multiples of 7 for the character asks for bo!! <3
7. what quality do they like the least about themselves?
OOF. WHAT A WAY TO START. i think theres a Lot about himself bo doesn't like and he's still coming to terms with what a lot of that means like. In Context. of like. Everything. but i think Right Now the thing he doesn't like the most is that he makes people sad. because he can Tell but he also cant Help It and he's trying to find the balance between. opening up. and making people Worry about him. because he!!! does not want to affect the people he cares about in a negative way!!! its fine if they do that to him but not the other way around. he's not supposed to take up space <3
14. do you have a favourite conversation that they’ve had with another character? briefly describe it!
i definitely have favorite conversations with the pcs, but i think my favorite conversation with an npc was when they were in the book and bo got. a little mad. at bubba. for not just working things out with ezzy. and yelled at him a wittle bit. just bc i think that was like a Turning Point for bo of like. maybe the first time he ever acted selfishly towards someone? and knew he was acting selfish and said it anyway? and just being like. actually me and rosie deserve a full family so why cant you get your shit together. which like. in hindsight with everything we know about them now, Harrowing for bubba, but it was also bo like. showing he felt safe enough with bubba to get upset at him? bc that's pretty rare for bo
21. without revealing any secrets, how much of your character’s backstory does the rest of your party know about? 20%? 75%? 0%?
i mean. broad strokes, 100%. there's always going to be little details to flesh out, but bo backstory was pretty simple and didn't get changed at all from original version to now. all the nuance that's come with it has come from hollis. i didnt know jack shit about bubba or him and eabha's relationship or the rangers or anything. i found out In Game with everyone else (madly affectionate)
28. what is something that helps to comfort them?
talking to kai <3 kai is really good at both grounding him but also making him like. actually deal with stuff so he gets it out of his system. he's used to being like. oh i'm upset. gonna bury this forever. but kai is like. okay bud we're gonna talk through it and then chill out and bo is like wait huh this actually helps?? wild
35. pick a character that they know. what is something that they do that your character finds annoying/frustrating?
flip side of that,,, less annoying and more frustrating / concerning but. kai not eating well <3 bo is such a big food guy and like. is so used to people showing care through food. and so kai will stress bo needs to take care of himself because he deserves to feel good and then will have like. an iced coffee for breakfast and not eat again for 8 hours and it drives bo insane. he doesn't understand how they can be so in tune with things emotionally and also expect so much from their body and fighting abilities and then not take care of it right
42. how similar is your character to you?
MEAN QUESTION. i think more similar than i would like to admit but not as similar as i would fear. i think we have some good traits in common and some bad traits in common and some hangups in common but overall we have fairly different like. cores. and life experiences, obv. it is sometimes hard for me to play bo cause im like noooooo i dont want to say this but its what bo would say!!! it what bo would think!!!! im very much a Character Actor as a player and me and bo differ. A Lot in how we go about the world

I started watching deca-dence
1: oh what was that called. there’s a name for this tech aesthetic.... also the city is floating on monster goo which is also their energy resource... is that really a good design?????? why is there open access to the monster goo i mean those kids are totally going to fall in. Oh boss dude’s a super secret agent thing. lots of reveals this ep. That action sequence at the end was really cool but wow i do not like those squishing sound effects. also, of all the livestock to raise, why cows??? per pound of protein, cows are horribly inefficient especially when land and resources like water are scare.
2. We have a post apocalyptic society and they kept bagpipes of all things??? I’ve noticed this in fiction and perhaps this is true of real life but sustained conflict coincides with the glorification of the warrior/soldier social class. oh god and now the creators are doing a post moderist take, yay capitalism. this is a good take on the isekai “transported to a game world”/mmo lightnovel genre (see past post). what makes something “real” I was playing of a ttrpg around that concept... mikey’s got all the flags to die horrifically and be part of kaburagi’s tragic backstory. lol kaburagi got turned into a mod. There’s also something dehumanizing and horrifying in managing a society like this all to maintain the status quo. so let’s see if I have this straight, the remnants of capitalism made deca-dence and then a bunch of little robot people who are incentivized via a game system to destroy the squishy monsters. the city design makes sense now it wasn’t made with things like safety or efficiency or any regard for the residents in mind, it was made to look cool. Living in a fuel tank is exactly the type of bullshit to expect from a videogame.
3: kurenai has the vibes of that one cool npc that the the main character out grows to show how strong you’ve become. (the trope is rife with misogyny. who was the one that talked about it? ... femfreq?), wonder what the show will do with it. good job deconstructing the instant expert trope. lit. unregulated capitalism. what is corporations replaced government but for little cyborg people. curious about this minato guy. the 175 years until decommission or whatever makes me wonder how long all of this has been going on. on the screen with the eurasia bubble, were other structures, so i wonder whats happening elsewhere in the world.
4. the game trailer style shots.... the juxtaposition of the tankers discussing battle strategy for a life or death situation, with the cyborgs excited for the next raid event and talking about the game’s story is real good. its a revolving door of mood whiplash. oof dramatic irony since the entertainment corp also seems to control gadoll numbers. Why do none of the Power wear armor? oh right aesthetics and game logic, i answered my own question. I was thinking about this for a little while but kaburagi really does have the set up to be an isekai/mmo light novel protag so I’m really glade we have natsume as well. If done improperly her character type can get kind of annoying, the show did a good job of humanizing her which is important since so much of the disconnect between a game world and a lived reality hinges on her. why isn’t altitude sickness a problem for anyone?
5. yikes. saved twice within the first 10 minutes. maybe dont charge in there natsume. and it was the cool lady too! oh shit limit release. now the stakes are up. isnt kaburagi totally going to get his little head chopped off and the his little green battery extracted.
...
...
...
6. I’ve always had a soft spot for the struggle against the inevitable and unmovable. i was wondering how they were managing the squishies population. just where is this lake? what weird ass hazing system has kaburagi ended up in... is this the slow part of the anime? where they save up frames for the finale?
7. i just realized that kaburagi purposefully chose dog faced characters twice in a row. like he can choose to look like whatever he wants and he good, i feel comfortable looking like this. good for him. How did they punch a hole in the wal anyways, mechanically? with gadoll? We’ve see that they can either change the projection surrounding deca-dence, or actually have full control of all material int he bubble. oh kabu-san you are finally starting to think. but its not the gadoll that are the root of the problem, its the deca-dence system. btw since cyborgs run on the green juice which i think is made from gadolls??? how does kabu plan on fueling everyone. he hasn’t thought about it has he. of course the gadoll have a kill switch. do the tankers have one...?
8. a setup episode. my heart was racing during the avatar retrieval part, so much tension. jill is great. not sure why kaburagi doesnt just tell natsume whats going on. i do think it’d be a shock and a lot to take in just like when the gadoll reset on the mountain, but it’d make coordinating much easier. as is taking her along while not telling her whats going on doesnt feel right. also the green slanty eyed cyborgs given me bad vibes from the start, after all he’s the one that told mikey about removing the limiter. I’m kinda sad we only have 12 episodes so we have to enter the finale already. i would have loved to see the tanker teams, natsume and fei, and minato and kaburagi relationships fleshed out.
9. YEAH YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER EARLIER. so she would have time to process all that world shaking information not in the middle of the operation when it could cost her her life! also doesn’t this mean all the cyborgs still alive are now trapped in the waste disposal place.
10. i totally forgot about that tunnel. that said it looks kinda fragile, how’d it survive the explosion? And how did the robo crew get a hideout?? jill is amazing. she’s like a wizard. Natsume just doesn’t get a break, no ones explained to her the cyborg-avatar thing. I’m too invested in this show to analyze anything.
11. holy shit i wonder what the last few episodes were going to be about. they’re going to black hole the whole place. also we can finally hear pipopi! I thought it a bit funny pruple nose seemed to be taking advice for them but really eh was taking orders? so minato did the tremendously stupid thing of logging out and then hopping on a shuttle to get from orbit to deca-dence so he could talk to kaburagi face to face. even if they take out the gadoll, that doesn’t stop the deca0dence system from having a kill switch on the bubble.
12. POMDOROSA DID THE END SCENE ART. it really is 7 degrees of separation, they have a tumblr here. right as the natsume flashbacks started, I knew what was going to happen. Was it really safe inside the drill thing?? ah whatever. Kaburagi really went all out and busted himself huh. He probably didn’t actually need to use so much force that it’d break decadence. ah I’m rambling. I binged watched this show in 1 day. i started tearing up at the natsume flahsbacks... I dont remember what i just watched it was pure experience. I do wonder whats happening on other continents.. Jill! I can’t believe it took you 3 years to organize your files and find kaburagi’s backup! well i mean its realistic but still.
Deca-Dence is very good, like not even talking about the thematic stuff the execution in both animation and writing are both really good.

wonderland - fmdverification self para.
date: sometime in 2016. character(s) involved: byungwook (an npc actor.) about: full writing verification for wonderland. after getting his heart broken by a toxic guy, even though he was never actually with this person, he still can’t help but to feel the sting a little bit. he writes a song at sunrise about be afraid of loving in that way (obviously until kai came along but he doesn’t know that yet) and never exploring the wonderland of a guy like byungwook again, thus exploring a different land. he writes a letter to his next crush, making a bit of a love song. trigger warnings: n/a. notes: again, not due till like sept 2021 but we’re getting em done 8 months early lets go!! i have not written about this man in a really long time, but here we all it came to me. also changed the concept of writing this like 5 times and im still unsure if it makes sense for this song. also not this taking me 10 hours to write. word count: 1,213.
it wasn’t something that was real, it was something that was incredibly far from being close to real. but, there was a connection, and his heart was so into it. it wasn’t love, duri wasn’t in love - but, it felt so nice, and he liked byungwook a lot. they didn’t do anything, besides for spend time together, and really just cuddle. but, still, it was really nice, and then, byungwook went and broke his heart into pieces; made duri feel terrible, and was rather mean to him, just to break things off. duri couldn’t quite understand or even grasp what happened, but he was upset, he was heart broken, and just wanted to not remember anything about byungwook, as well as what could have been potentially had. why was duri constantly played? why did these people who wanted to start a relationship with him treat him so terribly? maybe, it’s just something that wasn’t for him. he decided he wasn’t going to have any crushes anymore (that was a lie and soon enough, he would realize his feelings for someone, but that was something completely unknown and a look into the future.) but, he knew how to deal with it, early that morning, was to go sit on the rooftop with his notebook. he dressed a bit warmer for the cool morning before heading up to the rooftop of where knight’s dorm was located. he made it in perfect timing because the sun was just starting to rise, making the dark canvas turn to orange and velvet blue. there was an odd comfort seeing the sky begin a new day. he decides to write a letter to his next crush, the next person he has feelings for. he wasn’t going to let byungwook take that away from him, it was incredibly foolish. so, he wrote the letter to his next crush, the next person that he would have feelings for.
he wrote about being found, and moves into talking about the sunrise that’s in front of him. it gave something to the song and he couldn’t help but to draw the inspiration from the sunrise. it felt prettier today, than usual, and he wanted to appreciate it. so, he made a small ode to it in the lyrics of the song that he’s currently writing. he also mentions being afraid of loving someone, a line he writes twice - he was simply afraid of being hurt again, something that he really couldn’t help, to say the least. he decides to talk about being scared that they’re going to disappear, right before his eyes (something that he definitely feels, scared of losing people.) he moves on to talking about doing something lovingly, a tracing of the face with fingers. something he likes, something that would make him happy - more words that he had written down to convey his message. he thinks maybe it’s something, two lines that he writes down. before saying he has something to show whomever it is and if they’re like it, will they kiss him, as well as the fact that it’ll be a sweet secret. when they sing, their love will not stop. pen tapping against where he was sitting, looking over the sky once more. before he’d look back to the notebook to begin writing again, he asks them to tell him what they want and he decides to take a guess. but, what is it that he would guess? a wondering thought enters his mind. he starts as to when the tears become the tears - something that he’s able to relate to, as a lot of the time, tears fell at night for him, and he let them go into the night as stars. but, he tells this crush that he needs them like the sun, because that’s what he’s sure it’ll feel like. but, he also hopes it’s not a dream. after he had written that stuff down, he would write down words that had already been written, something that acted as the chorus of sorts for the song.
his pen goes back to tapping as he thinks of where to take the song next, where he wants his song letter to go. it was hard, because he wasn’t entirely sure how to express it. but, he was trying to look at it from the perspective of having a crush that you want to kiss because he wasn’t going to let byungwook take away his ability to crush upon someone because he simply has too much love to give; it was only fair for him to also be able to do so crush wise, as well. so, he takes the pen back to writing, where he talks about falling upon his knees, and there’s something he really needs to say before the night comes to an end; letting the words that describe those thoughts come out upon paper. he writes two lines for the chorus, giving it some oomph - some sort of charm, in a way. after that, he moves into asking for a promise for an eternal love; something that he’s really hoping to get lucky with during his next crush, tired of getting hurt multiple times over. he promises to give them his everything in the song, as best as he really could. he asks them to answer him, giving another promise that it’ll be good. it started nice and there was only hope that he was lucky his next go around, that he wouldn’t be broken hearted once again. he also adds in “baby” as it was truly a favorite romantic pet name. then, he moves on to saying that he wants to show them something tonight, that he’ll kiss them now, and that it’ll be a romantic secret. it seemingly was something he’s mentioned before, but he thought it was cute in a way. that portion sounded good, but he knew that he had yet to be done with the song.
he writes a few more lines that he’s already written, just to make it flow differently. then, he moves onto talking about, underneath that surface, there being something bigger... something that’s even bigger than himself and the other person. that could probably be something about both having a big crush and a romance that they can’t see, since it’s sat underneath a surface they can’t seem to get to. he writes about giving it a bit of a time space, to see if they can figure it out. as well as giving it a little energy, just to see. this is when he starts referencing a wonderland, writing those words down. he writes a few things written before, before writing new words. he mentions that he’ll never “wonderland” again, meaning he’ll never think of byungwook again, that that land is completely done, shut off, something he’s completely done with. that’s when he writes down the verse he wrote perviously again to finish up the song. upon doing that, he goes through again to check the song, and when he’s happy, the book closes.
he simply stays there, awaiting for the sun to fully come up, and change the sky to a bright blue, and to shine down upon them. he felt good, the new chapter was ready.

Hello yes I would like the full rundown on It's A Wonderful Life a la Eugene Riverworth (I once helped my DM spec out alignment-reversed versions of our entire party, alt universe characters are near and dear to my heart)
ALRIGHT SO IT'S CATASTROPHIC AMOUNTS OF CONTEXT TIME
Sorry I took so long, I've just spent most of my week trying not to turn into a puddle of goo. I accidentally listened to Mr Blue Sky today, however, and the last verse sucker-punched me into finishing this.
...At some point, I'm going to take my google doc of garbage notes with no filter and turn them into a coherent campaign recap to hand out to people. But for now, here's this definitely-more-than-a-snippet-snippet.
Alright so, to start with, we have an NPC friend named Rothwin. He's a goth wood-elf wizard with a deep, deep set guilt complex about how many people he's known that have died. His mother, due to a dragon attack, and he recently discovered, his little sister, due to the mafia said dragon runs. His twin brother was recently thralled by Mind Flayers, and we've been trying to track him down. He also had a particular bond (I don't have all the details, but he gave him an enchanted knife and a letter) with our halfling assassin, Tasher, who was disintegrated back at lv 8 by a possessed Eugene. He let the possession happen on purpose, to try to get the upper hand in a fight with our warlock's patron, but the thing he gave himself over to was not at all inclined to give Eugene's body back. This chain of events also led to the kidnapping of Rothwin's brother. There's a reason we call him the "trashwizard".
Anyway, Rothwin. Rothwin is the hero child that wants to fix everything. Guilt complex from here to the moon. He's also a slightly higher level wizard than us, a lv 14 party, and he's recently spent a LOT of time scribing studiously in his spellbook. Because Eugene is a nosy little man, he actually got a glimpse at the spell he was working on: Wish.
So, the night after Rothwin's brother is captured, we hang around and try to comfort him. He seems oddly alright, and tells us that he thinks things will be looking up, soon.
When we awake, the world is different, none of us know any of the others, we remember nothing of the world before, and Rothwin has erased the dragon that tore his family apart, over 200 years ago. In the process, the circumstances did not arise where Tasher died.
The original Eugene left home at 17 to seek his fortune, and, finding that to be a very hard task, gradually lowered his standards over the course of a decade until he became the glitzy mountebank in the pointy hat we all know and love.
This new Eugene never had that chance to be a con man. If he did swindle, it would have only been a brief stint of the minor, hunger-induced infractions of the very beginning of his career. He had a pretty similar childhood and departure. Instead, he was recruited by this universe's much more prosperous version of the Mage's Guild (run by Rothwin's mother), an agent of whom saw some element of talent in him. So for the past ten years, he's made his name as an Illusionist of mild note, a full wizard rather than a rogue multiclass, and slowly moving up the Guild's ranks. He'd just been promoted, even. He's Neutral-Good-aligned, as opposed to the original True Neutral, and though his base traits remain the same (including: sociable, vain, ambitious, indulgent, a bit foolish), they're dialed up to different degrees. This Eugene is a genuinely sweet person, in a slightly fussy and oblivious kind of way, and actually allows himself to get attached to people. Which happens easily, and strongly. He hasn't had any need to shut that part of himself down. He has a Simulacrum named Snowy, and understands what birds are (running joke in the campaign, his familiar is exactly one pint of screech owl and summoning medium-sized birds has never been successful).
Eugene's youngest sister, in the original timeline, was a warlock of the Raven Queen. She quickly began having visions of the way fate was originally supposed to play out, and together they were able to research what might have happened and start to contact the old partymembers. Everyone arrived, and started getting flashbacks of the events of the campaign. We fought some old enemies who were defeated in the original world, including the devil that set off so much catastrophe, and a mad wizard who here had managed to imprison the guy who can fix this.
We managed to short out this wizard's magical abilities with a Counterspell, triggering the source of his stolen power to take over his body to see what the hell was going on. The Whispered One, known more commonly (though not in this campaign. His name is a pricey secret after all) as Vecna. We met him once in the original timeline too, he's how Rothwin found out his sister was dead, and was responsible for the warlockifying of an artificer. (it was almost the original Eugene, but the depressed cat got in there first, also, selfishly, a warlock multiclass would have screwed over his spell slot situation too much)
Between people starting to get flashbacks (flashsidewayses?), logical deductions, and a free trial of information from the Whispered One, we realize IC what's happened and what we'd be going back to, and how to set things back to exactly square one.
Everyone gets... Maybe a little too into the RP at this point. There's a lot of philosophy and metaphysics. There's also a lot of upset when we realize who doesn't survive the original course of fate. We try to figure out if it's possible to put it back the same but just a little different, and realize that someone is here with the power to do so, but the Whispered One is not going to budge unless we give him a secret as payment. Changing fate to save a life (possibly more), would likely require a more costly secret than average. Also, we as players aren't just going to shortchange VECNA. We like being alive (Sure we will piss off the Raven Queen, but that's fine, we'll burn that bridge when we get to it). Also dramatic gestures are more narratively satisfying. Eugene's mental state is a fascinating concoction of self-loathing, existential dread, cunning bastard, hero wannabe, "hey I've known this party longer than anyone except my family and former business partner" + "I will admit I care about people". Some solutions are proposed, the Dragonborn Paladin has a book from her backstory, the Assassin has god secrets...
And Eugene, filled with guilt and distaste for tragedy and fondness for Tasher and a complicated infatuation towards Rothwin and all the trappings of a moral person, realizing for absolute certainty that all that he's become, worked for, and hoped for in this life, MUST be overwritten by someone he can't stand, and knows won't be able to stand him... Suggests that what is more secret than a life that could have been, and never could have been, lived? His own existence could not only amount to something, but actually be preserved in some capacity in the Whispered One's library.
This is immediately, though with some surprise, accepted by the Whispered One. "In all my years and years, I've never had a whole person a secret before..." A portal into a dark room with pinpoints of green light inside opens, and all he has to do is step through, and Rothwin will be given the power to re-cast Wish to bend the world back to the way it was-... While having fixed that which can be fixed. There's a bit of devolving back into Philosophy here, people trying to stop him or suggest simpler secrets, but knowing this might lead anywhere except causing more stress and the risk of him chickening out, Eugene steps through the portal.
Cassie, who had been watching him intently since the deal was proposed, gives the world's smallest "...wait" at the exact moment it's too late. Rothwin is given a green glowing rune, and casts Wish again.
The party wakes up right where they left off before all this happened, with no memory of what transpired. Eugene seems no worse for wear, and has gone back to accidentally persecuting the local introverts. Tasher washes up on the beach where we scattered his ashes, remembering only the other world and feeling a compulsion to seek out the place where we might be going next, and the devil we fought... Is present on the material plane again, somewhere.
So yeah. The man can’t go one timeline without yeeting himself headfirst into shady eldritch nonsense in a bid to find a Third Option. But this time having fixed the problems he created by all the previous times he’s done it. RIP good!Eugene, you were too pure to exist without the universe breaking. This is absolutely going to come back to bite me in the ass and I have no idea how my DM will have it do so.
#hey why did the readmore screw up? the readmore should be lower#damn it tumblr#it refuses to let me change this#anyway long post ahead#my posts#anonymous#answered#Eugene Riverworth#should tag the campaign at some point

Anyway, here’s Galateotta, Thanatophobic Elven Necromancer searching for a way to stop death, first world wide, next only for a chosen few after “learning her lesson” and understanding that some people, actually, deserve to die and go to their dumb afterlives, least we fucked up the world in the process, 25 and looking like death warmed over already, charming woman this one.
She dies her hair red from their natural grey color. The eye markings are allegedly body paint actually she’s putting it on to hide the heavy bags under her eyes.
She was the loving and carefree daughter of a two Altmer tailors in the Imperial City. One day her dads sent her off with a courier to a friend of theirs in Anvil for a couple days, seemingly because they need to make a business trip and need someone to keep her for a while, but once Galateotta arrives in Anvil the Thalmor Emissary arrives to the Imperial City with the heads of the Blades in the Summerset Isles, starting the great war.
Her dads die during the Culling, the mass extermination of the population of the imperial city at the hands of Lord Narafiin, the Thalmor General leading the Imperial Front of the war, in order to break reality and fracture the veil within dimension, so to seemingly have the Thalmor achieve godlike power and allowing the daedra to once again invade Mundus.
The Culling fails, stopped officially by Titus Mede II wielding Goldbrand, actually a “forgotten” shezzarine pretending to be him, killing Narafiin, the fulcrum of the ritual, before reality can shatter, but the imperial city is still sacked and its population completely exterminated, Galateotta’s dads among them.
(What a MAJESTIC PR Move on Boethia’s part BTW. She supports the Thalmor all but directly for the entirety of the war, gives Narafiin dremoras, atronachs, cultist, support of the most various kind, direct and indirect help, helps him find the Orb of Vaermina and convinces Vaermina to let him have it... Then, right at the end, when she finds out a Shezzarine is near and Narafiin is about to fall, he lets them kill Reive, doesn’t recall the sword nor the Dremora Lord to her realm, so Reive dies like a chump and the Sword is conquered by the Forgotten Hero, and Boethia can go: “See, even in the darkest of times I sided with the good side, the one who didn’t want the world to explode, aren’t I the best?” Truly, the mistress of plots and ruler of subterfuge that one).
Anyway, stuck in Anvil, thankfully away from the front lines, Galateotta is deeply traumatized. The “family friend” bails on her, and she’s now alone in the street, a young urchin and orphan of a war that made far too many urchin and orphans. The local chapel of Dibella takes them in, or tries to take as many as they can, a orphanage being built as fast as they can, but she’s a Altmer, and so most other kids hate her, hate the race who made them orphans, so she’s not happy there, and spends some uneasy, awful 2 years.
That’s when the Thanatophobia starts. A priest of Arkay comes to them, shortly after the orphanage is built, and tries to comfort them, tell them about the great cycle of life and death and rebirth, of how now their parents souls are within Aetherius, washed anew into another life, and she loses it.
For her, Dying means leaving behind the ones you love, devastating them in the process, only for then be stripped of their identity, their memories of their loved ones erased only to become another person? That’s terrifying for her, of one day forgetting her dads like they probably forgot about her, so she makes a childish decision. If a cycle of death and rebirth is what brought her there, and if that’s what’s awaiting her, then she’ll simply not die till she has found a suitable alternative, one where she’s possibly still alive.
She’s 7 and an ostracized orphan however, so she doesn’t have much to go for that. Even her magical aptitude is low, since where most kids and failures rejected from the academy had managed to learn even the most simple of flame and healing spells, all of which being already taught to the poor orphans, “for self defense in these awful times” says Sister Andronica from Bravil, the one with a wicked glint in her eyes and yet a gentle smile when she needed to teach the kids how to fend for themselves.
(She left in a hurry one year later, to return to Barvil after hearing news from her family there, and right before they found Mother Superior dead. She had been growing ill over the year, almost as if something was seeping the life out of her, and it seemed losing Sister Andronica, with whom she had laways had the most... pious of relationship, must have been the last straw for the poor woman).
Yet teaching magic to a kid only leads to the ones being bullied to either become victims or butchers, and while she could not seemingly learn such easy spells yet, she had at least managed to learn Fury, a illusion spell, which only made her tormentors more mad, which was... worst, somehow.
Anyway, at 8 years of age Galateotta gets finally adopted, by Legate Cassia, now General. War Hero during the Great War, she was one of the four people who lead the four columns that took back the Imperial City from the Thalmor, and had been promoted and filled with honors. She had decided to take a much needed rest, especially after the trauma of losing so many good friends during the war, the pressure of all the things she had to do, as a commissariat officer, having to sedate insurgencies within the army with a iron fist, she and her men forced to eat their own boots, skaven’s tails, anything to survive during the time of the great war. So, while strolling in the streets, deciding to retire to Anvil at 40+ years of age, buy a cozy house there and live a calm, quiet life away from the madness of the imperial army, she has a young Altmer girl crash against her knees, running away from her bullies, and fall down on the ground in front of her.
She helps her up, her bullies hide, we have some conversations based on their circumstances, all very Oblivion like, or Interesting NPCs like, Galateotta giving her her life story and getting Cassia’s back in return, and Cassia decides to adopt this scared yet potentially feral yellow gremlin altmer child, because she likes her goddammit and maybe the gods are sending her a message at this point.
This will be a pivotal moment in Galateotta’s life for it will ingrain in her the Bruce Wayne School of Adopting Kids: “If you meet a kid, and they have no parents, adopt them no questions asked.”
Under Cassia Galateotta learns a bit the use of one handed weapons, needing something to defend herself with despite and because of her Altmer’s naturally fragile physique (Forcing her to wear mostly cloth or some light weapons) and apparent learning disability disorder stopping her from learning some spells right away. From her, she receives an Ancient Heirloom Cutlass, which becomes her primary weapon despite the years of wear and general bad quality, more for display than actual use, yet still better than iron swords.
At 16 till the age of 24, The Arcane University rejects her in all her applications, and the Mages Guild doesn’t even make her a member, both due to her lack of talent and her actual desires to join them, and while it’s frustrating at first it’s not so bad after the 6th year of rejection, so she doesn’t feel too bummed out about it. Again, she only wanted to join to unravel the mysteries of life and death, to achieve immortality for herself and everyone else, since she also blames the death of the other orphans parents on their awful behaviors, and therefore blames the Thalmor, so if they hadn’t been orphaned and had there been no war maybe they wouldn’t have hurt her, but mostly herself (and Legate Cassia).
Since the Mages Guild has banned necromancy a couple centuries ago, she can’t even research it in private either, least she was hunted down and strung up like a common bandit, so she can’t even go that route.
What she needs now, are 3 things:
1) A way to survive alone or, without that, one or more people or summons to watch her back:
The world is a dangerous place, and Given the lack of proper magical teachers, unfortunately, she STILL only knows Fury. It’s a pretty good fury, and she’s sure she’d be able to make one guy in 10 go mad and attack the others, but she’s not sure that must have that much uses in actual combat, especially if she’s doing a suicidal 10 vs 1.
She’d need other people to side with her, but she’s trash at making friends, most people finding her wanting to infodump about immortality and, well, religion in general, something she has almost become a expert at given as she tries to find something where she can still be free and mantain her individuality least her “immortality for everyone” plan failed. So she needs to work on her people skills more.
2) A change of scenery. Maybe, somewhere new and fresh, where people don’t know her all that well and there is less prejudice about her studies, where equally skilled minds can discuss openly about their research, where she can find the mystic power she needs to overcome her blocks and become the wizard to stop undeath...
3) Competent teachers, or, in lack of that, ways to research the wisdom of either dead or missing mentors, possibly in the fields of necromancy or theology.
And she knows just the place to achieve that.
Legate Cassia, now 50 going on 60, forbids her from going to the smoking crater that was Morrowind searching in the ruins of old Telvanni Mushroom towers for just that, least she was devoured whole by some nameless ash horror they left there to guard their secrets, but recognizes that its important for her and wants her to fulfill her dreams (which she assumes are impossible and merely theoretical, but she also wants her daughter to spread her wings, leave the nest, maybe become the mage she needed to be rather than the one she wanted to be), so instead proposes her to go to Skyrim instead.
One of Cassia’s old army buddies is there, as the Legate of the military governor, and she has heard the College of Winterhold was definitely more tolerant over Necromancy than the Mages Guild. So, she manages to convicne Galateotta to move there, leave the nest with a tearful yet awkward goodbye.
Cassia also writes a short letter to her ex girlfriend Rikke, telling her her daughter might come along at some point, and to try to treat her as she would treat Cassia, except the courier that was supposed to get it to Rikke manages to arrive 1 week late, and she doesn’t even know Galateotta is now captured during a Ambush on a man and a rebellion she knows nothing about.
So, here she is. Her heirloom sword has been confiscated and put in the keep’s barracks, the cart’s horse got spooked over something and crashed it against the walls of the keep, like can be seen in the above picture, she’s not been sleeping well in the last 2 days due to horrible nightmares, and now she’s about to get executed, which is triggering her fucking Thanatophobia right now because all her life work, she never managed to get anything does’n yes but it was still her life work, are about to get fucking wasted so she’s panicking because she doesn’t want to lose her life her individuality for some feel good bullshit story about death and rebirth she wants to remain there with hew mom she can’t leave her like her dads left her she just can’t-
And then, in the middle of a panic attack, Alduin arrives and saves her from her death, dazed and disoriented running away from the keep alongside the kind yet mild mannered legionnaire that was trying to not have her killed, away from the crazy Nords that were perhaps a bit too enamored with the concept of “dying with dignity and go to a place filled with mead (Yuck) and food,” and away from the Dragon who saved her life yet ended many others, now in the keep where they took her Heirloom Sword, getting it back as she puts on some mismatched light armor and a dead man’s wizard robe and hood, the first she ever got in her life, much to her new... friend? (She finally got a friend?) mild concern.
And this is where her story begins.

For your D&D character meme, how 'bout odds for Talise, evens for Tamsyn, and the letter C? :D
Had a feeling this revenge was coming XD *cracks knuckles* Here we go!
1) What would they consider to be their biggest failure?
Talise: Oof. Maybe not being able to save her family, or at least her sister-in-law and nephew. Maybe her (former) deep reliance on alcohol once her memories started coming back. Trauma is a motherfucker
2) What’s the story behind their name?
Tamzen: When it comes to naming characters, I really just start thinking of names that stick out. It started with “Tiernan”–from Pirate Queen–and I must have watched an episode of The Tudors with Tamsin Merchant to remember that name, too. “Tamsin” kept sounding best with the character concept and then the spelling changed to “-zen” as a subtle joke since she’s a monk haha
3) What’s their relationship with their family?
Talise: When she was Hosanna, very close. They all loved learning (though maybe different things), the people in their city, and each other. She was closest to her brother, Yanis, despite their age difference. She felt adrift without a family unit, having a ship and crew helped, and finding Yanis has upset any equilibrium she was finding.
4) What’s one song that describes them or is them?
Tamzen: Not many peeps know this, but she was built to be the personification of the “Morgan: Amor Tristis (or Morgan - Amor Tristis on Spotify)” instrumental from the Ah! My Goddess movie. My all-time favorite instrumental and it suits her story.
5) Who is their best friend?
Talise: Expanding on the Yanis thing, he was her best friend growing up. So the years in which she thought he was dead and that she failed him were rough…but she was working towards a place of resignation…then they found him alive. It’s super weird now because yes, her brother used to be able to embarrass her; but now, it’s the first time she’s ever felt shame. Hosanna, while sharing a small flair for the dramatic, was a very different person than Talise was crafted to be. But in the party, Jax is the closest to a best friend, no contest.
6) Why are they their class?
Tamzen: She ran away from the city after her heartbreak and stumbled across a traveling group of mousefolk. Most of them were monks but since she stayed with the leader and his wife (the only ones with stuff able to house a larger humanoid), they were the ones who taught her as a way to find calm and take back a sense of control.
7) What do they think of their party members?
Talise: She feels distinct lines in the sand. At first, they seemed only about their sleeping habits (there was no other way the rooming arrangements could have shaken out and everyone live). But now, it feels very much like two separate factions working together. Separately: Q- she’s terrified of everything she does being in that book, and she has a hard time wrestling with his innocent naiveté when it reminds her of who she used to be. Briony- Not used to being around women in a strictly friendship sense, but is happy for her presence so Q has someone of a similar maturity. Braxton- He’s rarely there. Jax- They instinctually understand each other. It’s complicated but in a good way. Caspian- Like recognizes like but she feels they have different motivations behind collecting information…and it’s hard for her to move beyond a betrayal of trust.
8) In what ways are they similar to you?
Tamzen: Extremely calm under pressure, thinks she’s never good enough to be significant to anyone enough to not leave her, thoughtful gift-giver, gives herself for others until there’s nothing left, can have an accidentally sharp sense of humor, deep well of feeling and protectiveness for those she considers “hers”
9) In what ways are they different from you?
Talise: Unashamed in the way she moves through the world, unabashedly flirtatious and teasing, confident, how she copes with things (tends to be physical indulgences), seeing trust as black and white, unafraid of confrontation or large birds
10) What do they look for in a romantic partner, if they have a romantic orientation?
Tamzen: Someone who doesn’t see her as second best or not enough. Someone she doesn’t need to take care of but who can take care of her. Tamzen has a competency kink a mile wide; so if they’re even-keeled, stronger, a better fighter, and extremely skilled in what they do…they’re definitely her type. She’s a pretty quiet person, so they need to be comfortable with silence and understand things unsaid as she’s very action-oriented. You can tell a lot about how she feels about someone based on her actions, not her words. They also need to love her son.
11) If they had a patronus or animagus form, what would it be?
Talise: Ooooooooo….idk. Maybe a panther animagus? Something that slinks around with confidence but can be very soft. Patronus would be a cat like Talis or a hippogriff like Fantôme…or a peafowl.
12) What do they smell like?
Tamzen: Orange blossoms and vanilla, with hints of herbs that can be used medicinally (eg: lavender, tea tree, etc)
13) What is their secret skill?
Talise: Sketching/drawing. She’s intensely private about it; but has charcoal, pencils, and a sketchbook in her pack that’s rather like a diary.
14) What is their relationship to spirituality?
Tamzen: Complicated haha. She’s a “tsuki kitsune” and I tweaked that to mean she’s a fox blessed by the goddess of love with the potential of becoming “human.” Her “parents” are the guardians of a special, unknown spot in a forest the goddess has declared sacred; there to take care of the clearing and of any creature blessed by it…and Tamzen was a fox spawned there. Anyways, so even as a fox, she was engrained with this strong belief in the goddess and had an awareness of her presence; but then something devastating happened with the person Tamzen thought she was fated to be with–who had been the cause of her transformation. Ever since, Tamzen has had a tumultuous time with the idea of love…much less having firm faith in her goddess, because she feels betrayed. She’s slowly trying to repair her side of the relationship through making sure her friends find love; but she still thinks she’s been abandoned by someone she had absolute faith in, so she’s weary.
15) If they were to be remembered for something, what would they want to be remembered for?
Talise: NOT like what they were shouting at Hosanna. She’d like to be remembered, in general, rather than lost to lines in a book. She wants people to speak of her and the small amount of goodness she’s put into the world.
16) Why did they become an adventurer?
Tamzen: Happenstance led to her becoming a monk…and she needed additional discipline to try to silence the rage and nastiness brewing inside of her, so she joined the army. The adventuring grew from that.
17) What’s one thing about their backstory that came to you after you already started playing the campaign?
Talise: THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. One notable thing–I hadn’t even thought about her being an alcoholic (sober now) until making her playlist. For some reason, “Chandelier” kept coming up and it had to have been a sign because it’s deepened her in ways I wasn’t expecting. Also her tattoos.
18) Do you have any headcanons for them that haven’t come up in game? Or headcanons for other party members?
Tamzen: Totes! She plays the lute only for Tal or when she needs to really think through something–frequently those moments are one in the same when he’s playing outside. Her internal crisis over always being second best and slowly being resigned to it. Party members: Mama: they sometimes read together (even though Tamzen doesn’t like to read), trade skills (Mama helps her build strength and she helps Mama with flexibility), and that Mama has to spend extra time in front of a mirror before going to a fancy event to take in the fact that this is her life now and she gets to wear these pretty things and be feminine. Kerrick: that he’ll sometime have ink in his hair from running his fingers through it while copying down spells. TBD: thinks it’s hilarious how he still hasn’t had to explain his name and has a running bet with himself over it. Finn: she catches Tal speaking squeakspeak to Finn while playing and Finn just going with it and trying to learn the game through context instead.
19) Any ships with your character? If a PC or NPC, what interaction launched it?
Talise: YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE, SHIPPY MCSHIPPERSON xD. She’s the first character in a LONG time I legit ship with another PC. Whether it becomes romantic or remains platonic (it’s not just up to me or Talise), Jax is the most significant person in her life–excluding her brother. They just got each other from day one and they seem to be the only ones able to easily talk to the other, even when the subject is difficult. The canon you created about her feeling safe with Jax is 100% true; ever since Before, she has a hard time sleeping around other people but she trusts him enough to even share a bed…and he’s the only one with whom she would never be anything but truthful. At their core, they are people reinventing themselves after tragedy but don’t know if they’re doing it right. But Jax makes Talise feel it’s alright to be who she authentically is rather than acting the part she’s written for herself; and to find joy again in the things from her past. The ship’s legit launch was after their serious conversation about “equivalent exchange” in relationships (about Caspian) and has since been buoyed by all their side chats + interactions. “…are you just going to stare at me?” “Until you’re ready.”
20) What would your character consider their biggest success? Or what is your favorite success your character has had so far?
Tamzen: Tal and facing Silas again. She’s really surprised me in how she’s been able to grow to where she is now…so that’s an awesome success because it feels like there’s still more growing for her to do emotionally. But the ultimate success EVER was the gift of the hearthstone to Mama. It was canon lore created on the fly and it was so meaningful and has become a cornerstone of Tamzen’s character.
Letter C:
Smartest- Talise and Syl are the most booksmart; Calla is the wisest about people (followed by Talise and Tamzen); Vi is the smartest about how to use people for her advantage; Mireth is the most diplomatically savvy. Most Attractive- Tamzen is that annoying woman who looks beautiful even without makeup (#blessed) but isn’t necessarily sexy like Talise is. From there it’s Mireth (that half elf/half fae glowup), Calla (aasimar moon baby), Lady Vi (moon elf tall, slim model build), Evi (Italian witchy woman), and then Syl (striking but not always considered beautiful).Hogwarts- Ravenclaws are Talise and Syl. Slytherins are Lady Vi and Evi. Hufflepuffs are Calla and Mireth. Gryffindor is Tamzen.

omg the NPC asssskkkk .....!! can I ask..... Di??? or Hiet??? or Baal?? damn my heart. the one that inspires you most??
ASDFGHJK I’m gonna try all three because fuck it i love my ocs
1. Would they be recruitable?
Yep. Good luck with him.
2. Would they be a class specific character? (ie. Imperial Agent only. Republic character only)
He’s only available for Imp side characters.
3. When would you recruit them? Vanilla story? an Expac? Post KOTET?
I feel like he could fit in anywhere. He’s very simple, one goal and one minded person so where or when wouldn’t really have a big effect on his story or character.
4. Where would you recruit them from?
Anywhere but the Sith Academy. I imagine him meeting the player while already being in his thirties and very experienced yet still unpredictable.
5. What would their recruitment mission be?
Probably something you need to search extra manpower for. Di is that extra strenght.
6. What would be their original recruitment outfit?
Callous Conqueror armor without the mask (see picture).
7. Would there be a character they don’t like? Would that cause you to choose sides?
Di doesn’t like anyone. If you chose too many options that don’t side with him this might have effects in the future.
8. Are they romancable? Why/why not
Yes because I think he’d make for an interesting romance with him being goddamn dark sided and having to learn this weird thing called romance while also really wanting it. Also he’s Cathar so a romance with him is gonna be deep since you will be his lifemate. He’d both die and kill for you.
9. What would they say if you clicked on them?
“Don’t touch me.” “ *low growl…* “ “What are you looking at?” “My advice: Kill whatever’s troubling you.” “Did you hear the screams of that last guy? Hehehe..” “Just keep moving.” “Let’s move.”
10. Do they know any other in game characters? (ie. trained under Satele Shan during the civil war. Knew Talos before he went to Hoth)
No. He’s a hermit.
11. What weapon(s) would they have?
Cathar Honor Sword on his back and the Red Unstable Peacemaker Lightsaber on his hip.
12. Are they better as a tank, healer or DPS?
Dps all the way trough. Good tank but sucks at healing. He’d rather tell you to get over it, that your wounds are proof of you being a warior, you shouldn’t hide them.
13. What gifts do they Love? Like? What would they say when you gave them a gift?
Love: Weapon. “Hey.. Thanks..” “That looks good.” “For me?”
Like: Imperial and Military. “That’s nice.” “Alright.” “You got me this?”
14. What would they say if you sent them away/changed them out?
“Big mistake.” “ *angered growl* “ “Why must you keep me from battle.” “I will remember this.” “Fine.”
15. What do they say when they heal you? What do they say when they are attacking?
Heal: “Get. Up.” “Giving up is not an option.” “If you die I’ll kill you.” “That was dissapointing..”
Attack: “*deep chuckle*” “You think you can take me?!” “*violent growl*” “Get back here you coward!” “I’m gonna make you bleed…” “I’ll rip your troath out with my teeth.” “You’re gonna be dinner.” “When I remove your legs from your body you won’t be able to run!”
16. What’s their idle chatter like? Do they talk a lot (when you arrive on each planet) or do they suddenly say something in some strange places?
He’ll usually say something before a battle. “Di what do you propose?” “He won’t talk if we rip out his tongue…”
Or in certain areas.
Rural: “Yegh diplomats. Let’s get out of here.”
Outside: “I used to hunt here closeby, quite tasty meat they got around here I must say.”
17. What letter’s would they send post vanillia class story/SOR/KOTFE
Me: *hasn’t finished any of the vanilla class stories*
Hi
I’m not gonna let you go
- Di’taqt
Attachment: A rather bloody heart of something (or someone) you may not want to know
KOTFE
You.
I could have known you weren’t dead. No one could possibly kill you. It drove me mad. Not being able to find who killed you. So I just murdered everyone that looked suspicious. Which was everybody I came along… How foolish I was. Should have known. No one is strong enough. You are the most powerful. Everyone else is weak. As am I, for you.
- Your warrior
18. If they are recruitable in vanillia story, where are they during KOTFE/TET? What are/were they doing?
I’m not entirely sure what’s happening during KOTET. But he’s probably wandering on his own again.
1. Would they be recruitable?
Don’t think so. She’d probably one of the more important NPC’s walking around that you can go to for advice. She’s a Jedi Master for certain. More like an advisor that will continue to be in the story (like in Dragon Age Inquisition) and on a special occasion will be able to be used as a companion.
2. Would they be a class specific character? (ie. Imperial Agent only. Republic character only)
I feel like she’d be with both Jedi classes at the start and be available for all classes during KOTET.
3. When would you recruit them? Vanilla story? an Expac? Post KOTET?
Start of Vanilla stories for Jedi Knight and Consular. You’d meet her somewhere at the beginning and she’d guide you trough your journey. And for all classes during KOTET. She’s very accepting so I feel like she’d get along with all classes
4. Where would you recruit them from?
Jedi temple.
5. What would their recruitment mission be?
You’d get sent to speak with Jedi Master Frodynn for advice maybe? She’ll occasionaly give clues about where you should be heading now and also is willing to help train you. But she isn’t your official Master.
6. What would be their original recruitment outfit?
A flowy and very simple yet comfortable mix between a white dress and Jedi robes. She usually has her hands folded in the sleeves.
7. Would there be a character they don’t like? Would that cause you to choose sides?
Hiet doesn’t hold grudges, is very open minded, gives everyone a chance and believes there’s light in everyone. Doesn’t mean she won’t fuck u up if ur gonna do evil.
8. Are they romancable? Why/why not
Yes because I say so. Romancing her takes time and can of course only be achieved if you don’t care as much for the Jedi rules as she does. It would be a little mischievous and very secret.
9. What would they say if you clicked on them?
“Hello my dear.” “How are you?” “You are doing well.” “ *giggle* “ “I’m here for you.” “Friend.” “ *soft humming* “
10. Do they know any other in game characters? (ie. trained under Satele Shan during the civil war. Knew Talos before he went to Hoth)
She knows most of the more well known Jedi personally.
11. What weapon(s) would they have?
Seven white lightsabers floating around her.
12. Are they better as a tank, healer or DPS?
She’s a healer but can do an enormous amount of damage. Not a great tank.
13. What gifts do they Love? Like? What would they say when you gave them a gift?
She loves Cultural gifts. “Oh my..” “This is wonderful, thank you my friend.” “I will cherish this.” She likes Imperial gifts. “For me?” “Why thank you.”
14. What would they say if you sent them away/changed them out?
“Untill next time.” “Be careful out there.” “I’ll be thinking of you.” “Remember what I thought you.” “Be kind.” “Farewell.”
15. What do they say when they heal you? What do they say when they are attacking?
Heal: “Now now, come here..” “All patched up.” “Ready for another adventure.”
Attack: “I apologize.” “I am sorry our paths had to cross like this.” “Take that!” “I will not let you come closer.”
16. What’s their idle chatter like? Do they talk a lot (when you arrive on each planet) or do they suddenly say something in some strange places?
She usually has something to say about the areas you travel to. Some information on it’s history. Sometimes she’ll giggle depending on the dialogie choices you make or she’ll say something or make a face when you choose a dark sided option.
17. What letter’s would they send post vanillia class story/SOR/KOTFE
She doesn’t sent letters so it most likely will be a holocall in which she tells you she’s worried and that you should return safely to her.
18. If they are recruitable in vanillia story, where are they during KOTFE/TET? What are/were they doing?
I can’t say for sure as I’m not aware of what’s happening during KOTET, but she’ll most likely be helping the good guys and help the hurt.
1. Would they be recruitable?
Yep.
2. Would they be a class specific character? (ie. Imperial Agent only. Republic character only)
I think all classes would fit. She doesn’t get allong with most Force Sensitive ones though and will leave if you’ve chosen too many dark sided options.
3. When would you recruit them? Vanilla story? an Expac? Post KOTET?
Somewhere in the middle of the Vanilla story.
4. Where would you recruit them from?
Not a planet, but a ship in deep space.
5. What would their recruitment mission be?
A Bounty Hunter has been causing trouble. Catch her. Instead you realize Baal was framed and together take the ones down that wanted to catch Baal. She joins you after you offer her a free ride and she sticks around for a while. Still very lonesome tho.
6. What would be their original recruitment outfit?
RD-07A Vendetta armor set.
7. Would there be a character they don’t like? Would that cause you to choose sides?
She’s very wary of Mandalorians, Imperials and force sensitive people. Also if you side with her family she’s gone forever.
8. Are they romancable? Why/why not
Yes she needs some loving.. I think it would be interesting trying to get the big bad lonely bounty hunter to trust you enough. You may even get some flowers.
9. What would they say if you clicked on them?
“Hmpf..” “What?” “I’m here.” “I don’t have anything to say right now.” “Y’know I appreciated the silent moments between us..” “… Take the hint.” “Hm?” “Stay on guard.”
10. Do they know any other in game characters? (ie. trained under Satele Shan during the civil war. Knew Talos before he went to Hoth)
She knows all about Mandalorians and some may recognize her.
11. What weapon(s) would they have?
Mischief and Anarchy pistol set and a sniper rifle.
12. Are they better as a tank, healer or DPS?
She’s a great tank and damage dealer and okay at healing.
13. What gifts do they Love? Like? What would they say when you gave them a gift?
Love: Weapon. “Thank… You…” “This is pretty cool.” “You shouldn’t have.. But I’m still taking it.”
Like: Luxury. “Oh, I don’t have anything for you though.” “Thanks.” “Haven’t seen this in a while.”
14. What would they say if you sent them away/changed them out?
“Bye.” “See ya.” “Don’t make me have to come back and save your ass.” “Stay out of trouble.” “Forget my name.” “I’ll go get some rest then.”
15. What do they say when they heal you? What do they say when they are attacking?
Heal: “Get up.” “The fight’s not over yet.” “Heal up.”
Attack: “Got one.” “Get out while you can.” “Fool.” “This is nothing.” “Score says I’m hitting more than you.” “Another one for the tally.”
16. What’s their idle chatter like? Do they talk a lot (when you arrive on each planet) or do they suddenly say something in some strange places?
She really doesn’t say much to be honest. Her dialogue exists more out of ‘hmm’s and dissapointed looks.
17. What letter’s would they send post vanillia class story/SOR/KOTFE
She also doesn’t sent much letters. They’re more like text messages. ‘you ok?’ ‘text me when you get there.’ ‘look at this picture of a nexu i found. its funny.’
18. If they are recruitable in vanillia story, where are they during KOTFE/TET? What are/were they doing?
She’s most likely back to solo bountyhunting and got hired by Teeg to help fight Arcann.

Kyari’s Guide to Selfies in Eorzea
So people keep asking me like “How do you take selfies?” “When do I unlock the ability to take selfies?” “Where is the /selfie command?” “Will you please stop taking selfies in the middle of Omega Savage?”, and so I finally figured it was time to share my secret with the world!
Step 1: Go find somewhere to take a selfie/someone to take it with! Admittedly this step is largely optional because let’s face it, the focus of the image is you!
Step 2: Figure out which emotes work as selfie prompts for your race/gender!
Wait, wait, wait, come back! I can tell I’m losing you all there, because Step 2 of a how-to guide is immediately “FIGURE IT OUT” right? But the truth is that all of the races/genders have different versions of emotes. What works for some characters doesn’t work for others. The important thing to remember is that the emote only needs to have an arm positioned correctly for a fraction of a second.
The long and short of it is, try combinations of /welcome, /comfort, /wave, /point, /pet or /songbird (if you have it). Anything that has even a few frames of your arm out stretched
An unfortunate problem with taller races, Roe girls especially, is that a lot of their emotes angle downward, so its just going to take some trial and error to get there.
Step 3: Add a facial emote. Its important to do this AFTER you make the motion you want. Optional Step 3.5: Set up a macro (add “motion” after your emotes so as to avoid spamming chat with emote text):
Step 4: Position yourself appropriately and hit that macro. Try to keep in mind where your character is going to have their arm when it comes to positioning things in the shot with you. If your “camera” is going to be in your right hand, position the shot behind and to the left, or vice versa for your left hand.
Step 5: /gpose
Step 6: In gpose you’re going to want to roughly position your camera in the direction you want to face, force your character to face the camera hitting Pause/Break on your keyboard, or Y/Triangle on your controller.
For an added bonus; any other player characters, nearby minions or NPCs who head track to look at your character will also turn to face the camera in gpose.
Once you’re satisfied with the angle, its a game of pausing your animation at just the right frame to make it look like your arm is going to be off holding a camera. If you don’t know how to pause it, you can hit the buttons at the top of the GPose Settings screen (Accessed with R/* or Square/X) or by pressing the 1/2 keys or LT/RT/L2/R2 for just you or your party/npcs.
Step 7: ZOOM THAT CAMERA WAY IN (Fine tuning the position as necessary).
For best results, fully zoom in the default camera, and then zoom even further using the Gpose camera position option as below:
Step 8: Give your shot a bit of a dutch angle by spinning the camera on its axis a little to make it feel like a more naturally held shot:
Step 9: (Optional) Add some subtle/softer lighting if you feel like you need it. I tend to stick to low lighting on Type 1 (as this only effects characters and not the environment around you):
Step 10: Take the picture.
And that’s about it! Just play around with it, female midlanders have a really easy time of it, but different emotes and angles can achieve great results with just about every race if you have the patience to experiment!
Enjoy!

DnD Ask Meme- Tamzen
Link to original, blank meme: https://thejenesaisquoigirl.tumblr.com/post/186529464305/dnd-asks More about my kitsune monk (Way of the Open Hand) under the cut~!
1) What would they consider to be their biggest failure?
Dying. Not protecting her son. Before she let him go, it was failing to be someone Silas loved enough to stay with even in the face of opposition. Or not being able to be there for her son due to her inability to prevent the ugliness within her from festering. Currently Tamzen is having an internal crisis of believing she fails at everything or will never be enough for anyone.
2) What’s the story behind their name?
When it comes to naming characters, I really just start thinking of names that stick out. It started with “Tiernan”--from Pirate Queen--and I must have watched an episode of The Tudors with Tamsin Merchant to remember that name, too. “Tamsin” kept sounding best with the character concept and then the spelling changed to “-zen” as a subtle joke since she’s a monk haha
3) What’s their relationship with their family?
Positive and loving. She has always adored her parents and vice versa. As a mother, Tamzen may be firm and people may assume she would not show warmth to her son; but Tal is one of the few people with whom she always shows her depth of emotion for him. He is a perfect child and his love helped Tamzen heal.
4) What’s one song that describes them or is them?
Not many peeps know this, but she was built to be the personification of the “Morgan: Amor Tristis (or Morgan - Amor Tristis on Spotify)” instrumental from the Ah! My Goddess movie. My all-time favorite instrumental and it suits her story.
5) Who is their best friend?
In the beginning of the campaign, it was Kerrick. He was the first friend she’d ever made other than Silas. But his behaviors—especially the incident with the cleric and raising the dead—drove a wedge in their friendship; and she found her friendship with Mama/Mishann growing. Now she’s her best friend and Tamzen even gave her the ultimate gift a kitsune can give someone—a piece of their hearth—along with trusting her to be the one to take care of Tal, if Tamzen would ever not be able to come back.
6) Why are they their class?
She ran away from the city after her heartbreak and stumbled across a traveling group of mousefolk. Most of them were monks but since she stayed with the leader and his wife (the only ones with stuff able to house a larger humanoid), they were the ones who taught her as a way to find calm and take back a sense of control.
7) What do they think of their party members?
She feels they’re a motley crew with a whole lot of secrets. She’s ESPECIALLY suspicious of Burt and Connie because of what clues she has gathered of their past and because of their actions over the last couple months. The rest of the crew: TBD- enjoying their healing dynamic since Biir left, thinks he’s a cool friend; Finn- thinks of him like a second son and is protective of him; Kerrick- he used to be her best friend and she’ll always be grateful, but Tamzen can’t condone his behaviors and struggles to be with people who can’t control their impulses; Mama- owes her so much and views her as family now, wants her to have every happiness possible and will do her best to make that happen.
8) In what ways are they similar to you?
Extremely calm under pressure, thinks she’s never good enough to be significant to anyone enough to not leave her, thoughtful gift-giver, gives herself for others until there’s nothing left, can have an accidentally sharp sense of humor, deep well of feeling and protectiveness for those she considers “hers”
9) In what ways are they different from you?
She takes serenity in all things to an entirely new level with how schooled her face is; her not being verbal in her affections to people she cares about; not enjoying reading; she only really warm to those she cares about; Gryffindor
10) What do they look for in a romantic partner, if they have a romantic orientation?
Someone who doesn’t see her as second best or not enough. Someone she doesn’t need to take care of but who can take care of her. Tamzen has a competency kink a mile wide; so if they’re even-keeled, stronger, a better fighter, and extremely skilled in what they do...they’re definitely her type. She’s a pretty quiet person, so they need to be comfortable with silence and understand things unsaid, as she’s very action-oriented. You can tell a lot about how she feels about someone based on her actions, not her words. They also need to love her son and not love her despite her past but because of it.
11) If they had a patronus or animagus form, what would it be?
A fox animagus haha For a patronus, probably a fox, too... maybe eventually a hippogriff (what is with my two favorite characters having significant peeps in their lives with hippogriffs?) or a monarch.
12) What do they smell like?
Orange blossoms and vanilla, with hints of herbs that can be used medicinally (eg: lavender, tea tree, etc)
13) What is their secret skill?
The lute and painting. She’s not secretive about her flexibility or healing abilities; she’s secretive about skills that can reveal her emotions.
14) What is their relationship to spirituality?
Complicated haha. She’s a “tsuki kitsune” and I tweaked that to mean she’s a fox was blessed by the goddess of love to have the potential of becoming “human.” Her “parents” are the guardians of a special, unknown spot in a forest the goddess has declared sacred; there to take care of the clearing and of any creature blessed by it...and Tamzen was a fox spawned in there. Anyways, so even as a fox, she was entrenched with this strong belief in the goddess and awareness of her presence; but then something devastating happened with the person Tamzen thought she was fated to be with--who had been the cause of her transformation. Ever since, Tamzen has had a VERY hard time with the idea of love...much less having firm faith in her goddess because she feels betrayed. She’s slowly trying to repair her side of the relationship through making sure her friends find love; but she still thinks someone she had absolute faith in has abandoned her, so she’s weary.
15) If they were to be remembered for something, what would they want to be remembered for?
She’d really like for her son to remember her loving him with everything she had. Other than that, she wouldn’t care much other than for doing good.
16) Why did they become an adventurer?
Happenstance led to her becoming a monk...and she needed additional discipline to try to silence the rage and nastiness brewing inside of her, so she joined the army. The adventuring grew from that.
17) What’s one thing about their backstory that came to you after you already started playing the campaign?
So many things haha Why her parents are her parents, her relationship with her goddess, and so many other things.
18) Do you have any headcanons for them that haven’t come up in game? Or headcanons for other party members?
Totes! She plays the lute only for Tal or when she needs to really think through something--frequently those moments are one in the same when he’s playing outside.
Ya know, never thought she would ever get to a point where she would be in a place to be with someone again. But then she asked Damien (an NPC) what it was like to lose your parents... and his utter honesty in that conversation was enough to make her cry in front of someone. It was evidence she could allow someone to see her vulnerable again. And then when he showed off his battle prowess and skill under pressure...her interest was DEFINITELY piqued. And then he went and made sure she was able to get to her son? Now Tamzen has it bad and has no idea how to handle having feelings for the newly crowned king. Especially not when she thinks she’s not good enough for anyone.
20) What would your character consider their biggest success? Or what is your favorite success your character has had so far?
Tal and facing Silas again. She’s really surprised me in how she’s been able to grow to where she is now...so that’s an awesome success because it feels like there’s still more growing for her to do emotionally. But the ultimate success EVER was the gift of the hearthstone to Mama. It was canon lore created on the fly and it was so meaningful
