Me: *has checked 'female' on every form I've ever done
Also me: didn't touch a skirt for most of my childhood (including wearing a suit to primary school prom), passed out when I learned what periods are, spent years starving myself to get rid of my boobs and hips and stop my period from happening, has tried every form of birth control to stop having periods because I cannot cope with them, has shaved my head three times, is kinda considering top surgery, always wished I was six feet tall and has spent the last 25 years feeling like im failing at womanhood cus i dont really understand what it is
............. Oh no

My problem with gender is that it's in my head and my brain doesn't trust me and I don't trust it either

We have once more entered the season of other people being confused about my gender and me also being confused about my gender and enjoying us all being on the same page

Everytime someone asks my pronouns I panic, cause someone assuming she/her is fine, but saying it feels like a betrayal to myself.

Mentioned I was non binary during a conversation earlier this week. Someone I've loved my whole life, who claims to love me, looked me in the eye, face screwed up with disgust, and said, 'You have mental problems - you know that, right?'
You can only see how little their love is worth when you refuse to be what they want you to be.
I will not be bullied into silence. I will not conform.
Why should I be uncomfortable for the sake of their comfort, when they feel free to insult and invalidate me openly, even smugly?
No. No. No. I won't.
To every single person who thinks they get to decide who the fuck I am - or who anyone else is, for that matter - Go. Fuck. Yourselves.
And to anyone else who's facing this kind of bullshit - Don't let them tell you you're the problem. You aren't. They are.

I want to go to a gay bar
However I do not want to go to a gay bar because I do not, nor will I ever, drink alcohol. I do not particularly want to be around drunks.
So instead of a gay bar, I propose a Queer Cat Cafe.
Hypoallergenic cats ofc
There's a section of the cafe where the cats can't go if you don't want cats near you. That section is the library.
There are lil pride flags everywhere, even the obscure ones.
They sell pride pins for £1.50ish each at the counter.
There are LED lights.
It's autism friendly, lights can be toned down if needed and everything is neatly spaced out
You can have a sticker to write your pronouns on
Mostly queer artists/songs played
feel free to add on

The biggest thing that should have told me I'm not generally perceived as a woman by people who know me is that not one but TWO men asked me out and then came out as gay afterwards and an uncountable amount of straight women has told me they'd make an exception for me. I have the soul of a dude and I am so definitely 100 percent NOT cis gender.

[SCENE: driving back from my appointment]
dad: ...am I going to have to teach you how to shave?
me: uh yeah! at some point, lol
dad: hm. well I can show you the way I prefer, with mug soap and a brush, because the aerosol cans are just no. I showed your brother my way and he likes it a lot better too...
dad: [rambles for a bit]
dad: ...it's really just another chore, you look in the mirror and go 'ugh I have to shave soon' so it's just one of those things you do every once in a while
me, externally: haha yeah, I can't wait :]
me, internally: he's talking about this like it's no big deal, it's not weird at all,,, he doesn't mind the idea of teaching me despite the fact that he never expected to be doing this with me,,,, he's my dad and he supports me even if he doesn't completely get it,,,

Why are trans men constantly gaslit about our lived experiences?
We try to talk about how we’re denied reproductive care and are treated as others in gynecological spaces. We should not be outliers or things of ridicule or disgust in these spaces. These are spaces where we should be welcomed like any cis woman would be. We are treated like this even when we need gynecological care because we are trans men.
We try to talk about how TERFs oversexualize us while infantalizing and talking down to us. They act like they have ownership of our bodies, and like we need them to guide us to “accepting” ourselves as women. They do this because we are trans men. People have started calling them TWERFs instead, because they like to believe that we are included on behalf of TERFs wanting to change our minds and bodies, and claiming that they will have open arms for us when we’re “done with our phase.” (Being sexualized is especially true of straight trans men. Gay trans men will be constantly subjected to fatphobic stereotypes, and plenty of things that are just “LIBERAL SJW,” misogynistic stereotypes turned around and used against someone who it’s slightly more acceptable to hurt. This is okay to so many people because we are trans men.)
When we point out any ways that we face oppression, we have 500 people screaming that another group has it worse. Depending on the group, they claim that we’re either privileged men or privileged little girls complaining about nothing.
There is no way for us to win in society’s eyes. We are constantly silenced and spoken over, even by some of our siblings. Trans men deserve to be respected. Trans men deserve to be understood. Trans men deserve to be accepted.
Trans men deserve to be believed.

Transgender allegory? In my digital circus? It's more likely than you think...
Edit: I know they cannonically use any pronouns, I meant that their relationship with body dysmorphia is not about being trans. They feel uncomfortable in a body that is not theirs, and this narrative is often used by trans people to describe their discomfort with their body. In Zooble's case, they are trapped in a digital avatar. That is why I called it an allegory, since Zooble's dysphoria is not directly about being trans.

if you have nonbinary friends , please ask them what their personal gender looks like to them before assigning your idea of nonbinary to them . not all nonbinary people use they/them , not all nonbinary people are gender neutral , not all nonbinary people are genderless , not all nonbinary people are androgynous , some people under the nonbinary umbrella dont even call themselves nonbinary . the whole thing about nonbinary is that its not a set thing . it's not another box , its a placeholder for a billion unique experiences
