cosima clayborne and wonderwoman + role swap

okay, so from y.ara flor existing, we know there are amazons in other locations than themyscira, so in the same vein, cosima is hailing from a native american / themyscira-separated tribe. she’s got that amazonian physiology and skills; obviously i’m not removing her being deaf though. amusingly, i think she’d still use the last name clayborne since .... y’know ........ the diana-born-from-clay backstory. also because i don't think 'princess' is necessarily a title in native culture and the whole 'i.ndian princess/c.herokee princess' thing is yikes, so yeah. she wouldn't be cosima prince. if not fully 'clayborne', maybe just cosima clay.

in the vein of the first wonder woman movie, i can see cosima entering the war effort and having a connection with chief, but i don’t think i’d ship her and steve t.revor. i can see her still being affected by his death though and, after the war, going to travel the world. i think she’d still study fashion but on a wider scale, though it’s probably not until the 2000s that she actually starts her brand. she quickly grows in popularity, probably still meets bruce wayne at an art show in gotham though she's probably a little more confident. also probably wearing a 'hidden sword' dress a la diana's blue gown.

she’d probably still go by wonder woman, i can’t think of a reason why she wouldn’t. you can't tell me she wouldn't be so hot in the wonder woman suit.

diana i view as the child of a single mother in greece. since her surname 'prince' came from steve cutting her off (at least in the dceu), i think she'd have a different surname in this au; maybe diana vasiliou, vasiliou coming from the word 'basileios' meaning 'royalty'. she’s still got a lot of classic diana personality, but she doesn’t the superhuman power or immortality behind it. she’s just human and pissed off about the state of the world she has to live in. i think she’s the kinda girl that’s always ready to kick someone’s ass, probably took some self defense classes. absolutely a vigilante-in-the-night defender-of-women type.

i think she eventually moves to america, though maybe not gotham initially, she goes over to go to college and end up racking up debt. in the same way that cosima goes after museums and collectors that bought/stole native work, diana as a borderline vigilante/kind-of villain does the same but for greek artifacts. i do think that diana and selina would hook up in this au ngl. 

i don’t think she’d go by patchwork, since that alias came specifically from cosima’s design-work on her suit, i think maybe she’d go by statuette or effigy or iustitia/justitia/dike. something like that. it'd be a very grey-white suit, reminiscent of greek marble statues, her hair done similarly to those same statues, maybe even wearing a wrapped-mask in the fashion of the statue of justice.

2 things I love in life are skincare and christmas packaging so you can imagine my excitement when I visited the Kiehl's counter at John Lewis. For a limited time they have given their best sellers a festive makeover with limited edition packaging. Now we all know I would purchase something from this range but ironically I ran out of my favourite face mask so what better time to purchase a new one! Today we are chatting about the Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque, Holiday Limited Edition, 125ml.

Before we talk about the product let's chat packaging. Like I mentioned this product is in Kiehl's core collection but it's had a seasonal makeover. Looking very festive, we've got santa on the packaging, presents and a adorable snowball bauble on the lid! I'm a sucker for packaging so when I'm done with this I will be keeping the pot for something.

Anyway back to the mask itself. I have been using this mask for over 3 months and I adore it. This mask is designed to gently purify and detoxify your skin. Formulated with Fairly Traded Amazonian White Clay, this clay mask will help visibly reduce clogged pores and keep your skin smooth. Since my skin is oil-combo face masks like this make a massive difference with the condition of my skin and help keep my oils under control and my skin looking fresh / smooth. Since using this mask I have been wearing more lightweight formulated facebase products because this skin has helped clear my skin and make me feel comfortable enough to be more natural. Obviously results will vary depending on your skin type but for me personally it has made a massive difference to my complexion.

bestie drop the makeup routine/fav makeup products i need to buys new things

sooo bc i have eyelash extensions my routine if any is very boring cos most of the time i’m jus going to work or gym? so im usually smacking on SPF and then calling it a day.

however, if im arsed. it goes like this! i use the la roche prosay spf or the murad oil and pore broad spectrum spf, honestly i’m not too picky as long as it’s spf 45-50+. my every day makeup after that is just my pro filt’r hydrating primer by fenty, and a teeny bit of the tarte ultra creamy concealer. blend that out and i quite like the balms sexy mama translucent powder for those very minimal days (i’ll get into what powder is my acc fav in a sec) and then just a lip product, usually a nyx butter gloss, a fenty gloss or a colourpop lippie stix with gloss on top bc i only wear glossy lips all day every day. and i set with the too faced hangover 3-in-1 spray. however, on other days like if im doing something, going out or just wanna look nice, i quite like the nars natural radiant longwear foundation and the born this way concealer! and i always swear by the huda beauty setting powder, i prefer the banana bread shade personally but also love the other shades, sugar cookie is litro cocaine white but still has no flashback so it’s a godsend in all shades tbh. also i recently got the tarte amazonian clay full coverage foundation and i’ve quite liked that, but i’ve only used it a couple times and i don’t think anything will beat the nars tbh. also i’ve been loving the o!mega x three marc jacobs palette even if the pans are a bit stupidly sized and spaced. also i’ve been using the laneige water sleeping mask and it’s really sorted how my skin feels and looks with makeup on. hope this helps! 🫂💖

Ladybug swing around on the familiar route before landing on the rooftop of their designated place. Taking a deep breath, she smiled. Today’s events were ……..good.

She never thought that Chloe of all people would apologize. Can’t say she was that much surprised. Hearing multiple footsteps landing behind them, she greeted them with a smile.

 Seeing one missing, she sighed in annoyance before turning to her teammates again.

 No Chat again.

 He isn’t coming at all, ladybug.

 Ryu snarled. The other two were in good mood again. There is no way they are going to keep this guy in team for longer.

 Anything new? Your song is rather happy.

 Python pointed out making Ryu stare at her.

 Now that you have mentioned, you look lighter. What happened?

 Ladybug smiled before re-telling the whole story. They have a good laugh at Kaylan’s awkward ability to defuse the emotional tension. The said girl looked away muttering ‘how she would kill them if they said a word to anyone.’

 Just as they were about to start leaving Luna stopped them.

 I have another thing to tell you guys.        There was a stillness in the air. The feelings of something big happening fluttered in her chest.

 I called justice league.

 There was pin-drop silence. One could hear crickets in the distance. The trio processed the short information before chaos started.

 What do you mean you called them?!            (Ladybug)

 Do you mean the same justice league who thought we were pranking them?!                                   (Ryu)

Luna, you didn’t even asked me?!                      (Ladybug)

 Sighing, Luna snapped her fingers before their mouths were taped.

 The low growl of her voice shut them up before they shrunk. Well ...ladybug shrunk.

 Anyway, I did that because I was expecting you to react like this. Considering what you told me about justice league, I realized that the only person you have faced is green lantern.

 Well.....you’re not wrong.

 From what Wolff had told me, Amazonian and Atlantian are the race that had wielded miraculous before. Especially the creation. Queen Hera of the Amazon was one of the bugs.

 Listening to her, ladybug jolted before standing up. Waving her hands around, she pointed towards the tapped mouth of hers. Luna snapped her fingers before the two girls were released from torture.

 You......              ladybug vigorously pointed at Luna.       .....can you take us somewhere for ........you know?

 A blue colored dome covered the four before the scene around them changed. The colored lights and familiar kanji on the buildings around them made Ryu jump.

 Are we in Japan?

 We’re in Japan. On top of the apartment complex where we used to live before moving.

 Luna said as she called off her transformation. The others follow the lead and the Kwami joined them in the conversation before.

 Hera was one of my bugs! That’s how Diana was made out of clay! I can’t believe I didn’t thought of that!

 Tikki gushed making the others sigh at her behavior.

 Anyway how did you know about that? Wasn’t wolf active about centuries ago?

 Well we did told her a lot when we were looking for a proper miraculous for Kaylan.

 Tikki flew around before gushing over Kaylan for using her creative side after using her destructive side on many occasion.

 And how did you manage to get hold of wonder woman?  Marinette finally asked. There no way she had this much luck. She was balance. She used destruction in battle field and her life outside the mask was lucky. (Especially when she got out of Lila’s tricks and easily pranked her without getting caught.)

 I saw in my divination.

 Another pin drop silence took over before they all sighed.

 Of course, you would.

 Marinette helplessly muttered. Having extra ability sounds so good. If only she could use her ability to be able to stop time and get all of her commissions done in no time at all.

 The divination told me the date, time of which I should make a call. I did. And imagine my surprise when wonder woman said that green lantern have never told anyone of the situation or anything about a prank call.

 Wait he didn’t!?

 Shaking her head she watched as the three frowned at the news.

 Flashback:

 Luna waved at the trio as they left after patrol, before taking out her weapon and turning on the communication. With a deep breath to gather her nerves, she dialed a number.

 “Hello? Justice league watchtower. How may I help you?”

 “Wonder woman?”

 There was a pause before she answered.

 “This is me. May I ask who am I talking to?”

 Sighing, Luna used the miraculous magic to connect to the video. As soon as both parties saw each other, their reaction was polar opposite. Luna was calm while wonder woman was shocked.

 Shocked beyond words.

 “My name is Luna. I’m the wielder of miraculous of wolf.”

 As soon as she heard the words, she kneeled immediately.

 “Wielder of balance. How may I assist you? Where is the danger? Tell me I’m ready to give my life if you ask for it.”

 If anyone from the league was able to this, they would have signed themselves for mental hospital. There is no way that a child would make wonder woman kneel like this.

 “Please stand up. We don’t have time to waste. I’m sure you know what it means to have wolf in circulation.”

 “Yes, my mother told me. The balance had been upset and it would go beyond repair if it isn’t restored.”

 Luna nodded before retelling the events of Paris. Wonder woman was horrified .....................and angry.

 Well anger was a small word.

  She was furious.

 How dare Hal do something like this? Did he not know who and what he is messing with?

 “Wonder woman.”

 She broke out of her stupor when Luna called her. She looked at her like she knew what she was thinking.

 “It would be best if you do not and I mean DO NOT come to Paris or bring any teammate here. You and many others use your emotion to fuel your strength. And in a place that is emotional hostage you might become the first victim. We barely have strength to take down akuma and senti-monster. We won’t be able to take down a trained hero.”

 Hearing that, she looked down. To think it would escalate to this much that she would be advised by a young. But then again, miraculous users are above her, her mother’s teaching had been drilled in her mind.

 “I will do as you advice.”

 “I was hoping you would discuss this with the league and see what we do. Once you have a general idea of the situation, we can set a meeting between two parties and discuss what you can offer and what we need.”

 “I will do as you say.”         Wonder woman bowed.

 “One more thing wonder woman. You need to know that the cat has been corrupted. We might need a new cat.”

 “Great Hera! How bad can this situation get?”

 “..............The peacock miraculous is damaged and the enemy is still using it.”

 “Great Hera have mercy!”

 Luna smiled a little before turning away to look at something.

  “It would be in our great interest to gather information before we can move forward. Keep an eye on the Paris local news. Better gather all heroes. The more you know, the better solutions might come up.”

 “Of course. Please take care.”

 Flashback ends

  So yeah that’s happened.

 The teammates looked away and sulked. Who wouldn’t! Kaylan get to meet wonder woman. Even Tikki sulked. She wanted to see the child of her creation.

 Seriously guys.

 You get to meet wonder woman. No fair.

 Marinette whined before turning away. While Luka and Kagami looked calm, their aura were too sad to ignore. Rubbing her temple she told them to get ready to return, like hell she’ll let them sulk in front of her.

 Bonus:

 Kaylan woke up suddenly. Her breathing was heavy. Looking around she saw her miraculous wasn’t with her and neither was Nova.

 Oh yea, I’m in the dream.

 Looking at the calendar, she saw a date marked with black. Standing up she looked out of her balcony. The night sky was illuminated with bright stars. Looking around, her eyes fell on the toy shop window. Or rather a lone action figure.

 Her eyes stayed on the figure which posed for the lasso to be thrown. Just as she thought she had seen enough, the loud whooping of the familiar voice was heard. On the rooftop in front of her, three heroes said goodbyes to the fourth one.

 Kaylan looked at the wolf hero, who was clearly her but not at the moment. She stayed on the rooftop for a while before turning. Their eyes met before Luna gave a smirk.

A cold chill went down her spine before she woke up. Patting her neck she was relieved to see the miraculous around her neck. Nova slept on the fluffy pillow beside her. It was (not) just a dream.

FaceTime with Nicole

It’s Self-Care Sunday.  The one day a month Nicole gets to herself.

Henry spent the night at her mom’s yesterday, so Nicole was able to sleep in until the blissful hour of ten. No demands for breakfast.  No cartoons on full blast in the living room.  And absolutely no terrifying drives to the emergency room with an eight year old boy bleeding and crying all over the cream interior of the car.

No, none of that.  Today is all about Nicole.

Face mask on and tub of low-fat non-dairy ice cream beside her on the couch, she has just queued up the first episode of the new season of The Crown on Netflix when her phone goes off.

Of course it’s Charlie.

Fuck.

She answers it without thinking, forgetting that it’s a FaceTime call, so the first thing Charlie says is a rather shocked, “Jesus, Nicole!  What the hell have you done to your face?” and then he starts laughing.

She would scowl at him, but the mask has already started to dry, and she doesn’t want to have to deal with cleaning up shards of it off the couch. “It’s Amazonian Clay,” she tells him shortly.  “Great for anti-aging.  I’ll send you the link, if you want.  You should try it.”

Twenty seconds in to their conversation, and she’s already fired the first shot.  Must be a new record.  But it’s better to start off that way, isn’t it?  Assert dominance before her ex starts running rings around her.  Talking down to her.  Like he always does.

Charlie’s lips briefly press into a thin line, but he doesn’t reply.  The silence stretches … and stretches … and stretches.  Nicole begins to feel stupid and uncomfortable.  Beside her, the ice cream is already beginning to melt.

She cracks first, as always.  “What do you want?” she demands.  “You know Henry’s at my mom’s, right?”

“Yes, I know,” he replies.  She can’t see him rolling his eyes, but she can definitely hear it in the tone of his voice.  “That’s why I’m calling now. I wanted to talk to you without the possibility of him listening in.”

“O-kay,” she says, very slowly.  Now that she thinks about it, he looks rather more serious than usual.  Almost nervous.  And Charlie rarely looks anything but smug, self-satisfied and supremely confident. “You have ten minutes before I need to wash this mask off.  I’m listening.”

Charlie takes a breath ... and then hesitates, as though he doesn’t know where to begin.  Which once again, is completely unlike him.  In the absence of him speaking, Nicole’s mind starts running riot with the possibilities of what he’s about to say.  Maybe he’s going to jail for murder!  Maybe he has cancer!  Maybe he’s relocating to Europe and she’ll never have to see him again …

“It’s about Britt,” he begins, and then stops again, chewing on the inside of his lip in that annoying way he does sometimes.

Nicole frowns.  A puff of dust falls off the face mask, and drops onto the front of her nice white bathrobe, staining it pink.  That name again.  It’s been over a year, and that woman is still around, and Nicole can’t understand why.  Henry talks about her quite often, and has a photo of her, Charlie and himself on his nightstand. Nicole glanced at the photo just once, when Henry had been waving it in her face.  She remembers thinking that Britt didn’t look anything like her.  She didn’t look anything like those floozies Nicole used to convince herself Charlie was just flirting with, either …  “Oh?” she says, in the most disinterested tone anyone in the world has ever used.  “What about her?”

Charlie runs his hand through his hair twice, even though it looks annoyingly perfect as always.  “She’s been offered a transfer at work. We’ll be relocating next month -”

Oh, thank god, Nicole thinks, relief rushing to her head so quickly she almost feels drunk with it. Please let it be far away.  Like Europe.  Or Africa.  Or the moon.  

“- to LA.”

There’s a faint buzzing in her ears.  Her jaw tightens involuntarily.  A couple more chunks fall off the mask, and flutter down onto her robe. “I’m sorry,” she says, softly.  Dangerously.  “I must be hearing things.  I thought you just said you’re moving to LA.”

The bastard actually gulps, but he sounds extremely patronizing when he responds, “I did.  I wanted to let you know as early as possible. I thought it was only fair to keep you in the loop, as it were.”

Fair? Fair?  There is a tirade of words beginning to creep up her throat like a tsunami of bile.  But all she does is nod slowly, and all she says is, “I understand.”

She watches his shoulders slump slightly, and a smile begin to appear. “Okay, good-”

“I just think it’s funny how you’re deciding to do it now.”  The words tumble out of her mouth.  She hadn’t even known she was going to say them.  Hadn’t even thought them.  And now there they are, hanging in the air between them like a bad smell.

The smile fades, and Charlie’s brow creases as he begins to frown. “Excuse me, what?”  He’s keeping his voice quiet and calm.  The hand that isn’t holding the phone is raised, palm facing her, as though he is trying to deal with some rabid animal.

Well, two can play at that game.  Where she blurted out her last sentence, now she speaks slowly, enunciating every word quite clearly.  “It’s really interesting how you promised you were going to move out here two years ago, and then you changed your mind at the last minute.  But now that she wants to-”

The fingers on the raised hand are now flexing slightly.  “We’ve talked about this so many times. You know I’ve been trying to think of a way to make this happen -”

“BULLSHIT!” she yells.  In the quiet of the house, it echoes slightly, so it sounds like there are several Nicoles all calling him on his crap.

That stops him right in his tracks.  Half the goddamn mask has just cracked off, but it was worth it to see the bastard shit himself like that for once. But he’s still not rising to her bait, like she wants him to.  Like she knows he wants to.  He clears his throat.  “Nicole … sweetheart … let’s be reasonable …”

Nicole grits her teeth.  Fucking fucker.  “Don’t you dare ‘sweetheart’ me, Charlie Barber!  Don’t you fucking dare tell me to be reasonable.  I’m just pointing out a fact here.  You wouldn’t do it for Henry.  You wouldn’t move to LA for your own son.  But you’ll do it for her-”

“No. NO -”  Finally, he’s starting to lose his cool.  Finally.

She rolls her eyes.  “Sure, Charlie.”

His mouth opens and closes several times like a fish before he speaks again.  “Listen, Nicole.  Listen.  We’re doing it because I want to be closer to Henry.”

She snorts.  “It’s always about what you want, isn’t it?”

He’s pointing at her now, finger stabbing to emphasize every word he says. “That’s not true-”

This time, she lets out a mirthless HA!  “I get it, Charlie.  Now it’s convenient for you, you’re going to do it.  Well maybe it’s not convenient for us.  Maybe we don’t want you here.  Have you even thought about that?”

His big, stupid mouth snaps shut.  His face has gone even paler than usual.  He’s staring at her like she’s just slapped him.  “What?”

“You can’t just do whatever you want, Charlie.  That’s not how it works.”

He opens his mouth to respond, but she has already hung up on him.

She slams the phone down on the couch, and marches up the stairs to the bathroom to wash the mask off.  It hasn’t been anywhere near ten minutes yet, but she needs to do something; needs to distract herself from the way her hands have begun to shake, and her eyes have started to sting. Even from upstairs, she can hear the phone ringing and ringing, but she ignores it as she dabs her face dry with a towel, then applies toner, moisturizer, eye cream, and a lip mask, all without looking at her reflection in the bathroom mirror.

By the time she’s finished, the phone has stopped ringing.  Nicole straightens her robe and leaves the bathroom, but instead of taking a left and heading back downstairs, she turns right into Henry’s room.  She steps over and around the minefield of Lego that Henry promised he was going to clean up before her mom picked him up last night, sits down on the edge of his unmade bed, and after a few moments turns her gaze towards the photo she’s looked at only once before.

It was taken outside the Museum of Natural History last winter vacation, judging by their attire.  Henry is standing in the middle, clutching his latest haul of dinosaur merchandise, and pulling a funny face at the camera. Both Charlie and the woman have a hand on Henry’s shoulder, and an arm around each other.  Her head is resting against Charlie’s chest, and he is looking down at her and Henry with a small, soft smile.

They look like a family, Nicole thinks, feeling slightly sick.
