1) Delvaux for everyday wear ( fun fact they are the oldest luxury brand in the world! followed closely by Hermes and Loewe)

But I also collect 2000’s Miu Miu purses, they are much more fun and youthful than the bags they produce now!

I have a lot in my mind that I rarely remember to write down and a lot of my headcanons don’t make it into my fics lol… Also I work better with specific questions about the Killjoys because of this haha.

So the big ones for me are that the 3/4 Killjoys are Mexican American and Jet Star is Puerto Rican. I don’t play around with Jet and Kobra as much so that’s kind of it for their headcanons whoops. I like draw Jet as a cowboy though!

Fun Ghoul is a trans guy to me and he uses he/him. He has a big scar on the side of his face that reaches his lips. He’s really tan he looks like this -> 🙋🏽‍♂️ and he wears cargo shorts all the time. He made Poison a lighter that matches their gun. He is the mechanic and has a workshop and likes to take things apart. Since he’s played by Frank Iero I give him tattoos that are similar to Frank’s but Zones-ified. So instead of the doves on search and destroy it’s a cicada and the DD spider. I think he still has the scorpion I can’t remember if I changed that in my brain.

Party Poison is nonbinary and transfeminine and they use they/them. I love to draw them with denim skirts and cowboy boots. I really associate them with like, southern y2k fashion If that makes sense? Like, bedazzled jeans and turquoise jewelry and stuff. Poison is that one eccentric tía you have that lets you play with her jewelry and scarves and stuff. I’m a little biased but I like giving them a subtle southern accent in my mind! I used to draw them with a little thin mustache just because literally every Mexican person I know has a lot of facial hair or body hair (i.e me and my sibling and everyone I’ve ever met). Also Kobra is their brother and together they’re the Venom Siblings and both of them are tattoo artists.

.... this is genuinely difficult because the fashion/styling of kpop in general is part of what got me into it in the first place, there is literally a certain je ne sais quoi about it as a whole that i love. like you can put together the most godawfully ugly outfit and put it on an idol at work and BAM. i suddenly see something fun about it and can appreciate it for what it is (usually) but actually i really like what i refer to as 'slutty business casual,' like blazers and slacks and button-ups but there's cutouts and lace-up details where there really shouldn't be etc etc (think the suits from libido onlyoneof and that one stage for tear drop sf9 where they're in purple or that one Very Tight white shirt that kai wore for a rover stage). also yes i am a fan of the y2k vibes a lot of ggs have been on lately if i have to pick out ONE specific trend piece i'll say i really did like those white boots with the lug soles that were popular the last few years! so much so that i got a pair for myself haha

So come back here after reading that post if you really don't know anything about the band bc this def won't make any sense. In THIS post I'd love to discuss WHY I'm so obsessed R+ and all the things that I personally love about them. I will format it in bullet points to spare myself and everyone's sanity:

I feel like the most obvious point should be the first; I love their music! I grew up on industrial and synth, so introducing metal to that mix is like a heavenly mashup. The heavy guitar, the synth keyboard, the gorgeous vocals and deep (often complicated) lyrics??? I would insert the music directly into my chest cavity if I could and that sounds really fucking weird but that's where I feel like it should live 🧍🏻‍♀️

I have daddy issues point blank, that much is obvious from my blog LMAOOO so ofc latching onto gruff middle aged men is a fundamental human need for me at this point

The style and uniqueness of the band is incredible. Who else do you know that lights everything on fire while looking like they just walked off a movie set? Their outfits are so fucking awesome. the history of the band is also very interesting. a bunch of weird dudes from East Germany end up becoming pals and form a band and rise to stardom while soldiering through the trials and tribulations such fame throws their way? love an underdog story. I highly recommend watching the documentary Rammstein in Amerika, it gives a lot of insight into the band's origins and history up through 2015

Some of the shit they pull is so freaky and weird that its camp at this point. The dick mold dildos? camp. The fact that they need licenses to use all their pyrotechnics? camp. Being arrested for public indecency? camp.

I am incredibly, overwhelmingly, unhingedly down bad for Till, Richard, and Paul (and also Schneider to an extent but not as much). I would allow for unspeakable things to be done to me if given even the slightest opportunity if you know what I'm saying

everyone is so fucking queer. like. deadass. Paul and Richard regularly kissing on stage is so precious ???? they're just two besties being besties kissing n shit. The band also supports the lgbtq+ community and are outspokenly against bigotry which is always a win. A lot of people have accused them of being bigots themselves and they're like ummm haha no get fucked (cue "Links 2 3 4")

Richard is a perfect little baby angel and I would die for him. I love his spiky hair. I love his nail polish; I paint my nails like him. He is so cute. I love the way he speaks, in German and in English. I also LOVE his band Emigrate, esp the most recent album. He's so awesome 😭 that being said I wish he wouldn't smoke like a chimney because I dread hearing the news one day that he has cancer but ofc I can't do anything about that in the slightest

Darling little (not so little...) Doom Schneider has an incredibly gorgeous side profile. And I love the pornstache he occasionally sports. He's also another one who is just like. A Normal Guy in my head. He is also very very pretty and very well spoken. I loved listening to him talk during the Rammstein in Amerika documentary

I also think Ollie is also just a Dude,, tho admittedly I don't really even think about him much because he is so normal and not unhinged that he kinda just blends into the background most times. He is 6'7 tho so that is fucking insane

How are we already due for another round of year-in-recap surveys? 2022 has seriously felt like one of the quickest years.

First things first, did you have a good year? To be completely honest, it felt like such a business-as-usual year. Not a lot of highs, but definitely no big lows either. I feel like it’s because I was fresh off a pretty big promotion at the start of 2022, so the rest of the year just panned out as an adjustment period and I was largely kept to prioritizing that. Badly put, my work ate up much of my life this year out of fear of fucking up.

How old did you turn this year? I turned 24.

Do you feel your age? I’d say I’m coming around, yeah. As much as I feel regretful that I put work first out of so many things, I’m still thankful for the blatant growth it gave me. I’ve become a lot more confident and comfortable in handling bigger responsibilities and dealing with people from all walks of life, which I was actually starting to worry about because at 23 I still had been a little anxious talking to people. That’s all out of the window now and I’m feeling pretty proud of that.

Did your appearance change in anyway? Definitely. I bleached and dyed my entire head twice this year and have started to experiment with a much more different fashion style, one that has had me wearing more oversized shirts and looser pants (gotta thank K-pop for that...)

In any case, these changes in appearance has also ended up being a massive confidence boost for me. I pose and smile more widely in photos now.

If you traveled, where did you go? Eh, not so much. Just out-of-town trips here and there; I went to Zambales twice earlier this year, then to Batangas a week ago. I’m pretty sure my dad booked an accommodation in Zambales this Christmas  – the first for the rest of my family this year, and the third for me haha.

Which fashion trends did you love? Which fashion trends did you hate? The Y2K thing that the Gen Zs are doing feels a bit too outlandish for me...not really a fan of the thin braids and space buns and sparkly everything. But on the other side of things I have taken a liking to streetwear. Big fan of oversized fits.

What was your favorite article of clothing this year? Post a pic if possible? These Korean-style trouser pants I got a few weeks ago - bought them in salmon and olive and they’ve been fitting really well on me. I also love the puff-sleeve, square neck dress I got which has been perfect for the beach.

What song sums up this year for you? everythingoes by RM. Still confused why that song never made an appearance on my Spotify Wrapped when I played that shit without fail at least every Sunday evening lol. Break My Soul by Beyoncé also served as an anthem.

What album came out and has been on heavy rotation since then? I had three favorite albums this year: Renaissance by Beyoncé, Jack in the Box by J-Hope, and Indigo by RM (the latter EASILY ranking first).

What was your favorite movie of the year? I did not watch any 2022 movies.

Did an actor/actress catch your attention for the first time this year? No, I don’t really keep up with the film space now.

Favorite new TV show? The most striking series I watched had been Our Beloved Summer, but I never got to finish it as I soon started getting busy and stressed with work lol.

Which new ship/fandom has taken over a lot of your time, attention, and tears? No new fandoms, I’m still securely locked in Bangtan world hahaha. I have gotten more into Seventeen, Le Sserafim, and NewJeans but I wouldn’t say I’ve settled in their respective fandoms; I’m a casual listener of the three at best.

What food did you try for the first time? Oh goodness, so many. I’ve tried Swiss food, local Batangueño dishes and delicacies, and have been to restaurants that I used to just fantasize dining at.

Did you make any big permanent changes this year? Wouldn’t say so. Did you develop a new obsession? Art galleries. I used to exclusively go to historical museums before this year.

Did you vote? ‘Course I did.

Did you move? Nope.

Did you get a job? No, I’ve been in the same company since 2020.

Did you get a pet? I lost and gained a pet. We got Agi this April, then we lost Kimi last June.

Do you regret not doing anything? Not volunteering at the National Museum when they opened up slots for it. Do you regret doing something? Hm, not really.

Have you done anything that scared you? Lots of things. “If you’re comfortable, you’re doing it wrong,” is a great phrase I picked up recently and has helped me want to try out new things, especially if they’re out of my comfort zone.

Did anyone/thing make you so mad it stayed with you for days? Eh, just work-related things and all the times I had to sacrifice parts of my personal life for commitments/deliverables that wouldn’t have mattered in a month’s time. I was never able to grieve properly over Kimi because his death happened in the midst of this stupid stupid stupid major event my client was poorly handling.

Did you lose anyone close to you? Kimi, June 10. Also the reason I will probably always have a bittersweet relationship with Proof, which was released the same day. I remember not having the strength to listen to For Youth and Yet to Come for months.

Did you fall in love? Nope, that’s not happening any time soon.

Did you fall out of love? I did not.

Did you start a new relationship? No.

Did you go through a break up? No, don’t really want to go through all that trouble ever again. Waste of time.

Did you have to cut ties to someone? Not explicitly, but I feel like this is slowly happening with a certain side of my relatives. That family has been through some messy shit and I can feel that they’ve distanced themselves from the rest of us.  Who was important to you this year but wasn’t important last year? I don’t think there’s such a person. My circle stayed the same for the most part.

Who wasn’t as important to you this year as they were last year? ^ Same.

What was the best moment of the year for you? What was the worst? Busan concert was seriously SO much fun and I do not regret going as big as I did with all the preps and food. I mean I had a feeling they were going to announce enlistment right after (what else was gonna come after??), so I did what I could to at least make mine and my friends’ last memory of the boys til 2025 an unforgettable one.

Worst was when I lost Kimi, and when my mom was dealing with her medical emergency at the start of the year.

What are you most proud of accomplishing? Lasting a year as a manager.

What have you learned about yourself this year that you didn’t know in the years prior? That I prefer going to new places on my own and thrive on digging out great conversations with strangers/new people along the way. 

What do you wish for yourself for the coming year? More chances to explore the world and myself. I’m no longer wishing for big and grand things; I just wanna keep learning as I go.

My knowledge on fashion… I like to look at trends in my spare time. You’d be happy to find that history repeats itself when it comes to clothing. A few years ago we just had 80’s and 90’s coming back. Primarily from the influence of TV and media and what was coming out at the time. But since the 2020’s, it’s been all Y2K. I think it’s so fascinating. I love how it’s just one big circle. Ah, I have a preference for tea. Recently I bought some peppermint tea because I’ve been having some health issues… So I drink it before bed since it’s non-caffeinated. I agree, I love seeing how clothes can be used to express personality and lifestyle. Same with environment. I think it’s exciting. Someone as pristine as Jade Leech wearing studded belts and making his own battle jacket for when he feels confident enough to wear it… I think it’s fantastic. Even if someone isn’t confident enough to use words to express themself, you can see what kind of person they might be when they’re wearing clothes out on day trip.

I am happy you understand my idea of Jade being more ‘punk’ than ‘formal’ when it comes to casual wear. Or more, out of uniform style! As much as I love the idea of Jade in sexy suspenders with a nice button up I also want to remind myself; he’s a young man. Not 30+. At least not yet. From what I see he’s such a likable & good guy. He says all the right things, communicates well & conversations are full & of interest. He has a lot going for him.
