invade every single country that does things mildly different, completely destroy them, and then say "see socialism doesn't work!" like you had nothing to do with the collapse of that system???? It's literally the meme of Eric Andre shooting that guy and being like "how come socialism didn't work!" like they didn't just shoot socialism in the face in cold blood. And also capitalism doesn't need to work at all in any way, efficient or not, for everyone to defend it to the hilt so like ok who cares if socialism works if you don't care that capitalism doesn't and you defend it anyway? Clearly "works" isn't a prerequisite to using that system so that's not even an argument worth bringing up at that point.

They recommended I take vitamin b-12 supplements and do a sport. Thanks guys, intensive exercise with no reward sounds exactly like that'll cure my fatigue, pain, and depression! Definitely don't try and prescribe me any sort of medicine, because that won't fucking help at all!

everything i learn about EDS has me more and more convinced that i have it. it literally explains every single health issue I've dealt with my entire life. and autistic people are more likely to have it. but i just learned hEDS happens in phases: hypermobility, pain, and joint stiffening. hypermobility is the "party tricks" like the fact that i was an insanely flexible child and was constantly showing off. and then the pain phase kicks in cause you've abused your joints so bad and now you're constantly injuring yourself. like how in the month of september alone i've hyper-extended BOTH of my knees cause they both decided to just bend way too far backwards out of the blue. and my chronic pain has been getting drastically worse throughout my 20s and i'm looking into getting a cane bc i have so many days i can barely walk. at this point i'd be shocked if i don't have EDS, but the only doctor in colorado (or at least my part of it) that diagnosis it costs several thousand dollars out of pocket. fuck my life
