I just remembered that I'm no longer keeping it a secret that the Patriarch is Abel in my Harlequin AU which means I can actually draw my own version of Abel in canon TADC

Anyways he's a carnival barker in my own interpretation, and is in charge of the carnival on the circus grounds

I'm kinda surprised no one's had the idea to make Able a Carnival barker to parallel Caine; who's a Circus ringmaster-

As someone who loves animated tv and movies I can say with certainty that the way arcane uses micro expression is so special.

The animation of expressions is simplified in most media for obvious reasons but when arcane animates expression they seem to actually take advantage of the ability to animate each frame to really detail these micro expressions.

They add so much depth to the characters and the story in my opinion. Allowing for the audience to see the conflicting and underlying thoughts and emotions behind a characters actions.

Movement in the ears, eyebrows, lips, jaw, flickering of the eyes or eyelids. Even the way a movement can be faster or slower, halting or assured. All of it tells the story of what the character is going through or thinking better than words can.

This is why I don’t really think much about the arguments that revolve around “they never explicitly talked about this, or apologized, or gave forgiveness etc” cause it’s the little things arcane shows visually like these micro expressions which paint a much more complex picture that doesn’t need words to communicate.

OKAY— so i loved the new episode ofTADC and what kinda person would I be if I didn't mash up my two interests with some friends? Thank u @samo-nkey and @biggielean for the yap session on these guys! They came up with most of the ideas for this lil silly fest, I was just autistically staring the whole time drawing these up

Next up I wanna do Stanley and Dipper! And eventually get up to Fiddleford. If y'all like this enough, I might go over more my thoughts and draw a lil on how this lil au would go in my head

Otra idea rara para un AU de digital circus me bino pero we, la verdad solo me centré en el diseño de algunos personajes junto con su "estética"

Another weird idea for a digital circus AU, but the truth is, that I only focused on the design of some characters along with their "aesthetics"

El diseño que más me gustó fué el de Gangle ( me atrevo a decir que es la más hermosa del grupo jajajaja) pero aún tengo mis dudas sobre algunos diseños, sobretodo con el de Zooble ya que como éste es básicamente una mezcla random de partes puss no me decido que parte va en en dónde y que (pensé en hacerle un diseño medio cyberpunk).

The design that I liked the most was Gangle's (I dare say that she is the most beautiful of the group hahaha) but I still have my doubts about some designs, especially with Zooble's since they're basically a random mix of parts, I can't decide which part goes where and what (I thought about making a kind of cyberpunk design).

Now, when tackling the monster designs for this little crossover, I had to keep in mind what made the LN monsters so unique and uncanny in the first place. Which meant simple, but exaggerated, contorting body horror features. I had to not stray from original TADC concepts and try to embody them in these designs as best as possible, and made them extra grotesque. For Jax's case, he's become a farmer that also doubles as a scarecrow, something he asked the Doll (Ragatha) to do to him. His purple complexion is the result of this decision.

There's also the factor of making them have more muted colors as opposed to bright and saturated ones, to really make it hit home and the cast would fit in the universe of Little Nightmares (even though the environments are most definitely not gonna be the same as the games, since the monsters' environments reflect their occupation/role) Ragatha in this one is a Dollmaker whom had an unfortunate run in with the Entomologist (Kinger), resulting in stitches.

The designs may look simple enough, but make no mistake; I had a TON of trouble figuring out how to incorporate the TADC cast into a more monstrous versions of themselves because of just how vastly different the vibes between the two medias are. These designs underwent at least 2-3 tries before being finalized, because goddamn character design is my passion but does it kick ass sometimes Good ol' Kinger here is an Entomologist (Insect collector), who doesn't like his "focus" on his work and belongings being disturbed. He has two detached hands that roam around.

Obviously this isn't where it ends because I still have to do Gangle, Zooble, Gummigoo, Gloink Queen and Loolilalu (Maybe even Martha Mildenhall) so this may be a multiple part series.

Not to mention, Pomni and Caine's monster selves too because I'm not gonna ignore that, everyone becomes a monster in this and no one can stop meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
