Hot take. With the switch AU’s between Amphibia and TOH- Amity would NOT be Marcy! Hunter would! Here’s why😀 (yes I know people are just having fun and I love all the au’s. Im doing the same in sharing my take because it’s fun and I can lmao so don’t come for me)

Hunter would be Marcy because they are both, one, the right hand to the emperor. Yea I know- “but that’s so basic”. It may be basic but they parallel. They both are the right hand, they are both pawns in the bigger game, they both get used. I had this theory before S3 E1 of TOH but that just furthers it. Both of them have been possessed and betrayed by the person they trusted most the majority of the time they were where they were. They both helped terrible people UNKNOWINGLY and then got hurt. She got stabbed, he almost got killed multiple times. They also both got possessed in season 3 of their shows so- Moving on from the bad, they are both very- ADHD. They have hyperfixations, special interests, and more. But they also, always get shut down by the people who they think are closest to them. Marcy with Anne & Sasha & Hunter with Belos. They are both interested in things no one else really is until they find someone who is. Marcy with the Emperor & Hunter with Willow which is where they stray from each other. He finds the right people and she stays with the wrong ones, soon unwillingly, but finds the good in what she had at the end, which is where she relates to Amity when she became friends with Willow again but that’s really it.

Now with Amity and Sasha. Those 2 are more accurate as the other tbh. Yes Hunter is the soldier who has a troubled parenthood- but so is Amity. In a different way. Amity was top student and she has a troubled parenthood as well. Not like Marcy’s tho. More like Sasha’s. Marcy’s parents still love her and care about her. Sasha’s, from what we’ve seen, don’t. it’s sad to think about, but it’s really true. but they both over, come out and get better, in their only ways. And it takes a while for them to become who they are today. Which is better people than what we started with. Amity may have ended with a girlfriend, but Sasha, ended with Anne being her best friend, until they grew apart, which happens. But they still stayed friends.  the only way that they differ is that Sasha did what she did because she wanted to ignore the fact that her parents were divorced, Amity did what she did because she wanted to please her parents.  But they basically play almost the same role just written a bit differently in my eyes. Idk that’s just how I read them😂 

And with the rest of the characters, everyone stay the same. Luz would be Anne, Willow would be Sprig, Gus would be Polly all for obvious reasons and so forth. I just think differently for everyone else for those two😂.

TKP Chars in IDV

now. Compared to the other post, this post will specifically be going over TKP chars if they were actually playable in IDV as their own selves. I am NOT giving them titles bc um. It'll add onto the post creation time by me brainstorming ok. Also if I ever end up remixing any of these concepts into an actual idv oc you have to mind your business (lighthearted). These are gonna be longer because yknow. Whole concepts. Right. These are focusing on all characters being survivors in this case!

Charon

Like I had mentioned, Charon would be a good contain + rescue character. They would have an average/good decoding speed, but with others, I can see them gaining a debuff titled "Meticulous"? Flavor text being about Charon being good at doing his own work, but gets stressed when having others "complicate" his own workflow. You get.

Some of Charon's external traits would be like Coordinator's, such as army bond + steel will. I imagine Charon's version of army bond activates when a teammate gets injured as well. I imagine Charon also has useless flesh because they're a robot. I feel like there's a mechanic they would have that involves their pink slips but I'm not sure how yet. Maybe they could be used to temporarily disable the rocket chair? Don't think too hard about how it works. It's only polite to not use something pink slip'd.

I think like how he was Postman's costume, Darrell would be an assist character. He would probably have something similar to Postman's abilities too. Maybe? I think Darrell would have a ... 10%?? Speed boost because he gets to have wheelys. "Isn't this in the early 1900s" okay well charon is controlled by ai.. let darre be free and skate. Ok.

There's this certain trait I want him to have is being able to "deliver" items to others? Like, the recipient can refuse, but these items would most likely be items you find in boxes. Maybe it's 3 uses + random? It's kinda like Lucky Guy's Lucky Parcel [<- guy who never used lucky guy]. I just looked through + his ability is similar to Anne's soothing toy trait too. SORRY ANNE. FUCK. It's different in the way that Darrell spawns with the three items instead of picking them up

Darrell may also have something akin to the panic talent in the way that wounded, incapacitated, or rocket chaired teammates affect him more? Yea. Oh. Um. Hey guys I just doublechecked and yeah Darrell would have mechanics Cowardly trait. Sorry girl I didn't mean to overshadow you. I imagine that this could MAYBE inverse if chazz is on the chair but idk. That would qualify as another trait I think

It was hard coming up with a unique trait for him, but I can see Sven being an assist character + boosts decoding, healing, and/or rescuing if he's with 2+ teammates. Sorry sven you're really hard to think of idg for and I'm saving my fisher concept.

YAY!!! I've been waiting to get to her ! Tammi's assist + MAYBE contain. They have a version of Holy Key that can only be spawned in any doorways. It's also more random than holy key in which it'll teleport you to other doorways- not ones near your initial location though! Tammi also has a buff where healing goes faster when peps around or if pep does the healing. Because pep the best. Did I mention that they're one of my favorite non-main 6 characters already. Unfortunately I have to nerf them in decoding by giving her the half-hearted trait that Acrobat has.. crocs n turts on her mind

So, like I said, I imagine January being an easy character to play. So I don't think there'd be any difficult mechanics for her? I can she her having the athletic trait, so she'd be good at vaulting and such. I think she'd work more as a contain character? She'd have a decoding debuff i.e. not liking to stay in one place for a subsequent amount of time. Maybe she has a special where she can run fast and bounce off of walls similar to naib's elbow pads, and like the elbow pads, if she choose to bump into a wall, she can't controll where she goes. Also if she bumps into the hunter she can stun them because WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CANT DO THAT WITH NAIB. WHAT! I imagine she'd have a cooldown/limited use for that

It'd be kinda funny if they had a buff for running towards + rescuing Naomi but if they code with her or heal her ve Fucking Fumbles huh. Ignore they're supposed to be decode character. I'd also say they'd have meticulous but I ALREADY SAID THEY'RE A DECODER. But hm. Fuuuckk. Fuck. They wouldn't do well as a contain character. Also they're fragile. They have a buff for decoding in solitary. Does this help

Ok here’s a post I wanna do before Bravely Default 2 comes out, these are just some stray thoughts and sort of prediction type things that I wanna put out before these are probably rendered irrelevant. There may be some spoilers for the previous games here so watch out because those will be below the image! These are mainly crazy theories and subtle hopes so.. yea!

My prediction for the subtitle, the Roman numerals/ 2 being more than it seems is that...... I believe it actually represents a pause button, I know it’s a bit out there, but considering the previous games’ relation to the bravely second mechanic where time is stopped in battle (although I don’t know if this kind of feature is retiring or not) I could see the fourth wall break somewhere where pausing the game is needed in the plot. A bit of a stretch maybe but it’s the best thing I can think of.

Next is a few interesting things I’ve thought about after playing the demo, while it’s abundantly clear that there is no direct correlation to the previous titles, such as old characters and that this is a new world, not luxandarc I’m not expecting any huge plot relevance to those games.

However. I’ve noticed that the plot beats of the new game are similar to the original bravely, Awakening the crystals, Gloria shares similarities with Agnés in her role, starting in a desert area in the demo (although octopath did this too so bit of a stretch there) I’m not saying it completely follows the og to a T but there is similarities. This either means :

I’m thinking way too into this and it’s simply a return to form, especially for those who played the original and are picking up this one after a long time they want to follow some patterns (this is most likely true)

Or.. my other theory is that Bravely Default 2 is a mirror of the original Bravely Default, while not a direct sequel like Second it instead mirrors the original in terms of plot and other stuff, which may play in to the later story, bravely has alternate worlds, and who’s to say this game’s setting isn’t one of these, where Luxendarc never came to be and Exelant happened instead etc.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, and it may also work with the end scene in second and the whole Planeswarden thing. The other thing to support this theory lies in the music.

Now once again, this is all speculation and could be me thinking way to into nothing. Revo is back doing the music, as they did in B1, what’s interesting is that there are a lot of motifs and and call backs to B1 in B2’s soundtrack. The most obvious is the intro to the normal battle theme, which I made a meme of. This could just be Revo’s way of composing and keeping to the original with little snippets like this, after all two games in a series have gotta have some shared motifs in music. Another motif I caught was in the field overworld theme where the latter part is very reminiciant of old tracks as well, it feels really nostalgic :) And again that might just be it. Nostalgia, Revo is composing just as they used to.

Which is what I would be inclined to believe completely if it not for the fact that motifs in bravely’s OST are really significant or hint to certain things, and I adore hints of symbolism like this. Some examples in B1 is the Ba’al theme featuring Airy’s theme, while the two aren’t directly linked in the plot, it does show that both are enemies in a sense, and in second Anne, her sister was pulling the strings and such. Another interesting one is Florem’s theme (an absolute masterpiece of a song) where it really is a slowed down version of That Person’s Name Is, the asterisk boss theme. As Florem is a hub of corruption and under the influence of the asterisk holders this is really cool to me, that the song features the antagonists theme throughout but isn’t overt at unless you pay close attention to it. It’s almost like story telling in music in a way!

Anyway. What I’m trying to say here is that these music throwbacks and motifs may have more meaning than just being similar to the original...or not, depends what happens! Apart from the obvious title theme and other overt uses of the motifs, there is one song in the demo that really caught my attention that may support my “Mirror theory”

There is a song which annoyingly I can’t find since I don’t know the name, and I don’t want to search up the OST since I’m pretty sure at this point the OST from the full game is up on YouTube and I don’t want to run the risk of getting spoiled by song titles.

This song plays in the demo in the talk with Prince Castor, and it sounds like a reconstruction of Bravely Default one’s Melody of Nostalgic Reminiscence. It has the same instrumentation however it’s almost...muddled. Some sound bites are there but others aren’t. I’m sure this isn’t the only song to do this, but it sparked the theory for me that this game is a mirror of the original, not a complete retelling, but some things are the same in both. If that makes any sense.

Finally of things I want to know about in this game is if there will be any referral or fight with Ba’al Firstborn, the ba’al that never had any plot relevance and was simply fought on the moon base, there’s always stuff in the bravely series that hints toward a sequel such as the magnolia cutscene and such so maybe firstborn will have something more to do in this. Or not.

I might make another post if there’s anything else but these are my theories and thoughts that are heavily just me wanting to find similarities and just obsessing over a game series I adore.

Was reading your response to the Okumura Ryuji/Morgana fight, and the way the person worded Ryuji's character made me wanna ask... Do you think a bad fanbase is a fair reason to dislike a character? I've heard people say things like "no look at the character too", but... For example, I'm very neutral on Ryuji. When he's good, hes SO GOOD, EXCELLENT BOY, but Ann is my favorite girl. Guess who he pervs on exclusively and is rude to all the time? I've never seen his fans talk about (1/2 sorry)

His rude behavior, or his pervy tendencies, or his more selfish desires regarding the PT. That's fine!! Not everyone wants to constantly talk about bad things their fave has done!!! But people referring to him as a "woman respecting king" so insistently rubs me the wrong way, since he treats Ann Like That. That, and (more personal) i remember making a post/ask thing once about my grievances with Ryuji, esp his perv stuff, and the fans that interacted very aggressively denied his behavior (2/3)

And it even turned into a big discourse on the blog I submitted it to (it was that one confession blog). All the people that responded and just tried moving the arguments to "well Yusuke did this-" or even tried to push blame on Ann "she was asking for it" just kinda cemented my already growing dislike for Ryuji. Super sorry this is so long!!! Final question: is a bad fanbase a fair reason for disliking a character? (3/3)

Don’t say sorry about multiple sent asks, I don’t mind kfdsjla;fja As for the answer, I want to say yes and no, but really it’s just “yes with a side note attached.” Yeah, it’s ok to not like a char because of their fans, but I think it’s as long as you know why you dislike the char beyond the fans (well tbh, imo it’s usually the crazy fans so I think stans is a better word, but even then there’s diff stans). And tbh, I....can’t....think of a character I don’t like that the fandom/fanbase does....but I know nothing about the char all the while (closest and most recent example this....is....I know people dislike that grey haired moe blob on twitter even tho I don’t think they watched the show, and while I’m not a fan of the moeblobness I don’t know anything about the char so I’m personally not upset). I can only name chars I don’t like because of what happens in the text, fandom be damned (but sometimes they don’t help). Which is why it’s a yes with a side note. If you don’t like the char despite not knowing them.....probably get to know the char first even if your impression is clouded by the fandom....at least you gave the char a chance.

I say this because.....it’s hard....it’s hard to keep them separated, unless you completely isolate yourself from the fandom (which is basically impossible if you wanna keep up with news, even the comment section is part of the fandom tbh...and you might be looking down their for diff reasons). And then.....well...the big reason....sometimes seeing the fans really highlights the reasons you dislike the char. That’s what happened to me and Makoto, specifically cause of....a certain fan (and buddy if you happen to see this, nothing against you, no bad blood, def won’t mention your name I respect you and the debates we had)....AND TO THE TUMBLR READERS WHO GET NERVOUS: It wasn’t on this website in case anyone is freaking out so if you’re thinking “Oh god it’s me” it is most likely not you (tho I think we do know each other on here cause of usernames/saw each other in passing but we def aren’t mutuals last time I checked), and while I do respect that person.......my god did they highlight the reasons I had issues with P5 and Makoto. Ironically in trying to defend her and show off her good sides, I realized the writing issues more and more and her bad sides became more glaring. It turned my frustrating dislike and attempt to try to work out my issues with her and P5 (ironically “working out” in hindsight would’ve been me....denying and refusing to look at P5′s flaws) into....well......the salt factory you know today. (same thing happens with like......Yukari and Junpei fans too tbh...that’s more recent tho, it feels like they are just downplaying their negatives constantly and I’m not about that). Basically, you probably have issues already, they are just more pronounced now. 

As for “look at the character”....you kinda already are doing that, and that’s probably where your existing issues originated from (tho if someone wants a more in depth reason as to why, while you DON’T OWE them an explanation, it is also hard for someone to understand your feelings and reasons if you don’t try to explain). 

As for Ryu, yea, I getcha, I like the guy, I’m neutral positive on him....was my best bro but he’s 2nd best thanks to post-Kamo writing. I like him because of his positives, but I always keep his negs in mind because. Cause like while I agree with the fans IT MAKES NO SENSE! P5′S WRITING IS BAD! it happened, same as I agree that Anne kicking Ryu’s ass, along with the other girls, is shitty. Hate the scene, and I accept that it happen (low key gonna start some kinda 2nd wave war with this bs cause the fandom be like that, but I’m really surprised no one took Anne smacking Ryu behind the neck cause he was being too loud as super offensive and abuse.......it’s def something a friend might do, not like belting him just a tap, and it’s framed as chill and also as warning him to reign in the volume control, but high key surprised no one has tried to cancel her cause of that). BUT that DOESN’T mean it erases all the creepy stuff he’s done. Is he the goodest boi when he’s being good? The best. Is he always a good boi? No, he def is not. And hearing that he is can be frustrating to people that do see his flaws (cause they are there). And like....you are 100% able to like a character despite and because of their flaws, while also accepting they have those flaws. I do it with Yosuke, Ryuji (for the most part), Teddie, Shinji, Ken, Kanji (when he’s not around Naoto, then he’s in a trash can for me), P1/2 casts, Aigis, Mitsuru, as long as the flaws are within reason and are treated pretty well....then I’m ok with it. (again, Kanji/Ryu have moments when I’m like....NOPE! but when they aren’t doing the bad thing I’m cool with them). As long as the flaws are withing reason (aka they aren’t making a jerk person out to be the person in the right, or the writing is trying to sweep what they did under the rug, or trying to force us into empathizing with them despite what they did while also trying ot sacrifice empathy towards another char.....*cough*Makoto/Yukari/Junpei*cough* if the writing isn’t doing that...... I’m probs neutral to pos on them). 

Like I’m fine if they are criticizing the writing and being like “Him doing this makes no sense cause it conflicts with the good boi we’ve already seen!” That’s a-ok! Not only do you recognize your char has flaws, you also are able to identify issues with the writing. But saying “so I’ll choose to ignore that scene” isn’t....ok. Because sadly it did happen, as contradictory it did happen. AU it all you want, but you have to accept it happened outside of that AU. Like, I don’t like the Mika conflict in Anne’s CoOp, by which I don’t like how it went down (100% fine with Mika, and there being conflict with her). How it the whole thing started doesn’t make sense if you put MainStory!Anne in her CoOp. MS!Anne can read the room and other people’s emotions (only other person capable of that is Haru, or at least with Mona), hell she was so good at it she noticed something was up with Shiho without Shiho telling her about it! The issue was the fact Anne’s not a mind reader and could only assume the issue Shiho was going through that Anne was aware of (and that was her spot on the team). Now MS!Anne is not like Yosuke, she doesn’t put her foot in her mouth. She’s not like Naoto who can’t read the room. She’s not super eloquent, but can empathize and when she can interact with people she can do it pretty well. So why the hell does she basically not think before talking and insult Mika? Sure Anne’s not GREAT at school, but she’s not a moron, she can talk to people. But her CoOp makes her a moron all around, 100% airhead, and that’s how her issues with Mika start, by not thinking before talking and accidentally insulting her via blatantly “not caring” about the job to a full time person......it’s stupid, it makes no sense, I hate it. But it’s there, the flaw might not be present in the main story, but for the all around character (cause CoOps are included) it is now and I just have to deal with it. We can bitch about it all day (and trust me I will) but it happened. Basically never frame it as “it didn’t happen,” but instead “It SHOULDN’T HAVE happened.” One is denial, the other is critiquing the text. 

Anyway my rant aside, yeah I hate it when...well Ren/Ryu/Yusuke (no one’s said Mona yet, cause....well yeah...which is good they haven’t labeled him as it yet tho), are labeled as “drinking respect women juice” and I’m like “I have one to a few women who would disagree.” I know some people will argue Goro is drinking it, and imo he’s not....he’s just eating the “I don’t discriminate sandwich” which is different. And yeah the “But Yusuke-” yeah yeah we’ll get to him, but right now we’re talking about RYUJI. I’m not a fan of derailing a topic *war flashbacks* *shivers* anyway. But yeah I remember that debate, I was probably one who was like “We’ll get to Yusuke but right now we’re talking about Ryuji” and pushing the blame onto Anne is disgusting and Kamo Arc!Ryuji would be very upset. >:( (btw high key I think I was the first one who started the first anti-makoto war wave with me saying “yeah Anne shouldn’t have apologized Makoto started it and blah blah she was an ass” not the exact words but basically just calling her out on her shitty behavior cause the game certainly didn’t......tho as Miley Cyrus would say.....”I didn’t mean to start a waaaaaar~!” I actually wrote my first Persona Problems on that topic.......but it got lost in the drafts....my photo examples kept getting messed up which is bad considering the whole post really relied on them....I should try to dig it up tbh....)

Tldr/short answer: Yeah, you probably already have issues with the char to begin with tbh, and the fanbase can highlight those issues more. It’s also hard to escape the fanbase (I see stuff I don’t wanna see despite trying my hardest to avoid certain circles, it just happens).

writing about Writing instead of Writing (ep. 1)

i said i was going to write about why the Filipino movie "BuyBust" resonates with my writing so i'm just gonna go ahead and spill my thoughts okay (and maybe fangirl a little bc this film is a fucking masterpiece by our country's mainstream standard go watch it before you read this pls)

so buckle up because she's really long (and self-centered and self-indulgent)

Fangirling First (to convince you to watch it before reading the rest of the post; it's on Netflix!)

I'm not a fan of action movies, okay. And I just have to let you know that BuyBust had me Hooked more so than most Western action films my ex forced me to watch.

The plot you would think is predictable but the writer makes a good job of making sure you think it isn't. The greatest treats in the main plot, you get towards the end of the movie.

The storytelling and pacing may feel a bit awkward. You get a huge chunk of story in like the first 1/3 of the movie and then the action comes in and the story is then sprinkled in between Zombie-Apocalypse-ish Action Packed Scenes (which are so worth it by the way).

When it comes to the acting, you gotta take what you can get because it's quite rare to find action movies in the country with female leads and Anne Curtis is more known for romance, comedies, and her talents as a host. Other characters' acting and characterization may fall a little flat but it's ayt. I was mostly hooked by the thrill and the ending, anyway.

The production design? By our local industry's standard? Absolutely stunning! Cinematography! Choreography of the fight scenes! Yo, action movies are not easy to make or direct. Continuity and choreography is everything!

(tbh, it's not perfect at all. but it's just a really big breath of fresh air from the usual love stories in the Philippine mainstream film scene and the really bad action scenes from one of our ongoing Cop Action TV Seriers sooooo yea. plus, it was such an ambitious thing to pull off but they delivered!!)

General plot of the film

BuyBust is an action film written and directed by Erik Matti. It follows a team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in an operation to take down a drug lord who lives in one of the slums in Manila.

The main character Nina, was assigned to a new squad of elite PDEA agents after her old team was slaughtered in a previous operation (which had been compromised by corrupt cops).

So the new operation is again compromised and team ends up trapped (literally Trapped With No Way Out) in the slums and they have to fight their way to escape. So, yeah, that's the premise of the film.

Filipino context

When our president came into power in 2016, the Philippines was placed in the international spotlight for the rapidly rising in the extrajudicial deaths related to our leader's War Against Drugs.

Hundreds of police operations almost always ended with at least one suspect dead (some even minors). Why did the police have to kill the suspect? The common alibi for killing the suspects back then was "nanlaban 'yung suspek" which means the suspect fought back or resisted arrest.

The Ending (spoiler of course, if you plan on watching it)

So Nina finds out from the big bad drug lord himself that the operation had been compromised because of someone working closely with their team. He then proceeds to tell her about the horrifying truth about drug operations. When the arrest happens, Nina, the drug lord, and the Mole board a police van.

The Mole then decides to kill the drug lord to keep him from ratting out his Even Bigger Boss Drug Lord and then points his gun to Nina to keep her from ratting that he had killed the suspect. But Nina (who now knows the truth about the compromised drug ops) grabs his gun and kills the Mole and everyone else in the van to avoid leaving witnesses. She then shoots herself in the leg.

Other officers hear the gunshots and come rushing to see what's happened and they find her as the lone survivor in the vehicle. They ask her what happened and she tells them that "nanlaban 'yung suspek" (the suspect fought back). Her wounded leg bleeds to support her story.

And suddenly you see the line in a different light. In a different context.

Okay, so how the hell does this movie resonate with your writing again?

1) You get a feeling that the whole movie was written for that one line in the end.

All that context was created just to deliver that ending. And I've seen that in my own writing, how I come up with the ending first and build context from there (which is why I'm also context heavy during the first parts of a fic).

You'll realize I tend to do this if you've read Yes, I Do the Cooking and 394,200 Minutes of Wishful Thinking (Give or Take).

2) Taking one phrase/sentence/concept and then turning it into something else entirely.

Erik Matti took the "nanlaban" concept and gave it a whole other story. He took a concept that his audience had already been familiar with and interpreted it differently.

I love this kind of writing, okay!

I saw one SS fic on Twitter where they took Taylor Swift's lyrics "writing letters addressed to the fire" and the interpretation was beautiful. (It's centered around the fact that Sasuke uses fire chakra. Sakura constantly writes to him during his travels and her letters keep him going. Like how paper can help grow a fire or keep it burning.)

This is also kinda how I wrote Wishful Thinking lmao. The prompt was "She's Not Mine." And y'all know what Kakashi meant when he said it. And this is a technique I'm using in one of my Kisame week submissions lmao (which I've yet to finish as of writing time).

this is gonna be pretty long i like talking about my stories <3

ok so first of all. its an isekai SPECIFICALLY in the sub-genre of historical, woke up as a character in a novel after death with a female lead. this is probably my favorite genre like ever lol and i am not exagerating when ive said ive read hundreds of isekai manwha and light novels. i know the genre back to front i can give you a highly detailed list of common tropes [positive or derogitory] and how they relate with eachother. ive read so many horrible ones just for the select few which i can confidently say are Good. its really a read what you want to write situation and baby i am Read.

^ had to preface with that bc my story is a bit of a subversion of those tropes and such. of which i know a Lot.

anyway. i have many, many isekai story ideas but FML is my main one. i created it because i was sick of the mc having close, semi-romantic relationships with other women but its never actually end game or not as explored in comparison to the secondary male leads. so my main character [philomena or just mena for short] is explicitly a lesbian. she knew it from before she ended up in the new world post-death. im drawing from personal experience so theres never going to be like. 'doubt' or questioning her sexuality but rather its a focus of Knowing but not allowed or being too nervous to Say or Talk about it. which just gets worse since its a historical setting so girlies fucked yknow.

and also the whole thing is incredibly self indulgent so mena [and most of the side characters] are incredibly attractive to me. but most of the physical traits i gave her are often villainized in manhwa [due to korean beauty standerds. its a cultural thing and this does Not apply to ever manhwa in existence its just common] which is fat, lots of freckles, and red hair <- most of the 'villains' or Bad Women have red hair which is really funny imo but its not a major thing. more just like its bright and fiery yknow

but yea. ok im gonna get into the actual story now. for those who Dont read these kind of stories you should know this is very basic set-up. basically mena is living in her world and then BOOM. dies so sad but she gets revived and wakes up in the body of a character from the novel she was reading! the problem is that the novel Sucked Ass and she got through the first half before skipping and reading the ending. so shes missing a lot of information.

the OG novel was from the perspective of the second prince from the Holy Kingdom of Iria, Melech Adante von Kaulla who is a bastard prince and hes very sad since no one loved him as a kid and is in a battle for the throne against his half brother the First Prince. hes cold and has an Annoying Fiance [the daughter of the grand duke] until he goes to the Academy and he meets a young Commoner Woman named Marie-Anne Soo and learns to love. but she gets poisoned by the Jealous Fiance and then he goes to War against the Bad Countries and he comes back, revolution time, crowns himself king, the Fiance is dead. <- at some point idk i havent planned it out entirely. and thats the jist.

unfortunately mena is actually the second princes fiance! [at this point its common for the MC to be like. im gonna break off the engagement and hes gonna lose interest and im Not gonna fall in love but he falls in love since wowww why would you break it off??] however mena is a lesbian and also thinks hes kinda annoying. but the engagement at this point is Not confirmed just highly suspected. okay so her full name is Philomena Aimee Camillia Beaumont, daughter of the Grand Duke of Venastus which located right next to Iria and while isnt under its control theyre highly connected. so it makes sense they would marry the two families together.

the engagement happens when she turns 14 and they meet at a party <- details are still bein worked on. shes currently 12 when she wakes up so she has two years to prepare. which she wastes on just fucking around lol so eventually the party rolls around and shes like fuck. what am i gonna do i have to avoid him. and she does, hides in the garden and meets a boy whos also hiding. they talk and she confesses that she doesnt want to be engaged to the prince and also she likes girls. hes like haha cool. then she learns this boy is Jaheem Adelio von Kaulla, the third prince which was mentioned in a couple one off lines and never actually relevant. mena gets hit with a brilliant idea and proposes they get engaged and have a lavender marriage.

he agrees and the plan it set off! from there nothing is super concrete but they go to school and meet other characters, get a third to their trio, Diya Ahmad Al-Mufti, the daughter of a scholar from the Very large country, the United Republic of Streskoia.

theres many countries btw i have the whole world map planned out and most are directly inspired by already existing countries which i can get away with cause the OG novel author was lazy <3

so its sort like this. not exactly the aesthetics and culture is inspired:

Holy Kingdom of Iria - Russian / Jewish

Grand Duchy of Venastus - French / Slovenian

United Republic of Streskoia - a collection of minor countries that came together. not quite a single country. encompasses Africa / Middle East / Little bit of Asia

and theres quite a few more but theyre the most relevant.

the story sort of focuses on mena learning that the persepective of the second prince was incredibly biases and that the people around her are People and learning about the political landscape that is so much more than what the original author wrote about.

which brings me back to why its so difficult to figure out how i want to tell the story. theres so Much in it like im putting so much into the world building i want the story to be good. but her trio are friends are such a small part of a much bigger whole. i have no idea how i want to tell it.

isekai stories [in this genre] are commonly told in two ways. light novel [which is just book] or a manhwa / webtoon. problem 1. isekai is not a genre thats huge in the west. theres outlander and thats all i can really think of. i mean i could also just release it online it doesnt really matter since im doing this for passion but i would like to theoretically publish this is just to have a physical book. since its not fanfiction or anything lol. the second thing is make it a comic. i cant draw though, at least not well enough to make a comic that id be satisfied with and also itd be fucking Long.

i think itd make most sense for just a regular novel and then have like side stories go along with it. i still need to figure out most of the plot lol i have all the character arcs and stuff planned out! and i really like them all :]

Philomena - 5'6~, shes fat with a large bust and a round face, long semi-curly / wavy reddish-orange hair down to below her shoulders, blueish-greenish eyes <- color is muddled and no one can say for sure, pale skin from lack of sun [Venastus is Cold] and covered in freckles. visible tooth gap, prefers loose clothing / empire silloutte type dresses or common russian/slovenian costumes. lots of bright colors with greens and flowers

Jaheem - 5'9~, broad shoulders to narrower waist, squarish face, 4b hair that starts in a fade but eventually grows out longer, naturally black but dyes to red in the future, gold/orange eyes as a symbol of royalty, dark black skin, traditional russian court dress mainly whites and golds, gets into drag and more feminine clothing in the future

Diya - 5'8~, average body, rectangular body / face, mid brown eyes, dark brown almost black hair always kept back in a braid tied off with a ribbon [green, a gift from philomena], brown skin, traditional iranian dress, wears a headress [ghutra or shayla most commonly]

actually the thing is i Do want to be a published author. thats like my dream. the characters i was talking abt are from a story who i call (full moon lavender aka FML <- not rhe full title just a nickname i use) and thats my baby. everything i want and more. but the problem is i genuinely have no idea how to present it as a story. its. ok im gonna get on my computer
