I feel like Simon was the most excited when Dave adopted them at the end of The Road Chip, because like then it was all official and legal and everything.

I mean Theodore literally already called him dad in the first movie. And definitely in Chipwrecked for sure, Dave was very much being a parent to Alvin. I just think Simon probably didn't really feel much like a son of Dave, until they were actually legally adopted, while the other two already felt like it was pretty official anyway.

5th alvin and the chipmunks movie (chipmunks: world tour) where they perform with hatsune miku. i know they are on the no fly list i do not care. can be a plot device. i also maybe want them to perform at a furry convention for the shits and giggles (theodore cannonically very afraid of fursuits if they are animals that can eat him. maybe the furries can help them on their journey).

I’m never going to be able to stop thinking about how each of the movies in the original aatc cgi trilogy were each better than the one before them. like oh my fucking god okay they all had an important focus; aatc 1 was the development of Dave’s parental relationship with the boys, the squeakquel introduces the girls and explores the concept of feeling “out of your element” in terms of being fundamentally different from your peers as well as trying out new experiences you aren’t yet used to, and I’m going to fucking explode okay chipwrecked’s character arcs for Alvin and Simon are literally phenomenal okay. no LISTEN to me alright Simon being BIT BY A BUG and losing all of his inhibitions and acting the way he has subconsciously always wanted to act is literally so fucking mindmelting to me I love it so much. and Alvin having to step in and take over as the responsible one for a change is so !!!!!!!!! so very!!!!!!!! I don’t even KNOWWW okay but it’s so well-done. and not just those two, but the girls get such solid characterizations as well; it’s such a good movie 😭❤️💕✨

I can’t tell if I prefer how they look in the first movies or the road chip, I know it’s an improvement technically which looks satisfying but sometimes they look more uncanny to me when the chipmunk/ettes are smoother or fluffier (and the chipmunks noses are pinker in the last movie). I wish there were more good shots of the chipettes in the road chip.
