Ridiculously expensive, spectacular 1910 mansion in New York City. 8bds, 9ba, 12,000 sq ft (it's huge), $55m. It's not selling, probably b/c not many people have $55m. There's also an HOA fee b/c it's a townhome and there's maintenance and elevators, but they don't give the monthly cost.

A neutron star is made of the densest possible material that we know of - any denser, and it'd collapse the rest of the way into a full-fledged black hole. Neutron stars are so unimaginably dense that they're not even made of an element, not really. The star at the center of the Crab Nebula is one, single atomic nucleus 12 miles in diameter, made entirely of close-packed neutrons. One teaspoon would weigh 10 million tons. Imagine taking a passenger jet, condensing it down to the size of a mote of dust, and then filling a spoon with that dust. And it spins too - 30 times a second. That spinning causes huge jets of material to eject from the poles at half the speed of light. The incredibly powerful magnetic field traps any stray particles and accelerates them in circular paths through the nebula. Just LOOK at this shit! See the ghosty shadows of the jets, stretching from the top left corner to the bottom right?

But what's really making me lose it is this Hubble timelapse. The star is making ripples. Its moving. Its been dead for almost a thousand years, but its still putting on its final, spectacular show.

It never ceases to amaze me that the things we call "dead" stars are some of the most dynamic, energetic, and awe-inspiring objects in the universe. Normal stars are downright STAGNANT compared to what these so-called "stellar remnants" get up to. Maybe we shouldn't be thinking of them as dead stars, but as the next phase in a star's life. Just as caterpillars "end" their mundane lives and metamorphose into something new and strange and capable of flight, these stars destroy themselves to leave behind something far more exotic, playing at the edge of the laws of physics in ways we still don't fully understand.

Okay, hear me out, stephanie brown as battinson side kick in the batman 2.

and before you say Im crazy, please listen:

At the start of the batman 2, Bruce fights the latest in a series of riddler copycat that appeared following the events of the first movie. This one calling themselves “cluemaster”. Batman tracks him to his home after receiving an anonymous tip and fights him. He knocks him out and handcuffs him for the cops, but before he can leave he discovers Stephanie in the home. Stephanie thanks Batman and tells him she knew he’d stop her father. Batman quickly realises that it was Stephanie who gave him the tip. Steph explains that her father became mentally unwell after her mothers death and became inspired by riddler. Fearing him she tipped batman off to his location. Batman thanks her and goes to leave but Steph asks him to stay, fearing her father waking up. He reluctantly agrees and they talk until Gordon arrives. Bruce later decides to take her in temporarily until the new orphanage he’s funding is completed. Steph is incredibly intelligent, has met batman and is in close proximity with Bruce. All this eventually leads her to discover that he is batman and she insists on helping him. Of course he says no but that’s not gonna stop her…

After this little ramble about how the story could go, here are my reasons on why I think stephanie would be amazing in battinson universe:

Hope - Steph is a character who deeply values hope—holding on to hope for herself, and also bringing hope to others. More than for any other Robin, Stephanie grew up idolizing Batman as a symbol of hope and resistance, not fear and vengeance.

 Connection to the lower class and crime-vulnerable population of Gotham- Rather than allowing a child into the crimefighting world, Batman meets a kid who already lives there. Rather than just swooping in from above to save the masses down below, Batman empowers someone to save her own people.

Giving Steph the spotlight - Lately, DC has been cashing in on Stephanie representing a Girl Wonder (Robin 80th Anniversary Spectacular, Robins, Wayne Family Adventures, etc) among a herd of weirdly identical teen boys. While it's nice to see Steph getting recognized, her actual 10-week stint as Robin was basically a mean-spirited stunt instead of a proper run. It'd be nice for Steph to legitimately get a major spotlight as Robin.

just watched The Substance and I'm so happy I decided to go and watch it, after all! it was so good!!! the body horror was spectacular, the acting was superb, everything was just right, honestly. it was horrific and hilarious at the same time (especially toward the end), which made me feel terrible for laughing as hard as I did, because on a deeper level, none of those scenes are funny, but on a movie level, they were hilarious (and had genuine comedic elements, so in a way, you're supposed to laugh, and you're most likely also supposed to feel bad about that). truly, I love Coralie Fargeat's style! her movies are so incredibly stylistic in the best way, I love it so much! <3 (please also watch "Revenge", if you liked The Substance. that movie of hers is amazing as well! but make sure to read the warnings or short plot summary of it because it deals with triggering/sensitive subject matters!)

You've got to see this property. The 1890 Victorian in Lexington, Illinois is spectacular, but the outbuildings on the property are incredible. It has 5bds, 5ba, $4.5M, but you have to see what comes with it.

Beautifully dilfy. I like the muted greens of his clothes. They work nicely with his hair, greyed by the stress of prolonged exposure to Beifong. Though his necklace defying gravity sometimes baffles me.

An ok outfit for our favourite dorky loser. What the fuck are those glasses. Points for how the loose short sleeves accentuate his weak lanky little arms.

Beautiful. Love the contrast of the greens silvers and greys. And the teardroplike pendants on his necklace are a lovely addition. The hairstyle is iconic and i adore the eyebrow piercing. Though his gauntlets bending at his wrists is a little weird.

It's... okay. I love the necklace, but her bracelets look like they've been made out of the pipe attached to my kitchen sink. Her outfit is relatively plain above the waist, but the bottom half is disconcertingly complex. Do we need that many triangles? Really?

Wing & Wei: 7/10

Solid and pretty simple for our sporty bois. The way their robes work are a little confusing at times though. I love the little details that differentiate them. Like the placement of their armbands, and Wing's jewellery being rather angular, while Wei's is circular.

Aiwei: 10/10

What can I say other than slay?

The nosering? Slay. The greens and yellows combination? Slay. The tassels? Slay. I would've thought his glasses would've cladged with his nosering but they actually look really good.

The firat outfit is kinda meh... its ok, just nothing special.

The second one I love! Even though it's just a recolour, the greys and browns and beiges add a lot of character and I love it! It feels a little more unique than the usual greens. I love the collar and necklace.

2024 Interlagos: Winners and Losers

Alrighty, lets dive into more detail. I will tell you my winners podium and my losers podium and explain why. Reminder, this is no hate to any driver, they are all talented. But I will be honest about their performance.

Winners:

Max Verstappen

Who else was it going to be? This was a generational drive from Verstappen, and the most impressive wet performance I have seen since Jenson Button. His qualifying went less than well, but that did not seem to stop Verstappen, as he clawed his way from 17th up to 7th or 8th very quickly in the race, showing his confidence in extremely difficult conditions. This allowed him to gain solid track position behind Ocon when the top drivers pit, and when Red Bull took a gamble and kept him out for longer, it paid off. A red flag after a crash allowed him to stay up in 2nd for the restart, and switch to fresher tires in the process. He was off to the wind after that, overtaking Ocon and securing first. But Verstappen did not stop there instead he kept putting in the fastest lap over and over and over again, as if trying to nail in how amazing of a performance it was. Stunning, spectacular, and the boost he needed in the championship. No one can disagree, this was an incredible race for him, so he has to be my winner of the winners.

2. Alpine

I don't usually have one team up here, but with two of their drivers on the podium, it is hard to deny that Alpine as a team don't deserve 2nd on my winners podium. They were the other team that took the same gamble as Red Bull, which very much paid off, but the win also came from their drivers incredible qualis and their performances in the race. Ocon and Gasly were amazing, pushing that car to the limit and keeping a cool head even when surrounded by much faster cars. Gasly especially held of George Russell to the end, who had DRS on him for most of the last few laps. It was an absolute thrill to see them on the podium, and by far the happiest cool down room I have seen in a long time. 10/10 for Ocon and Gasly, 10/10 for the Alpine team, they were on another level today.

3. Yuki Tsunoda

Anyone who counted Tsunoda out of the Red Bull seat rumors is a fool, and this race he proved that. His qualifying was the real star, and Tsunoda is clearly very comfortable and skilled in wet conditions. While he may have dropped a few places, he drove solidly and held on to a valuable points position. Importantly, he finished ahead of Lawson, Perez, and Colapinto. This, in my opinion, definitely puts him back in the running for that Red Bull seat. Solid drive from Tsunoda.

Runners Up: Russell (not his best, but great start and solid finish), Leclerc (for a decent race and holding off the speedy McLarens), and Lawson (for getting into the points once again).

Losers:

1. Lando Norris

I don't think anyone expected this to be such a negative race for Norris after his spectacular quali. But something about this race seemed to make him lose that magic dust, and after he was overtaken on turn one by Russell, it was all downhill from there. He simply could not get by the Mercedes driver, and then he pitted, even after his team kept asking him to stay out for a possible safety car or red flag. Well, the McLaren team was correct and shortly after he pit, the red flag came out and he lost his position. To make matters worse after the race resumed, he was overtaken by Leclerc, and dropped down to 7th, until his teammate moved over for him. Very bad race, very negative consequences for his title fight. I find this one especially bad because of what a great chance he had to chip away at Verstappen's championship lead, which he lost completely. What a shame for Norris, and a little strange for such a skilled wet weather driver.

2. Sergio Perez

I really do not feel good about how much Perez is on my losers podium. He had relatively decent pace at times, so I had hoped to see more positive results (especially after his solid sprint race) but Perez seemed to fall off a bit in these conditions. He had brilliant battles, but ultimately lost most of them, and a finish outside of the points is not what he wanted or needed. This is especially painful because both of the VCARBs finished ahead of him. While he showed some flashes of speed, the ramifications of this to his career but him on my losers podium

3. Everyone Who DNFd

Rarely do I have multiple people on one podium level, except for teammates, but there were so many DNF's that I just had to smoosh them together. So pout one out for Alex Albon (who couldn't even start after a quali crash), Franco Colapinto (crash), Nico Hulkenberg (DSQ), Lance Stroll (went off on formation lap), and Carlos Sainx (crash). It was a difficult race so it is not unexpected to see so many, but they of course are the part of my losers podium today.

Runners Up: Hamilton (for a rough race in general), Piastri (for an uninspiring race), and Alonso (for a poor finish in conditions that usually favor him)

Alright everyone, those are my podiums. Very interesting race. Tough too so I am not saying any of these drivers are unskilled, just that some don't thrive in these conditions.

Random Togami Headcanon Part 5

This one is incredibly dumb and nonsensical but it makes me laugh. Just, Byakuya but Velmafied. Like, bastard without the glasses is just fucking lost. He can't see shit and constantly stumbles into walls and poles and the ground. I guess it's even funnier to me because of his long ass legs. Just, it's so dumb. They are just long twigs. Byakuya is legit just an oversized stickbug in a suit and it's gorgeous. Phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend. Legitimately, he looks so goofy to me that imagining him fucking running is just hilarity. We were robbed. Just imagine it. Like, the Hajime run but worse. THIS RUN BUT WORSE!

That would be sick. Golden. Amazing. Spectacular. All those positive adjectives. But, anyway, back to the Velma stuff like, if Byakuya's run is probably goofy, imagine this. Also, I am now imagining him going "Jinkies" too and that is just adorable though I find him doing the bare minimum adorable. Like, smiling. Also, gosh, we were so robbed from hearing him laugh. It would be so cute! So freaking cute! Doubt he'd do a little giggle but imagine. The cute dorkiness is going to kill me, I swear. But, anyway, maybe he and the rest of the survivors should just Scooby do it up or something. Get a van. Paint the van. Punch ghosts. Profit. Also, I know Byakuya gives more Fred energy despite him not at all being friend shaped but Byakuya is rocking this the best he can so we must accept his cosplay now.

Amazing book. Written beautifully with amazing blend of teenage angst, adorable pining and the enemies-to-lovers-but-they-dont-really-know-they're-enemies-and-instead-just-fall-in-love trope really got me. The plot line is incredible and in the series is two more books which I will read and then give individual reviews and then a full review.

This book is spectacular, with hitches and suspense and events that had me literally gritting my teeth with anxiety. My dad is extremely concerned.

The characters are lovable and well-written but I find them harder to connect with than other characters in books I've read.
