without fail every single apartment that is promoted like this has the most insane amount of fees added onto the base rent. pet fee (one had $50/cat/month and like. listen i'm sorry that's too much. pet fees are fucked up esp when you add a deposit on top of it but in no universe should it be more than 25/cat/month ever). parking fee ($175 for a heated garage????? lmao no). but that's plus literally every single utility (one of them i looked at made the tenant pay for HEAT which i'm not joking is included in literally every single other apartment i looked at, even if other utilities weren't) plus the most jacked up application fee ($60?????) PLUS "administrative fees" (??????) in the 150-200 range. i'm sorry. but your base rent is already 1400+ and you're charging me another 200-300 bucks on top of that for things that should already be included in that insanely high rent, esp. considering your apartment is less than 500 square feet. i don't care about your community spaces, cover my fucking utilities.

your phone rang and it was a facetime call from yuta. you answered it and he was hovering over his phone.

"dude. so you know the fan accounts of us right?" he hums in acknowledgement.

"yuuji has one. well, had one."

his hand flew to his forehead as he tried to keep himself from laughing. it didn't work out, and he ended up laughing quite loud.

"yn you cannot be serious right now"

"so serious." you started to screenshare and made your way over to the twitter search bar. d1_yapper. you both had a fit of laughter and began reading the most popular tweets one by one.

"wait babe go back up.." you scrolled up, "i need them to kiss right now this is driving me insane" genuinely what compelled him to tweet that.

"this is like, the funniest thing thats happened to him," you said.

"wonder how bored he got to actively tweet on it."

yuuji entered your doorway and stared at you mortified. "you are such a traitor." he says while grabbing the nearest safe object to throw at you.

"hey!!" you make an attempt to block it, but realize it was futile. yutas laugh from your phone carried to yuuji's ears and the words that followed after. "how're you gonna cover this one up dude?"

"i'm not."

you raise an eyebrow at his words. "i'm gonna blame it on toge and frame him."

"sounds solid," yuta spoke. how did you get trapped with two idiot friends? well, a friend and boyfriend now.

over the weeks, you and youths relationship somehow grew even more, and it was actually quite healthy. he was the best boyfriend you could've ever asked for. you'd like to think that even if you didn't go downstairs in the middle of a stream, that you still would've found each other.

Moon had really thought that this road trip would be good for everyone.

"I am sleeping in the car!" Sun announced, slamming the door to the motel room.

"Sun, wait, it can't be-" Moon was cut off by Sun's near shriek.

"No Moon, I can't! The sheets d-d-don't look right."

"They look like sheets, Sun." Moon watched Sun sputter.

"Y-y-yes, sheets that multiple people have slept in before us!" Sun's rays were retracting, the lights in his optics hot white pin pricks.

"They change the sheets." Moon countered but that clearly wasn't the right thing to say.

"Do they Moon? Because I fould a hair, Moon! A hair!" Sun was near histarical.

Moon threw up his hands. It wasn't supposed to be like this. He slumped in defeat.

"Alright, fine! Just sleep in the van." Moon watched his anxious brother stalk off to the parking lot.

With a sigh he dropped down to sit on the step.

A few minutes later the door opened.

"A real great trip, huh?" Moon sulked, not bothering to look up.

A minute later Eclipse had sat himself down beside Moon with a sigh of his own. His hat jostled, causing the bell to chime softly. He picked at the patches on his mismatched pantlegs.

"It has been, Moon. This morning's hike was quite ameniable." Eclipse tried.

"Yeah but lot of good that's done!" Moon gestured towards the parking lot.

"Did he actually find a hair?" Moon asked.

The thought of that upset him greatly. He wasn't a fool, he knew it was possible, even if the sheets were washed. Maybe they had a faulty dryer or forgot the fabric softener? Sun would hate that, he'd hate that! He just wanted to go home.

"Well..." Eclipse considered the question, "I don't know, actually. My bed appears to be in suitable order but Sun does appear to be very upset." He drummed his fingers on his lap.

"I just want him to relax, to have some fun." Moon sank further into himself.

"Sun is enjoying this Moon, tonight...well it's just a bad night. This leaving the plex thing is all very new, especially for Sun." Eclipse turns his gaze to the parking lot, "Maybe go talk to him. He may just need something familiar."

With a sigh, Moon stood.

"Yeah, maybe." He started across the lot to the van.

Sun sat in the passenger seat. He was turned away and very noticably pulling at his rays.

"Hey," Moon started.

"I'm not going back in there, Moon!" Sun snapped, tugging his rays sharply.

"I know! I know, look...are you okay?"

"No, I'm not okay! What kind of question is that?" Sun turned to look at him, exasperated, "The room is too small, the sheets look wrong, the van smells, Eclipse won't stop humming and the Plex is a million miles away and I..." Sun curls in on himself.

Moon, waits to see if he will finish. When he doesn't, Moon speaks softly.

"We can go back early." His words are met with a shakey sigh.

"No, I don't want that. I just...I'm just homesick? I'm not even sure. I've never felt like this before." Sun had let go of his rays and was pulling at his fingers instead.

The crickets filled the Summer night air.

"Do you mind if I stay out here with you?" Moon asked.

Sun gave a watery laugh.

"You don't have to." He said.

"No," Moon said, pulling the chair release and laying the seat back, "but I am a bit creeped out by the room since you found a hair...plus the night is really peaceful out here."

"S-sorry..."

"Don't be. I'd rather stay out here with you anyways." Moon reached over and took Sun's hand.

A knock on the window drew their attentions to a smiling Eclipse. His mismatched eyes glowing softly in the growing dusk.

"Room for one more? I do enjoy a sleepover." He singsonged.

"Just don't hum anymore, Sun hates it." Moon deadpanned.

"Moon!" Sun cried mortified.

Eclipse laughed, crwling into the back and laying down the seats.

"No promises." He teased, "now let's get settled with our own sleeping this shall we?"

Distributing the sleeping bags and pillows from the very back, Eclipse, Moon and Sun finally settled down. All three asleep soundly.
