this is such a fun question to result in so much anger 😭. the obvious choice is l*nnie or ted but im gonna presume you mean a main character which makes it much harder. i honestly think i’d have to say nancy. i love her so much but long term, i think her death would have less of a negative effect on most of the characters. mike would be devastated, but i think he would heal easier than will would if jonathan were to die. as for jonathan, i think he’d be angry at himself (for not preventing it) and regretful (for the issues in their relationship before her death). i think the main party would be upset but i don’t think it would hurt them as much as losing a party member or joyce or hopper would. i’d choose steve but i love dustin too much to put him through that again. i also think nancy is a very reckless character and i can imagine her dying. she likes to do stupid shit like shoot a gun at a moving car aiming directly at her and not moving out of the way or crawling through a hole in a tree to another dimension while looking for her missing best friend. we tend to see her as this level headed woman bc she’s so intelligent but lets be real, she is so fucking impulsive. i can also imagine her diving in front of an attack to prevent someone else, though that would definitely lead to even more guilt for that person after her death.

Comments on Stranger Things Season 4: part 1

-I like the new monster but he seemed so off everything we saw in those past seasons that I spent half of the time trying to figure out what's going on. Like it was good but it feels almost totally different from The Demogorgon, Upsidedown,DemonDogs, Mind killer... everything we saw before.

I had the same feeling when I first saw Resident Evil 7

But let me say that Vecta is a asshole, like, why kill people who are already struggling with shit in their lives? Thats just extra evil bro

- I hate how everyone was okay with Angela humiliating and harassing Eleven but the second Eleven fought back stand up for herself everyone was "look at that crazy violent monster"

And c'mon Mike, you should have deal with it better

Oh and at the same time I understand why Chad and the others felt threatened by Eleven's power but c'mon, they didn't need to bully her like that.

-I just love how Joyce keep getting into to international security, spy shit. And how cool she is about going to Alaska save Hopper and all that something...you know, is a life threatening situation

No seriously, it was so heartbreaking and beautiful

- Robin and Nancy friendship was awesome, so caothic. And I love the older fellas fighting having their time in the upside down. A lesbian, a himbo, a journalist and a nerdy guitarist? That's a power squad

-The acting in the series was always good and it keeps better and better each season.

-No much to say about Jonathan,Mike, Argyle and Will. Their scenes kinds sucks for me. Like all the other ones were real interesting and plot advance but their seems to be the "break of the action" one.

-Poor Hooper, at least he have a faceless assassin as a friend. I almost cry when he and Joyce finally reunited

-001 is shitty. I know I had a reason to not trust that guy. I also didn't like how one creepy kid is responsible for all that. They build this massive history through 3 seasons so now they can tell us that the reason of everything is because one creepy guy that loves spider just happen to born with this amazing power? I dunno

-Cant wait for part 2. It was so exciting to watch when the characters start to solve the mystery.

Cali plot was also trying to say mike cant be els lois lane because one person being responsible for providing all the love and comfort another person needs is impossible and frankly an unfair weight on his shoulders, which is why he fails every time he tries to help El on his on, only finds her when he is with will (and Jonathan!!! Her whole family is needed! But Jonathan wasnt the one that needed to learn that so he isnt the focus)

Its also why will trying to comfort her by saying what mike would say "we will fix it together (crazy together)" doesnt even get acknowledged by her and why him trying to quickly tell mike what is happening at the roller rink so maybe he can save el also fails, and even when will and mike are TOGETHER to help El during her battle against vecna it fails because will has resignated himself to the part of "just" el's brother and mike has been pressured again into "the person who needs to provide all love El will ever need to win and if he can't she will die"

They are equally important to el because plot twist, they are her family, her brothers. And If I'm being honest, Jonathan, hopper, joyce, Max, Lucas and dustin (and Kali + el's mom if I can dream) would all need to be there. Remember Max didn't think only of Lucas even if he was the focus, she remembered all her friends who love her and she was caught by all of them even if Lucas was the one most ready to be there for her.

The cali plot was telling mike and will how much they need eachother and work better as a team and even had mike sit like THAT so that he would be at the same level as will, and they got that they need each other but not that this was the answer for how to save El and how to finally conquer their feelings of depression and inadequacy

So will's sacrifice of Mike for Mike and El's happiness was beautiful, but it was a mistake, because he needed mike, and El needed both of them, and now mike thinks he needs to be able to provide so much love for el on his own and just like everything he tried to do for her on his own this season, he can't do it, its impossible alone.

Will was needed but he didnt realize it because he thought mike was as important to el as he was to will (and on that note will himself doesnt get all his comfort from mike alone, we saw how much jonathan helps him), and mike was told by will that was the case, even if he knows he can't give all the love she will ever need, and frankly it is unfair and toxic to demand that he could make up for her whole family and friends when he is just one person. A teen, who can't even love himself properly, who is he supposed to provide sustance for an entire human being on his own??

Jonathan probably was also needed, even if he wasnt the focus, because again, he wasnt the one to learn that lesson, and im fully expecting her whole family to shime in if the situation repeats itself, im expecting will to talk too and I'm expecting mike's speech to change from a mirror of will's confession into his own feelings about this girl who he clearly loves so much as family, I'm expecting "because WE love you" instead while both mike and will hold her hands and maybe her whole family holds her as well this time.

Gut reaction - this was the best season of Stranger Things

how could it not be? we’re so deep in all these highly emotional plots, they have essentially an infinite budget for SFX, the kids are now legally adults and have really grown as actors

but my god MY GOD it was fantastic

First, before i forget, the Joyce + Hopper kiss was EVERYTHING I COULD HAVE WANTED AN SO MUCH MORE. omg it was perfect. PERFECT. (Also i see you, ripped-to-shreds David Harbour - and i approve)

Sadie Sink - absolute MVP of this season. As if episode 4 didnt blow us away, episode 9??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? The whole speech she gave when she was trying to trap Venca about how she wanted Billy to die... AND THEN in the end with Lucas- who also was fantastic in that scene. absolutely gut wrenching

Will & Jonathan’s bonding moment over the salt water bath was fantastic. also shoutout to Will during the car scene when he revealed the painting he did.

I think the only thing i didnt like was “Mike is the heart” thing... I mean it made sense as to why it was needed but it just felt kind of...i dunno, a little too cheesy

that final shot though. everyone on the hill looking down at the destruction...ohh that’s what this show is so good at - powerful ending shots. 

I’m absolutely dreading the last season because i know since only 1 (sort of 2) people died we’re going to have more deaths, but i think its going to be a pretty amazing story so in that sense i cant wait.

Stranger Things Theories

Okay so this is going to be a mind dump of my thoughts after watching season 3! There will be spoilers in this post!

1) Not the American: Many people believe that the American the Russians are referring to is Hopper. Of course the finale wrecked me but The Duffer Brothers would really need to provide a believable explanation as to how Hopper could have possibly survived. In that split second how and why would a Russian spare Hopper’s life just to hold him captive? If Hopper escaped it would have been an impossible thing for Joyce not to have witnessed. Hopper also seemed pretty resigned into his own fate in that moment. I hold the series to a higher standard than to kill someone for shock value just to bring them back. I do however think it’s possible the American is Papa. (I can’t recall if he was American), but in season 2 it was an open ended question of if he was truly dead or not. 

2) The Demodog: Why and how was that demodog still alive after closing the gate? In my season 2 re-watch, El catapulted one of these creatures through the Byers window. Dustin had Steve wrap up the demodog and shove it into the Byers freezer claiming it was a “scientific discovery”. This seemed like a scene that was intentional and not just a moment of comic relief. It is also odd that we never heard about what was the follow up to putting this demodog in the freezer. If Joyce freaks out over magnets imagine how she’d react to trying to get some ice cream and finding a creature instead. What if the demodog didn’t die when it went through the window and somehow escaped the Byers home? In the commotion of the season 2 finale it seemed really random to have a scene of Steve and Dustin spending time forcing it into the Byers freezer. They wouldn’t have prioritized that scene if there wasn’t a reason. 

3) El’s Powers: This theory relates to the possibility of Papa still being alive. My first thought was Papa somehow being brought back into the story line (if he is truly alive) and aiding in helping El get her powers back. I’m hoping Kali will also be brought into the next season as well. I know that Kali and El don’t seem to remember any other children from the lab, but their numbers make me wonder how many other missing children have abilities? Did Kali and El have the numbers 11 and 8 because they intend to fill in the missing children in future seasons? The only thing with that theory is that I fear the show may become about abilities which could be cool as long as it doesn’t turn into a super hero themed show.

4) Season 4: It’s impossible to predict a future season but I think there;s but only so many times they can have El continuously close the same gate. I’m hoping to see Kali and El reunite since that relationship is a familiar bond she may long for after losing Hopper and moving out of Hawkins  When El left Kali, Kali was visibly upset so Kali might even attempt to find her. In rewatching season 2 Kali said reuniting with El was like having a missing part of her brought back. Although Kali was utilizing El’s ability in a harsh way I don’t believe shes a bad person. Her personality and uniqueness would be another great addition to the next season and provide poc representation. I also want to see the kids work to get through their trauma! Someone please get Will a therapist for the Love of God. Also poor Joyce!! The men in her life keep being taken away from her and she deserves so much better. Group counseling for the Byers is a must. I’m hoping to see a dynamic between Nancy, Robin, Steve, and Jonathan as well as Will and El developing a nurturing and loving friendship in season 4. 

Final Season 3 Thoughts: I really wish we saw the development of Max and Billy’s relationship. Coming into this season we only saw a generally abusive side to Billy. I was initially shocked seeing how Max broke down over his death and wondered how her relationship changed after she stood up to him in season 2. We only had a small glimpse of why Billy was the way he was and it could’ve been interesting to see him attempt to redeem himself had he not been killed off. I’m glad we got to see the dynamic of El befriending Max and appreciated that her and Mike weren’t consumed by each other throughout every episode. This season was definitely the most gruesome of all of them but I cant wait for the next one!

A/N: i mean, seasonal depression and a neverending fear that nobody will ever love me and that I will die alone drove me to binge read a shit ton of steve harrington x reader fics and cry despite the fact that i havent finished season two of stranger things but im gonna write this anyways.

i guess this is steve x reader but thats not the main point of the story

idfk i just want to be loved

(umm, henderson! reader who is loved by everyone, i do not give a shit if this follows the exact storyline, ok? i just wanna be happy again) (also i do not look anything like a henderson! so reader can be adopted or some shit? maybe a cousin?  who tf knoes? not me, thats for sure !!

Warnings: Probably Season Two Spoilers, No Editing, Probably super OOC and all that because I started this at almost three in the morning and now its four and I’m exhausted but I cant sleep because I’m sad. Anyways I’m just trying to say that it’s bad but I’ll love you if you read it anyways.

I was curled up in my bed, isolating myself from everyone as per usual. After the events with the mind flayer and demodogs and upside down, I realized something pretty depressing. Nobody needed me. I mean like? Sure I was Dustin’s sister. And sure, I was kinda helpful in saving Steve’s ass from the demodogs and Billy, but it just feels as if I weren’t there, nobody would even notice. As if my presence had no positive value to anyone in The Party™.

So instead of socializing with them while they all played DnD and joked around, I sat myself in my room, wrapped in a blanket burrito, holding back tears. I had my music on in the background as I mindlessly flipped through one of the magazines my mom had bought for me. Everyone was downstairs as it was Dustin’s turn to host the DnD night, and everyone was over. I mean, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Will, El, Max, Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan, and I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if I walked downstairs to find Joyce and Hopper there too. Every once in awhile I would hear some loud laughter come up from the group, signifying how happy they were without me there. It definitely wasn’t easy for me to sit there by myself staring blankly at the pictures of celebrities I didn’t even care about, but I continued to tell myself that they would be happier without me, attempting to drown out the sounds of their joy with the mixtape I had made for myself a little while back.

As I closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing, trying to force the tears that had started to pool back into my eyes, I heard someone knocking on my door. I quickly wiped my eyes to ensure there weren’t any stray tears, pulled the blanket tighter around my body, and attempted to look miserable. But miserable in a sick way and not in a sad way. If it were anybody except Dustin or Steve, I knew I was going to be able to pull off the “I’m not feeling very well” charade, so my chances were pretty good (though odds were rarely skewed in my favor).

Of course with my luck my little brother came bursting through the door.

“(Y/N)! Why aren’t you down there playing DnD with us?!” he asked, voice booming loud enough for the entire neighborhood to hear. As I prepared to try my excuse with him to see if my acting skills had gotten any better, I noticed someone else walking through the door. Looking up, my watery eyes met the concerned look on Steve’s face.

“Hey shithead, stop screaming. You don’t need to tell everyone in Hawkins about your sister’s lack of participation in game night,” he said to Dustin, ruffling his hair and then muttering for him to go back downstairs. Dustin looked angrily at Steve for a moment before looking between us for a second, muttered something to himself, and then left the room, surprisingly closing my door as he left.

“What’s up with you lately? It’s not like you to miss game night, but you haven’t been to a single one these past few weeks.”

“I’m just not feeling well, Steve, don’t worry about it,” I told him, looking down at the magazine in my lap and trying to will the tears away.

“Don’t try that bullshit with me, (Y/N). I know you better than that, do you really think I’d believe that crap?”

“There’s no bullshit to be had Steve, just go back downstairs, I’ll be fine,” I told him, yet I still refused to make eye contact. So when he sat down on the edge of my bed, put two fingers under my chin, and lifted my head up in order for me to make eye contact, I saw his face immediately soften.

“I’m not gonna go back downstairs until I figure out what’s wrong with my favorite girl.”

It took all of the resolve in the world for me to not break down at those two words, and it still didn’t even work. “Favorite girl?” I repeated, but only in my own head. “There’s no way I’m his favorite girl, he’s lying to me. Everyone always lies to me” I told myself. And in that second it was like the dam was broken. The tears started to fall freely from my face. I curled myself into more of a ball than I already was, which was a surprising feat of human flexibility, if I’m being completely honest. Steve’s arms immediately went around me, pulling us closer to each other, and practically pulling me into his lap.

I didn’t say a word as he stroked my hair and shushed me softly, I simply let out a series of what I would consider disgusting sobs.

He continued whispering to me, little things telling me that I’d be okay, or that he was there for me, or that everything was gonna be fine. As my breathing finally evened out, he hadn’t asked me what was wrong like I had expected, so I knew I had to speak up.

“Why are you even here, Harrington?” I asked him bitterly.

“What do you mean?” he replied, exasperated.

“Why do you even care about me?” I reiterated with a sniffle.

“Why do I care about you? (Y/N) what are you on about? It would take me ages to list all of that back to you.” I didn’t respond, but I allowed myself to relax a bit, leaning now onto his chest instead of holding myself as far away as I could while somehow still being in his lap. “(Y/N) you’re wonderful. You care so much about all of the kids, sometimes I think you out-mom even their own mom’s.” That was greeted with a sharp exhale from my nose which was (correctly) interpreted as a laugh. “You’re fucking badass. You can use a gun, a bat, a hockey stick, and pretty much anything else you can get your hands on to slay monsters, like real life monsters.” He checked my face after this comment, and was lucky he did, because he almost missed the slight curl of my lips. “You never let anybody get in the way of doing what needs to be done. Not even racist douchebags that show up and kick my ass. And you certainly don’t take shit from anyone.” A few more tears fell from my eyes, but he grabbed my face and used his thumbs to wipe them away, looking into my eyes. “And you’ve got a whole group of teenagers sitting down there worried sick about you because you mean so much to all of them.”

I sniffled again and threw my arms around his neck, whispering an almost inaudible, “Thank you.”

“Of course, sweetheart. Now let’s go get you cleaned up so we can finish that game of DnD.” I almost blushed at the pet name he gave me, if he didn’t sweep me up into his arms and carry me to the bathroom so I could rinse my face off. He made sure to grab my blanket from my bed and grabbed my hand to lead me down the stairs.

“Wow, it’s so nice of you to join us,” Dustin said the second we were down the stairs, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Steve shot him a look that said, “shut up or I’ll kill you,” while I just gave him a small smile. Before I even got settled on the couch I was smothered by two bear hugs.

“I missed you (Y/N),” El told me, gripping me in probably the tightest hug I’ve ever had. “You were gone for three weeks!”

“Yeah dude! Don’t leave us alone with these losers for that long ever again!” Max exclaimed, hugging me almost as tight as El was.

I smiled down at both of them, hugging them back just as fiercely. Looking up, I saw the smile Steve had on, but I ignored it in favor of the smiles on my girls’ faces. Ruffling their hair, I removed myself from their grips and went to sit on the couch between Steve and Nancy.

“It’s a good thing you came back (Y/N). I almost killed your brother, and not in the campaign, in real life. I’m pretty sure you’d be the only one who could stop me.” I chuckled to myself and then smiled at Lucas.

“It’s a good thing that I’m back then, huh?”

Will looked up at me this time, “Definitely! I was waiting for you to come down so I could show you this drawing!” I smiled down at him, glancing briefly at Jonathan, only enough to recognize the immense pride on his face at the fact that Will was genuinely happy and smiley. He brought it up to show me a picture that he had drawn of me fighting a monster, a cute little label that pertained to my name at the top. “Steve said you fought a monster and won! And I didn’t even get to see it. So I thought I’d draw it out for you.”

“I love it Will!” I exclaimed, pulling him into a hug and looking at the drawing again. It wasn’t until this second look that I noticed a label by the monster’s head as well. It simply read, “Billy” with a little arrow to indicate that the monster I was beating up was named Billy. I laughed at the naming of the monster and pulled Will into another hug, pressing a light kiss to the top of his head. He grabbed the drawing and placed himself back into his spot.

“(Y/N), you want to hop in on this campaign? We’ve still got a while left to go and we’re in a pretty good spot to add another character?” Mike offered, as he was playing Dungeon Master.

“Yeah, come on (Y/N)! You haven’t actually played in forever!” Dustin added.

The rest of the group added their own chorus of “Yeah”s to try and convince you to join.

“Okay, I guess. But only if I get to be a healer! I’m tired of killing the monsters,” I joked, earning a laugh from everyone in the room.

“Okay, okay, so the group walks up to the tavern in town, hoping for a nice evening away from the fighting for once. But the open the door and see, A MOM, not just A mom, it’s their mom!”

“What?” El asked.

“Mike what are you on about?” Lucas added.

“OH MY GOD, (Y/N)’S GONNA BE LIKE OUR TEAM’S MOM!” Max shouted in realization. The whole group looked at Mike in anticipation. “Well obviously, how else would I have gone about this? It’s perfect, and the perfect position to make her the healer.”

“I mean, technically she’s my sister,” Dustin announced, implying that you couldn’t be his mom.

“See (Y/N), I told you I was gonna kill him.”

Hi,i have this doubt. The duffers said the ending of st5 will be emotional,that some co producers cried knowing the ending and they can’t satisfy everyone with the ending.. what do you think this means? This statements scream to me that someone is gonna die,what do you think?

i think no matter what, the ending will be very emotional so they might not be referring to a main character death but that does sound like someones gonna die. i think the “not everyone will be satisfied” part could be referring to the endgame couples. not even just byler but jancy too.

also i forget her direct quote but millie said that the duffers are too attached to their characters to kill any of them and honestly shes right thats why they keep adding new characters that are written to die from the start instead of killing the og gang. maybe it’ll be different this time since its the last season and its not like theyre killing off an actor and wont be able to work with them again but idk. heres what i think:

will dying honestly just wouldnt make sense at all. they need the satisfaction of this character whos been suffering from the very first episode to get his happy ending or honestly just ANY ending/closure thats not death. i cant see them having this character suffer alone in the upside down, be possessed, be ignored by his friends and feel behind in growing up, fall in love with someone he assumes could never love him back, and then DIE???!! that’d be insane. it would be a very incomplete character arc. i unfortunately think he would be more likely to die than any of the other kids just because he has such a big role next season and killing say lucas or dustin would be so random but i do think it would just not be great writing if they killed him. for so many reasons. like there are deaths that i absolutely did not want but do make sense and are well written in the grand scheme of things, eddie being one of them. i think every death in the show so far abides to that actually, whether i wanted them to die or not but that just wouldnt be the case for will at all.

theres also the fact that every single death in the show has played a big role in the next season so if someone were to die in s5 we’d never see how that affects the characters they were closest to making THEIR character arc incomplete as well. so because of that i dont think it would be jonathan or joyce because we’d never see will cope with that, i dont think it’d be any of the og party kids for the same reason (and i honestly just dont think the duffers would kill the og boys), i dont think itd be hopper bc we wouldnt see el cope, plus she just got him back so thatd just be plain mean. and i dont think mike or will would die bc byler will happen. they wouldnt have SO much queercoding for both of them only to have them kiss maybe once and then one of them dies. itd be a waste of all the time they spent building them up. but i do believe mike will have a near death experience.

i dont think it will be el at all because like millie said, theyd never have the balls to do that, but also this would almost completely ruin byler for me. it objectively wouldnt be wrong because mike has had feelings for will this whole time but i would actually understand those who would be mad at mike for just dating will “out of nowhere” after his gf dies. it’d look so bad and like will, we need to see el truly happy to satisfyingly finish her character arc and that involves being happily single and have a very healthy wholesome friendship with mike. she and will probably would be willing to sacrifice themselves but i dont think anyone would let them go through with it.

i also think a lot of characters are just too random to die. robin, nancy, argyle, murray, lucas, dustin, erica, these are all characters that do play a big role but not one big enough that i think they may die.

then theres max. i dont think she’d die but im not as confident in this one. im not saying she wont wake up. they would have just killed her this season if they werent planning on having her wake up. she will definitely play a part in next season and i think a lot of it may be related to the state shes in. like if shes blind, she will notice things the other characters dont because theyre focusing on what theyve seen whereas max would pay more attention to what theyve heard or touched. it could be a really interesting point of view if shes blind. but it could be a situation where shes still very weak and her body hasnt fully recovered yet so shes more at risk than the others but the reason im hesitant to say she could die is the same reason i dont think hopper would die. like el, lucas is currently mourning the loss of her. she’s not dead but he did lose her and to bring her back only to lose her again for good would just be so brutal.

yall are gonna hate me for this.

this leaves one last person and believe me i am just as upset as you are but fuck i really think it might be steve. every season he is seen as a hero to these kids, hes always putting himself first before any of them and protecting them in every way he can, he always ends up getting his shit rocked, he is a fan favorite. it would be a very impactful death, much more than any of the random characters i mentioned earlier like dustin or erica. it’d have such an impact on people that i think a big reason why it hasnt happened already is because there are people who would literally stop watching if he died. ive NEVER seen a fictional character so universally loved like this so if they were ever going to kill him it’d definitely be the last season. and if they want a super emotional death that gets everyone talking, he is 100% the one to go with.

going back to how we would never see the characters cope with the loss, i think they could get away with it for this one. it would be fucking devastating for dustin especially bc he just lost eddie but steve might have helped him a lot with his death and he could take his advice for steve’s as well. and for robin it would also be so sad but i think she and dustin could find comfort in each other about it.

like i said earlier there are deaths that i really really wish didnt happen, but from a narrative perspective are well written and do make sense. steve makes sense because of how much of an impact hes had on EVERY other character. even if we dont see much interactions with some of them theres still little things that show us how close their relationship is with steve, the kids especially. we know hes closest with dustin, but mike, will, lucas, and max all still have a wholesome relationship with him and one way they showed us that was him regularly letting them into free movies through the back door of scoops ahoy. another one was him giving max and el ice cream and knowing el shouldnt be out. he also was the only one who went to lucas’ game even tho he didnt seem thrilled about his date and couldnt even sit with robin cuz she was in band. also the fact that max wrote him a letter. she didnt write any of the other older kids a letter which shows that she had a closer relationship with him than any of the older kids and one that goes beyond just being with them whenever the worlds going to shit again.

since most people would be on the same page with how close they were with him, this avoids the problem i mentioned earlier of a single character having an unresolved character arc because we never see them mourn. theres not another character i can think of that has this big of a relationship with almost everyone on the show. like robin dying would be so sad for steve but mike wouldnt be that affected. nancy dying would be so sad for mike but lucas wouldnt be that affected. erica dying would be so sad for lucas but will wouldnt be that affected, you get the gist. steve’s death would affect everyone.

i HATE to say it but it checks so many boxes on why it would objectively be a well written death for both the characters and the audience. BUT ID LOVE TO PROVEN WRONG!!!!!
