being twenty one pilots stan is literally everything you could ever dream of because it's only one band with two guys and yet this is what we get:

they make us laugh a lot because they are super silly most of the time

they make us cry a lot because their music is so deep, sad and relatable

they are both insanely talented

they are both extremely good looking which is a fun bonus

they are incredible performers and their live music is very often better than studio versions of their songs

they will always give you 100% during their shows (even if that means jumping with broken leg, tyler you stupid idiot)

most of their albums have no skips

they are your favourite "famous" guys

they are also your favourite fictional characters because they have their own tv show (the lore)

they are both the most stupid idiots but also the most intelligent guys at the same time which is crazy

their friendship is truly inspiring

they never take anything for granted, they love the clique and they constantly remind us of how much we mean to them

Hey so wait a minute.

In Fionna and Cake, in the vampire world, Bubblegum tells Marceline that the population has crashed and the vampires are doomed too. (I.e., all the humans are going to die out leaving the vampires with no food supply, and they'll also die out.) But Adventure Time vampires don't drink blood specifically, they eat different shades of red. Most vampires that aren't Marceline just drink blood anyway because they're dicks. And the entire landscape of vampire world was different shades of red for aesthetic purposes. They were basically living in a landscape made of food.

I mean it still blows because everyone else will die and then it's just a dead world of asshole vampires sucking on fungus and rocks, but like, they'd be fine. If you came to that world 100 years later you'd think it was just the Vampire Dimension where everyone had always been vampires with one (1) pissed off butch Bubblegum standing in the corner.

my browser tumblr is broken and I cannot seem to fix it. cleared cookies, updated browser, updated addons... but when I try to reply to stuff, it tells me I'm not authorized, it doesn't ever show my activity unless I actively check it, and my 'home' is always stuck on 2 new notifs no matter how much my timeline has on it, and clicking on it doesn't clear it.

Yongasabi, Slugcat language of the Rain World Undergrowth AU

Yongasabi originally started as an attempt to turn Rain World's glyphs into a functioning writing system for the slugcats, and that eventually inspired me to make a language for the writing system to support. As it grew, it became increasingly intertwined with my own ideas for Rain World worldbuilding, and my own project, the Undergrowth AU.

Now I'm publicly opening my language to the Rain World fandom! Seven months of work from start to the official release, with fully functioning grammar and over 1500 documented words just at the time of writing this post, I'm excited to finally release this language for other people to view, and potentially even use.

Note that Yongasabi is made with the Undergrowth AU (which is an anthro AU) in mind. It presupposes that the slugcats are humanoid, and their technological development is further along than in the game. Despite that, the language should be otherwise applicable to regular slugcats.

While Yongasabi has been developed through the lens of my own projects (Rain World Undergrowth AU and its worldbuilding) and understanding of Rain World's themes and lore, it's something I want to be accessible to the entire community. Consider it something of a gift. Anyone has permission to use Yongasabi in their projects—credit would be appreciated, and I would actually be so excited if you messaged me to let me know what you were doing. I think depictions of Anya being cruel to Curly or drawing out his suffering are artful and chilling but completely miss the point of the story and her character.

I'm not saying she doesn't deserve to have that "I told you so" moment with him but not in something callous or cold. Even if that is how it happened, she'd immediately feel guilty cause at that point she's not tormenting her tormenter or even the person truly at fault. She's doing something cathartic, similar to how Jimmy likely hits Curly to release rage he can't against the rest of the crew. She'd see herself as no different when she'd come back from the moment and see Curly cowering at her. She wants someone to take responsibility but how does being cruel to the defenseless help? Why would she want the power Jimmy has over her over Curly?

The idea of her extending someone else's pain is just so against the struggles she already faces and how she can't even bring herself to cause someone pain even to help them. Her very desire is to release herself from her own suffering and I doubt she'd even fine some sort of guilty release in being cruel to another.
