When you transferred to UConn, it was amazing. The atmosphere was great, the people were nice and lastly, they had the best basketball team ever. you were having trouble with your car, it wouldn’t start and you really had to get to practice. you popped the hood open and got out your car, aggressively slamming the door and opened the hood all the way. But she asked for your keys and hopped in the driver seat. The car started, making you sigh in relief. She came out the car with a smile, looking at you. The girl just laughed, shaking her head. “The time I spent with my dad came in handy. Im Charlotte.” She held her hand out. You shook your head and pulled her in for a hug, “you literally just saved my life. you deserve a hug.” You told her your name as you two pulled away. “Do you need a ride or something? How can I repay you?” Your phone dinged, making you look down at it.

you shrugged your shoulders, “okay? yall don’t have to be the ones who do that, though. There’s hella girls on the team who can. I j-“ Suddenly, a voice could be heard. “Hi guys!” Charlotte came next to Paige. Azzi and Paige smiled, immediately looking at the girl.

you just scoffed, “exactly what i’m talking about.” you muttered and skated away further from the three. “Pumpkin!” you waged them off, putting your airpods back in your ears. you drifted off into your own space, skating was something you loved doing besides basketball.

it always calmed you, and it was very fun to do. it took you a while to actually get it down packed, but you even learned them little skating routines that those skaters do every chance they had.

it was a talent to be honest, they be crouching and spinning but it was entertaining. you started to lift your leg up, the song playing in your ears making you wanting to try something. as you were about to do another trick, you felt a tap on your shoulder.

it was a girl, she was tall and brown skinned. her hair was out and curly, she even had glasses. she gave off soft masc vibes and it made you smile. “hey, boo.” she spoke as she skated next to you. you smiled, “Hey, girl.”

“you here with anybody?” the girl asked, you nodded. “yea, my basketball team.” you pointed to where the group was just to see them all looking at you. the girl looked over and nodded, before taking a double glance.

“wait, are you guys-“ you nodded, a giggle escaping. her eyes went wide, “holy shit! i love you all so much.” she spoke, her smile big and bright. you awned, appreciative of her support. “you’re actually so talented and it was so smart of you to transfer to uconn. they needed you real bad.” you laughed, before guiding her over to the team. “you want a picture?” She nodded, trying not to giggle too much.

“girls, this is…” she oh’ed. “I’m Skylar.” you smiled, “this is skylar. she’s a fan, she wanted a picture.” The girls smiled, standing up. “Hi, Skylar. you’re very beautiful.” Jana commented as she went over to the girl. Skylar was star struck, she couldn’t believe that she was standing in the same area as the UConn’s Women’s basketball team.

“Thank you!” You then remembered, “Hey, charlotte? could you take the picture? thank you.” You shoved Skylar’s phone into her chest, purposely. Charlotte forced a smile, before nodding. “Sure!” Everyone posed for the picture and Charlotte took it. “Thank you so much. It was nice talking to you.” Skylar told you.

you smiled, “no problem sweetheart. thank you for watching us play.” She nodded and skated away, a huge smile on her face. “What was all that about?” Jana asked as she looked at you. you shrugged, “nothing. she wanted a picture.” You walked away to go take a seat on a bench, just wanting to chill out.

it was 4:30 when everyone decided they wanted to go home so they could all get ready for dinner later on tonight. “What are you gonna wear?” Allie asked as you both walked back to the car. “a black dress, something simple. what about you?” She nodded, “Me too.” You smiled, “twins.” she just laughed and shook her head, waiting for aubrey to unlock the car.

You notice Azzi, Paige and Charlotte still side by side, laughing at something. You weren’t even mad at the fact they were talking to the girl, she is new to everyone, it’s just the fact that they have prioritized her over you this whole day. From afar, you’d think they were the three who dates which was a problem. That meant they were being too friendly and you were now starting to get uncomfortable.

“You seem annoyed by them. You okay?” Allie asked. You shook your head, “I just find it weird how close they’ve been all day.” Allie nodded, looking back at them. The three of them came by the car, standing next to Allie and you. “Did you have fun, Allie?” Charlotte asked, her voice making you wanna cut your ears off.

“Yea, I did! Did you?” Charlotte nodded, “I did too!” you lowly chuckled, “yea i bet.” you muttered. Allie elbowed you to stop. Charlotte, Azzi, and Paige all looking at you. Charlottes smile faltered before looking back at Allie. “This made me like skating! I’m definitely gonna come back.” You then start to think, where the hell is aubrey?

You looked over at your girlfriends to see them already looking at you. you looked back and forth between brown and blue before rolling your own eyes and getting on your phone. Charlotte could be heard still talking but you just blocked her voice out, not wanting to hear it. You saw morgan coming and wanted to know if you could sit in the passenger seat.

Okay so i just watched the new yellowjackets episode and WTF. Okay so first Lottie dosnt wanna go back wish i get ofc and then Shauna and then Tai. i cant believe all of this is happening to me... this year already started with some of the best news i could receive... the school paired me up with the partner i wanted to work with the most, im sharing the classroom with my best friend who was my partner last year so i'm still going to be able to count on her a lot... i just had an amazing birthday celebration this weekend at the mountains with my boyfriend, it was just the two of us at this beautiful place surrounded by tiny waterfalls that looked straight out of a fairytale, he cooked amazing meals for me and surprised me with the best cake i've ever had in my entire life, we even went on a spa on my birthday!! everything was beautiful, i had such nice vacations, i did so many nice things and saw so many beautiful things, i have so many plans for my future and i'm so excited about life!! about being alive right now!! i am so so happy, i truly cant believe i actually found so much happiness, i am so so thankful and so so blessed for everything that is happening in my life and i really hope i continue receiving these blessings while i keep being faithful and giving back to others and to the world all the good my life has been giving to me... i wish to keep being passionate about things, i wish to keep seeing the world with all this wonder, i wish to keep acting out of love and kindness and truth, i wish to keep learning and growing from every encounter and every situation life sends on my way, i wish to keep taking good care of myself, i wish to stay focused on the present and cherishing it, heart open to anything that may come to me, ready to find true happiness in even the smallest details... oh i've never felt so happy before, i never believed i could be where i am today, feeling the way i feel, oh i wish i could hug my younger self and tell her how everything is really going to be okay!!! the world is falling apart but it still is SO beautiful and there are so many wonders to see!!! humanity is lost but i can still find so much hope and love and truth with the people around me!!! this is my only chance to be me, to exist here, as me. the only thing i can do is try my best to make myself happy, to make this life worth it, to make this existence beautiful. thank you thank you thank you!!!!

i'm kinda sad they got rid of the "shadow's purpose was to help cure maria's terminal illness" plot line. i don't think there's any implication she's chronically ill, even if not terminal? like i LOVE when ppl hc shadow as her emotional support alien or something to help with her illness, going that route more explicitly would've been awesome. like he still has the pain from losing his sister, but a major part of his trauma is the feeling that his only purpose never got fulfilled—Maria was terminally ill but died of completely preventable causes.

robotnik's npd coding really hit home this time; tossing aside the only person whos ever been there for him because he got familial attention, completely cutting off stone because he showed distrust in their plan?? hands in my pockets. god, eggman npd autism. none of you understand how much they mean to me as someone w/ suspected npd, they have a certain npd chosen person connection i canot explain to persotypical ppl

also the opening SA2 sonic line misses its hit when he's not, like..Sonic giving a silly one-liner slightly dissing on how incompetent the military is. 😭 does that make sense??? Like in movie they technically went on the helicopter of their own free will, i would be more down with it if they were blatantly threatened .? like G.U.N. has done before?? Like it misses WHY sonic said it, it's just mindless reference & felt forced as fuck LOL

LIKE the super scene hits because it has the same / similar hit to why SA2 was so impactful! i have a sp/in in sonic so im not immune to "THATS THE THING I KNOW" pointing at the screen with a big smile BUT direct references should be done for story impact rather than "that's the line" like the thing above; Shadow helping to save earth after coming to terms with trauma and such, fighting alongside Sonic after so long of Shadow feeling alone, striking a cool ass pose with him with some lighthearted bickering—THATS IMPACTFUL!! it's not just "THATS THE THING I KNOW THEY DID THE POSE" it's showing shadow's growth :) that goes for the use of live and learn, too! live and learn, you may never find your way 💖

ALSO the next movie is gonna be based on sonic CD it looks like !! im genuinely rlly excited to figure out how they work with that, considering all the future & past time warps being a major part of the game? i think it'd be a good idea to bring sonic '06 into the mix either the next movie or the movie after that, silver coming in during the whole time shenanigans would make sense!! maybe a good time to reveal shadows been alive and formed team dark in his own time bc i doubt they'd make a whole movie or miniseries for that? unless the next movie is gonna b based on sonic CD and sonic heroes...but amy should get her spotlight for a bit

No but i was thinking what are your thoughts on Neige being given nicknames in different languages (like how Casper calls him Zima ect.)? Bc ive been thinking about possible Neige nicknames in my native language (latvian!) And its been quite fun!

I even have some ideas:

- Ziema (means winter and is already very close to Zima so not really that unique)

- Sniegs (means snow and sounds pretty nice, can be turned into a pet name "sniedziņš" lol)

- Ledus (means ice and sounds very cold and brutal, doesnt exactly fit the character but still good)

- Sals (it means like frost or frostbite im pretty sure, sounds nice tho)

So yeah from now on i will be reffering to Neige as sniedziņš sometimes and no one can stop me.

I am glad you are having fun gnawing on this prehistoric boy. And yeah!! So, without getting too much into canon, anything wintery or cold themed is an appropriate thing to call Neige, based on the conventions used to name him elsewhere. It's all based on the 'cold' reputation of his blood.

I LOVE the idea of nicknaming him something to do with frostbite, bc he DOES bite, it's a very important thing about him. He's a lover and a biter. No bark, all bite, and so on and so forth.

Anyway YES you are absolutely right in the way you're nicknaming him!!

I really love playing with languages. English is my first language, Welsh is my second, and I also speak a handful of French and Russian. I also know a little grab-bag of words in Italian and Spanish, but not much, and a few words here and there of Czech, but like. VERY scant. Like I know stray bits of vocab, and that is all.

Languages are so fun, I love how they work and relate to each other, I love how when you start learning a new language it's like 'oh the whole way I think about using words is not the default, there are other structures, other systems, different ways to communicate about these objects and this world'. I love how languages are alive and fluid and they borrow and share and steal and give and change and exchange. I love how it's all about connecting with other people and even when the language barrier is a wall, eventually you will find a way to speak with each other, because that's what people do.

Ranking the Alien and Predator movies as I watch them for the first time.

Okay, before I start I just want to explain again that for years I've tried to get into the Alien movies, I've seen the first bit of Alien a few times when I've tried to watch them and I have seen all of Aliens but don't really remember it. I also watched Alien vs Predator a while ago and absolutely loved it. I'm also pretty sure I've seen the first bit of Predator maybe two times but never finished it, I've also seen Prey when It came out and really enjoyed that. So with the new Alien film coming out, and it looks SO GOOD! I thought I would actually sit down and properly watch the movies, and of course the Predator movies too. So enjoy!

Alien (1979) - The OG! Im sure if I saw this when it first came out it would have been an experience, unfortunately I wasn't alive then so, but I can very much appreciate the impact it had on audiences. A very good introduction to Ripley, and it was so nice to see John Hurt!! (Merlin OG here) Also Jonesy, I love you.

Aliens (1986) - Fav! I don't even have to finish the others, this is my favorite one. HICKS I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. It was just incredible and I can't even tell you why, wait yes I can! HICKS FLIRTING WITH RIPLEY. Justice for this little family! we should of had Ripley, Newt and Hicks as a little family unit going around a killing Aliens. We were ROBBED. Also the start of Bill Paxton cameos.

Predator (1987) - Amazing, very suspenseful and just a very good introduction to the Yautja. I also think the scenery and them being in a jungle was a very good choice, especially with the whole camouflage. Got very attached to Billy though which was a mistake, I mean I knew he was going to die but still was very upset when he actually died.

Predator 2 (1990) - Okay, let's get the good things out of the way first, Bill Paxton cameo part 2, he was so good! I wonder how he felt knowing he was one of only two actors to be killed by a Xenomorph, a Yautja and Terminator. Other than that this was terrible, I found it so hard to finish, I don;t know why but the atmosphere that was in the first one just wasn't here.

Alien 3 (1992) - What the actual hell was this?? First Killing Hicks and Newt, like??? HOW DARE YOU. But this movie just wasn't it. I will now refuse to acknowledge this movie exists. I was however surprised and felt quite sad about finding out about Ripley gaining an Alien in her chest during hypersleep and then killing herself so that the company couldn't have it.

Alien: Resurrection: (1997) - Just going to say this now, I don't know how I feel about the whole thing of Ripley being cloned, I felt it really took away from her sacrifice in Alien 3, But on the other hand Creepy Clone Ripley did grow on me. WINONA RYDER?! I love Call so much, I did not see that coming! I was so upset when she got shot. Also! (Robin Hood Prince of Thieves here!) Hi Michael Wincott! nice to see you again. Not going to lie, however I feel about the Cloning I did really enjoy this one, and was please to see it brought back some hope for me after Alien 3. Also the new Alien that came out of the queen, giving everyone puppy dog eyes and then just attacking them pahahha! Amazing.

Alien vs Predator (2004) - Now this is the movie that I remember seeing and loving and rewatching it just proved that I still loved it, The whole hidden pyramid was so interesting, and I'm really glad they did it like that. Not really much to say, I just really like this one.

AVPR: Alien vs Predator - Requiem: (2007) - I honestly don't remember most of this, not going to lie. Safe to say I didn't like it.

Predators: (2010) - Started to watch this but turned it off, I think i'm just going to stick with Predator, Alien vs Predator and prey.

Prometheus: (2012) - I did like this one! it was very different from the other Alien movies, wouldn't say it was one of my favs though.

Alien: Covenant: (2017) - This one unfortunately is going to the bottom of the list, did not like it at all.

Alien: Romulus: (2024) - ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS FILM. I really need to rewatch it but my god it was good! it very much felt like aliens did and i love that!

All in all I think the ones I will rewatch many times are Aliens, Alien; resurrection (I'll overlook the Ripley clone thing) and Alien; Romulus. Most definitely Aliens because Hicks I love you and I haven't stopped thinking about you! Also Joansey was the best character.

Okey so there were like 3 of endings I had idea for:

⊱ Neutral-Good An ending - which you had to always choose An over Akito and stand up for An when she fought with Akito

⊱ Neutral-Bad Akito ending - which you had to always choose Akito over An and stand up for him when he fought with An

⊱ Bad Akito ending - in which you either:

accepted both confession and then played favorites on An

accepted Akitos confession but your attention was always on An

You must ignore the fight between An and Akito!

Akito keeps you locked in his house. You're still free to move around it however you please, as long as you're not troubling him. An is alive but she has no way of getting to you since you're locked in his house.

Bad Akito ending

Akito killed An when you didn't knew. He'd gladly bring you her head as a gift but he knows you're sensitive... for some time, he thought it'd be enough... But no! So many other people are looking at you! And he can't have that so what's better way of keeping you safe than killing anyone who looks in your direction? Like that, he can be sure your attention is only on him~

Bad An ending

An isn't the type to kill someone but then again... he WAS getting in her way. She'll apologize to you for doing this but she also will repeat she had no other choice. She'll immidietly isolate your from outside world and her room sound perfect for that. Like that's you'll mostly be close, no matter what you're doing. Be nice and she might not use ropes~ And she wouldn't call it isolating, she calls it "protecting you from others".

So yeah, I hope you understood at least a little bit more and if you have any questions then don't be afraid to ask!

and SO TRUE !! i spent my childhood online. like i was on forums and shit when i was 6 ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;) i was in a very very bad situation and escaping onto the internet made me feel better. i could pretend not to be from my home there. but so many years spent on the internet without anything in real life that was good really made me worse in a lot of ways - like ... the internet was the only place people ever listened to me, let alone interacting with me out of choice. in my home, i wasn't treated as a person. my parents didn't even really use my name, the name they gave me, until i was older. but online people would say "hi ghost! how was your day?" and it made me feel real. but now i feel more real online than offline... and if i am real IRL, then that means all the bad stuff that happened to me IRL did happen. so i just sort of mentally shut it all down and i wish i wasn't this way but my brain is protecting itself or something. that's what i'm told anyways.

i miss quotev i practically lived there. most of my system THRIVED there, with the RP groups we could pretend to be in character and then just be ourselves, people would address us as ourselves and it was so affirming and it felt amazing to finally exist and matter to someone. we have an alter who is basically all digital, so we often see ourselves like a little sprite traveling through 0s and 1s and pixels out into the wide web !! it's fun but sometimes very lonely.

so i totally get what you're saying. if you were a tamagotchi i would put you on a keychain and take you out and about !! digital friends ٩(◕‿◕｡)۶

my review of guardians of the galaxy vol 3 that nobody asked for

⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️

Can i just say amazing amazing movie!!! It was weird tho because I did cry alot but I still don’t think i cried as much as i did when Yondu died I think its cuz there was alot of people in the theater so I was trying to hold back, either way tears still fell. This movie had a lot of body gore, like I knew Rocket ripped off his face but i did not expect to see it, (I lit had to cover my eyes for that part cuz nasty). And the part were Peter cut out that guy’s headpiece and then the monkey ripping the lady’s face, like some parts i felt were unnecessary, or rather they didn’t have to show it for so long but go off I guess 😂 Anyways I went into the theater expecting to like Quill more but actually I ended up liking everyone else more, I already liked quill ofc but idk seeing everyone interact with each other just made me happy, it was like seeing a family together and then the endinggggg they broke my family up 😭 but its good they get to do their own thing. Drax is a father again!!! MY HEART! Ugh and Mantis I honestly did not want them to split those two up because those two are my favorite together. I appreciated Adam Warlock’s parts they were pretty amusing but like doesn’t he still got some fam back at home, or the colony? Ughhh I was a mess when Rocket was seeing the light and he was like im ready to go and Lylla was like not yet! Yo the scream that Rocket gave when they died, chills. Also I love floor so cuteeeeee, she has my heart, i want a white bunny now. When Nebula, Drax, and Mantis were arguing and he seemed upset that Mantis thought he was stupid, I think that shows how highly he thinks of her opinions of him, because he doesn’t seem too upset when others call him that but when Mantis called him that it seemed to hit him, and the fact that mantis made him forget made me wonder how many times shes done that to him, had to make him forget so he’d just remain the happy funny man. When I was rewatching the second one I was thinking about Peter’s grandpa because he lost his own daughter and grandson in the same day so I appreciate how we revisited that, and my sister pointed out to me that the newspaper Quill is reading is about Kevin Bacon talking about being abducted by aliens so that’s a funny little detail. Back to Drax and Mantis I appreciate how we got to see there serious side, or more cooperating? (Idk if that’s the word i want to use) in this, because we’ve seen plenty of their silly sides so this was a nice little thing, and omg his metaphors/analogies that scene is a fave. I also appreciated how when they found out Rocket was alive Nebula was crying, we can see how much she cares for her friends she just doesn’t have the words but Mantis took over to express for her and I really liked that scene. It was really nice seeing how much Nebula has come to care for everyone, like the scene with Peter in the beginning. Okay now for Gamora — ughhhh I hate hate what’s happening with her and not just her and peter, that is terrible, but when i was rewatching the other guardians i kept noticing moments between her and Groot and the way she always protected him, and it all just sucks and I wish there was a way for her to get those memories back. And when se went back to the ravagers at the end she was grinning and happy and that made me so upset but it is what it is. Another random take that doesn’t have to do with this vol in particular but every time I see Groot i get sad because I don’t know about y’all but I love OG Groot. Don’t get me wrong i love now Groot, and we know its not the same Groot. But the other Groot was very caring, constantly thinking of others, like he seemed very sweet whereas this one is still young he seems immature which is fine because like i said they’re diff but OG just has a special place in my heart so im always sad when i think about him. Omg the little Yondu cameo was so precious, you go Kraglin! I know I said I might start writing for Quill but i don’t think that’s going to happen, frankly I think I really like Warlock after this 😂 but im not gonna write for him. That’s all i got

hello hello hello!!! it is time for doctor who rankings, this time, series 10!!!! disclaimer im just basically doing this for my own benefit and ALSO. i will probably disagree with myself the moment i post this so like. not definitive lmaoooo

1. Extremis (10x6) - i love love love this episode!! it's really good in my opinion, i like the flashbacks to Missy and the Doctor and i love the idea of the characters being in a computer simulation. having the doctor be blind is really interesting as well, and the monks look really cool (and creepy)!!

2. Oxygen (10x5) - this is such a brilliant story in my opinion, i love the plot throughout, it's really fun. i love the message it sends haha, and oh the spacesuits sort of coming alive is brilliant!! just really good all round i think

3. World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls (10x11/10x12) - this is one of my favourite finales!! the gravity thing is really interesting, bill's death is just HORRIBLE, and i just love the design of mondasian cybermen, i love the master and missy together, and i was so surprised to see the sweet little guy turned out to be the master!!! it was really cool. i love the doctor just doing his best to protect the kids, i just love doctor who for the kindness of it

4. Twice Upon A Time (10x0) - i really love this episode as well, it's really fun, and i love 12 and 1 together, although i do think the misogyny could've been left out, or at least it didn't have to be THAT excessive, but honestly, i wasn't too mad because it was really funny to see 12 and bill react to it lmao. otherwise it was cool, and i liked the twist of there not being an evil plan actually, and i LOVED the ending so much!!! and obviously 12's regeneration is brilliant

5. Thin Ice (10x3) - i really like this episode, i love 12 and bill together, stan 12 punching a racist. i love the orphans as well, they were adorable and i'm so glad they got to be safe. the sea creature was cool as well

6. The Return of Doctor Mysterio (10x0) - this is really funny lol, way better than i remembered honestly!! i enjoyed it throughout and just had such a great time. initially i didn't like the superhero aspect of it, but it definitely grew on me on a second watch, and it did make great comedy

7. The Eaters of Light (10x10) - this was a lot better than i remembered as well! i love bill and the romans, i love 12 and nardole, and i really enjoyed the story as well. also, "death by scotland" made me laugh lol, i love nardole

8. The Pyramid at the End of the World (10x7) - i like 12's struggle with his blindness, it was really interesting to see. i really liked that people were able to choose peace, go us, for once! but yeah, i loved seeing 12 try to figure out what to do without being able to see, and bill giving up the world just so he could live was so sweet actually, bill is just so amazing

9. The Pilot (10x1) - i REALLY love bill's introduction, she's brilliant from the first second, and i love that 12 is a professor, it suits him really well. i definitely like this episode, but it's not among my favourites. still, decent doctor who, and i LOVE how bill asks so many questions lol

10. Knock Knock (10x4) - i liked seeing bill with her friends, and honestly, i kinda hope we could've seen more of them :( also, seeing hercule poirot suddenly appear was wild lmao. yeah, i like this story, actually, it's fun and it's pretty creative. not a favourite for me, but i enjoyed watching it

11. The Lie of the Land (10x8) - i like that bill was able to keep her memory, she's brilliant. once again love 12, bill and nardole together, but i'm not a fan of the fake regeneration honestly. either way, really enjoyable for the most part i think, but not my favourite episode

12. Smile (10x2) - i like bill and 12, this is a great second adventure for them, i like the robots, they're pretty fun. i don't think i'd rush to rewatch this, but it was nice enough and i don't really have real complaints about it, not bad but not the best either

13. Empress of Mars (10x9) - definitely my least favourite from the series, it's not as bad as i remembered, but it's. not very good, i don't think. it's a bit boring, and i think i've maybe mentioned, not sure, but mark gatiss' writing just usually isn't for me, not sure why not. yeah, i liked bill and 12's discussions and i liked the captain and i liked that the ice queen didn't kill him, but i think this was just a bit boring and not that interesting
